- 0:03SPEAKER_00: Hello, Christians.
- 0:05SPEAKER_00: This is Dallas Beecham.
- 0:08SPEAKER_00: Stand by for good news.
- 0:11SPEAKER_00: In Revelation 16, the sixth angel pours out his bowl.
- 0:16SPEAKER_00: He pours it on the great river Euphrates.
- 0:20SPEAKER_00: The water dries up.
- 0:22SPEAKER_00: The way is prepared for the kings from the east.
- 0:26SPEAKER_00: Then John sees unclean spirits go out.
- 0:30SPEAKER_00: They go to the kings of the whole world.
- 0:33SPEAKER_00: They gather them to battle, and the place is called Armageddon.
- 0:39SPEAKER_00: That word has been used in movies, headlines, novels, and sermons.
- 0:44SPEAKER_00: But in the Bible, Armageddon is not entertainment.
- 0:48SPEAKER_00: It is not a superstition.
- 0:51SPEAKER_00: It is the gathering place of rebellion.
- 0:55SPEAKER_00: The kings of the earth think they are assembling with for power, conquest, and control.
- 1:02SPEAKER_00: But Revelation pulls back the curtain and shows us the truth.
- 1:06SPEAKER_00: They are being gathered to the great day of God Almighty.
- 1:10SPEAKER_00: That is why this battle connects so strongly with Daniel, Zachariah, Joel, and Ezekiel.
- 1:19SPEAKER_00: Daniel sees a final ruler coming to his end.
- 1:22SPEAKER_00: Zachariah sees nations gathered against Jerusalem.
- 1:27SPEAKER_00: Joel sees the nations brought down for judgment.
- 1:31SPEAKER_00: Ezekiel sees a coalition coming against Israel, only to be shattered by God's own hand.
- 1:39SPEAKER_00: Revelation gathers those nations and shows us the final confrontation.
- 1:45SPEAKER_00: Now, the world sees armies.
- 1:49SPEAKER_00: John sees spirits.
- 1:51SPEAKER_00: The world sees strategy.
- 1:54SPEAKER_00: John sees deception.
- 1:56SPEAKER_00: The world sees nations making decision.
- 2:00SPEAKER_00: John sees the powers of darkness pushing men toward rebellion.
- 2:06SPEAKER_00: That does not remove human responsibility.
- 2:09SPEAKER_00: Those kings still choose.
- 2:12SPEAKER_00: Those armies still march.
- 2:15SPEAKER_00: Those rulers still rage.
- 2:17SPEAKER_00: But revelation lets us see behind the curtain.
- 2:22SPEAKER_00: It reminds us that the final conflict is merely political.
- 2:28SPEAKER_00: It is spiritual.
- 2:30SPEAKER_00: That is why Jesus interrupts the scene with a warning.
- 2:34SPEAKER_00: Right in the middle of judgment he speaks to his people.
- 2:39SPEAKER_00: Behold, I come as a thief in the night.
- 2:42SPEAKER_00: In other words, do not sleep through the signs.
- 2:46SPEAKER_00: Do not get comfortable in a rebellious world.
- 2:50SPEAKER_00: Do not let the noise of the nations drown out the voice of Christ.
- 2:55SPEAKER_00: Blessed is the one who watches.
- 2:58SPEAKER_00: Blessed is the one who remains ready.
- 3:02SPEAKER_00: Blessed is the one who keeps his garment.
- 3:06SPEAKER_00: But notice the warning Jesus gives right in the middle of the sixth bowl, Behold, I come as a thief in the night.
- 3:15SPEAKER_00: Blessed is he that watcheth.
- 3:18SPEAKER_00: Even in a chapter of judgment there is a word to the believer.
- 3:23SPEAKER_00: Stay awake, stay clothed, stay ready.
- 3:27SPEAKER_00: The point is not to build fear, the point is to build faithfulness.
- 3:32SPEAKER_00: There is mercy in that warning.
- 3:35SPEAKER_00: The Lord does not tell his people to watch so they can be frightened.
- 3:40SPEAKER_00: He tells them to watch so they will be faithful.
- 3:43SPEAKER_00: He does not reveal Armageddon so believers can argue about maps.
- 3:49SPEAKER_00: He reveals it so believers will stay awake, stay clean, stay clothed in righteousness, stay near to the Savior.
- 3:59SPEAKER_00: The world may be moving toward a battlefield, but the church is called to move closer to Christ.
- 4:06SPEAKER_00: And here is the good news.
- 4:09SPEAKER_00: The same revelation that shows Armageddon also shows Christ returning in victory.
- 4:16SPEAKER_00: The armies gather, but they do not win.
- 4:19SPEAKER_00: The beast boast, but he does not reign forever.
- 4:24SPEAKER_00: The nations rage, but heaven answers.
- 4:28SPEAKER_00: Revelation 19 opens the sky and shows the king.
- 4:33SPEAKER_00: He is called faithful and true.
- 4:35SPEAKER_00: He judges and makes war in righteousness.
- 4:39SPEAKER_00: On his robe and on his thigh is written the title no earthly ruler can claim for long, King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
- 4:49SPEAKER_00: Christian, do not fear the word Armageddon.
- 4:53SPEAKER_00: Remember, God sent an angel to Mary and Joseph and delivered the name above every name, Jesus, and his name shall be called Jesus.
- 5:08SPEAKER_00: He is not almost king.
- 5:10SPEAKER_00: He is not waiting for permission.
- 5:12SPEAKER_00: He is Lord now, and he will reign openly then.
- 5:18SPEAKER_00: I hope today's message has touched your heart and causes you to have a good day.
