Let's keep that going today. Luna: Perfect. I remember we learned 'When does the train arrive?' — రైలు ఎప్పుడు వస్తుంది? Right? Lucas: Exactly. రైలు ఎప్పుడు వస్తుంది? Let's say it together slowly. రైలు ఎప్పుడు వస్తుంది? Luna: రైలు ఎప్పుడు వస్తుంది? That feels good now. Lucas: Great. Today we'll add a couple more. What if the train is delayed? You can ask: రైలు ఆలస్యం అవుతుందా? Luna: రైలు ఆలస్యం అవుతుందా? 'Is the train delayed?' That's useful. Lucas: Yes. రైలు means train, ఆలస్యం means delay or late, అవుతుందా is 'does it become' or 'is it'. So literally 'is the train becoming late?'. Luna: రైలు ఆలస్యం అవుతుందా? Let me try again. రైలు ఆలస్యం అవుతుందా? Lucas: Perfect. Now, what about when you see the train arriving? You can say: రైలు వచ్చింది — 'The train has arrived.' Luna: రైలు వచ్చింది. That sounds final. వచ్చింది is 'came' or 'has arrived'? Lucas: Exactly. వచ్చింది is the past tense of 'come'. So రైలు వచ్చింది. Let's practice all three in a mini scene. Luna: Okay, let's do it. I'm at the station, I see a train coming in. I ask you... Lucas: Go ahead. Luna: Is this train to Hyderabad? Wait, I haven't learned that. Let's stick with: రైలు ఎప్పుడు వస్తుంది? Lucas: Good. And I reply: రైలు ఇప్పుడు వస్తుంది — 'The train is coming now.' But we haven't taught 'now' yet. Let's just say: రైలు వచ్చింది. Luna: So I ask 'When does the train arrive?' and you say 'The train has arrived.' That makes sense. Lucas: And if it's delayed, I would say: రైలు ఆలస్యం అవుతుంది — 'The train is delayed.' But for today, we focus on the questions. Luna: Right. Let me practice all three. రైలు ఎప్పుడు వస్తుంది? రైలు ఆలస్యం అవుతుందా? రైలు వచ్చింది. Lucas: You've got it. Let's do a little roleplay. I'm the station master, you're the passenger. Luna: Okay. Hello, when does the train arrive? — రైలు ఎప్పుడు వస్తుంది? Lucas: I say: రైలు ఆలస్యం అవుతుంది — 'The train is delayed.' Luna: Oh no. Then I ask: Is the train delayed? — రైలు ఆలస్యం అవుతుందా? Lucas: I nod: అవును, రైలు ఆలస్యం అవుతుంది. But then later, I say: రైలు వచ్చింది! The train has arrived. Luna: Ah, great.
