- 0:09Speaker 1: Welcome to the Favorite. I'm Chad Milman of the Action Network.
- 0:13Speaker 1: It's Monday, which means this is the Parlay Show. We're
- 0:18Speaker 1: getting you ready for what to bet this weekend. I
- 0:22Speaker 1: am joined as I am every Monday, by Jeff Schwartz,
- 0:26Speaker 1: eight years in the NFL as an offensive lineman, Action
- 0:29Speaker 1: Network contributor Paul Laduka. Ten years in the major leagues,
- 0:34Speaker 1: four time All Star. Some of those years the beginning
- 0:38Speaker 1: of those years with the Los Angeles Dodgers, who lost
- 0:43Speaker 1: the World Series last night. Yeah, played New York, New
- 0:48Speaker 1: York when they won. It seems like that's fitting. Tell
- 0:53Speaker 1: me everything you're thinking about the Dodgers right now. Uh,
- 0:58Speaker 1: there's a lot of things I'm thinking. Um that Dave
- 1:01Speaker 1: Roberts completely overmatched by by Alex Cora and listen, I
- 1:05Speaker 1: was critical of him on Twitter. Uh, and he's one
- 1:08Speaker 1: of my good friends. He just it was awful. Um,
- 1:14Speaker 1: you know, and you're in one of those situations where
- 1:16Speaker 1: every single trigger you pull is just the wrong trigger. So, um,
- 1:21Speaker 1: Alex is just his baseball mind is beyond his and
- 1:25Speaker 1: and in the product that's Boston throughout there, it was
- 1:27Speaker 1: just better. They're relentless. So um A lot of Boston
- 1:32Speaker 1: fans at that game last night, and you know, Dodger Baseball.
- 1:38Speaker 1: For the longest time, I used to tell people, Um,
- 1:42Speaker 1: how come the fans on the show up? How come
- 1:44Speaker 1: they're fake fans? And you get that a lot from
- 1:46Speaker 1: outside people, and you sto upset me. Um, And the
- 1:50Speaker 1: reason and half the reason why, let's be honest, it's
- 1:52Speaker 1: because of the traffic. Nobody can really get to anywhere
- 1:55Speaker 1: in your Dodger's stadium it or like six o'clock because
- 1:57Speaker 1: it's just impossible. Um. And they don't have, you know,
- 2:01Speaker 1: the kind of transportation to get you there. They're trying
- 2:05Speaker 1: to get the light rail and a lot of other things.
- 2:07Speaker 1: But um, it was. It was weird to see at
- 2:13Speaker 1: the end of the thing, just like twenty thousand Boston
- 2:16Speaker 1: fans there and all the l A fans just went
- 2:18Speaker 1: home like like nothing. So they deserved it. Listen, they
- 2:22Speaker 1: went through everybody like they were standing still. The Dodgers
- 2:26Speaker 1: some questionable calls with Rich Hill, some questionable calls in
- 2:29Speaker 1: Game one, Um, a lot of questionable calls in that series.
- 2:33Speaker 1: But the Dodgers in the long run just don't play
- 2:35Speaker 1: good enough defense and just didn't play enough uh. I
- 2:40Speaker 1: was at the World Series on Wednesday night of this
- 2:43Speaker 1: past week. I bet first five under four and a half.
- 2:50Speaker 1: It was three one, two outs, bottom of the fourth,
- 2:54Speaker 1: two strikes on the number nine, hit her for the
- 2:58Speaker 1: Red Sox. Yeah, he slaps a single the right next,
- 3:04Speaker 1: better up, leadoff hit her for the Red Sox. Two outs,
- 3:08Speaker 1: bottom the fourth, two strikes. I think he slept a
- 3:12Speaker 1: single the center. The Red Sox score three runs that inning.
- 3:19Speaker 1: Not a single run was scored the rest of the game. Chad,
- 3:23Speaker 1: Welcome to betting baseball. It's brutal. It's so bad. It's
- 3:29Speaker 1: like all it's all like I've been all season in baseball.
- 3:32Speaker 1: It's it's maddening. It is maddening. It's manding. Hey, So,
- 3:37Speaker 1: the Dodgers and the Astros opened up the two thousand
- 3:42Speaker 1: nineteen World Series as six to one favorites to win
- 3:45Speaker 1: it all. Yeah, you're looking. I saw that, and I
- 3:48Speaker 1: don't get the the whole the Dodger thing. I didn't
- 3:55Speaker 1: really get, and then I sort of backed up a
- 3:56Speaker 1: little bit. They get Seeker back. I don't know what
- 3:59Speaker 1: they're gonna do with the Otto, but they're gonna be
- 4:01Speaker 1: back next year, right, Yeah, I mean It depends where
- 4:05Speaker 1: they go. It depends if they even bring their manager back.
- 4:07Speaker 1: It's amazing that the manager could be in trouble after
- 4:10Speaker 1: going the back to back World series just because in
- 4:14Speaker 1: two World series. Let's not forget you Darvish, he willed
- 4:17Speaker 1: you Darvish back out there last year. So he's made
- 4:20Speaker 1: multiple mistakes in World series. So I don't know who
- 4:24Speaker 1: the GM is there because they fired Ned Collettie, but
- 4:27Speaker 1: then he was there with his rug. Uh. They don't
- 4:31Speaker 1: even know what's going on in the front office. That's
- 4:33Speaker 1: half the problem with Here's here's here's my question, Paul.
- 4:35Speaker 1: This is this is why I don't want to I
- 4:38Speaker 1: think it's it's odd to give all the blame to Roberts.
- 4:42Speaker 1: You have Roberts making like a million dollars and the
- 4:44Speaker 1: GM is making like seven eight million dollars. So the
- 4:48Speaker 1: GM feels in charge of what's happening. They have an
- 4:50Speaker 1: analytics guy in the dugout, and you see Roberts all
- 4:52Speaker 1: the time just looking down at a car because remember,
- 4:54Speaker 1: you know, I don't see Cora all the time. And
- 4:56Speaker 1: I'm sure he has and he uses analysts, which I
- 4:58Speaker 1: know he does. He was on you know, coach in Houston.
- 5:00Speaker 1: That was a big part of that. But you know
- 5:02Speaker 1: Roberts is always looking at the analysts. I don't think
- 5:05Speaker 1: he makes these decisions. I think these decisions are done
- 5:07Speaker 1: by the front office. Like in games, wanted to to
- 5:08Speaker 1: not play all your lefties. I get you did that
- 5:11Speaker 1: for the last month of season. You had the best
- 5:13Speaker 1: offense in baseball. It worked, But how can you not
- 5:16Speaker 1: play Bellinger in Game one after he just won the
- 5:20Speaker 1: NLCS m v p UM. I noticed that, But just like,
- 5:23Speaker 1: what sign does that show your team that you're just
- 5:25Speaker 1: gonna stick to the book at all times? And so
- 5:27Speaker 1: I don't I don't think he's making these a lot
- 5:29Speaker 1: of these decisions. I think these are on on upper
- 5:32Speaker 1: management to make. Yeah, I didn't get it that there's
- 5:35Speaker 1: a book, there's a book that they go by, but
- 5:38Speaker 1: when it comes to the playoffs, you guys throw it out.
- 5:40Speaker 1: I agree with that. You have to throw it out
- 5:42Speaker 1: the window. You have to manage on Greeel, this is
- 5:45Speaker 1: a guy that won a World Series by stealing a base, agree,
- 5:49Speaker 1: and then Alex core goes out there and steals every
- 5:51Speaker 1: base on him, every base Like you know, I'm sitting
- 5:55Speaker 1: there at home going, hey, Dave, how about throwing one
- 5:58Speaker 1: pitch out just to remind him that you have that
- 6:01Speaker 1: in your back pocket and then you might call it.
- 6:04Speaker 1: He didn't call one pitch out, like he did nothing
- 6:06Speaker 1: to stop the running game. They just it was I
- 6:10Speaker 1: sat here and watched this whole thing go down, and
- 6:12Speaker 1: like when you go by the book and you read
- 6:15Speaker 1: it's the safest play. I've said this for years. He
- 6:18Speaker 1: is now is he gonna get ripped? Yeah, he got
- 6:21Speaker 1: ripped for taking out and not bringing him by as
- 6:24Speaker 1: Um in game one and that ended that. But then
- 6:27Speaker 1: after that everyone is justified. Let me tell you something.
- 6:30Speaker 1: If Rich Hill's last name was Clayton Kershaw in games
- 6:34Speaker 1: M four and he had seven in the third innings,
- 6:37Speaker 1: he doesn't get taken out of that game because you
- 6:39Speaker 1: know why you're leaving Clayton Kershaw and like you did
- 6:41Speaker 1: last night and you got lucky because he had David
- 6:44Speaker 1: Price up. But because his name is rich Hill, it's
- 6:47Speaker 1: okay to take rich Hill out because you know what
- 6:49Speaker 1: the next day his name is rich Hill. He's not
- 6:52Speaker 1: a Hall of Famer named Clayton Kershaw. So here's what's interesting.
- 6:55Speaker 1: This is where it gets interesting. It's a safe play.
- 6:58Speaker 1: Next year, you got the Astros and the Red Sox
- 7:03Speaker 1: at six to one, Dodgers and Yankees at seven to one,
- 7:07Speaker 1: Cubs that tend to one, Indians tend to one, Braves
- 7:09Speaker 1: Brewers twelve, twelve to one. Out there in the universe,
- 7:15Speaker 1: Bryce Harper and Manny Machado, it's like, you need to
- 7:19Speaker 1: find a way to calculate what are the odds for
- 7:22Speaker 1: where Bryce Harper is going to go? What are the
- 7:24Speaker 1: odds for where Manny Machado is gonna go? And then
- 7:27Speaker 1: it's not going to be the Red Sox. It's not
- 7:28Speaker 1: going to be the Astros. It could be the Dodgers,
- 7:30Speaker 1: it could be the Yankees, could be the Cubs. So
- 7:33Speaker 1: is the value right now in trying to figure out
- 7:35Speaker 1: where does Bryce Harper Manny Machado go and getting one
- 7:38Speaker 1: of the teams that are at the lower numbers or
- 7:42Speaker 1: higher numbers, but whichever the case may be, and then
- 7:44Speaker 1: trying to sort of trying to do the math on that.
- 7:49Speaker 1: But doesn't matter because we see we saw in this
- 7:52Speaker 1: World series that having Machado didn't help with Dodgers and
- 7:55Speaker 1: Steve Pierce was the MVP who they traded for in
- 7:57Speaker 1: like in like July to just going to be a
- 8:00Speaker 1: rotational guy on their team and he want the MVP.
- 8:03Speaker 1: I don't know what does that matter? If I thought Harper?
- 8:05Speaker 1: And what is it matter? Jeff, We're just trying to
- 8:08Speaker 1: figure out how to have a little bit of fun.
- 8:13Speaker 1: You want to bet the Cubs? That's why it comes
- 8:15Speaker 1: down to see, I knew there was a there's a
- 8:16Speaker 1: motive here. Do you want? Do you want Harper on
- 8:18Speaker 1: the Cubs? You gotta you got a shot? Chen? Are
- 8:22Speaker 1: you gonna pay for him? I don't think we have
- 8:24Speaker 1: a shot. I think it's gonna go to the Yankees. Yeah,
- 8:27Speaker 1: you know what? That just the Giants weirdly have supposedly
- 8:30Speaker 1: are in this, which I don't understand. I don't have
- 8:32Speaker 1: a ton of cap space. They can make some moves,
- 8:37Speaker 1: I mean, but they're not. But I'm a Giants fan.
- 8:40Speaker 1: They're not any good Giants? Are ye to repeat? Red
- 8:49Speaker 1: Sox are at six to one? Yeah, it would be
- 8:53Speaker 1: interesting what happens if David Price and Chris so can
- 8:57Speaker 1: pitch the way they pitched. I get tim, I had
- 8:59Speaker 1: to hit. I'm happy a little bit for David Price.
- 9:01Speaker 1: A great picture that that pitched well, um for the
- 9:06Speaker 1: first time in the postseason. And again I feel sorry
- 9:08Speaker 1: for Clayton. I know Clayton personally in like probably the
- 9:13Speaker 1: most dominant picture maybe our our generation in the non postseason,
- 9:18Speaker 1: and then it just gets in the postseason. It just
- 9:21Speaker 1: it just doesn't work. It falls off a cliff except
- 9:25Speaker 1: for his curveball. But boom boom. Hey, guys, guess what
- 9:30Speaker 1: we need to do? A nine team parlay this week,
- 9:32Speaker 1: which I consider to be a privilege. Um, last week
- 9:37Speaker 1: we went three and six, which I also consider to
- 9:41Speaker 1: be a market improvement over the week before, because we
- 9:47Speaker 1: went one in eight. Um. Last week, Uh, let's see,
- 9:53Speaker 1: I went one and two because I picked the Rams
- 9:56Speaker 1: unfortunately also picked the Giants and then I had Minnesota. Boy,
- 10:00Speaker 1: that Adam Feeland fumble. Really they never recovered from that. Paully,
- 10:04Speaker 1: you had the Broncos plus ten. Nice job. You had Minnesota. Uh,
- 10:08Speaker 1: New Orleans under fifty two, well done, and Standford minus
- 10:12Speaker 1: three and a half. You lost that one, jeff When
- 10:16Speaker 1: your parents were disappointed in you, would they call you Jeffrey? Yeah, Jeffrey, Jeffrey.
- 10:23Speaker 1: You had U c l A plus ten, Yeah, I
- 10:25Speaker 1: think very well. Yeah, Detroit minus two and a half
- 10:30Speaker 1: didn't also don't go very well. You can't go very well.
- 10:32Speaker 1: Who is your third pick? I'm glad. I'm glad you're
- 10:37Speaker 1: Cleveland plus eight and a half. I'm glad. For whatever reason,
- 10:40Speaker 1: I don't actually bet these most of these, like when
- 10:43Speaker 1: it comes down to Sunday, because we have time all
- 10:45Speaker 1: week to look at these stuff. But yeah, I need
- 10:48Speaker 1: to do I need to do better. I need to
- 10:49Speaker 1: help us out. We need to win one of these. Well, listen,
- 10:51Speaker 1: it's not all on you. You're a big man, but
- 10:53Speaker 1: you don't have to shoulder the burden. You know what
- 10:55Speaker 1: I'm as I am shoulder. It doesn't bother me. It
- 10:58Speaker 1: doesn't bother me one bit. Let's make some let's move that.
- 11:01Speaker 1: We're gonna make it happen at some point. Let's rock
- 11:03Speaker 1: and roll. Let's make a parley. Oh boy, if we
- 11:12Speaker 1: if we win the parlay this week, we never have
- 11:14Speaker 1: to hear you soon again. Did you finish your diaries yet? Yeah?
- 11:18Speaker 1: Put it up? Put it up last night? What night?
- 11:22Speaker 1: Didn't retweet it before? You understand this because I had
- 11:28Speaker 1: it done last night. It was pretty easy because like
- 11:31Speaker 1: by the second half, it was clear the Saints we're
- 11:34Speaker 1: gonna win that game. I slacked Scott Miller at like
- 11:39Speaker 1: thirty and said, I'm pretty much sure I can. I'm
- 11:41Speaker 1: pretty sure I can just write the ending on this
- 11:43Speaker 1: right now because I know how this is going. Um,
- 11:46Speaker 1: because we had the vikings. I had the vikings. So
- 11:50Speaker 1: the diaries are up. Go read him. What's interesting about
- 11:54Speaker 1: the diaries, if I do say so myself, the reason
- 11:59Speaker 1: why the john and lull you into betting them is
- 12:02Speaker 1: because you look at Eli stats and they're the best
- 12:05Speaker 1: stats he's ever had in his career. It's the best
- 12:08Speaker 1: he's ever had in his career, and you think, how
- 12:11Speaker 1: could they lose these games? And then you watch the
- 12:13Speaker 1: games and like you only see him making bad plays,
- 12:17Speaker 1: and it is so frustrating. I watched that game obviously,
- 12:20Speaker 1: I was on I was on the red zone. Red Zone,
- 12:24Speaker 1: which was craptastic by the way they showed. They showed
- 12:27Speaker 1: me like the entire Bengals Bucks game and did not
- 12:29Speaker 1: show me any highlights from any other the games, Like
- 12:32Speaker 1: it was five minutes behind everything yesterday. It was an embarrassment.
- 12:35Speaker 1: The red zone yesterday, and it's my favorite thing of
- 12:39Speaker 1: all time. It is mine too, and yet it was
- 12:41Speaker 1: just just and I had, and I had, and I had,
- 12:45Speaker 1: I had the bucks yesterday it was fantastic, bully for you.
- 12:51Speaker 1: I missed a live Cardinals, like a twenty yard pass
- 12:56Speaker 1: during their final game winning drive. Because Red Zone is
- 13:00Speaker 1: showing me a replay of Adrian Peterson clinching the Redskins
- 13:04Speaker 1: win and my Giants loss, I'm like, what the funk? Dudes,
- 13:10Speaker 1: why are you putting a shive directly through my belly button.
- 13:14Speaker 1: There were times yesterday, I will say this, I was
- 13:16Speaker 1: watching the Red Zone channel and there was like the
- 13:19Speaker 1: end I think it was the end of of one
- 13:21Speaker 1: game was happening, and they refused to get off double
- 13:25Speaker 1: screens even though the other game was like in the
- 13:26Speaker 1: first quarter, and like, God, give me the full screen.
- 13:29Speaker 1: I want the full screen of the end of this game.
- 13:31Speaker 1: So I do agree that it wasn't it didn't feel
- 13:33Speaker 1: quite the same yesterday. You know, they're not gonna be
- 13:35Speaker 1: in there on their game every single week. You know
- 13:38Speaker 1: what that's I disagree with you. There is a formula
- 13:42Speaker 1: for this. It's it's that simple. Like if the Cardinals
- 13:46Speaker 1: are on the other side of midfield and the Rams
- 13:49Speaker 1: are on their own thirty, show me the fucking Cardinals,
- 13:54Speaker 1: don't show me the Rams. I'm with you, he's control.
- 13:58Speaker 1: But if you're but if you are, if you are
- 14:01Speaker 1: betting in that game, then you're not going to have
- 14:04Speaker 1: as much vested in that. More people want to watch
- 14:07Speaker 1: the Rams and the Packers then want to watch the Cardinals.
- 14:12Speaker 1: Well everybody should have been betting on the Cardinals because
- 14:14Speaker 1: that line didn't make any sense. I had the Cardinals too,
- 14:16Speaker 1: I bet on the Cardinals. So how did you guys feel?
- 14:21Speaker 1: How do you guys feel? Okay, So Todd Gurley, it's
- 14:23Speaker 1: about so I haven't I had the Packers, by the
- 14:29Speaker 1: way early in the week at nine and a half,
- 14:30Speaker 1: so it would have mattered to me. But it's interesting
- 14:32Speaker 1: about about the narrative about that on social media was
- 14:36Speaker 1: that like the Rams backers got screwed, But really that
- 14:40Speaker 1: if he would have scored the Packers, the people that
- 14:43Speaker 1: backed the Packers will be screw because the Rams the
- 14:45Speaker 1: entire game had barely over chance of winning that bet.
- 14:50Speaker 1: I mean it was even at some points Packers, so
- 14:54Speaker 1: it would it would be a worse loss for the
- 14:56Speaker 1: Packers backers. Had the Rams scored, there, had Gurley chord
- 15:00Speaker 1: than it was then you know, then it was for
- 15:02Speaker 1: the Rams backers and Twitter lost their minds, like the
- 15:05Speaker 1: Rams got screwed. The people that bet on the Rams
- 15:08Speaker 1: got screwed. You didn't get screwed that the Packers would
- 15:10Speaker 1: have been screwed. Yes, I had I had the Rams
- 15:13Speaker 1: at eight and a half. I had the over in
- 15:16Speaker 1: the second half and impacted every single thing. And it
- 15:18Speaker 1: would have impacted Vegas big time because it would have
- 15:21Speaker 1: landed right in the middle of the number. Um uh,
- 15:25Speaker 1: because a lot of people had eight and a half
- 15:26Speaker 1: to nine and a half, so it would have landed
- 15:28Speaker 1: on nine, saying he would have made the extra point, um,
- 15:32Speaker 1: and then it would have went over and then the
- 15:34Speaker 1: Rams would have covered the second half on the over
- 15:37Speaker 1: which I played. It cost me three different plays. But
- 15:40Speaker 1: a lot of people are saying, oh, you know extra
- 15:42Speaker 1: points success Uh, it isn't having the same success rate.
- 15:47Speaker 1: That's why he went down. There was eleven seconds seconds left, Like,
- 15:51Speaker 1: just go in the end zone, bro, Like I get it.
- 15:54Speaker 1: I get why he sat down, and he wants to
- 15:56Speaker 1: be a smart player, but I mean, you just walk
- 16:00Speaker 1: into the end zone. There's nobody you're going up. There's
- 16:03Speaker 1: no nine Polly, there's no nice it was the right play,
- 16:10Speaker 1: and to me, because you had, Because you had, he's
- 16:15Speaker 1: the MVP of the I fil right now. There's no
- 16:17Speaker 1: more exactly just whatever side you're on is the right side.
- 16:22Speaker 1: There's no winner or loser in this. If I were,
- 16:26Speaker 1: if I were voting on m VP right now, Josh
- 16:28Speaker 1: Rosen one Toddy to oh and then Byron Leftwich new
- 16:37Speaker 1: offensive coordinator for the Cardinals. Three. Rosen is going to
- 16:40Speaker 1: be so good when he gets adequate help on offensive
- 16:42Speaker 1: line and coordinator, it's gonna be fantastic. He was amazing.
- 16:46Speaker 1: He's really good. Yeah, he's very he's very accurate. He
- 16:49Speaker 1: looks also on the field, also fearless. He you know what,
- 16:55Speaker 1: he just looks like a dick. Who cares. That's what
- 16:59Speaker 1: I got with water dick in real life. Who cares.
- 17:02Speaker 1: I know, it's great. I love guys like that. But
- 17:05Speaker 1: I never I never bought this this thing about Josh
- 17:07Speaker 1: Rosen to where like he's arrogant. Yeah, he's a quarterback.
- 17:10Speaker 1: I hope he's arrogant. He's the best. He's supposed to
- 17:13Speaker 1: be the best player on your team. Like, I hope
- 17:15Speaker 1: that the quarterback is arrogant. I hope he wants to
- 17:17Speaker 1: know why things are done. Like all this Chris is
- 17:19Speaker 1: about Josh Rosen was so stupid. If he didn't have
- 17:21Speaker 1: any of those, he would have been the first pick
- 17:23Speaker 1: overall in the draft. So I think he's I said
- 17:25Speaker 1: it from the starting, to be the best quarterback in
- 17:27Speaker 1: this draft. I still think that, Um just give him
- 17:30Speaker 1: some time with a competent offense. Let's pick some games, boys,
- 17:34Speaker 1: do it, Let's build a partly. That's what it would
- 17:41Speaker 1: sound like if we were doing a musical about this,
- 17:45Speaker 1: If it was like The Favorites the musical, the opening
- 17:49Speaker 1: act would be, you know, we're making a parlay. Hey, hey,
- 17:53Speaker 1: heyre making hey hey, oh my god, you think this
- 17:58Speaker 1: could be a music? Just do some sort of Hamilton's
- 18:00Speaker 1: musical There. No, it was like it was like there,
- 18:04Speaker 1: It's like in the opening act, like there's a group
- 18:07Speaker 1: of people and they are like whispering in the background,
- 18:11Speaker 1: like it builds to a crescendo and they do some
- 18:14Speaker 1: jazz hands and at the end it's like, you know,
- 18:16Speaker 1: a whole line kick and they're screaming like something about
- 18:21Speaker 1: making a parlay on a Monday morning. That's how I
- 18:25Speaker 1: see it. Uh, we start with me I'm a visionary.
- 18:34Speaker 1: Mm hmmm, throw them bones, brother, Alright, I'm up, all right,
- 18:40Speaker 1: how about this. It's a weird board, by the way,
- 18:43Speaker 1: on a Monday morning. Let's look at this thing. Um,
- 18:46Speaker 1: let's go with New Orleans plus one at home against
- 18:48Speaker 1: the Rams. The Rams have to lose at some point.
- 18:50Speaker 1: They're not gonna be undefeated. We've seen them so far
- 18:53Speaker 1: this year. You know, have have road games, UM in
- 18:56Speaker 1: Denver that weren't weren't as pretty, Seattle weren't as pretty.
- 18:58Speaker 1: They almost lost yesterday. And look who knows of time
- 19:01Speaker 1: Montgomery holds onto the football or just fair catches or
- 19:04Speaker 1: takes a knee in the end zone. Um, you have
- 19:06Speaker 1: Rogers two minutes left, um to drive down the field
- 19:10Speaker 1: against that Rams defense that really has struggled at times,
- 19:13Speaker 1: especially in the back end. Marcus Peters a lot has struggled. Um.
- 19:16Speaker 1: Their pass rushes Aaron Donald and Sue there's no edge
- 19:18Speaker 1: rush at all. So UM, I think I think the
- 19:21Speaker 1: Packers have a good chance of going down and scoring
- 19:23Speaker 1: and winning that game. I think New Orleans right now.
- 19:25Speaker 1: You know we talked last week about that the value
- 19:29Speaker 1: on them will never be higher. Well, they went into
- 19:30Speaker 1: Minnesota and stomped on the Vikings. Um. The Saints are
- 19:34Speaker 1: a really good football team. They go home now where
- 19:37Speaker 1: we know they play even better. I just don't see
- 19:39Speaker 1: how the Rams end up being able to guard all
- 19:42Speaker 1: these weapons that they have. I think the Saints winning
- 19:44Speaker 1: a shootout here. What do you think of their defense
- 19:48Speaker 1: right now? Like, is their defense getting better? Yes? Well
- 19:51Speaker 1: this is this has been a theme of there's the
- 19:53Speaker 1: last couple of years where there they start really slow.
- 19:56Speaker 1: Remember the previous four years chat they started owing to
- 19:59Speaker 1: the lead, and then this year they almost went on
- 20:01Speaker 1: into the brown Smith four field goals in Week two
- 20:02Speaker 1: in New Orleans. And so you have Marcus Davenport they
- 20:05Speaker 1: drafted the first round, who had two sacks yesterday. He's
- 20:07Speaker 1: playing a lot better now. The Vikings offensive line not
- 20:10Speaker 1: very good. Uh. And this in general that they're starting
- 20:12Speaker 1: to play just continuing to to improve each week. They
- 20:16Speaker 1: had had Eli Apple in there at corner from from
- 20:19Speaker 1: New York who they traded four Um to keep getting better.
- 20:21Speaker 1: That that's what they do. It's a sign of a
- 20:23Speaker 1: good team in my opinion, not the slow start part,
- 20:25Speaker 1: but just the part of getting better throughout the season.
- 20:28Speaker 1: I think they can really feel it this year like
- 20:30Speaker 1: they you have that sense that they they're feeling themselves
- 20:34Speaker 1: um winning the NFC because if they win this game,
- 20:38Speaker 1: it might put them on track two to host the
- 20:40Speaker 1: Ancy Championship game. Inside in New Orance, in that place
- 20:43Speaker 1: gets loud like it gets you can't hear anything loud.
- 20:47Speaker 1: It's a loud it's a loud place. It's fun to play.
- 20:50Speaker 1: Is this a good time to subtly yet humble braggy
- 20:56Speaker 1: remind people that I bet the New Orleans Saints to
- 21:02Speaker 1: win the Super Bowl at eighteen to one. It's a
- 21:05Speaker 1: good bet. It's a good better is also bet the Texans.
- 21:10Speaker 1: Also bet the Texans a nice try. You mock what
- 21:17Speaker 1: you don't understand, Jeffrey who all right, if I'll think
- 21:24Speaker 1: of a bet if the Texas in the super Bowl,
- 21:25Speaker 1: I do something. But there's no there's not a chance
- 21:27Speaker 1: that Texas even make a super Bowl. But sure you
- 21:30Speaker 1: can have a dream that can be like the second
- 21:34Speaker 1: song in the musical, because every every musical has to
- 21:39Speaker 1: have like uh song where it includes the phrase dream.
- 21:45Speaker 1: So like I can be you can be standing on
- 21:48Speaker 1: one side of the stage like towards the front, and
- 21:52Speaker 1: I can be standing on the other side of the stage,
- 21:54Speaker 1: and there'll be a spotlight on you and a spotlight
- 21:56Speaker 1: on me, and you can start singing about like how
- 22:00Speaker 1: I'm dreaming of the Texans winning the super Bowl, and
- 22:02Speaker 1: then like almost like I don't know what they call
- 22:05Speaker 1: that in the music business, but while you're singing one
- 22:08Speaker 1: one song, I'm singing another song about dreaming of the
- 22:12Speaker 1: Texans winning the super Bowl, and you're telling me I'm wrong,
- 22:14Speaker 1: and I'm saying I can believe you. You do seem
- 22:16Speaker 1: like the musical type, so it makes sense that you
- 22:18Speaker 1: seem very in tune. I just saw Hamilton this week too,
- 22:21Speaker 1: so I listen. I actually can't. I actually hate musicals.
- 22:25Speaker 1: Um no, no, but I'm just I'm I'm seeing it
- 22:29Speaker 1: right now. I just feel it, like sometimes you feel it.
- 22:31Speaker 1: You've got to get these things out. After this is over,
- 22:33Speaker 1: I'm going to replay the podcast just so I can
- 22:35Speaker 1: make some notes, and I'm gonna send this off to
- 22:37Speaker 1: lin Manuel. I think that's what he's gonna want to do. Listen. Betting.
- 22:41Speaker 1: Betting is big business right now. People want to be
- 22:43Speaker 1: in the betting business. We get calls every day. We
- 22:45Speaker 1: want a partner about this. We want to partner about that.
- 22:47Speaker 1: We want to do this, we want to do that.
- 22:49Speaker 1: I think I can get this. I can get this,
- 22:52Speaker 1: like on the needer Lander stage. All right, you you
- 23:00Speaker 1: took your coffee this morning, chat, I appreciate that. I'm
- 23:03Speaker 1: half a green tea in I'm a little nauseous. I
- 23:06Speaker 1: think I probably have to eat something because I'm in
- 23:07Speaker 1: that weird phase. Was my my younger son's twelve birthday
- 23:11Speaker 1: yesterday and he wanted an ice cream cake, and I
- 23:14Speaker 1: think I ate half that fucker, like by myself watching
- 23:18Speaker 1: the Saints Vikings game last night. So I'm feling a
- 23:20Speaker 1: little sick this morn. I'm gonna have to get in
- 23:22Speaker 1: the bike soon. Poli, I think you're up, buddy. Okay,
- 23:31Speaker 1: what's the third song in our musical, Laduca. It's called
- 23:35Speaker 1: the Mic. We're gonna call it Tilt and it's just
- 23:40Speaker 1: gonna be you Tap Danson. No right? Oh god? Uh.
- 23:47Speaker 1: Tennessee Titans plus six against the Dallas Cowboys already an
- 23:53Speaker 1: overreaction to Marie Cooper. I actually was one of the
- 23:58Speaker 1: few that stayed up, actually stayed up, got up because
- 24:02Speaker 1: I actually needed the Tennessee game over. When they played
- 24:05Speaker 1: Jack excuse me. When they played, um, what's you called
- 24:10Speaker 1: the the Chargers in London? And you know the Chargers
- 24:14Speaker 1: dominated so of that game, but if you looked, the
- 24:16Speaker 1: Tennessee dominated the time of possession, really should have won
- 24:21Speaker 1: the game. And then they scored and then Rabel for
- 24:23Speaker 1: some reason, went for two. We went for the jugular,
- 24:26Speaker 1: went for the aggressive play. I told you guys before,
- 24:29Speaker 1: he's on my pick list with the horses. He's a gambler. Um,
- 24:33Speaker 1: I just don't see a six point difference between these
- 24:36Speaker 1: two teams. Amari Cooper needs to get to the to
- 24:39Speaker 1: the playbook. Does he make them a better Yeah, he
- 24:42Speaker 1: probably will make them a little bit better, But I
- 24:44Speaker 1: don't know if there's six points better than the Tennessee Titans.
- 24:47Speaker 1: The Titans you know three and four and if you
- 24:50Speaker 1: look they that division is still a vision that can
- 24:53Speaker 1: be up for grabs. So, um, I just think this
- 24:56Speaker 1: is a solid play. Well, there's a couple of things
- 25:00Speaker 1: you said in there that I'm I agree with and
- 25:02Speaker 1: a couple of things you just I disagree with. One broadly.
- 25:06Speaker 1: I love the new gun slinging NFL. I love that
- 25:10Speaker 1: people are going forward in fourth down. I love that
- 25:12Speaker 1: people are fake punting from their own fifteen. I love
- 25:15Speaker 1: that Rabel is going for two and going for the
- 25:17Speaker 1: win and not playing for overtimes and ties. Um I
- 25:20Speaker 1: think and Rabel has done that a few times this year.
- 25:22Speaker 1: I think it's amazing. It makes it so much more interesting.
- 25:26Speaker 1: And it's also just smarter football, like from from a
- 25:30Speaker 1: math perspective, like it's just much better. Um, I think
- 25:34Speaker 1: I I think you said something else that I disagree
- 25:37Speaker 1: with and I can't remember now. It's too bad. Good,
- 25:43Speaker 1: But the Cowboys aren't six points better than six points
- 25:45Speaker 1: better though, No I think they are, so I don't
- 25:48Speaker 1: think they are either. I think, uh, I think it's
- 25:50Speaker 1: completely the right side. Um, I don't know what it is.
- 25:54Speaker 1: I lost my train of thought started thinking about the
- 25:56Speaker 1: fourth song of the music or about the London hangover?
- 25:58Speaker 1: Anything to that? Have you? You you played over their
- 26:01Speaker 1: short see no, but they had to buy so they
- 26:04Speaker 1: when you come back from Mondon. That's my thought process.
- 26:07Speaker 1: And I wonder if there's always a hangover. And so
- 26:09Speaker 1: far we've seen teams I don't know. I probably should
- 26:11Speaker 1: look this up or have one of our our bet
- 26:13Speaker 1: labs people look up like teams this year seemed to
- 26:16Speaker 1: be playing really well off and by. I know not
- 26:18Speaker 1: all of them do, but we've seen, like we I
- 26:20Speaker 1: bet against, I bet against a lot of teams coming
- 26:22Speaker 1: off of buy and that they have all like won
- 26:24Speaker 1: the game. I know there's certain teams like New Orleans
- 26:26Speaker 1: who I think Sean Page's thirteen and two after by,
- 26:28Speaker 1: Andy Reid something like fourteen and two, fifteen and two
- 26:31Speaker 1: after by. I mean, some coaches are really good after bye.
- 26:34Speaker 1: But it seems like, you know, the Seahawks yesterday I
- 26:36Speaker 1: played really well after by might be the best offensiveportance
- 26:39Speaker 1: that they had all year. Like they just teams just
- 26:41Speaker 1: have been playing well off of bye. Tennessee off six points,
- 26:44Speaker 1: that was not six points better than than anyone in
- 26:46Speaker 1: the NFL. Right now, I remembered what I was gonna say, Polly,
- 26:53Speaker 1: This division in the a f C South is not
- 26:55Speaker 1: wide open because the Texans are running away with this
- 26:58Speaker 1: thing running away. You watched one game, yeah, in the
- 27:06Speaker 1: endless and the the Dolphins are in disarray, the running
- 27:13Speaker 1: The Dolphins are in disarray. The Titans are good, but
- 27:16Speaker 1: not great. I'm talking the Jaguars. The Jaguars are in
- 27:21Speaker 1: a free fall exactly. Houston Texans are winning this division,
- 27:30Speaker 1: but I think we are to look but it's just
- 27:33Speaker 1: one of those tickets where you're like the horses in front,
- 27:35Speaker 1: but you know he's going to fade. Washington Redskins minus
- 27:39Speaker 1: one and a half pint cavorites at home against the
- 27:41Speaker 1: Atlanta Falcons. Do you say Smith a holiday card every year?
- 27:46Speaker 1: Do I do? You said? Like Smith the holiday card
- 27:49Speaker 1: every year? I'm going to how do you not bet
- 27:58Speaker 1: the Redskins? Like their defense is pretty good and like
- 28:02Speaker 1: they just keep winning? Like why wouldn't I bet them
- 28:05Speaker 1: as a short home favorite against a team that I
- 28:07Speaker 1: don't like it at all? All Ox Smith does is
- 28:10Speaker 1: win football games in the regular season. All Alex Smith
- 28:13Speaker 1: does is win football games in the regular season. Atlanta
- 28:17Speaker 1: is off the bye week, Yeah great, Lena, Atlanta is
- 28:21Speaker 1: now outside though in in Washington, um their defense that
- 28:26Speaker 1: the bye week doesn't help there they have. Give me.
- 28:30Speaker 1: Give me an underachieving team going on the road, playing
- 28:33Speaker 1: outside when they're built for a fast track against a
- 28:37Speaker 1: team with a good defense, a quarterback who doesn't make mistakes,
- 28:40Speaker 1: and a team that consistently wins. Yeah, I'll take that
- 28:44Speaker 1: as a short home favorite. It's supposed to be fifties
- 28:48Speaker 1: seven degrees to kick off. Come with this game too.
- 28:52Speaker 1: I feel like sometimes you have to stick with what
- 28:54Speaker 1: you do, right, which is a short home favorite. Yeah,
- 28:58Speaker 1: no reason not to. Yeah, kind of like this Atlanta
- 29:02Speaker 1: is playing outside it is. It's just a different team,
- 29:04Speaker 1: especially with all those injuries. That that's a good good point.
- 29:07Speaker 1: Whether it's gonna be starting to factory in here pretty
- 29:10Speaker 1: soon or I did a little bit, but that's a
- 29:11Speaker 1: good point. The quartsy Tampa blade plus seven against Carolina
- 29:16Speaker 1: on the road. Here's a deal that these games are close.
- 29:19Speaker 1: When Tampa plays Carolina, fits Magic is gonna probably start
- 29:22Speaker 1: this game right now. If you look at last year
- 29:25Speaker 1: three point game early in the season, very early season,
- 29:28Speaker 1: the game was UM was fourteen points. But even last
- 29:33Speaker 1: year one point game, three point game seven points for
- 29:36Speaker 1: Tampa Bay, especially if it's Magic plays as too many points.
- 29:39Speaker 1: They can score a lot on offense UM with DeShawn Jackson,
- 29:42Speaker 1: Mike Evans, o J Howard. We saw yesterday what that
- 29:45Speaker 1: offense can do coming from behind. The Panthers are playing
- 29:48Speaker 1: really well right now. I get that, but we're over
- 29:51Speaker 1: in playing their defense a little bit. After the Ravens performance,
- 29:53Speaker 1: their their defense, at least statistically, the efficiency is not
- 29:56Speaker 1: as high as it happened in the past. UM I
- 29:59Speaker 1: think the Tampa Bay keeps this game close. Seven points
- 30:01Speaker 1: is a lot, especially in division for kind of Tampa
- 30:04Speaker 1: Bay just kind of has their number the Panthers number
- 30:08Speaker 1: of times. UM So I think that this game is
- 30:11Speaker 1: really close. Parentthers probably still win at seven points. I
- 30:15Speaker 1: like the bigger question is what what do the what
- 30:18Speaker 1: do the Buccaneers do about Jamis Winston right now? They
- 30:21Speaker 1: don't they just get another quarterback in the draft and
- 30:23Speaker 1: they let him go. Really, they're in a weird They're
- 30:26Speaker 1: in a weird spot right now where they're kind of
- 30:30Speaker 1: a no man's land because Jamis Wilson is clearly not
- 30:32Speaker 1: the future. Now you can think maybe we will will
- 30:35Speaker 1: give him his one will give him his one year
- 30:36Speaker 1: option UM next year, and we'll bring in a new
- 30:39Speaker 1: coach because I only Cutter makes it, and we'll see
- 30:41Speaker 1: how he does under that new coach. But he's he
- 30:43Speaker 1: in the status pull up in forty nine games, I
- 30:47Speaker 1: think he's he's turned here. It is right here. In
- 30:49Speaker 1: forty nine games, Jamis has done fifty four interceptions and
- 30:53Speaker 1: fumbled thirty six times, and I think that's even before
- 30:55Speaker 1: he threw like his last two interceptions yesterday. So that's
- 30:58Speaker 1: not good to who's the ball ninety times? Now, not
- 31:01Speaker 1: all those fumbles were recovered, but not not Nonetheless, you
- 31:06Speaker 1: can't do that if you're Jamis. So the players you
- 31:09Speaker 1: could tell there's a difference in the player's attitudes on
- 31:12Speaker 1: the field and when Fitz comes in. But Fits is
- 31:14Speaker 1: also not the future of the franchise either, so you
- 31:16Speaker 1: kind of have no future quarterback, which is a terrible
- 31:19Speaker 1: place to be in NFL. And they're not bad enough
- 31:22Speaker 1: to have the number one pick, and so they're gonna
- 31:25Speaker 1: have to find some quarterback, maybe Teddy Bridgewater this offset.
- 31:28Speaker 1: Someone's gonna have to come in and play quarterback for them. Yeah,
- 31:34Speaker 1: Winston's got a little bit of Eli Manning and him
- 31:36Speaker 1: where he just throws that pick where there's just like
- 31:38Speaker 1: nobody within Yeah, the one feature the linebacker yesterday, like
- 31:42Speaker 1: just literally there are seven Bengals and zero Buccaneers. You
- 31:45Speaker 1: prow the ball right in the linebacker's chest. It's like
- 31:49Speaker 1: two quarterbacks in the league. Eli does it too. It's
- 31:51Speaker 1: like yes, and then he like looks around like the
- 31:53Speaker 1: guy should be there, Polly, you're up. Okay, Uh Steelers Ravens.
- 32:03Speaker 1: I love the Ravens here minus three and a couple
- 32:05Speaker 1: of reasons why. Um, they already beat the Steelers in
- 32:09Speaker 1: this year. There are four and four now and listen,
- 32:12Speaker 1: they were on the rise, told what two weeks ago,
- 32:15Speaker 1: three weeks ago? And I think that the lost in
- 32:18Speaker 1: New Orleans was crushing justin Tucker and misses the extra point.
- 32:21Speaker 1: They have a little bit of a hangover against Carolina.
- 32:24Speaker 1: They're never in that game. After shutting out Tennessee. UM.
- 32:29Speaker 1: And you know, Pittsburgh, I get it they did. They
- 32:32Speaker 1: blew out Cleveland yesterday and they're starting a little a
- 32:35Speaker 1: little bit better UM on the offensive. On the defensive side,
- 32:40Speaker 1: I still think they're vulnerable. And I do think that
- 32:43Speaker 1: Baltimore always matches up well against Pittsburgh, and three points
- 32:47Speaker 1: at home, they'll be able to put pressure on on
- 32:50Speaker 1: Big Ben Um. And I just like this play divisional play.
- 32:55Speaker 1: I think it will be a knock it out game.
- 32:56Speaker 1: I can't believe the under over is that high forty
- 32:58Speaker 1: seven degrees. It's supposed to be really low temperatures in Baltimore.
- 33:02Speaker 1: But um, this is a kind of thing where the overreaction.
- 33:06Speaker 1: I'm getting decent value on the Ravens at ninus three,
- 33:10Speaker 1: sometimes minus two and a half in some other books.
- 33:13Speaker 1: I agree with you. I think this whole thing is
- 33:18Speaker 1: out of whack. I think the Ravens are have been
- 33:22Speaker 1: playing sort of. They haven't playing great. The last couple
- 33:25Speaker 1: of weeks, Pittsburgh had a big win against against Cleveland,
- 33:29Speaker 1: a team that I think a lot of people were
- 33:31Speaker 1: thinking could keep these games close. Um, these games are
- 33:35Speaker 1: always tight. It's always like in that three or five
- 33:37Speaker 1: point range. I'm with you with the only challenge, by
- 33:45Speaker 1: the way, the only challenge here is that, like I worry,
- 33:48Speaker 1: this number is gonna come down? Do you think so?
- 33:53Speaker 1: Will they take it off the key number? Mm hmm,
- 33:57Speaker 1: I don't know. I'm to go you guys ready? Are
- 34:02Speaker 1: you ready? It sounds like it's going to be a
- 34:05Speaker 1: pick that we're not gonna like, but go ahead, don't
- 34:08Speaker 1: play the Giants please? Are they off this week? You're ready? Yes?
- 34:17Speaker 1: This is the game I'm really struggling with, really really
- 34:21Speaker 1: struggling with l A Chargers plus one at Seattle. If
- 34:33Speaker 1: someone were to throw a challenge flag on this and say, nope,
- 34:35Speaker 1: we got to take the Seahawks. I could do that too,
- 34:38Speaker 1: but this is the same I know, I know, I know. Yeah,
- 34:47Speaker 1: Seattle is finally healthy. He scares me good coming off
- 34:53Speaker 1: the bye week, same Chargers coming off the by the
- 34:56Speaker 1: They're a really good team. They've only lost to the
- 34:58Speaker 1: Rams and the Chiefs. At this point. Philip Rivers is
- 35:01Speaker 1: having an m v P type year, very quietly like,
- 35:05Speaker 1: I don't know, maybe it should be the Seahawks. Like
- 35:12Speaker 1: I don't know. I I am torn because that's the
- 35:16Speaker 1: same play you made when you took the Chargers over
- 35:18Speaker 1: the Browns the Charges were in Cleveland, Like you went
- 35:20Speaker 1: against your gut of your normal play, which is the
- 35:24Speaker 1: short home favorite. So if you feel this way, I
- 35:26Speaker 1: feel like there's a reason why you feel so good
- 35:30Speaker 1: about this pick. I just think the Chargers are like,
- 35:35Speaker 1: I think they're really good. I think they're good and
- 35:37Speaker 1: they're being ignored. I can see that they're very good
- 35:43Speaker 1: on offense. They're way better offensive team than people think,
- 35:46Speaker 1: so I'd like this play. Oh, I can't believe you
- 35:48Speaker 1: gave Blackjack thirteen and a half of the Patriots tonight.
- 35:50Speaker 1: I mind football on your favorites like that is so
- 35:53Speaker 1: not your deal. I just gave up. I'm just so
- 35:57Speaker 1: sick of listening to that talk about the playtriots that
- 36:01Speaker 1: like your doctor for secondhand jewel smoke pretty It's like
- 36:06Speaker 1: I just I could not listen to him talk about
- 36:10Speaker 1: having about the Patriots anymore, and like this will give me.
- 36:15Speaker 1: If they win, I win, and if they lose, I
- 36:18Speaker 1: win because I get everything. I need to sort of
- 36:21Speaker 1: say to him, we're done. My way is the right way.
- 36:25Speaker 1: Your way has been flukey. So that's it. You're in
- 36:29Speaker 1: a rare form today, Chad. I love it. Jeff, you
- 36:32Speaker 1: you're fired up today. All Right, I gott get to
- 36:34Speaker 1: my I gotta go film an episode of I'll take
- 36:36Speaker 1: that bet. So let's let's do it. Man, we gotta
- 36:39Speaker 1: get down ten minutes. You've got your a multimedia superstar.
- 36:41Speaker 1: Let's get let's get let's get my third pick. How
- 36:44Speaker 1: about this college football? Last two weeks have been rough
- 36:47Speaker 1: for me, but we're gonna make a comeback this week.
- 36:49Speaker 1: God Friday Night, Friday Night Patrol after Dark, Arizona's four
- 36:55Speaker 1: point favorites over Colorado at home. Give me the Wildcats
- 36:59Speaker 1: Colorado this week, by the way, like this is they
- 37:01Speaker 1: had a loss on Saturday that you just don't come
- 37:03Speaker 1: back from. Like you don't up thirty one to three
- 37:07Speaker 1: on Organ State. Organ State might be one of the
- 37:09Speaker 1: worst teams in the country. They had they had won
- 37:11Speaker 1: one game this season against Southern Utah. The thirty one
- 37:14Speaker 1: to three in the third quarter. That's seventy year touchedo
- 37:17Speaker 1: around first play of the of the second half of
- 37:21Speaker 1: three at home. They lose it overtime, forty one to
- 37:24Speaker 1: thirty four. You don't recover from that game. You don't.
- 37:27Speaker 1: Arizona beat a ranked organ team that the didn't beat them.
- 37:30Speaker 1: They demolish the ranked Organ team to fifteen at home
- 37:33Speaker 1: this weekend. Now they get a Friday night game. Two songs.
- 37:36Speaker 1: A tough place to play is loud there. It gets
- 37:37Speaker 1: a little rowdy. Uh. They like to drink a lot
- 37:40Speaker 1: in that in that in that college campus. Um and
- 37:44Speaker 1: Tait's playing better. They're starting to get the offense down.
- 37:46Speaker 1: I feel like Colorado just their seasons over. They're not
- 37:49Speaker 1: coming back from that loss. You there's no way you can.
- 37:53Speaker 1: But I'm just excited. That will be dead on Friday nights,
- 37:56Speaker 1: so I don't have think about it for the rest
- 37:57Speaker 1: of the weekend. It actually will be dead Sunday morning
- 38:00Speaker 1: with Saturday morning when you wake up because you're not
- 38:02Speaker 1: watching this game. No, no, I'll be asleep. Yeah, you'll
- 38:05Speaker 1: be asleep. I'll be If you don't like it, throw
- 38:08Speaker 1: challenge flag, then I'll be in a theater space rehearsing. Chad,
- 38:12Speaker 1: you should go to two soon. There's one place to go.
- 38:15Speaker 1: You know the name of it is dirt bags. Yeah,
- 38:20Speaker 1: so the baseball players are at dirt bags our own
- 38:23Speaker 1: Lauren Joffey wildcat. She's been in the dirt bags many times.
- 38:29Speaker 1: So you throw a challenge flog. If you don't like this,
- 38:31Speaker 1: then I actually love this pick. What do I listen to?
- 38:34Speaker 1: What do I know about the pack twelve? I've already stayed.
- 38:36Speaker 1: I've already made the case like staying up till late
- 38:40Speaker 1: at night and watch Organ lose. I think finally last
- 38:43Speaker 1: week the rich rod like smell went finally went away,
- 38:48Speaker 1: and I think someone extension has gone like someone finally.
- 38:52Speaker 1: The last couple of weeks, he was a backup quarterback
- 38:55Speaker 1: and almost beat U c l A. Tate comes back,
- 38:58Speaker 1: has his best game this season. He looked completely helping
- 39:00Speaker 1: and he's right. They boat raced Oregon last week. I
- 39:05Speaker 1: have a bunk to pick, by the way, with your
- 39:06Speaker 1: sun devils, they screwed me royally. The same thing happened, Chad.
- 39:10Speaker 1: The same thing happened with Todd Gurley. Um happened in
- 39:15Speaker 1: the Arizona State game, but the opposite I needed. I
- 39:17Speaker 1: needed a second half under to cover the under their
- 39:20Speaker 1: loss for the game because they scored to two times
- 39:24Speaker 1: off a turnover and nine five yard punt return where
- 39:27Speaker 1: the where the runner start at once, I felt right
- 39:29Speaker 1: across the field down the sideline, So I just needed
- 39:31Speaker 1: them Arizona State at a fourth, third and one s
- 39:34Speaker 1: he had no time outs left. All that to do
- 39:36Speaker 1: was just get a first down and fall down. The
- 39:38Speaker 1: quarterback runs into for a touchdown in the same stadium,
- 39:41Speaker 1: and the coloseum was it was, I don't like yourself.
- 39:44Speaker 1: I'm not betting on some devils anymore. It sounds like
- 39:47Speaker 1: you're chasing a little bit. You're chasing the second half.
- 39:49Speaker 1: Oh I was second half. The best part was is
- 39:53Speaker 1: I got the text that wasn't like a text like
- 39:56Speaker 1: they screwed me. He sent me the text attached with
- 39:58Speaker 1: the tweet Chad, so I could read his tweet. So
- 40:01Speaker 1: I just don't want have to explain myself again. I
- 40:03Speaker 1: just said, like, you screwed me. That's so funny. Hi Polly,
- 40:08Speaker 1: We're going with it. We're doing it. UM craptastic college bet. Oh,
- 40:14Speaker 1: this is the best bet. This is the moral lock
- 40:16Speaker 1: of the week. Penn State plus ten at Michigan. First
- 40:21Speaker 1: of all, I don't even know how Michigan is a
- 40:23Speaker 1: ten point favorite against Penn State. Penn State lost the
- 40:26Speaker 1: game against Ohio State. They should have never lost. That
- 40:29Speaker 1: was a joke of a loss. They took it into
- 40:32Speaker 1: next week to lose to Michigan State. They came back,
- 40:35Speaker 1: they beat Penn State, and you know what, I was
- 40:38Speaker 1: a very very underrated, very good team and they were
- 40:42Speaker 1: on a role coming in. Penn State held them off.
- 40:45Speaker 1: And now they gotta go to Michigan UM. And everybody's
- 40:49Speaker 1: talking about Michigan might have the best defense UM in
- 40:52Speaker 1: the nation, but they just really don't blow anybody out.
- 40:55Speaker 1: I mean, I understand they beat Michigan State, but they
- 40:57Speaker 1: don't score points. They don't have a good enough officainse.
- 40:59Speaker 1: What's Wisconsin is not good, Maryland is not good, Northwestern
- 41:03Speaker 1: is not good, Nebraska is not good. S m U
- 41:06Speaker 1: is not good. Western Michigan is not good. They have
- 41:08Speaker 1: not played anybody with quality. And I'm getting ten points
- 41:12Speaker 1: with Penn State that that is an absolute joke to
- 41:16Speaker 1: that line. Is that high? Well, the one thing that
- 41:21Speaker 1: the Neutrals is good defense is a running quarterback, and
- 41:23Speaker 1: we've seen Trading Story in the second half of games
- 41:25Speaker 1: really take over with his legs and so you can
- 41:28Speaker 1: be as good of a defense as you want, but
- 41:30Speaker 1: it's hard to defend a quarterback that can do um
- 41:33Speaker 1: multiple things. I mean, we've seen even Alabama. Alabama's downfall
- 41:37Speaker 1: times on defense has been the dual threat quarterback. If
- 41:40Speaker 1: you have if you do one thing well, they'll take
- 41:42Speaker 1: it away. But if you have a quarterback that can
- 41:43Speaker 1: do both. And not every team matches this year that
- 41:45Speaker 1: has a great defense. But um, I do think ten
- 41:48Speaker 1: points is an awful lot here from Michigan, who uh,
- 41:51Speaker 1: offensively never really has been great under Harball. They really
- 41:55Speaker 1: are good. Defensively, they're really good. But um, I mean,
- 41:58Speaker 1: Penn State can score enough points to keep this games.
- 42:00Speaker 1: Are you ready? No, I can tell him, we're not
- 42:03Speaker 1: ready for this, but sure give me the Baker Mayfield
- 42:07Speaker 1: plus eight against the Kansas City Chiefs at home coming
- 42:11Speaker 1: knew it. Save the best for last? Is Nick Chebb
- 42:18Speaker 1: gonna get the ball fifty times? Because that's the only
- 42:21Speaker 1: way they cover fifty times. You gotta take a it's
- 42:25Speaker 1: a home dog eight points. You gotta get it. I
- 42:28Speaker 1: get it, I get I get it, huge, Huge, How
- 42:30Speaker 1: does your huge ax to keep his job away? He's coached.
- 42:35Speaker 1: The post conferences that he does too are just mind
- 42:38Speaker 1: but they're so arrogant. He's just he's so arrogant. Like
- 42:40Speaker 1: where do you get this arrogans from you? Your three
- 42:43Speaker 1: and thirty seven is a head coach? Like, where do
- 42:45Speaker 1: you get the arrogans from man? Guys? Are you with me?
- 42:48Speaker 1: He was a good player. We got it to chang.
- 42:51Speaker 1: We generally I try not to bet on Chiefs games,
- 42:54Speaker 1: but um, that's right, that's what you want to take.
- 42:57Speaker 1: I sort of like, listen, there's like if the two teams,
- 43:00Speaker 1: like the Rams golf showed a little bit, he was
- 43:05Speaker 1: off a tiny bit. Mahomes, they can't be perfect every week.
- 43:10Speaker 1: The worry that you have been against these two teams.
- 43:12Speaker 1: They can put up twenty one points in like in
- 43:14Speaker 1: three minutes. But I get it. It's in Cleveland. They
- 43:17Speaker 1: should be able to put some pressure on him, you know,
- 43:20Speaker 1: especially at home. I'm sure Williams will go after him. Uh.
- 43:25Speaker 1: They need to start scoring points. They and if they're
- 43:27Speaker 1: ever gonna do it, they should do it on this
- 43:28Speaker 1: defense at home. I guess it shouldn't should be freezing,
- 43:32Speaker 1: I would think in Cleveland. Yeah, I don't know if
- 43:34Speaker 1: Pat Mahomes can be able to hold the ball. Here
- 43:41Speaker 1: we go, guys, we gotta parlay. Are you ready? You
- 43:43Speaker 1: want to hear it? Yes? New Orleans Saints plus one
- 43:47Speaker 1: against the Los Angeles Rams. Tennessee Titans plus six against Dallas.
- 43:51Speaker 1: I love that pick. Washington Redskins minus one versus the
- 43:54Speaker 1: Atlanta Falcons they are in Washington. Tampa Bay plus seven
- 43:59Speaker 1: versus the Carolina at Baltimore minus three against the Steelers,
- 44:04Speaker 1: the l A Chargers on the road at Seattle one
- 44:08Speaker 1: point dogs. L A Chargers plus one, Arizona Wildcats minus four,
- 44:14Speaker 1: pack twelve after dark Friday night versus the Colorado Buffaloes.
- 44:18Speaker 1: Penn State Nitney Lions plus ten against the anemic offense
- 44:22Speaker 1: yet stellar defense of the Michigan Wolverines. But Cleveland Browns
- 44:28Speaker 1: at home eight point underdogs versus the high flying Kansas
- 44:35Speaker 1: City chiefs rub it in, Chad. Yeah, but the Charlotte
- 44:42Speaker 1: forty Niners beat Southern miss plus two points, like I
- 44:47Speaker 1: told Chad, like I told Jeff Schwortz, they would. That's
- 44:49Speaker 1: a core. Yeah, Here's what I want people to do.
- 44:54Speaker 1: Are you ready? As everybody knows, We're gonna put twenty
- 44:58Speaker 1: dollars each on this nine team parley. If you do
- 45:02Speaker 1: the same, you will win nineteen thousand dollars generally generally
- 45:10Speaker 1: dollars depending on the juice or whatever. The beauty of this.
- 45:16Speaker 1: This has been our podcast, folks. I am Chad Mollman
