- 0:00Speaker 1: It's more of Mark the Mark Simon Show on WR Hey, well,
- 0:09Speaker 1: we got a lot to get to this hour. So
- 0:11Speaker 1: they are drawing down in Minnesota, Tom Holman announcing earlier
- 0:16Speaker 1: he will remove seven hundred ICE agents. They got three
- 0:19Speaker 1: thousand there, so he'll take about one third of them
- 0:22Speaker 1: home or somewhere else. Now, the problem is you don't
- 0:26Speaker 1: want to encourage these kind of protesters to move to
- 0:29Speaker 1: other cities. Now. ICE is operating all over America and
- 0:33Speaker 1: in many, many cities on a much bigger scale, and
- 0:37Speaker 1: there's no problem. The locals cooperate. Everything's done in a nice,
- 0:41Speaker 1: orderly fashion. It's only in Minnesota that they decided to
- 0:45Speaker 1: terrorize the ICE agents with protesters confronting them again. Confrontations everywhere.
- 0:52Speaker 1: But one of the reasons they're pulling out is they've
- 0:54Speaker 1: gotten about four thousand dangerous criminals off the street. Could
- 0:57Speaker 1: you imagine the federal governments in a force to remove
- 1:01Speaker 1: the most dangerous criminals off your street, and you get
- 1:04Speaker 1: mad at them and try to block them and try
- 1:06Speaker 1: to give them a hard time. So things calming down
- 1:09Speaker 1: a little in Minnesota. Hey, the Grammy Awards, which was
- 1:14Speaker 1: like the big anti ICE show this year, the Grammy
- 1:18Speaker 1: Awards with all the anti ice stuff, got very very
- 1:22Speaker 1: low ratings, low ratings, even worse than last year. Last
- 1:26Speaker 1: year wasn't so hot. Grammy's hit fourteen million. That's good
- 1:30Speaker 1: for today's television. But you know, the good old days,
- 1:33Speaker 1: the Grammys would get sixty five million, eighty million. Now
- 1:36Speaker 1: it's fourteen million, down six percent from last year, which
- 1:39Speaker 1: wasn't so hot. Hey. By the way, it's the last
- 1:41Speaker 1: year for CBS and the Grammys. You know, the Grammy
- 1:45Speaker 1: Awards have been on CBS for fifty years, beginning in
- 1:53Speaker 1: nineteen seventy three. The Grammy Awards were around in the fifties,
- 1:58Speaker 1: and it was the great producer Pierre Cosette, our old
- 2:02Speaker 1: buddy who I think it was nineteen fifty nine or sixty.
- 2:06Speaker 1: He got the idea to make it into a TV show,
- 2:09Speaker 1: which the networks thought was crazy, but he convinced them
- 2:14Speaker 1: and he got it on television for the first time.
- 2:18Speaker 1: And Pierre's close friend Andy Williams was the first host
- 2:21Speaker 1: of the Grammy Awards and it did very well. But
- 2:24Speaker 1: then about I think it was the early seventies, they
- 2:26Speaker 1: decided to cancel the Grammys. They didn't they weren't interested
- 2:29Speaker 1: in putting it on TV anymore. So Pierre went to CBS.
- 2:35Speaker 1: Bob Wood was the Presidency bus and he was close
- 2:37Speaker 1: to him, con begged and pleaded, convinced him to try
- 2:41Speaker 1: it on CBS. And that's where it's been for fifty years.
- 2:45Speaker 1: But this is the last year. Now it's moving next
- 2:47Speaker 1: year to Disney. Disney made a ten year deal for
- 2:51Speaker 1: the Grammy Awards, so next year it will be a
- 2:54Speaker 1: Disney show. It'll be on ABC, Disney Plus, and Hulu.
- 2:59Speaker 1: It'll be a sign cast on all three. So we'll
- 3:03Speaker 1: see if it does any better streaming. Hey, you know
- 3:07Speaker 1: that silly guy, Jerry Nadler, That waddling, ridiculous looking figure,
- 3:12Speaker 1: Jerry Nadler, left wing angry guy. He's getting a lot
- 3:17Speaker 1: of flack. Yesterday he made crazy, reckless comments. He said
- 3:23Speaker 1: he was going after Ice and he said the major
- 3:25Speaker 1: problem in this country is fascism in our streets. He said,
- 3:30Speaker 1: the attacks and American citizens by masked hoodlums. He's calling
- 3:36Speaker 1: law enforcement hoodlums. If you were attacked by a masked person,
- 3:41Speaker 1: you might think you were being kidnapped. You'd be justified
- 3:44Speaker 1: in shooting the person to protect yourself. So imagine this
- 3:47Speaker 1: is how crazy they get. They're like little children and
- 3:51Speaker 1: they're so angry. And you know when little children are angry,
- 3:54Speaker 1: they just spew anything out of their mouth. But Nadler's
- 3:57Speaker 1: a you know, public official, he should know better, but
- 4:00Speaker 1: he's spewing all this nonsense about you would be justified
- 4:04Speaker 1: in shooting ice because they're masked and you think you're
- 4:07Speaker 1: being kidnapped. And JD. Vance was the first to speak out,
- 4:11Speaker 1: calling Nadler demented, despicable behavior from an elected official. Donald
- 4:18Speaker 1: Trump Junior the guy's demented. Democrats once again openly calling
- 4:23Speaker 1: for violence. But again, you got to remember they're so angry.
- 4:29Speaker 1: The anger is again it's childish anger, like juvenile, childish,
- 4:34Speaker 1: out of control anger that they can't even And a
- 4:36Speaker 1: lot of these people are normally articulate people, but they
- 4:39Speaker 1: come to this and they can't even express themselves. They
- 4:42Speaker 1: just spew all this crazy, hysterical hyperbole. And Nadler getting
- 4:48Speaker 1: a lot of flack for it. Hey, you know the
- 4:51Speaker 1: story of Jill Biden's ex husband. Jill Biden was married
- 4:57Speaker 1: to a guy named Bill Stevenson million years going Delaware.
- 5:00Speaker 1: They were married. I think she was. Was she the
- 5:05Speaker 1: babysitter for the Stevenson Oh no, the I don't know something.
- 5:09Speaker 1: She was a babysitter winning But anyway, married to this guy,
- 5:12Speaker 1: Bill Stevenson, seems to be a happy marriage. But Joe Biden,
- 5:16Speaker 1: a young Joe Biden is the Senator and he somehow
- 5:20Speaker 1: meets Jill Biden and he starts having an affair with
- 5:24Speaker 1: her while she's married to Bill Stevenson. So Jill Biden
- 5:28Speaker 1: starts having a married woman has an affair with the
- 5:31Speaker 1: Senator Biden, and they're carrying on for a while, and
- 5:37Speaker 1: one day Jill's husband, Bill Stevenson, finds out his car
- 5:41Speaker 1: was in an accident. The car accident got banged up,
- 5:44Speaker 1: smashed a little, and then when the police report and
- 5:48Speaker 1: everything comes out, it turns out Joe Biden, the Senator,
- 5:52Speaker 1: was driving the wife's car and that's where he started
- 5:54Speaker 1: to realize they were having an affair. So it all
- 5:57Speaker 1: comes out that she's sleeping with U. And I think
- 5:59Speaker 1: Joe was married at the time too, so she's having
- 6:03Speaker 1: an affair with him. Anyway, they end up getting divorced.
- 6:05Speaker 1: Bill Stevenson and his wife Jill. They end up getting
- 6:09Speaker 1: a divorce. It gets messy. It goes into court and
- 6:14Speaker 1: Joe Biden is dating the wife, so he gets involved,
- 6:17Speaker 1: the Senator, Joe Biden, and he tries to really screw
- 6:19Speaker 1: over Bill Stevenson in court so that Jill gets everything,
- 6:24Speaker 1: takes everything the guy has. But the judge in the
- 6:27Speaker 1: court saw right through this some shenanigans Joe Biden was
- 6:30Speaker 1: trying to pull, and he ruled in Bill Stevenson's favor
- 6:35Speaker 1: where Jill didn't get everything he had. In fact that
- 6:37Speaker 1: it ended up Jill Biden owed him money. So the
- 6:40Speaker 1: guy who was lucky, he got a very fair judge
- 6:42Speaker 1: who saw what was going on. Well, it's Joe Biden,
- 6:47Speaker 1: evil Joe Biden. So then about a month later, Joe
- 6:51Speaker 1: Biden has Bill Stevenson arrested. You know, Joe Biden was
- 6:56Speaker 1: the senator in Delaware. It's a little small states like
- 6:58Speaker 1: it's almost like a county, and Joe Biden had a
- 7:01Speaker 1: lot of cloud He ranged for this husband of Jill's
- 7:06Speaker 1: to get arrested taken to jail over absolutely nothing. He
- 7:10Speaker 1: had a couple of businesses he owned restaurants and bars,
- 7:13Speaker 1: and one of the businesses they quarterly taxed was like
- 7:18Speaker 1: a thousand dollars and they got paid two days late,
- 7:21Speaker 1: which is nothing normal. But the police show up, they
- 7:25Speaker 1: arrest Bill Stevenson, they take him to jail. This is
- 7:29Speaker 1: all Joe Biden doing lawfair. He's got a long history
- 7:33Speaker 1: of using and weaponizing lawfare against his enemies. So that's
- 7:37Speaker 1: what happened there. Stevenson. Eventually he got convicted, but he
- 7:44Speaker 1: eventually went back to work and became again as a
- 7:46Speaker 1: very successful businessman. Now, in the last year or so,
- 7:50Speaker 1: there's been talk of getting a pardon for this guy
- 7:53Speaker 1: because it was the first terrible example of lawfare from
- 7:57Speaker 1: Joe Biden falsely convicting this guy, arresting this guy. So
- 8:01Speaker 1: a lot of people have gone to President Trump and
- 8:03Speaker 1: told him the story and tried to get a pardon
- 8:06Speaker 1: for this guy, Bill Stevens, and there's been talk of
- 8:08Speaker 1: this pardon coming. Well, all of a sudden, now it
- 8:13Speaker 1: comes out that Bill Stevenson murdered his wife, his new wife,
- 8:17Speaker 1: his current wife. She was found dead. Police have arrested
- 8:20Speaker 1: Bill Stevenson. They think he murdered her in a domestic
- 8:24Speaker 1: violence kind of situation. But it's made a lot of
- 8:28Speaker 1: people suspicious. They'd still somehow see the hand of Joe
- 8:31Speaker 1: Biden in this somewhere. I had no idea. I don't know,
- 8:36Speaker 1: maybe murdered her, maybe didn't, And people that know him
- 8:38Speaker 1: can't believe it. So everybody looking carefully at this case
- 8:42Speaker 1: to see if there was any any funny business trying
- 8:45Speaker 1: to frame Bill Stevenson all this. But we'll see he's
- 8:49Speaker 1: been arrested and we'll see what happens in this case. Hey,
- 8:52Speaker 1: speaking of domestic violence, So you know, mom, Donnie has
- 8:56Speaker 1: brought back this tired, old ridiculous thing about you don't
- 9:00Speaker 1: need police to respond to everything. Why can't we have
- 9:04Speaker 1: psychologists respond? Why can't we have social workers respond? So
- 9:08Speaker 1: if there's a domestic violence situation, the husband and wife,
- 9:12Speaker 1: domestic violence, let's have a social worker respond. And of
- 9:15Speaker 1: course everybody argues that that is the most police will taps.
- 9:20Speaker 1: The most dangerous call you to respond to. Domestic violence
- 9:24Speaker 1: is usually an out of control husband with a big
- 9:26Speaker 1: butcher knife, or he's in a rage, he's like controlled.
- 9:31Speaker 1: It's a it's the one thing cops hate to respond to.
- 9:34Speaker 1: You can really get hurt in a domestic violence situation.
- 9:39Speaker 1: So Mamdani wants to send in the social workers. It's
- 9:42Speaker 1: a ridiculous idea.
- 9:43Speaker 2: That is why I proposed creating a Department of Community
- 9:46Speaker 2: Safety to build a mental health system rooted in prevention,
- 9:49Speaker 2: in sustained care, and real crisis response, so officers no
- 9:53Speaker 2: longer have to handle these situations along. As I've said,
- 9:56Speaker 2: when there is a violent situation, such as with a weapon,
- 9:59Speaker 2: NYPD will be I'm a seene.
- 10:00Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, Now, if you think it makes sense, they
- 10:02Speaker 1: have the social grist response. The answer is pretty simple.
- 10:05Speaker 1: If you talk to our great police commissioners, Ray Kelly
- 10:10Speaker 1: and the other great commissioners, they will explain to you
- 10:14Speaker 1: they have tried it. It's been tried in the past
- 10:17Speaker 1: two three times. New York City tried it. They did it,
- 10:21Speaker 1: they actually put it into effect. Now it turned out
- 10:24Speaker 1: the social workers got killed, stabbed, beaten up. It was horrible.
- 10:29Speaker 1: It doesn't work. Not to mention that after a while,
- 10:33Speaker 1: no social worker will respond. They don't want to respond
- 10:36Speaker 1: to any of these things. It's too dangerous. But New
- 10:38Speaker 1: York City has tried it. It has failed miserably and
- 10:41Speaker 1: violently every time. So it's a ridiculous idea. Police officers
- 10:48Speaker 1: will explain it to you. If you're going to send
- 10:50Speaker 1: only medical professionals there understand that it's a changing dynamic quickly.
- 10:54Speaker 1: They could pick up a weapon and charge at them.
- 10:56Speaker 1: What are they going to do then? How are they
- 10:58Speaker 1: going to defend themselves? That's why the police have to
- 11:00Speaker 1: go to these things. Now, if you want to pair
- 11:02Speaker 1: them all for the medical professional, that's fine. Yeah, now
- 11:04Speaker 1: they're trying that. So I guess that's the Mom Donnie program,
- 11:09Speaker 1: you know. But again, police have been through this a
- 11:12Speaker 1: million times. It doesn't make any sense to send the
- 11:15Speaker 1: social work here. Police get there, calm it down, and
- 11:18Speaker 1: maybe they have to take the husband in or something,
- 11:20Speaker 1: and then you send the social worker later at another time.
- 11:23Speaker 1: So this is the problem with Mom Donnie. You know,
- 11:27Speaker 1: he's never worked, he's never had a job, he's never
- 11:31Speaker 1: run anything, and he's like a college kid who just
- 11:34Speaker 1: got out of college. You know. They go to these
- 11:37Speaker 1: crazy ivy league kind of colleges where they teach them
- 11:40Speaker 1: all this flowery nonsense that never works in real life,
- 11:44Speaker 1: and they believe all this stuff and you cannot explain
- 11:47Speaker 1: to them whether it's socialism or social workers responding to
- 11:51Speaker 1: domestic finds. You can't explain to them. This has been
- 11:54Speaker 1: tried seven thousand times. It fails every single time. You
- 11:59Speaker 1: got to be so ridiculously naive to keep trying it
- 12:03Speaker 1: even though it's failed every single time. Hey, speaking of ice,
- 12:08Speaker 1: Jimmy Kimmel admits he not only goes to the anti
- 12:11Speaker 1: ice rallies, he brings his whole family with him out
- 12:15Speaker 1: there fighting law enforcement, standing up to them, trying to
- 12:19Speaker 1: stop them. You know, these guys like Jimmy kimmeler or Colbert,
- 12:25Speaker 1: they're so ridiculously partisan. They don't realize there's half the
- 12:31Speaker 1: country cannot even watch them. It's impossible. You've already gotten
- 12:34Speaker 1: rid of fifty percent of your audience before you even started.
- 12:38Speaker 1: They can't figure out they've got no ratings at all.
- 12:40Speaker 1: You know, Kimmel's got like one million viewers, Colbert maybe
- 12:43Speaker 1: he's got one point one million. They got absolutely nobody watching, nobody.
- 12:48Speaker 1: You know, Johnny Carson used to have fifteen million people.
- 12:52Speaker 1: They just can't figure this out. They end up getting fired.
- 12:57Speaker 1: Colbert is fired. He's wrapping it up in a couple
- 13:00Speaker 1: of weeks. Kimmel is basically fired. They wouldn't renew his contract.
- 13:04Speaker 1: They just gave him a one year extension, which is
- 13:06Speaker 1: unheard of. You always give a three to five year renewal.
- 13:09Speaker 1: He just got a little extension, so he's basically fired.
- 13:14Speaker 1: And take the Washington Post. You here's another example. The
- 13:16Speaker 1: Washington Post was always a little slanted to the left,
- 13:20Speaker 1: but then it went crazy trumped derangement syndrome, partisan, and
- 13:26Speaker 1: you get rid of half your audience. You can't read,
- 13:28Speaker 1: so readership is way way down. It's now owned by
- 13:32Speaker 1: Jeff Bezos. And if you got very few readers, you
- 13:36Speaker 1: got to start cutting costs. So they just announced they're
- 13:38Speaker 1: laying off three hundred people, getting rid of the sports section,
- 13:43Speaker 1: of this section, of that section. The employees are up
- 13:47Speaker 1: in arms. There's a mutiny. They're outraged. They can't believe it.
- 13:50Speaker 1: But but if you go that partisan, you're gonna lose
- 13:55Speaker 1: a lot of people. You caused your own downfall, Bezos,
- 13:58Speaker 1: What is he supposed to do if you got if
- 14:02Speaker 1: you lose eighty percent of your audience, at some point,
- 14:05Speaker 1: you got to cut eighty percent of your staff. But
- 14:07Speaker 1: they're so idealistic they can't figure it out. Hey, the
- 14:11Speaker 1: Kennedy Center, the rebuilding will begin. Now you're going to
- 14:15Speaker 1: hear fake news like the Washington Post, New York times,
- 14:18Speaker 1: they're going to try to convince you this is some
- 14:21Speaker 1: crazy idea Trump wanting to shut down the Kennedy Center
- 14:24Speaker 1: and rebuild it. What a crazy Trump idea. It's not
- 14:27Speaker 1: a Trump idea. The government has been planning this for
- 14:30Speaker 1: a long time, long before Trump got there. In fact,
- 14:34Speaker 1: the projects expected to cost about two hundred million. In fact,
- 14:37Speaker 1: it was last year ago Congress decided to this had
- 14:41Speaker 1: to be done, and they voted the money. They voted
- 14:43Speaker 1: in two hundred and fifty seven million to repair Kennedy Center.
- 14:48Speaker 1: So it has nothing to do with Trump. It was
- 14:50Speaker 1: already planned, already underway. Congress had already voted in the money.
- 14:54Speaker 1: The difference now is I guess they're going to try
- 14:56Speaker 1: to do a lot of patchwork in there, which is
- 14:59Speaker 1: the Trump is the one of the finest, best, most
- 15:02Speaker 1: knowledgeable builders in America. He personally inspected everything in there
- 15:07Speaker 1: and realized you can't do a patchwork job. You got
- 15:10Speaker 1: to rebuild the whole thing. He personally inspected it showed
- 15:13Speaker 1: pipes were crumbling, everything, the whole infrastructure is crumbling. The
- 15:18Speaker 1: elevators are ridiculously outdated. If they're decades outdated, they need
- 15:23Speaker 1: to be replaced. There at the end of their life.
- 15:25Speaker 1: These elevators the underground parking garage showed tremendous structural failure
- 15:32Speaker 1: from the concrete spiling of falling apart. So they're gonna
- 15:37Speaker 1: have to like literally gut the whole thing. They can
- 15:39Speaker 1: keep some of the steel. But remember, you got an
- 15:42Speaker 1: absolute expert in the White House at this kind of stuff.
- 15:45Speaker 1: But it was the whole plan was begun long before
- 15:49Speaker 1: Trump got there. Hey, we'll take some calls. Next eight
- 15:52Speaker 1: hundred three to two one zero seven ten is the
- 15:54Speaker 1: number eight hundred three two one zero seven ten more marmone. Hey,
- 16:05Speaker 1: let's take some calls. Let's go to Mike in Florida. Mike,
- 16:08Speaker 1: how you doing. Good morning, Mark, that's Mike.
- 16:13Speaker 3: It's Kimmel. Is really quite a putt. I don't know
- 16:16Speaker 3: if people realize this, but if you don't belong to
- 16:19Speaker 3: one of the big Hollywood unions, you can't work on
- 16:21Speaker 3: his show. It's you know, I mean, if you're illegal
- 16:25Speaker 3: in a sense, you can't work on his show. You're
- 16:27Speaker 3: not welcome to work on his show. You're not welcome
- 16:29Speaker 3: to participate in his world. Oh, I know, we know
- 16:34Speaker 3: the hypocrites, but you know, I wonder if people understand that.
- 16:38Speaker 1: Yeah, they're also it's just more like being childish. They're
- 16:41Speaker 1: just little children in there, you know. It's like they'll
- 16:43Speaker 1: talk about income inequality. Meantime, he gets fifteen million a year,
- 16:47Speaker 1: everybody else gets a dollar fifty on the show exactly.
- 16:50Speaker 4: And the other thing about Hollywood is if they don't
- 16:53Speaker 4: want to use the unions, they'll go to Australia and
- 16:55Speaker 4: hire non union people and do that so they you know,
- 17:00Speaker 4: so they don't have to pay taxes, theyn't have to
- 17:01Speaker 4: pay union fees, you know, so it's cheap of production value.
- 17:05Speaker 3: So the hypocrites on every side of the same coin.
- 17:08Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, listen, the guys, he's a child. How
- 17:10Speaker 1: many times you seen him cry on television? Now, it's
- 17:12Speaker 1: like seven times he started crying, you know.
- 17:15Speaker 3: At least it has become a regular part of this show.
- 17:18Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, he's crying on TV. The last time
- 17:21Speaker 1: anybody cried on TV before that was like once the
- 17:23Speaker 1: Kennedy assassination, Like that was it. That was the only time.
- 17:27Speaker 1: Thanks for calling. Let's go to John and the Bronx. John.
- 17:29Speaker 1: How you doing.
- 17:32Speaker 5: Good?
- 17:32Speaker 1: Good?
- 17:32Speaker 6: Mark?
- 17:34Speaker 7: Hello?
- 17:34Speaker 8: Yeah, So Mark, what do you think if Trump gets
- 17:38Speaker 8: on the air and says that every illegal alien could
- 17:40Speaker 8: stay here if they vote Republicated. How many ICE agents
- 17:44Speaker 8: do you think the Democrats will hire you?
- 17:46Speaker 1: Well? Sure, yeah, a lot of people have proposed that
- 17:49Speaker 1: that and if you vote Republican you can get an
- 17:51Speaker 1: automatic citizenship. I think that's illegal. But if you did that,
- 17:54Speaker 1: you're right, they would start. Democrats would hire their own
- 17:58Speaker 1: ice and start deporting them like crazy. Let's go to
- 18:01Speaker 1: Bill in Pennsylvania. Bill, how you doing?
- 18:04Speaker 6: Why? Mark? How are you doing? Yeah? I hate I
- 18:07Speaker 6: hate to have to admit this, but there's a limit
- 18:10Speaker 6: to what I can take. Uh. Do you know what?
- 18:13Speaker 6: Apparently the Super Bowl halftime actor is a man wearing
- 18:17Speaker 6: a ball down and pink to leto.
- 18:20Speaker 1: Yeah, bad Bunny.
- 18:22Speaker 6: Yeah you know, but as a closed horse, I objected strenuously.
- 18:28Speaker 1: Well you're not. I would think a guy like you,
- 18:30Speaker 1: as a Bad Bunny fan, I would think he's on
- 18:33Speaker 1: your playlist.
- 18:34Speaker 6: Well, I like Psycho Bunny as my shirt.
- 18:38Speaker 1: See you more with the the Lennon Sisters or something
- 18:40Speaker 1: like that. Maybe Robert don't forget Lawrence. Well there you go.
- 18:50Speaker 6: I have a band coming out this today, and uh,
- 18:53Speaker 6: do you want to know the name of my band.
- 18:56Speaker 1: Definitely not. Okay, I'm looking in the control room. Everybody's
- 19:02Speaker 1: dozing off. I don't think anybody has any interest in
- 19:04Speaker 1: the name of you. But what do you mean a band?
- 19:06Speaker 1: What kind of band?
- 19:06Speaker 6: I know, I know you picked up the control room
- 19:09Speaker 6: in front of the kmart today, you know.
- 19:12Speaker 1: But you know that's I mean makes sense you'd have
- 19:15Speaker 1: a band. You always seem to be drinking. So but
- 19:18Speaker 1: what does the band play? What kind of music?
- 19:21Speaker 6: We play a jug band. It's called the Jiggy's and
- 19:27Speaker 6: we have jiggy pop is the main sigure.
- 19:33Speaker 1: I'd want to see less than this. This sounds like the.
- 19:36Speaker 6: Most Well, all the charges have been dropped against the thing,
- 19:39Speaker 6: the three little pig solomy charges have been dropped by.
- 19:43Speaker 1: The All right again, it's the stay drinking. It's not
- 19:48Speaker 1: a good thing. You gotta gotta do something playing. Yeah,
- 19:52Speaker 1: I know, it's a happy hour already down there. Let's
- 19:55Speaker 1: go to uh Chino in Greenwich Village. You know how
- 19:58Speaker 1: you doing?
- 20:00Speaker 6: Hey, buys are good?
- 20:04Speaker 1: Where do you go? We lost him? Oh? Oh, we blave,
- 20:08Speaker 1: We blamed him, he cursed. I'm sorry about that. Let's
- 20:11Speaker 1: go to uh Jerry and Greenwich, Jerry, how you doing.
- 20:15Speaker 5: I'm doing well. Thank you, Mike, hope you're doing well.
- 20:20Speaker 5: Yesterday my wife and I we decide to go to
- 20:23Speaker 5: a movie and we went to Si Milania. Movie was great.
- 20:29Speaker 1: Yeah, everybody, I haven't seen them. Everyone seen it, loves it.
- 20:33Speaker 1: Where where did you go see it? Is it playing?
- 20:35Speaker 5: And we went to see it in Portchester?
- 20:38Speaker 1: Port Chester? That by the Costco store there right.
- 20:41Speaker 5: Yes, right next door to Coscar. Yes. And you know
- 20:45Speaker 5: another thing I would like to say. You know, I've
- 20:47Speaker 5: been wearing my trumpet for years, years and years. My dreams.
- 20:52Speaker 5: I will love to have my hat signed by Trump,
- 20:56Speaker 5: and I don't think that will ever happen.
- 20:58Speaker 1: No, you never know, you never know. Well, thanks for
- 21:00Speaker 1: calling you. Everybody. Go see the Millennium movies doing very
- 21:03Speaker 1: well at the box office and days later doing well,
- 21:06Speaker 1: which means word of mouth is very very good on
- 21:08Speaker 1: the movie. Hey, when we come back and Coulter, we'll
- 21:11Speaker 1: talk to her next on seven to ten WR.
- 21:15Speaker 7: The Mark Simone Show continues on sevent ten.
- 21:19Speaker 1: Wor Well and Culter best selling author great columnists. Make
- 21:26Speaker 1: sure you follow her on Twitter. Great stuff there and
- 21:29Speaker 1: even better at substacks. She's got videos and podcasts and interviews,
- 21:32Speaker 1: all kinds of stuff. The column just go to Andculter
- 21:36Speaker 1: dot substack dot com and culter how you doing?
- 21:41Speaker 7: Fantastic? How are you, Mark Simone?
- 21:43Speaker 1: I'm good, I'm good. So Tom Holman just announced they're
- 21:46Speaker 1: pulling seven hundred ICE agents out of Minnesota. But I
- 21:50Speaker 1: think that's because they've arrested four thousand illegals already. They're
- 21:53Speaker 1: getting the job done. Aren't you happy?
- 21:54Speaker 7: Have they gotten four thousand? That's fantastic. Yeah, the ones
- 21:59Speaker 7: that haven't been sprung by a federal district court.
- 22:02Speaker 1: Judge yet, Well, they got some of those. Actually, they
- 22:05Speaker 1: catch them when they come out of the courthouse. And
- 22:07Speaker 1: the Minnesota mayor admitting the economy has tanked in the
- 22:11Speaker 1: last few weeks because he's allowed all this rioting on
- 22:14Speaker 1: the streets.
- 22:15Speaker 7: So I think what Trump should do, perhaps this is
- 22:18Speaker 7: what they're doing, is send in basically the same force
- 22:23Speaker 7: to various other blue cities around the country, you know,
- 22:27Speaker 7: San Francisco, Chicago, I don't even know them all, Portland, Maine,
- 22:34Speaker 7: so that Antifa doesn't know where to go. Just you know,
- 22:37Speaker 7: send in like a one week force and have them
- 22:39Speaker 7: pop up, like where's wald out over the country.
- 22:43Speaker 1: Well, what about this idea of just pull out of
- 22:47Speaker 1: Minnesota and announced that the federal government agrees Minneapolis sanctuary city,
- 22:53Speaker 1: every illegal go there and just let it go all
- 22:55Speaker 1: to hell, just to show people what the.
- 23:02Speaker 7: Illegals can travel. It's a problem. I mean, I sort
- 23:08Speaker 7: of like the idea of punishing them. I'm sympathetic to that,
- 23:12Speaker 7: but we do have federal law and it does need
- 23:16Speaker 7: to be enforced. You can't just throw a tantrum and
- 23:19Speaker 7: have the federal government say, oh, okay, we won't enforce
- 23:22Speaker 7: these laws. But I do think it's a problem that
- 23:25Speaker 7: every anarchist, left wing, lunatic antifa in the country now
- 23:31Speaker 7: knows their mecca is Minneapolis. Now, so if you kept
- 23:36Speaker 7: throwing it off and keeping them in cities you know,
- 23:38Speaker 7: really fall far apart, they wouldn't have time to get there.
- 23:43Speaker 7: But I do think you have to enforce federal law. Particularly,
- 23:46Speaker 7: I mean, it would be like trying to keep COVID
- 23:48Speaker 7: to a single state. No like viruses, illegals travel.
- 23:53Speaker 1: Now, what about this theory is that because Democrats liberal,
- 23:57Speaker 1: they're crazier than ever, whack you than ever, add more
- 24:00Speaker 1: out of control than ever. What was this theory that
- 24:02Speaker 1: the rise of cannabis and the use of cannabis has
- 24:06Speaker 1: led to this.
- 24:07Speaker 7: Why I just tweeted about that. You know, I've written
- 24:10Speaker 7: quite a bit about it. I believe I was the
- 24:11Speaker 7: first to review Alex Berenson's book Tell Your Children, really
- 24:17Speaker 7: making the case proving that overwhelmingly. He was, I guess,
- 24:22Speaker 7: a longtime science reporter for the New York Times. They
- 24:24Speaker 7: were not as interested in what he had to say
- 24:27Speaker 7: about pot or COVID. In any event, Yeah, the studies
- 24:32Speaker 7: I mean in that book, the studies are overwhelming that
- 24:37Speaker 7: they all as with COVID, I might add, you know,
- 24:40Speaker 7: the Europeans got COVID right sending kids back to school
- 24:44Speaker 7: way before we did, and again our media centered that information.
- 24:48Speaker 7: I did an interview with this guy, David Zweg, who
- 24:50Speaker 7: wrote a very important book about this, and he was
- 24:53Speaker 7: a New York Times reporter. One of his articles was
- 24:56Speaker 7: the most viewed. Would not publish his article. When he
- 25:02Speaker 7: started looking, he had young kids in school and he was,
- 25:04Speaker 7: you know, upset about about how his children, all the
- 25:08Speaker 7: other children are going crazy. So he started looking at
- 25:11Speaker 7: all these European studies and what European countries were doing,
- 25:15Speaker 7: and in our times would simply refuse to print that.
- 25:19Speaker 2: Well, it's the.
- 25:19Speaker 7: Same thing with the pot studies. It's it's a big
- 25:23Speaker 7: problem pot in setting off schizophrenia, particularly in young men,
- 25:28Speaker 7: though not limited to young men. It happens in older
- 25:31Speaker 7: people too, And surprisingly enough, New York Times has a
- 25:36Speaker 7: story today saying, Canadian researchers, you know, they're ten years,
- 25:40Speaker 7: ten years late, have found the exact same thing.
- 25:43Speaker 1: Huh, And what do we do about that? This spread continues,
- 25:47Speaker 1: it's growing, it's worse, it's behaviors, it's going to get
- 25:49Speaker 1: even worse. There's no way to stop it now.
- 25:52Speaker 7: Well, you know, I've done some podcasts on this. I
- 25:54Speaker 7: keep meaning to write a full article. One thing is
- 25:58Speaker 7: these these from the left of what you're I think
- 26:03Speaker 7: they're mostly from the left what you should eat. I mean,
- 26:08Speaker 7: consider the facts that the truth about the food pyramid
- 26:11Speaker 7: is that it has been exactly upside down for what
- 26:15Speaker 7: the past twenty thirty years, and that probably does have
- 26:19Speaker 7: a lot to do with how Americans have gotten so fat.
- 26:23Speaker 7: Telling people to avoid to avoid fats and consume a
- 26:28Speaker 7: lot more carbohydrates, No, no, you're supposed to avoid carbs
- 26:33Speaker 7: and fats are just fine for you. The Atkins diet.
- 26:36Speaker 7: I don't particularly practice it, but that is the ideal diet.
- 26:41Speaker 7: And similarly, I'm sorry, I'm going a long way to
- 26:44Speaker 7: get back to pot. Similarly, this thing about how alcohol
- 26:49Speaker 7: is so bad for you, I mean, you can check
- 26:51Speaker 7: with our very very smart doctor friends in New York.
- 26:54Speaker 7: They have a misleading way of stating it, so it
- 26:58Speaker 7: would be something like, you know, drinking any amount of
- 27:01Speaker 7: alcohol will increase this, that and the other cancer increases
- 27:06Speaker 7: it by like twenty percent. But what they mean is
- 27:09Speaker 7: it increases the odds of twenty percent, which actually ends
- 27:13Speaker 7: up being something like a fraction of one percent. And
- 27:18Speaker 7: if you're going to tell kids no alcohol, no alcohol,
- 27:20Speaker 7: no alcohol, they're going to start smoking a lot more pop,
- 27:23Speaker 7: which is obviously much much much worse for them and
- 27:27Speaker 7: makes them stupid. And we don't need a stupid populace.
- 27:30Speaker 7: I mean, the entire all of Western civilization was built
- 27:33Speaker 7: on coffee, cigarettes, and alcohol. Unless you're an alcoholic, and
- 27:38Speaker 7: only about ten percent of people who drink become alcoholics.
- 27:42Speaker 7: Alcohol really isn't bad for you. It's the social lubricants.
- 27:47Speaker 7: And it was Biden's Attorney General that Indian guy who
- 27:50Speaker 7: wanted warning labels on alcohol. And meanwhile, you know with
- 27:55Speaker 7: one hand, they're doing that with the other hand, and
- 27:58Speaker 7: let's legalize pot. Oh, it's just medicinal, which is a
- 28:03Speaker 7: nonsense ruse. But yeah, I think I think the unjustified
- 28:08Speaker 7: attack on alcohol has a lot to do with the
- 28:12Speaker 7: massive increase in pot consumption, and also when states start
- 28:16Speaker 7: legalizing it, even under the rules of it being medicinal
- 28:20Speaker 7: or legalizing it for recreational use, that does send a
- 28:24Speaker 7: message to young kids that it's fine, Oh, it can
- 28:30Speaker 7: be medicine. It's natural. Yeah, arsenic is natural.
- 28:34Speaker 1: So you should be pointed out this is not nineteen
- 28:36Speaker 1: sixties woodstock hippie pot. This is a much, much, much
- 28:41Speaker 1: stronger form that we have nowadays, much much worse.
- 28:45Speaker 7: So yes, yes, stunningly so. Yes, that's an important point.
- 28:49Speaker 7: Absolutely right. Hey, I really liked your tweets on Don Lemon.
- 28:55Speaker 1: Oh don't you feel bad for our buddy Don Lemon.
- 29:01Speaker 7: He's ridiculous. It is so obvious that he wrote the
- 29:04Speaker 7: law here. The defense of him is preposterous. He was
- 29:07Speaker 7: not acting as I did. I mentioned him in my
- 29:11Speaker 7: five Stories podcast this weekend. I do the stories of
- 29:15Speaker 7: the week Uh. I just loved the idea that he's
- 29:19Speaker 7: this newsman. He's got he's got such a nose for news.
- 29:22Speaker 7: He just thought, well, if I hang around this church
- 29:25Speaker 7: with my with my camera, maybe something won't happen. No,
- 29:28Speaker 7: he was involved with the activists from the beginning. He's
- 29:31Speaker 7: talking about we're going in the videos, which I highly
- 29:35Speaker 7: recommend people watch. You got to play some clips from it.
- 29:38Speaker 7: I did it, and I played some clips on my podcast.
- 29:40Speaker 7: For one thing, they're all chanting, they really take over
- 29:42Speaker 7: the church in an ugly, ugly, really violent way. I mean,
- 29:48Speaker 7: imagine doing that in an abortion clinic, which is the
- 29:51Speaker 7: other part of this law.
- 29:53Speaker 3: Uh.
- 29:54Speaker 7: And I feel so sorry for There's some old people
- 29:56Speaker 7: standing there and they just look terrified. All the families
- 29:59Speaker 7: with their kids leaving, they're heckling the kids. One of
- 30:02Speaker 7: the great things the protesters are yelling, yes they are
- 30:06Speaker 7: hands up, don't shoot.
- 30:08Speaker 1: Oh.
- 30:09Speaker 7: The most famously disproved claim by a criminal conspirator of
- 30:16Speaker 7: Michael Brown's, who by the way, when he was all
- 30:18Speaker 7: Doring and Johnson, I remember him, he was my safe.
- 30:21Speaker 7: He was all over TV after that. That was the
- 30:24Speaker 7: Ferguson incident with Big Mike Brown. The gentle giant, and
- 30:27Speaker 7: he was the one who invented the claim of Brown
- 30:30Speaker 7: getting on his knees putting up his hands up, don't shoot.
- 30:33Speaker 7: At that time, he was facing trial for perjury. Yeah,
- 30:39Speaker 7: and he's the media's.
- 30:41Speaker 1: Go to guy, hands up, don't you turned out to
- 30:44Speaker 1: be totally false.
- 30:45Speaker 7: Never happened, so, as proved by both the Attorney General
- 30:49Speaker 7: of Missouri and the Obama Justice Department. They had the
- 30:54Speaker 7: forensics on how the bullet went in, et cetera, et cetera,
- 30:56Speaker 7: and actually a lot of the witnesses, witnesses that were
- 30:59Speaker 7: good enough for Lawrence O'Donnell on MSNBC. When they got
- 31:02Speaker 7: before the grand jury, they admitted they were lying.
- 31:05Speaker 1: Yes, But the problem is this could revive Don Lemon's career.
- 31:08Speaker 1: He might actually even get a job out of this.
- 31:12Speaker 7: I don't think so. You see my defense form on Twitter.
- 31:16Speaker 7: I said he should say, I'm a DEI higher, I'm
- 31:20Speaker 7: not that intelligent. I had no.
- 31:22Speaker 3: Idea what the law is. How can the jury reject that?
- 31:28Speaker 1: I like that. That's actually pretty good. But you're right, guy,
- 31:32Speaker 1: he's a newsman who's never broken a single story in
- 31:34Speaker 1: his entire life. He's basically a talk show host anchorman.
- 31:38Speaker 1: He looked good on TV. That's about it.
- 31:40Speaker 7: But he was behaving as an activist. I mean he's talking,
- 31:43Speaker 7: they're harassing. The pastor was surprisingly lovely and calm and
- 31:48Speaker 7: talking to these activist lunatics. And Lemon is harassing the
- 31:54Speaker 7: pastor at some point that's just talking to him. And
- 31:57Speaker 7: he touches Lemon's arm, and Lemon does the actives thing.
- 32:00Speaker 7: Don't touch me.
- 32:03Speaker 1: Well, he's a journalist. He's working. He's busy so well.
- 32:07Speaker 1: And Culter great stuff. Everybody follow and culture on Twitter.
- 32:10Speaker 1: But better than that. Even is there Substack. Make sure
- 32:13Speaker 1: you subscribe and you can watch your podcast and get

- 33:04Speaker 1: Simone Show on wor Well, it's been what's today? It's
- 33:12Speaker 1: only Wednesday? Why does this seem like the longest week ever?
- 33:14Speaker 1: I think it's it gets to you mentally, the snow,
- 33:19Speaker 1: the cold, the garbage piled up everywhere, days and days
- 33:24Speaker 1: of this bitter cold. It will be a little better today.
- 33:26Speaker 1: Yesterday was thirty five, Today will be thirty five. But
- 33:28Speaker 1: it starts to get to you. It's like you're in
- 33:31Speaker 1: a gulag with all this snow all over the place.
- 33:34Speaker 1: There's something depressing about it, but you gotta fight that off.
- 33:38Speaker 1: In a long week. It's going to be cold the
- 33:42Speaker 1: rest of the week, but the weekend it goes crazy again,
- 33:46Speaker 1: gets down to like in the teens. The I will
- 33:48Speaker 1: only be like seventeen degrees Saturday and Sunday. Sunday is
- 33:52Speaker 1: a super Bowl day, so you'll be inside watching that.
- 33:56Speaker 1: Super Bowl is Sunday night. Do we care who wins?
- 34:01Speaker 1: I don't know. Patriots, Seahawks, Seahawks.
- 34:04Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 34:04Speaker 1: I don't know who cares about the Seahawks. I guess
- 34:07Speaker 1: I want the Patriots to win. But it's this Sunday night.
- 34:11Speaker 1: The festivity started last night in California. Last night was
- 34:15Speaker 1: Tuesday night. It was like opening night parties. This is
- 34:18Speaker 1: what they do. In fact that you know, there's a
- 34:20Speaker 1: lot of people that go there just for the four
- 34:22Speaker 1: nights of the parties and then they leave, don't even
- 34:24Speaker 1: bother to watch the game. Parties are more fun than
- 34:26Speaker 1: the game. So we're out of time. I'll be back tomorrow.
- 34:29Speaker 1: I'm here every day ten to noon, or you can
- 34:32Speaker 1: listen anytime. Just get the podcast. Any place you get podcasts,

- 34:41Speaker 1: you remember on the weekends there's a bonus segment. There's
- 34:43Speaker 1: like an extra show there that you can listen to.
- 34:46Speaker 1: Don't go away, Buck and Clay, just ahead right after
- 34:48Speaker 1: the news. Thanks for everything. I'll see you tomorrow on
- 34:51Speaker 1: seven to ten. Wo
