- 0:24Speaker 2: Well, why are you saying that?
- 0:26Speaker 3: What happened last break? What do you?
- 0:28Speaker 1: Uncle?
- 0:28Speaker 3: Steve looked at me and said you gaining weight? Then
- 0:30Speaker 3: Tommy said, my hat getting tight?
- 0:32Speaker 2: That's that's Did that hurt your feelings?
- 0:35Speaker 3: Jr? Not them? No, they say that all the time.
- 0:37Speaker 3: Come on here with no feeling.
- 0:39Speaker 2: You ain't bemotion here. It doesn't mean it didn't hurt
- 0:46Speaker 2: its feelings.
- 0:47Speaker 1: That's all with.
- 0:47Speaker 3: Its not long, didn't hurt your feelings. I'm I bet
- 0:51Speaker 3: the next one will. That's your gold. Yeah, long, you've
- 0:56Speaker 3: been doing that, Steve.
- 0:59Speaker 1: I got a question for you. Okay, I'm gonna say
- 1:03Speaker 1: two words to you. Miss Blanding. You talked about Miss Blandon.
- 1:07Speaker 1: You know you've talked about her, You've told us about her.
- 1:10Speaker 1: She said something to you when you were growing up,
- 1:13Speaker 1: when you were in school. She was one of your teachers,
- 1:15Speaker 1: right elementary school teacher.
- 1:17Speaker 3: Yeah, Well, she told me I won't gonna never be none,
- 1:19Speaker 3: she told me.
- 1:20Speaker 1: Yeah, she told me would never and words are powerful
- 1:23Speaker 1: words she heard.
- 1:24Speaker 3: She told me I wouldn't be on TV because I studied.
- 1:27Speaker 3: M h And ain't nobody gonna sit there and take
- 1:30Speaker 3: all that time waiting on you to say so? Yeah,
- 1:35Speaker 3: And but you know it motivated me. Here's what I
- 1:41Speaker 3: would advise people. Okay, every time and every time you
- 1:45Speaker 3: run into a stomach block or setback or a negative person.
- 1:49Speaker 3: Mm hmm, you don't have to drink the kool aid. Okay,
- 1:55Speaker 3: you know you can take that that you do. You
- 1:57Speaker 3: can take what they tell you and turn it into motivation.
- 2:02Speaker 3: And I've done that many times in my life. Like
- 2:06Speaker 3: you know, if a person tells me I don't believe
- 2:09Speaker 3: you can do that, I'll tell you what you need
- 2:11Speaker 3: to do now is you need to get a chair
- 2:13Speaker 3: and pull it up and watch this, cause now I'm
- 2:17Speaker 3: gonna show you. And I've just learned that in my
- 2:20Speaker 3: life that I take all negatives and used them as
- 2:25Speaker 3: a positive. And it started back then because I told
- 2:30Speaker 3: it to my daddy and my daddy said, how she know?
- 2:34Speaker 3: You know, my father was just simple. He didn't how
- 2:36Speaker 3: she know? She ain't made you boy, you be anything
- 2:44Speaker 3: you wanna be. And then he just walk off, And
- 2:46Speaker 3: I just needed that little dip of encouragement. But you know,
- 2:49Speaker 3: you're gonna have people that's gonna shoot you down the
- 2:51Speaker 3: whole time. I mean, and now we live in a
- 2:54Speaker 3: fallen world where it's everything is it's fadder. Everything is
- 3:02Speaker 3: up for critique. You can put a brand new baby online.
- 3:06Speaker 3: Somebody got something negative to say about a brand new baby.
- 3:10Speaker 3: You can post a picture of your family. Somebody got
- 3:13Speaker 3: something to say about your family. What about the fact
- 3:17Speaker 3: that I'm with my family? I posted a picture one
- 3:21Speaker 3: time we was on vacation where his other kids at
- 3:25Speaker 3: My kids. My youngest child is twenty eight. They got lives.
- 3:32Speaker 3: They don't go everywhere we go. They don't We don't
- 3:35Speaker 3: take them everywhere we go. Everybody don't get invited everywhere
- 3:38Speaker 3: we go. But you can. I don't care what you do.
- 3:42Speaker 3: Somebody gonna have something neggatives say. You ain't gonna make
- 3:45Speaker 3: it show them. I don't think you right for the part,
- 3:51Speaker 3: let me read for it. I don't think they're gonna
- 3:55Speaker 3: pick you. Well, I'm we're gonna go down here and see.
- 4:00Speaker 3: Use all the negative as motivation in your life. Find
- 4:03Speaker 3: yourself a way to get to where you're going. Because
- 4:07Speaker 3: let me tell you something, then they say or may
- 4:09Speaker 3: be just what you need. Sometimes you need opposition because
- 4:17Speaker 3: it strengthens you. You know, people tell me. You know,
- 4:22Speaker 3: it's like a seed. A seed is covered in dirt, right,
- 4:29Speaker 3: But now you can look at this one of two ways.
- 4:32Speaker 3: That seed is either buried under the dirt or it's
- 4:36Speaker 3: planted in the dirt. Those are two different things. Now,
- 4:40Speaker 3: so when people throwing dirt on you, they can think
- 4:44Speaker 3: they burying you all. They won't. Oh I've been a
- 4:49Speaker 3: victim of that so many times. Oh man, old man,
- 4:53Speaker 3: oh man, oh man, oh man. I'm gonna give you
- 4:55Speaker 3: an example of something that happened to me, the Missuniverse debacle.
- 5:01Speaker 3: That hole said the wrong name thing. I've told the
- 5:05Speaker 3: story many times, but that ain't the story, you know.
- 5:07Speaker 3: The thing that really got to me was the number
- 5:11Speaker 3: of people who jumped on the bandwagon. Now, look, I
- 5:15Speaker 3: said the wrong name. I can't I can't. I can't
- 5:19Speaker 3: remove that. But the number of people that I thought
- 5:23Speaker 3: was cool with me who were making going online, just
- 5:28Speaker 3: making statements. Man, I didn't know he was that stupid.
- 5:31Speaker 3: How could he do that? That's never happened before. And
- 5:35Speaker 3: what it did was instead of it allowing me while
- 5:39Speaker 3: they was putting that dirt on me, like I didn't
- 5:41Speaker 3: need to really feel no worse than I did. But
- 5:44Speaker 3: after they started piling all that dirt on me and
- 5:46Speaker 3: they thought they was burying me with it. Oh, man,
- 5:50Speaker 3: do you know I heard statements like his TV career
- 5:52Speaker 3: is over, nobody will hire him after this? How many
- 5:55Speaker 3: times I heard that? But you know the takeaway? You
- 5:58Speaker 3: know the good thing about it. The people I thought
- 6:03Speaker 3: I was cool with, I ain't had to fool with
- 6:06Speaker 3: them no more. I didn't have to put on the
- 6:09Speaker 3: fake smiles no more. I didn't have to act like
- 6:11Speaker 3: we was all right I had to. I didn't have
- 6:13Speaker 3: to pretend to remember them. I got you. Thank you, man,
- 6:18Speaker 3: Thank you. Thank you for showing up and showing me
- 6:20Speaker 3: who you really are. Now I know, and it really
- 6:23Speaker 3: trimmed a lot of fat out my life that day,
- 6:25Speaker 3: That mistake I made trimmed a lot of fat off
- 6:28Speaker 3: my life. It got a lot of people out my
- 6:30Speaker 3: contact list, so sometimes when something negative happens to you,
- 6:35Speaker 3: happens for a reason. You need all that keep ahead up,
- 6:38Speaker 3: keep moving. His most important thing, y'all need to know
