- 0:50everything down and I wrote someone's name in the wrong
- 0:52column and then mess all the numbers up by one.
- 0:54So that's what happened. And they were already done.
- 0:56So they stayed that way. But so.

- 4:32killing it, a dean, and I believe is doing the same route
- 4:34so that recovery for both them is doing really well.
- 4:36Well, which is exciting. So that's pretty much it for the
- 4:39housekeeping. But let's get this podcast
- 4:42started. Without further Ado, let me
- 4:43bring in my guest. I love this kid to death, he's
- 4:46part of that he's hard at, this new group coming up there.
- 4:50I just watched the new. What The Hell movie was it
- 4:54scream? When they were the, they had
- 4:56their own good crew name? I don't know what their true
- 4:57name is. Maybe, we'll find one out in
- 4:59this podcast, but let's bring him in that.
- 5:01Daniel cutting him. Thanks bud.
- 5:03What's up? Thanks for having me.
- 5:04No problem. What what's Your crew here.
- 5:07What is your cruise name? Like your little The High Ground
- 5:12crew. I'd that's what I've been
- 5:13calling you guys, but I love how you guys stick together, and you
- 5:16guys are this little family and you're such a good support
- 5:19system for one another. But yeah, super, super excited
- 5:22for you guys and what you guys are bringing to the table.
- 5:25You know, I'm excited. Our group is awesome.
- 5:27And we are essentially looked as a high ground kids now, but I
- 5:32mean that the company doesn't solidify us, so we We were our
- 5:37own person and yeah, because you guys have been carrying over
- 5:40since you guys got in the broken from backbreakers on you don't.
- 5:44I mean, that's why I said I don't want to lumpy as into it
- 5:47like a promotion name. Like I said, you know, like the
- 5:50four horsemen but there's like 15 or 5 or 6 years, you know?
- 5:53I mean but ya know there's a ton like yeah and we travel
- 5:57everywhere together. Triple wa P CW.
- 6:00A wherever one is booked. We all go.
- 6:03But we have spots or not because you just have enjoyed the time
- 6:06on the road. That's it like yeah, driving
- 6:09driving with people is really cool, me and Pete me.
- 6:12And him have had amazing bonding experiences.
- 6:16Me and Mike and see, Riley have have the same thing.
- 6:22This is why I don't like learning real names but have had
- 6:26amazing experiences as well. Those moments behind the wheel
- 6:30and driving to shows is irreplaceable and that's where
- 6:33you were going to. That's where that's where you
- 6:35were going to build those bonds and And chips.
- 6:37But well let's dive into a man. Speaking of your crew and your
- 6:41training. How did you get involved in
- 6:44professional wrestling and how did you land your first school?
- 6:47So I got involved young like most people.
- 6:50Did I used to go? Watch my godfather Russell and
- 6:53he wrestled a place like triple wa he wrestled the McAdoo.
- 6:56I'm not sure what promotion was out there.
- 6:58He went into the night Prowler so going to see him as a kid
- 7:02really kind of inspired me and like I wanted to do it and then
- 7:05I got Infant like ended up bwe and that really broadened my
- 7:09horizons and I always wanted to do it since I was a kid and once
- 7:13I turned 19, I was like, I'm gonna do it.
- 7:15So my godfather actually set me up with Justin glory and he told
- 7:19me what the school was and I came down and talked to him.
- 7:23And next thing I knew I was signed up and remember how I
- 7:26said earlier, how your group of kids is, like, I love every
- 7:29single one of them when they're all dope and they're all
- 7:31amazing. All except this piece of garbage
- 7:33Ricky prize says oh God not these two.
- 7:35What? And absolute their father Gaius
- 7:38he really is. Yes, I agree.
- 7:40I know for a fact, he's a giant, a BJ fan because he's in every
- 7:44stream he wants to hear his voice.
- 7:45He wants me to say his name. Unfortunately, he's going to be
- 7:48on the podcast in a few weeks and I can't the things I do for
- 7:53businesses and for promotions. And for my friends, you know, I
- 7:56got a, I had a, I had the book book this trash human being.
- 7:59But anyway, let's get back to your interview.
- 8:01I don't want to get too much time.
- 8:02Even told me he collects you stickers.
- 8:04He does he does, he does, he puts He puts them on his back,
- 8:07it shows. I don't know why he does, but
- 8:11yeah, so now how long did he Russell?
- 8:15My godfather. Yeah, I think it was ten to
- 8:18twelve years. I want to say, I want to say it
- 8:21was a lengthy time. I know he got injured and that
- 8:25kind of like solidified that he was done for him.
- 8:27I think it was, I'm pretty sure it was a shoulder.
- 8:29I think it's separated and he was just done ever since.
- 8:32And then he got into some really bad car accidents and ever since
- 8:36then like he still comes to my shows watches me as much as he
- 8:38can, but as far as the wrestling side, it just ended kind of sad
- 8:43for him which It is unfortunate. What what age did you jump right
- 8:47into training? Like as soon as you were able
- 8:48to. Well I was my plan was once I
- 8:52turned 18 come down the school sign up but then no one in my
- 8:56family that it was good idea. So that was the kid that did it
- 8:59like pain? I only played baseball, a little
- 9:02football but like solely baseball.
- 9:05So like they try to push me against wrestling and say, like,
- 9:08you know, it might not be for you, you know, you can get hurt
- 9:11like, really bad stuff and scenarios.
- 9:13So I kind of do Help me off for a year.
- 9:15But once I turned 19, I was just like, I'm just gonna do it.
- 9:18And if it doesn't work, it doesn't work.
- 9:20Yeah. Now what we're some of those
- 9:22critiques that were given to you.
- 9:24True. Did you struggle with the you
- 9:25know aches and pains and stuff like that?
- 9:28Oh absolutely. Especially in the beginning.
- 9:30I do not think wrestling was going to be as hard as it was
- 9:33and it really turned my head on like how this business is, you
- 9:37know, what do you think it toughens you up here?
- 9:39Do you like what what do you think separated you from from
- 9:43changing that demeanor? Mentally of like, okay, I can
- 9:45take these bumps, I can take these, you know, this these
- 9:48situations and and, and move forward.
- 9:52Oh, I definitely just in glory, helped me a lot.
- 9:56Do talking to me when I was down because I did struggle with some
- 10:01things. Like everyone else.
- 10:02I struggled with rope running taking beagles suplexes because
- 10:07I was just in my head constantly.
- 10:09So after I got over a little hurdles with his guidance, it
- 10:13really truly help. Yeah, Vince stores in the chat
- 10:17says those first few months or tough.
- 10:19I listen, it's I can't really compare it cuz I've never really
- 10:23done wrestling, but it's just like when you when you sign up
- 10:26for football on, you're doing those three days and essentially
- 10:32those three days sometimes for days it's like two, three weeks
- 10:36long. And they're just there to kill
- 10:38you and they're there to see what you can do.
- 10:40And there's they're there to mentally see if you want.
- 10:43This are you don't Want this. And then as that's essentially
- 10:46what they do to you professional wrestling but it's awesome.
- 10:49That once again, just kind of singing his Praises of Glory of
- 10:53saying I, as someone who could just be easily, be like that kid
- 10:55didn't make it. He's tiny scrawny, he's little
- 10:58he's this he sat with you and helped you through that mental
- 11:01aspect and that, I think that's super dope and that's why I
- 11:04think like with your crew and helping each other and then
- 11:08knowing that how much a support system is important in
- 11:11professional wrestling. Are anything you do especially
- 11:14Industry where the older School generation didn't really have
- 11:18our utilize that support system and you guys are kind of
- 11:21changing that Mo. You know what I mean?
- 11:23No, absolutely. And if I didn't have my group of
- 11:26friends and my support system, I don't know how long I would have
- 11:31lasted without them essentially because, you know, we pick each
- 11:34other up as much as we can. We were down and the good times
- 11:37are really good and the bad times really, really suck.
- 11:40Yeah. Yeah, absolutely.
- 11:42No. You said growing up, you watch
- 11:44your Your aunt and uncle and wbe and stuff.
- 11:46Who are some people. When you watch that, you would
- 11:48say, now that you go backstage, tape study wise.
- 11:50Now that you're in the business, you've learned, you know, behind
- 11:53the curtain a little bit who are some people you study to better
- 11:56yourself or maybe pick and learn stuff from definitely Triple H,
- 12:00Shawn Michaels. I watched a little bit of Kevin
- 12:05Owens actually because I just like it.
- 12:07Yeah. It's like a style and Jeff Hardy
- 12:10100%. I just watched on tick-tock.
- 12:14Took like all I didn't actually know where, I don't know.
- 12:17For this full thing is posted, I have to go seek it out, but
- 12:20essentially, people were backstage filming, the Kevin,
- 12:23Owens stone, cold night, one spot and essentially just like
- 12:28following Kevin. He's like, really where's
- 12:30Austin? He goes, he's somewhere pacing
- 12:31around, like a pit bull and then Kevin.
- 12:33He's in gorilla and Triple H, like you, this is, this is, this
- 12:36is, this is your moment like, go out and have fun and you can
- 12:39tell Kevin Owens in the zone and he's like, thank you so much and
- 12:41I thought he's gonna start crying before.
- 12:42He hit the curtain, because Triple H just And of giving him
- 12:44that talk that he should have gave him after before.
- 12:47Like this is it you wanted. This is what you want to do,
- 12:50what he's like. This is your childhood dream was
- 12:52your childhood hero. He's coming back for you like a
- 12:54Kevin's. Like I know, I know and then he
- 12:56fuckin goes out and does we supposed to do?
- 12:58And it was cool because I didn't know this is, obviously, you
- 13:01don't see this on cameras but essentially the entire locker
- 13:05rooms cleared out and if they weren't in gorilla because they
- 13:08had people like that a camera and gorilla of like Seth Rollins
- 13:10laughing and like this is so cool.
- 13:12Like and everyone reacting a stone-cold taking the Bumps and
- 13:14stuff. But the whole locker room was
- 13:16outside, stay on the side, stay just watching Kevin Owens,
- 13:20Kevin, it was just a cool moment.
- 13:21I just those reasons. They're like I love professional
- 13:23wrestling. That was behind the scene,
- 13:25things that a lot of people don't experience or know about
- 13:27absolutely love that so much. It is mainly a week to.
- 13:32Are you excited? I am actually I am it's night
- 13:35one but yeah I'm probably know I'm going to as well.
- 13:38I have a booking. I'm going to go to our no I
- 13:41won't miss Knight one. I'll miss so night one for me is
- 13:43Friday because it's all the gcw stuff but I won't miss 91 or 92?
- 13:47Is there a match or something? Anything this weekend you're
- 13:49really looking forward to Romina.
- 13:51Cody, Roman Coatings that how 100% if Kevin win the Tag Team
- 13:55titles? He's held a world title
- 13:57Universe. He has held The world title.
- 14:01Hey, I see a us. And now a tag.
- 14:04So he. Oh wow.
- 14:05He will complete his well, he's missing one of the world titles
- 14:08but I feel like if you had one that counts as a world title.
- 14:10No, I agree. I agree.
- 14:12Yeah, I'm pumped. Sorry, Sidetrack.
- 14:15Now, we take a lot of side quests on this podcast, but so
- 14:21when you, when you're doing this this, you know, your schooling
- 14:24and stuff. How long did it take you before?
- 14:26You went from training to stepping in for your first
- 14:28match. I know from my training point to
- 14:34the six month period I started roughing.
- 14:36So I want to say a little under a year.
- 14:38I was scheduling my debut against are Roxas and then covid
- 14:41happened so then I ended up waiting three months and Chris
- 14:47Banks. Oddly enough, great guy helped
- 14:50me a lot. He texted me and said hey do you
- 14:53want to debut at eclipse? And I kind of texted glory and I
- 14:57asked him for his permission and he said you're right.
- 14:59So yeah, I'll give you the thumbs up, you can go.
- 15:02So I had my unofficial official debut at Eclipse against Chris
- 15:06but then when covid ended, I came back home to back burgers
- 15:10and debut against and Roxas. Yeah.
- 15:12Now when you first debuted, you weren't Nathaniel Cunningham
- 15:17correct? The correct.
- 15:18I was Roberto Garcia. How did this character come
- 15:23about? So we were getting ready for my
- 15:26debut. Over-talking characters.
- 15:27And Glory kind of just said What do you want to do?
- 15:31And I had no idea at all in, Chris was working out with me a
- 15:34little bit and he's like, well, your small guy, you're, you
- 15:38know, you can do all this flippy stuff.
- 15:40Why don't you just try to mix a little looser and like, I know
- 15:43how to do Luke. I'll teach you.
- 15:45So, I started learning the style, and I actually fell in
- 15:47love with it. So I was like, all right, I'm
- 15:50just gonna be a full-on Luchador, and it kind of all
- 15:52happened too quick, but then when it happened, and it kept
- 15:56happening, and I kept running with that character, it came
- 15:59Point where like I felt so closed off.
- 16:02I really couldn't talk. I really couldn't be me or
- 16:05because you are essentially a Spanish Luchador.
- 16:07Oh, yes in Spanish, exactly. I remember, it's funny.
- 16:19I didn't, I wasn't aware of this until later because once again,
- 16:21like backbreakers I didn't have backstage access and I, and
- 16:24that's why I kind of really like backbreakers for a while.
- 16:26There, we would come and film interviews because I wasn't
- 16:29privy to a lot. Lot of talent.
- 16:30And it was like a new area of talented people.
- 16:32I didn't really know and we interviewed you.
- 16:35When you had your first title and you were still very new to
- 16:40your career and I remember interviewing you and talking to
- 16:42you and then a couple months later, like, oh yeah, he's
- 16:44losing his mask and I was like, oh that's him.
- 16:47I didn't know and no idea of the transition between you and the
- 16:51masks and stuff. And I just remember I was there
- 16:54for your first title win. And then we were there, I was
- 16:57there when you lost your mask, yes.
- 16:59Yes. Yeah, and I think when I won the
- 17:02title, I think it was only my second or third match against
- 17:04Travis Dorian. Oh my God, Donnie was going to
- 17:06be the masked. Oh yeah, yeah, we were actually
- 17:09gonna do, he's gonna be tank the Unicorn crappy the Mantis.
- 17:14It was gonna be a comedy tag-team gimmick, and we were
- 17:16just gonna roll with it, and then we came up with nothing or
- 17:19Cunningham and he shot for Donny Bambino, we just happen to be
- 17:23the bad fellas. Sorry running here.
- 17:28How do you running? Yeah.
- 17:32Now he's now he went. Now he's doing this whole new
- 17:34thing where he's not even an Italian mob anymore.
- 17:36He just he's a he's a really good Boulder.
- 17:39Yeah. And I cut back on the
- 17:40flamboyancy side of things because you know, after a while
- 17:44it's great, you know, to be that arrogant cocky, pretty boy?
- 17:48So to say, but like I'm just really honing in to like change
- 17:52my style little bit to match his and I think That's what makes us
- 17:55a unique tag team at this point. I totally agree.
- 17:59I, this is the one and I talked to you about this to the only
- 18:03critique I had of your character was that I'm not a baller, was,
- 18:11was you? You had a character who was very
- 18:14similar to somebody else that kind of came out of your school
- 18:17and I was like, man, I wish like you would like and it was going
- 18:20to actually going to happen. I'm glad you're kind of coming
- 18:22to and be like I can find another neat.
- 18:24Like you're kind of changing it up a little bit.
- 18:26I think is going to benefit you more, I think you're going to
- 18:28step up and become your own thing.
- 18:31Now, you know what I mean, and really find yourself.
- 18:33So I so I think it'd be kind of cool to see you maybe like that
- 18:36like underlying of like the the the for the, the mob boss or
- 18:41whatever it may be. I think, I think you guys is
- 18:43like Italian, goons would be really funny and it's a gimmick
- 18:46that never gets old. I mean, NXT can do it double,
- 18:48you can do it, but it's just, it's just something that stands
- 18:50the test of time. You know what I mean?
- 18:51Like, look back a little Guido and the full blooded Italians.
- 18:54And it's just something that you can keep rewashing because you
- 18:56could just turn it to 11 and Be Good Fellows but not Goodfellas.
- 19:00You don't mean like it? Yeah, it's just something you
- 19:02can have a lot of fun with and I think I'm really excited to see
- 19:05how you can transition and take this character to another level.
- 19:09Well, yeah, and essentially with like Donny, I we can cut
- 19:13problems, but we don't have got to discuss them, like, that's
- 19:15the best part. We just kind of feed off each
- 19:17other and we just say whatever and the other one follows, but
- 19:20we don't have rehearsal time. We don't have none of that.
- 19:23We just go out there and do our thing.
- 19:24And that's the best way to do it for us.
- 19:27Anyway, I was having a conversation and and and the
- 19:31conversation was how are these kids and it wasn't coming from a
- 19:35place of distain or this our jealousy or our didn't are
- 19:40wasn't happy for you guys. But a lot of the question was
- 19:42like, these guys are very, very young in their career how they
- 19:44getting so many bookings outside of their area and I literally
- 19:47said, I said, because their characters characters are easier
- 19:51to book. If your character is, I'm just a
- 19:53tough guy. Why?
- 19:55But you're not a tough guy yet, because you're still new and
- 19:57green. It's hard to get that over in a
- 19:59promotion and sell yourself to a promotion.
- 20:01But when the dawn, when an Italian mobster a hippie to
- 20:06college Frat, Boys show. And all these vibrant fun
- 20:10characters that can work but also can play a character, they
- 20:13are going to get more. Bookings because a promoter
- 20:15could say, okay, I can see where I can use this character.
- 20:19To the dude walks in still very new, working things out learning
- 20:23himself as a professional. There.
- 20:24But you look at the doodle, well, there's my comedy guy.
- 20:28There's my comedy guy, bang, there's my matchup, that's how
- 20:31you're going to get more opportunities because you're
- 20:33becoming a character and you're putting yourself out there and
- 20:36you're turning it to 11. And then once you learn that
- 20:39character, I feel like if you want to be the tough guy later
- 20:41on down the road because you put on muscle on or you become that
- 20:44vet, then go do that then to but I think it's going to help you
- 20:48learn the ring. I think it's gonna help you get
- 20:49more bookings and I said what's why?
- 20:51I think? I think you guys are standing
- 20:52out a little more than than Than and getting the respect and not
- 20:57and maybe the bookings, you deserve is because you're you're
- 21:00willing to step out and do the character work.
- 21:02You know, I agree. I agree and the only thing I
- 21:05will never come out with the gun is the mirror because I was
- 21:08wrestling Ricky at you CW. And, you know, we had a spot
- 21:12planned out in the beginning where he's just gonna gut shot
- 21:14me in the corner and the mirror ended up smashing over my head
- 21:18unfortunately, and all on it, rookies back.
- 21:20I was like, oh Jesus. Here we go.
- 21:22Opening of the matter though. I think we do.
- 21:24His master on the main card the last in the ring now.
- 21:28Yeah, MJ's this time, this time he said, oh shit, just had to
- 21:31clean it up. I was like, oh Jesus, yeah, that
- 21:34just happened. So, what exactly where exactly
- 21:37are you going to do for this new character?
- 21:38What are some ideas you have? Are you still saying that then
- 21:41you're cutting ham or how is it working?
- 21:42Yeah, I'm still saying solely, not the end up coming.
- 21:45Here I'm name-based me. And Danny are just gonna we're
- 21:48still working out the Kinks here to yeah, polish, everything over
- 21:52to be more of a cohesive unit. I would hear, are you guys gonna
- 21:56be serious? You be comedy.
- 21:58What are you trying to go for? I think a mix of both a little
- 22:01mix about the happy medium, Jeff Watts, Always Sunny, yes, you
- 22:06ever see the episode where the gang joins the mob and they all
- 22:08start dressing like the gate, the Italian Mobsters, yes.
- 22:12And they all wear the Adidas track suits and the chains and
- 22:15just go if that, if you want to go comedy, watch that episode
- 22:18and emulate that. All right, because he actually
- 22:21gave me a change. I have a pinky ring, we have
- 22:23tracks. We have the whole nine right
- 22:25now. Yeah.
- 22:26Watch that episode emulate, that.
- 22:28And then once you guys, if you want to do more of a serious
- 22:30role than, obviously start looking at more serious Italian
- 22:32stuff. But I would lean more into like
- 22:35you listen, we can go out there and we can body you and be that
- 22:38but I would lean more to the comedy too, because I think
- 22:40comments in the get your those early opportunities and
- 22:42bookings. I agree.
- 22:44Yeah. Great.
- 22:45Yeah. I think that'd be a lot of fun.
- 22:46I'm excited. I'm excited to see it.
- 22:48Um, I lost my quite Macho. So when you won your first title
- 22:54once, Again, comedy is was always going to people stick in
- 22:56people's brains and this is why I think it's kind of it is wide.
- 22:59My favorite thing is gimmicks is you wrestled Travis Dorian in a
- 23:04cruiserweight title match and Travis Dorian is clearly not a
- 23:08cruiserweight. No, but it was very, very
- 23:13entertaining and fun and it and listen that car that night, I
- 23:17believe kit, wrestles Gangrel. But the thing that sticks out to
- 23:21me was your title win because it Was very funny to see Travis as
- 23:26a 2005 guy or whatever. Here they build him as Russell
- 23:30for a Cruiserweight title because I said that's what's
- 23:33going to stick in your brain, is that funny story line that got
- 23:36you chuckling, how was it winning your first title and
- 23:39being told at by Glory at that point in time that we have
- 23:42enough faith in you to put a, put the cruiserweight title on
- 23:45you. It was, it was definitely
- 23:48bittersweet because you were only months in at that time,
- 23:50right? You weren't even at your full
- 23:51year mark. No, not at all.
- 23:54Yeah, and it was bittersweet because squid.
- 23:57I was supposed to wrestle him and he got hurt the night
- 24:00before. Yeah.
- 24:01I didn't care about the title when titles just a prop and if
- 24:04we were always taught that but it's always nice to win a title.
- 24:07You know what I mean? Absolutely.
- 24:09But that day the next day Glory came up to me and he's like,
- 24:13hey, I don't know who you're gonna rustle book.
- 24:15You're gonna wrestle someone and later in the day.
- 24:19I think maybe 15 minutes before doors, open, he called me over
- 24:22and he's like, oh, you're gonna rustle Travis tonight for the
- 24:24Cruiserweight title. I just kind of laughed.
- 24:26I was like, aw, Travis gonna get the title and it's gonna be
- 24:29funny. And he said that, you know,
- 24:31we're going to put it on you. I was like, oh, okay, and we
- 24:34kind of just talked over everything.
- 24:36And I, I know I won the title, but in my mind, I did it because
- 24:42I didn't wrestle squid who had the title.
- 24:45I like there's never Really concluded that or ever explored
- 24:49that, right? No, because the next show squid
- 24:52came back as his press enter and a triple threat when I was
- 24:55defending against a Roxas. So we never went one-on-one or
- 24:58had that Feud and then next thing you know you know back
- 25:01Burgers kind of close the doors a little bit understandably but
- 25:04yeah, squid is Loki. One of those guys to that.
- 25:08He really, really entertains me and he's fun to watch as a
- 25:12professional wrestler. I remember seeing him the first
- 25:15time, Obviously everything that you do in this business is
- 25:18visual first. So someone sees you do something
- 25:20and you're like, what the fuck? Like this is good.
- 25:22You're like, what is this guy? And then he goes out there and
- 25:25works and you're like almost good fan.
- 25:27You know what I mean? Yeah, possibly, possibly coming
- 25:29on the podcast soon me you're out may have already locked in a
- 25:33date, but no, that's something. I kind of.
- 25:36Now I kind of wish we would have seen more of that.
- 25:38Like, I'd like to see you in Squid, work an angle or are get
- 25:41some stuff and I think that'd be really fun to watch.
- 25:44Yeah, I agree. But there's another example you
- 25:48come in, you have your character, you have your
- 25:50gimmick. And then Travis Dorian, who is a
- 25:52badass but also can work. He always gets somehow paired up
- 25:56in a comedy role but he's such a utilized team player and this is
- 26:00where I think like I love the 570 and I'm sure it probably
- 26:02happens in every wrestling business but like our talent in
- 26:06this area and our veterans, like the Travis dorian's and the kits
- 26:09and the diamond cities of the world can walk into a locker
- 26:13like a, we don't really have anything tonight and they're
- 26:15just like, Dorian, you're big and you can throw people around,
- 26:18go Chuck this kid around and go out there and have some fun.
- 26:21Yeah, you know I mean I've seen him do it with you.
- 26:24I've seen them done at what precious at Sanctuary like broke
- 26:27that kid in his first match, like dorian's are really good
- 26:29person to have in a locker room, he is and that for some reason
- 26:34that was the least nervous matter of had is because we made
- 26:37it fun. And I knew he was going to take
- 26:39care of me because Travis is just that kind of guy and we
- 26:43called the match, it was really fun and After he just kind of,
- 26:46like, uplifted me. Like it was it was the one of
- 26:49the best matches of had he is, he is my favorite wrestler, and
- 26:55it's not because he's good in the ring or he transformed his
- 26:58body. And he lost a ton of weight
- 27:00during the pandemic and got super swollen blinged out
- 27:03really. Well, it's because he brings me
- 27:04beer, every time he wrestles. Yeah.
- 27:07And you really, he's like the most humble this guy in the
- 27:10locker room to my lovely. Is he such a nice guy?
- 27:13He is he really is. That's how you if you want to
- 27:16win. Me over on commentary.
- 27:17Look at you, Ricky price. Bring me beer, don't break your
- 27:20face. Don't bring me beer.
- 27:21And if you do, make sure it's already closed, I will not drink
- 27:24an open beer from you. I don't trust him.
- 27:27I wouldn't either. That's crazy.
- 27:31But yeah, so you you get that opportunity, obviously the the
- 27:34saying stuff. Yeah.
- 27:35Sanctuary the backbreakers then closes down.
- 27:38You guys transition to the new school but you're out there.
- 27:43Taking those bookings were Or some other places that you've
- 27:46worked that stand out for you or that you feel like in your early
- 27:49stages of wrestling promotions that giving you have given you
- 27:52opportunity, or maybe some matchups that you have had that.
- 27:54You feel like really have made you turn the corner and find
- 27:57yourself as a wrestler. So, the promotion's definitely a
- 28:03triple wa. I mean, like, you can have a
- 28:06great match. Their, if there's a crowd is
- 28:08great, they're easy to work. So, it's a great start starting
- 28:12point for young Talent. I've Eclipse, they're a
- 28:16fantastic place to work. I work Sanctuary, which I also
- 28:20love going there. It's like driving our and you're
- 28:23pretty much home. I love that place.
- 28:25It's awesome and like be season, 13 coming soon.
- 28:29Yes, yes. And I will be at that show.
- 28:33100%, I've worked rope to rope. I mean, that's a great starting
- 28:38point to for some young guys. There's been a lot of promotions
- 28:41that I'm probably forgetting right now, but I appreciate all
- 28:44the Opportunities. And the matchups that I've had
- 28:47for the turning point for me and like, what I thought made me
- 28:50better was Aaron Roxas. That he was great to me.
- 28:55Working. Shelby was a lot of fun.
- 28:57That was probably by far my favorite match so far other than
- 29:02Andy had her. That was incredible.
- 29:06I think those are the Pinnacle moments where I would realize
- 29:10like, hey, I can do this and then where I realized how much
- 29:13fun I can have with it. And who I can really stand in
- 29:18the ring with and work as a unit, which was like, Andy had.
- 29:21It was my one of my favorite matches as well because he's so
- 29:25easy to work. yeah, I was head on saying, hey, there's not easy
- 29:30to work, but header is someone who I thought like, It's crazy.
- 29:36It's a testament out for how long he's been doing it.
- 29:38And how good he is with younger talent?
- 29:40Because I've seen him do that countless of times.
- 29:43We're at a promotion, they're like, well, headers, a veteran,
- 29:45we could put him in with the young guy.
- 29:47He'll keep the young I say, but he'll also learn but header
- 29:49pushes a really fast pace in a match.
- 29:52He's never stops moving. No, which is if you're not
- 29:56cardio ready, like I feel like Heather could easily blow you
- 29:59up. Thank you minutes easily.
- 30:01Yeah, easily. And especially when had he lost
- 30:03all his weight during the pandemic and And he's he pushes
- 30:06even faster Pace now. So when usually, when someone
- 30:08says, hey I'm going to work header this weekend.
- 30:10Like you better have your card are ready because I have two
- 30:12dudes getting back to who's gonna push you to a fairly fast?
- 30:14There's not a lot of down rest spots.
- 30:16Whatever. No, not at all, not at all.
- 30:19And I like that style because coming from, you know, being a
- 30:22Luchador to now, turns a thing to who I am now in a dinner
- 30:27Cunningham, I mean, I found it fun.
- 30:29I found it like kind of going back to where I had to be that
- 30:32faster paced, but also telling the story and that's the most
- 30:35Our part. Are you going to bring more of
- 30:38the Lucha style back, like are more into this character.
- 30:41Now that now that you're working with Donnie, has more like the
- 30:44base, the big guy and then there's like, Lucha style-wise,
- 30:47like what are.what are something like, are you, are you opposed
- 30:50to going to the top jumping off doing, you know, moonsault stuff
- 30:54like that? Like, where do you lie?
- 30:55When it comes to like, being a high flyer.
- 30:57I'm fine with it. I mean I can't do a moonsault
- 30:59because he can't do a backflip, but even at like this past
- 31:02weekend a triple-double, you Amy and Danni I stood on the
- 31:05shoulders to give a crossbody. So like we're back to I'm back
- 31:09to the high-flying PACE and he's just there to be the big guy in
- 31:14Powerhouse it. Yeah.
- 31:16Now I really when you guys teamed up and I was like oh the
- 31:19pretty boy in the Italian guy like I just like I'm glad you're
- 31:22transitioning. I think it's going to.
- 31:24I honestly think it's going to you're going to have more fun
- 31:26with it. I think absolutely 100.
- 31:28Yeah, totally totally think that's going to be a thing for
- 31:31you. We're you guys book next.
- 31:35Tag team that we can see use, I'm pretty sure this weekend a
- 31:39PC. Wa we might be working a tag,
- 31:42but we have triple wa coming up. We have pwx in Pittsburgh.
- 31:47Pittsburgh, you guys that's a drag.
- 31:49Yeah, yeah, that's the in July. It's a little far out, but we're
- 31:52kind of like secure a little more dates like, far enough in
- 31:56advance. I'm pretty sure.
- 31:59I don't have. Hold on.
- 32:00I'll check let me dou. S, maybe maybe one of these
- 32:04First Fridays are the Sanctuary. We can see you guys in the tag
- 32:07action because I definitely want to.
- 32:09I want to see you guys work. That's I'm pretty excited for
- 32:10it. I'm hoping.
- 32:12So that's what I'm hoping for is well, and we're going down to
- 32:15Eclipse as well. Cool, cool.
- 32:18I've seen a lot of stuff for Eclipse.
- 32:19I definitely got to get out there.
- 32:20One of these weekends II made a poster of the day say, and it
- 32:23wasn't like a post saying, I don't want, I don't want more
- 32:28bookings. Like I'm open to it, but I'm at
- 32:30the point now where Ike the only place I'm really doing
- 32:34commentary. At the moment is going to be iwa
- 32:38in Jersey and Sanctuary, everywhere else.
- 32:41I'm kind of Backstage, I'm helping with production.
- 32:44I'm doing things on the side helping with social media and
- 32:46I'm fine with that. I love commentary and I'll do
- 32:50commentary of needed, but I think it might go to the point
- 32:52to where if I show up at a show I just kind of want to, I want
- 32:55to be a content creator. I want, I really want to push
- 32:58the brand. I really want to push what I'm
- 32:59doing but taking less bookings. Lets me go and become a fan and
- 33:03go to the promotions and see wrestling again.
- 33:05Know what I mean? Yeah, experience at that way.
- 33:07And then maybe if they're like, hey, this match is the.
- 33:10We're going to have a special guest commentator of the ABJ
- 33:12podcast Anthony Blackwell. Joins us on commentary and I go
- 33:15do one. Maybe two matches then get out.
- 33:17I would do that in a heartbeat where it's still.
- 33:20Have I have a place on the show where I can do commentary but I
- 33:23can still like grab someone backstage and get a 15 20 minute
- 33:27interview where I can grab somebody in between or
- 33:29intermission and do something like that.
- 33:30Like I kind of want to lean more that direction but I do miss
- 33:34being able. To go see promotions that I'd
- 33:37never seen before, because if I would never have the opportunity
- 33:39to go to the backbreakers, I don't meet most of that roster.
- 33:42If I never had the opportunity to Sanctuary or every single
- 33:45time you go to a new promotion, it's just like a whole new batch
- 33:48of talent that you've never knew existed.
- 33:50And then, throw in a couple people, you probably do know and
- 33:52it just makes you more well-rounded in this industry,
- 33:54especially me as a content creator and an interviewer, or I
- 33:57get to see new people and see new faces and be like, yo, how
- 34:00do I never see this person before?
- 34:02They're really fucking good. You know what I mean, laughs?
- 34:04So I'm really excited. Cited to hopefully own that in
- 34:07more and eclipse is definitely a name that I've been hearing a
- 34:10lot and that's why I definitely want to go see what's going on
- 34:12there. The great talent there.
- 34:14Yeah, I'm great talent on there. Yeah.
- 34:16And like, who's there champions of right now?
- 34:20Do you know, like Bob top your head Idina?
- 34:22Okay, I think the Joey P still might be one.
- 34:26Okay, I'm not mistaken. Yeah.
- 34:29So when it comes to, you know, the it's were three months into
- 34:32the new year but who were some people?
- 34:35Are on the on the list of Nathaniel Cunningham that you
- 34:38want to maybe now you're Italian mobster that you maybe you want
- 34:42to whack that's on your list there who are the people you
- 34:45want to work. So me and Donny, definitely want
- 34:47to work Tom Mitchell and I forget his partner's name but
- 34:51they nice and smooth. I think they are called.
- 34:54Yeah, they are amazing. And I found Mitchell is, he's
- 34:59someone I've watched transition from a backstage interviewer to
- 35:02a wrestler. He is so Really hard working
- 35:06that I've even seen him putting together matches, but still
- 35:08trying to stay in his role of Backstage, and make sure the
- 35:11backstage side of things goes, well, because it's still
- 35:13something that is maybe not thought of as hard in the
- 35:16business, but it's something that he knows how important it
- 35:18can be to do the backstage interviews and promos and watch
- 35:21him. Transition from that role to a
- 35:23wrestler. He has a great.
- 35:24Look, great attitude. I'm a big fan of Tom Mitchell.
- 35:28Yeah. And I met him when he started
- 35:30being an interviewer at ppw and like to see him now like he's
- 35:35It's funny because a lot of those interviews, he would like
- 35:39do a split what he talked because he's taller than most
- 35:42people. So he would make himself look
- 35:44smaller while he did interviews because he's actually, he's a
- 35:47nice-size kid. He is he is.
- 35:49And that's actually smart idea. Yeah.
- 35:51And the next tag team, we definitely want to work edge of
- 35:54Hope like Sarah Wray nematic. That would be an incredible
- 35:58moment for us because we learn a lot of those guys.
- 36:01Same thing with TJ epics and chale's Connors like, are we
- 36:04ready for so good? There's some, you know, yet, but
- 36:06they would definitely be like, they teach it a lot.
- 36:09Listen, man, you, you guys do what you and Donny I mean,
- 36:13Donnie working Sky. Rose was no, slouch that was not
- 36:15a slouch match, and I hope he realizes how well he did in that
- 36:19match. And and you guys can work a lot
- 36:23of names that maybe you didn't think you could in the past like
- 36:26you work and had her him work and Sky, Rose there two,
- 36:28Veterans of this game, who work a style that not a lot of people
- 36:32can say they've worked, you know what I mean?
- 36:35Mean so definitely build that confidence up thinking like
- 36:38yeah, I can work this person. I'd love to maybe dip my toes in
- 36:41and try somebody, you know, on that level because you
- 36:43definitely both can you both can do what you deserve it?
- 36:46Well I appreciate it. I do appreciate it.
- 36:49Donnie's in the chat. Chase trace Parker.
- 36:53Trace. Oh, that's his name.
- 36:55We have time until and Tracy Parker.
- 36:57Okay. Yeah.
- 36:58Diamond city is another one. You know, obviously if you're
- 37:01doing the whole thing, I feel like if you're entering the tag
- 37:04space, you got to get a diamond City match, 100%.
- 37:06That would be a really fun match. 100%.
- 37:11Yeah. Anybody else out there and are
- 37:13you, are you more? Are you happy that you're more
- 37:15diving into a tag-team style role?
- 37:18And maybe not so much singles? Or how is it from you?
- 37:21Because, you know, you, you were essentially, were the salt
- 37:23singles guy for a while and now you're more leaning into the tag
- 37:26team style. What, where do you have to go?
- 37:28Mentally, or what are you feel like transitioning from one to
- 37:30the other is for you. I mean, if I get booked as a
- 37:34singles, I'll still take it. It's great.
- 37:36But I'm having the most fun right now.
- 37:38Is a tag team with Donnie. Like, we've discussed it back
- 37:41and forth. I asked them, you know, like, if
- 37:43you want to go back to singles, we can both separate and go.
- 37:46Our separate ways. Again, are just Men Travel or
- 37:49just manage each other and he's like, no.
- 37:50Like I want to do this. Like we have a lot of fun
- 37:52together, and there's a lot of ideas there even for Content,
- 37:56like we have a lot of ideas, so it's just going to be exciting
- 38:00to see how this year plans plays out with Donnie by my side.
- 38:04So we're trying to get his money Todd tag, bookings as possible.
- 38:07Donnie wants, South Philly's, Finest.
- 38:10I knew he does really bad but he also thinks we're going to mesh
- 38:15really, really well with them. And I mean, if the opportunity's
- 38:18there, we would love to do love that opportunity.
- 38:21Yeah. Yeah, it would be a whole thing
- 38:22where they would say your gimmick infringing in them.
- 38:24And then, yeah, we're real Italians and you guys are fake.
- 38:27Know, we're real Italians and you're not faking.
- 38:31Yeah, that would be a lot of fun.
- 38:33They're also really good guys. But yeah, I like I said, even if
- 38:38you do the single of roll like and he said you're always travel
- 38:40with each other just and ringside with each other, you
- 38:42know what I mean? Like you can still work singles,
- 38:44but keep this thing going. And we'll honestly, one of the
- 38:47things that I keep hate to give him props.
- 38:49But like, when you're working with a guy, Backstage like a
- 38:53Ricky you know I mean rmj stacks and they're putting the work in
- 38:56that they're doing with in the ring.
- 38:58But also in promos like you have to see that and be like it's
- 39:02working for them, they're getting more opportunities
- 39:04because of the work they're putting in promo wise, like I
- 39:07feel like in your group it's got to be.
- 39:09It's got to be one of those things.
- 39:10Like, we have to step it up. Yeah, no I agree and do to, you
- 39:15know, personal lives with me and Donny at the moment.
- 39:17You know, we couldn't have, we get together one day a week on a
- 39:20Sunday and That's when we start talking about ideas.
- 39:23So there's a lot of ideas to come still but we're just can't
- 39:27execute them right at this moment until we figure out
- 39:30what's going on. Yeah, that's why you do the
- 39:32whole fake. I'm on the phone with you dip.
- 39:35Yeah, okay always works. Honestly, I want to maybe I'm
- 39:40tip my hat a little bit here but I did that first promo to
- 39:42promote an episode with Ricky and I was like, man this that
- 39:45was really fun and it got a good reception and I think starting
- 39:49next month I think that's something I'm going to leave.
- 39:51Two more where I'm going to do like maybe not so much promos,
- 39:54but episode preview is like hey this is my next guest and here's
- 39:58you know here's some of the things they've accomplished and
- 39:59stuff like that like I need more to do for the podcast, right?
- 40:04People are already probably sick of me because I'm posting 34
- 40:06times Clips a day, but it's raining, but it's the only way
- 40:10to get in the algorithm be seen. You know what I mean?
- 40:12Like, one of the biggest things I had to learn especially if
- 40:15you're going to be in this space of making promos and stuff, is
- 40:18if you put a post out and this is I would actually Do this with
- 40:21promos. And if people are listening to
- 40:23maybe, maybe do this as well, but if you're putting a promo
- 40:25out and you have 2,000 friends on Facebook and you put it out
- 40:29at like 8:00 that post might only be seen from your 2,000
- 40:35Friends by 15. Yeah.
- 40:37Because the way the algorithm is so you have to keep like every
- 40:41so many hours, make it another post.
- 40:44So you stay active in the algorithm.
- 40:46So they push your content more. So it might be a deal where you
- 40:48might have to make two or three promos, just too.
- 40:51About. So people will be like, oh, they
- 40:52made this one and, oh, there's another one.
- 40:55Like, you have to kind of flood the market, but like the thing
- 40:58that made me so self-conscious for a long time, there was like,
- 41:00people are going to get annoyed but it's going to be more
- 41:02annoying than it is good. But you would be I'm actually
- 41:06finding out more that sometimes people are missing out of the
- 41:09seven Clips I post throughout the week.
- 41:11Maybe they only see three but at least we're seeing the three.
- 41:14They didn't even see the full seven if that makes any sense.
- 41:17It does. And Ricky actually helped me so
- 41:19much with social media because, you know, I am a social media
- 41:22God, but not to the extent. He is so with his help.
- 41:26It really, like showed me a different way yet.
- 41:28Again, I have some personal things going on and some things
- 41:31I'm separating with. So I'm going to start guys back
- 41:35on the social, guys. Making sense.
- 41:36Let people get annoyed. They're not the ones you want to
- 41:38reach anyway. Exactly.
- 41:40Yeah, yeah, absolutely. And that it's and I like I said,
- 41:44there's not many people doing it.
- 41:45So when you're a talent who are making promos, but actually
- 41:49putting a little more effort into your problem was with video
- 41:51editing. And adding the fun things in it
- 41:53gets noticed and you're gonna get more opportunities because
- 41:56you're doing it. I agree.
- 41:57And I am the really fucking fun. If you let your inhibitions
- 42:00down, and do a promo and get Goofy with it.
- 42:03It's so much fun. And then like once you make one,
- 42:06then more people that shows when you, when you show up at a show
- 42:09this look, you'll want to film something this weekend.
- 42:10It's like yeah, let's film something this weekend.
- 42:12You know what I mean? Like, it's a good time.
- 42:15Yeah. No.
- 42:15I agree. And I hear somebody bumped on in
- 42:17the background. Yeah.
- 42:19Yeah. Who's bumping.
- 42:21It's a beginner's class tonight. Oh, no.
- 42:23It might be Big D, which he's, he's gonna be an amazing talent
- 42:27least done. Is that like, the really, really
- 42:29jacked ever met? Dude?
- 42:30That was here. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 42:32He is phenomenal. Like, he's going to be a star
- 42:36when he is at that point. Six like I'm excited to see him.
- 42:39Yeah. He's Ricky actually brought him
- 42:41in so like no better person to be brought in Maybe this pry,
- 42:47maybe a few but yeah. And this area I mean yeah, well
- 42:52bottom of the barrel you know but how is it now transitioning
- 42:56from, you know, training student and now you're getting a little
- 43:00more responsibilities at the school and at the, you know, if
- 43:03her for High Ground, how is it managing all that?
- 43:06And then how you're saying like you're at the school right now?
- 43:08Opening the doors for a beginner's class.
- 43:13It's a ride. I'll say Out in the ride, I was
- 43:18when Glory before he decided to step away and take a Hiatus on.
- 43:22I did want to learn more of the backstage stuff just to be all
- 43:25rounded just to know exactly why we do things in this business on
- 43:28the promotional side and the rest of the side.
- 43:30But then it kind of just I kind of just got flooded with a lot
- 43:34of things that I didn't know how to do and I kind of taught
- 43:37myself but I mean it's very stressful.
- 43:41It's not that I don't like it but it's starting to become a
- 43:48little overbearing. So I think I think a lot of it
- 43:52could be also I don't want to speak for you but like your
- 43:54dream is to be a wrestler like it's cool to learn that stuff
- 43:57but also you don't want to over bury yourself and then lose your
- 44:00opportunities to be a wrestler because you're taking on other
- 44:02responsibilities. Exactly.
- 44:04So I think at this point like I've done it, I realized, you
- 44:08know what I'm doing right now and I think it's time for me to
- 44:11To shift change again and just like kind of just focus on me a
- 44:14little more and just be more all around it.
- 44:17For me, like, I can go to the gym more.
- 44:18If you know, I had more time I could build myself up where I
- 44:22can think of better ideas for promos or character work.
- 44:24Like there's so much more time that I need for myself.
- 44:28Yeah that's exactly what the whole con you know commentary
- 44:33thing for me is like sure. I every Saturday I can go and
- 44:36take a booking at a different place and do commentary
- 44:38different places but also can I really give all my attention.
- 44:41Every single one of those promotions and give them every
- 44:44single bit of a BJ that I can give them, or do I take less
- 44:47take more pride in their promotions, I'm working with and
- 44:50do my still work on my brand, they believe in my brand but
- 44:53then also be able to put the effort into my brand but also
- 44:56into their promotion. So I can be a staple like, when
- 44:59I work for a promotion and this is not trying to sound selfish
- 45:01or anything like that, but if you bring me in to be part of
- 45:04your promotion, I want people to when they think of your
- 45:06promotion, especially if I'm commentary, or if I'm there
- 45:09doing stuff, I want to be so So involved and I want to be able
- 45:13to work so hard that people, I want to be associated with.
- 45:16It says that's part of that promotion.
- 45:17Hey Sanctuary Anthony block-long commentary MBP.
- 45:21Like I want to work as hard as everybody else to get the name
- 45:23out there and be a representation of that brand.
- 45:26But it's hard to do when you fill your plate up so much.
- 45:28Absolutely. And last year, I was trying for
- 45:31booking so hard and I got a lot but this year already I decided
- 45:35to be a little dumb and I was like, you know, I'm not going to
- 45:38reach out to as many places. You know, the old places.
- 45:40I used to work in are going to do it.
- 45:41Down. That's a mistake on my part.
- 45:43I want as many bookings as possible.
- 45:45And I'm just gonna start hittin it hard again because yeah, I
- 45:49can only help myself. Yeah and I'm sure along that
- 45:53process. You'll find a locker room.
- 45:54You're like, you know what? I think I'm going to make this
- 45:57locker room, a little more of a priority because I enjoy what's
- 45:59happened here? And I'm growing here and then
- 46:01work there until you get to a point.
- 46:02You're like, alright, I think I hit my ceiling here.
- 46:04Let's go. Find the next one and it's no
- 46:06disrespect to that promotion, but that's the beautiful thing
- 46:08of doing stuff like, well, I'm here, I got my reps.
- 46:11I feel like somebody else can take this role.
- 46:13Now, I'm going to spread my wings and see if I can grow
- 46:15somewhere else. See new Talent, see new faces
- 46:18stretch, my wings. And and you know I mean and get
- 46:20that new muscle memory somewhere else.
- 46:22Exactly. And I'm not going to speak for
- 46:25my whole group here. But ever since back Burke is
- 46:27closed I think we kind of feel you know like we don't have a
- 46:31home right now. So we're just trying to like the
- 46:33best place for us is finding a home and like it comes with the
- 46:36great locker room, great set of mentors and just an overall
- 46:40great show. Yeah, absolutely.
- 46:44If anyone has any questions in the chat, please get them in
- 46:48where we'll get your guy stuff in there.
- 46:50We're getting closer to that our markets.
- 46:52It rolls up fast, you know, when you're having fun conversation.
- 46:55So besides professional wrestling and everything else
- 46:59that you're doing on the side plus by the way, the backstage
- 47:02things. You know what something II
- 47:03didn't realize until I was part of a ring announcing and hosting
- 47:07job. Timing, I never something.
- 47:09I never thought of like when you're sitting a comment Are you
- 47:11don't give a fuck about timing. You're just you're just like up
- 47:14matches hero. Talk about it, get it to the
- 47:15next one. And then you're like, man, we're
- 47:17here for a while. I couldn't imagine being in
- 47:19charge of making sure everyone's in their spots, get in, get
- 47:21their time in and are are what going over by three minutes can
- 47:25do for a show. I just learned that over the
- 47:27weekend. Like holy Hannah, that's a lot
- 47:29of work. That's a lot of responsibility.
- 47:31That's its that's the most anxious part of like preparing
- 47:35that because I'm sitting there and I'm like you know if we go
- 47:38over by four minutes one or two matches I'm paying the doctor a
- 47:42few hundred bucks. Yeah.
- 47:44So you know I think I'm just going to worry about myself for
- 47:48it's a lot. It's not no not at all.
- 47:51Yeah. And the other thing with that
- 47:53too is like being a wrestler. I don't understand how you guys
- 47:58put together matches backstage. If you ever have the pleasure of
- 48:01hearing two wrestlers, put a match together, it's insane.
- 48:04And you're not going to learn anything at all.
- 48:07I'm pretty. I would say I'm very I'm a very
- 48:09smart wrestling fan but I listened to two people put a
- 48:12match together and they might as well be speaking Pig Latin.
- 48:16Yeah. Yeah a lot because it's a that
- 48:18too. Yeah it's I can I've listened
- 48:22and kind of like satin spied a little bit and listen to someone
- 48:25put a match together and then went out to commentary to see
- 48:28how much I can translate from what they said to what they were
- 48:30going to do didn't know a thing. They were going to do no idea
- 48:33because like oh we're gonna do the 1 2, then the Bing, and the
- 48:36bop, and then you hit me with a bit Bop and and then you're
- 48:39going to end. They say this terminology of a
- 48:41Move our sequence and wrestling, that everybody knows the
- 48:44sequence to. And I still haven't learned that
- 48:46stuff yet. And it's just like, there's
- 48:47still a whole nother Leo to this magic that I still haven't
- 48:50learned. It's crazy.
- 48:52And then you put all that together, but then in your brain
- 48:56you're putting the match together, but you're also like,
- 48:57okay, well that's sequence is probably a minute.
- 48:59This is probably two minutes. And then our match time is fit.
- 49:02I do a podcast and I look up and I'm like, oh, I'm 45 minutes
- 49:05into this conversation already. If I was a wrestler with my
- 49:08a.d.d. broad be terrible, I'd have 45 minutes.
- 49:11It matches because I would just lose track of time, you know?
- 49:14And that's the hardest part is to gauge it.
- 49:16And then once you figure out the psychology part and then how to
- 49:18gauge timing for a match, it becomes a little easier like
- 49:22Granite. I'm not a pro at it yet.
- 49:24I'm still green, I'm still learning.
- 49:26But as from day one from when I had my first match to now I
- 49:31think I've gotten significantly better and learned a lot.
- 49:34Yeah, this is one of those things where people listen to
- 49:36podcasts, because they want to hear interviews and stories,
- 49:38even if you're not a professional wrestling fan, you
- 49:40have no idea what Into this industry that you just think to
- 49:43guys go out in their underwear and smack each other around our
- 49:46girls. But it's just like there's so
- 49:48much more to this production than meets the eye and it's so
- 49:52fascinating to see everything it really is.
- 49:54Every single show. I go to, I pick up with
- 49:56something new or I learned something new.
- 49:58I didn't know existed because I don't want to learn everything
- 50:01in the business. I still like having a little bit
- 50:03of magic to me. I mean, like, I don't want to
- 50:05hear, I don't want to see every musicians and magician's trick,
- 50:08but it is, it is a very, very fast anything.
- 50:12Hunter dealing with the first one.
- 50:13Kicking it off like karaoke here.
- 50:16I have to ask it trademark question.
- 50:17If you can write a yell letter to your younger Nathaniel
- 50:20cutting him, what would you say? Don't be a yes man.
- 50:26I love that. Yeah.
- 50:27You know, focus on yourself and sit back and only take as much
- 50:33as you're willing to put out and, you know, by me saying,
- 50:36yes, yes, yes. All the time.
- 50:38I'm now feeding so many responsibilities that I don't
- 50:41even have a day to wash my clothes.
- 50:44Yeah. Yes, 100% haha.
- 50:48Yeah, pick and choose. You know, I mean it's tough
- 50:51because and and this is where I'll say like I can I can
- 50:54assimilate a little bit with the businesses you want to take in
- 50:57as much as you possibly can, like, all these opportunities,
- 50:59these are all opportunities. But some of them are not as good
- 51:02as opportunity you think they are and then you say yes to him
- 51:04and then I know at least me when you show up somewhere like well
- 51:06I feel obligated now cuz I said my because I want my word to be
- 51:09good and I don't want to be flaky and I don't want to bail
- 51:12on people but it just like I'm not really valued here.
- 51:14I'm just Another body, another Cog in the machine.
- 51:17At this one I could be a little bit of a bigger Cog and I can, I
- 51:20can do more. I can I can stretch myself more,
- 51:22maybe do more but have less responsive.
- 51:25Yep, just find where you fit, you know what I mean?
- 51:27But I think it was early stages. You want to take on?
- 51:29Take on, take on, take on, take on, take on.
- 51:31And then I guess a year, two, three, four years in your like,
- 51:35maybe I should dial back just a hair, you know?
- 51:38Yeah. Yeah.
- 51:39Down overload yourself so yeah, absolutely.
- 51:42Yes. So also because we were talking
- 51:44about before besides professional wrestling.
- 51:46What are some other things that are into?
- 51:47Are your hobbies are stuff that maybe people don't know about
- 51:50you Nathaniel Cunningham that, you're into definitely watching
- 51:53TV. TV's like my big, my big thing.
- 51:56Like if I'm just laying home, not really, I'm bored or not
- 51:59doing anything. I want to relax.
- 52:00I just don't a TV show. What are you currently watching
- 52:04right now? It's MILF manner MILF.
- 52:06Got manner, yes Discovery plus I it was the weirdest that's what
- 52:11they'll say. Very right.
- 52:12Yeah. Okay.
- 52:18I just wanted to see what it was about.
- 52:20I hear Milkman or I think that has a weird drumbeat the start
- 52:23every episode doomed. It's the weirdest part, you
- 52:29know, like I thought like be single moms are just going to go
- 52:32on a retreat to find love. But that may be that, you know,
- 52:36it's all their kids on this retreat with them going to date
- 52:39other moms and they're sharing a room.
- 52:41Room with them. It's really weird.
- 52:43Wait they're dating the moms are dating each other?
- 52:46The moms are gaining the sons of the other moms but the mom and
- 52:51son have to share a bedroom together.
- 52:54And if they want to sleep with the other MILF or vice versa,
- 52:57they have to go into the room with their mother as well.
- 53:00It's a very weird show. What the fuck?
- 53:06So the the sons are all going to hook up with other moms but they
- 53:11Have to date other moms while their moms are also dating
- 53:15younger men while they're there to yes.
- 53:17And they do make jokes with each other saying like I'm going to
- 53:20be in your stepdad. That that wouldn't sit well with
- 53:23me. If I was that son, I wouldn't
- 53:25even want to be involved in that so I can only imagine how they
- 53:28feel. It's an end wasn't shocking.
- 53:32Sick individual pitch the show and then it got greenlit.
- 53:36Here's exactly takes all these young people and they're gonna
- 53:40obviously click together. And there were going to take
- 53:42their moms and they're gonna try to bang their moms like what.
- 53:46But then they have to share a room is happening.
- 53:51And the weirdest thing is like the youngest kid on the show is
- 53:54dating the oldest woman on the show.
- 53:56Oh my goodness. It is a definitely a ride who
- 54:00pits. This is shit and it doesn't
- 54:04Discovery. I want this one on Netflix where
- 54:09they take like the youngest Most non-monogamous people on the
- 54:14planet and they're all like six pack abs, Instagram models and
- 54:18stick them on this island and the whole time they have like a
- 54:20million dollars in the pot and every time they physically touch
- 54:23each other, they lose money. And it just, yeah, it's
- 54:27essentially getting them all. And they're like, all right,
- 54:29today's activities body painting, and they just horn
- 54:31them all up and they're like, go to sleep.
- 54:33You'll undo anything and it just like the team has lost forty
- 54:37five thousand dollars and then always get the two that are
- 54:42repeat offenders with that toe. Yeah, they just can't stop
- 54:45touching each other, it's great. Yeah, I can see that, but the
- 54:47whole mom, honestly, you might have talked me into this show, I
- 54:50got to check it out. You have to check it out.
- 54:52I love trash reality TV, like especially when it's especially,
- 54:55when it's like social experiment stuff.
- 54:57I want to believe that it is like a social experiment, but I
- 54:59know it's all fucking scripted. Yeah.
- 55:01And like the weird part is like, there's the moms, you think they
- 55:05would like tone it back a little bit there, some sitting right
- 55:07next to them for the interview, but nope, they their moms are
- 55:10really let go of what Willing to do with the bed.
- 55:12And I'm like, what the hell is going on?
- 55:15Oh my God. I be so uncomfortable.
- 55:16If I was there, my mom. I would just drown myself in the
- 55:19ocean. I would just leave.
- 55:21Like, I tap out. See you later.
- 55:25What else do you watching? That should also be airing on
- 55:27the Hub? Well, I don't think anything
- 55:31else on the Hub. I'm, I'm really into that.
- 55:37You're right now. The society.
- 55:38I just started to, okay? Never thought it's a really, I
- 55:41know. It's only He won season.
- 55:42But like I really wish they went to because like I'm at the back
- 55:45end of it season now and it's like they really had a good
- 55:48story and place. I need to find a new show to
- 55:50watch, but every time I turn on the show, I just re-watched, the
- 55:53same horse shows over and over and over again.
- 55:55Yeah, parks office always sunny and Trailer Park, Boys are, I
- 55:59think you should leave or like, the only five shows I watch.
- 56:04And then I'm not watching that. I'm just consuming all
- 56:06professional wrestling. So, I need to take breaks here
- 56:08and there, like, I'm at a point now where I'm like, wrestling
- 56:10overload, where like, Like my video game right now because two
- 56:13k's popular is 2K and then when I'm not watching 2K I'm watching
- 56:17wrestling to get ready for. You know, the weekly show, I do
- 56:20that talk about wrestling. So every it's like a wrestling
- 56:23Overlord while load right now and I need something to escape
- 56:26from. It's a nice break sometimes to
- 56:28just take you enough wrestling, it is.
- 56:30Yeah, it's a lot once you're in a man, you just you're up to
- 56:33your neck in as soon as you start.
- 56:35Yep. You live it every day.
- 56:37Is there anything else you do? Besides movies.
- 56:39Are like our TV? I'm sorry.
- 56:41At the moment now because I was a yes, man.
- 56:44So now I have to dwindle back a little bit and find myself.
- 56:47Again. Do you or do you collect
- 56:48anything? Are you a gamer?
- 56:51Any other like side hobbies that you had you did previously I
- 56:57used to play video games but that's really you know there's
- 57:00no time for it now. But yeah I mean I just got a
- 57:03hole in back and find myself again and find out what I like
- 57:05to do as a person. Here's one thing I would
- 57:08definitely give advice to Anybody are especially to
- 57:12younger guys and girls is I'm learning this now especially
- 57:17with a lot of people in the business and I think it's
- 57:20something that really sparked our attention as something that
- 57:24we actually did together. We need to make more days where
- 57:28we're not booked to go and hang out with each other.
- 57:31Yeah, I know that sounds crazy to be like but we see each other
- 57:34almost every other weekend because we're working here and
- 57:36here together but it's way different going to go see a lie.
- 57:40Local band with people that are your friends and not be involved
- 57:45in the wrestling side of things. Honestly.
- 57:47I like I want to do more of that.
- 57:49I want to, I want to incorporate that more.
- 57:51Like I said, I want to do Dive Bar reviews and movie reviews
- 57:54for I just get the GoPro, go in the car and we go see a movie,
- 57:56and it doesn't even have to be filming content wise.
- 57:58But I, we just, you've got to take those things were like,
- 58:01hey, maybe this weekend. We're not booked here.
- 58:03Here and here, let's not try to find one.
- 58:05Let's go do something as a group.
- 58:07Let's like, get put your because I, there's a lot of times Right
- 58:10now we're the last five years of doing, professional wrestling
- 58:13and and and and podcasting and stuff where I don't get talked.
- 58:17Like, I'm not saying I lost friends because I still am very.
- 58:20I feel like I have a very large and vast friend group and and
- 58:24friend groups who don't even know each other friend group.
- 58:26Like, I'm not saying I'm very popular, but I'm just saying,
- 58:29like, I have a lot of people that I, that I consider I'm very
- 58:31close to. But the problem is, I don't get
- 58:34a lot of phone calls and saying, hey, we're hanging out this
- 58:36weekend, because a lot of their minds states have doing this for
- 58:39so long as he's busy, Not even gonna bother him.
- 58:41He's busy, he's he has something going on and then you almost get
- 58:44forgot about by your friend group because you've invested so
- 58:48much time. So it is nice that when you do
- 58:50have a weekend you can go and hang out with people and do
- 58:52things and don't like you said, don't overload yourself, still
- 58:57find ways to develop your relationships and spend time
- 58:59with if you have families and stuff like that.
- 59:02Like it's, it's important. It's really important.
- 59:05I agree. And I couldn't agree more.
- 59:07And yes, saying if I phone ends up, Dying or I can't have
- 59:11cutting out my phone's on three. Yeah.
- 59:13Well, we're literally wrapping up right now.
- 59:14Where can people find you on social media?
- 59:17Definitely my Facebook. And the Daniel Cunningham.
- 59:19I have a YouTube Nathanael coming ham.
- 59:21I have a tick, tock underscore Nathaniel Cunningham, and I'm
- 59:26trying out the Twitter thing. I just don't know, the username
