- 0:23guest: you know, giving myself a structure that, so that it's not just the audition or the the acting, you know.
- 0:35Lisa Hopkins: It's interesting the word sorry, I harp on the words with my clients.
- 0:39Lisa Hopkins: I'm like structure.
- 0:40Lisa Hopkins: That's an interesting word choice, especially for someone who's lived such a structured life, structured by everything else.
- 0:47Lisa Hopkins: So if you were to to maybe I don't know reframe that word as something that really worked for you, about what you really what would that be.
- 0:59guest: I mean right, yes, I think honestly like giving myself projects, things that I'm passionate about, things that I can look forward to working on every day, so that I'm not at the beck and call of some force that might grant me a job.
- 1:20guest: But you know it's like so I think it's more about yeah, if, if structure is not the word, then it would be like I don't know Self actualization in my then.
- 1:31guest: It would be like I don't know self-actualization in my days, like you know, something that I set out to do that I don't need anyone to sign off on, you know.
- 1:45Lisa Hopkins: Yeah.
- 1:50guest: It's interesting, because what?
- 1:53Lisa Hopkins: I'm hearing underneath what you're saying is is balance that won't be disrupted.
- 1:56Lisa Hopkins: So so I understand what you mean, Like it would make sense, knowing you and knowing just even what you've just told me, that you're used to structure.
- 2:02Lisa Hopkins: You're used to the structure of an eight week show or of an agent, or you know your whole life has been structured.
- 2:07guest: Yeah.
- 2:09Lisa Hopkins: And I and I understand that you don't want to be at the back and call.
- 2:11Lisa Hopkins: However, you also acknowledge that that is the life of an actor.
- 2:16Lisa Hopkins: Yeah, yeah, so, but but when you say structure and your brain knows all that data you are, you're a natural.
- 2:27Lisa Hopkins: Like the words you use were like work that I want to be passionate about.
- 2:31Lisa Hopkins: You could have been talking about what you do.
- 2:33guest: Right, right.
- 2:34Lisa Hopkins: Yeah, you said projects.
- 2:36Lisa Hopkins: You said work.
- 2:37Lisa Hopkins: Yeah, passion, that's exactly what you do.
- 2:39Lisa Hopkins: Yeah, you work on projects you're passionate about, and right, and, and what I'm hearing you say is because you know you've grown vertically, let's say, right, you've grown.
- 2:50Lisa Hopkins: You've definitely risen, as they say in your field, and will continue to.
- 2:55Lisa Hopkins: There's no doubt.
- 2:56Lisa Hopkins: If you want to keep doing that, you will, and that's just about a series of choices and opportunities and a lot of things you can't control.
- 3:04Lisa Hopkins: I know that if you want to do it, you will control your vessel and you will take care of your body.
- 3:08Lisa Hopkins: I know you will.
- 3:09Lisa Hopkins: So I don't.
- 3:10Lisa Hopkins: I don't worry about that, but what I'm hearing and you tell me if you think this is true, cause I could be totally wrong but what I'm hearing is that you're you're yearning for something that you create that won't go away.
- 3:25Lisa Hopkins: When right that?
- 3:29Lisa Hopkins: Honor it's like something you honor and value.
- 3:32Lisa Hopkins: That doesn't go away when you get drawn that way.
- 3:35guest: Yeah, totally that's it, that's it.
