- 0:00Speaker 1: Tampa Bay's best music is jazz nine.
- 0:04Speaker 2: Welcome back to another episode of Scotty and Abby Unfiltered.
- 0:08Speaker 2: First off, yes, we understand there has to be an
- 0:11Speaker 2: update about this text because if you listen to the
- 0:13Speaker 2: last podcast, Abby, I'm gonna be honest. You put me
- 0:16Speaker 2: in my you put me out of my comfort zone.
- 0:18Speaker 2: I give you a lot of kudos to that because
- 0:20Speaker 2: I usually do that to other people. But yesterday on
- 0:22Speaker 2: the podcast, you made sure that I did something I
- 0:24Speaker 2: was kind of scared to do.
- 0:25Speaker 1: Well personally, I just wanted to be a part of it. Wow.
- 0:28Speaker 3: It wasn't for the personal growth side of me.
- 0:30Speaker 1: No, I don't care about that. I'm just nosy.
- 0:33Speaker 2: Well, to catch you up, you should go back and
- 0:35Speaker 2: listen if you didn't hear that episode. But a good episode.
- 0:37Speaker 2: It was a good episode, and there was somebody else
- 0:39Speaker 2: talking to that. You know, we know we we're probably
- 0:42Speaker 2: not gonna date, we're not gonna be serious, but we're
- 0:44Speaker 2: hanging out casually. And it felt like I was kind
- 0:46Speaker 2: of leading her on, like the door was open. You
- 0:48Speaker 2: were lady, Okay, I was, and I.
- 0:51Speaker 1: Was always alway because you were No. Well, I told.
- 0:53Speaker 3: Her, and this is again I will be honest.
- 0:55Speaker 2: I think this is what's so powerful by these conversations
- 0:57Speaker 2: is I try to be as open and honest of
- 0:59Speaker 2: where I am i'm currently and I share them with
- 1:02Speaker 2: you because hopefully, as I learned and I grow, you
- 1:04Speaker 2: hear that happening. And as I'm in this new chapter
- 1:07Speaker 2: of dating, I'm trying to be honest about where I'm at.
- 1:10Speaker 2: So I tell people, hey, I think you're awesome, but
- 1:12Speaker 2: I'm also not looking for anything serious. Yeah, so to
- 1:14Speaker 2: make sure that they know, like, oh, this is not
- 1:16Speaker 2: like a serious dating situation. We're casually hanging out. That's
- 1:19Speaker 2: what I was doing with this girl. And then we
- 1:23Speaker 2: had a theory that she listened to the podcast heard
- 1:25Speaker 2: that I actually went on a date with another girl
- 1:27Speaker 2: who I really connected with, who I really thought was
- 1:29Speaker 2: a spark. And so when I asked the girlfriend number
- 1:33Speaker 2: one out, we called her, she gave me and.
- 1:35Speaker 1: Then she got demoted to girlfriend number two, and then
- 1:37Speaker 1: I was like, wait, she's not even your girlfriend.
- 1:39Speaker 2: Yeah, well then she just gave me a thumbs up
- 1:40Speaker 2: message to like my hangout idea.
- 1:42Speaker 3: Yeah, so I came up with this whole thing. I
- 1:43Speaker 3: was like, well, she's probably pissed.
- 1:45Speaker 1: And she's probably should be valid.
- 1:48Speaker 2: I just what we talked about yesterday was I just
- 1:51Speaker 2: want to be more upfront. If I say something that
- 1:54Speaker 2: pisses you off or that upsets you, like we could
- 1:56Speaker 2: talk about it, like, let me apologize, let me at
- 1:58Speaker 2: least make sure that we respect each other. And that
- 2:02Speaker 2: because it was still an open door. If you just
- 2:04Speaker 2: thumbs up my message, you literally could have been coming
- 2:06Speaker 2: over to hang out and I wouldn't know because that
- 2:09Speaker 2: could either be taken as a sarcastic f you thumbs
- 2:12Speaker 2: up or cool, soe you soon. So yesterday on the podcast,
- 2:17Speaker 2: I said, you gotta break it off.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Yeah, Well, the thing about casual dating is I think
- 2:22Speaker 1: when your feelings are so strong for one person that
- 2:26Speaker 1: you're dating and there's not that feeling for another person,
- 2:31Speaker 1: I don't think it's fair to that person that you
- 2:32Speaker 1: don't have as strong feelings for, because every time you
- 2:35Speaker 1: go out with that person, you're just gonna think, oh
- 2:36Speaker 1: my god, I wish I was with blah blah blah
- 2:37Speaker 1: blah blah girl friend number one, and I just think
- 2:41Speaker 1: it wasn't fair to her. And I felt very strongly
- 2:43Speaker 1: that we needed to break things off. Yeah, we needed
- 2:46Speaker 1: to on the podcast.
- 2:47Speaker 2: Yes, well, we've been talking about it so much. And
- 2:49Speaker 2: also I do understand that every time we hang out
- 2:52Speaker 2: that is a little bit of like a oh, I
- 2:53Speaker 2: think there's hope or their attraction grows bigger, we start
- 2:57Speaker 2: to grow more feelings. But I also know that it
- 2:59Speaker 2: takes me a while to get there, so that would
- 3:01Speaker 2: be kind of fucked up to just let somebody think like, oh,
- 3:03Speaker 2: maybe he's actually gonna get feelings, and I'm over here like, well,
- 3:06Speaker 2: I don't think that's actually gonna happen because I'm not
- 3:08Speaker 2: in that chapter of my life. But yesterday I sent
- 3:11Speaker 2: the text and I'll read it back, so we could
- 3:13Speaker 2: just do a quick little review of the text and
- 3:16Speaker 2: I will say I did get a reply yesterday, dah,
- 3:19Speaker 2: I did, Okay.
- 3:20Speaker 1: So side note, I feel very strongly that if you
- 3:23Speaker 1: haven't listened to the episode that comes before this episode,
- 3:26Speaker 1: listen to that. I feel like you need to hear
- 3:27Speaker 1: the entire texting tutor that I walked Scotti through.
- 3:30Speaker 2: It was super powerful, and honestly, after I sent it,
- 3:33Speaker 2: I felt super good within because it felt like I
- 3:36Speaker 2: was doing the right thing.
- 3:37Speaker 1: I felt very good about what you sent to her.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Do you want to re reaffirm what you said. Do
- 3:41Speaker 1: you want to read?
- 3:42Speaker 2: Here was the message that I said. I said, Hey,
- 3:45Speaker 2: I've been thinking about it, and I know you want
- 3:46Speaker 2: something serious, and it feels wrong to me to do
- 3:49Speaker 2: these relationship types things when I know I'm not ready
- 3:52Speaker 2: for that. I know these types of messages sound like BS.
- 3:55Speaker 2: But I did truly, I did, truly hadn't. Oh God,
- 3:59Speaker 2: I spelled wrong, damn it. I didn't truly have an
- 4:01Speaker 2: amazing time getting to know you and our hangouts.
- 4:04Speaker 3: It is embarrassing. I do that a lot that my
- 4:05Speaker 3: friends know.
- 4:06Speaker 2: I also said, I also realized that we are only
- 4:08Speaker 2: signing ourselves up for a harder current conversation down the
- 4:12Speaker 2: line if we.
- 4:13Speaker 3: Keep this up.
- 4:13Speaker 1: Okay, and I really liked what we crafted because I
- 4:16Speaker 1: felt like it was honest. It wasn't doing the BS.
- 4:20Speaker 1: I just respect you so much. I don't only you
- 4:22Speaker 1: don't want to what you were saying your true feelings
- 4:24Speaker 1: was I really do like hanging out with you.
- 4:26Speaker 3: Correct, that's true.
- 4:27Speaker 1: But if we're being honest, we're going to do this
- 4:29Speaker 1: for three months and then we're gonna have to have
- 4:31Speaker 1: this conversation in three months. So I feel like, it's
- 4:33Speaker 1: just best if we just go our separate ways now
- 4:36Speaker 1: before things get messy and complicated, and then you do
- 4:38Speaker 1: become an asshole because you quote unquote letter on.
- 4:40Speaker 2: Correct And that's what I don't want to be. I
- 4:42Speaker 2: don't want somebody again. That would suck, and I can't
- 4:45Speaker 2: always make sure that someone sees me in a good light.
- 4:48Speaker 2: But I hate when I feel like I'm doing the
- 4:51Speaker 2: right thing but it's still get misinterpreted and then I
- 4:54Speaker 2: look like an asshole, like eventually I will to somebody.
- 4:56Speaker 1: That's one of the hardest lessons I feel like you
- 4:58Speaker 1: have to learn as an adult is there are going
- 5:01Speaker 1: to be instances were no matter what, you are going
- 5:04Speaker 1: to be misunderstood. But it doesn't mean what you're doing
- 5:07Speaker 1: is the wrong thing. But it still sucks for people
- 5:11Speaker 1: to make you to be a villain in their head
- 5:13Speaker 1: because it's a coping mechanism. But that's just it's just
- 5:16Speaker 1: what it is.
- 5:16Speaker 2: Well, I mean, your reputation. You work so hard to
- 5:19Speaker 2: do so much, and that's why I was talking to Abby.
- 5:21Speaker 2: I was like, we do such a weird thing. It's
- 5:23Speaker 2: like when we get on this podcast, I mean, my
- 5:24Speaker 2: whole goal is to just let you into muscle.
- 5:26Speaker 3: I don't mind.
- 5:27Speaker 2: I like you to be along the journey because I
- 5:28Speaker 2: don't I feel like we're all in very similar places,
- 5:33Speaker 2: just at different times. So like, maybe this is a
- 5:35Speaker 2: situation that you've been in. You're like, man, I already
- 5:37Speaker 2: know what Scott signed himself up for, or you're listening like, man,
- 5:40Speaker 2: this is so helpful because I know eventually I'm going
- 5:42Speaker 2: to be in that situation. This is going to help
- 5:44Speaker 2: me navigate through it. That's fine, I sign myself up
- 5:46Speaker 2: for that. So all that to say, it took a while,
- 5:50Speaker 2: but I did get a reply back to that message.
- 5:52Speaker 1: How long did it take her to respond? Because we
- 5:55Speaker 1: sent that at what nine point thirty am yesterday? Yeah,
- 5:57Speaker 1: we sent it early morning and it only took two hours.
- 6:00Speaker 1: So she responded around eleven thirty. When you heard the ding,
- 6:04Speaker 1: How did you feel immediately? I got anxious? Okay, so
- 6:10Speaker 1: you got anxious because.
- 6:10Speaker 2: This could have been a moment where it could go
- 6:12Speaker 2: in so many different directions. It could be a thumbs
- 6:15Speaker 2: up message. It could be just simply liking it and
- 6:18Speaker 2: leaving to meer on red. It could be bleep you
- 6:22Speaker 2: you suck, I hate you, and I hope that you
- 6:24Speaker 2: know your tires all pop at the same time. And
- 6:27Speaker 2: so I was like, what am I about to sign
- 6:28Speaker 2: up for? Because up until this point, all of our
- 6:29Speaker 2: conversations are so friendly. She's such a warm and peaceful person.
- 6:33Speaker 2: It would be very out of character for her to
- 6:35Speaker 2: come attack me. Yeah, but I was also expected. I
- 6:37Speaker 2: was like, all right, I understand I sent a text
- 6:40Speaker 2: message that kind of sounds like a breakup. Yeah, not
- 6:42Speaker 2: everyone likes seeing that. So I could tell you the reply,
- 6:50Speaker 2: but I could also wait, do we want.
- 6:52Speaker 3: To do it now?
- 6:53Speaker 1: Why would we wait?
- 6:54Speaker 3: We have other things to talk about.
- 6:55Speaker 1: Well, okay, well let's get this is what the people
- 6:57Speaker 1: are here poor Unfortunately, Okay, I'm not ready yet. So
- 7:00Speaker 1: you immediately feel anxious.
- 7:01Speaker 3: This is good for last conversation. I learned a lot
- 7:03Speaker 3: about the build up.
- 7:04Speaker 1: Are you I'm teaching them ladies? Oh my god. Anyway,
- 7:09Speaker 1: so you get the text, you immediately feel anxious. Are
- 7:13Speaker 1: you the type of person that's like, I'm going to
- 7:14Speaker 1: wait hours to read this, or I'm going to open
- 7:17Speaker 1: this immediately.
- 7:18Speaker 2: Well I used to be someone that would open it
- 7:20Speaker 2: immediately just to get it out of my system, to
- 7:22Speaker 2: see what was happening now. I only don't do that
- 7:24Speaker 2: because I don't want to forget that I got to
- 7:26Speaker 2: reply and then just never reply. So I leave it
- 7:28Speaker 2: usually unread for a while, So you until I'm ready
- 7:31Speaker 2: to reply, or in a space.
- 7:33Speaker 1: When were you ready to open up and respond?
- 7:36Speaker 2: I think I waited at least okay, so I waited
- 7:39Speaker 2: another twenty minutes.
- 7:41Speaker 1: Only twenty minutes, Well, yeah, I mean I'd be waiting
- 7:43Speaker 1: for hours.
- 7:44Speaker 3: It was okay.
- 7:45Speaker 2: I knew that if I didn't do it, that I
- 7:46Speaker 2: would literally forget. I am so gosh, and maybe this
- 7:50Speaker 2: is just a message anybody that messages me now right now,
- 7:53Speaker 2: I am so bad about replying. I haven't always been
- 7:55Speaker 2: like that, but just there's a lot of things happening
- 7:57Speaker 2: in my life that I will just forget. I'm one
- 8:00Speaker 2: hundred messages deep, and I know that drives people crazy,
- 8:03Speaker 2: But right now on read, I have fifty two messages
- 8:05Speaker 2: on read that used to drive me insane. Now that's
- 8:08Speaker 2: just the normal day to day occurrence. Because I'm like, well,
- 8:10Speaker 2: I don't have the capacity to reply, so I wanted
- 8:13Speaker 2: to at least allow myself twenty minutes. I got myself
- 8:16Speaker 2: gathered in my house I made sure I had time
- 8:19Speaker 2: just in case this was a message.
- 8:20Speaker 3: I was like, f you, I'm coming to the radio station.
- 8:22Speaker 3: I'm ruining your name.
- 8:23Speaker 2: Guess what your pictures all over Saint Pete. You're now banished.
- 8:27Speaker 1: I love how you think that what you did is
- 8:30Speaker 1: worthy of getting blacklisted across No St. Pete.
- 8:34Speaker 2: That's true, I mean, but you just never know. And
- 8:36Speaker 2: I don't want to be that guy that's like being
- 8:38Speaker 2: sent around group chats of like stay away from Scott.
- 8:41Speaker 3: He sucks.
- 8:42Speaker 1: No, because I don't think you crossed that line. I
- 8:43Speaker 1: don't think I did either. I think you're doing. You
- 8:45Speaker 1: had a couple of dates. You guys just had like
- 8:47Speaker 1: one makeout. You're fine. So you open it up twenty
- 8:50Speaker 1: minutes later, let's get into it. Okay, Well, okay, after
- 8:53Speaker 1: you read it before we get into the Okay, no,
- 8:56Speaker 1: just read it. I don't want to we're dragging it
- 8:57Speaker 1: out too much. Now just read it. So is it
- 9:02Speaker 1: a big paragraph or is it small?
- 9:03Speaker 3: Little paragraph? Okay, small?
- 9:05Speaker 1: Okay?
- 9:06Speaker 2: Nothing. I open up and immediately I see that she's
- 9:11Speaker 2: the peaceful person that I've always thought she was. She says, understandable,
- 9:16Speaker 2: I'm comfortable being friends and Honestly, if you don't want that,
- 9:21Speaker 2: you don't want to mess with that.
- 9:22Speaker 3: I completely get that.
- 9:23Speaker 1: Oh my god, she's so nice, so nice. He believe
- 9:25Speaker 1: we talked about her on the podcast for like four days.
- 9:27Speaker 1: I know why. She's the night She's mother Teresa.
- 9:30Speaker 2: Immediately I was like, oh wow, that was nothing. I
- 9:33Speaker 2: was ready to like go to war, like all right,
- 9:35Speaker 2: here we go, gotta defend myself. No, understandable. We could
- 9:39Speaker 2: still be friends if you're cool with that. If not
- 9:41Speaker 2: completely okay, Well She's like, oh my god, I would
- 9:45Speaker 2: I would love that. Yeah, I think that could work.
- 9:47Speaker 1: She has like four other boyfriends. She's like, I'm just
- 9:49Speaker 1: gonna demote you on the roster now.
- 9:51Speaker 3: Honestly though, that would make me feel so much more comfortable.
- 9:53Speaker 1: No, I know, but she women have great intuition that
- 9:55Speaker 1: I think she probably was like, this isn't my guy,
- 9:58Speaker 1: So him breaking things off not a big deal.
- 10:00Speaker 2: And again, it's not a surprise, Like literally every other
- 10:03Speaker 2: time we've hung out, it's been a reset of like, Hey, also,
- 10:05Speaker 2: I know we're hanging out. I know we're kind of
- 10:08Speaker 2: like we're cuddled up on a date. I'm not looking
- 10:11Speaker 2: for anything serious. I know you are like just making
- 10:13Speaker 2: sure we're still in the line. And she knew that immediately.
- 10:15Speaker 2: So that's why I wasn't that surprising that that was
- 10:17Speaker 2: the message I got. Yeah, I was happy to see
- 10:19Speaker 2: that was a reply because now it's like, Okay, I
- 10:21Speaker 2: think she has a friend that I have a friend
- 10:22Speaker 2: who's interested in, and so they could still have a connection.
- 10:25Speaker 1: Wait, hang on, that's too much mouth for me.
- 10:27Speaker 3: Okay, she has a friend that my friend's interested in that.
- 10:30Speaker 1: Your friend is interested in. Yes, do I know this friend? Yeah?
- 10:34Speaker 1: Can you mouth he real quick? I mean, is it
- 10:37Speaker 1: who I think it is? Yes?
- 10:38Speaker 3: Of course?
- 10:39Speaker 1: Yeah? Oh interesting.
- 10:41Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 10:41Speaker 2: And so you know, they were upset with me because
- 10:43Speaker 2: they thought I was just going to ruin things for
- 10:45Speaker 2: them too, And I was like, oh, is that because.
- 10:47Speaker 1: This friend met them at the speedating event as well.
- 10:50Speaker 2: It was another hangout that we all had. We went
- 10:52Speaker 2: out to the spot and her friend got to meet
- 10:54Speaker 2: my friend and they had a casual chemistry. I'm not
- 10:57Speaker 2: going to say it's fireworks, but I think they're both single,
- 11:01Speaker 2: they're both attractive.
- 11:02Speaker 3: There's an opportunity.
- 11:03Speaker 1: Do you think the girl's interested?
- 11:05Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 11:06Speaker 2: I didn't even talk to her when we all hung out. Okay,
- 11:08Speaker 2: So I don't have a vibe on has.
- 11:10Speaker 1: He made a move? He has?
- 11:12Speaker 2: I think they have something lined up, Okay, all right,
- 11:15Speaker 2: So there could be something there that was on you know,
- 11:19Speaker 2: the plank per se, that was about the walk right
- 11:22Speaker 2: off if I ruined this, yeah, because of course, why
- 11:24Speaker 2: would your friend want to hang out with my friend
- 11:26Speaker 2: if I already ruined.
- 11:27Speaker 3: It with them?
- 11:27Speaker 1: Then I think this is a good scenario. You bowed
- 11:30Speaker 1: out gracefully. Yes, you bowed out gracefully before things could
- 11:33Speaker 1: get too intense. So I think you did the right thing.
- 11:35Speaker 2: Yeah, And I think now it's like, if you hang out,
- 11:37Speaker 2: it's literally just being a friend in a friend group.
- 11:39Speaker 3: You could have friends. That happens all the time.
- 11:41Speaker 2: I'm literally still friends with my ex, so like you
- 11:43Speaker 2: could be friends and that could be a nice easy
- 11:46Speaker 2: line at least.
- 11:47Speaker 3: That's however I am now. Okay, it wasn't always like
- 11:49Speaker 3: that for me.
- 11:50Speaker 1: I hope it works out for your friend and her friend.
- 11:51Speaker 1: I do too, And I hope they make beautiful friend love.
- 11:54Speaker 1: Oh my god, friend love friend love.
- 11:56Speaker 2: Well. I don't even know that entails, but me too, Yeah,
- 11:58Speaker 2: I hope it does too, well.
- 12:00Speaker 1: King of interesting situations. I didn't realize I ran into
- 12:03Speaker 1: a local celebrity on Bayshore.
- 12:05Speaker 3: This is so funny.
- 12:06Speaker 2: I had a feeling when you told me about this,
- 12:08Speaker 2: like there's only one m effort that I know that
- 12:11Speaker 2: would be doing this down on Bayshore in Tampa.
- 12:13Speaker 1: So you know, when you're out walking for a while,
- 12:15Speaker 1: or when you're out exercising, you're kind of out of it,
- 12:18Speaker 1: kind of get like that runners high or whatever. So
- 12:19Speaker 1: I was out on Bay Shore, and if you're not
- 12:21Speaker 1: familiar with Tampa, Bay Shore is the promenade of downtown Tampa.
- 12:26Speaker 1: People love to go on walks. It's lots of hot
- 12:28Speaker 1: girl walks, guys running, shirtlests, families strolling because it's this
- 12:32Speaker 1: beautiful walk all along the bay, very very pretty. It's
- 12:35Speaker 1: where everyone goes. And so I was going on a
- 12:38Speaker 1: walk out there about a week ago. And when something
- 12:41Speaker 1: is so outlandish that it just couldn't possibly be real,
- 12:46Speaker 1: you think there's no way that I actually saw that.
- 12:49Speaker 1: Like I think maybe I misinterpreted that or saw something
- 12:52Speaker 1: I didn't actually see what I thought that I saw.
- 12:53Speaker 1: So I'm out for my walk and I see this
- 12:54Speaker 1: guy running towards me, and.
- 12:56Speaker 3: I immediately pepper spray in hand.
- 12:59Speaker 1: Yeah, as any woman feels when you see a man
- 13:02Speaker 1: running towards her, you go. But that's you know, it's
- 13:04Speaker 1: a two way street. So I'm walking this way. The
- 13:06Speaker 1: guy is running in the opposite direction on the other
- 13:08Speaker 1: side of the sidewalk, and I noticed he's running barefoot.
- 13:14Speaker 3: Yes, he is.
- 13:15Speaker 1: And I'm like, well, this is typical Florida.
- 13:17Speaker 2: Well kind of. It takes a very special kind of
- 13:21Speaker 2: Tampa man.
- 13:21Speaker 1: But after I left my walk because I saw him
- 13:24Speaker 1: running towards me, and then I was like, did he
- 13:25Speaker 1: get embarrassed? Because it looked like he saw me and
- 13:27Speaker 1: then stopped running. So I was like did he What
- 13:30Speaker 1: was he like, Oh, girl, I can't can't run now barefoot?
- 13:32Speaker 1: They got cool, like I meant to do this for his.
- 13:34Speaker 2: Feet are on freaking fire because he's running barefoot on
- 13:36Speaker 2: a sidewalk.
- 13:37Speaker 1: Yeah, I know, but I but but I walked past him,
- 13:39Speaker 1: and I thought, surely I didn't just see a man
- 13:41Speaker 1: running on Bay Shore without shoes. So I come in
- 13:45Speaker 1: the next day and I tell Scotty, I saw the
- 13:47Speaker 1: weirdest thing on Bay Shore yesterday. I'm pretty sure I
- 13:50Speaker 1: saw a man running without shoes, but I'm not. I'm
- 13:53Speaker 1: not one hundred percent sure. And he goes, oh my god,
- 13:55Speaker 1: that's Tampa Terrence, and I'm like, that's Tampa Terrence. Tampa
- 13:59Speaker 1: Terrence is an influencer that I've heard mentioned, but I
- 14:02Speaker 1: don't follow him, now, are you? But I didn't follow him,
- 14:05Speaker 1: and I've never really seen his stuff. He's just someone
- 14:07Speaker 1: that's that's whispered like a legend, like Tampatarians.
- 14:10Speaker 3: That's so funny. He's the Tampa legend.
- 14:12Speaker 1: Wow. And he's like this young kid, I mean a
- 14:14Speaker 1: young kid. He's all right, he's like twenty something.
- 14:16Speaker 2: Well, he's younger than us, I believe. I think he's
- 14:18Speaker 2: in his younger twenties. I think he might have just graduated.
- 14:20Speaker 2: I know his whole thing from Instagram. Yeah, I think
- 14:22Speaker 2: he just graduated from like ut. But he made a
- 14:25Speaker 2: name for himself in this area because he's just willing
- 14:28Speaker 2: to do the most daring shit.
- 14:30Speaker 3: Like he has swam in.
- 14:31Speaker 2: The Hillsboro River, he has run down Bays Shore of course,
- 14:35Speaker 2: with his shoes off. He's gone out in the middle
- 14:37Speaker 2: of the hurricane to like report on it. He just
- 14:39Speaker 2: doesn't give a damn and he'll.
- 14:40Speaker 3: Just show up. You'll see him at any random bar
- 14:42Speaker 3: on a local Like.
- 14:43Speaker 2: I think I saw a story yesterday he was watching
- 14:45Speaker 2: Rick Ross at a random Tampa bar on a Monday night,
- 14:49Speaker 2: and I'm like.
- 14:50Speaker 1: What are you?
- 14:51Speaker 2: One, what do you do for work? Because I don't
- 14:53Speaker 2: know where that schedule even fits.
- 14:55Speaker 1: But two, I think that is his job. His job
- 14:57Speaker 1: is Tampatarians.
- 14:57Speaker 2: Apparently, so I don't know how much money can be
- 14:59Speaker 2: made makeing from it, but he has a lot of
- 15:01Speaker 2: followers because he's made such a name from just doing
- 15:03Speaker 2: weird chit.
- 15:04Speaker 1: Let me see, Well, it's a good brand, Tampa Terrence.
- 15:06Speaker 3: Oh yeah, he's nailed it.
- 15:07Speaker 2: And that's why literally we're talking about it, because it's
- 15:09Speaker 2: like he's made such a name for himself that when
- 15:12Speaker 2: you see him, you now know. And he's really easy
- 15:15Speaker 2: to know because he's usually doing something pretty weird, which
- 15:18Speaker 2: you know.
- 15:19Speaker 1: What if that gets your name, I don't follow him.
- 15:21Speaker 3: I respect it. Oh you don't know, I do? You
- 15:23Speaker 3: better follow Tampa Terran.
- 15:24Speaker 1: So he has eighty seven thousand followers.
- 15:27Speaker 3: That's pretty decent.
- 15:28Speaker 2: That's probably the whole area of well central Tampa, not
- 15:32Speaker 2: the whole area, but it's only growing. I think he
- 15:35Speaker 2: was just on Rick Ross's instagram, So Rick Ross the bouse.
- 15:39Speaker 2: But that's where he really got started, is just doing
- 15:41Speaker 2: dumb things. I think at UT and then he took
- 15:43Speaker 2: it all the way to Tampa.
- 15:44Speaker 1: He's so Tampa.
- 15:45Speaker 2: He's so Tampa. He is the epitome of what it
- 15:48Speaker 2: means to be I think. Especially what's so funny is
- 15:51Speaker 2: there's a like there's a big difference between like a
- 15:53Speaker 2: USF grad.
- 15:54Speaker 3: And a UT grad.
- 15:55Speaker 1: Oh what's the difference.
- 15:56Speaker 2: We're different breeds of humans, we dress difference, we party different.
- 16:00Speaker 2: Let's say, well I went to USF, so of course
- 16:02Speaker 2: I'm going to be biased. I'm definitely gonna be bias here.
- 16:05Speaker 2: UT feels a little more. Again, not everybody, but some
- 16:11Speaker 2: very BROI very T shirts and like shorty shorts as
- 16:15Speaker 2: a dude, probably some new balanced shoes and like some
- 16:19Speaker 2: mid socks and then a flat bill hat. They're gonna
- 16:21Speaker 2: be your bros, most likely over at mc ditton's on
- 16:26Speaker 2: a Friday night.
- 16:27Speaker 1: Okay, douchey frat bro. I feel like you can get
- 16:30Speaker 1: that USS.
- 16:31Speaker 3: You definitely can.
- 16:32Speaker 2: It's just we are saturated more with a different kind
- 16:35Speaker 2: of like we're a wider range of men, so we
- 16:39Speaker 2: have that.
- 16:39Speaker 3: I was around that a lot in the fraternity life.
- 16:42Speaker 2: But then you also just have your normal dudes that
- 16:44Speaker 2: were like a collared shirt and like a you know,
- 16:46Speaker 2: set of jeans and i'll say a caveat. We also
- 16:50Speaker 2: have the guys that were jeans and like flip Flopscha.
- 16:52Speaker 2: I don't think you'll see that at UT. We're funky
- 16:55Speaker 2: at USF because we come all around the world, as
- 16:57Speaker 2: UT does too, but it's just it's a smaller concert.
- 17:00Speaker 2: They're like a tenth of the size that we are
- 17:02Speaker 2: at USF.
- 17:03Speaker 1: And for context, UT is a private school, USF public school.
- 17:06Speaker 2: Correct, and I know a lot of the UT grads.
- 17:08Speaker 2: They usually come down from up North anyway.
- 17:11Speaker 1: So I see this man out and about, and I
- 17:14Speaker 1: guess that's my first Tampa celebrities sighting out in the wild.
- 17:17Speaker 1: But what I find about Tampa, what I find funny
- 17:19Speaker 1: about Tampa is it's the most random people you're gonna
- 17:22Speaker 1: see out and about. Like I was getting a facial
- 17:25Speaker 1: at Clean Your Dirty Face and Channel Side because they
- 17:27Speaker 1: gifted me something. And I won't say who the celebrity was.
- 17:31Speaker 1: I'll tell you later because it's somebody that's seen a
- 17:33Speaker 1: lot around Tampa. Another one No, no, no, not well yeah,
- 17:36Speaker 1: like a celebrity, but not Tampa Terrent, somebody else like
- 17:39Speaker 1: a celebrity. And she was like, oh yeah, like he
- 17:41Speaker 1: frequents I'm just gonna name a random restaurant. He frequents
- 17:46Speaker 1: Bulan a lot, and he's known for like pooping his pants.
- 17:48Speaker 1: And I'm like, oh my god, who who? I didn't
- 17:50Speaker 1: know who this person was, but apparently this is like
- 17:52Speaker 1: a Tampa staple, Like this is a guy pants, this
- 17:55Speaker 1: is somebody that's seen around Tampa a lot. But he's
- 17:57Speaker 1: a celebrity. Like he's a legitimate celebrity.
- 17:59Speaker 3: I know exact you're talking about.
- 18:00Speaker 1: Yep.
- 18:02Speaker 2: I at the I'm trying to let me get the
- 18:04Speaker 2: name in my head. I'm not going to say it.
- 18:06Speaker 2: I'm just trying to think of who it is.
- 18:08Speaker 1: I'll tell you, hann He's.
- 18:11Speaker 3: Who Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I know you're talking about.
- 18:16Speaker 1: And she was like, yeah, that's like a very common
- 18:18Speaker 1: thing for that, for that to happen. I was like, wow,
- 18:20Speaker 1: I've never do you know? That was the thing.
- 18:22Speaker 2: It is weird because I wonder how many cities have this.
- 18:24Speaker 2: Because I was like, if you come to Tampa. Then
- 18:26Speaker 2: you know Tampa Terrence. Yeah, if you are in Baltimore,
- 18:29Speaker 2: who is there Baltimore Terrence?
- 18:31Speaker 1: Probably the I don't know, the Ravens players or whatever.
- 18:34Speaker 2: But Tampa Terrace is not a Bucks player. He's just
- 18:36Speaker 2: a dude that graduated here.
- 18:38Speaker 1: No, I know, but it's so funny. Like New York
- 18:39Speaker 1: has all the New York influencers and obviously actual celebrities. Miami,
- 18:42Speaker 1: you know, you've got like Pitbull or whatever, but Tampa,
- 18:44Speaker 1: like we have Tupa Terrans and the one celebrity, the
- 18:47Speaker 1: one dealer celebrity that poops his pans at bool on.
- 18:50Speaker 2: Now we have a bunch though, Like we have like
- 18:53Speaker 2: Kat Stickler we talked about she's a Tampa staple, which like,
- 18:56Speaker 2: thank god she put us on the map in a
- 18:58Speaker 2: big way.
- 18:59Speaker 1: We also have John c That's so true. That's a
- 19:01Speaker 1: massive name. Spoiler alert. John Cena was not the one
- 19:04Speaker 1: poopy Yeah no.
- 19:05Speaker 2: Nan ya, I don't think you'd guess who would that is.
- 19:07Speaker 2: But then you hear the name, you're like, oh yeah, yeah,
- 19:10Speaker 2: Like we have a couple massive names. And there's also
- 19:12Speaker 2: in the running community a whole set girls like who well,
- 19:16Speaker 2: let me see if I could pull up their names.
- 19:18Speaker 3: I'd have to look it up.
- 19:19Speaker 1: And running celebrities.
- 19:21Speaker 2: Yeah, but they're huge in the fitness world. Okay, And
- 19:24Speaker 2: I guess maybe it's on my algorithm because I run
- 19:26Speaker 2: and I work out all the time. But they have
- 19:28Speaker 2: hundreds of thousands of followers, and they're right here in Tampa.
- 19:31Speaker 2: And they take the running club and they turn it
- 19:32Speaker 2: into the freaking the biggest thing in the area. I
- 19:35Speaker 2: think they've done it from Miami to Tampa. Now it's
- 19:38Speaker 2: cross county lines. Okay, I guess, But there's a couple
- 19:44Speaker 2: that I want to make sure you know. It's it's
- 19:46Speaker 2: kind of cool to see what ones are special to
- 19:48Speaker 2: this area.
- 19:49Speaker 1: Okay. You also, so I made a list because we
- 19:51Speaker 1: were talking about Tampa influencers yesterday. Obviously there's the obvious ones,
- 19:54Speaker 1: cut stickler, Tampa Terrence. There's another guy that I see
- 19:57Speaker 1: on my algorithm a lot, but I don't know. I
- 19:59Speaker 1: thought he Tampa Terrence in my mind when he came
- 20:01Speaker 1: across my feet, I'm like, that's Tampa Terrence. Tap Terence.
- 20:04Speaker 1: If you saw him, you go, oh, I know who
- 20:06Speaker 1: that is. He's always talking about Tampa night life.
- 20:10Speaker 2: Oh yeah, because you usually have the close enough camera
- 20:12Speaker 2: on his space.
- 20:13Speaker 1: Tampa is so good for this. Literally, Yeah, I have
- 20:16Speaker 1: no idea. Yeah, I don't know who that guy is.
- 20:18Speaker 1: We'll call him Tampa Tray.
- 20:21Speaker 2: There's another one that is dang it, the name just
- 20:24Speaker 2: lost me. Oh, I was just showing abby about this girl,
- 20:26Speaker 2: Tampa Brie.
- 20:27Speaker 1: Tampa Bree is funny, the realtor who does all this
- 20:30Speaker 1: the satire for the million dollar houses.
- 20:32Speaker 2: Yeah, like, I think that's one that's probably gone, you know,
- 20:35Speaker 2: across the country because there is nobody. Everyone's copying her
- 20:38Speaker 2: style now where she'll get on and she'll roast a house.
- 20:41Speaker 2: She'll have this whole stand up routine about a house
- 20:44Speaker 2: that she's trying to sell.
- 20:45Speaker 3: And I've always wondered, I'm like.
- 20:47Speaker 2: How does that help you in selling the house because
- 20:49Speaker 2: you're this in the house. But it's so funny that
- 20:52Speaker 2: it gets millions of views for that one house.
- 20:56Speaker 1: It really does.
- 20:57Speaker 2: Like there are nothing you else could do to get
- 20:59Speaker 2: that much attention except for being damn funny, and she
- 21:02Speaker 2: is damn funny.
- 21:02Speaker 1: But I've never seen her about she's so funny. Well,
- 21:04Speaker 1: she's too busy selling houses.
- 21:06Speaker 2: She's writing her standard routine and selling houses.
- 21:08Speaker 1: Because she's not in downtown Tampa or Saint Pete. She's
- 21:10Speaker 1: always like, Hey, I'm in Clearwater at this two million
- 21:13Speaker 1: dollar house in a gated community. And then she's roasting
- 21:15Speaker 1: your dad.
- 21:16Speaker 2: Well yeah, she roast your dad whiles in these beautiful
- 21:18Speaker 2: marble floors. But she's hilarious. But she's somebody that's come
- 21:21Speaker 2: up in the last i would say, two years.
- 21:24Speaker 1: So these people make me want to have a Tampa
- 21:26Speaker 1: specific account, Like she's Tampa Brie, there's Tampa Terrence, there's
- 21:30Speaker 1: Tampa Tray. I want to be your Trampa. Oh yeah,
- 21:34Speaker 1: I'm Tampa Bay.
- 21:35Speaker 2: But you're getting a lot of attention now for your
- 21:37Speaker 2: Tampa roast posts.
- 21:38Speaker 1: It's so funny. And you know what, I was thinking
- 21:40Speaker 1: about this during our shift today where I was like,
- 21:44Speaker 1: you know, there really is because it's because I was
- 21:46Speaker 1: listening to a Kelsey Ballerini song. There's a there's a
- 21:48Speaker 1: thin line between love and hate.
- 21:50Speaker 3: Ah, yes, I think I walk it or are you
- 21:52Speaker 3: walking it very.
- 21:53Speaker 1: Tightly with Tampa, But I think I think that's what
- 21:57Speaker 1: what what gets the attention is like you can show
- 22:00Speaker 1: love for it by calling out things.
- 22:03Speaker 2: About it, and you know what, and this is what okay,
- 22:05Speaker 2: so little tangent for you, Abby. I was walking by
- 22:08Speaker 2: somebody yesterday and they're like, Abby putting a lot of
- 22:10Speaker 2: hate out there for Tampa. She better be careful. I'm not, though, well,
- 22:13Speaker 2: and here's what I said. I I got your back.
- 22:15Speaker 2: I was like, Abby's funny and honestly, she's honest. Like,
- 22:19Speaker 2: what do we want you to come in here and
- 22:20Speaker 2: just be, oh my god, everything's great, love every city,
- 22:23Speaker 2: love every side.
- 22:24Speaker 3: I don't want that bullshit.
- 22:26Speaker 2: I want you to allow yourself to experience, be honest
- 22:29Speaker 2: about it and as you grow.
- 22:31Speaker 3: Because here, look, let me be honest with the podcast. Fam.
- 22:34Speaker 2: I already know Abby's going to love this mother place
- 22:36Speaker 2: like I already know, But you have to allow someone
- 22:39Speaker 2: to grow.
- 22:39Speaker 3: It's kind of like a relationship.
- 22:40Speaker 2: Yeah, at first you see some pros, but you're also
- 22:43Speaker 2: you're watching out for the cons. You're like, ah, I
- 22:45Speaker 2: gotta be careful because I don't want to be like,
- 22:48Speaker 2: you know, caught off guard.
- 22:50Speaker 3: So I have high expectations, as you should.
- 22:53Speaker 2: And girl, it's so funny because everyone thinks it just
- 22:57Speaker 2: because you live here doesn't mean you have to love
- 22:58Speaker 2: everything about it.
- 22:59Speaker 3: They're area.
- 23:00Speaker 2: I love Tampa Bay. There are pockets and things that
- 23:03Speaker 2: I do not love. What do you not like about Tampa?
- 23:05Speaker 3: What do I not like about Tampa? That's a valid question.
- 23:08Speaker 1: One.
- 23:08Speaker 3: I hate the traffic on I for I hate our drivers.
- 23:10Speaker 1: We really do have a bad traffic problem.
- 23:12Speaker 3: We do.
- 23:13Speaker 2: And it's silly because it doesn't need to be that way.
- 23:15Speaker 2: It's not that busy, but we just drive dumb, yeah,
- 23:18Speaker 2: and so that causes a big problem.
- 23:20Speaker 1: It's also all the time too, Like it's I feel
- 23:22Speaker 1: felt like in Atlanta there was a lot of traffic,
- 23:25Speaker 1: but you knew when it was going to happen. Yeah,
- 23:27Speaker 1: I feel like I don't know when it's going to
- 23:29Speaker 1: happen here.
- 23:29Speaker 3: It never has a cost.
- 23:30Speaker 2: It's all of a sudden, it's like a two o'clock,
- 23:32Speaker 2: like Monday drive and you're.
- 23:34Speaker 3: Like, why am I stopped?
- 23:36Speaker 1: Also, the toll roads. There's so many toll roads here.
- 23:39Speaker 3: Yeah, that part I'm not a big fan of.
- 23:41Speaker 2: Yeah, I would say as someone that doesn't frequent downtown Tampa,
- 23:44Speaker 2: it's getting better, but it's not like it's the most
- 23:47Speaker 2: wild place to go, and there's not that much to do,
- 23:50Speaker 2: and if you do it, everything's now super expensive. So
- 23:52Speaker 2: I'm gonna stay clear and I'm gonna stay on my
- 23:54Speaker 2: Saint Pete's side. I really do like that rivalry and
- 23:57Speaker 2: I'm here for it.
- 23:57Speaker 1: I think the rivalry is fun. Absolutely, like a little friction.
- 24:01Speaker 3: As there should be.
- 24:02Speaker 2: You know, it makes you want to raise your game,
- 24:03Speaker 2: and that like a disrespectful way, but it's like, oh,
- 24:06Speaker 2: Saint Pete just got a couple new bars that like,
- 24:08Speaker 2: really they crush it, So Tampa, step up your game.
- 24:12Speaker 1: That's what I mean is like, why is the big
- 24:14Speaker 1: bar opening of the of the weekend trailer Daddy? Why
- 24:19Speaker 1: is that the big event for this weekend? Why is
- 24:22Speaker 1: the big event all the way out in Plant City?
- 24:24Speaker 1: Why is nothing going on in downtown Tampa? I mean,
- 24:27Speaker 1: we obviously we have the sports scene. We obviously have
- 24:30Speaker 1: the sports scene. But that's a gimven. You're a major
- 24:32Speaker 1: metropolitan city.
- 24:34Speaker 3: What else that's a valid point.
- 24:35Speaker 1: Am I just gonna go to Boulon and the Pearl
- 24:37Speaker 1: for the ninth time this year?
- 24:39Speaker 2: No, but you have to challenge yourself again. This goes
- 24:42Speaker 2: into the areas that I love is once you start
- 24:45Speaker 2: discovering the different pockets. So even we'll talk to callers
- 24:48Speaker 2: and you might pick up on. Like when I hear
- 24:49Speaker 2: a caller that's in a place that I'm like, oh,
- 24:51Speaker 2: that's a good one. Like we just talked to somebody
- 24:52Speaker 2: from Safety Harbor. I'm like, oh you just yes, Safety.
- 24:55Speaker 1: Harbor is a hub. It was Newport Richie.
- 24:57Speaker 2: I thought, Okay, Newport Richie is a whole different section
- 25:00Speaker 2: because Newport Richie used to be an area that when
- 25:02Speaker 2: I first got here, was a little rough, Like there
- 25:05Speaker 2: was rough parts of Newport Richie. What's cool now is
- 25:07Speaker 2: that they've built up the downtown area. They've allowed themselves
- 25:10Speaker 2: to grow, and it looks really nice down there, and
- 25:12Speaker 2: I think even the residents there would be like, oh yeah,
- 25:15Speaker 2: like we've had a boom over the past five years,
- 25:17Speaker 2: which is incredible because when you get tired of downtown Tampa, you're.
- 25:20Speaker 3: Like, oh, I'm gonna go check out Gulfport.
- 25:24Speaker 2: Yeah, just be funky for a night, Like there are
- 25:26Speaker 2: different things for you to check out. And that's another
- 25:28Speaker 2: reason I love this now. I will say I'm not
- 25:31Speaker 2: a huge fan of like the bougier.
- 25:35Speaker 3: Side of Tampa.
- 25:36Speaker 2: I know, like that's see We've talked about that a
- 25:38Speaker 2: little bit here. But as we're walking on Channel Side,
- 25:40Speaker 2: with our run club. That's not necessarily my scene. Like
- 25:44Speaker 2: you're not going to catch me at the Addition or.
- 25:47Speaker 1: To catch me at the Edition. Well, I would like to.
- 25:49Speaker 2: Check it out, but it's not going to be the
- 25:50Speaker 2: place that I frequent. You know, we are going to
- 25:53Speaker 2: go to Boolan eventually. I would like to have a
- 25:55Speaker 2: dinner at the Pearl. I would like these places, but
- 25:59Speaker 2: it's not necessary. What pulls me Catch me on Central
- 26:03Speaker 2: on a Friday night in downtown Saint Pete that pulls me,
- 26:07Speaker 2: or catching a nice dinner, like where'd I go? And
- 26:09Speaker 2: like Gulfport, walked up at a dinner and there's like
- 26:13Speaker 2: thirty retirees with a guitar in hand, just playing music.
- 26:17Speaker 2: I'm like, this is funky. I like funky. Put me
- 26:20Speaker 2: in that setting. I feel like I could just be
- 26:22Speaker 2: my full self. I don't got to put on a face,
- 26:23Speaker 2: I don't got to show up for anybody. I could
- 26:25Speaker 2: just be as I am. That's what I love about
- 26:27Speaker 2: this area.
- 26:28Speaker 1: Oh I love that.
- 26:28Speaker 3: Thank you?
- 26:29Speaker 1: Okay, what was I gonna say? Oh? On my substock yesterday,
- 26:34Speaker 1: I was talking about Channel Side because I love a
- 26:36Speaker 1: city vibe, And when we were walking through Channel Side,
- 26:39Speaker 1: I was like, oh my god, we need Tampa kind
- 26:40Speaker 1: of a city. It was so great, but I thought
- 26:43Speaker 1: I was going to be more of a Saint Pete gal.
- 26:45Speaker 2: I think when you talk about wanting to walk, like
- 26:48Speaker 2: when I tell you I went on that date and
- 26:50Speaker 2: we walked all of Central. It's so fun because you
- 26:54Speaker 2: could just walk in there's shop, wine, restaurant, activity, or
- 26:59Speaker 2: like it's never ending activities all the way down. The
- 27:03Speaker 2: hard thing with Tampa it's not necessarily like that. Like
- 27:05Speaker 2: you could walk Riverwalk. I love Riverwalk, but you're literally
- 27:09Speaker 2: just walking until you get the Sparkman Wharf. That's true,
- 27:12Speaker 2: that's where all the shops and the food and the
- 27:14Speaker 2: bowling is fun. And the Amily Arena or Benchmark inter
- 27:16Speaker 2: National Arena. But Central it's like, oh wow, you could
- 27:19Speaker 2: go from the pier and then four miles down and
- 27:21Speaker 2: you're just still surrounded by news, restaurants, new bars, new activities.
- 27:25Speaker 1: I need to have a couple of days out in
- 27:26Speaker 1: Saint Pete.
- 27:27Speaker 2: You need to do a walk down beach, drive up
- 27:29Speaker 2: the pier, down Central.
- 27:31Speaker 3: That's gonna be a vibe that I think you're truly
- 27:33Speaker 3: gonna like keep you posted. Now.
- 27:34Speaker 1: It's funky don't be don't be expecting like.
- 27:37Speaker 2: A fancy but I can deal with funky funky's fun.
- 27:40Speaker 1: Funky can be fun. As long as it's fun.
- 27:42Speaker 2: It is fun, you're gonna have a I think you
- 27:46Speaker 2: would have a lot more fun on a downtown Saint
- 27:48Speaker 2: Pete knight than you would at a downtown Tampa night.
- 27:49Speaker 3: Okay.
- 27:50Speaker 2: Now Tampa has its allure if you go and have
- 27:52Speaker 2: a wild night in like soho.
- 27:54Speaker 1: But to be fair, there's so Tampa I think has
- 27:57Speaker 1: a good When we were walking down Channel Side, here's
- 28:01Speaker 1: what pulled me in. I loved the idea. And in
- 28:04Speaker 1: my alternate universe, I work a corporate job. Interesting, Okay,
- 28:08Speaker 1: in an alternate universe, I'm twenty three years old, I
- 28:10Speaker 1: just graduated from UT I what I don't know. I'm
- 28:14Speaker 1: living in Channel Side, I work some corporate job that
- 28:17Speaker 1: I hate. I wear a pencil skirt and at six
- 28:20Speaker 1: pm I go have a drink at the Pearl. Oh wow,
- 28:22Speaker 1: there's something kind of a learning about that.
- 28:24Speaker 2: That sounds nice. I know that does sound. That sounds
- 28:27Speaker 2: sexy and like mysterious.
- 28:28Speaker 1: It sounds sexy and mysterious. But I will say, there's
- 28:30Speaker 1: nothing else to do after that correct. That's what I
- 28:33Speaker 1: don't like. That's why. That's what I don't understand. I'm like,
- 28:36Speaker 1: why does downtown Tampa not have that?
- 28:38Speaker 2: Mmm? I don't think it's as built up yet. That's
- 28:42Speaker 2: not where you'd go. You wouldn't go to downtown Tampa
- 28:44Speaker 2: for your wild night after the drink at the nice bar. Yeah,
- 28:47Speaker 2: you'd go to Soho. You go to ebor go to
- 28:49Speaker 2: Saint Pete. But it's far so far, but so Hoo's
- 28:54Speaker 2: not so Hoo's right there, And I don't.
- 28:55Speaker 1: Can I be honest with you, I have no desire
- 28:57Speaker 1: to go to Soho.
- 28:57Speaker 3: I don't think you've seen all the good sides.
- 29:00Speaker 1: It's a loon maing didn't gone.
- 29:02Speaker 3: Yeah, actually I haven't gone there really since i've been.
- 29:03Speaker 1: I was about to saying it's too young. It's like
- 29:05Speaker 1: the under twenty four crowd.
- 29:06Speaker 2: Yeah, I won a nice bar. That's still fun, but
- 29:08Speaker 2: it's still older. I like a Saint Peter's. In my
- 29:11Speaker 2: opinion right now, my chapter live really good.
- 29:14Speaker 1: I like Welcome to the Farm. Yeah, I haven't been
- 29:17Speaker 1: a good Night john Boy, but I do think I
- 29:18Speaker 1: will like it when I go.
- 29:19Speaker 3: Oh, you're gonna love it.
- 29:20Speaker 1: Good Night john Boy is a club that plays music
- 29:23Speaker 1: with lyrics. Yeh, that's what I've heard.
- 29:25Speaker 2: Well, it's the I'm gonna say this as respectfully as possible.
- 29:27Speaker 2: It's it's the oldies bar. It's literally seventies and eighties music.
- 29:32Speaker 1: Oh so it's Johnny's Hideaway. It's yeah, have you got
- 29:35Speaker 1: John's Wideway? No?
- 29:36Speaker 3: I have no idea what that.
- 29:36Speaker 1: So there's this bar that was down the street for me. God,
- 29:39Speaker 1: I regret not going. It was literally down the street
- 29:41Speaker 1: for me, and I never went. I went once here. No,
- 29:44Speaker 1: it's in Atlanta, And when I came up from my
- 29:46Speaker 1: interview for my last job, they were like, you need
- 29:48Speaker 1: to go to Johnny's ight Away and I was like,
- 29:49Speaker 1: the heck whatever. So we go to Johnny'shideway and it's
- 29:51Speaker 1: the oldies bar. Yeah, disco it MILF's in the corner.
- 29:56Speaker 1: You're not allowed to have a drink on the dance floor.
- 29:57Speaker 1: That kind of vibe, and it's so hard to get
- 29:59Speaker 1: it into every weekend and they have all these weird rules.
- 30:02Speaker 1: Every time I would go back, they'd be like, your
- 30:03Speaker 1: friend can't go because he's got a logo in the shirt, Like,
- 30:05Speaker 1: what the heck?
- 30:05Speaker 3: What does that have to do with anything.
- 30:06Speaker 1: It's like, I don't know. I think they were just
- 30:07Speaker 1: trying to kick out men.
- 30:08Speaker 3: Oh true.
- 30:09Speaker 1: Anyway, so I love that kind of vibe. So maybe,
- 30:13Speaker 1: but I think it's newer than Johnny'shigway. Johnnys Hdway has
- 30:15Speaker 1: been there since the seventies.
- 30:16Speaker 3: Yeah, no, this is very new.
- 30:17Speaker 2: It was one in an area that was like, oh,
- 30:19Speaker 2: we're gonna throw in this random seventies bar and people
- 30:22Speaker 2: effing love it.
- 30:22Speaker 1: But yeah, I want to go. Try your parents to.
- 30:24Speaker 3: Love it, but we would love it, like that's how
- 30:26Speaker 3: the vibe is.
- 30:26Speaker 2: But I will say, you know, it's very I got
- 30:28Speaker 2: what this is the phrase for.
- 30:30Speaker 3: Is it agist?
- 30:32Speaker 1: What's the phrase when you're discriminating against because of your age? Agis?
- 30:35Speaker 3: Okay, I was in good Night John Boy.
- 30:37Speaker 1: And you felt too young?
- 30:38Speaker 2: Well I literally got called out for being too young.
- 30:40Speaker 2: Well I love that, Now I don't because I was like, girl,
- 30:43Speaker 2: let me dance.
- 30:44Speaker 3: Did I look at you? See? I get see? I'm
- 30:46Speaker 3: so nice. Yeah, but you challenge me. I'm gonna challenge
- 30:48Speaker 3: you right now.
- 30:48Speaker 1: But other bars have a similar vibe to good Night
- 30:50Speaker 1: John Boy, So that dancing vibe, yeah, because I like
- 30:53Speaker 1: to dance. That's why I like we Are. I always
- 30:55Speaker 1: want to call it we are the farmers. Welcome to
- 30:57Speaker 1: the farm, walcome to the farm is a very popular.
- 31:00Speaker 2: When there's the Uncle Bar. I can't remember our friend
- 31:03Speaker 2: here in the building knows the name. They go a lot.
- 31:05Speaker 2: It's Bob's Drunkle. No, it's not Bob Drunkle. It's like SEC.
- 31:08Speaker 2: On the second floor. There's the Estate, which is like
- 31:11Speaker 2: a club that's in central or that's you know, in
- 31:14Speaker 2: downtown Saint Pete.
- 31:15Speaker 1: That is literally a club.
- 31:17Speaker 2: But you can't go until midnight because I've gone there
- 31:20Speaker 2: up until and it's no one in there.
- 31:21Speaker 3: Now.
- 31:22Speaker 2: If you like an empty dance floor and you just
- 31:24Speaker 2: want to dance your ass off alone, I want to
- 31:25Speaker 2: dance with other people. Well, then you go at midnight
- 31:27Speaker 2: and then it's Legiti Club, great DJ, great fog, Yeah,
- 31:32Speaker 2: great light, great drinks.
- 31:33Speaker 3: I've been.
- 31:34Speaker 1: We need we need to do like a day drinking
- 31:36Speaker 1: thing met you and Alexia in downtown Saint Pete.
- 31:38Speaker 3: Like a what I used to call that back in
- 31:40Speaker 3: the day, a darty, a darty.
- 31:41Speaker 1: We need to get brunch somewhere. We need to go
- 31:43Speaker 1: to Olivia, get brunch and go to We Are the Farmers.
- 31:47Speaker 3: I'm down for that.
- 31:48Speaker 1: I think that would be fun.
- 31:49Speaker 3: I'd be in.
- 31:49Speaker 2: I mean, we went there's also a play one night Stand,
- 31:52Speaker 2: but that's another country bar.
- 31:53Speaker 3: Okay, I think have you been to that one?
- 31:55Speaker 1: No, I've only been to a Wee the Farmer Okay. No.
- 31:57Speaker 2: One night Stand is that one's been there longer, and
- 31:59Speaker 2: it's like more like Saint Pete vibe of kind of cool, rugged.
- 32:03Speaker 2: There's a mechanical bowl, there's a stage you could do
- 32:06Speaker 2: all that. We went down, and the place that I
- 32:08Speaker 2: wanted to go on this date was called Tampa Bay Drinkery,
- 32:12Speaker 2: which that's my vibe, very funky inside, comfy couches, red walls,
- 32:16Speaker 2: piano bar.
- 32:17Speaker 1: I love that.
- 32:18Speaker 3: You also want to go to show Bar and Ebor.
- 32:20Speaker 3: I've told you about that one.
- 32:21Speaker 2: Which one is show Bar, that's the dueling piano bar
- 32:23Speaker 2: that like turns the f up.
- 32:24Speaker 1: But everyone warns me about y bar. When people say Ebor, yeah,
- 32:29Speaker 1: it's almost like a cold breeze runs through. The windows
- 32:33Speaker 1: fly open, there's a howling, a ghost comes through. There's
- 32:38Speaker 1: always an ominous vibe when we woule go Ebor.
- 32:41Speaker 2: Ebor has a bad rap There's been some bad things
- 32:44Speaker 2: that have happened in Ebor, but if you go with friends,
- 32:49Speaker 2: if you go when it's popular, you're gonna be fine.
- 32:52Speaker 2: There's been really, honestly, some very tragic things that have happened,
- 32:55Speaker 2: but as in any big city, as in any big area,
- 32:58Speaker 2: and that's very popular. It's not saying that it's something
- 33:01Speaker 2: that's okay to happen, but it has happened, so that
- 33:03Speaker 2: would be silly not to. You should never go just expecting,
- 33:05Speaker 2: oh my god, I'm completely safe.
- 33:07Speaker 3: I'm gonna leave.
- 33:08Speaker 2: My purse hanging out as far as I can outside
- 33:10Speaker 2: my body. I'm gonna hold my phone out, and I'm
- 33:12Speaker 2: gonna walk alone down an alley.
- 33:13Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, don't do that.
- 33:15Speaker 1: I do want to go. That's the other thing I
- 33:16Speaker 1: need do to my Tampa bucket list is go out
- 33:18Speaker 1: and needbor And is it really as frightening as everyone
- 33:20Speaker 1: makes it out to be.
- 33:21Speaker 3: No, it's not. When you go out, it's not gonna
- 33:23Speaker 3: be frightening.
- 33:24Speaker 1: Mm hm.
- 33:24Speaker 2: You will notice that there's probably moments that you gotta
- 33:27Speaker 2: be a little more on high alert and be like, okay,
- 33:29Speaker 2: let me stay with my group.
- 33:30Speaker 3: I'm gonna be good. It's just busy.
- 33:33Speaker 2: So it's as if I remember the first time I
- 33:35Speaker 2: was walking down New York City and I got warned.
- 33:38Speaker 2: It was don't look at people, don't talk to people,
- 33:41Speaker 2: keep your head straight and keep going.
- 33:42Speaker 1: But again, your buddy the elf, you damn right I.
- 33:44Speaker 2: Am, and so I literally was like doing everything. I
- 33:47Speaker 2: was like, Okay, I'm gonna keep my head down, I'm
- 33:48Speaker 2: gonna walk forward.
- 33:50Speaker 1: But then this guy was like, dude, hey, here's my CD.
- 33:53Speaker 2: And I was like, I was told to just keep
- 33:55Speaker 2: looking forward. So I just grabbed the CD and I
- 33:57Speaker 2: kept walking, and then he grabbed me from the back.
- 33:59Speaker 2: He's like, hey, mother fucker, you're not gonna pay for that.
- 34:04Speaker 2: I said, you literally just handed it to me, and
- 34:08Speaker 2: I was told to keep my head down and keep walking.
- 34:10Speaker 3: So that's what I did.
- 34:11Speaker 1: I was gonna steal from him.
- 34:12Speaker 3: He was giving it to me.
- 34:13Speaker 2: He didn't okay, he said, I've given out CDs, given
- 34:16Speaker 2: out CDs.
- 34:17Speaker 3: I just took one and I kept going.
- 34:18Speaker 1: I'm just surprised you didn't see him and go, oh
- 34:20Speaker 1: my god, a new friend.
- 34:21Speaker 2: Absolutely not, because he was about to legit stab me
- 34:24Speaker 2: right there in the middle of time. Square would he
- 34:27Speaker 2: would have I gave him the CD. I kept moving.
- 34:29Speaker 2: I didn't say a word because I was not about
- 34:31Speaker 2: to die. Kind of how ebor is. Sometimes you're gonna
- 34:34Speaker 2: see people, they're gonna be doing their thing on the sidewalk.
- 34:37Speaker 2: You just keep moving forward. You don't interact, you don't
- 34:40Speaker 2: ask questions, you don't say anything.
- 34:41Speaker 1: You know. The one thing I have done in ebor
- 34:43Speaker 1: So I did a cheese making workshop.
- 34:45Speaker 3: There are a lot of cool things to do, a.
- 34:47Speaker 1: Lot of cheese making workshops.
- 34:49Speaker 3: They're making it better.
- 34:50Speaker 2: But it's like so like when you go during the day,
- 34:52Speaker 2: it's beautiful, very old style Tampa.
- 34:56Speaker 1: I know when I went down for the first time,
- 34:58Speaker 1: I was like, how is this not the main dred
- 35:00Speaker 1: where everyone lives. It's very pretty and historical.
- 35:02Speaker 3: We're trying to make it more of that now. Either
- 35:04Speaker 3: it's just it's got a bad rap.
- 35:05Speaker 2: I mean a lot of people are there, so it's
- 35:07Speaker 2: again it's play the odds.
- 35:09Speaker 3: There's a lot of people. There's gonna be some people
- 35:11Speaker 3: that do bad things.
- 35:11Speaker 1: At this point, they just need to invest all their
- 35:13Speaker 1: money in trying to find a decent strip of bars
- 35:16Speaker 1: for Tampa. Oh that's gonna be How do we not
- 35:19Speaker 1: have a strip of waterfront bars in Tampa.
- 35:21Speaker 2: That's a good point. It's usually hotels right now, it's
- 35:23Speaker 2: just hotels. You would have to hop from gosh, what
- 35:25Speaker 2: are those hotels called. It's just all along. You'd go
- 35:28Speaker 2: to the top of like the Maryout like you wanted.
- 35:29Speaker 1: To be a beacon the West End. Mm hmm.
- 35:31Speaker 3: You could go there.
- 35:32Speaker 2: There's also that strip, Oh my god, have you not
- 35:35Speaker 2: gone by like Naked Farmer by Boulan, that whole strip.
- 35:39Speaker 3: Of little restaurants.
- 35:40Speaker 1: I mean it's been The area is pretty because it's
- 35:42Speaker 1: all outdoor seating.
- 35:43Speaker 3: They got the string lights. I love that. I love
- 35:44Speaker 3: a stringline.
- 35:45Speaker 1: I love a string light too.
- 35:46Speaker 3: They have that on that little section.
- 35:48Speaker 1: We should get string lights in here.
- 35:49Speaker 3: Where the hell we're gonna.
- 35:51Speaker 1: I don't know, but they would really up the vibe.
- 35:53Speaker 1: We're kind of giving. We're kind of giving Scranton Paper Company.
- 35:59Speaker 2: Actually we are with our broken blinds. Are walls that
- 36:03Speaker 2: are definitely mismatched right now. One is decorated in the
- 36:05Speaker 2: new Magic ninety four nine logo. The other one is
- 36:08Speaker 2: just the mishmash of Taylor Swift, Sean Bendez Jonas brothers
- 36:11Speaker 2: in Pink Gear. So once they get it all uniform
- 36:14Speaker 2: will be nice.
- 36:14Speaker 1: Put it into the request. Should we put in should
- 36:17Speaker 1: we start a bet with our listeners for how long
- 36:19Speaker 1: it's going to take for them to turn our studio
- 36:21Speaker 1: from Scranton, Pennsylvania.
- 36:22Speaker 3: To exclusive recording studio.
- 36:28Speaker 1: Yeah. Our teletubbie colors are hot, pink and yellow.
- 36:31Speaker 3: It is bright. I like the look of it.
- 36:33Speaker 1: So I was telling Scotty, you know that short essay
- 36:36Speaker 1: that is about the woman who lives in the yellow
- 36:38Speaker 1: walls and she goes clinically insane because yellow, I think
- 36:41Speaker 1: makes you descend into psychosis. I was like, if one
- 36:44Speaker 1: more yellow wall comes in here, I'm gonna I'm gonn
- 36:47Speaker 1: look like the girl from the Exercianss and be.
- 36:48Speaker 3: Like, God, it's gonna be a scary morning.
- 36:51Speaker 1: It should be done.
- 36:52Speaker 2: Let's say we could start the bet right now. Right now,
- 36:55Speaker 2: we're about a quarter of the way done in the studio.
- 36:58Speaker 2: It's been a promise for the past month that was
- 37:00Speaker 2: gonna be done.
- 37:01Speaker 1: Yeah. We have one wall done, one door, and we
- 37:04Speaker 1: need four more walls done.
- 37:06Speaker 3: One two, two more walls completely done.
- 37:10Speaker 1: I think we will have two more walls done by April.
- 37:15Speaker 3: April.
- 37:16Speaker 1: Yeah, I have no faith.
- 37:18Speaker 3: Oh my god, I'm such an optimist.
- 37:20Speaker 2: I'm gonna say it's gonna be done by the time
- 37:22Speaker 2: I get back from my cruise.
- 37:23Speaker 3: Okay, I'm you.
- 37:24Speaker 1: Want to know why it will because I'm gonna have
- 37:26Speaker 1: so much free time when you're not here that I'm
- 37:27Speaker 1: just gonna be in people's rooms being like, where's our rap?
- 37:29Speaker 3: Hey, you got time?
- 37:30Speaker 1: Where's that wrap? Where's our wrap? Where's my MinCD?
- 37:32Speaker 2: Well, they tried, but it just wasn't the right fitting.
- 37:34Speaker 2: So they were gonna do it, and then they came
- 37:35Speaker 2: back and they're like, oh, that did not fit right.
- 37:37Speaker 2: We got to come back cut it again. Which I
- 37:39Speaker 2: don't know how that mistake hacking happens. But I'm saying,
- 37:42Speaker 2: by the time I get back full studio rewrapped, we
- 37:45Speaker 2: should have new lights, new cameras, action ready to rock.
- 37:47Speaker 1: Oh I need to send that email.
- 37:48Speaker 3: That's right, Send that email. Anything else you want to cover?
- 37:53Speaker 1: Wait, what other celebrities in Tampa did we not talk about?
- 37:56Speaker 3: I think those are top like four. Okay, right now.
- 37:58Speaker 1: We also want to get on the list to have
- 38:00Speaker 1: somebody named Giovanni.
- 38:02Speaker 2: Oh yeah, well this is my buddy's friend. I just
- 38:04Speaker 2: think he's a really cool dude. I am Giovanna. I
- 38:06Speaker 2: don't know if he's like he's not necessarily an influencer,
- 38:08Speaker 2: but he has a lot of influence in the running community.
- 38:10Speaker 1: Okay, Giovanni. Thunderbug, Oh yeah, the people love Thunderbug.
- 38:15Speaker 3: I'm telling you what you don't f with Thunderbug.
- 38:17Speaker 2: Thunderbug has grown a community that people absolutely thrive for.
- 38:22Speaker 2: What about I said, Tampa Bay is awesome. That dude's
- 38:24Speaker 2: really coolbody's awesome.
- 38:25Speaker 1: Panel's run club.
- 38:27Speaker 2: Yeah, Like I like the staples of what makes this
- 38:29Speaker 2: area cool. Like I have my friends at Gateway Subs,
- 38:31Speaker 2: Like they're so dope. They do so much cool stuff
- 38:33Speaker 2: for the community. That and they're super hyper local. I
- 38:36Speaker 2: love hyper local, you know, like that's the focus. Of course,
- 38:39Speaker 2: you get big, corporate, massive influencers, but then you get
- 38:43Speaker 2: a little snooty. But the ones that are local you
- 38:46Speaker 2: could bring into the studio. Yeah, you could have a
- 38:48Speaker 2: conversation with them.
- 38:49Speaker 1: The number one that I want, Well, I would love
- 38:51Speaker 1: Kat Stickler, but we.
- 38:53Speaker 3: I think she has grown past us now.
- 38:56Speaker 1: Kat Stickler and her boyfriend John Mayor, and then I
- 38:59Speaker 1: would say.
- 39:00Speaker 3: They're dating anymore.
- 39:01Speaker 1: They probably aren't Tampa Terrence, Tampa Tray, Tampa Tray, Tampa
- 39:05Speaker 1: Bris and then Thunderbunk. I want I want all the
- 39:09Speaker 1: Tampa influencers tipa b Tip Tray or Tip a Bri,
- 39:12Speaker 1: Tempa Tray, Tampa Terrence all in one, and I want
- 39:15Speaker 1: them to have a Tampa off.
- 39:16Speaker 3: Does it?
- 39:17Speaker 1: Who's more Tampa?
- 39:18Speaker 2: Who's more Tampa Tampa games? They do the Florida Man Games,
- 39:21Speaker 2: but we could do the Tampa games.
- 39:22Speaker 1: Do the Tampa You gotta.
- 39:23Speaker 2: Swim across the Hillsboro River, you gotta catch a pelican,
- 39:27Speaker 2: you gotta run barefoot on Bay Shore, something dumb, and
- 39:31Speaker 2: you gotta make it through a night.
- 39:32Speaker 1: It's a triathlon. Who could get more likes?
- 39:33Speaker 3: That's right?
- 39:34Speaker 2: Oh what's the I think doesn't count for? Because our
- 39:37Speaker 2: news people are pretty big? Like have you seen anything
- 39:39Speaker 2: from like I guess you haven't, like a jen Epstein,
- 39:44Speaker 2: She's like the news anchor here, massive.
- 39:46Speaker 3: Okay, Charlie Belcher, Yeah, do you not watch the news?
- 39:52Speaker 1: Why would I watch the news?
- 39:53Speaker 3: I don't either? I just do you want?
- 39:56Speaker 1: Do you even watch the news?
- 39:57Speaker 3: Only know I do stuff?
- 39:58Speaker 2: They do stuff with our local station here, So it's
- 40:00Speaker 2: like they're massive names. But I don't know if that counts.
- 40:02Speaker 2: Would that be considered like calling us influencers?
- 40:05Speaker 1: Yeah? I don't really consider myself an influencer though.
- 40:07Speaker 3: But yet we are.
- 40:08Speaker 1: We are. Yeah, just that girl who's on the internet.
- 40:12Speaker 2: You're now going to be that Trampa girl that's constantly
- 40:14Speaker 2: dissing Tampa.
- 40:15Speaker 1: No, I'm not. Here's the thing, I'm not even dissing Tampa.
- 40:18Speaker 1: I'm just calling out little colloquialisms about Tampa. Yeah.
- 40:22Speaker 3: I think it's fun. I think it's playful.
- 40:23Speaker 2: I had a friend tell me they're like, oh, she
- 40:24Speaker 2: better be careful with calling out. Who'd you call out?
- 40:27Speaker 2: You know, We're not even gonna say it on here,
- 40:30Speaker 2: I'll say it off the mic. Do not repeat it
- 40:31Speaker 2: because I don't want to get attacked.
- 40:32Speaker 3: I don't want to die.
- 40:37Speaker 1: Wait, am I really going to get in trouble for that? No?
- 40:39Speaker 3: I don't think so.
- 40:40Speaker 2: But I have a friend that's been weirdly involved and
- 40:44Speaker 2: like removed, and I was like, you know what, I
- 40:47Speaker 2: don't want to flip over that stone because people are
- 40:49Speaker 2: crazy and I don't want to mess with crazy.
- 40:51Speaker 3: That's what I've learned.
- 40:52Speaker 1: I dare them come after me, don't do it alone.
- 40:55Speaker 1: Scotty knows who to report if anything happens to.
- 40:58Speaker 3: Me that I do but don't.
- 41:01Speaker 1: No, But it's all satirical and it's all in good fun.
- 41:03Speaker 1: And I feel like it's all who has actually gotten mad?
- 41:06Speaker 1: What group has actually gotten the Thunderbug lovers, the Thunderbug lovers,
- 41:10Speaker 1: and then people from Saint Pete. Those are the two
- 41:13Speaker 1: most passionate people in my comment section. Yeah, but I've
- 41:15Speaker 1: never said any I love Saint Pete. I've never said
- 41:18Speaker 1: anything bad about Saint Pete.
- 41:19Speaker 3: That's right, you're gonna fall in love with it.
- 41:20Speaker 1: That's why when the Saint Pete people are in my comments,
- 41:22Speaker 1: I'm like, I've only ever talked to I leave Saint Pete.
- 41:25Speaker 1: Like the slander will not be tolerated. I'm like, what's lander?
- 41:27Speaker 1: I'm constantly saying, it's better than Tampa.
- 41:30Speaker 3: People are gonna hear what they want to hear.
- 41:31Speaker 1: That's what I mean is I think people see something
- 41:34Speaker 1: with a dry sense of humor and they immediately take
- 41:36Speaker 1: it with a negative context.
- 41:37Speaker 2: Of course, and then it just fine, that's fine, leave
- 41:39Speaker 2: a comment, share the video, you know, and then also
- 41:42Speaker 2: just you know, have.
- 41:43Speaker 3: Fun with it and nothing is that that serious?
- 41:45Speaker 2: I think what you'll find is if you live in
- 41:46Speaker 2: Saint Pete, there's just so much more going on all
- 41:48Speaker 2: the time. It's an event down by the pier, there's
- 41:51Speaker 2: something going down on Central. There's a run club over
- 41:53Speaker 2: in Gulfport, like you could get in the tub. Like
- 41:55Speaker 2: all these different things leave for so much more adventure.
- 41:58Speaker 2: Do I do any of them?
- 42:00Speaker 3: No? I'm tired.
- 42:02Speaker 1: I know. That's why every week when we're doing the show,
- 42:04Speaker 1: he's like, okay, so what's going on this weekend. I'm like, Scottie,
- 42:06Speaker 1: I don't know. I'm going to be in my bed.
- 42:08Speaker 3: I know.
- 42:08Speaker 2: But I was even talking to my dad before we
- 42:10Speaker 2: went to the mffors that don't run, and I was like,
- 42:12Speaker 2: you know, I'm trying to be young. I was like,
- 42:14Speaker 2: what are you doing. He's like, man, I'm sixty three.
- 42:17Speaker 2: I'm going to bed. Like I'm hanging out, I'm eating dinner,
- 42:19Speaker 2: I'm watching the news.
- 42:20Speaker 3: I'm going to bed.
- 42:21Speaker 2: I was like, God, see that sounds so nice. But
- 42:23Speaker 2: I guess I gotta do the young thing and go
- 42:24Speaker 2: out and socialize. He's like, yeah, that's exactly what you
- 42:26Speaker 2: do at twenty nine. It's like, fine, so that should
- 42:29Speaker 2: be the move like tonight. What it's today?
- 42:31Speaker 3: Today? Friday? Crap?
- 42:34Speaker 1: Okay, today's Friday. We're posting this Tuesday. That's valid.
- 42:37Speaker 2: But it's supposed to be like a going out to
- 42:39Speaker 2: bush Gardens. We're going to like a wine and food
- 42:41Speaker 2: media event that's fun and social.
- 42:44Speaker 3: I might be fun in social on Saturday night and
- 42:46Speaker 3: go out.
- 42:46Speaker 1: What are you going to do on Saturday?
- 42:48Speaker 2: Well, I'm doing my seminary and then afterwards, I would
- 42:51Speaker 2: like to, you know, celebrate. I was looking at the
- 42:53Speaker 2: Nice Plum lounge there booked again on Saturday, so I
- 42:56Speaker 2: don't know if I'm going to be able to get
- 42:57Speaker 2: a spot, but I would like to do something and
- 43:00Speaker 2: then Sunday.
- 43:02Speaker 3: If we listened to the podcast yesterday, I was supposed
- 43:04Speaker 3: to do this, I'm supposed to do my date on Sunday.
- 43:07Speaker 1: You're supposed to do well.
- 43:09Speaker 3: We said where I was going to switch it this Saturday?
- 43:11Speaker 1: So did you text her and switch it side?
- 43:12Speaker 3: We were texting, but I didn't get to that point.
- 43:14Speaker 1: I fall asleep. You know text right now every podcast
- 43:18Speaker 1: texting tutor. Okay, now I will.
- 43:21Speaker 2: I'll definitely see if there's something else we could do.
- 43:23Speaker 2: I want to look for something cool. And I think
- 43:25Speaker 2: that's you know, that's an expensive game to play. But
- 43:27Speaker 2: I'm looking for the cool things to do on dates,
- 43:29Speaker 2: not just a dinner. I could go dinner anytime, but like,
- 43:31Speaker 2: what's a cool dinner or what's a cool drink?
- 43:33Speaker 1: Spot Trailer Daddy. We got a Trailer Daddy tonight.
- 43:36Speaker 2: We maybe I'm dangsy. That's my old man that just
- 43:41Speaker 2: kicked and he's.
- 43:42Speaker 3: Like, I'm tired.
- 43:43Speaker 1: You want to go to Busch Gardens.
- 43:44Speaker 2: Well that's different. That's free food and free drinks. Trailer
- 43:48Speaker 2: Daddy's not free food and not free.
- 43:50Speaker 1: We got invited to something though.
- 43:52Speaker 2: Well then if that's the case, then possibly I would
- 43:55Speaker 2: like to do it simply for the show purpose of
- 43:59Speaker 2: getting especially if you listen to this, like just be
- 44:01Speaker 2: the insider. I want you to be the insider with us,
- 44:04Speaker 2: because we get to see a lot of cool stuff.
- 44:06Speaker 1: Yeah, we got an email. Okay. On Friday, March sixth,
- 44:09Speaker 1: Trailer Daddy will be hosting an exclusive VIP hour from
- 44:13Speaker 1: Blah Blah blah blah blah blah blah. You and up
- 44:15Speaker 1: to four guests are invited to an exclusive first look
- 44:18Speaker 1: at the venue with complimentary drink tickets. And swag. You
- 44:21Speaker 1: can get a taste of downtown St. Pete's newest energy
- 44:24Speaker 1: hotspot before doors officially open to public later in the evening.
- 44:27Speaker 3: How late in the night does it go?
- 44:29Speaker 1: I don't want to tell people. Well, I guess they
- 44:31Speaker 1: can't get in. It's from seven to eight. Oh yeah,
- 44:33Speaker 1: it'll be. We're posting this Tuesday.
- 44:35Speaker 2: Yeah, so that's it's too early. I don't think we're
- 44:37Speaker 2: gonna make it too early.
- 44:38Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 44:39Speaker 2: Well, because we're gonna be a Busch Garden. I'm gonna
- 44:40Speaker 2: be a Bush Guarden. You should go to Trailer Daddy.
- 44:42Speaker 2: I'll go to Busch Gardens double double work.
- 44:45Speaker 1: I'm supposed to Solid cored nite though, what time is
- 44:47Speaker 1: salt gosh? Dang it.
- 44:48Speaker 3: See this is why we setting ourselves up there a
- 44:50Speaker 3: solid core is uh?
- 44:54Speaker 2: It sounds like we're getting paid for Trailer Daddy. Absolutely not,
- 44:57Speaker 2: definitely not.
- 44:58Speaker 1: They should be giving us free tickets.
- 44:59Speaker 3: I wish.
- 45:00Speaker 1: Why do you want to go to Busch Garden so bad?
- 45:01Speaker 2: Well, because they're a partner like of us, so they
- 45:04Speaker 2: send us all the exclusive stuff.
- 45:05Speaker 3: You're probably going to be.
- 45:05Speaker 2: A Busch Garden's ambassador soon. That's what I am. So
- 45:08Speaker 2: Bush Gardens is like, they're my homies.
- 45:10Speaker 1: Who you going to Busch Gardens with?
- 45:12Speaker 3: It was supposed to be you, but I'll go with
- 45:13Speaker 3: my roommate.
- 45:16Speaker 1: Can I be home by nine? Yeah?
- 45:19Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know.
- 45:20Speaker 1: And I go to Solid Court nine yeah yeah, yeah, over,
- 45:22Speaker 1: I know if I can go to Solid Court nine.
- 45:24Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm not gonna make you miss your work out.
- 45:25Speaker 2: And I want to go to bed because I got
- 45:26Speaker 2: to do my seminar tomorrow, so, you know, trying to
- 45:29Speaker 2: be busy, trying to be fun, but also man, I
- 45:31Speaker 2: do love a good night's rest. God dang, I love
- 45:34Speaker 2: a night of nothing.
- 45:35Speaker 1: I know. I don't like to do things on Friday
- 45:37Speaker 1: because I'm always tired. Yeah, I like Saturday. I like
- 45:39Speaker 1: having a fun Saturday. What are you gonna do this way?
- 45:41Speaker 1: Do you have any Are you going on.
- 45:42Speaker 3: The coffee thing?
- 45:43Speaker 1: I'm doing a little coffee right.
- 45:44Speaker 3: We didn't mentioned that on the podcast. What is this
- 45:46Speaker 3: coffee thing? And who is?
- 45:47Speaker 2: Like, I'm sure the friend's cool, but is it a
- 45:48Speaker 2: friend that's you already knew it's literally just.
- 45:50Speaker 1: A girl who DM me And I was like, I'll
- 45:51Speaker 1: go that's awesome. Yeah. I try not to say no
- 45:54Speaker 1: to things unless like, I don't feel like it's going
- 45:56Speaker 1: to be a safe situation. But I was like, she
- 45:57Speaker 1: looks normal.
- 45:58Speaker 3: Yeah, did you already like do all the investigation.
- 46:00Speaker 1: And of like no on Instagram?
- 46:03Speaker 3: Okay? What is what does Instagram look like? What are interests?
- 46:06Speaker 3: What matches?
- 46:07Speaker 1: She just looks normal, like a normal gal? You know
- 46:09Speaker 1: what I mean. I've thought that too. Oh my gosh,
- 46:11Speaker 1: I've had good luck making friends on Instagram.
- 46:13Speaker 3: I will say that's impressive.
- 46:14Speaker 2: I think that's more trustworthy than dudes, because I feel
- 46:18Speaker 2: like I get a lot of messages from guys that
- 46:19Speaker 2: are like, dude, let's hang and I'm like, oh, I
- 46:22Speaker 2: don't know.
- 46:23Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 46:24Speaker 2: It seems if you press too hard then I'm more
- 46:27Speaker 2: likely to back off. Does that make sense? Yeah, because
- 46:30Speaker 2: I've had guys like say it, let's say ten times.
- 46:32Speaker 1: But you love a friend?
- 46:34Speaker 3: I do.
- 46:34Speaker 2: But I also if my my friends know, I don't
- 46:36Speaker 2: put a lot of energy right now into them.
- 46:39Speaker 3: What's that sounds really sad? I don't have a lot
- 46:41Speaker 3: of time.
- 46:41Speaker 1: You're going with me to Bush Gardens instead of your friends,
- 46:44Speaker 1: although you went to Busch Gardens already.
- 46:45Speaker 2: I was bringing I was gonna bring you to Busch
- 46:47Speaker 2: Gardens because we literally do a show together.
- 46:50Speaker 3: I was going to bring you into that world.
- 46:51Speaker 1: That's so nice.
- 46:52Speaker 3: I know we're supposed to do things together.
- 46:55Speaker 1: I know's we can go if I can be home
- 46:57Speaker 1: by nine.
- 46:58Speaker 3: Be home by nine.
- 46:58Speaker 1: I think solid.
- 47:00Speaker 2: I think it should just be like six thirty to
- 47:02Speaker 2: seven thirty and.
- 47:04Speaker 3: Then you're good to go.
- 47:04Speaker 1: How far is Bush Gardens from here?
- 47:06Speaker 3: From here or from where you live?
- 47:08Speaker 1: From Hyde Park? Oh?
- 47:09Speaker 3: God, thirty minutes.
- 47:12Speaker 1: Oh it's not bad.
- 47:12Speaker 3: Yeah, you'll be there.
- 47:13Speaker 1: I leave by eight.
- 47:15Speaker 3: Are you going to be able to drink wine before
- 47:16Speaker 3: doing solid?
- 47:17Speaker 1: But I'm not going to drink wine, that's the thing.
- 47:18Speaker 3: But I'm not going to drink wine either.
- 47:20Speaker 1: I know. So why are we going?
- 47:21Speaker 2: Oh Jesus, that's a good point. Well, because I want
- 47:24Speaker 2: to highlight their stuff. Yeah, or maybe I'll just we'll see.
- 47:27Speaker 1: Can we ride a ride? Yeah?
- 47:29Speaker 2: I think we have the whole park. I think it's
- 47:30Speaker 2: open to the whole park. I believe I could be wrong. Yeah,
- 47:33Speaker 2: I could have misspoken. So I'll have to go back
- 47:35Speaker 2: in the email and see.
- 47:36Speaker 1: Why don't you check the details, And then I'll decide
- 47:37Speaker 1: if I want to.
- 47:38Speaker 2: Go Okay, we have you know what, this is going
- 47:39Speaker 2: to be posted on Tuesday. Maybe we went, maybe we
- 47:41Speaker 2: did not go.
- 47:42Speaker 1: I have no idea that people like, oh I saw
- 47:44Speaker 1: those posts, She's sad.
- 47:46Speaker 3: Oh she was sad the whole time time.
- 47:49Speaker 2: No, we'll definitely we'll have to do a bush Gardens
- 47:51Speaker 2: day because that's actually a lot of fun.
- 47:52Speaker 3: Yeah, and they treat it very nicely.
- 47:54Speaker 1: If I hadn't arready mentally committed to Solid Core, i'd
- 47:56Speaker 1: be more enthused.
- 47:57Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 47:58Speaker 3: Is it when you do get overwhelm by too many
- 48:00Speaker 3: things being added on?
- 48:02Speaker 1: Well, I like I like a routine and my Friday
- 48:06Speaker 1: routine because I don't know if I'm gonna go out tomorrow,
- 48:08Speaker 1: and if I have Solid Core book tomorrow, so I
- 48:11Speaker 1: can go tomorrow. But what if I want to do
- 48:12Speaker 1: something tomorrow, then I'm as selling Core two days in
- 48:14Speaker 1: a row.
- 48:14Speaker 3: Oh yeah, you don't want to do that. Why don't
- 48:16Speaker 3: you do Solid Core in the.
- 48:17Speaker 1: Morning because I'm meeting my friend tomorrow for the solid
- 48:20Speaker 1: Core or for the cookie cop cook I'm out of
- 48:23Speaker 1: words coffee thing.
- 48:24Speaker 3: That sounds so fun? Good for you? Is that the
- 48:27Speaker 3: only way you're making friends just Instagram? Or is it
- 48:28Speaker 3: like meet up too.
- 48:29Speaker 1: Yeah, are we not friends?
- 48:31Speaker 3: Were all?
- 48:31Speaker 1: Yes? I don't need that many friends, Scott.
- 48:33Speaker 3: That's what I'm saying. That's why I don't.
- 48:35Speaker 2: You know, people ask me on Instagram like if I
- 48:36Speaker 2: have time then maybe yeah. But I'm trying to make
- 48:38Speaker 2: sure I have the friends of my life right now
- 48:40Speaker 2: that I truly like put energy towards.
- 48:42Speaker 1: I know, but I don't want to become one of
- 48:44Speaker 1: those people that goes, why don't I have any friends?
- 48:46Speaker 1: And I say not to things like this exactly. Well,
- 48:48Speaker 1: there's a beautiful book.
- 48:49Speaker 2: It's called The Year of Yes, and it's a beautiful
- 48:53Speaker 2: read by Shonda Rhymes.
- 48:55Speaker 1: It's by Shonda Rhymes. Oh oh my god, I love her.
- 48:57Speaker 1: I know it was a great book. I said yes
- 48:59Speaker 1: to everything. I'm going to write a book called the
- 49:01Speaker 1: Year of Maybe.
- 49:03Speaker 2: I had the Year of No. I'm still exiting out
- 49:06Speaker 2: of my Year of No. I just said, note everything,
- 49:07Speaker 2: you want to do this, No, you want to go
- 49:09Speaker 2: on this trip, No, you want to spend this.
- 49:10Speaker 1: No, yet you're doing everything absolutely Zoomba, Alaska. Well, I will.
- 49:15Speaker 2: Say it's it's helped to open up what's out there,
- 49:18Speaker 2: Like even I was getting picked on yesterday for going
- 49:21Speaker 2: on these dates. And I understand that it's a little
- 49:23Speaker 2: weird that I'm trying to be single, but yet I'm
- 49:25Speaker 2: going on dates.
- 49:25Speaker 3: So I'm leaving the door open to be in a relationship.
- 49:27Speaker 3: I get it. But I'm also just saying yes.
- 49:29Speaker 2: I'm saying yes to a dinner, I'm saying yes to
- 49:31Speaker 2: a drink, I'm saying yes to a trivia, and I'm
- 49:33Speaker 2: saying yes to a dating activity because why the hell not.
- 49:35Speaker 2: I'd rather see what happens than not. What am I
- 49:38Speaker 2: supposed to do? Just put myself in a cave for
- 49:39Speaker 2: a year. That sounds horrible, but I think that's what
- 49:41Speaker 2: people expect from me.
- 49:45Speaker 1: They do.
- 49:46Speaker 3: Well, I'm not going to do it.
- 49:48Speaker 1: Don't live in don't live up to people's expectations. Scotty.
- 49:51Speaker 1: Consistently disappoint them. That's what I like to do.
- 49:53Speaker 3: Interesting way of phrasing that.
- 49:55Speaker 2: You know what, you could be disappointed as long as
- 49:58Speaker 2: I'm not disappointed, because it's not on me.
