- 0:42Speaker 4: Why up?
- 0:44Speaker 5: Up?
- 0:46Speaker 6: Hey?
- 0:47Speaker 7: Uh yeah, you can't talk a little bit more laid back,
- 0:52Speaker 7: Uh introduction. Uh, this is gonna be a chill show.
- 0:55Speaker 7: We are desperately in need of one. We've been running
- 0:58Speaker 7: hot for I think four or five weeks in a row,
- 1:01Speaker 7: and it's time to relax and just chill.
- 1:04Speaker 6: Episodes will chill. Yeah, we we need to relax, We
- 1:07Speaker 6: need to stress.
- 1:09Speaker 8: Fucking hot lately.
- 1:10Speaker 6: Yeah, it's it's also very warm, but supposed to be hot.
- 1:14Speaker 9: Yeah, it's supposed to be ninety for like a week
- 1:18Speaker 9: and that's supposed to be over.
- 1:19Speaker 6: But such is life.
- 1:20Speaker 7: But you know, we've been enjoying our chill shows a
- 1:23Speaker 7: little bit more when we have guests. So please welcome.
- 1:26Speaker 7: DJ's anthis say what's up?
- 1:28Speaker 6: Brother?
- 1:30Speaker 10: What's going on? Guys?
- 1:31Speaker 11: It's great to be back and it's it's it's been
- 1:33Speaker 11: a minute. And as I said to you pre show
- 1:36Speaker 11: being off air, as long as I've been, it's good
- 1:38Speaker 11: to be creative again.
- 1:39Speaker 3: So yeah, and those breaks are okay for like a
- 1:43Speaker 3: week and it's like.
- 1:44Speaker 11: All right, I need I'm pushing something. It's almost two
- 1:48Speaker 11: months since I did a show.
- 1:50Speaker 6: Yeah, my god, man, So all right, well I'm glad
- 1:53Speaker 6: to have you on to do a show with.
- 1:54Speaker 10: Us at least, so thank you.
- 1:56Speaker 11: Yes, I think the last again, the last creative thing
- 1:59Speaker 11: I do. It was the last chill show that you
- 2:01Speaker 11: called me like.
- 2:07Speaker 6: We're gonna back. Yeah, let's get to it.
- 2:17Speaker 7: I usually don't start the chill shows with an introductory question,
- 2:20Speaker 7: but this one just fits so well, I can't help it.
- 2:23Speaker 7: So I'm gonna start with you, Steve, because you're the
- 2:25Speaker 7: one looking straight at me, sucker, Stevie, your introductory question.
- 2:33Speaker 6: Is what was? What was? Goodwill it lasted? But you
- 2:36Speaker 6: miss it? Now it's gone?
- 2:39Speaker 3: Oh my god, goodwill it lasted? Yeah, I'm glad it's gone.
- 2:46Speaker 6: I'm not glad it's gone. Miss it.
- 2:48Speaker 1: I do miss it. How's gone? I'm like, well, there's
- 2:50Speaker 1: some people.
- 2:53Speaker 3: Probably I don't know, maybe like doing the same hangout sessions,
- 2:58Speaker 3: Like I missed that the most once of anything, like
- 3:02Speaker 3: not not the days of just getting trashed and ship but.
- 3:05Speaker 1: I mean those days were they were the days that
- 3:08Speaker 1: we had.
- 3:08Speaker 12: Some of the most every day Yeah, but I did
- 3:15Speaker 12: have to say that, man, I miss having everybody together,
- 3:17Speaker 12: and I just got to go into one of the
- 3:19Speaker 12: things we did this week.
- 3:20Speaker 3: But we got to hang out our body ends place,
- 3:24Speaker 3: which was awesome. So you got a new fucking place
- 3:29Speaker 3: and invite everybody over.
- 3:30Speaker 1: We just hug out, like had some pizza.
- 3:33Speaker 9: It was just good play magic to gather magic I'm
- 3:37Speaker 9: done twice which never happened.
- 3:40Speaker 1: Yeah, and we haven't played magic, I don't think since.
- 3:46Speaker 3: To be fair, a couple of times at home after,
- 3:48Speaker 3: but that was it just likes playing honor.
- 3:51Speaker 7: Now we can go into detail on this later, but
- 3:54Speaker 7: you know this is just supposed to be quick diactory question.
- 3:57Speaker 6: Now. It's fine.
- 3:58Speaker 7: I would love talking about it later, absolutely, but I
- 4:01Speaker 7: just wanted to cut you off before it got too
- 4:03Speaker 7: deep into a call question for you.
- 4:07Speaker 6: What was good? What lasted? And now you miss it
- 4:10Speaker 6: that it's gone?
- 4:11Speaker 9: Oh man, uh body parts that work?
- 4:18Speaker 6: Oh bit, you ain't learned nothing to right, Steve.
- 4:22Speaker 9: Going to attest to this, we were walking down the
- 4:24Speaker 9: stairs and you heard something pop. It was my ankle,
- 4:28Speaker 9: Oh Jesus, And I'm like, and then we did it
- 4:30Speaker 9: again and it popped again, and at one point I'm
- 4:33Speaker 9: just like lifting my leg up and down and it
- 4:35Speaker 9: was creaking like a hinge.
- 4:40Speaker 10: Ogie.
- 4:40Speaker 11: I hate, I hate to say this to you, buddy,
- 4:42Speaker 11: but that happens to me every morning when I get
- 4:44Speaker 11: out of bed, and.
- 4:45Speaker 10: It's multiple spots. So I get it.
- 4:48Speaker 9: My problem is I have a a habit of pushing
- 4:51Speaker 9: myself maybe a little too far from time to time.
- 4:54Speaker 11: No, you were only sick for two months earlier, so no.
- 4:58Speaker 9: But yeah, it just when it hits hard, it fucking hits.
- 5:04Speaker 9: And it's just it's getting worse. And I know what
- 5:06Speaker 9: the cold weather coming in.
- 5:07Speaker 6: It's just gonna be terrible.
- 5:08Speaker 8: I'm just gonna be like aches and pains. I can
- 5:10Speaker 8: already feel them in my wrists.
- 5:12Speaker 9: Still warm weather to go first, So yeah, so we
- 5:15Speaker 9: got to sweat our balls off first and then free
- 5:18Speaker 9: them and then freeze them all right, uh c.
- 5:21Speaker 7: J ak DJ's anthis what was goodwhile lasted, but you
- 5:26Speaker 7: miss it now that it's gone.
- 5:28Speaker 10: See, I I think I think you know what. Well,
- 5:33Speaker 10: let me say this.
- 5:34Speaker 11: I think you have an answer to you are expecting
- 5:36Speaker 11: me to say, But to me, it's not gone yet.
- 5:38Speaker 11: But it's the show for sure. And and also doing
- 5:41Speaker 11: like Rocket League with you guys. But that was all
- 5:43Speaker 11: put on pause because I've been moving and getting things up.
- 5:47Speaker 11: So to me, none of that it's gone.
- 5:49Speaker 10: It's gone. I'm not doing it.
- 5:51Speaker 11: Right now, but it's not gone gone Like I'm getting
- 5:55Speaker 11: to fucking chill back if it chills, you know, and
- 5:58Speaker 11: and and I know are all going to connect and
- 6:00Speaker 11: play Rocket League. It's just scheduling. So that's life, you know,
- 6:03Speaker 11: which is okay. So like I know that those things
- 6:05Speaker 11: are coming back, so I don't know. I still think
- 6:09Speaker 11: I have to say the show, but I have to
- 6:11Speaker 11: add the cave add that it's not gone like it
- 6:14Speaker 11: will be back.
- 6:15Speaker 10: Yeah, So that's awesome.
- 6:18Speaker 6: Fair enough, fair enough, And I am your host pantcils
- 6:20Speaker 6: Aaron and the thing.
- 6:22Speaker 7: Uh it was good while it lasted, but I miss
- 6:25Speaker 7: it now it's gone.
- 6:27Speaker 6: So uh. The woman I was seeing is no longer
- 6:31Speaker 6: seeing me.
- 6:33Speaker 7: Yeah, and she did get on the record. She did
- 6:39Speaker 7: nothing wrong. She was wonderful, she was lovely, she was
- 6:42Speaker 7: kind and respected me at every turn.
- 6:45Speaker 6: And I beefed.
- 6:47Speaker 7: It so fucking hard, so fucking hard, like I like, genuinely,
- 6:54Speaker 7: if the Olympics had a beefing a category, I would
- 6:57Speaker 7: be nominated for the team today, Like I.
- 7:01Speaker 6: Beef so fucking hard. I can't I can't even deal
- 7:07Speaker 6: with how badly I screwed this up.
- 7:08Speaker 7: I mean, I genuinely, I'm less upset than I am impressed.
- 7:13Speaker 7: Like genuinely, I'm impressed that I up so badly. But
- 7:25Speaker 7: it's I don't know. That's just so you don't know
- 7:29Speaker 7: for sure, then give it a couple of I'm pretty
- 7:35Speaker 7: sure that door is slammed shut.
- 7:38Speaker 6: But reason.
- 7:43Speaker 1: Sorry, there's knockers.
- 7:44Speaker 6: In so uh.
- 7:50Speaker 7: I don't want to go into too much detail, but
- 7:52Speaker 7: long story short, things were going pretty good for like
- 7:56Speaker 7: a month and then I don't know if it was
- 7:59Speaker 7: self sabotage, which it could have been, because I am
- 8:02Speaker 7: definitely not used to.
- 8:04Speaker 6: Being happy for for a month straight.
- 8:09Speaker 7: Uh, and my brain definitely was not handling it well.
- 8:13Speaker 7: I mean, I can just tell you that right off
- 8:15Speaker 7: the bat, like like my brain was not handling it well.
- 8:19Speaker 7: And if you need evidence, like I went to jury duty.
- 8:24Speaker 7: What I had jury duty last this week?
- 8:27Speaker 6: Monday and Tuesday?
- 8:28Speaker 1: You went to some random It was like, I need
- 8:32Speaker 1: something to do.
- 8:33Speaker 6: I'm going to go to jury duty. That sounds fun,
- 8:37Speaker 6: just just a little gentle dury duty is not fun.
- 8:41Speaker 6: It sucks.
- 8:43Speaker 10: It does.
- 8:44Speaker 6: Even if you don't get picked.
- 8:45Speaker 7: You sit around a room all day waiting to be
- 8:49Speaker 7: called into the courtroom. And and if there is nothing
- 8:53Speaker 7: to do except sit on your phone and doom scroll.
- 8:56Speaker 1: How far did you get? I was in the courtroom.
- 8:58Speaker 6: I got into the courtroom from over an hour. I
- 9:01Speaker 6: never got.
- 9:02Speaker 7: I never got pulled into the jury box when they
- 9:04Speaker 7: started asking people questions, so I didn't make it to
- 9:07Speaker 7: that stfe but I was in the courtroom to be called.
- 9:10Speaker 6: And then they said, we've got who we need. Everyone else's.
- 9:14Speaker 11: Aaron. You mentioned being able to play on your phone
- 9:16Speaker 11: when I got the last time I did it. They
- 9:18Speaker 11: took us all directly to the courtroom. There was no
- 9:22Speaker 11: like waiting in the other room.
- 9:24Speaker 6: So a little bit.
- 9:25Speaker 10: Bigger, Well it was fairly big.
- 9:28Speaker 11: Yeah, And it wasn't a large pool people because it
- 9:30Speaker 11: was like the third pool they had pulled for this
- 9:33Speaker 11: jury because the lawyers could reject it anyway. It's not
- 9:35Speaker 11: the point. The point is that because we were in
- 9:38Speaker 11: the courtroom, phone use was no so we literally sitting there.
- 9:44Speaker 7: We went in the courtroom, the phones were turned off,
- 9:47Speaker 7: everything off, so that was.
- 9:49Speaker 1: Not interrupted by my fucking It's Stevie ringtone.
- 9:54Speaker 6: It's it's not that you're not allowed to record what
- 9:56Speaker 6: goes on. They don't know.
- 10:00Speaker 11: Wait, there's a ring tone on Patreon. I pay for
- 10:02Speaker 11: that ship. I gotta go go get it.
- 10:04Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, it's there.
- 10:05Speaker 7: It's gonna be there now now that I said it,
- 10:10Speaker 7: it's there.
- 10:11Speaker 6: Suck it.
- 10:11Speaker 10: He did say it. I mean you said it.
- 10:13Speaker 6: You're welcome.
- 10:19Speaker 7: So long story short, I was in that that jury
- 10:22Speaker 7: waiting room for like two and a half hours, and
- 10:24Speaker 7: all I can say is I lost my fucking mind. Yes,
- 10:30Speaker 7: And I don't know if it was just because I
- 10:32Speaker 7: was there or if it was because my brain was
- 10:34Speaker 7: doing that self sabotage thing.
- 10:35Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 10:36Speaker 7: All I know is I lost my fucking mind. I
- 10:40Speaker 7: would call it temporary insanity, but I'm not convinced it's temporary.
- 10:44Speaker 6: So I just, I just I don't want.
- 10:49Speaker 7: To say anymore because it's kind of personal, but it.
- 10:55Speaker 6: I still to this day, I'm like, what the fuck
- 10:57Speaker 6: was wrong with me?
- 10:59Speaker 7: But but I'm doing okay, Like it's I'm I'm I'm
- 11:03Speaker 7: very grateful that I had that month because I didn't
- 11:06Speaker 7: have it before, you know, and it was nice and
- 11:09Speaker 7: I really liked it.
- 11:12Speaker 6: Yeah, I was.
- 11:13Speaker 7: I was much happier than normal, and that's slurgely due
- 11:16Speaker 7: to her. So I'm just thankful at the moment, and
- 11:19Speaker 7: I'm fine. I'm fine, you know, it's it's not I'm
- 11:25Speaker 7: not heartbroken. I'm you know, it sucks, don't get me wrong,
- 11:29Speaker 7: but this is not like end of the world.
- 11:33Speaker 6: I'm done, call it quits, time to go, you know,
- 11:38Speaker 6: just like.
- 11:38Speaker 3: In every breakup end of the world. But but.
- 11:46Speaker 6: I do. I do miss my friend. Yeah.
- 11:49Speaker 7: So but having said that, let's move on to happier topics.
- 11:57Speaker 7: I've already I've already served, I've already sort of gone
- 12:00Speaker 7: into what I've been doing this week, so I'm just
- 12:03Speaker 7: gonna continue. So aside from jury duty, which thankfully was
- 12:08Speaker 7: uneventful and I didn't get pulled away from work, and
- 12:11Speaker 7: also thankfully work paid my wages for the two days
- 12:14Speaker 7: I was gone, so it was actually kind of like
- 12:17Speaker 7: a vacation but more boring.
- 12:21Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 12:23Speaker 7: So, one of the things I've been doing is I've
- 12:25Speaker 7: been continuing to play and I think I've talked about
- 12:27Speaker 7: it on the show before Claire Obscure Expedition thirty three.
- 12:31Speaker 10: Yes, I love it.
- 12:35Speaker 7: Yeah, I think it's absolutely fantastic. I wrote Raika intending
- 12:40Speaker 7: for it to be like a story about about grief,
- 12:45Speaker 7: but I mean compared to this game, like I didn't
- 12:48Speaker 7: do it justice, Like I'm this This is a it's
- 12:52Speaker 7: a very heavy and very sad game. It is literally
- 12:55Speaker 7: all about grief.
- 12:57Speaker 6: But as in.
- 12:58Speaker 7: Terms of gameplay, like I didn't think you could make
- 13:02Speaker 7: a turn based RPG disengaging, but they figured it out
- 13:07Speaker 7: and it is so much fun. I genuinely when it
- 13:11Speaker 7: was described to me, I thought I would hate the
- 13:13Speaker 7: dodging and parrying mechanic, but now, like I'm addicted, Like
- 13:18Speaker 7: I love nothing more than parrying every single enemies attack
- 13:22Speaker 7: and then launching a vicious counter attack. In this case,
- 13:29Speaker 7: it's more about memorization and timing. Like you you once
- 13:33Speaker 7: you see an attack and you get hit by it. Okay,
- 13:35Speaker 7: so that's the rhythm. So I'm gonna know next time
- 13:37Speaker 7: he does it bang bang bang, and as long as
- 13:39Speaker 7: I parry right at the right moment, bam. Like and
- 13:44Speaker 7: it's it's a lot of fun. It's a huge world
- 13:47Speaker 7: to explore. It's very different from any other ARPG I've
- 13:49Speaker 7: ever played. I haven't finished it yet. I am literally
- 13:53Speaker 7: on the road to the final boss, Like, I'm very
- 13:56Speaker 7: close to finishing it, but I'm in the in the
- 13:58Speaker 7: middle of act three and it's it's incredible. It gets
- 14:02Speaker 7: my thumbs up. Claire Obscure is excellent. It's beautiful, by
- 14:08Speaker 7: the way, it's absolutely gorgeous. Like it's it's one of
- 14:11Speaker 7: the prettiest games I think I've played in.
- 14:13Speaker 6: A long time.
- 14:14Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm enjoying a game about Yeah.
- 14:19Speaker 7: Well, I mean, honestly, it's it is on some level
- 14:23Speaker 7: helping me, you know, because I have I I have
- 14:28Speaker 7: grief about things that I haven't like expressed, maybe not fully,
- 14:34Speaker 7: you know what I mean. And so this is genuinely
- 14:37Speaker 7: like I'm getting some Catharsis out of it, in addition
- 14:40Speaker 7: to all the fun I'm having beating the ship out
- 14:42Speaker 7: of everything coming my way.
- 14:44Speaker 9: I mean, it's like that game you just play recently,
- 14:47Speaker 9: Say no More.
- 14:49Speaker 6: Yeah, say no More.
- 14:51Speaker 11: That was that was so much fun to watch you play, dude,
- 14:54Speaker 11: Like that.
- 14:55Speaker 8: That's a game about consent.
- 14:58Speaker 6: Yeah, it really is.
- 15:00Speaker 1: It's cool you actually have the option to like let
- 15:02Speaker 1: it go.
- 15:02Speaker 3: I'm like, yeah, no, I'll help this person, or no,
- 15:04Speaker 3: I don't want to fuck everybody type of thing which
- 15:06Speaker 3: was neat but yeah, dude, like I was streaming that
- 15:09Speaker 3: on one of the tuesdays I stream in the morning.
- 15:11Speaker 1: It was fun, nice, nice.
- 15:16Speaker 6: I'm sorry I missed it.
- 15:16Speaker 1: Oh, it's all good, but I do it.
- 15:17Speaker 3: We had a weird time in the morning. It's just
- 15:20Speaker 3: something to do. Give people something at.
- 15:23Speaker 1: Home summer break, yeah, and their nerds and didn't go
- 15:25Speaker 1: to string break or something, stay home and watch twitch.
- 15:31Speaker 1: I might. I just want to go check out this
- 15:32Speaker 1: midnight smoke guy telling.
- 15:34Speaker 6: People no fantastic. Oh it was fun. Yeah, it's fair.
- 15:44Speaker 6: So there is one more thing that I wanted to
- 15:47Speaker 6: talk about. Yeah, and I'm.
- 15:48Speaker 7: Glad DJ's antheis is here because I specifically wanted to
- 15:51Speaker 7: ask him about this because if this was something he'd
- 15:53Speaker 7: be interested in joining it on. So I've noticed that
- 15:56Speaker 7: we have kind of a pattern.
- 15:59Speaker 6: We do like roughly every now and then we do like.
- 16:04Speaker 7: A charity game show, but for the most parts we
- 16:07Speaker 7: do a couple of regular shows.
- 16:09Speaker 6: Chill Show, a couple of regular shows Chill Show.
- 16:12Speaker 7: It's like a break and I'm I'm a cast member
- 16:18Speaker 7: with the Gate Leaders, our sister show, and they have
- 16:22Speaker 7: now a solid structure for their months, like it's it's
- 16:26Speaker 7: no longer that every single episode is you know, one
- 16:29Speaker 7: of their standard quiz format episodes, which they now call fandemoniums.
- 16:36Speaker 6: I love pandemonium.
- 16:39Speaker 7: And so their structure is every month they have a
- 16:42Speaker 7: Fandemonium and then they have I believe it's called press Play.
- 16:48Speaker 7: Is there is Drew and Jason from the Gate Leaders.
- 16:52Speaker 7: They do a podcast all about video game movies. But
- 16:56Speaker 7: interestingly they're not doing every single movie. They're doing like
- 17:00Speaker 7: groups of movies, Like when they did the Mortal Kombat episode,
- 17:02Speaker 7: they did both Mortal Kombat and Mortal Kombat Annihilation together,
- 17:07Speaker 7: and they did the same for tomb Raider recently, which
- 17:09Speaker 7: I was like, okay, but your guys are gonna run
- 17:11Speaker 7: out pretty quick, and I was like, oh, they're probably
- 17:13Speaker 7: gonna replace it with something else. But anyway, So Phantemonium,
- 17:15Speaker 7: Press Play another Phantomonium, and then the last show of
- 17:18Speaker 7: every month is a bonus round where Matt and Odra
- 17:22Speaker 7: have kind of a chill show. They just chill out
- 17:24Speaker 7: and relax, and we finish it with a game Matt
- 17:28Speaker 7: versus Audra, So they're playing against each other. But I
- 17:32Speaker 7: end up hosting and I'm bringing all these different game
- 17:36Speaker 7: shows to play. And the one thing about that is
- 17:41Speaker 7: like the longer it's been going on, the more I've
- 17:44Speaker 7: been like, man, it would be fun to actually play
- 17:47Speaker 7: these things, but I don't for someone to play these games,
- 17:52Speaker 7: someone other than me would have to put together all
- 17:55Speaker 7: the work to do the questions, the puzzles, the challenges
- 17:58Speaker 7: whatever each particular game we're play. But I was like,
- 18:03Speaker 7: I can still do like the lion's share of the
- 18:06Speaker 7: work kind of by putting together like the game controls
- 18:09Speaker 7: and the you know, all the technical stuff for the.
- 18:13Speaker 6: Game you're on.
- 18:14Speaker 1: This is like a physical game.
- 18:16Speaker 7: No, no, no, it's it's it's like a it's like
- 18:18Speaker 7: a game on a computer.
- 18:19Speaker 6: Like every single episode.
- 18:21Speaker 7: If you are on their Patreon, you can see the
- 18:23Speaker 7: video episodes, and if you see the video episodes of
- 18:25Speaker 7: the Bonus Round, you will actually see the game board
- 18:28Speaker 7: and all the music and sound like side Matt. Matt
- 18:33Speaker 7: cuts it out of the audio version for fear of
- 18:36Speaker 7: copyright strikes. But I mean, these game shows are like
- 18:40Speaker 7: twenty thirty, forty years old, so it's like, I don't
- 18:45Speaker 7: think any of them.
- 18:46Speaker 6: Would be a problem.
- 18:48Speaker 7: So I've been thinking, like, what if we did something
- 18:52Speaker 7: similar I'm like, what if we stole Matt's idea because
- 18:55Speaker 7: we already steal everything else we do from the British.
- 18:57Speaker 6: Yeah, like, what if I'm on board?
- 19:01Speaker 7: What if we had a structure where every month we
- 19:03Speaker 7: did two regular shows, we did a chill show in between,
- 19:07Speaker 7: and then the final.
- 19:08Speaker 6: Show could be like a charity game show.
- 19:12Speaker 7: But I was like, what if it was I'm challenging
- 19:15Speaker 7: all you motherfuckers to take me on, like almost like
- 19:19Speaker 7: the kind of like I'm like, I'm gonna I'm gonna
- 19:22Speaker 7: be like I'm better at game shows than you. Come
- 19:24Speaker 7: bring your best, and like I would have like volunteer
- 19:28Speaker 7: hosts who would know the game before they agreed to volunteer,
- 19:33Speaker 7: or they could or they could specifically speak up and say,
- 19:35Speaker 7: I'd love to host this particular game.
- 19:38Speaker 6: Can you make it happen? And I'd be like, all right,
- 19:40Speaker 6: let me see what I can do.
- 19:42Speaker 7: And so we get a different host every time, we'd
- 19:46Speaker 7: have different contestants every time would deliberately be playing against me.
- 19:53Speaker 7: If if I win, they get a token amount for
- 19:55Speaker 7: their charity, but if they win, they get a bigger
- 19:58Speaker 7: amount but something. But if we're gonna do it every month,
- 20:01Speaker 7: it would be something reasonable like twenty or fifty dollars.
- 20:05Speaker 6: Twenty five is good.
- 20:07Speaker 7: I could I could manage fifty if if I'm if
- 20:09Speaker 7: I'm fronting this money. But if I'm the one who's like,
- 20:12Speaker 7: come beat me, I would be like, fifty dollars is fair.
- 20:15Speaker 6: I would do it.
- 20:16Speaker 1: I would totally do it.
- 20:17Speaker 6: I wouldn't ask the show to do it.
- 20:21Speaker 7: I would do it because this to be fair, this
- 20:23Speaker 7: is a selfish thing like this, I really, I really
- 20:27Speaker 7: want to play these games, and there is no way
- 20:30Speaker 7: for me to play them without enlisting someone else to
- 20:33Speaker 7: do it.
- 20:34Speaker 6: So so I threw.
- 20:37Speaker 7: The idea up in the air in the gate Leapers
- 20:40Speaker 7: chat on Discord, and a lot of people were on board,
- 20:43Speaker 7: like some some of them claimed games right away, like
- 20:46Speaker 7: like Ben from I think not Caring Westward. That's true,
- 20:52Speaker 7: Ben from I can't remember the name of his podcast,
- 20:54Speaker 7: is gonna drive Me Nuts? He hosted the recent gate
- 20:56Speaker 7: Leverers Money Python episode. Oh he's he's already signed on.
- 21:02Speaker 6: To do the match game.
- 21:03Speaker 7: Oh my god, wouldn't that be fun? We would need
- 21:07Speaker 7: a ton of people, but we could arrange that. No,
- 21:12Speaker 7: it wouldn't be difficult at all. In fact, we wouldn't
- 21:14Speaker 7: even need like a program really, we just need like
- 21:18Speaker 7: the game structure. But we could have the program and
- 21:20Speaker 7: that could be a show that we could simultaneously do
- 21:23Speaker 7: specifically on YouTube and audio.
- 21:25Speaker 6: At the same time. Yeah, that's true, because.
- 21:28Speaker 7: I mean almost every show has visual elements, and some
- 21:31Speaker 7: of the some of the shows I've had to reject
- 21:34Speaker 7: as being doable on Bonus Round because they're visual, we
- 21:38Speaker 7: could do if we have the intention going in.
- 21:40Speaker 6: This is going on YouTube right right, So yeah, that's
- 21:45Speaker 6: that's my idea.
- 21:46Speaker 7: Like, like I said, we would need to enlist people's help,
- 21:49Speaker 7: and we'd need to organize it on a month by
- 21:51Speaker 7: month basis. But I'm saying once a month, we do
- 21:54Speaker 7: a game show where people try and take me down,
- 21:56Speaker 7: and it could be a different game show every time.
- 21:58Speaker 7: I already have like twelve or thirteen programs ready to.
- 22:03Speaker 6: Go, Like.
- 22:05Speaker 7: That's a whole year of programs ready to go, and
- 22:08Speaker 7: I could get more as we go on.
- 22:10Speaker 6: Yeah, and the reason I.
- 22:13Speaker 7: Wanted de xanthis to hear about this is because I
- 22:16Speaker 7: think he'd be a great host.
- 22:17Speaker 10: Yeah, I think.
- 22:19Speaker 11: I mean, yes, I would love to do it. First
- 22:23Speaker 11: and foremost, I will put that out there, but I
- 22:25Speaker 11: also don't know the game, and let I think it
- 22:29Speaker 11: would require some more off air discussion so I understand
- 22:32Speaker 11: it better, but I'd feel My only fear of saying
- 22:36Speaker 11: yes to committing to it is that, like some of
- 22:39Speaker 11: the games you guys play on here, like the standard
- 22:42Speaker 11: games that you guys play, I don't know them like
- 22:45Speaker 11: you do a and I'm afraid that I would fuck
- 22:49Speaker 11: up the game because I'm not as familiar with it.
- 22:51Speaker 6: I mean, here's the thing, like, do you have a
- 22:53Speaker 6: favorite game show?
- 22:55Speaker 10: I'll just ask you, like just game show period, or yeah,
- 22:58Speaker 10: is there a game? I mean, yeah, a couple off.
- 23:01Speaker 11: I mean, if we're talking old school, I loved card
- 23:04Speaker 11: Sharks and like Press your Luck.
- 23:06Speaker 7: But you know, okay, press your Luck. We already have
- 23:10Speaker 7: Press your Luck. We already have. So that's when we
- 23:13Speaker 7: could do. Card Sharks would be very easy to get
- 23:15Speaker 7: a hold of. So like you could literally pick one
- 23:19Speaker 7: and say, I know this game, can I host it?
- 23:21Speaker 7: And I would be like, all right, let me see
- 23:23Speaker 7: what I can do. And I mean, now your responsibility
- 23:28Speaker 7: would be to put together the questions.
- 23:31Speaker 6: But obviously most of this most of the game play
- 23:34Speaker 6: involves a deck of Cards.
- 23:37Speaker 10: Card Sharks.
- 23:38Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, even if we didn't.
- 23:39Speaker 7: Have a computer program that would handle that automatically, which
- 23:41Speaker 7: I think they would.
- 23:44Speaker 3: Like.
- 23:44Speaker 7: I think the only difficult part would be you'd have
- 23:47Speaker 7: to write some questions.
- 23:48Speaker 10: All yeah, yeah, because because.
- 23:50Speaker 7: Even then card Sharks would only need them for the
- 23:52Speaker 7: front game. The bonus ground doesn't require them at.
- 23:54Speaker 11: All, I believe, So yeah, yeah, I'd also I would
- 23:59Speaker 11: just be fucking me being me. I'd want to go
- 24:02Speaker 11: back and watch some old episodes of card Starks, But
- 24:04Speaker 11: I'm sure I can find on two man, you could
- 24:06Speaker 11: do as much.
- 24:07Speaker 7: Or as little research into it as you wanted, like
- 24:10Speaker 7: and and like, there are there are games that.
- 24:12Speaker 6: Would be decidedly much easier to host than others.
- 24:16Speaker 7: Like for example, for example, only Matt said he was busy,
- 24:19Speaker 7: but he did volunteer to do one game show and
- 24:22Speaker 7: that was Dealer No Deal. And I'm like, yes, you
- 24:24Speaker 7: don't have to do any preparation for that at all,
- 24:27Speaker 7: Like the program will handle most everything for you and
- 24:30Speaker 7: you just lead the show. He could he could do
- 24:33Speaker 7: that off the cuff, Like he could completely improvise that.
- 24:36Speaker 11: Yeah, all you know, all jokes aside, that's the kind
- 24:39Speaker 11: of game I would prefer to do though, because I
- 24:41Speaker 11: think I'd be better at that kind of hosting than
- 24:43Speaker 11: I would. So I'm not saying I can't come up
- 24:45Speaker 11: with questions. I'm sure I could, but like, it would
- 24:48Speaker 11: be better for me to have a Dealer no Deal
- 24:51Speaker 11: style thing where I can just come in and then
- 24:53Speaker 11: do me and and you know, I know the structure
- 24:57Speaker 11: of Dealer no Deal, so like it would be you know,
- 24:59Speaker 11: you know, fund to do that. I would go as
- 25:02Speaker 11: far to see this is you you opened a whole gate?
- 25:07Speaker 11: Like yeah, I mean what I would like if you
- 25:10Speaker 11: really want to challenge and I know I have to
- 25:13Speaker 11: be part of that challenge is how do we do Survivor?
- 25:17Speaker 6: Here? Okay, here's here's the funny part.
- 25:22Speaker 7: That question has already been answered by dropout dot TV. Okay,
- 25:27Speaker 7: an episode of Game Changer that was effectively Survivor, but
- 25:31Speaker 7: instead of like, you know, building things and like sports
- 25:35Speaker 7: and physical challenges and.
- 25:36Speaker 6: Whatnot, they all did acting or improv challenges.
- 25:40Speaker 10: Interesting like the last.
- 25:42Speaker 7: Player to laugh wins kind of thing and everyone gets
- 25:46Speaker 7: to say say one statement out loud okay in turn,
- 25:50Speaker 7: and the last player to laugh wins.
- 25:51Speaker 6: Kind of thing.
- 25:53Speaker 11: To answer your question again yes, I'm interested. It needs
- 25:57Speaker 11: more offline discussion, but I'm definitely interesting.
- 26:00Speaker 6: Could absolutely do a survivoral like.
- 26:05Speaker 7: That would be ridiculous fun.
- 26:08Speaker 6: That would be.
- 26:09Speaker 11: Crazy fun, Aaron, I'm also in to be a contestant too, Like, yes, absolutely,
- 26:14Speaker 11: I would.
- 26:14Speaker 6: Need the testins come play every single show.
- 26:17Speaker 7: So I was just floating that as an idea that
- 26:20Speaker 7: maybe we could do. And if so, I'm willing to
- 26:22Speaker 7: take the reins and like organize things and organize people
- 26:25Speaker 7: and try and keep like not put any extra work
- 26:29Speaker 7: on your plate like I just did with putting the
- 26:31Speaker 7: thing on Patreon.
- 26:32Speaker 6: Sorry, but.
- 26:34Speaker 7: Like I could put together like the program, I could
- 26:37Speaker 7: send it to the host. They could share their screen
- 26:39Speaker 7: in Zoom or Discord or whatever, and so you know,
- 26:42Speaker 7: they could run the game themselves while we play. And
- 26:48Speaker 7: aside from maybe needing a quick rehearsal with the host beforehand,
- 26:51Speaker 7: like just to make sure they've got everything down they
- 26:54Speaker 7: know what they're doing, it would be good to go.
- 26:57Speaker 6: So I think it could be a lot of fun.
- 27:00Speaker 10: What sounds like it And the yeah, I mean.
- 27:03Speaker 7: A lot of these games are just gonna be fun
- 27:05Speaker 7: based on you know the fact that there people know
- 27:08Speaker 7: them and they're they'll be excited to play, and I
- 27:10Speaker 7: think that excitement will translates.
- 27:11Speaker 11: So I will tell you this, Aaron, if it helps you.
- 27:14Speaker 11: Is that, like when I was doing Potes, I loved
- 27:18Speaker 11: talking to Rico and I still do. And and as
- 27:20Speaker 11: I've mentioned, I think all in the show before last
- 27:22Speaker 11: time I was here, or one of the last times
- 27:24Speaker 11: I was here, Rego and I have reconciliated and we
- 27:27Speaker 11: are planning to do a final podscute. But you know,
- 27:31Speaker 11: the one challenge we kept coming up against I felt
- 27:34Speaker 11: like was, you know, obviously we had to find movies
- 27:37Speaker 11: because we were a movie review show. But that that
- 27:40Speaker 11: was easy enough, I guess, but like it did start
- 27:43Speaker 11: to get a little stale, like having this structure that
- 27:47Speaker 11: you're talking about. I think we'll keep it fresh for you,
- 27:51Speaker 11: do you know what I mean?
- 27:52Speaker 10: And I think I.
- 27:53Speaker 6: Fact that the game show is going to be different
- 27:55Speaker 6: every month.
- 27:57Speaker 11: Well not just that I'm talking about doing your typical thing,
- 28:01Speaker 11: like yeah you're talking about.
- 28:04Speaker 7: No, no, not really, not really, but we're just kind
- 28:07Speaker 7: of adding more charity game shows to the mix.
- 28:11Speaker 11: But you're also guarantee your chill show. If I understand
- 28:14Speaker 11: it correctly, did you could go two months without a
- 28:16Speaker 11: chill show, you know, and.
- 28:18Speaker 7: We we've done that once or twice. We didn't like
- 28:21Speaker 7: it a ton if I recall, we were.
- 28:24Speaker 6: Pretty exhausted by the time that came. It was pretty funny,
- 28:28Speaker 6: though fair.
- 28:30Speaker 7: But yeah, the regular shows are definitely fun, but they
- 28:33Speaker 7: do and do slightly more stress than a chill show does.
- 28:36Speaker 7: And chill shows obviously don't acquire any preparation at all.
- 28:40Speaker 7: So yeah, so I I think it's a good idea
- 28:42Speaker 7: to have them.
- 28:43Speaker 6: We could just leave them.
- 28:44Speaker 7: We've been calling them chill shows for so long I
- 28:46Speaker 7: can't imagine giving it any other name now. But I
- 28:51Speaker 7: have I have two name ideas for this alternate this
- 28:54Speaker 7: game show. And one was called show games all one
- 28:58Speaker 7: word because where we're effectively showing off these games. But
- 29:02Speaker 7: the other one that I think is more appropriate. Given
- 29:04Speaker 7: the challenge win Aaron Randolph's money.
- 29:11Speaker 6: We'd wind up doing a win Ben Stegn's money at
- 29:13Speaker 6: some point, but we have to But but but yeah.
- 29:15Speaker 3: So we could do let's have fucking case ship or
- 29:20Speaker 3: they have like fifty cases or whatever.
- 29:23Speaker 9: Uh, that's the one we were talking about.
- 29:30Speaker 13: God damn it, it is, Oh Jesus Christ, I do
- 29:37Speaker 13: have tiktac Doe.
- 29:38Speaker 6: I have the program.
- 29:39Speaker 11: Yeh kktack Doe is great. I love that. You know,
- 29:43Speaker 11: you know what also will be fun. I don't know how.
- 29:45Speaker 11: It would probably be hard to do, but if you
- 29:46Speaker 11: could pull off a Hollywood Squares type of thing would
- 29:49Speaker 11: be Oh my god.
- 29:51Speaker 6: We would need a lot of people for that is
- 29:53Speaker 6: the only downside.
- 29:54Speaker 10: At least not yeah. Yeah, yeah, we need.
- 29:57Speaker 6: A host, We need two contestants.
- 30:00Speaker 11: I'm I'm I either want to be a square or
- 30:03Speaker 11: I want to host that.
- 30:04Speaker 8: For sure, we would need at least nine people.
- 30:08Speaker 7: Yeah, it would be I mean, Zoom can handle larger meetings,
- 30:12Speaker 7: so we can do it.
- 30:13Speaker 11: Yeah, technically you don't need seven because Aggie and Smoke
- 30:18Speaker 11: could be square.
- 30:19Speaker 6: Oh my god, Stevie's center square for sure.
- 30:22Speaker 7: Oh, you can pick one of the corners if you
- 30:28Speaker 7: want to.
- 30:30Speaker 11: Feel I feel like, if we're going an old school
- 30:32Speaker 11: style Aaron, I feel like he's more of the Jim J.
- 30:34Speaker 11: Bullock square than he is the center square.
- 30:38Speaker 7: Well, at least in Hollywood Square. Is like the one
- 30:41Speaker 7: in the center was always the one you can most
- 30:43Speaker 7: rely on to me.
- 30:44Speaker 10: But Jim J.
- 30:45Speaker 11: Bullock was always at the upper left square for some reason,
- 30:47Speaker 11: like he was never the center square, but he was
- 30:49Speaker 11: there all the fucking time, and he was hysterical.
- 30:52Speaker 13: So Gilbert Gottfried was always oh my god, yeah, something
- 31:01Speaker 13: we could absolutely do.
- 31:03Speaker 6: It would be crazy, It would be crazy.
- 31:08Speaker 11: That should be like a year end. That should be
- 31:10Speaker 11: like your year end. One like that should be like
- 31:12Speaker 11: the one that ends the calendar year. I think you know,
- 31:17Speaker 11: to put it together.
- 31:17Speaker 6: Yeah, the one with the big cast should probably be
- 31:20Speaker 6: an episode four hundred.
- 31:21Speaker 10: Yeah, right there you go.
- 31:25Speaker 7: All right, well, do you guys want to take a
- 31:26Speaker 7: short break talking a lot about me and my big ideas.
- 31:30Speaker 7: Let's we're gonna take a quick break. When we come back,
- 31:32Speaker 7: we're gonna find out what the rest.
- 31:33Speaker 6: Of these fools have been up to right after this.
- 31:44Speaker 10: I'm Richie aka Midnight Agent Raw. I'm Devin aka Special

- 32:07Speaker 7: Off, hey man, Welcome to the mail bag. It's time
- 32:14Speaker 7: to check out our comments and or voicemails or whatever
- 32:17Speaker 7: we got.
- 32:17Speaker 6: What do we got this time?
- 32:19Speaker 10: Get out of my pants?
- 32:21Speaker 1: Well I did find this. It's one of our messages
- 32:25Speaker 1: for patreoon pants. Hey man, I don't know where they
- 32:28Speaker 1: come from.
- 32:29Speaker 6: I just grab them, all right, fair.
- 32:31Speaker 8: So always on time.
- 32:34Speaker 1: So this comes from show two seventy eight.
- 32:36Speaker 3: If you shove a book up your ass, you get author,
- 32:39Speaker 3: but author, but it's author. But I can't do it
- 32:45Speaker 3: because I keep laughing.
- 32:46Speaker 6: Every damn time I hear you say it.
- 32:48Speaker 3: Yeah, oh man, this goes from Justin b Such a
- 32:52Speaker 3: fun episode love Mike on the show in Chrissy.
- 32:55Speaker 1: They both brought a great vibe and an amazing humor.
- 32:58Speaker 3: Hopefully you can have them back into I agreed, Yeah, dude,
- 33:03Speaker 3: the energy.
- 33:04Speaker 1: Was so fucking amazing. It was so good. And I'm
- 33:07Speaker 1: not a big book person and I could feel the energy,
- 33:10Speaker 1: so it was great.
- 33:11Speaker 6: Yeah agreed.
- 33:12Speaker 7: Yeah, Oh okay, this is on a stream or a
- 33:17Speaker 7: or just a Patreon only vid.
- 33:20Speaker 3: This is something I threw on the Patreon right after
- 33:23Speaker 3: a stream, so it's not even on twitch anymore. Oh wow,
- 33:25Speaker 3: So I threw the Patreon there's something free to watch,
- 33:29Speaker 3: And it was me playing in VR the Mother Gunship Forge,
- 33:33Speaker 3: which is a fun VR game, like it's it's a
- 33:35Speaker 3: roguelike VR, like you're inside the ship trying to destroy
- 33:39Speaker 3: the ships like whatever.
- 33:41Speaker 11: Running this dude, I almost got motion sick watching you
- 33:44Speaker 11: play that. Now, I don't get it.
- 33:48Speaker 6: It's a lot in VR sometimes.
- 33:50Speaker 3: Yeah, but it's cool because in this game, like the
- 33:52Speaker 3: physics are amazing and creating your own gun how you want, Like,
- 33:56Speaker 3: I've never played a game that had the same gun once,
- 33:59Speaker 3: not once, and I played this game.
- 34:00Speaker 1: Like, Wow, it's crazy, that's wild. Yeah. But our comic
- 34:04Speaker 1: comment goes through eight Bit. He says, oh, hey, I
- 34:07Speaker 1: know that game. I worked on it.
- 34:09Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 34:10Speaker 7: Eight bit has done work for Mother Gunship the original yes,
- 34:14Speaker 7: uh and uh and Mother.
- 34:16Speaker 6: Gunship Forge apparently I didn't know he worked on it,
- 34:18Speaker 6: but there you go.
- 34:19Speaker 1: Yeah, which is freaking awesome. And he's working on new
- 34:22Speaker 1: physics things. I know he was working on a physics
- 34:24Speaker 1: Marble game and something else what it was.
- 34:26Speaker 7: Called nice nice And also Doki Doki, I'm gonna say

- 37:20Speaker 6: Yeah, you've been volunteered still too lately. What fun things
- 37:27Speaker 6: have you been doing? What do you want to talk about?
- 37:30Speaker 3: Well, let's talk about the cool stuff we did at
- 37:32Speaker 3: the house so far since we've been on summer break.
- 37:34Speaker 1: Okay, which has been nice.
- 37:35Speaker 6: Eager to hear about this.
- 37:36Speaker 3: Yes, Oggie and I have started to work on the
- 37:39Speaker 3: apartment finally upstairs, and we redid the bathroom and the
- 37:43Speaker 3: kitchen so far. I got it all like cleaned up,
- 37:46Speaker 3: all sanded, all the holes filled, re clean and then
- 37:51Speaker 3: painted all like both of the rooms up there. So
- 37:53Speaker 3: the bathroom's done, kitchens done. We have plans to uh
- 37:56Speaker 3: add new countertops. We're gonna talk about Buddy about from
- 38:01Speaker 3: his work and get a new sake and get that
- 38:04Speaker 3: all done this year.
- 38:05Speaker 1: So really excited about that.
- 38:07Speaker 3: It's nice because you walk in and the way we
- 38:09Speaker 3: painted everything, it looks bigger up there now, like it's
- 38:13Speaker 3: always been a cramp little apartment, like a two bedroom
- 38:15Speaker 3: apartment up there, but now it's.
- 38:17Speaker 1: Like you walk in full crap. You can see through
- 38:20Speaker 1: and the kitchen looks huge, the path them looks big.
- 38:22Speaker 6: It's great.
- 38:24Speaker 1: Yeah, it has been awesome.
- 38:25Speaker 3: I've also been playing a lot of Monster a hundred
- 38:27Speaker 3: world with this fool, and he's gotten me into it
- 38:30Speaker 3: and now I'm really enjoying it and exploring other weapons.
- 38:33Speaker 9: I had a bit of a skills ceiling, but then
- 38:36Speaker 9: he managed to overcome it and now he's actually having fun.
- 38:38Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 38:38Speaker 1: Now it's like, okay, this is fun.
- 38:40Speaker 9: Once you get past that initial Like it's because it's
- 38:44Speaker 9: a harring mechanic.
- 38:45Speaker 8: The way that fighting in that game works. It's a
- 38:47Speaker 8: little dark souls.
- 38:48Speaker 9: Asque but yeah, once you can get your mind wrapped
- 38:52Speaker 9: around it, though, the game itself is a lot of fun.
- 38:54Speaker 6: Yeah, it's been nice, challenging in the right places.
- 38:57Speaker 3: It's all all three of us up at the roofs
- 38:59Speaker 3: have been playing together and it's been cool.
- 39:01Speaker 1: Like crap, I'm actually dealing damage now, Like.
- 39:03Speaker 3: I'm I'm doing what I should be doing to help
- 39:05Speaker 3: the team. Like it's like, okay, good, I'm not just
- 39:07Speaker 3: a detriment.
- 39:07Speaker 8: You know.
- 39:07Speaker 3: I fainted like three times the last time, but not
- 39:11Speaker 3: a complete detriment.
- 39:12Speaker 6: I do stuff.
- 39:14Speaker 3: He Yeah, other than that, oh oh, the cats ashes
- 39:18Speaker 3: and thember they're doing really good. I got them set
- 39:23Speaker 3: with a new VET coming up, so really excited to
- 39:26Speaker 3: get all the new booty.
- 39:28Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm excited. I really am, though, because this is
- 39:32Speaker 1: how like adult I am.
- 39:33Speaker 3: You know, I've been researching this place for like two
- 39:35Speaker 3: months because I wanted a new VAT and this place
- 39:38Speaker 3: opened up about.
- 39:39Speaker 1: A year ago. A year and a half ago. They
- 39:41Speaker 1: had over a thousand reviews, all really good. There's been
- 39:43Speaker 1: a couple of small ones, but that's everywhere. Nothing recent.
- 39:47Speaker 3: But not only is a VET, it's also an emergency room,
- 39:49Speaker 3: it's also a pharmacy for them. It's also a store
- 39:52Speaker 3: for specialty foods. They also do grooming. Dude, they do
- 39:55Speaker 3: everything on the one facility. So I'm just like stupid excited.
- 39:58Speaker 1: To be like your ship and like load me up
- 40:01Speaker 1: with all the yeah food.
- 40:02Speaker 10: I like, hey, well that's kind of is it a
- 40:05Speaker 10: v C A. Is that what it's called?
- 40:09Speaker 1: Ah, I don't know. It's a private Uh it's a
- 40:13Speaker 1: private place.
- 40:15Speaker 10: Okay, no, no, yeah, all right, it is.
- 40:22Speaker 3: What a second, it's yeah, it's just like a private
- 40:26Speaker 3: practice in like a big medical area too.
- 40:28Speaker 1: It's all doctors out there and plase so super happy.
- 40:34Speaker 1: You can't you can get health.
- 40:35Speaker 3: I'm just like worrying because all the heat and cramp
- 40:36Speaker 3: lately and their fuzzballs, you know. And then we already
- 40:41Speaker 3: talked about streaming on Thursday or Tuesdays. It's been streaming
- 40:45Speaker 3: on Tuesday mornings at nine thirty to about eleven thirty.
- 40:48Speaker 1: Uh.
- 40:48Speaker 3: We just did schedule one last time, and that was
- 40:52Speaker 3: a freaking last another indie game where you become.
- 40:56Speaker 10: I thought the last time was Rise.
- 40:58Speaker 1: It wasn't Rise. Oh no, it was right yeah before that.
- 41:02Speaker 11: Honestly you I'm gonna sound like I'm plague heating, but
- 41:07Speaker 11: you've honestly made my Tuesday mornings infinitely better for the
- 41:11Speaker 11: last month.
- 41:12Speaker 8: So yeah, well, thank you.
- 41:14Speaker 1: You've been enjoying it.
- 41:16Speaker 11: Yeah, well, because I the way the way my job
- 41:18Speaker 11: set up is, and the way my desk is set
- 41:20Speaker 11: up is I can have you on my personal computer
- 41:22Speaker 11: and still work, so I keep you on and you're
- 41:25Speaker 11: just playing in the background while I'm working, and I
- 41:28Speaker 11: get to just hear you bu and it's fun.
- 41:31Speaker 1: That's awesome.
- 41:32Speaker 3: We got some new games we're gonna be doing, and
- 41:33Speaker 3: there's gonna be more angles and stuff. It's gonna be
- 41:36Speaker 3: other streamers joining recordings, so it's gonna be multiple streamers
- 41:41Speaker 3: going at the same time. And then I'll be hopefully
- 41:43Speaker 3: compiling all the videos into one from different rocky points.
- 41:48Speaker 6: Wow, we're gonna see.
- 41:49Speaker 1: We're gonna see how my editing skills go. I'm just
- 41:52Speaker 1: trying to get into as much of it as I can.
- 41:53Speaker 3: On break Man, it's cool working in here. We'relating the
- 41:59Speaker 3: floor next week in the studio so it'll be extra
- 42:02Speaker 3: insulated for the winter and summer.
- 42:04Speaker 1: Hell yeah, yeah, I'm super happy about that.
- 42:06Speaker 3: No more cold feet, let's see.
- 42:11Speaker 1: Other than that, I did a show with Jebbo. It
- 42:14Speaker 1: was like two hours long and no joke.
- 42:18Speaker 3: Ended up talking about just veteran shit for like two
- 42:21Speaker 3: hours and it was awesome, Like it was really cool.
- 42:25Speaker 3: Like if any of you in the military, anybody in
- 42:27Speaker 3: the military family was it. There's a lot of cool
- 42:30Speaker 3: shit that we talked about for a bit. So this
- 42:32Speaker 3: should be really seeing proper rumpust cool, yep, yep, and
- 42:36Speaker 3: then I'm good to go. I'm having I contacted my
- 42:40Speaker 3: family for a gathering me.
- 42:43Speaker 1: I was like, listen, whoa going to my sister's house.
- 42:47Speaker 3: She's going to be there, all the three kids will
- 42:50Speaker 3: be there, my mom and dad will be there. I'll
- 42:52Speaker 3: bring it up pizza and her husband better be there.
- 42:55Speaker 3: And I'm like, this is what we're doing. We're gonna
- 42:57Speaker 3: have pizza, We're gonna hang out. I'm gonna shoot like
- 43:01Speaker 3: in the country, in the country.
- 43:05Speaker 11: Yeah, good, might just smoke more than one pizza with
- 43:16Speaker 11: that many people.
- 43:17Speaker 10: I'm just saying, yeah.
- 43:18Speaker 6: Well, it was funny.
- 43:19Speaker 1: If my mom texted me last night, She's like, I'll
- 43:21Speaker 1: bring the paper plates and napkins. I'm like, that is awesome. Cool,
- 43:24Speaker 1: I'm gonna get the pizza on the way there.
- 43:25Speaker 9: There's apparently a really good pizza place out that way too,
- 43:29Speaker 9: Like they do a bunch.
- 43:30Speaker 8: Of like specialty pizzas. It's the one we went we
- 43:33Speaker 8: went to go visit Hend.
- 43:35Speaker 6: Yeah, that one's good.
- 43:37Speaker 8: God like, like strawberry pizza. Strawberry cheesecake pizza.
- 43:42Speaker 1: That's what I yes, so good, amazing.
- 43:46Speaker 9: And then they had like a loaded potato one that
- 43:48Speaker 9: tasted like a baked potato.
- 43:51Speaker 6: It was great.
- 43:53Speaker 1: Yeah in a stinger pizza and a stinger Yeah, of
- 43:55Speaker 1: course pizza. But so I was like, yeah, I'll grab pizza.
- 43:58Speaker 3: It's like a forty five minute trish grabbing one out
- 44:00Speaker 3: there because it's close fen minutes away.
- 44:02Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 44:03Speaker 3: And then right before we started recording, my sister text me,
- 44:05Speaker 3: She's like, I'll got the pizza, don't worry about it.
- 44:07Speaker 1: I was like, oh sweet. I was like, we'll bring.
- 44:09Speaker 3: The pop and so this stuff, I guess, okay, but
- 44:13Speaker 3: I'm like pretty happy because I haven't.
- 44:14Speaker 1: Seen my family in a bit, Like my parents half.
- 44:17Speaker 3: The years they're in Florida and then you are after
- 44:19Speaker 3: out traveling, so it's like they're never around enough and
- 44:23Speaker 3: they're selling their place up here. So I was like,
- 44:26Speaker 3: fair enough. I was like that get it travel while
- 44:28Speaker 3: you can't do it up Yeah.
- 44:30Speaker 1: Yeah, trying to everybody.
- 44:32Speaker 6: That's very awesome.
- 44:34Speaker 1: Yeah, but yeah that's all. That's all for me.
- 44:36Speaker 3: Other stuff I can't talk about. Yeah, okay, we will
- 44:39Speaker 3: talk about that later. But fair enough, I know, yeah,
- 44:42Speaker 3: a fair bit of all. Right.
- 44:45Speaker 6: In that case, we'll swivel over to Dougie. Are you
- 44:48Speaker 6: what you got brother?
- 44:49Speaker 8: Absolutely nothing?
- 44:52Speaker 1: Yeah, no points.
- 44:54Speaker 8: So recently it was my birthday and birthday yeah, thank you.
- 45:00Speaker 9: Then we uh, well, I decided I'm going to get
- 45:03Speaker 9: myself a birthday gift this year because I deserve it.
- 45:08Speaker 8: I deserve to spend my money on me for once.
- 45:11Speaker 9: Yes, but I went and got myself a brand new computer.
- 45:17Speaker 9: I think I mentioned before. I gave my credit card
- 45:21Speaker 9: to Steve went, Hey, find me the best best pieces
- 45:25Speaker 9: you can get for what I'm looking for. You know,
- 45:28Speaker 9: wait on sale if you want or whatever. He had
- 45:30Speaker 9: a limit and like, just go for it when you're ready,
- 45:33Speaker 9: and eventually he ended up finding one.
- 45:37Speaker 8: Well, he end up finding all.
- 45:37Speaker 9: The pieces, just about all the pieces, and we're about
- 45:40Speaker 9: to order it and then he's like, hold on, let
- 45:41Speaker 9: me check something.
- 45:43Speaker 8: Looks at the prefab stuff.
- 45:45Speaker 9: There's one that's exactly how we're setting it up, if
- 45:48Speaker 9: not better.
- 45:49Speaker 8: And I think it was even cheaper, too, relatively.
- 45:51Speaker 13: Cheaper, and ended up being cheaper in the end, still
- 45:54Speaker 13: having a stronger CPU.
- 45:56Speaker 3: So it was originally going to have a was it.
- 46:00Speaker 8: Yeah, you go ahead and tell him the specs because I.
- 46:02Speaker 3: Yeah, so his I know, I can't remember the name
- 46:04Speaker 3: of his motherboard, but I think it's the ms I one.
- 46:07Speaker 1: It can hold like one hundred ninety six gigs a
- 46:08Speaker 1: ram of d d R.
- 46:09Speaker 3: Five Christ, Yeah, it can run any processor available but
- 46:13Speaker 3: it came with a m D rise in ninety nine
- 46:15Speaker 3: hundred something. Yeah, yeah, that was gonna get him, like
- 46:19Speaker 3: a ninety seven hundred That's what it was like the
- 46:23Speaker 3: one below it because I was like, oh, that's what
- 46:24Speaker 3: I got.
- 46:25Speaker 1: I know, it's great, it's great.
- 46:26Speaker 3: Yeah, came with an all in one looked cooling, which
- 46:29Speaker 3: was amazing, sixty four gigs at dd R five RAM
- 46:33Speaker 3: two terribile M two, along with another.
- 46:37Speaker 1: Two slots for more.
- 46:39Speaker 6: Uhh yeah yeah. The what else?
- 46:43Speaker 3: Oh the case is stupid amazing. Everything's in white everything,
- 46:47Speaker 3: all the parts are white everything.
- 46:49Speaker 1: Dude, I don't know if you got a photo yeah.
- 46:53Speaker 6: Right, well even video. He can't squeeze more out.
- 46:56Speaker 1: Well here's the thing.
- 46:57Speaker 3: So he's like, I need something that can run everything.
- 46:59Speaker 3: He's like, at least it two K. I was like, dude,
- 47:01Speaker 3: what did you have before? He had a six gigs
- 47:02Speaker 3: GVU before. So we got him the a m D
- 47:07Speaker 3: the ninety seventy xt fucking sixteen gig video card. That
- 47:12Speaker 3: thing is freaking gorgeous and that's all in white.
- 47:16Speaker 6: Too, dude.
- 47:16Speaker 1: Wow, oh my god, wow. I was just watching him
- 47:19Speaker 1: just like driving.
- 47:20Speaker 9: I already had a Corsair mouse, which was pretty fun.
- 47:26Speaker 8: But my keyboard, poor thing.
- 47:30Speaker 9: It was an older, older keyboard, you know, with the
- 47:33Speaker 9: paint painted letters on him. So the letters were shaved
- 47:37Speaker 9: off basically, but the s key was not just shaved off,
- 47:40Speaker 9: but there was literally like a hole in the s
- 47:44Speaker 9: key like it was that well used.
- 47:48Speaker 8: Wow, it was that bad. Yeah, I wore that ship out.
- 47:51Speaker 1: Yeah, just looking at all sex all the time.
- 47:54Speaker 8: Sex really got to got it. We really got a
- 48:00Speaker 8: backpedal in those video games.
- 48:05Speaker 6: Video game.
- 48:07Speaker 7: Uh.
- 48:08Speaker 9: But yeah, Cyber end up getting me because he's like,
- 48:13Speaker 9: oh yeah, because he asked me when the computer showed up,
- 48:16Speaker 9: He's like, what else did you I'm like, oh, I
- 48:17Speaker 9: just get new monitors and new keyboard mon but that
- 48:20Speaker 9: can be later.
- 48:21Speaker 6: I'm not gonna worry about that now.
- 48:23Speaker 9: And he ended up getting me a new coarse hair keyboard.
- 48:25Speaker 9: So now this computer, the keyboard, and the mouse all
- 48:30Speaker 9: have RGB lighting, and so it's just a giant fucking
- 48:33Speaker 9: rainbow from one side of the room to the other.
- 48:36Speaker 8: It looks like constantly cycling through. It looks like I'm
- 48:40Speaker 8: sitting next to an aqua.
- 48:41Speaker 6: It looks.
- 48:43Speaker 3: Walk into like I walked through the hallway looking into
- 48:45Speaker 3: his room. It's just all glowing. It looks like.
- 48:48Speaker 8: Bioluminescent aquarium.
- 48:52Speaker 1: Though not like that in your face.
- 48:54Speaker 9: Like yeah, not like streamer like rave, but like actual,
- 48:58Speaker 9: like just transitioning through color.
- 49:00Speaker 1: He walked through his room and just like relaxed it psychedelic.
- 49:04Speaker 10: Name, that's not the weed, that's the actual colors.
- 49:07Speaker 8: I swear, emulating the feeling.
- 49:11Speaker 6: Yeah, unbelievable.
- 49:14Speaker 3: And then your game we've been playing, oh, just came
- 49:18Speaker 3: out on your birthday.
- 49:19Speaker 8: Oh yeah.
- 49:20Speaker 9: And then he got went and got me another game
- 49:22Speaker 9: to Killing Floor three. It's fun killing It's just like
- 49:25Speaker 9: Killing Floor except they changed a few things.
- 49:30Speaker 1: It's the same.
- 49:31Speaker 8: It's the same, but not. I mean, what else do
- 49:34Speaker 8: you want? It's Killing Floor? Like, if you've played the game,
- 49:36Speaker 8: you know what you're looking at.
- 49:38Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know.
- 49:38Speaker 3: It seems like the game plays a lot better. It's
- 49:40Speaker 3: a lot smoother. Like for me, I'm actually enjoying it
- 49:42Speaker 3: a lot. And I'm like, no, I'm down mouse and keyboard,
- 49:44Speaker 3: don't even need controller, Like I'm having fun with it,
- 49:47Speaker 3: like probably can be playing later today and streaming it.
- 49:49Speaker 1: To be a white lounge. Wow, yeah, Like it's fun.
- 49:52Speaker 1: I'm really having fun.
- 49:53Speaker 6: With it okay. Yeah.
- 49:55Speaker 1: Oh and then the Avocado got us a game.
- 49:58Speaker 8: Oh yeah, and then kid got us another game called Peak.
- 50:02Speaker 6: We're going to play that a little bit later.
- 50:04Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 50:04Speaker 9: It's just it's a qt cartoony four player indye co
- 50:08Speaker 9: op game where you're basically like boy scouts and you.
- 50:12Speaker 8: Have to traverse a mountain.
- 50:14Speaker 9: But it's like different terrain, Like one is just a
- 50:17Speaker 9: typical forest, another one's a jungle, another one's a like
- 50:21Speaker 9: a snow mountain.
- 50:22Speaker 8: No, one's like the side of a fucking volcano or
- 50:25Speaker 8: some ship.
- 50:25Speaker 9: It's it's crazy, but it's just something fun that we're
- 50:29Speaker 9: gonna play with the kid.
- 50:30Speaker 6: Pretty cool smoke.
- 50:32Speaker 11: There's I still want you to get that that romance
- 50:35Speaker 11: simulator I was telling you about because I want you
- 50:37Speaker 11: I want to watch you play that. It's a it's
- 50:41Speaker 11: a romance simulator where the goal is to win the
- 50:44Speaker 11: love of the Colonel Sanders from Kentucky Fried Chickens.
- 50:47Speaker 6: Oh yeah, what's it called.
- 50:51Speaker 11: I don't know what it's called. I don't know what
- 50:52Speaker 11: it's called. I honestly don't.
- 50:55Speaker 6: Love in the wings Wings.
- 50:59Speaker 11: God, I wish that's what it was called, but I
- 51:04Speaker 11: don't believe that it's called.
- 51:07Speaker 1: Oh my God, that was that was so good?
- 51:11Speaker 8: Eleven or and Spices of Love finger Licking Love.
- 51:17Speaker 11: I think that's what you need to call this episode though, Smoke.
- 51:19Speaker 11: I think that's the episode.
- 51:23Speaker 6: Of finger licking Love.
- 51:26Speaker 10: I think either one of those would work really a lot.
- 51:31Speaker 7: Yeah, that's awesome, Colonel Sands, all right, Well, if that's
- 51:37Speaker 7: all you've got.
- 51:37Speaker 8: Augus, that's pretty much all right.
- 51:39Speaker 6: I mean that sounds good to me. I mean that's enough.
- 51:41Speaker 8: That's a highlight for like the last three years.
- 51:45Speaker 7: Well, when we come back from this next break, we're
- 51:48Speaker 7: going to talk to our special guests and find out
- 51:50Speaker 7: what he's been up to and also what he's been
- 51:52Speaker 7: listening to Excity for that, but we'll find out right
- 51:56Speaker 7: after this.
- 52:04Speaker 3: Hey, if you're in the Western New York area and
- 52:07Speaker 3: you are a fan of the Green, head on over
- 52:10Speaker 3: to Peace, Love and Bud at three twenty self Transit
- 52:13Speaker 3: Road in Lockport, New York. Tell them b F y
- 52:15Speaker 3: tw SANCHA able to hook you up.
- 52:28Speaker 6: Hey man, welcome back to part three of our Chill Show.
- 52:32Speaker 7: We've gone over what I'm doing, We've gone over with
- 52:35Speaker 7: Stevie's doing, We've gone over what Aggie's doing. But our
- 52:37Speaker 7: guest has been particularly quiet, and I think we'll talk
- 52:41Speaker 7: about what's going CJ.
- 52:43Speaker 6: We love you, brother. What have E been up to
- 52:46Speaker 6: talk to us?
- 52:47Speaker 10: Oh?
- 52:47Speaker 11: Guys, there's been so much going on since I talked
- 52:51Speaker 11: to you last, Like it's crazy.
- 52:54Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 52:54Speaker 11: The last show that I did with you all, which
- 52:58Speaker 11: was the last time I was here, I was in
- 53:00Speaker 11: It was literally like days before I was leaving. And
- 53:03Speaker 11: now I reside in Missouri. Uh so that's a big change.
- 53:10Speaker 11: The fourteen hour drive that was supposed to be from
- 53:13Speaker 11: New Jersey to Missouri turned into twenty hours.
- 53:16Speaker 6: Oh lord.
- 53:18Speaker 11: Yeah. The reason for that is two storms, three storms,
- 53:23Speaker 11: one of which included a tornado that we drove through.
- 53:27Speaker 11: And then and then one of those storms caused a
- 53:31Speaker 11: tree to fall down onto the highway, which caused for
- 53:35Speaker 11: whatever reason, the guy driving attractor trailer did not see
- 53:39Speaker 11: this and slammed into said tree. The tractor trailer immediately
- 53:44Speaker 11: behind that one, since they don't stop on a dime,
- 53:47Speaker 11: slammed into that one and both had to be medivacked
- 53:51Speaker 11: out of the hot highway, which I don't know their status.
- 53:54Speaker 10: So I hope everyone's okay.
- 53:55Speaker 11: Like legit, I don't wish illness on anybody, but it
- 53:59Speaker 11: shut every thing down. We literally sat still for at
- 54:03Speaker 11: least an hour. I think it was might have been
- 54:05Speaker 11: longer where we just did not move. So yeah, so
- 54:09Speaker 11: that that was the try the drive piece of it.
- 54:13Speaker 11: My dog, who does not like cars, was on medication
- 54:16Speaker 11: and looked high the entire time. Like Crystal came over
- 54:24Speaker 11: to the car at one of the red stops where
- 54:26Speaker 11: we stopped to get like a bite to eat and
- 54:27Speaker 11: go to the bathroom and that type of thing, and
- 54:29Speaker 11: she just looked at her and went, Dave's not here, man,
- 54:32Speaker 11: And yeah, so it was. It was pretty funny. I
- 54:39Speaker 11: felt so bad, though, because I hate doing that to
- 54:42Speaker 11: her because my dog. You guys have never met my dog,
- 54:44Speaker 11: but she has so much fear and so much energy,
- 54:46Speaker 11: so to see her like that, like fucking zomped out,
- 54:49Speaker 11: just breaks my heart. But she would have not done
- 54:52Speaker 11: well in the car for that long without.
- 54:55Speaker 10: It, so like it it was.
- 54:57Speaker 11: It was for the best, but I hated it. So anyway,
- 55:01Speaker 11: that's that's what I said. I'm now here, I've got
- 55:04Speaker 11: my setup here, and you know it's awesome.
- 55:07Speaker 8: Yeah, I got everything you need right there.
- 55:10Speaker 11: Yeah, I mean it probably doesn't look any different than
- 55:12Speaker 11: it did before, you know, but to you guys, and
- 55:15Speaker 11: to the viewing audience for those of you on Patreon,
- 55:17Speaker 11: and if you're not paying for that, why the fuck
- 55:19Speaker 11: aren't you? But that's beside the point.
- 55:23Speaker 10: But I did that.
- 55:24Speaker 11: But also on a twenty, since I was in the
- 55:27Speaker 11: car for twenty hours and even scheduled for fourteen, I went, well,
- 55:31Speaker 11: let's spend eight of those hours listening to Thing because
- 55:36Speaker 11: I've been wanting to hear this for some time now.
- 55:40Speaker 10: So I and and seriously dude to it.
- 55:44Speaker 11: Probably saved my life during that trip, because honestly, I
- 55:49Speaker 11: was like going knots, I know.
- 55:52Speaker 10: I'll disclosure.
- 55:53Speaker 11: I didn't start until about three hours in because there's
- 55:57Speaker 11: a there's a radio so that I could stream through
- 56:01Speaker 11: my phone into the car play that I do enjoy,
- 56:04Speaker 11: and I listened to them first and then I put
- 56:06Speaker 11: on Thing. But it worked and yeah, no, no no,
- 56:12Speaker 11: because because Crystal was grit like I. So I'll share this.
- 56:15Speaker 11: Because Crystal was driving the moving truck, I was driving
- 56:18Speaker 11: my car, and so I bought walkie talkies for us
- 56:24Speaker 11: to communicate, and I mean some nice ones, like eighty
- 56:26Speaker 11: dollars like really decent, you know, walkie talkies, and so
- 56:30Speaker 11: we did. We had code words and all that kind
- 56:32Speaker 11: of stuff, so like you know, code names and share.
- 56:39Speaker 11: I won't tell you hers because I don't know if
- 56:42Speaker 11: she would want it out there. Not there's anything bad,
- 56:43Speaker 11: but I don't know if she'd want it out there.
- 56:45Speaker 11: Mine was Nighthawk and so that was.
- 56:50Speaker 10: Yeah. So and uh.
- 56:52Speaker 11: Rubber ducky that was that.
- 56:56Speaker 8: That was like.
- 56:59Speaker 11: Anyway, So we were, we were doing it until like
- 57:01Speaker 11: twenty minutes in I get like a breaker on the thing,
- 57:04Speaker 11: and she's like, did you start thing yet? I'm like, no,
- 57:06Speaker 11: I'm listening to the radio. Just turn the fucking book on.
- 57:13Speaker 11: I finally, I finally did put it on, and so
- 57:17Speaker 11: I'm gonna give it over. I have some cpercifics I
- 57:20Speaker 11: want to talk about with it, but I do want
- 57:21Speaker 11: to do.
- 57:21Speaker 9: It ready for spoilers for those who have not read
- 57:25Speaker 9: the spoilers, yes.
- 57:27Speaker 7: Read we are going to go over some plot details,
- 57:30Speaker 7: so you might want to get to the end.
- 57:31Speaker 10: Yeah, yeah, I'm.
- 57:35Speaker 11: I'm not entertaining anyway, so it's fine you are. So
- 57:43Speaker 11: for first off, there were some things I didn't know
- 57:46Speaker 11: about the audiobooks, specifically, one of which, and I probably
- 57:50Speaker 11: could have just easily known this by maybe reading something
- 57:53Speaker 11: when I downloaded it, but I didn't. I just downloaded
- 57:55Speaker 11: it and that was it. But I didn't know Aaron
- 57:59Speaker 11: you read the book till us. So hearing you read
- 58:03Speaker 11: me a book was a little weird. It took me like,
- 58:08Speaker 11: did you get that?
- 58:09Speaker 10: I don't know.
- 58:10Speaker 1: I think it's soothing every night, but.
- 58:12Speaker 7: No, yeah it was. It was a full cast audiobook.
- 58:16Speaker 7: But I did the narration, so yeah.
- 58:20Speaker 8: Made fun of you though, kept calling me a mighty
- 58:26Speaker 8: little bit. I don't know why.
- 58:30Speaker 6: Specific specific audio.
- 58:33Speaker 11: Yeah, I know, but listen, I it's not listen I'm
- 58:37Speaker 11: used to listening to because I listened to the show.
- 58:38Speaker 10: I don't.
- 58:39Speaker 11: I'm not gonna lie and tell you he listened to
- 58:40Speaker 11: every episode you guys put out. But I do listen
- 58:42Speaker 11: to the show. And like hearing you talk, and I've
- 58:45Speaker 11: had conversation with you, so like hearing you talk is
- 58:47Speaker 11: not a thing. But like hearing my friend read me
- 58:50Speaker 11: a story was a little weird for like the first hour.
- 58:53Speaker 11: I'm not gonna lie, and then and then also smoke.
- 58:59Speaker 11: Hearing smoke be small like it made me think of
- 59:02Speaker 11: like when you've heard Kevin Smith talk about when you
- 59:04Speaker 11: write Jane's on the Bob, when he created the characters,
- 59:06Speaker 11: that Jay was literally ja yeah that I forget the
- 59:11Speaker 11: character's name right now, and I apologize for that, but yeah,
- 59:14Speaker 11: Jamie is fucking smoke Like that.
- 59:16Speaker 6: There's it's the same guy.
- 59:18Speaker 7: Like I all of his words, like all of his lines.
- 59:21Speaker 7: I'm like, these are things I've either heard Stevie say
- 59:24Speaker 7: or I could easily imagine him saying.
- 59:26Speaker 10: Right.
- 59:28Speaker 7: It was so it made things so much easier to write.
- 59:30Speaker 7: But I definitely need a character. It needed a comedic character,
- 59:35Speaker 7: you know, because otherwise it's a very heavy story. But
- 59:38Speaker 7: having having Stevie literally in there to keep the mood
- 59:41Speaker 7: light was I needed it so bad.
- 59:44Speaker 10: But actually hearing Stevie Steve.
- 59:46Speaker 6: Was the perfect comic foil for Ethan too, which I love.
- 59:50Speaker 11: Oh yeah, yeah, no doubt, no doubt, and and and
- 59:52Speaker 11: and and and and we'll get into that piece of
- 59:55Speaker 11: in a minute, because I agree with you, but like
- 59:58Speaker 11: I hearing smoke be smoke, actually just just be like like,
- 1:00:04Speaker 11: and to your point, Aaron, I mean, I don't know
- 1:00:06Speaker 11: him as well as you do. You guys have been
- 1:00:08Speaker 11: friends for like thirty years or whatever it is, but like,
- 1:00:11Speaker 11: I feel like I'm that's about right.
- 1:00:21Speaker 9: Years this motherfucker for thirty But.
- 1:00:27Speaker 11: I I would say, I feel like I know you
- 1:00:30Speaker 11: well enough at this point, smoke that like I have
- 1:00:33Speaker 11: to agree with you, Aaron. Like hearing the things I heard,
- 1:00:35Speaker 11: I was like, I'm just listening to my friend be
- 1:00:37Speaker 11: himself and that was like and so that gave it
- 1:00:41Speaker 11: a level of enjoyment that other listeners may not have
- 1:00:44Speaker 11: because they don't know him as well as I do,
- 1:00:47Speaker 11: you know what I mean. So I got to really
- 1:00:49Speaker 11: enjoy just hearing Stevie b Stevie and that was so
- 1:00:52Speaker 11: much fun too, and that really helped with it. The
- 1:00:55Speaker 11: flip side to that is that it I will share
- 1:00:59Speaker 11: this out the audio book knowing what happens at the
- 1:01:02Speaker 11: end of the story. I think it gives a way
- 1:01:04Speaker 11: part of the ending having him record it, because you
- 1:01:09Speaker 11: also had him be the the voice of the guy
- 1:01:12Speaker 11: that he's based on. So when you was when you
- 1:01:15Speaker 11: were back in in in reality for lack of a
- 1:01:18Speaker 11: better phrase against spoilers, but when you're back in reality
- 1:01:21Speaker 11: and you hear Stevie playing the guard, it gave it
- 1:01:25Speaker 11: away to me almost immediately, Like that's how I knew
- 1:01:28Speaker 11: what was happening because and I don't think you get
- 1:01:31Speaker 11: that if you're reading it, to be fair, like if
- 1:01:33Speaker 11: you're just reading the hey, when.
- 1:01:35Speaker 7: You wouldn't have that additional clue exactly. Trina's voice actor
- 1:01:39Speaker 7: is the same as Victoria. That's that's another clue.
- 1:01:42Speaker 11: Yeah, but see that wasn't And maybe because I don't
- 1:01:45Speaker 11: know that actors voice as well, like I.
- 1:01:47Speaker 10: Know you yeah, yeah.
- 1:01:52Speaker 7: What's funny is Stevie was actually putting on a voice
- 1:01:55Speaker 7: for that for that individual character because because because that
- 1:02:01Speaker 7: character got renamed in honor of freaking contributed the show
- 1:02:05Speaker 7: of Mexican, was actually trying to do a Mexican impression.
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: Overboard, so I didn't get yelled at.
- 1:02:14Speaker 6: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, I.
- 1:02:15Speaker 7: Don't off yeah, but he did try to mimic like
- 1:02:19Speaker 7: his tone and his cadence, and he did a pretty
- 1:02:21Speaker 7: good job, I thought, honestly. But again, that so funny
- 1:02:25Speaker 7: to me that he's like, I'm gonna, I'm gonna, I'm
- 1:02:27Speaker 7: gonna make this real.
- 1:02:30Speaker 6: Like you're writing.
- 1:02:31Speaker 3: Didn't make it a lot easier for me to act
- 1:02:33Speaker 3: like me. That's the easiest acting like me I've ever
- 1:02:37Speaker 3: had to do in my life.
- 1:02:38Speaker 6: I was wondering the accession of one chapter. But yeah, I.
- 1:02:42Speaker 11: Was legit wondering because you remember, and again, you guys
- 1:02:46Speaker 11: have listened enough of Kevin stopped. Jay's always said like,
- 1:02:49Speaker 11: that's not me. I don't say those things, and Kevin's like, no,
- 1:02:52Speaker 11: you fucking do, right, Like.
- 1:02:55Speaker 6: I was wondering, self aware enough that he knows, yeah
- 1:02:58Speaker 6: I do. That's very.
- 1:03:02Speaker 4: No.
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: I definitely said that stupid ship. I guarantee it. That
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: was said something stupid.
- 1:03:07Speaker 11: It was probably me, Like yeah, I uh no, but
- 1:03:12Speaker 11: I I thoroughly enjoyed the audio.
- 1:03:14Speaker 10: The audio, to me gave.
- 1:03:15Speaker 11: It a different dimension in a good way that I enjoyed.
- 1:03:19Speaker 11: I I I read so much from my daily life
- 1:03:22Speaker 11: that I don't think that I would have ever read
- 1:03:24Speaker 11: the book. And that's not because it's anything against you, Aaron,
- 1:03:28Speaker 11: I said, I just don't read, which is.
- 1:03:30Speaker 10: Like difficult because like so Crystal, Crystal has.
- 1:03:35Speaker 11: Read Thing and Raka and and it's very much in
- 1:03:39Speaker 11: looking forward to your whenever the next one comes out.
- 1:03:41Speaker 10: She she can't wait. She's talked to me about it.
- 1:03:44Speaker 11: But I will say that, like, so, finally get through Thing,
- 1:03:49Speaker 11: and I say to her okay, because she had said
- 1:03:51Speaker 11: to me that at some point it connects, Rika and
- 1:03:54Speaker 11: thing connect and I'll leave it there because I don't
- 1:03:56Speaker 11: want to spoil Raca too much. But but I said,
- 1:03:59Speaker 11: I said to her, okay, I've heard it, now tell
- 1:04:01Speaker 11: me how it connects. And she can't fucking describe it
- 1:04:04Speaker 11: to me. She keeps like trying and can't give me
- 1:04:07Speaker 11: like it. And I'm not asking you do it here
- 1:04:08Speaker 11: because I don't want you to spoil anything, but like
- 1:04:11Speaker 11: she can't, She's like, I can't wait to tell you.
- 1:04:13Speaker 11: Didn't talk to you about it. I can't wait talk
- 1:04:14Speaker 11: to you about it. So I finally get through it,
- 1:04:15Speaker 11: I'm like, God, we'll talk to you about you like,
- 1:04:16Speaker 11: I don't know how.
- 1:04:17Speaker 10: I'm like what I.
- 1:04:25Speaker 6: Do enjoy that?
- 1:04:26Speaker 8: And yeah, but no, but I I don't know how
- 1:04:31Speaker 8: to explain it.
- 1:04:33Speaker 10: That's exactly it.
- 1:04:34Speaker 11: But but I absolutely enjoyed it, Aaron, Like I knew
- 1:04:38Speaker 11: you were a brilliant person, but to hear the way
- 1:04:41Speaker 11: you put this together was really fuck I was. I
- 1:04:44Speaker 11: was really captivated by the thing and and I will
- 1:04:49Speaker 11: tell you, I will tell you getting into more story specifics.
- 1:04:52Speaker 11: When you got to the third cycle that you hear
- 1:04:56Speaker 11: about I was like, I'm not gonna lie. Initially I
- 1:04:59Speaker 11: was like, oh, fuck, we're gonna do this again, like okay, no,
- 1:05:03Speaker 11: and then you threw a twist at the on a
- 1:05:05Speaker 11: on that third cycle, and it was like, okay, I
- 1:05:07Speaker 11: take that back.
- 1:05:08Speaker 10: Like I literally.
- 1:05:12Speaker 6: You're like, I can't go through this again. Oh we're
- 1:05:14Speaker 6: not going through this again.
- 1:05:16Speaker 10: Yeah, I won't. I won't get it.
- 1:05:21Speaker 11: I don't want to talk about some specifics because I
- 1:05:23Speaker 11: don't I feel like I just want to respect some things.
- 1:05:26Speaker 11: But like I definitely heard some specifics in the book
- 1:05:32Speaker 11: that are in the story. Uh some things being names
- 1:05:35Speaker 11: like you already referenced because I know you well enough
- 1:05:37Speaker 11: that I was like, oh, I know where I came from.
- 1:05:41Speaker 10: It was ful to hear something.
- 1:05:42Speaker 11: But but but as in my opinion, is a good
- 1:05:44Speaker 11: author a good author, that's what you're gonna do, is
- 1:05:47Speaker 11: you're gonna put some of your real life into your story. So,
- 1:05:50Speaker 11: like I I absolutely was uh no beginning. I guess
- 1:05:54Speaker 11: knowing the inside a little bit was kind of made
- 1:05:56Speaker 11: it fun for me to just hear some of the things,
- 1:05:58Speaker 11: like yeah, you know, I I heard some names. I'm like,
- 1:06:01Speaker 11: I know what I then came from. No one else
- 1:06:03Speaker 11: knows what I named. A lot of people don't know
- 1:06:06Speaker 11: where that name came from, but I know where it
- 1:06:08Speaker 11: came from. So that was fun to hear. And I
- 1:06:11Speaker 11: do have one question about the end, because I don't
- 1:06:15Speaker 11: fully I got lost, and I've gone back and played
- 1:06:18Speaker 11: the part a couple of times. I'm still not here,
- 1:06:22Speaker 11: and I'm sorry I'm forgetting character names. Don't take it
- 1:06:24Speaker 11: as a disrespect. It's been about a month since I
- 1:06:26Speaker 11: heard the book, so it's been a little bit. But
- 1:06:29Speaker 11: the woman who helped put the whole thing together, who
- 1:06:34Speaker 11: was desperately trying to get her cat on the ship, Trina, did.
- 1:06:39Speaker 10: She ultimately, I can't.
- 1:06:41Speaker 11: I can't tell if she ended up on the ship
- 1:06:43Speaker 11: or stuck on Earth like that's where I don't I'm lost.
- 1:06:47Speaker 6: Oh, Trina is on the.
- 1:06:50Speaker 11: Ship, okay, because she had that she has that sequence
- 1:06:55Speaker 11: with the other guy who had been dead that the president,
- 1:06:59Speaker 11: for lack.
- 1:06:59Speaker 6: Of better praise, that's the other woman.
- 1:07:01Speaker 11: Yeah, okay, so I'm getting my people confused. Then that
- 1:07:04Speaker 11: might have been way happening.
- 1:07:05Speaker 6: Yeah. The two you here in the interlogues are Trina
- 1:07:09Speaker 6: and uh Samantha.
- 1:07:12Speaker 7: Okay, Samantha ultimately decides to stay behind.
- 1:07:16Speaker 10: Okay, that that's what I thought.
- 1:07:17Speaker 7: Okay, But in doing so, she's like, well, I'm gonna
- 1:07:20Speaker 7: make sure that you and your cat both get on
- 1:07:22Speaker 7: that ship. And she so she arranges to make sure
- 1:07:26Speaker 7: that Trina's cat also makes.
- 1:07:28Speaker 11: The Oh yeah, the way the way that she did
- 1:07:30Speaker 11: that was fanta. I was like cheering for like, fuck
- 1:07:33Speaker 11: that senator.
- 1:07:34Speaker 6: Like yeah, yeah.
- 1:07:37Speaker 11: Yeah, But dude, it's it's really well written. It's I mean,
- 1:07:43Speaker 11: I I hope and and you can speak to is
- 1:07:47Speaker 11: better than I can. I hope the actors did justice
- 1:07:50Speaker 11: to your words because I didn't read the words, I
- 1:07:53Speaker 11: only heard the voice.
- 1:07:54Speaker 6: My god, they were incredible.
- 1:07:57Speaker 7: Uh and and all of them, even.
- 1:08:01Speaker 6: I'm not gonna say any names.
- 1:08:03Speaker 7: One actor missed out on something very important about their
- 1:08:07Speaker 7: character and so we had to redo their entire set.
- 1:08:10Speaker 6: And she was an absolute pro, so it was not
- 1:08:14Speaker 6: an issue.
- 1:08:15Speaker 7: But I mean, just everybody hit like every mark that
- 1:08:18Speaker 7: I wanted them to hit, like.
- 1:08:20Speaker 6: Dave was, I mean, Dave was. Chris the protagonist.
- 1:08:31Speaker 7: Did an absolutely amazing job nail pretty much everything out
- 1:08:34Speaker 7: of the park.
- 1:08:36Speaker 6: Caroline or A juela frequent contributor, to this show.
- 1:08:39Speaker 7: She voiced Trina and Victoria, and she knew the book
- 1:08:42Speaker 7: backwards and forward. She was helping me with it when
- 1:08:45Speaker 7: it was just eight chapters. Like she she was a
- 1:08:47Speaker 7: huge part of this book. And she she absolutely crushed
- 1:08:51Speaker 7: it because I mean she was gonna she knew the
- 1:08:53Speaker 7: book inside out and she did an amazing job. George Ladoux,
- 1:08:58Speaker 7: who played Ethan, he literally he crushed every single line.
- 1:09:05Speaker 7: I don't think I had him do a single retake
- 1:09:07Speaker 7: because his first take was genius.
- 1:09:09Speaker 6: Like every single hit was perfect.
- 1:09:11Speaker 10: Right, Yeah, I mean I I.
- 1:09:13Speaker 6: They were all great.
- 1:09:14Speaker 7: I'd go through them all one by one, but I mean, honestly,
- 1:09:16Speaker 7: they were.
- 1:09:17Speaker 6: They were all fantastic.
- 1:09:19Speaker 11: And did I don't know who who added the thing
- 1:09:22Speaker 11: for you, but I can't imagine what that was like.
- 1:09:25Speaker 7: Because Nicholas Santaser he played he played Jim in the
- 1:09:31Speaker 7: beginning and in the very book. Yeah, he only had
- 1:09:34Speaker 7: a few lines, but he agreed to do the and
- 1:09:37Speaker 7: he does this for a living, so like this is his.
- 1:09:39Speaker 6: Money, right, Yeah, he's gonna put that ship inside. Now.
- 1:09:44Speaker 11: At first, I wish there had been some sound effects,
- 1:09:47Speaker 11: but as the day went on, as I was listening
- 1:09:49Speaker 11: to more of it. I honestly was. I was actually
- 1:09:53Speaker 11: almost glad they weren't there, if that makes sense, you
- 1:09:55Speaker 11: know what I mean, Like I think the only and
- 1:09:58Speaker 11: I don't. I don't say this is but.
- 1:10:02Speaker 7: There's legal reasons why we couldn't do that because because
- 1:10:06Speaker 7: Nick is Union, sound effects would have classified the audiobook
- 1:10:11Speaker 7: as a different kind.
- 1:10:12Speaker 11: Of project, which.
- 1:10:14Speaker 6: Would have made it twice as expensive.
- 1:10:17Speaker 10: Okay, so down we left.
- 1:10:20Speaker 7: Sound effects out, but thankfully music wasn't against the rules.
- 1:10:23Speaker 8: So yeah, he goes up, cost goes up pretty much.
- 1:10:29Speaker 11: But I I will say it again, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
- 1:10:33Speaker 11: I might even at some point listen to it again
- 1:10:36Speaker 11: just because yeah, and and I I I did, even
- 1:10:43Speaker 11: though even though the acting kind of gave away the
- 1:10:45Speaker 11: end a little bit, and it didn't like spoil it
- 1:10:48Speaker 11: to the point that it was like, you know what
- 1:10:51Speaker 11: I mean, Like if.
- 1:10:52Speaker 7: Somebody gets to the end and says that they saw
- 1:10:54Speaker 7: the whole thing coming, I'm gonna call them a liar.
- 1:10:57Speaker 7: But you are supposed to to get at least some
- 1:11:01Speaker 7: of it going in.
- 1:11:02Speaker 10: Yeah, it wasn't that for me, though.
- 1:11:06Speaker 11: It was so well acted that it didn't matter if
- 1:11:10Speaker 11: even if I knew the whole goddamn story from start
- 1:11:12Speaker 11: to finish. I think it was so well performed that
- 1:11:16Speaker 11: I would have really enjoyed hearing because like, honestly, I
- 1:11:21Speaker 11: again I kind of knew it was coming, and yet
- 1:11:23Speaker 11: still wasn't sure what choice they were gonna make, like
- 1:11:26Speaker 11: you know what I mean, and still wasn't sure. Like
- 1:11:29Speaker 11: there was a point where I was like, because the
- 1:11:32Speaker 11: end of the one analogue ends with them making the choice,
- 1:11:35Speaker 11: or it's the inaugor to the chapter I forget, but
- 1:11:37Speaker 11: either way, one of them ends with them them saying
- 1:11:40Speaker 11: make the choice, and then cut and it goes to
- 1:11:42Speaker 11: the next thing, and I'm like waiting, I'm legit going
- 1:11:46Speaker 11: they might have just had fuck it and killed the
- 1:11:48Speaker 11: entire human race, and like you know, and it would
- 1:11:54Speaker 11: I would have not been stunned by it, like at all,
- 1:11:56Speaker 11: Like if that's how it ended, I would have been like,
- 1:11:58Speaker 11: all right, that's fair.
- 1:12:00Speaker 7: One of my beta readers was like, was absolutely telling
- 1:12:04Speaker 7: me that's how I would have endited it.
- 1:12:05Speaker 6: I would have ended it with them saying fuck you.
- 1:12:08Speaker 7: And from a certain point of view, that makes sense
- 1:12:11Speaker 7: because these.
- 1:12:12Speaker 6: Characters were these characters were put through hell.
- 1:12:15Speaker 11: They were basically tortured for yeah, sixty years or something.
- 1:12:20Speaker 7: Thousands of years, very long time, and and you know
- 1:12:27Speaker 7: they would have had every right too, but I mean,
- 1:12:31Speaker 7: you know, Trina and Sam's whole point was we didn't
- 1:12:36Speaker 7: want to do it.
- 1:12:37Speaker 6: We only did it because we had to.
- 1:12:38Speaker 11: And we're sorry, right, and yeah, I think that we
- 1:12:42Speaker 11: need you.
- 1:12:43Speaker 7: And then we're supplicating ourselves with putting ourselves at your feet,
- 1:12:47Speaker 7: and we're giving you the choice because we didn't have to,
- 1:12:50Speaker 7: but we are giving you the choice because it's it's
- 1:12:52Speaker 7: the least you deserve.
- 1:12:54Speaker 6: You know.
- 1:12:55Speaker 10: I do remember.
- 1:12:56Speaker 11: I remember at the end of the first cycle obviously
- 1:12:59Speaker 11: not no always coming cycle wise, and like I'm like,
- 1:13:02Speaker 11: all right, that's that was cool. I enjoyed this story.
- 1:13:04Speaker 11: And I look down and there's still like six more
- 1:13:07Speaker 11: hours of time, like a and I'm like, wait a minute,
- 1:13:12Speaker 11: there's there's more here.
- 1:13:14Speaker 6: Yeah, everybody has that moment, I swear to God.
- 1:13:17Speaker 7: Yeah, that's one of the biggest comments I get is
- 1:13:20Speaker 7: I was like, man, I was, I was. I got
- 1:13:24Speaker 7: to the end of the first cycle and I was like,
- 1:13:26Speaker 7: wait a minute, there's still like two.
- 1:13:28Speaker 6: Thirds of this book left. What is going on?
- 1:13:32Speaker 10: Yeah? No, because it was it was.
- 1:13:35Speaker 6: It provides a unique experience.
- 1:13:38Speaker 11: So I what I like that I can do now
- 1:13:41Speaker 11: Aaron with this book. And it's kind of probably the
- 1:13:43Speaker 11: last thing I'm going to say unless you have something
- 1:13:46Speaker 11: you want to ask me about my experience with it.
- 1:13:48Speaker 11: But is I was pushing the book because originally, because
- 1:13:55Speaker 11: you're my friend, I want to support my friend. I
- 1:13:57Speaker 11: want to help my friend accomplish whatever goals they are,
- 1:13:59Speaker 11: and just you all my friends. That's how I view things.
- 1:14:02Speaker 11: But now that I know the book I've heard. I've
- 1:14:05Speaker 11: not read it, but I've heard it, and I feel
- 1:14:07Speaker 11: like it's equal.
- 1:14:08Speaker 10: To the same.
- 1:14:09Speaker 11: I'm now pushing the book because it's fucking good and
- 1:14:13Speaker 11: it's not just helping my like I would have pushed
- 1:14:15Speaker 11: it regardless to help. You know, I know even if
- 1:14:18Speaker 11: I hated it, I would have still pushed him.
- 1:14:22Speaker 7: There is there is still a possibility that Stevie will
- 1:14:26Speaker 7: hate RACA when it's done, because I I've warned him
- 1:14:30Speaker 7: multiple times and he knows firsthand that Jamie goes through it,
- 1:14:34Speaker 7: and Jamie really gets put through the ringer in this book.
- 1:14:38Speaker 6: And I warned him ahead of time, and I told
- 1:14:40Speaker 6: him again and again and again.
- 1:14:42Speaker 11: But that that's more information than I got from from Chris.
- 1:14:47Speaker 11: I didn't even know the book.
- 1:14:48Speaker 10: So there we go.
- 1:14:49Speaker 6: The first sentence, the literal first sentence of raca I I.
- 1:14:55Speaker 7: I can't remember it exactly off the top of my head,
- 1:14:58Speaker 7: but it's something the effect of uh like uh Jamie's
- 1:15:02Speaker 7: side and struggled unsuccessfully to mentally prepare himself to kill
- 1:15:06Speaker 7: everyone he loved.
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: It's fucked up. I'm just like, that's literally the first sentence.
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: So I shut the book.
- 1:15:13Speaker 3: I put it back on my nightstand, and then next
- 1:15:16Speaker 3: time I saw Aaron was that Saturday, and I'm like,
- 1:15:18Speaker 3: I can't read your book.
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: Yeah, I gotta be prepared for that.
- 1:15:22Speaker 3: On my nice stand ever since, and that was like
- 1:15:24Speaker 3: almost a month ago, so I'm starting to getting on Monday.
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: It's one of the things I.
- 1:15:28Speaker 11: Definitely I definitely heard, like I said, and you know,
- 1:15:32Speaker 11: we joked earlier about the comedic piece of it. Yeah,
- 1:15:35Speaker 11: and that's definitely smoked, but like I heard, yeah, ambitthy,
- 1:15:39Speaker 11: but especially when like he started falling for the one girl.
- 1:15:41Speaker 11: Smoke like that smells like that sounds like you all day,
- 1:15:44Speaker 11: you know what I mean. So yeah, no eron amazingly done.
- 1:15:51Speaker 11: I I'm not a great writer myself, but I do
- 1:15:55Speaker 11: need to go write your review that I can put
- 1:15:57Speaker 11: out there. But I doubt anyone listening to this hasn't
- 1:16:04Speaker 11: already attempted to pick up a copy. But like I
- 1:16:07Speaker 11: swear to God, if you don't have thing at this point,
- 1:16:11Speaker 11: go fucking get it. Get the audio book, Get the book.
- 1:16:13Speaker 11: It doesn't matter, go get it. It is amazing. I'm
- 1:16:18Speaker 11: actually legit disappointed there's not going to be an audio
- 1:16:21Speaker 11: for Raykap because I want to hear what happens next.
- 1:16:24Speaker 11: Crystal has actually volunteered to sit down and read it
- 1:16:27Speaker 11: to me like I'm six, and we might.
- 1:16:28Speaker 7: Have because iative.
- 1:16:37Speaker 11: And I may take it up on it because I'm
- 1:16:39Speaker 11: not legitat well not I'd be hard unless unless driving. Yeah,
- 1:16:51Speaker 11: the other thing going on I I have to talk
- 1:16:53Speaker 11: about this does not affect me directly, but I can't.
- 1:16:58Speaker 11: And then because I don't have my show as platform,
- 1:17:00Speaker 11: I need like a little bit of time on this.
- 1:17:02Speaker 11: But you know, unfortunately in life, celebrities are going to
- 1:17:08Speaker 11: die across the board. I mean, that's just let people die, right,
- 1:17:11Speaker 11: And like one of the things I think we as
- 1:17:13Speaker 11: as non celebrities, not this group here, but just in
- 1:17:17Speaker 11: general take for granted is like those people have families
- 1:17:21Speaker 11: like we do that are probably mourning.
- 1:17:23Speaker 10: You know, So even if you don't.
- 1:17:25Speaker 11: Like somebody, because there's somebody that died this week, I
- 1:17:27Speaker 11: could give two ships about but I'm not out.
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: There and uh and uh.
- 1:17:34Speaker 11: Yeah, well and it's and it's because because honestly, in
- 1:17:37Speaker 11: public life, the person was kind of deplorable, But it
- 1:17:40Speaker 11: doesn't mean that he wasn't kind of the people in
- 1:17:43Speaker 11: his immediate circle.
- 1:17:47Speaker 10: For sure.
- 1:17:48Speaker 11: But and and then the other guy that died died
- 1:17:50Speaker 11: trying to save people, So that sucks too, you know
- 1:17:53Speaker 11: what I mean, Like that's and like the fact anytime
- 1:17:56Speaker 11: anyone dies trying to save somebody, it's not good. And
- 1:17:58Speaker 11: any add a celebrity to it, a beloved celebrity, it's shitty.
- 1:18:02Speaker 11: But for me, the one I had to talk about
- 1:18:05Speaker 11: is Ozzie. I mean that that hit.
- 1:18:08Speaker 5: I mean, yeah, but what a way to go out, Yes,
- 1:18:12Speaker 5: oh sure, I mean incredible, Like I feel like he
- 1:18:17Speaker 5: went when he was ready to, Like he was absolutely
- 1:18:21Speaker 5: like I got.
- 1:18:22Speaker 11: He was talking about he was talking about doing another album,
- 1:18:25Speaker 11: Like he could still sings, as you know, has proven
- 1:18:29Speaker 11: by that show but like he you know, they're, oh,
- 1:18:36Speaker 11: he absolutely loved it.
- 1:18:37Speaker 10: Yeah, I don't. I don't.
- 1:18:39Speaker 11: Celebrity desks don't hit me very hard very frequently. Like
- 1:18:42Speaker 11: I'm not saying, I don't care, and they just don't
- 1:18:44Speaker 11: like affect me on a on a personal basis very often.
- 1:18:49Speaker 11: I can name handful of them. I think Robin Williams
- 1:18:51Speaker 11: was one of them that was.
- 1:18:53Speaker 6: Absolutely you know, I've hurt so much when he.
- 1:18:58Speaker 11: Passed Dinebag Darryl from Pantera, when he when he passed,
- 1:19:03Speaker 11: that one hit hard for me. And then this is
- 1:19:06Speaker 11: the other one, Ozzy. Like I saw Ozzy later in
- 1:19:10Speaker 11: his performing career, and I will be honest with you,
- 1:19:13Speaker 11: I wasn't overly impressed with the performance that I saw. Now,
- 1:19:17Speaker 11: that wasn't no, he was still walking around on stage.
- 1:19:20Speaker 11: It seemed like, honestly, it might have even been during
- 1:19:23Speaker 11: that period where that dude was over drugging him like that.
- 1:19:26Speaker 11: That dude, Remember there was that period where this this
- 1:19:28Speaker 11: psychologist was like over medicating him on purpose.
- 1:19:31Speaker 10: So it might have been because of that.
- 1:19:34Speaker 11: But like he was forgetting words, he wasn't like he
- 1:19:38Speaker 11: was not Ozzy, you know what I'm saying. But that
- 1:19:42Speaker 11: doesn't take away from who the fuck he is to music,
- 1:19:46Speaker 11: and and like, most of the music that I'm in
- 1:19:50Speaker 11: love with wouldn't exist if it wasn't for Black Sabbath
- 1:19:54Speaker 11: and Ozzy Osbourne and and you just can't you can't
- 1:19:59Speaker 11: it it hurt.
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, totally get it.
- 1:20:03Speaker 3: Man. I was the same way, like that fucking stuck. I
- 1:20:05Speaker 3: grew up listening to Sabbath and ship.
- 1:20:07Speaker 10: Man yeah, man like, And I'm.
- 1:20:11Speaker 3: I got to see the final concert. I watched the
- 1:20:13Speaker 3: whole fucking thing. It was fucking impressive.
- 1:20:15Speaker 11: So they're they're putting it out in theaters now, but
- 1:20:18Speaker 11: I just don't know is that they're only doing What
- 1:20:20Speaker 11: I'm unclear on is if they're doing just the Sabbath
- 1:20:23Speaker 11: thing or if they're doing.
- 1:20:23Speaker 10: The whole thing.
- 1:20:25Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 1:20:26Speaker 10: Yeah, I don't. Yeah, it's it's unclear.
- 1:20:28Speaker 11: But I will tell you right now, if that thing
- 1:20:30Speaker 11: comes out on DVD or Blu ray in any capacity,
- 1:20:33Speaker 11: I'm buying a copy that one.
- 1:20:36Speaker 3: But it seems like he and everything set up, he
- 1:20:40Speaker 3: was ready, man like. I don't know how anybody else
- 1:20:43Speaker 3: took it, Like, looking at the videos and everything, it
- 1:20:46Speaker 3: seemed like he was passing on to mantle the young Blood,
- 1:20:48Speaker 3: which was cool.
- 1:20:50Speaker 11: Yeah, I think I think he I mean, like, uh yeah,
- 1:20:53Speaker 11: I mean, I'm with you, Smoke and you.
- 1:20:55Speaker 6: Know, beautiful.
- 1:20:57Speaker 11: Think about how much is set up up in the
- 1:21:01Speaker 11: world because of Ozzy, you know what I mean, Like
- 1:21:04Speaker 11: just just I mean, there's you know, you have festivals
- 1:21:08Speaker 11: like Rockville and Downington and all these music festivals honestly
- 1:21:15Speaker 11: without Ozfest.
- 1:21:16Speaker 10: Mm hmmm, you know what I mean.
- 1:21:18Speaker 11: And oz Fest became a kind of a shell of
- 1:21:20Speaker 11: itself by the end of it. But like at its peak,
- 1:21:24Speaker 11: Disturbed doesn't exist without oz fat, Like they not to
- 1:21:29Speaker 11: the level that they exist. They you know, disturb doesn't
- 1:21:33Speaker 11: God Smacks, slip knot, Static X. They all got their
- 1:21:37Speaker 11: starts on oz Fest. And you know, I hear Sharon's
- 1:21:41Speaker 11: a shrewd business woman and very hard to work with sometimes,
- 1:21:45Speaker 11: but like that aside, they still got it. They got there.
- 1:21:50Speaker 11: They they brought this thing around the country every summer
- 1:21:53Speaker 11: for twenty years of just in your face, fucking metal music,
- 1:22:00Speaker 11: fucking summer and it was amazing. And you know, I
- 1:22:04Speaker 11: didn't always love the lineup. You're not going to always
- 1:22:07Speaker 11: love the lineup at a festival show. It's just the
- 1:22:09Speaker 11: way that it goes. But I I I I got
- 1:22:13Speaker 11: the privilege of working three oz fests for Fye and
- 1:22:18Speaker 11: Nice and if it wasn't for that, I I met
- 1:22:21Speaker 11: Corey Taylor from Stone when he was with Stone Sour.
- 1:22:24Speaker 11: I met all of Stone Sour, I met Corn, I
- 1:22:27Speaker 11: met during Gray, I met Flyle. I've met all these bands.
- 1:22:32Speaker 11: I met Disturbed twice. Like you know, I doubt any
- 1:22:35Speaker 11: of them remember me Ye. It's fine, Like it was
- 1:22:38Speaker 11: never that memorable, but I still got moments that I
- 1:22:40Speaker 11: have a whole I have a T shirt that I
- 1:22:42Speaker 11: can see from here that's signed by all these band
- 1:22:45Speaker 11: and it's like, oh yeah man, and it's and it's
- 1:22:48Speaker 11: because I got to go hang out with this fest
- 1:22:50Speaker 11: and I got to do that because Ozzy was fucking Ozzy,
- 1:22:53Speaker 11: and you know he's not He's not, you know, like
- 1:22:59Speaker 11: you have share in Madonna's people had one name, right,
- 1:23:02Speaker 11: like he's still Ozzy Osbourne. But like you can just
- 1:23:06Speaker 11: say Ozzie. Everybody knows who the fuck you're talking about.
- 1:23:10Speaker 11: And if you don't, then I don't I'm sorry for you.
- 1:23:14Speaker 11: Like right, yeah, uh no more tears. I'm gonna say
- 1:23:21Speaker 11: this right now. That album is a perfect album. It
- 1:23:25Speaker 11: is five perfect albums in my lifetime.
- 1:23:27Speaker 6: For the Prince of Darkness. He sure did a lot
- 1:23:29Speaker 6: of good.
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: Yeah he did.
- 1:23:31Speaker 6: Like last show raised like one hundred and seventy million.
- 1:23:36Speaker 10: Dollars or something like that. Yeah, a third.
- 1:23:40Speaker 6: Like he was a amount.
- 1:23:42Speaker 10: He was a devout Catholic. I mean that he went
- 1:23:46Speaker 10: for a reason. He went to church regularly.
- 1:23:49Speaker 11: Like you know, this Prince of Darkness thing was a
- 1:23:52Speaker 11: moniker and it's a great moniker and he earned it
- 1:23:55Speaker 11: in a positive way. But like he isn't to your point,
- 1:23:58Speaker 11: not only believed people. Yeah, yeah, his favorite does anyone know?
- 1:24:03Speaker 11: I mean you all might, I mean I know, I
- 1:24:05Speaker 11: I when I found this out years ago, I was stunned.
- 1:24:08Speaker 11: But it really didn't surprise me either. Do you know
- 1:24:11Speaker 11: who his favorite band was of all time? His favorite
- 1:24:14Speaker 11: band the Beatles.
- 1:24:17Speaker 6: I was gonna say.
- 1:24:18Speaker 14: That the fact that, honestly, but the fact that this
- 1:24:24Speaker 14: guy who created this genre that could be so far
- 1:24:28Speaker 14: the opposite of what the Beatles are.
- 1:24:32Speaker 11: Loved the Beatles Like it was it was watching the
- 1:24:34Speaker 11: Beatles that made him want to form Black Sabbath. And
- 1:24:37Speaker 11: you know they weren't called that originally. I forget what
- 1:24:40Speaker 11: the name of the band was, and it was more
- 1:24:41Speaker 11: of a blues band honestly when they started and and
- 1:24:44Speaker 11: then they wrote, they wrote iron Man to be almost
- 1:24:49Speaker 11: like almost a bluesy type song, but they got Tony
- 1:24:53Speaker 11: Iomi had turned turned his amp down a little bit,
- 1:24:56Speaker 11: and that's how they got that heavier sound. And then
- 1:24:58Speaker 11: they just started writing it and the iron Man comes
- 1:25:01Speaker 11: to be, and and the rest is pretty much history
- 1:25:04Speaker 11: from there, and we get a whole genre of music
- 1:25:08Speaker 11: out of it, you know.
- 1:25:10Speaker 10: Black Sabbath.
- 1:25:11Speaker 11: Even though the other three guys are still around, they
- 1:25:14Speaker 11: and they've performed with other vocalists over the years, they
- 1:25:17Speaker 11: can't not with Ossie gone now.
- 1:25:19Speaker 10: I think they just have to stop, I you know, I.
- 1:25:23Speaker 6: Mean, you know, if you got enough money to retire.
- 1:25:27Speaker 10: They had money to retire forty years ago, and.
- 1:25:31Speaker 6: They're going to be good. You know, it's not gonna
- 1:25:33Speaker 6: be worried.
- 1:25:33Speaker 11: But I just I think after that concert smoked to
- 1:25:37Speaker 11: your point, you can't go out there again, and not
- 1:25:41Speaker 11: not after that concert. Not the only way the only
- 1:25:43Speaker 11: way they get to do it again is if they
- 1:25:45Speaker 11: do what Queen did. Right after Freddy Mercury died. They
- 1:25:48Speaker 11: had that Freddie Mercury concert and they had a bunch
- 1:25:51Speaker 11: of people come in and kind of front it in
- 1:25:53Speaker 11: the music, all want to age research.
- 1:25:55Speaker 10: And there's talk right.
- 1:25:56Speaker 11: Now of turning the anniversary of that concert you're talking
- 1:26:02Speaker 11: about into the yearly oz Fast and it'll be that
- 1:26:05Speaker 11: one day, that one and it'll always be at that
- 1:26:08Speaker 11: one location, and all the money will go to that
- 1:26:11Speaker 11: same charity every year. Like there's talk of that actually
- 1:26:14Speaker 11: becoming a thing. And if that happened. If that happens,
- 1:26:18Speaker 11: then you can have Sabit come play that show, Like
- 1:26:21Speaker 11: that's the one that they can come play, otherwise they
- 1:26:24Speaker 11: have to stop. I just I don't know how you
- 1:26:26Speaker 11: do it.
- 1:26:27Speaker 6: It's well os rest in peace man. Yeah, I appreciate it.
- 1:26:32Speaker 7: But you will be missed one, but your impact will
- 1:26:36Speaker 7: go on for decades in centuries. Yeah, well that is
- 1:26:43Speaker 7: going to be it from us.
- 1:26:44Speaker 6: I think that's a good long show.
- 1:26:46Speaker 7: But we chilled and we talked about fun stuff and
- 1:26:49Speaker 7: we talked about thing I can do for hours.
- 1:26:53Speaker 10: But thank you again for that. That's it for letting me.
- 1:26:56Speaker 7: Thank you for doing it, man, and thank you for listening.
- 1:26:58Speaker 7: Thank you for bringing it up to talk about it.
- 1:27:00Speaker 7: That's that made my day.
- 1:27:02Speaker 6: It really did. So yeah, thank you to DJ's anthis. Now.
- 1:27:06Speaker 7: I know you're not putting on shows yet, but is
- 1:27:11Speaker 7: there anything you'd like to plug at the moment.
- 1:27:13Speaker 11: I mean no, unfortunately, there's nothing yet because like you said,
- 1:27:17Speaker 11: I mean, I'm hopefully going to be a playing rocket
- 1:27:19Speaker 11: League with you guys again soon. That'll be fun. But
- 1:27:23Speaker 11: as of right now, no, But just know, those of
- 1:27:26Speaker 11: you that are listening that are fans of my radio show,
- 1:27:29Speaker 11: I'm diligently working to get it.
