The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, DIWA,
• 0:10
they recently celebrated something really special,
• 0:13
the 54th UAE National Day. Yeah, the celebration
• 0:18
was held under the theme United, and it brought
• 0:22
together all of Diwa's leadership and employees.
• 0:25
The main event at the headquarters was attended
• 0:28
by His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al -Tayr, who
• 0:31
is the MD and CEO. Wow. And they had all these
• 0:35
patriotic segments, even a really notable poetry
• 0:38
session. So on the occasion of Eid al -Ithihad,
• 0:42
His Excellency Al -Tayr. He extended his congratulations
• 0:46
to the UAE leadership. Right. And he delivered
• 0:50
this really poignant message about the nation's
• 0:54
journey. Corey, can you share some of what he
• 0:58
said? Of course. He said. Eid al -Etihad is a
• 1:02
national occasion that renews our faith in the
• 1:05
strength of our unity and the depth of our cultural
• 1:08
identity. And it reaffirms the enduring values
• 1:12
that guide the blessed journey, the one that
• 1:14
began with the founding of the UAE by Sheikh
• 1:16
Zayed and Sheikh Rashid, the founding fathers.
• 1:19
He said they instilled a spirit of determination,
• 1:23
loyalty, and belonging in the people. And that
• 1:26
this spirit is just getting more deeply rooted
• 1:29
under the current wise leadership, which has
• 1:32
made the UAE a success story for the world. The
• 1:35
whole theme, united, just reaffirms that unity
• 1:38
is their source of strength. Right, right. And
• 1:42
it ensures the UAE flag remains a symbol of pride
• 1:46
and leadership as they work towards a safe and
• 1:49
prosperous nation that inspires everyone. That's
• 1:53
a really powerful reflection on the nation's
• 1:56
foundations. And he also talks about the future,
• 2:00
right? About renewing a collective determination.
• 2:05
Yeah, he did. He added, on this day. We recall
• 2:11
the glories of the past, celebrate the achievements
• 2:14
of the present, and we renew our determination
• 2:16
to create a future worthy of all Emiratis. We
• 2:20
reaffirm that we'll continue to work in unity,
• 2:23
loyal to our country and its leadership, and
• 2:26
sincere in our giving. always striving to keep
• 2:30
the UAE at the forefront as a nation that embraces
• 2:33
the future. He ended by asking Allah to protect
• 2:37
the homeland and to continue to bless it with
• 2:40
security, safety, and prosperity. And it sounds
• 2:44
like these celebrations were everywhere, not
• 2:47
just at HQ, but across a bunch of Diwa centers
• 2:51
from all the way to the Mohammed bin Rashid Al
• 2:56
Maktoum Solar Park, really embodying that whole
• 3:00
spirit of unity. A really fitting tribute to
• 3:05
the nation's past, present, and its future.
