- 0:41I'm like, duh. I mean, it's not Jabba.
- 0:44My name is not Jabba. So people are people are some,
- 0:49some people are just out there stupid, no offense, but every

- 1:49if you want it in all different colors, we can hook you up with
- 1:51it. You can get Jabba's ugly mug on
- 1:53one side and my beautiful head on the other, one way or
- 1:57another. I'm ugly.
- 1:58You're the pretty. One well, somebody, if I'm the
- 2:00mouth and your Jabba, they got to figure out the prettiness.
- 2:03So I guess I'm the purple, purple nurple.
- 2:06As we always said, we've had this we've had this argument
- 2:09before on the show as if my superhero name was a superhero
- 2:14name, it would be the purple nurple.
- 2:16I wear a lot of purple purple and and Speedy would be the
- 2:19purple nipple because he likes to suck.
- 2:21Them. No, we didn't bring that up to
- 2:22him. Well, I do believe Cocka.
- 2:26Doodle Doo Doo. Cocka Doodle Doo is definitely a
- 2:29sound to that. And Speaking of Cocka Doodle
- 2:31Doo, we call this Speedy 6 Pack. Let's have a sixer.
- 2:38Hey, who wants to play Drink the Beer?
- 2:39It's time for the Speedy 6 pack of the week.
- 2:45Pass Liquor. So theme for this week is the
- 2:48MLB draft. That was just yesterday.
- 2:50There's will be a lot of a lot of purple involved in that.
- 2:53That's called sex. Many different reasons for a lot
- 2:56of different contests, including one that Goody likes and Errol's
- 2:59paying homage to. All right.
- 3:02I hope not. Oh.
- 3:04There will be. All right, so the first one, as
- 3:09fish likes to allude to this. Makes my pecker hard.
- 3:12This is number six. I got the bubble.
- 3:15We'll. Start with a team that has some
- 3:16purple uniforms that probably got the most headlines for the
- 3:19draft. They're not doing much of the
- 3:20season, but they drafted Ethan Holiday, the Colorado Rockies at
- 3:23#4 the the son of Matt Holiday, who.
- 3:26He tastes himself. In 2007, the same year that he
- 3:30won the Home Run Derby and there's actually many pictures
- 3:33of him as a young kid that that that day first top five pick
- 3:37that is the son of a former baseball player and check out
- 3:39these stats. A 617 batting average, thirteen
- 3:43O 9 slugging percentage at 16 home runs at just 32 games.
- 3:46That's .5 home runs per game in his last year in high school
- 3:50baseball. So he is headed to the Colorado
- 3:52Rockies. Whoever wants to start?
- 3:54Any thoughts on that? It was it it made sense to me.
- 4:01I'll let you lick now. But after he fell to 4 the
- 4:08Rockies that that was their only choice is to take in.
- 4:13And I think he's he has a better has a better better structure
- 4:21than Jackson. I think he does pulled it out of
- 4:24my ass and he's bigger. He's bigger than Jackson.
- 4:30I'll let you lick my butt. Errol.
- 4:35Really I just, I just think his his structure and everything
- 4:41that he does. Like I I'd like Jackson's game,
- 4:48but I think Ethan is bigger than him and can actually make some
- 4:56sense in the game. I think Ethan, we'll see what
- 5:00how he turns out to be. Obviously Jackson hasn't had a
- 5:04good start. Now he's still very young and he
- 5:06will have a chance to develop in Baltimore is not an organization
- 5:10that usually develops players and when they do, they trade him
- 5:12away. I think Ethan is is in a good
- 5:15position where obviously he has a chance to really be better
- 5:19than his brother. We'll see how he he develops.
- 5:21He's got a great background of talent.
- 5:24His father was a great home run hitter, great hitter, won.
- 5:28It was actually took a team Colorado to the to the World
- 5:32Series, didn't win because they lost against Boston, but had a
- 5:35chance to win. And I think, you know, obviously
- 5:38Ethan has a tremendous amount of ability.
- 5:40So we'll we'll see how it all develops and how it pans out.
- 5:43I think both guys are going to have a very good chance to
- 5:45succeed in the major leagues. Pretty surprising he fell before
- 5:49is is what I got out of it. I thought he was going to go #1
- 5:52for sure, I said. I said the same thing.
- 5:54I talked to Scott Peterson. By the way, by the way, another
- 5:58another Long Islander was drafted at 38 or 39 to Detroit,
- 6:02the catcher. He was 3939.
- 6:04Hop Hog, New York and he's a catcher and has a chance to be a
- 6:09pretty good one too, so I. Wish nobody likes living in Long
- 6:12Island yeah, nobody likes living number #5 so that.
- 6:18Probably why that it was surprised that that holiday fell
- 6:20to the outside of the top three is because there was a little
- 6:23bit of a surprise at #1 by the nationals you guys mentioned.
- 6:26It before a. New new GM I'm taking over for
- 6:29Mike Rizzo. Smelled my ass.
- 6:31Relieved of his duties last week, but Eli Willits was the
- 6:34number one overall pick. He's the youngest player in the
- 6:36draft, 17 years, seven months old.
- 6:39So a lot of those guys didn't even finish high.
- 6:41School he he reclassified. He reclassified like you said,
- 6:45Jabba, it was a weird circumstance.
- 6:47So he probably should have waited until the 2026 draft but
- 6:50decided to go in this year. He's the 4th shortstop in the
- 6:53last 10 years that I'm going to ask the number one pick and
- 6:56there'll be another one with shortstops later.
- 6:58You know what I don't understand?
- 6:59There were a lot of shortstops drafted in the Top 40, and the
- 7:02Yankees took one of them. Who fell to the Yankees?
- 7:04Actually a good one. Why are the Yankees drafting?
- 7:07Every single year it seems like the Yankees draft a shortstop.
- 7:10It's it's, it doesn't make any sense.
- 7:12Why do? They no, because you take a
- 7:13shortstop that he's the best offender on his team.
- 7:16So you play him wherever you can after that.
- 7:18So if he could play shortstop at a lower level, he could play
- 7:21anywhere in the infield. You think maybe he's even could
- 7:23play center field for you. I think that just happens a lot
- 7:26in baseball job, But maybe you could speak to that a little bit
- 7:28more. No, and I agree with that.
- 7:31Like, you know, and, and my son is a short, he's 64200 and 15
- 7:37lbs and that's just kind of like the pedigree of what it is,
- 7:43right? And you get these guys that are
- 7:44656 takes and you know, the allegiated courses of the world.
- 7:48And you know, as we're watching the All Star game and, and, and
- 7:52all of that stuff, it's just it, it's, it's really like for me,
- 7:57like the draft is such an anomaly, right?
- 8:01It, it because we have no idea. Like we didn't expect those
- 8:04those first two picks. I'm going to tell you right now,
- 8:08you can talk to anybody that knows the game of baseball.
- 8:13We wouldn't expect Kai Willis to go 1 and Bremer and Bremner go
- 8:17to two. Fatty kick.
- 8:18At it, at it out of fucking Santa Barbara in the Big W to go
- 8:25over Kate Anderson like no chance.
- 8:29Like there's. No way.
- 8:31There's no way. Now Jabba, he wasn't in.
- 8:35He was not in my. The number two pick was not in
- 8:37my 6 pack, but I was. Seeing Breaking News 1.
- 8:40Of the biggest reaches. And you didn't?
- 8:43Speedy, you're telling me Bremner was in your top 10?
- 8:46No, no, I'm, I, I, no, I was reading about him.
- 8:48He. Was like in the fifth he.
- 8:50Was like a 15th ranked guy not at number. 10 I saw 18 for
- 8:54Bremner. I hope not.
- 8:56Commonly was it that like, was it that drastic of a reach from
- 8:59what you've heard about him Jabba like?
- 9:02Yeah, it, it, I think it's, I don't know what they were
- 9:07looking at from their side of like the draft part of it enjoy.
- 9:12But when when I look at it and I know the draft is such an
- 9:17anomaly. Let's not.
- 9:19But if I have an opportunity to take Kate Anderson out of the
- 9:23SEC where he's faced that talent, if you're not going to
- 9:27take Sniff Hernandez that you're it's a projectable arm, right?
- 9:31It's a projector and you're taking Brenner out of the Big
- 9:35West. I don't care.
- 9:37You had you had literally better choices.
- 9:41Yeah, I'm not one. To judge like would you not have
- 9:43taken? Him no, I think Kate and
- 9:46everything I was hearing was supposed to be that guy.
- 9:48I'm not as like bullish on like the conferences as much with
- 9:52like being a judgement of like this is the talent you face
- 9:55because we've talked about all the time in football too.
- 9:57How many quarterbacks that have played in weaker competition
- 9:59have still done well in the NFL? But right as much as no,
- 10:03everything I was hearing about Kate, and I'm going to get to
- 10:05him in a bit, is he was the surefire best pitcher.
- 10:09What a three. It just, it blew my mind like
- 10:13those first two picks, it was crazy.
- 10:15I wouldn't piss on him if he was on fire.
- 10:17No #4 So here's where. I'll go to Kate.
- 10:20It was an easy transition enough.
- 10:22He's the number three overall pick going to the Seattle
- 10:23Mariners. We seem to.
- 10:24I got to go back off now. Early in the draft too they the
- 10:27one year they drafted a good catcher, but they always dropped
- 10:30a lot of pictures too. One of them just came up this
- 10:32year and Emerson Hancock who was a top five pick and he's kind of
- 10:35that 6th fringe guy in their rotation but they dropped
- 10:38another one in Kate Anderson Java.
- 10:39Check out these stats 35 walks to 180 strikeouts.
- 10:43That's like 6 times the amount walk to strikeout ratio and here
- 10:47this we're talking about strikeouts per nine innings
- 10:49earlier 13.9 in 2024 and last year 13.6 just true insanity.
- 10:55Obviously putting up the numbers he did in the College World
- 10:57Series as well, leading LSU as Goody loves that and Errol
- 11:02wearing the Goodwood jersey. Yes, I'm wearing the Goodwood
- 11:04jersey. And again, we're we're talking
- 11:07about prospects. We don't know what these guys
- 11:09are going to turn out to be. And obviously the development of
- 11:13where they go, it's all depending on what organization
- 11:16they go to. There are certain organizations
- 11:18you don't want to go to, AKA the athletics that, you know, they
- 11:22bring up players, some of them, very few of them transition into
- 11:26any good or any decent players, but most of them are just
- 11:30absolutely do do They're crap as as we've seen over the years,
- 11:34there are organizations like the Angels.
- 11:36Another organization that don't, the last guy that they really
- 11:39brought up their turn into anything was Mike Trout.
- 11:42I mean, they just don't, they don't know how to draft.
- 11:44So it, it, it really Detroit's been really the, the
- 11:48organization you want to look at, you want to play for because
- 11:50they have developed very, very well.
- 11:52Seattle also another organization that develops
- 11:55Cleveland over the years developed players.
- 11:57So that's what you want to see. So, and then there's up and
- 12:00coming company, you know, play places like Cincinnati that look
- 12:03like they're, they're getting jump started over the last 2-3
- 12:07years. So the Yankees are always been
- 12:09an organization where you want to go.
- 12:11And even though they're another organization that doesn't
- 12:14develop very well, they're a good organization because
- 12:17there's most known and they're very respected not only in
- 12:21professional baseball, but professional.
- 12:23Sports yeah, you mentioned the Seattle, Seattle Mariners done a
- 12:25great job developing pitching recently as well.
- 12:28Like I said, a lot of high draft picks and.
- 12:29Cincinnati Another. One Cincinnati and.
- 12:31Other I love Lisa Ann. Flew under the radar for a
- 12:34while. He was not a big name prospect.
- 12:35He's having a tremendous year. There was no hitting the Yankees
- 12:38for a couple of while last week, but having a great year.
- 12:40Through 7 innings. 7 innings, yeah.
- 12:42Breaking news, I need Brittany also.
- 12:45Cincinnati, another one that I think has been unlucky with
- 12:47injuries in Detroit like Errol was mentioning.
- 12:49If they didn't get so unlucky with a lot of injuries in the
- 12:51beginning of this, this farm system might have happened two
- 12:54years even earlier being this good.
- 12:57You think you think it would have been earlier than that?
- 13:00Because they had KC Mize was he was stopped back by injuries.
- 13:04He's very good now. Matt Manning was another one
- 13:07that was good for the beginning of his career.
- 13:08I think he had multiple Tommy John surgeries and they had.
- 13:11A lot. Yeah.
- 13:13So I think they could have been this good like what the 2024
- 13:16version of them probably could have been that in 2022 there's a
- 13:19lot faster if it wasn't, they had a lot of prospects that were
- 13:22really unlucky with injuries. Not that other organizations
- 13:25don't put a lot of good ones with that.
- 13:28All right. #3 All right, let's. Shift to the local local teams,
- 13:32so the Yankees first. Round I am a legend.
- 13:34Dax, the first pick they made, Dax Kilby.
- 13:37This is a stat that actually was a high percentage among draft
- 13:40prospects this year. He has his 60 foot speed.
- 13:42So running base to base was in the 99th percentile among all
- 13:47draft picks this year, which Java like you're talking about.
- 13:49Maybe a lot of short stops get drafted early with the speed
- 13:52that they have. They were surprised he fell the
- 13:53way that he did. Yeah.
- 13:55And I guess you're maybe thinking that kind of thing
- 13:57because? That's the draft.
- 13:58That's a draft. And we're seeing more often with
- 14:02maybe even infielders converting the center, some of the
- 14:04experiments don't. Work.
- 14:05Do you know what they compare him to?
- 14:07His. His skill is Jacobi Gilsbury.
- 14:09Now hopefully he plays more consistent than Jacoby Ellsbury.
- 14:14Jacoby Ellsbury was also a center fielder.
- 14:16This kids a shortstop, but his bad speed, his ability to to run
- 14:20the things that he does very, very well on a baseball field.
- 14:23They compare his skill to Jacoby Ellsbury.
- 14:26Now Jacoby was a really good player early in his career until
- 14:30he came to the Yankees. Then he completely fell flat on
- 14:32his face. So I'm hoping that he's a Jacoby
- 14:36Ellsbury type of player, but they're saying that the he was,
- 14:40he should have been at the late teens, early 20s and he fell all
- 14:44the way to the Yankees in the 30s.
- 14:45So very surprised. And the Mets passed up on him,
- 14:48which I was surprised too so. I, I didn't get why the Mets
- 14:53passed on him. I didn't get that, that didn't
- 14:57that didn't make sense to me. Like, and I understand like a
- 15:00draft and and understand like when he was going through free
- 15:04agency, because that was a year in 2012 when, you know, Burger
- 15:08man was going for the Tribble crown and NVP and all that
- 15:13stuff. And what, what he had like 330
- 15:16was like 3031 or 32 Homer 33 maybe.
- 15:23But he was like a different bird.
- 15:27Well, we found out why he was a different bird.
- 15:30You said a different bird and I saw.
- 15:33Jurassic Park yesterday by the. Way he was, but he was, he was
- 15:37somebody I was never scared of like because I knew he had, he
- 15:43had one year where he was good. Bagel he was.
- 15:48He was salvageable through his other years, right?
- 15:54I have. I never, I never worried about
- 15:56that guy like I didn't like I knew when I faced.
- 15:59Him I was like, I'm good, like. I'm gonna throw a fastball away,
- 16:04probably he tasted some. Good.
- 16:07He wasn't Adam Lynch. You never had to worry.
- 16:09Oh no, as soon as I it was like, oh shit, we're we're faking Adam
- 16:14Lynn. No, I'm out.
- 16:15Like don't put me in against that guy cuz he's probably gonna
- 16:19hit home. He's.
- 16:20Probably getting home, run or stick his stomach up.
- 16:22His head. What would happen if we ended up
- 16:23getting Adam Lynn on this? Show you, got you.
- 16:25A double his career stats on you.
- 16:27Oh 100% like and Lynn's such a great dude.
- 16:30Like and I'm I'm actually I'll reach out to him, OK, because I
- 16:36love when we have this conversation on their shows.
- 16:39I had to take a shit of like guys like Lynn would literally
- 16:43like I tried to backdoor a curveball to him and he three, I
- 16:46gave up the booty there three round Homer off me and I'm like,
- 16:50I go. I tried to do the best I could.
- 16:53He likes the backdoor, everybody as we all.
- 16:55Know, but he like, he just knew, like he owned me, he owned.
- 16:59Me, he owned them back door wise.
- 17:01And I was like, you know what? I'm sorry, sorry.
- 17:04I'm like please take me off this.
- 17:06Take him back door, gave up the booty, you know, all that stuff.
- 17:12100% number two all. Right #2 we'll shift to the Mets
- 17:16he they passed up on kill beta draft Mitch voice.
- 17:19Again, I don't understand it. Look ahead.
- 17:21Yes, the Ghost 38 overall, the allegedly A2 Way player his
- 17:25first three years at first year at Wisconsin and then the last
- 17:28two years at Michigan. Instead, he should have been in
- 17:30the 50s or 60s. But did not pitch this last year
- 17:34so that was supposed to drop his.
- 17:36Value. But they took him as a pitcher,
- 17:37right? They took they they took him
- 17:40allegedly to try to redevelop his pitching.
- 17:42They say they're going to do that.
- 17:44I don't know how much I that's what they're going for is
- 17:48they're hoping that he could hit like a Jacob degrom to be that
- 17:51kind of hit. But the odds of that are not
- 17:53happening now. Degrom was not a high prospect
- 17:54either. Montero and Matt Harvey got all
- 17:56the hype at that time and obviously that didn't pan out,
- 18:00but here's one set for him. He has 93 percentage exit
- 18:03velocity to hit out of the infield, which means he succeeds
- 18:06on a lot of his line drive hits, singles and double s.
- 18:09Stop selling something that nobody gives a crap about.
- 18:12The fact is, and the Mets should never have passed up on the
- 18:15shortstop. They they had a chance to get
- 18:17him. This guy fell as as he he did in
- 18:21the draft. You draft the best guy on the
- 18:23board. That's baseball.
- 18:24You don't know what these guys are going to turn out to be.
- 18:26This guy might turn out to be a sensational pitcher, but you get
- 18:29the best and the most important piece to the puzzle.
- 18:32And this guy's a shortstop who could steal bases it for
- 18:36average, has an unbelievable swing.
- 18:39That's the way the Mets should have went pitching.
- 18:41You're reaching at the pitching position and this guy, you don't
- 18:44even know if he's going to be a pitcher.
- 18:46He could actually play in the field.
- 18:49He could fall, You know, he could fall off the grid.
- 18:51I, I think this is reaching. Bad move for the New York Mets.
- 18:55Made no sense. The Mets have had a lot of
- 18:57trouble developing homegrown position players.
- 18:59It's been a big problem for over a decade.
- 19:03Like, OK, so let me let me ask both of you, where do where do
- 19:06you think to like in obviously being a part of it, but where do
- 19:12you think that like where they can't develop them?
- 19:16Is it communication? Is it this them like having more
- 19:23sumptuous expectations of what they are they?
- 19:26Do. To why?
- 19:28Why don't they do that? Statistics.
- 19:29There is a level of hype that I think a lot of the Mets
- 19:31prospects when in the in the field have had because they're
- 19:34always, always developing. The young pitching was always
- 19:37their strength and throughout their history they've developed
- 19:39good pitching, but they're position.
- 19:40Players, but you said statistics Errol and and Speedy just being
- 19:47smart as he is in the game. Why is there not more feel of
- 19:54how the guys pitch like or how they go about their things
- 19:58because my spin rate wasn't great.
- 20:04Why did I play 11 years in the big leagues?
- 20:06Because. You liked?
- 20:07It in the I knew how to get people out.
- 20:09I knew how to get people out. And there was there was eyes on
- 20:13it. There was eyes on it.
- 20:14So that's I'll let you lick my butt.
- 20:16There's a level of smart pitching and that's the thing
- 20:18I've always taken shots at Noah Syndergaard for, because Noah
- 20:20Syndergaard had five pitches and only used two of them much of
- 20:24his career, the last three years of his career.
- 20:26And that's I think more on him than it is the Mets actual
- 20:28player development type thing. I think that's more on
- 20:30Syndergaard as a player himself. But no.
- 20:32But at the same time, too, you can't say it's only on us as a
- 20:36player. No, not every circumstance.
- 20:38But why wouldn't you be like, go, do, like go, go and do
- 20:45you're the best because we drafted you in this situation,
- 20:48right? Right, I'm saying.
- 20:50More but why wouldn't you pitch with what you have and only use
- 20:54a certain and I don't. I don't need your velocity, spin
- 21:00rate, all the other shit I could give two damn shits about.
- 21:06You take shit, you give me outs and you show it.
- 21:12I can stand in front of fish, hold it out of my I can stand in
- 21:16front of the arrow. If we're playing in a baseball
- 21:19game, my nipples hard get out. That's what I want to
- 21:23differentiate with the pitching development, the way the Mets
- 21:27have done it with their hitting. I think a lot of times they've
- 21:29done it with their hitting. They've tried to put them in
- 21:31circumstances because they've been a bad team for a while,
- 21:34that they're kind of being the face of the franchise right
- 21:36away. A lot of pressure.
- 21:37It's too much with statistics. I think that's what the Mets are
- 21:40doing. They they brought in a new
- 21:42owner. And.
- 21:44They're using, they're using the analytics to think that this guy
- 21:48is. They're going to be able to
- 21:49change him by using all the analytics and all the
- 21:52opportunities that they have with statistics that they have.
- 21:54They have all these mathematical guys as as Cohen has really put
- 21:59it together over the last couple of years.
- 22:00And maybe it's worked, but I think you're reaching with these
- 22:03statistics and you don't know what these guys are going to
- 22:05really transition into. I I, I, I agree with you 100%.
- 22:10Like and I I love the fact of like, there's like and we've
- 22:15talked about there is such an Ave. for analytics, but there's
- 22:21also an eye on the game, right? Remember when Snell was playing
- 22:28for the Rays and they took him out in the sixth inning because
- 22:33he had 90 was like 90 some pitches and they lost the game.
- 22:38Like have a feel for the game. Like have a feel for what you
- 22:43see. Like I sucked on paper.
- 22:47I was terrible. That's why they, that's why they
- 22:51liked Philip Hughes. They didn't like Jabba.
- 22:53They wanted Philip Hughes, Ian Kennedy.
- 22:55They were like, screw this guy, this fat guy from Nebraska who
- 22:58we drafted in the first round. You know, they wanted the Phil.
- 23:02They wanted the you baby. They wanted the you, baby.
- 23:05It was before me though, he. Was a cry.
- 23:07Yeah, well, I know. And he was a crybaby.
- 23:10He he, he definitely did a lot of that too, so.
- 23:13I love Phil he he is definitely soft.
- 23:16I like anal. And #1 you guys.
- 23:19Kind of touched it on it earlier.
- 23:20So it was a record setting first round for the shortstop
- 23:23position. 15 out of the 32 first round picks were shortstop,
- 23:27which is the most in MLB history.
- 23:28It broke the record by 411 were drafted in 2023.
- 23:32So what are the, what are the I know you mentioned the
- 23:34athleticism, the speed, like you think that's the main reason for
- 23:37the circumstances. Shortstop is the hardest
- 23:39position to play in professional baseball.
- 23:42It is. You're a.
- 23:43You're a absolute, absolute bull taste.
- 23:46Life and that and that's why that's why, cuz you could
- 23:49transition a shortstop to the outfield cuz he's a great yes
- 23:53cuz yes, I I believe the shortstop.
- 23:55You're saying that's the hardest position?
- 23:57Hardest defensively, yes, it's the hardest defensively to play
- 24:00and I, I. Because you're selling every
- 24:02catcher out. What every?
- 24:05That's the hardest position. I understand what you're going
- 24:09to say because he's the coaches ear and he's the coaches eye,
- 24:12but the hardest defensive position, the hardest defensive.
- 24:15Position is. That's the best.
- 24:18I think the shortstop is the best athlete and I'm.
- 24:22Agreeing with you, but. That's why because you can
- 24:25transition, but that's what I'm saying, you could transition a
- 24:28shortstop to another position and these guys that we've seen
- 24:32that was drafted this year or all guys that have very good
- 24:35strengths and and less weaknesses.
- 24:37That's why if you look at the short stops in this year's draft
- 24:40now this is not what a cut throat draft.
- 24:42I mean, they were like 3 good players in this draft and watch
- 24:45maybe one of them actually turns out to be a star.
- 24:48What I'm trying to say is these there's more shots shortstops
- 24:52that were drafted this year because there are a lot of
- 24:54athletes. Look at the Yankees, look at the
- 24:55kid that they drafted. He fell all the way to them and
- 24:59he should have been drafted in the the higher teens.
- 25:02He was a Volpe. Volpe was drafted what, 19?
- 25:05I think he was 19th in a draft or 18th.
- 25:07He was supposed to be. Was it 21?
- 25:10I don't even know. I thought it was 19 or 18 where
- 25:15he was drafted, maybe even less, but that's where I. 30th pick in
- 25:202019. All right, so, so, so I heard
- 25:25that this kid should have been 1819, somewhere in the late
- 25:28teens where he was drafted. Why he fell off, nobody knows.
- 25:32Even when, when when I was watching it, I was in Miller's
- 25:35Ale house and I was listening to him then.
- 25:36Nobody. Knows what he fell.
- 25:37They said I had a degenerative knee.
- 25:40I had bone replacement surgery when I was a sophomore in
- 25:42college and I was in the big leagues in 2 1/2 months.
- 25:47And they're like, what did we miss?
- 25:49What did we miss? I'm like, I don't, I don't know.
- 25:53This kid's from Georgia too, so I remember he came from Georgia.
- 25:56So and those and usually good joy, you know, good Atlanta guy.
- 26:00Kids baseball players that come from Atlanta are pretty damn
- 26:02good. So maybe the Yankees got it
- 26:04right. Maybe they hit gold like getting
- 26:06him and him falling. The Mets were absolutely stupid
- 26:09not drafting this guy. It made no sense.
- 26:11He could be, he could be a me for sure, 100%.
- 26:15All right, here we go. All right.
- 26:18Josh I want to read his comment Only one number one in the
- 26:20history is in the Hall of Fame drafted baseball is always a
- 26:23crap shoot 17 year old yeah, I think it was just surprising
- 26:26like that young for the. National.
- 26:27Was that Griffey number one over?
- 26:29I'm assuming he's saying Griffey.
- 26:31Yeah, it's Griffey, isn't it? He was 17 years old when he was
- 26:35drafted. So.
- 26:37So I can comment here I guess the tune jive for jazz and the
- 26:40dervish. How many you end up finishing
- 26:42with? Three, there was only three
- 26:45homies. It was terrible.
- 26:46Dude, nobody thought that Jizzy Jizzy was going to win,
- 26:50including yours truly. And yes, Josh, it was Griffey.
- 26:53It was plus 600I Griffey and $0.80.
- 26:55You got to put money. On I wasn't wasting my money or
- 26:58my time, Hey. Fish.
- 27:00You know what's crazy? So Mike Harkey, who's still the
- 27:03bullpen coach, he was in that same draft, Cal State Fullerton,
- 27:08he was supposed to go number one overall with Griffey, did a
- 27:14backflip in. Blue Lulu, that's.
- 27:19Terrible. He was a He was a gymnast, his
- 27:23son. Played back out.
- 27:24His son played for the Saint Louis Rams and he is one of my
- 27:29favorite, one of my favorite people in the world.
- 27:32Who is this? Who is the football?
- 27:33Player Harkey, you. Said yeah.
- 27:36Mike Harkey That was the sun plate.
- 27:40Harkey No. It's.
- 27:41The Honkey, Speedy. There's some plays for the Rams,
- 27:45some plays for the. Rams, somebody needs to honk,
- 27:47right Speedy? It's gross.
- 27:51I don't know if a car a car horn honking has a smell but OK.
- 28:00Brewers young star Jacob is a Rouse.
- 28:03Key was named to the National League All Star team as a
- 28:08replacement and several Philly players were not happy.
- 28:12Several Phillies players called out Major League Baseball for
- 28:16putting him on the team after making just 5 starts, while two
- 28:21of their pitchers, Ranger Suarez and Christopher Sanchez, have
- 28:26pitched all season. Trey Turner said to The
- 28:29Athletic. What a joke.
- 28:30It's a terrible process. JT Realmuto also took shots at
- 28:34the MLP, saying that both Sanchez and Suarez should have
- 28:37been on the roster in the 1st place.
- 28:40Nick Castellanos said that the All Star Our game voting process
- 28:45is turning into a Savannah Bananas game.
- 28:49Sanchez has a 2.5 ERAA, 1.14 WHIP and 122 strikeouts in just
- 28:5719 starts this season. Suarez has a 1.94 ERA, one point
- 29:02O, 5 WHIP and 78 strikeouts in 13 starts this season.
- 29:06Miss Zorowski has a 2.81 ERAA, 0.896 WHIP and 30 3 strikeouts
- 29:14and five starts. The only reason why he is going
- 29:17into the All Star game and why they decided to go with him is
- 29:20because he's a superstar. He's becoming a star, he's
- 29:24becoming a name. Everybody wants to see him.
- 29:27This guy has been dominating, stalling over 100 mile per hour.
- 29:30He's throwing 103 mph. So this guy's got a lot of heat.
- 29:34So everybody wants to see that young phenom.
- 29:37We remember Lincoln some this kid had a weird release point.
- 29:40He was small. He he, he some people said he
- 29:43was like 5 five, 10511. He looked like he was 5 foot 6
- 29:46and he was on the mound and he he won two Cy Youngs.
- 29:49He was a sensational pitcher for the Giants.
- 29:51And he was a guy that everybody wanted to see in the All Star
- 29:54game. In his first two years.
- 29:56He didn't have the numbers. I don't think he had the numbers
- 29:59in his second year to make the All Star team, but he did.
- 30:02Why? Because he was a young phenom
- 30:05that everybody wanted to see. Never, nobody got a chance to
- 30:07really see him that much. Remember, base sports is
- 30:10different now because now you have the MLB Network, you have
- 30:14all these different channels that you can get a chance to see
- 30:16these guys up at the plate and, and, or, or get a chance to see
- 30:20there every at bats. It's not like it was when a guy
- 30:25like that or even half the players that we've spoken about
- 30:28in the past in the 90s, we have mentioned over the years, never
- 30:33really got it. You, you never really got a
- 30:34chance to see them unless they were playing on ESPN for
- 30:36Sundays, baseball, you know, night or, or Fox, Fox Saturdays,
- 30:41weekends or something like that. You really never got a chance to
- 30:44see these guys play unless you were living in Philadelphia or
- 30:48living in New York or living in California.
- 30:51So unfortunate. Well, it's fortunate that you
- 30:54get a chance to see these players play more more than you
- 30:57ever have. The problem is it's 162 games
- 31:01and it's very dried out. Now, as far as the the Trey
- 31:04Turner coming out and saying what a joke, he's absolutely
- 31:07right. He's right.
- 31:09And. How's it?
- 31:10How's it dried out though? What do you mean baseball 162
- 31:13games in a season. And the only, the only people
- 31:16that really give a crap about it is those those real die hard
- 31:19baseball fans. And if you see what the numbers
- 31:22are right now, it's it's, it's up and down in many different,
- 31:26you know, in in a process of trying to compare them to
- 31:30football games. Remember football, there's 17
- 31:32games in a season. There's less games.
- 31:34So people watch it more because it's not as many games when you
- 31:37have so many games. A lot of people, especially some
- 31:40of these teams, a lot of these teams are horrible.
- 31:42How many good teams are in baseball right now?
- 31:449/9/10 at most. The rest of the teams are
- 31:48horrible. Nobody cares to see certain
- 31:51teams that are going to play. Does anybody really want to see
- 31:55the Pittsburgh Pirates besides guys like Pat McAfee or when you
- 32:00get a chance to see Paul Skeens? That's the only time anybody
- 32:03wants to watch a Pittsburgh Pirates game.
- 32:04And there's a lot of teams like the Pittsburgh Pirates nobody
- 32:07gives a crap about. Minnesota for years has been a
- 32:09pretty good team. Does anybody care about that
- 32:11roster? But you're talking about a
- 32:13conglomerate. You're not talking about like
- 32:15people that actually love the sport.
- 32:18Let me ask. You a question.
- 32:18It doesn't. It doesn't matter.
- 32:20Baseball. No, it does.
- 32:22Baseball doesn't matter over the years.
- 32:24You're going to go to the game because you love baseball.
- 32:27Really, why are the numbers down right now in baseball when it
- 32:30comes to going to games, you're. Gonna you're gonna have your
- 32:32favorite player. Why are the numbers down?
- 32:34Job player Why are the games down?
- 32:36Why are the numbers down right now when it comes to going and
- 32:38watch baseball games? They're still doing over $3
- 32:41billion a year. OK, So what?
- 32:43Every single sport is doing that.
- 32:45Even hockey's doing that now as as you see what's.
- 32:48Getting close to baseball. Hockey is not even.
- 32:50Close to again, hockey is a different sport.
- 32:53It's a Canadian sport. Yes, it is.
- 32:55And you're talking about? Half of the season of baseball.
- 32:58Again. And that's why 82 games of
- 33:00hockey is much more interesting to watch than 162 games of
- 33:04baseball. And I I know you're going to
- 33:06stick up for 80. 1, not 82, I'm sorry.
- 33:08It's 82 games, 82, it's 82 games.
- 33:12They're going to 80. 4 though you're going to correct me,
- 33:14you're going to correct, you're going to correct me when it
- 33:16comes to hockey. Are you serious?
- 33:18Hockey and basketball are both. 82 hockey is 82 games and again,
- 33:22going back to hockey and what we were talking about hockey,
- 33:25hockey might not. They don't.
- 33:26Make as much money as baseball. Not yet they.
- 33:28Don't. Not yet.
- 33:29Because again, it's a Canadian sport.
- 33:32That's not true. It's it's growing right now.
- 33:35They will never make as much money as.
- 33:37Maybe, maybe not. But again, baseball eventually
- 33:40will have a salary cap. It always happens.
- 33:42It won't. OK.
- 33:43It won't. We'll see.
- 33:44It'll happen. Don't you think that this shows
- 33:46that like baseball feels like they have a problem though,
- 33:49Errol? That they have to put a kid like
- 33:51Miss Zarowski up there in the All Star game.
- 33:53Because they're trying to sell tickets.
- 33:54One O 3. They're trying to sell they.
- 33:56Have to, they want to. If baseball was in a good place,
- 33:58though, Jabba, they wouldn't have to do shit like this.
- 34:01And I think this is a reactionary thing.
- 34:03And that's by those guys. That's OK, though.
- 34:06That's OK because look at what we already have in the game.
- 34:11Like we already have that in the game.
- 34:15And yes, is it nice to get a kid like that?
- 34:18100%. Do I think he's deserving of it?
- 34:22No. Like, yes.
- 34:25Does he have a great arm and does pitch his tail off?
- 34:29Heck yeah, he does. Yeah, he does.
- 34:33This guy smacking. But does he deserve it?
- 34:36No, not. Not over Ranger Suarez who is
- 34:40under 2 ER. All Star Game is a fan thing and
- 34:45if fans want to see this dominant pitcher throwing 103,
- 34:48nobody cares about what Suarez is doing or Sanchez is doing.
- 34:51We want to see the guy that's throwing 103 mph.
- 34:54We want to see the young phenom that everybody keeps trying to
- 34:56compare to Paul Skins. Remember when they had that duel
- 34:59duel? I was handy.
- 35:00I was hand dog so so I was hand did.
- 35:03You play any All Star game, Yes, all right, and why did you play
- 35:07in the All Star game? Why did you play in the All Star
- 35:09game? Because you're a young phenom
- 35:10throwing the ball of almost out 100 miles power.
- 35:13So that's what the people want to see.
- 35:14They don't want to see Suarez throwing these change.
- 35:17I'm not disagreeing and all speed pitches.
- 35:20I don't want to see him. I want to see Mesorowski.
- 35:22I want to see that guy go out there and and show me how hard
- 35:25he could throw the ball. What are you could start?
- 35:27Here is more of a control pitcher.
- 35:28Like he's a lot like David Peterson where he has a great
- 35:30ERA, but he gets a lot of ground balls, so maybe he wasn't.
- 35:33The flat, but he did under after 5 fucking stars.
- 35:36Five stars. I don't.
- 35:37Think so. I'm I'm fully with the Phillies
- 35:39player saying that because Sanchez has 122 strikeouts.
- 35:42He's been a great pitcher for three years now, and Suarez was
- 35:46a great pitcher in 2022 when they went.
- 35:47To the world, and he's great in the postseason, too, he was.
- 35:49Phenomenal in the postseason when they went to the World
- 35:51Series. He's kind of up and down
- 35:52throughout his career, but he's having a fantastic year.
- 35:54Fish, like you said, 1.94 ERA even though he's not getting the
- 35:57strikeout numbers. Like yes, they should both be
- 35:59there too. I know Mets fans are play about
- 36:01Senga too, but he's hurt right now.
- 36:02So, but the both Phillies guys should definitely be in and
- 36:05Sanchez has 122 strikeouts. That's top ten in baseball right
- 36:08now. Yeah, I have a rule with, I have
- 36:11both of those guys on my radar when I play fantasy Sanchez last
- 36:15year, Suarez, I've had Suarez. And my rule is I need a guy that
- 36:18strikes out at least a guy per inning.
- 36:21So it's got to be at least a nine point O rating or higher.
- 36:23And Suarez and Sanchez are both in Sanchez's. 9.4 something,
- 36:27yeah. Yes, they're both good.
- 36:30They're both really good, and I feel like the Phillies should be
- 36:33represented at the All Star game more than the hapless Brewers.
- 36:37I don't understand why they need to go to Mizarowski here instead
- 36:40of getting one of those Phillies pitchers again going to like how
- 36:43it's important introducing James Wood right now in the Home Run
- 36:47Derby. Yeah, Well, we just finished
- 36:50with James Woody. He had sixteen home runs in the
- 36:52first round. Not bad in Atlanta, a big
- 36:54ballpark. We'll see how if that is going
- 36:57to last or get him into the second round.
- 36:58I I think it should. We'll see that.
- 37:00We've seen crazier things. We'll see how good some of these
- 37:04guys are going to be able to hit in in in Atlanta ball field.
- 37:07That is really a pitcher's ballpark.
- 37:09It's it's always been that. Everybody's I looked it up,
- 37:11Errol, it's actually dead, dead middle of the pack.
- 37:14It's 16th overall. They're like they're half of the
- 37:18middle, right? I think it was the 15 or 16
- 37:21fish. I saw 16.
- 37:23I don't know if I saw it for just lefties or righties or how
- 37:25it plays out depending on which handedness you are, but.
- 37:28Yeah, it's interesting. I think in the beginning it was
- 37:31like a. Pretty middle of the pack.
- 37:32Ballpark. But the last three years has
- 37:34been kind of even, yeah. Was it in Atlanta years ago when
- 37:37Sammy Sosa was hitting them like a quarter mile every single
- 37:41time? I believe it was.
- 37:43It was. He was hitting them over 500
- 37:44feet to dead center. It was just stupid that that
- 37:48might have been my favorite Home Run Derby there ever was when it
- 37:51was all the steroid guys taking all the hitting so far, McGuire
- 37:56hitting them far they. All this is a grumpy old man
- 37:59they. Don't have.
- 37:59They don't make them like that anymore, Errol.
- 38:01They don't have the star-studded ones.
- 38:03You're right. It's not like it used to be.
- 38:05No unfortunate and and again when it when it comes to
- 38:07baseball, you want to see those guys, you want to see the best
- 38:10stars, you want to see the best players and Mizarowski is a guy
- 38:12that everybody wants to see. Zra is right now two point. 815
- 38:17games though, yeah, I agree with you on that.
- 38:19It's an All Star game. It's an All Star game I want.
- 38:22To see. I think you're right.
- 38:24I I it to me. But also like give it to what is
- 38:27deserving like 5 isn't. Let me ask you a question.
- 38:31Let me ask you a question. Is Suarez right now is pitching
- 38:35in the World Series? Is he going to worry about a
- 38:37damn All Star game? If Sanchez is pitching in the
- 38:39World Series, you think he's worried about an All Star game?
- 38:42Nobody gives a crap. Juan Soda was the one that was
- 38:44bitching and moaning about it. I don't really care.
- 38:46Juan Soda shouldn't be crying about it just because of 100K
- 38:49that he would get from the Mets. That's not the end of the money
- 38:53of what they are. No, they just.
- 38:55Making. 60 million a year, a guy like Juan Soto, why is he
- 38:58complaining about 100K? It's a case of that's fantastic,
- 39:01Flores. Complaining, not those two.
- 39:04If you can put $1,000,000 in your pocket, no matter how much
- 39:07money you're making, yes, you're going to do it.
- 39:09But it's a different case when Sanchez, who's on a rookie
- 39:12contract and Suarez, I think just got paid, but it's a
- 39:14smaller contract, is not making the team.
- 39:17Meanwhile, Juan so does complaining about a a budget
- 39:19where he gets more per game with the contract that he's making
- 39:22this year. So it's just the way he did it
- 39:23was a little differently. And Turner and Castellanos and
- 39:26all these guys have a case too when you're judging.
- 39:28It's even worse for it when it's a pitcher because the pitchers
- 39:31are not in the fan vote. The pitchers are.
- 39:33The pitchers are voted on by the managers.
- 39:34And now in their case of the uproar by the league and now
- 39:38he's putting them in, maybe it's Dave Roberts having incentive on
- 39:40this. And Dave Roberts obviously is
- 39:43biased against certain teams. And you're seeing it now with
- 39:45the Phillies, too, for whatever reason, like both guys not
- 39:48making the cut. Who cares?
- 39:50Who cares? Why are we crying about this?
- 39:52Everybody cries. Maybe the rule is.
- 39:54Maybe the rule is if you throw 103, you're in the All Star
- 39:56game. Who?
- 39:57Cares. Good.
- 39:58We'll put Jordan Hicks. In I will tell you this, I
- 40:00remember the 90s Yankees or even 2009, those Yankees.
- 40:05Mark Tushera, Alex Rodriguez, Derek Jeter.
- 40:08That whole infield should have been in the All Star.
- 40:09Game and the whole outfield should have been the All Star
- 40:11game for the numbers they were putting up, especially in the
- 40:13first half of the season. But that that doesn't happen.
- 40:16Why? Because it's nobody wants to see
- 40:18just the Yankees in the damn World Series except the Yankee
- 40:21fans. So it it to me baseball
- 40:24obviously wants their phenoms in the game like watching the gets
- 40:28a chance to see James Wood. I want to see this guy win the
- 40:31Home Run Derby. Why?
- 40:33Because it would be a story I want to see, stories I don't
- 40:36want to hear. The National League wins the the
- 40:38All Star game. I mean, guess who wins the MVP?
- 40:42Nobody could. If James Wood wins the MVP and
- 40:45hits 2 arm runs in the All Star game, that's the story I want to
- 40:48hear. Stories I want to hear like tall
- 40:51tales, you know, I want to hear about Raggedy Ann.
- 40:53I want to hear about Wizard of Oz kind of crap.
- 40:56I don't want to hear about Oh well this guy won the MVP, it's
- 41:00just him, who cares, It's Bryce Harper.
- 41:02Oh it's Aaron George. I don't want to hear it.
- 41:04I don't care. I don't care who wins a damn
- 41:06truck car or a freaking, you know, nose bleed.
- 41:10But at the same time, like when I, I agree with what you're
- 41:14saying, but also there's so many other guys that are deserving.
- 41:22I'm not saying it's right or wrong.
- 41:23I'm not saying it's right or wrong.
- 41:24I'm, I'm not saying anything in this realm.
- 41:27Right. You have 5 starts.
- 41:32Like I I love the talk of miss but you haven't prove it You
- 41:42don't like he could be done next year.
- 41:47He's got 5 starts. Do we really care that much?
- 41:51Do we really care that much? For guys making their first All
- 41:57Star team, like you feel bad for them though at the same time for
- 41:59Sanchez, who's a young kid too. I think Suarez got there the one
- 42:03year in 22 as an All Star, but Sanchez, that could have been
- 42:06his first two and maybe they just have to expand the rosters,
- 42:08but. 100%, but at 5 starts and you're like, I honestly, if, if
- 42:16I'm being perfectly honest with you guys, if they asked me to be
- 42:23in the All Star game when I was in my first one in the Futures
- 42:26Game and everything, and if they asked me, I would say no.
- 42:33I would say no. There's somebody more deserving.
- 42:35I haven't done enough to earn that right.
- 42:39I haven't done enough. That's why I don't want fans to
- 42:42vote, want players to vote, because players are going to put
- 42:47you in what you are in. I don't want to disrespect any
- 42:54of you on this panel, but y'all never played the game that means
- 43:01something to us. And if you get chosen by your
- 43:07teammates, I was voted the most underrated player in fucking
- 43:12baseball. I agree with them, by the way.
- 43:15I am a legend just. Kidding.
- 43:17And that's fine, I'm OK with that.
- 43:21But as Pedro, always kidding. I'm kidding.
- 43:23What? As Pedro always said, nobody
- 43:27boos nobodies. Well, I guess I'm going to Boo.
- 43:31You and I got I got booed. Well, I was a somebody.
- 43:37Well, you're definitely somebody, there's definitely no
- 43:40doubt about that. You are the one and only.
- 43:42Droba Groba Scoop sits on the sitter.
- 43:46As we all know, but anyways, finishing up.
- 43:49With this, I do have I do have kids named after me, by the way.
- 43:52I just I'm sure you do. Named Joba.
- 43:56Groba. Now I.
- 43:57No, if, if you what? Play that again.
- 44:02When I see you, I'm going to punch you right in the face.
- 44:04Jabba takes it up the ass. That's fine, I'll take Jabba.
- 44:09Don't do it. Drobba, it's not an athlete.
- 44:14Oh Nathan, you are the furthest thing an athlete.
- 44:21Poor Nathan. You're punishing Nathan.
- 44:23This guy has got such a. Great person, not the real
- 44:25question. If there was a Home Run Derby
- 44:27done, everyone had to wear a blue blazer.
- 44:29Who would win? Oh, that's fair.
- 44:33That's fair there. We.
- 44:35Go Nathan. What would be?
- 44:36What would be your picks for that?
- 44:39So how did this thing work? You know you get.
- 44:41You get extra if you don't get 3 outs within your swing.
- 44:45So taking pictures in this format is actually better
- 44:48because of that, because it well it is some somewhat timed if you
- 44:51can get like I said, the. Three, because the rooker has 16
- 44:54right now. Yeah.
- 44:55So you're actually penal. You're actually not penalized as
- 44:58much as previous formats for taking pitches with the time as
- 45:00much because you don't want to get 3 outs otherwise you'll get
- 45:03the extra time. So he gets the extra time
- 45:05because of that, because he has two outs remaining and because
- 45:08he only got out one once. I don't like it.
- 45:11Speedy, did you say penal? Penalized?
- 45:14That's kind of weird. Why does it?
- 45:16Have to do. Complicated.
- 45:18For my rear end is burning because.
- 45:20There's so much. Controversy with like the splits
- 45:21of different formats. I think they're trying to do it
- 45:23like a hybrid together. I didn't even mind the way.
- 45:25That it was stayed how it always was.
- 45:26I don't. I don't like it I I don't the
- 45:28way. They change.
- 45:29I don't like the way they're changing it.
- 45:31And again, that's because of Rod.
- 45:33That's because of Rod Man freed as.
- 45:35But did anybody? No, it changed.
- 45:37Before that, it changed before that.
- 45:39Yeah. There was something different
- 45:40last year too and they were obviously switching before that
- 45:42with the outs versus the time. Well, I don't like it after
- 45:46you're after. You're well, and then they got
- 45:48the bonus of it went over 420 or something.
- 45:50Well, yeah, it used to be a distance.
- 45:52Bonus, this format is a if you don't make 3 outs in the three
- 45:55minutes. But why is Rooker's wife on the
- 45:58field? I mean, come on, I I did.
- 46:00It's I just want to see the damn the home run.
- 46:03It's not I don't want to go. It's a for the family.
- 46:07Are you, are you fucking stupid? The fact that you say that
- 46:13arrow, I don't want to see it, understand?
- 46:15I don't want to see it. They may never, they may never
- 46:17get this opportunity in. Why would you?
- 46:20Like he's a young. Guy, when you're going to do
- 46:23something great, when you're going to do something great,
- 46:25would you not want to have Britney next to you?
- 46:27I don't. Know that that would be a
- 46:32question that I'll have to answer when the Todd.
- 46:34Jabba, you're not going to get him on this one.
- 46:37You're not. I just you're.
- 46:38Not going to get any. Answers I'm going to celebrate
- 46:40with my father and my son. Blow my back out.
- 46:45Errol just wants the action. He doesn't want the sentimental
- 46:47crap. I, I had to take shit, worked my
- 46:50butt off, pulled it out. I was granted that because I'll
- 46:55let you lick my butt. The greatest thing.
- 46:59I got a smart made with him. Why don't you want them to
- 47:02celebrate that with you? I gave up the booty there.
- 47:06Yeah, he probably did in many different ways, bend over and
- 47:09crack a. Smile.
- 47:10Why wouldn't you? No, I you can.
- 47:12You can play the overlays and whatever you want to do, I don't
- 47:15care. I don't I I don't want to.
- 47:17See you still here as a man. You can't.
- 47:18I don't want to see his wife on the baseball field.
- 47:21I don't. I have any.
- 47:22I have no interest of seeing that.
- 47:23OK? I just want to see the Home Run
- 47:25Derby. I want.
- 47:26To see you don't want your family with.
- 47:27You. No, it's a Home Run Derby.
- 47:30The hell do I want to see my my wife on or my girlfriend or my
- 47:33kids, maybe my kids because my sons or my daughter or whatever
- 47:37they want to. They want to remember the
- 47:38experience. I don't need to see my wife
- 47:40holding my kid out there on the baseball field, OK?
- 47:43I don't need to. I don't need to.
- 47:44If it's an infant, stay stay out.
- 47:46There you are a you are a miserable human.
- 47:48Sorry. Not a miserable human.
- 47:50I'm just telling you what I think I don't want to see.
- 47:52I think I want. I want to watch baseball.
- 47:55That's all. I want to see.
- 47:56I don't want to see somebody's. But.
- 47:59Don't you want your family to watch you do the same thing
- 48:02that. And I will get no, I don't
- 48:05again, when I when I you out of your mind, I'm out of my mind.
- 48:11You're speaking some gibberish crap that comes out of your
- 48:13mouth. I I'm telling you what I think
- 48:16I'm making. You're telling me I'm out of my
- 48:18mind because I have my own opinion.
- 48:20I have the right of my own opinion.
- 48:22I've never. Done what I've done.
- 48:23OK, so we're we're going to that now.
- 48:26You went with, you went with. I've never done what you have
- 48:29done. OK.
- 48:30I've never been a professional athlete.
- 48:31Fine. I've done other things that
- 48:33you've never done. Have you ever DJ in front of
- 48:3535,000 people? Have you ever travelled with
- 48:38some of the biggest DJs and the biggest artists in the industry?
- 48:41No, I have. So you've never done that.
- 48:43I've done that. I've done that.
- 48:45I'm not arguing. I OK, so you I've done something
- 48:48you've never done. So that's what I'm.
- 48:50Saying I'm not. Disagreeing So I'm just I'm I'm.
- 48:54Speaking, you don't want your family to see how good you are.
- 48:58Yeah, well, I, I, I, his. If his wife wants to watch the
- 49:02game, she could watch it out there in a press box.
- 49:04She could watch that in the audience like everybody else.
- 49:07I don't need to see her standing there with the infant in her
- 49:09hands. No, because we are literally
- 49:11like in a position. Pulled it out of my ass.
- 49:14Would you not want your family to do that?
- 49:17Listen, I want my family to be there.
- 49:19I don't need to see her on a baseball field.
- 49:22That's all I'm going to say about that now.
- 49:24If you're DJ ING in front of 35,000 people and you know what
- 49:30that does and you're not a parent I get that.
- 49:34But to see your son do I want or dog.
- 49:39No, I don't want my kids. I don't want, I don't want to
- 49:41see my I don't want my kids to see a bunch of druggies dancing
- 49:44around to my music. No, I do not want them seeing
- 49:47that. I also don't want to see my kids
- 49:49to see me up on a 50 foot scaffold looking like I'm going
- 49:52to fall off of it when I'm DJ. Nope.
- 49:55No, I don't want my kids seeing that.
- 49:57And and you definitely don't want anybody because I don't, I
- 50:00don't want them. Seeing because it's good and
- 50:02bad. Cazero comes from an old school
- 50:04mentality where the name took a lunch pail and they went to the
- 50:09factories and they did their. Work.
- 50:12And nobody needed to see their work, and their work was all
- 50:16that mad. And then they came home to their
- 50:17families. What are we playing?
- 50:20Like some video game? And you're like Count Dracula
- 50:24arrows in the video game arrows playing some Wizard of Oz.
- 50:27Shit, all it is is people loving on their families.
- 50:31Arrow, It's not a terrible. Oh, so so I because I don't love
- 50:34on my I listen, I love my family.
- 50:36I do a lot for my family, but I'm not going to.
- 50:37Be sitting there, I'm just saying.
- 50:39I'm out there trying to hit baseballs and impress the fans.
- 50:44That's when I'm there, make baseball look good and I have my
- 50:46wife sitting back there looking out there and we have the camera
- 50:50wasn't on him. It was on his wife.
- 50:51I don't want to see his wife. It's it's like watching the
- 50:53court. OK, She's.
- 50:55Part of us, dummy. She's not part of us, she's not
- 50:58part of me. 100% she is that's. How you shame?
- 51:03Yeah, that's that's about it. I mean, I'm about shaving that
- 51:06debt. You're a grown man.
- 51:08So you're saying you need? To learn how to grow, be a
- 51:09grown. Man, you say you love Brittany,
- 51:11correct? Yeah, I, I, I, I love.
- 51:13So she's not part of that, so she's not part of what you do.
- 51:17Yeah, well, I, I in some cases. She's not part of what you do.
- 51:21Yes, I in some kind of ways I, I would say, but in, in other ways
- 51:25I'm a little lost in some of the other stuff that I have to deal
- 51:28with. So I All in all, if anybody
- 51:31knows me and knows my personality knows that I'm
- 51:34pretty straightforward now I want to beat around the Bush and
- 51:36if I'm going to beat around the Bush, I'm making sure that I
- 51:38shave it before I beat. Now.
- 51:40Anyways, getting back to the baseball conversation in the
- 51:42Savannah Bananas and Nick Castellano saying that it's
- 51:45Savannah. If it's Savannah the bananas,
- 51:46why isn't anybody dancing on the baseball field?
- 51:48Why is anybody going out there in the audience and, you know,
- 51:51sticking ball bags in in people's faces like Speedy does?
- 51:54I mean, the fact is, I, I think base, the All Star game is
- 51:59supposed to be entertainment. That's all it is.
- 52:01You want to make, everybody's saying, oh, you make 100 KA,
- 52:03$1,000,000 or whatever the hell they make through all these
- 52:06different competitions and stuff like it, good for them.
- 52:08The fact is, I don't. To me, it doesn't really matter.
- 52:12It doesn't set you up to win a World Series.
- 52:15It doesn't matter to me. As a matter of fact, if I'm a
- 52:17baseball player and I know I have two weeks off that I can go
- 52:20to Hawaiian Islands or something like that, I'm doing that then
- 52:23dealing with the garbage. You don't have two weeks off,
- 52:26you have four days off. All right, a week off.
- 52:29A week off, because that's what they have.
- 52:30They're going to have a week off, So what?
- 52:334 when? When's baseball start?
- 52:35After the All Star game. Usually that Friday.
- 52:37Friday, Thursday we got a throw. And when was?
- 52:40All. Right, so when did when did the
- 52:42All Star game start? So Sunday was the last day of
- 52:45the season. So you have 5 days.
- 52:47So you could go to an island, you could take a boat trip, you
- 52:49could do anything, go hang out with your family.
- 52:53They could throw something else. He could have, he could have, he
- 52:56could throw some soap at his wife.
- 52:58OK, in many different ways in the bathroom.
- 53:01But why is the always at your spouse like?
- 53:04Well, no. You're going to be hanging out
- 53:05with your spouse, right? Are you going to hang out with
- 53:07your spouse? What are you going to do?
- 53:08Yeah, or am I hanging out with my son?
- 53:10Oh, OK, you could be hanging out in the bathroom with a bunch of.
- 53:13Just like that. Dropping, dropping the soap or
- 53:16something of that magnitude. Would you drop the soap?
- 53:19I don't. First of all, I never drop the
- 53:21soap, and if I drop the soap I definitely won't do it in front
- 53:24of you pain anyways. Cam Caminero's killing it right
- 53:28now. Except 14.
- 53:32Oh, I'm ahead of you, but he's are you ahead of me a little bit
- 53:36if you're at 14. But I don't like these.
- 53:38I don't like the pace of this stuff.
- 53:39He's the one that had the walk off home run in winter ball that
- 53:42he spent like a minute and a half running around the bases
- 53:45taunting it like Caminero. He's a he's an interesting dude.
- 53:48That Rays team is getting some personality.
- 53:50He was the number one prospect of baseball for a reason.
- 53:54Yeah, he's only, he's only 22. He's.
- 53:57They're all young. James Wood is, is, is a young
- 53:59kid. I mean, he's 22 years old.
- 54:01All these guys. This is what you want to see.
- 54:02You want to see the young guys. I don't want to see the old
- 54:05dudes, 2829 guys that are going to get contracts in a in a year
- 54:09or two because they're getting, they're going to be free agents.
- 54:11Ladies and gentlemen, I'd like to thank all the fans out there.
- 54:14Thank you on all the platforms from Spotify to Apple to Apple
- 54:18video to Spotify video and all the audios to TikTok, Instagram,
- 54:23Facebook, YouTube, and Speedy's asshole.
- 54:26Ladies and gentlemen, we really appreciate all you guys tuning
- 54:29in and listening to us throughout the week.
- 54:32Keep listening to us, Speedy. We have any guests on on the
- 54:34Wednesday. On Wednesday, Nathan, you got
- 54:36the guest for Wednesday. Oh yes, is that is that point?
- 54:40We're. Going to have is he?
- 54:41Is he actually going to be here? Yeah, I heard so.
- 54:44Yeah, current Dolphin. I'm just kidding man, I got.
- 54:47It current dolphin safety? Come on man.
- 54:49And. We'll get Eli.
- 54:52We'll get Eli on too. Can I slap your ass?
- 54:55Somebody, and I think Nathan wants to slap Jabba's ass.
- 54:57What do you guys think, Speedy? Speedy how?
- 55:00Big Do you think I don't want to?
- 55:02I have a small ass. Listen, I got a small hand, so
- 55:06Jabba's ass will probably look like a grapefruit to my hand.
- 55:09You know, into something. Maybe a watermelon.
- 55:12Speedy, you like I. Don't care about any
- 55:13conversations about yours, Jabba's a Nathan's hand slapping
- 55:16or whatever. I mean, what kind of watermelon
- 55:19do you like do? You like OK.
- 55:21Steam, water, coat, there's pitless and then.
- 55:23Who would you? Who would you take a Who would
