- 0:00Speaker 1: So this game pits the two top two scoring offenses
- 0:06Speaker 1: in the Big 12, but it also pits two strong defenses.
- 0:10Speaker 1: What do you kind of expect? Which way will it
- 0:13Speaker 1: go on the spectrum?
- 0:14Speaker 2: Well, evenly matched. And so a lot of it comes
- 0:17Speaker 2: down to how good are you on special teams and
- 0:20Speaker 2: how disciplined are you. So much respect for their coaching
- 0:24Speaker 2: staff and how they do things.
- 0:27Speaker 3: They're very well coached. we're excited for what we've got
- 0:30Speaker 3: prepared as well. Morgan, when you look at coverage and
- 0:32Speaker 3: stuff on your team.
- 0:35Speaker 2: I know you guys like to play the press man,
- 0:37Speaker 2: but when do you think it's time to maybe switch
- 0:39Speaker 2: it up occasionally and throw in some zone? It all
- 0:43Speaker 2: depends on the situation, really, and what an offense is
- 0:46Speaker 2: trying to do to you. If you're constantly getting picked
- 0:52Speaker 2: or stuff that takes advantage of man coverage and you're
- 0:56Speaker 2: not being able to pass stuff off, then it's probably
- 0:59Speaker 2: time to mix it up. But we also have to
- 1:02Speaker 2: be better with communication across the board.
- 1:06Speaker 3: What's been the response from the players this week at practice?
- 1:10Speaker 3: It was awesome.
- 1:11Speaker 2: Very good practice today. Now it's got to translate. They
- 1:16Speaker 2: haven't had a bad practice.
- 1:18Speaker 3: It's been really good. We've got very good leaders, so
- 1:23Speaker 3: that's not an issue where coaches have to be cheerleaders.
- 1:26Speaker 3: It's just a matter of getting.
- 1:27Speaker 1: The work in. You knew that eventually as the season
- 1:30Speaker 1: progressed that you'd have a game that went down to
- 1:33Speaker 1: the wire. What do you feel like the team learned
- 1:36Speaker 1: from having that experience where it was close down to
- 1:39Speaker 1: the final minute?
- 1:41Speaker 2: We've had adversity in different stretches. That was one of
- 1:46Speaker 2: the first times that we were down in the second half.
- 1:48Speaker 2: So it was good for those guys to be.
- 1:49Speaker 3: Able to fight back. You're trying to learn from every
- 1:54Speaker 3: mistake that you make, and not making.
- 1:56Speaker 2: The same mistake twice. That's part of our growth mindset.
- 2:03Speaker 2: It's okay to make mistakes, but you have to learn
- 2:06Speaker 2: from them, and that's what our guys are doing right now. Again,
- 2:09Speaker 2: we're excited for a new challenge. Guys came to work today,
- 2:12Speaker 2: and we'll be prepared for Saturday.
- 2:14Speaker 3: What stands out about their frontstop in Houston? Well, just
- 2:18Speaker 3: a lot like Colorado, very athletic on the edges.
- 2:23Speaker 2: They do a really good job of mixing up pressure
- 2:26Speaker 2: and foreman and going to an odd front. So a
- 2:29Speaker 2: lot of variety in what they do, and then they're
- 2:32Speaker 2: very sound on the back end.
- 2:34Speaker 3: Morgan, just kind of a bigger picture question. If the
- 2:36Speaker 3: need arised, how confident are you.
- 2:38Speaker 2: In Dylan Curtis to go out there and hit a
- 2:39Speaker 2: field goal if you guys.
- 2:40Speaker 3: Needed to win? Oh, man. Well, how many has he missed? One? Yeah,
- 2:45Speaker 3: very confident. I love that dude. Thanks, Morgan. Thanks, Morgan.
