- 0:00All right, all right, all right, all right, all right.
- 0:02We have football tonight, folks,
- 0:05but you know what?
- 0:05We have a pressing matter that needs to be talked about
- 0:09right now, okay?
- 0:10Devante Adams wants out.
- 0:12Now, I did talk briefly about it in the last episode,
- 0:16but we have to go deep now that there's more information
- 0:20that has come out about this entire conundrum, okay?
- 0:23We gotta talk about what caused this,
- 0:25best teams, best situations,
- 0:27all those different types of things and more,
- 0:29as well as tonight's game, which is the Bucks and Falcons,
- 0:32okay?
- 0:33Cowboys and the Steelers play Sunday night,
- 0:36Miami versus Cal, Georgia versus Auburn,
- 0:39and Colorado versus Kansas State, okay?
- 0:42We're gonna keep this episode as short, sweet,
- 0:44and to the point as best as we can,
- 0:47but if we go over, well, then guess what?
- 0:49Oh, well, okay?
- 0:50I am your host, okay?
- 0:52I am your chief, head of the table, chief,
- 0:55Bagrow Domus.
- 0:56I am your chief head of the table, two times,
- 1:00two times, folks, okay?
- 1:01Two times, chief meteorologist,
- 1:05Bag meteorologist, if I may say so myself, okay?
- 1:08I am a GM that still currently is not on the team right now,
- 1:12but best believe, guess what?
- 1:13I've already come first, second,
- 1:15and third round mock drafts for next year's draft
- 1:19in the year before that, okay?
- 1:21I'm all of these things and more, okay?
- 1:23But the most important title
- 1:24that you need to worry about is,
- 1:26I am your fellow football junkie,
- 1:28your host with the most Cal.
- 1:32Now you already know what I'm getting ready to say.
- 1:35You're probably thinking,
- 1:35you're probably getting ready to turn up the volume,
- 1:37you're probably getting ready to turn down the volume.
- 1:38I don't know, but guess what?
- 1:39One, three, one, two, three, let's lock in.
- 1:42[♪ upbeat music playing
- 2:12All right folks, let's just get into the meat and potatoes of everything that is going on
- 2:20because there is a lot that is going on right now in the league.
- 2:24So the biggest news that needs to be talked about is Oakland receiver Devonte Adams has
- 2:30officially requested a trade.
- 2:31He wants out of Las Vegas.
- 2:34I keep on saying Oakland.
- 2:35It shows you how old I am.
- 2:38Before we get into the crevices of this entire situation, we have to take a step back and
- 2:44we have to first identify what caused him to make this move.
- 2:50So originally there was an Instagram post talking about that this possibly could have
- 2:55been Devonte Adams last season with the Raiders and head coach Antonio Pierce liked it.
- 3:07He liked it.
- 3:08And so that caused a somewhat of a snowball effect to where now to where he does not want
- 3:15to be there.
- 3:16Okay, he wants out.
- 3:17Now when we look at this, you know, this is a very, this is the Raiders once again, being
- 3:22the Raiders doing Raiders things.
- 3:25Okay.
- 3:26And you know, this is somewhat of a conversation that I have with with with with MOOC yesterday.
- 3:32Basically, you know, if you had feelings about Devonte Adams and you felt like this towards
- 3:39him, like you, you just didn't want, you just didn't rock with him no more and you wanted
- 3:43to move on from him, then you should have just kept that behind closed doors.
- 3:48Right.
- 3:49That should have been something that you talk about, you know, at the dinner table or on
- 3:52your way home, you know, from, you know, from work or something like that.
- 3:56That's not something that you bring with you, you know, into social media because guess
- 4:02what, people are going to connect the dots.
- 4:04Okay.
- 4:05People are going to, they're going to connect the dots.
- 4:07They're going to figure out if this is true or not.
- 4:09And they're going to figure out if that's really you and that's really you.
- 4:11Then guess what?
- 4:12Boom.
- 4:13You're caught red handed.
- 4:14And, you know, but at the same time, this is a very picky situation because who is really
- 4:20going to be willing to go after Devonte Adams money wise, because when we look at this,
- 4:27this is the last year that of his deal that he has fully guaranteed money.
- 4:32And we all know that the next two years, okay, according to who spot rack shout out to the
- 4:38spot rack, no one's going to be willing to have to keep him on the team where next year's
- 4:44base salary is going to be both 35 million.
- 4:48No one's not going to want to do that.
- 4:49No one.
- 4:50And so when we look at this, it is somewhat of a bad contract.
- 4:55It's a bad contract to take on because the only way that you can justify it is you would
- 5:00have to give him an extension.
- 5:02That's the only way because he's going to want more guaranteed money.
- 5:06He's not going to keep on playing and there's no guaranteed money.
- 5:08So that's another that will I'm going to have myself as always.
- 5:14But you know, just that that's that's the first thing that you have to worry about.
- 5:18The next thing is you have to figure out, you know, how long does he want to play for
- 5:23because at some point he's there's going to be a decline.
- 5:26It's for any player.
- 5:27I don't care if you are an all pro first battle hall of fame or all those different types
- 5:32of things, all different types of credentials.
- 5:35Everyone hits the point where you start to decline and you don't want to put you, you
- 5:40don't want to put the cart before the horse and then you're basically, you know, you don't
- 5:45gave him a two year, $60 million extension and then he only plays for one year.
- 5:50And he retires, you don't want that, you don't.
- 5:54So again, it's a very nasty situation altogether.
- 5:57But you know, if we can be real here, the Raiders once again, and I will continue to say this
- 6:03and I've been saying it multiple times, they continue to shoot themselves in the foot.
- 6:08Continue here, you have a team who has allowed their best players to walk.
- 6:14Okay.
- 6:15From Josh Jacobs, they let him walk.
- 6:17They cut Hunter Renfro.
- 6:19Now Devonte Adams wants out.
- 6:21It's only a matter of time before Max Crosby wants out as well.
- 6:25Right.
- 6:26Because the team, it's not the end.
- 6:29This is this sort of sort of goes into what I said yesterday about quarterbacks and in
- 6:34organizational whatnot, but Raiders have been a dysfunctional organization for over 20 some
- 6:38years now.
- 6:39I'm 29 years old.
- 6:41And as far as I can remember, they have been a dysfunctional organization.
- 6:45The last time that they were, the last time they really weren't as dysfunctional as they
- 6:50are now was when out Davis guy rested.
- 6:52So we're still alive when he was like, you know, in his right mind and, you know, he
- 6:57had control over the team and stuff like that.
- 7:01That was the last time where they, you know, they were, they were doing their thing.
- 7:03They had some motion.
- 7:04They had some, uh, some, some juice with them, but now it's horrible.
- 7:09It's absolutely horrible.
- 7:11It's unstable.
- 7:12It's just a nasty situation.
- 7:15And you know, if I am a player, I'm looking at Antonio Pierce with a side eye because,
- 7:21you know, if this is how you feel about, you know, the best offensive player on the team,
- 7:27how do you feel about me behind closed doors?
- 7:29Like this, this is only going to get worse as the season progresses.
- 7:34It's going to, and you know, it puts everybody else in a bad situation because now this,
- 7:42Raiders offense is going to get squashed.
- 7:44It's going to get squashed.
- 7:46The only real hope that they have was the Bonte Adams.
- 7:50That's it.
- 7:51Brock Bowers is a rookie.
- 7:52So he's still, he's still getting, you know, still, still learning everything and whatnot.
- 7:57I don't even know who the running back is.
- 7:58No disrespect to you.
- 8:00Gardner Mentshu doesn't have a reliable weapon anymore.
- 8:02So what exactly is the identity of the Raiders now?
- 8:06What is it?
- 8:07I can't say, oh, it's smash, smash mouth, you know, football, you know, the old sayings
- 8:14that they used to say about the Raiders.
- 8:15You can't say that anymore because they haven't done anything.
- 8:19They are just, they, they're horrible.
- 8:23This is a horrible organization.
- 8:25If I'm Christian Wilkins, I'm probably regretting the decision I made of signing with the Raiders
- 8:31because you just, you went from a semi-good situation with the Dolphins to a just flat
- 8:38out toxic situation with, you know, the Raiders, but, you know, I digress.
- 8:43But moving forward, you know, there, there have been, you know, some, some rumblings
- 8:47of certain teams that, that he would go for.
- 8:49And some of the teams included, I think the 49ers, the Cowboys, the Jets, the Steelers,
- 8:55the Bills.
- 8:56I even think the Ravens were, were brought up, I think at, at one time, I can tell you
- 9:00now the Cowboys have already backed out.
- 9:03They've already backed out.
- 9:04They, they don't want to be interested in it.
- 9:06But all the other teams though, it is very lucrative for all of them though.
- 9:11And even teams that, that haven't been listed, but this is what I will say.
- 9:15This, this might turn, this might turn it into someone of a, of a rank.
- 9:20Devonte Adams put himself in this situation.
- 9:24Okay.
- 9:25I understand that you made a move out of emotion.
- 9:28Okay.
- 9:29You made a move out of emotion because of what Aaron Rogers did.
- 9:33I get that.
- 9:34But you left a stable organization to go into a dysfunctional organization.
- 9:39Although yes, you did get the money, but guess what?
- 9:41You're not winning.
- 9:42You haven't been winning and you're used to winning.
- 9:45And now that you're in this, this crazy situation and you have this big deal, guess what?
- 9:51Not a lot of teams have the cap space flexibility to be able to absorb your contract.
- 9:57They don't.
- 9:58So what in the world are people going to do at this point?
- 10:03There's no, and I know there, there was a report that was coming out that, you know,
- 10:07Devonte Adams only wants to play with quarterbacks that he's, that he's played with in the past.
- 10:12Bro, throw that out the window.
- 10:15Throw that out the window because neither one of the quarterbacks that you play for,
- 10:19whether it be Derek Carl or Aaron Rogers or any situation right now where they can compete
- 10:24and make a deep playoff, a deep playoff run and possibly win a Super Bowl, neither one.
- 10:29I'm going to carry anyone says from neither one of those fan bases, neither one of those
- 10:33teams are in a place right now where they can legitimately compete with the best of
- 10:39the best teams in not only in the AFC, but in the entire league and possibly win a Super
- 10:44Bowl.
- 10:45They're not.
- 10:46The jets are literally a loss away from just blowing everything up.
- 10:53Right?
- 10:54You're going to go from a toxic situation with the Raiders to another toxic situation
- 10:58with the jets and that, that whole debacle in itself, especially when you have people
- 11:04like Garrett Wilson that, you know, has come out publicly and sort of, you know, talked
- 11:09about how he's not being, how he feels like he's not being utilized the best way that
- 11:14he possibly can and how this offense could do more than have it.
- 11:17So you have that mix with, you know, the, the instability with the Saints because the
- 11:24Saints at this point have been trying to offer a rebuild, but at this point they're going
- 11:27to have to go through a rebuild.
- 11:29Okay.
- 11:30It's time.
- 11:31It's time.
- 11:32It's time to make that transition from Drew Brees.
- 11:36They still think that, you know, if they get Derek Carr, you know, that puts them back
- 11:39in the running and they can possibly do something.
- 11:42No.
- 11:43No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, it doesn't.
- 11:46It just doesn't.
- 11:47That team does not have enough on both sides of the ball where they can be competitive,
- 11:52where they can go, you know, toe to toe with some of the best teams, not only in their
- 11:56conference, but in the league.
- 11:58They don't.
- 11:59Okay.
- 12:00If the Saints right now were to go up against the Vikings, it would not end well.
- 12:04It won't.
- 12:05So either way, you know, where, where exactly could you go?
- 12:10You can go to the Chiefs because the Chiefs don't have the, the cap flexibility, you know,
- 12:14to get you, not to mention it's in your division and the Raiders aren't going to do that.
- 12:19They're just, they're not going to do that.
- 12:21I mean, you could go to the Bills that that would definitely, you know, probably be a
- 12:26great situation because, you know, you'll be playing with a, an elite quarterback in
- 12:31Josh Allen.
- 12:32You'll be the number one receiver.
- 12:34So you'll, you'll be getting a majority of the balls.
- 12:37You will.
- 12:38But, you know, do you really want to do that?
- 12:41Do you want to go to Pittsburgh?
- 12:43Even though, yes, you know, there's a whole bunch of conundrums and drama with the quarterback
- 12:48position, quote unquote, air quote, big air quotes, you know, with Justin Fields and Russell
- 12:52Wilson, they're winning.
- 12:55They're winning.
- 12:56They're winning right now.
- 12:57Yes.
- 12:58They lost to the Colts, which, you know, that's I'll talk about that, you know, later, later
- 13:04into the episode, but they're winning.
- 13:07They're winning.
- 13:08They have, they have motion.
- 13:09They're starting to do things.
- 13:11Things are starting to go in the right direction for the Steelers.
- 13:16So I ask you, Devonte, if I was to have a conversation with Devonte Adams, really think
- 13:21hard about this decision.
- 13:24You, you, you were, you were the most successful when you were in a stable organization in
- 13:30the Packers.
- 13:31You want to continue to do that.
- 13:33You don't want to continue to be in this situation where you are not, where you're going from
- 13:40a toxic organization to toxic organization to toxic organization.
- 13:44You don't want that.
- 13:45You don't.
- 13:46And you want to win.
- 13:47You got the bag.
- 13:49Okay.
- 13:50Now you should probably want to go to the best team possible that is going to, you know,
- 13:55possibly make a playoff run and maybe even a deep playoff run and possibly, you know,
- 14:00try to compete, at least compete for a title.
- 14:03They'll necessarily have to win it, but at least if you can experience that, you know,
- 14:09that atmosphere of, you know, possibly going to the Super Bowl and whatnot, that means
- 14:13the whole world compared to, you know, okay, yeah, I got the bag and you know, that's it.
- 14:18Because then you're going to be one of these, you're going to be one of these players, you
- 14:22know, once you're done, once you're done with football and whatnot, it's going to be
- 14:25saying, man, I wish I would have done X, Y and Z.
- 14:27I possibly could have won the title of this and the other blah, blah, blah, all the things
- 14:31that all those, you know, salty former players say, but you have an opportunity to do it
- 14:36because why you're still regarded as one of the best receivers in the league.
- 14:41Now when we get to the money side of everything, I don't think teams are going to be willing
- 14:47to commit to him long term.
- 14:50Now they may just give him just one extension and you know, it just gives them, it gives
- 14:56him a lot of guarantee money or it may do a two year that made that's actually a one
- 15:00year.
- 15:01I don't know, but there's a way that they can do it.
- 15:03Okay.
- 15:04You have options.
- 15:05You could go to Washington right now.
- 15:09Washington is hot.
- 15:11You have Terry McCoyne with the Vonte Adams on that offense and Jaden Daniels.
- 15:16That's a deadly combination right there.
- 15:19That is a very deadly combination.
- 15:21Looking to the Eagles possibly because you know, AJ Brown is down and Vonte Smith is
- 15:27down.
- 15:28You have options.
- 15:29The Vonte Smith, I mean, the Vonte Adams, you have options, but if you don't want to
- 15:35do it, but if you don't make the right decision, guess what?
- 15:38No one is going to feel bad for you.
- 15:40Know what?
- 15:41No one's going to feel bad for old Devonte Adams.
- 15:44You put yourself in the situation, get yourself out of this situation.
- 15:48You now have another chance, a second chance that we're being real here to rewrite the
- 15:54first wrong that you did, which was leave the Packers because now the Packers are in
- 15:59a great space.
- 16:00They are.
- 16:01And I don't even think the Packers would entertain trying to get you back at this point.
- 16:05I just don't.
- 16:06But who am I now on to tonight's game Thursday night's game now?
- 16:11It's a game that, you know, probably not everybody's going to watch, but you know, I'll probably
- 16:15watch it just because I like football and I'm a football junkie and all that stuff.
- 16:19Now Falcons and Buccaneers.
- 16:22Now this is a division rival game.
- 16:24If I'm not mistaken, should be a pretty good game.
- 16:27Should be a pretty intense game.
- 16:28Now, I will say this, you know, Buccaneers are coming off of a really good win from the
- 16:35Eagles.
- 16:36They clip their wings.
- 16:37The Falcons have are, you know, they're starting to get some motion.
- 16:41They're starting to, you know, get into the swing of things.
- 16:44So, you know, I just jot it down a few notes from NFL Pro that definitely caught my eye.
- 16:50And you know, just to go over, you know, into this, you know, into this preview.
- 16:55So, according to NFL Pro, shout out to them, Chris Godwin is tied second in reception
- 17:00at 17 receiving yards in 228 and tied for the most touchdowns, two of them in the slot.
- 17:07Now when we look at this, you know, Chris Godwin is definitely one of the best slot
- 17:12receivers in the league right now.
- 17:13He's definitely been doing his thing that Buccaneers often has definitely been balling
- 17:18out, you know, since they've re-signed Baker Mayfield.
- 17:22So, you know, I think it's going to be a really good matchup.
- 17:25I do.
- 17:26I do with the Falcons, you know, secondary.
- 17:29I do believe this is going to be good.
- 17:31I don't think it's going to be this, you know, high scoring game.
- 17:35I think it's going to be low scoring, probably within the, you know, the 20s, maybe like,
- 17:40you know, mid to high 20s.
- 17:42And I just don't think it's going to be this, you know, dynamic Thursday night game.
- 17:46Now, in the last three of the four games, Kirk Cousins has only has thrown for less
- 17:51than two touchdowns.
- 17:52Okay.
- 17:53So, you know, we all know Kirk Cousins is going to do Kirk Cousins things.
- 17:56Now, the question is, you know, is it going to be somewhat of a race of who can put up
- 18:02the most points on the board or who was going to, or basically, you know, who's going to
- 18:07have the ball last?
- 18:08I think that that's what it's really going to come down to because Kirk Cousins show
- 18:13in the Eagles game, you know, that he's, he's still that guy.
- 18:16So, you know, let's see what happens when his first, you know, divisional game against,
- 18:20you know, the Buccaneers, because the Buccaneers defense low key has been doing their thing.
- 18:25Okay.
- 18:26Anytime you can, you can, you know, do what they did to the Eagles.
- 18:30Hey, that, that puts you on the map.
- 18:32Okay.
- 18:33Now, on 25 pass rushes this season, right?
- 18:36Levante David has generated nine, which is the most for any off ball linebacker, whether
- 18:42we want to a mirror and not folks.
- 18:44Levante David has still is still at this point in his career is still one of the best linebackers
- 18:51in the league.
- 18:52Now, he may have fall off a little bit.
- 18:54You know, he may have gotten a little bit slower, but just know the mind is still there.
- 18:58Okay.
- 18:59He can still make plays.
- 19:00He can still do things.
- 19:02Okay.
- 19:03And, you know, nothing really bad to say about Levante David.
- 19:06I think, you know, this off season when, when he was a free agent, I, I definitely, you
- 19:12know, definitely believe that he wasn't going to leave the Buccaneers.
- 19:16You know, that, that is somebody who was going to be a Buccaneer for life, you know, and,
- 19:21you know, it shows he's, he's been balling out.
- 19:24He's been doing his thing.
- 19:25Now I'm not saying he's up there with Fred Warner and real clown Smith, but he is, you
- 19:30know, a tier or a tier or two below them, though he is still, you know, one of those
- 19:35dogs.
- 19:36Okay.
- 19:37The Falcons have used 11, 11 personnel, 85.1% of the time, which is the second most in the
- 19:43lead, which in my mind sort of symbolizes that they're probably going to be running
- 19:47the ball a little bit more in this game simply because I mean, you have, you know, Bison
- 19:53Robinson doing his thing.
- 19:54That offensive line is meant to be a road grading, you know, offensive line.
- 19:59They're meant to wear you down to impose their will on you and just, you know, book points
- 20:04on the board, march down the field.
- 20:06And what, what better way to do it than to do it against a divisional opponent, you know?
- 20:12Now I will say this, the, the Buccaneers defensive line, you know, they may try to put up a little
- 20:19bit of resistance at first, but I don't, but, you know, as, as the game goes on, I don't
- 20:24think they're going to, I don't think it's really going to be that much of a problem.
- 20:28Now me personally, I think my prediction for this game will probably be 20, 24.
- 20:3524, 24, 22 Falcons.
- 20:40Just because the vision, the vision games are always close.
- 20:43Always have, always will be the always be close.
- 20:47The always be low scoring.
- 20:48It's very rare.
- 20:49If you have a divisional game that's very high scoring and whatnot, very rare.
- 20:54Now on to the Steelers and Cowboys.
- 20:57Yes, we do have to talk about them because why not because I'm a Steelers fan, but because
- 21:02it's going to be one of the biggest games on Sunday night, I know everyone's going to
- 21:05be watching and especially Cowboys fans, unfortunately.
- 21:09Now with this, you know, this is a game where basically both teams have a lot to prove at
- 21:15this point because the Steelers are coming off of, you know, their first loss against
- 21:20the Colts.
- 21:21And, you know, there have been a lot of questions about that Steelers offense, you know, it has
- 21:27taken them a while for them to get the engine going and to be able to put points on the
- 21:32board, not to mention a lot of the decision making that Mike Tomlin has been doing lately.
- 21:38We have seen times in games where, you know, they're in field goal range and instead of
- 21:43just kicking the field goal and putting points on the board, you just try to go forward on
- 21:47fourth down.
- 21:48Now granted, I understand Justin Fields is athletic.
- 21:51He's fast and all those different types of things.
- 21:53But if you have three points just sitting there, just take the three points.
- 21:57Take the three points.
- 21:59Instead of trying to take the risk of trying to convert the fourth down, because if you
- 22:03don't convert the fourth down, that puts you at a disadvantage.
- 22:07It does.
- 22:08And, you know, I understand, you know, the vision for the team is, you know, this smash
- 22:15mouth, you know, punch you in the mouth type of, you know, offense that's just, you know,
- 22:21running, running it down your throat.
- 22:22I get all of that.
- 22:23But so far, it hasn't really worked the best.
- 22:26The Steelers have to, the Steelers offense has to put points on the board.
- 22:31That is where we still are at this point, you know, in this cycle of the NFL.
- 22:36You still have to put points on the board.
- 22:37You can't, you can't wait to do it until the second half.
- 22:41You have to start the, the cult came, came out guns blazing in the first half of the
- 22:47game.
- 22:48And then once Anthony Richardson went down Joe Flacco did Joe Flacco things and he showed
- 22:55that why he's still that guy.
- 22:57He's Joe Flacco and Mooc Mooc will will will agree with me with this is a Raven for life.
- 23:03No matter what other Jersey he puts on, if he goes up against the Steelers, guess what
- 23:07Joe Flacco is going to do Joe Flacco things.
- 23:09And that's exactly what he did.
- 23:11That's exactly what he did.
- 23:13The defense has to get better.
- 23:15Patrick Queen has to get better.
- 23:17Joe Porter, Jr. has to get better.
- 23:19Okay.
- 23:20As far as TJ Y, you know, being silent in the Colts game, I can't really, I already
- 23:25know he's going to rebound that that's just who TJ Y is.
- 23:29It's very rare where he has a very quiet game.
- 23:32He doesn't do anything.
- 23:34Okay.
- 23:35Now these are just, you know, some notes as well that I've, you know, I've sort of
- 23:38jot it down as well for this upcoming game.
- 23:41So the Cowboys have allowed the fourth most rushing yards in the league, which is 444
- 23:46rushing yards.
- 23:47This is what I will say with them not having both D law and Michael Parsons, the Steelers
- 23:54better run, run it, run it as run it as much as you want, run it till you can't run it
- 24:00no more because that defensive line is weak.
- 24:03You guys have the advantage.
- 24:05Just do it.
- 24:07Just do it.
- 24:08You have Najee here is who hopefully he's, he's healthy enough to play a quarter of a
- 24:12second, I don't think he probably will be playing, but they did move, I forgot his name.
- 24:18I just, I literally just thought of him.
- 24:20I just forgot it, but they moved up some players and whatnot.
- 24:23So I do expect the Steelers to definitely, you know, run the ball heavy, very heavy into
- 24:30this game simply because, you know, the Cowboys have been horrible when it comes to stopping
- 24:35the run and everyone knows that.
- 24:37And you know, what, what better way to impose your will than to just keep running the ball
- 24:42on the team that's giving up the, the fourth most rushing yards in the, in the league.
- 24:46Now, Cam Hayward has, has generated the ninth highest pressure rate for the tackles at 13.3
- 24:52percent.
- 24:53This is what I would say because I don't think I've had the chance to say it.
- 24:56I was wrong.
- 24:57I was wrong.
- 24:58Yes, you're your former GM who currently is not on the team right now was wrong.
- 25:02And the reason why I say that is because originally when, you know, Cameron Hayward was looking
- 25:09for a deal, I was thinking, you know, he's looking for one, you know, big, big payout
- 25:13or something like that.
- 25:14But, you know, when, when we got the details of the deal, it was manageable.
- 25:19It was manageable.
- 25:20It was very manageable.
- 25:21And, you know, he's been doing his thing.
- 25:24He's been balling out.
- 25:25He's been stuffing the run.
- 25:27He looks like the Cam Hayward of old.
- 25:28So maybe he just needed, you know, to get healthy and whatnot.
- 25:32And, you know, he's, he's playing with a purpose.
- 25:34He's playing with a purpose and it shows.
- 25:37So you know, I would be the first of many to say that I was wrong about Cam.
- 25:42I was, I was definitely wrong.
- 25:44Now, more junkie nuggets.
- 25:47When dropping back, DiPrescott has used play action at 18.6 percent.
- 25:51Okay.
- 25:52And another junkie nugget for this game is Justin Fields has thrown outside the numbers
- 25:57at 53.2 percent completing 42 out of 58 passes for 449 yards and one touchdown.
- 26:04Now, when we look at this, you know, Justin Fields, you know, continue, you know, is continuing
- 26:11on this journey of proving himself to be a starting caliber quarterback.
- 26:16Okay.
- 26:17Because, you know, it feels like, you know, they're trying to give Russell Wilson a chance
- 26:23to, you know, try to at least be the backup, but, you know, from, from the videos, from
- 26:28the practice footage that I've seen, he doesn't look like he can move.
- 26:32He doesn't look like he can do anything.
- 26:34And granted, I understand, you know, that this was a very preventable injury.
- 26:39You know, I don't understand why they would have him to move a sled up a hill.
- 26:43That was, you know, definitely a dumb thing to do because I know for dad on shore, they
- 26:47wouldn't have, you know, asked Ben to do it, but that's another story for another day.
- 26:51But you know, he just, he, Russell Wilson, just, he does not look good.
- 26:56He does not.
- 26:57He doesn't look like he's able to do play action, roll out.
- 27:02He's not, he doesn't look, he doesn't look like he can do anything.
- 27:04He looks like, if you put him on the field, if a defender tackles him one good time, he's
- 27:11done.
- 27:13That's how Russell Wilson looks like.
- 27:14So, you know, hopefully, hopefully the Steelers come, come out of this game, you know, guns
- 27:19blazing.
- 27:20And they're not saying they have to put up 30, 40, 50, 60 points or not saying that,
- 27:24but you have to put points on the board.
- 27:26Okay.
- 27:27You cannot give this Cowboys offense or defense a chance to, you know, to, to get a rhythm.
- 27:33You cannot stop the run, put pressure on that press.
- 27:37Scott, be physical, play ball.
- 27:41That's it.
- 27:42That's all you have to do.
- 27:43You do that and we win the game.
- 27:44Right.
- 27:45Now, moving on to college football, because we know we all love college football.
- 27:48Okay.
- 27:49Miami versus Cow.
- 27:50Yes.
- 27:51Miami versus Cow.
- 27:52So this is the first matchup since 08.
- 27:5508.
- 27:56I don't even know how that wasn't 08.
- 27:598, 9, 10.
- 28:00I don't know.
- 28:01Don't even matter.
- 28:02Forget about it.
- 28:03Kim Ward is coming off of a 38, 34 victory over Virginia Tech.
- 28:07Okay.
- 28:08He was 24 for 38, 343 yards, 60, a 63.2 completion percentage and averaged nine yards per pass
- 28:16attempt, four touchdowns, two, two picks and a QBR of 89.4.
- 28:22Now I know this was another play.
- 28:24I know there was another player that I was forgetting.
- 28:26Cam Ward.
- 28:27Cam Ward has definitely been doing his thing.
- 28:29Cam Ward has definitely caught my attention and I'm probably going to be starting to look
- 28:33at more, more footage of Cam Ward because, you know, he's a really good quarterback.
- 28:38He's a really, really, really, really good quarterback.
- 28:41I thought, you know, I was definitely, I did not know your talents, brother.
- 28:46I did not.
- 28:47He's doing his thing.
- 28:48He's balling out.
- 28:49Miami is doing their thing.
- 28:50Like the Miami of old are being dominant, you know, on both sides of the ball.
- 28:55And you know, if they continue on this streak, I do think it's going to come down to, like
- 29:00I said again, Chador, Travis Hunter, Travis Hunter, Cam Ward and the running back from
- 29:07Boise State.
- 29:08I think it's going to come down to those four.
- 29:10I don't think it's going to be anybody else.
- 29:12And you heard it here first on the football junkies podcast.
- 29:14Now, when we look at the Cal quarterback, Fernando Mendoza, he's coming off of a 14-9
- 29:19loss from FSU where he was 22 for 36, 303 yards.
- 29:24A 61.1 completion percentage averaged 8.4 yards per pass attempt, one pick in a QBR 56.3.
- 29:32Now, this is what I would say about Cal.
- 29:35Cal is in a place where, you know, they're coming off the loss.
- 29:38You're going up against a team that's hot, hot, hot, hot.
- 29:43And they've been undefeated.
- 29:44So you already know that the margin of error is going to be very small.
- 29:48You know that this is probably going to be a very emotional game for Miami.
- 29:51And you already know what you're walking into.
- 29:54Okay.
- 29:55So try to minimize the errors, try to, you know, be effective with the passing game as
- 30:02well as the running game.
- 30:04And you know, try to put points on the board.
- 30:05Do not try to turn this into a shootout because I'm telling you, you try to turn this into
- 30:10a shootout with Miami.
- 30:11You are going to lose.
- 30:13You're going to lose.
- 30:14Cam Ward can attack you, you know, in the air as well as with his legs.
- 30:19He can do both.
- 30:21And you know, that offense, they're, they're moving.
- 30:25They're moving and grooving.
- 30:26They're putting points on the board.
- 30:27They're knocking teams, you know, left and right.
- 30:31Okay.
- 30:32Now, going on to the Georgia and Auburn game.
- 30:34Wow.
- 30:35It's only 30 minutes.
- 30:37Oh yeah.
- 30:38Cool.
- 30:39I told you guys, I was going to keep this very light.
- 30:41This game is somewhat of redemption game for both teams, right?
- 30:45And the reason why I say that is because both teams come off of somewhat of a major loss,
- 30:51you know, recently, right?
- 30:53Georgia lost to Alabama in that dynamic game last Saturday and then Auburn, you know, doing
- 30:59Auburn things.
- 31:01Okay.
- 31:02So, you know, a lot of there, there's a lot is riding on this game as well.
- 31:07Okay.
- 31:08You know, both teams want to get back into the winning column.
- 31:10They want to try to, you know, rebound from their last loss.
- 31:13They want to, you know, just, you know, get that out of their mind or whatnot and just
- 31:18try to get one, just try to get a W. So, you know, when we look at this, you know, Carson
- 31:22Beck was coming off a performance where he was 27 for 50, 439 yards, a 54 completion
- 31:29percentage, 8.8 yards per pass attempt, three touchdowns, three picks.
- 31:33Okay.
- 31:34Now, when we look at Peyton Thorn, okay, Peyton Thorn was coming off of a 20.
- 31:39He was coming off of a game where he was 21 for 32, 338 yards, 65.6 completion percentage,
- 31:4710.6 yards per pass attempt, three touchdowns, one interception.
- 31:52Auburn is still, it's still the team that people have to worry about.
- 31:55Okay.
- 31:56They may, they may not have, you know, five star prospects on both sides of the ball and
- 32:01you know, they may not have the most notable people, but just know Auburn can do some things.
- 32:06Okay.
- 32:07And still they can still go, go toe to toe with the best of them.
- 32:10So I just want to see how both quarterbacks are going to respond coming off of, you know,
- 32:15their losses.
- 32:16Are they going to come out here gun swinging?
- 32:18Are they going to try to play very, you know, mild tempered or are they just going to leave
- 32:22it all on the field?
- 32:23Right.
- 32:24Because Carson Beck, you know, by a lot of people's standards, it's supposed to be one
- 32:29of the people that's going to be in the, in the Heisman finalists.
- 32:32I just don't see it personally, but you know, we all know crazy things can happen.
- 32:37Now for Colorado versus Kansas state.
- 32:40Okay.
- 32:41Oh man.
- 32:42Let's see what Dion can do.
- 32:45Let's see what Dion can do.
- 32:47Okay.
- 32:48Chador Sanders is coming off of a 48 21 stomp out against UCF.
- 32:54Okay.
- 32:55Chador was 28 for 35, 290 yards at 80 completion percentage, three touchdowns, one pick in a
- 33:01QBR of 89.1.
- 33:03Avery Johnson was coming off of a 42 20 victory over Oklahoma state where he was 19 for 31,
- 33:10259 yards, a 61.3 completion percentage, 8.4 yards per pass attempt, three touchdowns,
- 33:17one pick in a 92.6 QBR.
- 33:20Now when we look at this, you know, Kansas state has definitely been doing their thing.
- 33:26Avery Johnson has definitely be, has definitely caught my attention.
- 33:29You know, I've, I've, I've looked a little bit of at some Kansas state games and you
- 33:34know, he, he's doing his thing.
- 33:36Now I'm not saying he's, you know, a Heisman finalist or, you know, he's going to be a
- 33:40first round pick or anything like that.
- 33:42But you know, he's been doing his thing.
- 33:44He's definitely been doing his thing.
- 33:46Kansas state, you know, in the last few years have definitely started to, you know, cut,
- 33:51you know, catch, catch my attention.
- 33:53I don't know why, but it's just something about that offense is just like, it's not
- 33:57the best, it's not the worst, but they get it done.
- 34:01I don't know what it is, but they get it done.
- 34:05Now the question is for Kansas state, you know, will that defense be able to stop, you
- 34:10know, that red hot Colorado offense?
- 34:12Because Shadori is still doing his thing.
- 34:15You still have to worry about Travis Hunter on both sides of the ball, as well as those
- 34:19other receivers who in my mind, a lot of those receivers are NFL caliber receivers.
- 34:25Now I'm not saying all of them will be, you know, gone in the first round, but I do believe,
- 34:30you know, people like Jimmy Horn will definitely be taken in the late first round, maybe early
- 34:34second round, depending on how he does in the rest of the season and his combined numbers.
- 34:39And even Travis Hunter, you know, I do believe that, you know, this offense is very capable
- 34:45of continuing to put up some serious numbers.
- 34:48I think people still doubt on Dion in his coaching style.
- 34:52I still think people still sleep on Colorado as a whole.
- 34:57And I think, you know, Colorado has to have to come into this game with that chip on their
- 35:02shoulder.
- 35:03You know, you can't come in here all relaxed and one not just because you guys have been
- 35:06winning.
- 35:07No, you got to keep on going.
- 35:08You got to, you got to come into this game like you've been on the three game losing
- 35:12streak.
- 35:13Okay.
- 35:14That's what they have to do.
- 35:15Now that defense for Colorado, I'll have a lot to say about it because why Travis Hunter
- 35:20is going to do Travis Hunter things.
- 35:22Anybody else just fall into place, do your thing, you know, make the make the right assignments
- 35:28and just win.
- 35:29Just win.
- 35:30That's all they have to do.
- 35:31So I'm going to end this episode here.
- 35:33If you guys like what you are listening to, please, please, please, please, please leave

- 36:55know, within the next few weeks?
- 36:56Because remember, he is still out with the hamstring injury.
- 36:59That is a legitimate injury and he's going to be out for another one to two weeks.
