- 0:20Speaker 1: face to me and in the place to be.
- 0:22Speaker 2: And you're listening to John Jay and Rich.
- 0:24Speaker 3: Wake your ass up, fool. All right, Rich, what do
- 0:26Speaker 3: you got with today's national what?
- 0:28Speaker 2: Well, it is National Bratwurst Day. It is National Rum Day.
- 0:32Speaker 2: It is National Roller Coaster Day. And it is National
- 0:37Speaker 2: Tell a Joke Day.
- 0:39Speaker 3: Here, I'll start.
- 0:39Speaker 6: I'll start.
- 0:41Speaker 3: Why did the scarecrow get a raise? Why did the
- 0:43Speaker 3: scarecrow get a raise? Because 687. I'm just kidding.
- 0:49Speaker 1: Why?
- 0:50Speaker 2: Because he was outstanding in his field.
- 0:54Speaker 3: National Tell a Joke Day. National Tell-A-Joke Day. I love it. Hey, TJ,
- 0:59Speaker 3: you got a joke?
- 1:00Speaker 1: Yes, I do.
- 1:01Speaker 3: All right, it's National Tell-A-Joke Day, TJ. Let's see what
- 1:04Speaker 3: you got.
- 1:05Speaker 7: So, what do you call a snake that studies past events?
- 1:09Speaker 2: What do you call a snake that studies past events?
- 1:12Speaker 2: Don't know what.
- 1:13Speaker 8: A historian.
- 1:15Speaker 9: A historian.
- 1:17Speaker 3: That's cute. That's cute, TJ. I got one for you, TJ.
- 1:22Speaker 3: When life gives you melons... You might be dyslexic.
- 1:28Speaker 1: That's a good one.
- 1:32Speaker 3: Hold on, TJ. You know, the rotation of the earth.
- 1:35Speaker 10: Melons and lemons are spelt.
- 1:38Speaker 3: The rotation of the earth really makes my day. I
- 1:45Speaker 3: like TJ.
- 1:46Speaker 9: TJ's into it.
- 1:47Speaker 3: Two Wi-Fi engineers got married. The reception was fantastic. Oh,
- 1:52Speaker 3: my God. Oh, man. What did one DNA say to
- 2:03Speaker 3: the other DNA? What? Do these genes make me look fat?
- 2:08Speaker 3: That's a good science one.
- 2:12Speaker 1: That's a good science one.
- 2:13Speaker 3: TJ, have a great day. Thanks for listening, man. You
- 2:18Speaker 3: do the same, guys. Take care. Eric, it's National Tell-A-Joke Day.
- 2:22Speaker 3: What do you got?
- 2:23Speaker 2: What did Mike Tyson tell Chris Hemsworth after their workout?
- 2:27Speaker 2: What did he say?
- 2:29Speaker 3: You're going to be Thor in the morning. He's got
- 2:33Speaker 3: a speech impediment. Thor, you're going to be Thor in
- 2:36Speaker 3: the morning. That's funny on so many levels. Oh, man.
- 2:42Speaker 3: You know, I'm afraid of elevators, so I take steps
- 2:44Speaker 3: to avoid them. That's good, Eric. Thanks for calling in, man.
- 2:50Speaker 3: No problem. Thank you. Nashville, tell a joke. Do you
- 2:53Speaker 3: got any, Kyle?
- 2:54Speaker 11: Yes.
- 2:55Speaker 5: You do?
- 2:55Speaker 9: Why can't you hear a pterodactyl in the bathroom?
- 3:00Speaker 1: Why?
- 3:00Speaker 9: Because the P is silent.
- 3:03Speaker 12: Pterodactyl.
- 3:04Speaker 9: Spelling jokes.
- 3:06Speaker 3: Spelling jokes.
- 3:09Speaker 4: Oh, man.
- 3:11Speaker 3: I actually have a really good joke about time travel,
- 3:14Speaker 3: but you didn't like it. That's stupid. That's great. That's
- 3:22Speaker 3: really good. What do you got, Nick? Do you guys
- 3:25Speaker 3: know the difference between a hippo and a zippo? No, what?
- 3:29Speaker 2: So a hippo, you know, is a big animal, huge tusks,
- 3:33Speaker 2: lives in the water just as fast on the land
- 3:35Speaker 2: as it is in the sea.
- 3:36Speaker 3: And a zippo is a little lighter.
- 3:38Speaker 2: A little lighter.
- 3:41Speaker 3: Kyle, do you know the difference between toilet paper and
- 3:44Speaker 3: a shower curtain?
- 3:45Speaker 9: What is it?
- 3:46Speaker 3: Do you know the difference? I don't.
- 3:47Speaker 9: I mean, I know the actual difference.
- 3:49Speaker 3: Well, it's a joke, so you're supposed to play along.
- 3:50Speaker 3: I know. You're killing the joke.
- 3:52Speaker 9: Yeah, I know I'm not.
- 3:53Speaker 1: Yeah, you are.
- 3:53Speaker 9: I said, what is it?
- 3:55Speaker 3: Well, so you're the one.
- 3:56Speaker 4: What?
- 3:59Speaker 3: Do you know the difference between toilet paper and a
- 4:00Speaker 3: shower curtain? And you say, no, I don't. So you're
- 4:03Speaker 3: the one, meaning you're the one wiping your ass with
- 4:04Speaker 3: the shower curtains. But if you say, yes, I know
- 4:08Speaker 3: the difference, then it kills the joke. So you've got to,
- 4:11Speaker 3: you've got to call it a joke listening check. I said,
- 4:16Speaker 3: what is it? You know, I'm skeptical of anyone who
- 4:20Speaker 3: tells me they do yoga every day. That's a bit
- 4:22Speaker 3: of a stretch. Peyton, how does a computer get drunk?
- 4:29Speaker 8: How?
- 4:29Speaker 3: It takes screenshots. Oh. I used to be a people
- 4:34Speaker 3: person until people ruined it for me. Anyway.
- 4:39Speaker 10: There's a little bit of truth to all those jokes.
- 4:42Speaker 3: Yeah, that one is just a statement I feel like.
- 4:45Speaker 3: It's National Tell-A-Joke Day, so feel free to call in
- 4:48Speaker 3: and jump in and tell us jokes. You got any more, Rich?
- 4:52Speaker 9: I am.
- 4:53Speaker 2: Actually, I have a construction joke, but I'm still working on.
- 4:57Speaker 3: It. 6.30, by the way, is the best time on
- 4:59Speaker 3: the clock, hands down. The man who invented Velcro died. Rip.
- 5:08Speaker 9: What do you call a Gen Z farmer?
- 5:10Speaker 1: What?
- 5:10Speaker 10: A crop top.
- 5:13Speaker 2: I'm reading this book.
- 5:14Speaker 3: Thanks, Kyle. Thanks. I appreciated that. I'm reading this book.
- 5:19Speaker 3: It's about anti-gravity. It's impossible to put down.
- 5:26Speaker 10: That was funny.
- 5:27Speaker 9: I was just trying to make you feel how I felt.
- 5:30Speaker 3: The man who invented knock-knock jokes should get a Nobel Prize.
- 5:34Speaker 2: A Nobel.
- 5:37Speaker 9: Nobel. Yes, yes, yes.
- 5:41Speaker 3: I can't believe I got fired from the calendar factory.
- 5:43Speaker 3: All I did was take a day off. Oh, man. Anyway,
- 5:49Speaker 3: National Tell-A-Joke Day. We'll sprinkle them in throughout the show.
- 5:53Speaker 3: It's John Jay and Rich.
- 5:55Speaker 11: Microphone check.
- 5:55Speaker 9: Tap in and say what's up.
- 5:57Speaker 3: Check.
- 5:57Speaker 12: Open the free iHeartRadio app and tap the talkback mic
- 6:00Speaker 12: to send John Jay and Rich a message now.
- 6:02Speaker 3: I'm Sargon from Sargon Law Group. Hey, what's a vibe
- 6:04Speaker 3: for horoscopes today?
- 6:05Speaker 10: If you feel like a total sideshow today, blame the
- 6:08Speaker 10: stars because everything is all out of whack. So I'm
- 6:10Speaker 10: going to tell you exactly what you're about to get
- 6:12Speaker 10: in today based on your zodiac sign. If it's your birthday,
- 6:15Speaker 10: we are still in Virgo season. You share a birthday
- 6:17Speaker 10: with Nick Jonas, Chase Stokes, Flo Rida, Gleb from Dancing
- 6:21Speaker 10: with the Stars. Amy Poehler, Metro Boomin, and Jackie Young.
- 6:25Speaker 10: So many celebrity birthdays today.
- 6:27Speaker 1: Virgos.
- 6:28Speaker 9: Let's get right into it.
- 6:29Speaker 10: John Jay, you're going to kind of treat your partner
- 6:32Speaker 10: like a fixer-upper project today. You're going to kind of
- 6:34Speaker 10: ignore who they actually are and focus strictly on fixing
- 6:38Speaker 10: everything about them. And then when they get mad, they're
- 6:40Speaker 10: going to resent you for it. So moving forward, I
- 6:44Speaker 10: don't know if they're talking about Blake. I don't know
- 6:46Speaker 10: if they're talking about Rich.
- 6:47Speaker 3: Well, Rich is a fixer-upper for sure.
- 6:50Speaker 9: But tread lightly, whatever you do today.
- 6:55Speaker 3: I got to get this guy fixed up. My wife,
- 6:58Speaker 3: on the other hand, I made a suggestion to her.
- 6:59Speaker 3: Somebody DM'd me about– I took this picture of Blake.
- 7:02Speaker 3: I posted it on my Instagram yesterday, and I thought
- 7:04Speaker 3: it was such a cute picture. She was in an airplane,
- 7:06Speaker 3: but the seat was covering her like right about her nose,
- 7:09Speaker 3: just her eyes. And you could see that she was smiling,
- 7:11Speaker 3: and she has such a happy face. So I took
- 7:13Speaker 3: a picture, and then somebody messaged me, and they're an
- 7:17Speaker 3: eyebrow person. And they're like, hey, I would really like
- 7:19Speaker 3: to work on Blake. I could do this to her eyebrows, whatever.
- 7:21Speaker 3: And I was like, ooh, that sounds cool. So I
- 7:22Speaker 3: said to Blake, hey, let's get your eyebrows done. Whoops.
- 7:26Speaker 13: Right, are her eyebrows not fine as they are?
- 7:31Speaker 3: I would just say it the way the lady said
- 7:32Speaker 3: it to me. And then she sent me a picture.
- 7:33Speaker 3: I go, that looks really cool. She was going to
- 7:35Speaker 3: do the eyebrows. Anyway, I'm dealing with that right now.
- 7:37Speaker 3: So I'm going to lean towards Rich is the fixer-upper.
- 7:41Speaker 3: Rich is the fixer-upper. I'll take a little heat for you. Jamie,
- 7:45Speaker 3: good morning, Jamie. What's your sign?
- 7:47Speaker 9: I'm a Taurus.
- 7:48Speaker 10: Okay, so for my Taurus this morning, you guys are
- 7:52Speaker 10: going to stay in a situation two years past its
- 7:55Speaker 10: expiration date purely because you just don't like change. You
- 7:58Speaker 10: might love their dog or you just don't want to
- 8:00Speaker 10: adjust your routine.
- 8:01Speaker 2: You're not loyal.
- 8:02Speaker 10: You're just a little stubborn and lazy sometimes. So be
- 8:04Speaker 10: careful because the stars are out to get my Tauruses today.
- 8:08Speaker 14: That sounds like me.
- 8:08Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 8:09Speaker 3: You're welcome. Thanks, Jamie.
- 8:11Speaker 11: Thanks.
- 8:12Speaker 3: Bye. Hey, Jessica, what's your sign?
- 8:14Speaker 4: I'm an Aquarius.
- 8:16Speaker 10: Okay, for my Aquarius, you guys kind of act completely
- 8:19Speaker 10: detached and you pretend that you don't have feelings. But
- 8:21Speaker 10: then you low-key get mad when the other person isn't
- 8:23Speaker 10: like reading your mind. So tread lightly today as well
- 8:28Speaker 10: because the stars are not in my Aquarius favor.
- 8:30Speaker 4: Okay, yep, that sounds just like me. Thank you so much.
- 8:34Speaker 3: Thanks, Jessica. Good morning, Paula. What's your sign?
- 8:38Speaker 15: Leo.
- 8:38Speaker 9: I'm a Leo too, Paula.
- 8:40Speaker 6: Okay.
- 8:40Speaker 10: As Leos, we don't really fall in love with someone.
- 8:43Speaker 10: We fall in love with how good we look next
- 8:45Speaker 10: to them. So moving forward today and the rest of
- 8:48Speaker 10: the days, we really got to look into that because
- 8:50Speaker 10: the second that they don't match our aesthetic or stroke
- 8:52Speaker 10: our ego enough, we're starting to look for an upgrade.
- 8:56Speaker 4: Thank you, Peyton.
- 8:57Speaker 3: Thanks, Paula.
- 8:58Speaker 8: You're welcome.
- 9:00Speaker 3: How about Rich, Pisces?
- 9:01Speaker 9: Yeah, Pisces.
- 9:03Speaker 10: We all know that you kind of fall in love
- 9:04Speaker 10: with like a made-up version of someone that you've made
- 9:07Speaker 10: up in your head. And then you act completely heartbroken
- 9:09Speaker 10: and betrayed when they turn out to be a regular
- 9:11Speaker 10: human being with flaws. So moving forward, just accept people.
- 9:16Speaker 9: For who they are, Rich.
- 9:17Speaker 15: Okay.
- 9:17Speaker 16: Okay.
- 9:19Speaker 3: Sure, why not? How about Libras?
- 9:21Speaker 10: Kyle, you like aggressively flirt with the bartender or like
- 9:25Speaker 10: maybe your partner's friend right in front of them.
- 9:27Speaker 9: And you're like, it's harmless just to see if you've
- 9:29Speaker 9: got game.
- 9:30Speaker 10: So the stars are saying, stop leaving a trail of
- 9:32Speaker 10: emotional sabotage for sport, please and thank you.
- 9:37Speaker 9: Or maybe we're just friendly and people are interpreting it
- 9:40Speaker 9: as flirting.
- 9:40Speaker 8: Okay.
- 9:41Speaker 5: Perhaps.
- 9:42Speaker 3: All right. If we missed your sign, they're all posted
- 9:44Speaker 3: on our website, johnjainrich.com. John Jay and Rich. Tara, good morning.
- 9:59Speaker 3: What's up?
- 10:00Speaker 11: Hey, how are you?
- 10:02Speaker 3: Good.
- 10:02Speaker 11: So I talked with you a couple months ago. My girlfriend, Sydney,
- 10:05Speaker 11: had called in when we were trying to figure out
- 10:07Speaker 11: what song was playing on my son's piano.
- 10:09Speaker 15: Oh, yeah.
- 10:12Speaker 4: I remember you.
- 10:12Speaker 2: You denied all my choices.
- 10:14Speaker 17: I would like to hum the melody to you guys
- 10:17Speaker 17: and see if any of you can help us figure
- 10:19Speaker 17: it out.
- 10:20Speaker 5: Alyssa.
- 10:23Speaker 16: I think it's Go the Distance by Michael Bolton from
- 10:26Speaker 16: the Hercules movie.
- 10:26Speaker 6: I think it's Celine Dion, That's.
- 10:28Speaker 2: The Way It Is.
- 10:42Speaker 3: I will go the distance.
- 10:45Speaker 9: He will.
- 10:50Speaker 6: Baptize me.
- 10:51Speaker 3: Why did you hum it? You could have just played
- 10:54Speaker 3: it for us.
- 10:54Speaker 11: Because I thought you needed to hear that.
- 10:55Speaker 3: I needed to hear my voice. My boys say that
- 10:58Speaker 3: woman's crazy. She's just humming Bluey. Piano mystery solved. I'm
- 11:06Speaker 3: calling it. I couldn't get through. I'm pretty sure it's
- 11:07Speaker 3: a demo song I have on my Yamaha electric keyboard
- 11:10Speaker 3: called Broken Catalyst.
- 11:21Speaker 9: Combined all the songs.
- 11:22Speaker 3: That's what it sounds like. This show goes so sideways in.
- 11:28Speaker 2: So many ways.
- 11:31Speaker 11: I have a cool story I want to share. About
- 11:34Speaker 11: something that happened this weekend to me. So we went to,
- 11:39Speaker 11: my son and I and Sydney went to Red Rocks
- 11:43Speaker 11: for the Brandi Carlile show.
- 11:44Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 11:45Speaker 3: You guys know who she is? Yes.
- 11:46Speaker 11: Okay. We paid to go to the soundcheck and I
- 11:51Speaker 11: am a drummer. And so I had this plan that
- 11:54Speaker 11: I was going to post a cover of me playing
- 11:56Speaker 11: the song, the story of hers on the drums. I
- 12:00Speaker 11: tagged her. I asked, hey, can I, could I play
- 12:02Speaker 11: this with you at soundcheck? We brought signs. My son
- 12:06Speaker 11: held up a sign that said, can my mom play
- 12:08Speaker 11: the story on drums? And sat front row at soundcheck.
- 12:13Speaker 11: Brandy read his sign and said, you want your mom
- 12:15Speaker 11: to play?
- 12:16Speaker 3: And he said, yeah.
- 12:17Speaker 11: She's like, all right, let's do it.
- 12:18Speaker 7: Come on up.
- 12:19Speaker 11: Oh, that's so cool. I got to play. drums with
- 12:23Speaker 11: the whole band at freaking red rock incredible the video
- 12:29Speaker 11: went the video like went viral i've had i've i
- 12:32Speaker 11: got like 500 new followers i'm usually on private on
- 12:36Speaker 11: instagram And then I was going to go back to private.
- 12:39Speaker 11: I went public so she could see it.
- 12:41Speaker 3: You must have crushed it.
- 12:41Speaker 11: I was going to go back to private. And now
- 12:44Speaker 11: I have all these followers.
- 12:45Speaker 3: That's awesome. Was that the same show?
- 12:47Speaker 11: I'm going to take over really fast. She absolutely freaking
- 12:51Speaker 11: nailed it. And the reason it went so viral is
- 12:55Speaker 11: because the crowd went wild. Brandy bowed down to her
- 12:59Speaker 11: afterwards because she was so impressed. It was a moment
- 13:02Speaker 11: that is unforgettable.
- 13:04Speaker 9: I love that.
- 13:05Speaker 3: Can we post a video?
- 13:07Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 13:08Speaker 11: We'll share it with you. Yeah, I'll DM you the
- 13:11Speaker 11: video on Instagram.
- 13:12Speaker 3: All right, get off private so we can reshare it. Hey, Tara.
- 13:15Speaker 3: Or I could send it to Cleo.
- 13:17Speaker 2: When you come out to Love Pup Family Fest, would
- 13:20Speaker 2: you jump on stage with my band and play drums?
- 13:22Speaker 2: Pick your song.
- 13:23Speaker 7: Oh, my gosh, yeah.
- 13:24Speaker 11: What do you guys play?
- 13:25Speaker 1: Covers?
- 13:26Speaker 3: Yeah, just covers.
- 13:26Speaker 11: Or you have a.
- 13:28Speaker 3: Okay, All Oblique 182. Let's do All Oblique 182.
- 13:31Speaker 11: Oh, and another cool thing.
- 13:33Speaker 8: Wait, wait, wait.
- 13:33Speaker 4: One more thing.
- 13:34Speaker 11: So Trey Cool, do you know who he is?
- 13:36Speaker 2: Yeah, of course. From Green Day.
- 13:37Speaker 8: The drummer of.
- 13:38Speaker 11: Green Day commented on my video and said, like, great job.
- 13:43Speaker 3: That's awesome. Come on. So have you played.
- 13:45Speaker 9: Drums your whole life?
- 13:47Speaker 11: I mean, I started when I was seven and I
- 13:50Speaker 11: was like, I'm 37. So I'm too young to be
- 13:53Speaker 11: doing something that long. And my son right now is
- 13:56Speaker 11: the same age.
- 13:57Speaker 3: He's seven.
- 13:57Speaker 16: So.
- 13:58Speaker 9: That's awesome.
- 13:58Speaker 11: Yeah, it's pretty cool.
- 14:00Speaker 3: I'm so glad you called and shared that with us.
- 14:02Speaker 3: I can't wait to see the video. We're going to
- 14:03Speaker 3: post it on social media as soon as we get it.
- 14:04Speaker 3: So DM it ASAP.
- 14:06Speaker 8: Okay.
- 14:07Speaker 3: Thanks, guys.
- 14:07Speaker 1: We will.
- 14:08Speaker 11: Thank you so much.
- 14:12Speaker 3: It's time for Stacks and Hacks. I have stacks of information.
- 14:16Speaker 3: Rich has life hacks. The information I have is great
- 14:20Speaker 3: stuff to take with you through the day. So that
- 14:21Speaker 3: way you're very topical when you talk about your friends
- 14:23Speaker 3: with your friends at work. This happened with the name Chad.
- 14:28Speaker 3: And this happened with the name Karen. And this happened
- 14:31Speaker 3: with the name Alexa. And this happened with a bunch
- 14:35Speaker 3: of stuff. But I guess people named Al. Are getting
- 14:38Speaker 3: all upset now because of AI? Yeah, sure.
- 14:40Speaker 9: Right, because AL looks like AI.
- 14:43Speaker 3: Yeah, that's exactly right. So according to a new report,
- 14:46Speaker 3: it's becoming a headache for many ALs and their businesses.
- 14:48Speaker 3: There's a place in San Francisco called AL's Attire. They're
- 14:53Speaker 3: getting the owners like the little lowercase L can look
- 14:55Speaker 3: exactly like a capital I. My entire human identity depends
- 14:59Speaker 3: on one very small line. Please. Several owls have joked
- 15:02Speaker 3: about starting a support group over this, and it's not
- 15:04Speaker 3: a problem that's going away. It's just the beginning. AI
- 15:07Speaker 3: is just the beginning. So all these owls now, some
- 15:09Speaker 3: are having fun with it and some owls. Getting pretty
- 15:11Speaker 3: pissed off. Remember the Karens? How mad the Karens got? Yeah.
- 15:14Speaker 10: But the Karens that got mad about the Karens were Karens.
- 15:18Speaker 3: Yeah, that's right.
- 15:19Speaker 9: Yeah, these owls are just innocent. They're innocent.
- 15:22Speaker 3: New report says reservations for one are becoming more common
- 15:27Speaker 3: with data showing they're up 22% over last year. So
- 15:30Speaker 3: most people are making reservations for themselves mostly on Tuesdays.
- 15:34Speaker 2: Oh, interesting.
- 15:34Speaker 3: Most people eat alone on Tuesdays. I don't know if
- 15:37Speaker 3: I'd make a reservation. I think I'd just show up.
- 15:39Speaker 2: Yeah, but you know what? You don't want to have
- 15:40Speaker 2: to stand around by yourself. You want to go and eat.
- 15:44Speaker 3: So deputies in Mississippi are looking for a vehicle with
- 15:49Speaker 3: a crazy statement written on it. And it's connected to
- 15:52Speaker 3: many burglary investigations. This is part of the newscast. And
- 15:55Speaker 3: this is why I'm playing, because I think it's just
- 15:57Speaker 3: so bizarre that this would air in the newscast. But still.
- 16:00Speaker 18: And new at 10, Apprentice County investigators are looking for
- 16:03Speaker 18: a vehicle with fat chicks only written on it. It
- 16:06Speaker 18: is all in connection with a recent burglary that happened there.
- 16:09Speaker 18: Deputies say that the family reported a black older model
- 16:14Speaker 18: Chevrolet Tahoe. The witness said the SUV had the words
- 16:18Speaker 18: fat chicks only written on the rear glass.
- 16:21Speaker 3: Wow.
- 16:22Speaker 9: Hey, they know what they like.
- 16:29Speaker 3: This seems like a premise for a horror show, but
- 16:31Speaker 3: a 50 year old man is facing burglary and assault
- 16:33Speaker 3: charges after he allegedly used power tools to break through
- 16:36Speaker 3: a shared wall into his duplex neighbor's home. Then he said,
- 16:41Speaker 3: I'm going to be crawling through the walls and figure
- 16:43Speaker 3: out ways to make your life hell. Jeez. So he
- 16:46Speaker 3: got arrested.
- 16:47Speaker 9: Yeah, that's terrifying.
- 16:48Speaker 3: I guess it's been so hot in the UK that
- 16:50Speaker 3: there's been a boom of monster rats. Monster rats.
- 16:57Speaker 2: Like how big?
- 16:58Speaker 3: I don't know, man, but they call them monster. 75%
- 17:01Speaker 3: of Americans now see prenups as beneficial, not threatening to relationships.
- 17:06Speaker 3: That's good news. Someone asked the internet, What TV show
- 17:11Speaker 3: got canceled on a massive cliffhanger that frustrates you to
- 17:16Speaker 3: this day? Some of these shows I've heard of. Some
- 17:19Speaker 3: of them I haven't. But number two on this list, Kyle,
- 17:22Speaker 3: you and I are on the very same page on this.
- 17:24Speaker 3: And if you can't think of it, when I get
- 17:26Speaker 3: to it, you'll know. But these are some shows that
- 17:28Speaker 3: were canceled. Before they were finished.
- 17:31Speaker 1: Oh, I know.
- 17:32Speaker 9: I do love it.
- 17:33Speaker 3: Which one?
- 17:33Speaker 15: Mindhunter.
- 17:34Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 17:35Speaker 3: Mindhunter's number two. Number one show is called Pushing Daisies
- 17:37Speaker 3: and I don't remember that show.
- 17:39Speaker 9: Oh, is Star on there? That show Star?
- 17:41Speaker 19: Star.
- 17:42Speaker 3: Star's not on here. Oh, so good. Alf is on here. Glow.
- 17:45Speaker 3: My name is Earl. The O-A. The O-A. The idol.
- 17:49Speaker 9: I know the idol's on that list.
- 17:50Speaker 3: Dead Like Me. Last Man on Earth. Quantum Leap. Santa
- 17:54Speaker 3: Clarita Diet. And number one is Pushing Daisy. Oh, yeah.
- 17:58Speaker 3: BuzzFeed shared a list of the products, trends, and inventions
- 18:01Speaker 3: that were hyped as the next big thing then fizzled out. Hoverboards.
- 18:06Speaker 9: Yeah, I was going to literally say hoverboards.
- 18:08Speaker 10: Yes.
- 18:09Speaker 3: Curved TVs. I remember that.
- 18:12Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 18:12Speaker 2: If you got one of those, you watch, you're like, okay,
- 18:14Speaker 2: that's kind of confusing.
- 18:15Speaker 3: Crystal Pepsi is on there. The Segway. Google Plus. Zima.
- 18:22Speaker 3: 3D movies. And the number one thing on this list
- 18:25Speaker 3: that they say was the next big trend and phased
- 18:27Speaker 3: out was something called ephemeral tattoos.
- 18:31Speaker 10: What's that?
- 18:31Speaker 3: They're tattoos that are meant to fade after nine months.
- 18:34Speaker 9: Oh, yeah, and they don't ever fade.
- 18:35Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 18:36Speaker 2: Yeah, I've seen those before.
- 18:37Speaker 3: You mean just tattoos? They're just called tattoos?
- 18:39Speaker 9: Yeah, people get them.
- 18:40Speaker 10: And they were supposed to only last that long, and
- 18:42Speaker 10: they ended up lasting forever.
- 18:44Speaker 3: What do you have for Life Hacks, Rich?
- 18:45Speaker 2: Well, it is National Tell-A-Joke Day, and the Life Hack
- 18:48Speaker 2: is how to tell a joke and kind of own it. Oh,
- 18:52Speaker 2: and they say if you're ever given a speech of
- 18:54Speaker 2: some kind, the best way to kind of start off
- 18:55Speaker 2: your speech is with a little bit of humor. And
- 18:57Speaker 2: it doesn't even matter if it's a funny joke. They say,
- 19:01Speaker 2: don't panic. Don't explain it. Just smile and say, yeah,
- 19:03Speaker 2: that's a joke I went with. And if it gets groans,
- 19:05Speaker 2: it gets groans. So like if I were. You know,
- 19:08Speaker 2: standing up in front of a science class, I might
- 19:10Speaker 2: say something like, hey, why don't scientists trust atoms, guys?
- 19:14Speaker 18: Why?
- 19:15Speaker 2: Because they make up everything.
- 19:18Speaker 9: Science jokes.
- 19:23Speaker 3: I thought you had a guy's name, Adam. No, no, no.
- 19:26Speaker 3: Science jokes.
- 19:28Speaker 2: So acknowledging the bomb can break the tension and sometimes
- 19:30Speaker 2: the bomb gets a bigger laugh than the actual joke.
- 19:33Speaker 2: It is National Telejoke Day. I'm sure that we will
- 19:36Speaker 2: get into that a little bit later on the show.
- 19:38Speaker 2: Or maybe we got into it earlier. I don't even know.
- 19:40Speaker 2: Maybe we did. That life hack and many more can
- 19:43Speaker 2: be found at johnjainrich.com.
- 19:45Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 19:46Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 19:47Speaker 11: I said what I said.
- 19:51Speaker 3: Someone asked the Internet, what's a skill almost everyone thinks
- 19:56Speaker 3: they're good at until they meet someone who's actually great
- 20:00Speaker 3: at it? So think about that for a second.
- 20:02Speaker 2: What about like for me, like when you go to
- 20:05Speaker 2: a bar, any bar game like pool? Are darts or
- 20:08Speaker 2: something that people are really good at? You always think
- 20:10Speaker 2: you're good until somebody comes and just shows you up?
- 20:13Speaker 3: That's close because, I mean, I would agree with you,
- 20:15Speaker 3: but like cornhole, actually, no, it says here, anything that's
- 20:17Speaker 3: played casually, cornhole, bowling, darts, people do pretty well playing
- 20:21Speaker 3: against their buddies at a bar, but then boom, you
- 20:23Speaker 3: get a pro. Or you see like an actual person
- 20:26Speaker 3: who knows how to bowl. Yeah.
- 20:28Speaker 9: That's literally my mom.
- 20:29Speaker 10: My mom was in bowling leagues for the majority of
- 20:32Speaker 10: my like childhood. And so I don't even want to
- 20:34Speaker 10: go bowling with her because she is just no mercy.
- 20:37Speaker 9: It's like not even fun to.
- 20:39Speaker 11: Play with her.
- 20:40Speaker 3: So I have, there's something that I'm going to bring
- 20:42Speaker 3: up that I have never tried, but I look at
- 20:45Speaker 3: it and I think it looks so easy and stupid
- 20:48Speaker 3: and I could do it, but there's no way I'm
- 20:49Speaker 3: going to do it because I know I'm not good
- 20:50Speaker 3: at it. And that is pickleball.
- 20:51Speaker 9: I was going to guess that.
- 20:53Speaker 3: Like when I was just watching tennis last week, I
- 20:56Speaker 3: was like, Yeah, I could kick ass in tennis.
- 20:59Speaker 16: Nah.
- 21:00Speaker 3: I don't think so. Well, here's some of the things
- 21:03Speaker 3: people said. Doing makeup.
- 21:06Speaker 1: Right?
- 21:06Speaker 16: Yeah.
- 21:07Speaker 3: Right?
- 21:07Speaker 9: You get a pro to do it and you're like, wait.
- 21:10Speaker 3: So what is something, a skill almost everyone thinks they're
- 21:13Speaker 3: good at until you meet someone who's actually great at it?
- 21:16Speaker 2: Cooking.
- 21:17Speaker 3: I'll give you cooking. It's not on here, but I
- 21:18Speaker 3: would say cooking is on it. It should be because
- 21:20Speaker 3: that's photography, especially with everyone having a smartphone now. Yeah.
- 21:24Speaker 3: Super Smash Bros. Big difference between beating all your friends
- 21:27Speaker 3: at house parties and going to weekly tournaments.
- 21:30Speaker 10: I don't know why jump rope and double dutching just
- 21:32Speaker 10: came into my mind. I feel like a lot of
- 21:34Speaker 10: people can jump a rope, but there's those pros out
- 21:37Speaker 10: there that.
- 21:37Speaker 3: Are really good. The pro jumpers are unbelievable.
- 21:40Speaker 9: They're doing flips and stuff.
- 21:42Speaker 3: Any trade? It says any trade. You think about that,
- 21:45Speaker 3: like welding.
- 21:46Speaker 2: Well, that's true. You feel like you can fix stuff
- 21:48Speaker 2: because you've watched it on YouTube. But when you see
- 21:51Speaker 2: somebody really do it.
- 21:51Speaker 3: Well, on this list, this is evaluating the authenticity of
- 21:54Speaker 3: information and advice. I guess it seems easy, but maybe
- 21:58Speaker 3: it's not.
- 21:59Speaker 10: What about like arts and crafts, like people who have
- 22:00Speaker 10: a cricket at home versus like the people who actually
- 22:03Speaker 10: like mass produced stuff?
- 22:05Speaker 3: Well, that's true, right? Oh, she's just like, I do.
- 22:08Speaker 3: She's like this. I said I do.
- 22:09Speaker 9: Oh, no, because I honestly don't think I'm that great
- 22:12Speaker 9: at it. What about all of us? You know, there's
- 22:14Speaker 9: some people out there that are like, I'm the best
- 22:16Speaker 9: cricket machine maker.
- 22:17Speaker 2: What about all of us that think because we've watched
- 22:19Speaker 2: a few documentaries, we can solve any murder mystery?
- 22:22Speaker 3: Yeah, that's good. This one on the list is pretty
- 22:26Speaker 3: amazing because we've tried it before and it doesn't work. Acting.
- 22:30Speaker 3: It looks all natural and straightforward, but it's really hard
- 22:32Speaker 3: to appear natural.
- 22:33Speaker 6: Totally.
- 22:33Speaker 3: You know what I do sometimes when I'm watching TV?
- 22:35Speaker 3: I look at the extras. That's smart.
- 22:38Speaker 9: I've never done that before.
- 22:39Speaker 3: A lot of times the extras, you're like, that guy sucks.
- 22:42Speaker 3: No one walks like that. You're trying to avoid that
- 22:44Speaker 3: right there. You suck, man, walking through a scene. Writing
- 22:50Speaker 3: is very difficult. That's true. Anybody thinks they can write
- 22:53Speaker 3: a story, but they can't. Driving, they say.
- 22:56Speaker 19: Teaching.
- 22:56Speaker 3: Teaching. You don't need to be well versed in the
- 22:58Speaker 3: subject matter. You have to be able to effectively explain
- 23:00Speaker 3: the information based on the specific audience in front of you.
- 23:03Speaker 3: Storytelling is very, very difficult. And this right here, number
- 23:07Speaker 3: one on this list is interesting. And I've tried this
- 23:10Speaker 3: before and they're right. Fighting. Fighting is very, very difficult.
- 23:15Speaker 1: Well, yeah.
- 23:16Speaker 3: If you get a pro fighter, they're going to knock
- 23:18Speaker 3: you out in a half a second. Remember I went
- 23:19Speaker 3: through my boxing phase? Yes. I went through a boxing phase.
- 23:22Speaker 3: I'll never forget getting into the ring and the guy
- 23:24Speaker 3: beating the hell out of me. And by the way,
- 23:27Speaker 3: I loved it. It felt great. But you just learn,
- 23:29Speaker 3: you know, when you're going to pretend to fight, pretend
- 23:31Speaker 3: you're going to fight. Okay.
- 23:32Speaker 4: Right.
- 23:33Speaker 3: Pretend you're going to fight. Rich, pretend you're going to fight.
- 23:35Speaker 3: I'm going to take off and run. That's how I'm
- 23:37Speaker 3: going to do it. Just what you guys did. That's
- 23:39Speaker 3: what I used to do. Like this. You put your
- 23:41Speaker 3: hands right here. But when you're going to fight, you
- 23:42Speaker 3: got to put your hands up here. You got to
- 23:44Speaker 3: protect your face. Yeah, totally. I was like, let's go, dude. Pow, pow, pow, pow.
- 23:50Speaker 9: You got to go.
- 23:51Speaker 3: You want to peek out, peek out. Peek-a-boo, peek-a-boo.
- 23:54Speaker 9: I was wondering, didn't they.
- 23:55Speaker 12: Like, okay, so boxers do that, right? It's probably because
- 23:57Speaker 12: they have the gloves. But don't you think you could
- 23:59Speaker 12: just punch the glove and then you punch their face?
- 24:00Speaker 3: They do that too.
- 24:01Speaker 9: Does it actually guard you?
- 24:02Speaker 19: Yeah.
- 24:03Speaker 3: Hopefully you're holding it. Because then you put your gloves
- 24:06Speaker 3: on your face and they just beat you and it
- 24:07Speaker 3: protects your face.
- 24:08Speaker 12: Because when I would get beat up by my siblings,
- 24:09Speaker 12: I would try to cover my face and they would
- 24:11Speaker 12: just take my hand and boom.
- 24:11Speaker 9: Yeah, you hit yourself.
- 24:13Speaker 2: You hit yourself.
- 24:14Speaker 3: That hurts, but when you have gloves on, it doesn't hurt.
- 24:17Speaker 3: It doesn't hurt. Anyway, what's a skill everyone thinks they're
- 24:20Speaker 3: good at until they meet someone who's actually great at it?
- 24:22Speaker 3: You got anything to add to the list? Text us.
- 24:24Speaker 3: Text JJR or whatever you want to put on that
- 24:26Speaker 3: list to 96893.
- 24:26Speaker 1: Youngblood thinks there's always tomorrow.
- 24:36Speaker 3: Hi, Vicki. Good morning. You're on the air. How are you?
- 24:38Speaker 3: Thanks for holding.
- 24:39Speaker 8: Hi.
- 24:40Speaker 1: Good morning.
- 24:41Speaker 4: I'm good.
- 24:41Speaker 11: How are you?
- 24:42Speaker 3: Good. What's going on?
- 24:43Speaker 4: Well, so I've been dating this guy about eight months now.
- 24:49Speaker 4: And I am at his apartment constantly. But he has
- 24:51Speaker 4: this roommate named Sam who I've literally never met because
- 24:54Speaker 4: apparently he works nights. They're fine, whatever, something. But then
- 24:58Speaker 4: last week, I'm over there alone. And this, like, drop-dead
- 25:03Speaker 4: gorgeous woman walks in. looks at me sitting on the
- 25:06Speaker 4: couch and goes, oh, you must be the girlfriend. Guys,
- 25:10Speaker 4: Sam is Samantha. I did not know that. And Samantha
- 25:15Speaker 4: is not just his roommate. Samantha is his ex-wife.
- 25:19Speaker 15: Oh, wow.
- 25:21Speaker 9: Absolutely not.
- 25:23Speaker 2: There's a couple levels of layers.
- 25:25Speaker 3: Uh-huh.
- 25:26Speaker 4: Uh-huh, yeah. So they got divorced three years ago, but
- 25:31Speaker 4: I guess they couldn't afford to get a place on
- 25:33Speaker 4: their own, so they decided to just like I guess, like,
- 25:36Speaker 4: stay roommates.
- 25:37Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 25:38Speaker 4: They have, like, separate bedrooms, allegedly separate lives, and no
- 25:41Speaker 4: hooking up or whatever. He says, like, they're basically brother
- 25:44Speaker 4: and sister now, which, to me, makes me feel, like, worse, actually, somehow.
- 25:48Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 25:49Speaker 1: It's weird.
- 25:51Speaker 4: But here's the crazy part. She was actually, like, so
- 25:53Speaker 4: nice to me, and I don't know. He said he
- 25:56Speaker 4: didn't tell me because he said it would make it worse, but, like, baby, listen. Like,
- 26:00Speaker 4: you live with your former wife. Like, it came weird, okay?
- 26:03Speaker 15: Right.
- 26:04Speaker 3: Hello.
- 26:05Speaker 4: Like, I'm going to make it weird. I don't think
- 26:07Speaker 4: I can make it weirder than this.
- 26:10Speaker 2: That's right. She said it right. It came weird.
- 26:12Speaker 14: Yeah, it did.
- 26:14Speaker 4: It did. And I really do love him, but I
- 26:19Speaker 4: don't know, like, how am I supposed to trust that
- 26:22Speaker 4: this is, like, genuinely platonic?
- 26:25Speaker 11: Like, for real?
- 26:25Speaker 5: Boy.
- 26:26Speaker 2: I mean, they just introduced a whole lot of baggage
- 26:28Speaker 2: into your world.
- 26:29Speaker 9: I would feel like Sam, a.k.a.
- 26:31Speaker 10: Samantha's reaction when I walk in, like, oh, you're the girlfriend. Like,
- 26:34Speaker 10: to me, it would be like, give me a little
- 26:36Speaker 10: bit more peace of mind. Because if she came in
- 26:38Speaker 10: and was like, who are you? You know, then I
- 26:40Speaker 10: would probably be like, okay, maybe.
- 26:42Speaker 16: But like.
- 26:43Speaker 4: That's a good point.
- 26:44Speaker 2: Yes.
- 26:45Speaker 9: Yes, totally. But it's kind of like, is it a
- 26:47Speaker 9: little condescending? Oh, you're the girlfriend.
- 26:49Speaker 11: Right.
- 26:50Speaker 9: I guess it depends how.
- 26:51Speaker 8: She said it.
- 26:51Speaker 9: It depends how.
- 26:53Speaker 13: She said it.
- 26:54Speaker 3: How did she say it? Well, you said something that
- 26:56Speaker 3: I have to follow up on. So you said, I
- 26:58Speaker 3: love him. Like, do you really love him? I do. Okay.
- 27:01Speaker 4: I really do. Like, he's pretty special, but... I, I mean,
- 27:04Speaker 4: this is a lot to take in and that I
- 27:07Speaker 4: was not expecting.
- 27:09Speaker 3: Okay. So you love him, but now you find out
- 27:11Speaker 3: that his roommate is his beautiful ex-wife. Is that a
- 27:14Speaker 3: deal breaker or can you live with it?
- 27:17Speaker 4: Um, I mean, it would have.
- 27:20Speaker 11: Been nice to know, uh, that Sam was Samantha and
- 27:24Speaker 11: his ex-wife and you know, that's eight months, long time
- 27:28Speaker 11: for that stuff.
- 27:30Speaker 4: Um, I don't think it's a deal breaker, but I
- 27:33Speaker 4: don't think I feel very comfortable with it.
- 27:36Speaker 3: You know what you just remind me of? You just
- 27:37Speaker 3: gave me an idea of, like, if we were to
- 27:39Speaker 3: make this a segment and we've got, like, Kanye tickets online. Yeah. Like,
- 27:42Speaker 3: the way she just said, it would have been nice
- 27:43Speaker 3: to know.
- 27:44Speaker 2: There you go.
- 27:46Speaker 3: That's what it goes. It would have been nice to know.
- 27:48Speaker 2: Before I got too involved with this person. It would
- 27:51Speaker 2: have been nice to know. Yeah, here's what I think
- 27:53Speaker 2: is the win, that you said she was beautiful, too.
- 27:55Speaker 2: That means that.
- 27:56Speaker 4: Oh, my God. Like, I'm talking, like, she could be
- 27:58Speaker 4: on the cover of a magazine.
- 28:00Speaker 11: Like, my.
- 28:01Speaker 6: She has good taste.
- 28:03Speaker 4: I mean.
- 28:04Speaker 3: He chose you.
- 28:04Speaker 4: Okay, I'll take that.
- 28:05Speaker 3: Because he chose you.
- 28:06Speaker 4: That's nice.
- 28:07Speaker 2: Is the new version. I think that's great, too. All
- 28:10Speaker 2: these are okay.
- 28:10Speaker 3: Would have been nice to know.
- 28:11Speaker 4: That definitely makes me feel a lot better. Thank you
- 28:14Speaker 4: for that. I didn't think of that. I was like, oh,
- 28:16Speaker 4: my God, she's so pretty.
- 28:17Speaker 6: Why is he with me?
- 28:18Speaker 3: I see you like sitting on the bed. You're sitting
- 28:20Speaker 3: on the edge of the bed talking to him and
- 28:21Speaker 3: there's this beautiful woman out in the living room and
- 28:23Speaker 3: you're like, you know, yeah, I know she's great. Would
- 28:24Speaker 3: have been nice to know that you are, that's your ex-wife.
- 28:28Speaker 11: I'm fine.
- 28:28Speaker 3: I'm fine. When you call into our show, make sure
- 28:32Speaker 3: you use that phrase just like this.
- 28:33Speaker 2: Would have been nice to know.
- 28:34Speaker 3: When you describe it. Vicki, thanks for calling in.
- 28:37Speaker 4: Thank you. Thanks so much. I feel a lot better now.
- 28:40Speaker 4: Thanks guys.
- 28:41Speaker 3: We got Kanye tickets on the line. Tell us that
- 28:43Speaker 3: like what you're in a relationship and a bomb is dropped.
- 28:46Speaker 3: Would have been nice to know. Would have been nice
- 28:48Speaker 3: to know. Jessica, we want to hear from you. We
- 28:50Speaker 3: got Kanye West tickets on the line. What's your story?
- 28:54Speaker 6: So I found out that my boyfriend's mom is in
- 28:58Speaker 6: a group chat with all of her sisters. So like
- 29:02Speaker 6: his aunts and like all the girls in the family
- 29:05Speaker 6: where they rate all my outfits and discuss like whether
- 29:10Speaker 6: I'm wife material. Like it, It's real weird, but I'll
- 29:15Speaker 6: tell you the way I found out is my boyfriend
- 29:19Speaker 6: is also in the group chat. Isn't that fun?
- 29:22Speaker 9: Is he participating? He's also rating your outfits to see
- 29:25Speaker 9: if you're marriage material?
- 29:27Speaker 1: No.
- 29:28Speaker 9: Okay, good. He's just like a fly on the wall.
- 29:30Speaker 9: He's like harding the ants that he agrees with. They're like,
- 29:33Speaker 9: we just put you on here so you know.
- 29:36Speaker 3: But still.
- 29:38Speaker 2: How are you doing so far in the ratings?
- 29:39Speaker 3: Do they like you?
- 29:40Speaker 2: Your outfits?
- 29:41Speaker 6: I mean, I'm just like averaging a three out of five,
- 29:44Speaker 6: I think.
- 29:44Speaker 2: It's not bad.
- 29:45Speaker 9: Oh, that's not great.
- 29:47Speaker 3: So what would have been nice to know doesn't fit here,
- 29:49Speaker 3: does it? Would have been nice to know. Like, he's
- 29:51Speaker 3: not going to go like, hey, I'm going to take
- 29:52Speaker 3: out the dinner. By the way, from now on, my
- 29:54Speaker 3: whole family is going to rate your outfits. All right.
- 29:56Speaker 9: They're not going to say that.
- 29:57Speaker 3: That is, yeah, one that is dropped. Yeah.
- 30:00Speaker 2: But I mean, they are rating her to see if
- 30:01Speaker 2: she's wifey material.
- 30:03Speaker 9: This one's kind of like, not nice to know.
- 30:05Speaker 3: Is it a deal breaker or can you live with it?
- 30:09Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 30:09Speaker 15: Hmm.
- 30:11Speaker 3: Well, we're going to need you to make a decision.
- 30:12Speaker 9: We're debating.
- 30:16Speaker 3: Do they like your outfits? Are you marriage material? So
- 30:18Speaker 3: what's the result?
- 30:20Speaker 2: She said three out of five.
- 30:21Speaker 6: I just think it's weird for them to be talking
- 30:22Speaker 6: about me.
- 30:24Speaker 3: You think that you're going to be dating somebody and
- 30:26Speaker 3: the family's not going to talk about you? They have to.
- 30:28Speaker 3: That's what you do.
- 30:29Speaker 6: Okay, but it's like so, is overt the right word?
- 30:32Speaker 6: Like it's just so out in the open like that.
- 30:34Speaker 6: It's so, I don't know. It's weird to see it
- 30:36Speaker 6: in writing.
- 30:37Speaker 2: Well, then maybe you need to get together with your
- 30:38Speaker 2: uncles and find out if this guy's husband material.
- 30:41Speaker 1: I love it. Yes.
- 30:43Speaker 6: That is so creepy.
- 30:44Speaker 3: I love it. All right, Jessica, thanks for calling in.
- 30:48Speaker 8: Thanks.
- 30:51Speaker 3: 877-937-1047. You're in a relationship, okay? A month, a year,
- 30:56Speaker 3: 10 years. You found something out. Would have been nice
- 30:59Speaker 3: to know beforehand. What was the bomb that was dropped?
- 31:02Speaker 3: We got Kanye West tickets. More of your calls next
- 31:04Speaker 3: with John Jay Rich. Oh, my goodness. It's John Jay Rich,
- 31:12Speaker 3: KISS FM. Wednesday, September 16th. It would have been nice
- 31:18Speaker 3: to know. It would have been nice to know. Before
- 31:21Speaker 3: you got in this relationship, like a bomb was dropped
- 31:24Speaker 3: on you. Sarah.
- 31:28Speaker 9: Good morning.
- 31:29Speaker 3: Good morning. We got some Kanye tickets for this, Sarah.
- 31:31Speaker 3: What's your story?
- 31:33Speaker 16: Well, it would have been nice to know that my
- 31:36Speaker 16: ex had spent time in prison for legitimate enterprises and
- 31:40Speaker 16: conspiracies before he manipulated me into his schemes.
- 31:47Speaker 13: Nice hold on my microphone's not working that would have
- 31:50Speaker 13: been nice to know it would have been nice he
- 31:52Speaker 13: manipulated you so you got he got you in the
- 31:55Speaker 13: the the stuff that got him in trouble he did
- 31:59Speaker 13: like what'd you do.
- 32:01Speaker 7: Well um so he would like he had all kinds
- 32:05Speaker 7: of fake businesses so he presented himself as like this
- 32:08Speaker 7: legitimate businessman and he had all of these businesses and
- 32:12Speaker 7: he sold cars and he did all this stuff so
- 32:14Speaker 7: i was helping him do all of his books do
- 32:16Speaker 7: all of this.
- 32:17Speaker 16: Stuff come to find out he's just taking all this
- 32:19Speaker 16: money from people and flipping it into other things and
- 32:22Speaker 16: never fulfilling his responsibilities with everybody else so they would
- 32:26Speaker 16: call me and be like hey i bought this from
- 32:27Speaker 16: him and i'm like i have no idea what is going.
- 32:30Speaker 3: On okay so you were working for him legitimately but
- 32:33Speaker 3: he was doing bad things.
- 32:36Speaker 15: Right.
- 32:37Speaker 16: I don't know if working is the right word because
- 32:39Speaker 16: I never got anything.
- 32:40Speaker 3: Out of it.
- 32:41Speaker 2: I guess neither did the customers. But I mean, if
- 32:43Speaker 2: he'd worked that hard on that, he could have just
- 32:45Speaker 2: been a legit businessman and done fine. Sounds like he
- 32:48Speaker 2: was hustling.
- 32:48Speaker 11: Right.
- 32:48Speaker 16: But then he gave me a fake name. Everything was fake.
- 32:52Speaker 16: So I didn't know this until like 10 months later
- 32:54Speaker 16: when I started snooping around and I was like.
- 32:57Speaker 1: Wait a minute.
- 32:58Speaker 3: Okay, wait a second.
- 32:58Speaker 16: You're not who you say you are.
- 33:00Speaker 3: For 10 minutes, for 10 months, you called him a
- 33:02Speaker 3: different name than his real name he gave you?
- 33:04Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 33:05Speaker 3: So what was the name you were calling him?
- 33:08Speaker 1: Michael.
- 33:08Speaker 3: And what's his real name?
- 33:10Speaker 6: Charles.
- 33:11Speaker 9: Wow.
- 33:15Speaker 2: Did he say, you said he gave you a fake name?
- 33:17Speaker 2: What was your fake name?
- 33:20Speaker 16: Well, when I would talk to the people, he would
- 33:22Speaker 16: always tell them, your name is Megan.
- 33:24Speaker 1: And I was like, well, that's weird.
- 33:25Speaker 3: But okay. Okay, Sarah, hold on a line. That's a
- 33:28Speaker 3: good one. That's a good one. That's crazy. Ariel, what's
- 33:31Speaker 3: a relationship bomb, by the way? What's a relationship bomb
- 33:33Speaker 3: that happened to you? It would have been nice to know.
- 33:36Speaker 10: Good morning.
- 33:37Speaker 5: It would have been nice to know. I was married
- 33:41Speaker 5: and it didn't work out. And I was separated. And
- 33:45Speaker 5: right at the beginning of our separation, so we share
- 33:47Speaker 5: a child together. And right at the beginning of our separation,
- 33:52Speaker 5: obviously he moved out. And I was trying to coordinate like, hey,
- 33:57Speaker 5: we need to coordinate picking up and dropping off of
- 34:01Speaker 5: like our son.
- 34:02Speaker 6: And he's like, oh, by the way, I moved to Hawaii.
- 34:06Speaker 4: I was like, that would be nice to know.
- 34:11Speaker 9: He just packed up and left.
- 34:12Speaker 2: It's going to be hard to pick up the kids
- 34:15Speaker 2: on a Wednesday.
- 34:15Speaker 9: He's trying to co-parent. No, you moved to a whole
- 34:18Speaker 9: different state.
- 34:19Speaker 5: He wanted to do 50-50 custody from Hawaii and Arizona.
- 34:23Speaker 5: I'm like, that doesn't really work.
- 34:25Speaker 3: That's a good one, Ariel. Brittany was like, whoa, I
- 34:29Speaker 3: got the best one ever. What do you got, Brittany?
- 34:32Speaker 7: Okay, so.
- 34:34Speaker 15: I fell in love with a guy, and we had
- 34:37Speaker 15: a great romance, and he had four kids from a
- 34:41Speaker 15: previous relationship, his ex-wife, and I was super involved in
- 34:45Speaker 15: their life. And, I mean, we had them four to
- 34:48Speaker 15: five days a week in our home.
- 34:50Speaker 5: Everything was great.
- 34:51Speaker 15: Me and the ex-wife got along great, everything. Right before
- 34:55Speaker 15: our wedding, I was looking at some paperwork inside our
- 34:58Speaker 15: house while he was at work, and I found five
- 35:02Speaker 15: Social Security numbers.
- 35:04Speaker 9: Not four.
- 35:05Speaker 15: So it would have been nice to know you had
- 35:09Speaker 15: another child out there. And it turns out that child
- 35:13Speaker 15: lived right down the street from where we were at.
- 35:16Speaker 15: And he just, So, but then it gets worse. So
- 35:21Speaker 15: we obviously went our separate ways and, you know, we
- 35:25Speaker 15: called the wedding off and everything else. Well, I thought
- 35:28Speaker 15: later on in life, like 10 years now that maybe
- 35:32Speaker 15: I missed out on something that could have been great.
- 35:34Speaker 15: And maybe that was just this one thing that was bad.
- 35:37Speaker 15: So I actually looked him up and found them and
- 35:40Speaker 15: we got like talking and everything. And we went out
- 35:44Speaker 15: to dinner and started kind of dating again. So six
- 35:47Speaker 15: months into us dating again, he's like, by the way,
- 35:52Speaker 15: I need to tell you something. And I'm like, oh,
- 35:56Speaker 15: it's not going to be as bad as me finding
- 35:57Speaker 15: the social security number, is it? And I was kind
- 36:00Speaker 15: of joking. And he was like, oh, yeah, about that.
- 36:05Speaker 15: And I was like, you've got to be kidding me.
- 36:07Speaker 15: He was like, so I didn't exactly have another kid.
- 36:11Speaker 15: I actually had two other kids.
- 36:14Speaker 3: Oh.
- 36:15Speaker 15: So at the same time that his ex-wife was pregnant
- 36:18Speaker 15: with their first child, he had two other women pregnant, too.
- 36:22Speaker 15: So his first child, he had three women pregnant at
- 36:25Speaker 15: the same time. So he actually not only had another
- 36:28Speaker 15: daughter that I didn't know, he had a son that
- 36:31Speaker 15: I didn't know either.
- 36:32Speaker 3: Was that a deal breaker? Did you stay with him?
- 36:35Speaker 14: Oh, my gosh.
- 36:36Speaker 15: He lied to me the first time. And you think
- 36:39Speaker 15: we're getting back together? This would be something you tell
- 36:41Speaker 15: me right at the beginning. But he waited another six
- 36:45Speaker 15: months to tell me there's another kid out there.
- 36:47Speaker 3: I think he was probably trying to get you pregnant too.
- 36:49Speaker 3: Did it not work? Did you have a kid with him?
- 36:52Speaker 15: No, I don't have any kids with them.
- 36:54Speaker 11: Oh, wow.
- 36:54Speaker 3: Touched a bullet. Sounds like that's what he's trying to do.
- 36:56Speaker 15: No, it's, I actually, he went with me. I had
- 37:00Speaker 15: cancer at the time when we got together. And I
- 37:02Speaker 15: thought when I had it, cause I couldn't have any
- 37:05Speaker 15: kids that what a great daddy was. He was so
- 37:08Speaker 15: good with his kids.
- 37:09Speaker 3: I mean, got a lot of experience.
- 37:11Speaker 15: Top notch.
- 37:12Speaker 17: Yeah, exactly.
- 37:13Speaker 15: Top notch father. And that's what me one of the
- 37:16Speaker 15: things that made me fall in love with him. And
- 37:18Speaker 15: then not only that, but I was just these kids
- 37:20Speaker 15: are just amazing. You know, they just love their dad
- 37:23Speaker 15: and everything. But to find out that he got to play,
- 37:26Speaker 15: he paid, he like played like, oh, I'll deal with
- 37:29Speaker 15: these kids, but I won't deal with these kids. You
- 37:31Speaker 15: know what I'm saying?
- 37:32Speaker 4: That's not right.
- 37:33Speaker 15: You don't get to pick and choose.
- 37:35Speaker 3: Sometimes the kids get annoyed.
- 37:36Speaker 2: We all have our favorites.
- 37:37Speaker 7: One of the kids lived like two miles away from
- 37:42Speaker 7: us and.
- 37:42Speaker 15: We never saw her. That's what's bad about it.
- 37:46Speaker 3: Okay, Brittany. That's a good one.
- 37:47Speaker 4: Hold on.
- 37:48Speaker 3: Hold on a second. Okay. We got to give some
- 37:52Speaker 3: Kanye tickets away. Who would you give them to? Well,
- 37:55Speaker 3: you got Sarah there. What was Sarah's story?
- 37:57Speaker 9: The prison scammer.
- 37:58Speaker 3: Oh, come on.
- 37:58Speaker 9: That's so good.
- 38:00Speaker 3: Sarah, I forgot. Are you the prison scammer?
- 38:03Speaker 8: Yes, sir.
- 38:04Speaker 3: Oh, okay. Or Megan. You can call her whatever you want.
- 38:08Speaker 6: Good.
- 38:09Speaker 3: So you want to go see Kanye West?
- 38:12Speaker 16: I sure do.
- 38:12Speaker 3: You got him. Congratulations.
- 38:15Speaker 4: Enjoy.
- 38:16Speaker 7: Thank you.
- 38:17Speaker 8: Yay.
- 38:17Speaker 3: So being scammed and manipulated by a guy who ended
- 38:20Speaker 3: up turning out okay. Just don't take him to Kanye
- 38:22Speaker 3: with you.
- 38:24Speaker 16: Oh, hell no. He's gone.
- 38:26Speaker 2: We never asked her if she was still with him.
- 38:28Speaker 3: Remember? So at least he's gone.
- 38:30Speaker 2: That's good.
- 38:31Speaker 15: He's gone.
- 38:32Speaker 3: Okay. All right. Thank you, Sarah. Hold on the line.
- 38:34Speaker 3: We do need to contest for a minute to win it. 877-937-1047.
- 38:38Speaker 3: We also, it's National Joke Day today, so we've been
- 38:41Speaker 3: sprinkling jokes throughout the show. Tanya, you got a joke?
- 38:46Speaker 7: Hi, John D.
- 38:47Speaker 11: Yes, I do.
- 38:48Speaker 3: What's your joke?
- 38:50Speaker 11: So I saw your post on Facebook, and I was like,
- 38:53Speaker 11: I'm going to go on TikTok because you'll have little
- 38:55Speaker 11: cows tell jokes back and forth to each other.
- 38:57Speaker 17: So he says.
- 39:00Speaker 6: Hey, he goes, why do Mexicans hate protein drinks? And
- 39:05Speaker 6: the other little cow, he.
- 39:06Speaker 11: Goes, why?
- 39:07Speaker 3: And then he says....
- 39:09Speaker 15: No, no.
- 39:10Speaker 4: What do they call a Mexican?
- 39:11Speaker 6: I messed it up.
- 39:12Speaker 3: Sorry.
- 39:12Speaker 4: He said, what do you call a Mexican who hates
- 39:14Speaker 4: protein drinks?
- 39:15Speaker 1: And he says, I don't know why.
- 39:16Speaker 4: And he goes, no way, Jose.
- 39:18Speaker 2: No way, Jose. No way.
- 39:20Speaker 3: What a great Mexican joke. Great Mexican joke on Mexican
- 39:25Speaker 3: Independence Day today. Today's Mexican Independence Day.
- 39:27Speaker 11: Yeah, I did. It was one of those wop, wop,
- 39:28Speaker 11: wop jokes, but it was hilarious.
- 39:31Speaker 3: Well, thank you, Tanya. Thanks for listening.
- 39:33Speaker 2: Really got her.
- 39:36Speaker 1: Thank you, guys.
- 39:37Speaker 11: Have a good day.
- 39:37Speaker 3: Thank you. Here's a text that just came in. It says,
- 39:41Speaker 3: it would have been nice to know my boyfriend was
- 39:44Speaker 3: sleeping with my sister.
- 39:45Speaker 2: Oh, God.
- 39:49Speaker 9: That's actually not very nice to know.
- 39:52Speaker 2: I mean, you want to know, though.
- 39:53Speaker 9: Your sister, your blood.
- 39:56Speaker 3: Someone's texting in a joke. How much does a rainbow weigh?
- 39:59Speaker 3: How much? Not much. It's pretty light. What do you
- 40:06Speaker 3: call a cow with no legs?
- 40:08Speaker 10: What?
- 40:08Speaker 3: Ground beef. Oh, that's a sad joke. We got a
- 40:16Speaker 3: minute to win it. We also got Magic Words free
- 40:18Speaker 3: Disney tickets coming up in about 30 minutes. An hour
- 40:21Speaker 3: from now, we got Harry Styles tickets. Harry Styles is
- 40:26Speaker 3: in the news big time. We're getting into that, too,
- 40:27Speaker 3: in about 20 minutes or so. But right now, we're
- 40:30Speaker 3: going to play Minute to Win It. We got our contestant.
- 40:32Speaker 3: We got $ 1, 000 of Pat Hickey's money. Pat Hickey's the
- 40:35Speaker 3: owner and the general manager of Peoria Ford. He gave
- 40:37Speaker 3: us $ 1, 000 about a year and a half ago to
- 40:39Speaker 3: give away. And it's taken forever. We gave it away
- 40:42Speaker 3: one time. We're hopefully going to give it away here
- 40:43Speaker 3: again to Gale. Good morning, Gail. How are you? What
- 40:48Speaker 3: are you doing right now? Where are you?
- 40:49Speaker 16: I'm driving to work.
- 40:53Speaker 3: Where do you work, Gail? What part of town? What
- 40:54Speaker 3: do you do for a living?
- 40:57Speaker 5: I'm in HR, and I work for a school district
- 41:00Speaker 5: in Queen Creek.
- 41:01Speaker 3: All right. Here's your chance at $ 1, 000.
- 41:03Speaker 10: John Jay and Rich have $ 1, 000 cash for you from
- 41:06Speaker 10: Peoria Ford right now.
- 41:08Speaker 3: Minute to win it.
- 41:10Speaker 2: All right, here we go, Gail. 60 seconds on the clock.
- 41:12Speaker 2: You rock this. We give you $ 1, 000. No passes. You
- 41:15Speaker 2: just got to get 10 in a row. Are you ready, Gail?
- 41:19Speaker 4: Okay.
- 41:19Speaker 2: Here we go.
- 41:20Speaker 3: Yes.
- 41:21Speaker 2: What fast food chain is known for the Butter Burger?
- 41:28Speaker 3: Culver's.
- 41:29Speaker 2: Which U.S. state is known as the Peach State?
- 41:34Speaker 3: Georgia.
- 41:34Speaker 1: Curling.
- 41:34Speaker 8: Tennis.
- 41:35Speaker 11: So, um.
- 41:35Speaker 3: Uh, uh....
- 42:02Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, I know this.
- 42:03Speaker 2: You're starting to say it.
- 42:07Speaker 3: Come on.
- 42:11Speaker 18: Huh?
- 42:11Speaker 2: You started to say it, right.
- 42:13Speaker 4: I know this.
- 42:18Speaker 2: The imaginary line that divides the Earth into northern and
- 42:21Speaker 2: southern hemispheres. And you're out of time. You started to
- 42:28Speaker 2: say the equator. That is the answer we were looking for.
- 42:34Speaker 2: You had a false like check swing there and then
- 42:36Speaker 2: you pulled back.
- 42:39Speaker 4: Oh, I was rocking it at first though.
- 42:41Speaker 3: Yes, ma'am. You sure were. All right, Gail. We're going
- 42:46Speaker 3: to set you up though with a gift card to
- 42:48Speaker 3: Del Taco. Thanks for playing.
- 42:51Speaker 8: Oh, I love Del Taco.
- 42:51Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 42:52Speaker 1: You got to hold on the line.
- 42:54Speaker 3: We will set you up. You're not going to believe
- 42:58Speaker 3: this guy's in the news for doing something. While driving.
- 43:01Speaker 3: We're going to get into that. 877-937-1047. Want to know
- 43:04Speaker 3: the strangest or craziest thing you've seen someone do while driving?
- 43:09Speaker 3: And I'll explain that in a second. First, a woman
- 43:11Speaker 3: on TikTok is warning parents about a pumpkin decoration. This
- 43:15Speaker 3: decoration is called Jabberin' Jack. Have you seen it yet?
- 43:18Speaker 3: I have not. So it looks like a real, it's
- 43:21Speaker 3: a giant, a normal-sized pumpkin. And you put it at
- 43:23Speaker 3: your front door. And the kids come up to trick-or-treat.
- 43:27Speaker 3: And then this is what it does. Listen, I'm going
- 43:28Speaker 3: to show you a thought. Who wants to be wicked
- 43:30Speaker 3: for one night?
- 43:32Speaker 8: A kiss for you.
- 43:34Speaker 3: And it tastes like pumpkin pie.
- 43:36Speaker 14: We'll be wicked for one night. Morbid and nefarious. And
- 43:45Speaker 14: when the sun goes down. Till morning it will just
- 43:52Speaker 14: be us.
- 43:56Speaker 1: How would you like to scream all night?
- 44:00Speaker 3: I'll fill you full of fright.
- 44:04Speaker 1: Guide you in the darkest deeds.
- 44:06Speaker 3: And spoil you with my roasted pumpkin seeds. That's what
- 44:15Speaker 3: the heck?
- 44:16Speaker 1: Right?
- 44:17Speaker 19: Ew.
- 44:17Speaker 2: Yuck.
- 44:18Speaker 9: Just the wrong kind of creepy.
- 44:20Speaker 3: And that's for sale somewhere? The company says it was
- 44:24Speaker 3: meant to be humorous, but they're going to cut it
- 44:25Speaker 3: from future versions, but. It's weird how you would make
- 44:28Speaker 3: it like that because, I mean, who comes to your
- 44:30Speaker 3: door to trick or treat? Kids. So why are you
- 44:32Speaker 3: doing this weird perverted thing? Anyway. Ew. Yuck.
- 44:36Speaker 9: I don't like jabbering jack.
- 44:37Speaker 3: Yeah. 22-year-old man in Florida crashed his truck on Sunday
- 44:41Speaker 3: morning trying to put on underarm deodorant. So I thought,
- 44:47Speaker 3: real quick, 877-937-1047, what's like the strangest thing you've seen
- 44:52Speaker 3: someone do while driving? Because as soon as I read
- 44:54Speaker 3: that story, I immediately thought, it was like I had
- 44:56Speaker 3: a montage in my head of the things I've seen
- 44:58Speaker 3: people do while driving. But nobody was hurt. The driver
- 45:02Speaker 3: was not arrested, but he was cited for careless driving.
- 45:04Speaker 3: And I'm trying to think. He was probably driving, right?
- 45:07Speaker 3: I'm assuming he had his shirt on. So he probably
- 45:09Speaker 3: lifted up his shirt, trying to hold the steering wheel,
- 45:12Speaker 3: and then put the underarm deodorant, and then crash, right?
- 45:14Speaker 2: There used to be a guy that I would see
- 45:16Speaker 2: at the same light, maybe three times in a row,
- 45:18Speaker 2: that was using an electric razor. But I couldn't get
- 45:22Speaker 2: a picture because we go to work at dark 30
- 45:23Speaker 2: in the morning. But he was using his electric razor.
- 45:25Speaker 2: And I guess if you're doing that, you can feel
- 45:28Speaker 2: where you've shaved. You don't have to really see it.
- 45:30Speaker 3: Well, I was going to say, I saw a guy
- 45:31Speaker 3: shaving with an old school razor. Oh, like at a
- 45:34Speaker 3: red light. Like shaving cream? Like shaving cream.
- 45:36Speaker 1: Oh.
- 45:36Speaker 3: He had shaving cream on his face and he was
- 45:38Speaker 3: shaving at a red light.
- 45:39Speaker 9: Like a bowl of water in the front seat?
- 45:41Speaker 3: I don't know how he did it. I could only
- 45:43Speaker 3: see the shaving cream here. I saw another guy at
- 45:45Speaker 3: a red light. That's kicking it old school. I saw
- 45:47Speaker 3: another guy at a red light and he had drumsticks
- 45:49Speaker 3: and he was drumming on the steering wheel.
- 45:50Speaker 19: Wow.
- 45:51Speaker 3: Right and his practicing i personally and i've learned through
- 45:54Speaker 3: my mistakes tried to eat a burrito while driving that's
- 45:57Speaker 3: very difficult very difficult i also tried to drink out
- 45:59Speaker 3: of a blender while driving that's very difficult.
- 46:01Speaker 2: That really uh obscures your uh vision doesn't it when
- 46:04Speaker 2: you put the blender blender's pretty.
- 46:05Speaker 3: High you put the blender up it covers up your
- 46:07Speaker 3: you're up to your forehead you needed a.
- 46:08Speaker 12: Straw i've like fully changed like clothes yes like what
- 46:14Speaker 12: do you mean fully.
- 46:15Speaker 9: I was like Going from work to workout. So I
- 46:18Speaker 9: had to change into like workout clothes from regular clothes.
- 46:21Speaker 9: That's tight.
- 46:23Speaker 15: I know.
- 46:24Speaker 9: The leggings were tough.
- 46:25Speaker 3: At what point were you the most vulnerable? Like where
- 46:29Speaker 3: were you?
- 46:30Speaker 9: Like on the freeway?
- 46:31Speaker 3: No, but I mean clothing-wise. Were you naked?
- 46:33Speaker 9: Well, putting the sports bra on.
- 46:34Speaker 3: Okay, so what if you got pulled over right then
- 46:36Speaker 3: and there?
- 46:36Speaker 9: That would have been terrible.
- 46:37Speaker 3: Because right then and there, because then you think about it,
- 46:39Speaker 3: if you have your bra off and the cop's got
- 46:41Speaker 3: the lights on, he's seen you do something now. So
- 46:43Speaker 3: now he's got to come to the car with his
- 46:46Speaker 3: hand on his weapon. Put your hands on the steering wheel, ma'am.
- 46:49Speaker 3: Put your hands on the steering wheel. They all got
- 46:51Speaker 3: cams now. You're like topless with your hands on the
- 46:53Speaker 3: steering wheel. What about you, Gus? Gus, what is the
- 46:56Speaker 3: craziest thing you've seen while driving?
- 46:58Speaker 1: Hey, what's up, brother? So I was out on my
- 47:00Speaker 1: motorcycle one day and you know, like when you're on
- 47:03Speaker 1: a bike, you're supposed to stay to like either one
- 47:05Speaker 1: side or the other side of the lane. You're not
- 47:06Speaker 1: supposed to ride in the middle. So I'm on the
- 47:09Speaker 1: left side of the lane and I'm just cruising. Not really,
- 47:13Speaker 1: you know, I'm in a mode. I'm just cruising in
- 47:15Speaker 1: this car that was behind me just kind of comes
- 47:18Speaker 1: up and basically passes me at maybe like two or
- 47:21Speaker 1: three miles an hour faster than me. And I noticed
- 47:25Speaker 1: that she is just straight up reading the book. She's
- 47:30Speaker 1: just reading a book and she had no clue that
- 47:33Speaker 1: she was passing me. And I smashed on the I
- 47:36Speaker 1: like punch the window like sideways. And she like woke
- 47:39Speaker 1: up from that. And then, oh, like had the OS moment.
- 47:42Speaker 1: You know what I mean? The craziest part about it
- 47:46Speaker 1: was she had this cool contraption that was attached to
- 47:49Speaker 1: her steering wheel that held her book for her.
- 47:52Speaker 3: They make something? I wonder what book it was.
- 47:54Speaker 10: It must have been really good for her to not
- 47:56Speaker 10: be able to put that book together.
- 47:57Speaker 9: Or she was like really trying to catch up for
- 48:00Speaker 9: book club. Yeah, or maybe she had like class. She
- 48:03Speaker 9: had to really get it together.
- 48:04Speaker 2: Why would you make something for a steering wheel to
- 48:07Speaker 2: distract you from driving?
- 48:09Speaker 3: That much.
- 48:10Speaker 1: Thank you, Rich. Thank you. I was thinking the same thing. Like,
- 48:13Speaker 1: who invented that thing that holds the book for you
- 48:16Speaker 1: so you can read while you're driving?
- 48:17Speaker 2: I've seen the things that do laptops, but I believe
- 48:19Speaker 2: you're supposed to be parked when you're doing your car
- 48:23Speaker 2: seat as an office.
- 48:24Speaker 3: All right, Gus, so one time I was driving in.
- 48:26Speaker 1: I'm just glad. I'm sorry, go ahead.
- 48:28Speaker 3: No, no, you go. You're just glad. I'm glad, too.
- 48:30Speaker 1: Well, I was going to say, I'm just glad that
- 48:33Speaker 1: I paid attention to the rules of riding on the
- 48:35Speaker 1: side of the lane, because if I was in the middle,
- 48:37Speaker 1: she would have just went right into me.
- 48:39Speaker 3: I was driving into work one time and I got
- 48:40Speaker 3: at a red light and the car, I parked behind
- 48:43Speaker 3: the car, you know, stopped behind the car in front
- 48:46Speaker 3: of me. Light turned green. I waited. I didn't want
- 48:49Speaker 3: to honk. I waited. Light turned yellow. Light turned red.
- 48:52Speaker 3: Light turned green. Car never moved. So I get out
- 48:55Speaker 3: of my car and I walk over and the person's.
- 48:58Speaker 3: head is on the steering wheel, right? Like this, and
- 49:01Speaker 3: I was like, oh my God, and I nod, and
- 49:03Speaker 3: they go, oh, sorry, I fell asleep.
- 49:06Speaker 19: I'm glad their foot stayed on the brake.
- 49:12Speaker 10: Not the place for a nappy.
- 49:15Speaker 3: All right, Gus, have a great day.
- 49:18Speaker 1: Can I say something else real quick?
- 49:19Speaker 3: I'm sorry.
- 49:19Speaker 1: You guys, before you were talking about shows that ended
- 49:22Speaker 1: on a cliffhanger and then got canceled.
- 49:23Speaker 3: Yes.
- 49:24Speaker 1: Did you guys ever watch that show Messiah on Netflix?
- 49:27Speaker 3: Yeah, I saw season one where the guy might be Jesus.
- 49:31Speaker 1: And then all of a sudden they're like, now we're
- 49:32Speaker 1: not making a season two.
- 49:33Speaker 3: Forget about it. Cause you couldn't tell if he was
- 49:36Speaker 3: a fraud or not.
- 49:37Speaker 19: Right.
- 49:37Speaker 3: That's how it was. Right.
- 49:38Speaker 1: Right.
- 49:38Speaker 18: Right.
- 49:38Speaker 1: But then that last scene, I don't want to give
- 49:41Speaker 1: out if anybody's going to watch it. The last scene
- 49:42Speaker 1: kind of was like, Oh look, he is. And then
- 49:45Speaker 1: we're waiting for season two.
- 49:46Speaker 3: Now, you know, what's funny is I told a friend
- 49:49Speaker 3: of mine to watch that show. And he got so
- 49:51Speaker 3: mad at me at the end because you didn't have
- 49:53Speaker 3: an answer and there's no season two. Like, that's so
- 49:55Speaker 3: funny that you brought that up.
- 49:56Speaker 2: Thank God the New Testament has better closure, Gus.
- 49:58Speaker 3: Thanks, Gus. Check it out. All right, guys, have a
- 50:01Speaker 3: good one.
- 50:01Speaker 2: Not while you're driving, though. Don't read it while you're driving.
- 50:03Speaker 3: Speaking of TV, comedian Joe Coy dropped a comedy special yesterday.
- 50:06Speaker 3: I watched the whole thing. It's really funny. The guy
- 50:09Speaker 3: is a fantastic comedian.
- 50:11Speaker 2: On Netflix?
- 50:12Speaker 3: On Netflix, yeah. Also, what else did I watch that
- 50:14Speaker 3: came out yesterday? Slow Horses, new episode, season five came
- 50:18Speaker 3: out yesterday. And I was telling Kyle, the other day
- 50:20Speaker 3: I was talking about this show on Apple TV called,
- 50:23Speaker 3: what's it called? Last Scene.
- 50:23Speaker 8: Last Scene.
- 50:24Speaker 3: Where it's about a girl, a little girl that goes missing.
- 50:27Speaker 3: And I was like, oh, it doesn't look, I watched
- 50:28Speaker 3: the first episode and then they did a preview for
- 50:30Speaker 3: the upcoming season. I didn't think it looked good. But
- 50:33Speaker 3: I ended up watching the second episode and I'm doing
- 50:36Speaker 3: a 180. It's fantastic.
- 50:37Speaker 2: Oh, really?
- 50:37Speaker 3: It's fantastic. Yeah. And then I saw a thing on
- 50:39Speaker 3: Instagram afterwards that said, Right now, it's got the world captivated.
- 50:43Speaker 3: It's a thriller that has the world captivated. But there's
- 50:46Speaker 3: only two episodes.
- 50:46Speaker 2: Sure, because they're doing it week by week.
- 50:48Speaker 3: Because the second episode, I was like, whoa, I need
- 50:51Speaker 3: the third episode now. Third episode comes out today. So
- 50:53Speaker 3: does Ted Lasso. So does the season finale of Jack
- 50:56Speaker 3: Reacher comes out today. And then, if you remember the
- 50:59Speaker 3: first four seasons of Jack Reacher, he's got his partner, Neegly.
- 51:01Speaker 3: Do you remember Neegly?
- 51:03Speaker 15: Oh, yeah, Neely.
- 51:04Speaker 3: Neely, Neely.
- 51:04Speaker 9: They have a spinoff show of her, right?
- 51:06Speaker 3: It drops today. And they're dropping everything today. like all
- 51:10Speaker 3: eight episodes today.
- 51:11Speaker 9: Oh, that's nice. I don't like, I like this new show.
- 51:14Speaker 12: Last scene, I watched 20 minutes of the first episode
- 51:17Speaker 12: and I already like it, but it's like kind of
- 51:20Speaker 12: annoying that I'm going to have to remember to watch
- 51:21Speaker 12: it every week because I'm already, I think five shows
- 51:24Speaker 12: behind on Ted Lasso.
- 51:26Speaker 3: Oh yeah. You're a lot behind on Ted Lasso. Today's
- 51:28Speaker 3: also a national joke day. Kelly, you got a joke.
- 51:31Speaker 11: Yes, I've got a joke.
- 51:32Speaker 3: What do you got?
- 51:35Speaker 6: Well, why couldn't Sally sit on the swing?
- 51:38Speaker 3: Why?
- 51:40Speaker 6: She had no arms.
- 51:42Speaker 11: Knock, knock.
- 51:43Speaker 2: Who's there? Not Sally. That's terrible.
- 51:53Speaker 3: You know what? In a couple of weeks, in a
- 51:57Speaker 3: couple of weeks, you know, I have this other podcast
- 51:59Speaker 3: called the John J. Van Ness podcast, and I'm interviewing
- 52:02Speaker 3: a woman. that was born without arms and she's a pilot.
- 52:06Speaker 3: Why don't you tell her? I'm going to get you
- 52:07Speaker 3: on to tell her that joke. See how she feels. Okay.
- 52:12Speaker 7: Well, that'll be fun.
- 52:19Speaker 3: I don't think her name is Sally. Hey, you know what?
- 52:23Speaker 11: We could, we could change.
- 52:26Speaker 18: It.
- 52:26Speaker 2: Kelly, don't feel bad.
- 52:28Speaker 3: We encourage you.
- 52:29Speaker 19: Thank you.
- 52:30Speaker 3: All right, Kelly, thanks for sharing that joke. Thanks for listening.
- 52:34Speaker 3: Magic Words for Disney tickets back after 8 this morning,
- 52:38Speaker 3: right around 8. We're going to ask you for the
- 52:40Speaker 3: Magic Words. If you got them, you get tickets to Disney.
- 52:42Speaker 3: We got Harry Styles tickets in about 45 minutes. You
- 52:44Speaker 3: got to keep listening for the cue to call. It's
- 52:45Speaker 3: also National Tell-A-Joke Day. So you got a good joke,
- 52:48Speaker 3: we're going to sprinkle them in.
- 52:49Speaker 4: 877-937-1047.
- 52:53Speaker 15: Hey.
- 52:57Speaker 3: Good morning, Sarah. National Tell-A-Joke Day. What you got? Hi.
- 53:02Speaker 10: Hi.
- 53:02Speaker 17: Yeah, so I've got two. One of them is really corny.
- 53:06Speaker 17: But first one is, what do you call the horse
- 53:09Speaker 17: that lives next door?
- 53:10Speaker 11: What?
- 53:12Speaker 7: Your neighbor.
- 53:15Speaker 3: Cute.
- 53:16Speaker 17: You got to deal with the extended neighbor. And then
- 53:21Speaker 17: the other one, what did the blanket say when it
- 53:24Speaker 17: fell off the bed?
- 53:25Speaker 18: What?
- 53:26Speaker 3: Oh, sheet.
- 53:28Speaker 16: That's corny.
- 53:31Speaker 1: I know.
- 53:31Speaker 4: The one I really wanted to tell, I was told
- 53:33Speaker 4: I couldn't.
- 53:34Speaker 17: So you'll have to ask Dylan about that, and she'll
- 53:37Speaker 17: tell you that one.
- 53:38Speaker 3: Okay, wait, wait, wait. I got an idea. I got
- 53:39Speaker 3: an idea. The joke that you're not allowed to tell.
- 53:43Speaker 3: Can you tell the first part and not the, which
- 53:45Speaker 3: part's dirty? The first part or the second part?
- 53:48Speaker 17: The second part.
- 53:49Speaker 3: Okay. So what if you do this? Tell us the
- 53:51Speaker 3: first part.
- 53:53Speaker 6: Okay.
- 53:53Speaker 3: Okay. And then, no, no, hold on here. I'm going
- 53:57Speaker 3: to walk you through it. Tell what's the first part.
- 53:59Speaker 3: What's the first part?
- 54:00Speaker 17: What do you call a lesbian that doesn't eat meat?
- 54:04Speaker 3: I don't think you can even do that. I think
- 54:07Speaker 3: we know the answer to that one. You cannot say that.
- 54:08Speaker 3: All right, but hold on. Hold on. If you were
- 54:11Speaker 3: to ever tell us part two, is part two, are
- 54:13Speaker 3: there dirty words in part two or can you just
- 54:15Speaker 3: say part two?
- 54:17Speaker 17: It's not dirty.
- 54:18Speaker 3: Okay.
- 54:18Speaker 17: But I, I, I don't want to get in trouble.
- 54:21Speaker 4: It's literally one word.
- 54:22Speaker 6: Okay.
- 54:23Speaker 3: Hold on. Hold on. Hear me out here. So is
- 54:25Speaker 3: that one word dirty?
- 54:28Speaker 17: Uh, I suppose it's not like a swear word.
- 54:33Speaker 3: Okay. Hold on.
- 54:33Speaker 15: Yes, Nick.
- 54:35Speaker 3: So the word by itself would be okay. Okay, that's
- 54:38Speaker 3: what I mean. Stay right there. Okay, so here's what
- 54:40Speaker 3: we're going to do. Sarah, I'm going to put you
- 54:42Speaker 3: on hold. I'm going to put you on hold.
- 54:43Speaker 10: Okay.
- 54:43Speaker 3: I'm going to take another joke, and then I'm going
- 54:47Speaker 3: to come back and talk to you for a second.
- 54:48Speaker 3: And then I just want you to say, when I
- 54:50Speaker 3: cue you, just say a word. Okay. For no reason. Okay,
- 54:52Speaker 3: so hold on. So hold on. Hold on. Hi, Nikki.
- 54:56Speaker 3: You got a joke? I do. What's your joke? All right.
- 55:01Speaker 5: What did the DJ name his son?
- 55:04Speaker 10: What?
- 55:04Speaker 1: What?
- 55:05Speaker 5: Eric, Eric, Eric.
- 55:11Speaker 18: That's funny.
- 55:12Speaker 6: It's an easy one.
- 55:13Speaker 4: It's so dumb, but I love it.
- 55:15Speaker 3: All DJs should know that joke.
- 55:17Speaker 6: Everybody should tell that joke.
- 55:19Speaker 3: That's very funny. All right, thanks, Nikki. Hold on. Hey, Sarah,
- 55:23Speaker 3: I think you're calling about Disney tickets. Are you calling
- 55:24Speaker 3: about Disney tickets? Yeah, you are, right? Yeah, I am.
- 55:26Speaker 3: That's coming up a little bit. What else? What do
- 55:28Speaker 3: you want to say?
- 55:28Speaker 1: Okay.
- 55:28Speaker 3: What do you want to say?
- 55:31Speaker 17: You know, I've been thinking about becoming a vegetarian.
- 55:33Speaker 1: Okay.
- 55:35Speaker 4: What do you guys think about that?
- 55:36Speaker 3: All right. Oh, mine was way better.
- 55:40Speaker 9: All right.
- 55:44Speaker 3: Thanks. That's not even a real word. I thought it
- 55:48Speaker 3: was like, I thought it'd be like a real word. Anyway,
- 55:50Speaker 3: we got a dizzy tickets. I can't. I mean, that
- 55:57Speaker 3: was the way around it, though. Like, you can't get
- 55:59Speaker 3: in trouble.
- 56:00Speaker 2: Really?
- 56:01Speaker 3: Yeah. So everyone's calling for Disney tickets right now. So
- 56:04Speaker 3: hold on a second. Okay, so we got magic words.
- 56:06Speaker 3: Every day, starting like at 10.05, we start giving you
- 56:09Speaker 3: a magic word. You write down the magic word, we're
- 56:11Speaker 3: going to give you 10 of them. When we ask
- 56:13Speaker 3: you to call, which right now is a good time.
- 56:16Speaker 3: Call us right now. We need caller 104 at 877-937-1047.
- 56:17Speaker 3: Caller 104. If you give us three of the magic
- 56:20Speaker 3: words and there are 10 of them, We'll set you
- 56:26Speaker 3: up with Disney tickets and then put you in the
- 56:28Speaker 3: hopper to win the grand prize. So call right now.
- 56:34Speaker 3: We'll talk to you. Hopefully call 104 after Tame Impala.
- 56:45Speaker 3: We're looking for caller 104 right now for free Disney tickets. What? Where?
- 56:48Speaker 3: She said 97.
- 56:48Speaker 2: You're caller 99.
- 56:48Speaker 3: You're caller 100. You're caller 101. You're caller 102. You're
- 56:59Speaker 3: caller 103.
- 56:59Speaker 9: All right.
- 57:01Speaker 3: Caller 104 is on line 24. Okay. All right. So
- 57:05Speaker 3: we're looking for 10. We got 10 magic words. We
- 57:07Speaker 3: just need three of them. And then you get tickets
- 57:11Speaker 3: to Disneyland. Hello. Good morning. John Jay and Rich. Kiss FM.
- 57:18Speaker 3: Can I help you?
- 57:18Speaker 1: Hi.
- 57:18Speaker 4: I was calling for the Disneyland.
- 57:24Speaker 11: Oh, yeah.
- 57:24Speaker 3: What's your name?
- 57:26Speaker 4: My name is Sapphire.
- 57:28Speaker 3: Sapphire, you are caller 104. Oh, my God. No way. Yeah.
- 57:37Speaker 14: Oh, my gosh.
- 57:38Speaker 11: I'm shaking.
- 57:40Speaker 3: So before I ask you for three of the magic words,
- 57:45Speaker 3: where are you? What part of town are you in
- 57:46Speaker 3: right now?
- 57:48Speaker 4: I'm at work in Phoenix.
- 57:49Speaker 3: What do you do for a living?
- 57:52Speaker 4: I'm an accounting assistant for a construction company.
- 57:55Speaker 3: And are they okay with you being on the phone
- 57:57Speaker 3: right now, listening to the radio while you're at work?
- 58:01Speaker 4: Tell me what.
- 58:01Speaker 9: They will be when they find out what you are
- 58:04Speaker 9: about to win.
- 58:05Speaker 3: Good luck. Give us three of the ten magic words
- 58:09Speaker 3: and you win tickets to Disneyland.
- 58:12Speaker 4: I have jungle, pirates, ornaments.
- 58:16Speaker 8: Yes!
- 58:17Speaker 3: Whoa, whoa, whoa. Yeah, you went so fast. You get it, Sapphire.
- 58:22Speaker 3: You're going to Disneyland.
- 58:25Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, thank you guys so much.
- 58:28Speaker 6: Thank you, Lord.
- 58:29Speaker 2: I like her whisper excitement so she doesn't get busted.
- 58:31Speaker 4: I have my office door closed because I laugh loud too.
- 58:39Speaker 3: You're also thrown in the hopper for the grand prize,
- 58:41Speaker 3: which is four three-day, one park-a-day passes and hotel at
- 58:44Speaker 3: the Disneyland Resort.
- 58:47Speaker 4: That would be awesome.
- 58:48Speaker 11: I know.
- 58:48Speaker 8: Fingers crossed.
- 58:49Speaker 3: All right, Sapphire, hold on so we get some information. Congratulations.
- 58:52Speaker 3: Thanks for listening.
- 58:54Speaker 7: Thank you.
- 58:56Speaker 3: That's cool.
- 58:57Speaker 1: Yay.
- 58:57Speaker 3: She's at work whispering. That's very cool.
- 59:01Speaker 9: That's dedication right there.
- 59:03Speaker 3: So in two hours, exactly two hours from now, we're
- 59:06Speaker 3: going to give you the next magic word. And then
- 59:08Speaker 3: we'll do it every hour after that. And then we'll
- 59:09Speaker 3: ask you tomorrow to call in and be called on 104.
- 59:12Speaker 3: By the way, I made an observation yesterday. So about
- 59:15Speaker 3: a month, month and a half. I've had these tire
- 59:18Speaker 3: sensor go off in my car. Oh my God.
- 59:20Speaker 2: What are you kidding me?
- 59:21Speaker 3: It says I need air.
- 59:22Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 59:22Speaker 3: Right. And I've been watching it and it got like
- 59:26Speaker 3: more serious. You know, like I used to say it
- 59:28Speaker 3: would go beep, you know, tire sensor. And then you
- 59:31Speaker 3: could just get rid of the notification on your screen
- 59:34Speaker 3: on my car. And then it got to the point
- 59:36Speaker 3: where I couldn't get rid of it. It was like,
- 59:38Speaker 3: this is pretty serious, man. Okay. So it's been like
- 59:40Speaker 3: five weeks of this tire sensor thing. And I went
- 59:44Speaker 3: at one point to discount tire. Cause I heard they
- 59:45Speaker 3: do that for free.
- 59:47Speaker 16: Right.
- 59:47Speaker 3: You go to the discount tire line. They put air
- 59:49Speaker 3: in your tire for free.
- 59:50Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 59:50Speaker 3: So I went there like a week and a half
- 59:52Speaker 3: ago and I pulled up and there was a sign
- 59:56Speaker 3: that said, it's too hot. We don't do it now.
- 59:59Speaker 3: It's too hot. And then a guy came out and
- 1:00:01Speaker 3: I was like, dude, my sensors. And he goes, it's
- 1:00:04Speaker 3: really hot. He goes, go ahead and park and then
- 1:00:07Speaker 3: we'll grab your car and then we'll bring it into
- 1:00:09Speaker 3: the bay and we'll fill it up. It'll take about
- 1:00:11Speaker 3: 20 minutes. I'm like, I don't have 20 minutes. I
- 1:00:14Speaker 3: can't do that. I really had nothing else to do.
- 1:00:17Speaker 9: You just didn't want to wait.
- 1:00:18Speaker 3: I just didn't want to wait. So I left. And
- 1:00:20Speaker 3: then yesterday morning, the sensor on my car went off
- 1:00:24Speaker 3: pretty hardcore. More aggressive this time. Yeah. So I went
- 1:00:26Speaker 3: to the gas station. And there was the air sensor
- 1:00:30Speaker 3: over there, the air filler upper thing. And I was like, oh,
- 1:00:33Speaker 3: let me. So I filled up my tank with gas.
- 1:00:36Speaker 3: And then I went. I thought about doing that, putting
- 1:00:38Speaker 3: the air thing in. And it didn't have one of
- 1:00:40Speaker 3: the little things that pops out and tells you how much.
- 1:00:42Speaker 3: The gauge. The gauge. And I felt like Rich gave
- 1:00:44Speaker 3: us one of those. I did. You did, right?
- 1:00:46Speaker 2: Well, where is it? You should have it in your car.
- 1:00:49Speaker 3: I was pretty sure you gave us one. Why don't
- 1:00:51Speaker 3: you look in your backpack? Maybe you put it in there.
- 1:00:52Speaker 3: I tore apart my car looking for it.
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: Because that has the gauge right on it. Let's say
- 1:00:58Speaker 2: you need to fill up your tire to 35. You
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: just dial it up to 35. It'll fill it up
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: and then turn off.
- 1:01:04Speaker 3: That's what I thought. Yeah. Maybe it's in my backpack.
- 1:01:06Speaker 2: Might be in your backpack.
- 1:01:07Speaker 3: It's not in my car. I looked all over my
- 1:01:08Speaker 3: car for it.
- 1:01:09Speaker 2: I think each one of you got one of those
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: for me.
- 1:01:10Speaker 3: I was getting all mad at you.
- 1:01:12Speaker 11: What?
- 1:01:12Speaker 3: What the hell, Farrah? You gave us this gift. Where
- 1:01:14Speaker 3: is it? Come on. So then I go to discount
- 1:01:19Speaker 3: tire right down the way. And this guy, I think
- 1:01:21Speaker 3: his name's Greg, nicest guy in the world. And he
- 1:01:24Speaker 3: took his time and he filled up my tires. And
- 1:01:25Speaker 3: then when I left, car drove totally different. You probably
- 1:01:29Speaker 3: were really low, huh? Felt like that. Yeah, the guy
- 1:01:30Speaker 3: was like, hey, man, your tire's at 29. He goes,
- 1:01:32Speaker 3: when was the last time you checked your tires? I
- 1:01:34Speaker 3: was like, I don't know. And then I looked while
- 1:01:37Speaker 3: he was doing it. I looked and it was like
- 1:01:39Speaker 3: beginning of June.
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: Well, that makes sense that they would have changed then.
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: When it gets really hot and then when it starts
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: getting colder, your tires go up and down.
- 1:01:47Speaker 3: So I'm going to tell you something. Little public service announcement.
- 1:01:50Speaker 3: Car drives a lot better with the proper air in
- 1:01:52Speaker 3: the tires.
- 1:01:54Speaker 9: What do you know?
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: I even get you the easiest tool in the world
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: to use for that.
- 1:01:59Speaker 3: Gavin, what's up, man? You're on the air. Hi.
- 1:02:05Speaker 8: Earlier this morning, you guys were talking about things you
- 1:02:08Speaker 8: shouldn't do at a theme park. John, you were reading
- 1:02:12Speaker 8: off a list.
- 1:02:12Speaker 3: That's right, because we're giving away tickets to Disneyland every
- 1:02:15Speaker 3: single day, so we're kind of tying in theme park stuff.
- 1:02:17Speaker 3: Things never to do at a theme park, like cut
- 1:02:19Speaker 3: in line. Wow, you got something to add to it, Gavin?
- 1:02:22Speaker 8: I do have something to add to it, something that
- 1:02:24Speaker 8: happened to me when I was a little kid, and
- 1:02:26Speaker 8: I think it should definitely be added to your list.
- 1:02:30Speaker 8: So I remember that I went with my parents one
- 1:02:33Speaker 8: year to the county fair. I mean, went with some
- 1:02:36Speaker 8: family friends of ours and their son, who we'll call Jason,
- 1:02:40Speaker 8: also went. And he was several years older than me.
- 1:02:45Speaker 8: And I remember that he and I went together on
- 1:02:48Speaker 8: the big Ferris wheel, not the kind where you're sitting
- 1:02:52Speaker 8: side by side, but the kind where you're in a
- 1:02:53Speaker 8: circular pod that can have like three or four people.
- 1:02:57Speaker 8: And so we get on the Ferris wheel, just he
- 1:02:59Speaker 8: and I, and we're riding it. We get up to
- 1:03:02Speaker 8: the top. The Ferris wheel stops to let people at
- 1:03:05Speaker 8: the bottom on and off. And at one point he
- 1:03:10Speaker 8: opens the side doors of the pod. And I was like,
- 1:03:17Speaker 8: kind of freaked out. I'm like, you're not, you're not
- 1:03:18Speaker 8: supposed to do that. And if opening those side doors,
- 1:03:22Speaker 8: wasn't bad enough. At one point he says, do you
- 1:03:25Speaker 8: want to jump?
- 1:03:28Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, so your thing is never at a theme park.
- 1:03:31Speaker 3: Go with Jason. Tell me he's in jail now. Jason
- 1:03:35Speaker 3: had to end up in jail.
- 1:03:39Speaker 16: I don't know.
- 1:03:40Speaker 3: He's not in jail.
- 1:03:43Speaker 8: Yeah, he's had some issues. I don't think jail's been.
- 1:03:45Speaker 3: One of them.
- 1:03:47Speaker 8: But I just remember being thoroughly freaked out. And when
- 1:03:51Speaker 8: we got back down to the ground, I didn't tell
- 1:03:53Speaker 8: my parents right away, but I told them at some
- 1:03:55Speaker 8: point after we got home. And he was to say
- 1:03:58Speaker 8: they were livid, called his parents. And, yeah, that's something
- 1:04:05Speaker 8: I think definitely, if you're on the ride at a
- 1:04:08Speaker 8: theme park, do not be opening any doors or latches
- 1:04:12Speaker 8: or anything that's supposed to be closed and locked in
- 1:04:14Speaker 8: the middle of the ride.
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: Seems kind of obvious.
- 1:04:16Speaker 19: Yeah.
- 1:04:17Speaker 3: All right.
- 1:04:17Speaker 9: Not for Jason.
- 1:04:18Speaker 3: Yeah, no kidding. Thanks, Gavin. I'm glad you're okay. Thank you, guys.
- 1:04:22Speaker 3: I had to be scary. By the way, Disneyland's got
- 1:04:24Speaker 3: this great Ferris wheel with Mickey in the middle.
- 1:04:28Speaker 9: Great Ferris wheel.
- 1:04:29Speaker 8: Huh?
- 1:04:29Speaker 3: That thing scares me. Well, that's where I was going.
- 1:04:31Speaker 3: It's beautiful. It's awesome. And when you're on your way up,
- 1:04:34Speaker 3: you're like, this is amazing. And then you have to
- 1:04:37Speaker 3: like plant your feet because it rocks. I remember being
- 1:04:42Speaker 3: so scared and my kids were terrified. But then you
- 1:04:44Speaker 3: land and it's awesome.
- 1:04:45Speaker 9: That thing does not rock. That thing sways.
- 1:04:47Speaker 3: You can pick which one you can do. I think
- 1:04:49Speaker 3: you can lock it.
- 1:04:50Speaker 2: You can pick a sway car.
- 1:04:51Speaker 3: Something like that, yeah.
- 1:04:52Speaker 2: Oh, that's cool.
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: Anyway.
- 1:04:54Speaker 3: If you had any problems scoring Harry Styles tickets when
- 1:04:57Speaker 3: they went on sale yesterday, we got you. A free
- 1:05:01Speaker 3: pair is on the line in less than 20 minutes.
- 1:05:03Speaker 3: We're going to get some entertainment news. Kyle and Peyton
- 1:05:05Speaker 3: breaking all the stuff down, right? Oprah, Eminem, Jelly Roll.
- 1:05:09Speaker 3: Rumors about Super Bowl?
- 1:05:10Speaker 11: No?
- 1:05:10Speaker 16: Yep.
- 1:05:11Speaker 3: That's what I heard. That's next, John Jay and Rich.
- 1:05:13Speaker 3: Get up, get up.
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: From the car to the office.
- 1:05:16Speaker 8: Wake up with them every morning.
- 1:05:18Speaker 3: John Jay and Rich. All right, let's get to what's
- 1:05:20Speaker 3: trending in the entertainment world. Kyle and Peyton, what do
- 1:05:22Speaker 3: you guys got?
- 1:05:23Speaker 12: A little over a half an hour from right now.
- 1:05:24Speaker 12: Ticketmaster's going to go crazy because... Harry.
- 1:05:27Speaker 9: Styles tickets officially go on sale. Yesterday was the pre-sale.
- 1:05:29Speaker 9: It was such insane madness and demand that he's already
- 1:05:35Speaker 9: made changes and added more U.S.
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: Dates.
- 1:05:37Speaker 12: He literally just announced this U.S. stadium tour six days ago.
- 1:05:42Speaker 9: And it's like bananas. There's a lot of hype behind it.
- 1:05:44Speaker 12: So if you are trying to get tickets, good luck
- 1:05:47Speaker 12: because Ticketmaster might just shut down today.
- 1:05:49Speaker 9: Or maybe they can handle it. We will have to see.
- 1:05:51Speaker 9: In the meantime.
- 1:05:52Speaker 12: I think people are so obsessed with Harry Styles right now,
- 1:05:54Speaker 12: and there's another name that has been thrown out that
- 1:05:57Speaker 12: could possibly be the 2027 Super Bowl halftime show. One
- 1:06:01Speaker 12: of those that the rumor is starting to swirl is
- 1:06:04Speaker 12: Harry Styles.
- 1:06:04Speaker 9: The other, Justin Bieber. And I feel like, just bring
- 1:06:07Speaker 9: Justin Bieber in.
- 1:06:07Speaker 12: Because we've been waiting for him to be a halftime
- 1:06:10Speaker 12: show by himself for a long time.
- 1:06:11Speaker 10: I feel like if we don't get Justin Bieber this year,
- 1:06:13Speaker 10: he might go off and disappear again. We need him
- 1:06:16Speaker 10: now while he's wanting.
- 1:06:17Speaker 9: To be in the public.
- 1:06:18Speaker 11: I know.
- 1:06:19Speaker 9: Harry Styles would be really cool too.
- 1:06:20Speaker 3: That would be awesome. Harry Styles, I'm looking at his
- 1:06:23Speaker 3: tour dates, and the Super Bowl is on Valentine's Day.
- 1:06:26Speaker 5: Correct.
- 1:06:27Speaker 3: So have we looked to see if he's got something
- 1:06:29Speaker 3: going on there? So far, you can't find anything in February.
- 1:06:32Speaker 3: I also heard that Jay-Z might throw his hat in
- 1:06:35Speaker 3: the ring.
- 1:06:36Speaker 2: Isn't he picking the act? He's like, you know, I
- 1:06:39Speaker 2: thought about it.
- 1:06:40Speaker 9: You can't find someone to do it right. You do
- 1:06:41Speaker 9: it yourself.
- 1:06:43Speaker 3: He's got sold out stuff too.
- 1:06:44Speaker 9: We'll have to wait and see. They haven't made an
- 1:06:46Speaker 9: official announcement just yet.
- 1:06:47Speaker 3: This is where they usually do it though. Like the
- 1:06:49Speaker 3: next couple of days. It should be coming out soon.
- 1:06:51Speaker 9: Pretty soon.
- 1:06:52Speaker 12: Hopefully we'll all be excited about it because a lot
- 1:06:54Speaker 12: of times when the rumors go out there and then
- 1:06:56Speaker 12: it's not who everyone's hoping it is, there's a little
- 1:06:58Speaker 12: bit of disappointment.
- 1:06:59Speaker 9: So hopefully we're all excited.
- 1:07:00Speaker 2: Could be Miley too. Keep hearing that.
- 1:07:01Speaker 9: That would also be amazing. Like I said, we'll have
- 1:07:04Speaker 9: to wait and see.
- 1:07:05Speaker 12: Tom Cruise is promoting his new dark comedy called Digger
- 1:07:08Speaker 12: that comes out October 2nd. So we're seeing like rare
- 1:07:10Speaker 12: glimpses of Tom Cruise because normally, you know, he doesn't
- 1:07:13Speaker 12: have anything to promote.
- 1:07:14Speaker 9: He's nowhere to be found. In any case, he actually.
- 1:07:17Speaker 12: Opened up and said, yes, the rumors are true. Sometimes
- 1:07:22Speaker 12: I'm a little difficult to work with in the sense
- 1:07:25Speaker 12: that I have high standards.
- 1:07:26Speaker 3: Like even when I was a kid, they're like, oh,
- 1:07:28Speaker 3: come on, Tom. You know, like you're so intense. I
- 1:07:30Speaker 3: don't know what to say. I am intense.
- 1:07:34Speaker 19: I got a very good sense of humor about it,
- 1:07:36Speaker 19: but I could have been interested in something. It's like,
- 1:07:39Speaker 19: I want to learn it. I want to understand it.
- 1:07:40Speaker 19: And you want to blast through the confusion. People that
- 1:07:43Speaker 19: work with me, they know I expect a lot and
- 1:07:45Speaker 19: I'm upfront about it.
- 1:07:46Speaker 3: It's like, the rumors are true. And do you want this?
- 1:07:49Speaker 19: If we're there, I'm like, trust me, the rumors are true.
- 1:07:51Speaker 19: I'll be here before you. What experience do you want?
- 1:07:54Speaker 19: And I'm very open.
- 1:07:55Speaker 3: That's awesome.
- 1:07:56Speaker 9: I love it. It's just like he says, and do
- 1:07:58Speaker 9: you want this? Because he knows what he's doing is
- 1:08:01Speaker 9: going to win.
- 1:08:01Speaker 3: Did you hear about the instructional video he made for
- 1:08:04Speaker 3: up-and-coming actors?
- 1:08:05Speaker 12: No.
- 1:08:05Speaker 3: So he made a how to be a good actor video,
- 1:08:07Speaker 3: and it's six hours long. Good for him.
- 1:08:10Speaker 10: Well, you've got to be committed to learn from the best. Drake,
- 1:08:14Speaker 10: he dropped FOMO last night. It was a 60-minute self-funded
- 1:08:17Speaker 10: surrealist film, and he confirmed a 2027 tour. There were
- 1:08:21Speaker 10: some celebrity cameos in there from Kevin Durant and Sexy Red,
- 1:08:25Speaker 10: but what really had people gagged was he had two
- 1:08:28Speaker 10: unreleased Don Toliver collabs, with one of them being Ella
- 1:08:32Speaker 10: Langley's Choose in Texas remix.
- 1:08:35Speaker 7: That is your.
- 1:08:37Speaker 2: Best hippie I call my worst enemy That sounds cool.
- 1:08:45Speaker 19: Yeah.
- 1:08:46Speaker 10: Don Toliver, I think, is kind of giving like this
- 1:08:48Speaker 10: day's T-Pain right now, but I'm loving it. And his collabs,
- 1:08:51Speaker 10: Cheetah Print on there too, was super cool. So Drake,
- 1:08:54Speaker 10: he actually starts the verse off and you can kind of,
- 1:08:57Speaker 10: it's all over the internet right now, but you can't
- 1:08:58Speaker 10: find it on YouTube because Drake.
- 1:09:00Speaker 9: Drake pulled down the stream. I don't know why, but
- 1:09:02Speaker 9: it's private. Why'd you do that, Drake? I don't know,
- 1:09:04Speaker 9: but you can't. You got to go.
- 1:09:05Speaker 10: Look on the TikToks or type it in Instagram. I
- 1:09:08Speaker 10: don't know to go find it, but it was really,
- 1:09:09Speaker 10: really cool. So the Emmys were on Monday night and
- 1:09:13Speaker 10: there has been kind of some.
- 1:09:16Speaker 9: Extra information coming out and about.
- 1:09:19Speaker 10: Abbott Elementary, Cheryl Lee Ralph, she basically came out and
- 1:09:23Speaker 10: was like, dramas need to stop posing as comedies. And she,
- 1:09:29Speaker 10: I mean, kind of went in on this report. Because
- 1:09:32Speaker 10: Abbott Elementary, if you look... At the Emmy nomination, it
- 1:09:34Speaker 10: was like Widow's Bay. It was that Margot's got money
- 1:09:38Speaker 10: troubles and all that kind of stuff. And she's like,
- 1:09:40Speaker 10: this is a legit comedy. But she doubled back and
- 1:09:42Speaker 10: she was like, hey, my bad.
- 1:09:43Speaker 3: I probably should have. I agree with that. I liked
- 1:09:45Speaker 3: her first stance before she doubled back.
- 1:09:46Speaker 9: When Widow's Bay, I mean, it won so many awards.
- 1:09:49Speaker 9: I was like, I never knew that was a comedy.
- 1:09:52Speaker 3: I watched the first episode. I didn't think it was funny.
- 1:09:54Speaker 3: It's kind of like White Lotus. Remember how I told
- 1:09:56Speaker 3: you White Lotus? They said it was a comedy. And
- 1:09:58Speaker 3: I'm like, I think the word is dramedy. Like, or drama.
- 1:10:02Speaker 12: Maybe we should create a whole new section for shows
- 1:10:06Speaker 12: like that.
- 1:10:06Speaker 3: Like Avanello mentioned, maybe it should be sitcoms. Maybe we
- 1:10:10Speaker 3: should start splitting things up. Kind of how there's record
- 1:10:12Speaker 3: of the year and album of the year. I don't
- 1:10:13Speaker 3: know the difference.
- 1:10:14Speaker 2: The Bear won a Bunch Hunter comedy, too, and that's
- 1:10:16Speaker 2: a drama show. Like, those big shows. They're drama.
- 1:10:19Speaker 3: They're not hilarious.
- 1:10:19Speaker 4: Totally.
- 1:10:20Speaker 10: Speaking of drama, Law Roach, he's actually setting the record
- 1:10:22Speaker 10: straight because there was a viral video showing Odessa Zion,
- 1:10:26Speaker 10: Law Roach and Zendaya trying to take a picture. And
- 1:10:28Speaker 10: Law Roach is like laughing and leads his head on Odessa.
- 1:10:31Speaker 10: And she kind of like pulls back from him. And
- 1:10:34Speaker 10: everyone's like, oh, my gosh, she was snubbing him like
- 1:10:36Speaker 10: he's doing too much. And Law Roach was like, I'm
- 1:10:39Speaker 10: literally going to go get lunch with her later this week.
- 1:10:41Speaker 10: Like it is not it's nothing that deep.
- 1:10:43Speaker 9: Stop being drama.
- 1:10:44Speaker 3: So when you said speaking to TV, I thought you
- 1:10:46Speaker 3: go law and order.
- 1:10:51Speaker 10: Also announced just yesterday amanda seyfried and her husband thomas
- 1:10:54Speaker 10: sadowski have officially called it quits after nine years of
- 1:10:58Speaker 10: marriage they broke up yeah in a joint statement they
- 1:11:01Speaker 10: just stated that they have been quietly separated for a
- 1:11:03Speaker 10: while and that this is just the healthiest move for.
- 1:11:06Speaker 3: Them in You know, it happened to the guy that
- 1:11:07Speaker 3: plays Reacher the other day, too. They've been married 20 years.
- 1:11:09Speaker 3: That was sad. And it's like sometimes you can see
- 1:11:12Speaker 3: the writing on the walls. Like, this guy's become so famous,
- 1:11:15Speaker 3: he's probably like, man, I'm out of here. That's sad.
- 1:11:17Speaker 3: I could date Jennifer Aniston right now. I can date
- 1:11:20Speaker 3: Zendaya or whoever.
- 1:11:21Speaker 9: That is very sad.
- 1:11:22Speaker 3: That's what I'm guessing. You make up the whole story
- 1:11:23Speaker 3: in your head.
- 1:11:24Speaker 9: Right, yeah.
- 1:11:25Speaker 12: Dakota Fanning, she randomly went viral for absolutely nailing Lil
- 1:11:29Speaker 12: Wayne's Watch My Shoes.
- 1:11:31Speaker 3: Got a lot more shit than you could ever fathom.
- 1:11:34Speaker 10: A big hit that couldn't.
- 1:11:36Speaker 3: Even imagine the shit I do.
- 1:11:49Speaker 12: Went so viral that Lil Wayne himself saw it, slid
- 1:11:54Speaker 12: into her DMs to give her his stamp of approval.
- 1:11:58Speaker 9: He's like, that was awesome. Good job. And I think
- 1:12:02Speaker 9: like that would just be the biggest moment. Like even,
- 1:12:04Speaker 9: even though like Dakota.
- 1:12:06Speaker 12: Fanning's very famous, but like you're singing Lil Wayne and
- 1:12:08Speaker 12: then he slides into your DMs because you're just nailing it.
- 1:12:11Speaker 9: That's a moment. I bet you that's going to be
- 1:12:13Speaker 9: a trend.
- 1:12:13Speaker 10: Everyone's going to be online trying to nail Lil Wayne
- 1:12:16Speaker 10: lyrics just to get them to say good job.
- 1:12:18Speaker 3: I know.
- 1:12:18Speaker 12: And I'm wondering, though, because, you know, we've talked about
- 1:12:21Speaker 12: like the Hollywood machine before.
- 1:12:23Speaker 9: Lil Wayne also just is now a character on Fortnite.
- 1:12:26Speaker 9: So I'm wondering if like a little bit of that
- 1:12:29Speaker 9: kind of is a little bit.
- 1:12:30Speaker 12: Of a promotion that we're hearing Lil Wayne a little
- 1:12:33Speaker 12: bit more, perhaps. Either way, both things are very entertaining
- 1:12:36Speaker 12: and exciting.
- 1:12:37Speaker 9: If you ask me.
- 1:12:38Speaker 3: Harry Styles is coming to State Farm Stadium in April.
- 1:12:40Speaker 3: We're going to hook you up with a pair of
- 1:12:41Speaker 3: free tickets right now. We're going to play a game. 877-937-1047.
- 1:12:46Speaker 3: You got to win Netflix number one. You do that,
- 1:12:48Speaker 3: those tickets are yours. We're playing After Maroon 5. Hi, Samantha.
- 1:12:58Speaker 10: Oh, my gosh.
- 1:13:00Speaker 11: I have to win these tickets.
- 1:13:01Speaker 4: I have to win these tickets.
- 1:13:02Speaker 3: Let's go.
- 1:13:02Speaker 6: Let's go.
- 1:13:03Speaker 3: Okay, I'm assuming that means you are a Harry Styles fan.
- 1:13:07Speaker 15: Well, I am a big fan, but my daughter's an
- 1:13:09Speaker 15: even bigger fan.
- 1:13:10Speaker 6: So I will be the best mom of the year.
- 1:13:13Speaker 3: Well, he will be coming to State Farm Save in April.
- 1:13:15Speaker 3: We're going to play Netflix number one.
- 1:13:29Speaker 12: All right, Samantha, Netflix at number one could be about TV,
- 1:13:32Speaker 12: could be just about number.
- 1:13:34Speaker 9: One things in the world. We begin with John Jay.
- 1:13:37Speaker 12: Widows Bay absolutely destroyed at the Emmys this week. setting
- 1:13:42Speaker 12: a new record for comedy series with how many Emmys
- 1:13:46Speaker 12: they won. So, John Jay, how many Emmys did they win?
- 1:13:50Speaker 12: It's multiple choice.
- 1:13:51Speaker 9: Don't worry.
- 1:13:51Speaker 3: 10, 12, or 14. Oh, wow. That's funny because I
- 1:13:55Speaker 3: was going to say nine. 10, 12, or 14. I'm
- 1:13:57Speaker 3: going to say nine. I'm going to say 10.
- 1:13:59Speaker 9: Incorrect. It was actually 14.
- 1:14:01Speaker 15: Dang.
- 1:14:01Speaker 3: They cleaned up. Record-breaking.
- 1:14:03Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:14:04Speaker 12: Broke the single-year comedy record of 13 set by the
- 1:14:07Speaker 12: studio last year.
- 1:14:08Speaker 9: So maybe next year someone will win 15. Who knows?
- 1:14:11Speaker 12: Sorry, not on the board yet, but you will be
- 1:14:12Speaker 12: able to redeem yourself in round two, John J.
- 1:14:15Speaker 3: Rich.
- 1:14:16Speaker 12: Emmy ratings actually dropped to about six point seven million
- 1:14:19Speaker 12: viewers this year. They were going head to head with
- 1:14:20Speaker 12: Monday Night Football. That probably had a little something to
- 1:14:22Speaker 12: do with it. Which of these people, though, Rich, had
- 1:14:25Speaker 12: the highest rated Emmys telecast since 1988?
- 1:14:27Speaker 9: Ellen DeGeneres, Conan O'Brien or Gary Shandling?
- 1:14:32Speaker 2: Oh, OK. So I'm going to say just based on
- 1:14:35Speaker 2: the ones that I remember, the one we talked about
- 1:14:37Speaker 2: the most is Ellen DeGeneres.
- 1:14:39Speaker 3: That's my final answer.
- 1:14:41Speaker 9: Kind of what I thought, too, but apparently it was
- 1:14:43Speaker 9: Gary Shandling.
- 1:14:44Speaker 12: He hosted in 2000, and his Emmy got 21.8 million
- 1:14:48Speaker 12: viewers compared to only 6 million.
- 1:14:50Speaker 3: You know why? If you do logic, it makes sense,
- 1:14:53Speaker 3: because in 2000, there were no apps. There weren't anywhere
- 1:14:55Speaker 3: else to go.
- 1:14:56Speaker 2: I guess that's true.
- 1:14:57Speaker 3: So people had to watch five channels.
- 1:14:59Speaker 9: A lot less choices back in the day. Peyton Dancy's
- 1:15:03Speaker 9: What the.
- 1:15:03Speaker 12: Stars had a very messy premiere last night. There was
- 1:15:06Speaker 12: a voting glitch. They were running late. It was actually
- 1:15:09Speaker 12: very messy. So, here's a Dancing with the Stars record.
- 1:15:12Speaker 12: Which Disney star actually holds the record for most perfect
- 1:15:16Speaker 12: scored dances in a single season with nine perfect tens?
- 1:15:21Speaker 9: Zendaya, Jordan Fisher, or Corbin Bleu? Zendaya, A. I thought
- 1:15:27Speaker 9: you would say that, but you shouldn't.
- 1:15:28Speaker 3: Jordan Fisher.
- 1:15:29Speaker 9: Corbin Fisher.
- 1:15:30Speaker 3: Jordan Fisher. I remember him blushing that.
- 1:15:35Speaker 10: Unfamil.
- 1:15:36Speaker 3: Oh, he's great. He was in the live-action Grease musical.
- 1:15:40Speaker 9: Okay, I think I see what's happening here, Samantha.
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: John J.
- 1:15:44Speaker 9: Rich and Peyton really want you to get these Harry
- 1:15:46Speaker 9: Styles tickets, so they're trying to make it a little easier.
- 1:15:50Speaker 3: For you to win.
- 1:15:50Speaker 12: Okay, so it's your turn. Samantha, we are heading into
- 1:15:53Speaker 12: Halloween season. Spooky season is almost here. So which movie
- 1:15:57Speaker 12: holds the Guinness record for the highest-grossing horror movie of
- 1:16:01Speaker 12: all time worldwide?
- 1:16:03Speaker 9: The Exorcist, It... Or the sixth sense?
- 1:16:09Speaker 4: Oh, I'm going to say it.
- 1:16:12Speaker 12: And Samantha is the first one on the board. Moving
- 1:16:16Speaker 12: to round two, you are sitting pretty. You are the
- 1:16:18Speaker 12: only one that has scored so far. John Jay, Tom Cruise,
- 1:16:22Speaker 12: he's out promoting his new movie. So let's put his ridiculous.
- 1:16:25Speaker 9: Career in perspective.
- 1:16:26Speaker 12: Which Tom Cruise movie made more money worldwide than any
- 1:16:31Speaker 12: other movie he's ever starred in?
- 1:16:34Speaker 9: Which one was his best?
- 1:16:36Speaker 3: Most lucrative? Multiple choice or no?
- 1:16:39Speaker 19: No.
- 1:16:39Speaker 3: You've got to get this one on your own.
- 1:16:41Speaker 9: And you would be correct.
- 1:16:43Speaker 12: John Jay on the board now tied with Samantha.
- 1:16:45Speaker 9: Moving to you, Rich.
- 1:16:47Speaker 12: American Idol announced they are officially leaving Hollywood and moving
- 1:16:50Speaker 12: production to Georgia for season 25.
- 1:16:52Speaker 3: Oh, wow.
- 1:16:53Speaker 9: So let's settle an Idol debate.
- 1:16:55Speaker 12: Which American Idol alum has sold the most albums in
- 1:16:59Speaker 12: the United States?
- 1:17:00Speaker 9: Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, or Jennifer Hudson?
- 1:17:03Speaker 2: Oh, wow. What a great-looking question, Kyle. It's got to
- 1:17:08Speaker 2: be between Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood. And I'm going
- 1:17:11Speaker 2: to go Carrie Underwood.
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: Correct.
- 1:17:13Speaker 9: Rich is on the board. Congratulations for that.
- 1:17:16Speaker 12: Now, also tied with Samantha Payton, this is your chance
- 1:17:18Speaker 12: to redeem yourself. Netflix is about to drop its new monster,
- 1:17:22Speaker 12: the Lizzie Borden story.
- 1:17:23Speaker 9: It drops tomorrow. So when it comes to Netflix.
- 1:17:27Speaker 12: Which show is currently Netflix's number one most watched English
- 1:17:32Speaker 12: language series of all time?
- 1:17:34Speaker 9: Stranger Things, Wednesday, or Bridgerton?
- 1:17:38Speaker 6: Oh, gosh.
- 1:17:38Speaker 10: You threw me off with the Bridgerton right there. I'm
- 1:17:42Speaker 10: just going to trust my gut and say Stranger Things.
- 1:17:45Speaker 9: It's Wednesday.
- 1:17:46Speaker 19: What?
- 1:17:47Speaker 9: It's Wednesday. Okay, Jenna Ortega. I know.
- 1:17:50Speaker 8: I know.
- 1:17:51Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:17:52Speaker 9: Good try, though.
- 1:17:53Speaker 12: Samantha, you just have to get this correct and you
- 1:17:56Speaker 12: will beat John Jay and Rich. And you do not
- 1:17:58Speaker 12: have to sit in the queue today to get Harry
- 1:18:00Speaker 12: Styles because you will win those tickets.
- 1:18:03Speaker 9: Are you ready?
- 1:18:05Speaker 6: I'm ready, but I need a multiple choice.
- 1:18:07Speaker 9: Okay. It is multiple choice.
- 1:18:09Speaker 3: So your luck.
- 1:18:10Speaker 9: People are, Samantha, people are going insane over the new
- 1:18:14Speaker 9: $ 40 Starbucks Snoopy cap. It's actually $ 39. 95 to be specific.
- 1:18:19Speaker 12: Some have already resold for as much as $ 2, 000.
- 1:18:23Speaker 9: So here's the number one question.
- 1:18:27Speaker 12: That's approximately how many times the original Starbucks price?
- 1:18:31Speaker 9: Three, four or five times?
- 1:18:35Speaker 11: I'm going to say five times.
- 1:18:38Speaker 9: Five times would be correct, which means Samantha's going to Harry's.
- 1:18:40Speaker 3: Yes, thank you so much.
- 1:18:47Speaker 15: Yay!
- 1:18:50Speaker 4: You so much.
- 1:18:51Speaker 3: You got it.
- 1:18:52Speaker 12: Thank you.
- 1:18:53Speaker 3: Thank you. Thank you. We got tickets every day this
- 1:18:55Speaker 3: week to Harry Styles. Every day. He'll be here in April.
- 1:19:00Speaker 3: We still got, by the way, $ 250 gift card for
- 1:19:03Speaker 3: Traders and NBC12 News to give away. You got to
- 1:19:05Speaker 3: keep listening for that. We're going to ask you a
- 1:19:06Speaker 3: simple trivia question about Traders. That's coming up. What else, Kyle?
- 1:19:10Speaker 3: What's coming up? What do we need to know?
- 1:19:11Speaker 12: One huge retailer is basically hooking you up with a
- 1:19:14Speaker 12: personal shopper.
- 1:19:15Speaker 9: I'll explain next with John Jay and Rich.
- 1:19:16Speaker 14: Coffee in hand, earbuds on John.
- 1:19:20Speaker 11: Jay and Rich. Mornings.
- 1:19:23Speaker 9: All right, we got $ 250 to Traders gift card.
- 1:19:30Speaker 3: You just got to answer a simple trivia question. And
- 1:19:33Speaker 3: we had Jennifer right there ready to go. Okay. Hello, Jennifer.
- 1:19:37Speaker 3: How are you?
- 1:19:37Speaker 4: Hey, good morning. I'm good. How are you guys doing?
- 1:19:41Speaker 3: All right. All right, Jennifer.
- 1:19:43Speaker 2: This is it.
- 1:19:44Speaker 3: Traders.
- 1:19:46Speaker 2: How does Alan pick his traders?
- 1:19:51Speaker 4: Alan, he taps them on the shoulder.
- 1:19:53Speaker 3: That is totally correct.
- 1:19:54Speaker 4: At the first roundtable meeting.
- 1:19:55Speaker 2: At the first roundtable meeting, you are correct. Behold the
- 1:19:58Speaker 2: Traitor's New Blood, an all-new season of treachery and deceit.
- 1:20:02Speaker 2: As host Alan Cumming opens his castle doors to everyday Americans,
- 1:20:07Speaker 2: the Traitor's New Blood debuts with a special two-hour extended
- 1:20:10Speaker 2: premiere tomorrow at 7, only on NBC12. Congratulations.
- 1:20:13Speaker 3: All right, Jennifer, hold on. Thank you. We'll do it
- 1:20:17Speaker 3: again tomorrow, too. Kyle, what do we need to know today?
- 1:20:19Speaker 12: Walmart is trying to turn their app into your own
- 1:20:22Speaker 12: personal shopper. So instead of searching for every individual thing
- 1:20:25Speaker 12: you need, now you can tell it's AI what you're
- 1:20:28Speaker 12: trying to do. Like, I'm throwing a birthday party. And
- 1:20:30Speaker 12: then it will recommend all the products you need to
- 1:20:32Speaker 12: help build out whatever you're doing rather than making you
- 1:20:35Speaker 12: search for every item individually.
- 1:20:37Speaker 9: This is amazing.
- 1:20:38Speaker 2: That's cool. I hope Walmart AI is like Walmart itself. Everything,
- 1:20:42Speaker 2: it's like you're going to need more beer.
- 1:20:44Speaker 9: Yeah, like here's the decorations. Here's the snacks you need
- 1:20:48Speaker 9: for it.
- 1:20:49Speaker 6: Done.
- 1:20:50Speaker 12: I haven't tested it out, so I don't know if
- 1:20:52Speaker 12: it still needs a lot of work, if it's there yet,
- 1:20:54Speaker 12: but I love the idea. Your next Uber may not
- 1:20:57Speaker 12: have an Uber driver, so getting into a car with nobody.
- 1:21:01Speaker 12: driving barely feels weird anymore, like because, you know, Arizona,
- 1:21:03Speaker 12: we were the first ones to have Waybos, right?
- 1:21:06Speaker 9: So we see self-driving cars all the time.
- 1:21:08Speaker 12: But now Uber wants to make that experience way more
- 1:21:11Speaker 12: common everywhere else. They've got a new partnership that could
- 1:21:14Speaker 12: eventually put tens of thousands of fully autonomous cars onto
- 1:21:17Speaker 12: the Uber app. Still a little ways away, but it's
- 1:21:20Speaker 12: their plan to make that happen, which I would think
- 1:21:22Speaker 12: a lot of Uber drivers don't really love.
- 1:21:23Speaker 3: You know what I heard? I heard that statistically speaking,
- 1:21:26Speaker 3: because of Waybos, so car accidents... are way down, and
- 1:21:32Speaker 3: it's eventually going to affect the lawyers that are promoting
- 1:21:36Speaker 3: car accidents, because most of the car accidents that happen
- 1:21:38Speaker 3: with Waymos are human error. Is that interesting? So it's like,
- 1:21:42Speaker 3: the more Waymos out there driving, there's going to be
- 1:21:44Speaker 3: less car accidents.
- 1:21:45Speaker 2: And a lot of new cars have that accident avoidance,
- 1:21:48Speaker 2: like it won't let you... It'll slam the brakes before.
- 1:21:50Speaker 9: But then you see the Waymo's driving the wrong way.
- 1:21:52Speaker 9: And you're like, what?
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:21:54Speaker 3: I guess that's a small, small, small percentage.
- 1:21:56Speaker 10: My friend actually was just riding in a Waymo. She
- 1:21:59Speaker 10: was telling me a story at happy hour the other day.
- 1:22:01Speaker 10: She was driving and the tire blew out on the Waymo.
- 1:22:05Speaker 10: But it was kind of like going towards the airport.
- 1:22:07Speaker 10: So another Waymo. couldn't come and pick her up so
- 1:22:10Speaker 10: she had to actually call for an uber because the
- 1:22:13Speaker 10: uber could actually specifically go to that location and she
- 1:22:16Speaker 10: was like waving down the driver just on the side
- 1:22:18Speaker 10: of the airport that's insane yeah and the tire i
- 1:22:20Speaker 10: mean that thing was blown out like she was on
- 1:22:23Speaker 10: the freeway that could have been bad.
- 1:22:24Speaker 12: The robots haven't got it down just yet what do
- 1:22:28Speaker 12: we do what do we do Budweiser and Dickies have
- 1:22:31Speaker 12: teamed up on a new clothing collection. The coolest piece
- 1:22:34Speaker 12: is actually like a jacket that you literally can't buy.
- 1:22:37Speaker 12: You can't buy it. They're only making 100 of them.
- 1:22:40Speaker 12: And the only way to get it is to nominate
- 1:22:43Speaker 12: an everyday hardworking hero on their social media.
- 1:22:46Speaker 9: By September 21st. That's cool. Which I think is pretty cool.
- 1:22:48Speaker 2: We can make these jackets.
- 1:22:50Speaker 12: You can't even buy these jackets. Mesa, you guys, just
- 1:22:53Speaker 12: approved a $ 3 billion city within a city. They just
- 1:22:57Speaker 12: announced this today. Their new Legacy Park and Gateway Crossing
- 1:23:00Speaker 12: project near Gateway Airport is planned to bring upscale.
- 1:23:02Speaker 9: Shopping, restaurants, hotels, offices, a huge public space. All this
- 1:23:07Speaker 9: is coming to the Southeast Valley, which is pretty cool.
- 1:23:10Speaker 12: Construction isn't expected to start until 2028, but they're literally
- 1:23:14Speaker 12: calling this a generational project that could completely change the area.
- 1:23:20Speaker 12: They think they're going to get some of the traffic
- 1:23:21Speaker 12: that Scottsdale and Phoenix get.
- 1:23:23Speaker 9: Because of this. Which could be.
- 1:23:25Speaker 12: Just a reminder, Chance the Rapper is at Arizona Financial
- 1:23:27Speaker 12: Theater tonight.
- 1:23:28Speaker 9: Tonight's the night.
- 1:23:29Speaker 12: Show starts at 8 o'clock. Just remember, traffic downtown gets insane.
- 1:23:32Speaker 12: And that's the show starts at 8.
- 1:23:33Speaker 3: Are you calling Peyton?
- 1:23:35Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:23:36Speaker 10: Oh, I am like so incredibly excited for this tour.
- 1:23:40Speaker 10: I've already picked out my outfit. I am channeling like
- 1:23:43Speaker 10: my inner 2016. Oh, I'm pumped.
- 1:23:45Speaker 9: Yeah, because it's the coloring book, 10-year anniversary to it,
- 1:23:47Speaker 9: which is pretty awesome. And that's what you need to know.
- 1:23:50Speaker 3: So last night, I was pretty excited about our friend
- 1:23:54Speaker 3: Gino Plager.
- 1:23:55Speaker 9: Yeah. He did awesome.
- 1:23:57Speaker 3: He was on America's Got Talent last night, so I
- 1:23:59Speaker 3: decided to watch it. I put it on, and the
- 1:24:03Speaker 3: first act is this dance aerobics team with dogs, and
- 1:24:08Speaker 3: it's a really good act. And I don't know what
- 1:24:09Speaker 3: the winner gets of America's Got Talent, if it's also
- 1:24:12Speaker 3: a gig in Vegas or But I was like, okay,
- 1:24:14Speaker 3: they're really good, but can that sustain a gig in Vegas?
- 1:24:17Speaker 3: So that's how I was mentally looking at it, right?
- 1:24:19Speaker 3: Then they had another magician on. And I thought that
- 1:24:21Speaker 3: magician was mid. I didn't think he was that great.
- 1:24:24Speaker 3: I thought he seemed uncomfortable. And then I was like, well,
- 1:24:27Speaker 3: let me wait for Gino. Because Gino and I were
- 1:24:28Speaker 3: DMing about stuff. So I was like, let me wait
- 1:24:30Speaker 3: for Gino. And then I look at the guide and
- 1:24:32Speaker 3: it's a couple things. One, the episode's two hours long. Two,
- 1:24:37Speaker 3: they go to commercials. I'm like, I just want to
- 1:24:40Speaker 3: fast forward. It's such a. You're not used to watching
- 1:24:43Speaker 3: a live TV show. So then I went to bed
- 1:24:45Speaker 3: and I don't know if he made it or not.
- 1:24:47Speaker 3: Do we know how he did, how he made it?
- 1:24:48Speaker 3: We don't know. But you said he did so good
- 1:24:50Speaker 3: last night.
- 1:24:50Speaker 9: Yeah, because I saw the video.
- 1:24:51Speaker 12: I just thought I just saw literally the video of
- 1:24:53Speaker 12: his trick and I thought it was amazing.
- 1:24:56Speaker 9: The winner gets a million dollars.
- 1:24:58Speaker 12: So it's not a Vegas show, but I'm sure they
- 1:25:00Speaker 12: have like literally exposure now that the Vegas shows will
- 1:25:03Speaker 12: be like.
- 1:25:03Speaker 3: What do you got, Nick? Did he make it? I mean,
- 1:25:06Speaker 3: we'll find out tonight. Oh, they don't do it then
- 1:25:08Speaker 3: and there. They don't do it. They don't do it.
- 1:25:10Speaker 3: And they have to get all the voting? Like a
- 1:25:11Speaker 3: full day of voting, and then they'll do the announcement. Okay, well,
- 1:25:15Speaker 3: if you can still vote, vote for him.
- 1:25:16Speaker 10: What I loved, though, like when he did his final, like,
- 1:25:20Speaker 10: act for the semifinal last night, he gave a forks
- 1:25:23Speaker 10: up to the camera.
- 1:25:24Speaker 3: Oh, he did?
- 1:25:24Speaker 9: Yeah, he was like forks up. Yeah, and it was
- 1:25:26Speaker 9: like all his ASU buddies in the crowd. All of
- 1:25:27Speaker 9: his friends in the crowd. I thought that was so cool,
- 1:25:29Speaker 9: and I was like, way to show.
- 1:25:31Speaker 3: Us some love. It's magicians like him that make me
- 1:25:34Speaker 3: think that magic isn't a trick, it's real. Because the
- 1:25:37Speaker 3: trick he did, I was like, what the heck?
