- 0:01Speaker 1: Really yet you're on the air. Good morning, Good morning.
- 0:04Speaker 2: So I ended up ditching my best friend in the
- 0:09Speaker 2: mean for a first class upgrade on our girls trip.
- 0:14Speaker 2: We paid extra to set together, but iGATE it just
- 0:17Speaker 2: like they randomly upgraded me and I was not turning
- 0:22Speaker 2: that down. I mean it was a five hour flight,
- 0:24Speaker 2: so I took it, and she ignored my text the
- 0:29Speaker 2: entire time, and honestly it just ruined the entire trip
- 0:33Speaker 2: because she was pissed at me the entire time. Now,
- 0:38Speaker 2: she said, showed her what kind of friend.
- 0:41Speaker 3: I really am, And like, I don't know.
- 0:45Speaker 2: Like how was I supposed to say no to first class?
- 0:47Speaker 4: You know, well, I think that's that's a lame friend.
- 0:50Speaker 4: And I don't think you ditched her. You got upgraded, yeah,
- 0:54Speaker 4: but like you.
- 0:55Speaker 3: Left it there.
- 0:56Speaker 5: They specifically paid more to be together because you know,
- 0:59Speaker 5: your friends in nervous, Like I would think the good
- 1:01Speaker 5: friend would be like, you're a nervous flyer, you should
- 1:03Speaker 5: take the upgrade or yeah.
- 1:04Speaker 6: Or just don't take the upgrade at all, see if
- 1:06Speaker 6: you can hold back the points.
- 1:07Speaker 3: But I'm kind of it's such.
- 1:09Speaker 6: A weird spot because it's like I would probably want
- 1:11Speaker 6: to take the first class to. I think anyone would
- 1:14Speaker 6: want to take the first class too. But if it's
- 1:15Speaker 6: your best friend and you know she's gonna be nervous
- 1:17Speaker 6: back there shaking in her boots for five hours, like
- 1:20Speaker 6: that's kind of mist Isn't that.
- 1:21Speaker 3: Also a good way to get her used to flying
- 1:23Speaker 3: by herself.
- 1:24Speaker 6: Leave our stranded, like you're talking exposure therapy.
- 1:27Speaker 3: No, No, I don't think so.
- 1:29Speaker 7: After this trip, you're gonna be fine while I'm having
- 1:31Speaker 7: caviat and delicious champagne up up front.
- 1:34Speaker 1: I don't know if I.
- 1:35Speaker 5: Would end a friendship over it, but I would definitely
- 1:38Speaker 5: be upset.
- 1:38Speaker 3: You would. Yeah.
- 1:39Speaker 4: I think the other way around too, that she should
- 1:41Speaker 4: be like the other friend would be like, oh my god,
- 1:42Speaker 4: it's amazing, go ahead, that's great, good for you, nervous.
- 1:45Speaker 6: Like I don't get anxiety, want to play, But I'm
- 1:48Speaker 6: pretty sure that kind of anxiety for people who fly
- 1:51Speaker 6: like can be crippling.
- 1:52Speaker 7: Yeah, man, I don't know I would she take it
- 1:57Speaker 7: if she got upgraded, Juliet, your friend, would she have
- 1:59Speaker 7: gone to first class?
- 2:00Speaker 8: I mean I.
- 2:03Speaker 2: Feel like she would have said yes too, because I
- 2:07Speaker 2: mean it's free upgrade. Yeah, I mean, this is not
- 2:11Speaker 2: a free upgrade, Like, come on, and it's a five
- 2:13Speaker 2: hour flight, Like that's a very long time.
- 2:16Speaker 4: I think it all depends on how tall you are,
- 2:17Speaker 4: because when it comes down the leg room and stuff,
- 2:19Speaker 4: I'm like, sorry, man, I need to be comfortable.
- 2:20Speaker 1: I need I'll take it.
- 2:21Speaker 4: I'll you know something, what's interesting the other day we
- 2:25Speaker 4: were my family and I we were flying somewhere and
- 2:29Speaker 4: on the screen they put your name up there if
- 2:31Speaker 4: you can be upgraded to first class, and I forget
- 2:34Speaker 4: what they call that, so it said it said j
- 2:37Speaker 4: Van up there, right. So I went up there and
- 2:39Speaker 4: I was like, hey, jay Van, I go, is that me?
- 2:42Speaker 4: And they go, that is you, and you're you're on
- 2:44Speaker 4: the list to get upgraded. I go, that's awesome. And
- 2:47Speaker 4: then there was k Van. So Kemp, my son is like,
- 2:51Speaker 4: hey dad, we're both being so he goes up that
- 2:53Speaker 4: they call k Van.
- 2:54Speaker 1: They didn't call Javan, they called k Van. K Van
- 2:57Speaker 1: goes up there.
- 2:58Speaker 4: It turns out Kevin vander Way a whole other k Vane.
- 3:07Speaker 4: And I'll tell you, Kevin van der Way had a
- 3:09Speaker 4: great time. He walked by Champ and like, see, so
- 3:15Speaker 4: Kavan and jay Van we were in the back but anyway,
- 3:19Speaker 4: I wouldn't have got mad.
- 3:20Speaker 3: I don't think I would either, But Kyle says she
- 3:22Speaker 3: would be hurt.
- 3:23Speaker 5: Yeah, because Okay, think about it like this, if she
- 3:26Speaker 5: did give it up, you would have probably said that's
- 3:28Speaker 5: a good friend, that you would give that up to
- 3:30Speaker 5: stay with your friend who was really nervous and be
- 3:32Speaker 5: there to support.
- 3:33Speaker 3: Yes.
- 3:33Speaker 1: Yes, and you should be true right both. I agree.
- 3:37Speaker 4: So it's like whatever decision was made, it's like you
- 3:40Speaker 4: should be a supportive friend either way. If you get upgraded,
- 3:44Speaker 4: you support the friend that got upgraded. If you didn't
- 3:46Speaker 4: get upgraded, or if she gave it to you, you
- 3:48Speaker 4: should be proud of the friend that gave it to you.
- 3:50Speaker 4: It just that's the way the cards went. I'm on
- 3:52Speaker 4: your side, Julie.
- 3:54Speaker 1: I think you should probably apologize. I don't think she
- 3:56Speaker 1: should Apologie.
- 3:59Speaker 3: Let's let's go.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Let's go all five call says it all. What do
- 4:03Speaker 1: you do?
- 4:03Speaker 4: Are you a bad friend or you're a good friend?
- 4:05Speaker 4: Eight seven seven ninety three seven one four seven?
- 4:07Speaker 1: What would you do? Thanks? Juliette, thank you? Mother was well? Hi,
- 4:18Speaker 1: it's beautiful days it oh man?
- 4:22Speaker 4: This first class debates blowing up right now? Is Juliet
- 4:26Speaker 4: a bad friend for taking the first class upgrade? Gemma
- 4:31Speaker 4: high what do you think, hi, guys.
- 4:34Speaker 9: I think Julia should not feel guilty.
- 4:37Speaker 8: And it's not like she, you know, chose to leave
- 4:40Speaker 8: her friend in the first class first she didn't first
- 4:43Speaker 8: class first class chose her.
- 4:46Speaker 1: That's right, Gemma.
- 4:48Speaker 3: Jemma's right about everything.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Okay, so she should she shouldn't feel guilty. I like
- 4:54Speaker 1: that point of view. She shouldn't feel guilt. Great, Yeah,
- 4:57Speaker 1: all right, thank you, Jemma, thanks for listening.
- 5:00Speaker 4: Yeah, good by guys.
- 5:07Speaker 6: Oh that's me.
- 5:08Speaker 9: Sorry.
- 5:09Speaker 4: What's your thought on this first class upgrade? She a
- 5:11Speaker 4: good friend or bad friends taking it?
- 5:15Speaker 8: I don't think she's a bad friend. I feel like
- 5:18Speaker 8: I've almost done worse. I almost left my husband on
- 5:21Speaker 8: our honeymoon, so you know, I don't think it's a
- 5:25Speaker 8: bad thing. Well, not necessarily lost and fully, but one
- 5:31Speaker 8: of our flights we weren't going to make on the
- 5:34Speaker 8: way home from Greece, and they only had one seat
- 5:38Speaker 8: available and.
- 5:39Speaker 9: I was about to take it, and she kind of
- 5:41Speaker 9: got upset.
- 5:42Speaker 8: I mean I still would have taken it, but thankfully
- 5:45Speaker 8: they allowed both of them on that side.
- 5:47Speaker 4: On your honeymoon you probably should work it out. Yeah,
- 5:51Speaker 4: were both leave together.
- 5:52Speaker 8: Yeah, well thankfully, I mean someone was on my side
- 5:57Speaker 8: because they let us both on the flight and they
- 5:59Speaker 8: pull knew I would have done it.
- 6:01Speaker 3: Are you still married? Yes, I am, that's probably why.
- 6:05Speaker 1: Thanks Ala. Yeah, yeah, hello Robin, thanks for holding hi.
- 6:13Speaker 9: Yeah. I think I would have at least maybe talk
- 6:17Speaker 9: to her about it and say, hey, would you really
- 6:19Speaker 9: mind if I did this? I mean, this is pretty
- 6:22Speaker 9: this is a pretty big deal, and then get her reaction.
- 6:25Speaker 9: And then if she was like, well no, I don't
- 6:26Speaker 9: want you to go, then I would have probably stayed.
- 6:29Speaker 3: Okay, I don't know, so she's a bad friend.
- 6:34Speaker 9: No, I wouldn't. I would have stayed with the girl. Yeah, okay,
- 6:38Speaker 9: only because she was scared to fly. I mean, you
- 6:40Speaker 9: know what, when you're really scared to fly, I mean
- 6:42Speaker 9: that's a big thing. And I mean it could have
- 6:45Speaker 9: made her sick or whatever. But then again, and you.
- 6:47Speaker 3: Really want to sit next to her she's sick, right.
- 6:54Speaker 9: I'm sorry?
- 6:56Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't.
- 6:57Speaker 9: I think I would have. I would have, you know,
- 6:58Speaker 9: I would have loved to take it, but I think
- 7:00Speaker 9: I would have stayed with her.
- 7:02Speaker 1: Thank you, Robin. What's up? Raymond, you're on the are
- 7:04Speaker 1: your thoughts, hey, guys?
- 7:08Speaker 10: Yeah, I completely agree with Kyle and Peyton. I think
- 7:11Speaker 10: that Unfortunately, I feel like she's not a bad friend,
- 7:15Speaker 10: but definitely kind of a little bit selfish when it
- 7:19Speaker 10: comes to the seating because for me myself, I am
- 7:23Speaker 10: one who deals a lot with anxiety when it comes
- 7:25Speaker 10: to flying, and I do need people like that to
- 7:30Speaker 10: support me, so I do pay extra, just like the
- 7:32Speaker 10: friend did to stay with family or friends. I mean,
- 7:38Speaker 10: it's awesome to go first class, especially if you're not
- 7:40Speaker 10: paying for it. It's definitely a blessing. But yeah, the
- 7:44Speaker 10: friend really needed her and she wasn't there for her
- 7:47Speaker 10: in the moment. Unfortunately, though I have to say I'm
- 7:51Speaker 10: a little biased because I mean, even if Kyle said
- 7:54Speaker 10: it's okay to kick puppies, I'm gonna agree with her.
- 7:57Speaker 3: I would never say that, but I like how you
- 7:59Speaker 3: fraid it.
- 8:00Speaker 5: It's like her friend needed her there and she wasn't
- 8:02Speaker 5: there for her, And I think that's like the bottom line.
- 8:04Speaker 4: H R. Raymond, thanks for calling in. Actually, you know
- 8:06Speaker 4: that when I think about it, because I don't. I
- 8:07Speaker 4: don't know where you stand on this yet, Rich, Where
- 8:09Speaker 4: do you stand on that. I think it's totally fine
- 8:11Speaker 4: that she upgraded
