- 1:04Speaker 3: be on the fly. I need you to make up
- 1:06Speaker 3: a Valentine's Day song. If I were you, I would
- 1:08Speaker 3: look up some lyrics. You know, the person's name. I
- 1:11Speaker 3: would look up words that rhyme with their name. I've
- 1:14Speaker 3: already got it.
- 1:14Speaker 2: I've already in my head.
- 1:16Speaker 3: Tell me a practice, give me a little bit of it.
- 1:18Speaker 2: I can't because it rhymes and I don't want to

- 1:56Speaker 2: How did they have that many things?
- 1:57Speaker 3: So it's not you? How did that many? Thanks the
- 2:00Speaker 3: single A Stranger Things fan out of Arizona officially has
- 2:03Speaker 3: a record breaking collection of two thousand, three hundred and
- 2:07Speaker 3: one things. He was awarded the Guinness World Record for
- 2:10Speaker 3: the largest collection of Stranger Things memorabilia. Listen to him
- 2:13Speaker 3: talk about it.
- 2:14Speaker 4: It's actually surreal. I feel honored, super exciting. I mean
- 2:19Speaker 4: such an iconic brand like Guinness World Records to even
- 2:23Speaker 4: think about being in the book would be a collectible.
- 2:26Speaker 4: I definitely want to have in my collection.
- 2:28Speaker 1: Why it's super easy trivia with the Alabama Show.
- 2:34Speaker 3: Today, Producer Blake, you are my contestant. I can't wait.
- 2:38Speaker 3: Let's go. Well questions. We also have tickets to.
- 2:42Speaker 2: Mariah the Scientist.
- 2:44Speaker 3: If you would like to go see Mariah the Scientist
- 2:47Speaker 3: at Avon Delberry call the show. You can have the tickets.
- 2:50Speaker 3: Producer Blake's about to win them for you, but he
- 2:53Speaker 3: can't have that's true, all right. Question number one? What
- 2:55Speaker 3: is an eight sided shape called octagone? That would be correct?
- 3:03Speaker 5: God?
- 3:04Speaker 3: What animal has the longest neck? That would be the giraffe. Baby,
- 3:10Speaker 3: Good job, buddy. And last one for the wind. How
- 3:13Speaker 3: many letters are in the alphabet? Oh gosh, I'm stuck
- 3:17Speaker 3: between two numbers.
- 3:18Speaker 2: I'm gonna go twenty six.
- 3:20Speaker 3: That's it. Here's here's the real test. Can you tell
- 3:33Speaker 3: me the alphabet backwards? If you give me like zy,
- 3:38Speaker 3: give me like thirty minutes, I'll get it.
- 3:40Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 3:41Speaker 3: One, We're done.
- 3:42Speaker 1: It's three things you need to know with the elem Show.
- 3:46Speaker 3: A vintage clothing pop up is featured at a Hoover
- 3:49Speaker 3: Cookie shop. It's Magic City Mercantile. They are offering a
- 3:53Speaker 3: retail pop up inside the new Cookie plug location at
- 3:56Speaker 3: Hoover's Not Square, so you can eat cookies while you shop.
- 3:59Speaker 3: They'll be he's stocking every few weeks over the next
- 4:02Speaker 3: two months or so, So go up fun, get you
- 4:04Speaker 3: some vintage clothes. Here are the top things people have
- 4:07Speaker 3: been googling about the Winter Olympics. Okay, you hit me
- 4:10Speaker 3: with them. Why do ice skaters wear gloves? It's to
- 4:14Speaker 3: protect their hands from balls. Why do speed skaters wear
- 4:17Speaker 3: glasses to protect their eyes from wind? Or tiny ice
- 4:22Speaker 3: chips that fly up? That's terrifying. Could you imagine getting
- 4:24Speaker 3: stabbed in the eye with the ice chip? The next one,
- 4:28Speaker 3: how do you steer and loge? The answer is with
- 4:31Speaker 3: your calves and by shifting your weight. How fast does
- 4:34Speaker 3: snowboarders go in big air? Up to fifty miles per hour?
- 4:38Speaker 3: And the last most googled question about the Winter Olympics,
- 4:41Speaker 3: how is curling scored? A stone center gets a point?
- 4:46Speaker 3: Rest in peace? James Vanderbeek we know him as Dawson
- 4:49Speaker 3: from Dawson's Creek. He passed away yesterday after his battle
- 4:53Speaker 3: with cancer. He was forty eight years old. His wife
- 4:56Speaker 3: did issue a statement saying that he met his final
- 4:59Speaker 3: days with curR, faith and grace. There is so much
- 5:02Speaker 3: to share regarding his wishes, love for humanity, and the
- 5:05Speaker 3: sacredness of time. Those days will come, but for now
- 5:09Speaker 3: we ask for peaceful privacy as we grieve. He was
- 5:12Speaker 3: diagnosed with stage three cancer in August of twenty twenty three,
- 5:15Speaker 3: but did not announce it until November of twenty twenty four.
- 5:19Speaker 3: Seeing a lot of the celebrities respond to this, he
- 5:22Speaker 3: was such a great guy, like Gabe Supporter of the
- 5:24Speaker 3: lead singer of Cover Starship. His wife tagged James Vanderbeek
- 5:30Speaker 3: in her message about him, saying, when our dog passed
- 5:34Speaker 3: away in the middle of the night, you were the
- 5:35Speaker 3: first person to show up with a shovel, like he
- 5:38Speaker 3: was their best friend and was just such a good guy.
- 5:42Speaker 2: I've read so many things about him. He just seemed
- 5:44Speaker 2: like a genuinely good soul.
- 5:46Speaker 3: We are thinking about his family and I'm sure more
- 5:50Speaker 3: stories will come out about him as time passes, and
- 5:54Speaker 3: we will keep you updated with that. That's three things
- 5:56Speaker 3: you need to know more at the Alabama Show.
- 6:01Speaker 1: You were listening to the Alabama Show. The following program
- 6:04Speaker 1: is on DEMN.
- 6:05Speaker 3: I did the most awkward thing in public this weekend. Well,
- 6:08Speaker 3: I don't know what this means. What does that mean?
- 6:11Speaker 3: By the way, thank you for listening to the Alabama Show.
- 6:14Speaker 3: I'm Alabama with producer Blake and that's me. I was
- 6:17Speaker 3: at a sports bar. Okay. As I was leaving the
- 6:20Speaker 3: sports bar, yeah, I saw my doctor walking out. Which
- 6:27Speaker 3: hold on, which doctor? My regular one that I like
- 6:30Speaker 3: go for a yearly check up. The one of calls
- 6:33Speaker 3: is it your general practitioner? Is that what you call him?
- 6:35Speaker 3: I think yeah. So he was definitely trying to be incognito.
- 6:39Speaker 3: He was wearing a ball cap and his favorite sports
- 6:42Speaker 3: team jersey, so I almost didn't recognize him. He was
- 6:46Speaker 3: walking out behind me and I did a double take
- 6:48Speaker 3: and I went, Hey, you're my doctor, aren't you. And
- 6:50Speaker 3: he goes he like hung his head down.
- 6:53Speaker 2: He goes, yeah, you're the reason he was trying to
- 6:56Speaker 2: be incognado.
- 6:58Speaker 3: And he's like, how's it going? And I said, I'm good,
- 7:00Speaker 3: how are you? That goes good? And then as I'm
- 7:03Speaker 3: like walking to the car, I yell across the parking lot.
- 7:06Speaker 3: I went, okay, I ended up getting my gallbladder.
- 7:09Speaker 6: Room gosh, oh my god.
- 7:13Speaker 7: And he goes, oh cool and like up because I
- 7:17Speaker 7: went to him last year when I was having the
- 7:19Speaker 7: pain and we did the X ray and he's like, oh,
- 7:22Speaker 7: we'll just keep an eye on it.
- 7:23Speaker 3: But that was Yeah, he was trying to hide from you.
- 7:28Speaker 3: Specifically went if he's married.
- 7:30Speaker 2: He went, I just hope I don't see Alabama out
- 7:32Speaker 2: in publicis he is married?
- 7:34Speaker 3: And it's almost time for my yearly, so it's been
- 7:37Speaker 3: a whole year since I've seen him. So I just
- 7:38Speaker 3: started yelling all the medical things that have happened over
- 7:42Speaker 3: the past year across the parking lot. And I'm like,
- 7:44Speaker 3: he should have charged me for that. Write this down.
- 7:47Speaker 3: I'll see you next week.
- 7:50Speaker 6: There.
- 7:51Speaker 3: Also, my blood work came back good from no But
- 7:56Speaker 3: after I left, I thought about this. I was like,
- 7:58Speaker 3: I bet so many patients see him in public because
- 8:01Speaker 3: we're in a small town and probably do the same
- 8:06Speaker 3: thing that I did. Like, I would hate to be
- 8:08Speaker 3: a doctor because people will come up to you and
- 8:10Speaker 3: ask questions. So here's my question for you. Okay, if
- 8:13Speaker 3: you call the show eight three three five oh one Bama.
- 8:16Speaker 3: What is your job and what is the most annoying
- 8:21Speaker 3: things that people ask you when you're not at work?
- 8:23Speaker 3: Like for us, it's hey, can you get me concert tickets?
- 8:26Speaker 5: To this?
- 8:27Speaker 3: Everybody we know? I also get the one. All you
- 8:31Speaker 3: do is talk? Yeah, all you do it? What else
- 8:34Speaker 3: do you do? You have an easy job. You just
- 8:35Speaker 3: work for four hours a day. That is not true.
- 8:37Speaker 3: We work a lot longer. We have a lot of meetings,
- 8:39Speaker 3: We do a lot of planning. It is not just
- 8:41Speaker 3: coming in and talking for four hours and leaving, although
- 8:44Speaker 3: I wish it was, some beast. What is your job
- 8:46Speaker 3: and what is the most annoying thing that people ask
- 8:49Speaker 3: you or to say about your job? Eight three three
- 8:52Speaker 3: five oh one Bama is the number that's eight three
- 8:55Speaker 3: three five oh one two two sixty two if.
- 8:57Speaker 1: You were listening to the Alabama show.
- 9:00Speaker 3: Andrew, what's your job and what's the annoying thing people
- 9:03Speaker 3: say to you about it?
- 9:04Speaker 2: I'm a mechanic and people are constantly asking me car questions.
- 9:08Speaker 3: But I don't work on cars. I have specifically messaged
- 9:12Speaker 3: you on Facebook about one of my cars, So I
- 9:15Speaker 3: am one of those.
- 9:18Speaker 4: Yes, I work on heavy equipment, and everybody's like, I
- 9:21Speaker 4: got a Toyota tunder.
- 9:23Speaker 3: I don't care about cars, work on my golf cart
- 9:27Speaker 3: or what I will. Yes, okay, you just have to
- 9:30Speaker 3: be home one day when I come back. Thanks for calling, buddy.
- 9:35Speaker 2: Your peacocks are keeping me company if I randomly show up.
- 9:39Speaker 3: All right, Anna, Okay, what's your job and what's the
- 9:43Speaker 3: most annoying thing people say to you about it?
- 9:45Speaker 5: So I work in accounting at a car dealershift and
- 9:48Speaker 5: everyone always says, oh, you must have a nice car,
- 9:52Speaker 5: and I'm like my brother in Christ, I got.
- 10:00Speaker 3: It's got five little leaks. I have to check the
- 10:02Speaker 3: tires every morning. But thanks.
- 10:05Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean we're driving on pumps and dreams. But yeah,
- 10:08Speaker 5: it's really not car.
- 10:09Speaker 3: I don't know what it is. People always assume certain
- 10:12Speaker 3: jobs make so much money. People think that me and
- 10:15Speaker 3: producer Blaker rich. But I haven't paid my power bill
- 10:18Speaker 3: for two months. It might be cut off tomorrow.
- 10:20Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 10:23Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm rolling in it, but it ain't money. I'm
- 10:24Speaker 3: rolling in Yeah, and thank you.
- 10:27Speaker 6: Yes, that's it.
- 10:29Speaker 1: You're listening to the Alabama Show on demand eight three.

- 10:35Speaker 3: the show. Kaylin, good morning. What's your job and what's
- 10:37Speaker 3: the annoying thing people say to you about it?
- 10:40Speaker 8: Well, it's not technically a job, but I'm student teaching
- 10:43Speaker 8: right now. And whenever I tell anybody that I'm in
- 10:45Speaker 8: college to be a teacher, I always get the comment
- 10:48Speaker 8: of oh, you're such a saint and you have so
- 10:51Speaker 8: much patience, how do you do it?
- 10:54Speaker 3: And you don't have any patient and are you going
- 10:56Speaker 3: home pacing about these kids? You can be true. My
- 11:00Speaker 3: cousin teaches second grade.
- 11:02Speaker 8: I know I have patience, but it's like anybody needs
- 11:06Speaker 8: patience for their jobs.
- 11:07Speaker 3: Is there is there a kid that is in the
- 11:09Speaker 3: class or helping right now that really irks you and
- 11:13Speaker 3: kids on your nerves? What is the worst kid? What
- 11:16Speaker 3: did they do? Don't give me any names, but what
- 11:18Speaker 3: does the kid do?
- 11:20Speaker 6: It was?
- 11:21Speaker 8: It's not in my current class, but I did have
- 11:24Speaker 8: a class last year in kindergarten and he liked to
- 11:28Speaker 8: hold hands because he get lost. But he did lick
- 11:32Speaker 8: me one day.

- 12:09Speaker 3: up from five dollars a box to six dollars a
- 12:11Speaker 3: box nationwide. Don't get mad. There are times and dates

- 12:38Speaker 3: famous from his music. The director said that they didn't
- 12:41Speaker 3: know what they were going to get on film, but
- 12:43Speaker 3: he said we captured over the course of a year.
- 12:45Speaker 3: What they got surprised him, and there were moments that
- 12:48Speaker 3: were thrilling, terrifying, and hilarious and often all three at
- 12:52Speaker 3: the same time. It will be on Netflix sometime this year,
- 12:56Speaker 3: but we don't have the official date yet, so once

- 13:30Speaker 3: you'll see all the posts on social media today and
- 13:33Speaker 3: we are just thinking about his family because he's a dad,
- 13:36Speaker 3: he is a husband, he was forty eight years old.

- 13:59Speaker 3: Producer is delivering a bouquet of flowers to a teacher.
- 14:03Speaker 3: We had a nomination. We don't want to say who
- 14:05Speaker 3: the teacher is yet, but he's gonna go sing at
- 14:09Speaker 3: school right now, so I'm gonna let you leave. That's sure.
- 14:12Speaker 3: What's awesome. You get to leave for may for a minute.
- 14:16Speaker 3: He will be doing a telegram more to come in

- 14:25Speaker 3: a bit nervous, yeah, because we tried to call the
- 14:28Speaker 3: school and tell him that he was on the way
- 14:30Speaker 3: yesterday and nobody answered, and I left a voicemail and
- 14:32Speaker 3: nobody called me back.
- 14:33Speaker 2: Well, we're gonna hope for the best, and I don't
- 14:36Speaker 2: go to jail today anyway.
- 14:39Speaker 3: Just keep listening. We'll check in with Blake more.
- 14:41Speaker 1: Next The Alabama Show on demand free on the iHeartRadio

- 14:47Speaker 3: Three three five oh one, Bama is the number to
- 14:49Speaker 3: call the show. We have Nicole on the line. We
- 14:51Speaker 3: are sending producer Blake out to a very special person
- 14:54Speaker 3: today to deliver flowers for Valentine's Day. He is keep
- 14:58Speaker 3: it Blake and Nicole, Well, you wanted to nominate somebody
- 15:02Speaker 3: for him to deliver flowers too?
- 15:04Speaker 9: I want to nominate my son's teacher.
- 15:06Speaker 3: Oh, I love this. Okay, what grade is your son in?
- 15:10Speaker 9: Second?
- 15:10Speaker 3: Ooh girl, my little cousin is the second grade teacher.
- 15:13Speaker 3: I've heard stories of those little paral kids. Okay, And
- 15:18Speaker 3: what is so special about your son's teacher.
- 15:21Speaker 9: Well, Miss David. She takes her time with the students.
- 15:23Speaker 9: My son is very, very, very sensitive. He's an only child,
- 15:28Speaker 9: and so a lot of times he does struggle with
- 15:31Speaker 9: his emotions. And although he's very bright, I think that
- 15:35Speaker 9: sometimes he is misunderstood. And we've had experiences with teachers
- 15:38Speaker 9: in the past who kind of had that you know,
- 15:41Speaker 9: I've got mind for you've got to get yours attitude
- 15:43Speaker 9: or I've been there, done that attitude because they've been
- 15:45Speaker 9: teaching so long. Yes, since she's been in her classroom.
- 15:49Speaker 3: He has glories.
- 15:50Speaker 9: She's patient, she's loving, she's very conscious with her words,
- 15:54Speaker 9: and I can tell that just one of the conversations
- 15:56Speaker 9: he's explaining that she has with the other students in
- 15:58Speaker 9: the classroom, making them all feel special, feel cared about,
- 16:02Speaker 9: and feel like someone's really in their corner when their
- 16:04Speaker 9: parents can't be there.
- 16:05Speaker 5: She's literally the.
- 16:06Speaker 9: Parent when you can't you know, be the parent with them.
- 16:09Speaker 9: I don't want her to know that she's appreciated.
- 16:11Speaker 3: You are so awesome. I love you for this. If
- 16:14Speaker 3: Producer Blake shows up dressed like Cupid and says he's
- 16:18Speaker 3: coming to sing a telegram for a teacher, are they
- 16:20Speaker 3: going to like tackle him and not let them in
- 16:22Speaker 3: the building?
- 16:25Speaker 9: More would likely? What I could do is call them
- 16:27Speaker 9: be more than like. We'll call them to the front.
- 16:30Speaker 9: They have an area right in the front where it's
- 16:32Speaker 9: completely blocked out, so it would keep you know, the
- 16:35Speaker 9: students from coming out or coming in. It's a safety precaution. Yeah,
- 16:38Speaker 9: but they would call her to the front so that
- 16:40Speaker 9: she could receive it.
- 16:41Speaker 3: What is this teacher's name?
- 16:43Speaker 9: Miss Davis?
- 16:44Speaker 3: Miss Davis, Okay, we are sending producer Blake there right now.
- 16:49Speaker 3: I'm not going to say the name of the school
- 16:51Speaker 3: because I don't want people showing up trying to find
- 16:54Speaker 3: producer Blake or messing with the school. But we will
- 16:56Speaker 3: talk to producer Blake live from Miss Dave. This is

- 17:49Speaker 9: We had to go through that process.
- 17:50Speaker 3: Can I get a re enactment producer, Blake? Of the
- 17:53Speaker 3: song you sang to miss Davis? It was not good
- 17:56Speaker 3: sing it. I don't even know what I said, Miss Davis.

- 18:40Speaker 3: video in my Facebook Messenger right now. And this is
- 18:44Speaker 3: the moment producer Blake was on FaceTime with Miss Davis.
- 18:48Speaker 10: You missed today of all these thank you for being awesome.

- 19:36Speaker 3: Yes, do you know?
- 19:38Speaker 4: All right?
- 19:39Speaker 6: So I I just had to come in here. It's
- 19:40Speaker 6: been eating me up since this morning. I do want
- 19:43Speaker 6: to come in and apologize to you Alabama specifically. It
- 19:48Speaker 6: takes a big man to admit he's wrong. I'm usually
- 19:51Speaker 6: not that guy.
- 19:52Speaker 3: Did you listen to the segment? Yes, it was so bad.
- 19:55Speaker 3: It was so bad.
- 19:56Speaker 6: And I when when we found out the teacher was
- 19:59Speaker 6: not there to receive Producer Blake's song and dance and
- 20:02Speaker 6: flowers and singing Carol, I was thinking we should just leave,
- 20:07Speaker 6: we should come back.
- 20:08Speaker 3: But then we're already in it.
- 20:09Speaker 6: The custodians walking us to her office, and the subsuit
- 20:13Speaker 6: is already facetiming because I think she was saying the
- 20:15Speaker 6: class is here, hey, we miss you.
- 20:17Speaker 3: If she was sick, she was looked like she was
- 20:20Speaker 3: having a good time to her. Did you make it
- 20:23Speaker 3: into the classroom.
- 20:24Speaker 6: Yeah, we got in the classroom. I took a photo,
- 20:27Speaker 6: but I really felt bad because we just bungled the
- 20:29Speaker 6: whole thing that she wasn't there.
- 20:32Speaker 3: I fusd it Producer Blake and Dano for not calling
- 20:35Speaker 3: me while they were walking up. But you still did. Okay.
- 20:38Speaker 4: Video was good.
- 20:38Speaker 6: I'd rather have you because remember what happened last year.
- 20:41Speaker 6: We gave it to a lady and she immediately goes
- 20:43Speaker 6: to video producer Blake and then goes what your grandparents do,
- 20:46Speaker 6: or it goes in.
- 20:47Speaker 3: Her pocket, it goes to the floor.
- 20:49Speaker 6: So I'm like, we gotta get video of it, even
- 20:51Speaker 6: though she's on FaceTime. But I thought of ten more
- 20:54Speaker 6: things to do differently in case we go back tomorrow
- 20:56Speaker 6: or in case we do something again.
- 20:58Speaker 3: We did get good video all so shout out to
- 21:01Speaker 3: Epic Elementary for being so awesome. We delivered flowers to
- 21:04Speaker 3: miss Davis. She is a second grade teacher. Her son,
- 21:09Speaker 3: the Logans, one of the kids in her class. His
- 21:11Speaker 3: mom called and nominated her and spoke so highly of her.
- 21:14Speaker 3: We aired that earlier. She sounds like an amazing teacher.
- 21:18Speaker 3: She was.
- 21:18Speaker 2: She seems very nice. She time, Yeah, she.
- 21:23Speaker 7: Need a day off.
- 21:24Speaker 3: Also, shout out to producer Blake, who is actually in
- 21:27Speaker 3: a band and a musician who produces music. And we
- 21:30Speaker 3: said sing a telegram to the teacher, and he came
- 21:34Speaker 3: up with the most awful song man as everards were.
- 21:38Speaker 3: They were just dumbfounded.
- 21:39Speaker 6: They would have rather sat through a ten hour rally
- 21:42Speaker 6: in the in the in the gym.
- 21:45Speaker 2: Look, I'm not meant for telegrams. I'm meant for like
- 21:49Speaker 2: practiced rehrs last year.
- 21:50Speaker 3: You sanging justin Biebers song. What happened today? She said?
- 21:54Speaker 6: Just you said make it up. I think we need
- 21:56Speaker 6: to do over. I think we need to go back,
- 21:58Speaker 6: I really do.
- 21:59Speaker 3: We probably will. We'll take her to all Jesus. Anyway,
- 22:03Speaker 3: Thank you, Dina. Thank you for going out there. You
- 22:05Speaker 3: didn't have to meet them in videotape, so thank you
- 22:07Speaker 3: for being the ogdo and going out to help us
- 22:09Speaker 3: with this big gotta be better. Yeah, but you're still
- 22:11Speaker 3: getting scolded now. We got to do better now.
- 22:14Speaker 1: If you're listening to The Alabama Show on Demand.
- 22:17Speaker 3: We are done today. But before we leave, I just
- 22:19Speaker 3: want you to know we have something really fun planned
- 22:22Speaker 3: for tomorrow.
- 22:24Speaker 2: Are you going to give any hints, tell me anything
- 22:26Speaker 2: about it?
- 22:26Speaker 3: Tomorrow's Friday the thirteenth, Oh my gosh. Okay, so anyway,
- 22:31Speaker 3: make sure you're listening tomorrow morning. We'll be back at
- 22:33Speaker 3: six am. Enjoy the rest of your day. More chances
