The government and major banks are teaming up to help 750,000 young adults claim over $1.6 billion from forgotten Child Trust Funds—accounts set up for kids born 2002–2011. Many of these savers, now in their early 20s, could be owed up to $2,200 each, with some accounts holding much more. A new taskforce is simplifying the process, sending letters to eligible 21-year-olds and removing barriers to access.
