- 0:00Speaker 1: Live from the WOR LifeVac Studios, Mark Simone. Well, Ann Coulter,
- 0:08Speaker 1: the best-selling author, the great columnist. Make sure you follow
- 0:12Speaker 1: her on Twitter. Ann Coulter is very good on Twitter.
- 0:15Speaker 1: And even better is her Substack. You've got videos and
- 0:18Speaker 1: podcasts and columns and interviews. AnnCoulter.Substack.com. Then she's got a
- 0:25Speaker 1: Rumble channel. You can watch her on Rumble. There's a
- 0:27Speaker 1: lot of good stuff up there. Ann Coulter, how are
- 0:30Speaker 1: you doing? Fantastic.
- 0:32Speaker 2: How are you, Mark Simone?
- 0:34Speaker 1: I'm good. I'm good. I don't like this fall coming
- 0:36Speaker 1: in so fast. Do you hear that? They were talking
- 0:38Speaker 1: about Halloween and the Christmas trees coming to Rockefeller Center,
- 0:42Speaker 1: and this is going way too fast, isn't it?
- 0:45Speaker 2: Oh, that's fantastic. We can go see the tree together again.
- 0:49Speaker 2: I love the tree.
- 0:50Speaker 1: It's the same tree every year. You've seen it a
- 0:53Speaker 1: hundred times.
- 0:53Speaker 2: I know. Yes, it's the same Christmas decorations, and it's
- 0:59Speaker 2: so pretty. I love New York City at Christmastime. Oh,
- 1:02Speaker 2: you're such a curmudgeon.
- 1:03Speaker 1: Oh, well, hey, what's going on in Florida? This governor's
- 1:07Speaker 1: race is Byron Donalds. He should have been a shoo-in.
- 1:09Speaker 1: Now he's battling and fighting. What's going to happen down there?
- 1:16Speaker 2: I don't know. I assume a Republican will win. I mean, DeSantis,
- 1:21Speaker 2: not necessarily because of, although Byron is fine. But DeSantis
- 1:27Speaker 2: has just worked miracles in that state. He has turned
- 1:31Speaker 2: it from purple to trending blue to really pretty solid
- 1:37Speaker 2: red now. And it's hard for me to believe that
- 1:44Speaker 2: his opponent is going to win.
- 1:48Speaker 1: He's not the best.
- 1:48Speaker 2: I don't think any Democrat can win. Maybe I'm wrong
- 1:51Speaker 2: about that, and I've put too much stock in DeSantis.
- 1:55Speaker 2: I mean, the sad thing is, even thinking about it,
- 1:57Speaker 2: it's just heartbreaking that DeSantis can't run for another term.
- 2:01Speaker 2: I will remind you, I have always been against term limits.
- 2:04Speaker 2: I know Republicans tend to think, maybe Democrats do too,
- 2:08Speaker 2: that it's like this silver bullet solution to avoid corruption. No,
- 2:12Speaker 2: it really isn't. States that have term limits are about
- 2:18Speaker 2: the same as states that don't, or surprisingly don't. The
- 2:23Speaker 2: senators you remember are the ones who are long-serving, but
- 2:28Speaker 2: there does tend to be a lot of turnover. But
- 2:31Speaker 2: the main thing is, once you get a really great
- 2:33Speaker 2: senator or a really great governor, you want to keep them.
- 2:38Speaker 2: I wish we could have kept Bloomberg as mayor of
- 2:40Speaker 2: New York. Think how wonderful that would have been.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, but what you're talking about is like one
- 2:47Speaker 1: out of 5,000 politicians that you want to keep.
- 2:51Speaker 2: The ones that aren't that great, the turnover is much,
- 2:54Speaker 2: I don't have it off the top of my head.
- 2:57Speaker 2: I have looked this up before. But the average number
- 3:00Speaker 2: of years in the Senate for all senators and the
- 3:04Speaker 2: average number of years in the House is not that long.
- 3:08Speaker 2: You'd be surprised because you forget the names of the
- 3:10Speaker 2: guys who only serve a term. I work for a
- 3:13Speaker 2: senator who served a term. Nobody remembers his name.
- 3:15Speaker 1: Yeah, that's true. Hey, I found this fascinating, the AI
- 3:20Speaker 1: meeting yesterday. They assembled the 12 most brilliant human beings
- 3:25Speaker 1: in the history of the world, the greatest geniuses ever,
- 3:28Speaker 1: what to do about AI. Do you know what they
- 3:30Speaker 1: came up with at the end? They're going to have
- 3:32Speaker 1: a committee and then have a panel. This is what
- 3:35Speaker 1: they came up with? We could have thought of that.
- 3:39Speaker 2: No, I actually, you will be pleased to hear this, Mr. Simone.
- 3:43Speaker 2: You know, I do voice my criticisms of the president
- 3:46Speaker 2: when I have them. This is something he has been
- 3:50Speaker 2: absolutely fantastic on and so much better than many, many,
- 3:54Speaker 2: many other Republicans. So much better than, for example, Fox
- 3:57Speaker 2: News and other conservative alleged spokesmen. And that is on
- 4:03Speaker 2: this AI business. Trump is right. The populists are wrong.
- 4:09Speaker 2: And what a real leader does is tell them they're
- 4:12Speaker 2: wrong and explain to them why they're wrong. Right. I
- 4:16Speaker 2: get sick of politicians and pundits who just stick their
- 4:21Speaker 2: finger in the air, figure out which way the wind
- 4:23Speaker 2: is blowing. No, this isn't the job of the average
- 4:28Speaker 2: man on the street who has other things to do,
- 4:31Speaker 2: like his job. Your job is to understand things and
- 4:36Speaker 2: to explain why this is a terrible idea to have regulation.
- 4:41Speaker 2: as I have done in my last two columns on this,
- 4:44Speaker 2: which you can see at my sub-sack, AnnCoulter.sub-sack.com, and AnnCoulter.com.
- 4:52Speaker 2: Regulation is just a way for the oligopolists to maintain
- 4:57Speaker 2: their monopoly. The big guys love regulation. It's the little
- 5:04Speaker 2: upstarts who might be able to beat them. The competition...
- 5:08Speaker 2: That's what regulation is about. And this is utterly, completely preposterous,
- 5:14Speaker 2: this idea that, oh, AI, it could kill us all.
- 5:18Speaker 2: The guy from Anthropica was going around saying that, Jacob Cochran,
- 5:22Speaker 2: all over the news. He was like, I don't know,
- 5:26Speaker 2: the new, what was the name of that guy who
- 5:29Speaker 2: went to prison and the Democrats wanted to run for
- 5:31Speaker 2: president against Trump?
- 5:33Speaker 1: Oh, Avenatti, Avenatti.
- 5:36Speaker 2: Yeah, he's the new Michael Avenatti for every channel. He's
- 5:40Speaker 2: even on the cartoon channel. AI is going to kill
- 5:43Speaker 2: us all. And, you know, he kept bragging about how
- 5:46Speaker 2: he resigned from Anthropocene. He has no equity. He has
- 5:50Speaker 2: nothing to gain from going around saying this is dangerous, dangerous. But, no,
- 5:55Speaker 2: before that he worked for OpenAI, and he does have
- 5:58Speaker 2: stock in OpenAI. You drive the stock prices up by
- 6:03Speaker 2: acting like this technology is so incredibly powerful that it
- 6:09Speaker 2: could destroy the world. Oh, my gosh, you've got to
- 6:11Speaker 2: invest in that. Who knew this was more powerful than
- 6:14Speaker 2: a nuclear bomb? Well, as I wrote in my column
- 6:16Speaker 2: last week, not the first column explaining the regulation point,
- 6:20Speaker 2: I just went through a bunch of questions I've asked.
- 6:23Speaker 2: of Google AI and the absurd politically correct answers and refusal,
- 6:30Speaker 2: refusal to punctuate a column, just absurd answers you get
- 6:35Speaker 2: from them, as you probably know. All these AI systems
- 6:41Speaker 2: have been asked year after year after year to predict
- 6:44Speaker 2: what will happen in the Kentucky Derby. Now, maybe not
- 6:47Speaker 2: just the winner, but you get like the top five
- 6:50Speaker 2: questions and they they are they put in all the
- 6:53Speaker 2: data that is what they are supposed to be so
- 6:55Speaker 2: great at they they they pour through they can analyze
- 6:58Speaker 2: just gobs and gobs of information that would have taken
- 7:02Speaker 2: miles of computers to analyze before, and all these different
- 7:06Speaker 2: news organizations ask them to look at track conditions, predictions, training,
- 7:11Speaker 2: you know, pedigree of the horse, everything you can possibly
- 7:14Speaker 2: look at. And every year, not only are the AL
- 7:18Speaker 2: predictions wrong, they're shockingly confident and detailed. And, you know,
- 7:24Speaker 2: at this pole, this horse will pull a head, and
- 7:27Speaker 2: then the other one will really kick in. and they
- 7:30Speaker 2: have been spectacularly wrong. I think I told you last
- 7:34Speaker 2: week about the Chevrolet dealership that used ChatGPT for help
- 7:38Speaker 2: with customer service. Can't they just explain how the car works?
- 7:42Speaker 2: And all these ChatGPTs at Chevrolet dealerships around the country,
- 7:48Speaker 2: they started selling $ 76, 000 cars for $ 1. That's how great
- 7:55Speaker 2: it's working. So that's why they want people and potential
- 7:58Speaker 2: investors to think, whoa, this is so powerful, it could
- 8:01Speaker 2: kill us all. No, it can't kill us all. So
- 8:03Speaker 2: Trump is right, and good for him. This is what
- 8:06Speaker 2: a leader is supposed to do.
- 8:09Speaker 1: Hey, Ann Coulter, did you see the Bruce Blakeman tax plan?
- 8:12Speaker 1: It's a phenomenal tax plan. No tax, people under $ 50, 000,
- 8:17Speaker 1: married couples, nobody under $ 100, 000 pays any tax. Amazing tax rates,
- 8:22Speaker 1: cut $ 20 billion out of it. Isn't that what all
- 8:25Speaker 1: the Republicans are supposed to be doing, pitching stuff like that?
- 8:29Speaker 2: Well, I kind of disagree with you on that. I
- 8:31Speaker 2: think everybody should have some skin in the game. That's
- 8:34Speaker 2: my complaint. It's one of my many complaints. I have
- 8:37Speaker 2: so many complaints with George Bush that this probably wouldn't
- 8:40Speaker 2: be in the top 50. But his big tax cut,
- 8:43Speaker 2: remember he was bragging about how he's going to knock 20%
- 8:48Speaker 2: of taxpayers. They don't have to pay any taxes. Well, okay.
- 8:52Speaker 2: And by the way, he gets no credit from the
- 8:54Speaker 2: New York Times for that. Zero. Zilch. uh... but he's
- 8:57Speaker 2: just taken away one of republicans best issues when half
- 9:01Speaker 2: of americans art paying taxes they're not voting to lower
- 9:06Speaker 2: taxes so everybody get the poor people people at the
- 9:09Speaker 2: lower end of the airport making fifty thousand dollars they're
- 9:12Speaker 2: doing fine uh... but but but the lower half and
- 9:18Speaker 2: particularly poor people, get a lot more in government services
- 9:21Speaker 2: than the ones who are paying for those government services.
- 9:24Speaker 2: I think everybody needs to have skin in the game.
- 9:26Speaker 2: I'm against completely throwing everyone off.
- 9:28Speaker 1: That's a very good point. That's an excellent answer.
- 9:31Speaker 2: Tax rolls.
- 9:31Speaker 1: Wow. All right. Well, Ann Coulter, great stuff. Everybody follow
- 9:35Speaker 1: her on Twitter. And even better is her Substack. You
- 9:38Speaker 1: can go sign up for her Substack. She's got all
- 9:41Speaker 1: sorts of stuff on Substack. You go to anncoulter.substack. And
- 9:46Speaker 1: make sure to watch her Rumble channel. It's very good.
- 9:48Speaker 1: It's Ann Coulter on Rumble. A lot of stuff up there.
