  Speaker 2: know those that labor amongst you. Don't just be joining

  Speaker 2: groups and joining these different things if you're not gonna

  Speaker 2: take the time to get to know the people that

  Speaker 2: are participating and being a part of these things. Y'all,

  Speaker 2: there's a reason why God allows you to connect with

  Speaker 1: So when you connect with these different groups, y'all find.

  Speaker 2: Out what everybody is doing, what resources are available, and

  Speaker 2: how you can tap in.

  Speaker 2: If there's one thing that I have learned on this

  Speaker 2: journey through authorship, publishing and purpose driven entrepreneurship, it is

  Speaker 2: the road wasn't meant to be walked along in this
• 4:03
  Speaker 2: world of books business inspiration. True strength is found in unity,
• 4:11
  Speaker 2: not competition, but unity. Today I want to shout out
• 4:15
  Speaker 2: someone who has embodied this truth and everything she does,
• 4:19
  Speaker 2: and that is Minister Alma Thomas.

  Speaker 1: Minister Alma Thomas.

  Speaker 2: She is not just an author, but she's a podcast host,

  Speaker 2: she's a life coach and so much more.

  Speaker 1: All with her eyes and in the heart, she set.

  Speaker 2: Firmly on building the Kingdom of God, and I am

  Speaker 2: truly thankful for her. Alma uses her voice, her gifts

  Speaker 2: in her story to pour life into others, even when
• 4:49
  Speaker 2: she faces her own battles, even lying on her bed
• 4:53
  Speaker 2: of affliction. Remind you this lady has been She had

  Speaker 2: a massive stroke a little over three years ago, maybe

  Speaker 2: four years ago now, because we've been on the podcast
• 5:06
  Speaker 2: for three years, a little over four years ago, she
• 5:09
  Speaker 2: had a stroke and she has been bedridden, but it
• 5:14
  Speaker 2: has not stopped her. She has chosen to shine bright
• 5:18
  Speaker 2: for God in for the people of God who she
• 5:22
  Speaker 2: has been called to serve. I don't collaborate with people
• 5:26
  Speaker 2: because I'm chasing a title or looking to compete.
• 5:32
  Speaker 1: But it's quite the opposite.

  Speaker 2: I cheer for my brothers and my sisters in this community,
• 5:38
  Speaker 2: regardless of whether they can return to favor or not.

  Speaker 2: My reward doesn't come from people. It comes from God,
• 5:46
  Speaker 2: and He always paid me back in due time.

  Speaker 1: Y'all.

  Speaker 2: There's power in partnership. There's power in collaboration. Why do

  Speaker 2: I partner with others, Black Minister, Because partnership multiplies the

  Speaker 2: impact when when we reach further than ourselves, we can

  Speaker 2: reach other people, and we can reach much faster. No
• 6:14
  Speaker 2: one can reach the ends of the earth alone, but together,
• 6:18
  Speaker 2: each platform, each voice, each network can extend the message
• 6:23
  Speaker 2: further and further, and further and further than we can
• 6:27
  Speaker 2: have ever imagined. Though people like Alma, my books, my

  Speaker 2: magazine have found homes in places I have never traveled,

  Speaker 2: and just like her testimony, it has changed the lives
• 6:43
  Speaker 2: of many who have never met her. Y'all, we grow

  Speaker 2: stronger through partnerships. When we partner, we learn from one another.

  Speaker 2: We learn their strengths, we learn to cover each other weaknesses.

  Speaker 2: For example, our much resilience and adversity inspires me to

  Speaker 2: keep pushing forward. Her ability to speak life has helped

  Speaker 2: me to find my voice even in tough times, because

  Speaker 2: I feel like, if she can do it from her bad,
• 7:13
  Speaker 2: if she can do it from a hospital bad, and

  Speaker 2: I got used to my limbs and I can get
• 7:17
  Speaker 2: up and I can walk, and I can do all
• 7:19
  Speaker 2: this stuff.

  Speaker 1: If she can do all the stuff that.
• 7:21
  Speaker 2: She do, why can't I? Why can't I do it?

  Speaker 2: So it's her strength, her testimony, her willingness, her push

  Speaker 2: to keep going that has strengthened me and have helped
• 7:33
  Speaker 2: me find my voice in those tough days when I
• 7:36
  Speaker 2: wanted to throw in the towel, when I wanted to
• 7:38
  Speaker 2: say quit, forget it. And then not only that, y'all.

  Speaker 1: We model true community, y'all.

  Speaker 2: We have to be exampled on examples for those that
• 7:48
  Speaker 2: we are teaching, those that we are sharing, those that
• 7:50
  Speaker 2: we are pouring into our readers, our followers, our clients, y'all.

  Speaker 2: They're always watching they're always watching. When they they see
• 8:00
  Speaker 2: us supporting each other, guess what they see. They can
• 8:05
  Speaker 2: celebrate and uplift with us rather than competing, y'all.

  Speaker 1: It encourages them to do the same.

  Speaker 2: If they can see us celebrating and uplifting, it will
• 8:15
  Speaker 2: it would It would make them do the same. It

  Speaker 2: would make them want to move from competing.

  Speaker 2: This is all about kingdom work, because at the end
• 8:25
  Speaker 2: of the day, y'all, we're supposed to be loving, serving

  Speaker 2: and building together because it's all about the one kingdom

  Speaker 2: that we live under, that we all sit under, the creator,
• 8:35
  Speaker 2: the one that created us all.

  Speaker 2: We're here to cheer and not compete. We're here to
• 8:43
  Speaker 2: cheer and not compete. I didn't get to the place
• 8:48
  Speaker 2: of collaboration because I wanted a higher seat at the table.

  Speaker 2: I got to a place a collaboration because somebody spoke
• 8:55
  Speaker 2: that over my life.

  Speaker 1: And not only that collaboration.

  Speaker 2: Through collaboration, I believe that if if we collaborate, the

  Speaker 2: table can be bigger for for all of us. One way,

  Speaker 2: everybody can sit at the table. Whether you're your support

  Speaker 2: is returned or not, you still support. I still clap for.

  Speaker 1: Those who are trying, who are trying, that are growing
• 9:25
  Speaker 1: and shining in their own lane.

  Speaker 2: Because at the end of the day, it's about what

  Speaker 2: we are doing for the kingdom. It is about what

  Speaker 2: we are doing for the kingdom. It is about building

  Speaker 2: the kingdom up, and not what Angela is doing and

  Speaker 2: building Angela up? Because who am I? Who am I?

  Speaker 2: I'm just a vessel that wants to be used, That's all.
