- 0:45Speaker 2: learned something new about Dylan. I think it's great that
- 0:48Speaker 2: she's in here till we're all gonna learn something new
- 0:50Speaker 2: about Dylan.
- 0:51Speaker 3: Okay, you guys, yeah, let's do it.
- 0:53Speaker 2: I've never met anyone in person that works for that
- 0:57Speaker 2: app called Rover and you do I do really like
- 1:01Speaker 2: still do?
- 1:01Speaker 4: Yeah, yes, wild My sister had like the worst experience
- 1:06Speaker 4: using that. Like she had some Yeah, she had someone
- 1:09Speaker 4: come to her house, and he was like, is it
- 1:11Speaker 4: okay if I just so you know, like take a
- 1:13Speaker 4: couple of meetings at your house and like had met
- 1:15Speaker 4: like meetings and there's like, my son's just gonna come
- 1:19Speaker 4: over and like spend the night in your bedroom if
- 1:21Speaker 4: that's cool, And she was like not really. He just
- 1:24Speaker 4: took her and like yeah, literally like and then had
- 1:27Speaker 4: his entire like like, oh, I would think it'd be
- 1:29Speaker 4: okay if you're staying at the house, like maybe have.
- 1:32Speaker 5: Your kids over or you know, for a dinner or something.
- 1:34Speaker 4: I think I get that, but it was like literally
- 1:37Speaker 4: like business meetings and like people in and out the
- 1:40Speaker 4: house all day do it. They were gone, they were
- 1:43Speaker 4: out of the country.
- 1:45Speaker 3: Oh my god, Like.
- 1:48Speaker 2: You, being a person that works for Rovert Dylan, is
- 1:50Speaker 2: that acceptable? Is there a There's a.
- 1:54Speaker 1: Few different kinds of services you can offer, so like
- 1:57Speaker 1: you can come and stay in people's houses night and stuff,
- 2:01Speaker 1: or you can just come and do drop ins, or
- 2:03Speaker 1: you can have their dog come and stay in your
- 2:05Speaker 1: house for night. So there's like all sorts of different
- 2:07Speaker 1: things you can do. Usually I don't do the ones
- 2:09Speaker 1: where I'm sleeping at people's house, but I'll come in,
- 2:11Speaker 1: like if they're out of town and check on the dogs,
- 2:13Speaker 1: like a few times a day. But I've never done
- 2:17Speaker 1: that where I've like and sometimes I'll bring a friend,
- 2:19Speaker 1: but I always clear it with the person first.
- 2:22Speaker 5: It depends, so like puppies, you get a little.
- 2:24Speaker 1: Bit more because there there's actually let me pull it
- 2:28Speaker 1: up right now, Rover takes a decent amount of it.
- 2:31Speaker 1: I'm not even gonna lie to.
- 2:32Speaker 4: You, like, next time I'm going out of town, Dylan,
- 2:35Speaker 4: you can stay at.
- 2:35Speaker 3: My probably offered that service. I not know this. So
- 2:41Speaker 3: you guys got to get to know the people that
- 2:43Speaker 3: work here.
- 2:45Speaker 4: I feel like, I know, I don't really ever get
- 2:46Speaker 4: to talk to.
- 2:48Speaker 1: I'm so I'm so back of house. I feel like
- 2:51Speaker 1: I'm not a very yaffing as much. Let me pull
- 2:53Speaker 1: up my uh my Rover rates here. Let's see service settings. Okay,
- 2:58Speaker 1: drop in visits so okay, so it's on my profile,
- 3:04Speaker 1: it's twenty three dollars per visit, but I get sixteen.
- 3:07Speaker 1: And then when there's like an extra dog, it kind
- 3:09Speaker 1: of like compounds. And then when it's a puppy, there's
- 3:11Speaker 1: like a little.
- 3:12Speaker 2: Bit more okay, but like if for a weekend, would
- 3:14Speaker 2: you say twenty three dollars a visit, that's every time
- 3:17Speaker 2: you go back.
- 3:18Speaker 3: To the house.
- 3:18Speaker 1: I'm doing one right now. I can tell you guys
- 3:20Speaker 1: about the one that I have in progress. So I
- 3:23Speaker 1: only have to go once a day. They're super chill.
- 3:25Speaker 1: I have to just check on them.
- 3:26Speaker 5: Basically.
- 3:27Speaker 1: A lot of them that I've been getting is like
- 3:30Speaker 1: they have automatic food, they have automatic water, but they
- 3:32Speaker 1: just need someone to come in and like give them
- 3:34Speaker 1: some pets and play with them a little bit, okay,
- 3:36Speaker 1: And so I'm literally checking.
- 3:37Speaker 5: In on them once a day. It is six days total,
- 3:40Speaker 5: and I'm getting two hundred dollars.
- 3:41Speaker 3: That's pretty good for literally.
- 3:43Speaker 5: Just stopping by once a day for like fifteen minutes.
- 3:46Speaker 1: She doesn't like dogs m out on them out on
- 3:48Speaker 1: the rover take but I'm sure that's I mean, that's
- 3:50Speaker 1: a great little side us.
- 3:51Speaker 5: So I'm all for that.
- 3:52Speaker 3: I would go for.
- 3:53Speaker 2: Kids, real, I mean I always I would do that.
- 3:57Speaker 5: Would be like if you had.
- 3:57Speaker 1: A dooros is it just dogs or do they I've
- 4:00Speaker 1: done cats, I've done you can do all the but.
- 4:03Speaker 2: Is it like the food pickup thing. It's in your area.
- 4:07Speaker 2: So it's like you you say, this is where I live,
- 4:09Speaker 2: so just with it.
- 4:09Speaker 1: It's across the file and I have like, yeah I can.
- 4:14Speaker 1: I can set my service radius too.
- 4:16Speaker 3: So how long you've been doing it.
- 4:18Speaker 1: I've been doing it since I was like fifth or
- 4:20Speaker 1: well maybe sixteen, so I could ride. Well, I've always
- 4:23Speaker 1: had dogs, and so I figure I'm getting paid to
- 4:25Speaker 1: do what I would be doing in my house anyway.
- 4:27Speaker 3: Which have you ever had mishap or something.
- 4:29Speaker 1: A mishap like a dog by yoh my god.
- 4:34Speaker 5: Yes, I have the best stories. So I did it a.
- 4:38Speaker 1: Lot when I was at school, and so I had
- 4:40Speaker 1: this one at Santa Clara.
- 4:41Speaker 5: It was this super big dog.
- 4:43Speaker 1: He was so cute, but he was massive, and so
- 4:45Speaker 1: I basically just had to take him over to like
- 4:47Speaker 1: the park next door kind of let him play a
- 4:50Speaker 1: little bit, but he was really strong. So one of
- 4:53Speaker 1: the days, so I had the keys and I took
- 4:55Speaker 1: him out and he chewed through his leash and we're
- 4:59Speaker 1: not and a great part of town, and so he
- 5:02Speaker 1: starts running through the field. There's children like on the
- 5:05Speaker 1: other side, so this dog, so I'm literally just watching
- 5:07Speaker 1: him or in the park, he chews off his leash
- 5:09Speaker 1: and just takes off running, and I'm just sitting there
- 5:11Speaker 1: and I was like, uh, so I start like running
- 5:15Speaker 1: after him, right, and I'm like full sprinting in this field.
- 5:17Speaker 1: I'm trying to get to him before he gets the
- 5:19Speaker 1: kids over there, Like I.
- 5:20Speaker 5: Don't know what the hell's going about.
- 5:21Speaker 1: Why why he was he was like one of those
- 5:24Speaker 1: crazy big dogs, right, Like he can kind of tackle
- 5:26Speaker 1: me the floor.
- 5:27Speaker 5: Every time I came.
- 5:28Speaker 1: So I'm running after this dog, this like stranger had
- 5:30Speaker 1: to come help me. I didn't have a leash to
- 5:32Speaker 1: bring him back, and so I I had to put
- 5:35Speaker 1: him in my car so I could go get another leash,
- 5:38Speaker 1: like because I had to put him somewhere, Like it
- 5:41Speaker 1: was such a long time ago that it's so fuzzy
- 5:43Speaker 1: for me. But I was already like having a bad day,
- 5:46Speaker 1: and so then I have to sprint after this dog
- 5:48Speaker 1: and like put him in my car. Hope he doesn't
- 5:50Speaker 1: tear up on my seats while I go get another
- 5:52Speaker 1: leash and like put him back. Oh yeah, because I
- 5:54Speaker 1: had dropped the keys while I was chasing him through
- 5:57Speaker 1: this field. I dropped the keys to the house, and
- 6:00Speaker 1: so I was like, I didn't have anywhere to put
- 6:02Speaker 1: him while I'm looking for these keys. So anyways, I
- 6:05Speaker 1: have had a mishap. I had to text the girl
- 6:07Speaker 1: and be like, there's no more leashes because that was
- 6:09Speaker 1: actually the second time he had to through leash.
- 6:11Speaker 3: So that's a good story. I don't know, it's the best.
- 6:13Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 6:14Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm like it.
- 6:23Speaker 4: She felt the emotions you already was having.
- 6:26Speaker 5: That happens, and she's got to tell the lady.
- 6:28Speaker 2: I mean the fact you got to chase this giant
- 6:30Speaker 2: dog through a field as it's going to after maybe
- 6:33Speaker 2: go after kids.
- 6:33Speaker 3: I get it was really and then.
- 6:34Speaker 5: I lost the keys and I could get back to
- 6:36Speaker 5: the house. I know, I request you. Yeah, that's what works.
- 6:43Speaker 3: So you go to Rover. Oh.
- 6:44Speaker 2: So it's not like, hey, I need a dog sitter
- 6:46Speaker 2: and they find one in your vicinity. You say I
- 6:47Speaker 2: want Dylan to be my dogs.
- 6:49Speaker 1: You can basically set like your vicinity what they want,
- 6:52Speaker 1: and then a bunch of sitters.
- 6:54Speaker 4: Will come back.
- 6:54Speaker 2: I'd have a dog sitter come and then and I'd
- 6:57Speaker 2: be home and I'd kind of wait, and when they
- 6:58Speaker 2: walk in the house, I'd be like skidding out of
- 7:00Speaker 2: the shower.
- 7:00Speaker 3: Oh god, sorry, what's wrong with you?
- 7:02Speaker 1: Oh?
- 7:03Speaker 3: Sorry, I know I forgot to tell you. What's the
- 7:04Speaker 3: day you're forgeting my dog? Hello?
- 7:06Speaker 5: This post.
- 7:06Speaker 1: I did have to wait at the door for like
- 7:08Speaker 1: five minutes. I was just standing there like what because
- 7:11Speaker 1: I was sexy. I was like, I'm here, and I
- 7:13Speaker 1: could hear them kind.
- 7:13Speaker 5: Of shuffling, so they're home when I came. I usually
- 7:16Speaker 5: will come to meet them first.
- 7:18Speaker 3: Fascinating. Yeah, what a fascinating story. Yeah.
- 7:21Speaker 2: In fact that you've done it for such a long time,
- 7:23Speaker 2: what a good side hustle.
- 7:25Speaker 1: I've been doing this puppy actually for the past few weeks.
- 7:28Speaker 1: It's like a German shepherd puppy. Sometimes there's someone home,
- 7:31Speaker 1: so I do get kind of because sometimes there are
- 7:32Speaker 1: people home, but.
- 7:33Speaker 5: Like it's just lazy dog or something.
- 7:36Speaker 4: I don't know, but maybe they're working from home and they
- 7:38Speaker 4: just get the puppy what it needs.
- 7:39Speaker 5: I've had babysitting like that too, where they're literally home.
- 7:42Speaker 5: But I actually want me to come hang.
- 7:44Speaker 2: I have five dogs and I've got you know, five
- 7:47Speaker 2: people with the kemp's girlfriend in town. We're all at
- 7:49Speaker 2: the house. I'm gonna kept Dylan come for a walk
- 7:52Speaker 2: while we're all dinner.
- 7:54Speaker 5: Oh hello Dylan in the closet.
- 8:00Speaker 2: Oh well, thank you Dylan. Now the Folds are going
- 8:02Speaker 2: crazy and you're sitting here talking to us. That's a
- 8:04Speaker 2: good story, John Jay and Rich
