- 0:08Speaker 1: Sure, it's time hell love, love and love and love
- 0:15Speaker 1: and love and love.
- 0:15Speaker 2: Hello. Welcome to the Naughty but now share your host,
- 0:18Speaker 2: Rob Shooter. It's Sunsday, which means our dear friend Mark
- 0:22Speaker 2: Lupo joins us. Hey, Lupi, lou are you there? Hello Loops?
- 0:27Speaker 2: How's your summer going? The hot girl summer, very hot
- 0:30Speaker 2: girl summer.
- 0:31Speaker 1: I'm going to the pool on Friday.
- 0:32Speaker 2: So oh now, when you say the pool, I think
- 0:35Speaker 2: that means Doris is pool. Assure me exactly right. Exclusive.
- 0:39Speaker 2: Doris is Mark's mommy. Hello Doris. She only listens to
- 0:43Speaker 2: the show on Thursday. So hello, hello, Hello. Let's jump
- 0:46Speaker 2: in and give Doris a good show. Doris, I think
- 0:48Speaker 2: if the show is not good today, you shouldn't invite
- 0:50Speaker 2: Mark to the po She loves it. You'll be Okay.
- 0:55Speaker 2: What time is it, my friends? It is tea time.
- 0:59Speaker 2: A really big and little bit of a petty story
- 1:01Speaker 2: at the top of the show, which, as you know,
- 1:02Speaker 2: are my favorite types of stories. So Travis Kelcey is
- 1:05Speaker 2: breaking his silence about the quote crazy wedding with Taylor Swift.
- 1:10Speaker 2: So who's doing interviews? He's back in the football game.
- 1:14Speaker 2: I think I've got that right, the NFL, So they're
- 1:17Speaker 2: gearing up. I guess to play some matches some games
- 1:20Speaker 2: do forgive me. I don't know anything about sports, so
- 1:22Speaker 2: I'm trying really hard here. However, they did a little
- 1:25Speaker 2: bit of a press conference. I get it. They've got
- 1:27Speaker 2: to sell tickets, got to get people excited. What are
- 1:29Speaker 2: they going to ask him about? Not if his quarter
- 1:33Speaker 2: back end tight end is going to go up the
- 1:37Speaker 2: left field. That's an example of thoughts that they're not
- 1:41Speaker 2: going to ask him about the game. They're going to
- 1:42Speaker 2: ask him about Taylor Swift. So they do ask him
- 1:45Speaker 2: about the wedding, and he replied with something that I
- 1:47Speaker 2: would not have liked had Bruce said this about awarding.
- 1:51Speaker 2: It was quote a crazy night. Oh I'm not quite
- 1:54Speaker 2: sure about that. That's what he said. And then he
- 1:56Speaker 2: did the one to say it was the best night
- 1:57Speaker 2: of my life. That's the right thing to say. Now,
- 2:00Speaker 2: there's lots of headlines out there that he's talking about
- 2:03Speaker 2: the wedding. Not exactly true, but he is mentioning you,
- 2:07Speaker 2: or at least he's answering questions about it. Well, I
- 2:10Speaker 2: know three people who are at the wedding who are
- 2:13Speaker 2: not that happy and I don't know if this is
- 2:17Speaker 2: right or wrong. This is going to be our whole
- 2:19Speaker 2: question of the day. They're saying, we signed a non disclosius,
- 2:23Speaker 2: we're not allowed to talk about it, and yet here
- 2:26Speaker 2: he is doing a press conference talking about it. So
- 2:29Speaker 2: does this mean now we can all talk about it
- 2:31Speaker 2: or is it still a big secret? You know, You're
- 2:34Speaker 2: got to cut them some grace here. It's their wedding,
- 2:36Speaker 2: So Travis and Taylor want to talk about it. They're
- 2:39Speaker 2: allowed to. It's their NDAs. But at the same time,
- 2:42Speaker 2: there's something here, Mark, there is something. If I make
- 2:46Speaker 2: everybody who comes to Botinos for a drink with me
- 2:49Speaker 2: sign an NDA, and then I go on television the
- 2:52Speaker 2: next morning and talk about the night, but you're not
- 2:55Speaker 2: allowed to talk about it, there's something I get. Drinks
- 2:58Speaker 2: at Botinos are not a wedding. I get it, But
- 3:00Speaker 2: you game where I'm going. There is something here? What
- 3:02Speaker 2: do you think there is?
- 3:03Speaker 1: But I think the good news here is that he
- 3:05Speaker 1: doesn't really He speaks in soundbites right, like he has
- 3:09Speaker 1: the wedding of the century and the only thing he
- 3:11Speaker 1: could muster up was crazy Night, Best Night, Like he
- 3:14Speaker 1: doesn't really have a lot going on there. You know,
- 3:17Speaker 1: I think about him. I think Viva Las Vegas, Like
- 3:21Speaker 1: what do they talk about when they go home? So
- 3:23Speaker 1: Taylor probably wasn't worried that he was going to like
- 3:25Speaker 1: spill specific details because I don't think he knows how
- 3:28Speaker 1: to do that.
- 3:29Speaker 2: You're saying he doesn't know how to talk, No, he doesn't.
- 3:33Speaker 2: He it's two people who work in the entertainment business.
- 3:37Speaker 2: He's kind of like a nightmare to interview because he
- 3:39Speaker 2: might give you anything. Can you imagine being on a
- 3:41Speaker 2: red carpet or sitting down an interviewing him. You're literally
- 3:44Speaker 2: gonna get a SoundBite. He talks in soundbites. Yeah, not good?
- 3:49Speaker 2: Like great, not good. What do you think about people
- 3:51Speaker 2: who are a little bit not angry but they did
- 3:54Speaker 2: have to jump through hoops to sign these NDAs? Do
- 3:57Speaker 2: you think now that the NDA is vull, can we
- 4:00Speaker 2: talk about it?
- 4:01Speaker 1: I just don't know that I really care At this point,
- 4:03Speaker 1: I feel like the wedding is it's We've moved past this.
- 4:06Speaker 1: It's been a month plus. You know, people live in
- 4:08Speaker 1: New York like us, were inconvenience by the You know,
- 4:12Speaker 1: either you tell us about it or I'm just gonna
- 4:14Speaker 1: move on with my lunch.
- 4:15Speaker 2: Is how I think that The only piece of this
- 4:18Speaker 2: puzzle that I'm dying to know about is a how
- 4:22Speaker 2: many drinks did Brad Pitt have? A? I do? I would?
- 4:26Speaker 2: I do? I want to see a picture of her dress.
- 4:28Speaker 2: I mean, he's gonna look like sort of old fish
- 4:32Speaker 2: in a white tuxedo. It's going to be very Saturday
- 4:34Speaker 2: night fever, I think for him, but I think she
- 4:38Speaker 2: might look incredible. I do want to see the picture, Tawn,
- 4:41Speaker 2: if you're listening, sh don't tell us anything more. We
- 4:44Speaker 2: don't care, but we would, we would like to see
- 4:46Speaker 2: a picture. And if anybody was sitting next to Brad
- 4:48Speaker 2: Pitt at the bar called me immediately, which brings us
- 4:52Speaker 2: to our pole question of the day. Travis loose lips,
- 4:56Speaker 2: sort of loose lips. He doesn't say very much. He does.
- 5:00Speaker 2: He means your impression of him man is going to
- 5:03Speaker 2: stick with me all day. So he's chatting about the wedding,
- 5:07Speaker 2: not saying too much, but he is talking about it.
- 5:10Speaker 2: Are the guests who signed NDAs? And I saying, well,
- 5:13Speaker 2: can we talk about it that? What do you think
- 5:15Speaker 2: should those guests who signed NDAs be allowed to talk
- 5:18Speaker 2: about this wedding that Travis is. What do you think?
- 5:22Speaker 2: Go vote on our ex page at Twitter page at
- 5:25Speaker 2: Naughty Nise rob Our Facebook page is a naughty gossip
- 5:29Speaker 2: and be sure to check back tomorrow. It's a good question.
- 5:32Speaker 2: Be sure to check back tomorrow to hear your results. Hey, Loops,
- 5:37Speaker 2: what are you working on? All right?
- 5:38Speaker 1: We're taking a love turn here. Rob Nick Reiner has
- 5:41Speaker 1: been accused of laying in wait for his parents before
- 5:44Speaker 1: their murder. Is very disturbing. So Nick Reiner is facing
- 5:48Speaker 1: a new more serious allegation and the deaths of his parents,
- 5:51Speaker 1: director Rob Reiner and Michelle Reiner. Now in a newly
- 5:55Speaker 1: unsealed indictment, it alleges that thirty two year old lay
- 5:58Speaker 1: in wait before his parents were fly step inside their
- 6:01Speaker 1: La home in December of twenty twenty five. Now, the
- 6:04Speaker 1: special circumstance allegation could make Yiner eligible for life without
- 6:08Speaker 1: role or even the death penalty if convicted, and Reiner
- 6:12Speaker 1: has pleaded not guilty and denies all the allegations.
- 6:15Speaker 2: What do you think, oh Mark, There's more to this
- 6:19Speaker 2: than we know, isn't there. We thought we knew everything
- 6:21Speaker 2: about this. There's been so much publicity, so much talk
- 6:24Speaker 2: about it, but now we're getting to see the real,
- 6:28Speaker 2: real mechanics, the machinery of the law and what's in
- 6:32Speaker 2: these indictments. And there is a shocking new allegation that
- 6:36Speaker 2: he was waiting for them. Does that mean he was
- 6:39Speaker 2: in the back garden waiting, Was he in the house
- 6:42Speaker 2: waiting for them? Was he in the bedroom in the
- 6:44Speaker 2: bathroom waiting for them to get to sleep before killing them?
- 6:48Speaker 2: This is going to be, I'm told from my sources,
- 6:52Speaker 2: absolutely excruciating, and the detail that they believe they have
- 6:57Speaker 2: for the prosecution, believe they have details that are gonna
- 7:02Speaker 2: be absolutely mind blowing. I didn't believe that this case
- 7:07Speaker 2: could get any worse. I just didn't. Two people dead
- 7:10Speaker 2: in their beds, two loving parents, and the Sun has
- 7:13Speaker 2: been accused of killing them.
- 7:15Speaker 1: That's bad.
- 7:16Speaker 2: That's bad enough. Now finding out that he was waiting potentially,
- 7:21Speaker 2: and that changes everything, Mark, because if you are waiting,
- 7:25Speaker 2: it was premeditated. It wasn't spur of the moment. We
- 7:29Speaker 2: all remember they had a huge fight at Conan O'Brien's party.
- 7:32Speaker 2: I'm not making any excuses for this, absolutely not. But
- 7:35Speaker 2: there's a difference between losing your temper, losing your mind
- 7:38Speaker 2: and doing something horrific and planning it. And it looks
- 7:43Speaker 2: here as if this was planned. Don't forget too Mark.
- 7:47Speaker 2: After the murder, there's video footage of him in clean clothes.
- 7:52Speaker 2: He must have changed out of the clothes he would
- 7:55Speaker 2: have been covered in blood. There's gas station footage of
- 7:58Speaker 2: him walking around with a backpack in clean clothes. We're
- 8:01Speaker 2: going to find a lot more about this, and it
- 8:03Speaker 2: is not going to be pretty okay moving along. Oprah
- 8:06Speaker 2: Winfrey has pretty much cut off Doctor Phil and Dr Oz.
- 8:10Speaker 2: But they're saying that their politics have nothing to do
- 8:14Speaker 2: with her. We're not at political shows, so don't get
- 8:16Speaker 2: nervous here. But there's something really interesting here. So Oprah's
- 8:19Speaker 2: drawing a line between herself and the political paths that
- 8:22Speaker 2: two people that she helped create have taken. And that
- 8:25Speaker 2: would be doctor Phil and Dr Oz. So she helped
- 8:28Speaker 2: really launch well not really, she did. She launched both
- 8:32Speaker 2: of these men into TV stardom. Oprah's now saying that
- 8:36Speaker 2: what they do now is their responsibility, which I do understand.
- 8:38Speaker 2: She said the following to Emmy Magazine quote. Everybody has
- 8:42Speaker 2: their own path in life, and it is not one
- 8:45Speaker 2: thing to do with me, and it has not one
- 8:48Speaker 2: thing to do with me. So she's saying that you
- 8:51Speaker 2: can work with people and then they go on and
- 8:53Speaker 2: do other stuff. I was thinking about this because a
- 8:56Speaker 2: lot of people blame Oprah for what they don't like
- 8:59Speaker 2: about Doctor Phil and mister Oz doctor asked, She's basically saying,
- 9:05Speaker 2: they worked with me, they really worked for me, and
- 9:08Speaker 2: then after the show ended, I'm not responsible for the
- 9:11Speaker 2: rest of their lives and the rest of their decisions.
- 9:14Speaker 2: I think she's making a valid point. What do you
- 9:16Speaker 2: think I do too?
- 9:17Speaker 1: I listen, I was a fan of both of them
- 9:19Speaker 1: for many years. I watched their shows, and then you know,
- 9:22Speaker 1: they turned out to be other people. They've evolved into
- 9:25Speaker 1: something else, and Oprah can't be held accountable for that. However,
- 9:28Speaker 1: I do question, you know, were these people doctor phild
- 9:32Speaker 1: doctor As they have certain beliefs they didn't share the public,
- 9:35Speaker 1: but Obra knew about. I mean, I can't imagine they
- 9:39Speaker 1: turned into completely different people over you know, it's possible
- 9:42Speaker 1: that they were, you know, behind the scenes in a
- 9:44Speaker 1: certain way.
- 9:45Speaker 2: Open. Oh that's so interesting, Mark. You're right. People don't change,
- 9:50Speaker 2: particularly middle aged people like doctor Phil and doctor Os
- 9:54Speaker 2: they were not teenagers went O per met them. They
- 9:56Speaker 2: were very well established in their careers. In fact, that's
- 9:58Speaker 2: part of the reason she had them on the show,
- 10:00Speaker 2: because they were experts. She had a criminal case in
- 10:04Speaker 2: Texas and doctor Phil was brought on to help her
- 10:07Speaker 2: with that case. And so you don't bring on somebody
- 10:10Speaker 2: who's an amateur, somebody that's started their career to work
- 10:13Speaker 2: with Oprah Winfrey. So he was already very established. So
- 10:16Speaker 2: did their views change or did they always have these views?
- 10:19Speaker 2: Most likely they always had them. And if you had them, yes,
- 10:23Speaker 2: she might have kept them under wraps on camera. What
- 10:25Speaker 2: you presented on the TV show might have been different.
- 10:28Speaker 2: But people we've worked with Mark I know who they are.
- 10:31Speaker 2: You don't have to be on television to know that.
- 10:34Speaker 2: You might work with somebody in a restaurant, a bar,
- 10:36Speaker 2: or shop. When they're on the shop floor, they might
- 10:40Speaker 2: put on a very professional face. But when you go
- 10:42Speaker 2: back and sit in the breakroom, I've been in them.
- 10:44Speaker 2: You sit in a break room, they tell you who
- 10:47Speaker 2: they are. So the question is did she know did
- 10:51Speaker 2: she know? And then the big question is and if
- 10:53Speaker 2: she did know, is she now comfortable with giving them
- 10:57Speaker 2: a stage to make them into superstars. The power of
- 11:01Speaker 2: Oprah wouldn't free. She just celebrated her fortieth anniversary in Chicago.
- 11:06Speaker 2: I have a story up about it on my substucu.
- 11:07Speaker 2: It is interesting that neither doctor Phil nor doctor raz
- 11:11Speaker 2: Or the union. But it is interesting and it's a
- 11:15Speaker 2: bigger question, isn't it. What sort of responsibility do we
- 11:19Speaker 2: hold for people who we work with. They're not family members.
- 11:24Speaker 2: These are you can't say coworkers because she was the boss.
- 11:28Speaker 2: They weren't producers that worked on the show. It is
- 11:30Speaker 2: Oprah fascinating. Okay, moving along. We broke this news three
- 11:35Speaker 2: days ago. We told you first that this was going
- 11:37Speaker 2: to happen, and now it has. What am I talking about?
- 11:41Speaker 1: I try to impress Helton's mother is stepping in to
- 11:44Speaker 1: protect your grandchildren following the celebrity blogger bloggers recent mental
- 11:48Speaker 1: health crisis. Now Teresa Tia lavenderra file for temporary custody
- 11:53Speaker 1: of praises three children on August seventh, and the core
- 11:56Speaker 1: documents show that Helped in voluntarily consented to the arena
- 12:00Speaker 1: and this temporary order gives his mother the authority over
- 12:03Speaker 1: the children's medical care, education, and essential decisions.
- 12:07Speaker 2: M has to be Mark. We need somebody looking after
- 12:11Speaker 2: those kids. So everybody's talking about Perez, we should be.
- 12:14Speaker 2: No one's talking about those three kids. It's heartbreaking now.
- 12:21Speaker 2: Perez's mom has been in these children's lives a very
- 12:24Speaker 2: long time. Perez didn't just have a meltdown. It was
- 12:29Speaker 2: a long time coming. We've known Perez for twenty five
- 12:33Speaker 2: thirty years. He's always been erratic, He's always been unstable
- 12:38Speaker 2: in many ways. I can't imagine what that must be
- 12:41Speaker 2: like having a person like Perez as your parent. You
- 12:45Speaker 2: want stability, don't you. And so even on his good days,
- 12:49Speaker 2: there's a lot going on there. And I'm told his
- 12:53Speaker 2: mom was the constant, she was the rock, she was
- 12:56Speaker 2: the one that was with the children. Let's remember when
- 13:00Speaker 2: this most recent terrifying suicide attempt happened. The kids were
- 13:04Speaker 2: in the house when this started, and they got the
- 13:07Speaker 2: kids out of the house. So we broke this story
- 13:10Speaker 2: three days ago. I have sources deep within the Preres world.
- 13:13Speaker 2: I know him very well. I've not spoken to him,
- 13:15Speaker 2: I have texted him, and this is not the end
- 13:20Speaker 2: of the story. I would be very, very surprised if
- 13:23Speaker 2: he ever gets those kids back full time, and I
- 13:26Speaker 2: think that might be a responsible thing to do. It's hard,
- 13:29Speaker 2: isn't it, Mark, When you're talking about children and parents.
- 13:32Speaker 2: It's none of my business. It's their family. But I
- 13:34Speaker 2: want those kids protected.
- 13:35Speaker 1: I do too, And I think the positive here is
- 13:38Speaker 1: that he is agreeing prayers, is agreeing because he's voluntarily consented,
- 13:42Speaker 1: which is an important detail, because he's acknowledging I am
- 13:45Speaker 1: not fit to be appearing right now. And you know,
- 13:48Speaker 1: his mother is older, but she does seem to be
- 13:50Speaker 1: someone who's not looking to be in the spotlight. She's
- 13:52Speaker 1: not asking to do interviews. She's made sure that the
- 13:55Speaker 1: information sealed, so she is thinking of the best interest
- 13:58Speaker 1: of the kids by protecting their privacy.
- 14:00Speaker 2: You know, that is a very important point. Mark. Several
- 14:03Speaker 2: of my friends work on the big morning shows, and
- 14:05Speaker 2: they've all reached out to the mother, to the sister
- 14:08Speaker 2: for an interview they wanted. This story is getting a
- 14:10Speaker 2: lot of clicks, a lot of attention. I'm not sure
- 14:13Speaker 2: they particularly care about Perez, but they do care about viewers.
- 14:17Speaker 2: They want viewers, and this story is a hot story.
- 14:19Speaker 2: And so I know for a fact three three of
- 14:23Speaker 2: the big morning shows have reached out and they've turned
- 14:25Speaker 2: down all interview requests. They don't like the spotlight. Perez
- 14:29Speaker 2: will do an interview. The moment that he gets harried,
- 14:32Speaker 2: he'll do an interview. And I'm just you know, Perez
- 14:36Speaker 2: is who he is. We're trying to handle this with
- 14:38Speaker 2: more grace than he would have given us. Let's be honest,
- 14:40Speaker 2: if somebody else, if this had happened to somebody else,
- 14:42Speaker 2: he would not be so kind about it on his website.
- 14:45Speaker 2: So we're trying to be kind kind to him. But
- 14:48Speaker 2: there is an element to this, which is the children
- 14:52Speaker 2: that makes me just so sad. Okay, quickly, before we
- 14:55Speaker 2: get a break. Rod Stewart has canceled the rest of
- 14:57Speaker 2: his tour dates. He's had a heart procedure. God bless him.
- 15:01Speaker 2: He's eighty one years old. He said that after he recovers,
- 15:03Speaker 2: he's going to be back out on the road. They
- 15:05Speaker 2: just can't help themselves. But I think this is about
- 15:08Speaker 2: go and see your favorite pop stars now, because we're
- 15:11Speaker 2: all getting older. If you love cher if you love
- 15:14Speaker 2: Diana Ross, if you love Bette Middler, if you love Madonna,
- 15:18Speaker 2: they can't do this forever. Elton Chahn, I'm so grateful
- 15:23Speaker 2: Billy Joel that we've got to see Mark, some of
- 15:26Speaker 2: the greats. So honestly, if you want to see one
- 15:31Speaker 2: of your favorite pop stars, don't delay, buy that ticket
- 15:36Speaker 2: and go and have a fabulous, fabulous night. Okay, we're
- 15:39Speaker 2: going to take a quick break and we will be
- 15:41Speaker 2: right back. Welcome back to the Naughty but Nice Sham.
- 15:45Speaker 2: Your host? Will she say, hey, let's get to the poles?
- 15:51Speaker 2: Thank you, Mark. Last share we took about Sarah pak Said,
- 15:54Speaker 2: Duchess of York, jetting off to Portugal to meet her
- 15:57Speaker 2: newest granddaughter, so she doesn't want to meet them in
- 15:59Speaker 2: the UK. Vicious, frightened she'll be arrested. Can you a gently?
- 16:03Speaker 2: This is where we are with the royal fabula? I
- 16:04Speaker 2: mean that is such a sentence. Should she return to
- 16:07Speaker 2: the UK and answer police questions? They've got a lot
- 16:10Speaker 2: of questions for Sarah. She's hiding in Europe, she's having
- 16:13Speaker 2: to sneak into Portugal to meet her granddaughter. She's not
- 16:18Speaker 2: going back to the UK. Should she? Ninety five percent?
- 16:22Speaker 2: That might be the highest vote we've ever had. Said yes,
- 16:25Speaker 2: go and answer the questions. If you're innocent, go and
- 16:28Speaker 2: help Go and answer the questions. If you're guilty, then
- 16:32Speaker 2: you're going to be caught eventually, Sarah, you can't hide
- 16:36Speaker 2: from this. Hey, don't forget to vote on today's Paul.
- 16:40Speaker 2: It's an interesting questions today about non disclosure agreements and
- 16:44Speaker 2: whether or not you should sign one, whether or not
- 16:46Speaker 2: they hold What do you think? Go vote on our
- 16:49Speaker 2: ex page at Twitter page at Naughty Noise. Rob Our
- 16:53Speaker 2: facebook page is Naughty Gossip and be sure to check
- 16:56Speaker 2: that tomorrow to hear your results. And now ask favorite
- 17:00Speaker 2: part of the show. It's time for nicest of the day.
- 17:06Speaker 1: Oh very sweet. So John Voyd has reacted to his
- 17:10Speaker 1: son James Haven coming out as gay. Oh how you doing, James?
- 17:16Speaker 2: How you doing? How you doing it?
- 17:18Speaker 1: So? James Haven is expected he expected a difficult conversation
- 17:21Speaker 1: with his father, John Boyd after coming out as gay,
- 17:23Speaker 1: but instead he got a surprisingly emotional response, M I
- 17:28Speaker 1: finally know who you are before he told his son.
- 17:31Speaker 1: According to Haven, Haven then went on to say that
- 17:35Speaker 1: the reaction was affirming and that Void told him now
- 17:38Speaker 1: he understood why he had always been so private.
- 17:40Speaker 2: Oh this is so sweet. I'm glad that he is
- 17:45Speaker 2: living his truth? Is that how we say it? I'm glad.
- 17:47Speaker 2: I think we sort of suspected, but I'm I'm glad
- 17:49Speaker 2: that he's ad. You know, it's a tricky one, isn't it.
- 17:52Speaker 2: Do you Should you give your parents the opportunity to
- 17:56Speaker 2: embrace you or deny you, And then should the parents
- 18:00Speaker 2: build an environment where you feel safe enough to tell
- 18:03Speaker 2: them something? You know what I mean? Like I wish
- 18:05Speaker 2: I had given I didn't give my dad, at least
- 18:08Speaker 2: my mom I did, But I didn't give my dad
- 18:09Speaker 2: the chance to push me away because I just never
- 18:12Speaker 2: dealt with it. I just kept it sort of like
- 18:13Speaker 2: a secret from my dad. Obviously he now knows. May
- 18:16Speaker 2: he rest in peace, but he knew. But at the
- 18:20Speaker 2: same time, the other part of that equation is my
- 18:23Speaker 2: dad didn't exactly provide an environment that was very welcoming
- 18:26Speaker 2: for that conversation. You know your family's beliefs. We were
- 18:30Speaker 2: saying this earlier about Oprah and doctor Phil. You know
- 18:33Speaker 2: what they believe. They might not say it in public,
- 18:35Speaker 2: but when you live in a house with somebody, you
- 18:38Speaker 2: know if they don't like gay people, and if they
- 18:40Speaker 2: don't and if they say awful things when somebody gays
- 18:43Speaker 2: on television or somebody is in a newspaper. You don't
- 18:47Speaker 2: reveal that part of yourself you're coming out. It was
- 18:49Speaker 2: pretty easy, wasn't it, Mark.
- 18:51Speaker 1: It wasn't as complicated. But you know, I think as
- 18:53Speaker 1: a gay person in the world, you had many moments
- 18:56Speaker 1: of coming out, whether it be your your parents, your friends,
- 18:58Speaker 1: as people you work with, whatever, and so it's it
- 19:01Speaker 1: is difficult. And to your point, I did. I didn't
- 19:03Speaker 1: realize she was not in the classt. I thought he
- 19:06Speaker 1: was a gay man. But it just shows how nuanced
- 19:08Speaker 1: and difficult these moments can be for someone, even in
- 19:11Speaker 1: their own family.
- 19:12Speaker 2: Yes, I've got this delicious story I'm working on for
- 19:15Speaker 2: my sub stack. So I have great Angelina Jolie Saucers
- 19:18Speaker 2: who really love us. They never told me anything bad.
- 19:20Speaker 2: It's always very positive. But that's you know what sources do.
- 19:22Speaker 2: That's why you have to have their sides. They said
- 19:25Speaker 2: that she is thrilled that she has known a while
- 19:27Speaker 2: and now she's tried to set him up on dates
- 19:30Speaker 2: with some of because she knows every gay bad in
- 19:32Speaker 2: the Hollywood, every hairdresser. That's the stereotype. But you know
- 19:34Speaker 2: what I mean, she knows a lot of fabulous gay people.
- 19:37Speaker 2: So you're a good hands matchmaker, Angelina Lovely, Let's do
- 19:44Speaker 2: a naughty is the day? Oh, naughty, naughty, naughty CBS
- 19:48Speaker 2: is the naughtiest of the day. They've got hotspur. If
- 19:51Speaker 2: you don't know what that is, it means balls. Basically,
- 19:53Speaker 2: they have got hotspur because Stephen called their show that
- 19:58Speaker 2: they canceled now pushing for any consideration. So there's a
- 20:03Speaker 2: whole campaign to get the Late Show an Emmy Award.
- 20:08Speaker 2: Now this is they probably get a weird it's a
- 20:11Speaker 2: great show, but it has been canceled. They decided to
- 20:15Speaker 2: enter in May, and now CBS wants the prestige of
- 20:18Speaker 2: an Emmy Award without having to keep the show alive
- 20:23Speaker 2: TV Networks market. They do make me chuckle. They are
- 20:27Speaker 2: bold CBS. That's goods. Let's saend with a moment. Half rub,
- 20:33Speaker 2: you're gonn rub, You rub your rub. You need to
- 20:35Speaker 2: develop a strong opinion of yourself. If you don't develop
- 20:39Speaker 2: a strong opinion of yourself, you start absorbing everybody else's projections.
- 20:43Speaker 2: So what they think, what they want you to be,
- 20:45Speaker 2: is who you become. Their doubts become your doubts, their
- 20:49Speaker 2: criticisms become your inner voice. Their limitations become the boundaries
- 20:54Speaker 2: that you live inside. You don't need everyone to understand you,
- 20:58Speaker 2: but you do need to understand you when you trust
- 21:02Speaker 2: your own judgment other people's opinions. This is so important.
- 21:06Speaker 2: Become information, not instructions. I ask opinions all the time,
- 21:11Speaker 2: but then I decide which ones I'm going to take.
- 21:14Speaker 2: Just because you give me your opinion doesn't mean you're right.
- 21:19Speaker 2: Some of the auties have noticed that I've become an
- 21:21Speaker 2: opinion writer over the last couple of weeks, and I'm
- 21:24Speaker 2: loving it. But it's just my opinion. It's not an instruction.
- 21:28Speaker 2: It's what I think. But I know myself. So the
- 21:31Speaker 2: goal is not to become arrogant. Gosh, we've seen that
- 21:34Speaker 2: happen too many times. The goal is. The goal is
- 21:38Speaker 2: to become anchored, get to know yourself and develop a
- 21:42Speaker 2: strong opinion about who you are. Hey, that is it
- 21:45Speaker 2: for today. Thank you so much for listening to the
- 21:47Speaker 2: Naughty Bit nice with Robert Markshow were a production of
