- 0:04Devotional conversations rooted in Scripture and relevant for
- 0:07today, March 20th. Truth that sets you free.
- 0:13It can be tempting to think that a small lie is no big.
- 0:16Deal a little. Exaggeration.
- 0:18A hidden detail, A version of the story.
- 0:20That makes you look better. In the moment, dishonesty can
- 0:24feel easier than truth. It can seem safer, quicker and
- 0:27less painful, but lies never stay small for long.
- 0:31They grow, they complicate they. Weigh down the heart.
- 0:35Truth may feel costly at first, but it.
- 0:37Leads to freedom. Proverbs, chapter 12.
- 0:40Verses 19 to 20 says truthful lips endure.
- 0:43Forever. But a lying tongue is but for a
- 0:46moment, truth lasts. Because it is.
- 0:48Rooted in the character of God. Lies fade.
- 0:52Because they cannot carry the weight of reality for long.
- 0:55Then Psalm. Chapter 34 verse 4 says.
- 0:58I sought the Lord, and He answered me and delivered me
- 1:01from all my fears. That reminds us that many lies
- 1:04are rooted in fear. Fear of rejection, fear of
- 1:08consequences, fear of not measuring up.
- 1:11But when we seek the Lord, He meets us in those fears with His
- 1:14presence and help and judges. Chapter one, verse 19 tells.
- 1:19Us that Judah faced real obstacles even with.
- 1:21God's presence that is honest and important.
- 1:25Following God does not mean there will be no challenges, it
- 1:29means He is with us in them. Sometimes the.
- 1:32Hardest part of. Telling the truth is not the.
- 1:34Truth itself, it is trusting God with what comes.
- 1:37After will people understand? Will there be?
- 1:39Consequences Will this make things?
- 1:42Harder before they get better. Those are real.
- 1:45Questions. But freedom begins where hiding
- 1:47ends. Truth clears the air.
- 1:49Truth rebuilds trust. Truth aligns your heart with.
- 1:52God. And when obstacles remain, like
- 1:55they did in judges. Truth.
- 1:57Keeps you grounded. You do not have to pretend
- 1:59something is easy when it is hard.
- 2:01You do not have to fake strength.
- 2:04You can be honest about your fears and still move forward in
- 2:07faith. God is not asking you to be
- 2:09fearless on your own. He is asking you to seek Him
- 2:13first and trust that His truth is stronger than your fear.
- 2:16A truthful life. Is not a perfect life, it is a
- 2:19surrendered life. A life that says.
- 2:22Lord, I want what is real, what is clean, and what honors you.
- 2:26That kind of life may not always look easy.
- 2:28But it will be free. Let's.
- 2:30Pray Heavenly Father, thank you that your truth is steady and
- 2:34your. Presence drives out fear.
- 2:36Help me to choose honesty, even when it feels difficult.
- 2:40Deliver me from the fear that leads to hiding, pretending, or
- 2:43compromise. Teach me to seek you first.
- 2:46Trust you with. Every obstacle and walk in the
- 2:49freedom that comes from truth in Jesus name, Amen.
