- 0:00Hey, everybody, this is Justin Greenberg and this is film Real. This
- 0:04is part two of our discussion on Disney joining me as my good friend Gina,
- 0:09and where we ended last week's episode was right after a tournament to crown
- 0:13the best Disney movie out of eight films that I just decided to choose.
- 0:18But we're going to get into more of a discussion of Disney films and Disney
- 0:21controversies, and it's a deeper episode, so I hope you guys enjoy it.
- 0:25Let's get right into it, which brings us to our next discussion.
- 0:29These remakes, These Disney remakes. I think it is the laziest thing in
- 0:34Hollywood to remake a movie and do nothing with it. If you're going to
- 0:41rem because there are some great remakes out there, but you have to change
- 0:45it. You take the original story and put a twist on it, take
- 0:49some ideas with it. But what Disney does. It takes that original movie
- 0:54and it just repeats everything, the same songs, sometimes the same casting.
- 1:00James Old Jones came back as Mufasa. It's the same fucking story. So
- 1:04what's the point in watching it just because it's live action, which it's not
- 1:08live action. Yes, that's what I'm gonna have to disagree with you.
- 1:11Dat's think about it, right, let's let's I'm gonna use your argument against
- 1:15you. You want something within the plot or something maybe like a revamped like
- 1:19if you're gonna remake a movie, don't make it like a copy and paste
- 1:23from their original exactly. Let's say let's use a grease for example. Right,
- 1:26you have the original grease, and then you have grease to grease to
- 1:30his booty cheeks. Grease two is as we will never speak of Greece too.
- 1:33Of course, why because they started changing shit. That's the issue.
- 1:37When you start changing shit, you now you don't have a direction. But
- 1:41that's a sequel. There's difference between a sequel and a remake. True.
- 1:45Okay, So if somebody who's like, if somebody said here to you,
- 1:49you want to watch the Lion King, what are you thinking? You're thinking
- 1:53the animated Yeah, and you just lose some of that emotion because they're trying
- 1:57to look like realistic characters in the Lion King remake, so like they look
- 2:00like real lines, but you can't really get emotions out of those characters.
- 2:05Cartoon characters work, you know, when Simba's crying, you know, you
- 2:07can make the eyes bigger, you can make tears come out. It just
- 2:12looked like a cat cat yeah, but it didn't like it didn't have the
- 2:17emotion. There's very there's stuff you can't do with live action. There's stuff
- 2:24you can't even do with CGI that you can do in a hand drawn animation.
- 2:30And some of these Disney remakes, I think majority of them rather are
- 2:34just lazy bullshit. There's no need for it, and it's all about the
- 2:38money. The only reason they make these is because they're creatively. There's there's
- 2:43a void, there's a vacuum in Disney where there's no creativity, and they
- 2:46know it's an easy buck. People are gonna say, oh, I remember
- 2:50Lion King. I'm gonna go watch Lion King again. But this one's more
- 2:53different or so. I think it's people that are idiots that are making these
- 2:58movies exist. And I think if people just boycott these films, we will
- 3:01be far better off in Hollywood. Some of them. I do like some
- 3:05of them. It's kind of like, okay, we get like castings change,
- 3:10so that's interesting to some form in a way, but to also I
- 3:15think that there's a beauty in it in a way of bringing those animations to
- 3:21life. Like let's say, for example, we do like a lion King,
- 3:23right, but if you have Lion King on Broadway, you know,
- 3:27in a way, it's still bringing it to life. It adds kind of
- 3:30like a different element to it. So I see in a way the direction
- 3:34they were trying to take. I mean, obviously it does nothing beats the
- 3:37original, but I do I do agree with you in the sense that is
- 3:39just a money grab. It's just to make a quick buck. I have
- 3:42no issue with the I've never seen the Broadway show. I've never been to
- 3:45a Broadway show, but I would have no issue with that. I think
- 3:46that's like it tries weird things, like you know, it's it's actors on
- 3:52stilts and it's something different. But there have been some ones that I think
- 3:57have taken some risks, or maybe you take a character and you put it
- 3:59differ and spin on it, like Maleficent, you know, they tried something
- 4:02different with that, or even Cruella. I thought Cruella was actually very good.
- 4:09You know. With Emma Stone, I thought, okay, you take
- 4:11an existing character and you do something different with it. It's not just a
- 4:14shot for shot remake of the original one hundred and one Dalmatians. Now,
- 4:17there has been some controversy with some of the casting. I think people were
- 4:21up at arms. There was a black woman that was cast as Ariel,
- 4:26and people were upset about that. Where do you stand on that? Because
- 4:29you are a black woman. Where do you stand on not even with just
- 4:33Disney in general, but taking an existing character and just recasting them as a
- 4:42black person, or you know, changing the race of somebody just for the
- 4:46sake of changing the race, Because I'd be interested in your opinion since you
- 4:49actually are a black woman. So where do you stand on this? I'm
- 4:51gonna start off with with Little Mermaid and then branch off to the general stance.
- 4:59Yeah, Halle Bailey, I think did a phenomenal job. I feel
- 5:00like for the role, it had less to do with the way she looked.
- 5:05It was more so the talent. Like I felt like her voice,
- 5:09she was able to really captivate just the music. I think she was beautiful.
- 5:13Her voice was made to do musicals in Broadway and Broadway and things of
- 5:17that nature. And I want to flip that because a lot of the people
- 5:21who had an issue with it didn't look like people like me. I feel
- 5:26like representation matters, and I don't think a lot of people understand that.
- 5:29You know, growing up, I didn't have a black princess until I would
- 5:33say twenty twelve, and that was the Princess in the Frog. So when
- 5:36you can't see yourself as a child, that has an effect negatively on your
- 5:43self esteem, on how you view yourself, when you don't see yourself and
- 5:46the position you potentially want to be, you know what I'm saying. So,
- 5:50and I can simply say, let's say, for example, they made
- 5:53a real black Okay, they made Tarzan white if you got to think of
- 5:57it. The animation Tarzan was very tan, but when they did the live
- 6:00action, they literally made him a white man with blonde hair and blue eyes
- 6:04like the furthest thing for what Tarzan actually look like in an animated series,
- 6:09and nobody complained about that. So I feel like there's definitely a double standard.
- 6:13I mean, look at the society that we live in. I'm not
- 6:15surprised that it was controversial, But point me to someone who had the vocal
- 6:20range and capability of doing what Holly Bailey did for that movie. That's just
- 6:25the one of many examples. I have no issues with it. The movie
- 6:28is a movie. If the person fits the role and they can achieve what
- 6:35the role is supposed to do, then I have no problem either or so
- 6:39I want to just counter argue that that and again I'm a white male for
- 6:44people that don't know, So, would you say, though, would you
- 6:48rather have an original character? Would that be more impactful? Like why couldn't
- 6:55Disney in theory, just create another black princess? So why take the existing
- 7:02character? Do you find that to be like pandering, Like they're taking something
- 7:06and they're like just put it saying like, Okay, we're gonna create the
- 7:10same thing, but just make their black, make that character black, or
- 7:14do you not feel like it matters? Would you rather? I don't know.
- 7:17The question I guess I'm asking is, would you rather have an original
- 7:20character like the girl from The Princess and the Frog. I think that would
- 7:24be I feel like a lot of people that are black would rather vet than
- 7:29actually just take an existing character and changing the skin color. It's it depends
- 7:34like for me personally, it was more so the representation part of it.
- 7:36It didn't I don't think it necessarily matters if it was an original character as
- 7:42opposed to like, you know, revamping a movie. It was a simple
- 7:45fact of like representation. Like I remember seeing the videos of the how they
- 7:50were doing the marketing for the movie The Little Mermaid, and how a lot
- 7:54of little black girls like they finally felt seen. So it did something to
- 7:58them emotionally. We're like, oh my goodness, he's a black princess.
- 8:01Because they didn't have the They were young, so they're young to me,
- 8:03so they didn't have the luxury of being I would say, what Tim and
- 8:07the princess in the Frog coming out, you know, that's something you're seeing
- 8:11after the fact, So for them to be in real time that does something
- 8:13to a little black girl. The only the only thing that I will say,
- 8:16and why I'm a little like weary of Disney doing it is because Disney
- 8:22has such a weird checker past. The way I looked at Disney doing this,
- 8:26this is just my opinion, especially with Disney, is I imagined a
- 8:31huge board meeting like a group of like all these executives and being like,
- 8:35hmm, we gotta we gotta make this decision. We need to cast a
- 8:39black like it wasn't an organic casting. You don't think it had it.
- 8:43Yeah, exactly, Thatsney. I think there are movies out there that do
- 8:46change the race of characters. For instance, Tim Burton in the Original Batman,
- 8:52he made the character Harvey Dent, who went on to become Two Face.
- 8:54He cast Billy d Williams, who's a black man. And I don't
- 8:58think he did that because there was a bunch of executives like, we're gonna
- 9:01have a black representation. He was just like, I like this actor.
- 9:05He's badass. As Lando in the Star Wars movies, I envisioned him as
- 9:09Harvey Dent. Where I think with Disney, I think there's a little more
- 9:13mischievous reasons as to why something like that happens. I think they're trying to
- 9:18check all their marks, like, Okay, we need to get a black
- 9:22audience in and this is the reason why we're doing this, and it's not
- 9:26done on just this girl's a great actress. So that's the only thing I
- 9:31don't like with Disney. But again, she was not the issue with that
- 9:33movie. I think the issue with the movie was the movie itself. But
- 9:37I thought she did a really good job in it. Exactly, So I
- 9:39see both sides to it. I think that at the end of it,
- 9:43you know, Disney, you know, they're very hypocritical, They're very wishy
- 9:46washy when it comes to race relations. You're just culture and things of that
- 9:50nature. So there's a part of me that agrees with you and that aspect,
- 9:56like, yeah, of course they did it for a marketing. This
- 9:58is the same company. This is company they released the Star Wars movies.
- 10:03That's a Disney movie. So in China there's a lot of racism towards black
- 10:07people. And they released the Star Wars movie, the Newest One, Episode
- 10:11seven. When that came out, there was a character of Finn who's played
- 10:15by a black man and in the posters, in the poster though, he's
- 10:18like the second biggest guy in the poster. When they released the poster in
- 10:24China, they literally edited him to the size of like an ant in the
- 10:26background. They edit movies specifically to play k two different cultures, and they've
- 10:33removed scenes from Iron Man three from different you know region, So they play
- 10:39this race thing, I think very sketchily, and they've been doing it for
- 10:43decades, which brings me to another question. There's been a lot of racist
- 10:46cartoons in the past, especially in the thirties and forties, not just Disney,
- 10:52but Looney Tunes and MGM. You know the Tom and Jerry cartoons.
- 10:56Especially during the war period. There's a lot of ant Japanese cartoons that were
- 11:01out there. Now, Disney has been very, very weird with a lot
- 11:07of their stuff. They release some of it, but there's other stuff that
- 11:11they don't release. So for me personally think I think stuff shouldn't be hidden.
- 11:18I think we can learn from our mistakes. I think it's I think
- 11:22it's personally an issue if you start deleting history, because I think we should
- 11:26still learn about Hitler. Hitler is a bad guy, but I don't think
- 11:30I think students should still be taught about him. I think people should be
- 11:33taught that, Okay, this is how the world was in the thirties and
- 11:39it was bad. So I think these cartoons in these movies should be released,
- 11:43but maybe have a warning in the beginning, say like, Okay,
- 11:46this is the world that was then and it's not that world now. But
- 11:50I don't like the idea of a racing art and a racing history, even
- 11:54as offensive as it is. I just think it's a part of our history.
- 11:58So where do you stand on Disney releasing because Warner Brothers does release a
- 12:01lot of their you know, racist cartoons and they have they've had Whoopy Goldberg
- 12:07introduced them and say pretty much what I said, you know, this was
- 12:09part of our history unfortunately, but we can't erase it. But here's looking
- 12:15at it in a modern lens. So do you think that stuff should be
- 12:18deleted or this is already stuff that's already been out, that's already been published,
- 12:22things of that. Yeah, that's that's it's subjective. Me personally,
- 12:28I do understand the time period that that a lot of these things came out
- 12:33of me personally, I wouldn't watch it knowing that. I do think that
- 12:37there should be some type of warning for sure. I think there should be
- 12:43a moment to kind of just bring awareness to that, make make efforts to
- 12:50kind of I wouldn't say wash away, but make up for their wrongdoings in
- 12:54the past for future endeavors. Uh. But if people like it, I
- 13:01mean, it's it's it's very subjective. It's up to you. That's something
- 13:03that you're okay with you ing, then that's your decision. I mean,
- 13:09they're still they're a company. You got you gotta realize these companies, they're
- 13:13they're a business before they're anything else. So the one thing they're gonna make
- 13:18sure that they accomplish is meeting their quota. And they don't want to piss
- 13:22off advertisers. That's another thing with these companies. So if they release,
- 13:26like there's a famous movie called The Song of the South, and you might
- 13:28have heard of the song Zippity dooda zipity Day. That's from that movie,
- 13:33and Disney has famously that's the one like the iconic movie that they've put in
- 13:37a vault. They like, they haven't released that officially since the eighties.
- 13:41They used to err on television. I think there was maybe a VHS release
- 13:46back in the day, but it hasn't been in any Disney you know plus
- 13:50or any of these DVDs or Blu rays. You could get it at like
- 13:52comic cons you know, black market sort of things where they sell illegal copies
- 13:56of stuff, but you can't get that movie anywhere. But I think if
- 14:01it was may like you said, it should be put in the ball And
- 14:03I don't think any of that stuff needs to resurface. What about all the
- 14:07people that worked on the movie that weren't, like, for instance, maybe
- 14:11there was an animator for that movie because there was a hybrid live action slash
- 14:16animated movie. Or even the guy who sings Zippity DooDah. I don't know
- 14:18the actor's name, but he's an African American guy. His history is sort
- 14:22of being deleted, and so are those animators. But again it's also it
- 14:26is racist. It is a racist cartoon. So I don't know. My
- 14:31biggest thing is not putting it out for like the younger audience to see.
- 14:35They don't. It's already something that you that is still prominent in our society
- 14:37now that you don't need to view that. You know, there's a different
- 14:41time, and because it's a different time, I think there should be more
- 14:46consciousness and maybe don't put it on a Disney plus, but I think maybe
- 14:50putting it out there with maybe like you need to be of a certain age.
- 14:54And because like I said, I still think there should be Hitler documentaries.
- 14:58I think, you know, Hitler wrote a book mind Cat. I
- 15:00think there should be access to that. The people punintended the access that's a
- 15:03funny joke. I think there I think there should be an ability for people
- 15:07to look at the stuff and judge it. Again, I think it's terrible
- 15:11stuff, but I think they should I think the ability of a racing history,
- 15:16I think could be dangerous, but I definitely I fully understand why somebody
- 15:20would not want it to be seen, especially by kids. I don't think
- 15:24a young kid should be subjected to racist cartoons, but I still think it
- 15:28is important to be educated, and so we don't repeat it. It's so
- 15:33like, Okay, this is bad. Where can we go from there?
- 15:37But uh, we're gonna change tunes. We're gonna we're gonna actually talk about
- 15:39some of our favorite Disney movies in general, because we've had our little tournament.
- 15:45Is there a movie that wasn't on that list in that bracket that kind
- 15:48of stands out as like, all right, this is this was a classic
- 15:52in genus household? Or was there one that you kind of hated because there
- 15:56were some overrated Disney movies that I never really got. I know you're gonna
- 16:00hate me on this one because you texted me these two Ratituey and cars never
- 16:06cared for that? Are you kidding me? Not kidding? What in the
- 16:10how do you know justice is just no. You gotta be joking right now.
- 16:15How do you not like Cars? And and rite a Chowey? I
- 16:18think Ride a Twoy is a better movie than Cars. I do. Yes,
- 16:21Cars can be a little bit boring, I'll give you that. I
- 16:23never I watched them, and I never felt the need to go back and
- 16:27watch them. And maybe it's because the time when they came out, I
- 16:30was probably like sixteen seventeen years old. You didn't care about his nee at
- 16:33that town, but I was still watching cartoons. I was getting high and
- 16:37watching you know, Fantasia and all these other classic cartoons. So it's not
- 16:41like I was. I never grew up. I still always collect that action
- 16:42figures. I still watch cartoons, but I know maybe it's not as nostalgic
- 16:48for me as something like a toy story. So I never but up.
- 16:51And while He came out around that time, and I love those movies.
- 16:55I think they're brilliant. I think they have more of a message where Cars
- 16:57doesn't really have that. It's more of like a kid's movie. I don't
- 17:02know if there's again, I haven't watched it in a long time, probably
- 17:04since it came out, But was there ever like a deeper message in cars,
- 17:07It wasn't. It was more just like a kid, you know,
- 17:11cars, cars like literally every five year old kids like cars, cars go
- 17:14fast. Uh So those ones I've always felt were a little overrated. As
- 17:18far as my favorites go, one that we didn't have on this list is
- 17:22Hercules the animation. I enjoyed the soundtrack, but it was one of those
- 17:26I don't find myself going back. Really. That's when we always went back
- 17:30to amazing soundtrack, like a gospel soundtrack. It was good. The soundtrack
- 17:34is probably the biggest thing I remember. Yeah, but I saw that one
- 17:37in Theatre's really fun action, great characters, Danny DeVito's cast in it.
- 17:42One that I think is getting remade into a live action again. Why but
- 17:48they're just doing it. And then the two that were on this list that
- 17:52I think would round out my top three would be Goofy movie, which we
- 17:56mentioned, and I think if we're gonna we're gonna add one other one for
- 18:00a classic one, Pinocchio. As far as classic Disney movies go, beautifully
- 18:03animated, awesome soundtrack, great message. Jimminy Cricket I think is up there
- 18:08with the Genie as the greatest of all animated characters. But my favorite Disney
- 18:14slash Pixar movie is the Original Toy Story. It's just it had it had
- 18:18such an impact Gene. I wish, I wish I could go back and
- 18:21watch that for the first time as a kid, because there was nothing like
- 18:25it. There was never CGI. There was no CGI movie before that.
- 18:30There was CGI in movies, you know, Jurassic Park and Terminator two had
- 18:33scenes with CGI in it, but this was the first fully CGI movie,
- 18:38and it blew people away. I think, what, he's an overrated character,
- 18:42please, I really he was just annoying him like, I didn't relate
- 18:48to it, So I guess that's why I didn't. I didn't really like
- 18:52I love his jealousy. He's he's the guy that's being replaced he he had.
- 18:56He's supposed to be annoying. I think when you're a kid, you
- 19:00know you're root for Buzz. But I think when you get older and you
- 19:04become a little more cynical and jealous, and maybe somebody cool comes into your
- 19:11world and you hate them, Like everything they do is so cool and everyone
- 19:15likes them. Why don't they like me? I think we've all been there
- 19:18at some point in our life, and that is Woody. He is like
- 19:19the jealous prick who wants Buzz dead, like he's trying to kill him.
- 19:26Yeah, and I love the character of Sid, you know, I can
- 19:29relate to him. I was always fucking around with my toys and pulling them
- 19:33apart, and yeah, exactly. And he's not really a bad kid.
- 19:37They vake him. He's just a kid. He doesn't know the toys have
- 19:40souls. I mean, he's kind of a dick to his sister, but
- 19:42it's not like he's killing living things. He has no idea that these toys
- 19:47are sentient beings. And they're bringing there having a fifth Toy Story come out,
- 19:52which is so stupid because again there's no idea, and Disney is also
- 19:56just like has had a lot of failures in recent so they're trying to just
- 20:00get something that is a hit. So they're making a Frozen three, they're
- 20:03making a Toy Story one, They're making a Moana two. They're just they're
- 20:08making sequel after sequel now because people go to see it. But I want
- 20:11to see in Toy Story five. I want a toy to have a full
- 20:15on conversation with a human because I think they're bringing back Andy is what the
- 20:19rumor is. Why not try something different? Why not would he just be
- 20:23like, Yo, I'm fucking I'm alive. Yo liked because like he's talked
- 20:29to Sid. I think he was like, we're alive, we see everything.
- 20:33That's the only time a toy has smoken to a human. So why
- 20:37not try something different? Because again, there's no need to make it,
- 20:41but if you are going to make it, at least try something different.
- 20:42So, yeah, Toy Story is probably my favorite out of all of these
- 20:45movies. Then Hercules a Laddin, I Love, Lion King, and a
- 20:51Goofy movie in Pinocchio. Those are like my top five or six movies.
- 20:55Is there is there one that stands out as your favorite? Isn't Lion King?
- 20:57Ah? Yes, Lion King has to be a number one. I
- 21:00would say the amazing Goofy movie or the second sequel the sequel is my is
- 21:04my next one? Really? Yeah? That's probably the only one from like
- 21:07the decades of the nineties that I would say, Well, no, lion
- 21:11Ky not lin Ky was nineties ninety four. Wow, Okay, so those
- 21:17two I think those are my only go to when it comes like back to
- 21:19back. I like holes. Oh because you like holes? Ye? Which
- 21:26hole all? So that's another I want to talk about the you know,
- 21:33there's live action Disney movies, you know, whether it's Mighty Ducks or not,
- 21:37just these you know, live action remakes, and Disney has made a
- 21:38lot of movies. And then there was the Disney Channel, which I never
- 21:41had as a kid. I love Disney Channel, and then when I got
- 21:45it, I was kind of turned off by it. It was it was
- 21:48too clean, it was too cookie cutter. All the kids were like these
- 21:52good looking kids and they're like all rich and like there was no edge to
- 21:56it, where Nickelodeon specifically in the nineties had diversity. You had you know,
- 22:02Keenan Nickel, you had Pete and Peacha, you had like an overweight
- 22:06kid. You had all that they had, Like, oh not you liking
- 22:08to be inclusive? Yeah, okay, So I like that aspect of Nickelodeon,
- 22:15where Disney felt like very white. If I'm gonna put it so bluntly,
- 22:21and it just felt like fake laughter and fake The only one that felt
- 22:26real was even Stevens. If you ever watch that show with Shila buff from
- 22:30Holds that that is the only show that felt like it could have actually been
- 22:36on Nickelodeon, But I never got into the Disney channel. I guess I
- 22:38guess you did, though, Yes, Hannah Montana's and uh the Wizards of
- 22:44Way, which they're bringing back again, because I'm not watching everything brought back.
- 22:48There's nothing original, nothing original. Oh Brother, Bear Brother Bear Brother
- 22:53the last you know, hand drawn films, which is something that I wish
- 22:57Disney would go back to. I know you like your CGI, but there's
- 23:02just something to me, there's something different. All CGI movies tend to look
- 23:07the same, like they all they can never get a human character to look
- 23:11right. So Frozen kind of looks like you know, Mowana, which kind
- 23:15of looks like that. But with animation you could get really differing styles.
- 23:19You know, something like Hey Arnold on Nickelodeon looks vastly different from the Goofy
- 23:23movie, which looks monumentally different from Dragon ball Z. So like with hand
- 23:29drawn animation, I've seen the diversity as far as the way things look.
- 23:33With CGI, you can do it, but they tend to not take the
- 23:36risks. Now, that Spider Man movie that came out a few years ago,
- 23:38that that animated. Yeah, that was cool. It is CGI,
- 23:42but it looks hand drawn and they took a different twist with it and it
- 23:47doesn't look like the other stuff. And the new Ninja Turtles movie that came
- 23:49out last year has a unique look to it. So I hope we get
- 23:52more CGI movies that look different. But I want Disney to eventually go back
- 23:59to hand drawn animation, just once or twice, you know, every decade,
- 24:02because that's where they, you know, made their mark. That's their
- 24:04bread and butter for ninety years or so, and they've just deviated from that,
- 24:10you know, from the last twenty years. So, uh Disney any
- 24:12less Disney thoughts. Gina Rock, sand Rock Shand from Goofy movie. Oh
- 24:18yeah. As far as the hottest uh animated movie characters, not even we
- 24:22don't even need to do Disney. Is there is there anybody that stands out?
- 24:26Lola from Sharks, Oh that's where you're going with. You're gonna go
- 24:30Lola and judgmental. She's got lips. I suppose, yeah, big ones.
- 24:38They were beautiful, lush. I'm like, damn, I'm trying to
- 24:44go fishingler in I'll use my worm. That's a pre ball worm. Yeah,
- 24:55it's a vibrating worm. Is there is there any other animated characters that
- 25:02stand out as this is incredible. We were talking about before the show.
- 25:06She could flexible, she could wrap around you. She got the big fat
- 25:10ass. She's pretty hot rock sand We mentioned not to get into any beast
- 25:15stuff, but Nala was pretty sexy with those eyes. Something something about something
- 25:21about the line. She had that look. She had that look in her
- 25:23eye. She was asking for you because she shows the belly a little bit.
- 25:29Same thing with the Little Mermaid. They show like more skin. I
- 25:30feel like I wasn't a fan of the right area. Yes, but the
- 25:34tail just didn't. Oh you can't get into that. So you could get
- 25:38into a real fish like Angelina Joli, but like a half fish is where
- 25:41you draw your leg and toes down. And I think that's where we'll end
- 25:49this discussion, Gino. This was so much fun. We sort of went
- 25:52all over the place, from doing our bracket to race discussions to sexy fishy.
- 26:00That's greaty, that is a great show. You you go from serious
- 26:03to bullshit, and I figured, you know, might as well have some
- 26:07real discussion. People are afraid that I think it's important to have discussions.
- 26:11I think having that race discussion is important because not having the conversations make things
- 26:17awkward. But we can have a conversation about, you know, releasing films
- 26:21or not releasing films. I think that's a world that we should live in
- 26:23where we can have even different If I don't agree with you on something,
- 26:27we could still have a discussion on it. And I hope eventually we could
- 26:30get back to that in society. But uh, we'll see. I have
- 26:34very little faith in this. In this world that we know, you gotta
- 26:37have hope. Hope. Hope is probably the one thing that gets us by.
- 26:41But I will say that just moving forward, Disney, not only Disney
- 26:48is not the only company, but it's one of the ones that are very
- 26:49prompt, that's very prominent. It just has to do better. I feel
- 26:52like I agree with you in the sense that we we shouldn't erace history,
- 26:56but I think the way we go about it, it's what matters the most,
- 27:00and the closed mind in this. We need to get back to a
- 27:03place where you can you don't have to agree with somebody, but you can
- 27:06respect that and at least at least had that conversation. Listens, Somebody listen
- 27:12and be receptive and be original. That's what I want Disney to do moving
- 27:17forward. Fuck these sequels. The only issue is the original movies that they
- 27:21do release don't make the money, and it's all about the money unfortunately.
- 27:25All right, Gina, thank you so much, Thank you everybody for listening
- 27:27for this additional film reel so long, everybody
