- 0:00Speaker 1: Jesus Christ.
- 0:02Speaker 2: If one law person tells me he looks nice.
- 0:07Speaker 3: I guess that I'll just set on my own eyes.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Fine, gentleman, blind.
- 0:15Speaker 1: Joy, you have no idea, But what's going on? Everybody?
- 0:24Speaker 1: I hope we're already. I'm the one, the only the
- 0:26Speaker 1: w O O K I E. Hopefully everybody comes through
- 0:30Speaker 1: with the sound you guys ready, everybody ready, fantastic. We
- 0:34Speaker 1: got the guy who's better than you.
- 0:36Speaker 2: Cole, Robbie, Yeah, I am the best this episode, for.
- 0:40Speaker 1: Sure, nothing better than a C minus student Dexter. Hello, everybody,
- 0:47Speaker 1: and that guy loves Felix.
- 0:50Speaker 4: I'm on a boot.
- 0:51Speaker 1: He's on a boat or a boot or a boat.
- 0:55Speaker 1: Nobody knows. I am currently trying to get to Baltimore,
- 0:59Speaker 1: so we're figuring that out as we go.
- 1:05Speaker 2: Are you are you walking to Yes?
- 1:07Speaker 1: I am walking to Baltimore. I have my computer on
- 1:11Speaker 1: my back and I am walking to Baltimore. Did you
- 1:17Speaker 1: hear it.
- 1:17Speaker 5: All right, Forrest? Yes, I heard the car passing.
- 1:22Speaker 2: It was wonderful.
- 1:28Speaker 1: Cole, tell us what we're doing. We're doing a thing today.
- 1:31Speaker 2: Yeah. So I guess nobody understood anything I said. So
- 1:36Speaker 2: instead of blaming others, I should realize that the common
- 1:40Speaker 2: issue is me, and I guess I need to prefer.
- 1:43Speaker 6: Your expectations are too high.
- 1:46Speaker 2: Yeah, there we go. H So, in a trial by Frost,
- 1:52Speaker 2: we did a spoiler sode and it took way too
- 1:57Speaker 2: dang long one so that went over like ninety percent
- 2:02Speaker 2: of the cards was over two hours.
- 2:04Speaker 1: And it was two episodes.
- 2:06Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, we had to finish up with another episode.
- 2:11Speaker 2: So for the moment Felix is sitting in a cupboard
- 2:14Speaker 2: for some reason, but for I guess the first time, Dexter,
- 2:22Speaker 2: are you listening, I am listening. Okay. So I had
- 2:28Speaker 2: each of them minus Wookie, I guess, send me their
- 2:33Speaker 2: top five cards from Whispers from the Mace. I thought
- 2:38Speaker 2: this would be an interesting way to give people a
- 2:42Speaker 2: breakdown of what cards are most likely going to be prominent,
- 2:47Speaker 2: or the most played, or we think are the best.
- 2:50Speaker 2: And I took all of those lists the mine, Felix's
- 2:54Speaker 2: and Dexter's, and I looked at them on the side.
- 2:59Speaker 2: I made sure to do my list before looking at theirs,
- 3:01Speaker 2: so that I wasn't influenced. And my plan was to
- 3:06Speaker 2: talk about the cards that overlap, because if there's a
- 3:11Speaker 2: card that was on the top five three different times.
- 3:17Speaker 5: Obviously that means it's.
- 3:18Speaker 2: A pretty good card, right, Yeah, that sounds right, yep.
- 3:24Speaker 3: Or we're all or we're all bad players.
- 3:28Speaker 2: Well, so this is this is how it really went,
- 3:31Speaker 2: which this will be fun. I picked five cards, and
- 3:36Speaker 2: I don't want to throw Felix under the bus, but
- 3:38Speaker 2: he misunderstood what I said at first and picked.
- 3:42Speaker 3: Cards I definitely did, like horribly.
- 3:45Speaker 2: Picked cards not in Whispers from the Maze, and I felt.
- 3:48Speaker 3: Bad, exactly, not a single one.
- 3:51Speaker 2: He put together a nice graphic and everything, and I
- 3:54Speaker 2: was like, oh, I meant cards from Whispers from the Maze.
- 3:59Speaker 3: So then it took me like thirty minutes. It wasn't
- 4:02Speaker 3: so bad.
- 4:02Speaker 2: Yeah, After I got the list from Felix, uh, I
- 4:08Speaker 2: did mine, and then I put them all together on
- 4:11Speaker 2: a tab and I went back and I looked at
- 4:13Speaker 2: Dexter's and he does not have five at all in
- 4:17Speaker 2: any faction. He picked like two cards and in half
- 4:21Speaker 2: of the factions he missed some very good cards and
- 4:25Speaker 2: also just put no I didn't.
- 4:28Speaker 1: Yes he did. We're just gonna go with the dead.
- 4:33Speaker 2: Uh, We're gonna go through the ones that that showed
- 4:36Speaker 2: up on our lists.
- 4:37Speaker 5: The most.
- 4:37Speaker 2: We're gonna talk about the card for a moment, and
- 4:41Speaker 2: then if we have time, we'll have a why did
- 4:46Speaker 2: you type Requiem?
- 4:48Speaker 6: Yes, because that's multiple that happens multiple times.
- 4:51Speaker 2: No, it's not.
- 4:52Speaker 5: I did not put Requiem on.
- 4:53Speaker 6: My list, but Felix did.
- 4:55Speaker 5: Did Felix put Requiem?
- 4:57Speaker 4: It was a last minute edition and it went from
- 5:00Speaker 4: five to shoot.
- 5:01Speaker 2: Okay, shoot, you're right you did.
- 5:03Speaker 5: I was looking at your pictures doubt.
- 5:05Speaker 3: Okay, all right, it was another one as well. There
- 5:08Speaker 3: were two cards. It was Requiem and one.
- 5:09Speaker 6: More License with it License withdrawal. And that also is
- 5:13Speaker 6: an overlap if you're if you're going to update the notes,
- 5:18Speaker 6: keep it with the format.
- 5:19Speaker 5: Bro oh yeah yeah, these these kids.
- 5:24Speaker 2: Anyways, So after we go over the cards and how
- 5:30Speaker 2: often they showed up, like Requiem times two means that
- 5:34Speaker 2: two people put it on their list. At the end
- 5:37Speaker 2: we have time, if we don't take too long, we're
- 5:40Speaker 2: going to have like a boss battle or whatever you
- 5:44Speaker 2: call it, where each person can pick one more card
- 5:50Speaker 2: from each faction to add them to our list, and
- 5:54Speaker 2: they'll have like time to argue why this card is
- 5:57Speaker 2: great or whatever. All right, make makes sense to everybody, sure. Yeah,
- 6:04Speaker 2: all right, so starting with axiom, I think this is
- 6:09Speaker 2: one of only two to three cards that we all
- 6:12Speaker 2: put on our list.
- 6:14Speaker 5: I'm pretty sure it's also on wookies list now.
- 6:17Speaker 1: Of course it is. It's always on my list. Everything's
- 6:20Speaker 1: on my list.
- 6:21Speaker 2: Yeah, it is the Grims in aph Yeah. Uh so,
- 6:26Speaker 2: who wants to tell us about the Grims?
- 6:29Speaker 1: They're gremblins? Oh? Sorry, that they're they're two to two
- 6:35Speaker 1: for one two two less. It's a rare that it's
- 6:38Speaker 1: a two to two for a two two two you
- 6:42Speaker 1: can choose up to one discard targeted permanent with hand costs?
- 6:47Speaker 1: Is that three or less?
- 6:49Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 6:50Speaker 1: Okay, it's a little fuzzy on my screen, or sacrifice
- 6:54Speaker 1: a permanent if you do create a brass bug two
- 6:57Speaker 1: to two robot token in target expedition. The only difference
- 7:02Speaker 1: between that the rare is the rare says you can
- 7:04Speaker 1: discard a permanent with hand cost five or less.
- 7:08Speaker 3: Yep.
- 7:08Speaker 6: And then the rare that's in the Bravos is the
- 7:10Speaker 6: same as the common version. So you know, but when
- 7:13Speaker 6: you play it from hand, it doesn't do much from hand,
- 7:17Speaker 6: because you know, the the main abilities only from reserve,
- 7:19Speaker 6: but two two for a two for a one two
- 7:24Speaker 6: two is perfectly fine. And then when you play it
- 7:26Speaker 6: from reserve you can pick one of those great abilities
- 7:29Speaker 6: and get benefits from it.
- 7:30Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I'm sorry, did I.
- 7:35Speaker 2: And in Axiom, as we know, very often there's a
- 7:39Speaker 2: lot of resupplying or putting cards from your hand into reserve,
- 7:46Speaker 2: so very good. In Bravos not as much of that.
- 7:52Speaker 2: But then yeah, like Dexter said, a two cost one
- 7:56Speaker 2: two two from hand and then having that ability is
- 8:00Speaker 2: not bad at all, even in Bravos. I'm not sure
- 8:05Speaker 2: it will see much play just because of the rare
- 8:08Speaker 2: slot and then it how it's played around.
- 8:12Speaker 5: But you never.
- 8:13Speaker 6: Yeah, I doubt. I doubt we'll see much play in Bravos.
- 8:16Speaker 6: But it's a great card and sealed or draft if
- 8:18Speaker 6: you run that Bravos rare or you know, I would
- 8:22Speaker 6: most Axiom decks I see will probably run the common
- 8:26Speaker 6: grims I would. I would assume. Yeah, it's a very
- 8:33Speaker 6: solid to two cost, which is small and good sized.
- 8:38Speaker 2: The next card in Axiom showed up on two of
- 8:44Speaker 2: our lists, and that is tech Lab, and I think
- 8:49Speaker 2: Dexter is the one that didn't put tech Lab because
- 8:52Speaker 2: he's no cool but Felix, you want to tell us
- 8:56Speaker 2: about tech Lab and.
- 8:57Speaker 1: Why I first saw you. Okay, so number one, I
- 9:00Speaker 1: totally thought you said heck Lab, And I'm like, is
- 9:04Speaker 1: there an inside joke? I don't know. I thought there
- 9:08Speaker 1: might have been an inside joke. I didn't know. But
- 9:10Speaker 1: can we just talk about how cool it is that
- 9:12Speaker 1: the Gremlins from the Gremlins are in this game? Can
- 9:15Speaker 1: we just could we just take a minute and discuss that,
- 9:19Speaker 1: Like how dope that is?
- 9:21Speaker 2: You think these are mogwise?
- 9:23Speaker 1: Well, I mean at one time they were, but they
- 9:25Speaker 1: were clearly fed after midnight and now our Gremlins.
- 9:30Speaker 5: I now have a perfect song for this episode.
- 9:33Speaker 1: You could share it with me later, but like, can
- 9:36Speaker 1: we just talk about that for a second, like something
- 9:38Speaker 1: I totally like? That was not on my twenty twenty
- 9:40Speaker 1: five altered Bingo card. I don't know if it was
- 9:45Speaker 1: on your guys, but it definitely wasn't on mine.
- 9:48Speaker 2: No. I appreciate the reference you're making, but to me,
- 9:54Speaker 2: it just gives me more World of Warcraft vibes.
- 10:00Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 10:01Speaker 2: I don't think the flavor text is a reference to Gremlins.
- 10:06Speaker 1: The flavor text, dude, look at them on the bottom right.
- 10:13Speaker 1: That is the gremlin from Gremlins too. I patch it all, Yes.
- 10:20Speaker 5: Gremlins two.
- 10:22Speaker 3: He is a man with the quotes, so he knows
- 10:24Speaker 3: what he's saying the quotes.
- 10:25Speaker 1: I don't know. Like the quote is not yeah it's
- 10:28Speaker 1: not demolition but basic recycling or so they say. I
- 10:31Speaker 1: don't know where that quote comes from, but I will
- 10:35Speaker 1: that like, that is totally the gremlins from Gremlins two.
- 10:38Speaker 1: Bottom right. They look just like Gremlins. I am now
- 10:43Speaker 1: going to google, let's say, gremlin with ipeace. I'm pretty
- 10:50Speaker 1: sure it is from Gremlins too. That didn't help me.
- 10:54Speaker 1: Maybe it's eye patch.
- 10:57Speaker 2: I'm only finding a gremlin with shiny glasses.
- 11:03Speaker 1: There was definitely a gremlin with an eye patch.
- 11:07Speaker 2: There. Their ears are very gremlin like, just not color
- 11:13Speaker 2: wise for the most part.
- 11:14Speaker 1: And look at those one here you go. This one's
- 11:16Speaker 1: even got a chainsaw.
- 11:19Speaker 2: I would not be surprised if they have some inspiration.
- 11:25Speaker 5: From grim Good.
- 11:27Speaker 1: That one he's got a chainsaw and he's got hair.
- 11:31Speaker 2: Is that from multiverses? That looks like it's from multiverse?
- 11:34Speaker 1: I have no idea, but these legit are gremlin. I
- 11:37Speaker 1: don't know what are there Gremlins and World of Warcraft.
- 11:42Speaker 2: So there's a raid in there's a raid in World
- 11:48Speaker 2: of Warcraft that's like steampunky and it has I forgot
- 11:56Speaker 2: what it's called, but the hard art just reminds me
- 12:03Speaker 2: of that a lot. And then there's always like gremlins
- 12:07Speaker 2: and goblins and all sorts of things.
- 12:09Speaker 1: Run whatever the Gremlins from the Gremlins. That's my story
- 12:13Speaker 1: and I'm sticking to it. On to the tech Foundry,
- 12:16Speaker 1: tech Unit Lab, tech lab Unit. Sorry, I'll get there eventually.
- 12:20Speaker 1: It's like naming my kids. I'll just I'll just shuffle
- 12:22Speaker 1: the words to ones, right.
- 12:24Speaker 2: Yeah, Oh, do you want to tell us about tech lab?
- 12:27Speaker 1: Sure, it's a three three with three supply. Play me
- 12:33Speaker 1: in your landmark zone. I can't gain fleeting is it's
- 12:39Speaker 1: kind of standardized text and your reserve limit is increased
- 12:42Speaker 1: by one. That's pretty dope. The rare is a two
- 12:45Speaker 1: to two the resupply same thing, and then this goes
- 12:50Speaker 1: over in elyra as well.
- 12:53Speaker 3: Yeah, is gonna be pretty big.
- 12:57Speaker 1: I think so, and.
- 13:00Speaker 3: I actually am.
- 13:02Speaker 4: The amount of times that my reserve always goes over
- 13:05Speaker 4: to is astronomical.
- 13:09Speaker 6: But still I don't like for sure Okay, I see
- 13:13Speaker 6: the rare and Lara getting some play.
- 13:15Speaker 2: Maybe, yeah, I was, I was gonna say I would
- 13:18Speaker 2: be a good amount of money that that. This is
- 13:22Speaker 2: gonna definitely see play in.
- 13:24Speaker 6: I just don't like playing something that doesn't give me
- 13:27Speaker 6: immediate stats. Is the problem? Like especially that three calls
- 13:31Speaker 6: playing the wrong game Dexter.
- 13:35Speaker 1: It doesn't anymore playing the long game? What is this?
- 13:39Speaker 2: I said wrong?
- 13:42Speaker 6: But definitely I don't like it.
- 13:46Speaker 1: This is definitely playing the lawn game right, like planning
- 13:50Speaker 1: for the future right like Dexter doesn't Dexter. Don't do that.
- 13:56Speaker 6: No, I want to win now fast and get as
- 13:58Speaker 6: many points as possible.
- 14:01Speaker 3: You gotta play hooked then that's just like I got
- 14:04Speaker 3: to do.
- 14:05Speaker 2: Also, very good card, and Felix uses it very well Inlyral.
- 14:10Speaker 1: I just I always get nervous with permanence because they
- 14:14Speaker 1: just they feel so fragile.
- 14:19Speaker 6: They're less fragile than anything else.
- 14:22Speaker 3: I think this one is good.
- 14:23Speaker 6: One doesn't want to remove it.
- 14:26Speaker 4: I think this one is good for the fact that
- 14:28Speaker 4: it does resupply when it comes into play, so it
- 14:31Speaker 4: gives you a card by playing it.
- 14:34Speaker 3: The rare one might not see a lot.
- 14:36Speaker 4: Of play in axiom, maybe in subash because you completely
- 14:40Speaker 4: turn one and trace. Not sure, but I can see
- 14:45Speaker 4: that maybe the three costs one the common one, even
- 14:49Speaker 4: in maybe some really random ro Sierra dex just because
- 14:51Speaker 4: it does create a breast too.
- 14:53Speaker 6: That that common tech lab I think will get run
- 14:56Speaker 6: in a lot of Sierra builds, and that rare lyra
- 15:00Speaker 6: clab will get run in a lot of finds. But
- 15:02Speaker 6: I don't see any of those being run anywhere else.
- 15:06Speaker 4: I see the rare one in sebash because he can
- 15:09Speaker 4: play a turn one. You can get a bug and
- 15:11Speaker 4: play the tech La two.
- 15:14Speaker 2: You uh. You got to also think about the fact
- 15:18Speaker 2: that it's too manna to resupply, which is already like
- 15:22Speaker 2: your benefit. And for as long as it lasts, you'll
- 15:26Speaker 2: have your reserve increased by one.
- 15:29Speaker 4: And if your opponent does decide to do something to it,
- 15:32Speaker 4: then it did his work.
- 15:34Speaker 3: It kind of baited a removal.
- 15:35Speaker 1: To its removal, not like the worst thing in the world.
- 15:40Speaker 1: Like I guess, I don't know.
- 15:42Speaker 6: That's good.
- 15:43Speaker 1: Well, just not always get a little nervous.
- 15:48Speaker 2: What a lot of people are going to be looking for.
- 15:51Speaker 2: Even more now, is it also satisfies landmark permanent requirements.
- 15:59Speaker 6: And then the axioms are already running these anyways of
- 16:03Speaker 6: the comments is already running permanence and stuff.
- 16:07Speaker 4: One of the comments he plays a lot of Zubash
- 16:10Speaker 4: and he does play the Bravo Shan which does resupply.
- 16:16Speaker 4: This would resupply, and you have Frankenstein which will let
- 16:20Speaker 4: you resupply when coming in from reserve too, so gives
- 16:24Speaker 4: you a lot of resupply options.
- 16:27Speaker 6: Resupply spam is good and for uniques, uniques have a
- 16:31Speaker 6: lot of them have that requirement, So the more ways
- 16:34Speaker 6: to satisfy those the better.
- 16:37Speaker 4: And the supportability is that let you activate a permanence
- 16:40Speaker 4: from anywhere triggers.
- 16:43Speaker 2: Yeah, I just realized it makes more sense to do,
- 16:47Speaker 2: uh the additional card argument in each faction.
- 16:53Speaker 5: So uh, Dexter, you put Dredge.
- 16:57Speaker 2: Or Drone on your list? Why why that one? And
- 17:03Speaker 2: why not drill Male, which is obviously better.
- 17:08Speaker 6: Let me find these cards that you're talking about.
- 17:13Speaker 1: One two two. When played from reserve, you can spend
- 17:17Speaker 1: one of its boosts to resupply.
- 17:21Speaker 6: Yeah. Yeah, because I like the dreader Drone because you know,
- 17:26Speaker 6: after two days in reserve the at noon, it's going
- 17:30Speaker 6: to get big. Then you play it for three, you
- 17:32Speaker 6: can spend one boost to get a resupply, so you're
- 17:36Speaker 6: only paying three mana to get a resupply, And like,
- 17:40Speaker 6: what would that be? Three five five for stats, three
- 17:46Speaker 6: four four for steps.
- 17:47Speaker 2: Oh, so I agree that you saw that drill male
- 17:50Speaker 2: had a zero, so you just didn't even read it.
- 17:53Speaker 2: Probably it's right under dredgor drone if you're looking.
- 17:57Speaker 1: At Yeah, they're literally right on top of each other.
- 18:02Speaker 2: Now.
- 18:02Speaker 1: I don't read much French, and that's what the next
- 18:04Speaker 1: two are in.
- 18:06Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure it says from any card you control,
- 18:09Speaker 2: you can spend the boost, but.
- 18:13Speaker 1: Carte cave us reserve saboteur.
- 18:22Speaker 6: That's why I didn't pick tjord Rone because I couldn't
- 18:24Speaker 6: read it couldn't read. I didn't because I can't.
- 18:27Speaker 1: You're not taking you're not taking French in college.
- 18:31Speaker 3: No, I thought it was an altar DOTGG.
- 18:37Speaker 2: The full database has not updated yet.
- 18:42Speaker 3: No, but I vaguely remember reading that one in there.
- 18:44Speaker 3: And if it wasn't in there, it was in a
- 18:46Speaker 3: demo deck.
- 18:47Speaker 2: Yeah, I think it's in the demo deck. We might
- 18:50Speaker 2: be able to go to the demo deck and see
- 18:51Speaker 2: if I'm right.
- 18:53Speaker 1: But Okay, you know, the more I'm reading this, I
- 18:55Speaker 1: don't know. I'm I don't want to say this. I'm
- 19:00Speaker 1: kind of leaning towards Dexter m.
- 19:04Speaker 2: I think the.
- 19:06Speaker 6: Drones better you may spend on.
- 19:11Speaker 1: Aren't these very These are very similar cards? Am I missing?
- 19:14Speaker 4: Well?
- 19:14Speaker 1: Because I let you say, either resupplier sabotage. I guess
- 19:19Speaker 1: is sabotage.
- 19:22Speaker 6: No, I like resupply.
- 19:24Speaker 1: I guess well, sabotage.
- 19:26Speaker 6: It depends where you are, what axiom deck you're it depends.
- 19:30Speaker 6: But Fredgord Drone does also have better stats.
- 19:35Speaker 2: Yeah, so Dexter just goes by the stats. Uh, drill
- 19:39Speaker 2: Mole is not actually in the demo deck. Uh see
- 19:46Speaker 2: the hard part is, uh, you're kind of alone on that.
- 19:52Speaker 2: But also uh, Felix is alone on whatever he picked.
- 19:58Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I don't know if we can add Dredger
- 20:04Speaker 2: Drone Felix.
- 20:05Speaker 1: Felix picked Icarus.
- 20:08Speaker 7: No, that's icky, all right, Well we'll have uh and
- 20:16Speaker 7: Doorvian the resident Axiom player in the live chat, let
- 20:22Speaker 7: us know if Frederick Drone or driller Mole gets added.
- 20:27Speaker 5: Is that the is drill Mole the one I want
- 20:30Speaker 5: to fight for?
- 20:32Speaker 3: Well?
- 20:32Speaker 1: Why not both?
- 20:35Speaker 2: Because that's the point of the episode.
- 20:38Speaker 1: I mean, you do you do get you know, you
- 20:41Speaker 1: do get thirty eight cards in a deck. This has
- 20:45Speaker 1: got to be better than some of the other Axiom
- 20:47Speaker 1: trash that's out there.
- 20:49Speaker 2: Now. You don't get thirty eight cards in this episode though.
- 20:52Speaker 1: No, we don't. This is this is true. This is it.
- 20:55Speaker 1: That is true.
- 20:56Speaker 2: But all right, Felix, what are what are you fighting
- 21:03Speaker 2: to add to the list because you have more options
- 21:06Speaker 2: than Dexter, who only picked two.
- 21:10Speaker 1: So we have a we have a vote for the drone.
- 21:12Speaker 1: Malla is going to be more important. No, that's not
- 21:19Speaker 1: that's not what the chat says. The chat said he likes,
- 21:27Speaker 1: which I don't know. Like, does Axiom have a lot
- 21:30Speaker 1: of ways to refill.
- 21:33Speaker 6: Cardro bill, Yeah, plenty of cardro It's mostly.
- 21:40Speaker 1: Yeah, it is mostly reply.
- 21:43Speaker 5: Yeah, they have enough resupply already?
- 21:46Speaker 1: Do they have enough? Can you ever have enough?
- 21:49Speaker 2: Yeah? Because if you are the action that can cycle
- 21:54Speaker 2: your deck four times in a game, I think you
- 21:56Speaker 2: have enough.
- 21:57Speaker 1: But like, does this not be out a different resupply card?
- 22:02Speaker 1: Are we fighting for the for the for the resource slot.
- 22:07Speaker 5: Well, that's not what we're answering.
- 22:09Speaker 1: We're just oh, yeah, You're right, we're not answering, we're
- 22:11Speaker 1: not asking you that question.
- 22:12Speaker 2: Okay, all right, Felix, what one card are you fighting
- 22:16Speaker 2: to add.
- 22:17Speaker 4: To the list between those two or between the ones
- 22:21Speaker 4: that I wrote, between.
- 22:22Speaker 2: The ones that you wrote that are already on the list.
- 22:26Speaker 3: Okay, so the list currently, So which list the one
- 22:31Speaker 3: that's under you?
- 22:33Speaker 2: So m yeah, we have in axiom. We now have
- 22:36Speaker 2: the grams, tech Lab and drill Moll.
- 22:40Speaker 6: So you put down Abby, Efrin and Efan essence.
- 22:44Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 22:44Speaker 4: I like a friend personally, but I'm a weird player
- 22:48Speaker 4: just for the fact that this is one of the
- 22:50Speaker 4: really rare scalt cards that pace for itself. So earny game,
- 22:56Speaker 4: you can scout with it for two mana and use
- 23:00Speaker 4: it sabotage or resupply, which it's random, but it's still okay,
- 23:05Speaker 4: and then later on you get play for three for
- 23:07Speaker 4: its four four four stats. But even if you play
- 23:10Speaker 4: it late game for five, or play it early game
- 23:13Speaker 4: for two and then three, you're still paying for the
- 23:15Speaker 4: total of five mana anyways, so he's paying for himself
- 23:19Speaker 4: early or late game.
- 23:22Speaker 2: All right, you're gonna pick Efrin instead of Abby to
- 23:25Speaker 2: fight for I like Abby.
- 23:28Speaker 1: Two I'm a big fan. It's a problem.
- 23:31Speaker 2: I think you have a better chance of getting my
- 23:34Speaker 2: vote if you pick Abby from your list.
- 23:37Speaker 1: I think.
- 23:39Speaker 3: One on.
- 23:43Speaker 1: How many were you gonna with five?
- 23:46Speaker 4: I do like the fact that Abby as well can
- 23:49Speaker 4: be used with stuff.
- 23:51Speaker 3: Like the Kila is a kill and hive, not the
- 23:55Speaker 3: bug hive. No, not the bug hive. The three man
- 24:01Speaker 3: permanent cylinder Yeah no, not cylinder. Cylinder is good though, too.
- 24:06Speaker 2: Brass bug hub instead of five the.
- 24:08Speaker 3: Brass bug hub. You can use it with a brass
- 24:10Speaker 3: bug hub.
- 24:11Speaker 4: You can use it with the cylinder as well, So
- 24:15Speaker 4: there's already a couple of cars already that you can
- 24:17Speaker 4: use it with. You can also use it with the
- 24:19Speaker 4: newer ones. They're gained and counters by doing specific things.
- 24:24Speaker 4: So yeah, I'll probably go with Abby.
- 24:26Speaker 2: All right, easy, easy inclusion Abby, because I agree, and
- 24:31Speaker 2: Endorvian already agrees in the live chat. Also as a reminder,
- 24:39Speaker 2: we are not trying to come up with a list
- 24:41Speaker 2: of five because we can't get there with how we're
- 24:46Speaker 2: playing the game. It's just at the end of each
- 24:49Speaker 2: faction you are fighting for one card that isn't on
- 24:53Speaker 2: the list currently to see if it can get added
- 24:55Speaker 2: or not.
- 24:57Speaker 6: So I failed in my mission, is what I'm doing?
- 25:00Speaker 2: Yes, you failed. My drill Mole took out priority and
- 25:04Speaker 2: then Abby Abby made it from Felix.
- 25:06Speaker 1: So we got our five for Axiom.
- 25:12Speaker 6: We have four for but moving on to Bravos, so
- 25:17Speaker 6: we got the Grims, tech Lab, Drill Male, and Abby
- 25:19Speaker 6: for top Axiom cards that are cool and solid.
- 25:24Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 25:24Speaker 6: Correct?
- 25:25Speaker 2: So have have none of you guys ever played like
- 25:28Speaker 2: Boss Battle or any of those other games.
- 25:30Speaker 3: No, nope, different card games.
- 25:33Speaker 1: Never heard of it.
- 25:35Speaker 2: The basic concept is like if I draw card and
- 25:38Speaker 2: I have Superman, and you draw card and then you
- 25:42Speaker 2: have spider Man. Your goal is to convince everyone or
- 25:48Speaker 2: me that Spider Man would win, and my goal is
- 25:51Speaker 2: to convince that Superman would win.
- 25:53Speaker 1: Got it.
- 25:54Speaker 6: Well, that's a pretty easy battle right there.
- 25:57Speaker 2: It is spider Man would win.
- 26:00Speaker 6: Sure, Sure, let's go with that.
- 26:02Speaker 2: Spider Man literally one of the strongest heroes ever. And
- 26:07Speaker 2: all you need to do is just get some space
- 26:09Speaker 2: rock and chuck it at Superman.
- 26:13Speaker 1: Some stupid space rock.
- 26:17Speaker 2: Do you get it? Now?
- 26:18Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 26:18Speaker 2: I do.
- 26:19Speaker 1: Okay, Now I understand how we're playing the game. Now
- 26:22Speaker 1: that I understand the rules, I'm in Okay.
- 26:24Speaker 2: All right, so Bravos Duel of Grit was a three.
- 26:33Speaker 2: So we all agreed that Duel of Grit is a
- 26:36Speaker 2: top five Bravos card.
- 26:38Speaker 6: Top tier card.
- 26:40Speaker 2: It's it might be the best new card in.
- 26:45Speaker 6: The best removal card.
- 26:49Speaker 2: It might be. Vernie is still out. But if you
- 26:52Speaker 2: do not know what Duel of Grit is, it is
- 26:56Speaker 2: a two costs from hand and a two cost from
- 27:02Speaker 2: reserve spell. It does have leading, but it is in
- 27:08Speaker 2: the common send to reserve target character with hand cost
- 27:13Speaker 2: less than or equal to the hand cost of a
- 27:16Speaker 2: character you control. The rare it just upgrades that to
- 27:21Speaker 2: discard instead of send to reserve. Incredibly great in at Saudi,
- 27:32Speaker 2: pretty dang good at any in anyone else. And it
- 27:38Speaker 2: is oof into.
- 27:41Speaker 5: Lyra and the art is really cool.
- 27:44Speaker 2: It's a Fiora against Saudi in a sword battle.
- 27:50Speaker 6: Who's the other one?
- 27:51Speaker 2: Filay? What do you say? Yeah?
- 27:54Speaker 6: One of the characters that one of the characters from
- 27:56Speaker 6: the set.
- 27:56Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, that you should have seen. But you saw it.
- 27:59Speaker 6: I didn't all that one reading it. No, I did
- 28:02Speaker 6: see that one. I thought it was fine. That almost
- 28:05Speaker 6: made it to the list.
- 28:06Speaker 2: All right, Uh, yeah, we're we're all in agreement there,
- 28:12Speaker 2: so yes, no, grit is great. The next one that
- 28:16Speaker 2: made it to the list was this is how you
- 28:19Speaker 2: say the name? So remember Ifa, who made it on
- 28:24Speaker 2: two lists. Those two were me and Felix and not
- 28:31Speaker 2: Dexter of course. Uh, Felix, what does Ifa do and
- 28:37Speaker 2: why did you pick Ifa?
- 28:40Speaker 4: So EFA is a five hand five reserved costs five
- 28:45Speaker 4: four five with Scout, and from anywhere you can you
- 28:52Speaker 4: may have another target character who's fleeting and gain a boost.
- 28:56Speaker 3: The rare just reduces the Scout to one manner.
- 29:00Speaker 4: I personally really really like it because it's helping hand
- 29:03Speaker 4: on a body, and in characters like Asadi that automatically
- 29:09Speaker 4: gets you already a card draw as soon as the
- 29:13Speaker 4: game starts.
- 29:15Speaker 3: And just the fact that it's a helping hand on
- 29:17Speaker 3: a body. You can play it later too.
- 29:21Speaker 2: So expensive, Uh, Scout is really what you're using for. Yeah,
- 29:29Speaker 2: when you get to the later.
- 29:31Speaker 5: Game, you just do it again. Yeah, very good card.
- 29:35Speaker 2: I would say it did very well during the demo
- 29:40Speaker 2: deck tournament, but it was picked twice, so it makes
- 29:44Speaker 2: it to the list.
- 29:45Speaker 6: So it is just expensive.
- 29:48Speaker 1: I'm gutta, so you stack this right, I play Scout
- 29:51Speaker 1: use the triggered ability to have a character loosely and
- 29:54Speaker 1: gave the boost, and then I'd send it to reserve.
- 29:57Speaker 2: Yep.
- 29:57Speaker 1: Yeah, being the active player you get to stack the
- 29:59Speaker 1: triggers the way you'd like. Correct.
- 30:03Speaker 2: Oh I did add cup of sap last.
- 30:05Speaker 5: Minute to mine, didn't I?
- 30:07Speaker 1: I just so what I mean late game? Then what
- 30:09Speaker 1: you just it just becomes a body on the field.
- 30:13Speaker 4: Yeah, but then yeah, it's already in reserve and assuming
- 30:17Speaker 4: if you are a if you are a player that
- 30:19Speaker 4: runs like Bravos, Haven and stuff, it does come in
- 30:21Speaker 4: with boosts on its own as well, and it can
- 30:24Speaker 4: still trigger by having something removed fleeting Again.
- 30:27Speaker 1: I got someone I have to hear the rest of
- 30:28Speaker 1: this list.
- 30:31Speaker 2: Yeah, you wookie, you're You're welcome to chime in with
- 30:34Speaker 2: which one is the coolest based on art? Uh?
- 30:39Speaker 1: Well, coolest based on art thus far as the Telarian Skater?
- 30:44Speaker 2: Oh yeah, skater is super dope.
- 30:47Speaker 1: Seems good too, right, pay one for a one boost?
- 30:52Speaker 2: It's pretty it's pretty good.
- 30:54Speaker 6: Yeah, it's fine.
- 30:55Speaker 1: And then it also who I was reading a card
- 30:58Speaker 1: in here too?
- 31:04Speaker 6: Oh it is chucking energy drinks.
- 31:06Speaker 2: It is Molatov energy drinks.
- 31:09Speaker 1: What makes you say they're molotov. They are not on fire.
- 31:12Speaker 2: I think it's just the liquid.
- 31:14Speaker 1: But I'm choosing to pick You're choosing to think it's fire.
- 31:17Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm choosing to pick that sheep fair enough.
- 31:20Speaker 1: What was the one that said that I can move
- 31:22Speaker 1: my boost when I go to reserve? Is that the excavator?
- 31:28Speaker 6: That's it. There's a whole bunch of axiom cards that
- 31:31Speaker 6: if you remove the boosts they do things.
- 31:33Speaker 1: Well, it was it was like, you can move your
- 31:35Speaker 1: boost once it goes to reserve, you can move. It's
- 31:37Speaker 1: the boost and Boosted token. I think that's the excavator. Yeah,
- 31:42Speaker 1: when I leave the Expedition token for each of my boosts,
- 31:45Speaker 1: another Tuget character in reserves gains one boost. That's not
- 31:49Speaker 1: quite it. I don't know what I was thinking of,
- 31:51Speaker 1: but I mean, I I dig the Skater. I don't
- 31:59Speaker 1: know how. I kind of like Spirit Wielder. Spirit Wilder
- 32:07Speaker 1: could ease like I think it could easily run away
- 32:10Speaker 1: on a turn one play.
- 32:13Speaker 2: What is Spirit Wielder.
- 32:14Speaker 1: No, it can't, can it. No, it'd have to be
- 32:16Speaker 1: the rare because it won't because on a turn one play,
- 32:20Speaker 1: Spirit Wielder gains one boost for each boosted character you control,
- 32:26Speaker 1: which I guess because it is. It is Bravos, so
- 32:29Speaker 1: you know, late game two it doesn't become a dead card,
- 32:34Speaker 1: but the rare automatically fulfills it, so it gives it
- 32:38Speaker 1: its boost and then it gives it another boost. Right, No, no, no,
- 32:42Speaker 1: it's got to be played if played from reserve, right
- 32:45Speaker 1: would pay from reserve? Yes?
- 32:48Speaker 2: I yeah, I think both rares are pretty good.
- 32:52Speaker 1: Oh yeah, the MOONA one is the rare excepted the.
- 32:56Speaker 2: Yeah, I just think there's any other good options. It
- 33:02Speaker 2: didn't make top five, but it is. It is a
- 33:04Speaker 2: good call out.
- 33:05Speaker 1: But I'm also a big fan of the Bravos pendic
- 33:09Speaker 1: car am I saying that?
- 33:11Speaker 2: Right? Yeah?
- 33:15Speaker 1: And if I have two or more boosts, sabotage at
- 33:18Speaker 1: Rest and the Rarest season, and I would say the
- 33:22Speaker 1: Rarest season so it keeps its boost same things, sabotage.
- 33:27Speaker 6: I think there's not enough boosting effects and.
- 33:31Speaker 1: Not enough boosting Bravos. Are you dumb?
- 33:33Speaker 6: Though not in the good bravostcks.
- 33:40Speaker 3: He's saying, Bestiero sucks.
- 33:44Speaker 2: I hate, but Sierra one that you wall I.
- 33:46Speaker 6: Hate this year so much is my worst enemy?
- 33:50Speaker 1: Am I stupid? There's not a lot of good boost
- 33:53Speaker 1: and Bravos.
- 33:55Speaker 6: To consistently get two boosts on a character, it's very
- 33:59Speaker 6: I don't know, I just.
- 34:00Speaker 1: See like it doesn't seem very difficult for Bravos.
- 34:07Speaker 2: Anyways, I was going to heavily consider the moona version
- 34:14Speaker 2: because we're so starved for sabotage, but then some other
- 34:19Speaker 2: cards came out and I think it pushed.
- 34:23Speaker 5: That out of consideration.
- 34:26Speaker 2: But yeah, no, it's Pendacar is an interesting card, could
- 34:30Speaker 2: be could be seen in some decks.
- 34:35Speaker 1: But that's really all. I like, Like, I'm not a
- 34:38Speaker 1: huge fan of the past. Everybody I know is looking
- 34:41Speaker 1: forward to Hestia.
- 34:43Speaker 2: Eh, No one likes Hestia.
- 34:46Speaker 1: It was very like lackluster reading it. Now, I'm like, eh,
- 34:51Speaker 1: you know, like that's not fun. None of the chefs
- 34:53Speaker 1: were like, oh my god, I was not a chefs Actually.
- 34:59Speaker 2: Eh, pastry Chef is pretty good.
- 35:05Speaker 1: I mean, I guess late game it's not bad, right
- 35:08Speaker 1: the common pastry chef. Yeah for five, I mean I
- 35:14Speaker 1: guess it gets good stats set of five and draws
- 35:16Speaker 1: a card.
- 35:18Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 35:21Speaker 6: Uh. Like the pastry chef.
- 35:24Speaker 1: Junior chef really didn't do much for me.
- 35:27Speaker 6: Nah, the rare is good, but it's not worth this lot.
- 35:33Speaker 1: Yeah, where were you moving on to Cup sat?
- 35:37Speaker 2: Yeah? Cup, so.
- 35:42Speaker 5: On their list.
- 35:43Speaker 2: I would also say it performed very well in the
- 35:47Speaker 2: demo deck tournament.
- 35:51Speaker 6: So Cup the rare is so strong.
- 35:55Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a very low cost. Well what that at
- 36:02Speaker 2: the common gives target character in reserve two boosts and
- 36:08Speaker 2: at the rear gives it three boosts. And then the
- 36:12Speaker 2: axiom version is the two boosts and it's always one
- 36:17Speaker 2: man of from hand and two from reserve. Very good card,
- 36:22Speaker 2: also cool art. I am worried what's going to happen
- 36:26Speaker 2: to people drinking the sap, But maybe maybe I'm just.
- 36:31Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 36:32Speaker 1: This scout ability has got me all sorts of like antsy.
- 36:38Speaker 1: Yeah there, I like it, but it's like what how
- 36:41Speaker 1: what's is it like theseus?
- 36:44Speaker 2: Right?
- 36:46Speaker 1: I kind of like the common theseus, but I'm like, man,
- 36:49Speaker 1: but he's an eight, Like that's pricey, you know, you know?
- 36:55Speaker 1: But I mean, for for three, you get to return
- 36:58Speaker 1: target character to its owner's hand. I mean a bounce
- 37:01Speaker 1: ability for three that doesn't seem bad.
- 37:05Speaker 3: Yeah it does.
- 37:05Speaker 4: Are a suddy draw a lot just within three plays,
- 37:11Speaker 4: so it's pretty good too, there.
- 37:13Speaker 1: I mean, and then you know the rare is I
- 37:16Speaker 1: don't know why the rare goes up to four scout
- 37:18Speaker 1: four kind of weird.
- 37:21Speaker 6: Send reserve instead of hand?
- 37:24Speaker 1: Is it better to say? I guess you get two
- 37:25Speaker 1: plays out of it if it sends it to hand,
- 37:27Speaker 1: and only one if you get it from reserve. Is
- 37:30Speaker 1: that worth the extra one in a raar slot though?
- 37:34Speaker 5: No, it depends, but is very good and out Saudi.
- 37:38Speaker 1: And then I got to read every gin that comes
- 37:40Speaker 1: across my desk because Cole Robbie has a thing for
- 37:43Speaker 1: gins only Tony only tiny gin. Wow whatever.
- 37:50Speaker 2: Swift Gin was probably like my sixth pick. It is
- 37:58Speaker 2: way better than men. It is a very good cost.
- 38:01Speaker 1: It seems pretty good. I mean for three you get
- 38:03Speaker 1: some ramp.
- 38:05Speaker 6: Yep, you have to do it for yourself though, what
- 38:10Speaker 6: do you mean what you have to put a card
- 38:13Speaker 6: from your reserve into the maniz Yeah?
- 38:15Speaker 1: Can you can you target itself? Can I target itself?
- 38:20Speaker 5: Yes?
- 38:20Speaker 1: Yes, yes, So basically for three you're putting swift Gin
- 38:24Speaker 1: in the Manason.
- 38:25Speaker 2: Yes.
- 38:25Speaker 1: Yeah, it seems pretty good.
- 38:30Speaker 3: That yes, yes, both abilities go into limbo.
- 38:34Speaker 4: You get the order they resolve, you send it to
- 38:37Speaker 4: reserve first, and then you're resolve, the one that sends
- 38:39Speaker 4: something from Reserve to Manta.
- 38:42Speaker 3: Just because it goes to Reserve doesn't mean they don't trigger.
- 38:44Speaker 6: It's left play now, you can still trigger the ability
- 38:48Speaker 6: after it's not in play anymore.
- 38:50Speaker 1: Do you get to stack the trilogy and the order
- 38:53Speaker 1: you watch.
- 38:54Speaker 3: Once they go into limbo?
- 38:57Speaker 6: I would still rather play the other sucky are then, though,
- 39:01Speaker 6: the one that costs to Mana, the spell that puts
- 39:04Speaker 6: the top card of your deck into Mana. No one
- 39:06Speaker 6: plays that, do they?
- 39:09Speaker 2: Actually?
- 39:10Speaker 3: A lot of people do. I played a bunch of
- 39:11Speaker 3: people already that have been playing it.
- 39:13Speaker 6: Mana channeling really yeah, Mana channeling a lot.
- 39:18Speaker 4: I seen a good amount of Asati's and uh bessiras
- 39:22Speaker 4: as well.
- 39:25Speaker 6: Huh. I just really don't like Mana channeling. I guess it's.
- 39:31Speaker 2: It's definitely if you're playing a Bravos Ramp deck, you
- 39:34Speaker 2: definitely use it. Yeah, there there are some very cool
- 39:38Speaker 2: things you're going to be able to do with swift gin.
- 39:43Speaker 2: You also gotta think that this joins the expedition technically right,
- 39:50Speaker 2: and it bounces to reserve, then you put it in Mana.
- 39:54Speaker 2: So if you have something that triggers upon something joining
- 39:57Speaker 2: the expedition or leaving the expedition. I am ninety nine
- 40:05Speaker 2: percent short. It will trigger.
- 40:07Speaker 1: Those yeah, trigger leaving of the expedition.
- 40:10Speaker 2: Yep.
- 40:11Speaker 4: The autofraction is an axiom, and I think it's a
- 40:14Speaker 4: pretty cool one for Tracete for example. Yeah, because it
- 40:18Speaker 4: will go into Mana and give trace the counter yep.
- 40:23Speaker 2: So uh it it almost made my top five. I
- 40:28Speaker 2: think Cup of Sets true.
- 40:30Speaker 3: I need to should it be in my axoum list?
- 40:34Speaker 2: I think Cup of sap is what kind of edged
- 40:37Speaker 2: it out? I could? I do have Hydra on my list,
- 40:42Speaker 2: which I could have removed. Hydra is so cool. The
- 40:48Speaker 2: art is great, and it's very good in at Saudi,
- 40:53Speaker 2: and it did. It did pretty well during the demo
- 40:57Speaker 2: deck tournament when it got going. So I will admit
- 41:03Speaker 2: that U Hydres maybe a little bit of a personality
- 41:07Speaker 2: higher for me.
- 41:10Speaker 1: Man, all these food counter ones they ain't tickle it
- 41:13Speaker 1: ain't tickle it nothing in me.
- 41:17Speaker 2: But we have three now in Bravos, so let's see.
- 41:22Speaker 5: Let me let me look at the list.
- 41:24Speaker 1: I mean we're pretty much gone through all of them
- 41:26Speaker 1: at this point, yxcept for the excavator. WHI should we
- 41:30Speaker 1: haven't have talked a little bit about the excavator. Not
- 41:33Speaker 1: a huge fan of the mess, like, just doesn't do
- 41:36Speaker 1: much for me. I don't feel anything for it.
- 41:39Speaker 2: Do you want to switch this to a full spoiler episode, wikie?
- 41:43Speaker 1: I mean, I'm just I'm kind of like I'm reading
- 41:45Speaker 1: a lot of these first glance, right because I've had
- 41:48Speaker 1: a hell of a week at work, and just like, okay,
- 41:52Speaker 1: when a character leaves an expedition, it gains a food counter,
- 41:55Speaker 1: all right, and then you spend three food counters to resupply.
- 41:58Speaker 1: Three seems like a lot, doesn't it. I mean, I
- 42:04Speaker 1: guess the character. The rare is spend four and you
- 42:07Speaker 1: draw card. But that's non token. So that's just when
- 42:15Speaker 1: a non token character that one seems worse than the common.
- 42:21Speaker 1: I don't know, just doesn't do much for me, and
- 42:23Speaker 1: this ste okay, but I don't I don't know. If
- 42:26Speaker 1: it's target character gains one boost characters of my expedition
- 42:30Speaker 1: are seasoned, it probably would be a good thing in Bravos.
- 42:38Speaker 3: That one is when the character dries an expedition.
- 42:40Speaker 1: Right, No, just target character gains one boost. Characters of
- 42:48Speaker 1: my expedition are seasoned. The rare you can pay one
- 42:52Speaker 1: to have target character gain one boost or lose fleeting.
- 42:57Speaker 2: Having your character seasoned is pretty good.
- 42:59Speaker 1: It is pretty good. And I mean obviously in Bravos,
- 43:03Speaker 1: which likes its boosts. You know, that's that's a thing
- 43:07Speaker 1: that can happen, especially.
- 43:09Speaker 3: If you use something like eat the energy bars.
- 43:16Speaker 1: But then yeah, you can pay one to have to
- 43:18Speaker 1: have target character gain one boost or lose fleeting. That
- 43:21Speaker 1: seems okay, that's you know, basically what the old fireball attack, right,
- 43:27Speaker 1: pay one to get one.
- 43:30Speaker 3: Yeah, pretty much.
- 43:32Speaker 1: Why does the sap look like beer?
- 43:36Speaker 2: It's like honeys aretrup weird stuff. But I don't know
- 43:41Speaker 2: they cook with it and make all others.
- 43:44Speaker 1: You know, I know, I've I've been poking around just
- 43:47Speaker 1: it's so weird. It's like it looks like beer in
- 43:50Speaker 1: some instances and looks like energy condoits in some instances,
- 43:55Speaker 1: and then I don't know. It's really strange.
- 44:00Speaker 2: The flavor text for the cup of Sap it says,
- 44:03Speaker 2: SAP beverages may not be everyone's cup of tea, but
- 44:07Speaker 2: they sure perk you up. Oh yeah, it's uh, it's
- 44:12Speaker 2: got something going on there.
- 44:14Speaker 1: It's drum. I'm sorry. That's the spoilers. That's the conclusion
- 44:19Speaker 1: Wookie's Cup too.
- 44:20Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 44:22Speaker 2: Does anyone want to fight for adding another specific card
- 44:27Speaker 2: to Bravos?
- 44:28Speaker 1: No, I want to move on to Lyra, the best faction.
- 44:34Speaker 2: Okay.
- 44:34Speaker 3: Cool.
- 44:35Speaker 5: I feel like we talked about a lot of Bravos.
- 44:37Speaker 1: We talked about all of Bravos there.
- 44:40Speaker 2: The only Lyra that showed up on multiple lists was
- 44:48Speaker 2: Mary Reunion and.
- 44:52Speaker 5: Was too. Did I put data list?
- 44:57Speaker 3: No?
- 44:57Speaker 2: I think.
- 45:00Speaker 3: I really really like data lists.
- 45:02Speaker 2: Yeah, I think data list.
- 45:03Speaker 5: I back and forth on for a second.
- 45:08Speaker 2: Sure, I made the uh the overlap section of this
- 45:15Speaker 2: a little late. I didn't get on the computer when
- 45:19Speaker 2: I was planning on it, so I think I missed some.
- 45:22Speaker 2: But okay, data lists and Mary Reunion.
- 45:27Speaker 5: Uh, do you want to tell us what those are?
- 45:29Speaker 2: Wookie?
- 45:30Speaker 1: Sure? Data list was A three from hand, three from
- 45:34Speaker 1: reserve zero three to three. When played from hand, target
- 45:38Speaker 1: character a targeted character in reserve, then roll a die
- 45:42Speaker 1: on a four plus. We both gained one boost on
- 45:44Speaker 1: A one through three, I gained one boost or it
- 45:46Speaker 1: gains one boost. The rare has scout one and then
- 45:52Speaker 1: when played from anywhere, target another character in play or
- 45:55Speaker 1: in reserve, then roll a Dice on a four plus
- 45:57Speaker 1: we both gained one boost. I don't want through three
- 46:00Speaker 1: it gains one boost rolling Dice, I love it.
- 46:08Speaker 3: But this data list has some pretty cool interactions though.
- 46:12Speaker 3: Let me see, I.
- 46:13Speaker 2: Think a lot of people have been excited about data lists,
- 46:18Speaker 2: and I think the fact that if you just upgrade
- 46:23Speaker 2: to the rare, you can do the ability for one.
- 46:28Speaker 5: And a car.
- 46:29Speaker 1: And it's not like there's not plenty of ways in
- 46:32Speaker 1: liraty it cars from your reserve back into your hand.
- 46:35Speaker 1: Those don't exist.
- 46:38Speaker 2: And uh, rolling, rolling a die and doing it for
- 46:42Speaker 2: one and getting a benefit no matter what happens, is
- 46:47Speaker 2: going to be very good in Lyra.
- 46:49Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, exactly.
- 46:52Speaker 2: Not to mention it triggers a rock because it has
- 46:54Speaker 2: a zero yeah yeah, yeah, I'm.
- 46:59Speaker 6: Still talking of a rock over there. Come on now.
- 47:02Speaker 4: Yeah, it's actually been playing with a lot of rock
- 47:04Speaker 4: recently too.
- 47:06Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 47:06Speaker 5: The most good to play in the game.
- 47:09Speaker 3: Hitting those winter Noahs were free is nice.
- 47:13Speaker 1: Well okay, I would say nobody liked Frin, but he's
- 47:16Speaker 1: kind of pricey.
- 47:18Speaker 2: Uh Mary reunion, what about that one reunion?
- 47:22Speaker 1: Two from hand, two from reserve resupply. If you put
- 47:26Speaker 1: a character in reserve this way, you may immediately play
- 47:29Speaker 1: it for two less, so basically your resupply. Oh I'm sorry,
- 47:36Speaker 1: and then the rare two from hand, one from reserve,
- 47:41Speaker 1: cool down resupply. If you put a character in a
- 47:47Speaker 1: reserve this way, you may then put it into hand.
- 47:53Speaker 6: I don't know why you would ever want the rare,
- 47:57Speaker 6: just I love the common though.
- 47:59Speaker 2: Yeah, cool car resupplying once again for two cost, as
- 48:03Speaker 2: we've said on another card, is not too pricey, and
- 48:07Speaker 2: you have the bonus benefit if you play a character,
- 48:12Speaker 2: you can play it for two less, very very very good.
- 48:16Speaker 2: You could end up with a you know, free character
- 48:21Speaker 2: and a resupply or two, or a resupply and a character.
- 48:26Speaker 5: For one blah blah blah.
- 48:29Speaker 2: And at first you're thinking, but wait, it's the same
- 48:31Speaker 2: character you resupply that you're playing.
- 48:34Speaker 5: That's I think in Lyra. That's totally fine.
- 48:38Speaker 2: Yeah, seeing more cards more good, especially with how Finn
- 48:42Speaker 2: plays right now. So if the worst case scenario is
- 48:47Speaker 2: you just resupply and nothing else, I think it's still fine. Yeah.
- 48:52Speaker 1: Yeah, man, I feel like Guira kind of got kind
- 48:55Speaker 1: of got a little bit.
- 48:58Speaker 2: You just gotta look longer.
- 49:00Speaker 1: I'm looking. I mean I kind of like Ephron right,
- 49:07Speaker 1: another rolling of the dice, and both seem good, kind
- 49:12Speaker 1: of pricey.
- 49:14Speaker 3: All three heroes too.
- 49:19Speaker 2: I have ya a card that I am absolutely going
- 49:24Speaker 2: to fight to add to the list.
- 49:26Speaker 1: I kind of like Lockshmi very educase though right, like
- 49:32Speaker 1: not terrible stats for three and if you are rolling
- 49:37Speaker 1: lots of dice, it could have huge upsides, you know.
- 49:41Speaker 1: One six gets you gets you some cards.
- 49:46Speaker 2: Uh.
- 49:50Speaker 1: Man in the mees again just pricey. I like the effect,
- 49:55Speaker 1: but seven and for seven and four, I'd rather pay
- 49:59Speaker 1: the four. But we only get it when it played
- 50:01Speaker 1: from hand, was played from anywhere. It'd be a lot
- 50:03Speaker 1: better played from hand. Remove all boost from characters and
- 50:06Speaker 1: play and in reserve. Then, depending on the number of
- 50:08Speaker 1: boosts removed this way, one through four, I gained two boosts.
- 50:12Speaker 1: Five through eight. Play a card with a handcofts three
- 50:15Speaker 1: or less for free nine plus my exhibedition moves forward
- 50:19Speaker 1: one region. I guess that could be pretty good. Yeah,
- 50:25Speaker 1: but kind of dependent, right, you'd have.
- 50:27Speaker 6: To get nine plus, which is a lot.
- 50:30Speaker 1: I mean, but if you're.
- 50:31Speaker 6: Playing against el wee Wei's Finn, then he hasn't a
- 50:33Speaker 6: nuancey with nine boosts on it all by itself.
- 50:36Speaker 1: I mean, but if you do, you could just win
- 50:39Speaker 1: on the spot, right yeah? Or a hydra or a
- 50:43Speaker 1: hydra yeah.
- 50:47Speaker 6: I like man in the maze, what expenses seven?
- 50:52Speaker 3: We have to use the Martingales and all the other
- 50:55Speaker 3: stuff to reduce his costs?
- 50:56Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 50:57Speaker 2: We we converting to a full go through all the cards.
- 51:02Speaker 1: Mine as well. At this point, I mean, what what
- 51:04Speaker 1: do we got? What? What do you want to add
- 51:05Speaker 1: to the list. I don't see anything in here that like.
- 51:08Speaker 6: I really like x marks. The spot gets me excited,
- 51:11Speaker 6: free cost and you get rid of anything, and then
- 51:14Speaker 6: it'll come back a few turns later.
- 51:18Speaker 3: I like Flora carrying Gardner m who the floor?
- 51:25Speaker 2: Uh, Felix, you picked a lot of oofs around, which
- 51:29Speaker 2: is very interesting.
- 51:31Speaker 1: Why are none of the Why are none of the
- 51:33Speaker 1: Bliss characters any good?
- 51:36Speaker 5: They are?
- 51:37Speaker 1: They are? Which?
- 51:38Speaker 2: Which one guitarist is on my list?
- 51:42Speaker 5: For certain? For what?
- 51:46Speaker 1: For for anyone? But I and I think I think
- 51:56Speaker 1: that's only good for k I hate to tell you,
- 51:58Speaker 1: I don't think that's good for anybody else. I mean,
- 52:01Speaker 1: I guess it's drawing a card to drawing a card,
- 52:03Speaker 1: I guess. But go ahead, let's fight what do you
- 52:08Speaker 1: want to fight for?
- 52:10Speaker 5: Wayfarer?
- 52:12Speaker 2: I think Wayfairer is a easy inclusion in Novenka. I
- 52:21Speaker 2: think it'll be a ton of fun in a rack.
- 52:26Speaker 1: Ben that is actually pretty good.
- 52:30Speaker 6: Are you saying the rare or the common?
- 52:32Speaker 2: Uh? Either way? Honestly, I could I could go either.
- 52:35Speaker 6: I think the I tried really hard to get this
- 52:39Speaker 6: work in the Navenka Nemo deck, and you just roll
- 52:42Speaker 6: and you roll and you roll, and you never get
- 52:44Speaker 6: the same results. So it never does anything. So I
- 52:47Speaker 6: just wasted three man. That's my opinion.
- 52:49Speaker 3: I think it's a front card.
- 52:50Speaker 4: I don't think it's necessarily good because it's a one
- 52:54Speaker 4: sixth chance and it works once, So even if you
- 52:58Speaker 4: don't hit the card, you can't you can't resolve it
- 53:00Speaker 4: again because the card is already revealed.
- 53:03Speaker 5: Oh it works once per afternoon, is what you're saying.
- 53:05Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 53:07Speaker 2: Yes, So the reason that this is amazing is because
- 53:13Speaker 2: before Novenka has not had any permanent there's no reason
- 53:19Speaker 2: to play any other permanent in Novenka.
- 53:23Speaker 6: The double dice roll thing, Yeah, I feel attacked.
- 53:26Speaker 2: Nobody plays that.
- 53:27Speaker 5: That one is a waste.
- 53:29Speaker 3: I feel attacked.
- 53:33Speaker 2: Play Martin Gales instead, and the guy that.
- 53:37Speaker 3: Plays a Bastion and the ether Yard like, come.
- 53:39Speaker 2: On, yeah, uh, this is I also think it can
- 53:44Speaker 2: also satisfy a landmark for Fenn.
- 53:47Speaker 5: Not as good of a case for Fenn, but it can.
- 53:50Speaker 6: Uh.
- 53:51Speaker 2: And once again we're talking about there are a lot
- 53:54Speaker 2: of uniques out there that might be collecting dust in
- 53:58Speaker 2: lyre up because they have a landmark requirement.
- 54:01Speaker 5: You also roll so much on.
- 54:05Speaker 2: Uniques that even if you're not playing Novenka, who is
- 54:10Speaker 2: supposed to be the one that rolls the most, you're
- 54:13Speaker 2: probably going to roll at least a couple times throughout
- 54:17Speaker 2: the game. And Dexter just has really bad luck.
- 54:23Speaker 5: But let's see here.
- 54:26Speaker 2: So when you were so, when you roll one or more, die,
- 54:30Speaker 2: also reveal the top card of your deck. When you
- 54:33Speaker 2: reveal a card this way, if it's hand cost is
- 54:36Speaker 2: equal to the.
- 54:37Speaker 5: Dice result, draw it.
- 54:38Speaker 2: So it's card draw best case scenario, but worst case
- 54:45Speaker 2: it's seeing what your next card is and seeing do
- 54:49Speaker 2: I want to go for a resupply or how is
- 54:53Speaker 2: my turn going to change? Based on knowing this, I
- 54:57Speaker 2: would disagree.
- 54:58Speaker 6: I think worst case, you'll your opponent information about what
- 55:02Speaker 6: you're doing and don't help you.
- 55:05Speaker 3: You're going to have your hand to.
- 55:07Speaker 2: Maybe the rare or the comment. I think depends on
- 55:12Speaker 2: if you have the slots or not. The rare is
- 55:16Speaker 2: definitely better at face value. But a rare slot is
- 55:20Speaker 2: a rare slot. So I liked it. I had a
- 55:24Speaker 2: lot of fun with it. I had it work multiple
- 55:26Speaker 2: times in the demo deck, and.
- 55:30Speaker 6: I played four games with Navenka and I got it
- 55:32Speaker 6: to work once.
- 55:34Speaker 2: Just get better better?
- 55:37Speaker 1: Yeah, you just suck. That's solid?
- 55:39Speaker 6: Is just roll better?
- 55:40Speaker 2: Yeah? It sounds It sounds like I'm losing this one though,
- 55:45Speaker 2: So why fair sucks? What? What are you?
- 55:50Speaker 5: What are you fighting to add?
- 55:51Speaker 6: Dexter, I said, X marks the spot three costs removal.
- 55:57Speaker 2: I'll let I'll let Felix go first if he has
- 55:59Speaker 2: anything to say to you.
- 56:02Speaker 3: In terms of X y Z spot or my choice.
- 56:04Speaker 5: Yeah, in terms of X marks the spot. Do we
- 56:07Speaker 5: let them at it?
- 56:09Speaker 3: I think it's okay.
- 56:11Speaker 4: I don't find it amazing, just for the fact that
- 56:14Speaker 4: it costs three manna.
- 56:16Speaker 3: For a removal.
- 56:20Speaker 1: They're gonna see it again.
- 56:21Speaker 6: What else do you have in Lyra that costs less
- 56:23Speaker 6: than three?
- 56:25Speaker 3: It costs less than three. A lot of answers a
- 56:27Speaker 3: removal off you go.
- 56:30Speaker 6: That takes a rare slot Twinkle twinkle, that doesn't count.
- 56:37Speaker 6: A capella training is great, but that doesn't count as removal.
- 56:40Speaker 1: All right, what do you count it?
- 56:43Speaker 3: Is?
- 56:43Speaker 2: What I'll say about X marks the Spot. I think
- 56:47Speaker 2: the rare is pretty good and enticing.
- 56:52Speaker 5: Well, once again, it's a rare.
- 56:55Speaker 2: What X marks the Spot says is roll a die
- 56:59Speaker 2: and target character to the x position of its owner's deck,
- 57:03Speaker 2: where x is the result. The rare also adds if
- 57:07Speaker 2: x is higher than the hand cost of the target
- 57:11Speaker 2: ready one man at work. So very very interesting rare there.
- 57:19Speaker 2: I think the problem with x Marxist spot is it's fleeting.
- 57:23Speaker 2: It does cost three and it has that same issue
- 57:27Speaker 2: of the theseus issue we were talking about, and it
- 57:32Speaker 2: comes back. It's gonna come back. I don't think it's bad.
- 57:36Speaker 2: I think it's fun, but I don't.
- 57:39Speaker 3: I think if it hit permanence it'd be perfect. But
- 57:41Speaker 3: it doesn't true true.
- 57:44Speaker 2: All right, sounds like that one's another wampamp. What does
- 57:53Speaker 2: Felix have to say?
- 57:55Speaker 6: Tech Lab's not a common lyra because one that's a common.
- 58:03Speaker 4: I mean if that's from like magical trainings and or
- 58:08Speaker 4: they might use a cappella or they have so many
- 58:12Speaker 4: ways to start.
- 58:13Speaker 6: Already liked, we already went on that card.
- 58:16Speaker 2: If that is Felix's pick and Lyra I allow it.
- 58:20Speaker 5: So I think that card.
- 58:23Speaker 6: Is that was a great card.
- 58:27Speaker 4: Not just been I think also and just all the
- 58:30Speaker 4: other ones too, especially with magical training still being a thing.
- 58:36Speaker 2: SAP is fun.
- 58:39Speaker 6: I don't know that one on my list.
- 58:41Speaker 5: I don't know if Lyra really needs it.
- 58:43Speaker 1: Funnily just fun because you get to watch this guy
- 58:46Speaker 1: get high throughout the cards.
- 58:48Speaker 2: Yeah, I think it would be very good.
- 58:50Speaker 1: It would be who's like, let's smoke it?
- 58:54Speaker 2: Yep.
- 58:56Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 58:57Speaker 2: If it wasn't common in Mona, I would absolutely one
- 59:00Speaker 2: hundred percent.
- 59:01Speaker 5: Play it in Lyra.
- 59:02Speaker 2: I don't think it's necessary personally.
- 59:06Speaker 6: And Dorvi and I put it on my list and
- 59:08Speaker 6: nobody else said anything about it, but I think it's good.
- 59:12Speaker 2: Yeah, so we will add tech Lab to Lyra. Uh
- 59:18Speaker 2: does Wookie want to add an honorable mention? From the
- 59:22Speaker 2: Wookie point of view?
- 59:26Speaker 1: My honorable I like Lakshmi. I just I know it's
- 59:29Speaker 1: really it's fine, crazy right, It probably doesn't hit most
- 59:33Speaker 1: of the time.
- 59:34Speaker 2: But I think Lakshmi will make some really good uniques,
- 59:38Speaker 2: because if if you are not super into deck building,
- 59:46Speaker 2: people say like certain characters are like illegal to use
- 59:51Speaker 2: uniques of.
- 59:52Speaker 5: It just means.
- 59:53Speaker 2: That the character is such a staple in a deck
- 59:57Speaker 2: that you don't want a unique of that character, like
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: Muna Is maybe like a Dracana Ortis would be what
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: the heck is one that's illegal in Ortis? I don't
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: freaking know, Bravo. I really like Efron too, so I
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: I think Lakshmi would be a really good case for
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: a unique because you probably aren't going to run three
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: in a deck, but the ability and the potential I
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: think is very good.
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: Two of my favorites, which I don't know if they're
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: gonna end up being competitive or not. They might. I
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: really like Ephron right, I mean, when he comes into
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: play from hand, there's no downside. You're either going to sabotage,
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: you're going to resupply. You're happy either away. I would
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: think uh and Man in the Maze. I like Man
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: in the Maze. This is one and it's yazmir oh ship.
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: It is very we could get it. We can get
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: ob noxious with this.
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: If you play Hydra just by the way.
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: Yeah it could I mean, yeah, it could be. It
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: could be a little bit, a little bit busted. But yeah,
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: I uh.
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: I think uh, I think someone said I don't remember who.
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: In the main discord, they were saying that they played
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: either the Hunger or the Man in the Maze or
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: whatever and removed one team boost from the board.
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: So damn does that mean you get to go forward twice? No,
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: I'm just joking. I'm joking. I'm joking. I'm joking. Calm down, cold,
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: I'm joking. I hear the cold judge Mine go off
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: and he's like, well, no, oh, it's only nine plus,
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: Like I know, I'm read the card, reading the card,
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: explains the card. I get it, like nine's it.
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: All? Right?
- 1:02:11Speaker 6: On to Muna. We've already been at this for an
- 1:02:13Speaker 6: hour and we're only halfway through.
- 1:02:15Speaker 5: Yeah, Moon, and we're not even doing all the cards.
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: No, oh goad, Yeah Muna is Muna.
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: I am so disappointed in Dexter. I'm kicking him back
- 1:02:27Speaker 2: out of my and all the cards are bad, and
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: Felix is just over here, like, I don't know what
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: you're doing, but at least it's not as bad as Dexter.
- 1:02:39Speaker 6: I picked two cards that I liked. All the rest
- 1:02:42Speaker 6: I still think are bad.
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: I think I have to quit this podcast because giving
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: me an aneurysm.
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: We can always just kick Dexter out.
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: Pick your top five cards, dude. Dude picks two spells,
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: nothing else. That's not even five.
- 1:03:00Speaker 6: Yeah, I didn't like five cards. I've said this before.
- 1:03:03Speaker 6: I picked the cards I actually like and then don't
- 1:03:05Speaker 6: do anything.
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: The point is to pick five so that people have
- 1:03:11Speaker 2: an understanding of the five potentially best cards and affection.
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: Uh okay, I don't know.
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: I'm not seeing a ton more.
- 1:03:22Speaker 5: That, right.
- 1:03:25Speaker 6: Yeah, I think Requiem is great.
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: Is the only one that showed up on two lists,
- 1:03:31Speaker 2: and it is not mine. It is Felix and Dexter's.
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: I did not put it on my list.
- 1:03:38Speaker 6: The common I can talk about it. The common cost
- 1:03:41Speaker 6: two from hand two from reserve. It has fleeting, and
- 1:03:44Speaker 6: then you can choose one either discard target fleeting character
- 1:03:47Speaker 6: with hand cost four or less or discard target permanent
- 1:03:51Speaker 6: with hand cost four or less. And then the rare
- 1:03:53Speaker 6: costs two from hand three from reserve. It has cool
- 1:03:56Speaker 6: down and then similar abilities except discard target fleeting or
- 1:04:02Speaker 6: a sleep character and then the lyra is the same
- 1:04:05Speaker 6: as the rare and solid removal. You're getting rid of
- 1:04:11Speaker 6: something that costs four less for only two Mana.
- 1:04:14Speaker 3: I like removal.
- 1:04:16Speaker 2: Yep. I did not put this one because I'll just
- 1:04:19Speaker 2: stick to Lost in the Woods, very very cool card art,
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: though I would just rather have Lost in the Woods.
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: And if I'm gonna add more than three, I'm gonna
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: add Mana Reaping.
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: So yeah, as pesticides or as fertilizer.
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: Fertilizer Okay, Oh, wasn't sure.
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: I'm looking at SAP dispersal and I'm like, do their
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: crops have faces? That's weird?
- 1:04:50Speaker 2: Yeah, seeing as I guess they do the longest running
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: MUNA player.
- 1:04:56Speaker 6: You are right, Cole, now that I think about that,
- 1:04:58Speaker 6: about only running three Loss in the Woods and then
- 1:05:01Speaker 6: man Reaping. If you need something else the requiem you
- 1:05:03Speaker 6: probably don't need. I should have thought about that. But
- 1:05:07Speaker 6: I'm like, this is great removal.
- 1:05:08Speaker 2: You should have thought you should have thought. Okay, I
- 1:05:13Speaker 2: am going, man, this one's hard. I will just run
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: my list real quick. I won't say anything about them.
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: If you want to ask me about them outside of
- 1:05:25Speaker 2: the podcast, feel free. I had to put my boy
- 1:05:28Speaker 2: grand bois on there. He was my card reveal. Of course,
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: that one is maybe my personality higher.
- 1:05:38Speaker 5: I do think there's some.
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: Really cool builds with him, Corgie, floor, an and swarm.
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: Who am I gonna fight for? I think I have to, man.
- 1:05:52Speaker 2: I had to cut down my Mona list, of course,
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: because there are so many good things at play here
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: in Mona.
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: What do you like about floor?
- 1:06:03Speaker 5: So all right, I'll fight for floor because that was
- 1:06:06Speaker 5: your question.
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't see anything that's like crazy.
- 1:06:10Speaker 2: First off, she reminds me of my wife so Oka
- 1:06:14Speaker 2: and so that cute little gardener taking care of the plants.
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: We have like over one hundred plants in our house.
- 1:06:24Speaker 6: Uh in your house?
- 1:06:27Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm not exaggerated.
- 1:06:29Speaker 6: Nice.
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: So I think I absolutely find a way to run
- 1:06:35Speaker 2: the rare, and I think floor replaces Sneezer's room, which
- 1:06:41Speaker 2: I think has been around too long.
- 1:06:44Speaker 6: The only why do you run the rare? Because the
- 1:06:49Speaker 6: one cost less?
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: How do I run the rare?
- 1:06:52Speaker 5: I think I do?
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: Anyways, The point is if you read the persistent.
- 1:07:02Speaker 6: Yes, yes, I can read, Am I am I.
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: Fighting for the card? Or is dexter?
- 1:07:08Speaker 5: What's going on here.
- 1:07:10Speaker 6: Against the car as you fight for it finish first.
- 1:07:15Speaker 2: So it the rare is two from hand, two from reserve.
- 1:07:19Speaker 2: It's a three three zero. You know, I think Muna
- 1:07:24Speaker 2: has too many three cost cards. So the rare dodge
- 1:07:27Speaker 2: is that at noon another target character in play or
- 1:07:33Speaker 2: in reserve gains one boost. So as long as you
- 1:07:37Speaker 2: just play this once early on for pretty decent stats
- 1:07:42Speaker 2: and just let it sit in your reserves.
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: Just a.
- 1:07:46Speaker 2: It's just it's basically another.
- 1:07:49Speaker 5: Version of the spindle Munabastian.
- 1:07:53Speaker 2: The other thing is if you anchor it, it's going
- 1:07:56Speaker 2: to do the same thing. So it does you sure
- 1:08:00Speaker 2: about that? It is? Yeah? I mean no, Actually I'm not.
- 1:08:03Speaker 5: I'm dumb. Don't listen to that part.
- 1:08:05Speaker 2: A rot of that.
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: I've already listened.
- 1:08:09Speaker 3: It's recorded too.
- 1:08:11Speaker 6: It's a persistent the persistent support ability. It only activates
- 1:08:15Speaker 6: while it is in reserve, only in reserve. What I
- 1:08:18Speaker 6: meant or I'll we just try to lie to all
- 1:08:20Speaker 6: of y'all.
- 1:08:21Speaker 5: I'm just talking too fast.
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: What I meant to say was I look at a
- 1:08:25Speaker 2: lot of cards as well as the ability and where
- 1:08:29Speaker 2: they might show up, and I think this this.
- 1:08:34Speaker 5: Is really cool.
- 1:08:37Speaker 2: But yeah, uh, there's a lot of cards on here
- 1:08:41Speaker 2: that I think people just need to wrap their head
- 1:08:45Speaker 2: around and see the play style and see how they
- 1:08:49Speaker 2: benefit off of things Muna's been doing for a while.
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: And do you take the tribal out of irawan rowin? Yeah,
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: I don't know if I'm saying that.
- 1:09:01Speaker 6: Right, is what I said.
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: He is on my list as well.
- 1:09:06Speaker 5: The thing you'll notice.
- 1:09:09Speaker 2: There are a lot of plants that are also animals,
- 1:09:16Speaker 2: so double plant.
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: Animal Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, I see it now.
- 1:09:24Speaker 2: Yeah. Also sneezershroom, Uh, you go the rare because it
- 1:09:28Speaker 2: gains a boost.
- 1:09:31Speaker 5: Yeah, the common does not gain a boost.
- 1:09:33Speaker 2: That's why I don't think sneezer shroom is that strong.
- 1:09:39Speaker 2: And I think it finally rotates out with this news.
- 1:09:42Speaker 6: Yeah, I think it's droppable with things.
- 1:09:45Speaker 2: Like the swarm or you know whatever else you put
- 1:09:49Speaker 2: in Little Mouse.
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: I have a strange question for you, judge. So like,
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: let's say a minutes are right, big phanom minuttar. I
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: think he's dope. I don't know if he's a good card,
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: but I think he's dope. Okay, So like the constant
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: ability at noon, I gained one boost up to a
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: max of two? Is that up to a max of
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: two from that ability or is it up to Like,
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: so if he gets a boost from his ability and
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: then let's just say something else gives him a boost
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: while he's in reserve or wherever? Is that it?
- 1:10:26Speaker 6: Like, Yeah, it'll only able. It'll only be able to
- 1:10:31Speaker 6: add a boost if it has one or less boosts
- 1:10:33Speaker 6: on it.
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: Okay, so it's not like if something else it can't
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: add another one from that ability.
- 1:10:42Speaker 2: Yes, but you can still augment it or or use
- 1:10:46Speaker 2: floor to give it more boosts above the two.
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: I wasn't sure if it's like, Man, do I have
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: to track these separately? Now?
- 1:10:53Speaker 6: No?
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: Like, this is the abilities boost. This boost came from elsewhere.
- 1:10:58Speaker 2: Minotar is also good. It's also an animal. Uh, and
- 1:11:02Speaker 2: it is one that.
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: Could could I do like the I do like the
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: Minoto six. Yeah, but Scout three you're missing the Scout
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: three like Scout three then yeah, but like you, but
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: you now have a like there is something to be
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: said about having a body for a late game.
- 1:11:24Speaker 3: Play with sloral tents and then you're good.
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: Yep.
- 1:11:28Speaker 2: I was gonna say, I think Dexter hasn't wrapped his
- 1:11:30Speaker 2: brain around Scout yet.
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean I know what does you might know
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: what it does, but like there is something that we
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: say to be like, hey, I do have this.
- 1:11:41Speaker 3: The three men six sixty six right.
- 1:11:44Speaker 5: Rare can also anchor itself for three, So.
- 1:11:49Speaker 4: Yeah, exactly, Oh damn that prevents it from being removed.
- 1:11:55Speaker 4: You just remove the anchor instead.
- 1:11:57Speaker 2: Yep.
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: So if you scout three the rare right, So I
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: scout three, play it for three target. I triggered the
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: anchor ability, give it anchored, and then what it attempts
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: to send it to reserve, and then it just removes
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: the anchored instead, right.
- 1:12:13Speaker 6: Only that's kind of funny.
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: Why only with floral tent.
- 1:12:19Speaker 4: Floral temp province your anchor characters from going to reserve,
- 1:12:22Speaker 4: going anywhere just by removing their anchor status.
- 1:12:28Speaker 6: You can pay three to get a five five five.
- 1:12:30Speaker 3: I like it us gigs bigger than that.
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: Wouldn't when it wouldn't when it attempts to go to reserve,
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: it wouldn't it just remove the anchored?
- 1:12:39Speaker 6: Yeah, okay, anchored is not like a ward wookie.
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, I guess I kind of treat it that way.
- 1:12:50Speaker 2: But okay, so yeah, that is I guess where I
- 1:12:56Speaker 2: fought for.
- 1:12:57Speaker 5: But I think there's a lot of good cards.
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: I gonna fight for the farm.
- 1:13:02Speaker 2: Ah No, I.
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: I think that's one of the best.
- 1:13:07Speaker 2: Uh.
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: I don't won't know what the cycle is really called.
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: The food.
- 1:13:15Speaker 6: I will say the permanent.
- 1:13:18Speaker 2: The other is better than the undergrowth. But I played
- 1:13:24Speaker 2: Tasia most of the time.
- 1:13:27Speaker 6: I know people like the undergrowth.
- 1:13:29Speaker 2: I know people are like farm is more seeing your
- 1:13:33Speaker 2: anchor support.
- 1:13:36Speaker 6: But who plays origin though?
- 1:13:39Speaker 2: I think the with all the new removal, I'm gonna
- 1:13:44Speaker 2: have to continue to run the Munabastian. So I just
- 1:13:48Speaker 2: don't think the farm has a.
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: Place finds a home fair enough?
- 1:13:52Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: All right, artist, player, do your thing? How many spells
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: did you pick from this one metre?
- 1:14:01Speaker 6: You don't even play much ortis anymore?
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: Oh, you don't play ortists anymore?
- 1:14:05Speaker 6: I mean sure I can. I put down two spells
- 1:14:11Speaker 6: and one creature.
- 1:14:13Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:14:13Speaker 2: So for artists, our overlaps were just conscription and license withdrawal,
- 1:14:18Speaker 2: and we had.
- 1:14:19Speaker 6: Then I put down both of those.
- 1:14:20Speaker 2: We had no other overlap.
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: I think orders became the funniest faction. What do you mean,
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: aren't you looking at like all their all their job
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: car all their characters. I mean, yeah, they're bur but
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: you have like staff clerk like old lady who like
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: stamps things right, the accountant right, like just there, they're
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: all bureaucrats, but they're kind of funny, like the dispatcher right,
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: like the person that sends people places, the health inspector,
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: like all these are kind of like very very funny.
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: And license withdrawal and conscription, like I don't know, just
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: they seem very like they got all the mundane ship
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: jobs that nobody wants.
- 1:15:08Speaker 2: Goofy, yeah, this is what you're saying.
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: Fair enough, but like it was just I don't know,
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: it's funny to me, all right, and I do like
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: the dude who's definitely the Three Musketeers. Mm hmm.
- 1:15:19Speaker 2: Felix, what is the card you're fighting to add to
- 1:15:22Speaker 2: the list?
- 1:15:24Speaker 3: The they got two? We're gonna talk.
- 1:15:29Speaker 6: About conscription and license withdrawal.
- 1:15:32Speaker 2: I mean, we we agreed, do we do? We need
- 1:15:35Speaker 2: to talk about them.
- 1:15:36Speaker 6: That's what we were talking about them and then adding
- 1:15:38Speaker 6: stuff on.
- 1:15:39Speaker 2: Go ahead and tell us what they do. Boo boo, Okay.
- 1:15:43Speaker 6: Conscription costs two from hand to from reserve. It has
- 1:15:46Speaker 6: fleeting target and expedition, create x orders, recruit one on
- 1:15:51Speaker 6: one soldier tokens in it, where x is the number
- 1:15:54Speaker 6: of cards in target players reserve, and then the rares
- 1:15:58Speaker 6: just have cool down instead of fleeting. So if your
- 1:16:02Speaker 6: opponent is playing Finn or Swoebash or something that spams
- 1:16:06Speaker 6: their reserve with like four plus cards, playing this and
- 1:16:09Speaker 6: making a whole bunch of tokens is really good. Okay,
- 1:16:16Speaker 6: next anything, Okay, onto license withdrawal three from hand, three
- 1:16:21Speaker 6: from reserve. It has fleeting, and then it has twos
- 1:16:23Speaker 6: one either discard target boosted character or discard target permanent.
- 1:16:28Speaker 6: And then the rare costs two from hand two from reserve,
- 1:16:31Speaker 6: and then it puts on the stipulation with hand cost
- 1:16:34Speaker 6: three or less for both of the discard abilities.
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: Yeah, the kind of bad.
- 1:16:38Speaker 5: This withdrawal is a waste of a spot.
- 1:16:41Speaker 2: But it was on two lists, so I don't have
- 1:16:44Speaker 2: to fight against them.
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: The common seems fine, the rare seems kind.
- 1:16:47Speaker 2: Of or just doesn't need it.
- 1:16:52Speaker 6: Yeah, ortis already has plenty of other removal, so you.
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: Fight to put the card on there, and then you agree.
- 1:17:00Speaker 6: Well, see, I made these lists kind of really fast,
- 1:17:03Speaker 6: and it was basically like if I see removal, I
- 1:17:05Speaker 6: put it on the list. Even if it doesn't really
- 1:17:08Speaker 6: make the cut.
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: I mean, because Health Inspector seems like super interesting, right
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: with all the counters that are going on things in Reserve. Right,
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: he kind of shuts that down. That seems it seems interesting.
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: I didn't say it was good. I said it seemed interesting.
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: I'm down on the.
- 1:17:30Speaker 5: Purpose of this.
- 1:17:31Speaker 6: But Wau's dead. If Waro's still alive, I would play
- 1:17:34Speaker 6: Health Inspector not have.
- 1:17:36Speaker 5: An over two hour episode.
- 1:17:39Speaker 6: We're kind of failing that.
- 1:17:42Speaker 2: Because you guys don't listen.
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: Yeah, it's true. Anyways, Felix, I'm just speeding through this
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: to get to y Ismia.
- 1:17:52Speaker 3: I was gonna say, Ariane.
- 1:17:54Speaker 6: Yeah, alright, that's a super cool card.
- 1:17:56Speaker 2: Yeah, she she is very interesting. I think we're already
- 1:18:00Speaker 2: in agreement in allowing her on the list. It's going
- 1:18:06Speaker 2: to be hard to slought her in. But I think Ariadne,
- 1:18:11Speaker 2: actually I already know from packs. Ariadne is definitely going
- 1:18:17Speaker 2: to be a unique legal character. There are to be
- 1:18:25Speaker 2: some very interesting Aridnee uniques, and the ability is very interesting.
- 1:18:34Speaker 4: What does it do, Felix, when an opponent plays a character.
- 1:18:38Speaker 4: If there are no characters in the expedition facing me,
- 1:18:41Speaker 4: that character that they play switches expeditions, so pretty much,
- 1:18:48Speaker 4: if the expedition facing her is empty and they were
- 1:18:51Speaker 4: to try to play a character in their other expedition,
- 1:18:54Speaker 4: they have.
- 1:18:54Speaker 3: To switch it over and face Arie yep.
- 1:18:57Speaker 2: And the reverse if they tried to play a card
- 1:19:01Speaker 2: into ariadne.
- 1:19:03Speaker 6: M hmm and the other one is empty, right, no,
- 1:19:09Speaker 6: I'm reading that.
- 1:19:11Speaker 2: So it's basically like a hooked no matter what it
- 1:19:15Speaker 2: meets the.
- 1:19:15Speaker 6: Condition, it bounces around your opponent's characters and makes it
- 1:19:19Speaker 6: so they can't play them where they want to.
- 1:19:21Speaker 3: Yeah, it is a bureaucrat.
- 1:19:24Speaker 4: So if somebody decides to be brave and check with again,
- 1:19:28Speaker 4: it is a bureaucrat. Heck yeah yeah, same of the informant.
- 1:19:33Speaker 4: I really like the informant does a bureaucrat two. It's
- 1:19:35Speaker 4: an ismir out of faction, but it is a bureaucrat two.
- 1:19:41Speaker 2: Uh yeah, it's very interesting. I think both of your
- 1:19:45Speaker 2: cards already made it on the list, right, Dexter.
- 1:19:49Speaker 6: Yeah uh.
- 1:19:52Speaker 2: Oh no, you put or this accountant?
- 1:19:56Speaker 6: Which one is that?
- 1:19:57Speaker 5: Why?
- 1:19:58Speaker 2: Why?
- 1:19:59Speaker 6: Or this account I'll have to find it. Oh, because
- 1:20:04Speaker 6: it's a sand Man effect. I like sand Man effects.
- 1:20:09Speaker 3: My list as well.
- 1:20:12Speaker 5: Oh yeah, but Dexter's list is only two cards.
- 1:20:16Speaker 6: Did you like Sandman?
- 1:20:18Speaker 5: Did you change it?
- 1:20:19Speaker 2: Or did I miss that one too?
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: Me?
- 1:20:22Speaker 5: No, Dexter, did Dexter change his No?
- 1:20:26Speaker 6: All of those were always there.
- 1:20:28Speaker 2: Okay, so artists account technically made it on then at
- 1:20:31Speaker 2: times too.
- 1:20:32Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 1:20:33Speaker 2: Uh, is artists going to be the only one we
- 1:20:36Speaker 2: make it to five?
- 1:20:37Speaker 5: I'm not even going to fight for a card. If
- 1:20:39Speaker 5: that's the case, I can't let artists have five.
- 1:20:44Speaker 2: Nope, let me see, let me see if the ones
- 1:20:48Speaker 2: Uh yeah, staff clerk, Actually, I think staff clerk or Mescitet.
- 1:20:55Speaker 5: Or crier.
- 1:20:56Speaker 6: You you're just saying all the cards now, pick one, you, Dexter.
- 1:21:01Speaker 5: You know how many cards there are in each faction.
- 1:21:04Speaker 2: There's more than fierste Pick one, staff clerk. I think
- 1:21:13Speaker 2: staff clerk is going to be very good into the
- 1:21:16Speaker 2: current meta. It's a two costs one one when an
- 1:21:22Speaker 2: opponent plays a card from reserve pre eate a Ortis
- 1:21:26Speaker 2: recruit soldier token. In my expedition, uh, it is very
- 1:21:31Speaker 2: good in gul ring and not too bad in anyone
- 1:21:35Speaker 2: else because Ortis has a lot of token spammers already,
- 1:21:41Speaker 2: and this just bolsters them even more.
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: Can fiorda Libra be really good in Bravos?
- 1:21:48Speaker 6: No?
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: No, that was a quick Now.
- 1:21:52Speaker 6: It's really too hard to get it to work math
- 1:21:55Speaker 6: wise in Bravos.
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: Maybe how would you know you failed math?
- 1:22:01Speaker 6: I got an A in Calculus this semester, taking Calculus
- 1:22:05Speaker 6: three next semester. I think in Basira the Bravos one
- 1:22:09Speaker 6: probably could be fine, but it does take up a
- 1:22:12Speaker 6: rare slot still and then the oldest ones. Sacrificing all
- 1:22:19Speaker 6: the characters and then boosting it up can be good,
- 1:22:21Speaker 6: but then if your opponent removes it, it's all a
- 1:22:24Speaker 6: waste and it's not worth it at all.
- 1:22:27Speaker 2: This card will be interesting, there's probably some kind of
- 1:22:33Speaker 2: interaction here we'll see come out and be surprised from.
- 1:22:38Speaker 5: But this one might be one to look at uniques for.
- 1:22:42Speaker 2: So yeah, that's true with uniques is if you look
- 1:22:48Speaker 2: at ones that are characters people never play, you can
- 1:22:52Speaker 2: actually get some really good uniques for really cheap, like
- 1:22:57Speaker 2: arrows Ganesha. What's another high cost one that people don't
- 1:23:03Speaker 2: normally play. I've seen some crazy kaibaras, so definitely if
- 1:23:12Speaker 2: you want to search for some weird stuff, search for
- 1:23:14Speaker 2: some of that. But yeah, now.
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: Too excited to eat day, I guess, so.
- 1:23:26Speaker 2: I put Corgan Informant times to ishause I think Felix
- 1:23:31Speaker 2: put it on the orders.
- 1:23:32Speaker 6: Put it on.
- 1:23:34Speaker 3: Yeah it's an ordist. I'm meant to put it in
- 1:23:36Speaker 3: ismir too, but I forgot.
- 1:23:38Speaker 2: Okay, So yeah, this card without a doubt is probably
- 1:23:42Speaker 2: in the top so good cards of the set?
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: Which which one is it?
- 1:23:48Speaker 6: Corgan Informant?
- 1:23:50Speaker 5: Yeah, starts with a cue.
- 1:23:56Speaker 6: I don't know which one, and it's Scout one. Who
- 1:24:00Speaker 6: said that one?
- 1:24:01Speaker 4: So it's a three from hand, two from reserve two
- 1:24:05Speaker 4: three two Scout. There's a Scout two in the common,
- 1:24:08Speaker 4: Scout one in the rare And oh I thought, yeah, just.
- 1:24:16Speaker 6: Playing from hand removed two counters from target character in
- 1:24:19Speaker 6: play or in reserve.
- 1:24:21Speaker 4: Yeah, so it can remove boosts. It can remove counters
- 1:24:25Speaker 4: from those aren't counters. Yeah, those are statuses.
- 1:24:35Speaker 2: Yeah, counters are performance counters, scraped counters, boosts, uh, heroism
- 1:24:45Speaker 2: counters whatever.
- 1:24:48Speaker 6: Uhhe but like anchored doesn't that seems weird?
- 1:24:54Speaker 2: This is a status but it says specifically this cannot
- 1:24:59Speaker 2: part get hero cards. Yeah, because there will be some
- 1:25:05Speaker 2: interaction with the counters that are on heroes, just not
- 1:25:08Speaker 2: from the informant. But yeah, this card is disgusting watching
- 1:25:14Speaker 2: it in play during the demo tournament, it's just crushing.
- 1:25:20Speaker 3: I remember playing a trickster and then they removed all
- 1:25:22Speaker 3: the boots she had, so she wasn't zero zero zero.
- 1:25:25Speaker 2: Yeah, so Wookie is probably grinning evil grin ear to
- 1:25:33Speaker 2: ear what.
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: No, you wouldn't know. Why would you say it's such
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: a mean thing.
- 1:25:41Speaker 3: You sound like it.
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: Oh, I just I'm just over here reading. Don't mind me.
- 1:25:47Speaker 2: Next card that we all had on our list was
- 1:25:50Speaker 2: the Scholar's Vault, which is basically the same as the
- 1:25:57Speaker 2: tech Lab, but in Yezmeir. The common resupplies and if
- 1:26:02Speaker 2: there's one or more spells in your reserve, your reserve
- 1:26:06Speaker 2: limit is increased by one, and then the rares get
- 1:26:09Speaker 2: a little weirder. Who wants to read the rares?
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: The rare you may play. You may play spells of
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: hand costs as I say, seven or two, seven or
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: more or more for one less. I don't know why,
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: but like it's really fuzzy, and I'm not sure if
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: it was just like a bad transfer over. Yeah, it
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: could be. I'm getting older. If there are one or
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: more spells in your reserve, your reserve limit increases by one.
- 1:26:42Speaker 2: And then same in Bravos. Rare is really good. In
- 1:26:45Speaker 2: Bravos common is just fine enough.
- 1:26:49Speaker 6: It's not the same. It's characters instead of spells. Okay,
- 1:26:55Speaker 6: he said it was the same in Bravos.
- 1:26:57Speaker 5: Oh, oh sorry, I see what you mean.
- 1:26:59Speaker 2: Yes, it does have that difference. I just meant it's
- 1:27:03Speaker 2: you know, the seven or more blah blah blah. Anyways, Yes,
- 1:27:07Speaker 2: the rare is very good in Bravos.
- 1:27:09Speaker 6: Rare for a Saudi scholar's vault.
- 1:27:13Speaker 2: Yeah, let's take a look. Let's see what do you
- 1:27:20Speaker 2: have on your list?
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: You put on those?
- 1:27:23Speaker 2: Just those two?
- 1:27:24Speaker 6: All right, yeah, those were the only two I put
- 1:27:26Speaker 6: What were the two.
- 1:27:27Speaker 1: On your list?
- 1:27:29Speaker 2: Once?
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: Just those two? What was the first one? I'm sorry?
- 1:27:33Speaker 6: The corgan informant? Oh, I didn't like any other.
- 1:27:37Speaker 1: I don't know why Why do we like the informant?
- 1:27:41Speaker 6: It removes removes two counters?
- 1:27:45Speaker 2: Did you so? Like Felix said, he played a trickster
- 1:27:48Speaker 2: and then they just played an informant and removed all
- 1:27:51Speaker 2: the boosts from the tricksters.
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: So it was a zero I get so just does
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: it just leave the expedition at that point? Or no,
- 1:27:59Speaker 1: because I guess it hasn't die there, but.
- 1:28:01Speaker 6: It shrinks there.
- 1:28:03Speaker 2: Yeah, and not to mention it's and a good cost
- 1:28:08Speaker 2: for a good stats in itself.
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: You didn't even like the scribbling starfish.
- 1:28:13Speaker 5: I mean that is one of the cutest starts for sure.
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: I know that's what I was thinking. I mean it's
- 1:28:18Speaker 1: not very good.
- 1:28:19Speaker 2: I mean he is, it's a it's a pretty good card. Uh, Felix,
- 1:28:25Speaker 2: what are you fighting to add?
- 1:28:28Speaker 3: Hmm?
- 1:28:29Speaker 1: To fight for? We talk about Oh yeah, I did
- 1:28:38Speaker 1: like that one. You said, metamorphosis, right, yeah, yeah, I
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: like that one.
- 1:28:44Speaker 6: I really got to talk about silence again. Right.
- 1:28:46Speaker 5: Metamorphosis is hard for me because.
- 1:28:50Speaker 2: Well, how how do you see playing it? And why
- 1:28:54Speaker 2: do you like it?
- 1:28:55Speaker 4: Felix, Some metamorphosis has I have some memories with a
- 1:29:01Speaker 4: Carcoal Swan song from Magice the Gathering that it does
- 1:29:06Speaker 4: give your opponent a token actually a two two token,
- 1:29:10Speaker 4: but it does counter a spell, so you get rid
- 1:29:15Speaker 4: of a targeted thing that is bothering you.
- 1:29:18Speaker 3: And they get a two to two in its place.
- 1:29:21Speaker 4: If you think in terms of other games like just
- 1:29:24Speaker 4: in in just any game here and altered you can
- 1:29:26Speaker 4: discard Altered, you can discard anchored characters, you can discard
- 1:29:29Speaker 4: boosted characters, you can discard annanceis. You can discard so
- 1:29:32Speaker 4: many things, and it discards them. It doesn't send them
- 1:29:36Speaker 4: to reserve. So they're gone.
- 1:29:39Speaker 3: Yeah, and they get a two to two that does
- 1:29:41Speaker 3: not go to reserve.
- 1:29:43Speaker 2: Yeah, that that is I looking at it now. The
- 1:29:47Speaker 2: fact that the common doesn't have a cost associated I
- 1:29:54Speaker 2: think it can be pretty good. I just don't know
- 1:29:58Speaker 2: how well it's going to pay off.
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: It wrecks Mona, doesn't it.
- 1:30:07Speaker 2: No, I'll take it to to to Muna. I would say, yeah,
- 1:30:18Speaker 2: but it'll cost more anohydra. I would say, yeah, this
- 1:30:23Speaker 2: is going to be really good against anyone that plays characters.
- 1:30:29Speaker 3: Yeah, anchors and boosts and stuff like that.
- 1:30:35Speaker 1: We talked about their nurse for a minute.
- 1:30:39Speaker 5: What do you want to say about it?
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: Was this the first time like the card art has
- 1:30:42Speaker 1: extended beyond like into the text box and such.
- 1:30:46Speaker 2: Oh the card doesn't actually look like that because it
- 1:30:50Speaker 2: was revealed by altered themselves.
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: So they had like a fan so they added an
- 1:30:55Speaker 1: effect to it. Man, I was really hoping it looked
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: like this. Yeah, that's just not your thanks cool.
- 1:31:04Speaker 5: But to unruin your day.
- 1:31:07Speaker 2: They have been working on the foils and in trial
- 1:31:15Speaker 2: by Frost they tested hidden elements in certain foils. And
- 1:31:21Speaker 2: now that it worked really well, there should be more
- 1:31:25Speaker 2: in cards. So the artist uh swarky put it and
- 1:31:31Speaker 2: they are very very cool. So maybe uh maybe the yi.
- 1:31:34Speaker 5: Ismir Nurse has some wildness in the foil.
- 1:31:38Speaker 2: We'll have to see am I fighting? What am I
- 1:31:43Speaker 2: fighting for?
- 1:31:44Speaker 6: Uh?
- 1:31:45Speaker 2: Dexter You agreed with.
- 1:31:48Speaker 5: Metamorphosis?
- 1:31:51Speaker 6: No, I don't like it personally, I'll let don't think
- 1:31:54Speaker 6: it's worth it, but it's fine, uh.
- 1:32:01Speaker 5: Vault si list Nurse.
- 1:32:04Speaker 6: I just don't think it's versatile enough to do in
- 1:32:08Speaker 6: most positions.
- 1:32:09Speaker 1: We all have do we all still have rock hard
- 1:32:11Speaker 1: stiffies for stylists.
- 1:32:14Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, it's a it's a it's a good enough card.
- 1:32:19Speaker 5: And I think his in the lore is very cool.
- 1:32:24Speaker 1: There is very cool, like the rare stylas like do
- 1:32:28Speaker 1: you ever.
- 1:32:31Speaker 6: Yet you do?
- 1:32:32Speaker 1: Do you ever get his his his infinite ability or
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: his always audibility or what do we call it?
- 1:32:40Speaker 2: What is this called passive?
- 1:32:42Speaker 6: Passive?
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: Passive? Well it's pat yeah whatever do you ever get that? Yeah?
- 1:32:47Speaker 3: What do you mean?
- 1:32:50Speaker 1: Right? But he gains one boost for each card in
- 1:32:53Speaker 1: your hand.
- 1:32:55Speaker 2: That's all play, not in reserve. So if you if
- 1:32:58Speaker 2: you get the two boosts in reserve and then play him,
- 1:33:02Speaker 2: he'll be a two to two.
- 1:33:03Speaker 1: Plus plus whatever is in my hand.
- 1:33:06Speaker 6: And if you have cards in your hand, it's pretty big.
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: Yeah, I suppose. Okay, And how the hell did this
- 1:33:12Speaker 1: get into ortis. It's not good.
- 1:33:17Speaker 6: Enough card draw to make it really worth it.
- 1:33:20Speaker 1: It's just it's the principle of the matter at this point.
- 1:33:23Speaker 2: Well, it's because it's the evil guy's the evil exactly.
- 1:33:29Speaker 2: But I don't think.
- 1:33:29Speaker 6: I also don't think any other factions have any mages.
- 1:33:34Speaker 6: I think all mages are in Yazmir Ortis.
- 1:33:39Speaker 2: Oh maybe I am.
- 1:33:43Speaker 6: Oh, nope, look at that. Merlin's an axiom.
- 1:33:46Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm going to fight for Uh.
- 1:33:50Speaker 5: I can't do the hunger, even though the hunger is
- 1:33:52Speaker 5: super cool.
- 1:33:53Speaker 6: The hunger's fun.
- 1:33:55Speaker 5: The hunger is going to be fun.
- 1:33:57Speaker 2: I don't know how well that'll be competitive.
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: And nine, I don't know if that's gonna even be possible,
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: is it.
- 1:34:04Speaker 2: Oh, I'm just gonna go for the nurse specifically.
- 1:34:10Speaker 1: Oh, I don't think you got to fight too hard
- 1:34:13Speaker 1: for that one.
- 1:34:14Speaker 2: Yeah, especially in Linda Way.
- 1:34:15Speaker 6: Yeah, that's fine for Lindy if you think about it.
- 1:34:19Speaker 2: If you have Ma out, if you play the nurse
- 1:34:22Speaker 2: sacrifice something that you want to sacrifice, Ma gains two boosts.
- 1:34:28Speaker 2: It's just it's very good value.
- 1:34:31Speaker 6: Imagine you have a rare stargazer to sacrifice and you
- 1:34:34Speaker 6: have two more boosts to get.
- 1:34:37Speaker 2: Yep, all right, nurse made it. We got it, all right.
- 1:34:41Speaker 2: That is the end of the.
- 1:34:46Speaker 5: Main part of the episode.
- 1:34:48Speaker 2: Let us know what cards we overlooked, how we're wrong,
- 1:34:52Speaker 2: how we're right, and what cards.
- 1:34:55Speaker 5: Surprised you after we talked about them.
- 1:34:58Speaker 2: Uh, you changed? What if we run through these next parts,
- 1:35:05Speaker 2: we can do the full full episode. And I picked
- 1:35:09Speaker 2: a very cute story for you to read us Wookie.
- 1:35:13Speaker 1: Oh you did, now, did you?
- 1:35:16Speaker 2: I did?
- 1:35:16Speaker 1: I gotta go click that hold on, big sad story time. Aw,
- 1:35:23Speaker 1: it's my little match girl. I love her indeed, all right.
- 1:35:29Speaker 1: I sit down heavily next to the young Lyra, who
- 1:35:33Speaker 1: has changed into the few clothes we managed to find
- 1:35:36Speaker 1: for her. Her drenched pink and green winter jacket is
- 1:35:40Speaker 1: hung out above the fire, where it shows little signs
- 1:35:43Speaker 1: of thong. I place another hold on. Let me make
- 1:35:47Speaker 1: this bigger, so my old eyes can see this. Because
- 1:35:51Speaker 1: I'm thinking Dexter might be right, I place another blanket
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: around her and rub her shoulders. Although her black hair
- 1:35:58Speaker 1: is already dry, her skin is still pale after the
- 1:36:01Speaker 1: prolonged dip under the ice. To say she was lucky
- 1:36:04Speaker 1: we were passing by when we would be an understatement.
- 1:36:09Speaker 1: Judging by the tracks on the frozen lake, it was
- 1:36:12Speaker 1: probably that many sleds passing by that had weakened the
- 1:36:16Speaker 1: ice layer. It was only a matter of time before
- 1:36:19Speaker 1: it gave way. I noticed that she hasn't touched her
- 1:36:22Speaker 1: hot chocolate, and that little tears are forming in the
- 1:36:25Speaker 1: corners of her eyes. She must still be traumatized after
- 1:36:29Speaker 1: what she just went through, and for good reason. The
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: little one was very close to tragedy. Marmo barks next
- 1:36:37Speaker 1: to me and wines in my mind, Yes, yes, I understand.
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: We'll try to take her mind off things a little bit.
- 1:36:45Speaker 1: I take a deep breath and empty my mind. Then,
- 1:36:48Speaker 1: using my construct, I summoned the idea of the little
- 1:36:51Speaker 1: match girl. I estimate she must be about the same age,
- 1:36:56Speaker 1: and maybe even a little younger. Suddenly she appears, with
- 1:37:00Speaker 1: bright red hair, sitting cross legged on the snow, giving
- 1:37:03Speaker 1: me a knowing look. The young lyras stares at her
- 1:37:06Speaker 1: as she hopefully opens her little case and takes out
- 1:37:10Speaker 1: a box of matches. She strikes a match against the phosphorus,
- 1:37:14Speaker 1: sending out sparks, which turn into a hissing flame. She
- 1:37:17Speaker 1: strikes another. Each time they ignite, A little robotic insect
- 1:37:21Speaker 1: emerges from the fire, a metally butterfly or firefly. I smile.
- 1:37:27Speaker 1: During these little moments of distraction, the young survivor seems
- 1:37:30Speaker 1: to forget all about the cold source. The Little match
- 1:37:34Speaker 1: Girl is a Danish fairy tale written by Hans Christian Anderson.
- 1:37:38Speaker 1: In the story, a penniless little girl wanders the streets
- 1:37:41Speaker 1: on a frozen cold New Year's Eve, trying to sell
- 1:37:44Speaker 1: boxes of matches, but no one is interested in buying them.
- 1:37:48Speaker 1: Afraid to return home empty handed, where her abusive father
- 1:37:52Speaker 1: is waiting, she takes shelter and the alley and tries
- 1:37:55Speaker 1: to warm up by lighting her matches when each one
- 1:37:59Speaker 1: she strikes. With each one she strikes, she experienced a
- 1:38:02Speaker 1: hallucination of something she's deprived of but still longs for
- 1:38:07Speaker 1: the warmth of the hearth, delicious food, and her loving
- 1:38:11Speaker 1: grandmother who recently passed away. In the morning, passers by
- 1:38:16Speaker 1: find her lifeless body, but she has a smile on
- 1:38:18Speaker 1: her face. Don't need to read the section part, No,
- 1:38:22Speaker 1: it's the section. The next part is the same. Well,
- 1:38:26Speaker 1: that crossing.
- 1:38:27Speaker 6: That's depressing, that's all.
- 1:38:31Speaker 2: Yeah, that's.
- 1:38:34Speaker 5: Don't you love those old fairy tales?
- 1:38:37Speaker 6: Yeah, this is like worse than most of the grim
- 1:38:40Speaker 6: fairy tales. This is like actually just sad.
- 1:38:43Speaker 1: What's crazy? Like if you go read a lot of
- 1:38:46Speaker 1: like the actual stories behind like the Disney books. Yeah, like,
- 1:38:52Speaker 1: go read the Little Mermaid.
- 1:38:56Speaker 6: Very different story.
- 1:38:57Speaker 1: If you've ever read the actual story of the Little Burmaid.
- 1:39:00Speaker 1: They don't live happily ever after. I believe she finds
- 1:39:03Speaker 1: Prince Eric cheating on her with another woman and kills
- 1:39:07Speaker 1: them all and comuit suicide. I remember it's been a while.
- 1:39:11Speaker 6: It's one of the virgins for sure. Yeah, there you go.
- 1:39:16Speaker 5: That was a little match girl and now we know in.
- 1:39:19Speaker 1: The way to bring down my day. Cole, thanks appreciate that.
- 1:39:26Speaker 1: Cole was like, you're not angry enough, I'm gonna make
- 1:39:28Speaker 1: you depressed. Yep, I appreciate it.
- 1:39:32Speaker 2: With that, we'll move on to events Ace the next
- 1:39:36Speaker 2: season will return in June for probably the second week,
- 1:39:41Speaker 2: but we'll see. We're doing a hero Battle Royale for
- 1:39:46Speaker 2: as long as we get at least twenty players or
- 1:39:48Speaker 2: more so probably two weeks, and then we'll return to
- 1:39:51Speaker 2: normal or maybe I'll run both at once. We'll see.
- 1:39:56Speaker 2: If you're still looking for a pre release in Texas,
- 1:40:00Speaker 2: all the information is on altered corner dot com. If
- 1:40:05Speaker 2: you're listening to this on Tuesday when it comes out,
- 1:40:08Speaker 2: it might be a little late, but you can still
- 1:40:11Speaker 2: check what events are happening. And AQZ and a Wall
- 1:40:16Speaker 2: are both on a little bit of a hiatus but
- 1:40:19Speaker 2: returning in June. And the end you see the No
- 1:40:24Speaker 2: Unique Championship is actually joining forces with AQZ, so it
- 1:40:31Speaker 2: will still be running, but with more more hands to
- 1:40:35Speaker 2: help run it. And those are events I'm going to
- 1:40:40Speaker 2: pre release tomorrow, super stoked. I think both Felix and
- 1:40:45Speaker 2: Dexter are busy tomorrow or Felix, are you doing.
- 1:40:51Speaker 6: Not me?

- 1:41:26Speaker 1: Definitely dark, that's for sure.

- 1:41:31Speaker 6: an actual like messenger that you like, fold up and
- 1:41:34Speaker 6: do a room to make it live and then it
- 1:41:37Speaker 6: sends an actual message.
- 1:41:38Speaker 3: Ye, that.

- 1:42:17Speaker 2: I think Silas was really good because it intertwined multiple stories.
- 1:42:24Speaker 2: My personal favorite is probably Novenkaz. She's just silly and
- 1:42:32Speaker 2: it was an interesting story. So m.
