- 0:00Speaker 1: We got Becky G tickets online. We're getting into why
- 0:02Speaker 1: is it great to be single? We got into it
- 0:04Speaker 1: about an hour ago, but we're really going to get
- 0:06Speaker 1: into it now. Something happened with my wife. I got
- 0:07Speaker 1: to tell you first, let's say hi to Cassie.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Cassie, what's up? You're on the air.
- 0:12Speaker 3: Hey, so I have kind of a deep question for
- 0:14Speaker 3: you all. I'm wondering, so this is related John Jay
- 0:17Speaker 3: to the prediction of when you are going to die.
- 0:21Speaker 3: And it's based on when I was going to die.
- 0:24Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 0:24Speaker 1: I mean, A psychic said that I was going to
- 0:27Speaker 1: die before my birthday, 2026, and I've been obsessed with
- 0:30Speaker 1: that for a long time, and now I made it.
- 0:31Speaker 2: Go ahead.
- 0:33Speaker 3: Exactly. So if you could know when you were going
- 0:36Speaker 3: to die, would you want to know?
- 0:39Speaker 1: I would, which is why I do full-body MRIs. I'm
- 0:47Speaker 1: a big fan of the full-body MRI, and right now
- 0:49Speaker 1: you can go to SimonMed.com. And go get one. And
- 0:51Speaker 1: you don't need to have a prescription. And I was
- 0:53Speaker 1: interviewing on the highly successful John J. Van Ness podcast yesterday.
- 0:58Speaker 2: Dr. Simon, who, by the way, I didn't know was
- 0:59Speaker 2: a real person.
- 1:00Speaker 4: He's the Simon of Simon Med?
- 1:01Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:02Speaker 1: Oh, that's fun. I feel like Simon Med's been around
- 1:04Speaker 1: since like, you know, it's just part of like McDonald's.
- 1:06Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:06Speaker 6: Right.
- 1:06Speaker 2: But he's a guy. And so I interviewed him yesterday.
- 1:10Speaker 2: He's a guy. And get this. His dad is 105
- 1:12Speaker 2: years old. Oh, my goodness.
- 1:14Speaker 5: What a life.
- 1:14Speaker 2: I know.
- 1:15Speaker 6: I know.
- 1:15Speaker 1: So this guy knows his stuff. But anyway, I would
- 1:18Speaker 1: want to know when I was going to die. What
- 1:19Speaker 1: about you, Kyle?
- 1:20Speaker 7: I don't think so. I think I'm going to leave
- 1:23Speaker 7: that a mystery because it's the day you die, no
- 1:27Speaker 7: matter what.
- 1:27Speaker 5: Right.
- 1:27Speaker 2: Like you can't change.
- 1:29Speaker 8: Right.
- 1:29Speaker 7: It's not like you can, you can go do all
- 1:31Speaker 7: the things you're doing John Jay for longevity to like
- 1:33Speaker 7: make it longer. It's like, that's the day you die.
- 1:35Speaker 1: And you know, like that movie, no matter what you do,
- 1:37Speaker 1: it's good.
- 1:37Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:38Speaker 2: Final destination.
- 1:39Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:39Speaker 2: No, I think I don't. What about you Peyton?
- 1:41Speaker 8: I think I would. So then I can decide how
- 1:43Speaker 8: I want to live my life. Do I want to
- 1:44Speaker 8: spend all my money and go on vacation now?
- 1:47Speaker 4: Or do I want to wait.
- 1:47Speaker 2: In 10 years?
- 1:48Speaker 4: I mean, there is a bonus. If you think like,
- 1:50Speaker 4: let's say you're going to get hit by a bus. Well,
- 1:51Speaker 4: then I wouldn't skip the barbecue and eat vegetables that day.
- 1:54Speaker 4: I would get the barbecue.
- 1:55Speaker 6: Right.
- 1:55Speaker 4: So for that reason, yes.
- 1:58Speaker 2: Yeah, I guess so. What about you, Cassie?
- 2:00Speaker 3: I'm surprised. I want to know. Yeah. Like Kyle with
- 2:04Speaker 3: her death book, like you can prepare, you could. you know,
- 2:08Speaker 3: like have a plan.
- 2:09Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 2:10Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:10Speaker 3: And the same with Peyton.
- 2:11Speaker 6: Like, yeah.
- 2:12Speaker 3: Do I want to work another like 20 years or
- 2:14Speaker 3: should I just go?
- 2:17Speaker 4: I got enough money to party for like a solid
- 2:19Speaker 4: month right now.
- 2:24Speaker 6: That's pretty good.
- 2:25Speaker 3: I know it's a deep one.
- 2:26Speaker 2: It's a deep one this morning. Thank you, Cassie. Thanks
- 2:28Speaker 2: for listening.
- 2:32Speaker 8: All right.
- 2:32Speaker 1: So why is it great to be single? We got
- 2:35Speaker 1: Becky G tickets on the line, 877-937-1047. We got into
- 2:37Speaker 1: it about an hour ago. We got into it a
- 2:40Speaker 1: little bit in the second date update.
- 2:42Speaker 2: Laura, why is it great to be single?
- 2:46Speaker 9: Because I get to decorate however I want, and I
- 2:49Speaker 9: don't have to worry about if he's going to like.
- 2:51Speaker 2: It or not.
- 2:53Speaker 10: That's a good point.
- 2:54Speaker 4: The thing is, though, when you're in a relationship, most
- 2:56Speaker 4: guys don't care anyway. You could probably still do whatever
- 2:59Speaker 4: you wanted.
- 2:59Speaker 8: But some guys do.
- 3:00Speaker 7: Some guys do, and it's like, if you want to
- 3:02Speaker 7: put pink ruffles everywhere, they.
- 3:04Speaker 10: May not be. Maybe you're a better man.
- 3:06Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 3:08Speaker 4: Well, maybe I just trust... Mine wouldn't let.
- 3:10Speaker 10: Me do anything.
- 3:11Speaker 4: Really? No.
- 3:14Speaker 11: I couldn't do anything.
- 3:14Speaker 2: It was too girly, too.
- 3:16Speaker 6: I needed to.
- 3:17Speaker 12: Make more things more masculine and boring colors and.
- 3:21Speaker 2: Yeah, that's why that's your action.
- 3:22Speaker 6: Life's too short.
- 3:24Speaker 7: I just wouldn't care.
- 3:25Speaker 4: I don't think I would either.
- 3:26Speaker 3: One of the million reasons.
- 3:27Speaker 1: I don't care how my wife would decorate the house.
- 3:28Speaker 1: I feel like the house is hers. She can make
- 3:31Speaker 1: it as foo-foo or girly as she wants. I need
- 3:33Speaker 1: a good pillow and a good couch blanket for when
- 3:35Speaker 1: I'm there.
- 3:35Speaker 2: Well, Ann Rich, your.
- 3:36Speaker 8: Wife is just like, I mean, interior design is one
- 3:39Speaker 8: of her things. And John Jay, your wife, she just
- 3:41Speaker 8: does everything. So it's like for you two, I feel
- 3:44Speaker 8: like you're kind of out of the equation right here.
- 3:46Speaker 4: Oh, we don't get to participate?
- 3:47Speaker 6: No.
- 3:48Speaker 8: No, you don't get opinions if you're that.
- 3:51Speaker 3: Exactly, yes.
- 3:52Speaker 1: All right, Laura, hold on, hold on.
- 3:54Speaker 2: You're in the running.
- 3:55Speaker 1: We got Becky G tickets online. We want to know
- 3:57Speaker 1: why it's great to be single. Precious, good morning.
- 4:00Speaker 12: Good morning.
- 4:02Speaker 2: Are you single?
- 4:04Speaker 12: I am, and I'm loving it.
- 4:07Speaker 2: How long have you been single?
- 4:09Speaker 12: It's been about two years now.
- 4:13Speaker 2: And why is it great to be single?
- 4:16Speaker 12: Because honestly, as a single mom, I really enjoy being
- 4:20Speaker 12: single because I get to dedicate my time and attention
- 4:23Speaker 12: to my kids. And we enjoy each other so much
- 4:26Speaker 12: more than when there's like a grumpy man around.
- 4:29Speaker 7: We're like men.
- 4:32Speaker 12: Just want all the attention. And there's been so many
- 4:34Speaker 12: times where guys I'm dating will like shoo my kids away.
- 4:38Speaker 12: I'm like, no, it's really, my babies want to snuggle
- 4:42Speaker 12: with me. Then you get out of the bed.
- 4:44Speaker 4: Oh, you're talking about in bed. I get that. They're
- 4:47Speaker 4: shooing away when they're in bed with you.
- 4:48Speaker 2: I assume. Yeah. Okay.
- 4:50Speaker 10: Well, or like if the kids want to come into
- 4:52Speaker 10: the room or snuggle with me on the couch or like,
- 4:55Speaker 10: even when we go on like trips and stuff, they're like,
- 4:58Speaker 10: they just want all of my attention. And I'm like,
- 5:00Speaker 10: I want to spend time with my kids.
- 5:02Speaker 6: These years go by so fast.
- 5:04Speaker 4: That's truth.
- 5:06Speaker 10: Yeah, so I just feel like they get grumpy.
- 5:09Speaker 12: It's like having another child around, and then their bad
- 5:12Speaker 12: attitude ruins everything.
- 5:14Speaker 10: My kids like me single, too.
- 5:17Speaker 8: I'm sure they do.
- 5:18Speaker 2: All right, precious. Hold on a line. That's good. You're
- 5:19Speaker 2: in the running for Becky G tickets.
- 5:21Speaker 4: Making some good cases here.
- 5:22Speaker 2: Hello. Good morning, John Jane Rich. Hello? Who's this? Hello?
- 5:35Speaker 2: I hear you. All right.
- 5:39Speaker 1: So my wife says to me, this is why I'm
- 5:41Speaker 1: bringing it up again, because, well, here's what she, so
- 5:45Speaker 1: she's in this Mahjong group. Mahjong's some game she plays,
- 5:48Speaker 1: and she's really become obsessed with it in the last
- 5:50Speaker 1: couple months. And she takes these Mahjong classes. And one
- 5:53Speaker 1: of the girls in Mahjong was talking about why it's
- 5:55Speaker 1: so great to be single. And this is the number
- 5:57Speaker 1: one reason she said she loves being single, okay? No
- 6:01Speaker 1: whiskers in the sink. And my wife said this to
- 6:04Speaker 1: me while we were in a hotel when there were
- 6:07Speaker 1: whiskers all over.
- 6:07Speaker 2: I was shaving.
- 6:08Speaker 1: The hotel had one of those mirrors that zooms in
- 6:10Speaker 1: on your face. And I was like, oh my God,
- 6:12Speaker 1: do I not know how to shave? I was like
- 6:15Speaker 1: chunks everywhere and I was looking at my pimples.
- 6:18Speaker 2: So I started cleaning up. I was shaving my face.
- 6:22Speaker 1: And it was amazing. I was like, why don't we
- 6:24Speaker 1: have one of these? Apparently, we do have one of
- 6:26Speaker 1: these at my house. So I was shaving it.
- 6:28Speaker 2: And it was in the hotel.
- 6:29Speaker 1: There were two sinks. But this mirror was over her sink.
- 6:32Speaker 1: And there was my whiskers all over. And that's when
- 6:34Speaker 1: she brought it up. So she got all pissed off.
- 6:35Speaker 1: So I thought, she'd like to be single.
- 6:37Speaker 2: No whiskers in the sink. No whiskers in the sink, man.
- 6:40Speaker 2: So why is it great to be single? Lily, good morning.
- 6:44Speaker 3: Hi.
- 6:45Speaker 5: How are you guys?
- 6:46Speaker 4: Good.
- 6:46Speaker 2: How are you?
- 6:46Speaker 7: It's been.
- 6:48Speaker 6: Decades, I think, since I talked to you guys.
- 6:50Speaker 3: Oh, yes.
- 6:52Speaker 2: So newly divorced, about two years now.
- 6:55Speaker 10: Best thing about being single is no.
- 6:58Speaker 8: Longer having to clean the toilet after he goes and
- 7:02Speaker 8: backpacking off of the whiskers, the hocked loogies.
- 7:04Speaker 2: Oh, God.
- 7:05Speaker 7: That's mean.
- 7:07Speaker 9: Hated it.
- 7:08Speaker 12: Hated it with a passion. I would scream at the
- 7:13Speaker 12: top of my lungs, probably why we're divorced now.
- 7:15Speaker 4: Yeah, sounds like it.
- 7:16Speaker 2: But, yeah.
- 7:18Speaker 11: Disgusting.
- 7:19Speaker 9: Great to be single.
- 7:20Speaker 2: Disgusting. Okay, Lily, hold on, hold on.
- 7:22Speaker 4: Defiantly single.
- 7:23Speaker 2: Hello. Good morning, John Jane Rich. Hello. Hi.
- 7:27Speaker 6: I was hoping that I could speak on why it's
- 7:30Speaker 6: better to be single.
- 7:31Speaker 2: Yeah, what's your name?
- 7:32Speaker 6: My name's Elizabeth.
- 7:34Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, Elizabeth. Why is it great to be single?
- 7:37Speaker 6: Why is it great? There are a lot of reasons.
- 7:40Speaker 6: I've been single for about six years now, so I'm
- 7:43Speaker 6: going to say one. I could eat the same thing
- 7:45Speaker 6: on repeat, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I don't have to
- 7:48Speaker 6: worry about coming home and cooking dinner and cooking something different.
- 7:54Speaker 6: I'm going to say, too, if I want to clean,
- 7:56Speaker 6: I can clean. If I'm tired because I had a
- 8:00Speaker 6: long day at work, then I don't have to worry
- 8:01Speaker 6: about it. I don't need to snuggle if my head
- 8:06Speaker 6: hurts and I'm tired.
- 8:07Speaker 4: I don't want to.
- 8:10Speaker 6: Go out and do... What should we call it?
- 8:14Speaker 10: You know, sometimes we need to go.
- 8:17Speaker 6: Out and be a wifey and be presentable and do whatnot.
- 8:22Speaker 6: I don't have to do that.
- 8:24Speaker 4: She doesn't have to do whatnot.
- 8:25Speaker 2: You can love it if you want. That's pretty good.
- 8:27Speaker 2: That's a pretty good list.
- 8:28Speaker 8: Okay.
- 8:28Speaker 2: Six years.
- 8:29Speaker 6: I didn't do that for many, many years. And so
- 8:31Speaker 6: I don't think I'm, you know, I like to stay
- 8:34Speaker 6: at home. I like to have my hair up. And yes,
- 8:37Speaker 6: I do like to look cute and whatnot. But sometimes
- 8:40Speaker 6: like a girl gets tired of that.
- 8:42Speaker 2: Okay. Hold on the line. You're in the running. All right.
- 8:44Speaker 1: 877-937-1047. We can do another round of this. Why is
- 8:47Speaker 1: it great to be single? We got Becky G tickets
- 8:49Speaker 1: on the line. That's more of that next with John
- 8:52Speaker 1: Jay and Rich.
- 8:53Speaker 2: More coming up next. Kat, why is it great to
- 8:55Speaker 2: be single?
- 8:57Speaker 6: Good morning.
- 8:58Speaker 9: It's great to be single because I don't share my
- 9:01Speaker 9: dogs and their cuddles.
- 9:04Speaker 2: Oh, selfish.
- 9:05Speaker 9: I give them all to myself.
- 9:08Speaker 1: That's a great reason to be single. Or you get
- 9:10Speaker 1: more dogs. We have lots of dogs in my house.
- 9:13Speaker 1: Lots of cuddles.
- 9:14Speaker 2: Thanks, Kat.
- 9:15Speaker 6: Yeah, I have two in my house.
- 9:16Speaker 9: One of them is like a mouthy poo, and he
- 9:19Speaker 9: is very cuddly.
- 9:21Speaker 10: And I don't want to share that with anybody.
- 9:24Speaker 2: I know what you mean.
- 9:24Speaker 1: I have this dog, Pablo. He's the greatest freaking dog.
- 9:27Speaker 1: And he guilts me. If I'm walking by him, he
- 9:30Speaker 1: rolls over to be petted. And I'm like, I won't go. Thanks, Kat.
- 9:38Speaker 2: Sarah, why is it great to be single? Sarah.
- 9:45Speaker 5: Sorry, I didn't hear you say my name.
- 9:47Speaker 6: Hi.
- 9:48Speaker 5: I just like to say I think it's funny. Her
- 9:49Speaker 5: name is Kat and she's talking about dogs.
- 9:53Speaker 12: But no, I think it's wonderful to be single.
- 9:56Speaker 5: Because I do not have to excuse myself to go
- 9:59Speaker 5: into another room.
- 10:00Speaker 2: To fart.
- 10:03Speaker 4: That's really that's got more power to it than you
- 10:06Speaker 4: then you would imagine at first i mean it's free
- 10:08Speaker 4: will yeah every room is your.
- 10:10Speaker 5: Room exactly exactly and i don't have to blame it
- 10:14Speaker 5: on the dog either.
- 10:15Speaker 2: Right That's funny.
- 10:18Speaker 1: Have you seen those videos on Instagram where the girl
- 10:20Speaker 1: that comes home all dressed up from a date closes
- 10:22Speaker 1: the door, kicks off her shoes and just rips one?
- 10:27Speaker 2: Okay, Sarah, hold on the line. That's a good one. Ricky. Ricky,
- 10:32Speaker 2: why is it great to be single?
- 10:34Speaker 11: Yeah, so this is coming from the perspective of a
- 10:37Speaker 11: happily married woman for like 10 years. But the only
- 10:41Speaker 11: thing that I can remember that was so great when
- 10:43Speaker 11: I was single was that I was an independent woman,
- 10:48Speaker 11: could do anything and everything. I could change the tire.
- 10:51Speaker 11: I didn't rely on anybody. Well, now my husband has
- 10:54Speaker 11: treated me like the princess that I am for so
- 10:55Speaker 11: many years that I don't lift a finger. I can't
- 10:58Speaker 11: do anything for myself. And so I'm like, if I
- 11:00Speaker 11: needed to change a tire, I can't. I'm not going to.
- 11:05Speaker 8: It's not that you can't it's that you won't well.
- 11:08Speaker 11: I i have been so like brainwashed by my loving
- 11:11Speaker 11: husband that i can't there like there's no way.
- 11:14Speaker 4: You forgot you forgot how to be independent yeah i
- 11:17Speaker 4: it's great.
- 11:17Speaker 11: To not be no more independence it's great to not be.
- 11:20Speaker 9: Single yeah exactly but well no because i i'm like
- 11:24Speaker 9: that was great about me i was You know, it
- 11:27Speaker 9: was strong. It was good. But now I'm like, oh,
- 11:30Speaker 9: you did this to me. You know, so now I'm like,
- 11:32Speaker 9: if we're fighting, I have to wait instead of just
- 11:34Speaker 9: doing it myself.
- 11:35Speaker 2: Okay, Ricky, hold on.
- 11:39Speaker 1: This whole thing started because my wife was talking about
- 11:41Speaker 1: one of her friends in her Mahjong group said it's
- 11:43Speaker 1: great to be single because there's no whiskers in your sink.
- 11:46Speaker 1: And by the way, because my wife loves Mahjong so much,
- 11:49Speaker 1: she has created... A special event at the Love Pup
- 11:53Speaker 1: shelter called Mahjong and Mutts.
- 11:55Speaker 4: Oh, fun.
- 11:57Speaker 2: So people can play. I think she's got like 10
- 11:59Speaker 2: openings left.
- 12:00Speaker 1: So if you go to Love Pup Foundation on Instagram,
- 12:03Speaker 1: you can sign up and you can play Mahjong with
- 12:05Speaker 1: my wife and her friends at the shelter in a
- 12:07Speaker 1: couple weeks or a week.
- 12:08Speaker 2: I don't know what's soon.
- 12:09Speaker 8: That is so creative of her. Like she is really...
- 12:13Speaker 8: being unique when it comes to getting these pups out
- 12:15Speaker 8: there and getting adopted and into homes.
- 12:17Speaker 2: It's either called Mutz and Majan or Majan and Mutz.
- 12:19Speaker 4: I love that.
- 12:20Speaker 2: Either way, it's good. I mean, it's a play on words.
- 12:22Speaker 8: It's great.
- 12:23Speaker 2: Yeah, so who should win the Becky G ticket, you guys?
- 12:26Speaker 7: I really am liking Sarah.
- 12:27Speaker 8: I know, Sarah's was so real.
- 12:29Speaker 4: So relatable.
- 12:30Speaker 2: Sarah, what was yours again? What was yours real quick?
- 12:34Speaker 5: Yeah, mine was you do not have to go into
- 12:38Speaker 5: a separate room simply to fart.
- 12:40Speaker 2: Hmm.
- 12:42Speaker 4: You probably got a lot of people thinking about breaking
- 12:45Speaker 4: up with their guy right now just for that reason.
- 12:46Speaker 9: Exactly.
- 12:48Speaker 5: Listen, on a side note, my sister-in-law has told me,
- 12:51Speaker 5: this is what she said, she has never, ever, in
- 12:53Speaker 5: her entire time being with my brother, ever farted in
- 12:56Speaker 5: front of him.
- 12:57Speaker 8: Ever?
- 12:59Speaker 1: Ever.
- 12:59Speaker 2: How's that possible?
- 13:01Speaker 5: I don't know if I believe it, but, like, I mean,
- 13:04Speaker 5: my brother has agreed. He's like, yeah, she's never done
- 13:06Speaker 5: it in front of me. And I'm like, you know,
- 13:07Speaker 5: I mean, good for her, but... Man, that must be
- 13:10Speaker 5: really tough to hold it in that many times.
- 13:11Speaker 2: All right, Sarah, hold on. We're going to set you
- 13:13Speaker 2: up with those Becky G's. Yes, Sarah, for the win.
- 13:17Speaker 8: Awesome.
- 13:17Speaker 10: Thank you.
- 13:18Speaker 4: The joys of being a single lady.
- 13:20Speaker 2: Hold on the line.
