- 0:07Speaker 1: If I could just pick a backsplash tile, we'd get
- 0:11Speaker 1: started already.
- 0:12Speaker 2: But I can't.
- 0:15Speaker 1: I'm having a a proalysss analysis. I'm thinking just going
- 0:22Speaker 1: with Suede Tony Katz ninety three WIBC, Good morning, Good
- 0:27Speaker 1: to be with you, seriously. Bower Remodeling, Kitchens, bathrooms, basements,
- 0:31Speaker 1: Bower Remodeling dot Com. The popcorn moment, let's go, let's go,
- 0:34Speaker 1: let's go, let's go, let's go. The story you need
- 0:37Speaker 1: to hear to believe. Then grab your popcorn because there
- 0:41Speaker 1: is more. We can talk about Ice, or we can
- 0:43Speaker 1: talk about Iran.
- 0:45Speaker 2: I will have more in Iran.
- 0:47Speaker 1: I want to share this with you from the pseudo
- 0:49Speaker 1: intellectual network of MS now and the pseudo intellectuals who
- 0:54Speaker 1: run that show. This used to be an important show.
- 0:58Speaker 1: Those days are very much over. This is Willie Geist
- 1:05Speaker 1: asking questions of John Heilman, as if John Heilman is
- 1:10Speaker 1: going to answer the question, well, but you take a
- 1:14Speaker 1: look at Ice, immigration and customs enforcement, you take a
- 1:17Speaker 1: look at two shootings that have happened recently, and now
- 1:22Speaker 1: they're not going to be detaining anybody in their car.
- 1:26Speaker 2: I think this is a mistake. I accept that the
- 1:29Speaker 2: shootings happened.
- 1:30Speaker 1: No, I didn't say it's great news, because I don't
- 1:34Speaker 1: think it is. I think what we have now taught is, well,
- 1:38Speaker 1: if you just get in your car and drive, you
- 1:41Speaker 1: can create a situation by which ICE looks bad.
- 1:44Speaker 2: And I do argue, and it is an ugly thing.
- 1:47Speaker 1: To say that there are people on the left who
- 1:50Speaker 1: don't care that these people have died.
- 1:52Speaker 2: They care good, this helps our cause.
- 1:55Speaker 1: And if you say to me that's cynical and that
- 1:57Speaker 1: is ugly, I will say to you, look at the
- 2:00Speaker 1: people opposed to ICE doing their job, though you know,
- 2:04Speaker 1: the job that they are told to do because those
- 2:06Speaker 1: are the laws on the books.
- 2:09Speaker 2: Look at the.
- 2:09Speaker 1: People who are desperate to keep a legal immigrants here.
- 2:11Speaker 1: Look at Tim Walls, the governor of Minnesota, and Keith Elson,
- 2:15Speaker 1: the Attorney General, who said, hey, here is a rapist
- 2:18Speaker 1: of a ten year old, a repeated rapist of a
- 2:21Speaker 1: ten year old. Let's make sure we do everything possible
- 2:24Speaker 1: so they're not deported.
- 2:29Speaker 2: I'm not cynical. I've watched I think.
- 2:32Speaker 1: These people are capable of anything and have no bottom.
- 2:37Speaker 1: It's like soup, salad and breadsticks at olive Garden. It
- 2:40Speaker 1: just keeps on coming. This is John Heileman talking about ice.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Now it's a bit of a long winded answer, but
- 2:53Speaker 1: I want you to hear the where the philosophy is
- 2:58Speaker 1: from the left and what some people might call a
- 3:01Speaker 1: quote unquote conventional wisdom, and why I want to give
- 3:05Speaker 1: you another way to look at it.
- 3:08Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, Willie, there's well, you say, a lot to
- 3:11Speaker 3: impact there. I think you know the pattern of Republicans
- 3:16Speaker 3: enabling President Trump being silent advocating their responsibilities, their institutional
- 3:20Speaker 3: responsibilities in the Senate, their responsibilities to their voters, and
- 3:25Speaker 3: in the case of individual governors. This is nothing new.
- 3:28Speaker 3: What I think is is most important politically, and I
- 3:32Speaker 3: just want to try to narrow this because there's so
- 3:34Speaker 3: many objections that we really we file to, that we
- 3:38Speaker 3: raise to all of these things.
- 3:39Speaker 4: There are moral objections, there's.
- 3:42Speaker 3: Extra projections on policy, but just the political objective, the political.
- 3:46Speaker 4: Issue the thing to focused on here.
- 3:48Speaker 3: It's really highlighted in these cases because here you have
- 3:52Speaker 3: two of the most important Senate races.
- 3:55Speaker 4: In the United States, the Senate.
- 3:56Speaker 3: Race in May and the center race in Texas, two
- 3:59Speaker 3: races where Susan Collins, someone who's demonstrated a remarkable degree
- 4:03Speaker 3: of electoral resilience over the years, and there's been chaos
- 4:07Speaker 3: on the Democratic side, someone in Ken Paxton who has
- 4:10Speaker 3: not had the record of resilience that Susan Collins has had,
- 4:13Speaker 3: but who, despite all of his scandals, there's polling that
- 4:16Speaker 3: shows him either slightly ahead or running neck and neck
- 4:19Speaker 3: with James tallerco Texas, a fundamentally red state. These are
- 4:25Speaker 3: states where those two candidates would rather be talking about
- 4:29Speaker 3: almost anything other than what the President's going to be
- 4:33Speaker 3: talking about on television tomorrow night, re raising the questions
- 4:38Speaker 3: of totally ungrounded claims of election fraud in twenty twenty whatever,
- 4:45Speaker 3: the big news is that Donald Trump says he's going
- 4:47Speaker 3: to break That is a nightmare for Susan Collins, that's
- 4:50Speaker 3: a nightmare for Ken Paxton. The voters in those states
- 4:53Speaker 3: do not want to be talking about that. And then
- 4:55Speaker 3: in those two states, these obviously absolutely are as ice killings.
- 5:01Speaker 4: Just in the last couple of days.
- 5:04Speaker 1: I put forth to you that John Hommon does not
- 5:05Speaker 1: know that they are outrageous. I put forth to you
- 5:08Speaker 1: that he does not have the data to make that statement.
- 5:11Speaker 1: But I think we need to take a step back
- 5:12Speaker 1: and take a look at the larger I think every
- 5:15Speaker 1: Republican is going to take a look at Trump speaking
- 5:17Speaker 1: Thursday night about the twenty twenty election and fraud if
- 5:21Speaker 1: that's what he's indeed talking about, and say, what are
- 5:24Speaker 1: we doing here? This doesn't need a primetime address And
- 5:27Speaker 1: I don't want to have to respond to that, I
- 5:29Speaker 1: really don't. But ICE shouldn't do its job in Maine
- 5:34Speaker 1: and Texas because they've got big Senate races and a
- 5:37Speaker 1: governor's race there, and this.
- 5:38Speaker 2: Is bad for Republicans. I put forth to you that
- 5:42Speaker 2: that's a mistake. That when we see these shootings and we.
- 5:47Speaker 1: Don't have the data, it seems obvious that the left
- 5:50Speaker 1: is counting on it, jetting people up to these moments
- 5:55Speaker 1: so they can get political advantage as opposed to are
- 5:59Speaker 1: we a country that wants to follow the law or not.
- 6:03Speaker 1: And I think that this is a gross analysis because
- 6:06Speaker 1: if accurate, it is what the left believes will get
- 6:10Speaker 1: them to a better place, not where America gets to
- 6:14Speaker 1: a better place.
