- 2:02Speaker 3: so exciting. I just can hardly contain myself.
- 2:04Speaker 2: Oh the excitement and freaking Jacko, Jacko jack That was
- 2:09Speaker 2: one hell of an intro.
- 2:11Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 2:12Speaker 4: It's wondrous to be back freaking Jacko, the Man, the myth,
- 2:18Speaker 4: the legend. Oh shit, yeah yeah, Okay, we've been planning
- 2:23Speaker 4: for months and weeks and we've been talking about it.
- 2:27Speaker 4: So much is happening with Halloween Week. If you don't
- 2:31Speaker 4: know what Halloween Week is, Nicole tell them all about it.
- 2:34Speaker 3: Well, this is our second annual, so if you don't
- 2:37Speaker 3: know what Halloween Week is, you can go listen to
- 2:39Speaker 3: the first annual. Then you get like two which is
- 2:41Speaker 3: super cool in seven days of episodes, seven days, seven
- 2:47Speaker 3: days of episodes. So it goes start today and it
- 2:50Speaker 3: ends on Halloween.
- 2:51Speaker 2: Yep So instead of us dropping one episode a week
- 2:54Speaker 2: for the next seven days, you get an episode every
- 2:56Speaker 2: single day. Yeah.
- 2:57Speaker 3: Like, it's pretty much the coolest thing in the whole world.
- 2:59Speaker 2: And not only that, we're dropping some other cool stuff too.
- 3:02Speaker 3: Actually, yeah, like it's grown a little bit from last year.
- 3:05Speaker 3: To be honest, I think, oh yeah, definitely, here will
- 3:07Speaker 3: probably grow a little bit just because we're extra, just
- 3:10Speaker 3: a little bit, just a little extra.
- 3:13Speaker 2: So for example, today, as this episode drops, we are
- 3:16Speaker 2: also dropping two new merch items over in our Red Bubble.
- 3:20Speaker 4: Store, drawn by Ben himself, myself and fun fact.
- 3:26Speaker 2: This contains It's very exciting a Jacko merch. Yes, the
- 3:31Speaker 2: first ever merch available to everyone. We had one other
- 3:35Speaker 2: Jacko line that was available for our patrons the very
- 3:38Speaker 2: first week it opened up. That was it.
- 3:40Speaker 3: Yeah, one week and it was gone.
- 3:41Speaker 2: Gone, never to be released again.
- 3:43Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:44Speaker 3: So now we have a legit Jacko that anyone can buy.
- 3:47Speaker 3: It's very exciting.
- 3:47Speaker 2: So go check that out if you want to get
- 3:49Speaker 2: Jacko on a T shirt or a coffee mug or something.
- 3:52Speaker 3: Socks, you know, I always the socks are always what
- 3:55Speaker 3: comes to my mind. I'm obsessed with that.
- 3:56Speaker 2: I don't know if this design will be applicable to socks,
- 3:59Speaker 2: so it's a little bit too detailed.
- 4:01Speaker 3: Okay, but we should put that hint if you're getting
- 4:04Speaker 3: a T shirt. So Ben and I we pretty much
- 4:06Speaker 3: live in our merch.
- 4:07Speaker 1: Yes, we just do.
- 4:09Speaker 3: Am I wearing one right now? No? I'm not. Actually
- 4:11Speaker 3: that's weird. You have to get the T shirt? What
- 4:14Speaker 3: is it?
- 4:14Speaker 2: The try try Blend. The Try Blend T shirt on
- 4:18Speaker 2: Red Bubble is highly recommended by us. It Oh my god,
- 4:21Speaker 2: we no other merch from any sort of that is it.
- 4:25Speaker 2: That's it.
- 4:25Speaker 3: Yeah, So that's our recommendation.
- 4:27Speaker 2: So are you looking for her forward to Halloween week?
- 4:31Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 4:32Speaker 3: I have been looking forward to Hellowe a week for
- 4:33Speaker 3: like the last month.
- 4:35Speaker 2: I know our patrons are looking forward to Halloween week.
- 4:38Speaker 2: And speaking of patrons, we have some patrons to thank
- 4:41Speaker 2: for signing up this past week. So we have Kristin Blood,
- 4:45Speaker 2: which is ideal for Halloween week. Yeah, Will Wolski, Kevin Walker,
- 4:52Speaker 2: Elizabeth Porsche. I really hope I said that right, and
- 4:55Speaker 2: Alyssa Selberg amazing. Thank you so much for joining us
- 4:59Speaker 2: over our Patreon. If you want to join, feel free
- 5:02Speaker 2: to join. Link is down below. If not, you can

- 5:06Speaker 2: podcast episode. That's cool too.
- 5:08Speaker 3: And speaking of chilling, we're gonna also be doing two
- 5:11Speaker 3: lives this Halloween week. So we're doing one on Saturday,
- 5:15Speaker 3: and we're gonna be carving pumpkins which will then turn
- 5:18Speaker 3: into a pumpkin carving contest.
- 5:20Speaker 2: Yep, so stay tuned for that.
- 5:22Speaker 3: And then we're also going to be going live just
- 5:23Speaker 3: for a little chill maybe Q and a hangout on Halloween.
- 5:27Speaker 2: Yeah, just a Halloween and Chill. Yeah, there we go
- 5:31Speaker 2: non adult rated version because the Netflix and Chill. I
- 5:35Speaker 2: don't want to get anyone confused with that. There.
- 5:37Speaker 3: Yeah I didn't go there, but in.
- 5:39Speaker 2: Case someone did, so, yeah, it's here. I'm stoked. Are
- 5:46Speaker 2: you ready to dive into the very first episode of Halloween?
- 5:49Speaker 3: I think we should just do it. Let's do it.
- 5:52Speaker 2: Well, as Jacko eluded, this is about Jamie Osuna. Now
- 5:58Speaker 2: this guy. We've covered some murderers before, We've covered some psychopaths,
- 6:06Speaker 2: We've covered some seriously deranged individual.
- 6:09Speaker 3: Some nasty mofos.
- 6:11Speaker 2: This guy chilled me to the bone seriously during my research,
- 6:17Speaker 2: probably the most out of any individual we've covered.
- 6:20Speaker 3: Oh okay, this has me very alarmed.
- 6:23Speaker 2: So quite fitting to start off because the.
- 6:26Speaker 3: Name honestly does not ring a bell. I have no
- 6:28Speaker 3: idea who this is.
- 6:29Speaker 2: Well you're about to find out. So to start off,
- 6:34Speaker 2: I want to start off from a quote from his
- 6:35Speaker 2: ex wife. Okay, in an interview with a new source,
- 6:41Speaker 2: she quoted off quote, very few people are born evil.
- 6:46Speaker 2: It's rare. I believe it's nurture over nature.
- 6:51Speaker 3: With Jamie, Well, I mean, the ex wife is probably
- 6:56Speaker 3: not going to say the best about you. But uh,
- 7:00Speaker 3: that's that's deep. Actually it is.
- 7:02Speaker 2: It's very concerning. Yeah, Now I'm not too sure if
- 7:06Speaker 2: I agree with her. However, she probably knows a lot
- 7:08Speaker 2: better than me spending time with him, being married to him.
- 7:11Speaker 2: So just throwing that out there, I'm not too sure
- 7:13Speaker 2: I agree that he was necessarily not born evil. I
- 7:16Speaker 2: think you very much could have been. Because she's saying,
- 7:18Speaker 2: it's his environment, it's his growing.
- 7:20Speaker 3: Up, it's the upbringing a lot, it was nurtured, right, yeah,
- 7:24Speaker 3: it makes you evil.
- 7:25Speaker 2: I think it was more nature in this case.
- 7:29Speaker 3: Okay, So, but this is where you.
- 7:32Speaker 2: Guys get to make your own call. So listen up,
- 7:34Speaker 2: I want to know what you guys think. Let's dive
- 7:37Speaker 2: into Jamie O sooner shall we do? Okay? So? Jamie
- 7:40Speaker 2: Osuna was born March seventh, nineteen eighty eight, same age
- 7:46Speaker 2: as us. Oh.
- 7:48Speaker 3: I was like, well that's a good birth the year,
- 7:50Speaker 3: but uh, carry on here.
- 7:52Speaker 2: Yeah, he was only one month older than me.
- 7:55Speaker 3: Yeah, so just young. It's a young pop.
- 7:58Speaker 2: He was born in Baker's feat Kern County in California, USA,
- 8:03Speaker 2: which is approximately one hundred miles north of Los Angeles.
- 8:07Speaker 2: So a little bit of a geography location there for
- 8:09Speaker 2: you to picture. He was born into an underprivileged, mixed
- 8:13Speaker 2: ethnic Christian family. Now, on the surface level, we can
- 8:16Speaker 2: predict that Jamie could probably be born into a loving
- 8:19Speaker 2: family after all, like they're one of religious faith, which
- 8:22Speaker 2: you know, preaches love, forgiveness and that sort of stuff. Right. However,
- 8:26Speaker 2: these assumptions would be very wrong. Jamie's mother went by
- 8:31Speaker 2: the name of Michelle, and her presence in his life
- 8:35Speaker 2: was rather minimal. Jamie's father, however, was never there at all.
- 8:40Speaker 2: When and why he left is a little unclear, but
- 8:42Speaker 2: we do know he wasn't in Jamie's life from a
- 8:44Speaker 2: very early age. That's said it is. Jamie did, however,
- 8:49Speaker 2: have a stepfather, which is good, a man by the
- 8:52Speaker 2: name of Jeff, though Jamie probably would have been much
- 8:56Speaker 2: better off without a father figure at all.
- 8:58Speaker 3: In my bay, so we don't like Jeff. We do
- 9:00Speaker 3: not like Jeff as a douche cano.
- 9:02Speaker 2: Jeff is a major douche Canoe could call him that, Okay,
- 9:05Speaker 2: well done. So Jeff and no other male figures in
- 9:10Speaker 2: Jamie's life for that matter, did not treat Jamie with
- 9:13Speaker 2: any sort of kindness or love. He would often be
- 9:17Speaker 2: subject to harsh and brutal behaviors.
- 9:21Speaker 3: That sucks. You need you need at least like some
- 9:25Speaker 3: authority in your life that you can look up to
- 9:29Speaker 3: and learn from and adapt their habits in a sense,
- 9:31Speaker 3: and decide what you like and not like, and then
- 9:34Speaker 3: decide what you're going to carry on.
- 9:36Speaker 2: And yeah, Jamie did not have that. That's sad, which
- 9:40Speaker 2: kind of leans in the direction of why his ex
- 9:42Speaker 2: wife was saying nurture over nature right now. Among the
- 9:46Speaker 2: daily psychological and physical abuse that and the tortures that
- 9:51Speaker 2: Jamie allegedly suffered through, Jamie was left to fight his
- 9:55Speaker 2: demons completely alone. His mother, Michelle would not stick up
- 9:58Speaker 2: for her son. Now, this is because she was threatened
- 10:01Speaker 2: and was afraid for the subjects and tortures she would
- 10:04Speaker 2: go through from her from her new husband as well. Yeah,
- 10:08Speaker 2: so Jamie would endure hell such as being forced to
- 10:13Speaker 2: sit at the dinner table watch all his siblings get
- 10:16Speaker 2: to eat dinner while he did not, what the shit,
- 10:20Speaker 2: and when he finally was fed, he was forced to
- 10:22Speaker 2: eat off the floor like a dog.
- 10:24Speaker 3: Wow, Yes, that is next level.
- 10:27Speaker 2: Yes, soul is shit.
- 10:28Speaker 1: Now.
- 10:29Speaker 2: Another event later described by Jamie's mother tells a day
- 10:32Speaker 2: when Jeff kicked Jamie out of a moving vehicle while
- 10:35Speaker 2: strapped into his car seat. What yeah, Holy So, after
- 10:41Speaker 2: rushing back to find him on the road, Jamie's mother
- 10:45Speaker 2: found him still strapped into the seat, luckily luckily sitting
- 10:49Speaker 2: upright on the road.
- 10:50Speaker 3: Well, the car seat is probably what saved his life.
- 10:53Speaker 2: Most likely now he miraculously seemed fine, But whether or
- 10:57Speaker 2: not he was fine is hard to say because Jeff
- 11:00Speaker 2: wasn't about to take him to the hospital and get
- 11:02Speaker 2: checked out. He just kind of shrugged off. I'm like, yeah,
- 11:04Speaker 2: he's fine, and then they continued on with their day.
- 11:06Speaker 3: I mean, that's like super traumatizing too. But I guess
- 11:09Speaker 3: he could be at a young en off age that he
- 11:10Speaker 3: doesn't remember.
- 11:11Speaker 2: Yeah, and now this could be a significant impact in
- 11:14Speaker 2: his life. Though there's nothing significantly found with any psychological
- 11:19Speaker 2: issues with Jamie later on in life. This could be
- 11:22Speaker 2: something that maybe like a bump on the head or
- 11:25Speaker 2: some sort of trauma that triggered something. So there is
- 11:28Speaker 2: argument of that later on. So most of Jamie's torment, though,
- 11:33Speaker 2: would go on document undocumented. There we go, and can
- 11:37Speaker 2: only be validated by family members, you know, kind of
- 11:40Speaker 2: surrounding the incidents at the time. However, some police reports
- 11:44Speaker 2: would survive and would show that his stepfather, for example, Jeff,
- 11:48Speaker 2: once tied him to a tree and whipped him when
- 11:51Speaker 2: he was only five years old after spilling juice on
- 11:54Speaker 2: the floor.
- 11:55Speaker 3: Wow. Yeah, wow, yeah, okay, I don't even know what
- 12:01Speaker 3: to say to that. That's brutal.
- 12:03Speaker 2: Well, how about what do you have to say to this?
- 12:04Speaker 2: Another document report shows an instant where his uncle threw
- 12:07Speaker 2: a brick at him.
- 12:08Speaker 3: His uncle too, his uncle, Oh my gosh.
- 12:12Speaker 2: Okay, So Jamie was quite literally enduring torture and brutal
- 12:18Speaker 2: physical abuse he likes, and mental for that matter.
- 12:20Speaker 3: You just picture this little five year old like trying
- 12:22Speaker 3: to make sure that they just don't like they're learning
- 12:25Speaker 3: and everything and like their brain's a little sponge, but
- 12:27Speaker 3: like trying not to screw anything up at five. Yes,
- 12:31Speaker 3: that's devastating.
- 12:32Speaker 2: Jamie later on in his life would go on to
- 12:35Speaker 2: discuss his earlier years, and he would specifically himself say
- 12:39Speaker 2: he never learned the difference between right and wrong.
- 12:43Speaker 3: Huh not because everything he did was wrong basically right.
- 12:46Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, he never learned the difference, whether it was
- 12:50Speaker 2: from a fatherly type figure or a parental figure doing
- 12:54Speaker 2: wrong themselves. He didn't know if that was okay or
- 12:56Speaker 2: not to do. And if he was doing right, he
- 12:58Speaker 2: didn't get reprimanded. There was no boundaries of what is
- 13:01Speaker 2: right or wrong no matter which way he goes.
- 13:03Speaker 3: Yeah, he could do no right, really, and.
- 13:05Speaker 2: He could do no wrong also in that same sense.
- 13:08Speaker 3: Jeez, Okay, I don't like this.
- 13:12Speaker 2: It gets much worse.
- 13:13Speaker 3: But then I feel like I'm also not gonna like him.
- 13:15Speaker 3: But this is a terrible upbringing.
- 13:17Speaker 2: It's a terrible upbringing. But we're not going to like
- 13:20Speaker 2: Jamie in his later years. No, So this whole time,
- 13:23Speaker 2: his mother, Michelle would be subject to abusive relationships in
- 13:28Speaker 2: the past, would have been sorry, subject to abusive relationships
- 13:31Speaker 2: in the past. She would apparently hug her son only
- 13:35Speaker 2: when Jeff's back was turned, because he wouldn't let her
- 13:40Speaker 2: embrace her son. It would be you need to embrace
- 13:42Speaker 2: me before him. Wow he came before Jamie ever did.
- 13:46Speaker 3: Wow. Yeah, that just shows what kind of person he
- 13:49Speaker 3: is right there.
- 13:50Speaker 2: Yeah, And so she would only kind of do a
- 13:52Speaker 2: little bit behind his back, and other than that she
- 13:54Speaker 2: would just let the incidents occur. Otherwise, for fear of
- 13:59Speaker 2: recommended on Jamie and herself. Now, later in life, Jamie
- 14:04Speaker 2: would confide in his wife during a therapy session about
- 14:07Speaker 2: also being molested as a child. Now, though who committed
- 14:11Speaker 2: this is unclear or the facts around it again are unclear,
- 14:17Speaker 2: but Jamie grew up not learning the difference between right
- 14:20Speaker 2: and wrong. Like I said, this is an assumption straight
- 14:23Speaker 2: from Jamie. And around the age of nine, we would
- 14:25Speaker 2: get the first glimpse of the man that he would become,
- 14:28Speaker 2: as he would begin to kind of be that argumentative
- 14:33Speaker 2: product of his environment. He began killing and torturing animals.
- 14:37Speaker 3: Oh gosh. Hat.
- 14:39Speaker 2: In an interview, he recalls being home alone and putting
- 14:42Speaker 2: a cat in the.
- 14:43Speaker 3: Freezer okay from a live cat.
- 14:46Speaker 2: Live cat in the freezer for about fifteen minutes before
- 14:48Speaker 2: letting it out, then repeating the same thing but instead
- 14:52Speaker 2: with an oven. Okay. Now, to clarify, he never said
- 15:00Speaker 2: if the oven was on, Well.
- 15:02Speaker 3: I'm pretty damn sure it.
- 15:04Speaker 4: It was on.
- 15:04Speaker 2: I'm going to assume it was as well.
- 15:06Speaker 3: That's disgusting.
- 15:08Speaker 2: Yeah, not that it mattered to Jamie. But when he
- 15:11Speaker 2: was only about twelve years old, his stepfather would pass
- 15:14Speaker 2: away in August of two thousand due to a heart attack,
- 15:18Speaker 2: something that would have only taken stress off his shoulders.
- 15:20Speaker 3: I'm sure, but I have it too late. Really, he
- 15:22Speaker 3: already rect.
- 15:24Speaker 2: Him Yeah rectum.
- 15:29Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, brutal.
- 15:31Speaker 2: Sorry.
- 15:32Speaker 3: I wonder if anyone else caught onto that before you
- 15:35Speaker 3: said maybe.
- 15:37Speaker 2: Anyways, So that aside, Jamie was actually living with his
- 15:41Speaker 2: grandparents by this time, so it's not like it mattered
- 15:43Speaker 2: in any sense. It's not like he became free either.
- 15:46Speaker 2: He was already living with his grandparents. However, his grandpa
- 15:51Speaker 2: wasn't much of a father figure and reportedly hated Jamie
- 15:54Speaker 2: as well.
- 15:55Speaker 3: Wow, yeah, why why?
- 15:59Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 16:00Speaker 3: That's sad it is.
- 16:02Speaker 2: Now in Jamie's ten years, his behaviors only be only
- 16:05Speaker 2: worsened as he would join local gangs, begin using drugs,
- 16:09Speaker 2: and of course crossing paths with the law. Now, at
- 16:13Speaker 2: the age fifteen, he would be arrested for the first
- 16:15Speaker 2: time with the street name Lo Keto, which means the
- 16:19Speaker 2: little crazy one.
- 16:20Speaker 3: Low Keto.
- 16:21Speaker 2: Yeah. I really hope I pronounce it right. I'm not
- 16:23Speaker 2: a Spanish guy, yeah, but yeah, low keto.
- 16:27Speaker 3: Wow.
- 16:28Speaker 2: But his second arrest was a rather significant one that
- 16:32Speaker 2: would write many more of his years to come. In
- 16:35Speaker 2: two thousand and eight, when Jamie met a woman whose
- 16:38Speaker 2: name is being protected, so we will call her Jane
- 16:43Speaker 2: Jane yet now, Jane and Jamie met at a party,
- 16:47Speaker 2: and the party was Jane's son's sixteenth birthday party, and
- 16:51Speaker 2: Jamie was twenty years old. Jane was enjoying the evening
- 16:54Speaker 2: as well, and at one point she was dancing with
- 16:57Speaker 2: one of her son's friends. Now, this didn't sit well
- 17:00Speaker 2: with Jane's son, that she was dancing with one of
- 17:02Speaker 2: his friends or whatever, Okay, so he ended up running
- 17:05Speaker 2: over to Jamie and got Jamie to chase said friend off.
- 17:09Speaker 2: The only problem is Jamie grabbed a butcher knife from
- 17:13Speaker 2: the kitchen and chased after this guy.
- 17:17Speaker 3: And did he just chase or did he do some damage?
- 17:21Speaker 2: Well, he did a little bit of damage. We'll touch
- 17:24Speaker 2: on that in a second, Okay. The whole situation was
- 17:26Speaker 2: almost as if he was kind of like protecting Jane's honor.
- 17:29Speaker 2: It seemed like even though it was the first time
- 17:33Speaker 2: these two were meeting, and Jane was a bit older
- 17:36Speaker 2: than Jamie as she was thirty seven and he's twenty,
- 17:41Speaker 2: So I mean.
- 17:42Speaker 3: I was just editing a wedding though, and it's like
- 17:44Speaker 3: there was a ton of the wedding party dancing with
- 17:47Speaker 3: like the parents, Like that was fine.
- 17:49Speaker 2: It's it's nothing wrong with it having fun exactly. So
- 17:53Speaker 2: Jamie would go to jail for this incident as he
- 17:55Speaker 2: did stab the kid now the victim. Thankfully, it was
- 18:00Speaker 2: okay and mostly just shaken up. His wounds were fairly
- 18:02Speaker 2: shallow and by the sounds of it, sounds mostly superficial, thankfully.
- 18:07Speaker 2: But Jamie would be arrested for assault with the deadly weapon.
- 18:10Speaker 3: Well, and he also probably scared the shit of that person.
- 18:14Speaker 3: Oh fuck yeah, Like, holy heck. I couldn't even imagining
- 18:17Speaker 3: chase with someone with a butcher knight.
- 18:18Speaker 2: And this guy didn't know Jamie prior to either. It's
- 18:22Speaker 2: not like they were own or anything or had any history.
- 18:24Speaker 3: Yeah, but it was just like before. It'd be worse
- 18:26Speaker 3: if they knew him, I think.
- 18:28Speaker 2: Oh probably actually, I guess. So while Jamie was in prison,
- 18:33Speaker 2: he began to write to Jane and the two had
- 18:35Speaker 2: a bit of a pen pal type relationship. Okay, Jane
- 18:38Speaker 2: didn't exactly think much of Jamie, but by the sounds
- 18:40Speaker 2: of it, she was kind of liking the attention she
- 18:43Speaker 2: was getting from him. So about a year later, in
- 18:46Speaker 2: November of two thousand and nine, he was released from
- 18:48Speaker 2: prison and he quickly as he was released, called Jane
- 18:53Speaker 2: and he was like, hey, can you pick me up
- 18:55Speaker 2: from prison? I'm out? So what do you think she does? No,
- 18:59Speaker 2: she picked up Okay.
- 19:01Speaker 3: I thought she's gonna be like, actually no.
- 19:02Speaker 2: Nope, she picks him up. She's okay, sure, why not?
- 19:05Speaker 3: That surprises me.
- 19:06Speaker 2: Yeah. So she drives over to the prison and he's
- 19:09Speaker 2: standing there, fresh out of prison, with new tattoos across
- 19:12Speaker 2: his face. Oh wow, which began his transformation to look
- 19:16Speaker 2: like the Joker from Batman.
- 19:18Speaker 3: Oh okay.
- 19:20Speaker 2: So he is donning a sinister a sinister smile tattooed
- 19:24Speaker 2: from the corner of each mouth, and clown makeup above
- 19:28Speaker 2: his above and below his left.
- 19:30Speaker 3: Epe that's legitimately tattooed on his face.
- 19:32Speaker 2: Legitimately tattooed, amongst some other smaller tattoos. But he does
- 19:37Speaker 2: have these permanently on his face.
- 19:39Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm gonna have to see a picture of this.
- 19:42Speaker 2: On the drive, Jamie mentioned, hey, we should go get
- 19:45Speaker 2: a hotel room, which Jane knew exactly what he was meaning,
- 19:51Speaker 2: and she obliged.
- 19:53Speaker 3: Really, yeah, Okay, she's surprising me a little bit because
- 19:57Speaker 3: one I thought that after he got out it'd just
- 19:59Speaker 3: be like, oh, well, I didn't mean any of this,
- 20:01Speaker 3: and then too like after seeing what his new appearance,
- 20:06Speaker 3: I guess you could say, looks like I think you'd
- 20:08Speaker 3: like want to run for the hills.
- 20:09Speaker 2: Well, I mean, don't judge a book by the cover.
- 20:11Speaker 2: Saying that right.
- 20:12Speaker 3: Now, I know, but that's I don't know. Okay, I'm
- 20:16Speaker 3: gonna have.
- 20:16Speaker 2: To say it is a bit much.
- 20:17Speaker 3: Your description seems terrifying to me.
- 20:20Speaker 2: It is terrifying. I'm just saying you don't want to
- 20:21Speaker 2: judge a book by the cover. She knows him a
- 20:23Speaker 2: little bit more on a personal level.
- 20:24Speaker 3: Who knows, right, But he is also just getting out
- 20:26Speaker 3: of jail too, so we are know that he's not
- 20:28Speaker 3: like the best person in the whole world.
- 20:31Speaker 2: And he chased someone off with the butcher knife and
- 20:33Speaker 2: stabbed them exactly. So I'm the tattoos. Don't judge by
- 20:36Speaker 2: the tattoos, judge by the fact that he almost murdered.
- 20:38Speaker 3: Well, yeah, there's a lot to it there.
- 20:40Speaker 2: You go for the both of them, though, getting the
- 20:43Speaker 2: hotel room. It was just sex. Jane said that it
- 20:45Speaker 2: was one night stand. It was one and done. That's it,
- 20:49Speaker 2: and that's all probably would have been if she didn't
- 20:52Speaker 2: get pregnant.
- 20:53Speaker 3: Oh gosh, yes, So.
- 20:56Speaker 2: She quickly broke the news to Jamie. And Jamie, how
- 21:00Speaker 2: do you think he took it?
- 21:01Speaker 3: I'm going to say that he was ecstatic. He was ecstatic, Okay, Okay,
- 21:05Speaker 3: I got one on one right here.
- 21:06Speaker 2: Excited to be the father he never had. He wanted
- 21:09Speaker 2: to do right for his kid, and he wanted to
- 21:12Speaker 2: be there for him. He wanted to just he was
- 21:14Speaker 2: so excited. He was quote like a dad's zilla, like
- 21:17Speaker 2: a little Hinton wants to come here. In the next
- 21:20Speaker 2: few sentences, he was a groomzilla. So okay, yeah, Now
- 21:26Speaker 2: it wasn't the relationship Jane was exactly looking for. But
- 21:31Speaker 2: Jamie's love for her and her family and the new
- 21:34Speaker 2: kid on the way, and the kindness that he was
- 21:36Speaker 2: showing her and everyone is what made her fall in
- 21:39Speaker 2: love with what he was providing. She wasn't really in
- 21:42Speaker 2: love with him, but she was in love with the
- 21:43Speaker 2: way he was providing and caring.
- 21:46Speaker 3: Okay, So it almost sounds like he could potentially turned
- 21:50Speaker 3: over a new leaf here a little.
- 21:51Speaker 2: Yeah, one hundred short time. So the two did decide
- 21:55Speaker 2: to tie the knot. Like I said, he's a groomzilla
- 21:58Speaker 2: in a good way, in a good way, caring for
- 21:59Speaker 2: the wedding, making sure things are perfect, like that's oh good,
- 22:02Speaker 2: not like raining down terror like he's like, oh no,
- 22:05Speaker 2: we got to get the most beautiful cake like that sort.
- 22:07Speaker 3: Of well, like he's actually putting a lot of attention
- 22:09Speaker 3: and cares.
- 22:09Speaker 2: One hundred percent, which yes, So they decided to tie
- 22:13Speaker 2: the knot in February, and they had a small wedding
- 22:15Speaker 2: with an elaborate cake at Jamie's grandparents house prior to
- 22:18Speaker 2: the baby being born.
- 22:19Speaker 3: Nice.
- 22:20Speaker 2: Then in August of twenty ten, Jane and I've put
- 22:24Speaker 2: Jane and no sooner, but it's Jane and Jamie welcome
- 22:28Speaker 2: their child into the world. Jamie was instantly an amazing debt.
- 22:32Speaker 2: He had given up gang life, and he was caring
- 22:35Speaker 2: and loving. Okay, I'm impressed, so was I until things flipped. Okay,
- 22:42Speaker 2: this didn't last. The following month in September, Jamie was
- 22:47Speaker 2: becoming very controlling and becoming very abusive, both mentally and physically.
- 22:52Speaker 2: There's even at one point, I'm not too sure when
- 22:54Speaker 2: it was, but during an argument in a fight, Jamie
- 22:57Speaker 2: actually stole Jane's mother's ashes, which she never got back.
- 23:03Speaker 1: Wow.
- 23:04Speaker 3: Yes, okay, that's the worst. Yes, I mean actually, there's
- 23:08Speaker 3: probably gonna be worse shit in here. But that's terrible.
- 23:11Speaker 2: That is horrendous.
- 23:11Speaker 3: That's terrible.
- 23:13Speaker 2: So he, on more than one occasion, would end up
- 23:15Speaker 2: being arrested and sent back to jail and released for
- 23:18Speaker 2: various different reasons, their marital issues and abuse being several
- 23:23Speaker 2: of them. On occasion specifically was for assault, like I said,
- 23:28Speaker 2: with James's wife, but their relationship crumbled over all this
- 23:32Speaker 2: course of the time, and Jane would quickly file for
- 23:35Speaker 2: divorce and restraining order on him, and the friction between
- 23:38Speaker 2: the two of them would only intensify from there.
- 23:41Speaker 3: That's sad. It seemed like he was going to go
- 23:43Speaker 3: the right direction there. He wanted to do better.
- 23:45Speaker 2: He did. He wanted to be the figures in that
- 23:48Speaker 2: he didn't have in his life, but for whatever reason,
- 23:52Speaker 2: cards weren't playing right and he just went the other way.
- 23:55Speaker 2: Now was the evening of Halloween. Oohluckily enoughenty eleven when
- 24:01Speaker 2: Jamie was paroled for from prison, this time with his
- 24:05Speaker 2: face completely covered in tattoos. Now and his joker makeup
- 24:10Speaker 2: or joker tattoos would complete his look. Wow, yeah, clown,
- 24:15Speaker 2: I makeup, the big permanent smile all fixated on his face,
- 24:20Speaker 2: and this is where things would take a very very
- 24:24Speaker 2: dark turn.
- 24:25Speaker 3: Okay, we have to do a tiny pause. What's this
- 24:27Speaker 3: person's last name again?
- 24:28Speaker 2: Oh? Souna?
- 24:29Speaker 3: How the heck do you spell?
- 24:30Speaker 2: Oh? S una?
- 24:32Speaker 3: Okay, I'm just looking up a photo because I can't
- 24:34Speaker 3: listen anymore without knowing. Oh, okay, yeah, I have actually
- 24:38Speaker 3: seen this guy.
- 24:39Speaker 2: Yep, okay, yep, terrifying.
- 24:42Speaker 3: Hey, yeah, Like I mean, if I passed this person
- 24:45Speaker 3: on the street, I probably probably wouldn't well, I would
- 24:48Speaker 3: try not to judge, but i'd also be like, wow,
- 24:50Speaker 3: yeas a lot because those are prison tattoos too, right, he.
- 24:53Speaker 2: Got those in prison? Yeah. Now, by around this time,
- 24:56Speaker 2: I do want to let you know that he is
- 24:58Speaker 2: not a very big individual. I believe he's only about
- 25:01Speaker 2: like five six or something like that, one hundred and
- 25:03Speaker 2: fifty pounds, but he's still intimidating. He's still a scary dude.
- 25:10Speaker 2: So it was hardly a week after being released from
- 25:12Speaker 2: prison on Halloween that he began to harass his ex wife, Jane.
- 25:17Speaker 3: Poor Jane.
- 25:19Speaker 2: One night, he began driving up and down her street,
- 25:21Speaker 2: calling her on the phone, repeatedly threatening her with things
- 25:24Speaker 2: like he's going to blow her head off.
- 25:26Speaker 3: Oh shit, that's terrifying.
- 25:28Speaker 2: Terrified, and rightfully so. Jane called police several times over
- 25:33Speaker 2: in panic, hoping to receive some help.
- 25:37Speaker 3: Well, she also has kiddos in there, she does.
- 25:40Speaker 2: However, the help did not come immediately. Why well, Jane
- 25:45Speaker 2: had essentially been triaged with several other emergency calls, and
- 25:50Speaker 2: many people were waiting for the police to arrive already
- 25:53Speaker 2: that night, the resources were spread thin and Jane was
- 25:57Speaker 2: forced to wait. Unfortunately, Dane, so by the time the
- 26:01Speaker 2: police had arrived, Thankfully, Jane and her family was okay.
- 26:04Speaker 3: Okay, good.
- 26:05Speaker 2: But Jamie was gone. But before he had left, he
- 26:10Speaker 2: had made one final phone call to Jane where he said, quote,
- 26:14Speaker 2: this is sorry. This is Jane quoting what Jamie said
- 26:18Speaker 2: on the phone, and this is directly from the nine
- 26:21Speaker 2: one one call that night. She says, quote watch the news, bitch,
- 26:27Speaker 2: I killed the woman at the El Morocco Hotel.
- 26:31Speaker 3: Wow, Wow. Yeah, so he's just admitting to a murder
- 26:36Speaker 3: and also terrifying her to the next degree.
- 26:39Speaker 2: Yep. So Jane of course called the police. Yeah, and
- 26:44Speaker 2: she's like, I'm curious, like has there been anything committed
- 26:46Speaker 2: or reported at the Morocco Hotel And nothing had been reported?
- 26:51Speaker 3: Okay, so he was just threatening her.
- 26:54Speaker 2: Yeah, it was probably just an empty threat, or at
- 26:57Speaker 2: least they thought until five days later, a hotel room
- 27:02Speaker 2: staff at the Morocco Hotel called the police and reported
- 27:05Speaker 2: a murder.
- 27:06Speaker 3: Shit.
- 27:07Speaker 2: One of the clean up individuals opened a room to
- 27:09Speaker 2: find a bloody scene.
- 27:11Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, in that room would have just been smelly. Yeah,
- 27:15Speaker 3: really smelly.
- 27:16Speaker 2: So the woman who was found at the Morocco Hotel
- 27:19Speaker 2: was thirty seven year old Yavette Pagna. She was brutally
- 27:23Speaker 2: slain and tortured, with graphic details remaining unreleased, but coroner
- 27:27Speaker 2: officials ruled Paya's death of blunt force injuries, sharp force injuries,
- 27:32Speaker 2: and exphyxiation.
- 27:35Speaker 4: Wow.
- 27:36Speaker 3: So she just went through hell.
- 27:39Speaker 2: Yes.
- 27:39Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 27:41Speaker 2: Now the police knew where they were going to look
- 27:43Speaker 2: for their murderer. Of course, because they had this phone
- 27:46Speaker 2: call five days prior to they obviously know Jamie is
- 27:51Speaker 2: on the radar, he's this immediate suspect.
- 27:53Speaker 3: Yeah, you're guilty.
- 27:54Speaker 2: So police went undercover in search and even had a
- 27:57Speaker 2: lookalike officer driving Jane's car around to try and lure
- 28:02Speaker 2: Jamie out of hiding.
- 28:03Speaker 3: Oh wow.
- 28:04Speaker 2: And it only took another five days where an anonymous
- 28:08Speaker 2: tip told him that Jamie was hiding at his great
- 28:11Speaker 2: grandparents' house. So they went over there, Jamie was found
- 28:16Speaker 2: and he was subsequently arrested.
- 28:18Speaker 3: Okay, and then he should be put in jail forever.
- 28:21Speaker 2: He was definitely arrested, definitely put in jail, but he
- 28:24Speaker 2: denied having anything to do with Yvette's death. Of course,
- 28:28Speaker 2: during questioning, all he did was deny and obsess over
- 28:33Speaker 2: the relationship with his wife. Now, any allegations that came
- 28:38Speaker 2: from his wife, he said were simply just lies or
- 28:41Speaker 2: taken out of context. He said things to scare her.
- 28:45Speaker 2: But he denied having anything to do with the murder.
- 28:48Speaker 3: Which doesn't make any sense though, because he knew about
- 28:50Speaker 3: the murder before anybody else knew about the murder. But
- 28:53Speaker 3: did he Well, he said some or what you think,
- 28:56Speaker 3: that's just the world's biggest coincidence. So that happened.
- 29:00Speaker 2: That's his argument.
- 29:00Speaker 3: I mean, if it is, that's crazy. But I don't
- 29:03Speaker 3: know if I believe that they would be able to
- 29:05Speaker 3: also be able to tell her time of death is
- 29:07Speaker 3: ishue you'd.
- 29:08Speaker 2: Think they would.
- 29:10Speaker 3: So.
- 29:11Speaker 2: While locked up in a waiting trial, Jamie would be
- 29:13Speaker 2: interviewed by a reporter where he stood by his claims
- 29:16Speaker 2: of innocence, and in early twenty seventeen, his trial was
- 29:20Speaker 2: set to begin. Just before he also accepted another interview
- 29:26Speaker 2: from another reporter. Now that second reporter goes by the
- 29:30Speaker 2: name of Olivia Lavoice. She sat down with Jamie expecting
- 29:33Speaker 2: to hear the same old denial, and she hoped that
- 29:36Speaker 2: some of the evidence she knew that was about to
- 29:38Speaker 2: come out in the upcoming trial would give her a
- 29:40Speaker 2: little bit of leverage in the interview to get him
- 29:43Speaker 2: to talk or maybe get him to squirm and might
- 29:45Speaker 2: get some juicy details right now. What she wasn't ready
- 29:49Speaker 2: for was for Jamie to coldly admit to it all
- 29:54Speaker 2: and spill every single detail about the entire crime on
- 29:59Speaker 2: how he killed ve Pina.
- 30:01Speaker 3: Wow, I wonder why he decided to do that, And
- 30:04Speaker 3: can you imagine how would you even react to that?
- 30:07Speaker 3: Because you want to get all the details, but then
- 30:09Speaker 3: you're also like, shit, I gotta leave. This is terrifying.
- 30:12Speaker 2: Well, she interviewed him for quite some time and got
- 30:14Speaker 2: a lot of detailed out of there.
- 30:16Speaker 3: Okay, so she just sat there and took it all
- 30:18Speaker 3: in eh.
- 30:18Speaker 2: Yep. Now, a lot of the details have not been
- 30:21Speaker 2: released due to the graphic nature, but he did to
- 30:24Speaker 2: talk to Olivia about a lot of this stuff. And
- 30:27Speaker 2: now right here, I do want to take a moment,
- 30:28Speaker 2: and I do want to thank Olivia a Voice for
- 30:31Speaker 2: her information and research. In this case, most of, if
- 30:34Speaker 2: not all, of this information has been brought to light
- 30:37Speaker 2: thanks to her work. So shout out to her. Ninety
- 30:42Speaker 2: nine percent of the research for this podcast was taken
- 30:45Speaker 2: directly from her stuff.
- 30:46Speaker 3: Wow. So I wonder what on earth got him to
- 30:48Speaker 3: admit to her. It was just like random or is
- 30:51Speaker 3: there anything that you have to say about that, like
- 30:53Speaker 3: in here?
- 30:55Speaker 2: No? Not really. He just so, yeah, I did it
- 30:58Speaker 2: And it was as simple as that.
- 31:00Speaker 3: Okay.
- 31:01Speaker 2: Now, he admitted to killing her, and his reason was
- 31:04Speaker 2: he's seen an opportunity and he took it. That was it.
- 31:09Speaker 1: Shit, that was it.
- 31:10Speaker 3: That's a shit reason.
- 31:12Speaker 2: Now, his defense in court didn't want him to plead guilty,
- 31:15Speaker 2: but that's exactly what Jamie wanted to do. He's like, yeah,
- 31:18Speaker 2: I just want to plead guilty. He was like, but
- 31:20Speaker 2: my defense basically won't let me. That's what he told
- 31:22Speaker 2: Olivia in this interview days before his trial.
- 31:25Speaker 3: Okay, he probably didn't want a trial. I just wanted
- 31:28Speaker 3: to move on. Like, that's exactly why I was served
- 31:30Speaker 3: my time.
- 31:30Speaker 1: Like I did this well, Jamie.
- 31:31Speaker 2: Claimed there was no point in dragging it on. He's like,
- 31:34Speaker 2: let them have their fucking closure or whatever they need,
- 31:36Speaker 2: not that he cared for them to have closure. He's like,
- 31:38Speaker 2: I did it. I was like, what's this fucking trial for. Basically,
- 31:41Speaker 2: it was his attitude he did it. The whole court
- 31:44Speaker 2: thing was in his mind useless. So during the first
- 31:49Speaker 2: day on trial, Jamie was seen mocking Vett's family while
- 31:53Speaker 2: they were on the stand. Wow, he simply was on
- 31:55Speaker 2: there in handcuffs, yawning, using hand gefesters to show that
- 32:00Speaker 2: they were talking a lot, like you know when someone
- 32:03Speaker 2: like blah.
- 32:03Speaker 3: Blah blah, what a freaking asshole.
- 32:05Speaker 2: Yeah, showing he did not give a fuck.
- 32:09Speaker 3: That is beyond disrespectful.
- 32:11Speaker 2: Oh yeah, there's a photo of him full on yawning
- 32:16Speaker 2: in the courtroom when he's just like, not a singer
- 32:19Speaker 2: in the world.
- 32:19Speaker 3: Understand the yawn. I'm not going to super fault him
- 32:22Speaker 3: with the yawn ie on and almost everything.
- 32:24Speaker 2: This yawn came when Yvette's family was giving a speech
- 32:27Speaker 2: in the courtroom.
- 32:29Speaker 3: Yeah, well he was probably like not paying attention, but
- 32:31Speaker 3: the whole like hand gestures and stuff.
- 32:33Speaker 2: That's freaking yeah, definitely. Well, the same day, Olivia mentioned
- 32:38Speaker 2: to the family that Jamie confessed to her on tape.
- 32:42Speaker 2: She has a confession that he did this because in
- 32:45Speaker 2: the court his defense is saying he's not guilty.
- 32:47Speaker 3: Huh, that lawyer should probably just give up.
- 32:51Speaker 2: Well can you imagine trying to defend someone like that
- 32:53Speaker 2: in court? Honestly.
- 32:55Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 32:56Speaker 2: Anyways, this information gave more than enough evidence in trial,
- 33:00Speaker 2: which because of this, a plea deal was agreed upon.
- 33:04Speaker 2: Jamie would plead guilty and he would be able to
- 33:08Speaker 2: avoid the death penalty. So that's exactly what happened. On
- 33:13Speaker 2: May fourteenth, twenty seventeen, Jamie was sentenced to life without parole.
- 33:18Speaker 2: And this occurred, or sorry as this occurred, Jamie sat
- 33:20Speaker 2: in handcuffs giving a thumbs up to the prosecutor.
- 33:25Speaker 3: What, Yeah, okay, that's interesting. Generally you're just supposed to
- 33:30Speaker 3: kind of keep to yourself and like not make the
- 33:33Speaker 3: jury think that you're.
- 33:34Speaker 2: A complete tool. Yeah, douche canoe.
- 33:38Speaker 3: Yeah, I had a lot of words coming through my brain,
- 33:40Speaker 3: but I'm like, should I say these?
- 33:42Speaker 2: Yeah? This, however, was not the end for Jamie. In fact,
- 33:47Speaker 2: his most gruesome act was yet to come. As Jamie said,
- 33:52Speaker 2: in prison, he was considered extremely dangerous, he was not
- 33:56Speaker 2: able to have a cell mat, and he sat alone. However,
- 34:00Speaker 2: for one reason or another, he was given a cell
- 34:03Speaker 2: mate in March of twenty nineteen. Shit Prison guards were, however,
- 34:09Speaker 2: scheduled to check up on cells approximately every fifteen to
- 34:12Speaker 2: thirty minutes. There's no it hasn't been clarification on when
- 34:16Speaker 2: the schedule was, but it's somewhere in that window when.
- 34:17Speaker 3: You're supposed to be A lot can happen in that time.
- 34:20Speaker 3: Spam it can.
- 34:21Speaker 2: And even still if a window or a cell is
- 34:23Speaker 2: covered up by a bedsheet or something, that's a violation.
- 34:25Speaker 2: They got to like open the cell up or whatever.
- 34:27Speaker 2: They have to be able to see. End. Clearly, this
- 34:32Speaker 2: schedule didn't make a difference. Though, seven thirty am on
- 34:37Speaker 2: March ninth, twenty nineteen, Jamie's cellmate Louise Romero, would be
- 34:42Speaker 2: found dead inside the cell with Jamie. It was only
- 34:46Speaker 2: about twenty four hours after Louis had arrived at prison Dang. Now,
- 34:51Speaker 2: Luis was forty four and had already spent more than
- 34:54Speaker 2: two decades in prison for a fatal shooting of a
- 34:56Speaker 2: woman in la But he had just arrived with this
- 34:59Speaker 2: prison and had just been put into the cell with Jamie.
- 35:02Speaker 3: Why was he put in the same cell as Jamie?
- 35:05Speaker 1: Then?
- 35:06Speaker 3: Was not in a mistake of We'll talk about that
- 35:09Speaker 3: a little later, Okay.
- 35:11Speaker 2: Now, however, he was completely massacred beyond belief. Guards found
- 35:18Speaker 2: Jamie had cut out Louise's eyes, chopped off one of
- 35:23Speaker 2: his fingers.
- 35:24Speaker 3: Whoa.
- 35:25Speaker 2: He had also removed one of Luis's ribs, carved out
- 35:29Speaker 2: his lungs, and then decapitated him and cut slits in
- 35:33Speaker 2: his cheeks from the corner of his mouth extending up
- 35:36Speaker 2: to his ears. Oh my god, which would be kind
- 35:39Speaker 2: of a reminiscent of the joker smile.
- 35:41Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 35:41Speaker 2: Which is an injury or infliction of a wound, which
- 35:45Speaker 2: is famously nicknamed Glasgow Smile.
- 35:47Speaker 3: And he did all this in fifteen minutes. And what
- 35:49Speaker 3: the hell did he have to do this? Well, well,
- 35:52Speaker 3: I mean, gosh, they have lots, They end up having
- 35:54Speaker 3: a lot of things in person.
- 35:56Speaker 2: He managed to do all this with a single razor blade. Really,
- 36:02Speaker 2: which impossible to do this in fifteen minutes. This would
- 36:06Speaker 2: have been over the course of hours.
- 36:09Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, you're.
- 36:10Speaker 2: Kidding hours upon hours.
- 36:13Speaker 3: So the guards were not checking right clearly. Then oh
- 36:16Speaker 3: my gosh.
- 36:18Speaker 2: Now the cell was covered Wow, top to bottom in
- 36:22Speaker 2: blood splatters and bloody writing on the walls that read this,
- 36:28Speaker 2: I am the man with a thousand faces. Gosh, I
- 36:33Speaker 2: am not mad, I am just differently sane.
- 36:37Speaker 3: Huh.
- 36:38Speaker 2: You will never be lonely, you will never be sad.
- 36:42Speaker 2: You will always have me to dance with. Now that
- 36:46Speaker 2: you will always have me to dance with is apparently
- 36:48Speaker 2: a reference to an old Batman comic. That is something
- 36:51Speaker 2: that the Joker says to Batman. I couldn't find which
- 36:53Speaker 2: Batman comic it was from, but apparently that is a
- 36:56Speaker 2: reference from that. And then ha ha written in blood
- 37:02Speaker 2: all over the wall.
- 37:04Speaker 1: Wow.
- 37:04Speaker 2: All these writings apparently in very surprising penmanship.
- 37:09Speaker 3: And so this I guess prior to they had never
- 37:12Speaker 3: decided if he was sane. I mean, I'm assuming after
- 37:17Speaker 3: this they're going to check on that now. He actually
- 37:23Speaker 3: was completely saying.
- 37:25Speaker 2: There's a lot of things we can discuss that are
- 37:27Speaker 2: note worthy about Jamie, but some of the more notable
- 37:29Speaker 2: ones are that he was deemed legally sane to stand trial,
- 37:34Speaker 2: though at one point he was diagnosed with schizophrenia.
- 37:37Speaker 3: Okay, because that's nuts, Like, I'm sorry, but like to
- 37:41Speaker 3: literally think, okay, you finally get someone in your jail cell.
- 37:45Speaker 3: I don't know how long you'd been alone or whatever,
- 37:47Speaker 3: and then you're in your brain like right away you're
- 37:49Speaker 3: like I'm going to just kill this person, and not
- 37:51Speaker 3: just kill them, but like completely demolish them.
- 37:54Speaker 2: Yeah. Now, the final fact about what they found when
- 37:57Speaker 2: they went into the cell is Jamie also had an
- 38:00Speaker 2: necklace made of body parts around.
- 38:02Speaker 3: His neck of this guy.
- 38:03Speaker 1: Yes.
- 38:05Speaker 3: Wow, I mean, I'm sorry, but to think of all
- 38:07Speaker 3: that stuff, like I can't maybe killing like you're a
- 38:11Speaker 3: bad person, but to have a necklace of this person's
- 38:14Speaker 3: organs and you're you're fine, like you're just good to.
- 38:17Speaker 2: Go, Well, he was.
- 38:18Speaker 3: He was legally saying that's nuts to me.
- 38:22Speaker 2: Now, I'm gonna push this a little farther though, Jamie,
- 38:25Speaker 2: if you listen to him speak, he is very well articulated.
- 38:29Speaker 3: Uh.
- 38:29Speaker 2: He seems extremely intelligent. Apparently he would read incredible amounts
- 38:34Speaker 2: of books when he was younger, and he also began
- 38:36Speaker 2: to study psychology.
- 38:39Speaker 3: Huh.
- 38:40Speaker 2: So when Jamie talks about killing, when he talks about
- 38:44Speaker 2: why he kills, how he kills, the feeling of killing.
- 38:49Speaker 2: He uses this as a bit of an example. When
- 38:51Speaker 2: someone tells a joke that is funny and he knows
- 38:54Speaker 2: it's funny, he can't laugh. He doesn't feel anything. He
- 38:58Speaker 2: knows it's supposed to be funny, but he does he can't.
- 39:01Speaker 3: Laugh, doesn't have that emotion.
- 39:05Speaker 2: He doesn't have emotion. He said, drugs began to lose
- 39:09Speaker 2: their luster and killing is really the only way he
- 39:11Speaker 2: can feel anything. He goes on to describe some people
- 39:16Speaker 2: kill with a gun, and he said, Okay, the gun
- 39:19Speaker 2: is doing most of the work. And not that I
- 39:21Speaker 2: agree with what he's talking about, but it makes sense. Okay,
- 39:25Speaker 2: this is why I think he's so scary, because what
- 39:27Speaker 2: he's talking about makes sense. Not that I agree, but
- 39:31Speaker 2: what he's saying, there's logic to.
- 39:33Speaker 3: It, Okay, and you're a very logical person.
- 39:36Speaker 2: So when you shoot someone with a gun, the gun
- 39:39Speaker 2: is primarily doing the killing. Yeah, you're pulling the trigger,
- 39:42Speaker 2: you're causing it, but the gun is causing the damage.
- 39:45Speaker 2: And so Jamie saying, after like two years, he would
- 39:49Speaker 2: forget that feeling. It's gone. However, the reason why he
- 39:54Speaker 2: tortures is for things like the texture, the smell, the
- 39:57Speaker 2: feel wow, the moment, the rot afterwards, the days afterwards,
- 40:02Speaker 2: taking it in those mental pictures so he has something
- 40:07Speaker 2: to revel in later on, and so he can feel
- 40:11Speaker 2: for longer.
- 40:13Speaker 3: Thank you for those mental pictures.
- 40:14Speaker 2: Isn't that so fucked up?
- 40:16Speaker 3: That's so disgusting.
- 40:18Speaker 2: He is like one hundred percent a madman. Yeah, makes sense,
- 40:22Speaker 2: but it is so fucked up.
- 40:25Speaker 3: Yeah, honestly, that's I just can't even believe that that
- 40:30Speaker 3: poor man in the cell, Like, okay, no one would
- 40:33Speaker 3: be able to hear him or anything. I'm still I'm
- 40:35Speaker 3: still not over how that even happened.
- 40:37Speaker 2: Well, that's that's part of it. Though. There is another
- 40:40Speaker 2: inmate at the time who talked to a reporter and
- 40:44Speaker 2: they said that it was apparently like an inside job. Now,
- 40:48Speaker 2: there's a few different theories or stuff that was bouncing around,
- 40:52Speaker 2: but apparently he was given this cellmate on purpose. One
- 41:01Speaker 2: of the thought processes is Luis Ramiro was a bigger
- 41:04Speaker 2: guy than Jamie. I think that people were expecting Jamie
- 41:08Speaker 2: to get killed, or the guards were expecting Jamie to
- 41:11Speaker 2: get killed.
- 41:13Speaker 3: Okay, so they couldn't even have thought that. I mean,
- 41:18Speaker 3: he couldn't even have been doing this in self defense.
- 41:20Speaker 3: Then at some.
- 41:20Speaker 2: Point potentially potentially, hey, potentially.
- 41:23Speaker 3: I mean he went a lot further than self defense.
- 41:26Speaker 2: But yes, So there's never been anything to come forward
- 41:30Speaker 2: about why the guards hadn't checked up on him, uh huh,
- 41:33Speaker 2: anything like that where he got the razor flumb from
- 41:37Speaker 2: why this guy was in there. But there's theories of
- 41:39Speaker 2: it was done on purpose. Whether it was to get
- 41:42Speaker 2: Jamie killed or the other guy killed is up in
- 41:45Speaker 2: the air. But those are the theories that it was
- 41:48Speaker 2: done on purpose and a blind eye was turned on purpose. Now,
- 41:54Speaker 2: also noteworthy, Jamie actually had some pull in prison with
- 41:58Speaker 2: some different things. He was harassing his exife in different ways.
- 42:00Speaker 2: Letters were found where he was actually giving someone a
- 42:03Speaker 2: letter with her address to go burn down her house,
- 42:06Speaker 2: but that letter was intercepted. He had mailed her a
- 42:09Speaker 2: dead rat at some point.
- 42:10Speaker 3: Wow.
- 42:11Speaker 2: So he had some poll inside those walls. So another
- 42:14Speaker 2: theory is he got the guards paid off to bring
- 42:17Speaker 2: him someone so he could kill someone, so.
- 42:19Speaker 3: He could enjoy killing. I guess yes, yeah.
- 42:22Speaker 2: Because he did promise Olivia in the interview that he
- 42:25Speaker 2: would kill again. Really yes, He's like, I will do
- 42:28Speaker 2: this again.
- 42:30Speaker 3: Wow.
- 42:32Speaker 2: So also while he was talking and confessing with Olivia interview,
- 42:36Speaker 2: Jamie also confessed to killing two more individuals, his first
- 42:40Speaker 2: being his first kill when he was thirteen years old,
- 42:43Speaker 2: and he had a mentor showing him along the road.
- 42:46Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, because I was going to actually ask
- 42:49Speaker 3: you because so far we've only talked a book two right.
- 42:51Speaker 2: Yes, and apparently there's two more Okay. However, he never
- 42:55Speaker 2: gave any details regarding these cases. He did give some
- 42:57Speaker 2: minor details, one being a man, one being a woman.
- 43:00Speaker 2: He gave ages, and then something about there being an orchard.
- 43:04Speaker 2: So there are some theories on some other missing person's cases,
- 43:07Speaker 2: but nothing definitive. He also said that he had left
- 43:11Speaker 2: behind evidence on the crime scene with Yuvett on purpose.
- 43:15Speaker 2: He wanted to get caught. He said, if I want
- 43:17Speaker 2: to get caught, I wouldn't have left my fingerprints. I
- 43:19Speaker 2: would have cleaned up with bleach. I would have done this.
- 43:21Speaker 2: I would have done this, but I left it behind.
- 43:23Speaker 3: I didn't care, like you said, doesn't give a shit.
- 43:25Speaker 2: Not a single fuck.
- 43:26Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 43:27Speaker 3: This, honestly, this case makes me feel sick to my stuff.
- 43:30Speaker 3: Oh yeah, well it really does.
- 43:33Speaker 2: He's one of the worst individuals we have covered.
- 43:35Speaker 3: Like I feel nauseous.
- 43:37Speaker 2: Whether he was born evil or he was a byproduct
- 43:40Speaker 2: of his childhood environment, it's one hundred percent unknown. But
- 43:43Speaker 2: we do know is Jamie knew exactly what he was
- 43:46Speaker 2: doing and if given the chance, he would do it.
- 43:50Speaker 3: Do it again. Yeah.
- 43:53Speaker 2: Wow, that is the case of the man with a
- 43:57Speaker 2: thousand faces, Jamie Yos.
- 43:59Speaker 3: And he's still alive. I'm assuming he's still alive. Awesome,
- 44:03Speaker 3: that's great.
- 44:04Speaker 2: But he will be serving life in prison with no
- 44:06Speaker 2: parole thankfully.
- 44:07Speaker 3: Oh I can imagine. But it's just like, hopefully he
- 44:11Speaker 3: never is able to get his hands on anyone else.
- 44:15Speaker 3: But I mean, sometimes if there's a will, there's a way.
- 44:17Speaker 2: And like I said, he seems to have had poll
- 44:20Speaker 2: in prison in different ways before so who knows he
- 44:24Speaker 2: might be able to do it again.
- 44:25Speaker 3: Well yeah, five ten years, people will drop their guard, right, yeah,
- 44:29Speaker 3: and then he will probably just be ready to strike.
- 44:32Speaker 2: Yep. Like I say, the worst part about this is
- 44:37Speaker 2: he seems totally sane. He seems totally smart. He seems
- 44:40Speaker 2: very intellectual. He studied psychology, He knows what he's talking about.
- 44:45Speaker 2: When he speaks, he speaks with intent, and he speaks
- 44:48Speaker 2: with truth, and he speaks without remorse.
- 44:51Speaker 3: He's probably still in their educating himself, I would imagine too,
- 44:55Speaker 3: with his free time and stuff.
- 44:56Speaker 2: Well probably, yeah, he's very much so. He reminds me
- 45:00Speaker 2: a lot of like Hannibal Lecter, not the Hannibal, not
- 45:04Speaker 2: that he's a cannibal by any means, but Hannibal Lecter
- 45:07Speaker 2: very educated, very smart, very calculated. Jamie is the same
- 45:11Speaker 2: way that. In that manner. It's fucking scary.
- 45:14Speaker 3: A lot I feel are also just the fact that
- 45:17Speaker 3: he could endure the pain of those tattoos on his face.
- 45:21Speaker 2: I bet you'd be pain.
- 45:22Speaker 3: That would be incredibly painful.
- 45:25Speaker 2: There's also actually I should mention this too, there's reports
- 45:28Speaker 2: though I couldn't see any scarring on his face of
- 45:30Speaker 2: myself or find actual evidence of it. But there's reports
- 45:33Speaker 2: of him actually cutting his face so that his smile
- 45:37Speaker 2: was scarred, just like the Joker from the Dark.
- 45:40Speaker 3: Knight The Joker. This has inspired other bad things. Yes,
- 45:46Speaker 3: it is, which I don't love. I don't love that
- 45:49Speaker 3: at all. Yeah, huh so, wow, what a way to
- 45:54Speaker 3: kick off Halloween there.
- 45:55Speaker 2: Right, Hopefully you guys enjoyed that case. I mean, you
- 46:00Speaker 2: can't enjoy Jamio sooner, but I hope now, hopefully you
- 46:03Speaker 2: got something out of this. He's bothered me for a
- 46:07Speaker 2: few weeks now researching him.
- 46:09Speaker 3: Yeah, honestly, there is a couple tidbits in there that
- 46:12Speaker 3: were familiar to me, but I didn't recognize his name
- 46:16Speaker 3: or anything. And it's interesting. It's pretty new, really, all
- 46:18Speaker 3: this is quite new, yep. But that's also something you
- 46:22Speaker 3: just hear about and block the fuck out after, because
- 46:26Speaker 3: that's brutal.
- 46:27Speaker 2: I don't know if I'll ever be able to block
- 46:28Speaker 2: out this case personally. I wish I could.
- 46:32Speaker 3: Well, sometimes it's harder to do when you have researched it. Yeah,
- 46:36Speaker 3: I'm not gonna lie. It is way harder, that's true,
- 46:38Speaker 3: way harder.
- 46:39Speaker 2: Well, maybe to get your minds off it you can
- 46:41Speaker 2: go check out our new merch which is linked down below.

- 47:11Speaker 2: So this is only day one of Halloween Week, which
- 47:14Speaker 2: means there's six more to come boom, So another case
- 47:17Speaker 2: tomorrow and some more stuff to come.
- 47:19Speaker 3: Tomorrow as well, So time to come.
- 47:21Speaker 2: Day tuned for it, but of course, until then, stay
- 47:25Speaker 2: wicked
