- 0:00Speaker 1: All right, Monday, fun day. One week in the books
- 0:02Speaker 1: here in college football. Week two almost upon us. Of course,
- 0:07Speaker 1: the NFL season. It is the best betting show ever
- 0:10Speaker 1: on WagerTalk TV. Joe Ranieri, Art DeCesar, and even though
- 0:15Speaker 1: we celebrate a press-free zone... Brian Powers here as well
- 0:20Speaker 1: on a Monday. I kid. I mean, you and your
- 0:23Speaker 1: veloce sweatsuit. Who doesn't love that on a Monday in
- 0:25Speaker 1: football season? Good to see you, BP. Not really. Gentlemen,
- 0:30Speaker 1: let's kick it off right off the bat here and
- 0:32Speaker 1: see exactly how did the books do over the weekend, Art?
- 0:37Speaker 1: Was it good for them? Not good for them? Some favorites,
- 0:40Speaker 1: big favorites covered. Some overs were good. But all in all,
- 0:45Speaker 1: what did we get from the books this weekend?
- 0:48Speaker 2: When I talked to a couple of my guys around town,
- 0:50Speaker 2: they said, hey, listen, it was great to have football back.
- 0:52Speaker 3: The energy was back in the rooms.
- 0:54Speaker 2: You know, some places felt it was maybe even a
- 0:57Speaker 2: little bit lower of a handle than normal, but I
- 1:00Speaker 2: don't know if maybe that, you know, is because the
- 1:02Speaker 2: week one games weren't that great. You know, obviously next
- 1:06Speaker 2: week will be back to, you know, standard as usual
- 1:09Speaker 2: once you get the NFL in there. I would say
- 1:12Speaker 2: the books had a winning day or a winning weekend because,
- 1:15Speaker 2: you you know, football comes back and you got a
- 1:17Speaker 2: lot of Joe public in there throwing their money around.
- 1:19Speaker 3: So that's always going to help the books.
- 1:22Speaker 1: Yeah, that certainly is there. BP, what did you notice
- 1:25Speaker 1: over the weekend? Anything?
- 1:28Speaker 4: Oh, I noticed a few things that, you know, it's interesting.
- 1:30Speaker 4: Art says it was a winning weekend for the books.
- 1:31Speaker 4: Obviously one of the big stories was LSU just completely
- 1:35Speaker 4: taking Clemson behind the woodshed. I imagine that was probably
- 1:38Speaker 4: not one of the better books results are the lane
- 1:42Speaker 4: train rolling in and easily covering that number.
- 1:46Speaker 1: In Death Valley.
- 1:47Speaker 4: But no, other than that, look, there were some teams
- 1:50Speaker 4: that widely exceeded my expectations. There were some teams that
- 1:54Speaker 4: fell short. I'm sure we'll talk about that here, Joe,
- 1:56Speaker 4: on the program. And I just can't wait to talk
- 1:58Speaker 4: about it with you more than anybody in the world.
- 2:01Speaker 1: Yeah, Art and I will cover that. I'm not sure
- 2:02Speaker 1: your audio is going to work much longer. But Art,
- 2:07Speaker 1: we also had a full weekend of Major League Baseball.
- 2:11Speaker 1: I still am not any closer to figuring out exactly
- 2:15Speaker 1: who is qualifying for the playoffs and who is not.
- 2:19Speaker 1: This is going to be just like a turtle to
- 2:22Speaker 1: the finish line here on who's going to be. It's
- 2:25Speaker 1: the best of the rest. I mean, it's awful. It
- 2:27Speaker 1: really is, especially in American League.
- 2:30Speaker 3: Oh, it's going to be a.
- 2:31Speaker 2: Rock fight to the end, but what I think is nice,
- 2:33Speaker 2: especially for us who love baseball day in and day out,
- 2:36Speaker 2: a lot of meaningful games. These games are going to
- 2:38Speaker 2: be meaningful for the last 15 or 20 games, whatever
- 2:40Speaker 2: it is, and.
- 2:43Speaker 3: It's going to be great.
- 2:44Speaker 2: It's going to be fun to handicap them, fun to
- 2:45Speaker 2: look at them and fun to talk about a lot
- 2:47Speaker 2: of them. And I think, you know, a lot of us, oh, I,
- 2:50Speaker 2: you know, I think you were on board, Joe, but
- 2:52Speaker 2: you know, yourself and Prez and, you know, we kind
- 2:56Speaker 2: of felt the Blue Jays were going to make a
- 2:57Speaker 2: move here and the Blue Jays are sitting there now.
- 3:00Speaker 2: They kind of look like they're going to be the
- 3:01Speaker 2: last team in there. So obviously a long way to go,
- 3:04Speaker 2: but I think the Blue Jays have made their move.
- 3:07Speaker 1: Yeah, I want to thank Garrett Cole, too, for throwing
- 3:10Speaker 1: batting practice to start that game yesterday. That was a
- 3:13Speaker 1: lot of fun as the Padres beat the Yankees 4-3.
- 3:17Speaker 1: Just keep giving up home runs, Cole. That's great. Wonderful
- 3:20Speaker 1: stuff there. All right, let's talk about some sharp bets
- 3:23Speaker 1: here are today. What are you seeing? Anything across the board?
- 3:29Speaker 2: Obviously, a lot of early baseball with Labor Day, so
- 3:31Speaker 2: you get a lot of nice early baseball going on.
- 3:34Speaker 2: They're on two sides. They're on the Orioles and they're.
- 3:36Speaker 4: On the Marlins.
- 3:37Speaker 1: Orioles and the Marlins here, which I guess kind of
- 3:40Speaker 1: makes some sense here. Anything on this SMU-Florida State game
- 3:45Speaker 1: here tonight? I mean, it was... I saw it as
- 3:47Speaker 1: high as 3.5, I think. Then it came back down
- 3:50Speaker 1: to 3. There might be some 2.5s floating around still.
- 3:54Speaker 1: What are you seeing with that?
- 3:56Speaker 2: It's definitely, you know, listen, once you sit on a
- 3:58Speaker 2: 3 or a 7, you're in that range of a
- 4:00Speaker 2: key number. They're always going to take the 3.5 and
- 4:03Speaker 2: the 3. Once it dips to 2.5, you get the buyback, so...
- 4:06Speaker 2: This is one of those games you see really good
- 4:08Speaker 2: two-way action for bookmakers. But I also would think very
- 4:11Speaker 2: public is going to be SMU. And when people are
- 4:14Speaker 2: grabbing three and a half, that's obviously sharp. So anyone
- 4:17Speaker 2: who grabbed FSU at three and a half, clearly that's
- 4:19Speaker 2: a sharp side.
- 4:21Speaker 1: I mean, 53 and a half, I think it opened.
- 4:23Speaker 1: What are you saying? 54, even 55s coming up there
- 4:28Speaker 1: as well. I just don't know whether or not we
- 4:31Speaker 1: trust Florida State's offense to participate enough in this one.
- 4:35Speaker 1: Or what are you thinking?
- 4:37Speaker 4: Well, a lot of these big national TV games we've seen,
- 4:40Speaker 4: LSU being the exception, a lot of these have come
- 4:43Speaker 4: out slow. I think if you like it under here,
- 4:45Speaker 4: maybe you look at the first half under. Joe, thoughts there?
- 4:50Speaker 4: Feel free to agree or disagree. But, you know, in
- 4:53Speaker 4: terms of the spread, Art mentioned, you know, making sure
- 4:56Speaker 4: to grab the key number. This is one of those
- 4:58Speaker 4: matchups I hate because– And Joe, you especially know that
- 5:04Speaker 4: every fiber of my being wants to go with Florida State.
- 5:06Speaker 4: Everyone's doubting them. Everyone's telling Norvell to get out of town.
- 5:10Speaker 4: But I make a power rating on this game. And
- 5:13Speaker 4: at two and a half, I certainly can't take Florida
- 5:15Speaker 4: State here. Even at three, I don't love the Noles here.
- 5:20Speaker 4: This is one of those deals where you have a
- 5:23Speaker 4: team that played in week zero, Florida State, against a
- 5:26Speaker 4: team playing its season opener. Traditionally, The team playing the
- 5:31Speaker 4: season opener has had the ATS edge, although that trend
- 5:35Speaker 4: in FBS games this weekend went just one and two.
- 5:41Speaker 4: So something to chew on there.
- 5:42Speaker 1: Remember when Florida State and Tallahassee had like just it
- 5:45Speaker 1: was impossible to win a game there? Remember those days?
- 5:49Speaker 3: 80 straight games. Yeah.
- 5:51Speaker 1: Just remember those days, how much fun that was? And
- 5:54Speaker 1: now there's Norvell. Unbelievable. Well, that's all right. Enjoy it now, Norvell.
- 5:58Speaker 1: You'll get your ass handed here, and then you and
- 6:01Speaker 1: Shiano will be battling for who the first coach being
- 6:04Speaker 1: fired is. All right. Let's talk parlay of the day here, gentlemen.
- 6:09Speaker 1: You and I, I believe, hit... On Friday there, a
- 6:14Speaker 1: little two-team Moneyline parlay got it done. BP claims he
- 6:19Speaker 1: got something right sometime. I don't know when it was.
- 6:22Speaker 1: You were mumbling about something earlier. What was it, BP?
- 6:26Speaker 1: Was it you were right last week?
- 6:29Speaker 4: Yes, last week on the show, I got my parlay
- 6:31Speaker 4: leg right. I didn't receive any sort of congratulatory text
- 6:34Speaker 4: from you, Joe.
- 6:37Speaker 1: Yeah, Art, do we have any record of him being right?
- 6:40Speaker 1: I don't. No, I don't see anything. So, all right, BP, listen,
- 6:45Speaker 1: if you say so, we'll take your word for it.
- 6:47Speaker 1: So you get to start it off this week now
- 6:49Speaker 1: and tell us what's the first leg of this three-team
- 6:52Speaker 1: Moneyline parlay today.
- 6:56Speaker 4: Let's go with the Braves at plus money. Lizardo's A
- 7:00Speaker 4: is better at home than it is on the road.
- 7:04Speaker 4: I think that keeps them even through the first few innings.
- 7:07Speaker 4: They have a better bullpen. I think they're a better team.
- 7:09Speaker 4: They had a nice come-from-behind win on Sunday. So, let's
- 7:13Speaker 4: throw an underdog into this free team.
- 7:15Speaker 1: Atlanta Braves. I think you said Braves, Art, but honestly,
- 7:19Speaker 1: I just stopped listening. Okay, go ahead. What did you
- 7:23Speaker 1: get there, Art? What are you looking at, man?
- 7:26Speaker 2: I'm going to take my man Logan Webb. Give me
- 7:28Speaker 2: the Giants. We'll take the full game, but Giants at home.
- 7:34Speaker 1: I want to go with Thong. Oh, Tong, sorry. I
- 7:37Speaker 1: read that wrong. It's Tong. Sorry against the Marlins. Uri Perez, though,
- 7:42Speaker 1: at home has been tough, but I'm seeing nothing but
- 7:46Speaker 1: Met money. But give me Miami. Give me Uri Perez
- 7:50Speaker 1: and the Marlins. Finally, they didn't get swept by the
- 7:52Speaker 1: Cubs yesterday, which was nice. And Uri's been really good
- 7:56Speaker 1: at home here at Lone Depot Park. So I'll take
- 7:59Speaker 1: the Marlins here to get it done in this one.
- 8:02Speaker 1: Is that okay, BP? You all right with that? Yeah, okay.
- 8:07Speaker 1: I don't know what that means. Okay, so let's go
- 8:11Speaker 1: to predictive markets. Instead of actually the predictive markets, why
- 8:16Speaker 1: don't we do a little quick what we learned here.
- 8:21Speaker 1: Something we learned from this past weekend about a team
- 8:25Speaker 1: or anything that we can take and use in week
- 8:29Speaker 1: two here, BP. You had a Couple of thoughts there.
- 8:33Speaker 1: I mean, Michigan now, after lucking out, has to head
- 8:37Speaker 1: and take on OU. I don't know if that's a
- 8:40Speaker 1: good thing or a bad thing. What did you learn
- 8:43Speaker 1: this weekend?
- 8:45Speaker 4: Bryce Underwood's still not any good. I saw you, Joe. Joe,
- 8:48Speaker 4: you've got a little bit chattier on the Twitter machine, I've.
- 8:51Speaker 1: Noticed, over the weekends.
- 8:52Speaker 4: I enjoy that. And I saw you reference that Kyle
- 8:56Speaker 4: Whittingham had the look of a man who perhaps... Wish
- 8:59Speaker 4: he would have just retired and take this job. And
- 9:01Speaker 4: I kind of concur with that assessment. Look, it's been
- 9:04Speaker 4: a big line move in that Michigan-Oklahoma game, but I
- 9:07Speaker 4: think it's a justified line move. You're going to hear
- 9:09Speaker 4: all week long how Michigan was a two-and-a-half point favorite
- 9:11Speaker 4: on the look-ahead line. And now look at where the
- 9:13Speaker 4: line– I agree with oddsmakers moving. I talked to Art. Joe,
- 9:17Speaker 4: you were part of this as well before the show.
- 9:19Speaker 4: I said, look, you got to get aggressive sometimes with
- 9:22Speaker 4: these line moves based on what you see. Just because
- 9:24Speaker 4: we think we know something before the season starts doesn't
- 9:27Speaker 4: mean– We necessarily do. And I mean, even before Michigan
- 9:30Speaker 4: completed the miraculous Hail Mary to beat Western Michigan, I'm thinking,
- 9:35Speaker 4: how is this team going to score on Oklahoma? So
- 9:38Speaker 4: they're in my opinion, that's a justified move in the
- 9:42Speaker 4: market that they're now getting almost a touchdown at home
- 9:44Speaker 4: against the Sooners. And then LSU mentioned him a couple
- 9:48Speaker 4: of times already. This is a team. On the SEC
- 9:50Speaker 4: preview on the morning wager, on the live edition of
- 9:52Speaker 4: the Blitz on Saturday, I said this was a team
- 9:55Speaker 4: that you would want to bet to make the college
- 9:57Speaker 4: football playoff. And boy, howdy. did they look like a
- 10:01Speaker 4: playoff team. I know the game may have passed Dabo
- 10:03Speaker 4: by at this point, but still.
- 10:05Speaker 1: LSU, man.
- 10:07Speaker 4: There was only two SEC teams that were odds-on to
- 10:09Speaker 4: make the playoff preseason. LSU, I know you don't want
- 10:13Speaker 4: to put too much stock in one game, but... They
- 10:16Speaker 4: get Alabama and Texas at home, guys. LSU, I think,
- 10:20Speaker 4: is going to make some noise, no doubt about it.
- 10:25Speaker 1: Is he done, Art? Is he done? I asked for
- 10:29Speaker 1: one thing, and he's going to just diatribe across about
- 10:32Speaker 1: guys retiring. BP, and I agree with everything that you said. Art,
- 10:39Speaker 1: talk to me here, man. Give me one thing that
- 10:41Speaker 1: you pulled away from this weekend.
- 10:44Speaker 2: Yeah, just to piggyback on Brian, it's over for Clemson. Dabo,
- 10:47Speaker 2: we'll see you later. I was up late watching UCLA,
- 10:51Speaker 2: and Joe, I know you were on them, and you
- 10:53Speaker 2: liked them coming into the year. UCLA's fun. Their offense
- 10:56Speaker 2: is always great. The quarterback, who maybe now is kind of,
- 11:00Speaker 2: you know, Nico, he's found his ground, he's found his setting,
- 11:03Speaker 2: and he can play up to the level that we
- 11:04Speaker 2: all thought he could be, and their coach is awesome.
- 11:07Speaker 2: I think UCLA, time and time again, week in and
- 11:09Speaker 2: week out, is going to be a team to keep
- 11:11Speaker 2: your eye on.
- 11:12Speaker 1: Yeah, I think the sky's the limit there. One thing
- 11:15Speaker 1: that I pulled away, one thing, Brian Power, this is
- 11:18Speaker 1: how you do it. You ready? One thing?
- 11:19Speaker 3: Okay.
- 11:20Speaker 1: One thing that I learned, okay, is Miami has the
- 11:24Speaker 1: best offense in the country, bar none.
- 11:27Speaker 4: Bar none.
- 11:28Speaker 1: They look like they have played half a season already,
- 11:32Speaker 1: and they are firing on all cylinders. Darian Menzel, Tony
- 11:37Speaker 1: are going to be All sorts of Heisman. Look, that
- 11:41Speaker 1: offense is humming. The defense will have more than enough
- 11:45Speaker 1: opportunities to figure it out. I mean, they were good.
- 11:47Speaker 1: They weren't anything crazy. But my goodness, it is going
- 11:50Speaker 1: to be fun to watch them play week in and
- 11:54Speaker 1: week out. Yes, BP, was that a hand raise? It was.
- 11:58Speaker 4: Because Art just mentioned UCLA. I agree the coaching upgrade
- 12:02Speaker 4: is significant with Foster to Chesney. UCLA just beat Cal.
- 12:07Speaker 4: Perhaps this is a way to segue into CFB Week 2. Joe,
- 12:10Speaker 4: I'm learning some of the podcasting techniques. Thank you for
- 12:13Speaker 4: all your teaching. But Syracuse is playing Cal next week.
- 12:17Speaker 4: Is that sharp money we're seeing on Q's? Art, I
- 12:20Speaker 4: know I'm putting you on the spot here. That was
- 12:22Speaker 4: a matchup I had circled here for Saturday. Syracuse and Cal.
- 12:27Speaker 2: Yeah, also, too, you know, I just will go there.
- 12:30Speaker 2: Let's go to week two. Some of the moves you've
- 12:32Speaker 2: already seen from Sunday Night Openers. You mentioned that game.
- 12:35Speaker 2: There was also some sharp money that came on the
- 12:37Speaker 2: over in that game, 54 and a half. They took
- 12:40Speaker 2: sharp money on the Oregon under. Some of the sides
- 12:42Speaker 2: that took money, Purdue at five, UCF eight and a half.
- 12:46Speaker 2: Then you saw some.
- 12:47Speaker 3: Of the big teams move.
- 12:48Speaker 2: Auburn moved from 28 and a half to 30 and
- 12:50Speaker 2: a half. LSU went from 32 and a half to
- 12:52Speaker 2: 34 and a half. So a couple of those early
- 12:55Speaker 2: Sunday moves, and we'll just keep running those down week
- 12:58Speaker 2: in and week out, day in and day out. Anything
- 13:00Speaker 2: I see, anything I hear, any of the early moves.
- 13:03Speaker 2: And listen, there could be buyback late in the week,
- 13:05Speaker 2: but some of those early moves are some of those
- 13:07Speaker 2: indicating groups that want to get in early. Limits are low,
- 13:11Speaker 2: but they still want to push their numbers.
- 13:15Speaker 1: Don't even get me started about Oklahoma State. Do not.
- 13:20Speaker 1: This game is in Stillwater against Oregon. Now, Oregon didn't
- 13:25Speaker 1: look like Oregon. But they did eventually figure it out.
- 13:29Speaker 1: And you two help me with this because I'm looking
- 13:32Speaker 1: at Boise State laying almost double digits against Memphis. I'm
- 13:36Speaker 1: trying to figure out, is Oregon worse than we think
- 13:40Speaker 1: and Boise State is better than we think? Or was
- 13:43Speaker 1: just Oregon having a tough day there and Boise State
- 13:48Speaker 1: played above their head? Because... Taking the eight and a half, nine,
- 13:52Speaker 1: I mean, that is a home field advantage at Boise
- 13:56Speaker 1: State worth a few extra points there. But you tell me, BP,
- 14:01Speaker 1: was Boise State just undervalued against Oregon? Or do they
- 14:08Speaker 1: have letdown now against Memphis coming in here? Yeah, I
- 14:12Speaker 1: think they were undervalued. I upgraded them a little bit
- 14:14Speaker 1: here after the result.
- 14:15Speaker 4: You know, we saw a lot of the G6 teams
- 14:17Speaker 4: just not be able to compete going the road against
- 14:20Speaker 4: these power four opponents. We all understand the gap is
- 14:23Speaker 4: widening with every season in this NIL era when you
- 14:27Speaker 4: look at those matchups. But yeah, I upgraded Boise. It's
- 14:31Speaker 4: a very interesting game. Obviously, Memphis with two wins under
- 14:35Speaker 4: its belt already. And it does look like a big number,
- 14:39Speaker 4: doesn't it? Memphis, I don't know. Maybe they might be
- 14:42Speaker 4: a public dog this week.
- 14:43Speaker 1: I'm looking.
- 14:44Speaker 4: I actually made a note next to that line. Monitor this.
- 14:48Speaker 4: That's a matchup I have my eye on for Saturday.
- 14:52Speaker 1: A note? Are you writing things down? Yes.
- 14:55Speaker 4: Oh, okay.
- 14:57Speaker 1: Ralph, he taught me. That's impressive stuff there.
- 15:00Speaker 4: Every Saturday on the Blitz.
- 15:02Speaker 1: That's impressive stuff there. All right, gentlemen, we've got NFL Wednesday, obviously, Thursday.
- 15:10Speaker 1: We've got week one is back. We've got some Major
- 15:13Speaker 1: League Baseball games we're going to get to. But it's time.
- 15:18Speaker 1: Look at the president of Leotard, don't worry. I mean,
- 15:20Speaker 1: you just love that. I mean, that's the, did he
- 15:22Speaker 1: shave his chest for this? I have no idea. So
- 15:25Speaker 1: let's check it out here. Art, talk to us, man.
- 15:28Speaker 1: What do you got going on over at wager talk.com?
- 15:33Speaker 3: Joe, we still giving that a vest out to a
- 15:35Speaker 3: lucky listener.
- 15:36Speaker 1: Yes.
- 15:37Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 15:37Speaker 1: It's autographed. I don't think he's washed it either. Oh, good.
- 15:39Speaker 1: That makes anybody feel better. Game sweat. I like this.
- 15:43Speaker 3: Perfect.
- 15:46Speaker 2: Listen, it was a nice weekend. Still been putting up
- 15:48Speaker 2: baseball plays daily, so don't forget the baseball. You know,
- 15:51Speaker 2: good three and two start to the college football season.
- 15:53Speaker 2: So just go check me out, wt.buzz.ab.
- 15:56Speaker 1: All right, BP, you're up. What do you got going on?
- 15:59Speaker 4: Hopefully you guys are watching this early. I got a
- 16:02Speaker 4: two-for-one special on Labor Day. Get my Major League Baseball
- 16:05Speaker 4: best bet, my soccer best bet, two-for-one, $ 29, wt.buzz.ab. Did
- 16:10Speaker 4: cash a 5% winner over in Germany, Joe. over the
- 16:14Speaker 4: weekend in the Bundesliga with Freiburg. I know you were
- 16:16Speaker 4: on board with me there.
- 16:18Speaker 1: Bundes. What did he say? I'm sorry. Did he say something?
- 16:22Speaker 1: I can't figure out what he said. Did he say
- 16:24Speaker 1: something about Bundesliga? Talking soccer on a Monday. Yeah, he
- 16:27Speaker 1: went soccer on a Monday, which I would expect nothing
- 16:31Speaker 1: less there. So baseball and football on tap for me
- 16:35Speaker 1: over on my page at wagertalk.com. Let's get ready for
- 16:40Speaker 1: NFL action because I, too, have a game that I'm
- 16:43Speaker 1: getting ready to post here this afternoon in the NFL
- 16:46Speaker 1: week one. Interesting spot here to kick it all off here, guys,
- 16:52Speaker 1: in the NFL. We got New England and Seattle on Wednesday, Thursday.
- 16:58Speaker 1: I think these teams have been in Australia, it feels like,
- 17:01Speaker 1: for a little while. At least the 49ers left early.
- 17:04Speaker 1: The Rams did not. The Rams kind of wanted to
- 17:07Speaker 1: try to fly in and get the hell out. And
- 17:10Speaker 1: the 49ers were taking the approach of we're going to
- 17:14Speaker 1: try to assimilate here to this clock change and give
- 17:17Speaker 1: our guys a few days to do so. I don't
- 17:20Speaker 1: know if one works better than the other. I guess
- 17:22Speaker 1: we're going to see. But rematch time are New England
- 17:26Speaker 1: and Seattle. Are we seeing anything here in week one
- 17:30Speaker 1: as far as that line goes?
- 17:32Speaker 2: I mean, all the early stuff, you know, once again,
- 17:35Speaker 2: this is like the college football. These lines have been
- 17:36Speaker 2: up forever. So always remember that these lines have been
- 17:39Speaker 2: sitting there. for a long, long time. All the early
- 17:42Speaker 2: sharp stuff I saw was New England. You know, I
- 17:47Speaker 2: think Seattle will be very public. I think they'll start
- 17:49Speaker 2: off a lot of people's money line parlays for their
- 17:52Speaker 2: NFL football weeks. So I think that's something to keep
- 17:57Speaker 2: in mind. But I think you'll see really good two-way
- 17:58Speaker 2: action on this game.
- 17:59Speaker 1: BP, how about it? What are you seeing, my man,
- 18:02Speaker 1: here with this New England and Seattle game or 49ers
- 18:06Speaker 1: and Rams coming up here Wednesday and Thursday?
- 18:09Speaker 4: So I don't know if I'm going to involve in
- 18:11Speaker 4: either of those games, Joe, but I am going to
- 18:12Speaker 4: tell you this. A prop that I had promised to
- 18:15Speaker 4: bet all summer long is now available. I will be
- 18:18Speaker 4: posting that to my page this afternoon. People should check
- 18:22Speaker 4: back with that. If you've caught any of the shows
- 18:24Speaker 4: with me talking NFL Week 1, you know what it's
- 18:26Speaker 4: going to be. It involves Cam Ward. Spoiler alert. So
- 18:30Speaker 4: I can't wait to be able to give that out
- 18:34Speaker 4: finally now that I'm seeing a number. And I love
- 18:36Speaker 4: the number I'm getting here with. I was afraid that
- 18:39Speaker 4: everybody was on that.
- 18:41Speaker 1: Tua has been named quarterback, starting quarterback for the Atlanta
- 18:45Speaker 1: Falcons in week one. It only took Stefanski, I don't know,
- 18:50Speaker 1: you know, two months to figure out that, well, Pennix
- 18:53Speaker 1: can't play week one and Hooper Rush, you had to
- 18:56Speaker 1: sign off the scrap heap. So I guess Tua is it,
- 18:59Speaker 1: but he's finally made him the starting quarterback here. Is that, Art,
- 19:03Speaker 1: a good thing or a bad thing for the Falcons
- 19:06Speaker 1: in week one? I don't know.
- 19:10Speaker 2: The last time we had Prez out and we talked NFL,
- 19:12Speaker 2: I said I loved the Steelers in week one.
- 19:14Speaker 3: I know it's tough to lay three with them, but
- 19:16Speaker 3: Atlanta's a mess. I don't know. Their quarterback situation is
- 19:19Speaker 3: so bad.
- 19:20Speaker 2: You'd feel a lot better laying two and a half,
- 19:23Speaker 2: but i think pittsburgh's gonna win that game by seven
- 19:26Speaker 2: plus i don't see atlanta going in there and doing
- 19:29Speaker 2: anything offensively despite all their great weapons yeah i might
- 19:32Speaker 2: be smoking a.
- 19:32Speaker 1: Little bit you're getting a little something going on there
- 19:35Speaker 1: i'm just saying i'm just saying hold on.
- 19:38Speaker 3: Hold on me and aaron rogers had a little retreat.
- 19:41Speaker 1: We went dark yeah and that's that's what.
- 19:45Speaker 3: We did trust me there was a lot of that going.
- 19:48Speaker 1: Around yeah that was uh that's good there what are
- 19:50Speaker 1: you agreeing there bp is he got a little something
- 19:53Speaker 1: something going on or what do you think.
- 19:56Speaker 4: I feel for kevin stefanski guys here's a guy who
- 19:58Speaker 4: goes from cleveland to atlanta this guy can't get you
- 20:01Speaker 4: know he's an offensive guru he can't get a even
- 20:03Speaker 4: a mediocre quarterback room to work with. And you also
- 20:07Speaker 4: have to feel for Stefanski for another reason. Joey's got
- 20:09Speaker 4: Mark Zinno chasing him around.
- 20:11Speaker 1: Oh, that's a good point.
- 20:13Speaker 4: I mean, that's a tough gig right there, too.
- 20:16Speaker 1: That's terrible. Yeah, that's terrible.
- 20:18Speaker 4: Out of the fryer, into the frying pan for Stefanski.
- 20:21Speaker 1: Love it. All right, gentlemen, as always, Major League Baseball
- 20:26Speaker 1: rundown here. You guys said we got a lot of
- 20:29Speaker 1: afternoon baseball going on here. So what we'll do is
- 20:32Speaker 1: we'll just run down some of these games starting a
- 20:35Speaker 1: little bit later. Let's start, of course, BP Diamondbacks and Royals.
- 20:41Speaker 1: Noah Cameron on the mound. Law for the Diamondbacks. Diamondbacks
- 20:44Speaker 1: got to win some games. They just can't seem to
- 20:46Speaker 1: do it.
- 20:48Speaker 4: I wouldn't bet against the Royals here. Cameron's been great,
- 20:50Speaker 4: and the Royals score more at home.
- 20:52Speaker 1: Cubs Brewers here are another big one. Gasser versus Boyd
- 20:56Speaker 1: in this one.
- 20:58Speaker 3: Yeah, another big one. I like the Brewers at home.
- 21:00Speaker 3: It's a short price.
- 21:01Speaker 1: All right. Melton versus Joe Ryan back here. Finally healthy.
- 21:05Speaker 1: Can't trust that. I do like the Tigers in this
- 21:08Speaker 1: one here. And BP, the Nats, and the Padres. Pavetta
- 21:12Speaker 1: versus Irvin. I haven't seen Pavetta in a while here.
- 21:16Speaker 1: What are we thinking? Mm-hmm. Yeah.
- 21:20Speaker 4: Man, I don't know. Like, I mean, the price is
- 21:22Speaker 4: the price for a reason here.
- 21:24Speaker 1: Maybe a lot.
- 21:25Speaker 4: Washington gets up in this game. Maybe bet the Padres live.
- 21:29Speaker 4: They have a tremendous, tremendous bullpen edge in this matchup.
- 21:33Speaker 4: It's actually one of the bigger bullpen discrepancies you'll find
- 21:36Speaker 4: in Major League Baseball.
- 21:36Speaker 1: These two teams. All right, we've got the Cardinals and
- 21:39Speaker 1: the Giants there. Art McGreevy versus Logan Webb. Webb seems
- 21:44Speaker 1: to be giving up nine runs a shot. McGreevy is
- 21:47Speaker 1: a gas can. I want to go over, but this
- 21:50Speaker 1: is at night at Oracle Park.
- 21:54Speaker 2: Yeah, listen, the Giants were my play in the park
- 21:56Speaker 2: the other day. Got to stick with the Giants here.
- 21:57Speaker 2: I just like them with Webb, despite his struggles of recent.
- 22:01Speaker 1: Reds-Dodgers BP. Burns versus Sheehan here coming up 9 o'clock
- 22:07Speaker 1: here tonight. Minus 170 is there for the Dodgers.
- 22:12Speaker 4: I mean, this is the only time the Dodgers are
- 22:14Speaker 4: probably going to be less than minus 200 in the series,
- 22:16Speaker 4: but they've been painfully average for the last two months.
- 22:19Speaker 4: They have a run differential of exactly zero. over the
- 22:23Speaker 4: last two plus months, which that could be a case of, hey,
- 22:27Speaker 4: we're just waiting for the playoffs. I don't know how
- 22:28Speaker 4: much you want to read into it. But Chase Burns
- 22:31Speaker 4: gives the Reds a shot at least in the first five.
- 22:34Speaker 4: So I don't know if you're feeling frisky, maybe go
- 22:36Speaker 4: Reds first five. Another game, though, where the bullpen edge
- 22:39Speaker 4: is pretty substantial towards the Dodgers. The Reds bullpen kind
- 22:43Speaker 4: of sticks.
- 22:44Speaker 1: Good point. And Art Dillon sees on a mound for
- 22:47Speaker 1: the Blue Jays. Lopez for the Athletics. This game's in Sacramento.
- 22:52Speaker 1: Even in Sacramento, kind of hard to fade Dylan Cease, right? 100%.
- 22:57Speaker 2: You'd have to lay the run in half, lay the
- 22:59Speaker 2: half a run in the first five. Maybe look at
- 23:01Speaker 2: his strikeout prop as well.
- 23:04Speaker 3: Cease has been awesome.
- 23:05Speaker 1: Yeah, he has been. And there you got it. There
- 23:08Speaker 1: is your Major League Baseball rundown here on a Monday, guys.
