- 0:00People frequently have to wrestle with conflicting
- 0:03emotions, unclear and confusing thoughts, and the need to
- 0:07balance duties, demands or considerations that appear to be
- 0:12opposed to one another. In some cases, we obtain facts
- 0:17which, if expressed to another person, will presumably cause
- 0:22them suffering. Yet withholding that information
- 0:25can have negative consequences. How frequently we have to deal
- 0:30with someone who has a serious health issue or who has a
- 0:33relationship issue which we learn about but feel reticent to
- 0:38share. Is it better to speak with the
- 0:40individual or to remain quiet? We see someone being verbally or
- 0:46physically abused or bullied on the street.
- 0:50Do we intervene or walk by and not involve ourselves?
- 0:56We see an employer wrongfully browbeating an employee and we
- 1:00have to choose whether to intervene and perhaps endanger
- 1:04our own employment, or to let the ire fall on the other person
- 1:09and remain quiet and hope to not be noticed.
- 1:14We may hear a person being maligned and undercut behind
- 1:18their back about things we know to be untrue.
- 1:22Do we respond and counter the malicious claims being made?
- 1:29We see underlying all these situations a variety of
- 1:32potential responses, some dictated by fear, some by a
- 1:37desire not to cause pain, some to hide some indiscretion,
- 1:42etcetera. We make decisions in all kinds
- 1:46of situations based on some kind of internal process, possibly a
- 1:51balancing act between conflicting moral or ethical
- 1:54requirements, possibly due to fear or unwillingness to stand
- 1:59up and oppose an injustice as it would require getting involved
- 2:04when all we want is to have peace and live and let live.
- 2:11There may be an element of physical fear involved, or the
- 2:15thought that intervention would not help, or possibly that it is
- 2:19not our role to intervene in the karma of others.
- 2:25As long as we are acting from the physical, vital, emotional,
- 2:29mental planes or some mix of them, and the needs,
- 2:32expectations or fears of the external being, we find that we
- 2:37can become paralyzed into inaction as we cannot decide
- 2:42what exactly is the right course of action.
- 2:46These levels are not founded in knowledge as they judge things
- 2:50from outside and as separate without a complete sense of what
- 2:55is really taking place, which can only be known through a
- 2:59knowledge by identity. Knowledge by identity occurs
- 3:05through the unification with the soul consciousness that is
- 3:08connected to the one consciousness that permeates and
- 3:11manifests the entire created universe and transcends it.
- 3:17From this level, the knowledge of exactly what needs to be said
- 3:21or done arises and there is no conflict as it is a truth
- 3:26awareness that goes beyond all the moral and ethical codes, all
- 3:31the fears, emotions, biases, instinctive behaviors or mental
- 3:37logic. The mother observes.
- 3:41Quote for example, you are in contact with someone, you have
- 3:47very good feelings for this person, you find yourself in a
- 3:51slightly difficult circumstance and want to do the best
- 3:54possible. If you act spontaneously, there
- 3:59is no problem before you, because you act like that one
- 4:02thing trailing another and without reflecting and you
- 4:07consciously want to do the best. On what will you base your
- 4:12judgement? What knowledge will allow you to
- 4:15decide I must do this or I must do that, I must say this or I
- 4:22must say that, or I must not say anything?
- 4:27All the countless possibilities which come before you, and on
- 4:32what will you base your judgement?
- 4:34If you look at it sincerely, you will find out that at each step
- 4:40you do not know. It is only if you have been in
- 4:44the habit of going within yourself, of referring to the
- 4:47inner psychic consciousness and letting it decide in yourself
- 4:52what you want to do, that you do it with certitude, without
- 4:56hesitation, without a question, nothing.
- 5:00You know that this is what must be done, and there is no
- 5:04question about it. But that's the only case.
- 5:08Therefore, it is only when you let your psychic guide you
- 5:11consciously constantly that you are able to do consciously and
- 5:16constantly the right thing. But that's the only case.
