  Speaker 1: you and your family to join along with me in prayer.

  Speaker 1: And I want to pray that the Lord will cover

  Speaker 1: our children. Father God, in the mighty, matchless, and powerful
• 0:18
  Speaker 1: name of Jesus, we come before you today standing in
• 0:21
  Speaker 1: the gap for our children. Lord, they are precious gifts
• 0:25
  Speaker 1: that you entrust to us, and we need your hand
• 0:29
  Speaker 1: of protection over their lives. God, we can't be everywhere
• 0:32
  Speaker 1: they go. We can't see everything that they face or
• 0:36
  Speaker 1: shield them from every danger, but Lord, you can. You can.
• 0:41
  Speaker 1: So Father, cover our children under the shadow of your wings.
• 0:45
  Speaker 1: Cover our babies, our teenagers, our young adults, our grown children.

  Speaker 1: No matter how old they become, they will always be
• 0:54
  Speaker 1: our babies and we will always need your grace to
• 0:57
  Speaker 1: cover them. Your word declares in Psalms 121, seven through eight,
• 1:01
  Speaker 1: that you will keep us from all harm and watch
• 1:04
  Speaker 1: over our coming and our going. So Lord, watch over
• 1:08
  Speaker 1: our children when they leave home and when they return,
• 1:10
  Speaker 1: protect them On the highways, God, in their schools, on
• 1:15
  Speaker 1: college campuses, in their workplaces, in their neighborhoods, and in
• 1:19
  Speaker 1: every place their feet may carry them. Oh, God, we
• 1:22
  Speaker 1: come against violence, against abuse, exploitation, addiction, destructive relationships, depression,
• 1:28
  Speaker 1: suicidal thoughts, God. peer pressure, and every danger threatening their physical, emotional,
• 1:35
  Speaker 1: or even their spiritual well-being. God, give them discernment to
• 1:38
  Speaker 1: recognize danger. Give them courage to walk away from wrong choices. God,
• 1:43
  Speaker 1: give them wisdom to make decisions that protect their future. Lord,
• 1:47
  Speaker 1: when we can't reach them, Lord, we know that you
• 1:50
  Speaker 1: can reach them. When we cannot see what they're facing, God,
• 1:54
  Speaker 1: see them through. When they're hurting, Oh, but having told
• 1:58
  Speaker 1: us about it, send someone who will listen. Send someone
• 2:02
  Speaker 1: who will love them. Send someone that will help them
• 2:04
  Speaker 1: find support that they need. Pursue them, God, with your mercy.

  Speaker 1: Draw our children closer toward your truth and remind them
• 2:13
  Speaker 1: that their lives have purpose and immeasurable value. And Father,

  Speaker 1: today we lift up parents who have had to bury
• 2:20
  Speaker 1: their children or preparing to bury their children. Oh, God,
• 2:24
  Speaker 1: hold them close. There are mothers who still listen for
• 2:28
  Speaker 1: a voice they will never hear again, and fathers carrying
• 2:31
  Speaker 1: grief they don't know how to express. There are parents
• 2:34
  Speaker 1: facing birthdays, holidays, and anniversaries with an empty chair and
• 2:38
  Speaker 1: a broken heart. Jesus, Lord, comfort them in the midnight
• 2:43
  Speaker 1: hours when the tears won't stop. Sit with them in
• 2:46
  Speaker 1: the silence. Strengthen them, God, when getting out of bed
• 2:49
  Speaker 1: feels impossible. When they don't have the words to pray,
• 2:55
  Speaker 1: let your Holy Spirit intercede for them. Surround them with
• 2:59
  Speaker 1: people who will not rush their grief, minimize their pain,
• 3:02
  Speaker 1: or expect them to be strong every day. Father, we
• 3:06
  Speaker 1: know that faith does not mean we never grieve. Even
• 3:10
  Speaker 1: Jesus wept. So give these parents permission to mourn. Grace
• 3:15
  Speaker 1: to take one day at a time and hope for
• 3:18
  Speaker 1: the moments when breathing through the pain feels like a victory. Lord,
• 3:24
  Speaker 1: protect the children who are still here. Comfort the families
• 3:27
  Speaker 1: who are grieving and help us cherish every moment we
• 3:31
  Speaker 1: have with the people that we love. God, we place
• 3:34
  Speaker 1: our children in your hands, Lord, because your hands are
• 3:37
  Speaker 1: stronger than ours. Keep them, God. Guide them, cover them,
• 3:41
  Speaker 1: and surround them with your love. In the mighty, wonderful,
• 3:44
  Speaker 1: powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen, amen, and amen.
