Speaker 1: What is up everybody? That's right, the Robbie G Podcast
• 0:07
Speaker 1: is coming back as you can see. We got a
• 0:09
Speaker 1: new logo and we are ready to go. What has
• 0:12
Speaker 1: happened since the last time I did a podcast? It
• 0:15
Speaker 1: was February, right after, I think it was right after
• 0:19
Speaker 1: the Super Bowl or like right around the Super Bowl
• 0:22
Speaker 1: that I did my last one. We are in the
• 0:25
Speaker 1: second year of Ben Johnson. We have a Wednesday football
• 0:29
Speaker 1: game next week. That's right, we've got a Wednesday football
• 0:31
Speaker 1: game for the first time ever in the history of
• 0:35
Speaker 1: the NFL. Wednesday, Thursday, we've got games on Sunday and Monday. Crazy.
• 0:41
Speaker 1: It's going to be a crazy week next week. Cubs
• 0:44
Speaker 1: and Sox are both in a playoff hunt in September.
• 0:49
Speaker 1: That's wild. That does not happen often. Dolly Parton passed away.
• 0:54
Speaker 1: Tim Curry passed away. We lost a lot of greats
• 0:57
Speaker 1: in the last couple of months since February when I
• 1:00
Speaker 1: went off the air. What else is there to talk about? God,
• 1:04
Speaker 1: there is a lot. Dancing with the Stars has a
• 1:06
Speaker 1: new season coming out. We got a new cast for that,
• 1:08
Speaker 1: including Guermo. Guermo! Yes, he came out, and he's going
• 1:15
Speaker 1: to be doing Dancing with the Stars. So is Julia Stiles.
• 1:19
Speaker 1: We'll talk about that. In our first episode, we are
• 1:22
Speaker 1: going to talk about Jelly Roll. Jelly Roll came out
• 1:26
Speaker 1: on Jimmy Kimmel on stage hosting the show for him
• 1:30
Speaker 1: because they've had a bunch of co-hosts or guest hosts
• 1:35
Speaker 1: for him while he's taking the summer off. And I
• 1:38
Speaker 1: think he was recording Who Wants to Be a Millionaire also.
• 1:41
Speaker 1: So I think he took some time off for that too.
• 1:43
Speaker 1: But Jelly Roll came out and just started trashing Donald Trump.
• 1:47
Speaker 1: For a guy who literally was seen at a UFC
• 1:50
Speaker 1: fight not too long ago shaking the president's hand. But
• 1:54
Speaker 1: he did talk a lot of mad crap about Donald Trump.
• 1:57
Speaker 1: That was great. I mean, I'm not a Trumper. Everybody
• 2:00
Speaker 1: knows I'm not a Trumper. If you follow me on TikTok,
• 2:03
Speaker 1: you know I am not. And that's fine. Because my
• 2:05
Speaker 1: show is not political when I do my radio show.
• 2:08
Speaker 1: But we are going to talk about that because it
• 2:09
Speaker 1: is entertainment and music. So yeah, Jelly Roll went off
• 2:13
Speaker 1: on Trump. There's a lot of stuff that's happened since then.
• 2:17
Speaker 1: I left. So we got to talk about all of it.
• 2:20
Speaker 1: And we got to talk about current movies and what
• 2:23
Speaker 1: they're doing in the box office. Spider-Man, the new Spider-Man movie,
• 2:28
Speaker 1: did amazing. Beat out, I believe, all of Marvel, which
• 2:31
Speaker 1: is crazy. I mean, I'm talking like Avengers, all that stuff.
• 2:36
Speaker 1: So yeah, it beat out Endgame and all those. So
• 2:39
Speaker 1: we got that. There's a new Avengers movie coming out,
• 2:42
Speaker 1: I believe, December. So we'll be on the air talking
• 2:44
Speaker 1: about that. We'll be talking about a lot of stuff.
• 2:47
Speaker 1: First episode of the new show I am going to
• 2:50
Speaker 1: release next Wednesday morning. So you'll be able to listen
• 2:55
Speaker 1: to it. It's going to be very NFL heavy. We'll
• 2:58
Speaker 1: talk about the first week of the NFL season. I'll
• 3:01
Speaker 1: give my predictions. I'm going to let everybody know. I
• 3:05
Speaker 1: got to do a free. Me and one of my
• 3:07
Speaker 1: friends aren't talking anymore. It was sad. We got into
• 3:10
Speaker 1: a little argument. And so I'm not doing anything. fantasy
• 3:15
Speaker 1: football with the people I used to do it with
• 3:17
Speaker 1: for money, and I tried to start my own up,
• 3:20
Speaker 1: and I had a few people that wanted to do it,
• 3:22
Speaker 1: including my one daughter and her husband, and my wife
• 3:28
Speaker 1: was gonna do it, I was excited, you know, my daughter,
• 3:32
Speaker 1: my son-in-law, my wife, all was doing it together with
• 3:35
Speaker 1: a few other people, we were trying to get 10 people,
• 3:38
Speaker 1: and I only had enough for five, and it's kind
• 3:41
Speaker 1: of not fun when there's only five people. And it's
• 3:44
Speaker 1: very hard to do because you'd be playing the same
• 3:46
Speaker 1: teams over and over and over again. It's more fun
• 3:48
Speaker 1: when you got more people spread out. So I just
• 3:51
Speaker 1: did a free one this year and I'm going to
• 3:53
Speaker 1: get back into it next year. So this year I
• 3:56
Speaker 1: just did a little free one, just a rando one.
• 4:00
Speaker 1: Don't even know the people who I'm playing with and anything,
• 4:03
Speaker 1: but I did my draft. So I'll let everybody know
• 4:05
Speaker 1: what my fantasy team looks like this year. And if
• 4:09
Speaker 1: we're going to go for the For the Fantasy Super
• 4:12
Speaker 1: Bowl But yeah so we got a lot to talk
• 4:14
Speaker 1: about Lots and lots and lots of stuff Has happened
• 4:18
Speaker 1: My TikTok page, my Facebook pages They're doing hot right
