- 0:00Speaker 1: You're used to a raid by the feds or DHS
- 0:02Speaker 1: or the Justice Department under a Democrat administration where they
- 0:07Speaker 1: would give a sneak preview to CNN and CNN would
- 0:10Speaker 1: be like right there just by accident when the raid began.
- 0:14Speaker 1: That was when the raid was of Donald Trump or
- 0:17Speaker 1: a Trump administration or campaign official. Well, this time it
- 0:20Speaker 1: was Fox News that got the heads up. I wonder
- 0:22Speaker 1: how that happened.
- 0:23Speaker 2: This happened a little bit shortly after six o'clock this
- 0:26Speaker 2: morning here at Congresswoman Omar's home in Washington, D.C.
- 0:30Speaker 1: It's unclear if she's home at this time.
- 0:31Speaker 2: It does not appear so because we've been out here
- 0:34Speaker 2: for several hours now after this happened. You can see
- 0:37Speaker 2: on scene behind me. There are several investigators from Homeland
- 0:41Speaker 2: Security Investigations. I'm going to back out of the way.
- 0:44Speaker 2: Homeland Security Investigations, they go by HSI. They are on scene.
- 0:49Speaker 2: also told that DOJ involved in this investigation. We don't
- 0:52Speaker 2: have details, guys, specifically about what the investigation entails, but
- 0:56Speaker 2: we can report that it is a federal criminal investigation.
- 1:01Speaker 2: I want to read a statement from a DOJ spokesperson.
- 1:04Speaker 2: It says, quote, today in the Washington, D.C. area, Homeland
- 1:07Speaker 2: Security Investigations executed a judicially authorized search warrant and secured
- 1:12Speaker 2: by the Department of Justice. This enforcement action is part
- 1:16Speaker 2: of an ongoing federal criminal investigation. Again, we are out
- 1:20Speaker 2: here at the congresswoman's home in Washington, D.C. No public
- 1:24Speaker 2: comments from her at this time, but agents have been
- 1:27Speaker 2: out here for several hours, fairly quiet on the street
- 1:30Speaker 2: today on this Columbus Day here in Washington, D.C. A
- 1:33Speaker 2: couple of agents outside going in and out of the home,
- 1:37Speaker 2: but not a real strong presence But still no comment
- 1:40Speaker 2: from the congresswoman at this time. But we can confirm
- 1:43Speaker 2: she is under federal criminal investigation. I do want to
- 1:45Speaker 2: add one more thing, if I can, guys. A judge
- 1:48Speaker 2: did have to sign off on this search warrant. This
- 1:50Speaker 2: is not something DOJ or Homeland Security could just do
- 1:53Speaker 2: ad hoc. This is something a federal judge would have
- 1:56Speaker 2: had to sign off on for them behind me to
- 1:58Speaker 2: be here today.
- 2:00Speaker 3: So, David, we are reaching out to our sources. One
- 2:04Speaker 3: of our sources is telling us this is in connection
- 2:06Speaker 3: with a RICO investigation. My question is, since they've raided
- 2:11Speaker 3: the D.C. home, is Minnesota being raided at the same
- 2:15Speaker 3: time right now or do we know?
- 2:18Speaker 2: Yeah, we have no information on Minnesota. It's a question
- 2:21Speaker 2: we've asked nothing at this time. We obviously know she
- 2:23Speaker 2: lives in Minnesota. She may presumably be there right now.
- 2:26Speaker 2: That could be part of the investigation. But as far
- 2:29Speaker 2: as the D.C. angle of this, we just know the D.C.
- 2:32Speaker 2: home right now is part of this investigation.
- 2:34Speaker 1: Yeah, absolutely. And what's amazing to me about this entire
- 2:38Speaker 1: story is that, you know, people like, well, what could
- 2:40Speaker 1: this be? And the fact is, it could be a
- 2:42Speaker 1: whole lot of different things. Because Ilhan Omar is up
- 2:47Speaker 1: to her eyebrows in a whole lot of criminal allegations, right?
- 2:56Speaker 1: This could be about the missing $ 30 million or whatever
- 3:00Speaker 1: the dollar amount was that she claimed as money that
- 3:03Speaker 1: she had made in the prior year. And then she
- 3:06Speaker 1: resubmitted her financials and, oh, no, we didn't make anybody actually.
- 3:09Speaker 1: And the winery that we were making money off of
- 3:12Speaker 1: is now just an empty storefront and We've never heard
- 3:15Speaker 1: of Ilhan Omar and all of that jazz. This could
- 3:18Speaker 1: also be, of course, about Mark Wayne Mullen just a
- 3:20Speaker 1: month ago in Dallas telling our friend Betty Johnson that,
- 3:24Speaker 1: and I'm quoting Mark Wayne Mullen now, we know she
- 3:26Speaker 1: married her brother for immigration purposes. Now, that would explain
- 3:31Speaker 1: why Homeland Security is there, right? So it could be that.
- 3:35Speaker 1: It could be that. But then we heard it's a
- 3:36Speaker 1: RICO investigation, according to Lawrence Jacobs there on the curvy couch.
- 3:42Speaker 1: And maybe it's because There are connections between Ilhan Omar
- 3:46Speaker 1: and Feeding Our Future, that Somali-American front group. of people
- 3:51Speaker 1: who were defrauding the federal government for tons of money.
- 3:55Speaker 1: We've already got the leader who had connections to Ilhan
- 3:58Speaker 1: Omar going to jail for all of that fraud. And
- 4:00Speaker 1: there are suggestions that money from that fraudulent activity went
- 4:04Speaker 1: back to Somalia to terror groups. Maybe that's what's going
- 4:07Speaker 1: on here. That's the thing. I mean, pick your poison.
- 4:10Speaker 1: It could be a ton of different things going on here.
- 4:13Speaker 1: Why wasn't Ilhan Omar there? Well, of course, because she's
- 4:17Speaker 1: He's celebrating Indigenous Peoples Day today. So you couldn't expect
- 4:20Speaker 1: her to show up in D.C. Here's one of the
- 4:23Speaker 1: investigators there. Fox Digital started talking to him outside Ilhan
- 4:27Speaker 1: Omar's house. It seems to be a lot of police
- 4:31Speaker 1: activity here. Can you let me know what's going on? No,
- 4:34Speaker 1: just police activity. There won't be too much.
- 4:37Speaker 3: Are you from the neighborhood?
- 4:39Speaker 2: Yes.
- 4:40Speaker 4: I'm just trying to walk up the street.
- 4:42Speaker 1: Do you live in the neighborhood? I'm visiting a friend
- 4:45Speaker 1: over there.
- 4:46Speaker 5: Okay.
- 4:47Speaker 1: Well, I would suggest.
- 4:48Speaker 3: You mean you're visiting a friend right now?
- 4:52Speaker 1: Yes. Is there a reason you're videotaping me?
- 4:55Speaker 6: Yes.
- 4:55Speaker 1: I just want to know what's going on.
- 4:57Speaker 2: Okay.
- 4:58Speaker 1: Police activity.
- 4:59Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 5:00Speaker 1: But this is... What does HSI stand for? Homeland Security.
- 5:05Speaker 1: So is this a raid? Like an illegal immigration raid?
- 5:10Speaker 8: No.
- 5:11Speaker 1: It's not, but I just told you it's police activity.
- 5:14Speaker 6: Yes.
- 5:15Speaker 1: I've asked you three times. I'd appreciate it if you'd
- 5:17Speaker 1: bring the camera down. I can't stop you. There's a
- 5:19Speaker 1: congresswoman who rents or lives a house. Her name's Congresswoman
- 5:24Speaker 1: Ilhan Omar. Are you guys raiding her house? I'm not
- 5:27Speaker 1: going to discuss anything. All right.
- 5:30Speaker 9: Thank you, sir.
- 5:31Speaker 10: You have a good day.
- 5:32Speaker 1: You too. By the way, I don't know if that's
- 5:33Speaker 1: a Fox Digital cameraman or if they obtained that video
- 5:37Speaker 1: from Fox Digital, although I do want to show you
- 5:39Speaker 1: this part. I don't know if you caught it or not,
- 5:42Speaker 1: as they were showing the sidewalk where this took place.
- 5:44Speaker 1: You'll see the sign there out in front of either
- 5:46Speaker 1: Ilhan Omar's house or in front of her neighbor's house.
- 5:50Speaker 1: Stop the genocide. Free Palestine. The Medicare annual enrollment period
- 5:56Speaker 1: is here. Most Medicare plans change every year and many
- 6:00Speaker 1: go away entirely. Now you have from October 15th till
- 6:04Speaker 1: December 7th to get on the right 2027 Medicare plan
- 6:08Speaker 1: for you. And this means for your parents as well, guys. Now,
- 6:12Speaker 1: even if you're happy with your current plan, it's critical
- 6:14Speaker 1: to review 2027 options. Every year, millions of people end
- 6:18Speaker 1: up stuck on the wrong plan for their needs, which
- 6:21Speaker 1: means they're overpaying for care or worse, they're not able
- 6:24Speaker 1: to get the care they need. So this is why
- 6:27Speaker 1: I recommend you call my trusted Medicare partner, Chapter. They're
- 6:31Speaker 1: the only advisor that looks at every plan nationwide to
- 6:34Speaker 1: make sure you have the best plan for your specific situation.
- 6:38Speaker 1: Their support is free. And they can review your options
- 6:41Speaker 1: in under 20 minutes. If you're on the right plan
- 6:43Speaker 1: for your needs, they're going to tell you. And if
- 6:45Speaker 1: you're not, they'll help you switch. By doing this, they've
- 6:48Speaker 1: saved an average of $ 1, 100 a year on health care costs.
- 6:52Speaker 1: Call Chapter today to get this out of the way
- 6:55Speaker 1: quickly and enjoy peace of mind. You can reach them
- 6:57Speaker 1: at 580-308-0975. That's 580-308-0975 for Chapter. Ricoh Homeland Security. Ilhan Omar.
- 7:09Speaker 1: This could be a list of 10 different things that
- 7:12Speaker 1: they're investigating over there. One never knows. What's shocking to
- 7:16Speaker 1: me is over on one of the other cable networks,
- 7:18Speaker 1: I think they call themselves CNN, although I'm not sure
- 7:21Speaker 1: what that middle N stands for. It's not news, that's
- 7:23Speaker 1: for sure. They seem to have the sads over this story.
- 7:28Speaker 5: So some breaking news coming in as we speak. Learning
- 7:32Speaker 5: that federal officers have conducted a search and did so
- 7:35Speaker 5: early today at the home of Democratic Congresswoman Ilhan Omar.
- 7:39Speaker 5: CNN's Caitlin Polance is gathering the details on this for
- 7:43Speaker 5: us and joins us now. Caitlin, what are you learning?
- 7:47Speaker 11: Kate, we're learning bits and pieces of what's happening here,
- 7:50Speaker 11: but there is a search that was going on this
- 7:52Speaker 11: morning or is going on still at the home of
- 7:56Speaker 11: Ilhan Omar, the Democratic representative from Minnesota, who is also
- 8:01Speaker 11: running again for Congress in the middle of this election season.
- 8:06Speaker 11: This would be her D.C. area home. And the confirmation
- 8:10Speaker 11: we've gotten of this is from the Justice Department itself,
- 8:14Speaker 11: them saying that the Justice Department secured a court authorized
- 8:19Speaker 11: search warrant and that Homeland Security investigators would be the
- 8:24Speaker 11: agency that is conducting this search this morning. We don't
- 8:28Speaker 11: have much more indication on exactly what this is, but
- 8:31Speaker 11: it appears to be some level of an immigration investigation,
- 8:36Speaker 11: given that it's Homeland Security doing this, and also some
- 8:40Speaker 11: of the statements that are coming out out of the
- 8:42Speaker 11: White House, specifically by White House border czar Tom Homan.
- 8:46Speaker 11: Here he is speaking to Fox News when asked about
- 8:50Speaker 11: Representative Ilhan Omar.
- 8:52Speaker 1: Can you tell sort of how they're covering this like
- 8:54Speaker 1: there's a funeral going on? By the way, this doesn't
- 8:58Speaker 1: have to be immigration. Homeland Security covers a whole lot
- 9:01Speaker 1: of stuff. Yes, immigration is a big part of what
- 9:04Speaker 1: Homeland Security investigates, but Homeland Security also investigates terror links,
- 9:09Speaker 1: don't they? Any kind of terrorist activity would fall under
- 9:13Speaker 1: the auspices of Homeland Security. But I just want you
- 9:16Speaker 1: to the sort of judgy tone in all of this
- 9:19Speaker 1: about an early morning raid on a political figure. This
- 9:22Speaker 1: is practically unheard of. Well, CNN used to get the
- 9:26Speaker 1: phone call for ride alongs when it was Roger Stone's
- 9:29Speaker 1: house or when it was the Mar-a-Lago raid down in
- 9:33Speaker 1: Florida of President Trump's home. So the FBI could rifle
- 9:37Speaker 1: through his wife's underwear drawer. Then CNN was all over it.
- 9:41Speaker 1: It was stop the presses is the greatest thing that's
- 9:43Speaker 1: ever happened. Now it's one of their team and they've
- 9:45Speaker 1: got a problem with it. Look at the face. Look
- 9:47Speaker 1: at the face. Look at the anger. Look at the disappointment.
- 9:50Speaker 1: Look at the frustration. Look at the pearl clutching. Look
- 9:53Speaker 1: at those fabulous red glasses. Should I get some of those?
- 9:56Speaker 1: I think I might.
- 9:59Speaker 12: Well, I'm not going to get ahead of Todd Blanch
- 10:01Speaker 12: on this or Secretary Mullen, but we know this investigation
- 10:04Speaker 12: was ongoing for a while. There was a warrant executed
- 10:07Speaker 12: this morning. So I'll leave it at that. It's specific
- 10:10Speaker 12: to the investigation. I think I need to turn that
- 10:13Speaker 12: over to Todd Blanch or Mark Blanch and Mullen. I
- 10:15Speaker 12: don't want to get ahead of them commenting on an
- 10:18Speaker 12: ongoing investigation.
- 10:21Speaker 11: Now, there have been allegations from Republicans and including from
- 10:26Speaker 11: Tom Homan, the White House borders are, that there could
- 10:31Speaker 11: be some level of immigration fraud. We don't have any
- 10:34Speaker 11: of that substantiated at this time, and there haven't been
- 10:37Speaker 11: any criminal charges or other immigration enforcement actions against Representative Omar.
- 10:42Speaker 11: So this is an ongoing situation, and we're still seeing
- 10:45Speaker 11: exactly what would come But it is quite notable. It's
- 10:48Speaker 11: in the middle of an election season and that this
- 10:50Speaker 11: is a sitting member of Congress running for reelection.
- 10:54Speaker 1: Oh, it's in the middle of election season. That's just precious,
- 10:57Speaker 1: isn't it? Yeah, it's a Homeland Security situation and they
- 11:02Speaker 1: have reason to believe that the judge has reason to
- 11:04Speaker 1: believe that there's enough evidence to to justify a warrant
- 11:08Speaker 1: to search the home because of a Homeland Security issue.
- 11:12Speaker 1: But we might want to put it on hold for
- 11:14Speaker 1: another month and handle it after the election, by the way.
- 11:17Speaker 1: Imagine if that were the case. Let's just think this
- 11:19Speaker 1: through for a moment. Imagine they had the evidence of
- 11:22Speaker 1: a potential crime. Imagine that they had a judge that
- 11:25Speaker 1: signed off on a warrant to say, yeah, you should
- 11:26Speaker 1: probably raid the home. And instead of actually executing that
- 11:30Speaker 1: search warrant now, they said, oh, but wait, there's an
- 11:32Speaker 1: election coming up. So let's hold off and not do
- 11:35Speaker 1: anything until after the election. Well, if you're a voter
- 11:37Speaker 1: in Minnesota, how would you feel if you found out
- 11:40Speaker 1: after Election Day that that your congresswoman has just had
- 11:45Speaker 1: her home raided and they had evidence, you know, good
- 11:48Speaker 1: four weeks ago, but they didn't do anything about it
- 11:50Speaker 1: because they didn't want to affect the election. No, actually,
- 11:53Speaker 1: maybe maybe the sort of thing that you should know
- 11:55Speaker 1: about before you have an election. Oh, and by the way,
- 11:58Speaker 1: all the pearl clutching and the shaming that's going on
- 12:01Speaker 1: here about this outrageously politicized Trump administration doing a raid
- 12:06Speaker 1: on the home of Ilhan Omar, one of 435 members
- 12:09Speaker 1: of Congress just a few weeks before the election. Remember
- 12:13Speaker 1: when I just mentioned the Mar-a-Lago raid, the raid of
- 12:16Speaker 1: a former president in his home, unprecedented, never happened before.
- 12:22Speaker 1: Early dawn before sunrise with cars and sirens and the
- 12:26Speaker 1: photos that were put out that showed erroneously that he
- 12:30Speaker 1: had top secret national security documents that he had stolen
- 12:34Speaker 1: from the White House. And he was colluding with the
- 12:36Speaker 1: Saudis to sell them nuclear secrets. Remember all of that?
- 12:40Speaker 1: That happened 92 days before the election of 2022.
- 12:43Speaker 7: Oh, a.
- 12:45Speaker 1: Midterm election where Republicans were doing really well and everyone
- 12:49Speaker 1: thought we'd have a red wave and sweep in and
- 12:51Speaker 1: get majorities in the House and the Senate. And I mean,
- 12:54Speaker 1: Republicans did win the House. They didn't win the Senate.
- 12:57Speaker 1: It wasn't nearly as good an election as they were
- 12:59Speaker 1: hoping it would be. And I don't know, maybe that
- 13:02Speaker 1: Mar-a-Lago raid 92 days before the election may have changed
- 13:06Speaker 1: things there. Please give me a break, CNN. Meanwhile, over
- 13:13Speaker 1: on MSNOW, they're really, really, really, really upset about this.
- 13:17Speaker 1: Although strangely, they're actually fairer in their reporting in certain
- 13:22Speaker 1: respects than CNN was.
- 13:23Speaker 9: In this hour with breaking news that we've been following,
- 13:25Speaker 9: we're learning federal agents searched the Washington, D.C. area home
- 13:29Speaker 9: of Democratic Congresswoman Ilhan Omar earlier this morning. The Department
- 13:33Speaker 9: of Justice said in a statement that that the search
- 13:35Speaker 9: was part of an ongoing federal criminal investigation. Let's bring
- 13:39Speaker 9: in MSNOW's Ken Delanian, who has been following this story
- 13:41Speaker 9: for us. Ken, what more do we know at this
- 13:43Speaker 9: point in the morning?
- 13:46Speaker 1: Good morning, Ariel.
- 13:46Speaker 4: As you mentioned, the Justice Department is confirming that this
- 13:49Speaker 4: search was pursuant to a court order. So that means
- 13:52Speaker 4: that the Department of Homeland Security, which carried out the search,
- 13:54Speaker 4: had to present evidence to a judge suggesting that there
- 13:57Speaker 4: was evidence of a crime at this location at Representative
- 14:01Speaker 4: Omar's home in Washington, D.C., or at least that there
- 14:04Speaker 4: was probable cause to believe that there was such evidence.
- 14:06Speaker 4: And so the agents came in and they searched the
- 14:08Speaker 4: home as we understand it. Now, we've not been able
- 14:11Speaker 4: to get any details on what exactly this criminal investigation
- 14:15Speaker 4: is about. Other outlets are reporting that investigators are examining
- 14:20Speaker 4: paperwork pursuant to Omar's citizenship. She acquired citizenship in 2000.
- 14:24Speaker 4: And one of the questions it's been reported that investigators
- 14:27Speaker 4: are examining is, is whether she was 18 at the
- 14:30Speaker 4: time that that happened, because the law would be different
- 14:33Speaker 4: whether she was a child or whether she was 18.
- 14:36Speaker 4: That seems like it would be an issue easily cleared up.
- 14:38Speaker 4: But nonetheless, you know, these federal agents are coming. We're
- 14:42Speaker 4: combing through her personal property in a very, very intrusive search. Obviously,
- 14:46Speaker 4: this raises a lot of questions because Representative Omar is
- 14:49Speaker 4: a longstanding opponent of President Trump. has been targeted on
- 14:54Speaker 4: the right for a long period of time. She's a
- 14:56Speaker 4: sitting member of Congress with certain privileges around the speech
- 15:00Speaker 4: and debate clause. So there's a lot we don't know here.
- 15:02Speaker 4: A lot of questions have been raised. What we do
- 15:05Speaker 4: know is the Justice Department is saying that this was
- 15:07Speaker 4: a search pursuant to a court order.
- 15:09Speaker 1: Oh, the search and the speech and debate clause. Now
- 15:12Speaker 1: they're worried about the speech and debate clause and the
- 15:14Speaker 1: executive branch infringing on the legislative branch's power under the
- 15:18Speaker 1: speech and debate clause. Hey, can we get the MSNOW
- 15:20Speaker 1: report online? on Jack Smith getting warrants and intruding on
- 15:26Speaker 1: the phone calls and text messages of sitting members of
- 15:30Speaker 1: Congress during his investigation over January 6th and Donald Trump,
- 15:34Speaker 1: because that may have been an infringement on the speech
- 15:36Speaker 1: and debate clause. Did MSNOW cover that? No, did they not? Okay.
- 15:40Speaker 1: Did you notice also nowhere in that report were the
- 15:42Speaker 1: other speculative concerns that we may have here? over Ilhan
- 15:47Speaker 1: Omar's marriage to her brother that has already been widely
- 15:51Speaker 1: reported by Mark Wayne Mullen, the actual secretary of the
- 15:54Speaker 1: Department of Homeland Security, that they know for a fact
- 15:56Speaker 1: that she did, in fact, marry her brother, which, you know,
- 15:58Speaker 1: would kind of make her eligible for deportation and denaturalization.
- 16:05Speaker 1: No mention of that. See, the MSNOW audience never hears
- 16:07Speaker 1: stuff like this. And so when it actually comes up, well, then,
- 16:11Speaker 1: because MSNOW has never reported on those facts, then their
- 16:15Speaker 1: audience thinks that it's just a right-wing conspiracy.
- 16:18Speaker 9: Can you just remind us of the history between Ilhan
- 16:20Speaker 9: Omar and President Trump and the larger Republican Party?
- 16:25Speaker 1: Sure.
- 16:26Speaker 7: It's not an uplifting history. The president has been very
- 16:30Speaker 7: critical of Omar, along with her fellow, quote-unquote, squad members.
- 16:36Speaker 1: Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. The president hasn't been very
- 16:38Speaker 1: nice to Ilhan Omar and the squad. I'm sorry. Have
- 16:41Speaker 1: they been super supportive and complimentary of the president? By
- 16:44Speaker 1: the way, what is quote unquote squad? They call themselves
- 16:48Speaker 1: the squad. Seriously, Reuters? This is how well we're just
- 16:52Speaker 1: here to report the facts. And here's how the story begins.
- 16:56Speaker 1: Trump's been really mean to Ilhan Omar. I don't think
- 17:00Speaker 1: she's been super nice to Donald Trump, but I guess
- 17:03Speaker 1: it all depends on how you want to frame this story. Oh,
- 17:06Speaker 1: but please continue, Jeff Mason. By the way, now he's Bloomberg.
- 17:09Speaker 1: I think he used to be Reuters. He was also
- 17:11Speaker 1: the president of the White House Correspondents Association for many years.
- 17:14Speaker 6: So.
- 17:15Speaker 7: Yeah, over the years, starting during his first term and
- 17:21Speaker 7: has often disparaged her and disparaged her representation from Minnesota.
- 17:28Speaker 7: And I think that gives me an opportunity to mention
- 17:30Speaker 7: again that Ken was just talking about immigration and paperwork
- 17:34Speaker 7: going back to when she was a child. that have
- 17:37Speaker 7: stirred up conspiracies in right-wing circles. But let's not forget
- 17:40Speaker 7: that this is a sitting member of Congress. So that
- 17:43Speaker 7: underscores how significant this is in a moment when we
- 17:46Speaker 7: don't have a whole lot of facts. I think it's
- 17:49Speaker 7: important to note, again, that she was an elected congresswoman
- 17:52Speaker 7: from the state of Minnesota by her district, who the
- 17:55Speaker 7: president has clearly had as a target for some time.
- 18:00Speaker 1: Amazing. Thank you, Newsbusters, for the clip. So there you go.
- 18:03Speaker 1: Boys and girls, if you ever get elected to Congress,
- 18:05Speaker 1: all you have to do is be a vehement opponent
- 18:09Speaker 1: to whomever the president of the United States is, and
- 18:12Speaker 1: then you get a get out of jail free card.
- 18:14Speaker 1: If there's ever a crime that you've committed and the
- 18:17Speaker 1: Justice Department comes and authorizes a search warrant and they
- 18:21Speaker 1: get a judge to actually sign off on that warrant
- 18:24Speaker 1: and they go into your home to look for evidence
- 18:26Speaker 1: that you've broken the law, as long as you've been
- 18:29Speaker 1: a critic of the sitting president, MS Now is going
- 18:32Speaker 1: to give you a free pass. They're going to say, well,
- 18:34Speaker 1: I mean, listen, obviously this is just a political. Here's
- 18:37Speaker 1: the thing. They just assume that Donald Trump and and
- 18:42Speaker 1: and his administration use the law and use the Justice Department,
- 18:46Speaker 1: FBI and DHS in the same brazen political way that
- 18:50Speaker 1: Joe Biden did. And of course, they shrugged it off
- 18:53Speaker 1: when Joe Biden did it or when Merrick Garland did it,
- 18:56Speaker 1: because that's just justice, man. They're just following the law.
- 19:00Speaker 1: Funny how that works, isn't it? By the way, not uncoincidentally,
- 19:04Speaker 1: President Trump just recently was at a rally in Tennessee
- 19:08Speaker 1: and the subject of Ilhan Omar came up.
- 19:12Speaker 10: She comes from Somalia. She comes from Somalia. They don't
- 19:22Speaker 10: have a government. They don't have police.
- 19:24Speaker 1: All they have is crime and squalor.
- 19:26Speaker 6: And she comes into our country and she says, my
- 19:30Speaker 6: constitution allows me. She's talking about our constitution. What they've
- 19:36Speaker 6: done to Minnesota, these people from Somalia, what they've done
- 19:39Speaker 6: to Minnesota should never be allowed.
- 19:41Speaker 1: And let's see what happens.
- 19:43Speaker 12: J.D.
- 19:43Speaker 6: Vance and our people are looking at it.
- 19:45Speaker 1: I love how he pronounces Somalia. Somalia. Somalia. So that
- 19:51Speaker 1: was just this weekend in Tennessee at a rally. Meanwhile,
- 19:54Speaker 1: by the way, this just in, and I do mean literally,
- 19:56Speaker 1: like right when we went on the air, Ilhan Omar,
- 20:00Speaker 1: perhaps you've heard of her. She put out a statement
- 20:03Speaker 1: about this raid. Here's her official statement, dropped about 20
- 20:07Speaker 1: minutes ago. I'm okay. Well, no one was worried about whether,
- 20:11Speaker 1: what do you mean you're okay? Were you in danger?
- 20:15Speaker 1: Did people think that you were in danger, that something
- 20:17Speaker 1: had happened? I'm okay. Make no mistake. This is an
- 20:21Speaker 1: attempt to target political enemies and weaponize federal law enforcement.
- 20:25Speaker 1: For 10 years, Trump has targeted me with baseless lies
- 20:28Speaker 1: and smear campaigns. This is just the latest escalation in
- 20:31Speaker 1: his campaign of political intimidation. I will not be silenced. Well,
- 20:35Speaker 1: that's a fascinating statement that she's put on her social
- 20:39Speaker 1: media platform. because it's a far cry from this statement
- 20:42Speaker 1: she put out back in 23. Our democracy rests on
- 20:47Speaker 1: the rule of law when someone, no matter how powerful
- 20:49Speaker 1: they are, is suspected of a criminal act. Our justice
- 20:53Speaker 1: system investigates charges and convicts them in accordance with due process.
- 20:58Speaker 1: I think that was when President Trump was indicted by
- 21:00Speaker 1: Letitia James up in New York for a completely bogus charge,
- 21:05Speaker 1: as you know. So that's what she said then. When someone,
- 21:08Speaker 1: no matter how powerful they are, is suspected of a
- 21:11Speaker 1: criminal act, our justice system investigates. Well, how does that
- 21:14Speaker 1: match with today's statement after she's now being investigated? This
- 21:19Speaker 1: is an attempt to target political enemies and weaponize federal
- 21:22Speaker 1: law enforcement. But it's hard for me to make sense
- 21:24Speaker 1: of this because it's almost like she has two different
- 21:27Speaker 1: standards and two different rules for herself and for Donald
- 21:31Speaker 1: Trump or Republicans.
- 21:33Speaker 6: Right.
- 21:34Speaker 1: But the other thing that's strange about all of this,
- 21:36Speaker 1: that she's upset. that she's being investigated and that a
- 21:40Speaker 1: judge has signed off on a warrant to search her
- 21:42Speaker 1: home for potential crimes that she may or may not
- 21:45Speaker 1: be involved with through Department of Homeland Security, be it
- 21:48Speaker 1: immigration or RICO or national security or fraud or what
- 21:51Speaker 1: have you. What's confusing to me is that just recently
- 21:56Speaker 1: I heard a woman who looks and sounds very much
- 21:59Speaker 1: like Ilhan Omar say this.
- 22:02Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 22:03Speaker 8: No, I mean, I listen. Suggest all you want. Please
- 22:09Speaker 8: investigate all you want.
- 22:11Speaker 2: Right.
- 22:11Speaker 8: Like to me, I'm not I'm not like I'm above
- 22:14Speaker 8: the law. And how dare you? You know, like I
- 22:18Speaker 8: understand politics. I understand what these people have to do
- 22:26Speaker 8: in order to like feed their base.
- 22:28Speaker 1: There you go. Investigate me all you want, she said.
- 22:35Speaker 1: Wish granted. Congratulations, you're being investigated, but not all we want. Surely,
- 22:44Speaker 1: trust me, there's a whole lot more that we want
- 22:47Speaker 1: here when it comes to investigations. But it's something, at least,
- 22:51Speaker 1: and it's strange now to hear her complaining about it
- 22:54Speaker 1: and expressing outrage, isn't it? Investigate me all you want.
- 22:59Speaker 1: By the way, as we've been covering the Ilhan Omar
- 23:01Speaker 1: story and the Minnesota fraud story that Nick Shirley uncovered
- 23:06Speaker 1: and the recent Confirmation from Homeland Security Secretary Mark Wayne
- 23:10Speaker 1: Mullen that we know she married her brother, dot, dot, dot.
- 23:14Speaker 1: And there's an investigation ongoing. I'm not immune to the
- 23:18Speaker 1: fact that in our live chat and in the comments section,
- 23:20Speaker 1: we often see people express their frustration, and I feel
- 23:23Speaker 1: your frustration, saying, do something. They're not going to do anything.
- 23:27Speaker 1: Nothing will ever happen. Nobody ever does anything. We know
- 23:30Speaker 1: that they break the law and they never actually have
- 23:33Speaker 1: to pay the price or penalty. Why don't we actually investigate?
- 23:36Speaker 1: Why don't we do anything? Stop with just having committee
- 23:39Speaker 1: hearings and do something. Stop with just giving interviews and
- 23:42Speaker 1: saying things and do something. Well, today... To coin a phrase,
- 23:49Speaker 1: some people did something. And it feels good. Let's see
- 23:54Speaker 1: where it goes.
