- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Benn and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with our radio. Hey, guys, welcome to a special episode
- 0:09Speaker 1: we're doing about thirty minutes with The Bachelor host Jesse Palmer.
- 0:13Speaker 1: The last time we had Jesse on, he was promoting
- 0:17Speaker 1: the Ultimate Surfer, and oh my gosh, in what feels
- 0:21Speaker 1: like a blink of an eye, he is now the
- 0:22Speaker 1: host of the Bachelor. Please, ladies and gentlemen, welcome Jesse Palmer. Hey, everybody,
- 0:28Speaker 1: I feel like I used car salesman now. It's like
- 0:29Speaker 1: every time I talked to you. It's a couple of
- 0:31Speaker 1: weeks in between. I'm like, I've got another show you
- 0:33Speaker 1: gotta watch. Trust me, this one's gonna be great. You're
- 0:35Speaker 1: gonna love this show. It's gonna be fantatistic. Yeah, here
- 0:39Speaker 1: we are again. It's great talking with you, so good
- 0:42Speaker 1: having you here. Uh did you know that you were
- 0:44Speaker 1: the host of the Bachelor When we were talking to
- 0:47Speaker 1: you about American Surfer? When were we talking about Yes,
- 0:51Speaker 1: it was Ultimate Surver? Sorry American? Um, I guess I know,
- 1:00Speaker 1: I don't. I don't know if I officially knew. I
- 1:02Speaker 1: may have had a inkling. Yeah, how is my poker face?
- 1:05Speaker 1: Was a good ye, did you have any indicator? Okay,
- 1:08Speaker 1: I thought that you were definitely in the running. I
- 1:11Speaker 1: was like, that's just a natural fit. Um, is it
- 1:15Speaker 1: true that you're also going to be hosting The Senior Bachelor.
- 1:20Speaker 1: I don't know this time. This time, I'm being dead,
- 1:23Speaker 1: I'm being totally honest with you. I do not know.
- 1:26Speaker 1: No poker face on this one. I really honestly do
- 1:28Speaker 1: not know. I think Ben thinks he lost out to
- 1:31Speaker 1: you already, but that might be well. No, there's like
- 1:36Speaker 1: there's always spinoff shows happening. I don't even know what.
- 1:38Speaker 1: I'm not even honestly aware of what the spinoff shows are, Like,
- 1:41Speaker 1: what's what's coming up? I know that I know that
- 1:44Speaker 1: in the franchise, I know there's Bachelor, I know there's Bachelorette.
- 1:46Speaker 1: There's there's you know, Bachelor in Paradise. Outside of that,
- 1:50Speaker 1: it's like I've heard like Winter Games might be coming back,
- 1:54Speaker 1: Like there's like all these like yeah, like Bachelor pad
- 1:57Speaker 1: like I remember that, and there's all these other things.
- 2:00Speaker 1: I don't know, but the Senior Bachelor, I promised this time.
- 2:05Speaker 1: I literally do not know. I do not know. I
- 2:08Speaker 1: do not know, but yeah, Winter Games crazy it's been
- 2:12Speaker 1: four years since that, you know, I was part of it,
- 2:15Speaker 1: Ben was part of it. Uh. I don't know where
- 2:17Speaker 1: my life honestly would be right now without it, because
- 2:21Speaker 1: if it weren't for some jealousy factor, I may not
- 2:24Speaker 1: be married. It's it could, Okay, we would have ended
- 2:33Speaker 1: up together. I just don't know how much longer I
- 2:35Speaker 1: would have taken for him to come out about his
- 2:37Speaker 1: feelings anyway. Yeah, that's it's just weird that they wouldn't
- 2:41Speaker 1: have done that, because I feel like Bachelor in Paradise
- 2:43Speaker 1: right now is like everybody's favorite spin off in the show.
- 2:46Speaker 1: Like if all the shows, people love Bachelor Paradise, and
- 2:49Speaker 1: I feel like Winter Games is kind of the most
- 2:51Speaker 1: similar anyway. Sidetrack note, let's talk about the moment that
- 2:55Speaker 1: you found out you were the host of The Bachelor. Yeah,
- 3:00Speaker 1: I was. I was humbled. I was excited obviously, you
- 3:03Speaker 1: know having you know was the bathroom in two thousand four.
- 3:06Speaker 1: I've been a big fan of all the shows kind
- 3:09Speaker 1: of ever since, and I remember a part of bachel Nation,
- 3:12Speaker 1: but um, you know, just just really thrilled. And I
- 3:15Speaker 1: think too, like once I finally met Clayton, um, the
- 3:19Speaker 1: whole thing really kind of kind of made sense. The
- 3:22Speaker 1: first time I met Clayton was actually when he got
- 3:23Speaker 1: out of the limo and that first night, Um yeah,
- 3:27Speaker 1: So I wanted that to be real and authentic and
- 3:30Speaker 1: just organic to the whole process, and like it was
- 3:33Speaker 1: like he's nervous getting out of a limo. I'm freaking
- 3:35Speaker 1: out nervous because I've never hosted the show before. I've
- 3:37Speaker 1: never even been to that that mansion, and we're just
- 3:40Speaker 1: kind of like looking at each other, like what are
- 3:41Speaker 1: we doing? This is crazy? Um. But as I've gotten
- 3:45Speaker 1: to know him, I just genuinely like him so much.
- 3:50Speaker 1: He's such a sweet, genuine guy, and I've learned how
- 3:53Speaker 1: badly he wants to get married and find love and
- 3:56Speaker 1: find his person. I just know like how much pressure
- 3:59Speaker 1: he's put himself on. Now he understands how big of
- 4:01Speaker 1: an opportunity this is. Like I watched someone Michelle season,
- 4:04Speaker 1: I watched you know he he talks about when you
- 4:06Speaker 1: have a family and having kids, and he cries, he
- 4:08Speaker 1: gets emotional. I remember thinking like, wow, that's it's impressive
- 4:10Speaker 1: for a guy to do that, but also it was
- 4:11Speaker 1: a former football player to break down like that. It
- 4:14Speaker 1: supposed to be really important to him. As I've gotten
- 4:16Speaker 1: to get to know him since that first moment outside
- 4:19Speaker 1: the mansion on one night one, I just know how
- 4:21Speaker 1: much he wants this. So for me being the host
- 4:24Speaker 1: and to try to try and help guide him to
- 4:28Speaker 1: find what he's desperately craving, that's like, I do feel
- 4:33Speaker 1: a lot of pressure doing it, but it makes this
- 4:35Speaker 1: so much more um what's the word. It's like when
- 4:39Speaker 1: you just feel it just feels right, and it just
- 4:41Speaker 1: it just feels it's it's it's the best part of
- 4:44Speaker 1: this experience for me, kind of trying to help a
- 4:47Speaker 1: guy like Clayton do this. Was it your decision not
- 4:50Speaker 1: to meet him until night one? Yeah, we we sort
- 4:53Speaker 1: of kind of talked about that. There was talks about
- 4:55Speaker 1: maybe having a dinner or getting together playing golf, and
- 4:58Speaker 1: I know some of that had happened in the past, um,
- 5:00Speaker 1: but I thought it was just going to be more
- 5:02Speaker 1: real and more authentic if we had done it that way,
- 5:05Speaker 1: and knowing that we'd have a lot more time to
- 5:06Speaker 1: catch up after that, even off camera. The funny thing
- 5:10Speaker 1: is I actually kind of already knew who he was
- 5:12Speaker 1: because I had broadcast at his football games before. Um,
- 5:16Speaker 1: when he was a tight end at Missouri, I was
- 5:18Speaker 1: actually at ESPN and I'd be in the booth at
- 5:21Speaker 1: in Colombia, Missouri, like calling his game, and I had
- 5:25Speaker 1: I had his name on a board and I'd watched
- 5:26Speaker 1: him play on film and I knew all of his vitals,
- 5:29Speaker 1: but of course i'd never actually met him until that
- 5:32Speaker 1: that first night. Um, I'm I'm happy we did it
- 5:35Speaker 1: that way because I just feel like it was you know,
- 5:38Speaker 1: like he's a real guy. I you know, and this
- 5:41Speaker 1: experience for him needs to be authentic and organic, and
- 5:44Speaker 1: I think our relationship needs to be the same the
- 5:46Speaker 1: same way he has a little NFL experience. Right. Was
- 5:51Speaker 1: he on a practice water too? He went to camp
- 5:54Speaker 1: with the Seattle Seahawks. Yes, So did you guys have time?
- 5:58Speaker 1: Was that something that you first talked about as a
- 6:01Speaker 1: bonding thing. It was a total growth thing. Yeah, we
- 6:04Speaker 1: broke out right away. I love that you love football too. Great.
- 6:08Speaker 1: Every time for time we do this, we always go
- 6:11Speaker 1: there and I'm never surprised. I'm always like, that's right,
- 6:13Speaker 1: she loves perfect. Um. Yeah, I mean it's definitely something
- 6:17Speaker 1: that helped bring bring us together because we could sort of,
- 6:19Speaker 1: you know, talk about our past experiences in football and
- 6:22Speaker 1: kind of you know, compare them and relate them and
- 6:25Speaker 1: relate to things we learned in football and how we
- 6:28Speaker 1: were kind of using that in our lives now. But
- 6:30Speaker 1: it's funny like in football, you know, like in the
- 6:33Speaker 1: locker room, there's just trash talking. Guys are always kind
- 6:36Speaker 1: of riding each other and and Clayton and I sort
- 6:38Speaker 1: of kind of carried that over. It was very very quick,
- 6:40Speaker 1: like at first we were very cordial, Hey, how are
- 6:43Speaker 1: you good to meet you? This is great, And now
- 6:45Speaker 1: it's like full on locker room like that, you know,
- 6:47Speaker 1: big brother little brother. Were like blast each other, texting,
- 6:51Speaker 1: we're killing each other on social media. Um on. On
- 6:55Speaker 1: January one, we were at the Rose Parade and we
- 6:59Speaker 1: were taking this picture this really cute little girl and
- 7:03Speaker 1: she was standing in the middle of us, and she
- 7:04Speaker 1: looked at Clayton and then she like in the middle
- 7:07Speaker 1: of the photo, she was kind of looking at me,
- 7:08Speaker 1: kind of funny, and then she like she kind of like,
- 7:13Speaker 1: you know, told me to come down, and she was
- 7:14Speaker 1: like are you his dad? And I'm like, I'm like what,
- 7:21Speaker 1: And Clayton has never let me forget that he is.
- 7:25Speaker 1: He was dying. I was so mad, and I'm like,
- 7:28Speaker 1: it's a little girl, and I'm like, I am a
- 7:30Speaker 1: conduit of love. Damn it. I am trying to help
- 7:32Speaker 1: this man find his person. How dare You're like, I
- 7:36Speaker 1: am eleven years older than him? Okay, just a great whiskers. Fine,
- 7:41Speaker 1: I have a great whiskers. I get it enough. I'm done.
- 7:45Speaker 1: I already hate this man because he's taller and better
- 7:47Speaker 1: looking and more athletic. Enough, it's over. I'm leaving the parade.
- 7:52Speaker 1: That leads me perfectly into my next question. How do
- 7:55Speaker 1: you feel about all the Clayton Jesse comparisons? Because there
- 7:58Speaker 1: are so many memes out there from outlets like Betches
- 8:02Speaker 1: and stuff that are like, can anybody tell it too?
- 8:05Speaker 1: If he's apart? Yeah, I hate Clayton secretly because because
- 8:09Speaker 1: because of what I just said. Again, when they told
- 8:12Speaker 1: me it was Clayton and then we finally got out
- 8:14Speaker 1: of the limo, the first thing I thought was, Damn,
- 8:15Speaker 1: he's way bigger than I thought. I'm like, I've been
- 8:18Speaker 1: in NFL locker rooms, and like there are people that
- 8:21Speaker 1: make big people like I'm six to two thirty, like
- 8:24Speaker 1: I'm like, I feel like a pretty big guy. He
- 8:26Speaker 1: makes people like me just feel average and look average.
- 8:28Speaker 1: That was the first thing. But then too, I was like,
- 8:31Speaker 1: he does kind of look like me a little bit.
- 8:34Speaker 1: And then and then like he's just he's got like
- 8:36Speaker 1: a better physique and all the things, and he's like
- 8:39Speaker 1: he's he's walking over and I'm just like the the
- 8:42Speaker 1: the jealousy was rising, and then my security was falling,
- 8:48Speaker 1: and I was like I was just so insecure in
- 8:50Speaker 1: the moment. I'm like, all right, I know, I know
- 8:53Speaker 1: I'm gonna like you. I know that, but secretly I
- 8:57Speaker 1: really hate you. I think it's just because he probably
- 8:59Speaker 1: remind did you of yourself a decade ago? Yeah, way
- 9:03Speaker 1: less terror product than I had in two thousand four,
- 9:06Speaker 1: but yes, very very similar otherwise for sure. So I
- 9:09Speaker 1: totally see it. I get at least I just at
- 9:11Speaker 1: least I could be his older brother. That's cool, but like,
- 9:14Speaker 1: I just don't want to be the dad. You're just
- 9:18Speaker 1: a little girl would think that, that's all. Uh. Fun
- 9:22Speaker 1: side note question here. As you may know, I come from,
- 9:27Speaker 1: um well, I told you last time, Big Giants fan.
- 9:30Speaker 1: But since I married into I married a Brady absolute fanatic,
- 9:35Speaker 1: like it goes beyond like I know my ranking in
- 9:38Speaker 1: this world is somewhere in between the dog and Tom Brady.
- 9:42Speaker 1: Who do you think is going to the Super Bowl?
- 9:44Speaker 1: What are your predictions? I think the Bucks have a
- 9:46Speaker 1: very hard game this week against the Rams. They do.
- 9:50Speaker 1: That's a good segue. So unfortunately the Giants are not
- 9:53Speaker 1: going to the super Bowl. We'd be totally not for
- 9:56Speaker 1: quite some time, saying that for about ten years, ten years.
- 9:59Speaker 1: It's been ten years. I went to that Super Bowl
- 10:01Speaker 1: ten years ago, and my dad's like, can you believe
- 10:04Speaker 1: it's been that long? And it's been like we've been
- 10:06Speaker 1: bad for like that long now anyway, continue, Yeah, well
- 10:10Speaker 1: so no, no big Blue fine for another year. So
- 10:13Speaker 1: I do think the Buffalo Bills are going to make
- 10:16Speaker 1: the super Bowl. It's the first time in a long
- 10:18Speaker 1: time they're going to get there. Josh Allen is playing
- 10:20Speaker 1: phenomenal quarterback. They have the best defense in the NFL.
- 10:23Speaker 1: They're dominating in the trenches. I think they're going to
- 10:26Speaker 1: beat the Chiefs this weekend. That'll be a huge statement.
- 10:28Speaker 1: I think they're gonna end up getting there. Now, like
- 10:32Speaker 1: who today in their right mind, honestly, if we're being honest.
- 10:36Speaker 1: Who's betting against Tom Brady? Ever? You can't, you cannot.
- 10:41Speaker 1: It's never a smart decision. And like, I get it.
- 10:44Speaker 1: Backers look awesome and Aaron Rodgers and like the super
- 10:47Speaker 1: it's gonna go through lambeau Field, the Tundra and it's
- 10:50Speaker 1: gonna be great. Dude, come on number twelve. Number twelve
- 10:56Speaker 1: rolls up in there. It's like all bets are off.
- 11:00Speaker 1: It's like everybody's like, no, they don't have the weapons
- 11:04Speaker 1: they have. Injury tackle injury does yeah, like the right
- 11:07Speaker 1: tackle injury. I think it's a big one. But like
- 11:10Speaker 1: their defense is healthy. They have one of the best
- 11:12Speaker 1: defensive coordinators. And dude, it's Tom Brady. Like, yeah, it's
- 11:15Speaker 1: gonna be cold. No one could throw the ball in
- 11:17Speaker 1: the cold except Tom Brady because he did in his
- 11:20Speaker 1: whole life with a New England Patriots, and he did
- 11:23Speaker 1: it last year in the NFC Championship game. He beat
- 11:26Speaker 1: the Packers and was amazing. That game was way better
- 11:29Speaker 1: to watch than the actual supervol I don't know, alright,
- 11:34Speaker 1: So you're saying that it could be Bill's Bucks, Bill's Box,
- 11:38Speaker 1: Bill's Mafia, It's so Fi Stadium, And then all the
- 11:40Speaker 1: Brady like you like your husband, like all the Brady Brady,
- 11:44Speaker 1: the Bradyites what we call them, Yeah, let's call them that,
- 11:46Speaker 1: like the Bradyites. They're all gonna be there. It's gonna
- 11:49Speaker 1: We're all gonna be there. You'll be there. It's gonna
- 11:51Speaker 1: be We're gonna Well, I would be there, but my
- 11:54Speaker 1: due date is two days the first. When I let
- 11:59Speaker 1: my has been good to that Seer Bowl, I don't know,
- 12:02Speaker 1: he's already been to. We've already We've already done that
- 12:05Speaker 1: thing together, that bucket list. That's going to be the
- 12:07Speaker 1: true test of where you are in the hierarchy. See
- 12:09Speaker 1: if if Brady isn't the Super Bowl, you're really gonna know,
- 12:13Speaker 1: that's going to be a telling moment. That is that
- 12:16Speaker 1: is such a good point. Alright, well, we're probably boring
- 12:18Speaker 1: Bachelor fans. I could actually pick your brain with that
- 12:21Speaker 1: stuff even more. That'd be fun because I just have
- 12:24Speaker 1: to say, the Bills, after losing four straight ser Bowls
- 12:27Speaker 1: in the nineties, they deserve this. I'm rooting for them
- 12:29Speaker 1: for I love how you get off to the side.
- 12:32Speaker 1: It's like it's like as if they can't hear me anymore.
- 12:46Speaker 1: What's also been a meme this week is the show
- 12:50Speaker 1: making it seem like you met your wife on the Bachelor.
- 12:54Speaker 1: Did you feel like you did that intentionally? Or the
- 12:56Speaker 1: show like, how do you word things in a way
- 12:59Speaker 1: that it was, Oh, by the way, I found my
- 13:01Speaker 1: happily ever after via the Bachelor too, or do you
- 13:04Speaker 1: think that people are just misinterpreting? Uh My, looking back
- 13:08Speaker 1: on it, maybe it was like the order in the
- 13:10Speaker 1: way things were, like said, hey, maybe you remember once
- 13:14Speaker 1: upon a time I was the Bachelor and now I'm
- 13:17Speaker 1: a happily married man. I don't think it necessarily connects
- 13:20Speaker 1: the two things. Both things are totally true, but I
- 13:23Speaker 1: never said, like if I had said I found love
- 13:27Speaker 1: and I'm now a happily married man or I met
- 13:30Speaker 1: my wife on the Bachelor, those are two totally completely
- 13:33Speaker 1: different things. So I think I would say misinterpretation. It's
- 13:37Speaker 1: probably my call on that, all right, because my wife's like,
- 13:41Speaker 1: I was never on the Bachelor, Like she's Brazilian, She's like, yeah,
- 13:44Speaker 1: I never did that. She also might have been trying
- 13:47Speaker 1: to do the math. Now. I don't want to say
- 13:49Speaker 1: how old she was, maybe when I was. We'll just
- 13:51Speaker 1: pax next next time skip. How much did you hang
- 13:55Speaker 1: out with the girls on set? Because when Harrison was around,
- 13:59Speaker 1: he maybe like pop by once a week, and I
- 14:03Speaker 1: was so intimidate. I was like, I can't even have
- 14:06Speaker 1: a conversation with him. With you being your first season
- 14:09Speaker 1: as hosts, I feel like it would be a little
- 14:10Speaker 1: bit less intimidating. Oh well, I hope so, Um, there's not.
- 14:16Speaker 1: There's there's not been a lot of interaction. To be honest, Um,
- 14:19Speaker 1: I actually had to formally introduce myself to them when
- 14:22Speaker 1: I dropped the first day card because on the first night,
- 14:26Speaker 1: like they had never seen me host that show before. Um,
- 14:28Speaker 1: a lot of them probably didn't know who I was.
- 14:31Speaker 1: Literally popped in for a second to put a first
- 14:32Speaker 1: impression rolls down on the table, and then they saw
- 14:34Speaker 1: me at the road ceremony and that was it. So
- 14:36Speaker 1: that's why at the beginning, when the women finally moved
- 14:39Speaker 1: into the to the mansion, I actually have to like
- 14:41Speaker 1: go in and be like, hey, um, so you know,
- 14:44Speaker 1: I'm Jesse, I'm hosting the show, and sort of do that.
- 14:48Speaker 1: I really don't have that that much interaction with them. Um, directly,
- 14:53Speaker 1: I'm always sort of there and I'm kind of omniprepresent
- 14:55Speaker 1: I really made it a point to kind of be
- 14:57Speaker 1: be there for the group dates, for the one on
- 14:59Speaker 1: one dates, cocktail parties, rose ceremonies, travel all that stuff,
- 15:03Speaker 1: to try to be sort of dialed in as much
- 15:05Speaker 1: as I could. But really the majority of my my interaction,
- 15:10Speaker 1: especially one on one, is really with Clay. Okay, uh.
- 15:14Speaker 1: Well that that kind of leads me to my next question,
- 15:17Speaker 1: what did you want your vibe to be as host
- 15:21Speaker 1: um with? With Harrison? You know, I don't. He just
- 15:27Speaker 1: is all we've ever known, right, And then with Caitlyn
- 15:30Speaker 1: and Taitia, their vibe was more of like, we're your girlfriends.
- 15:34Speaker 1: You can come here with us, you can come to
- 15:36Speaker 1: us whenever you need advice. It was more of a
- 15:38Speaker 1: friendly vibe. And when did you go in with a
- 15:42Speaker 1: mindset of how you want to come across? No? And
- 15:46Speaker 1: and really the reason why. Of course, I had watched
- 15:49Speaker 1: the show guide for for for years and years and years,
- 15:52Speaker 1: so I was very very aware of sort of sort
- 15:54Speaker 1: of the different styles of hosting that that we had
- 15:57Speaker 1: had before. I think for me in some ways similar
- 16:01Speaker 1: to when I was the batcher, because I wasn't on
- 16:03Speaker 1: the bachelot the year before. I just wanted to be
- 16:05Speaker 1: authentic and just be myself and just try to do
- 16:08Speaker 1: it my way. Um. You know again, like I'm always
- 16:11Speaker 1: trying to think, like how can I help Clayton? What
- 16:13Speaker 1: can I do? Um? You know, It's one thing to
- 16:15Speaker 1: kind of set up the group dates and go in
- 16:17Speaker 1: and give those talks, and I'm trying to do it
- 16:19Speaker 1: in my own tone and sort of you know, in
- 16:22Speaker 1: my own in my own voice. But you know, for
- 16:26Speaker 1: really my focus is just Clayton and just being myself.
- 16:29Speaker 1: I know he's trying to be as authentic as he
- 16:31Speaker 1: can be. I'm trying to be as authentic as I
- 16:33Speaker 1: can be. And that's kind of why, you know, I
- 16:35Speaker 1: was kind of joking about it on the first night
- 16:37Speaker 1: when I met Clayton, like I am nervous, like standing there,
- 16:42Speaker 1: like I wish I could. I was trying to come
- 16:43Speaker 1: across as being very stoic, but in that moment I
- 16:46Speaker 1: was thinking, like crap, like I've never even been to
- 16:49Speaker 1: this mansion before. I haven't i haven't hoped this show yet,
- 16:51Speaker 1: Like I just don't want to screw this up for
- 16:53Speaker 1: clay And so you know, that's that's really, you know,
- 16:57Speaker 1: kind of what I'm trying to do is just just
- 17:00Speaker 1: be me and and it's it's got to be a
- 17:03Speaker 1: different you know, I can't be like Holiday Baking Championship
- 17:06Speaker 1: host Jesse that I'm always like doing like dad jokes
- 17:09Speaker 1: and like making fun of the time. And I can't
- 17:12Speaker 1: be like ESPN College Football Jesse Um, where it's like
- 17:16Speaker 1: super analytical and forty five second sound bites all the time.
- 17:19Speaker 1: You know, it's it's it's it's kind of I guess
- 17:22Speaker 1: it's taking on a life of its own, and it's
- 17:24Speaker 1: something that I sort of have to kind of find
- 17:25Speaker 1: as I'm as I'm going along with it. I think,
- 17:28Speaker 1: when did you feel like you found your groove? I
- 17:31Speaker 1: thought you came across a very natural night one. Oh
- 17:33Speaker 1: that's good. Well, that's that's nice. It's nice to hear.
- 17:36Speaker 1: I mean, that's what I'm hoping. Um. You know, of
- 17:38Speaker 1: course i'd be again, I'd be lying if I said
- 17:40Speaker 1: like I had it in the bag when I do
- 17:42Speaker 1: exactly what it was going as I did. And you
- 17:44Speaker 1: know this at this point, you know, I still don't.
- 17:48Speaker 1: I mean, I don't know if if I feel yet
- 17:51Speaker 1: like like I've got I've got a real handle on
- 17:54Speaker 1: it and probably wise because you know, every episode I'm
- 17:58Speaker 1: doing something new for the time. So it's like like
- 18:02Speaker 1: dropping the first impression Rose Rose ceremony, group date card
- 18:07Speaker 1: um first, like the first one on one talk with Clayton.
- 18:10Speaker 1: Like the conversation I'm about to have with Clayton now
- 18:12Speaker 1: as he's pondering whether or not he's taking this Rose
- 18:14Speaker 1: back from Cassidy is like is like that that was
- 18:17Speaker 1: the first for me as well, And so you know
- 18:20Speaker 1: it's it's I don't think there's like you know, Women
- 18:24Speaker 1: Tell all will be new after the final Rows will
- 18:26Speaker 1: be new. I don't know, like I don't know how
- 18:28Speaker 1: how it's gonna go or how that's going to feel.
- 18:32Speaker 1: I won't be able to, I think, feel comfortable in
- 18:34Speaker 1: this until you know, way down the road and if
- 18:36Speaker 1: I'm still doing it. So does that make you want
- 18:39Speaker 1: to have another opportunity to host the show? Yeah? I
- 18:42Speaker 1: mean listen, I would be totally game to have that
- 18:45Speaker 1: conversation if they wanted to do that. I just after
- 18:49Speaker 1: what I just said, it's like I'm listening to myself
- 18:52Speaker 1: like I've got my hands so full right now just
- 18:54Speaker 1: with just with Clayton. Yeah, and it just all the
- 18:58Speaker 1: things he's dealing with. I never in a million years
- 19:00Speaker 1: thought like I would have to watch him juggle everything
- 19:06Speaker 1: that's happened in the first two episodes, like three women,
- 19:08Speaker 1: self eliminating before the first row ceremony, his first rows
- 19:11Speaker 1: being rejected before he even gets to the match, and
- 19:14Speaker 1: the self doubt that's already creeping in now, the stuff
- 19:16Speaker 1: happening with Cassidy, more drama between Shane and Elizabeth. Um,
- 19:19Speaker 1: he's kind of he's had these sparks with Teddy and
- 19:21Speaker 1: Susie and some of some of these other women too.
- 19:24Speaker 1: He's hopeful and at the same time he's he's doubting
- 19:27Speaker 1: himself and he's got like drama happening on two fronts.
- 19:29Speaker 1: There's so much going on, and now he's potentially going
- 19:31Speaker 1: to take a rose back. We're not even an episode three.
- 19:34Speaker 1: Like this is great, Like it's a lot happening. So um, yeah,
- 19:39Speaker 1: it's been. It's been a lot, but it's been it's
- 19:42Speaker 1: been a lot of fun. Ye spoiler alert, guys, We're
- 19:54Speaker 1: gonna talk about Cassidy's Instagram story this week. Just are
- 19:58Speaker 1: you aware of what happened? No, talk to me, let's
- 20:01Speaker 1: go what's she basically said on her Instagram story that
- 20:07Speaker 1: he eliminated her. She spoiled that storyline, assuming the producers
- 20:12Speaker 1: are really piste off. She says, isn't it just unbelievable?
- 20:18Speaker 1: And like these are so many words. She cursed a
- 20:20Speaker 1: lot throughout this. She's like, don't you think it's unbelievable
- 20:23Speaker 1: that he offered a rose to a girl who was
- 20:26Speaker 1: previously engaged as of like the week before the Bachelor,
- 20:30Speaker 1: But then with me, I have a friends with benefits
- 20:33Speaker 1: and he eliminates me, so he takes her rose back,
- 20:36Speaker 1: or so it seems. Can you can? Can you have
- 20:41Speaker 1: thoughts on this? And I confirmed nor did not? Are
- 20:44Speaker 1: we sure her Instagram did not get hacked by any
- 20:48Speaker 1: chance she's talking to the screen. Did did Reality Steve
- 20:53Speaker 1: hack her Instagram and just dub over her voice? Did
- 20:58Speaker 1: he put on a wig and just really really just
- 21:01Speaker 1: like winning an Oscar and Academy award? Honestly, I gotta
- 21:05Speaker 1: I gotta be I gotta be real. I didn't know
- 21:07Speaker 1: what I could neither confirm nor deny. No, I wasn't
- 21:10Speaker 1: even aware. Well, we will find out, I guess for
- 21:13Speaker 1: sure how it unfolds on Monday's episode I'm also going
- 21:17Speaker 1: to give you another theory, and I want your response
- 21:20Speaker 1: to it, even it's just a facial reaction, because I
- 21:23Speaker 1: will over analyze your facial expression. Nick Vile and I
- 21:28Speaker 1: have this theory that Teddy, who is h self proclaimed virgin,
- 21:33Speaker 1: will be losing her virginity in the fantasy suite, which
- 21:36Speaker 1: is why Clayton has led to reveal that he slept
- 21:40Speaker 1: with all the women in there. Yes or no, think twice.
- 21:45Speaker 1: If it's a yes, he has a good face. Actually,
- 21:50Speaker 1: that's actually amazing. That's actually an amazing conspiracy theory. Interesting.
- 21:57Speaker 1: I will say, I will say this what what is what?
- 21:59Speaker 1: It has been kind of fun fun to watch a
- 22:03Speaker 1: lot of people think they already know what happens at
- 22:05Speaker 1: the end based on the different teases that they've shown,
- 22:08Speaker 1: But as you know better than anybody, there's a lot
- 22:13Speaker 1: of very smart people working on the show that think
- 22:15Speaker 1: about the editing what they're going to show before things
- 22:17Speaker 1: actually come to fruition. So um, what I can say
- 22:23Speaker 1: is that a big theme this year on Clayton's season
- 22:27Speaker 1: will be there are no rules in the Bachelor. Clayton
- 22:31Speaker 1: never watched the show before he went on the Shell season.
- 22:33Speaker 1: He has, there's no precedence for anything in his mind.
- 22:36Speaker 1: He's doing things for the first time. He's willing to
- 22:39Speaker 1: do very drastic things and take chances and risk. It's
- 22:44Speaker 1: a drastic a nice word for dumb. Drastic is a
- 22:48Speaker 1: word for sometimes authentic, okay, not well thought out. Clayton
- 22:55Speaker 1: knows how to do things his way and how to
- 23:00Speaker 1: handle tough situations his way. And we know Clayton's an
- 23:04Speaker 1: open book. He wears his heart on his sleeve. We've
- 23:06Speaker 1: seen that, and you're going to see more of that
- 23:09Speaker 1: this season. But there's gonna be a lot of things
- 23:11Speaker 1: that happened. You've already seen a couple of first there
- 23:13Speaker 1: are way more first to come that have never happened
- 23:16Speaker 1: on the show in twenty years. And I would venture
- 23:19Speaker 1: to say that anything you've seen in previews is not
- 23:21Speaker 1: the most dramatic thing that happens, honestly, really, Yeah, you
- 23:25Speaker 1: and Nick are going to have an opportunity for some
- 23:28Speaker 1: more sweet conspiracy theories. Oh nice, Okay, really fun? Love
- 23:32Speaker 1: that was Did you have a favorite date activity or
- 23:37Speaker 1: as a favorite date in general that you can tease
- 23:41Speaker 1: for us? Well? Oh, coming up now, I can't well
- 23:44Speaker 1: what what I can but I mean, like, okay, so
- 23:46Speaker 1: like I love his dates and I hate his dates
- 23:50Speaker 1: because his dates are way better than my dates, Like
- 23:54Speaker 1: like the budgets are so jealous of him. Can you tell?
- 23:57Speaker 1: Like I'm harboring a lot of resentments. Like I just
- 24:00Speaker 1: feel like everything Clayton gets is better than what I got,
- 24:03Speaker 1: Like I just I feel like that. It's like the
- 24:05Speaker 1: little brother always gets like big better gifts and everything
- 24:08Speaker 1: gets better closed. Clayton's like that dude took a helicopter
- 24:11Speaker 1: and landed it on a yacht Russian Olio dark style
- 24:14Speaker 1: and then jumped into a hot tub and pop champagne.
- 24:16Speaker 1: I wrote an elephant. Yeah, no, I get it. They
- 24:21Speaker 1: definitely have amped up like the emission Impossible scenes totally.
- 24:26Speaker 1: And it's like where he gets to travel and go
- 24:27Speaker 1: around the world, like I like, no, no disrespect to Washington,
- 24:31Speaker 1: d C in Quebec City, like I love those cities.
- 24:34Speaker 1: That was kind of my peak. That was like sort
- 24:36Speaker 1: of my mount Ever's pinnacle. Clayton's jets say, He's about
- 24:39Speaker 1: the jet set around the world, go to all these
- 24:41Speaker 1: amazing places and do things that like Russian oligarchs do. Jesse,
- 24:47Speaker 1: you know, I'm gonna make you feel better with one
- 24:49Speaker 1: last statement. You know what you had that Clayton doesn't
- 24:54Speaker 1: a spy. This is hard. It is harsh. By the way,
- 24:57Speaker 1: I'll go ratings. Oh, I didn't have to. I didn't
- 25:03Speaker 1: have to go up against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday
- 25:06Speaker 1: Night or the College Football National Championship. But you were
- 25:09Speaker 1: an NFL quarterback, so like you had that too. That's
- 25:13Speaker 1: another one. Are you saying that people just love the
- 25:16Speaker 1: hair product? Yeah, you had really great hair in your
- 25:19Speaker 1: season two. All right, Jesse, thank you so much for
- 25:23Speaker 1: joining us. This was fun. We will hopefully have you
- 25:26Speaker 1: back throughout the season and we can talk about more
- 25:29Speaker 1: of those conspiracy theories that you say it's coming up.
- 25:33Speaker 1: Let's do it. Let's go go Brady, Go Bill Brady.
