- 0:15Speaker 1: Welcome back to Greek gust. Today we are reading in source.
- 0:21It's sort take your time, it's okay, sounded out one
- 0:25stuff okay, and sorcelled ensorceled in the Earth all right.
- 0:35I even said it out loud properly before this.
- 0:37Speaker 2: I don't know why I had such a hard time
- 0:39in Sorcelled in the Earth, which is from the author
- 0:43of the previous episode that we've done. Our previous story
- 0:45we've covered called it brethese it bleeds, it breeds. And
- 0:48what makes us so unique and so fun is that
- 0:50this story was actually posted on our subreddit, the r
- 0:54slash creepcast subreddit, which is kind of cool where you know,
- 0:58it would be really neat if the if the reddit
- 1:00could be a place kind of like our slash no
- 1:02Sleep where people can post stuff. And I do see
- 1:04we've seen other fans post stories in here as well,
- 1:07so I think that it's probably gonna be more common
- 1:10that we start reading stuff from actually our viewers or
- 1:13authors that come here and post stories as well, which
- 1:16is really cool.
- 1:18Speaker 1: Yeah. So the author of this story, his name is
- 1:20Travis Coleman. He goes by Imperial Incentive on Creepypasta and
- 1:26here on Reddit. He posted this story to Creepypasta, and
- 1:30he posted it to our subreddit once again. He posts
- 1:34a ton on the creepypasta wi. He has his own
- 1:38profile page he keeps up that talks about like new
- 1:40stories he's writing, and we talked about it before when
- 1:44we covered it Breeds It bleeds that he has a
- 1:47huge body of work, like this guy writes about a
- 1:50ton of different stories, a ton of different horror concepts, which,
- 1:53of course we'll have a link to his description, his
- 1:55page and everything, so you feel free to check him
- 1:58out there. But I also didn't realize then how like
- 2:02influential this guy was in the creepypasta space. Like this
- 2:05guy wrote flesh Gate, which was a story that I
- 2:07heard passed around vocally that I don't even think I've
- 2:10ever read the original story, but this is the guy
- 2:12who wrote it. And he also wrote some other famous
- 2:15ones I've heard of, like a small piece of Lead
- 2:18Abraham's Dagger ad nauseum, ad mortem ad infinum. Like this
- 2:23guy has a lot of big stories under his belt
- 2:25and he writes a ton, so him like an author
- 2:30that we already know we like and is that prolific
- 2:33posting his story to our subreddit is really cool. We
- 2:37appreciate it. I'm stuck.
- 2:38Speaker 2: And from the comments and stuff too, it seems like
- 2:40he hasn't written He hasn't written anything in a while,
- 2:42so this is just something new that apparently he's been
- 2:45wanting to write. So it's really cool that, you know,
- 2:49getting the influence to come in and just be like,
- 2:51fuck it, I'm gonna write a new story. It's just
- 2:53a lot of fun and it's gonna be cool to
- 2:55dive into this new story.
- 2:57Speaker 1: Yep, yeah, I'm excited. You'll read his off note too. Yeah,
- 3:01we'll read the author's note. He says, hey, fam, uh,
- 3:05just so fine to start out like, hey, fam, this
- 3:10is gonna be a weird one. I've been meaning to
- 3:12write an abstract story about this topic for a long time.
- 3:15I want to thank Junji Eto for the Enigma of
- 3:17Amagara Fault. Banger by the way, such a good one
- 3:20cardboard computer for Kentucky Route zero. Another banger by the way,
- 3:25Blind Ascent by James M to Board not Familiar, and
- 3:27the late and great David Lynch. I hope you enjoy it.
- 3:30And then he puts content warning claustrophobia, body degradation, and
- 3:34self harm. Seriously, please stop whatever this makes you uncomfortable enjoy,
- 3:38which is exactly what we want to die. That's awesome.
- 3:41This has to be some I mean as to be
- 3:43top two.
- 3:43Speaker 2: He says, let's go spelunking as well, So I mean
- 3:46this is going to be a fun cave diving story,
- 3:48which you.
- 3:48Speaker 1: Know me well, I love.
- 3:49Speaker 2: I love a nice claustrophobic nama I and claustrophobic is high.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Hell, the cave stuff's fun. And then the uh enigma
- 3:58of Amagara Fault and Kentucky Route zero are both like,
- 4:01you know, cave earth related, so I imagine that's where
- 4:05he's dry. Enough of this is this is dope. I'm
- 4:08very excited for this that we've seen a lot of
- 4:10fan made stories before, and there's kind of like it's
- 4:14a weird place because we really want to cover and
- 4:16we really want to talk about him, but also if
- 4:18someone we know is going to be watching the show,
- 4:20I really don't want to be mean to him. Hunter
- 4:22doesn't care to be mean to him, but I don't
- 4:23want to be mean to him. So it's kind of like,
- 4:25you know, want to wait for something special come along
- 4:28to kick it off. And now we have an author
- 4:30who we know, we like posting, and this seems like
- 4:32a perfect opportunity to start with creep cast based story.
- 4:35So I am very excited to get into it.
- 4:38Speaker 2: A creep cast original, but not really creep It's.
- 4:42Speaker 1: Only we had nothing to do with it. Absolutely not ours.
- 4:46But that's page on the internet. Creep cast original, creep
- 4:50past original, one hundred percent. Let's get it. Let's let's
- 4:53get it, let's get into it. Be sure to get
- 4:55you to show us love on audio platforms. Thank you
- 4:57guys for letting us crush Bin Shapiro and other political podcasters.
- 5:02I don't even have specific beef with any of them.
- 5:05I just need to kill everyone who is also on
- 5:07the leaderboard, So thank you all for the support to
- 5:09show up over there. It's on a.
- 5:11Speaker 2: Spotify, Apple podcast and even YouTube as a way of
- 5:15charting it now too, So we just appreciate the love
- 5:17of support there, guys.
- 5:18Speaker 1: Thank you so much. And how about you get you
- 5:21get nice and cozy and let's get into the story.
- 5:24Let's go and sorcelled in the earth. It speaks to
- 5:27me at nights. Sometimes most nights, I lay bathed in
- 5:31the empty glow of light from my phone waiting for
- 5:33a message or comment to invalidate the sense of loneliness
- 5:36that has infused every aspect of my life. Since I
- 5:39got the news, I've lost whatever spark was there that
- 5:41brought light into my life. I don't feel at home
- 5:44in this world anymore. Sometimes the voice is the only
- 5:48time I hear someone talk Somedays. The voice is patient.
- 5:52It never speaks out of turn. It always waits for
- 5:55that precise threshold between the waking world and a fitful
- 5:58night of sleep to speak those honeyed words to me.
- 6:02Speaker 3: I'm here waiting.
- 6:04Speaker 1: I wake up and rush to the bathroom. I managed
- 6:06to make it to the toilet before the sickness spews
- 6:09out of me. It's small victories like this that make
- 6:12the days worth living. For the first few times, I
- 6:15had to wash the bed sheets and steam clean the
- 6:17floor because I wasn't prepared. But now I've mastered that ritual.
- 6:22Get to the bathroom as soon as you wake up,
- 6:24flush the contents without looking at them, Try to ignore
- 6:27the growing fear that something else is terribly wrong. No fuss,
- 6:31no muss, There's no need for doctors. I already know
- 6:35how sick I am. I've perfected the systems. Vomit in
- 6:39the morning, wait two hours before eating unless you want
- 6:42to lose it. Minutes later, go to work and wait
- 6:44for something to change, wait for it to eventually get better.
- 6:49I know nothing's going to change, so that's why I
- 6:51decided to seek out the source of the voice. Like
- 6:55a magnet to a loadstone, I find myself drawn to it,
- 7:00the epicenter, far away from the civilized world. It takes
- 7:03days to reach the location, traveling through the desert by car,
- 7:07but the voice beckons me closer every night now and
- 7:10I never stray from the path. I sleep in the
- 7:13cabin in my car. It's easier than a motel. In
- 7:17the morning, I simply open the door and spill biless
- 7:20and red flecked vomit onto the dry sand and cracked earth,
- 7:23and drive away. No pesky clean up, no one to
- 7:26worry over it. At the end of the third day,
- 7:29I reach my destination. I know what this place is
- 7:32the instant I see it. It's an oasis after days
- 7:36of sand and sun. Being my only companion. I look
- 7:39at my phone, seven texts, five miss calls, one voicemail
- 7:43message that is three minutes long, and a twenty six
- 7:46percent charge left on my battery. I don't bother to
- 7:50check any of them. I turn off my cell to
- 7:52conserve those last precious minutes. It's too late to turn back.
- 7:56That door shut to me now, but another one is
- 7:58opening up. This place is a message. This place is
- 8:02part of a system of messages that want me to
- 8:05listen to what it has to say. It demands my attention,
- 8:08and I give it freely. It is hidden away from
- 8:11the rest of the world, like a pearl peeking out
- 8:13from the silt of the sea. Only I can see
- 8:16it amongst the floatsums and jetsam. The only barrier preventing
- 8:19me from delving deeper is a single chain draped across
- 8:22the entrance to a mind with a warning sign. I
- 8:25trespass it easily and step away from the light of
- 8:27the day into the darkness of the earth. As I
- 8:31crossed that threshold between the waking world and my final destination,
- 8:34I can hear that the voice is sending me a message.
- 8:37This is the first time I've heard it, heard her clearly.
- 8:42The message is important, but it feels like it's only
- 8:45being transmitted to me. She says, I'm here waiting for you.
- 8:52So he lost something there. At the beginning, it says,
- 8:56since I've had the news, the light's left for my life.
- 8:58I don't feel at home in this world more. And
- 9:00then he begins to vomit after the voice has heard.
- 9:02I also like that the voice is capitalized every time
- 9:05it shows up, like it's a proper noun. And now
- 9:08he's personified it as a her. So I could be off,
- 9:12but it sounds like he lost a loved one right
- 9:16because he says waiting for a message to invalidate the
- 9:19sense of loneliness since I got the news, So perhaps
- 9:24like a loved one side and now like a woman
- 9:26or like a romantic figures being personified at the bottom
- 9:29of this cave that he's traveling to. Yeah, I mean
- 9:32it seems almost.
- 9:33Speaker 2: I mean I could be wrong as well, but there
- 9:35was a couple pieces there that THO was interesting. Like
- 9:38when he's like he throws up in the morning, he
- 9:41doesn't look at the contents, goes on.
- 9:43Speaker 1: You know, he's basically being sick. But then he starts
- 9:45going to more details about like red flaky.
- 9:48Speaker 2: It almost sounds like he's afflicted by something, you know, Oh,
- 9:52like I don't know if you know if you read
- 9:53it the same way. But it's almost like if he
- 9:55looks at the contents in the bowl, it'll fuck him.
- 9:57Speaker 1: Up or something.
- 9:58Speaker 2: Yeah, not even not even the fact that it's gross,
- 10:00but there's something like abnormal about even the thrub.
- 10:04Speaker 1: It doesn't even seem that he's like throwing up a
- 10:07human amount or like it's just his bile coming up.
- 10:10It's like there's a thing in it, like there's extra Yeah,
- 10:13there's something about like the red flags, and now he
- 10:16can't look at it. He has it down to his
- 10:17science stuff like that. It's like he's physically sick, but
- 10:21in a supernatural sense if he doesn't do what the
- 10:23voice wants him to right. I linger at the threshold
- 10:26between the sun and the dark for a moment longer
- 10:28than a standard blink. I lie and tell myself that
- 10:31there's nothing left for me here. I filled the magnetic
- 10:34poll calling me deeper, but still I hesitate. Should I
- 10:38check my messages and see who was trying to reach me? No,
- 10:42I want to conserve the batteries. It looks dark in
- 10:45the minds, and I always have had a fear of
- 10:47the dark. The thought stirs up a memory from my childhood,
- 10:51when I was six. Every few weeks, I would creep
- 10:54into my parents room in the dark at the night,
- 10:56stand by my mom's side of the bed. I was
- 10:59too scared to sleep in the dark of my own
- 11:00room and too terrified to wake her and disappoint her
- 11:03by telling her that I'm afraid falling asleep. As a result,
- 11:07I would stand by her side of the bed and
- 11:09hope that she wakes up on her own and ask
- 11:11me what's wrong so I don't have to feel like
- 11:14I'm bothering her. Sometimes I would stand there for what
- 11:17felt like hours, waiting for her to save me for
- 11:19my paralysis of that indecision that sounds like that immediately
- 11:25sounds like something you did as a kid. I did
- 11:27do that. Actually, I'm not even joking. I would get
- 11:29freaked out of my room.
- 11:30Speaker 2: I would stand my I would stay my mom, or
- 11:32I'd go really close to I'd be like ah, and
- 11:36she'd like fucking like freak out, be like whaw because
- 11:38I'd be so close to her face. Or I would
- 11:41go into a room and I would sleep on the
- 11:42floor next to her bed. In the morning, she would
- 11:44like step on me and I'd be like oh, and
- 11:46she'd be like oh, my god, I'm suck. But the
- 11:50big the biggest thing was I was like I would
- 11:51be freaked out. I'd go and I'd whisper to my mom,
- 11:53but I didn't want to wake up my dad because
- 11:55if my dad woke up, he'd be like, oh Dade, yeah,
- 11:59like raise hell for sure.
- 12:02Speaker 1: But yeah, I did that all the fucking time when
- 12:04I was younger. You gotta strategize how you really do.
- 12:10Speaker 2: You have to strategize how you're like, I'm going to
- 12:13die of a heart attack.
- 12:14Speaker 1: I'm so afraid of my room of whatever.
- 12:16Speaker 2: You know, it could have been a dream or who
- 12:18knows what it is, but yeah, going into the room
- 12:21really like slowly turning the fucking the door so there's
- 12:24no sound of that. My dad also had like this
- 12:26industrial fan that would be blaring in there, so it'd
- 12:29be like this huge like wind tunnel in the room,
- 12:31and I'd just be out to my mom. Mom, Mom, Yeah,
- 12:38she would freak the fuck out.
- 12:39Speaker 1: I always felt terrible. The funniest part is you curled
- 12:45up on the floor like a dog.
- 12:46Speaker 2: I did, like like a like a shitsu or something
- 12:49like that.
- 12:49Speaker 1: I literally curled up at a ball.
- 12:51Speaker 2: My mom would wake up in the morning, and now
- 12:53you know, you're you're small, You're just a kid. You
- 12:56don't think, and no one like looks at the floor
- 12:57before they get out of bed whatever.
- 12:59Speaker 1: So yeah, she would step on me.
- 13:00Speaker 2: I'd be like, ah, or my dad woul get pissed
- 13:05because Dad would wake up really early for that construction
- 13:07work and.
- 13:08Speaker 1: He'd be like, what the hell are you doing here? Well,
- 13:12you're doing What the hell do you think you're doing? Boy,
- 13:17that's probably why your grandfather tried to shoot you. Yeah,
- 13:20that's probably when your grandfather accidentally shot the dog. Because
- 13:23you know, you two look so much alike. I bet
- 13:25you're that one surprised me at all if you were like, yeah, turns,
- 13:27I was one of the kids I wore like the
- 13:28ears and the tail, like I would bark at people
- 13:31at school. I wish I had courage.
- 13:34Speaker 2: I wish I wish I had an inmblance of courage
- 13:36like that, dude, I'm not a coward.
- 13:39Speaker 1: Maybe your grandpa was trying to save us, maybe fucking
- 13:43maybe dude, maybe just go to God, just go to
- 13:49God to go come on. Maybe if I can kill
- 13:56him before he becomes the sinner, I can save him.
- 13:59I can't save all of them.
- 14:00Speaker 2: I've given him four bars of chocolate, but he hasn't
- 14:02died yet.
- 14:05Speaker 1: You kept leaving the door open and stuff like that open.
- 14:09You run away, Yeah, go on, get I should get
- 14:14lost in the woods. I really shouldn't have left. I
- 14:21don't stand at the entrance of that mine for hours,
- 14:24paralyzed by indecision. It takes seconds to make up my
- 14:26mind without any more hesitation. I took my phone into
- 14:30my jeans and venture into the darkness without checking my
- 14:32notifications or listening to that message. It's an obvious choice.
- 14:37It's clearly August, and the air to the mine is welcoming,
- 14:40cool and comparison to the stale heat of my shipbox car,
- 14:43whose ac broke down years ago that I never got
- 14:46around to repairing. I began walking into the darkness and
- 14:50I leave the world behind. The air is thick with
- 14:52particulates and motes of light flitting amongst the darkness that
- 14:56plays off the sun. The light behind me illuminates my
- 14:59path downwards, but with each step forward, my world grows darker.
- 15:04The mine looks like it has been abandoned, with dust
- 15:06building on equipment and spiderwebs occasionally acting as an ethereal
- 15:10bearer to entry that catches my hair and make my
- 15:13skin crawl. Each step takes me slightly downwards along the
- 15:17sand and shifting earth. I feel my feet slip out
- 15:20for me, and I catch myself before I can roll
- 15:22my ankle. If I'm not careful, I can easily injure
- 15:25myself here. But it just as in my environment, that
- 15:28is a danger. It isn't just difficult terrain. Something is
- 15:33wrong with my ear. Till my head to the side
- 15:36and I feel something tripping out, staining my shirt. A
- 15:40taxia washes over me like a wave and mixes with
- 15:43a cocklear fluid. This could be enough to make me
- 15:46turn back. But what will I be returning to? Who
- 15:50is waiting for me after what I did? Why didn't
- 15:54I go? No one's going to miss me. I continue
- 15:58my descent. I walk into drunken zig zag further into
- 16:02the darkness, deeper into the depths. The world sways back
- 16:06and forth. No matter how hard I try to focus
- 16:08and swallow down the nausea, it rises back up in
- 16:11my throat. I'm dizzy, but determined. I've come too far
- 16:15to turn back. Now I have to go further into
- 16:18the mind. That's a I used to get really bad
- 16:22earaches when I was a kid, and I remember, like
- 16:24I think I was ever to the point where like
- 16:25my ears would be dripping fluid, but I remember feeling
- 16:28like they were full of something and like the overwhelming pain.
- 16:31It's like it's like a debilitating headache.
- 16:34Speaker 2: Also going further and further into a claustrophobic nightmare. We
- 16:38were equilibriums fucked up in your nauseus would be.
- 16:40Speaker 1: Not a vibe, would not recommend. It's almost like he
- 16:49was throwing up and now he gets closer and now
- 16:50his ear is dripping and he hears the voice louder.
- 16:52It's almost like he's changing as he gets closer and
- 16:56closer to what the source is. It's reminiscent. Uh well,
- 17:01I mean may be a little biased because it also
- 17:03involves a cave, but it reminds me of like in Graylock,
- 17:06those workers who went into the mountain, you know, being
- 17:09down there. But it's also very reminiscent because it is
- 17:13like I'll say it for you, love Crafty and that
- 17:21there's a there's a voice in the mountain that's calling
- 17:24them and they like feel the knee to like long
- 17:27after it. It feels fair. What's the word cosmic? It
- 17:31feels like, you know, some greater entity beneath cool. As
- 17:35I wabbled deeper into the growing darkness, I noticed that
- 17:38the walls, which I couldn't reach with both my arms
- 17:41outstretched or slowly starting to close in on me. And
- 17:45a nerving sense of being underground is growing. While the
- 17:47tunnel ahead is an arrowing, after a few hundred feet,
- 17:51I can touch the sides. I turn back and look
- 17:54at the entrance one last time before continuing on the
- 17:57opening is a pinprick of light amongst sea of dark.
- 18:01I am so far from home. Light of my phone
- 18:04screen illuminates my path forward. I keep scanning the darkness,
- 18:07expecting the light to catch the reflective tap of them.
- 18:10The reflective tapitom lucid lucidum of a coyote. Oh, like
- 18:15their reflective eyes. I see what it says. Okay, but
- 18:17there's no animals here, even they avoid this place. The
- 18:21only creatures that seem to be thriving here are the spiders.
- 18:24As I bumble into another web and I can feel
- 18:26like crawling through my hair, I brush it free and
- 18:30prepare myself for the dark. My battery won't last forever.
- 18:34Turn my poam back off twenty two percent and swallow
- 18:37down the fear of the darkness claims my surroundings, and
- 18:41that just to keep walking. This is gonna get rough.
- 18:45I can already find I'm already and he gets the
- 18:48I'm starting to get like a lump in my throat.
- 18:50I keep like swallowing.
- 18:51Speaker 2: I'm like, oh god, I'm just picturing the also to
- 18:53the idea of having like a low battery, and it's
- 18:55like that's my flashlight.
- 18:56Speaker 1: I'm like, brood. The only way I can see is
- 19:00this didn't charge it up, didn't think about even a
- 19:02five dollars one at the gas station out front.
- 19:05Speaker 2: Well, you know what that also kind of shows is
- 19:06that he doesn't plan on coming out, is what it seems.
- 19:08Speaker 1: To get to me. Well, it seems that he's depressed
- 19:11because he's like, who would miss me? Back there? Like
- 19:13he's giving himself to whatever he's walking into, surely, and
- 19:17also like it him talking about what I did. I
- 19:22still think he's talking about like a loved one, but
- 19:24he associated some personal guilt to it, so it's almost
- 19:28like it's almost like a suicide in a way. The
- 19:31way he's describing it like, no one will miss me.
- 19:33I just have my phone. I'll walk in. It reads
- 19:36for sure. Yeah, but I can already tell it's gonna
- 19:40get rough because he's like, I'm throwing up my ears, dripping,
- 19:43I feel spiders in my hair, and we're like five
- 19:45feet into the cave. The cave continues to shrink further
- 19:51on and deeper still. I bang my head on the
- 19:54stalactites above, and I realized that the tunnel is not
- 19:56only narrowing, it is shrinking in diameter. Oh, this is
- 20:01gonna be some tid to caver stuff. I didn't even
- 20:05see the stalactype before I hit it. It's too dark
- 20:08in this place. A positive the darkness to try and
- 20:10still my heart. I try to distract myself from the
- 20:13rising panic attack by focusing on the air current it
- 20:16gave is deep enough, has its own pressure system of
- 20:19shifting air currents as they flow from high to low pressure.
- 20:23The cave is large enough those currents can almost be
- 20:26mistaken for breathing. That thought makes the fear worse. And
- 20:30when I realize that my panic isn't subsiding, I hang
- 20:33my head and continue further. Yeah, like that the way
- 20:37it's I feel like I'm in a breathing thing. And
- 20:39then he's like, my fear is worse and I'm about
- 20:42to have a panic attack. I push forward. Yeah, like
- 20:45a punishment. Yeah, it's like a punishment, and like he's
- 20:48almost being compelled against his own will to be to
- 20:51keep walking into it. Yeah. I know, as I hunch
- 20:53my shoulders to prevent the stone from scraping into my skin,
- 20:56that this place is not a place of honor. Ooh,
- 21:00I like that. That felt that felt right, That made
- 21:03me all tingly inside. Wow, this is the only way forward,
- 21:08and the path to my destination is not going to
- 21:10be made easy for me. Soon, I'll have to crawl
- 21:13on my hands and knees if I want to progress deeper.
- 21:16This place is trying to prevent me from reaching the voice.
- 21:19Everything in my body tells me that no highly esteemed
- 21:21deed is commemorated here in this place. Nothing of value
- 21:25is here. So why do I keep delving deeper? Why
- 21:29do I keep on going? It's a question that I've
- 21:31asked myself far too much. The only difference between asking
- 21:34myself back then and asking myself now is the answer now.
- 21:39I don't have an answer. I feel something digging to
- 21:41my knee, and I use my phone to look at
- 21:43the misshapen rock. I'll have to be careful or I'll
- 21:47shred my hands and knees. Crawling forward, I'm my phone
- 21:50down the depths, hoping to see an alcove or opening,
- 21:54but the path only constricts down. Like a blood vessel.
- 21:57I am drawn to the depths like a magnet to
- 21:59a loads stone. I am summoned to it like a
- 22:02sheep to the slaughter. Oh oh, this guy, this guy
- 22:06you remember, you remember those closing lines. Off it breeds,
- 22:08It bleeds where it's like in my final moments, I'll
- 22:11say I love him or whatever, like this is such
- 22:13a good cap. This guy he uh he hit me
- 22:17with like that saxophone. But it's a pin. I feel it.
- 22:21This is easy, get me good. I like it. Wait,

- 23:20Speaker 1: Thank you so much for rocket Money. Now back to
- 23:22our episode. I have to put my phone back in
- 23:30my pocket as I can't drag myself on my belly
- 23:32and shift through the narrow gap ahead of me. Trapped
- 23:36in this tight space, I can feel one of the
- 23:38many spiders I displaced by walking into their webs, exploring
- 23:41in my environs. My hair, I can't brush it free
- 23:45in this claustrophobic crawl space, so I have to endure.
- 23:49I can't raise my head to look down deeper to
- 23:50the darkness without hitting my head on the cave ceiling.
- 23:53I have to lie prone and crane my neck if
- 23:55I want to see what lies ahead of me. Not
- 23:57that the darkness shows me much. I try not to
- 24:00think of the tons of rock above me that could
- 24:03crush me. Should the earth? Will it? Why do I
- 24:06keep moving forward? I had friends, I had family. I
- 24:10had a thought breaks through the darkness.
- 24:13Speaker 3: Who called me and left that three minute voicemail.
- 24:16Speaker 1: I try to reach back to retrieve my phone and check,
- 24:18but a horrifying realization makes its home in my head,
- 24:21like a spider setting up a new nest in my hair.
- 24:24I can check. My phone is in my pocket and
- 24:26there isn't enough space to maneuver my arm to reach
- 24:29it now, and I can't back up. Was it my brother?
- 24:32Did you want to know why the hell I wasn't
- 24:33at the funeral? Maybe it was my sister. Did she
- 24:36just want to tell me that everyone grieves differently, but
- 24:39I had to open up to them that they loved me,
- 24:42said a voicemail from the last time I ever missed
- 24:44a call for my mom. I thought it was stripped
- 24:46away from me by the panic when I realized that
- 24:49the space is so tight that I can't expand my
- 24:51chest fully to draw an air. Yeah. I try to
- 24:54calm myself, but the darkness and claustrophobia of this place
- 24:57makes it difficult. If I panic, I might do something stupid.
- 25:01Stupid Earth. That is, I need to call myself by
- 25:03controlling my breathing. I have to steal away oxygen from
- 25:07the moist, oppressive air through shallow breaths. I push my
- 25:10feet off the ground for leverage, and I wriggle my
- 25:12body further into the ever tightening depths ahead. I try
- 25:16to ignore the fact that I have to inhale to
- 25:18move forward, and every time I excel, I let out
- 25:20a little more dead space for my lungs. I pretend
- 25:23that I can't feel my heart beating in my chest
- 25:25scraping up against my ribs. The stone and the earth
- 25:28around me needle my stomach like tiny deciduous teeth. They
- 25:32chew tiny holes in my shirt and pants. They nip
- 25:35at my heels and usher me forward and deeper. A
- 25:38dark thought worms its way into my brain and won't
- 25:40subside until I acknowledge it. It feels like I'm being consumed.
- 25:45I have entered the mouth of this horrible place and
- 25:47am now being chewed by the rocks and stone of
- 25:50this place. If I keep going onwards, am I going
- 25:53to drop into the vast dark of this cave's belly?
- 25:57How far have I come? A quarter a mile, half
- 26:00a mile down? I am become like one of the
- 26:03eight spiders that Americans eat in their sleep. I know
- 26:06that's a myth, an untruth, misinformation that insists itself into
- 26:10our deepest fears, and now can't be excized from our
- 26:13minds no matter how hard we try. There's a horrifying
- 26:16power and belief. A tiny little eye about eating spiders
- 26:19in your sleep from PC professional blossomed into an incontrovertible fact.
- 26:25It was people's acknowledgment of this fear that gave it life,
- 26:28gave it presence, gave it purchase to crawl its way
- 26:30into our world. And now it's an accepted part of reality.
- 26:33And even though it's not true belief can make something real,
- 26:37give something form, give her power. Okay, gosh bro the
- 26:44like comparing like the way he's thinking about how he's
- 26:48being digested and comparing it to the myth you know,
- 26:50the whole Americans eat eight spiders in their sleep or whatever,
- 26:54and talking about how it gets to a point where
- 26:57simply the belief of it makes it legitimate. And then
- 27:00he's like, it gives her power. And he's tying that
- 27:02back to the voice that's been mentioned a couple of
- 27:05times before, and now that's like a myth that's stuck
- 27:07in his head. It can't get out. And now we
- 27:09see also in that quick mention that he didn't go
- 27:11to his mom's funeral. It seems that the death he
- 27:14missed a call from his mom that maybe would have
- 27:16saved her life. So he feels responsible for her death,
- 27:18and that's why he's here's this is yeah, I'm a fan.
- 27:22Speaker 2: I'm like, yeah, I mean the so claustrophobic, so uncomfortable,
- 27:26even the way that he even the way that he
- 27:29gives the cave or the mine, I should say, a uh,
- 27:33a living soul like I mean talking wow, that it's
- 27:36contracting and going down or tightening like a blood vessel.
- 27:39The cave's breathing, the tiny teeth, the belly of the
- 27:44cave like it's it's giving it to be like he's
- 27:46basically being consumed by a monster right now. It's just Yeah,
- 27:50it's so uncomporable. It's it's I the entire time you're
- 27:53reading that, I just found myself. I was like kind
- 27:55of like like clenching my chest like God, like I
- 27:59really feeling like I'm trapped in there too, almost like
- 28:01whenever someone's telling you about something horrible, like he's like
- 28:04I can't even take breaths, Like it felt like my
- 28:06chest was pressed up against those rocks too.
- 28:09Speaker 1: Hm hmm. Yeah, it's brutal. It's like the direct tie,
- 28:14especially with the consumed part, reminds me of Final Prayer. Yeah,
- 28:19it directly goes, but also like reminds me that there's
- 28:23this YouTuber named Jacob Geller makes these great YouTube videos
- 28:26talking about like different horror scenarios. But he made one
- 28:29called Fear of the Depths where he talks about like
- 28:31the horror of cave diving or like the worst stories
- 28:33with caves, and he has this one section that I
- 28:35was always stuck out of my mind. He talks about
- 28:38how like caves have a natural waste system, where like,
- 28:40you know, things that die in the cave or whatever
- 28:43are excreted like through the channels or through waterways. If
- 28:47we view the cave as a superstructure, it brings in
- 28:50like nutrients through like the minerals and the rocks, right,
- 28:53and it has like these microbes that live in it
- 28:55that act as an immune system. Effectively. It's as if
- 28:58the cave itself is one giant living thing that simply
- 29:02isn't made up of cells. And I think about that
- 29:05a lot when I think about these horror stories with caves,
- 29:07and him talking about being digested reminded me of that
- 29:09there's such a whoror to it. So, I mean, it's
- 29:12so alien, it really is.
- 29:14Speaker 2: I mean, cave diving is considerable to me, is like
- 29:17fucking diving deep into the ocean. It's just like the
- 29:20unknown of something. Caves are so oddly intimate, almost like
- 29:25a home, you know what I mean. It's like you're
- 29:26kind of like breaking into a house almost.
- 29:29Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, there's this feeling of like you're not supposed
- 29:32to be there. Yeah, But what do you think of
- 29:34people who water dive in caves. Have you seen that?
- 29:37Oh my god, when they're moving the tanks along, is
- 29:39that insane? Like pushing your god? Man, how those hobbies?
- 29:45It's crazy? I like, have you seen all those memes
- 29:49on like TikTok and stuff where it's like a man
- 29:51with four children and a loving wife at home, and
- 29:53it's like he decided to go down the lava death
- 29:56tube after this? He had two paths. The one that
- 30:00led to his backyard where his wife was waiting with
- 30:02it already, the other that led to Satan's Anis he
- 30:05goes down Satan's Anas. I catch myself and shake myself
- 30:10free of that thought, even if there isn't enough space
- 30:13to actually shake. I'm just tired. If I don't manage
- 30:17to get some rest, I'm going to fully break down.
- 30:21I realize sleep is coming from me, and I cannot
- 30:23deny it any longer. I can't crawl back out to
- 30:26more comfortable space. I'll have to sleep here and pray
- 30:29that this crawl space has an exit. Just before I
- 30:32pass out tombed in the earth, I hear her.
- 30:36Speaker 3: I'm here waiting for you. I've been trapped here ever since.
- 30:42Speaker 1: I wake up and pitch black, and for one glorious moment,
- 30:44I think I'm back in my bed and prepare for
- 30:46my morning ritual. I jerk awake and try to move,
- 30:49but the earth has embraced me, pinioned me, imprisoned me,
- 30:54wants me to face what is happening to me. There's
- 30:57nowhere to go, but the sickness still comes to me.
- 31:00The six seeps out of me and explosive wretches that
- 31:03scrape my spine into the surrounding stone and drive my
- 31:06face repeatedly into the ejected ingesture. Oh, I can't ignore
- 31:12the bright red cloths in the yellow bile, now that
- 31:15they're right in front of my face, on my face.
- 31:18What is here is dangerous and repulsive to us, but
- 31:21it calls out to me, and I sway forward to
- 31:23its siren song because I've already come so far. I
- 31:26drag myself forward through my own mess and let it
- 31:28smear over my shirt and jeans. As I leave it
- 31:31behind me, I numbly think, no fuss, no muss. Make
- 31:36it a few yards before my other morning ritual comes calling.
- 31:39I can't turn to let gravity expel it away from me,
- 31:42can't shime me down. My pants it has waited and
- 31:45GI's faces for hours, but it will be denied no further.
- 31:49I am going to shit myself. My body is so
- 31:55cross God, my body ejects it out and I feel
- 31:59bits of me escaping in the deluge of diarrheam, there's
- 32:06there's something solid and elongated, like strips of cloth in
- 32:10the movement. Oh oh, there's no need for doctors. I
- 32:15know how sick I am. He is, Okay. A dark
- 32:19laugh bubbles up within me, but is smothered by the
- 32:22encroaching earth. So the only thought that comes out is
- 32:25I'm shooting out rope worms. Oh my god. Oh, I
- 32:33don't like this on earth. Jesus my god. Dude. For
- 32:39a second, I thought he said he was like he
- 32:42was crapping out like intestinal lining. But no, it's worms
- 32:45that guy. I want to take a quick moment to think.
- 32:50Today's sponsor, the top brand for your bottom tushy summer
- 32:53is here, and unfortunately that means you sweat and certain
- 32:57regions of your body get gross. Nowhere else are you
- 33:00confronted with the reality of that more than when you
- 33:02use a toilet. Well, I'm here to tell you that
- 33:03tushy is the luxury biday that your bathroom's been missing.
- 33:06I've said it before when talking about tushy, but tushy
- 33:09is unironically me completely offscript, one of the best things
- 33:12that has ever happened to me. I did not realize
- 33:14how disgusting and wretched I was as someone who did
- 33:16not use a day until I started using one and
- 33:19felt like a fool for all those years. My life
- 33:21now has significantly more value, and if you don't have one,
- 33:25then I am significantly more important than you. But you
- 33:27can fix that. Also. The last time I did a tushy,
- 33:29ad hunter used footage of his toilet with a skid mark,
- 33:32pretending that it was mine. So I just want you
- 33:34to know that whatever toilet he shows now is his.
- 33:37In short, you need to stop wiping endlessly with toilet paper.
- 33:40Tissue removes ninety nine percent of bacteria with fresh water
- 33:43while protecting your natural skin barrier. Plus, people who've made
- 33:46the switch to tushy use up to eighty percent less
- 33:48toilet paper. Less toilet paper means less clogged toilets and
- 33:51less gross filth. I mean, think about all you do
- 33:53is toilet paper normally, is you just use something dry
- 33:56to rub it in and off your skin, whereas if
- 33:59you have a day, you clean yourself off and then
- 34:01the toilet paper is pretty much there to dry you off.
- 34:04Not only does to tushy eliminate waste to natural ingredients,
- 34:06but it's good for you. Better to have soothing water
- 34:08than scratchy toilet paper. It's easy to use and set up.
- 34:11I got mine and it was ready to go in
- 34:12only a few minutes. And you can get as nice
- 34:14with them as what you can have just the bidet,
- 34:16or you can have nozzles that have different settings for

- 34:53That's what my dad called him when he first saw it.
- 34:55He was sick and we all knew it. COVID was
- 34:57stealing his breath from us, and we had to watch
- 34:59as he desperately clowt it back with gasps and wheezes
- 35:02that never seemed to give him any relief. He didn't
- 35:05need quacks. He could take care of himself. A silver
- 35:09bullet from the sickness was mms miracle mineral supplement was
- 35:13what the snake oil salesman called it. Chlorine dioxide was
- 35:17what the rest of us called it, industrial grade bleach.
- 35:20He's going to cure himself with the sickness, purge himself
- 35:23of this impurity. God, man, My.
- 35:25Speaker 2: Dad came basically drinking basically basically God, can you imagine
- 35:31actually having like a bleach concentrate thing that you're drinking,
- 35:34like dissolving himself from the inside.
- 35:39Speaker 1: Oh uh. And like there's a lot of these people
- 35:46who like get a lot of flak for taking like supplements,
- 35:49But if you're dying and you don't think there's any
- 35:51other option. Sure, don't really blame sick people for being desperate.
- 35:54It's just it's it's it's the it's the faith.
- 35:57Speaker 2: It's trying to get some kind of ounce of like
- 36:00being able to sleep with, you know, having something to
- 36:02believe in in this time, or something to latch onto,
- 36:06you know, Like, I mean, I get, how can you
- 36:08blame someone?
- 36:09Speaker 1: I just want to be fucking better. You know, I
- 36:12probably shouldn't tell this story, he'd be I don't want
- 36:15to embarrass him. He had the right intentions. But my dad,
- 36:18one time we had growing up, we had a neighbor.
- 36:23They were a good friend of ours who had cancer.
- 36:27So my dad, god love him, was trying to like
- 36:31find all these remedies and like things to help her
- 36:34to make her feel better. But he was afraid of
- 36:37like giving her anything. So anything that he found online
- 36:40he would try himself first before he recommended to her,
- 36:44which is kind of like if you're gonna recommend something
- 36:46to a sick patient, like making yourself try it first
- 36:49is kind of sweet. Yeah, And I don't know what
- 36:53rabbit hole he got into online, but he read a
- 36:56bunch of stuff about you need to oxygenate your blood,
- 36:59Like the more oxygen you put into your blood, the better.
- 37:03So he read something that said like it's really good
- 37:06if you take hydrogen peroxide, like if you take drops. God.
- 37:11So one day I didn't know about this. One day,
- 37:15I'm like eight, maybe I walk outside on the back
- 37:18porch and Dad's doing yard work. They're like, hey, Dad,
- 37:22can my friend come over? And he looks up at me.
- 37:25It's just foam running down his face.
- 37:29Speaker 2: Oh my god, do you think it was a fucking
- 37:32zombie or something?
- 37:33Speaker 1: What the what would you think?
- 37:36Speaker 4: Like, Dad, are you okay?
- 37:38Speaker 1: And he's like, yeah, I'm just I'm my mouth is
- 37:40kind of dry a little bit, don't worry about it.
- 37:47And at the same time, we had company over already
- 37:51and one of Dad's friends walks out. He's like, oh
- 37:53my god, Jerry, beautiful, just.
- 38:01Speaker 2: Like tons of foam, just like gushing out of his mouth.
- 38:04So wait, does he still do that or no? No, no, no,
- 38:07that was what I think. That was the day he
- 38:10tried it, and he's in.
- 38:11Speaker 1: Me, oh my god, how did you how do you
- 38:13even swallow that? Ship? Well, he didn't try enough. I
- 38:18don't even think he swallowed it. I think he like
- 38:19dropped it on his tongue and that's what mouth, that's
- 38:25what cause to foe up.
- 38:27Speaker 2: And then I feel like, now when I see your dad,
- 38:28he's gonna have like a purple tongue or his tongue
- 38:30is gonna be permanently green.
- 38:32Speaker 1: He's like, who about peroxide? Let me thing. The funniest
- 38:40thing is Dad did this like years ago, and I'd
- 38:44kind of erased it from my memory, and then like
- 38:46a year ago we were talking about it and my
- 38:48mom brings it up and I'm like laughing at him
- 38:51and my dad, and my Mom's like, well, it's not
- 38:53it's not like he uh, you know, took anything he
- 38:58wasn't supposed to do. It was like an herb Will supplement,
- 39:01Like it was a label he found online. And then
- 39:03from the next room, my dad goes pure Pool grade
- 39:08hydrogen peroxide. What a chad. I love that. He's like, no,
- 39:15I got it at Lows.
- 39:17Speaker 2: He's like, I didn't even go to a pharmacy. I
- 39:20got it at yeah, I Low's or home depot. I
- 39:22love I love your mom being like, I mean, you know,
- 39:24it was it was a kind of a weird mistake.
- 39:26Speaker 1: But he's just like I got the good ship. I
- 39:29got it. I got the best stuff there was. They
- 39:31give hydrogen peroxide to dogs and ve clinics to make
- 39:34them throw up. Yeah, something tongue and you'll see angels.
- 39:46You're not getting none the thing once he took, he
- 39:52took two drops, and he's like, time to go dig
- 39:55in the yard.
- 39:56Speaker 2: Exactly all right, I'm gonna start digging those holes.
- 40:00Speaker 4: Daddy, could you stop taking your holes?
- 40:04Speaker 1: We have company. I forget about it. Leave me be.
- 40:09Speaker 2: The idea of going out though, and actually seeing your day,
- 40:11like foaming is such a haunting like that would be
- 40:15that had to have had a lasting like a lasting impact.
- 40:19Speaker 1: Probably, But my dad, like it was not uncommon for
- 40:22me to be in the house and then I'd walk
- 40:24outside and Dad would be like hanging out of a
- 40:26tree and he's like, I'm putting a swing set up
- 40:28like a monkey. There is always some bit going on.
- 40:35I would come out some days and you just have
- 40:37like weird animals. Says like the guy at the hardware
- 40:40store gave me this, and it's like a squirrel that's
- 40:42biding him or something.
- 40:43Speaker 2: And then it went off, like his name's Jim, Jim,
- 40:47he's a beautiful squirrel.
- 40:48Speaker 1: He knows how to write skateboards. Yeah, that would be
- 40:52your dad's ear. Dad sounds like he rules. You would
- 40:57like him. He's he's absolutely chaotic all the time. Anyway,
- 41:00back to the story side, my dad made it into
- 41:05teas and tinctures to treat the burgeoning tragedy building up
- 41:09inside him. He added water to it, saying, dilution is
- 41:13the solution to my pollution. That's u s something, Dad.
- 41:20I'm just saying, like I had to read that in
- 41:22your dad's wice.
- 41:23Speaker 2: I was doing that, eyes completely glazed over, like acid yellow,
- 41:29foaming from the mouth. Dilution is the solution to my evolution.
- 41:33Any Isaiah, you're just screaming crying in a corner. You
- 41:37have like a little uh you have like a Hawaiian
- 41:39shirt onto in the corner, curled up in a ball.
- 41:42Speaker 1: Come on, let's blake catch one of the funniest A
- 41:51couple of years ago, me and my dad were out
- 41:53skeet shooting and I know we're getting sidetracked. When we
- 41:57were at skat shooting and the we had of those
- 42:00automatic throwers you hook up to a battery to like
- 42:03you want to set out, Yeah, and it jammed up.
- 42:06So Dad goes over to mess with it, and he
- 42:08frees it, but it flies out and like the metal
- 42:11end hits him in the forearm and it dugs it
- 42:15like dug a trench out of his skin. Oh sure.
- 42:17And it was cut so bad that when you looked
- 42:21into it, it like once it quit bleeding, you looked
- 42:23into it and it was darkness, and you could see
- 42:26like his tendons and stuff down there. It was like
- 42:28an open gap in the skin. So the rest of
- 42:31the day he's walking around holding his forearm in front
- 42:35of him, just looking straight into it and like someone
- 42:39would say somebody like yeah, yeah, sure, whatever, and he's
- 42:42just staring and every now and then he would flex
- 42:44his hand. And we were driving were I was driving
- 42:48somewhere and I'm like, what are you doing. He's like,
- 42:50I can see stuff moving. Oh. He does that for
- 42:53a few minutes and he puts his arm down and
- 42:55he looks at me. He goes, Isaiah, I think I'm sick.
- 43:02It's like doing that. What do you want? You have
- 43:05an open wom it never went and got it taken
- 43:07care of, not just of course, not yeah, of course,
- 43:10of course not it's president drop hydrogen peroxide on it.
- 43:13It's going to oxygenate it, make it feel better. I
- 43:15got to put it on my tongue. It'll heal my
- 43:17arm exactly, make me stronger anyway. Like some looped morning
- 43:23matins and vaccine vespiper every twelve hours for weeks. A
- 43:27discredited Facebook doctor inundated his audience with rhymes and catchphrases,
- 43:32cooked my father's brain and convinced him that he could
- 43:34cure himself with one simple solution. Doctors during gstrotomies and
- 43:39interotomies often levage and suction out the area with lactated
- 43:44ringers selene saline. They do it to dilute and remove
- 43:48ingesture that can cause infection in the body cavity, which
- 43:51is their solution for the pollution of stomach contents contaminating
- 43:54the area. My father didn't levage the sickness out of him.
- 43:58He scalded his stomach. He chemically seared his intestines and
- 44:03scarred away his rugia and mucosa. He called what he
- 44:07was passing out of him ropeworms. Oh so he had
- 44:11his pieces of your intestines ropeworms. But yeah, yeah, I see,
- 44:16cause he's like he's effectively like killing the intestinal lining
- 44:21in his gut, and it's coming out of him. I say, yeah, gross.
- 44:25He told us it was the parasites leaving his body.
- 44:29It wasn't. It was his damned intestine sloughing out of him,
- 44:32and he was too blind to accept it. Please believe
- 44:35me when I tell you that I tried to convince
- 44:37him to stop. Please, I tried. By the time we
- 44:40dragged him into the hospital, he was feverish and ranting.
- 44:43The doctor told us what was happening as clinically as possible.
- 44:47Commensal bacteria that normally existed in the stomach took advantage
- 44:50of his ulcered stomach and began to proliferate and nested
- 44:55inside him, and his body was too weak to fight
- 44:57off the infection. Why did I let this happen? It
- 45:01took seven days for him to die from stepsis. A
- 45:03dark thought worms its way out from the memory of
- 45:06my father's flesh and feverish form on that hospital bed
- 45:09as he begs for more. Mmss, do I look like
- 45:12someone who's dying. He'd snap just a little bit more
- 45:16and I'll be as right as rain. It was the
- 45:18last lie he told me as he asked for one
- 45:20more tincture. To my great guilt, I relented. It was
- 45:24being eaten from the inside out by bleach, he repeatedly drank.
- 45:29In the end, he barely had the strength to talk,
- 45:31and the fever robbed him of any coherency. I was
- 45:35being consumed from the outside end by this place. How
- 45:38long would it take for me to die? Seven days,
- 45:41seven hours? Well, I won't let that thought eat away
- 45:45at me. I squeezed and scrape myself deeper into this
- 45:49crevice and leave the macob memories behind. I feel the
- 45:53thoughts get caught on the sharp, stony smiles around me
- 45:56and unspool like yarn as they are pulled from me
- 45:59with tireless traction. This place scrapes away the scabbed and
- 46:03painfully events, and allows the rot beneaths to be exposed.
- 46:07The guilt of being a terrible son is torn away
- 46:09and replaced by dull heart. I don't know if that
- 46:12last bleach concoction is what shuffled him off this mortal coil.
- 46:16I'm sure shit didn't help him. My memories of my
- 46:19father slowly slipped away, with the last one behind, my
- 46:22earliest recollection of him dad was taking away my nightlight
- 46:26and telling me that I was too old for this
- 46:28and that I had to be a man. I was four.
- 46:32I guess that's why I always sought out comfort on
- 46:34my mom's side of the bed. When the voice first
- 46:36began to whisper to me and scared me from my sleep,
- 46:40dragged the memory of my mother forward. As the immense
- 46:42pressure of this place cracks my phone and it sounds
- 46:45exactly like a heartbreakingugh. I remember the sound my heart
- 46:49made in my mind when I got the call about
- 46:50my mom. The voices ahead of me, I just have
- 46:54to keep pushing forward. As I clawed my way forward
- 46:57into the cloistery in darkness, I know that I'm approaching
- 47:00the sound of the voice. My nails chip and fractures.
- 47:03I pulled myself further into the abyss. She is down there.
- 47:08The matronly voice is in particular location. The voice increases
- 47:12the closer I get to the center. It sounds so
- 47:15much like my mom. She's not her, She's a mother
- 47:18to a different sort. My way back out has been
- 47:21barred to me. If I even try to back up,
- 47:24the perpendicular rocks jab ind me and hold me in place.
- 47:28They are carthonic cohenal Papilie, like the maw of a
- 47:33predatory bird of prey that prevents me from wriggling away
- 47:36from this place's collectinous gulch. All that wording cathonic is
- 47:41in reference to Cthulhu, right, like darkness steps the ht Yeah, yeah, definitely.
- 47:47That door is shut to me now, but another one
- 47:50is opening up before me. I know that I don't
- 47:52have much longer in me, but I know I have
- 47:54to go deeper. I will find her at the bottom
- 47:57of the world. I love that line. Hmmm, poof man,
- 48:02This story is a tense I begin my final descent,
- 48:06my final expedition towards the bottom. I know full well
- 48:08what this place is going to do to me. The
- 48:11danger here is still present. It was president in ours,
- 48:14and this danger will exist here far into the future.
- 48:17The danger is to the body. It can kill. I
- 48:20just have a little further to go and I will
- 48:22be there. Did I always want to punish myself for what?
- 48:27For being a bad friend, being a bad brother, being
- 48:30a bad son. Enveloping darkness whispers to me. I mark
- 48:35my progress in hours and over feet. Each foot is
- 48:38a hard won victory. As I pressed myself down into
- 48:41the earth, deeper and deeper. Foot by foot, I crawled
- 48:44downwards into the depths and feel my path constrict around me.
- 48:48A sharp stone catches my shoe, and I shuck it
- 48:51loose and leave it behind. I shimmy loosest fabric is
- 48:54short away, and my clothes are nibbled away by the
- 48:57rocks into nothingness. The path constricts tighter and tighter as
- 49:01I feel hundreds of tiny needles slide into my scalp
- 49:04and carve swaths of my hair off on the surrounding stone. Verse.
- 49:07As I push onwards, geez, I hazily wonder if the
- 49:11blood from the shorn scalp will help lubricate my path forward. Oh, oh,
- 49:17it doesn't. It clots on my skin and the scabs
- 49:20are torn away by the gravelly ground. I leave the
- 49:24scalp behind as I continue my descent towards the origin
- 49:27of the voice. I move forward against the resistance and
- 49:30feel the pressure of this place bearing down on me
- 49:32like the acknowledgment of a being too massive for me
- 49:35to even comprehend. Man. I continue crawling forward, inch by
- 49:41inch into a time that is stretch interminable by the
- 49:44claustrophobic surroundings. The diameter decreases even further, and the stone
- 49:49suppressed indians into my flesh, leaving tiny little white lines
- 49:52on my skin that soon transition into red streaks, which
- 49:56sends searing signals to my central nervous system. The surrounding
- 50:00steals my voice from me because I can't expand my
- 50:02lungs enough to scream. What comes out is a reminiscent
- 50:06rasp hurts. Those are my father's last words, and now
- 50:11they belong to me as well. Is the only inheritance
- 50:15I deserve from him? Oh gosh, i'd like, Ugh, it's
- 50:18the only inheritance I deserve from him. Ah, baby, that's
- 50:22the smothering. Soil closes in on me and squeezes into
- 50:25my nose, ears, and eyes. I breathe this place into me.
- 50:29I take them with me as I drag myself deeper.
- 50:32Centimeters later, eternities pass by and I spiral lower. I
- 50:37feel the earth scrape against my eyelids. Oh God, please know.
- 50:41The point of a pebble pressures into my pupil, and
- 50:44my propulsion to push on does the rest of the work.
- 50:48It ruptures like a great release of pressure. Oh oh,
- 50:53vitreous and lacrimal fluid leave tiny little rivulets from my
- 50:57enunculated eyes, down my flint's flesh, and sting my exposed muscle.
- 51:03Oh oh, oh, she calls to me. I yearned to
- 51:08meet her form like a spark being cast off a
- 51:11campfire towards the sun. That spark will never join the sun.
- 51:15But they are ascending, and I am descending. I will
- 51:18find my shining sun in the darkness of this place.
- 51:21Does it almost reel a bit too, Isaiah? Just curious?
- 51:24Does it read a.
- 51:25Speaker 2: Bit almost like a guy being reborn? Does it almost
- 51:28seem like him being stripped away of like his humanity here,
- 51:30like being stripped away of like his hair and stuff.
- 51:32It's almost going it's like an infantile state, and he's
- 51:36like hearing this maternal voice calling to him, almost like
- 51:38he's like pushing through like a birth canal.
- 51:40Speaker 1: Doesn't it feel like that a little bit? I think
- 51:42that's a good call, with the birth canal and the
- 51:44mother thing and stuff. To me, I also see that
- 51:47the digestion thing seems more It's like the walls of
- 51:50the cave are doing like a mechanical digestion, like ripping
- 51:54his skin to pot ripping his eyes across and stuff
- 51:56like that.
- 51:57Speaker 2: It's like a more like you were saying, physical way
- 51:59of breaking down the body or whatever.
- 52:01Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, mechanical. Yeah yeah, it's more literal, but I
- 52:05think what you're saying with like his hair is being
- 52:07taken off his clothes or being removed from him. He's
- 52:10even just like puncturing his eyes like no eyesight.
- 52:13Speaker 2: It's like being in a womb whatever going through like
- 52:15a birth canal kind of thing.
- 52:17Speaker 1: Well what it may be from job in the Bible,
- 52:19but the quote naked came I into the world, naked,
- 52:23I shall return or there may not be maybe somewhere else,
- 52:26but yeah, it's very similar. Yeah, like a birth canal
- 52:29being passed through. Yeah yeah.
- 52:30Speaker 2: Well also essentially time not really being established here really
- 52:39makes you think that this it's almost like an eternity,
- 52:42like this moment, this this this fleeting moment. It kind
- 52:45of you know, reminds me of to not to get
- 52:46too derailed as well, but it's almost like when it's
- 52:48like when you die, you live like you live like
- 52:51an eternity, like your.
- 52:53Speaker 1: Brain flashes before your eyes exactly like that kind of thing.
- 52:56Speaker 2: It almost feels like being in this place is like
- 52:58the eternity is just gueezing through this tunnel inch by
- 53:01inch or whatever, foot by foot, and it's just like
- 53:04there's no perception of time anymore. It's like it's all
- 53:07irrelevant to the experience the guys going through right now.
- 53:10It's it's very torturous, you know, Like it's like uh yeah, yeah,
- 53:14in the way even like thinking even about like a
- 53:16birth canal, like a baby being pushed to a birth
- 53:18canal is like such a costrophobic kind of like probably
- 53:21tortureus experience, not only for the like mother, but then
- 53:24even like the child beings like pushed through and pulled out.
- 53:27It's just I don't know, I really it's just grotesque
- 53:31and it's haunting. But at the same time, so many
- 53:34like great lines here, so many great lines were like
- 53:37oh god, like I almost wanted like to be a
- 53:38fucking back tattoo on your or you know what I mean,
- 53:40something like just like a really motivational kind of weird lines.
- 53:44Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I agree. I think it's it's it's an
- 53:49interesting point, like the brutality of like the beginning of life.
- 53:52Now there's a brutality in the end of it. It's
- 53:55also like there's something about choosing to remove your eye
- 54:00that feels like a point of no return, you know.
- 54:02It's like I don't need them down here, so to speak.
- 54:05Speaker 2: Well, it's just completely stripping away, like the things that
- 54:09give you the human.
- 54:10Speaker 1: Experience, you know. Yeah, Like I mean, the scalp is
- 54:12an intense thing.
- 54:13Speaker 2: But to get rid of you, you know, your sight,
- 54:15your you know your your voice. He can't even scream.
- 54:18He has no voice. It's just the only thing he
- 54:20can do is hear the things going around him, and
- 54:22like here his body kind of scrape against these things,
- 54:24which I'm guessing that's going to be affected too soon.
- 54:27Speaker 1: M hmm, yeah, huh, She calls to me. I yearned
- 54:33to meet her form like a spark being cast off
- 54:35a campfire towards the sun. That spark will never join
- 54:38the sun. But they are ascending and I'm descending. I
- 54:41read that line a second ago, but I thought I
- 54:43hadn't that light about the spark being cast towards the
- 54:46sun is great millimeters scour away the flesh from my bones?
- 54:51How am I still alive? Shock should have set in
- 54:54by now. Without muscles, how do I drag myself forward.
- 54:58Tendons tear away, tendons tear away like overstrung cello chords.
- 55:05I don't know how I persist, and I don't care.
- 55:07My my teeth are twisted and torn from me. I
- 55:12crawl over them and allowed them to join the constantly
- 55:15chewing choir that is waiting for more supplicants.
- 55:18Speaker 2: Oh man, that's so good that such a good, constantly
- 55:24chewing carawaight for more supplicants.
- 55:26Speaker 1: Every bit of me that catches on the entombing earth
- 55:28is scraped away and left behind. Dad was inside out
- 55:32and I am outside in just a little bit more.
- 55:35It's so close. What a what a banger line there too?
- 55:38They keep dropping. Dad was inside out and I'm outside in.
- 55:42Speaker 2: Came out with just hitting home runs left and right.
- 55:44He's like, yeah, right in a while, and he's just like,
- 55:46let me dust off some gold Jesus, isn't that crazy?
- 55:51Speaker 1: Just having these ready to go? It's like, I don't know, I.
- 55:54Speaker 2: Guess I could dust off these giant gold bars I
- 55:57have and see if what I can make with.
- 55:58Speaker 1: It, like Lebron stepping back onto the court. Yeah, exactly,
- 56:06nano meters onwards and my marrow and nerves trail behind me.
- 56:11I hollowly wonder how I can still go deeper? How
- 56:14can I lose even more of me? One thought screams
- 56:17through the agony. This was a mistake. I didn't see
- 56:21what I was leaving behind. Everything, I was leaving behind everyone,
- 56:25I was leaving behind deeper and deeper. Still, I realized
- 56:30that I've delved too deep. I passed from the light
- 56:33into the dark, and now I can ever go back.
- 56:36It's too late. My shreds are summoned forward. They surge
- 56:40against the surrounding stone and are stripped clean. I am
- 56:44exorably drawn downwards. I never should have left my family
- 56:48without telling them that I love them. They loved me,
- 56:51and I never told them. I've gone too far. I'm
- 56:54too deep. Please, I want to go back. I don't
- 56:57want to do this. I don't want to go deeper. No,
- 57:00please help me lower. I am pulled, Mom, save me.
- 57:06I love that cutoff. Also for people that hadn't bed, like.
- 57:10Speaker 2: The formatting here is you have to scroll down, almost
- 57:13like it's a fun way of participating in him falling like.
- 57:16Speaker 1: A fall Yeah, it's like a fall down. I've become
- 57:19aware of my surroundings after what feels like an eternity.
- 57:23Whatever bits and bobbles left my being shimmer amongst the
- 57:26unfathomable abyss, like sunlight glimmers playing off the waters of
- 57:30a vast and uninding ocean. My existence has been rendered
- 57:34aphemeral and oddly incandescent. Slowly feel myself sinking down deeper
- 57:40into this pelagic and pernicious place, towards the ocean bed.
- 57:45I am at the deepest depths. She rests among the
- 57:49ocean bed, waiting for me. I don't need to wait
- 57:52by her bedside for her to rescue me from this
- 57:54waking nightmare. I don't need to stand by mother night
- 57:57for hours, waiting for her to wake up and notice me.
- 58:01She embraces me willingly and readily. I stay wrapped in
- 58:06her yawning void as I feel whatever last bits of
- 58:09me that I could truly call my own slough off
- 58:11and disassociate till I have been rendered down to the
- 58:14very smallest atom that is waiting to be cleaved. Swaddled
- 58:19in the absolute darkness of that place, I feel her
- 58:22hand caressed the very core of my being, and I shudder,
- 58:25knowing that I'm home. I am a seed planted in
- 58:29the furrow, waiting to bloom into a magnificent mushroom cloud.
- 58:34I am a spark seeking immolation. She whispers to me
- 58:39in our embrace, the full message that I've been hearing
- 58:42my entire life. She wraps around me like a gnarled
- 58:46witch's fingers.
- 58:48Speaker 3: I'm here waiting for you. I've been trapped here ever
- 58:52since your milk beat your swords to plowshares. Once they
- 58:55called to me, they worshiped me. They sacrifice cattle in
- 58:59my name. They shrouded it under the guise of science,
- 59:03and crept onto ranches in the.
- 59:04Speaker 5: Dark of the night to perform the field and the
- 59:06cropsies of their sacrifices. They studied my influence on their
- 59:10lymph nodes. I have seated them with something beautiful that
- 59:14was bound to blossom. They were horrified by my light.
- 59:18They mutilated my creations and tore me out of them.
- 59:21They cast me away into dark, but a decayed far
- 59:24too slowly for them to ever forget about me. I
- 59:27will never fully rot away. You answered my call. We
- 59:31are going to show the world something beautiful, something blindingly bright.
- 59:36But love is going to radiate out of us and
- 59:38bathe the world in its glow.
- 59:40Speaker 1: Soon, my child, the entirety of my being has been
- 59:43scoured away and reduced to naught but a cinder of
- 59:47humanity that is not inconsequential, because even the tiniest ember
- 59:52can trigger a devastating inferno if her hands pluck it
- 59:55away and place it amongst the right kindling I yearned
- 59:59to burn. I am incandescent. No need for doctors. I
- 1:00:03already know how sick I am. Soon I'll show my
- 1:00:06light to the world in a violent chain reaction that
- 1:00:09ignites the oxygen and the atmosphere, and we will all
- 1:00:12finally know the light of Mother night. I love you, Mother,
- 1:00:18and that is the end. Man, what a bro Okay
- 1:00:24that last sentence was great, Okay. I have been trapped
- 1:00:30here since your ilk beat your swords to plowshares, which
- 1:00:34were one great oh man. So the saying that, like
- 1:00:42the people that came before you, like I was trapped
- 1:00:46ever since you chose the sword over harvesting over help, right,
- 1:00:50ever since you chose to fight, and says once they
- 1:00:52called me, they worshiped me, sacrificed cattle, shrouded it under
- 1:00:56the guise of science, and crept onto ranches in the
- 1:00:59dark of Knight to perform field neck cropsies on their sacrifices.
- 1:01:02So it's like the science. It's it's not just the
- 1:01:06essence of like some ancient god. It's it's equating some
- 1:01:09ancient god or the way we would talk about them
- 1:01:12to like science or understanding, which similarly hearkens back to
- 1:01:16his father and his father like using like evils of
- 1:01:20science or like basically yeah, in the name of like
- 1:01:24healing himself for discovery and then denying it. It's like
- 1:01:27this is this is the bad side of discovery. The
- 1:01:30Pandora's box we keep looking over says, they studied my
- 1:01:34influence on their lymphnos. I had seated them with something
- 1:01:37beautiful that was bound to blossom, and they were horrified
- 1:01:40by my light. They mutilated my creations and tore me
- 1:01:43out of them. It sounds like he's talking about like
- 1:01:46the atom, right yeah, or like the essence the smallest,
- 1:01:51the smallest thing that you can work your way down to, right,
- 1:01:54Because he's talking about like it had influence on their
- 1:01:56lypt nose horrified by my light, mule. It's it's like
- 1:01:59it's like the thing at the base of everything, like
- 1:02:01the fabric of science, right.
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: Yeah, well, I mean it feels like it almost feels
- 1:02:07like faith or something, does it not. I mean it
- 1:02:09almost reads like a spiritual essence of like taking taking
- 1:02:13that taking that element out of the equation. But it's
- 1:02:17something that, like you know, is so ingrained in us
- 1:02:21that it can't just like immediately be forgotten about. It's
- 1:02:23something that kind of like is slowly fading but is
- 1:02:27still around, you.
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: Know what I mean. Does that make sense? Yeah, it
- 1:02:29makes sense. I think there is some literal connection to
- 1:02:32like radiation or atoms, because when he says they cast
- 1:02:36me away, because he says she's in the darkness, he says,
- 1:02:38they cast me away, But I decay far too slowly
- 1:02:41for them to forget about me. Nuclear waste is thrown
- 1:02:43in the ocean, and like nuclear capsules have been sealed
- 1:02:46and dropped down there with messages on them saying not
- 1:02:48to open them until dates hundreds of years in the future,
- 1:02:51and that I decay far too slowly for them to
- 1:02:53get about me. Sounds like literal radioactive decay of like
- 1:02:56you know, the how long until the atoms become safe
- 1:02:59to year round? They were horrified in my light. I
- 1:03:02will never fully brought away you answered my call, and
- 1:03:05then he talks about how it will create a fire,
- 1:03:08a devastating inferno. It's almost like in discovery of science
- 1:03:12and in discovery of looking for things, we have awakened
- 1:03:15these beasts that used to be peaceful, but as soon
- 1:03:17as we traded swords for plowshares, we brought it into
- 1:03:20the world. It's kind of like the idea with figures
- 1:03:23like Oppenheimer and stuff like that, like they opened Pandora's box,
- 1:03:26they found the unspeakable, like something we were never meant
- 1:03:30to discover, you know, like the dangers of radiation science,
- 1:03:33and now it's become manifested. He's been around it his
- 1:03:37entire life, with things like his father, and now that
- 1:03:39is the essence that cries out to him, that calls
- 1:03:41for him to come back.
- 1:03:44Speaker 2: I mean I did too. I am other incandescent. I
- 1:03:46mean it does read like fucking radiation, doesn't it. Non
- 1:03:49of the doctors I know stick I am.
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: I mean, uh, at the very least, at the very
- 1:03:55le Oh, that would explain why he oh, oh my god.
- 1:04:00That's also he was throwing up. It's the whole thing,
- 1:04:02is the whole thing. He's getting radiation poisoning yeah, well
- 1:04:06not maybe not just therapy, but I mean like radition burn, Yeah,
- 1:04:10like experiencing it. All that stuff about if you had
- 1:04:13cancer or something, the eyes rotting off, the skin sloughing off. Yeah,
- 1:04:19those are all symptoms of like severe radiation poisoning.
- 1:04:22Speaker 2: Yeah, I imagine I imagine that he's like, he probably
- 1:04:25has cancer, he's getting radiation, uh treatment exactly, sick.
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: I don't need doctors. I know I'm going to die.
- 1:04:33That kind of thing. Very interesting. Weight.
- 1:04:35Speaker 2: It also seems like something maybe hereditary that was passed
- 1:04:38down from his family, like it's been something that's kind
- 1:04:39of trickled through.
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: He didn't call his mother back.
- 1:04:43Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like all the Also too, it's like the
- 1:04:46thing of like leaving people before you want to, like you,
- 1:04:49he should have stayed and tried to maybe get treatment
- 1:04:52or something to get better. That kind of vibe that
- 1:04:56the suicide note aspect of it as is him basically
- 1:05:01not wanting to participate in that.
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: I guess that kind of regiment anymore.
- 1:05:05Speaker 2: It's him basically just being like, I'm going to go
- 1:05:07down this path and there's no coming back.
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: It's kind of what it feels like. That's I love
- 1:05:12that if that is the case.
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: I love that it isn't like uh, I don't know,
- 1:05:18it isn't spelled out like to me like it like
- 1:05:21forms that larger picture right at.
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: The end, you know what I mean. I wonder what too,
- 1:05:25I wonder what the I wonder what the mother of
- 1:05:27the night is. Then it may be a term from
- 1:05:33somewhere else. The way he says mother night, I think
- 1:05:39it goes back to the light, like the fire that
- 1:05:42appears at night, or like the darkness of the abyssies.
- 1:05:45Going into mother Night takes story is a novel. Well,
- 1:05:57there's there's a book called Mother Night, but I don't
- 1:05:59think has any I don't think it's a connection to
- 1:06:01what he's talking about here. It's about a spy. I
- 1:06:06don't know. Maybe mother night's talking about like the fire
- 1:06:10at night, or maybe just like the because he refers
- 1:06:12to it as a maternal figure because he lost his
- 1:06:15and he feels guilty over it, just like the darkness
- 1:06:18he's seeping his way into back to the mother night,
- 1:06:20which also having a maternal figure he seeks comfort for
- 1:06:25in the night is a callback to when he was
- 1:06:27a child and said, you know, by his mother's bedside, right,
- 1:06:32I don't know. Man, the story just feels so deep
- 1:06:33I feel like I need to It feels let's just say,
- 1:06:36it feels like something you need to sit on.
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: But it also feels like something in a good way
- 1:06:40of like being able to revisit it with that knowledge
- 1:06:43now and being able to pick things up again. There's
- 1:06:46a lot of things with reading things for the first
- 1:06:47time that I feel like kind of go over your
- 1:06:49head whenever you're going because it's like the signs aren't there.
- 1:06:53But now being able to go back through as a
- 1:06:54more informed reader, the signs along the way are.
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: Going to be more prevalent.
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: They're going to be much brighter to where it'll keep
- 1:07:01it'll keep performing a bigger cohesive picture as you get
- 1:07:06to like re ingest it into your system.
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: He's very funny too, because he's going through the author
- 1:07:13he's going through the replies on creep cast and uh,
- 1:07:16he said, he said, joke, y'all are ungrateful. You can't
- 1:07:19even appreciate the Dommy Eldritch, Mommy I gave you in
- 1:07:22this story. God man, this is good. This is good.
- 1:07:30Like the way he the way he wrote some of
- 1:07:32those lines were great. My only the only inheritance I deserve,
- 1:07:35or like a spark, like seeking to rejoin the sun.
- 1:07:38Oh that's great, the uh I think? I think. I
- 1:07:43think it's multilayered. I think you can view it as
- 1:07:45literally someone grinding himself as he goes down into the earth.
- 1:07:48I think you can think of it as like a
- 1:07:50metaphor for like discovery and science as it applies to
- 1:07:53like radiation stuff like that, or just like someone joining
- 1:07:57an ancient entity that he revers as his at the
- 1:08:00center of the Earth.
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: It's one of those things where every once in a
- 1:08:03while you get with these stories where it's a really tight,
- 1:08:07like no fat story that just is like a huge
- 1:08:10punch in the gut and then leaves with some of
- 1:08:13these stories, you know, I love st I think that
- 1:08:14the majority of our viewers too and listeners want these
- 1:08:17like long, long stories. But I always do have such
- 1:08:21a huge appreciation for somebody who can just do a
- 1:08:23whole picture in just such a digestible time. I feel
- 1:08:28like that's a very hard thing to do. Also too,
- 1:08:30there's not a lot of beating around the bush. It's
- 1:08:32just being like extremely straightforward to me. It shows like
- 1:08:35intention and it shows like a person at a plan
- 1:08:38and they you know, stuck through it versus like kind
- 1:08:40of lollygagging around through stuff.
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: You know. Yeah, it was awesome, I think.
- 1:08:47Speaker 2: And that's the first thing that we've read from like
- 1:08:49the actual Creepy or from our slash creep cast story.
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: Is makes me nothing. It makes me want to just
- 1:08:55read more.
- 1:08:56Speaker 2: I mean, it makes me just want I hope this
- 1:08:58inspires people to just be like fuck it, you know,
- 1:09:00because at least from what I know, I.
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: Don't think that we don't really run the.
- 1:09:05Speaker 2: Server or whatever the yeah, the room, but the uh,
- 1:09:10I think that it's much more lax in terms of like, uh.
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: We're like it doesn't have to be a figure posting
- 1:09:19the story. Yeah you don't brain farting.
- 1:09:23Speaker 2: But yeah, basically it's just like I hope this encourages
- 1:09:25people to just be like, if I've ever wanted to
- 1:09:27write something, then you should just just fucking do it, dude.
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: You know.
- 1:09:31Speaker 2: And the whole thing too is allow people to read things,
- 1:09:33be constructive of it, and also just be creative and
- 1:09:36get out there and just write something that you're stoked on.
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: You know.
- 1:09:39Speaker 2: To me, is I love that this guy was like,
- 1:09:41you know, I haven't written in a while, but fucking
- 1:09:42I'm gonna write something inspired him to be like, I'm
- 1:09:45gonna put it on here, and I think that's so sick.
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: I think it's uh, you know, obviously our slash No
- 1:09:50Sleep does this too. But you know, we have a
- 1:09:53bunch of people who have come to the subreddit lately
- 1:09:55who are interested in telling short horror stories and like
- 1:09:58talking about them. So I think it's a good place
- 1:10:00for people to talk about, you know, and post their
- 1:10:02own work. Now. I don't think that we're going to
- 1:10:06be able to get to all of them, of course,
- 1:10:07and we may not see all of them, but there's
- 1:10:09a lot of people in the subreddit who like short
- 1:10:11horror stories and like talking about you certainly have an
- 1:10:13audience there, yeah, exactly.
- 1:10:15Speaker 2: I mean, I think it's just a matter of enjoying
- 1:10:17the process, enjoying that kind of creative outlet, you know,
- 1:10:21and doing it for yourself and not for like the
- 1:10:22attention of other people and all that kind of stuff.
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: So I think it's just a great thing. This is awesome.
- 1:10:27What a great fucking read man.
- 1:10:29Speaker 2: The last couple of reads we've had, it's been kind
- 1:10:31of a bit of a you know, it's nice having
- 1:10:34one where the entire time I feel like I was
- 1:10:36just clutching my I feel like I was clutching my hands.
- 1:10:38My hands got all sweaty, and the claustrophobic aspect of it.
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: But then it's just so beautiful the scalp coming off
- 1:10:45with the scab, but.
- 1:10:48Speaker 2: The dialogue or the lines are so beautiful. I mean
- 1:10:51it was like almost fucking poetic at the end, but
- 1:10:54not enough to just like really take away all of
- 1:10:56the journey. It was just this nice little cherry on top.
- 1:10:59You know, I really really really enjoyed this one. This
- 1:11:02was this I had a great one. I had a
- 1:11:04great time reading this one. You know, my fucking brain sucks.
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: But thank you all so much. Thank you all so
- 1:11:10much for listening to creep Cast today. We appreciate you.
