- 3:13Speaker 2: to their YouTube channel. Well that fun shit. Yeah, let's
- 3:16Speaker 2: get into today's episode. We're where we're talking about the
- 3:20Speaker 2: last continuing on last book of.
- 3:26Speaker 1: Real Time. Yes, yes, ma'am, sirs, ladies and gents, he
- 3:33Speaker 1: a she days and just days in general. We are
- 3:37Speaker 1: completing the Wheel of Time today. Yeah, finally I'll say this.
- 3:46Speaker 1: I've enjoyed this book. I'm glad it's over, and I'm
- 3:50Speaker 1: sure many of you will be glad that this will
- 3:52Speaker 1: be the last book we do for the Wheel of Time.
- 3:55Speaker 1: We may or may not do the prequel. I have
- 3:57Speaker 1: not read it. I've moved on, he moved on. I
- 4:01Speaker 1: have other books, so I still need to read. Yeah,
- 4:05Speaker 1: but before we can do that, let's before we can
- 4:08Speaker 1: do any of those, we got to finish this so
- 4:10Speaker 1: period for the last episode. Uh, we really set the stage.
- 4:16Speaker 1: There was four battles, there was four different battlefronts. Ran
- 4:20Speaker 1: had completely united all of the all of the Westland nations,
- 4:25Speaker 1: including the Sean Schean, because they are now part of that.
- 4:29Speaker 1: He compelled them to sign it, to sign a treaty
- 4:32Speaker 1: called the Dragons. The I keep saying dragons, Priest, I
- 4:36Speaker 1: don't know why I keep saying that the Dragon's Piece.
- 4:41Speaker 1: He compelled them to sign the Dragon's Piece, and he
- 4:44Speaker 1: even managed to strong arm the shan Chan to do
- 4:46Speaker 1: the same.
- 4:47Speaker 2: Oh, he sure did compel them.
- 4:51Speaker 1: It's very compelling, Oh, very compelling. And now, in the
- 4:57Speaker 1: wake of the final battle, it should they survive, and
- 4:59Speaker 1: should the Dragon and Reborn do his job and permanently
- 5:02Speaker 1: seal the dark One away, he will have ensured that
- 5:07Speaker 1: the Westland nations will never go to war with each
- 5:09Speaker 1: other again. There. Uh, their borders will be locked in place.
- 5:15Speaker 1: They will no longer be allowed to change their the
- 5:18Speaker 1: boundaries surround of their of their lands. The shawn Sean
- 5:21Speaker 1: especially will not be permitted to continue their their conquests
- 5:25Speaker 1: of the rest of the of the remaining nations. Uh.
- 5:28Speaker 1: They will be allowed to keep any Demaney that they've
- 5:31Speaker 1: captured since coming to the Westlands. Uh. That was that
- 5:36Speaker 1: was non negotiable. Yep, of course, because those fuckers. Yeah,
- 5:43Speaker 1: and the Ayyal as part of A as part of
- 5:48Speaker 1: A as part of a revision to the Dragon's Peace.
- 5:54Speaker 1: They were included not so much as the nations, but
- 5:58Speaker 1: they will be used as the worlds as the Westlands peacekeepers,
- 6:03Speaker 1: so they will be free to travel between borders, settle disputes,
- 6:07Speaker 1: make sure that all the nations stay amicable with each other,
- 6:11Speaker 1: and if they start, if war happens, the a Eel
- 6:14Speaker 1: will step in and ensure that doesn't go any further.
- 6:21Speaker 1: Beyond that, there are there were several other stipulations, and
- 6:29Speaker 1: for the most part, all nations have agreed excuse me,
- 6:33Speaker 1: and now they have all banded together to fight the
- 6:38Speaker 1: Dark One and his forces. So the Dark One pretty
- 6:43Speaker 1: much set the stage for them. They knew that they
- 6:46Speaker 1: needed to hold the Dark One at bay as long
- 6:48Speaker 1: as possible while rand does his does his thing at Childgal.
- 6:52Speaker 1: So he himself let a lead an assault on Childgal.
- 6:58Speaker 1: Or rather he or rather he organized it to make
- 7:03Speaker 1: it seem like he organized the battlefield to make it
- 7:08Speaker 1: seem like he is jumping between each battlefront. He sent
- 7:12Speaker 1: a force to take chile Gull. He sent he placed
- 7:20Speaker 1: two different two parts of his army at at the
- 7:23Speaker 1: borders of Candor and at Tarwin's Gap to hold back
- 7:27Speaker 1: the Trolic forces while Elaine travels south to Camlin to
- 7:31Speaker 1: lure out the Trollic forces that have overtaken Camlin. She
- 7:37Speaker 1: was successful in doing that, and she what what they
- 7:40Speaker 1: did was rather than siege the city itself, they would
- 7:43Speaker 1: force the Trolks to come out of the city and
- 7:47Speaker 1: chase them. And they did and she did that. She
- 7:51Speaker 1: did that successfully. Elaine, alongside with Davn Bashir, they led
- 7:59Speaker 1: the Trollic forces on a wild chase throughout and Or,
- 8:02Speaker 1: eventually turning eastward towards Kyrine, where they made a final stand.
- 8:07Speaker 1: Because as they were as they were fighting this uh
- 8:11Speaker 1: they were using a method of attack, an attack and retreat,
- 8:15Speaker 1: they realized that there was a larger Trollic army that
- 8:18Speaker 1: had somehow gotten behind them. So they turned further to Kyrine,
- 8:22Speaker 1: where they made a stand against the smaller Trollic forces.
- 8:26Speaker 1: But they and they thought that they would have time
- 8:28Speaker 1: to regroup before the larger force hits them. Unfortunately they
- 8:33Speaker 1: were They had been led into a trap by Bashir. Bashier,
- 8:37Speaker 1: not not knowing that he was under compulsion, had unwittingly
- 8:42Speaker 1: led them into a trap, but thankfully the trap failed
- 8:45Speaker 1: due to the arrival of the Ashaman. The as Shaman
- 8:48Speaker 1: joined finally joined the battle. They were being held up
- 8:52Speaker 1: by Tayim or the Mahael as he's now called, back
- 8:58Speaker 1: at the Black Tower and Uh, but after Tayam was
- 9:07Speaker 1: driven out by a allied force of Logan and Uh
- 9:13Speaker 1: and another shaman named Andrel, who is the weakest of
- 9:15Speaker 1: the Uh Shaman, but he has he has his own
- 9:18Speaker 1: unique talent of being able to open gateways of any size.
- 9:22Speaker 1: They both they were able to drive Tayim and his
- 9:24Speaker 1: dark friends and dread lords out of the Black Tower
- 9:26Speaker 1: and finally joined the battle. So Logane arrived first at
- 9:31Speaker 1: Kyne and together they were able to drive off the
- 9:35Speaker 1: larger army from the south and eventually they retreated to
- 9:41Speaker 1: the field of Marilor. Uh Igwaine was holding Agwaine and
- 9:47Speaker 1: the Ice that I were holding the Candor the Candor border.
- 9:51Speaker 1: But unfortunately, due to Gareth Brynn himself also being a
- 9:56Speaker 1: being compelled by Hesselam or Grendel, he was also misleading them,
- 10:03Speaker 1: giving out UH somewhat misleading UH tactics and strategies and
- 10:11Speaker 1: their forces got outmaneuvered and they were overwhelmed by the
- 10:15Speaker 1: arrival of the fight of the last nation that has
- 10:18Speaker 1: yet to be introduced into the series, the Sharons. The
- 10:22Speaker 1: Sharans inhabit a land far to the east on the
- 10:26Speaker 1: other side of the Ayle Waste. They have their own
- 10:29Speaker 1: group of channelers called the Ayad. The Ayad, alongside with
- 10:32Speaker 1: the Sharon foot soldiers, they launched an all out attack
- 10:36Speaker 1: on the Isidai camp, breaking their lines, forcing them to
- 10:39Speaker 1: retreat further back. They were eventually joined by the Shan Shan,
- 10:44Speaker 1: but it was there that they realized that Gareth, that
- 10:47Speaker 1: Gareth brain was under compulsion and Matt being uh being
- 10:52Speaker 1: given haven't been given okay from the top, So the Sharons, Yeah,
- 11:00Speaker 1: which is the last nation to be introduced into this
- 11:03Speaker 1: uh that we have yet to see in the entire series.
- 11:06Speaker 1: We've seen the Sean Sean, We've seen the a Eel,
- 11:09Speaker 1: and then of course the nations of the borderland. At
- 11:11Speaker 1: one point, all the every nation in the in the
- 11:14Speaker 1: Westlands have been introduced, even in the borderlands. But now
- 11:18Speaker 1: the final nation, Shara, out maneuvered and overwhelmed the isid
- 11:25Speaker 1: and their forces, forcing them to retreat. They broke their
- 11:28Speaker 1: lines of candor and they were forced to make a
- 11:30Speaker 1: retreat back to the field of Maryllor. Uh. It was
- 11:33Speaker 1: there that they were joined by the other fort, by
- 11:35Speaker 1: the other armies, and while they were doing their best
- 11:41Speaker 1: told the hold the line again, they were forced to
- 11:44Speaker 1: retreat even further back into Marylor, even with the shawn
- 11:46Speaker 1: Schan's help. Uh. They eventually Uh Matt, who was who
- 11:52Speaker 1: is now holding a high position of command within the
- 11:55Speaker 1: Seaun Sean due to his relationship to Fort Tuona, he
- 11:58Speaker 1: was getting he knows is immediately the unsound battle tactics
- 12:04Speaker 1: that Gareth Bryn had been giving the Isidai, and he
- 12:07Speaker 1: sends a message to Agwayne letting her know that that
- 12:10Speaker 1: Brynn is a traitor and is most likely a dark friend.
- 12:13Speaker 1: But they figured out that he was under compulsion, so
- 12:16Speaker 1: he is taken off of command but not arrested. Ah.
- 12:20Speaker 1: Of course, there was a moment when the Shan Shan
- 12:23Speaker 1: and the Isidai forces met where Atgwayne and Tuan had
- 12:26Speaker 1: a bit of a like a bit of a a
- 12:31Speaker 1: dick measuring contest for lack of a better word. But
- 12:35Speaker 1: now that these there are two forces have set up
- 12:38Speaker 1: at the field of Marrillre. The other two forces that
- 12:41Speaker 1: the other forces that were retreating UH that have been
- 12:45Speaker 1: forced to retreat Elaine's forces and her and forces of
- 12:49Speaker 1: and Or and Kyrine joined them land after arresting Lord Agemayer,
- 12:55Speaker 1: the other Great Captain of UH, the other Great Captain
- 12:59Speaker 1: for the exact same reason. They are now all making
- 13:02Speaker 1: a final stand at Marilord Yeah and in the interim,
- 13:09Speaker 1: Lord Idol, who was the final Captain of the final
- 13:13Speaker 1: Great Captain. He himself had been taken off the board
- 13:16Speaker 1: because at child Goal, because he too was also being
- 13:21Speaker 1: compelled by Hasslam, but he was able to resist it
- 13:28Speaker 1: to it for the most part. Perrin, who had been
- 13:31Speaker 1: fighting the Slayer in the dream world, had had noticed
- 13:36Speaker 1: that Hessalam had been in the interim between his fights
- 13:41Speaker 1: of the fights between him and the Slayer, he noticed
- 13:43Speaker 1: that Hessalam had visited several places in the dream world,
- 13:47Speaker 1: places that were where, roughly speaking, the other armies were,
- 13:52Speaker 1: and he noticed that she was that she was entering
- 13:55Speaker 1: a part of the dream world where she can touch
- 13:56Speaker 1: the dreams of people directly, and he realized that she
- 14:01Speaker 1: was placing compulsions on the five Great captains mm hmm,
- 14:06Speaker 1: so he did. He was able to reach out to
- 14:09Speaker 1: Elias since Elias also has dream walking abilities, he was
- 14:14Speaker 1: able to reach out to Elias through there through his
- 14:16Speaker 1: dreams and tell him to try to go to Chilegall
- 14:20Speaker 1: and make sure that Iterol is not UH is not
- 14:24Speaker 1: in command. So Elias along with the wolves that have
- 14:28Speaker 1: appeared at chile Goal as well, because all like if
- 14:32Speaker 1: the wolves themselves all over the Westlands have like thousands
- 14:36Speaker 1: of wolves have traveled north to Chilegal. They made it
- 14:39Speaker 1: through the blight and have also joined the fight against
- 14:41Speaker 1: Follox UH and Elias went with them as well. Elias
- 14:46Speaker 1: led a group of UH of wolves and captured Iterault
- 14:49Speaker 1: and kept him out of the fight for just a
- 14:53Speaker 1: short time period. But in the interim, UH the everyone
- 14:57Speaker 1: had to really just fight for themselves. What's his name
- 15:07Speaker 1: ruled He's one of the chiefs of the one of
- 15:10Speaker 1: the chiefs of the ay Eel had to take command
- 15:12Speaker 1: as well as the other Aeluh. The wind Finders are
- 15:16Speaker 1: continuing to are continuing their fight with the Literal Sky
- 15:19Speaker 1: because the Dark One is he is trying to use
- 15:22Speaker 1: the weather to wipe out their forces, but the wind
- 15:26Speaker 1: Finders armed with the weather bowl have been fighting the
- 15:30Speaker 1: Storm's back. So now they have to fight without their
- 15:35Speaker 1: great captain, which they are confident they can do. Kat
- 15:38Speaker 1: Swayne Malidrin herself is there and then they have their whole.
- 15:41Speaker 1: They have a strong force of wise ones and a
- 15:43Speaker 1: few other i Sid Eye, and now even the y
- 15:46Speaker 1: Shaman are starting to appear. Uh so since they since
- 15:50Speaker 1: Itterall was removed, the Trollic forces were able to force
- 15:54Speaker 1: their way through the mouth of the Valley and Child Gull,
- 15:56Speaker 1: and the fight itself is starting to take is now
- 15:59Speaker 1: in the entire valley. The going back to marylor Oh wit,
- 16:06Speaker 1: I'm sorry before we go back to marylor Rand has
- 16:10Speaker 1: complete has begun his fight with the Dark One. At first,
- 16:14Speaker 1: he as soon as he entered as soon as he
- 16:17Speaker 1: entered the mouth of Child Gull, his wound, the unhealable
- 16:21Speaker 1: wound on his side has completely broken open and he's
- 16:24Speaker 1: been steadily bleeding out. But he's holding out as long
- 16:28Speaker 1: as he can. He got he engaged in a one
- 16:31Speaker 1: on one sword fight with Mordan, and at one point
- 16:35Speaker 1: the two of them got he pushed, the two of
- 16:37Speaker 1: them got pushed to the towards this wall. Of darkness.
- 16:42Speaker 1: That was the Dark One, who has already been able
- 16:46Speaker 1: to somewhat enter the pattern, and as soon as they come
- 16:50Speaker 1: in contact with his darkness, Rand's mind is immediately assaulted
- 16:54Speaker 1: by the Dark One himself and the two of them
- 16:56Speaker 1: begin to have a mental shoving match. Now, so I
- 17:02Speaker 1: want to just make a quick note. Before Ran entered
- 17:05Speaker 1: child goal, they heard the voice. They heard, Ah, they
- 17:11Speaker 1: heard a strange voice, and this voice basically gave Rand
- 17:21Speaker 1: all the encouragement he needed to fight to finish this fight.
- 17:28Speaker 1: The words they heard was from this disembodied voice was
- 17:31Speaker 1: it is time let let the task be undertaken. And Moraine,
- 17:37Speaker 1: who was with him alongside Ninive, surmised that that was
- 17:40Speaker 1: the voice of the Creator himself.
- 17:43Speaker 2: Mm hmm.
- 17:45Speaker 1: Now that the two are having this mental shoving match,
- 17:48Speaker 1: the while they're fighting, and while he was fighting Morgan,
- 17:53Speaker 1: time was time. This close to the Dark One has
- 17:56Speaker 1: become so distorted that while this his little mental shoving
- 18:01Speaker 1: match with the Dark One may only last, and this
- 18:03Speaker 1: whole fight between him and the Dark One lasts maybe
- 18:06Speaker 1: about three hours, but out in the real world months
- 18:09Speaker 1: have gone by, say about three to four months have
- 18:12Speaker 1: gone by. Yeah, so when he entered child Goal. This
- 18:16Speaker 1: was very near the beginning of the Battle of the
- 18:18Speaker 1: of the War of the final battle itself. But now
- 18:21Speaker 1: his forces have been for his allies have been forced
- 18:25Speaker 1: to retreat and make a final stand, and the great
- 18:28Speaker 1: captains have been taken off the off the playing field,
- 18:33Speaker 1: and it's very likely that his forces are going to
- 18:36Speaker 1: lose and the foot for for the rest of this book,
- 18:43Speaker 1: the focus is now going to be on the field
- 18:45Speaker 1: of Marillor, where the final or the true final battle
- 18:48Speaker 1: has begun. This is the last this is the last stand.
- 18:52Speaker 1: The isid Eye, the Borderlanders, the Shan Shan, the i Yield,
- 18:57Speaker 1: the Ashaman, and the all the forces of the War
- 19:00Speaker 1: of the Westlands have have banded together to fight hundreds
- 19:04Speaker 1: of thousands of trolics. There's over like I think there
- 19:08Speaker 1: was almost two hundred thousand trollics that attack them, that
- 19:11Speaker 1: assaulted them at first. The way the way the field
- 19:16Speaker 1: of Marylor I explained it a little bit. Field of
- 19:18Speaker 1: Marylor is divided by two rivers, like one river branches
- 19:23Speaker 1: off into two sections, so it's kind of like a
- 19:25Speaker 1: weird t shape. On one side, they have their uh
- 19:31Speaker 1: they have their camps. On the southern side of the rivers.
- 19:35Speaker 1: Then on the western on the northwestern side of the
- 19:38Speaker 1: two rivers, there's like this raised hill it's flat. Where
- 19:43Speaker 1: it's flat on the top, they call it the Heights.
- 19:46Speaker 1: And farther north to it, there's a bunch of ruins,
- 19:49Speaker 1: and then on the eastern side there's more ruins, and
- 19:52Speaker 1: then there's just also another field. Elaine's forces are the
- 19:56Speaker 1: ones that mainly hold that side of the field, while
- 20:00Speaker 1: the isid Eye and the Shan Shan primarily focus on
- 20:05Speaker 1: the northwestern side because that's where the brunt of the
- 20:07Speaker 1: Trolock forces and the Sharons now for now both of
- 20:11Speaker 1: their forces have joined up are both are concentrating their attack.
- 20:15Speaker 1: Elaine had set up her dragons on the heights themselves
- 20:19Speaker 1: because they had the greater advantage. Her forces held it
- 20:22Speaker 1: for some time before without warning, a large line of light,
- 20:30Speaker 1: a massive line of lights split the air just above
- 20:34Speaker 1: the just above the heights, and it expands into a
- 20:37Speaker 1: massive gateway. And walking through the gateway isn't the Sharon
- 20:43Speaker 1: forces like the last time, but it was just one
- 20:45Speaker 1: man demon Dred Demondred comes walking through that massive gateway
- 20:52Speaker 1: like a baller in his right hand. He's carrying the
- 20:58Speaker 1: most powerful sa Angrial next to the Chden call called Skarnin.
- 21:05Speaker 1: Sicarnin looks like a golden looks like a golden scepter,
- 21:10Speaker 1: and it's adorned with what looks like a chalice. Skarnin
- 21:16Speaker 1: is believed to be more powerful than Rand's sword Calendor,
- 21:21Speaker 1: and alongside Sicarnin's power, Demon Dread is linked together with
- 21:28Speaker 1: seventy two with seventy two channelers, meaning this is the
- 21:32Speaker 1: maximum the max that a that a circle can be
- 21:36Speaker 1: a circle a link. Circle like this has not been
- 21:39Speaker 1: seen since the age of Legends. So with the iod
- 21:43Speaker 1: and with both male and female Iods supporting him and
- 21:46Speaker 1: even some dread Lords, he walks onto the heights. He
- 21:50Speaker 1: travels right onto the heights by himself, and he brutally
- 21:54Speaker 1: attacks all of the of the forces holding it what
- 21:58Speaker 1: he massacres them the the Isidai that were on the
- 22:03Speaker 1: the Isidai and the Ashaman that were on the heights.
- 22:06Speaker 1: They were able to save several of the dragons Uh,
- 22:10Speaker 1: but most of them get destroyed. So unfortunately they lost
- 22:14Speaker 1: one of their greatest the the forces of the Light
- 22:17Speaker 1: lost one of their greatest weapons, and now they've also
- 22:20Speaker 1: lost the height advantage too. They've lost the high ground,
- 22:24Speaker 1: so Demondred immediately moves his Sharen forces onto the heights.
- 22:30Speaker 1: He orders his Iyad to begin raining fired down on
- 22:33Speaker 1: the other for on the other forces, and the Taloks
- 22:37Speaker 1: also joined them on the heights. Basically, while the Troloks
- 22:41Speaker 1: are overrunning the northwestern side of the heights, the south
- 22:45Speaker 1: the southeastern side of the heights are mostly held by
- 22:48Speaker 1: the Isidai, the shan Shan, and some of and some
- 22:50Speaker 1: of the Borderlanders. Excuse me, the This fight is probably
- 22:59Speaker 1: one of the most brutal fights because Demondred himself is
- 23:05Speaker 1: raining down. He's raining down so much damage. He's shooting
- 23:09Speaker 1: bailfire like he He's just drawing a line of bellfire
- 23:14Speaker 1: through the enemy through the forces of the Light. The
- 23:17Speaker 1: sean Shan and the isid I are doing their best
- 23:20Speaker 1: to hold back the Ayad, but it seems like the
- 23:23Speaker 1: Iod have both surprisingly have both the combined forces of
- 23:28Speaker 1: the isid I and the Demane outmatched. For the most part,
- 23:35Speaker 1: the two forces are able to hold each other at bay.
- 23:38Speaker 1: But the thing is is that the isid I don't
- 23:41Speaker 1: use bail fire, but the dread Lords and the Iod
- 23:44Speaker 1: have no such quarry. They have no they are not
- 23:48Speaker 1: held up by that, so they're raining bail fire down
- 23:52Speaker 1: on the forces of the Light. Trolluks are at one.
- 23:57Speaker 1: The Troluks have also have allso have been numerously outmaneuvering
- 24:02Speaker 1: the forces of the Light. So at this point it's
- 24:05Speaker 1: no longer there are no There are no great captains
- 24:09Speaker 1: holding the line UH giving out orders or battle or
- 24:14Speaker 1: coming up with strategies the since they've all been removed
- 24:18Speaker 1: due to their compulsions, it's now been left to Matt Coffin.
- 24:24Speaker 1: So Matt Coffin for his UH. For what it's worth,
- 24:29Speaker 1: Matt Coffin Coffin has proven himself to be an excellent
- 24:32Speaker 1: battle strategist. Hell, the the other great captains take note
- 24:36Speaker 1: of this, and and even the Shaun Shan's own captains
- 24:39Speaker 1: are all like these are These are some outrageous maneuvers,
- 24:44Speaker 1: but well done. So the battle becomes more less, It's less,
- 24:50Speaker 1: the battle becomes more than just clashing of like multiple forces.
- 24:56Speaker 1: It's a game. It's been it's been turned into a game.
- 24:58Speaker 1: With Demon Dread giving out orders and maneuvering his forces
- 25:02Speaker 1: on one end, and with Matt having convinced both Fortuona
- 25:06Speaker 1: and Elaine and Igwaine to give him command of their forces.
- 25:10Speaker 1: They he is now fighting basically a game of outmaneuvering
- 25:16Speaker 1: Demon Dread. The thing is is that Demon Dread is
- 25:20Speaker 1: considered the father of warfare. Back in the age of Legends,
- 25:23Speaker 1: Demon Dread was the one who rediscovered the art of
- 25:26Speaker 1: war because before the collapse, warfare had been extinct. It
- 25:33Speaker 1: had been long forgotten for centuries, if not thousands of years.
- 25:39Speaker 1: But Demon Dread during the collapse, rediscovered it. He put
- 25:43Speaker 1: he pieced together the art of warfare, troop maneuvers, strategies,
- 25:49Speaker 1: all everything to do with warfare. He rediscovered it and
- 25:52Speaker 1: he mastered it. The only person that was said to
- 25:55Speaker 1: have been even better at warfare than Demon Dread was
- 25:58Speaker 1: the Dragon himself. So now Demon Dread believe on Demon
- 26:05Speaker 1: Dred's side. He notices that the forces of the Lights
- 26:08Speaker 1: have been out maneuvering him as well. For every maneuver
- 26:11Speaker 1: he has, they come up with a clever counter counter maneuver,
- 26:15Speaker 1: and Demondred is like, hmm, I wonder who's been out
- 26:18Speaker 1: maneuvering me? Like he thinks that he believes that the
- 26:20Speaker 1: person out maneuvering him is the dragon Reborn himself, and
- 26:24Speaker 1: throughout the battle he's continuously shouting, calling out the dragon,
- 26:29Speaker 1: saying to face him directly, but he never does because
- 26:33Speaker 1: he's not there. Throughout the battle, they take heavy losses.
- 26:41Speaker 1: At one point, Demon Dred's forces also assault the shan
- 26:46Speaker 1: Shansk encampment. They the ay Ood traveled directly into the
- 26:50Speaker 1: center of the camp and start massacring the reserves before
- 26:53Speaker 1: the Demane are able to fight them off. It's during
- 26:57Speaker 1: that it was during this meeting that it was before
- 27:02Speaker 1: this encounter that Matt was coming up with new strategies.
- 27:08Speaker 1: Men herself was sent to deliver order to deliver messages
- 27:12Speaker 1: from Elaine, and she notices with Men's viewings. She notices
- 27:17Speaker 1: that several of the shan Chan have like viewings on them,
- 27:20Speaker 1: like images above them, and she mentions it to Matt
- 27:23Speaker 1: and this catches Fortuona's attention and she immediately recognizes that
- 27:28Speaker 1: Men is what the shan Shan call call a doom seer.
- 27:32Speaker 1: So I've mentioned before how touon herself or now, Fortuona
- 27:36Speaker 1: has a big thing for omens. She's often looking at
- 27:40Speaker 1: looking out for signs and omens and things like that. Well,
- 27:43Speaker 1: as it turns out, this comes from the fact that
- 27:45Speaker 1: the shan Chan have had several doom doom seers in
- 27:50Speaker 1: their culture's history. So doom seers can see can see
- 27:55Speaker 1: the future through omens, so they see images and viewings
- 27:59Speaker 1: and and oftentimes doom seers are used by the by
- 28:05Speaker 1: the Imperial family to as as their truthsayers, so they
- 28:09Speaker 1: speak so the truth sayers and the shaun Chan nobility
- 28:12Speaker 1: they can spa basically speak their minds whenever they want
- 28:16Speaker 1: to the to the Empress themselves or even and to
- 28:20Speaker 1: her royal family, and not worry about taking not worrying
- 28:24Speaker 1: about suffering any kind of like repercussions because you know
- 28:27Speaker 1: how like royalty like royals are, you speak out, speak
- 28:31Speaker 1: the wrong thing to them, and they'll like cut off
- 28:33Speaker 1: your head for insulting them. Well, truth sayers are are
- 28:37Speaker 1: exam from that. Their very purpose is to call out
- 28:39Speaker 1: the royal family for any time they make a stupid
- 28:42Speaker 1: they make a stupid decision. So immediately Fortuana seizes men
- 28:49Speaker 1: and makes her her new truthsayer, as well as announces
- 28:53Speaker 1: her as the doom Seer, and the shaun Jean immediately
- 28:57Speaker 1: began to like they're basically almost worship men, and while
- 29:01Speaker 1: Min is not entirely happy with this, she kind of
- 29:05Speaker 1: she kind of rolls with it. And in this meeting,
- 29:10Speaker 1: while they're meeting h with each other and Matt's trying
- 29:14Speaker 1: to come up with new strategies. Unfortunately, the IYAD attack,
- 29:19Speaker 1: and uh, they end up killing a lot of the
- 29:22Speaker 1: They end up killing a lot of the Sean Sean
- 29:24Speaker 1: Suan who had been escorting who had been escorting men.
- 29:28Speaker 1: She tries to go. She tries to step in to
- 29:31Speaker 1: help save Matt and the Empress. Unfortunately, Suan is killed
- 29:37Speaker 1: in the crossfire. Ladies. So, Devin, you good, I have
- 29:45Speaker 1: none a new song? All right?
- 29:53Speaker 2: Sorry, continue, don't give me that look.
- 29:58Speaker 1: Yeah, I am good, Okay, okay, okay, I'm just like
- 30:02Speaker 1: noticing your lack of reaction to the fact that Suon died.
- 30:09Speaker 1: There we go. That was the reaction I was looking for.
- 30:13Speaker 2: So dead like dead dead.
- 30:18Speaker 1: As in deceased, like don't quote me on this fellaws,
- 30:20Speaker 1: but I think this one is deceased. Unfortunately, So when
- 30:26Speaker 1: the when the IAD attacked the Sean Shawn encampment, Suon
- 30:30Speaker 1: tried to step in to save not only men but
- 30:33Speaker 1: Matt and the Empress. Unfortunately she she is killed in
- 30:37Speaker 1: the crossfire, and by extension, Gareth Brynne dies as well.
- 30:45Speaker 1: Whenever a warder, whenever a isid Eye dies, the warder
- 30:50Speaker 1: that they were bonded to, he doesn't die necessarily, just
- 30:54Speaker 1: croaks like like, oh no, my isid I is dead. No, uh,
- 30:59Speaker 1: there's still but they felt her. They'll feel their eyes
- 31:02Speaker 1: toize death and this drives them insane and cause it
- 31:08Speaker 1: causes them to to become very aggressive, lose all form
- 31:13Speaker 1: of self restraint, and uh become very reckless. In fact,
- 31:18Speaker 1: on the other side of the battlefield, where Gareth brnn
- 31:20Speaker 1: was still he was still in the fight, he was
- 31:22Speaker 1: just no longer giving orders. He was in He was
- 31:25Speaker 1: riding along some alongside some of Elaine's forces when he
- 31:29Speaker 1: suddenly just loses it and charges into the into the
- 31:33Speaker 1: line of Trollix where he is where he is butchered
- 31:36Speaker 1: almost immediately. So Suan Sanche, the former Amberline Queen Emmeerlind queen. Well,
- 31:46Speaker 1: when you think about it, the Amberline seat is a queen,
- 31:48Speaker 1: but the former Amberlin seat is now dead.
- 31:53Speaker 2: That's some bullshit, yep.
- 31:57Speaker 1: The thing is is that while the thing is that
- 31:59Speaker 1: Fortune doesn't exactly take this attack lightly, and she begins
- 32:04Speaker 1: to question her alliance with the others, and Matt tells
- 32:10Speaker 1: her decide. Matt realizes that the only reason why the
- 32:14Speaker 1: Iyad attacked them like this is because they knew that
- 32:16Speaker 1: they were vulnerable. There no somehow, the somehow the enemy
- 32:20Speaker 1: is getting information from from inside.
- 32:23Speaker 2: There's a trader effect.
- 32:25Speaker 1: Mm hmm, spoiler alert. That trader is Mogedion. Yeah, Mogedian's.
- 32:31Speaker 1: Mogedion had infiltrated and disguised herself as an attendant inside
- 32:35Speaker 1: the Shaun Shan's camp and she's all but she disguised
- 32:39Speaker 1: herself cleverly as one of the uh as one of
- 32:43Speaker 1: the attendants in the Empress's tent. So while Matt is
- 32:48Speaker 1: giving out orders, the Empress is just sitting there watching
- 32:50Speaker 1: him like mmm, yes, that's my yes, good toy. Like
- 32:56Speaker 1: she's just watching him because like, see, he's he is
- 32:58Speaker 1: now officially the royal consort of the Empress, so he
- 33:02Speaker 1: has a very high position and it's one of the
- 33:05Speaker 1: very few people that can actually address the Empress directly,
- 33:09Speaker 1: so she keeps us she keeps a sharp eye on
- 33:12Speaker 1: him and the thing is is that Matt, without telling
- 33:15Speaker 1: her directly that there's a trader, he kind of like
- 33:18Speaker 1: he tells her. He basically kind of mouths off to her,
- 33:22Speaker 1: and she she gets the hint there's a trader. So
- 33:25Speaker 1: she orders her forces to withdraw, leaving the ice at
- 33:28Speaker 1: Eye and the other and the other forces to fend
- 33:31Speaker 1: for themselves. But this was only temporary. Matt stays behind
- 33:37Speaker 1: and continues to give orders. Eventually, Uh. Eventually they're able
- 33:43Speaker 1: to root out, root out m'geei and from their from
- 33:46Speaker 1: their encampment men who decided to stay with the Shan
- 33:51Speaker 1: shan Uh. She's trying to convince them to go back
- 33:54Speaker 1: and rejoin the fight because they've at this point, they've
- 33:57Speaker 1: completely withdrawn, and while she's in middle convincing them, she
- 34:04Speaker 1: realizes that, wait a second, the reason why they pulled
- 34:06Speaker 1: out is because they because Matt believed there's a trader.
- 34:09Speaker 1: What if this trader is a channeler and she knows
- 34:12Speaker 1: with men her foresight allows her to see. She's able
- 34:18Speaker 1: to tell if somebody is a channeler because while she
- 34:21Speaker 1: doesn't always see viewing around them, she always sees these
- 34:24Speaker 1: strange little motes of light surrounding them so aside from
- 34:29Speaker 1: looking at the demane, she looks at some of the
- 34:31Speaker 1: attendants that are in the tent with Fortuana, and she
- 34:35Speaker 1: notices one of them, a rather unassuming attendant, has like
- 34:40Speaker 1: a bunch of motes of light surrounding her, and she
- 34:43Speaker 1: realizes this must be the spy, because the Shan Shan
- 34:45Speaker 1: would never allow a channeler to be among them. While
- 34:51Speaker 1: she so, while the Empress is giving out her proclamations
- 34:55Speaker 1: that they will they'll just simply retreat back to their
- 34:58Speaker 1: territory and make their stand, and there men makes a
- 35:01Speaker 1: show of calling out the Empress, to calling her at
- 35:04Speaker 1: full telling her like you were wrong, et cetera, et cetera.
- 35:06Speaker 1: And while everyone's so engrossed with her little, her little
- 35:10Speaker 1: like just just her little roast, like her little show
- 35:16Speaker 1: of the roast of the Empress of the Sean Sean,
- 35:18Speaker 1: she immediately whips out a knife and throws it at
- 35:21Speaker 1: the attendant. But before the knife hits the attendant, it
- 35:25Speaker 1: freezes mid air, and everyone in the attends like like gasp.
- 35:31Speaker 1: The guess and Mogedian, who had disguised herself, looked annoyed,
- 35:35Speaker 1: and she's like, ah fuck, And she immediately opens a
- 35:38Speaker 1: gateway and escapes before the Demonic can catch her. Like
- 35:43Speaker 1: peace I Bitch is like peace out, and men and
- 35:52Speaker 1: the and the Empress revealed that they knew there was
- 35:55Speaker 1: a spy amongst them and then need to weed that
- 35:57Speaker 1: spy out before they could rejoin the fight. Fortuna immediately
- 36:01Speaker 1: orders that therefore the shaun Chans who rejoin the fight.
- 36:05Speaker 1: In the interim, the other the other leaders. The other
- 36:10Speaker 1: leaders were trying to figure out a way to break
- 36:14Speaker 1: the Trolleic and Sharn forces. They know the only the
- 36:18Speaker 1: best option is to go for Demon Dread, But Demon
- 36:23Speaker 1: Dred has has surrounded himself with an with an army
- 36:27Speaker 1: of like hundreds of his of his Sharn foot soldiers
- 36:30Speaker 1: and ayad. And while they're debating, While the leaders are
- 36:38Speaker 1: debating the best course of action to take to to
- 36:41Speaker 1: take them off the field, Igwainne's warder and Elaine's brother,
- 36:48Speaker 1: Gawin Tracan, comes up with his own plan. So when
- 36:54Speaker 1: he when Gwen and Igwayine had escaped from the from
- 36:58Speaker 1: the camp when the when the Sharons had attacked, Gowen
- 37:03Speaker 1: had scouted ahead to find the best way to escape,
- 37:06Speaker 1: but when he did, he had put on one of
- 37:08Speaker 1: the one of the tarangriol rings that he had taken
- 37:12Speaker 1: from the from the shan Shan assassins. They were called
- 37:16Speaker 1: uh I believe they're called death knives or and it's onportant.
- 37:22Speaker 1: The shan Chan had their uh uh the shan Shan
- 37:26Speaker 1: there's they have special assassins that use tarangreol that are
- 37:30Speaker 1: in the form of rings. These rings, when they put
- 37:32Speaker 1: them on, makes them. It gives them the ability to
- 37:36Speaker 1: hide in the shadow, so they are almost completely unseen.
- 37:39Speaker 1: And even if they're not in like complete darkness, you
- 37:42Speaker 1: can't really focus on them directly m hm, you can't
- 37:46Speaker 1: really focus on them directly. So there makes them very fierce,
- 37:50Speaker 1: fearsome assassins. So the problem is is that Gowen found
- 37:55Speaker 1: out from he found found out from Ilwin that those
- 38:01Speaker 1: tarangrial are deadly. When you wear them, that's it you have.
- 38:06Speaker 1: You will it will slowly drain your life force and
- 38:08Speaker 1: you will die. So when Gowen first put he put
- 38:11Speaker 1: one on in the Escape from the Old I said
- 38:14Speaker 1: eye camp. And now his health has been slowly declining
- 38:19Speaker 1: and he's he started using the rings several times. He's
- 38:22Speaker 1: used the rings several times throughout the battle, and his
- 38:27Speaker 1: health is slowly starting to deterior deteriorate. But and while
- 38:31Speaker 1: Igwayne has noticed, she's been too focused on leading the
- 38:35Speaker 1: leading her forces to actually really like express any concerns
- 38:39Speaker 1: over Gowan. Though she had, she did tell herself she
- 38:42Speaker 1: may need to pull him from the battle and send
- 38:44Speaker 1: him UH and send him to the hospital, to the
- 38:47Speaker 1: wartime hospital back in uh Maim is he getting is
- 38:51Speaker 1: he too distracting? Gowan is now he knows that he's
- 38:58Speaker 1: about to die, so he decides that if he's going
- 39:01Speaker 1: to die, he's going he's gonna might as well try
- 39:05Speaker 1: a shot at taking out Demon Dread. So putting on
- 39:07Speaker 1: the UH, putting on the death the death knife rings,
- 39:13Speaker 1: he immediately becomes shadowed UH. He immediately becomes UH concealed,
- 39:19Speaker 1: and he manages to sneak his way behind enemy lines
- 39:22Speaker 1: and get close to Demondred. While Demon Dread has been
- 39:25Speaker 1: giving out orders, UH Logan himself has also given out
- 39:30Speaker 1: orders to kill any to his own forces, to kill
- 39:33Speaker 1: any male channelers, So any UH shaman that are not
- 39:37Speaker 1: associated with his a shaman needs to be killed immediately,
- 39:40Speaker 1: and UH several of his own forces have actually managed
- 39:43Speaker 1: to infiltrate the Sharn line. Behind Sharn lines, Androl and
- 39:49Speaker 1: Pravara had disguised themselves had disguised themselves as enemy dread
- 39:54Speaker 1: Lords while they were searching for tay In because the
- 39:56Speaker 1: main their main goal is to find Masrm tay And and
- 40:01Speaker 1: take him off the board. Uh. But because of their disguises,
- 40:05Speaker 1: they get brought before Demondred, who gives them orders to
- 40:08Speaker 1: find uh to go support Tayaim who is on the
- 40:11Speaker 1: other side of the battlefield. So they're like, okay, cool cool,
- 40:16Speaker 1: mister Demon Dred sir or And just after, right after
- 40:20Speaker 1: they leave, Gowen manages to sneak close uh, manages to
- 40:24Speaker 1: sneak close to Demondred. Demon Dreds back was turned. Gowen,
- 40:28Speaker 1: being completely shrouded, was able to slip past all of
- 40:32Speaker 1: his uh all of Demon Dred's forces, and he manages
- 40:39Speaker 1: to tackle Demon Dread to the ground uh because Demondred
- 40:42Speaker 1: was sitting on his horse. But he manages to tackle
- 40:44Speaker 1: him and get him off the ground. But Demondred somehow
- 40:46Speaker 1: sensed him coming, not entirely sure how he wasn't not
- 40:51Speaker 1: It doesn't really say how he sendsed him, but Demondred
- 40:54Speaker 1: rounds on him before he gets tackled to the ground
- 40:56Speaker 1: the two he quickly uh. He quickly collects himself and
- 41:02Speaker 1: the two engaged in a brutal fight. Gowen, who is
- 41:07Speaker 1: who is by his own right a blades master, realizes
- 41:12Speaker 1: he is completely outmatched by Demondred. Demondred doesn't even use
- 41:15Speaker 1: the power to fight him, he just fights him using
- 41:18Speaker 1: just his own sword, and Demondred quickly proves to be
- 41:22Speaker 1: an insane duellist. He's pairing, he's countering every move, almost
- 41:27Speaker 1: like it's lazy, and until eventually Demondred gets the better
- 41:30Speaker 1: of him and stabs Gowen. Okay, so Gwen, using the
- 41:38Speaker 1: blood the Troangrieil rings to conceal himself, sneaks behind enemy
- 41:43Speaker 1: lines and manages to get close to Demondred, but Demondred
- 41:47Speaker 1: notices notice him approaching, but Gwen was able to tackle
- 41:52Speaker 1: him off of this fort and the two of them
- 41:55Speaker 1: immediately begin their fight. Now, Gwen thinks that he had
- 41:59Speaker 1: the advantage because he still concealed using the rings. But
- 42:02Speaker 1: for some reason mm hmm, Lucas just texted me. He
- 42:12Speaker 1: said the tracking from EPs said that his is gonna
- 42:14Speaker 1: appear today. Okay, whatever we gotta I gotta like close
- 42:19Speaker 1: this up. We got like an hour before I have
- 42:21Speaker 1: to go. Uh. So Gallen and Demon Dread immediately fight
- 42:28Speaker 1: begin uh spark. They begin their fight with their swords. Now,
- 42:31Speaker 1: Gallon is a sort is a blaze master in his
- 42:33Speaker 1: own right, but he immediately realizes that he is completely
- 42:37Speaker 1: outmatched by Demon Dread. Demon Dread is a master swordsman.
- 42:43Speaker 1: He's easily somehow, even with uh the advantage of being unseen,
- 42:49Speaker 1: Demondre is able to counter and perry all of his attacks.
- 42:53Speaker 1: Like Gallen was not able to land a like land
- 42:56Speaker 1: a single hit, but he takes several wounds before Demon
- 42:59Speaker 1: Dread slips in and stabs Gowan. This is a fatal
- 43:06Speaker 1: This was a fatal wound. Gwen was barely able to
- 43:10Speaker 1: escape since he was still concealed by the rings. He
- 43:13Speaker 1: was able to escape. He is later found by his
- 43:17Speaker 1: older brother Galad. Galad was given a copy of Matt's
- 43:24Speaker 1: Fox said Tronreoal and he was given orders to kill
- 43:28Speaker 1: as many male Channelers as possible, but he ends up
- 43:32Speaker 1: finding his brother on the battlefield. Gwen, in his final
- 43:36Speaker 1: moments of life, tells Galad the truth about his heritage.
- 43:43Speaker 1: As it turns out Gallad is Randall Thor's older brother,
- 43:49Speaker 1: because both Galat and Rants shared the same mother, Ti Grain,
- 43:57Speaker 1: and while and Ti Grain had then to getting stories,
- 44:01Speaker 1: she had left and Or and travel to the Aiel Waste,
- 44:06Speaker 1: where she joins the spear Maidens, and she would later
- 44:09Speaker 1: return to the Westlands during the Ayel War, and then
- 44:13Speaker 1: she lived but where she would die at the base
- 44:15Speaker 1: of the Dragon Mount, giving birth to Ran. So Galad
- 44:20Speaker 1: now knows that he has that rand is his half brother,
- 44:23Speaker 1: but that's the last thing that Gowan tells him, and
- 44:27Speaker 1: unfortunately Gwen dies. Galad, completely heartbroken over his brother's loss,
- 44:39Speaker 1: charges through the enemy lines and challenge of Demon Dread
- 44:41Speaker 1: to a fight, and the two of them do you
- 44:45Speaker 1: go into a fight now? Demondred at first tries to
- 44:48Speaker 1: just like was like, I'm not, I'm not. I already
- 44:53Speaker 1: fought one. I don't I'm not going to fight another
- 44:54Speaker 1: and tries to kill Demon Demadrid tries to kill Galed
- 44:57Speaker 1: with his power, but since Galad had a copy of
- 45:00Speaker 1: the Fox and Medallion, his power does not touch him
- 45:03Speaker 1: and he's forced to fight yet again lose his sword,
- 45:07Speaker 1: and now Galad proves to be just as skilled if
- 45:11Speaker 1: not slightly more skilled than his younger brother as a
- 45:14Speaker 1: sword fighter, but even Galid realizes quickly that Demon Dread
- 45:19Speaker 1: far out matches him m hm. And while their fight
- 45:23Speaker 1: was slightly was slightly lengthier, he unfortunately does he unfortunately
- 45:32Speaker 1: loses the fight as well. Demon Dread stabs and chops
- 45:38Speaker 1: off Galat's hand. Though Galad survives, he manages to make
- 45:45Speaker 1: a quick retreat and he is later brought to the
- 45:48Speaker 1: field hospital in Mai and he's now permanently out of
- 45:53Speaker 1: the fight. Ah Igwayne unfortunately feel the death of her warder. Now,
- 46:02Speaker 1: I said I survive. I said I easily survived the
- 46:07Speaker 1: deaths of their warders, though it is heartbreaking and it
- 46:10Speaker 1: does oftentimes leave them crippled for a short period of time.
- 46:15Speaker 1: Mainly when an isidye loses their warder, they have a
- 46:19Speaker 1: hard time embracing the source, like they'll find that they
- 46:22Speaker 1: can't hold onto the source as easily as they used to. Now,
- 46:25Speaker 1: of course, let's go the way after a few months
- 46:28Speaker 1: of rest and mourning. But in Igwaine's case, she doesn't
- 46:31Speaker 1: have that luxury. She's in the middle of the battlefield
- 46:34Speaker 1: when she senses Gallon's death and she immediately collapses. She's
- 46:40Speaker 1: taken back to the to the camp where she's taken
- 46:43Speaker 1: out of action. She later wakes up, and while she
- 46:46Speaker 1: is still heartbroken over her husband and warders death, she
- 46:51Speaker 1: she composes herself surprisingly like what with difficulty, but yet
- 46:57Speaker 1: surprisingly she they will to hold herself together. The person
- 47:01Speaker 1: that was that had carried her and stayed with her
- 47:04Speaker 1: back at camp was Leo Win, the former Sean Shawn
- 47:07Speaker 1: captain m HM, and Leo Win tells her that her
- 47:14Speaker 1: uh like tells her that she will fall, that she
- 47:17Speaker 1: will serve her and she will like she Leowin had
- 47:21Speaker 1: already given her given her word that she will serve
- 47:25Speaker 1: the Isidy in any capacity, and Agwayne asked her how
- 47:29Speaker 1: like and what capacity would that be? How far are
- 47:33Speaker 1: you willing to go to serve the isid I and
- 47:35Speaker 1: Leo Went takes a knee and she says, I'll do
- 47:37Speaker 1: whatever it takes, and Igwayne is like, cool, you're minute
- 47:41Speaker 1: water and immediately bonds Leo Winn as her warder and Igwayne,
- 47:48Speaker 1: still armed with far As so Angreal, immediately rejoins the battle. Later,
- 47:54Speaker 1: Lan Lane, who has been leading his cavalry against the
- 47:58Speaker 1: Sharines for some time learned that both Gallon and Gwen
- 48:03Speaker 1: had been taken down by Demon Dread and real like.
- 48:07Speaker 1: At this point, Land is like, all right, we're not
- 48:10Speaker 1: good enough. That's enough. He immediately rides through enemy lines
- 48:16Speaker 1: and confronts Demon Dread directly. Land himself confronts Demon Dread directly,
- 48:25Speaker 1: and let me tell you something, Land scared Demon Dread
- 48:32Speaker 1: actually did. He actually like took caught Demon Dread off guard.
- 48:36Speaker 1: Now Demondred has his own sense of honor. Before Land
- 48:41Speaker 1: confronts Demon Dread, Demon Dread had to withdraw shortly from
- 48:45Speaker 1: the battle UH. He had been using Sikarnin extensively as
- 48:49Speaker 1: well as the power of the Ayad. And the thing
- 48:52Speaker 1: about Sikarnan is that Sikarnin does not was not built
- 48:55Speaker 1: with a buffer. So Onrell and onreall as part of
- 49:00Speaker 1: the UH. In order to make an effective one, they
- 49:03Speaker 1: need a special buffer. The buffers prevent the channeler from
- 49:09Speaker 1: drawing too much power from the Angrell and killing themselves
- 49:12Speaker 1: or burning themselves out. But in the Age of Legends,
- 49:17Speaker 1: excuse me, I'm sorry, there's something in my eye. In
- 49:20Speaker 1: the Age of Legends, eh, okay, I'm just gonna have
- 49:28Speaker 1: to ignore it. I'm sorry, God damn it. In the
- 49:32Speaker 1: Age of Legends, especially during the collapse leading up to
- 49:36Speaker 1: the War of Power, the Ancient ICE's Eye began mass
- 49:42Speaker 1: producing Ariel and Aungril by the mother load, and unfortunately,
- 49:47Speaker 1: especially with the Sangreal, they weren't They rush ordered these
- 49:51Speaker 1: things and they didn't properly build them with buffers. So
- 49:56Speaker 1: many of the sangreal that survived the Age of Legends
- 50:00Speaker 1: don't have buffers, making them extremely dangerous to use. Coalandor
- 50:04Speaker 1: doesn't have a buffer. The Children Call didn't have a buffer,
- 50:07Speaker 1: and Sikarnin and Voris Sangreal also do not have buffers,
- 50:11Speaker 1: meaning there is a there is an inherent risk of
- 50:13Speaker 1: using them. So if you draw too much power from them,
- 50:16Speaker 1: you could either kill yourself or you could or you
- 50:19Speaker 1: could burn yourself out, which will completely cut you off
- 50:22Speaker 1: from the power, which in most people's opinion, that is
- 50:26Speaker 1: a fate worse than death.
- 50:28Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 50:29Speaker 1: So, so Sikaranen, aside from not having a buffer, also
- 50:33Speaker 1: is also very taxing on the user. So Demon Dred
- 50:37Speaker 1: had to take a break and uh I had to
- 50:40Speaker 1: unfortunately had to force himself to take a break and
- 50:44Speaker 1: recuperate for some time and in the In the interim,
- 50:48Speaker 1: he was approached by Tayan and he gave or Mahano
- 50:52Speaker 1: and Demondred was like, Hmmm, for the time being, I'm
- 50:58Speaker 1: gonna have to I'm gonna have to sit, sit things
- 51:00Speaker 1: out and just give orders for the sidelines. But here
- 51:03Speaker 1: he gets he gives times Carnin and he tells and
- 51:09Speaker 1: he tells Tim, well time, uh use bail fire as
- 51:14Speaker 1: much as possible, take this while you're at it, and
- 51:18Speaker 1: reek havoc. So Tayim joins the battle. For the most part,
- 51:24Speaker 1: the Channelers have been fighting like a to a two
- 51:26Speaker 1: way battle, with the isid Eye and the Demane on
- 51:29Speaker 1: one side and the dread Lords and the Iad on
- 51:33Speaker 1: the other. Taim goes to join them and begins raining
- 51:36Speaker 1: bailfire on their forces, and in the meantime, Demondred gets
- 51:44Speaker 1: assaulted by Land. Now Land did now this time? Demon
- 51:50Speaker 1: Dread warns Land that I've already killed two of her
- 51:52Speaker 1: so called blades. Master might as well give up now,
- 51:56Speaker 1: but Demon but Land doesn't just ignores him, ride straight
- 51:59Speaker 1: up to him, and they launches into attack into a
- 52:01Speaker 1: furious attack against Demon Dred. The two of them battle
- 52:05Speaker 1: back and forth, and Demon Dread is shot to find
- 52:08Speaker 1: that he's being pushed back, that Land is over here,
- 52:14Speaker 1: matching him blow for blow and is even countering him
- 52:17Speaker 1: just as effectively as Demon Dread is countering Land. And
- 52:21Speaker 1: demon and Demondred is like who are you? And Lan
- 52:24Speaker 1: is just like I'm your death and the two of
- 52:30Speaker 1: them their fight does come to a quick end. Demon
- 52:33Speaker 1: Dred does manage to stand uh deal a somewhat fatal
- 52:37Speaker 1: blow to Land. But Land but that was part of
- 52:41Speaker 1: Land's strategy. He knew he couldn't just beat Demon Dread
- 52:44Speaker 1: in a fair fight, so he allowed himself to. He
- 52:48Speaker 1: allowed Demon Dred to pull to get in into his
- 52:51Speaker 1: guard and stab him. He maneuvered himself so he'll be
- 52:54Speaker 1: stabbed just at the right angle and then but before,
- 52:59Speaker 1: But then Demon Dread realized, oh he made a mistake,
- 53:03Speaker 1: because Land immediately drives his sword into Demon Dread, killing him.
- 53:10Speaker 1: And oh yep, the Sharans as a result pull back
- 53:16Speaker 1: because they've lost their leader. Mm hmm, and Land is
- 53:21Speaker 1: he does manage to retreat. He survived. Thank god. I
- 53:24Speaker 1: would have been mad if Land, if all people, I
- 53:26Speaker 1: would have been mad if Land died. He's too much
- 53:29Speaker 1: of a boss. Like like no, like no.
- 53:33Speaker 3: Don't take it from us, goal was one thing. Gallen
- 53:36Speaker 3: was another. Don't you take my boy, don't you take
- 53:42Speaker 3: the land from us?
- 53:47Speaker 1: I wish he's granted land survives, he's healed, and he's
- 53:50Speaker 1: able to rejoin the fight. On the other side of battlefield,
- 53:53Speaker 1: there is a fearsome battle going on between the Channelers.
- 53:58Speaker 1: The landscape itself is being torn apart with the dread
- 54:04Speaker 1: Lords and Sharon's raining fire and bail fire down on
- 54:07Speaker 1: the forces of the Light and then you have the
- 54:10Speaker 1: Demane and the isaid I furiously fighting them back. It's
- 54:15Speaker 1: a it's a literal uphill battle. Thegwayne rejoins the fight,
- 54:19Speaker 1: and she is a fierce She is fierce. She is
- 54:23Speaker 1: slaughtering dread Lords and iod left and right, and she
- 54:27Speaker 1: has Leo Win with her. And Leo Win is a
- 54:30Speaker 1: fearsome fighter too, just as effective as Gawan was, if
- 54:34Speaker 1: not slightly bettered. Yeah, and at one point, uh Igwayne
- 54:42Speaker 1: notices that there's an even more power. There's a very
- 54:46Speaker 1: powerful dread Lord on the other on the other side,
- 54:49Speaker 1: raining down bail fire left and right, and he's decimating
- 54:52Speaker 1: the Isidi and Demane. When she looks up. She sees
- 54:56Speaker 1: it's another than magic tyen wielding his own wielding the
- 55:00Speaker 1: carnon and channeling. It doesn't say, it doesn't exactly say
- 55:05Speaker 1: who was stronger in this fight, but in this fight
- 55:09Speaker 1: she but for what it's worth, she was able to
- 55:12Speaker 1: effectively fight. He immediately starts fighting him, encountering him. So
- 55:17Speaker 1: this fight now it comes down to two of the
- 55:19Speaker 1: strongest channelers on both sides, with a GWayne on with
- 55:22Speaker 1: the ambulan the literal ambulance seat fighting the new Forsake
- 55:27Speaker 1: in Mahael like. I can just see the the Mortal
- 55:34Speaker 1: Kombat like.
- 55:35Speaker 4: But yeah, that sounds lit And the thing is is
- 55:42Speaker 4: that Tim is mainly using bailfire.
- 55:46Speaker 1: He's not using any other ways but bail fire, and
- 55:49Speaker 1: Agwayne decides that she's going to use a new trick,
- 55:52Speaker 1: that she's going to start using a new trick that
- 55:54Speaker 1: she came up with, so kind of we're gonna rewind
- 55:58Speaker 1: a bit. So before the best before the battle began
- 56:01Speaker 1: at marilor Igwayne had started noticing, as well as many
- 56:05Speaker 1: of the forces of the Light had started noticing that
- 56:07Speaker 1: these strange cracks began to appear in the earth around them.
- 56:11Speaker 1: These cracks aren't like normal cracks in the ground. They
- 56:14Speaker 1: look like just pure shadows like breaks in the path.
- 56:18Speaker 1: They were described as little as actual breaks in the pattern,
- 56:21Speaker 1: like fractures in the pattern. Now, these cracks would appear
- 56:25Speaker 1: and they would last for like a minute or two
- 56:27Speaker 1: before fading into what looks like normal cracks in the ground.
- 56:30Speaker 1: But if you look into one that freshly appears, it's
- 56:33Speaker 1: just pure darkness. All you see is pure darkness. And
- 56:41Speaker 1: when GWayne. When Agwayne first sees it, she examines one
- 56:45Speaker 1: of the cracks more directly, and realizing that there is
- 56:49Speaker 1: something she can do about it, she weaves together all
- 56:53Speaker 1: five of the powers and she actually manages to seal
- 56:57Speaker 1: one of the cracks and the crack. So she seals
- 57:01Speaker 1: the crack, the darkness disappear, disappears, and in its place
- 57:06Speaker 1: is like a strange growth of crystals. Now she believes
- 57:11Speaker 1: she discovered a new weave, and she later realizes that
- 57:14Speaker 1: this weave is the direct counter of bailfire, because up
- 57:21Speaker 1: until this point there is no counter for bailfire. Bailfire
- 57:24Speaker 1: is completely unblockable, unless, of course, you have a large
- 57:28Speaker 1: slab of of quendiar. Because quendyar is the only material
- 57:34Speaker 1: that is unaffected by by bellfire. But unfortunately, there is
- 57:39Speaker 1: no quendiar that is large enough that can block a
- 57:42Speaker 1: beam of bailfire. So yet, but.
- 57:47Speaker 2: Yet, she found a weave.
- 57:49Speaker 1: She found a weave that, while it doesn't block bailfire,
- 57:52Speaker 1: it directly counters it, so it basically neutralizes it. So
- 57:57Speaker 1: bailfire the way it works is that it actually burns
- 57:59Speaker 1: your threat from the pattern. So when it strikes you,
- 58:03Speaker 1: while in that moment you may have disappeared in a
- 58:06Speaker 1: mode of light, you may have gotten disintegrated in that moment,
- 58:11Speaker 1: the exact moment that you actually died actually happens in
- 58:14Speaker 1: the past. And depending on how strong the channeler was,
- 58:20Speaker 1: most average chandlers bail fire you, uh if they shoot
- 58:23Speaker 1: bailfire at you, and most they can only burn you out,
- 58:26Speaker 1: burn you out of the pattern going back a few days.
- 58:29Speaker 1: But someone as powerful as Taye who's using a who's
- 58:32Speaker 1: using sakurnin, you could burn you out days if not
- 58:35Speaker 1: uh like weeks if not months from from the pattern.
- 58:41Speaker 1: So and typically when this happens, everything you've done within
- 58:45Speaker 1: that timeframe is undone. Yeah, it changes literally it literally
- 58:52Speaker 1: changes the the effect you've had on time. So everything
- 58:56Speaker 1: you've directly and interacted with, every significant event or or
- 59:02Speaker 1: like action you've taken, is completely undone. So time will
- 59:05Speaker 1: literally change and shift around. And in the past bailfire,
- 59:09Speaker 1: overuse of bailfire has caused the pattern to nearly break.
- 59:14Speaker 1: So but Iguaine's new Agwayne's new weave, which she calls
- 59:20Speaker 1: the flame of Tarbaalaan, does the exact opposite mm hm.
- 59:25Speaker 1: So rather than burning you out of the burning your
- 59:29Speaker 1: thread from the pattern, it fills in the gaps. Which
- 59:34Speaker 1: so just like bailfire, it's a stream, it's a beam
- 59:38Speaker 1: of light, but everything it's but everything it touches. Rather
- 59:43Speaker 1: than burning it from existence, it either transmutes it into
- 59:47Speaker 1: this crystalline substance or causes these crystals, these strange crystals
- 59:51Speaker 1: that are nearly indestructible, to appear. So the first time
- 59:56Speaker 1: she so when time directs bailfire directly at her, she
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: uses her new weave. And when the two when their
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: two beams collides bailfire, the bailfire immediately winks out and
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: has no effect on them, and Tanine is like completely
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: shocked and it's like, what the fuck just did that
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: just happen? But he was behooved, but Tanim was not
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: about to let uh was not about to let that
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: stop him, so he immediately shoots bailfire at her again,
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: this time having a better handle of her new weave,
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: she weaves it again and shoots the flame of Tarblawn
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: at him. Their two beams connect again, and it's a
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: bit of a there's a bit of a shoving match
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: between their beams, but Eva but herst overwhelms his and
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: her wheat so her weave strikes Tiny completely turning him
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: into crystal. And the thing is at this point Igwayne.
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: She had been operating on pure emotion and to turn
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: and just grit and pure pure emotion, and she realizes
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: that she over her. She overdid it with that last weave.
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: So Tyine is dead, but so is she. She realized
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: that she's drawn too much power from from varas ungreoll
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: and excuse me from varasa ungreall, and she knows that
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: she releases the power she at worst she will either
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: die or she will be burned out, left completely powerless
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: and unable to touch the source ever again. So instead
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: of accepting her fate her fate, she turns to Leowyn,
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: who had who had stood by her the entire time,
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: tells her this is the end. I release you from
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: from your valves, and Leowin was like, what, No, Like,
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: you can't just do that, but Agwaine doesn't give her
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: a choice. She immediately opens up a gateway, pushes leo
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: Win through and undoes her water bond from leo Win,
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: And before Leowin could get up and rush back through
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: the gateway, agwainne closes it. And then she turns back
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: to the to the encroaching forces of Iad and dread Lords,
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: and with the power completely infused within her, she releases
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: it all. She releases all that power, weaving it into
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: another burst of the flame of Tarvalon, which I've taken
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: to calling at parthfire. Honestly, it makes I like calling
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: it partfire because flame of Tarvlon. That's a bit of
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: a mouthful, but yeah, Anyway, he releases another blast of
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: of Tarvalon's flame and her force, like her own forces,
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: the Demanay and the ice I, they had managed to
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: retreat from the battle, but the Eyd and the dread
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: Lords didn't have that, didn't quite get that chance, and
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: they are immediately enveloped by her. Her released weave. She
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: releases a massive blast. It appears in a pi pillar
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: of light, turns everything around her into crystal. And all
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: that's left is just a massive pillar of crystal.
- 1:03:25Speaker 2: Damn.
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: Like half of the heights that they that they had
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: been fighting on got turned into crystal. Uh. Most of
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: the Iyod and the dread Lords were were killed by
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: this blast. And all that's left is this pillar of crystal,
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: and the and the heights begin to collapse. Now I
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: do want to RELI I just I was gonna I
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: was gonna get back to Logan because Logane was gonna
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: show up too. Before Land had taken out Demon Dread,
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: Logane had also tried to fight him. Uh. And the
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: thing is, Logane in terms of power is as powerful
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: as Demon Dread in terms of base power. But Demondred
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: had having Siicarnin and Uh earlier he had he still
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: had Scarnin, and he still was linked to the other Iyad.
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: He easily wipes the floor with Logan and Logan is
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: barely able to escape. Now, Logan decides to instead focus
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: his efforts on finding Tayin and taking him down. But
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: after Iguaine's sacrifice, Uh, she was able to kill him,
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: and he realizes he had realized that Tayen had Scarnin,
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: so he goes so. He later go approaches the place
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: where uh Tyine had died. He sees the pillar of
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: crystal and notices that while Igwaine herself is not seen
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: inside the crystal, they can see Varasangril inside of it
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: and they He approaches the the popsicle that is now
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: u that was once Tyan and sees that Sikarnin is
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: trapped inside the crystal as well, and Logaan tries to
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: get the tries to get it to take its power
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: for himself and to turn the tide because now the
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: trolks are being routed are are slowly being routed the
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: the the Iyad have been mostly wiped out by Igwayne
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: and the Sharons are now in full retreat. Damn, so
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: he tries to take the take it for himself, but
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: he realizes the only way he can get to it
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: is if he uses bailfire. But before he could take it,
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: he gets word from his allies that the trolks are
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: attacking a are attacking some ruins nearby where several refugees
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: and wounded have been taken. So and so faced with
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: this conundrum, Tan decides to abandon his search for Uh,
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: decides to abandon his efforts to take siicarn In for
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: himself and immediately takes as a shaman and goes to
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: help the refugees. And there and he does it, and
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: he is able to rescue the refugees. Now, ladies and gentlemen,
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: this is where the battle is slowly coming to an end.
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: After Demon Dread's death at the hand of land Molgeian
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: returned and tried to take tries to take command of
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: the Sharons. She does this by disguising herself as Demon Dread,
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: but the Sharans are a little bit skeptical because they
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: many of them had witnessed Demon Dread's death. And while
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: she's trying she's in the middle of trying to convince them,
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: her efforts are thwarted when a gateway opens up behind him,
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: and when she turns around, like what like what the deuce?
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: M Yeah, like like huh. On the other side of
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: the gateway, she notices is a cave like a cavern
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: of some kind, and inside the cavern are a bunch
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: of dragons. So the so the dragons that Elaine had
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: cast had rescued. There was only about two or three
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: left that survived. She Matt had come up with a
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: clever uh, he had come up with a clever strategy.
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: They hid. They hid the dragons in some caves that
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: are directly underneath the heights, and they using the Ashaman
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: and the and the kin, they would have opened gateways
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: random points on the battlefield and start firing off the
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: cannons into directly into enemy lines. So they would open
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: up the gate fire off some open fire, close gateways,
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: reopen them at another position, fire again. So this has
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: been happening all over the battlefield. But as soon as Dread, Yeah,
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: so as soon as Demon Dread and Tayim had been
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: taken out, they immediately started opening gateways into the Sharons
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: battle lines. And Mulgamion turns around just in time to
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: see them open up open fire on the sharp and
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: is completely routing them. Damn forcing and Mogeian survives, but
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: she is she escapes as she does because she's a
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: coward of course. So the Sharans and the trolks have
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: been routed, but there's still thousands of them, and now
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: at this point it is just clean up. But the
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: thing is that they're still at risk of being overrun
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: by the Trolks, by the Trolok and Sharons. Now earlier
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: in the last up, later in the last episode, I
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: mentioned that Fayel and Olver had had managed to have
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: gotten themselves behind enemy lines by mistake. Now the thing
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: is the two of them were still carrying the Horn
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: of the Leer and they were desperately trying to get
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: it to Matt because right now Matt is the only
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: person that can use it, since he was the last
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: person to use the horn. Unfortunately, so Fayl herself tries
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: to lead the trolic forces away from Olver, and Olver
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: had tried to get the Horn of the Lyer to Matt,
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: but he gets cornered, and he gets cornered by the
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: Trolocks and he is forced to hide in a crevice
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: in the heights itself, and the Tralocks are desperately trying
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: to get to him, and Over in desperation, blows the
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: Horn of the Leer, hoping that the sound from the
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: horn will at least draw the draw the force of
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: the light to him. Now the thing is that the
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: golden peel that is released from the Horn of the
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: Leer is heard by the entire battlefield and the force
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: of the light. No, it's coming from behind enemy lines.
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: And they are immediately filled with dread because they're like,
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: oh shit, the enemy has blowing the horn of the leer. Yeah.
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: And the thing is that the enemy blows the horn
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: of a leer. That means that either Matt is dead.
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: And that also means that the that the spirits of
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: the of the heroes because it summons this. So what
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: the horn of the layer does that it summons the
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: spirits of history's greatest heroes. Right, these heroes are actually
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: spirits that have that are like cornerstones. They play a
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: key role in the pattern itself, and the wheel of
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: time often weaves will continuously weave their spirits back into
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: the pattern repeatedly, so they're constantly being reincarnated. These guys,
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: their spirits. When they're reincarnated, they they have a major
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: role within the pattern. And when they hear this, they think,
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: oh shit, the enemy has the horn of the leer.
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: But that's not the case. The spirits of this, of this,
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: the spirits of the heroes do reappear, but they're not
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: fighting for the But they're not fighting for the Trolics
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: or the dark. They're fighting for the Light, and Oliver
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: is the Herald. So, as it turns out, when Matt so,
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: Matt technically died when he made his original deal with
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: the ale Fin. So this was back in Rudy and
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: book four when after he made his deal, he foolishly
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: forgot to tell his he foolishly forgot to negotiate for
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: uh away out of the Eelfin's realm. So they gave
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: him what he asked for, but they hung him as
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: a result from the from the Tree of Life, and
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: he had technically died before Wren had saved him and
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: resuscitated him, so he was no law So this entire time,
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: he was no longer bound to the Horn of the League,
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: so that meant anybody could blow the horn, and when
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: overblown blew it. He was able to summon the Heroes
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: of the Dead, and together their forces were able to
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: overrun the Trolks. Now, just to rewind a bit, just
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: before now, just before the horn was blown, Elaine's forces
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: were slowly being overrun and at one point they get
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: attacked by several Dark friends that they didn't before, but
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: Elaine was able to fight them off. But in the process. Uh, well,
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: I'm sorry, Elaine wasn't was having a hard time fighting
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: them off. Her forces get completely routed, So what remains
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: of the Andorans get completely routed and scattered, and her
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: order Burgit was killed. So when Burgette spirit reappears, she's
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: now in her full urgent silver arrow, the hero, the archer,
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: She's in full her full attire. She immediately rushes back
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: to Ain to Elaine and saves her and together they
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: together they managed to rally the other and Dooran men
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: to her. And it's funny because Elaine she gets this
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: idea to grab a sword and start fighting with her
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: with her sword. And the thing is she's she's so
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: she's riding on her she's on horseback. She's riding up
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: and down the trollic ranks like hacking and slashing, and
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: bridget later like asked her, why did you do that?
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: That was so reckless? Like well, she the well, once
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: I needed the end door, I need the other and
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: Doorans and Kyrine Kyriene and to be that their queen
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: is fighting on their behalf and so I can expire them.
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: She and bridges like bird just like, were you sure
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: that was gonna are you really sure that was gonna work?
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: And Eline was like, well, it was either they'd either
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: see me and immediately become filled with the spirit the
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: countryman spirits seeing their queen fighting with them, or they
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: would see that I would that I clearly don't know
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: how to use his sword, and immediately come to my defense.
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: Either way, they would have seen her with a sword
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: and immediately think, oh, ship, the queen has a sword.
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: Quick help her, help her. She's gonna die like somebody.
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: Somebody saw her. She hadn't know what she's doing. So
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: the ands and the Kyrine is under her under her command,
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: immediately rally and they pushed back alongside the the heroes
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: of the Horn of Valier Matt uh He Matt immediately
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: goes to where he heard the Horn of Valiers sounding
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: from and finds over the two. He manages to get
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: over safety and he starts giving the two of them
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: start giving commands over of course, giving uh letting Matt
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: take command of the of the heroes of the Leier
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: m hm and the battle is all but one. So
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: the battle is all but one that now we're gonna
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: slowly come bring This battle is slowly coming to an end.
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: Matt begins reorganizing his forces and saying, they got one
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: last assault to fight, and that is at Child Goal
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: because they're probably because back at child Goal they're not
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: Things are not looking pretty for them.
- 1:14:54Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: But before we go back to Child Goal, Logan who
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: who had been given charge of the seals, mm hmm,
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: he had. He had just rescued the rest of the refugees,
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: many of us whom were too often the tinkers. They
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: had joined the battle. They had joined the battle in
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: the fighting capacity, but rather in a capacity to find
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: survivors on the battlefield and take them back to get healed. Uh.
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: He had just rescued them. The people were He realized
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: that he had learned of men's viewing of him, that
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: he would one day be He would attain uh, he
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: would attain some form of glory. And he realizes that
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: that glory wasn't from obtaining massive amounts of power like
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: he was trying to do, but rather by turning people's
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: opinion of male channelers. Because the asham he led the
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: a shaman to rescue these people, these refugees, they all
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: looked to them like heroes. And he realized this was
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: the glory that he was meant to find. And in
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: the distance he sees a bright light. Now this light
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: wasn't coming from the pillar that of Agueen's death that happened,
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: that had already happened, but this was coming far to
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: the north, brilliant pillar of light. And he realizes is
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: that he realizes it was at that moment that he
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: needed to break the seals. So he does. Reaching into
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: his pocket, he pulls out each the last three seals
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: and one by one breaks them. And now we're going
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: to go back to the battle of Chiogoal. Now this
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: battle is not as lengthy as the other one, as
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: the other one without Root that's rolled Yaiyel captains and
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: other and the other of the dragon Sworn had to
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: basically fend for themselves. And they were slowly being pushed
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: back to the mouth of Chilegal. They're being completely overrun
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: by trollicks, the child forces mm hmm. And they were
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: also being overrun by dark hounds or shadow hounds. These
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: shadow hounds are a form of shadow spawn that are
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: almost completely unkillable. They were created from the from the
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: spirits of wolves and turned into these dark, grotesque creatures.
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: Even if you were to chopped one's head off, it'll
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: immediately liquefy and reform itself into the full body. So
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: the only the easiest way to kill one is with
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: either with fire or with bailfire. You have to completely
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: destroy its body in order to kill it. And the
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: Iel forces were being overrun. They're facing trollocks, they're facing Dracar,
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: they're facing the Shadow, the Dark Hounds, and they're also
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: facing their own people. As I mentioned before, the Dark Uh.
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: The Dark Forces had been capturing male ideal channelers every
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: time they were sent into the Blight because culture traditionally,
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: the Iel will send their own forces, their their own
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: people into the blight. If they discovered that they have
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: the ability to channel, so rather than just genceling them
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: or killing them, they would the men would be allowed
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: to travel to the Blight where they can just fight
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: to They could just fight with honor to the death
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: using their power. But what had what the Dark had
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: been doing. They had been capturing these men and turning
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: them into dread boards. So the and the thing is
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: is that these dread boards would began having children of
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: their own, so their descendants became known as the Nest.
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: Sayin the nest Sayin were like basically a bastardization of
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: the Ael. They wore blood, they they wore crimson catosaurs uh,
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: and they wore red veils instead of black, and instead
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: of veiling themselves when they're about to kill or while
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: they're in the fight, in the middle of a fight,
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: they keep a veil on at all times, but only
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: unveil themselves, revealing sharp filed teeth. And they would only
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: reveal their their teeth their faces when they're about to
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: kill somebody. And most of these guys could channel, and
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: they were killed. They were deadly killers. So the wise
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: ones in the ay Eel and even some and even
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: some of the eyes to Ie that traveled there, we're
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: having a hard time fighting the Sayin and the thread Lords.
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: And at one point they start realizing that their own
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: people are turning against them, and that's because Hesselam had
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: joined the fight as well. So the fight comes down.
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: The fight against Hesselam had come down to several of
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: the Wise women, including pat Swain and Olivia. Olivia was
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: the is the Sho was the former Demani and she
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: is currently the most powerful female channeler on their side.
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: She's even stronger than nineve like. In terms of power scale,
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: Olivia was as powerful as uh Land, Fear and Samouraged,
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: who were the strongest female forsaken. Now the thing is
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: is that had Slam she immediately started. She immediately started
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: placing other channelers under her compulsion and compelled them to
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: join her in a link. So with the with these
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: channelers under her control and linked together, she was top.
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: She was bouncing all around the battlefield, compelling uh the
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: forces of the Light to fight each other, as well
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: as braining down fire and bail fire on the remaining forces.
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: So she was spreading chaos left and right, and at
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: one point uh So Avienda, kat Swain, some of the
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: other wise ones and Olivia have been trying to pin
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: down and fight Hesslon, but she being linked together with
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: her with the other talents under compulsion, she was proving
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: to be too powerful for them, so Alvianda decides to
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: try to sneak up on her. At one point, Though
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: she does, she doesn't counter what she thought was one
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: of the insane who attimes her and she manages to
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: kill him, but she later realized But she later realizes
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: that the man she just killed was actually Ruald. Her
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: own plan chief Roll was under Hesslam's compulsion, so there
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: was nothing she could do for him, so she immediately
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: she tries to sneak up on Hesselon and the two
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: of them do fight momentarily, but unfortunately Hesselon unfortunately, their
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: fight results in an explosion that results in Avianda being crippled.
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: Her feet do get severely injured to the point where
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: it practically almost got They practically have blown off and
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: Alvianda tries to open the gateway to escape, but Hesseelon
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: corners her and is and decides, like, you know what,
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: I'm gona place you under compulsion too, gets you to kill,
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: get you to cause them have it. But before Hesselm
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: can do that, like Hesseelm starts forming the compulsion weave,
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: Avianda decides to take a page out of her her
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: first sister's book, and she begins to peel apart the
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: weave of the gateway she just opened now when now, normally,
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: whenever a channeler decides to turn off a weave to like,
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: they just simply release the weave and it fades right now. If, however,
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: if you systematically pull a weave apart, this can be
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: very deadly because this will either cause the weave to
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: either backfire or explode, and Elaine had done this several
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: books back, in the wake of the in the wake
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: of the Bowl of the Winds event. This was in
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: What Book Said No. Book eight, the beginning of book
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: eight and UH in order to escape the Sean Shan
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: and make sure that Sean Sean don't discover the weave
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: of traveling, Elaine had had peeled apart the leave that
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: created the gateway and it exploded violently. So Avianda decides,
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: you know what, I'm gonna do the exact same thing,
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: and she does. She pulls apart the weave and it explodes.
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: Now the explosion wasn't as big as Elaine's, but it
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: did just the It did just the job. It knocks
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: her and Hesselom off their feet and on their asses.
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: And when Avienda turns to look at Hesselon, Hesselon, as
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: it turns out, has been placed under her own compulsion.
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: So when she was forming a weave and the compulsion
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: weave and was gonna set throw it on Avienda UH,
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: the explosion caused the UH the weave, her own compulsion weave,
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: to backfire back into her own face and she ends
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: up getting put under her own compulsion. So now Heslam
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: is uh compelled to do anything that Avienda wants. Of course,
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: so Avienda tells her to like immediately stop compelling the others,
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: which she she obeys, and she notices. Avianda notices that
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: there's a strange mist appearing around the valley and this
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: mist is killing people. So, as it turns out, Padden
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: Fane has appeared on the battlefield, and pad and Fane
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: excuse me, padd and Fane, with now having a more
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: mature form of the power of Shadarlo Goth or Mashadar,
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: as the mis entity is called, has begun sumthing this
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: distensive entsity and it's killing the people left and right,
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: both the forces of the Light and the trollet forces
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: mh and he has been slowly making his way to
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: the mouth of Chio Gold because he wants to try
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: to kill Rand. And before he gets there, Matt appears
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: because Matt in the interim Matt had led his forces
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: had decided to let lead reinforcements to Chio Goal and
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: Matt appears from the sky. He flew in through He
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: went through a gateway, but flew in on one of
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: the Seawan Shan's racket raking. He confront He confronts Mashadar directly,
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: and the thing is he manages to disarm the Sharlo
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: Goth knife from patent Thane and he manages to kill
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: pattent thing and destroy the knife permanently. This causes and
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: the thing is when he does this, he actually grabs
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: he uses Mashar's own knife to kill it, and this
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: causes the mist entity to disappear. And the myths had
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: been also transforming the corpses of dead products into slaves,
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: so he had like like zombie. He had a zombie
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: horde with him as well. They immediately die. Ah Olver
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: was with him and and Oliver uses the Horn of
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: the Layer to summon the spirits of the dead heroes.
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: But it does more than just uh summons their spirits
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: as well, it also summons the spirits of wolves. These
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: wolves are much bigger and much stronger than typical wolves
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: in them and with the with these spirits, with these
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: spirit wolves on their side, the spirit wolves immediately attack
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: the dark Hounds and it turn and as it turns out,
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: the spirit wolves were able to also kill the shadow
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: Hounds like they're able to easily kill it and hurt
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: the shadow Hounds, I guess because since they're of a
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: similar nature, they're able to actually hurt and do more
- 1:27:12Speaker 1: harm to the to the shadow Hounds. Yeah, and for
- 1:27:20Speaker 1: the most part that and for the most part the
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: battle is almost won. Now we come to the final stretch.
- 1:27:27Speaker 1: While everything has been happening, Rand has been engaging in
- 1:27:30Speaker 1: a strange mental fight against the Dark One. The Dark
- 1:27:34Speaker 1: One what he would do is what he's been trying
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: to do is break Rand's spirit in order to compel
- 1:27:39Speaker 1: him to do in order to take control of him
- 1:27:42Speaker 1: and also to finally break free of his prison and
- 1:27:47Speaker 1: destroy the pattern. Mm hmm. But Rand has a stronger
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: will and he's able to keep the Dark One at bay.
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: And the Dark One what the Dark One had been
- 1:27:58Speaker 1: doing is he'd been bringing pulling Ran into these strange
- 1:28:03Speaker 1: illusions visions of different worlds, and he shows him, He
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: shows him like two different visions. He showed two of
- 1:28:13Speaker 1: the more prominent visions that the Dark One shows him
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: was the first one was what the Dark One shows him,
- 1:28:20Speaker 1: a vision of the world that he plans on creating.
- 1:28:22Speaker 1: But this world, this vision is based off of how
- 1:28:25Speaker 1: people believe what people believe the Dark One was going
- 1:28:29Speaker 1: to do, what he was going to how he was
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: going to remake the world. And what Rand saw was
- 1:28:33Speaker 1: a world where, yeah, everything is in darkness, the world
- 1:28:37Speaker 1: is dead or dying. There's blight. The blight has consumed
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: the entire world. And then, like his own friends had
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: been turned into dread Lord's ninive, especially.
- 1:28:47Speaker 5: The Source had been completely like corrupted, like now where
- 1:28:55Speaker 5: before the corruption was just like a thin layer of
- 1:28:57Speaker 5: oil over the team, over the over the Source.
- 1:29:01Speaker 1: Now it's like just this just it's no longer a
- 1:29:06Speaker 1: thin layer. It's just like this thick, corruptive layer completely
- 1:29:11Speaker 1: enshrouding the Source. And Rand is horrified, but immediately counters
- 1:29:17Speaker 1: the Dark One with a vision of his own. Because
- 1:29:19Speaker 1: the because the two of them are now connected to
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: the pattern directly, he's able to reshape the pattern to
- 1:29:26Speaker 1: show him a possibility, to show they're showing each other
- 1:29:29Speaker 1: possible worlds, and Rand shows him that this is the
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: world he wants to build, and it's a world where
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: the Dark One is gone, like where he's dead. Like
- 1:29:40Speaker 1: Rand wants to kill the Dark One, but Rand realizes
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: that his own the world he plans on remake on
- 1:29:46Speaker 1: making is in itself dangerous because without the as it
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: turns out, without the Dark One, there will be no
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: such thing as free will. So like the world that
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: he that he envisioned without the Dark One is completely docile.
- 1:30:04Speaker 1: There's no war, no violence. But the people there are
- 1:30:08Speaker 1: some for some reason, are very odd, like the concept
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: of violence and warfare are defending themselves is just completely foreign,
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: and it seems like it just seems like there is
- 1:30:21Speaker 1: no such like free will has been completely removed. And
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: the Dark One, and the Dark One like laughs at him,
- 1:30:28Speaker 1: encounters with another vision of his own, saying like you
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: cannot this, saying like this, like this is the real
- 1:30:35Speaker 1: world that I plan on making. The first one was
- 1:30:38Speaker 1: just was just the world that your that your kind
- 1:30:42Speaker 1: fears that I will make. But this is more of
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: what I'm gonna make. And in the world that the
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: Dark One shows, and it's a world where basically morality
- 1:30:49Speaker 1: has been completely flipped. So morally speaking, you would write,
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: you would want to do the right thing and not
- 1:30:55Speaker 1: choose violence. But in the dark On the world the
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: Dark One wants to make, it's the exact opposite. You
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: want to choose violence, so it looks normal like it mean,
- 1:31:06Speaker 1: there's life, there's prosperity, but people choose violence. Where they
- 1:31:13Speaker 1: would choose the things that is the exact opposite of
- 1:31:16Speaker 1: they choose the exact opposite of morality. So while it
- 1:31:19Speaker 1: doesn't look too much different, while it doesn't look too
- 1:31:21Speaker 1: much different from the world the way it is now,
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: the main difference is that compassion, mercy, all things that
- 1:31:31Speaker 1: are good are now seen as evil, immoral. So it's
- 1:31:38Speaker 1: been a completely it's a moral morally flipped subject. So
- 1:31:42Speaker 1: Rand he's starting to lose faith, He's starting to lose
- 1:31:46Speaker 1: hope because of because they both are using the pattern
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: to show like to try to like break each other's will.
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: But RND is realizing that he needs to approach this differently.
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: The world he envisions without the Dark One will essentially
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: the world of free will. Without the dark One, without
- 1:32:03Speaker 1: there being the immoral choice the bad choices, there will
- 1:32:07Speaker 1: be no free will, and that of itself is evil. Yeah,
- 1:32:14Speaker 1: So Rand manages to pull himself out of the Dark Ones,
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: h out of the Dark One's visions. He pulls himself out,
- 1:32:24Speaker 1: and he really and he re engages his fight with Morden,
- 1:32:28Speaker 1: but Mordan manages to disarm him and take Kalandor for himself.
- 1:32:32Speaker 1: Morodan thinking like haha, victory is mine, he realizes that
- 1:32:39Speaker 1: Kalandor is somehow a is also a hungreill that allows
- 1:32:44Speaker 1: him to channel the true power, which has never been
- 1:32:49Speaker 1: seen before. So somehow Kalandor was designed to be allowed
- 1:32:53Speaker 1: to also be a hungreill for the true power, and
- 1:32:56Speaker 1: Mordan immediately tries to starts using it to channel more
- 1:33:00Speaker 1: power from the dark One. But it's a trap. It
- 1:33:06Speaker 1: was a carefully laid trap by Rand. Rand realized that
- 1:33:10Speaker 1: the main weakness of Coalandor was that while using it,
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: somebody can initiate a link with him and take over
- 1:33:17Speaker 1: and take control of his power. So that was a
- 1:33:21Speaker 1: huge that was a major flaw and like the only
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: workaround through it was that in order to properly use Coalandor,
- 1:33:29Speaker 1: the person wheelding Colandor needs to be included with a
- 1:33:32Speaker 1: within a link of two other channelers, mainly two other
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: female channelers, with one of the female channelers leading the link.
- 1:33:39Speaker 1: But this link can be initiated against his will. So
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: when as soon as Morden immediately starts channeling through Coalandor,
- 1:33:49Speaker 1: Ran shouts now Moraine and Ninive, who at this point
- 1:33:53Speaker 1: have been sitting by and watching they they create a
- 1:33:57Speaker 1: link with each other and immediately seize control of Morgan's
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: power through Colandor, and after seizing its power, they immediately
- 1:34:07Speaker 1: link with Rand, giving giving him control of the link.
- 1:34:12Speaker 1: Rans now realizing that he's faced with a choice. He
- 1:34:15Speaker 1: can either kill the Dark One right now and reseal
- 1:34:17Speaker 1: the Boar completely, or he could just simply seal away
- 1:34:21Speaker 1: the Dark One again, permanently and forever, and he chooses, Thankfully,
- 1:34:27Speaker 1: he chooses the latter. He used so he realized the
- 1:34:31Speaker 1: mistake that that Luce Daron had made. Louise Darron had
- 1:34:37Speaker 1: had placed the seal the original seals on the Dark
- 1:34:40Speaker 1: One's prison without help, well, first of all without help
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: from the female half of the Source, and without some
- 1:34:50Speaker 1: kind of buffer between him and the Dark One, because
- 1:34:54Speaker 1: as soon as he initiated the seal, the Dark One
- 1:34:57Speaker 1: was able to pour his darkness through, threw loose Thearin,
- 1:35:02Speaker 1: and corrupted the Source, which led to three thousand years
- 1:35:06Speaker 1: of madness where male channelers will go mad from touching
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: the Source. But now Rand has both the male and
- 1:35:16Speaker 1: female halfs the Source and the true power on his side.
- 1:35:21Speaker 1: So with the True Power acting as a buffer, he
- 1:35:24Speaker 1: weaves not just the four, not just the five powers
- 1:35:27Speaker 1: of fire, earth, water, air, and spirit. But as it
- 1:35:31Speaker 1: turns out, the pattern has more threads of power, but
- 1:35:37Speaker 1: we're just able. But the heat, they were typically only
- 1:35:39Speaker 1: able to touch five of them. But with the but
- 1:35:43Speaker 1: with colendor and all that, and at this like nexus
- 1:35:47Speaker 1: of the pattern, he was able to seize every conceivable
- 1:35:52Speaker 1: thread of power there was out there, wove it together
- 1:35:55Speaker 1: and then using the and using the True Power as
- 1:35:58Speaker 1: a buffer, he he doesn't just reseal the bore, sealing
- 1:36:03Speaker 1: away the dark One, the boar that allowed the dark
- 1:36:07Speaker 1: ones to come through, but he remakes the pattern completely,
- 1:36:11Speaker 1: makes it anew so there's no seals, there's no quendiar
- 1:36:16Speaker 1: seals that could be broken. In three thousand years, the
- 1:36:19Speaker 1: pattern itself has been completely has been completely repaired, and
- 1:36:25Speaker 1: the Dark One is permanently sealed away for good, or
- 1:36:31Speaker 1: least until the least until the wheel of time durns
- 1:36:34Speaker 1: one full sweep and history repeats itself. Yeah, that's not
- 1:36:39Speaker 1: gonna happen for millions of years, hopefully, Uh yeah, hopefully.
- 1:36:48Speaker 1: And unfortunately, ladies and gentlemen, the amount of power that
- 1:36:51Speaker 1: Rand was using UH does pause him to die die
- 1:37:00Speaker 1: o his power, his body having been weakened by the
- 1:37:05Speaker 1: wounds that never heals. He's UH. He is rendered unconscious
- 1:37:10Speaker 1: and is slowly and he is unfortunately dying. No matter
- 1:37:13Speaker 1: what Nine tries, She's unable to save him. His life
- 1:37:17Speaker 1: force is slowly slipping away. But they also noticed that
- 1:37:21Speaker 1: Morgan is some It's still alive, but has been rendered catatonic.
- 1:37:28Speaker 1: So they take him and they take his They take
- 1:37:30Speaker 1: him and they take his UH, and they take Rand's
- 1:37:33Speaker 1: body back out into the valley and they see that
- 1:37:37Speaker 1: as a direct result of the dark one Bee sealed away.
- 1:37:42Speaker 1: Every shadow creature died, the Blight vanished from the surrounding
- 1:37:50Speaker 1: forests outside of child Goal frolics everywhere, just drop dead,
- 1:37:56Speaker 1: drag par drop dead, the shadow hounds dead. And all
- 1:38:04Speaker 1: that was left were the dread Lords and the what
- 1:38:07Speaker 1: any remaining dread Lords or shadow or dark friends. They
- 1:38:11Speaker 1: were the only ones that were left. And the final
- 1:38:16Speaker 1: battle is over, and the final battle is over. The
- 1:38:22Speaker 1: forces of the Light have won. Now, there were some
- 1:38:25Speaker 1: other battles that had gone on during this After Peron
- 1:38:30Speaker 1: recovered somewhat from his injuries, he discovered that he can
- 1:38:33Speaker 1: now physically enter the dream world, and he immediately goes
- 1:38:37Speaker 1: back into the dream world and confronts the Slayer one
- 1:38:40Speaker 1: more time, this time utilizing his full power, and he
- 1:38:44Speaker 1: successfully manages to kill the Slayer, so he protects so
- 1:38:51Speaker 1: he finishes his fight in the shadow realm. He rescues Gaul,
- 1:38:54Speaker 1: who had been in the who had been in the
- 1:38:57Speaker 1: dream world the entire time because when Perrin had got injured,
- 1:39:02Speaker 1: he was forced to retreat back to the real world,
- 1:39:05Speaker 1: which had unlocked his ability to enter the dream world physically,
- 1:39:10Speaker 1: and Gaul was unfortunately still at the mouth of style
- 1:39:13Speaker 1: Gul in the dream world, but for him, not much
- 1:39:16Speaker 1: time had passed. He had been he had been carefully
- 1:39:18Speaker 1: defending it from any like any outside forces, but he
- 1:39:24Speaker 1: was able to return them both back to the real world.
- 1:39:28Speaker 1: Parent immediately goes back to the field of Marillre to
- 1:39:31Speaker 1: try to find fail He does find her. She was
- 1:39:34Speaker 1: severely injured, but she was alive, and he weeps with
- 1:39:38Speaker 1: He weeps with roy at finding her just no, I
- 1:39:42Speaker 1: will say, just. After he defeats Slayer, Sindane does appear
- 1:39:47Speaker 1: again because Sindane had been appearing to him and trying
- 1:39:49Speaker 1: to manipulate him the entire time that he'd been in
- 1:39:52Speaker 1: the dream world, but he does. At first, he doesn't
- 1:39:55Speaker 1: listen to her, he doesn't really give her much thought.
- 1:39:58Speaker 1: But after killing Slayers, she reappears and she places him
- 1:40:01Speaker 1: under a compulsion, and she was going to use him
- 1:40:05Speaker 1: to one kill Rand and two sees control while she
- 1:40:10Speaker 1: was gonna have him kill Rand while she seizes control
- 1:40:12Speaker 1: of the true power for Morden using Klandor basically, she
- 1:40:17Speaker 1: was basically going to try to take control of the
- 1:40:21Speaker 1: of that circle and use it to take control of
- 1:40:24Speaker 1: the Dark One's power permanently, making putting herself over him.
- 1:40:30Speaker 1: But the thing is is that she underestimated parents will
- 1:40:33Speaker 1: and even though she had put him under compulsion, he
- 1:40:36Speaker 1: manages to shake it off and when her back was turned,
- 1:40:41Speaker 1: he snaps her neck. Yep, so she did. Back at
- 1:40:50Speaker 1: the field of Marillre the Ayad, the Sharans had retreated
- 1:40:55Speaker 1: back to Shara through the using the Iyads Hut, using
- 1:40:59Speaker 1: the Iyads gateway and leaving Mogedi in sitting there just
- 1:41:03Speaker 1: like great she could sense. She sensed it immediately when
- 1:41:07Speaker 1: the Dark One had uh had been resealed, and of
- 1:41:12Speaker 1: course she saw the aftermath for a brief moment after
- 1:41:15Speaker 1: Demondred had been killed. She had been given full access
- 1:41:18Speaker 1: to the true power, and she was gonna she was
- 1:41:20Speaker 1: gonna use it. But she got caught off, but she
- 1:41:23Speaker 1: got out maneuvered, And now the Dark One has been
- 1:41:27Speaker 1: has been fully sealed away, and she knows all the
- 1:41:30Speaker 1: only power she has is what power she had from
- 1:41:32Speaker 1: the source, from just her normal power. But she thought, well, okay,
- 1:41:36Speaker 1: well might as well make make the best use of it.
- 1:41:40Speaker 1: And she was now that the Dark One is gone,
- 1:41:42Speaker 1: she's she's a pretty woman. No one's no one to
- 1:41:46Speaker 1: control her, no one to boss her around. She was
- 1:41:48Speaker 1: gonna try to start uh, she was gonna like she
- 1:41:51Speaker 1: was planning on rallying the dark all the all the
- 1:41:56Speaker 1: Dark friends under her control and try to take over
- 1:42:00Speaker 1: the world seeming handedly. But before she can get any
- 1:42:02Speaker 1: further from behind her, she hears a clink and a snap,
- 1:42:08Speaker 1: and she feels a piece of metal placed around her
- 1:42:11Speaker 1: neck and she turns around and she sees a soul down. Yeah,
- 1:42:19Speaker 1: so the sole doown was like, we may not be
- 1:42:22Speaker 1: able to collar the Marath demoname uh from the ice
- 1:42:27Speaker 1: of the Isidie, but you don't look like an Isidye
- 1:42:31Speaker 1: you're over here skulking about, hiding behind like like you're
- 1:42:35Speaker 1: up to no good. You're free game. Damn. So she
- 1:42:42Speaker 1: got got got, she got got got. So as of
- 1:42:47Speaker 1: now there are only two forsaken left, Heslam and mogedi In.
- 1:42:53Speaker 1: But Hesselam I believe she ends up getting executed because
- 1:42:58Speaker 1: they're not just gonna leave her a lot, and Mogedian
- 1:43:01Speaker 1: is now a demane of the Shaan Sean again. This
- 1:43:07Speaker 1: is in the first time she got collared, though this
- 1:43:09Speaker 1: time it's going to be even less pleasant.
- 1:43:12Speaker 2: Damn.
- 1:43:13Speaker 1: That's like in the after that of the battle, The
- 1:43:18Speaker 1: forces of Light gather at child Goal, which has surprisingly
- 1:43:22Speaker 1: turned into a lush paradise. Grass has been They had
- 1:43:26Speaker 1: been desolate and barren before, but now life has returned
- 1:43:30Speaker 1: almost seemingly, like seemingly just out of nowhere. Trees are growing,
- 1:43:37Speaker 1: grass and plants are quickly overtaking the bodies of the
- 1:43:40Speaker 1: dead trolls and unfortunately, the aid I announced mainly Elaine, Elaine,
- 1:43:49Speaker 1: men and Avienda. They gather around around Rand's body and
- 1:43:55Speaker 1: they later announced that he had passed. Yeah, and not
- 1:44:01Speaker 1: long later that night, a funeral Pyres built brand and
- 1:44:06Speaker 1: before the free People's the forces of light, the ice
- 1:44:10Speaker 1: ad Eye, and all the other allies. His body is premated.
- 1:44:17Speaker 1: Now people knew that Rand had taken Aveanda, Elaine and
- 1:44:23Speaker 1: men as his consorts, but for some reason, they a
- 1:44:26Speaker 1: lot many of them realize that none of them are
- 1:44:29Speaker 1: showing any kind of real remote remorse. They're they're not crying,
- 1:44:33Speaker 1: they don't look like very concerned. They quickly organize his funeral,
- 1:44:38Speaker 1: and then from there they go their separate ways. But
- 1:44:42Speaker 1: in the middle of the funal, while everyone's distracted by
- 1:44:44Speaker 1: the funeral, back in Rand's tent where where his body
- 1:44:51Speaker 1: had been kept, Morgan's body gets up and after the
- 1:45:01Speaker 1: man that was once moreed in looks himself in the
- 1:45:03Speaker 1: mirror and realizing that while this body had pretty much
- 1:45:08Speaker 1: the same proportions as his old one, it's not much changed.
- 1:45:12Speaker 1: Other than like physical appearance and his hair color, he's
- 1:45:15Speaker 1: pretty much the same man. The man sees that there
- 1:45:20Speaker 1: have been some clothes and some pouches of money left
- 1:45:24Speaker 1: for him. He immediately dresses, takes up his sword, and
- 1:45:28Speaker 1: goes outside and finds that his horse had been ready
- 1:45:30Speaker 1: for him. He gets on his horse and he starts
- 1:45:34Speaker 1: to ride out of the valley, heading south, and before
- 1:45:38Speaker 1: he leaves, he looks back towards the funeral and he
- 1:45:41Speaker 1: sees that his three lovers were all staring back towards him,
- 1:45:48Speaker 1: and Randall Thor, now his spirit, now inhabiting the body
- 1:45:53Speaker 1: that once belonged to Morden, leaves child gull. He no
- 1:45:57Speaker 1: longer has access to the True Power or the One Power,
- 1:46:01Speaker 1: but even his diverendabilities have disappeared, but he notices he
- 1:46:05Speaker 1: still is able to do a few tricks. He pulls
- 1:46:08Speaker 1: out his pipe, fills it with some good two rivers
- 1:46:11Speaker 1: to back Flick, snaps his finger and lights it, and
- 1:46:18Speaker 1: Ran all four goes to start his new life. So
- 1:46:24Speaker 1: what had happened was is that Rand's and Mordan had
- 1:46:27Speaker 1: this strange connection with each other. They could they were
- 1:46:31Speaker 1: able to sense each other, and through and through this connection,
- 1:46:34Speaker 1: Ran was able to access the True Power from Morden.
- 1:46:39Speaker 1: But upon the Dark Ones defeat, Morodin was cut off
- 1:46:43Speaker 1: from the True Power, and basically being cut off from
- 1:46:47Speaker 1: the True power power is even worse than being cut
- 1:46:50Speaker 1: off in the One Power, and he immediately goes pretty
- 1:46:55Speaker 1: much dies, but their spirits end up switching places. So
- 1:47:01Speaker 1: just before Rand's body died, his spirit used through the
- 1:47:06Speaker 1: connection with Morden, switches over to Mordan's body while spirit
- 1:47:13Speaker 1: then Morden died, yep, Mordan's spirit It's transferred into Rand's body.
- 1:47:18Speaker 1: But since Rand's body was already dying, it was more
- 1:47:21Speaker 1: than who died. And Rand looks back and he still
- 1:47:26Speaker 1: has access to loose Aaron's memories. He looks back and
- 1:47:29Speaker 1: he thinks, well, Helen got you finally got the end
- 1:47:32Speaker 1: you desert you've always loonged for. And he leaves, and
- 1:47:39Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen, that is the end of the Wheel
- 1:47:43Speaker 1: of Time series. Wow, we will not, aside from the
- 1:47:48Speaker 1: companion and the prequel that was released not long after
- 1:47:51Speaker 1: this one, we will not see another entry to the
- 1:47:56Speaker 1: Wheel of Time, which I was a little bit sad. Yeah,
- 1:47:59Speaker 1: I was a little bit sad because you know, honestly,
- 1:48:01Speaker 1: I was kind of hoping, like, why don't we explore
- 1:48:03Speaker 1: the conflict between the a Eel and the Shawn Kahn,
- 1:48:07Speaker 1: you know, why don't we explore that, like or they
- 1:48:10Speaker 1: could eat you know, we could. I was hoped. There
- 1:48:12Speaker 1: was so much that I was hoping for. But since
- 1:48:15Speaker 1: Robert Jordan unfortunately passed away before he could finish the series.
- 1:48:18Speaker 1: It was up to Brandon Sanderson to complete the series
- 1:48:21Speaker 1: for him, and he did just that. He did spectacular
- 1:48:25Speaker 1: job at ending this series. Yeah, and I gotta I
- 1:48:30Speaker 1: gotta tell you this, this book was actually giving me
- 1:48:32Speaker 1: like things, act like, it was making me like nothing.
- 1:48:37Speaker 1: I was getting a lot of dread because I was
- 1:48:38Speaker 1: just like, Oh my god, they're all gonna lose. They're
- 1:48:40Speaker 1: gonna lose. Oh my god, people are dying, going is dead.
- 1:48:42Speaker 1: Suan's dead, like Fayel is fucking dead. Or I thought
- 1:48:47Speaker 1: she was dead because it seemed it hinted that she died. Uh.
- 1:48:50Speaker 1: Davren Bashir unfortunately dies and I believe uh. And then
- 1:48:55Speaker 1: Gareth Brynn died. I believe the the chin errand Captain
- 1:49:01Speaker 1: Lord Algemeyer died.
- 1:49:03Speaker 2: Mm hmmm.
- 1:49:04Speaker 1: The only one that it seems like the only great
- 1:49:06Speaker 1: captain that survived was Rhodell Itold. But yeah, thank you
- 1:49:15Speaker 1: guys so much for uh for sticking with us for
- 1:49:19Speaker 1: this entire series. It was a long one. It was
- 1:49:23Speaker 1: a long one, and I think in the future, if
- 1:49:25Speaker 1: we do review a series this long, we're gonna break
- 1:49:29Speaker 1: it up. So because yeah, because I mean we kind
- 1:49:35Speaker 1: of did that with this because by the time we
- 1:49:36Speaker 1: got to what was a book seven, we got to
- 1:49:39Speaker 1: book seven, and then we had to stop because I
- 1:49:41Speaker 1: had not read the last seven books. But now that
- 1:49:45Speaker 1: we have, we were we were able to finish this book. Now,
- 1:49:49Speaker 1: I will say I did not go into full detail.
- 1:49:52Speaker 1: There's still there's a lot in this book that happened
- 1:49:55Speaker 1: that I did not talk to talk about. I honestly
- 1:49:57Speaker 1: almost forgot about parn because his fight was so like
- 1:50:00Speaker 1: it felt more of like a side like a little
- 1:50:03Speaker 1: bit of a side story, because he was fighting in
- 1:50:04Speaker 1: the dream world and it really didn't have much of
- 1:50:09Speaker 1: an effect on the greater battle at hand. There was
- 1:50:11Speaker 1: so much more that happened, Like Matt actually in the
- 1:50:16Speaker 1: in the middle of the fight at the field of Marilred,
- 1:50:19Speaker 1: he had actually sent messengers to this one village he
- 1:50:23Speaker 1: had gone through not long not long before the battle,
- 1:50:27Speaker 1: where the people at Sundown would lose their mind and
- 1:50:29Speaker 1: immediately start killing each other, but then in the morning
- 1:50:32Speaker 1: they would come back to life. He had what he
- 1:50:38Speaker 1: what he had done. He since he had recruited them
- 1:50:41Speaker 1: for this fight, and right at Sundown and the last,
- 1:50:45Speaker 1: the last night, you know, Matt summons. He had recruited
- 1:50:50Speaker 1: those villagers from that uh that was cursed to go
- 1:50:54Speaker 1: wild every night and kill each other and anything that moves.
- 1:50:58Speaker 1: And then at the in the morning, if they any
- 1:51:00Speaker 1: one who died would disappear and reappear alive. So he
- 1:51:03Speaker 1: did that, and when the sun when the sun set
- 1:51:07Speaker 1: on the final night of the battle, he uh he
- 1:51:10Speaker 1: had eyes to eye open up gateways to the village,
- 1:51:13Speaker 1: and all these people, deranged people come pouring out, and
- 1:51:16Speaker 1: they immediately start hacking into the trolks and dark friends,
- 1:51:20Speaker 1: and this threw them off. And while some of his
- 1:51:23Speaker 1: allies questioned Matt's like reasoning, like why would you send
- 1:51:27Speaker 1: a bunch of village villagers to your deaths? Matt's like, what, No,
- 1:51:31Speaker 1: don't don't worry. They'll don't worry. They'll be fine. They're
- 1:51:34Speaker 1: they're gonna they come back. They'll come back. And they do,
- 1:51:38Speaker 1: and they do, and they fucking do. Now. Like the
- 1:51:43Speaker 1: the thing is that there's no epilogue, there's no Ah
- 1:51:49Speaker 1: like tune in next time. This is the this is
- 1:51:53Speaker 1: the end. Uh Matt and Matt and Tuan actually uh
- 1:51:59Speaker 1: uh uh they actually go their separate ways here, with
- 1:52:04Speaker 1: Tuan returning to Abu Dhar to of course UH to
- 1:52:08Speaker 1: resecure her position there, and then she plans on later
- 1:52:12Speaker 1: returning to Shan Shan to AH to reunite her empire
- 1:52:16Speaker 1: back there, though I'm pretty sure that's not going to happen,
- 1:52:21Speaker 1: Like the Shan Shan Empire is broken, it's completely broken,
- 1:52:27Speaker 1: or and if she does somehow manage to to reunite it,
- 1:52:30Speaker 1: it's going to be a hard It's a long, hard battle,
- 1:52:34Speaker 1: and I doubt she's gonna be able. She's definitely not
- 1:52:36Speaker 1: going to be able to hold both the entire continent
- 1:52:41Speaker 1: of Shawn Sean and try to retake the wetlands, not
- 1:52:45Speaker 1: in her lifetime. But it would have liked to see
- 1:52:51Speaker 1: more of this world, like new stories, because I felt
- 1:52:55Speaker 1: like this story was going to go on for a
- 1:52:56Speaker 1: lot longer m hm than just fourteen books. Yeah, Like
- 1:53:02Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure that I'm pretty sure the final battle
- 1:53:04Speaker 1: itself would have taken would have been a lot, it
- 1:53:07Speaker 1: would have taken up more than just this one book.
- 1:53:09Speaker 1: Like technically it started in book it started in book twelve.
- 1:53:16Speaker 1: It technically started in book twelve, and it was slowly
- 1:53:19Speaker 1: building up in book thirteen, and then it finally like
- 1:53:21Speaker 1: came to head in book fourteen. But I'm sure it
- 1:53:25Speaker 1: would have lasted a lot longer, like there would have
- 1:53:28Speaker 1: been far more engagements, Like it wouldn't have just it was,
- 1:53:33Speaker 1: It wouldn't have gone as quickly as it did, because
- 1:53:35Speaker 1: if overall the time frame of this battle was probably
- 1:53:37Speaker 1: about three months actually, no, like more like five five
- 1:53:42Speaker 1: six months, because like the first few months was like
- 1:53:46Speaker 1: the different battlefront the four different battlefronts, and then the
- 1:53:50Speaker 1: last three months was like I think the last three months. No, no, no,
- 1:53:53Speaker 1: it was three months. I'd say about three months, because
- 1:53:57Speaker 1: this whole fight was it was long drawn out, but
- 1:54:00Speaker 1: it probably would have if Robert Jordan was still alive,
- 1:54:02Speaker 1: it probably would have been just as long and justice
- 1:54:04Speaker 1: drawn out, even more long and drawn out. But it's over.
- 1:54:11Speaker 1: From now on, we will be returning to We will
- 1:54:14Speaker 1: be doing some standalones from here on. I know Devin
- 1:54:16Speaker 1: wants to do.
- 1:54:18Speaker 2: Helly, I want to talk about a few books here
- 1:54:19Speaker 2: and there. Next week I'm coming back into the frail. Yeah,
- 1:54:23Speaker 2: he's going back here to be hearing from me from
- 1:54:26Speaker 2: the next couple weeks about books I have been reading
- 1:54:29Speaker 2: while he's been reading The Way of Time.
- 1:54:33Speaker 1: Yeah, there's a stack of books I'm gonna read if
- 1:54:36Speaker 1: if I haven't caught up to him by the time
- 1:54:37Speaker 1: to get back to me, we'll probably review a book,
- 1:54:39Speaker 1: an older book I've read. We still haven't reviewed books
- 1:54:42Speaker 1: like The Project Memory Robin. I was thinking of reviewing
- 1:54:48Speaker 1: The Ninth Circus by Aaron Yeah, that's a that's a
- 1:54:54Speaker 1: very good book I'm reading. I'm rereading it. I wrote,
- 1:54:57Speaker 1: I read it for the first ten years ago and
- 1:54:59Speaker 1: I'm rereading it now. So that's what I've been reading.
- 1:55:02Speaker 1: I was I started reading another TJ. Clute book, but
- 1:55:05Speaker 1: the one book I I started reading into this River,
- 1:55:07Speaker 1: I drowned. I won't lie. That's it was very depressing,
- 1:55:10Speaker 1: so I had to take a break. I mean, it's
- 1:55:13Speaker 1: a good it's a cute love story, but it's it's
- 1:55:16Speaker 1: the overall tone of it is depression. And that's hard
- 1:55:19Speaker 1: for me to get through because I'm just like, I
- 1:55:21Speaker 1: can feel myself kind of.
- 1:55:22Speaker 3: Like, yeah, oh my god, he lost his dad and
- 1:55:28Speaker 3: now he can't get over it.
- 1:55:33Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a sweeter it's a much sweeter story than that.
- 1:55:35Speaker 1: But alright, guys, thank you again for what for tuning
- 1:55:42Speaker 1: in and watching the Wheel of Time series. I hope
- 1:55:45Speaker 1: you liked it. And if you haven't seen this. If
- 1:55:48Speaker 1: you haven't seen the show, definitely give it a watch.
- 1:55:51Speaker 1: It's a very good show. Of course, if you've read
- 1:55:54Speaker 1: the books and watched the show, there are plenty of
- 1:55:56Speaker 1: key differences, but for what it is, it is a
- 1:55:59Speaker 1: decent show. It's a pretty good show. Mm hmmm.
- 1:56:02Speaker 2: So well, yeah, thank y' all for listening, and catch
- 1:56:06Speaker 2: y'all next time.
- 1:56:08Speaker 1: Bye bye,
