- 0:00SPEAKER_03: That men give the emotional so we can get the physical.
- 0:03SPEAKER_03: And women give the physical so they can get the emotional.
- 0:06SPEAKER_03: We men give um give love so we get sex, and women give give sex so they can get love.
- 0:11SPEAKER_03: But there's really something beautiful in that because there's this mutual beneficial relationship where we help each other stand strong, help each other in a covenant marriage.
- 0:19SPEAKER_03: And so I don't think that should be minimized, but at the end of the day, again, it's you looking inward at your responsibility, your role, your responsibility that God's given you in stepping up, stepping in.
- 0:34SPEAKER_03: All right, hey, welcome everybody back to the X-Mile Podcast.
- 0:37SPEAKER_03: I get the privilege to sit at the table today with my main man, our youth pastor here at the Florence campus, Pastor Ty Beckman.
- 0:44SPEAKER_03: Let's go.
- 0:44SPEAKER_00: Pastor Skate, what you got going on?
- 0:46SPEAKER_00: What's new?
- 0:46SPEAKER_00: Uh what's new?
- 0:48SPEAKER_00: What's new?
- 0:49SPEAKER_00: Um, I guess um getting ready for August turn two.
- 0:52SPEAKER_00: That's new.
- 0:53SPEAKER_00: Uh she's been one for so long.
- 0:55SPEAKER_00: I don't even know what what is the the terrible twos.
- 0:58SPEAKER_00: Like I don't know what what is in store for me.
- 1:00SPEAKER_00: Uh she hasn't been that terrible yet.
- 1:01SPEAKER_00: So she ain't two yet.
- 1:03SPEAKER_03: It's not terrible one, almost twos.
- 1:04SPEAKER_03: It's terrible twos.
- 1:05SPEAKER_03: So something about the two two mile marker, bro.
- 1:08SPEAKER_03: Excited about it.
- 1:09SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:10SPEAKER_03: That's uh that's a pretty big mile marker.
- 1:12SPEAKER_03: Proud of you and uh Morgan raising a great kid.
- 1:14SPEAKER_03: I mean, I was thinking something of uh the significance of LeBron James, Philadelphia, that season getting ready to start.
- 1:19SPEAKER_00: That's a pretty good idea.
- 1:20SPEAKER_03: And I just want to tell the people who watch this and who listen to this podcast how amazing my team is.
- 1:25SPEAKER_03: My staff blessed me with two tickets.
- 1:27SPEAKER_03: Let's go to watch LeBron James, my player, play at my favorite team, my home team, Cleveland Cavaliers.
- 1:34SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's like a double whammy.
- 1:36SPEAKER_03: You get Cleveland and you get the King.
- 1:38SPEAKER_03: I'm just saying everybody needs good friends in a good team, and I'm blessed with the best.
- 1:42SPEAKER_03: So thank thanks for your generosity.
- 1:43SPEAKER_02: There we go.
- 1:44SPEAKER_02: There we go, holding it down.
- 1:45SPEAKER_03: This isn't a sports sports podcast, but I have to say my uh Cleveland Guardians are also in the uh LCS um playoffs right now.
- 1:54SPEAKER_03: Yeah, they won their first game on the road.
- 1:56SPEAKER_03: Impressive stuff.
- 1:57SPEAKER_00: I'm feeling I'd love to see the guard dogs do it.
- 2:00SPEAKER_00: I guess some good players.
- 2:02SPEAKER_03: Oh.
- 2:02SPEAKER_03: So now we had a little bit of light conversation.
- 2:04SPEAKER_03: Let's dive in.
- 2:05SPEAKER_03: We had a big conversation.
- 2:06SPEAKER_00: It was not that light Sunday.
- 2:08SPEAKER_00: It was pretty heavy.
- 2:09SPEAKER_03: You know, um, if if you're watching this following, it's been having a conversation on spiritual warfare, which again is this big idea where Paul talks about that our battles, our real battles, the ones that matter the most.
- 2:18SPEAKER_03: They're not they're not physical, they're not with people, they're not with politics, they're not with, you know, all the things that we make it about.
- 2:24SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it really is a spiritual battle that we have an enemy who wants to deceive us and discourage us, distract us, do everything he can so we don't experience the life that Jesus came to bring us.
- 2:34SPEAKER_03: So um we've talked about who he is and how he works, we've talked about how we respond.
- 2:39SPEAKER_03: You know, last week we talked about, you know, this idea that God's given us weapons to use, God's given us strategies to run away, to not put ourselves in danger.
- 2:47SPEAKER_03: And going into the last message, you know, I had a different conversation.
- 2:50SPEAKER_03: And I'll just say this real quick um because I've always found this fascinating.
- 2:54SPEAKER_03: I was gonna talk about the end of Satan.
- 2:56SPEAKER_03: And just a quick recap, and you know this, his his end is what?
- 3:00SPEAKER_03: Where does he end up at?
- 3:00SPEAKER_03: He ends up in the lake of fire.
- 3:02SPEAKER_03: Yeah, so he loses.
- 3:03SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 3:03SPEAKER_03: And I don't know if he's just not convinced of that yet, or he's just fighting to take all that he can with him.
- 3:07SPEAKER_03: I think so.
- 3:08SPEAKER_03: But one thing that's fascinating to me is the Bible talks about this time, the Great Tribulation, and um, then there's gonna be a thousand years of peace called the millennial.
- 3:18SPEAKER_03: And during the millennium, um, this thousand years, man, Jesus is literally gonna reign on this physical earth.
- 3:24SPEAKER_03: And then the Bible says in Revelation, at the end of that time, Satan is gonna be released for a short time to deceive the nations.
- 3:31SPEAKER_03: And what's crazy to me is after people are gonna witness firsthand the rule and reign of Jesus as the king of all the earth for a thousand years, somehow they're still gonna be open to deception, which just tells me how good, how good Satan is at his job.
- 3:47SPEAKER_03: He's a really good deceiver, none of us are above deception.
- 3:49SPEAKER_03: No doubt.
- 3:50SPEAKER_03: So, man, the the way we fight that deception is again knowing God's truth.
- 3:53SPEAKER_03: That's that's how they defend.
- 3:55SPEAKER_03: No doubt.
- 3:55SPEAKER_03: So fascinated by that.
- 3:57SPEAKER_00: Yeah, no doubt.
- 3:58SPEAKER_00: Uh I'm not ready for a pre-trib, post-trib, you know, uh conversation because uh, you know, I think there's so many details that go goes into it.
- 4:08SPEAKER_00: But uh, if there's one thing I do know from my own experience in life and not just dealing with the sin that I used to struggle with and uh how my eyes are blinded, you know, that's what uh you you've taught so well from you know the platform here at Faith Church and for our staff, just that is the condition that we're all you know in before our eyes are open to the light of Christ, is it's almost like scales, you know.
- 4:30SPEAKER_00: I think about the Apostle Paul and just how in that moment of literal blindness and how that's a picture of our spiritual blindness that we all um we all exist with before Christ.
- 4:41SPEAKER_00: I deal with people uh from all walks of life, and it's not just teenagers, like we're I'm talking about grown men and women that are 40, 50 years old, and that those light bulb moments come on, they're like, What have I been doing, you know, for the past five decades?
- 4:56SPEAKER_00: And they they've just been living in the deception of Satan, and they they open themselves up to it because we do have a spiritual enemy.
- 5:03SPEAKER_00: And he and he is uh he he is good at accomplishing what his goal is.
- 5:08SPEAKER_00: Uh, but I believe there's one that's even more you know uh well accomplished, and that's Christ.
- 5:13SPEAKER_00: And he he wins over those that are far from him.
- 5:16SPEAKER_00: And so uh excited to have this conversation on being compromised.
- 5:19SPEAKER_03: Yeah, right.
- 5:20SPEAKER_03: So the good news is we know we're on the winning team.
- 5:22SPEAKER_03: Let's go.
- 5:22SPEAKER_03: Uh man, we're gonna we we are, I think we're gonna lose some battles along the way.
- 5:26SPEAKER_03: That's part of our spiritual journey.
- 5:27SPEAKER_03: The good news is we win the war.
- 5:28SPEAKER_03: Come on.
- 5:29SPEAKER_03: But man, getting ready to have that conversation, man, I really felt the Lord start laying some things on my heart to talk about still some of the things we wrestle with.
- 5:37SPEAKER_03: Again, the devil, he is the deceiver, he is our enemy, but he uses things of this world to deceive us, to distract us and discourage us.
- 5:44SPEAKER_03: And man, I just so a verse popped up to me and I started meditating on this, and man, God just gave me a whole new message, and it's the book of Job.
- 5:52SPEAKER_03: So at the end of the day, what is like if you could sum up the word the book of Job in a just a couple words, what's it about?
- 5:59SPEAKER_00: Uh things proverbially hit the fan.
- 6:02SPEAKER_00: That's right.
- 6:03SPEAKER_00: That's that's pretty much what happens.
- 6:04SPEAKER_00: You have this guy that's trudging along through life, pretty successful.
- 6:08SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you know, even in the words of God, he's like, Hey, have you considered my servant Job?
- 6:12SPEAKER_00: You know, if you're looking for somebody righteous, look at this guy.
- 6:14SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you know, and so uh he's just be bopping around.
- 6:17SPEAKER_00: It seems like he's honoring the Lord in some type of way, and the Lord's favor is upon him.
- 6:21SPEAKER_03: I mean, he's he's blessed, he's blessed with a great family, blessed with amazing kids, blessed with with herds and flocks.
- 6:27SPEAKER_03: And so every measurement at that time that you'd measure physical physical success, this guy's got his own.
- 6:32SPEAKER_03: He's wealthy, he's you know, and so I'm I'm thinking about his story because you know it's right in the beginning of Job that Satan appears before the Lord and says, Hey man, this guy, this guy right here, he's only serving you because you bless him so much.
- 6:46SPEAKER_03: And um, well, actually, God's the one who brings up, have you considered my servant Job?
- 6:50SPEAKER_03: That's right.
- 6:50SPEAKER_03: He's he throws out the point, yeah, he's only serving you because you've blessed him.
- 6:53SPEAKER_02: Yep.
- 6:53SPEAKER_03: And so basically, God takes some of the barrier off of Job's life and says, I'm I'm gonna give Satan, I'm gonna give you a little, I'm gonna give you a little leeway and test my servant Job.
- 7:02SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 7:03SPEAKER_03: And so really the book of Job is about testing faith.
- 7:05SPEAKER_03: No doubt.
- 7:06SPEAKER_03: And how do you respond during testing times?
- 7:08SPEAKER_03: And our test is tested the most, our faith is pushed the furthest when Satan is pushing the hardest.
- 7:13SPEAKER_03: No doubt, no doubt.
- 7:14SPEAKER_03: And so what we find is man, he shows up in in Job chapter one, kills all of his flocks, all of his herds, wipes out his home, kills his kids.
- 7:23SPEAKER_03: I mean, this guy faces more than most of us could even possibly imagine.
- 7:26SPEAKER_03: In very short order.
- 7:29SPEAKER_03: And then you turn the page, you get to chapter two, and then the enemy strikes him physically, strikes his physical body with sickness, which just FY, the devil can move that way.
- 7:38SPEAKER_03: And um, we know that's true because not only is he afflicting Job with sores all over his body, but in the New Testament, there's people who are physically afflicted.
- 7:47SPEAKER_03: No doubt.
- 7:47SPEAKER_03: And when a devil's cast out, they're free of their physical affliction.
- 7:50SPEAKER_02: That's right.
- 7:50SPEAKER_03: But here's the point I wanted to make is in the middle of all this, you have to ask yourself obviously Job loves the Lord.
- 7:57SPEAKER_03: How do you think he felt losing everything, losing his his herds, his flocks?
- 8:03SPEAKER_03: I mean, I imagine he was distraught.
- 8:05SPEAKER_03: What he needed at that moment was someone in his corner to champion his faith, to encourage him on.
- 8:10SPEAKER_03: And you know what he gets?
- 8:11SPEAKER_03: Here it is, Job 2 9.
- 8:13SPEAKER_03: His wife said to him, Are you still maintaining your integrity?
- 8:16SPEAKER_03: Curse God and die.
- 8:17SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 8:18SPEAKER_03: Hey, there's my there's my good thing.
- 8:21SPEAKER_03: Not so good.
- 8:22SPEAKER_03: I mean, how do you think how do you think Job felt already that low being kicked by his wife?
- 8:27SPEAKER_03: Do you think that helped him or hurt him?
- 8:29SPEAKER_02: I mean, the obvious answer is, you know, is don't kick a man whenever he's down, you know.
- 8:33SPEAKER_00: I feel like she just uh afflicted more injury to what is already like probably an internal struggle because Job's got to be searching for himself like, did did I dot all the I's did I cross all the T's?
- 8:44SPEAKER_00: Like that would be, you know, for me if I'm in Job's seat.
- 8:48SPEAKER_00: Now, I obviously, you know, I don't know if I would feel the same way, you know, Job might have in that moment because I'm so quick to be like, yeah, like if anything kind of comes my way, you know, I I can look at my sinful nature, not that there's you know retribution and things like that, like God doesn't operate that way.
- 9:05SPEAKER_00: But, you know, I think in the broken and fallen world that we are so keen to understand, you know, from our side of the curtain, like we know that uh that's a reality.
- 9:15SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 9:15SPEAKER_00: Um, but with all that being said, I think I I would be so disappointed, you know, needing someone that could stand in the gap, yeah, could build my faith, could speak life in a situation where I'm experiencing death, but instead, you know, kick the man whenever he's down.
- 9:31SPEAKER_03: And you know, the Bible tells us in Hebrews chapter three that we're to encourage one another daily.
- 9:35SPEAKER_02: No doubt.
- 9:36SPEAKER_03: So we need encouragement, we need it daily.
- 9:39SPEAKER_03: And the Bible says the reason we need that is so we're not we don't grow hard in our hearts.
- 9:43SPEAKER_03: And so here is Job going through absolutely the worst thing that I could I could imagine.
- 9:48SPEAKER_03: He loses everything.
- 9:50SPEAKER_03: And um the person who's closest to him, the person who has the most access to his heart, the person who has the greatest capacity to be the difference maker in his faith is the one that comes and really pulls him down instead of pulling them up.
- 10:02SPEAKER_03: And so, man, I just started to think about that.
- 10:04SPEAKER_03: And my conversation that we had Sunday was really this idea of hey, we all know what peer pressure is, it's the people out there that maybe may pull us down, but we have to be aware that it's the people in here, it's the people in our circle, which is our family.
- 10:18SPEAKER_03: And man, my family loves me.
- 10:19SPEAKER_03: I would say they would want the best for me.
- 10:21SPEAKER_03: So this is not that we're trying to hurt each other, though sometimes we do.
- 10:25SPEAKER_03: Yep.
- 10:26SPEAKER_03: I think the reality is sometimes we can hurt each other's faith unintentionally.
- 10:31SPEAKER_00: There's no doubt about it.
- 10:32SPEAKER_00: Um, you know, whenever you kind of laid out the parameters for which we were gonna be speaking, my, you know, my eyes are kind of open because, you know, I see on the screen back behind you, and I know you're not real big on like, hey, write down the title of my message, but this idea of being compromised from the inside, you know, a lot of the times we think interpersonally.
- 10:49SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 10:49SPEAKER_00: You know, like, hey, how am I doing, you know, keeping the the pressures at bay, you know, for my myself.
- 10:57SPEAKER_00: But really, I think some of those voices, they're so strong and people don't even realize, like, and that's a good thing.
- 11:04SPEAKER_00: That's a good thing that you are looking to uh other brothers and sisters in the Christ, your peers.
- 11:09SPEAKER_00: It's it's good that you should be, you should be running to your spouse thinking that that person's gonna help me withstand the storm, they're gonna be beside me in the fire, and we're gonna get through this thing together.
- 11:20SPEAKER_00: And then parents obviously, you know, whenever you started talking about those three different kinds of layers of of really what is our entity, you know, if you think about it, your friends and your family, they they're so much integrated into our life that if you do not consider them a part of your spiritual journey, I think that's where you're gonna be blindsided and you you won't even realize how weak you are because of the people you have kind of around you.
- 11:45SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I mean, they're close enough to us that I think our our family for sure, and our closest friends, they can even unintentionally and us unwillingly be affected in a very negative way, our faith be impacted, or they could be the game changer to push us through a difficult season.
- 12:01SPEAKER_03: And so, you know, I think the and here's here was really the goal, and I want to dig into for a few minutes.
- 12:05SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 12:06SPEAKER_03: I'm not pointing fingers at other people.
- 12:07SPEAKER_03: Yeah, my goal is, and this is how I handle any kind of counseling when someone comes to see me.
- 12:12SPEAKER_03: When a husband comes and wants to complain about his wife, I talk to the husband about how he's doing.
- 12:16SPEAKER_03: What kind of man are you?
- 12:18SPEAKER_03: You know, I think we always need to take first personal responsibility before we look at the how other people are achieving your responsibility.
- 12:24SPEAKER_03: And so I didn't talk to wives and let husbands off the hook, like, hey husbands, judge your wives.
- 12:29SPEAKER_03: It's hey wives, judge yourselves.
- 12:31SPEAKER_03: Yep.
- 12:31SPEAKER_03: And hey husbands, judge yourselves, and hey parents, judge yourselves.
- 12:35SPEAKER_03: And so so we had this really I knew it was gonna be tough.
- 12:38SPEAKER_03: I had a lot of guys pretty, pretty excited that I had the conversation for the first half of the message.
- 12:43SPEAKER_03: Yeah, for the first half, and then they got kind of quiet.
- 12:44SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and then the women got you know, women got pretty excited.
- 12:47SPEAKER_03: So we talked about this idea, Paul uh Paul points in Colossians three, and man gives basically the parameters of a godly family.
- 12:54SPEAKER_03: And I just went through three of the four for just a couple minutes.
- 12:57SPEAKER_03: I want to build us, especially because you're our youth pastor, I want us to hit the one we didn't get to hit.
- 13:01SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 13:02SPEAKER_03: But basically, man, we start off with wives, and we had a conversation that Paul has, and he and I'm gonna just sum it up, I don't have time to read it here.
- 13:08SPEAKER_03: But basically, he says, Hey, you live in an incredibly sexually immoral world, which is still true today more than ever.
- 13:15SPEAKER_03: 100%.
- 13:16SPEAKER_03: And the solution to sexual immorality is finding a great wife and a husband, a husband finding a great wife and a wife finding a great husband.
- 13:22SPEAKER_03: Yes, and in the context of a covenant marriage, then meeting each other's sexual needs.
- 13:27SPEAKER_01: Correct.
- 13:28SPEAKER_03: Which is, and he gets into some difficult language that it's not like, hey, if you feel like it and you don't have a headache and you've not worked hard all day, but like, hey, wives, your husbands have real sexual needs.
- 13:39SPEAKER_03: And it uses the word because again, we live in a culture, especially in Christianity, like you don't need sex.
- 13:45SPEAKER_03: Well, that's not what Paul says.
- 13:46SPEAKER_03: Paul says you need to meet their, you, you need to fulfill their sexual needs.
- 13:51SPEAKER_00: And I think the reason that is is because we want to water down our role and responsibility, you know, because if it's a desire, well, keep your desire at bay.
- 14:00SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you know, but I think whenever you let's let's just call a spade a spade and quit dancing around it, you know, in the Christian, like in the the con the conversation that you're hearing in culture, you know, as you you brought up many times, like it is highly sexual.
- 14:15SPEAKER_00: But then whenever Christians start talking about it, it's like, oh, it's so taboo, but we water it down, and we that's almost like that's too explicit that we would consider that needs, but let's just get into the physiology of these things.
- 14:28SPEAKER_00: Like, there are reasons why our bodies were designed the way they were with the attractions that we have, and you know, more moves that we have.
- 14:35SPEAKER_00: I mean, you know, like I I just think, you know, your conversation that you were having on Sunday just about, you know, you you shouldn't run to the store whenever you're hungry, you know, and that there is, you know, and that is not to minimize or to point fun.
- 14:48SPEAKER_00: That's just to talk about the reality here.
- 14:50SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 14:51SPEAKER_00: Um, and as someone that's you know, I got married fairly young, you know.
- 14:55SPEAKER_00: You you married us back whenever I was 23 and Morgan's 21.
- 14:58SPEAKER_00: And that's that's fairly young for today's standards.
- 15:01SPEAKER_00: You know, people wait until they're 30.
- 15:03SPEAKER_00: Uh, and there's no shame in that game, like rock and roll.
- 15:06SPEAKER_00: But um, I think there is some of this so beautiful because now those needs are are being met.
- 15:11SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you know, I remember the conversation we had in come on.
- 15:14SPEAKER_00: I remember the conversation we're having in school ministry.
- 15:17SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 15:17SPEAKER_00: And like I was like wrestling.
- 15:18SPEAKER_00: I've told so many people this.
- 15:19SPEAKER_00: So this is why I think this will be beneficial to talk about just for a small moment for this, okay?
- 15:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 15:23SPEAKER_00: Um, I talk to these young adult couples that are trudging through.
- 15:29SPEAKER_00: We're talking like three and four years of dating and hanging out.
- 15:33SPEAKER_00: And should we should we start living together?
- 15:35SPEAKER_00: Should we not, you know?
- 15:37SPEAKER_00: And I try to tell them, like, no, like, do you not see like the apostle Paul saying, if you are burning with these types of lusts, this is your way out.
- 15:45SPEAKER_03: That's right.
- 15:46SPEAKER_00: And I remember you you explained that to us, and I'll I was like having an epiphany.
- 15:50SPEAKER_00: I was like, what am I doing here?
- 15:51SPEAKER_00: And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, like, how long are you gonna continue going down this path?
- 15:57SPEAKER_00: And I remember calling you that night.
- 15:58SPEAKER_00: I was like, Pastor, should I go get a ring pop tomorrow?
- 16:00SPEAKER_00: You know, and you're like, go ahead, you know, let it rip, Tater Chip.
- 16:04SPEAKER_00: I think is what you told me.
- 16:05SPEAKER_00: You know, and um, you know, I I hate whenever I'm having to sit across these tables and there's so much reservation from people whenever there's a clear prescription.
- 16:15SPEAKER_00: That's right.
- 16:16SPEAKER_00: That scripture is giving us a way for those needs to be met in a God-honoring way.
- 16:21SPEAKER_00: It's not that we shouldn't keep our, you know, you you addressed that so beautifully yesterday.
- 16:26SPEAKER_00: Um, I'm not saying that you you addressed it better than you have in the past, but you made it so explicitly clear yesterday, like this is not a cop-out for all you'll be like, well, I'm not married.
- 16:34SPEAKER_00: So I get to just know that isn't that's sin.
- 16:38SPEAKER_00: That is sin, that's perversion, that's you allowing the enemy to come in and steal, kill, and destroy.
- 16:42SPEAKER_00: But I just I I hate having those conversations and just being like, Man, would you please just open yourself up to a little bit of conviction from the word?
- 16:51SPEAKER_00: That's right.
- 16:51SPEAKER_00: Can we suppress it so well?
- 16:53SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I would um one of the things I didn't have time to talk about Sunday, I just mentioned it was a need, but the difference between a desire and a need, because there's a difference, and the word talks about desires and not always in a positive way.
- 17:04SPEAKER_03: Correct.
- 17:05SPEAKER_03: And here's Paul talking about a need.
- 17:06SPEAKER_03: What's the difference?
- 17:07SPEAKER_03: The difference is they both really are desires, but a need is a God-given desire.
- 17:12SPEAKER_03: Yep.
- 17:13SPEAKER_03: And a desire in a in a fleshly way comes from our flesh.
- 17:16SPEAKER_03: So one comes from God, one comes from our flesh.
- 17:18SPEAKER_04: Yep.
- 17:19SPEAKER_03: And um, obviously, we don't want to fulfill our fleshly desires, we want to fulfill our godly desires, and our godly desire to be intimate is done in the context of marriage.
- 17:28SPEAKER_03: And that's that's where we break the godly desire down to a fleshly desire is we still have sex, but we do it with people we're not married to.
- 17:34SPEAKER_03: So again, this is the conversation is, and this is husbands to wives and wives to husbands.
- 17:39SPEAKER_03: Your responsibility is to meet your spouse's sexual needs.
- 17:44SPEAKER_03: And that helps us in a an ungodly, sexually saturated culture.
- 17:48SPEAKER_03: And specifically, and this is why this is a spiritual um warfare conversation, he says, Hey, if if you're if you're separated sexually for a long season, he says, basically, your Satan's gonna be able to tempt you.
- 18:00SPEAKER_03: It's an open door for the enemy to come and tempt you.
- 18:03SPEAKER_03: Now, I made this point, and I heard a lot of people say, Pastor, thank you for making this distinction.
- 18:08SPEAKER_03: I said this while while to wise, while they're not responsible for your fall, they are responsible to help you stand.
- 18:14SPEAKER_03: So, like if your wife is not meeting your needs the way you feel like she should, that's no excuse for you to step out on your wife.
- 18:20SPEAKER_03: That's no excuse for you to go to pornography, that's no excuse for you to get into an affair.
- 18:24SPEAKER_03: And you can't say, Well, if my wife had more sex with me.
- 18:26SPEAKER_03: No, you're responsible for your personal integrity and your walk about.
- 18:30SPEAKER_03: But God has given us the solution to stand strong, and that is a wife that's willing to meet our sexual needs and we're willing to meet hers.
- 18:37SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 18:38SPEAKER_00: That's so good.
- 18:39SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 18:39SPEAKER_00: I mean, I think about, you know, whenever you even brought up the conversation yesterday, and as I was kind of thinking through like what could I bring to the conversation?
- 18:48SPEAKER_00: I think a lot of us, whenever we get the notification on our phone, or maybe, maybe you don't, and that's even more of an indicator, but you get the the notification on the phone that a password's been compromised.
- 18:58SPEAKER_00: Like, we're so quick because we don't want our data stolen.
- 19:01SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 19:01SPEAKER_00: But, you know, the worst thing that, you know, it's kind of like the conversation, like, who should you fear more?
- 19:06SPEAKER_00: Should you fear the person that can steal your dad or the one that can throw your soul into hell?
- 19:10SPEAKER_00: You know, there should be a healthy fear that we have.
- 19:12SPEAKER_00: And whenever it comes to scripture, like there is something being stolen from us.
- 19:16SPEAKER_00: Uh, because I put down here that the passwords get compromised and data stolen.
- 19:21SPEAKER_00: Our bodies get compromised whenever we from the inside out, whenever we're eating all this junk food and the double stuff Oreos you were talking about yesterday.
- 19:28SPEAKER_00: You know, we're eating all those things, and then we say things like this that someone suddenly dies, they didn't suddenly die.
- 19:33SPEAKER_00: You know, there's there's been so many deposits of negativity and compromise um uh principles or whatever it might be from the inside.
- 19:41SPEAKER_00: But in our faith, whenever that gets compromised, uh we we continue to live, but we aren't alive.
- 19:47SPEAKER_00: You know, and that's been your biggest conversation with our church.
- 19:49SPEAKER_00: And I I just keep going back to this well because it's so true that you know, we want people to experience victory here.
- 19:56SPEAKER_00: And you cannot experience that if you're just going through with this bondage, this this baggage, this brokenheartedness that so many people are walking through our doors with and they sit through sermons, they they're hearing the word of God being preached yesterday, and yet they they're alive.
- 20:12SPEAKER_00: Yeah, their ears are still on their head, but they're they're not allowing their soul to listen to it so that their spirit can come alive.
- 20:19SPEAKER_00: And, you know, that's that's just been my prayer for our church is that so many more people start walking that victory, and uh we can we can put away, you know, this compromise.
- 20:28SPEAKER_00: That's right.
- 20:29SPEAKER_00: Uh and and you know, I just think it's so funny time and time again in scripture, you know, even with with Judas, right?
- 20:35SPEAKER_00: It was a compromise, an agreement.
- 20:38SPEAKER_00: That's what compromise means.
- 20:39SPEAKER_00: It means you're you're meeting in the middle, and we shake the hand with the devil, and we wonder why it is that we get the repercussions from that.
- 20:45SPEAKER_00: That's right.
- 20:46SPEAKER_00: Um, just because it sounds good on the front end, but uh the two definitions for compromise you're making an agreement and you're being put into jeopardy.
- 20:53SPEAKER_00: And what we don't realize, whenever we make a compromise with the devil, we are putting our faith, our family, our future in jeopardy because God He wants to get glory out of our lives.
- 21:03SPEAKER_00: That's right.
- 21:03SPEAKER_00: We just got to be awake to it.
- 21:05SPEAKER_03: That's right.
- 21:06SPEAKER_03: So I want to transition to the second part of this, but I want to end this by again, just a reminder that wives, women, you you hearing this message, again, you might be offended for me to say, hey, you need to meet your husband's sexual needs.
- 21:17SPEAKER_03: Again, I'm just saying what Paul said.
- 21:19SPEAKER_03: I'm saying really what Jesus said because this is his word.
- 21:21SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 21:22SPEAKER_03: And it really is part of the solution of your husband maintaining sexual integrity.
- 21:26SPEAKER_03: You have the power to help him stand strong, and even in his faith, and to minimize the temptation of the enemy.
- 21:32SPEAKER_03: And if you're wrestling with some maybe emotional issues or some physical issues, man, I would encourage you to go talk to a doctor.
- 21:39SPEAKER_03: Maybe it's something small physically that could be altered in your in your hormones or whatever that could change your sex life, change your marriage, and really change change your husband's battle.
- 21:49SPEAKER_03: And um, number two, if if you're if you're maybe looking at your how your husband and saying, like, hey, if he would do more, if he would start, then I would start.
- 21:57SPEAKER_03: I would say again, you take personal responsibility for.
- 22:00SPEAKER_03: you correct um holding out on your husband withholding sex doesn't fix anything it just makes things worse yep i said sunday i said you can't make you can't fix marriage problems by multiplying them yeah correct withholding sex from your husband doesn't make is not going to want to make him be more romantic or be a better leader you're just making the marriage worse so it's good so then we talked about husbands this is where it got quiet on the other side I had men shout me down but then we said hey men you got a responsibility too no doubt you not maintaining your responsibility in the home you're opening up your wife and you're opening up your home to the temptation in me and we talked about um not tempting our kids to wrath yeah not provoking them and we talked about just being primarily the spiritual head I'm I'm curious maybe out of the two husbands not being the spiritual head of the home or maybe being too aggressive um not disciplining correctly where what do you think is the bigger issue right now?
- 22:50SPEAKER_00: Yeah I think uh the first you know that is you know there's just a lack of spiritual leadership there's a lack of courage to rise to that occasion um you know again toxic max max um there we go masculinity there it was uh that it's just like this term that's thrown around like and guys are almost paralyzed you know I think and um it's we just say well here take it then yeah you know and then if you're not leading spiritually you're not leading maybe in the financial realm of your house and you know I know a lot of people that that deal with that you know I've even uh struggled you know in times before feeling like that and I think that is that is the thing that is if we could figure out how to gain that spiritual authority again within our homes yeah our homes would start to thrive.
- 23:40SPEAKER_00: That's right because it's going to not only just impact the wife it's going to impact your kids it's gonna impact anybody that's supposed to be coming into your home too because um I think they'll reflect that they'll look and say like why are they able to operate this way?
- 23:52SPEAKER_00: Why is there mutual submission you know and I just think that would be um that'd be a massive win for the context of our church but also be just you know a win for the church at large.
- 24:05SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 24:05SPEAKER_03: You know for us to find our role as as spiritual leaders again that doesn't mean we make all the decisions exclusively alone.
- 24:11SPEAKER_03: No we are the Bible says that to become one Akkad is a Hebrew word.
- 24:16SPEAKER_03: Yeah it's the same word that's used to describe God and that the prayer of the Shema that they would pray Jews would pray every day behold the Lord our God is one.
- 24:23SPEAKER_03: It's akkad it's three in one we're two in one so it doesn't mean we rule over our wives and they're under our foot and we no no no they're God took Eve from our rib from the side but in the hierarchy of authority God has mandated men to lead spiritually and studies show a time and time again even outside the church women want wives want a husband that's going to lead they find comfort in that they find conviction in that they find clarity in their role in that and far too many times they're doing their role and doing the man's role and so I would just say this to men man that when you're not leading your home spiritually somebody is and you're either putting too much weight on your wife to do too many things which nobody can do too many things or that spiritual leadership is a vacuum in your home and it is a place for the enemy to come and to fill it with his authority and his direction and man that's just not going to end well.
- 25:12SPEAKER_00: Yep.
- 25:13SPEAKER_00: And you know it's kind of like the other day whenever you're kind of closing the message you said there's four types of uh you know husbands there's four types of wives there's four types of parents and you know you might be wanting to touch on this a little bit later on but maybe I could just hear your perspective from for me you know it seems like you know the the passive might be better than the harmful and maybe the helpful might be better than the passive but really all of them fall short of God's standard.
- 25:39SPEAKER_00: That's right.
- 25:39SPEAKER_00: He wants us to be godly husbands he wants to be godly wives he wants to be godly parents and so I think sometimes we say well I'm not I'm not harmful I'm not harming them yeah but your passivity is leading to the same it maybe not the same kind of harm yeah but it's still if it's not great if it's not godly then it's not good.
- 26:01SPEAKER_03: Yeah we talked about um and and we will we'll circle back on that too but I'm glad you brought it up but you know again Adam the the reason humanity fell God gave a standard and ask and and expected Adam to follow his standard you can eat from any tree except this tree.
- 26:15SPEAKER_03: Yeah and uh Eve wasn't there when God got God gave Adam that mandate Eve came along later and it was Eve that was first tempted by Satan and then Eve gave the fruit to Adam and he took it and he should have stood his ground and I said this that it was Adam's absence that opened the door for the enemy's presence there's no doubt.
- 26:32SPEAKER_03: And people are like well he was there well he was right there but he was absent spiritually there's no doubt his his leadership was not there.
- 26:38SPEAKER_03: And so really because he was passive he wasn't present.
- 26:42SPEAKER_03: Yeah and so I think we got a lot of men in homes we have unfortunately homes without a father but a lot of you listening this you go to church and you are present in your home but you're passive and you're not the leader God's called you to be and going back to what you said about the four kinds I think we got a lot of good dads.
- 26:58SPEAKER_03: We have a lot of good husbands but the difference between good and godly is the difference between obedience and disobedience like God doesn't want you to be a good dad that works a hard job, brings home a paycheck and hey I put I put a roof over their head and food in the refrigerator.
- 27:10SPEAKER_03: That's a good that's a good dad and a good husband.
- 27:13SPEAKER_03: God wants you to lead your family spiritually God wants you to take the authority he's given you and lead your children and lead your wife into a path of further bringing glory to God.
- 27:21SPEAKER_00: Yeah I think we gotta we have got to guard everything that calls us away yeah um you know like you you mentioned career and hobbies yesterday and saying like if you want to be a godly man you've got to give at least if not more attention to your wife as you do your career and your hobbies and I I know what the pushback's gonna be well how can we make the ends meet if I'm spending all this time with my wife you know like I I can hear the pushback I can hear it even within me I'm like dude I can't imagine you know and maybe this is wrong but I can't imagine going on a four and a half five hour date you know and I know that seems like Morgan might even be listening to this like hey what the heck you're saying that but I'm trying to be I'm trying to keep it real here like mentally you might think well if I go play a round of golf that's four and a half hours of my life and you know as I was kind of praying about this yesterday whenever I stood up you know to respond you know uh because here here's a little side note you know Pastor Steve said that he was getting preached to all week by the Holy Spirit and you know I was getting preached to the same way you know no pastors no staff members at a church are alienated from the word of God and renewed.
- 28:31SPEAKER_00: And so I I just felt this in my spirit yesterday that you can make up for quantity of time with quality of time.
- 28:39SPEAKER_00: And I've found that even since you you preached that message yesterday Morgan and I we've we have tried to spend more quality time like not just how you know it's the five love languages I'm checking the box.
- 28:51SPEAKER_00: I I did this quality thing like but for real just being intimate and present with one another in the concept of our home and outside the context of our home and we have found you know already you know in just what has it been three days Sunday you know Monday and then today Tuesday um being able to just already experience the favor of of God's blessing on our marriage from just three short days of maybe I'm not spending hours and hours and hours and hours because but you're intentional.
- 29:22SPEAKER_00: But you're intentional.
- 29:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah you know it's not the minimize you know time you know you should do that but you should be spending that like not on your phone not distracted.
- 29:30SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 29:31SPEAKER_03: Yeah it's again it's a challenge because at the end of the day we're selfish people oftentimes and your number one responsibility besides your relationship with Christ is your spouse.
- 29:40SPEAKER_03: And so you know so if you're looking at it wise and you're like if my husband would if he would start his role I'll start mine or husband's if she would start her role I'll start mine.
- 29:48SPEAKER_03: You know, really the way God wired us to work and this is really how it functions and our relationship shouldn't be transactional but really it ends up being that way that men give the emotional so we can get the physical and women give the physical so they can get the emotional we men give um give love so we get sex and women give give sex so they can get love.
- 30:07SPEAKER_03: But there's really something beautiful in that because there's this mutual beneficial relationship where we help each other stand strong, help each other in a covenant marriage and so I don't think that should be minimized but at the end of the day again it's you looking inward at your responsibility your role your responsibility that God's given you and stepping up and stepping in and shouldering the weight and so you know I just would encourage I would encourage women again that your job is to give your husband uh at least the same amount of attention and affection that you give your kids and grandkids.
- 30:38SPEAKER_03: If at the end of the day you're wiped out you're wore out and you just got to go to bed you can't forget your number one responsibility and that's your husband and men it's your job you know I know you love your career and your calling and your hobbies but you need to give your wives the same attention um that you know that you're given hobbies and careers.
- 30:55SPEAKER_03: And you said golf now you're a golfer and we got a lot of golfers on staff.
- 30:59SPEAKER_03: It's easy to go once or twice or three times a week and go spend yeah you know 40 50 60 bucks yeah in four or five hours if you're hitting some golf balls.
- 31:09SPEAKER_03: And I would just ask men listen to this if you're a golfer when was the last time you spent$75 and five hours of your time with your wife?
- 31:17SPEAKER_03: Yeah that's it's right there.
- 31:18SPEAKER_03: You know but I just a great ask yeah so so again the goal of this is now I'm not trying to condemn people.
- 31:25SPEAKER_03: I want us to look inwardly at how are we doing it the responsibility God's given us because here's what they need to hear is if you're falling short of your responsibility not only you not bringing glory to God, you're exposing your wife you're exposing your husband you're exposing your family to a direct attack of the enemy.
- 31:41SPEAKER_00: And you know you had this statement in I I don't you might have it already um able to be pulled up but you just encourage us in this art of spiritual warfare right we're trying to figure out the art of war you know your biggest encouragement for us as we're closing down the day is just don't you know do everything within your power.
- 31:59SPEAKER_00: Yeah you know beseech the throne of God so that you do not become a weapon.
- 32:03SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 32:03SPEAKER_03: And my question to you Pastor was you know if you were to do a quick inventory what is your top indicator that you have become this weapon that the enemy can use I mean it's it's easy for me uh two things as a young father I remember disciplining out of frustration disciplining out of an empty tank disciplining disciplining out of more anger than out of hey they've done wrong and I need to help correct them I just was frustrated and uh that's exactly what Paul says when he says hey man don't don't don't tempt your kids to wrath don't provoke them to anger don't discourage them and um and for my wife it's easy man I I know when I'm meeting my wife's needs and when I'm not there's no doubt and uh so when I when I begin to allow my life to be so overwhelmed with other emotional weight that I don't have time to give her emotional investment she don't even need to say anything.
- 32:51SPEAKER_03: So you know I think if you're close enough to your spouse you know right away when you're meeting their needs or not and if if you can if you know you're not meeting their needs I would just want to encourage you to step up and if you're not sure let me tell you there's one person that can tell you how you're doing and you're not gonna want to ask because you don't want a hard conversation but one of the best things I would encourage couples watching this to do is to ask your spouse, hey how am I doing?
- 33:13SPEAKER_03: How am I doing how am I doing meeting your needs?
- 33:15SPEAKER_00: And it's scary but accountability is so fruitful.
- 33:20SPEAKER_00: It is I mean like saying hey how am I doing you're you're open yourself up to get a potential tongue lashing here.
- 33:28SPEAKER_03: I mean you know would you would you rather be dis would you rather be deceived by a lie or would you rather be encouraged with the truth you know I don't want to continue to walk in a lie if it's going to destroy my marriage or at least keep it from being what God wants it to be I would rather be I mean this is hard to say I'm honest I yeah there's part of me that doesn't want it but I would rather be sucker punched in the gut with a truth bomb you know hey Steve you're not you're not doing what I need you to do you're not stepping up I'd rather my feelings be hurt my faith be strengthened mic drop so that's where I so here's what I want to maybe end the conversation with I talked about and we won't get into it here I just want to encourage people to listen to the message we talked about more about parents and kids but I want to talk about what we didn't have a chance to talk about and that is Paul does give in the context of a godly family hey wives this is your role to husbands husbands this is your role to wives parents this is your role to kids but kids have a role and a responsibility of guarding the integrity of their parents and guarding the temptation of the enemy on their parents by how they by how they walk and how they live and he says this he says hey kids um he says your goal is to honor your parents yes I want I want to read it he says in Colossians chapter three he says um verse one and he says children obey your parents in all things for this is well pleasing to the Lord and he goes on in Ephesians and he says hey this is the first command with promise that you might live long in the land and so man you're a you're a youth pastor you're dealing with lots of kids um what would you say what do you think Paul is trying to communicate to to kids not just kids but children which you're children no matter how old you are if you're if your parents are still alive you're a child you're a child what do you feel like God's God's trying to communicate to us as far as our responsibility to honor our parents specifically when it comes to helping guard them against temptation.
- 35:21SPEAKER_00: Yeah so we we have been you know in the youth office we have been dealing with this super big conviction uh getting ready for 2027 you know like you encourage us always be prepared you know so the big conversation we'll have so spoiler alert to any parents or or students that are listening to this podcast this is coming down the road so I'm not gonna spill all the beans but here's the overarching idea is that there is a role for every person in the house but what is the role for the children?
- 35:50SPEAKER_00: That's the question.
- 35:51SPEAKER_00: Yeah because teenagers need to know what is your role you tell us all the time you're not gonna be successful unless you know what your role is your role.
- 35:58SPEAKER_00: Stay in your lane.
- 35:59SPEAKER_00: Don't be trying to like be the parent you know that's where we're yeah kind of cross that line the conversation we've been having is the role of the child is the honor role.
- 36:09SPEAKER_00: We talk about it all the time we want to be on the A B honor roll.
- 36:12SPEAKER_00: We want to make good grades well how do you make good grades at home you honor where you're supposed to you honor your pastor you honor your coaches you honor your teacher with the honor they they deserve you know for God placing them in authority over you.
- 36:27SPEAKER_00: And so the conversation we've been having is how do you honor your parents one of the ways you honor them because let's just I'm I'm trying to keep it honest here.
- 36:35SPEAKER_00: This is the extra mile you want to go the extra mile here we go that a lot of parents right now they're kind of asleep at the wheel hands are not on the steering wheel and the foot is not on the accelerometer.
- 36:46SPEAKER_00: We are the the discipleship vehicle is not really moving the way it needs to in the homes one of the best things you can ever do as a child and honor your parents is honoring them to the accountability that they they need to walk in because that's what's going to help safeguard them is whenever a kid says hey mom could mom dad like what what have you been learning in scripture like can you help me?
- 37:10SPEAKER_00: You know I I want to I've been dealing with this so the role of the the student and and the the child uh whether or not it's from faith kids all the way till they're 18, they're moving out of the house and you had you already had your chance to parent.
- 37:24SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 37:25SPEAKER_00: What we've been trying to figure out is how do we get them to understand what honor really even is honor is placing weight.
- 37:32SPEAKER_00: So we place weight on a lot of different things.
- 37:35SPEAKER_00: And so we've been trying to get them to understand that if you can place weight upon the most important part of your life which is your faith we try to get them to understand the things that you see smell taste touch all the the senses whenever those are engaged those are important things not mitigating those but it's really important the most important part of you is being developed.
- 37:55SPEAKER_00: That's why Apostle Paul says training for you know physical training you know that's that that serves a purpose but training for godness has benefits in this life and the one to come and so the goal of the parent is to be number one discipleship first discipleship above discipleship above ball discipleship above relationships and family gatherings like if there is not this this cultivating of the faith then you're gonna see wayward sons and daughters unfortunately and so that is the role I think of of the the students of the children is to obey so they've got to be looking for the instruction they got to be looking for the discipleship.
- 38:35SPEAKER_03: Yeah so you're saying they they can't obey if they don't know what to obey bingo.
- 38:38SPEAKER_03: Yeah that what is there to obey you know so I mean I think that's a man that's a really great thought man parents have to set the standard and they have to set the standard spiritually again not be a good parent be a godly parent that's a man that's a great thought um you know I think I I just want to make maybe start closing this down with just leaning just a little harder here again because I I want people to understand again what is your role so again wives they want to look at their husbands husbands want to look at their wives parents want to look at their kids well you know if my kid would listen to me.
- 39:07SPEAKER_03: No, no no how how are you parenting man you're tempting your child to wrath there's no doubt.
- 39:11SPEAKER_03: And again I I think you you're you're right in some of your estimation of the responsibility of parents being a godly example that their kids can submit and can serve and can honor.
- 39:20SPEAKER_03: But it doesn't say hey honor your mother and father if they're doing these things you honor them no matter what you honor them no matter what the distinction I would want to encourage every child if you're 40 years old and your parents are still alive you're still the child I think it's honoring maybe not always the person but the position.
- 39:35SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 39:36SPEAKER_03: And a great example I think that would help people understand this is when our political party's in office, we love the president and we speak of high honor and really we love the person.
- 39:47SPEAKER_03: And if the person of the opposite party's in pos in power like you know man we badmouth him and we show no honor, no respect.
- 39:54SPEAKER_03: At the end of the day if you like Joe Biden or not he was the president of the United States he was our 100% he was our commander in chief and if you didn't agree with his policies he you he still deserved the honor of the office he walked about it.
- 40:08SPEAKER_03: And um and God's word says hey man we honor those who rule over us and um the same thing's true if you don't like Trump like I'm not saying you could I mean by all means disagree with his policies but you should still honor the position of the president of POTUS.
- 40:21SPEAKER_03: And I think what God's saying is hey I put people in your life that have authority you don't that you're called to submit to and you don't get to pick and choose who you submit to because you do or don't like the person it's the position.
- 40:34SPEAKER_03: And so to me part of honoring our mother and father is saying they're in a position of authority over me therefore I need to submit to who they are even if I don't always like them as a person.
- 40:44SPEAKER_00: And I think this is best exemplified through David and Saul you know like he was called to serve in the king's court.
- 40:51SPEAKER_00: And it wasn't you know till till Saul fell on his own sword what did David do?
- 40:56SPEAKER_00: Even afterwards whenever people's like hey here's the head of Saul like check it out like aren't you so proud he's like no I'm not I'm not because that was the king.
- 41:03SPEAKER_00: That's right.
- 41:04SPEAKER_00: And so he honored even though there was not even like a godly representation there.
- 41:10SPEAKER_00: And so I believe what that does because think about the patience and the patience of God that was on Saul to have a chance to repent and who are we to be the the person to say I'm gonna take vengeance or I'm not I'm not honoring them.
- 41:23SPEAKER_00: Now if your parents you know again we always give this caveat if your parents telling you smoke meth with them okay you don't have to honor that request that's right you know but use godly wisdom but please steward godly honor.
- 41:36SPEAKER_03: That's the conversation you we we honor to the level of until it becomes sin.
- 41:42SPEAKER_03: So you know if if what our parents are asking us to do takes us into a place that dishonors God, well we honor God first but if they're not asking you to do something, you know, man so again here's the goal is if if kids were more submissive and and honoring their parents would would would have a little less temptation to lose their temper to be frustrated to be discouraged.
- 42:01SPEAKER_00: And they would rise to the occasion.
- 42:02SPEAKER_03: Man because the enemy's in their ear and and and and parents I would tell you man you know regardless of how your kids are behaving you guard your you guard your patience you guard your self-control and don't allow your frustration to spill over into your kids and open the door for temptation and anger in their lives and again wives I want to tell you man you've done a great job this week because I've got a lot of emails and a lot of people saying hey Pastor I had a great night last night and I feel like I owe it to you I'm just here just here to tell you in the right we're we're gonna close it down with this in nine months we're increasing the children's ministry here at Faith Church.
- 42:34SPEAKER_00: The attendance is going up now we're on a 10 month that's right.
- 42:39SPEAKER_03: Well hey listen man thanks for tuning into the X Mile podcast again this I know this is a tough conversation but I just would encourage you man to hear what is your role in the home what is your responsibility to God and if you'll walk in it you will help guard the integrity of your parents you'll help guard the integrity of your children and your spouse and ultimately you will close the door to the temptation of the enemy in a very powerful way that only you can do if you'll fulfill your role.
- 42:59SPEAKER_03: That's good.
- 43:00SPEAKER_03: All right thanks for joining us we'll see you guys next week
