- 0:01Hey everybody, welcome to the good morning from the Chicken
- 0:04Coop podcast. My name is Kim Johnson and I am
- 0:07a mastermindset coach, creative strategist, and also happen to
- 0:10be a farmer. This is my chicken coop and I
- 0:12come out here every day to record a podcast to teach
- 0:16distinctions, possibilities, new ways of thinking, and just bring
- 0:20some joy into the world. So welcome to the coop, and
- 0:23let's start your day off in a fantastic way.
- 0:28Hey everybody, good afternoon. Because I'm at the chicken coop
- 0:31in the afternoon and I'm out here with all the girls.
- 0:34They're having their snack. And I just finished up a call
- 0:37with a client and I've been working on a special project
- 0:40with all of my clients recently helping them create ChatGPT
- 0:46assistance for whatever business they're in.
- 0:49And there is a way to build your, if you pay for the service
- 0:52of ChatGPT, you can build a GPT that understands your business.
- 0:57And then it helps you with marketing, which is incredibly
- 1:00important for all the entrepreneurs that I coach.
- 1:03And most of my clients, the majority of my clients are
- 1:08entrepreneurs, own their own businesses, whether they're
- 1:10lawyers, doctors, whatnot. They are all in this place of
- 1:14being very entrepreneurial. So we're working on building out
- 1:18these GPTS. And they have an assignment
- 1:21where I have given them this questionnaire that they have to
- 1:24fill out. And it is fascinating to me.
- 1:28Not surprising, but fascinating to me because I expected it to
- 1:31be this way, but just fascinating.
- 1:34How many of them have trouble articulating what makes them
- 1:38different and what makes them stand out and why they're unique
- 1:42and why somebody should use them over someone else?
- 1:46It's one of the hardest things for me.
- 1:48It was an incredibly hard thing to figure out when I was really
- 1:53jumping in and coaching. I knew, but I wasn't marketing
- 1:57myself. People were coming to me by word
- 1:58of mouth. So when I decided to do the
- 2:01website and started to, you know, really market my content,
- 2:05my books, my stuff, it was very, very hard for me to do this
- 2:09exercise. Now, I was not creating a GPTI,
- 2:12was just trying to figure out who the hell I was.
- 2:14And I ended up going into a coaching program myself now
- 2:18because my coach and I worked on this, but I still felt like, OK,
- 2:22I feel like I'm missing something a little bit.
- 2:24So we decided there was, there was this person that I had
- 2:26worked with many years ago and he had he was a media specialist
- 2:31and he had a way of kind of helping people delineate their
- 2:35message. And I went into his program to
- 2:37try to help me. And when I finished the program,
- 2:40the ironic thing about the whole thing was I said, well, I know
- 2:44what I don't want to do moving forward, but that was that was
- 2:48good to me. Like I spent a ton of money on
- 2:51it, but I knew what I didn't want to do.
- 2:53And my coach and I laughed about it.
- 2:54He's like, well, I guess that is clarity on some of them.
- 2:56And I was like, for me, it's total clarity because just
- 2:58knowing what I don't want to do is just as important as knowing
- 3:01what I do want to do. So moving forward, I had to
- 3:06figure this out on my own and I had to keep coming back and
- 3:10going through things. One of the greatest helps that I
- 3:12got was from reading Donald Miller's book Building a Story
- 3:15Brand. If you have not read the book, I
- 3:18highly highly recommend the book Building a Story Brand Donald
- 3:22Miller and really getting clear on the messaging.
- 3:26But this took me a boatload of time and a round the like.
- 3:31I felt like I was going, you know, Dosey doeing back and
- 3:34forth trying to figure it out. It took a hot minute to get
- 3:38there. And when I say that I really
- 3:40mean it took me probably about 6 to 8 months because I kept
- 3:46changing it and nothing felt. It felt good, but it didn't feel
- 3:49solid. It felt like it was still wonky
- 3:52and I had to find my voice in it.
- 3:55So when this came up to create a GPTI was ready for that exercise
- 4:00for myself. And I wanted to have a virtual
- 4:04assistant in this so that I, I, I mean, I still have humans.
- 4:08However, I really wanted to have one that can sit and pitch and
- 4:11catch with me. So I created one for myself.
- 4:14And then I, when I realized I could do this at this level,
- 4:17then I really got into it because I have a client who's
- 4:19really into it too. And the two of us nerded out for
- 4:21a very long time. And I, I got the process down
- 4:25and then I wanted to do it for all my clients, of course.
- 4:28Like, why would I not want them to have this too?
- 4:30So as we were, as we were going through this, I realized how
- 4:34difficult and challenging it, it, it is for me a super
- 4:43important part of the puzzle to be able to have that connection
- 4:50with yourself and understand that.
- 4:52And most people don't get it. And I know how long it took me.
- 4:55So I put the questionnaire together and I sent it out to
- 4:59them at the end of the year and they were working on it and they
- 5:04were working on it and they were working on it.
- 5:05And now we're going through it individually, person by person.
- 5:09If you don't know what your wow factor is, no one else is going
- 5:12to know. If you can't figure out how to
- 5:17articulate what makes you unique and different and valuable to
- 5:21work with, no one else is going to be able to know that.
- 5:26You can't expect people to live into something that you don't
- 5:29know and believe yourself. And that that is the part that's
- 5:33so critical with this. So the challenge is what is what
- 5:37is it that if you were creating this and if you and if you want
- 5:40to it's it's a, it's a simple process.
- 5:42You go on to ChatGPT. It has to be a paid version and
- 5:45you go to the upper right hand corner and hit create and it
- 5:48takes you right to a screen where you can create a GPT and
- 5:52you just have to give it information so it knows it about
- 5:55you. So what are you going to tell
- 5:56it? What would you tell the GPT
- 5:57about you? It knows nothing and it's
- 5:59waiting for you to educate it. So what would you say?
- 6:02It's a great question. So try to work on it because I
- 6:05promise you it will really enlighten your world.
- 6:08All right, my friends, I hope you have a blessed day and I
- 6:10will see you all tomorrow. Bye.
