- 1:00Speaker 4: They want to talk about racism. Man, what a money maker.
- 1:07Speaker 4: The three things that make money in the media is racism, sex,
- 1:14Speaker 4: and Trump. Those are the three things you wanna You
- 1:19Speaker 4: want to get something out there, you want to start
- 1:21Speaker 4: a podcast, you want to get your name known. Make
- 1:24Speaker 4: you an article around one of those three things, and
- 1:29Speaker 4: you have a great chance of climbing to success. That's
- 1:32Speaker 4: how this country works right now. We can insert those
- 1:35Speaker 4: three things into any area of life. We can do
- 1:41Speaker 4: it in a classroom where the teacher is twerkingh.
- 1:48Speaker 1: Huh huh.
- 1:48Speaker 4: Oh see now a church. Don't want to say I'm saying.
- 1:53Speaker 4: I see, I'm gonna be on me, but talk to me.
- 1:56Speaker 1: Take your time. Take you talk to me. I guess
- 1:59Speaker 1: I freiate. Okay, take your time. You're talking to the fuse. Class.
- 2:05Speaker 1: Let's pull the video up. Commands you great.
- 2:07Speaker 4: Clap clap, clap clap. She right there in class A
- 2:11Speaker 4: like a like. You can be talking about the difference
- 2:14Speaker 4: between red apples and yellow apples and somebody can insert Trump.
- 2:21Speaker 4: You don't know why, Hey man, I think them yellow
- 2:25Speaker 4: apples are sweeter than the red man. Donald Trump said that.
- 2:30Speaker 4: Hold on, man, don't let magi apples ruin your day.
- 2:34Speaker 4: You know those apples red apples were made in a
- 2:37Speaker 4: Maga staked. We were just talking about the sweetness of that.
- 2:42Speaker 4: You see where I'm going right, We can we can
- 2:44Speaker 4: assert certain things and natural racism. Hey man, you know
- 2:51Speaker 4: that bottle order come from West Virginia.
- 2:55Speaker 5: West Virginia. Didn't they donate it to the Maga campaign?
- 2:59Speaker 5: You hot dressing with racist I'm just here to preach,
- 3:06Speaker 5: the preacher. I'm here to tell you come magic grant.
- 3:09Speaker 5: We can insert those three things most of the subjects
- 3:12Speaker 5: you're on. At some point he's gonna loop into one
- 3:16Speaker 5: of those three things. In this country, why we're like that.
- 3:21Speaker 5: It's like watching a sports show. At some point they
- 3:24Speaker 5: gotta get it back to the King.
- 3:26Speaker 1: They gonna get in there. They're gonna figure out how
- 3:28Speaker 1: to slide it in. Man, they ain't played in a.
- 3:32Speaker 4: Week boy, if anything, any any kind of they can,
- 3:36Speaker 4: they're gonna put it in there. On the women's side,
- 3:38Speaker 4: they do it with Caitlin Clark, just fit it in.
- 3:42Speaker 4: Polar Rice, Indiana ain't even playing tonight, but they just
- 3:47Speaker 4: sit it in there. But these guys are hot on
- 3:50Speaker 4: Ryan Clark, and I guess something went out about Ryan Clark,
- 3:54Speaker 4: the ESPN, former LSU Tiger, former stealer, former red Was
- 4:00Speaker 4: he when he was there?
- 4:01Speaker 1: Were they the Redskins? Right?
- 4:03Speaker 4: That's what I thought when I saw it in my head.
- 4:05Speaker 4: I saw him when they the chief on the helmet.
- 4:10Speaker 4: Now we know him as the commanders his comments. Now
- 4:14Speaker 4: I'm reading right here. I hadn't heard Ryan Clark's version.
- 4:17Speaker 4: But Ryan says that he did not make those comments.
- 4:22Speaker 4: He doesn't know how he got roped into as though
- 4:29Speaker 4: he made the comments of boycott, excuse me, boycotting the
- 4:35Speaker 4: SEC with election and different states, as they say, are redrunk,
- 4:41Speaker 4: which rejoining the lines of voting registration has been going
- 4:45Speaker 4: on for years, which you get to do any every
- 4:47Speaker 4: ten years, regardless of who's in the house. But now
- 4:53Speaker 4: we see it in everybody's making videos. Somebody sent me
- 4:56Speaker 4: something from I think d L Hugh Glee, and it's
- 5:01Speaker 4: just so now it's attacking the SEC Southeastern Conference, trying
- 5:07Speaker 4: to get athletes to boycott going there, Lane Kiffin and
- 5:11Speaker 4: his comments and people taking his comments a step too far.
- 5:15Speaker 4: He did say a part of it, and then everybody
- 5:17Speaker 4: added words something that we love to do in this country.
- 5:23Speaker 4: We can add our version trying to get right. Lane
- 5:28Speaker 4: just melts the butter in the in the pan the
- 5:30Speaker 4: center ourselves. He just put the butter in the pan. Ingredients,
- 5:37Speaker 4: just said melt butter step one, and I went to
- 5:40Speaker 4: adding things into the rest of paprika.
- 5:43Speaker 1: You got to have some of dobo.
- 5:44Speaker 4: From what I've read, and maybe you guys, as we
- 5:47Speaker 4: talk about this, you can show me where and maybe
- 5:50Speaker 4: I haven't read the part that the bad producer was
- 5:52Speaker 4: alluding to before the show. From what I read now,
- 5:56Speaker 4: head coach Lane Kiffin had comments about Old Miss where
- 6:03Speaker 4: he said that it's easier to recruit black athletes to
- 6:09Speaker 4: LSU than Old Miss because when the kids come on
- 6:15Speaker 4: the recruiting trip to Old Miss, even though they like it,
- 6:18Speaker 4: their grandparents and parents sometimes have a fear of Mississippi,
- 6:24Speaker 4: so they kind of the state of Mississippi already has
- 6:27Speaker 4: a kind of stigma. It's still one of the states
- 6:32Speaker 4: that stand out in people's mind. For some reason, they
- 6:36Speaker 4: let the other twelve off the hook. Let's move on
- 6:42Speaker 4: to something.
- 6:43Speaker 1: No no, no, no, no, no, no no no. Take
- 6:46Speaker 1: your times, get the collection, play listen, y'all don't want to.
- 6:54Speaker 4: Y'all don't want to do this today. I can tell
- 6:56Speaker 4: y'all Mississippi the only state stuff you know well well
- 7:02Speaker 4: to with the heat of a pressure Mississippi that was out,
- 7:08Speaker 4: uh Louise. You know, the state of Indiana. It's is
- 7:14Speaker 4: almost like I'm saying, it's ground might be ground zero. Tennessee,
- 7:21Speaker 4: the state which is not included in the thirteen. No,
- 7:24Speaker 4: but it might be ground zero. It's where the clan
- 7:27Speaker 4: started White but Tennessee. But we skip all over that.
- 7:30Speaker 4: Then we live here in a state that they had
- 7:33Speaker 4: to burn down.
- 7:34Speaker 1: From where's the clan from Indiana? Yeah, so I ain't
- 7:41Speaker 1: thinking about sir right now.
- 7:42Speaker 4: Thank you, sir. I was waiting for someone else. The
- 7:45Speaker 4: comedian of the clan was in Pulaski, Tennessee. But the
- 7:49Speaker 4: inception of the Klan of the Klan trust me as
- 7:53Speaker 4: a person from the Midwest, and we deal with these
- 7:57Speaker 4: and then we put everything as Mississippi is the face
- 8:00Speaker 4: of everything. And that's what Lane Kiffin alluded to because
- 8:05Speaker 4: first and foremost, when you go bottom, you have a
- 8:09Speaker 4: diverse That's how Louisiana is a diverse state at that
- 8:13Speaker 4: part regardless, because that was where the trade came. Those
- 8:17Speaker 4: are where the boats came. That's where the port was.
- 8:21Speaker 4: New Orleans is a mixture of five or six. They
- 8:24Speaker 4: just throw everything in. The cow came from Spain. The
- 8:28Speaker 4: chicken came from They just threw everything and they called
- 8:30Speaker 4: it gumbo.
- 8:31Speaker 6: They call it.
- 8:33Speaker 1: You weren't nice about this. That's why we mad the
- 8:38Speaker 1: Sarshi came from the Carolinas at this but what and
- 8:48Speaker 1: that's not get on the tar hill.
- 8:50Speaker 4: You know, we live in the city. They had to
- 8:52Speaker 4: burn down to get the casite. They had to burn
- 8:55Speaker 4: y'all just ain't gonna give up. See, y'all ain't gonna
- 9:00Speaker 4: I told you how they already surrendered up in Virginia.
- 9:03Speaker 7: Right.
- 9:05Speaker 1: Virginia, but you know.
- 9:12Speaker 4: In the city that they didn't. Those comments and you guys,
- 9:16Speaker 4: let me know the commings. I saw that Lane Kiffin,
- 9:19Speaker 4: who was at Old Miss, he's been around the SEC.
- 9:22Speaker 4: He's a young coach. He's had a lot of success early.
- 9:25Speaker 4: His dad was a great defensive coach Lane Alabama. He
- 9:30Speaker 4: was the offensive coordinator there for two or three years.
- 9:32Speaker 4: He was able to take it. You know, after USC Tennessee,
- 9:39Speaker 4: Ole Miss. Now he's at l s U, he's at
- 9:42Speaker 4: Florida ATLAN a couple of years. He's moved around the South.
- 9:46Speaker 8: Uh.
- 9:47Speaker 4: And those comments from what I read, if you've seen something,
- 9:50Speaker 4: if you hit us up, let us know. That's more
- 9:54Speaker 4: of what I saw that Lane had to say. I
- 9:59Speaker 4: was you're hustling early and right before the show came on,
- 10:03Speaker 4: I know, the bad producer. And he even owned it.
- 10:05Speaker 4: He wasn't sure if it was true, but people were
- 10:08Speaker 4: adding different things that Lane. Lane was talking about recruitment
- 10:12Speaker 4: and how the kids, parents and grandparents already are leary
- 10:18Speaker 4: of the state. Regardless of what he was doing at Ole,
- 10:23Speaker 4: miss You say Mississippi, a certain image comes up into
- 10:28Speaker 4: people's mind slavery, poor education, kind of a state that
- 10:35Speaker 4: got abandoned in a sense by a lot of people.
- 10:39Speaker 4: That Kenny went to college there, so he knows a
- 10:41Speaker 4: lot about it, more than I do. But these are
- 10:44Speaker 4: some of the comments I heard. He was trying to
- 10:46Speaker 4: make it in a recruiting it was easier to recruit
- 10:49Speaker 4: and Baden Rouge. Baden Rouge has HBCU called Southern in it.
- 10:55Speaker 4: Quite sure that helps with the diversity. Not forget it
- 11:01Speaker 4: being in the state, because Mississippi has HBCUs in the
- 11:06Speaker 4: state replete with but l s U. Actually you just
- 11:12Speaker 4: it's your little job. You can walk to their HB
- 11:16Speaker 4: to their HBCU from l s U. Just walk right
- 11:19Speaker 4: over there. So a little different, a little different because
- 11:24Speaker 4: you know Tyler l F s U and and fam
- 11:26Speaker 4: you but it's it's a little it's a little ride
- 11:30Speaker 4: the fam from Florida State, whereas Southern there is just
- 11:34Speaker 4: really just walk over there, cranking up your car and
- 11:38Speaker 4: trying to find somewhere to park.
- 11:39Speaker 1: Right, you just walk.
- 11:41Speaker 5: They actually scout Southern's players from their balcony. Now, I
- 11:46Speaker 5: like that guy right there, and we're gonna sign them next.
- 11:48Speaker 5: Watch their practice from there. Yeah, they watch it right.
- 11:51Speaker 5: Just look through the fence. They just hold on to
- 11:53Speaker 5: the chain League fence and look through. But we'll come back.
- 11:56Speaker 5: The guys are ready. Command. She got the hair blown
- 11:59Speaker 5: out today. I see I see you late night cocaine.
- 12:02Speaker 1: I was about saying that, don't scream banks. Okay, Okay,
- 12:07Speaker 1: it doesn't Hey man, we'll be back more to show
- 12:10Speaker 1: right after this. It's no judgment. I think you're judging me. Yes,
- 12:15Speaker 1: don't dance, don't hold the ball, don't bowl.
- 12:28Speaker 9: Wayne Born of the Sports John Show with Wayne dam

- 14:51Speaker 1: All the sports jocksh just taken it to a completely
- 14:54Speaker 1: different level this.
- 14:55Speaker 13: Year where we highlight an apolte that has taken their
- 14:57Speaker 13: game to the next level.
- 15:24Speaker 4: Welcome back to this one shock shower from the swor
- 15:26Speaker 4: shock Wing Candy comment you Greg, the bad producer, the
- 15:30Speaker 4: funny man himself, Big Kenny in the building. One thing
- 15:33Speaker 4: we didn't do on live show I need to do
- 15:36Speaker 4: and make sure I get it done is to send
- 15:39Speaker 4: our thanks and condolences to Bobby Cox passed away, the
- 15:46Speaker 4: great Braves manager. And when you put the body of
- 15:51Speaker 4: work where Bobby did for the Braves, just one of
- 15:56Speaker 4: the great managers of all time. Dinn't when he did
- 16:01Speaker 4: not win as many championships as a lot of us
- 16:04Speaker 4: felt like some of those teams he had should have.
- 16:08Speaker 4: But what a great run he had. And he gave
- 16:12Speaker 4: you about what eighty five years, Yeah, gave it to
- 16:18Speaker 4: you on both ends. I got me a lot of
- 16:19Speaker 4: years in and I performed in them. And a legendary
- 16:24Speaker 4: manager that we must recognize. The Braves are playing great
- 16:28Speaker 4: baseball this season, as they said, no ego and not
- 16:33Speaker 4: playing in you know, and I'm gonna talk about that
- 16:35Speaker 4: later about playing his teams instead of playing as one
- 16:40Speaker 4: man shows. But Bobby Cox, similar to as we talked
- 16:46Speaker 4: about Ted Turner, there's two monuments in this city for
- 16:50Speaker 4: the impact they had on the region. Bobby Cox passing away,
- 16:57Speaker 4: was it eighty five? I get that right, eighty five Cocks.
- 17:03Speaker 4: Guys know, I don't want to cheat eighty four. I
- 17:06Speaker 4: don't want to cheat who was in his eighties he
- 17:10Speaker 4: eighty four, eighty four would have been eighty five next Thursday.
- 17:15Speaker 1: Bobby, Bobby, come on, man, he's right there.
- 17:19Speaker 4: You got to make everybody do the math because on
- 17:22Speaker 4: the tombstone is gonna have twenty twenty six on it,
- 17:27Speaker 4: but it's gonna in the broch you or in the
- 17:29Speaker 4: eighty four years, it's gonna say eighty and you're gonna
- 17:31Speaker 4: sit there like hold on is a week away? Come on, Bobby,
- 17:35Speaker 4: you had it in you dig it out, dig it out.
- 17:39Speaker 1: Come on, slide, Bobby, slide, Come on, Bobby, come on, man,
- 17:44Speaker 1: slide in the home by the scale of base.
- 17:46Speaker 4: And as you know here on the Sports Shock Show,
- 17:49Speaker 4: I celebrate people's lives. Yeah, man, get long life in
- 17:54Speaker 4: and you actually left that your name will come up
- 17:57Speaker 4: in a positive way. People have will recognize your name.
- 18:02Speaker 4: They'll have to tell your story and a positive light.
- 18:05Speaker 4: Bobby Cox did that and his family can find peace
- 18:10Speaker 4: and people can rejoice. You really can go to the
- 18:12Speaker 4: repast and have a genuine conversation about man. David Justice
- 18:19Speaker 4: and Tom Glavin can get them and remember Bobby, I'm.
- 18:23Speaker 1: Sorry about Knobby.
- 18:26Speaker 4: Remember he was in there playing the Yankees and he
- 18:28Speaker 4: came in there drunk and have genuine joy, you know,
- 18:33Speaker 4: my sad moment. I don't think that happens for a
- 18:36Speaker 4: lot of people. Now there's a lot of whispers, and
- 18:40Speaker 4: you know they put you in and go to talking
- 18:42Speaker 4: about other stuff that had nothing to do with you.
- 18:45Speaker 1: That's all you did. I had a very sobering man,
- 18:49Speaker 1: you know, old me five and I had a very
- 18:52Speaker 1: soberings die my own.
- 18:55Speaker 4: Owing me my five hundred dollars. I need to talk
- 18:57Speaker 4: to his mama about that. That kind of conversation.
- 19:00Speaker 1: That's and sports jock man, he's gone now let him know, man,
- 19:04Speaker 1: he owe me five hundred dollars. And we own that.
- 19:08Speaker 1: That looks that that looked like his daughter right next ding.
- 19:12Speaker 1: You know, your daughter getting everybody the sins of the
- 19:15Speaker 1: father right right there, right there, just sitting there because
- 19:18Speaker 1: by he didn't live by the cops like I had
- 19:22Speaker 1: a sobering experience, went to pay respects to all people.
- 19:29Speaker 1: I didn't raise my hand like Bobby with where the
- 19:33Speaker 1: Bobby Cox. Usually when people pass away, they say they
- 19:36Speaker 1: give him them there. You know, people encourage you to
- 19:38Speaker 1: give flowers while they're living. But uh, a comedy comrade passed.
- 19:44Speaker 1: Went to his funeral packed church and only two people
- 19:47Speaker 1: from the comedy world showed up, myself included, and we
- 19:52Speaker 1: were kind of like, I thought that there would be
- 19:54Speaker 1: more love from comedy.
- 19:56Speaker 9: You know.
- 19:57Speaker 1: He was part of the kickball world, and they packed
- 19:59Speaker 1: the church all the way to the front door.
- 20:01Speaker 5: But only two comedians showed up. And it starts one
- 20:05Speaker 5: to wonder, like, what kind of person were you to
- 20:08Speaker 5: everybody else that.
- 20:11Speaker 9: You know?
- 20:11Speaker 1: Of these three hundred seats, we only took up two
- 20:15Speaker 1: of them. So, yeah, you're the only two that he
- 20:17Speaker 1: didn't own. Money too complicate it, Yeah, of some kind
- 20:23Speaker 1: of the one that's at the church, and it's not
- 20:26Speaker 1: a family member. I ain't going down. Man helped me
- 20:30Speaker 1: three hundred.
- 20:31Speaker 5: I had somebody said about another dude, Man, I ain't.
- 20:33Speaker 5: I wasn't going He messed my money. I had a
- 20:37Speaker 5: real good deal going and he messed the whole thing up.
- 20:39Speaker 5: You thought I was coming to that funeral.
- 20:41Speaker 1: You crazy Bobby cox Uh passing away at a two
- 20:47Speaker 1: week shot basically of eighty five Bobby slide. He should
- 20:52Speaker 1: have stole that base. Come on, Bobby, you could have
- 20:55Speaker 1: watched the signals and stole that little base.
- 20:57Speaker 4: I don't know the history of the Braids, but for
- 21:00Speaker 4: what I would imagine Bobby has to be the greatest
- 21:03Speaker 4: Braves manager, and he's probably the.
- 21:07Speaker 1: Anyone knows and sports job I took. There's nobody in
- 21:11Speaker 1: the seventies that's gonna pop up like I mean, I
- 21:14Speaker 1: think he was.
- 21:15Speaker 14: He had two different tenures because he managed them in
- 21:20Speaker 14: the seventies, they and then in the early eighties they
- 21:25Speaker 14: Ted Turner fired him, hired Joe Tory, they won the division,
- 21:30Speaker 14: and then after a couple of years fired Joe Tory
- 21:35Speaker 14: brought Bobby back. I think he was a GM also
- 21:37Speaker 14: at one point as well, so and he's definitely in
- 21:41Speaker 14: the fabric.
- 21:42Speaker 1: Of so you're saying Ted had to put Bobby in
- 21:45Speaker 1: his place. There for me feeling itself and comany and
- 21:49Speaker 1: drumks and Bobby had a Jerry and Jimmy relates. You
- 21:55Speaker 1: said that he a lot of people feel like he
- 21:57Speaker 1: didn't win as many championships as he should have, And
- 22:01Speaker 1: I think that kind of hits my ears wrong, because
- 22:05Speaker 1: who are we to say how many championships athlete? Because
- 22:09Speaker 1: we talk about that in sports all the time. Oh man,
- 22:12Speaker 1: you should have And you know, I ain't never played baseball,
- 22:16Speaker 1: so I don't know what a pool of talent maybe
- 22:20Speaker 1: it has everything to do with the mindset. Now the
- 22:22Speaker 1: braves are trying to play as one and eliminate evils.
- 22:26Speaker 1: We want a lot of bitness.
- 22:27Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, Bobby, great manager. We'll be back more to
- 22:30Speaker 4: Sports Jock Show right after this.
- 22:36Speaker 9: I got that, I got that. That don't go Awayne
- 22:47Speaker 9: Born of the Sports John Show with Wayne Gandy is
- 22:50Speaker 9: coming up next.
- 22:52Speaker 15: Nobody had to tell your grandparents not to drive all
- 22:55Speaker 15: using their typewriters, Why should it be any different for
- 22:59Speaker 15: us kids and our cell phones. Distracted driving was the
- 23:02Speaker 15: cause of more than three thousand deaths in twenty twenty two.
- 23:06Speaker 15: Come on, we're smarter than this.
- 23:08Speaker 1: Let's put down the phones and focus on the roads.
- 23:11Speaker 1: Drive safe, everybody, don't drive distracted.

- 23:28Speaker 1: do have one question for the veterans listening. When was
- 23:31Speaker 1: the last time you reached out for help?
- 23:35Speaker 11: If you or someone you know needs resources, whether it's
- 23:38Speaker 11: for stress, finances, employment, or mental health, don't wait reach.

- 24:57Speaker 13: the sports John Wayne Gandy.
- 25:03Speaker 1: The Radzo.
- 25:18Speaker 12: I'm your idle the highest title. I'm not a Puerto Rican,
- 25:21Speaker 12: but I'm speaking so that you know and understand. I
- 25:24Speaker 12: got to give the speech and it's a blessing. So
- 25:26Speaker 12: listen to the lesson I preached.
- 25:28Speaker 1: I talked since walk back to this Woys Shock Shah.
- 25:30Speaker 4: I'm with sport Shock Wing. Can'ty Good morning to you
- 25:33Speaker 4: out there and listening. Lane glad to be here with you.
- 25:37Speaker 4: The gangs all here. We've talked about Bobby Coss, gave
- 25:40Speaker 4: him some love. We talked about Lane Kiffin. Did you
- 25:44Speaker 4: guys get enough Lane Kiffin? Or was there something else
- 25:47Speaker 4: you needed to I'm just laughing. I'm just laying the
- 25:50Speaker 4: LSU coach doing a press conference last week making comments
- 25:55Speaker 4: about recruitment and how he actually said easier to recruit
- 25:59Speaker 4: black layers to the state of Mississippi. I mean LSU
- 26:04Speaker 4: baton Rouge where he is now versus being at Old
- 26:09Speaker 4: miss and not that the kids in the facilities are
- 26:13Speaker 4: completely different, but more of the stigma that the state
- 26:18Speaker 4: seems too. I think even calling it ol Miss is
- 26:22Speaker 4: a reference to old Mississippi, Oh Mississippi or something like that,
- 26:27Speaker 4: or the ladies the old plantation own their wives or
- 26:31Speaker 4: something like that from back in the day. But we
- 26:35Speaker 4: ran Johnny Ray of off.
- 26:37Speaker 5: Yeah, and now they're the Sharks, which which has no
- 26:40Speaker 5: I don't understand that. But I think this is my
- 26:44Speaker 5: last thing about Lane kiffern Is honestly think that. To me,
- 26:50Speaker 5: it's smacked of pandering in that he hit coached at Tennessee,
- 26:56Speaker 5: it coached at Alabama, he had coached at Ole Miss
- 27:01Speaker 5: and now he's at LSU. And as someone who was
- 27:04Speaker 5: raised in the north and migrated south, when you tell
- 27:09Speaker 5: a parent, a grandparent, any of those states my child
- 27:15Speaker 5: going to the red light goes off of concern, they're
- 27:20Speaker 5: no less concerned about Alabama than they are Mississippi, Louisiana
- 27:25Speaker 5: and Tennessee. To a Chicago in the same thing, you
- 27:30Speaker 5: just hung in a different state. And that's what it
- 27:33Speaker 5: meant to all of it.
- 27:34Speaker 1: I may ask you this, though, if this is Lane's truth,
- 27:37Speaker 1: though being at four or five schools and in this role,
- 27:41Speaker 1: they they most worried about Mississippi in this and that's what.
- 27:44Speaker 4: I'm saying because the one thing we I hope that
- 27:48Speaker 4: the sports media and media completely gets around to is
- 27:51Speaker 4: where people can step up to a mic and be
- 27:54Speaker 4: honest without being crucified. No, and if in his five
- 27:58Speaker 4: four or five stops, if he's realized, you know, went home,
- 28:02Speaker 4: told his wife, you know, this recruiting trip, this recruiting time,
- 28:07Speaker 4: nobody asked me about racism. Well, and it could have
- 28:14Speaker 4: been a refreshing moment where I just spent three four
- 28:17Speaker 4: years at a school, or even like you said, Alabama,
- 28:19Speaker 4: or the places at Tennessee where one of the parents
- 28:23Speaker 4: came into the room and was talking about whether that's
- 28:29Speaker 4: ignorance of Louisiana or just that when you go to
- 28:33Speaker 4: New Orleans, like when I went to play for the Saints.
- 28:35Speaker 4: I had been to New Orleans before, but until I
- 28:37Speaker 4: lived there, I had a different perspective because when you
- 28:42Speaker 4: go there as a traveler, you go there, you don't
- 28:45Speaker 4: see the dark side of Vegas. When you go to Vegas.
- 28:49Speaker 4: When you go to Miami, most people go to South Beach.
- 28:53Speaker 4: They don't go to the Trick Daddy Liberty City part
- 28:58Speaker 4: over there.
- 28:59Speaker 1: They don't.
- 28:59Speaker 4: We go to Manhattan, when we go to New York,
- 29:02Speaker 4: that's where most people in the bronx of where they go.
- 29:07Speaker 4: That's their experience of that city. So it's same thing
- 29:13Speaker 4: as I'm saying with Lane. I'm hoping he was doing this.
- 29:16Speaker 4: I want to believe he was just being honest. Like, man,
- 29:19Speaker 4: you know I didn't get any I had twenty kids
- 29:21Speaker 4: in here and none of the parents referenced. Because that
- 29:26Speaker 4: does make your heart bleed from Mississippi that for some
- 29:29Speaker 4: reason they got hung with the shingle of the most racist.
- 29:35Speaker 4: And I don't I haven't studied it to say who's
- 29:38Speaker 4: witch stayed or win. We don't even have a lot
- 29:40Speaker 4: of history, right, Remember everybody white or black, everybody wasn't
- 29:45Speaker 4: writing and reading. Well, they may show you the movie.
- 29:49Speaker 4: They may show you the movie. Like only the slaves
- 29:53Speaker 4: didn't write. There were you know, owners wouldn't write either.
- 29:58Speaker 4: They everybody couldn't write and read it. They were just
- 30:00Speaker 4: kind of learning. They could talk, right, we can all
- 30:04Speaker 4: have bad producing got a thousand words and he part
- 30:07Speaker 4: of Remember we had that little thing where he was
- 30:08Speaker 4: part of some club. He couldn't spell the name.
- 30:10Speaker 1: Of its nights to Pathagoras, So.
- 30:14Speaker 4: People being parts of things that they can't even you know,
- 30:17Speaker 4: we'll go ahead, bad producers.
- 30:19Speaker 1: No, I was just gonna say that people have they
- 30:22Speaker 1: they have inserted also to the point that they feel
- 30:25Speaker 1: the last week or so that everything that happened with Lane,
- 30:28Speaker 1: with the fan the fan base, that's the way why
- 30:31Speaker 1: he's even feeling in that manner, because you wasn't feeling
- 30:34Speaker 1: like that when you was on the campus, even though
- 30:36Speaker 1: like explaining what you saying, Hey, I'm gonna tell I'm
- 30:39Speaker 1: gonna bring him here, it's gonna be all right, we're
- 30:42Speaker 1: here in Oxford, whatever, but you don't you didn't feel
- 30:44Speaker 1: like that until that How you got that treatment that
- 30:47Speaker 1: last week or two when they found out you were leaving,
- 30:50Speaker 1: then they showed you okay.
- 30:52Speaker 5: And I wasn't saying he was pandering because of that.
- 30:56Speaker 5: My main thing was to your point that if you
- 31:00Speaker 5: want to get notary, if you want to be noticed,
- 31:06Speaker 5: if you want notoriety, insert one of the big three Trump, racism,
- 31:12Speaker 5: or sex. We're coming up on recruiting season, and of
- 31:18Speaker 5: all the things that I have problems that in other places.
- 31:23Speaker 5: I remember when I was at Ole, miss Man, it
- 31:25Speaker 5: was hard and it made you know, Now, we didn't
- 31:28Speaker 5: talk about graduation rates, we didn't talk about anything else
- 31:31Speaker 5: but the racism. And it's in response to the redistricting
- 31:37Speaker 5: fight and the Louisiana having or Texas having struck down
- 31:43Speaker 5: the Voting Rights Act and all of those things. And
- 31:47Speaker 5: to me, it's a perfect time to take a stance
- 31:52Speaker 5: against something if you're trying to generate interest for something else.
- 31:57Speaker 4: But that's what I'm saying, why do we go to
- 31:59Speaker 4: he's trying there's an alternative motive? Why it can't be
- 32:02Speaker 4: I'm at a press conference. Somebody asked me the question,
- 32:07Speaker 4: what has been the biggest difference in recruitment from Ole
- 32:11Speaker 4: miss to l s U. That is a question, and
- 32:15Speaker 4: he gave it an honest answer, right, And if I
- 32:18Speaker 4: gave you earn his answer, it's hard for people to
- 32:21Speaker 4: to proceed that just to see that as just an observation.
- 32:24Speaker 1: And the rest of that stuff was probably all added
- 32:27Speaker 1: all of that the way people have begun.
- 32:31Speaker 4: And I've been to both Oxford, Mississippi, and Baton Rouge
- 32:35Speaker 4: like Kenny, and some of both of you might have too.
- 32:38Speaker 1: I can't imagine even now I.
- 32:40Speaker 4: Haven't been there in Oxford and since I left Auburn,
- 32:44Speaker 4: but I can imagine because when you do travel, you
- 32:47Speaker 4: see every city didn't change as fast as the next,
- 32:53Speaker 4: and Athens changed faster than Auburn. When I when I
- 32:57Speaker 4: would go to Auburn, Auburn in the life twenty year,
- 33:00Speaker 4: Auburn has.
- 33:03Speaker 1: A long time.
- 33:04Speaker 4: Auburn had like one hotel and you had to stay
- 33:06Speaker 4: down and like if you went to a game, there
- 33:09Speaker 4: was very few places. Now I go there, it's like, wow,
- 33:12Speaker 4: it's hard to even explain to the generation after you
- 33:16Speaker 4: and I played here, we had this hotel. Uh, my
- 33:20Speaker 4: mom had to sleep in the car. Most of it
- 33:23Speaker 4: was by choice to save money, but some of it
- 33:25Speaker 4: was just there is no place and that one hotel
- 33:28Speaker 4: already booked and don't need to call it right now,
- 33:32Speaker 4: months ago. It's just it stays booked for football seasons
- 33:36Speaker 4: because that's how it works. So I would imagine bad
- 33:39Speaker 4: and Ruge has everything down there, or Landy Hiving. You
- 33:43Speaker 4: ride around and you because people do that when they
- 33:46Speaker 4: go to towns. They and now I go to my
- 33:48Speaker 4: I went to my mom's in my town, I would
- 33:52Speaker 4: be hard pressed to show you an orange tree. Ye,
- 33:58Speaker 4: and I literally my town was built in the orange grove.
- 34:03Speaker 4: That well, the sign says orange grove. It was like
- 34:05Speaker 4: cut down a couple rows of the trees. Cut down
- 34:08Speaker 4: a couple of rows of those. Un let's put some houses.
- 34:11Speaker 4: What about the tree line, Just leave the tree line,
- 34:14Speaker 4: that's their shade. Yeah, that's how Really, it was just
- 34:17Speaker 4: just like dropped in the fruit grove because these are
- 34:19Speaker 4: the people that's gonna pick the fruit. We're just gonna
- 34:22Speaker 4: build them somewhere to live. Now, you go there and
- 34:24Speaker 4: you can see from for as long as your sight
- 34:28Speaker 4: there's no trees. There's no evidence.
- 34:30Speaker 1: There's a lot of.
- 34:30Speaker 4: Golf courses, a lot of housing communities and different things.
- 34:35Speaker 4: So maybe that's something too well, And a.
- 34:38Speaker 5: Lot of what I think Mississippi suffers from is they
- 34:40Speaker 5: continue to allow that ideology, that mindset of that's who
- 34:46Speaker 5: they are to be perpetuated. Because I went to college
- 34:49Speaker 5: in Mississippi in the eighties and I went from one
- 34:52Speaker 5: end of the state to the other, and everywhere I
- 34:55Speaker 5: went I was completely lawless and unapologetically lawless, and I
- 34:59Speaker 5: never I heard no consequences. It was like, you know,
- 35:02Speaker 5: they talked like we would be run out and people
- 35:04Speaker 5: would be chasing us. Down and boy, you can't do this,
- 35:07Speaker 5: you can't do that. And I did what I wanted
- 35:10Speaker 5: to do how I wanted to do it, and racism
- 35:12Speaker 5: was never anything I had to confront.
- 35:14Speaker 1: In every city in county I've been in to visit
- 35:17Speaker 1: people Mississippi, the sheriff were black, So I mean I
- 35:22Speaker 1: experienced more racism in Chicago then I had never seen.
- 35:29Speaker 1: I only had seen two black, two white teachers in
- 35:32Speaker 1: my entire life. By the time I moved to Mississippi
- 35:35Speaker 1: as a senior in high school, I had never seen
- 35:38Speaker 1: a white cop patrol my neighborhood. I had never had
- 35:42Speaker 1: a white neighbor within hundreds of blocks of me. My
- 35:48Speaker 1: entire experience was black.
- 35:51Speaker 5: And so for me to hear people talk about how
- 35:54Speaker 5: white people control, I've never seen that anywhere I've lived.
- 35:59Speaker 5: Everything that I've experienced was I'm in control of me,
- 36:03Speaker 5: and there's nobody who can tell me different.
- 36:05Speaker 1: So when I hear this, all you go.
- 36:07Speaker 5: To Old miss and what you went to Old Miss's
- 36:11Speaker 5: as an athlete, which I know had.
- 36:13Speaker 1: To be more important than me just going as the q's.
- 36:16Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying, Come on, man, uh.
- 36:19Speaker 4: Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian says, old Miss. It's just
- 36:23Speaker 4: it was old Miss that week everybody attacked him. Uh said,
- 36:27Speaker 4: they're still taking basket weaving over at Old Miss.
- 36:31Speaker 1: Do they give degrees trying to make it lighthearted? You
- 36:36Speaker 1: can I get a degree after this?
- 36:42Speaker 9: Hit me a pH d in basket Weed. Don't go
- 36:57Speaker 9: away board of the Sports John Show with Wayne Games,
- 37:00Speaker 9: dummy up, maxt.
- 37:03Speaker 1: My mom has taken up going to the park to
- 37:06Speaker 1: practice yoga. My dad's going to a club, but not
- 37:09Speaker 1: a book club, a sofa club. Finding new hobbies comes
- 37:12Speaker 1: with age.
- 37:13Speaker 18: My mom has started getting lost and not knowing where
- 37:16Speaker 18: she's going.
- 37:17Speaker 19: Becoming lost or dis oiented doesn't Confusion with time or

- 38:07Speaker 21: chasing laser pointers into walls or jumping onto high shelves.
- 38:14Speaker 21: But the one thing cats never do text while driving.
- 38:18Speaker 21: So be like a cat and protect your one and
- 38:21Speaker 21: only life. Don't text and drive. Don't drive distracted. A
- 38:25Speaker 21: message brought to you by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration,

- 38:35Speaker 1: And now back to the sports John Wayne Gandy.
- 38:59Speaker 2: Locks you can see a sports jain, I'll sing even.
- 39:06Speaker 1: Welcome back to the sports shot, show them the sports shop.
- 39:08Speaker 4: Winge gan to get morning to you out there and
- 39:11Speaker 4: listening Lang glad to be here with you, Bick Kenny.
- 39:13Speaker 4: Once everybody know out there that home Depot UH is
- 39:17Speaker 4: going to starting UH installing cameras to help with shoplifting
- 39:23Speaker 4: license plate readers.
- 39:24Speaker 1: Not just cameras, cameras with license plate creaders attached. That's different.
- 39:29Speaker 5: That's different because the license plate readers, which are known
- 39:33Speaker 5: commonly in law enforcement as the flock camera, is connected
- 39:38Speaker 5: by a network to flock cameras everywhere. So if you
- 39:44Speaker 5: shoplift from home depot today, the flock camera catches you,
- 39:48Speaker 5: and you pull up at a home depot in Alabama tomorrow,
- 39:53Speaker 5: they are instantly alerted that the shoplifting suspect is here.
- 39:58Speaker 1: So now they can contact the law. Well, it goes
- 40:01Speaker 1: directly to law enforcement, and it just gonna make it
- 40:05Speaker 1: way more difficult unless you're still in a car. Every
- 40:08Speaker 1: time command you, Greg, let.
- 40:09Speaker 4: Me ask you this, why do you think home depot
- 40:12Speaker 4: will get to the Costco Sam's way? Because to me,
- 40:16Speaker 4: that to me would stop a good amount of shoplifting
- 40:21Speaker 4: where you have to show your receipt. Yeah, in leaving
- 40:25Speaker 4: when you when you go to Costco's and Sam you
- 40:27Speaker 4: have you can't just walk out. There's one you know,
- 40:30Speaker 4: there's someone at each door.
- 40:32Speaker 14: They have that alert like an arch thing to where
- 40:35Speaker 14: if you if you hold out your receipt, then someone
- 40:38Speaker 14: at the at the exit will get an alert that okay,
- 40:42Speaker 14: there the receipt is is legit. Uh, at the same
- 40:46Speaker 14: at costco. So it would just take Home Depo investing
- 40:51Speaker 14: in in that. But but it's different. It is like
- 40:54Speaker 14: it's it with lumber or you still put it in
- 40:57Speaker 14: two ways in, two ways out. Well, a lot of
- 41:01Speaker 14: it's a matter of just investing in that kind of technology.
- 41:04Speaker 14: It seemed it would be a little easier than the
- 41:07Speaker 14: license plate reader.
- 41:08Speaker 1: Well, this is the thing that Home Depot is experiencing
- 41:11Speaker 1: like some other uh large box retailers are, and that
- 41:16Speaker 1: is the laws have been changed to where the actual
- 41:20Speaker 1: employees that the retailer can't interfere with your shoplifting. So
- 41:24Speaker 1: we're not talking about people sneaking out with items. We're
- 41:27Speaker 1: talking about them just brazenly picking it up. And once
- 41:30Speaker 1: I get out the door into my car, there's nothing
- 41:33Speaker 1: you can do but call the police.
- 41:35Speaker 4: But whether you were going to stop me or not,
- 41:38Speaker 4: the feeling that nobody is watching me. No, I'm saying
- 41:43Speaker 4: a lot of these places have for security guards standing
- 41:45Speaker 4: at the doubt Home Depot and lows I go to, Yeah,
- 41:50Speaker 4: I'm saying maybe not. You have freedom, That's what I'm saying.
- 41:54Speaker 1: I was specifically Home Depot, right, they need to put
- 41:56Speaker 1: somebody there to the point that and Samson Costco. You
- 42:02Speaker 1: have to it's not a security.
- 42:05Speaker 4: And at home Depot in the garden section when somebody
- 42:09Speaker 4: did steal right, it just came and just rolled out.
- 42:13Speaker 4: And like you're saying, once you get off the property,
- 42:18Speaker 4: the employee stops. He can he can only chase you
- 42:23Speaker 4: to once you hit the road. But if there was
- 42:27Speaker 4: somebody there, and that's what I'm saying, little things, not
- 42:30Speaker 4: the casual thief away. The mastermind, he's gonna get He's
- 42:34Speaker 4: gonna get you.
- 42:35Speaker 5: Anyway, right, But the I just don't want to pay
- 42:37Speaker 5: for the courtless screwdriver guy is not going to risk it.
- 42:43Speaker 1: I think a lot of what.
- 42:45Speaker 5: We find ourselves hampered with sometimes with this is I've
- 42:50Speaker 5: been in home depots where they try and make the
- 42:52Speaker 5: design of the store the deterrent. You have to go
- 42:55Speaker 5: through the cash register system, past employees who are collecting
- 42:59Speaker 5: money to get out.
- 43:01Speaker 1: But that won't deter like you said, the mastermind, Well
- 43:04Speaker 1: it can, because that's how Costco and Sam's. But but
- 43:09Speaker 1: my thing is, I think if you could, uh, what
- 43:12Speaker 1: what's the difference with home depot and versus Costco and Sam's.
- 43:15Speaker 1: You have to even identify yourself before you even enter
- 43:19Speaker 1: Sam's or Costco. So that's you already. That's a deterrent.
- 43:24Speaker 1: So if you're gonna plan on stealing, we got you on,
- 43:27Speaker 1: you know. Identified. But the thing about outside at the
- 43:31Speaker 1: loads and home depots is they got the items outside possible.
- 43:34Speaker 4: That's why they got the it's still it's it's you
- 43:38Speaker 4: can you can employ the same thing at a home
- 43:41Speaker 4: depot as far as getting and.
- 43:44Speaker 1: What I was saying at the outer interests and stuff, you.
- 43:48Speaker 4: Put you put something that's going to along and a
- 43:52Speaker 4: person that's gonna it's supposed to check your receipt. Do
- 43:56Speaker 4: you know you're just talking about percentage points? Do you
- 43:59Speaker 4: know what talking about? Don't do what we're talking about
- 44:01Speaker 4: going from twenty percent to seventy.
- 44:04Speaker 5: Sevent Do you know why I think they don't do
- 44:06Speaker 5: it because at least in the area where I live,
- 44:09Speaker 5: the home depot customer is offended by that.
- 44:13Speaker 1: How dare you at the steel do you think?
- 44:16Speaker 16: I what?
- 44:17Speaker 1: Yes? And you got you got a heart, don't you?
- 44:21Speaker 1: It's the metal detector at the high school. You got
- 44:23Speaker 1: a heart, kid? Yeah, And that's what I'm saying. I
- 44:26Speaker 1: would be Look, I'm for patting everybody down.
- 44:29Speaker 4: Because in mind is just if I'm in the board,
- 44:31Speaker 4: but mainly because there's you're more in a multiple item place,
- 44:38Speaker 4: yes to where you could easily without even trying to
- 44:41Speaker 4: steal you you count it twenty two. You ring up,
- 44:50Speaker 4: you have twenty four on there, but you said only
- 44:52Speaker 4: twenty two when you go through this thing. Oh no,
- 44:55Speaker 4: the scanner said, there's two of them that you didn't count.
- 44:58Speaker 4: Right now, some of that is is you trying to
- 45:00Speaker 4: get over and some of that is just you had
- 45:03Speaker 4: a miscount. Right you're doing a little instead of sliding
- 45:09Speaker 4: them in like like you supposed to count, you just
- 45:11Speaker 4: kind of again, that's hate.
- 45:15Speaker 1: I know. I've been checking folks out of Costco for
- 45:17Speaker 1: thirty two years. I know when I see.
- 45:21Speaker 4: So just have somebody there. Yannis and the coupo up
- 45:25Speaker 4: on the trade block. Guys, Milwaukee looks like they're ready.
- 45:29Speaker 4: They tried to get rid of him last year. Thirty
- 45:33Speaker 4: two years old has won championship, won MVPs. Is your
- 45:37Speaker 4: team interested in the Greek freak? We'll talk about that
- 45:42Speaker 4: on the other side of the break. More to the

- 45:45Speaker 1: This and back up. Yeah, you.

- 46:26Speaker 22: which led to wanting to live longer, which led to quitting.
- 46:31Speaker 22: Then you heard you may be at risk for lung cancer,

- 47:24Speaker 1: Mom.

- 47:50Speaker 1: Hey, you got this. Just breathe. We're pretty good. Yeah.
- 47:59Speaker 1: I have to start a and.
- 48:01Speaker 7: I got it.
- 48:02Speaker 24: Learn about adopting a team from foster care. You can't

- 48:18Speaker 1: And now back to the sports John Wayne Gandy.
- 48:23Speaker 6: Center Court on Sports News Gossip blah blah blah blah blah.
- 48:57Speaker 1: Welcome, I just wy shock show.
- 48:59Speaker 4: I'm this woy shop Dwayne Gandy, one seventeen to one thirteen.
- 49:03Speaker 4: Last night, I did catch that overtime between the Calves
- 49:07Speaker 4: and the Pistons, the Calves winning this series three. The
- 49:12Speaker 4: two headed back home. What a pivotal win right there.
- 49:15Speaker 4: To give yourself a chance at home to close out
- 49:19Speaker 4: tomorrow night. When I look at this series, when I
- 49:22Speaker 4: don't have a dog in the fight, I look at
- 49:25Speaker 4: which team I think I can go to the next
- 49:28Speaker 4: round and win, And I think the Calves to me
- 49:32Speaker 4: are built to beat the Knicks better than the Pistons.
- 49:36Speaker 4: The Penstons kind of work off of a one man
- 49:39Speaker 4: show right now. I know they have that power for
- 49:41Speaker 4: Duran during but most of what they're trying to do
- 49:46Speaker 4: go through k Cunningham. Tobias Harris has played better, but
- 49:53Speaker 4: Durrance supposed to be their second best player, he hasn't
- 49:56Speaker 4: played well. And the Knicks are home getting rest. By
- 49:59Speaker 4: the time they this series is over, they.
- 50:02Speaker 1: Would have.
- 50:04Speaker 4: Five to eight days of full day rest right now now,
- 50:10Speaker 4: and they would have to travel to either one of
- 50:13Speaker 4: these teams, right or.
- 50:14Speaker 1: If if Cleveland closed it out, then New York has
- 50:17Speaker 1: home course of.
- 50:18Speaker 4: Course, so then so if Cleveland wins, they have to
- 50:20Speaker 4: go to New York, which that series probably won't even
- 50:24Speaker 4: start to Monday.
- 50:26Speaker 14: And if you're talking about game six, will be game
- 50:30Speaker 14: seven games. If they go to a game that it
- 50:32Speaker 14: would be like Sunday, So they probably start like Tuesday
- 50:35Speaker 14: or Windnesday.
- 50:36Speaker 1: So the Knicks. Will you know had like ten days?
- 50:39Speaker 20: Now?
- 50:39Speaker 1: Is that good or bad?
- 50:41Speaker 5: I mean, now when we when we clinched, well, they
- 50:45Speaker 5: give O j og and I'm saying it's time to
- 50:49Speaker 5: get back because the time is physically healing. But I'm
- 50:52Speaker 5: talking about the mentality we we we take a break
- 50:57Speaker 5: at a time when we are blowing the competition out
- 51:01Speaker 5: and they can't do nothing about it. Right now we
- 51:03Speaker 5: are joggernaut, and now we take a little rest, we
- 51:07Speaker 5: start believing some of our own hype. We start feeling
- 51:10Speaker 5: remorseful for elbowing people in the mouth. And when I
- 51:13Speaker 5: come back, I'm a different player. And now you got
- 51:16Speaker 5: to jump on me because you're still hungry, you trying
- 51:19Speaker 5: to get your next meal.
- 51:20Speaker 1: I kind of feel like I DIDNN eight already.
- 51:22Speaker 4: So I would say the Knicks, probably with the Ananobe injury,
- 51:28Speaker 4: because I don't even think he played.
- 51:29Speaker 1: In that last game. Now we missed the last two.
- 51:31Speaker 4: We missed the last two games, so to beat one
- 51:33Speaker 4: of these two teams, they're gonna need him. Yes, So yeah,
- 51:38Speaker 4: we always talk about too much rest. Ten days is
- 51:42Speaker 4: I would panic, Yeah, seven days, but ten days a
- 51:46Speaker 4: week and a half a lot of rest, would lot
- 51:49Speaker 4: of rest, I end up.
- 51:50Speaker 5: One of them might end up somewhere in Czechoslovakia.
- 51:54Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying.
- 51:54Speaker 5: They just they it's for me, that's too much time
- 51:58Speaker 5: when you're in the middle of battle.
- 52:01Speaker 4: But they get to sit around watch these games. And
- 52:03Speaker 4: as I said, they can go to practice already knowing
- 52:08Speaker 4: the scout and report, already familiar with the teams anyway,
- 52:10Speaker 4: and you getting all these days to actually watch them.
- 52:14Speaker 4: And I know for a fact three or four of
- 52:17Speaker 4: those guys, if not the whole team are watching these
- 52:20Speaker 4: games as.
- 52:21Speaker 5: A group, they would they would be squandering an opportunity
- 52:26Speaker 5: if they weren't all the.
- 52:27Speaker 1: Ones that went to Villanova, or if they yeah, they
- 52:32Speaker 1: might be in Bruntson's pool. Yeah, yeah, it's not It
- 52:37Speaker 1: ain't formal, you know what I'm saying.
- 52:39Speaker 5: They're not all sitting around and team and blazing sweats
- 52:43Speaker 5: and there's no dry race board. But yeah, we watching
- 52:46Speaker 5: the game. Roll up Bronson and turn the big, big,
- 52:50Speaker 5: big screen on. But yeah, we're gonna see this together,
- 52:53Speaker 5: rolling up something. Yeah, and big Cat letting them know.
- 52:56Speaker 5: See now, when we get in this situation, y'all, let.
- 52:59Speaker 4: You know we're drugged and for the year. That's what
- 53:00Speaker 4: you over there telling you, and you know they know,
- 53:03Speaker 4: Oh they've done drug testing again the training camp. That's
- 53:09Speaker 4: what I'm saying. We're just trying to make sure somebody
- 53:14Speaker 4: don't go to get his cataracts right. Yeah, and you
- 53:16Speaker 4: know from Black it's just needed here between. But along
- 53:24Speaker 4: with Lebron James. We'll talk about Lebron Lebron James in
- 53:27Speaker 4: the next album. Joanna's looks like being packaged for trade.
- 53:33Speaker 4: I know when I saw it, I started piecing together
- 53:35Speaker 4: pieces here in Atlanta for the Hawks. I was thinking about,
- 53:39Speaker 4: maybe we give him the eighth pick that we have
- 53:42Speaker 4: this year, Zachary this year, and a Congo.
- 53:48Speaker 1: I gave you those three. Would you give me Honess?
- 53:53Speaker 1: You gotta give me that and either Daniels or Alexander Walker.
- 53:59Speaker 1: I need one of them.
- 54:00Speaker 4: No, then I let you go because I gave you
- 54:03Speaker 4: the first round of this year. I gave you the
- 54:05Speaker 4: number one pick of the draft from two years ago,
- 54:08Speaker 4: who's only twenty one. And I gave you another big
- 54:10Speaker 4: man to replace Jannas And now you're just trying.
- 54:13Speaker 1: To be great.
- 54:14Speaker 5: Yeah, Because I was about to say the fact that
- 54:16Speaker 5: we gave you the number one pick that I gave
- 54:18Speaker 5: you three healthy people.
- 54:20Speaker 14: Thats why the trade didn't happen. At the trade deadline,
- 54:23Speaker 14: Milwaukee is going to ask for the world and there
- 54:28Speaker 14: is I don't know if there is a package that's
- 54:31Speaker 14: going to be good enough, and if there may settle
- 54:34Speaker 14: for something that they don't even really like. We didn't
- 54:38Speaker 14: really get what we wanted out of this deal.
- 54:41Speaker 1: I give you three or Janas, I'll give you four.
- 54:47Speaker 4: For a man, so that fourth person, I'd rather take
- 54:54Speaker 4: that package out of Minnesota and see if they take that. Well,
- 54:58Speaker 4: I give you three starters and a first round pick.
- 55:02Speaker 4: But Yanna's at thirty two, been missing on these last
- 55:05Speaker 4: couple of years, and.
- 55:07Speaker 5: Now I think for me, the biggest mar two bringing
- 55:12Speaker 5: a Yannis is I see how he behaves when he's dissatisfied.
- 55:18Speaker 5: If I've had Trey already, I don't need that here again,
- 55:21Speaker 5: you know what I mean? If Jannis ain't getting Yannis's way,
- 55:25Speaker 5: he kind of seems like he's far more injury prone,
- 55:29Speaker 5: He's far less effective on the court. An ant man,
- 55:32Speaker 5: a healthy ant man, could get four Hawks.
- 55:37Speaker 1: Out of me.
- 55:37Speaker 4: Well, I got to convinced Minnesota Milwaukee already ready.
- 55:42Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm saying, well, Minnesota today, you know, maybe we'll
- 55:45Speaker 5: throw something else in there.
- 55:46Speaker 1: But no, I'm not giving up all that for Janni's
- 55:50Speaker 1: not at this stage in his career. Probably two years
- 55:53Speaker 1: ago might have gave it. Additional to what do you
- 55:56Speaker 1: have in mind as far as to what to give it. Yeah,
- 56:01Speaker 1: that's what we're all sitting here.
- 56:03Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 56:04Speaker 1: Now, I'm just trying to figure out there's nothing. I mean,
- 56:06Speaker 1: we're playing fake GM, right. I mean, I like your trade.
- 56:10Speaker 1: I mean that the first rounder from two years ago,
- 56:14Speaker 1: this eighth pick, I don't know about that giving my
- 56:20Speaker 1: big man away with him because I might have to
- 56:22Speaker 1: have somebody to back it. Can we give can we
- 56:24Speaker 1: give four Hawks and just keep Reese a share? I'm
- 56:27Speaker 1: saying we give him out, give him, I give him
- 56:29Speaker 1: the Daniels, give him a big man, give him the
- 56:32Speaker 1: guy that you said you wouldn't Richard have and uh,
- 56:36Speaker 1: the eighth pick and then a future pick and and
- 56:39Speaker 1: you can have fo but reesa share. We're gonna keep
- 56:42Speaker 1: him because he was the first round pick two years ago.
- 56:44Speaker 1: We might be a deal.
- 56:46Speaker 4: I'm enticing you with him now. We might be able
- 56:50Speaker 4: to take him to Minnesota. You don't have anything I
- 56:53Speaker 4: really want without giving me Zach. You're not going to
- 56:57Speaker 4: give me Jalen Johnson to Now you gotta look at
- 57:01Speaker 4: what the value of what you have left. You don't
- 57:05Speaker 4: have a lot of value, proven value, You don't have
- 57:08Speaker 4: any name. It is more than what somebody's doing in
- 57:12Speaker 4: a basket. Yanna's is gonna sell tickets. Yes, you ain't
- 57:16Speaker 4: sending me nobody that's gonna sell tickets like that.
- 57:19Speaker 1: No, no, no, no, no, not like that. You ain't
- 57:21Speaker 1: sending me nobody that's You ain't sell me No brand
- 57:25Speaker 1: I sold. I sent you a brand.
- 57:27Speaker 4: Right, So it's gonna take a half of season for
- 57:31Speaker 4: a failure for the fans not to come out. But
- 57:33Speaker 4: soon as you say Yannas is a Hawk, people are
- 57:40Speaker 4: gonna cry, you ain't send me nothing. They won't even
- 57:42Speaker 4: know these people's name. I have to run a campaign
- 57:45Speaker 4: for the guy. You have to keep saying he was
- 57:47Speaker 4: the first pick of the draft. Two, we'll be back
- 57:51Speaker 4: more Sports jack Show.
- 57:56Speaker 1: Like long sell John go Away or of.

- 59:55Speaker 26: you by the Alzheimer's Association and the AD Council.
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: No, no, I don't have any why so serious and
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: we hold the world brandom for Excuse me while I
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: whip this out. Broadcasting live in Atlanta, Georgia. This is
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: the Sports Truck Ship with Wade Dandy. You may begin.
- 1:00:48Speaker 4: Your comes to fund.
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: That comes along. Isn't just I'm a do ber. Welcome
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: back to this boy Shock show. I'm in this sport
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: Shock Wing. Kenny. Good morning to you out there and listening.
- 1:01:08Speaker 4: When we were talking about the Hawks, Giannis on the
- 1:01:11Speaker 4: takupo right there during the break, the bad producer, like
- 1:01:15Speaker 4: most Atlanta sports fans of any sport. Uh, they're always
- 1:01:20Speaker 4: so pessimistic. Uh he he rained on my parade before
- 1:01:26Speaker 4: the break. I was had a whole bunch of optimism. Like, man,
- 1:01:29Speaker 4: that would be nice because typically we get the Jannas
- 1:01:35Speaker 4: in four more years and right now down the line
- 1:01:40Speaker 4: when yeah and Jens Carter and Dwight Howard we get
- 1:01:44Speaker 4: them after the back surgery and they thirty five. I'm
- 1:01:48Speaker 4: trying to get into you at thirty game, big Kenny.
- 1:01:51Speaker 4: I'm trying to give you something to be able to
- 1:01:53Speaker 4: fight in the East, because the worst thing is you
- 1:01:59Speaker 4: send yann Us to Boston or somewhere that closes the
- 1:02:04Speaker 4: book on you. Remember, you're trying to win a championship.
- 1:02:08Speaker 4: You got to build a team to try to win
- 1:02:10Speaker 4: a championship, not just win games and the Hawks. But
- 1:02:17Speaker 4: he's Atlanta fans. I've never met a fan base that
- 1:02:23Speaker 4: has so much doubt and pessimism about having something happen
- 1:02:29Speaker 4: good for them and never so if you ain't gonna
- 1:02:33Speaker 4: get Yanna's aunt, man, who is you gonna get him?
- 1:02:38Speaker 4: He's not gonna freely. First of all, he's a ticket seller.
- 1:02:42Speaker 4: The Milwaukee Bucks owner co owner one of them. He's
- 1:02:46Speaker 4: being sued some lady trying to scam him out of
- 1:02:48Speaker 4: a billion dollars or Eddie, she took some pictures they
- 1:02:53Speaker 4: would have a little romantic affair on the side.
- 1:02:55Speaker 15: What is it?
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: His name?
- 1:02:56Speaker 4: Wesley, Wesley the Edens is the co owner of the
- 1:03:02Speaker 4: Milwaukee Bucks, victim of an alleged one billion dollar extortion.
- 1:03:07Speaker 4: Young lady has picture she was trying to extort him.
- 1:03:11Speaker 4: Milwaukee understands that their market, even with how big Jannis is,
- 1:03:16Speaker 4: it might be time to go. What's the market that
- 1:03:18Speaker 4: needs a name that can defend? Y'all keep trying to
- 1:03:22Speaker 4: run Dice and Daniels. Dyson Daniels is the only guy
- 1:03:24Speaker 4: on the team that to play any defense. He's Draymond
- 1:03:28Speaker 4: Green for the Hawks, but nobody he's trying to become that.
- 1:03:31Speaker 4: He's twenty one years old. But everybody I talk to, man,
- 1:03:35Speaker 4: you gotta get rid of Dyson Daniel. Y'all don't say
- 1:03:37Speaker 4: that about these other guys that.
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: Don't score, that have pivotal roles on these teams.
- 1:03:43Speaker 4: Right, everybody needs a jump player, and it's hard to
- 1:03:47Speaker 4: convince even Draymond Green, as you was saying, thought he
- 1:03:50Speaker 4: was a scorer, but somebody had to convince him. Man,
- 1:03:54Speaker 4: you do to Ben Wallace, be the Ben Wallace, be
- 1:03:59Speaker 4: that guy, be the dive and throw the ball.
- 1:04:04Speaker 14: Do you think that that's part of the fan base issue,
- 1:04:08Speaker 14: Like if you're not already pessimistic, but if you're not
- 1:04:13Speaker 14: a superstar, then it's like, well, we what are we
- 1:04:17Speaker 14: supposed to think about you? Even though like you could
- 1:04:21Speaker 14: eventually be a vital part like Diyson down tould be
- 1:04:23Speaker 14: a vital part of a contending team. Okay, we started there,
- 1:04:28Speaker 14: but he's not a superstar. So it's like, are you
- 1:04:31Speaker 14: talking about what the hawk?
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 1:04:32Speaker 5: I think the Atlanta fan base is starstruck period. We
- 1:04:35Speaker 5: don't care what the right if you're not a superstar.
- 1:04:41Speaker 5: We don't even care if we're winning, as long as
- 1:04:44Speaker 5: we got somebody that we can say is a perennial name.
- 1:04:48Speaker 5: We don't care about team team right, that we don't
- 1:04:51Speaker 5: care about when none of the winning part.
- 1:04:54Speaker 4: Saying you keep talking about that you want the biggest name.
- 1:04:59Speaker 4: Oh man, you know he went to high school with
- 1:05:01Speaker 4: Kwavo cousin. You used to to start throwing out all
- 1:05:04Speaker 4: these kind of things, which it sounds good, and man,
- 1:05:08Speaker 4: we roll out the red carpet. I'm just talking about
- 1:05:11Speaker 4: someone who's actually on the trade block that you could
- 1:05:15Speaker 4: give up a couple of pieces for that have value
- 1:05:18Speaker 4: based on the status in which they were drafted and
- 1:05:22Speaker 4: bring something in that might help you defend and get
- 1:05:25Speaker 4: further up. He can be like Donovan Mitchell brought the
- 1:05:30Speaker 4: level of play up in Cleveland, gave them hope. He
- 1:05:32Speaker 4: can maybe do that here in Atlanta. But I've never
- 1:05:34Speaker 4: met a fan base that if you're not already Coca Cola,
- 1:05:38Speaker 4: they don't want you on the shelf. They don't want
- 1:05:41Speaker 4: no upstart Mountain Dew or Dr Pepper. Hey man, I
- 1:05:45Speaker 4: got this new company out and they called it Dr Pepper.
- 1:05:48Speaker 4: Now man, that's Dyson down Ears could be your andre
- 1:05:51Speaker 4: Igli dollar, that little piece that don't cost you a
- 1:05:54Speaker 4: lot of money, but put it a lot. He deep
- 1:05:57Speaker 4: in and he's okay not scoring and playing whatever role
- 1:06:01Speaker 4: with whoever you put him on the court. But it's
- 1:06:03Speaker 4: hard to do that.
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: The Bucks.
- 1:06:06Speaker 4: The Bucks started falling apart when they kept trying to
- 1:06:09Speaker 4: add offensive star power. They didn't need Dame Dollar. They
- 1:06:16Speaker 4: did not They could have kept Holiday, but they was
- 1:06:20Speaker 4: going with we're gonna get Dame Dollar the gore and
- 1:06:26Speaker 4: they've been in shambles since then.
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: And that's all.
- 1:06:30Speaker 4: But I've never met a fan base no matter what
- 1:06:33Speaker 4: sport you go to, like you guys saying it has
- 1:06:36Speaker 4: to be it can't even be PEPSI.
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: It has to be coke.
- 1:06:41Speaker 4: It can't be five and can't be five guys, it
- 1:06:44Speaker 4: gotta be Nick Donald's or they just are like McDonald's
- 1:06:49Speaker 4: work with everything.
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: Work. We don't need it.
- 1:06:53Speaker 4: Okay, then just keep staying as Checkers, because that's how
- 1:06:57Speaker 4: the rest of the league, as Checkers get trade. Where
- 1:07:02Speaker 4: Checkers the hamburger place Checkers. There's a hamburger place called Checkers.
- 1:07:07Speaker 4: There's a hamburger place called Rallies. I'm guessing that's part
- 1:07:13Speaker 4: of my answer. Is hamburger place you speak of called Checkers.
- 1:07:19Speaker 4: I've never uh darkened the doorstep of a Checkers.
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: Well you you can't go in. It's it's a justice.
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: Well maybe that's the answer. It's it's it's it's like
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: a division the trade approve. I mean, that's the thing
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: I'm saying that if you can get it approved, we
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: got an inside man like a Jerry West. It works.
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: It hm in Milwaukee that could send us, like he said,
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: man like Gasal got sent to l A. I mean,
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: you got to get the trade to prove I like
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: the what the proposal that did you put together? I'm saying,
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: to get somebody from Milwaukee to agreed to like the
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: trade that you will propose for the Hawks to Milwaukee.
- 1:08:06Speaker 4: That's not the part I'm talking about, And that's not
- 1:08:07Speaker 4: the part you was pessimistic about.
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: I was just offering. I can't I didn't say that.
- 1:08:11Speaker 12: Man.
- 1:08:13Speaker 14: No, what I'm saying, there are a lot of teams
- 1:08:16Speaker 14: that are gonna try like Atlanta should, because I told
- 1:08:19Speaker 14: my friends who are Hawks fans like y'all should try
- 1:08:21Speaker 14: the trade for you honest, like you have pieces. It's
- 1:08:25Speaker 14: it doesn't hurt to make an offer.
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: So but still then you're gonna put Then you're gonna
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: have hurt feelings if people know.
- 1:08:35Speaker 4: Hurt feelings or what. One of the one of the people,
- 1:08:37Speaker 4: one of the three pieces is not even a Hawk yet.
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: It's just a pick. And let me say this, sir,
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: one of the.
- 1:08:46Speaker 4: Pieces I offered, I don't even know how am I
- 1:08:48Speaker 4: hurting his feelings. We ain't even drafted him. The second
- 1:08:52Speaker 4: is the first pick of the draft who you just
- 1:08:54Speaker 4: had not been playing. So either you don't believe in
- 1:08:57Speaker 4: his talent. There is no first pick of the draft
- 1:09:02Speaker 4: that doesn't play in his second year. That's what you
- 1:09:06Speaker 4: did with Zachary, So it seems like you don't particularly
- 1:09:10Speaker 4: appreciate him and a congo just want to make sure
- 1:09:14Speaker 4: that his contract stays the same.
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: That's it. I'm gonna still get the fifteen million, right
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: right right, that's and that's that is where's my locker?
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: That's that's it. I'm still get to fifteen million. Okay,
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: which one of these is mine? And we hope I.
- 1:09:35Speaker 5: Don't understand some hurt feelings. These are immortal words of
- 1:09:40Speaker 5: Nino Brown, my brother. It's always business, never personal. What
- 1:09:46Speaker 5: you mean hurt feelings?
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: Tyreek Hill back in court last week.
- 1:09:51Speaker 4: Well you think Tyreek Hill end up in Kansas City,
- 1:09:54Speaker 4: the star receiver, that's where he basically made his brand.
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: He is a free agent?
- 1:10:00Speaker 14: Correct or, Yes, he's a free agent. They're anyway the
- 1:10:04Speaker 14: only team that's interested. Well, and that's going to ask,
- 1:10:08Speaker 14: did you think he would follow to up here to Atlanta?
- 1:10:11Speaker 14: He's from Georgia? Isn't he from Georgia? Didn't he go
- 1:10:14Speaker 14: to high school in Georgia. No, I'm not sure. Oh
- 1:10:18Speaker 14: I thought, I thought, yeah, I thought he.
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: Was from Miami. I think I think he's from the Miami.
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: Oh okay. I thought maybe we don't have Georgia or
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: we don't research he was. Oh no, he went to coffee. Yeah, say,
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: I thought I thought it was because wasn't he.
- 1:10:36Speaker 4: Wanted only reason because I know he was the Games
- 1:10:40Speaker 4: a couple of years ago and they said coffee.
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: Yeah it was.
- 1:10:45Speaker 4: Somebody said that Tyreek Hill went to high school there
- 1:10:48Speaker 4: and that's how that's so I'm not like this wasn't
- 1:10:51Speaker 4: firsthand knowledge up to about three years ago. I called
- 1:10:54Speaker 4: high school Games and they mentioned that Tyreek that's where
- 1:10:56Speaker 4: he went.
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: Bright. Yeah he went, he went to coffee. I didn't
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: why he was from Florida. I guess because the Garden City.
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: He went to the Garden City Community College in Florida.
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: So I mean before now the Garden City is in Kansas.
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: Oh that is okay, right, So I was using the
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: tour and he was from Georgia as his motivation motivation
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: he got the.
- 1:11:18Speaker 4: Quarterback and he was from Coffee, which is about an
- 1:11:22Speaker 4: hour hour.
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: Douglas, nobody sure nobody sure where it is. So that's
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: what I was saying, So good football. Nobody knows, like
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: going to that one. Nobody knows. Okay, thank you for
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: that because I was trying. That's how if you're trying
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: to figure out how I came back.
- 1:11:42Speaker 4: Douglas County and the city is somewhere he played, and
- 1:11:46Speaker 4: I thought the two elements that might get him here.
- 1:11:50Speaker 4: And the Falcons are looking for a different spark plug.
- 1:11:56Speaker 4: They have the big you know, London and all those eyes.
- 1:12:00Speaker 4: They need that guy that takes the five yard and
- 1:12:03Speaker 4: go sixty. Sometimes that Tour or Michael Pennix need to
- 1:12:08Speaker 4: just dump because that's the ball down to.
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: And I was using the whole will Tua, you know,
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: and it's from Georgia. From Georgia.
- 1:12:16Speaker 4: Sometimes that's all it takes. Where people want to make
- 1:12:18Speaker 4: in front of their their hometown. Yeah, make it happen.
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: So we'll be back right after this. Yeah, Hugh.
- 1:12:32Speaker 27: Man, I have to.
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: Trying to measure your.

- 1:15:18Speaker 4: Kate Donchet is fifty seven, Rob Grikowski thirty seven, George
- 1:15:25Speaker 4: Lucas is eighty two.
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: So he was thirty five when he was coming up
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: with all that Star Wars Acid. Yeah, about thirty thirty four, Yeah,
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: I was.
- 1:15:40Speaker 4: I think the first one was like seventy six, seventy
- 1:15:42Speaker 4: seven somewhere near you said acid.
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: Bit kick, it had to be acid. That was the
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: seventies though, and everybody was doing it. That's what I'm saying.
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: I mean, man, why did we come up with an
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: argument with his father about his direction in life? And
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: so he created Like dad used to be cool, but
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: now that I'm in college, he's all on my back.
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: I want to be in film school. He's just a
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: dark guy, like an invader, like a dark invader.
- 1:16:10Speaker 9: Like a.
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: Hey man, I just had it. I just had yeah.
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: Stick with me, Now, stick with me. Now we're in space,
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: we're in faith. But it kind of like we are
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: now right.
- 1:16:24Speaker 14: But instead of guds, it's these swords. The swords are
- 1:16:29Speaker 14: made of neon lights.
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: George Lucas eighty two years old.
- 1:16:34Speaker 4: Tim Roth is sixty five, the actor Sophia Coppola, the
- 1:16:38Speaker 4: director is fifty five. Clay Matthews is forty. A man
- 1:16:43Speaker 4: Frank Gore should have been in the Hall of Fame
- 1:16:45Speaker 4: at some point is forty three. Zach Eadie with the
- 1:16:48Speaker 4: Grizzlies is twenty four. Cole Anthony is twenty six. Is
- 1:16:54Speaker 4: he's still with the Magic Cole Anthony.
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: Now he was traded to the Bucks and then the
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: Bucks waved him. Okay, so I don't know. Yeah, he
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: is a free agent, Okay, twenty six years old.
- 1:17:12Speaker 4: John smoked the Hall of Famer right, Yeah, it was Halloween,
- 1:17:16Speaker 4: fifty nine years old. George Brett, another Hall of Famer,
- 1:17:20Speaker 4: will always live in that clip. This will always when
- 1:17:25Speaker 4: he guitar. Yeah, and he ran out to the umpire
- 1:17:30Speaker 4: and went ballistic. Uh they call that mental health this era.
- 1:17:35Speaker 4: Back then, they just called it George. Yeah, yeah, George
- 1:17:38Speaker 4: being George. But you can't do that now. That's probably
- 1:17:41Speaker 4: about two weeks suspension. Two weeks unless you get rehabed,
- 1:17:46Speaker 4: unless you get for you, unless you take some time
- 1:17:51Speaker 4: off to go, uh, re evaluate your priority. Seventy three
- 1:17:57Speaker 4: is George Brett. David Burnaz is fifty seven. Tucker Carlson
- 1:18:03Speaker 4: is fifty seven. PRIs Bronson Brosnan. Excuse me a seventy
- 1:18:08Speaker 4: three Gabrielle Sabatini. I just always loved her name. He
- 1:18:14Speaker 4: was tennis star back in our day, fifty six years
- 1:18:17Speaker 4: old Thurman Thomas, who never really got his due because
- 1:18:22Speaker 4: he was running in the same time that Emmitt Smith were.
- 1:18:24Speaker 4: But he was just as good as Emmitt and Barry.
- 1:18:27Speaker 4: He's Hall of Famer. He's just as dangerous. He might
- 1:18:31Speaker 4: have been better because in a lot of ways, because
- 1:18:35Speaker 4: Thurman was good catching the ball out of the backfield?
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: Was he just quiet? It was his his market. What
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: what why I didn't know you it's it was and
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: Barry we was only doing the top two the n
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: we was doing the top three. He way now he
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: started ahead of Barry at Oklahoma State, but people don't
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: know that he with the Oklahoma State because of next year,
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: rushed for twenty six hundred yard.
- 1:18:59Speaker 4: He just started talking Barry yesterday toinally forget for taking
- 1:19:03Speaker 4: his start. But Therma Thomas was as dangerous as a
- 1:19:07Speaker 4: weapon and again in the Hall of Fame. And he
- 1:19:10Speaker 4: did all of this ballad. He was the I mean
- 1:19:13Speaker 4: he it was nothing he didn't do. He would block,
- 1:19:16Speaker 4: he could run, he could catch. He was he was
- 1:19:18Speaker 4: the Marshall fault before Martiall fault.
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: He probably has a T shirt say don't ask me about.
- 1:19:23Speaker 4: But everybody everybody kept doing the like you're saying, like
- 1:19:28Speaker 4: we do with basketball and now with Lebron and Jordan,
- 1:19:31Speaker 4: it was back then it was Emmitt and Barry and he.
- 1:19:36Speaker 5: He won during that time, he won an MVP. He
- 1:19:40Speaker 5: probably can't say the letter around him. He get upset.
- 1:19:43Speaker 5: He kept losing them in the Super Bowl. He should
- 1:19:47Speaker 5: that was the thing too. So John Sally is sixty two,
- 1:19:50Speaker 5: Ralph tresvent fifty eight. Uh yukon' kk Arnold is twenty one,
- 1:19:57Speaker 5: special ed fifty four, Tory Spelling is fifty three. Janet
- 1:20:03Speaker 5: Jackson is sixty, Dan Patrick is seventy, Ryan Leaf it's fifty.
- 1:20:09Speaker 5: Desmond Howard heismand Trophy went in fifty six. Stella Maxwell
- 1:20:14Speaker 5: she's thirty six. The model Andy Murray is thirty nine.
- 1:20:19Speaker 4: EMMITTT. Smith See it won't even let him have his
- 1:20:21Speaker 4: birthday to himself. Ain't that's something man can't even turn
- 1:20:26Speaker 4: have a birthday with.
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: You did it on purpose. You did it on purpose. EMT.
- 1:20:32Speaker 4: Smith fifty seven years old. Who else do we have
- 1:20:36Speaker 4: on here? Megan Fox is forty and Ray Lewis is
- 1:20:42Speaker 4: fifty one years Oh, little work here, Gregg. Don't get
- 1:20:48Speaker 4: to work this weekend. He wanted to make sure he's
- 1:20:52Speaker 4: paying attention. He wanted to make sure it's a union
- 1:20:54Speaker 4: job and they offer benefits as he was paying attention.
- 1:20:59Speaker 4: A little work here going to the weekend, Greg, got
- 1:21:01Speaker 4: your hair down?
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: What you're going with?
- 1:21:03Speaker 14: Been on a drug bench? What it is gonna look like?
- 1:21:07Speaker 14: I actually did watch her when she played. I'll go
- 1:21:10Speaker 14: with Gabriella Savatine.
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: Okay, okay, okay, A little bit of that forehand, That's
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: what it is. Little forehand, Gabriella seventy. Uh.
- 1:21:26Speaker 4: We will go to break when we come back, we
- 1:21:28Speaker 4: will talk about stephen A Smith.
- 1:21:31Speaker 12: Uh.
- 1:21:31Speaker 4: He says a woman uh that he dates needs to
- 1:21:34Speaker 4: be domesticated. Let's commit that's a bad producer board saying that.
- 1:21:40Speaker 4: We also will talk about Lebron James and what else
- 1:21:44Speaker 4: do we have here? Wimby in the greatness of Wemby,
- 1:21:49Speaker 4: as he has taken over, and we keep trying to say,
- 1:21:53Speaker 4: they played the night against Minnesota and Manu, Will we
- 1:21:57Speaker 4: allow Wendy to be the face of the league. Will
- 1:22:00Speaker 4: we hold the croissant against him? That and much more
- 1:22:03Speaker 4: were coming home, Don't Go Away?
- 1:22:19Speaker 9: Board of the Sports Josh Show with Wayne Dantidias dumming
- 1:22:22Speaker 9: up next.
- 1:22:24Speaker 27: I'm a pretty great multitasker. I can wash dishes and
- 1:22:27Speaker 27: do laundry.
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: I can roller skate while walking my dog.
- 1:22:31Speaker 27: I can even order lunch while doing my homework. But
- 1:22:34Speaker 27: I can't use my phone while driving. A distracted driver
- 1:22:38Speaker 27: is one of the leading causes of death in the
- 1:22:40Speaker 27: United States. So when it comes to driving, please don't
- 1:22:43Speaker 27: be a multitasker.
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: Don't drive distracted.
- 1:22:46Speaker 16: A message brought to you by the National Highway Traffic
- 1:22:48Speaker 16: Safety Administration, Project yellow Light and the AD Council.
- 1:22:54Speaker 3: All right, son, time to put out this campfire.
- 1:22:56Speaker 18: Dad, We learned about this in school.
- 1:22:58Speaker 3: Oh did you now? Okay, what's first?
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: Smokey Bear said, too, First, drown it with the bucket
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: of water, then stir it with the shovel.
- 1:23:05Speaker 3: Wow, you sound just like him.
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: Then he said, if it's still warm, then do it again.
- 1:23:11Speaker 3: Where can I learn all this?
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: It's all on smokeybear.

- 1:23:33Speaker 26: may be your turn to guide her.
- 1:23:35Speaker 25: Hey, I'm worried about Mom. She keeps forgetting her famous
- 1:23:38Speaker 25: sweet potato pie recipe.
- 1:23:40Speaker 3: Some things come of it, says, and some don't.

- 1:23:55Speaker 25: Choosing to buy a gun was not a decision I
- 1:23:57Speaker 25: took lightly, but with everything going on, I really wanted
- 1:24:00Speaker 25: to feel like I could protect myself. I hadn't thought
- 1:24:03Speaker 25: about the danger of an unlocked gun in my own
- 1:24:05Speaker 25: home too.
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: Me, where are your napkins? Not that drawer unless anyone
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: needs a gun.

- 1:24:35Speaker 6: I have been given full access to the player's lounge
- 1:24:38Speaker 6: on the Sports Jack Show with Wayne Gandy.
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: It's goodn way back this smort Shock show.
- 1:25:08Speaker 4: I'm the sportshock wing Candy Lebron James at across roads
- 1:25:12Speaker 4: once again at forty one, forty two years old.
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: Where will Lebron? What would this decision be?
- 1:25:21Speaker 4: Is up in the air On this off season, the
- 1:25:25Speaker 4: Lakers won him back, but after this season and seeing
- 1:25:31Speaker 4: Luca be hurt in the playoffs, I still believe that
- 1:25:36Speaker 4: if Luca could have been out there with him, they
- 1:25:39Speaker 4: had a chance.
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: They didn't have any chance.
- 1:25:41Speaker 4: As you saw against okay See, you can't beat that
- 1:25:44Speaker 4: kind of team without your best player. You're just not
- 1:25:49Speaker 4: gonna beat okay See with Luca. And you can see
- 1:25:53Speaker 4: it in the games when you watch it was just
- 1:25:56Speaker 4: the Lakers was scoring as much as many points as
- 1:26:00Speaker 4: their talent. Without Luca, we have a ninety six point team.
- 1:26:06Speaker 4: That's why we signed Luca. He makes up the other thirty, right,
- 1:26:11Speaker 4: I mean that's I mean, sometimes you it's it's like
- 1:26:13Speaker 4: watching the Sixers fire Darryl Moray, Well, what was I
- 1:26:19Speaker 4: supposed to do without Paul George and Joelo b They
- 1:26:22Speaker 4: were hurt, Like remember I brought them guys and they
- 1:26:26Speaker 4: were hurt.
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: They heard them.
- 1:26:30Speaker 14: Again, a lot of people kept pointing to that he uh,
- 1:26:34Speaker 14: he traded Jared McCain to Oklahoma City, who has been
- 1:26:38Speaker 14: playing well for them, and like, how could you? How
- 1:26:41Speaker 14: can you trade away a guy like that? But they
- 1:26:43Speaker 14: got they got like five draft picks back for him
- 1:26:49Speaker 14: what they haven't used yet. So and that's what I'm saying.
- 1:26:51Speaker 4: It's like, it's funny just how it works, Like, no
- 1:26:55Speaker 4: matter what goes on as a GM, as a head coach,
- 1:26:58Speaker 4: you're still going to be the person. You know, a
- 1:27:02Speaker 4: healthy Joelabe, Paul George. How I envisioned when I put
- 1:27:05Speaker 4: this team together didn't manifest, And regardless of why it
- 1:27:09Speaker 4: didn't manifest, you're on the hook for it.
- 1:27:11Speaker 27: Right.
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: That's just how it really worked well. And that's yeah,
- 1:27:16Speaker 1: the buck stops with me. And I thought you wasn't
- 1:27:19Speaker 1: gonna be a scrub, but you know, yeah I am.
- 1:27:22Speaker 4: And the same thing. That's what I'm saying. With the Lakers,
- 1:27:24Speaker 4: they you know, they can beat the Rockets with what
- 1:27:27Speaker 4: they had, they couldn't beat the homeless, They couldn't go
- 1:27:30Speaker 4: any further with what without. What they was looking for
- 1:27:34Speaker 4: from Luca was supposed to be the equalizer and we
- 1:27:39Speaker 4: two SGA, and.
- 1:27:41Speaker 5: We started this with talking about the King and if
- 1:27:45Speaker 5: the King without Luca cannot get it done, then.
- 1:27:51Speaker 18: What are our.
- 1:27:53Speaker 5: Expectations of the King going forward? You are no longer Superman.
- 1:28:02Speaker 5: You have because of the advent of time, been moved
- 1:28:06Speaker 5: into Batman. You need a Robin that's been proven without Robin,
- 1:28:13Speaker 5: mister Freeze won this one. What what are my expectations
- 1:28:18Speaker 5: of you going forward?
- 1:28:19Speaker 1: Now?
- 1:28:20Speaker 4: Well, I think if I'm Lebron and I'm the athlete,
- 1:28:22Speaker 4: the first thing Lebron has to decide is how long
- 1:28:28Speaker 4: do I want to play? Before I can make a
- 1:28:30Speaker 4: decision of where I play, I got to figure out
- 1:28:33Speaker 4: how long do I want to Do I want to
- 1:28:35Speaker 4: play one more year? Or do I want because I
- 1:28:39Speaker 4: don't see him playing longer than two more years? But
- 1:28:41Speaker 4: am I playing just one more year or two? And
- 1:28:47Speaker 4: the next thing would be if I'm based on that,
- 1:28:50Speaker 4: the next move. If I'm just playing one more year,
- 1:28:53Speaker 4: then I got to figure out in that year is
- 1:28:55Speaker 4: that my retirement tour? He says he doesn't want one,
- 1:29:00Speaker 4: So then I need to call Luca. I'll invested or
- 1:29:04Speaker 4: you're gonna be in this for me to come back.
- 1:29:09Speaker 4: I wouldn't if I'm if I'm him and he asking
- 1:29:12Speaker 4: me and my advice, I would go back to one
- 1:29:15Speaker 4: of the three teams I've already played for. I wouldn't
- 1:29:18Speaker 4: do that whole You're gonna miss out going somewhere like Portland. Yeah,
- 1:29:23Speaker 4: go go back to Miami. You've passed that stage. So
- 1:29:27Speaker 4: either go back to Miami, go back to Cleveland, or
- 1:29:30Speaker 4: stay with the Lakers. Those places.
- 1:29:32Speaker 14: No other teams have have come up. So while that
- 1:29:36Speaker 14: makes sense, some other teams have come up. I've heard
- 1:29:40Speaker 14: someone say that the Knicks are a great fit, but
- 1:29:44Speaker 14: if they win the championship, he probably won't go there.
- 1:29:51Speaker 14: Golden State. But even that's that's a team that will
- 1:29:53Speaker 14: be getting older.
- 1:29:55Speaker 1: Golden State. I've heard that, but heard that for Cleveland
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: he could tour and all of that sounds like farewell tour.
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: But I'm saying if he goes to Cleveland, actually he
- 1:30:07Speaker 1: can help Cleveland. I mean, he would be a benefit there.
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: I don't think he I mean they can afford him.
- 1:30:14Speaker 1: For they can afford him. That's where the statue is
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: gonna be. That's everything they're gonna make it. If I'm salary,
- 1:30:21Speaker 1: But I'm saying what I'm saying is they can make
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: it happen because the team that they have if they don't,
- 1:30:26Speaker 1: like like right now, like Cleveland, really, like we said earlier,
- 1:30:31Speaker 1: they're better than the Pistons, really and truly are the
- 1:30:35Speaker 1: better team. But if he was to go back for
- 1:30:38Speaker 1: another like next year, with that same team and he's
- 1:30:41Speaker 1: additional to it and the pieces, man, they're gonna be
- 1:30:45Speaker 1: quick question. It's not a question quick question, just uh.
- 1:30:49Speaker 5: He's got to ask a Luca, how invested are you
- 1:30:55Speaker 5: in this for me to come back to the Lakers.
- 1:30:58Speaker 5: What if Luca's answer is, I'm one hundred percent invested.
- 1:31:02Speaker 5: I just want a different line up. I want another Superman.
- 1:31:07Speaker 5: I don't need a Batman. I'm not Robin, I'm the Flash.
- 1:31:11Speaker 5: I'm Aquaman, but I'm a standalone hero and I'm carrying you. Now,
- 1:31:18Speaker 5: what if that's Luca's answer, but I need somebody he
- 1:31:21Speaker 5: goes back to Cleveland, somebody like a Donova.
- 1:31:24Speaker 1: Mitchell and James Harden would appreciate that because he can
- 1:31:28Speaker 1: be I'm telling you that's what will be together.
- 1:31:32Speaker 4: Well, James hard cannot play together. Okay, Well, I don't
- 1:31:35Speaker 4: know what we have to look at the contracts. I
- 1:31:38Speaker 4: don't know that the Cleveland team, I don't know who's
- 1:31:41Speaker 4: free agent, and I don't know how long they had
- 1:31:43Speaker 4: signed Harden to be there.
- 1:31:46Speaker 1: Cleveland.
- 1:31:47Speaker 14: Harden will be a free agent, but they but Cleveland
- 1:31:50Speaker 14: would they want to extend them.
- 1:31:52Speaker 4: But Cleveland would move heaven and earth. They would let
- 1:31:55Speaker 4: James Harden float away to bring the Broun home. And
- 1:32:03Speaker 4: the last images of him is in a Cleveland uniform. Sometimes,
- 1:32:09Speaker 4: you know, these these are corporations. These aren't high school teams.
- 1:32:13Speaker 4: We're trying to piece together to always win. So in
- 1:32:18Speaker 4: my opinion, there there is no die on side of
- 1:32:23Speaker 4: Cleveland having Lebron James and James Harden is desperate, yes,
- 1:32:30Speaker 4: and he would stay there. He would try to stay
- 1:32:32Speaker 4: too with Lebron.
- 1:32:34Speaker 14: I don't, I don't. I just don't see them, uh,
- 1:32:39Speaker 14: having both players. I didn't say it, am, I'm just
- 1:32:42Speaker 14: saying it. Everybody wants to go on this team.
- 1:32:45Speaker 1: It's and I don't think they really care about getting
- 1:32:47Speaker 1: along anymore. That might have been the politics of basketball
- 1:32:51Speaker 1: may have been not about personalities. I'm just talking about
- 1:32:54Speaker 1: playing the game. He's not a good fit. Well, yeah, Luca,
- 1:33:00Speaker 1: that I mean, that's the same type of just the
- 1:33:02Speaker 1: one thing about Lebron James is different than a lot
- 1:33:04Speaker 1: of superstars.
- 1:33:05Speaker 4: Lebron James is Magic Johnson. They're on the court and
- 1:33:11Speaker 4: every man all the time. Way it's hard for them
- 1:33:15Speaker 4: to fit. It was hard for Lebron to play with Kyrie.
- 1:33:20Speaker 4: He's it's it's hard to play with ball dominant players.
- 1:33:24Speaker 1: Ball Hall basically, as great as the team is, s
- 1:33:32Speaker 1: g A is not a ball Hall. He doesn't play
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: in that spirit. Luca plays where in Lebron Lebron. No,
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: he's more James. He sees that in his head.
- 1:33:49Speaker 5: Remember I was, Tony dor said, remember when remember when
- 1:33:52Speaker 5: people were I thought I was.
- 1:33:55Speaker 1: When I broke Kenny. Nobody's gonna cass. But they caught
- 1:33:59Speaker 1: you quition. I'm not saying.
- 1:34:01Speaker 5: I'm not saying you wasn't moving sports John. I'm saying
- 1:34:04Speaker 5: they just was moving too.
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: That was my That was the point. Luca tells you
- 1:34:08Speaker 1: that the run is his, you know, the person he
- 1:34:13Speaker 1: wanted to be. It looks like James, but he was
- 1:34:16Speaker 1: watching Lebron. You know, man, lucas watching James Harden. I
- 1:34:22Speaker 1: don't think he looks just like James Harden.
- 1:34:26Speaker 4: Number to serve you thirty six piece spicy, and I
- 1:34:32Speaker 4: don't know whether when you got your thirty six I
- 1:34:35Speaker 4: got my thirty six.
- 1:34:36Speaker 1: It's not mine.
- 1:34:38Speaker 5: It was spicy. We didn't change up the recipe. I
- 1:34:41Speaker 5: remember when they were criticized and can't tell you how
- 1:34:44Speaker 5: many assists, but I can tell how many points I had.
- 1:34:46Speaker 5: Remember when they were criticizing s G A in the finals.
- 1:34:49Speaker 5: I think they may have gotten knocked out of the
- 1:34:53Speaker 5: year before they won. About him not dominating in the
- 1:34:58Speaker 5: clutch situations, like he he's too willing to pass the
- 1:35:01Speaker 5: ball to his teammates.
- 1:35:02Speaker 1: He need to just take over.
- 1:35:04Speaker 5: He's always been more of a uh not the ball hog,
- 1:35:08Speaker 5: seeming like kind of guy out there, and it seems
- 1:35:11Speaker 5: to work for them. So I was gonna say that
- 1:35:14Speaker 5: about James Harden. He's sort of like a Russell Westbrook.
- 1:35:17Speaker 5: Everywhere he go.
- 1:35:18Speaker 1: That chemistry dissolved everywhere he's been well, it's been pretty
- 1:35:22Speaker 1: good in Cleveland. I can say that he and Donovan
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: Mitchell have co exists. I'm telling you that's because they
- 1:35:29Speaker 1: don't have a Lebron there yet.
- 1:35:31Speaker 12: No.
- 1:35:31Speaker 1: But listen, this is this thing. When I say Lebron,
- 1:35:34Speaker 1: can you have to understand I'm just saying that, in
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: my opinion, if Lebron was to go to Cleveland next year,
- 1:35:41Speaker 1: just watching this team, they will be the team to
- 1:35:47Speaker 1: beat in the East at least that next year. I don't.
- 1:35:51Speaker 1: I'm just I'm telling you, it's just hard to not
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: see that. I'd like to see it because he and
- 1:35:57Speaker 1: the only reason and I think that thing what we're
- 1:36:00Speaker 1: agree on. The only reason is because Lebron James can
- 1:36:03Speaker 1: morph into whatever player he wants to be he wants
- 1:36:06Speaker 1: to be at Cleveland. Yeah, he can play center, he
- 1:36:09Speaker 1: can play four three, anything he wants to. He can
- 1:36:13Speaker 1: bring the ball, like last night, Mobley was bringing the
- 1:36:16Speaker 1: ball up the court a couple of times for them,
- 1:36:18Speaker 1: got Donovan Mitchell and uh like, oh man, hold on,
- 1:36:22Speaker 1: James Harden is gonna be James Harden regardless.
- 1:36:24Speaker 12: You know.
- 1:36:25Speaker 4: That's why they had to go to Lebron this year.
- 1:36:28Speaker 4: With the Lakers, Austin Reid and Luca can't change even
- 1:36:35Speaker 4: though they twenty five twenty six, they are locked into
- 1:36:38Speaker 4: that You're the only person on the court can still
- 1:36:42Speaker 4: be dominant doing something that has nothing to do with
- 1:36:45Speaker 4: what you used to do.
- 1:36:46Speaker 1: And the only person and Luca can Luca can't do
- 1:36:49Speaker 1: anything but Luca, And the only person that can possibly
- 1:36:52Speaker 1: go to La and play with Luca is Jiannis. That's
- 1:36:56Speaker 1: it will fit in that right there. So we'll be back.

- 1:39:23Speaker 2: sing Even Jenny, welcome back to this what shock show
- 1:39:28Speaker 2: him the Sportshock Wing Candy.
- 1:39:30Speaker 4: We had two deaths in the NBA here over the
- 1:39:33Speaker 4: last couple of days. I'm not sure the information coming
- 1:39:37Speaker 4: out of Memphis with the Grizzlies Brandon Clark. I don't
- 1:39:42Speaker 4: know if it's been an update on what he passed
- 1:39:45Speaker 4: away from. He's twenty nine years.
- 1:39:47Speaker 1: Old, reportedly speculated to be an overdose. Okay, okay, twenty
- 1:39:54Speaker 1: nine years old, and I think it's been documentation that
- 1:39:57Speaker 1: he was at I had a problem and see I
- 1:40:02Speaker 1: missed the part where he had been struggling with substance.
- 1:40:06Speaker 1: And Jason Collins, the twin brother of Jaron Collins, both players.
- 1:40:12Speaker 1: They went to Stanford, right, Yeah, I think they both
- 1:40:14Speaker 1: were first round picks as well. Jarring and Jason Collins
- 1:40:18Speaker 1: diagnosed with stage four brain cancer back in December.
- 1:40:23Speaker 4: I think when I was reading the article that they
- 1:40:27Speaker 4: just say is rare and very few people live through it.
- 1:40:32Speaker 4: And he passed away at forty seven years old. He's
- 1:40:37Speaker 4: bigger than how the articles write it. That's why I said,
- 1:40:39Speaker 4: it's one thing, you know, people want us. Yes, the
- 1:40:45Speaker 4: point in his career he did let you know about
- 1:40:48Speaker 4: his sexuality, but he was much more than that before
- 1:40:52Speaker 4: he got around to that. Yeah, it seemed like him
- 1:40:57Speaker 4: and his brother were very upstanding men who educated and
- 1:41:03Speaker 4: all those kind of things. And then once he did that,
- 1:41:06Speaker 4: that's all you went to make it seem like he
- 1:41:08Speaker 4: had never done. He had moved around, was good effective
- 1:41:11Speaker 4: guy off the bench.
- 1:41:12Speaker 1: Yeah, he coached the Golden State all that kinds of stuff.
- 1:41:14Speaker 4: But they made it. You know, when you do that
- 1:41:16Speaker 4: one you know one or two things they make that.
- 1:41:19Speaker 4: Now that's how they start had and that's the headline.
- 1:41:23Speaker 4: And I'm thinking this man was so much more, but
- 1:41:26Speaker 4: you want him the champion that which that's what he
- 1:41:28Speaker 4: did as he but some of that was the freedom
- 1:41:30Speaker 4: he was looking for. But he had done other He
- 1:41:33Speaker 4: made it to the NBA. Twins, right, make it the NBA.
- 1:41:39Speaker 4: We talk about all these other brothers.
- 1:41:41Speaker 1: This is the same thing. This was what twenty years
- 1:41:44Speaker 1: twenty five years ago when they got drafted. They got
- 1:41:49Speaker 1: drafted about twenty five years ago. And that's not a
- 1:41:53Speaker 1: we like to talk about the legacies and the lineages
- 1:41:56Speaker 1: now like that's just annoying alized thing. But for like
- 1:42:02Speaker 1: you say, not only siblings, but twins to go to
- 1:42:05Speaker 1: the NBA like a mama was doing something. You know
- 1:42:09Speaker 1: what I mean. I'm saying now, something was going on
- 1:42:11Speaker 1: right in McCarty brothers. Yeah, Devin and Jasons and uh
- 1:42:18Speaker 1: so we had a couple of twins.
- 1:42:20Speaker 4: But much more than how to headline that is part
- 1:42:23Speaker 4: of Jason's story, Champion. He was the first openly gay
- 1:42:28Speaker 4: at the end of his career. But I just always
- 1:42:30Speaker 4: feel like we grab certain words and we start with
- 1:42:34Speaker 4: that and not tell the man that he had accomplished
- 1:42:37Speaker 4: a lot in his life before he got around and
- 1:42:41Speaker 4: need you to know his business that he was gay. Now,
- 1:42:47Speaker 4: I didn't never know that, and I was never gonna
- 1:42:49Speaker 4: hold that against that's that man.
- 1:42:51Speaker 5: I was gonna say, do you think that that was
- 1:42:53Speaker 5: something that he did in an effort to uh push
- 1:43:00Speaker 5: understanding and acceptance forward, or something he did to just
- 1:43:09Speaker 5: put himself into the zeitgeist of relevance, because that's nothing
- 1:43:15Speaker 5: that we ever needed to know. There were never any
- 1:43:18Speaker 5: allegations or distractions concerning his sexuality or questions. We just
- 1:43:24Speaker 5: all sitting around on some Yeah man and they got
- 1:43:26Speaker 5: a big mac coming out, it's gonna be the big
- 1:43:31Speaker 5: arch and yeah, you know I'm gay, what like you know, Well,
- 1:43:36Speaker 5: I don't think he really he made the one statement
- 1:43:40Speaker 5: whenever it came out, and I don't think he really.
- 1:43:43Speaker 1: Jumped on the bandwagon. They thought that he was every
- 1:43:45Speaker 1: time he came out, he was gonna say, oh yeah,
- 1:43:48Speaker 1: I'm the gay guy in the NBA. He still continued
- 1:43:52Speaker 1: to be a basketball player. He still he stayed in
- 1:43:54Speaker 1: basketball mode. I am a NBA, I am this coach
- 1:43:58Speaker 1: now moved from that player. And I don't think that
- 1:44:01Speaker 1: they thought because or whoever the media or whoever thought
- 1:44:05Speaker 1: he because he was gonna be one of these champion
- 1:44:07Speaker 1: persons always uh the picture, but he really it really wasn't.
- 1:44:14Speaker 1: He wasn't about that. He wasn't being that type of person.
- 1:44:17Speaker 1: He just he just see me along. I'm here, I'm
- 1:44:21Speaker 1: gonna give you what you want. I'm gonna let you
- 1:44:22Speaker 1: know who I am, but I'm working.
- 1:44:24Speaker 4: It seemed like a little different in how Michael Sam,
- 1:44:29Speaker 4: everybody Michael Sam seemed like he was using it in
- 1:44:32Speaker 4: some kind of boy of not or Jason Collins seemed
- 1:44:37Speaker 4: like I'm about to start this part of.
- 1:44:39Speaker 1: My life and nothing suggested that he that it was
- 1:44:43Speaker 1: for some form of fame.
- 1:44:46Speaker 4: And I'm gonna take my power from you because soon
- 1:44:48Speaker 4: as you see me walking down the street, you're gonna
- 1:44:52Speaker 4: run it like the.
- 1:44:55Speaker 1: Mike Rabel.
- 1:44:57Speaker 4: How you say your last name Rasini scene, the story
- 1:45:01Speaker 4: where I still every time I see it, I'm still
- 1:45:03Speaker 4: trying to figure out what is the story I read
- 1:45:08Speaker 4: articles about my I'm like other than Mike Rabel and
- 1:45:12Speaker 4: this young lady were cheating on their spouses. I'm still
- 1:45:17Speaker 4: trying to get the But.
- 1:45:18Speaker 1: It's wrong, Okay, man if I bought out everything every
- 1:45:26Speaker 1: Tuesday and Wednesday, responsible Sunday.
- 1:45:29Speaker 14: Moving, morally responsible coaches in the NFL in the end,
- 1:45:34Speaker 14: really responsive journalists them drunk responsible, morally responsible.
- 1:45:44Speaker 1: And that's the thing. And that's the thing.
- 1:45:47Speaker 4: If it had been on the college level, there's an
- 1:45:52Speaker 4: expectation of that kind of like congressional model on the
- 1:46:01Speaker 4: college level, right, that kind of presidential elected official feel
- 1:46:08Speaker 4: like you're supposed to but pro.
- 1:46:12Speaker 1: Whatever they wanted to say, they wanted the same they were,
- 1:46:17Speaker 1: both of them was over right. That's what they say.
- 1:46:24Speaker 1: Got to do with me because because those guys are
- 1:46:27Speaker 1: sitting there and uh, there is something where my kid,
- 1:46:30Speaker 1: my son, and my daughter, I might feel someway as
- 1:46:33Speaker 1: a parent. I didn't.
- 1:46:35Speaker 4: I'm not calling my son that played for the Patriots.
- 1:46:39Speaker 4: How you're holding up with Mike sleeping with the reporter?
- 1:46:44Speaker 1: Yeah? They calling.
- 1:46:48Speaker 5: And I'm sorry, I'm sorry the digging that they've been
- 1:46:52Speaker 5: doing in the Mike Brave BWL. We're sining situation going
- 1:46:57Speaker 5: back almost a decade and a pictures of pictures they
- 1:47:05Speaker 5: hanging out together, kissing when she's like two weeks away
- 1:47:08Speaker 5: from delivering a baby. It's hard for me to believe
- 1:47:11Speaker 5: that somebody ain't no something from dropping a baby. I
- 1:47:16Speaker 5: want to know where you go. Why you taking a.
- 1:47:19Speaker 1: Swimsuit and you bought it up and you bought Mike's
- 1:47:21Speaker 1: name and he was your teammate. Is he that bad
- 1:47:24Speaker 1: of a man that somebody's really going after him that bad?
- 1:47:28Speaker 1: I mean that they're going this far back trying.
- 1:47:29Speaker 4: To find I think all this is just the media
- 1:47:34Speaker 4: seems to have it in for Belichick, Brady and anybody,
- 1:47:43Speaker 4: anybody associated with the Patriots, anybody of a Robert Kraft,
- 1:47:48Speaker 4: any of those. We're not gonna let the greatest head coach. Statistically,
- 1:47:53Speaker 4: not what I'm sitting here thinking. Nobody has six Super Bowls,
- 1:47:59Speaker 4: but this man, man, I don't know. This is not
- 1:48:01Speaker 4: I'm not making this up can an emotional Oh man,
- 1:48:06Speaker 4: you know he he white, black, short, tall, fat. Nobody
- 1:48:11Speaker 4: has six Super Bowls but this man. Yeah, and he
- 1:48:16Speaker 4: in the Hall of Famer. And then don't understand.
- 1:48:18Speaker 1: And then the owner got the nerve to go out
- 1:48:20Speaker 1: and get a massage. He did that one time that
- 1:48:24Speaker 1: I didn't like.
- 1:48:25Speaker 4: A billionaire went to a massage. How they sound like
- 1:48:28Speaker 4: a joke. You and Greg need to put that.
- 1:48:30Speaker 5: The billionaire want billionaire walks into a massage? Stop me

- 1:51:24Speaker 4: Welcome back to this hoy Stock showing him this one
- 1:51:26Speaker 4: shock Wing and Ganny two things coming out of the
- 1:51:29Speaker 4: world of Stephen A.
- 1:51:30Speaker 1: Smith. Steve got the world gassed up? Uh he I
- 1:51:35Speaker 1: don't you know?
- 1:51:35Speaker 4: He's doing it so rapidly now you don't know if
- 1:51:38Speaker 4: it's real or it's just made for TV, made for
- 1:51:42Speaker 4: social media. To last week he's looking trying to get
- 1:51:45Speaker 4: Shannon Sharp back on first take. That's something you can believe.
- 1:51:49Speaker 4: You know, some of us feel like there's different people
- 1:51:53Speaker 4: in the media that might come back at some point.
- 1:51:57Speaker 4: Most we have ran off that we won't let back.
- 1:52:00Speaker 4: Where's Matt Lower? No one knows man.
- 1:52:04Speaker 1: Where in the world is.
- 1:52:08Speaker 5: That used to be a little segment on the Today Show.
- 1:52:11Speaker 5: Now we really want to know where in the world is.
- 1:52:13Speaker 1: Matt Loud yet? But they say he was inappropriate, Matt
- 1:52:18Speaker 1: saying we was doing this for ten years. But now
- 1:52:21Speaker 1: you talk about inappropriate. Man locking on the door it's
- 1:52:24Speaker 1: nothing new new bylaws, man. But what happened last night?
- 1:52:31Speaker 4: I think TJ. Holmes and his young lady Amy, they
- 1:52:37Speaker 4: had like a podcast or doing something. They're trying to
- 1:52:40Speaker 4: come back into the media world. But it seems that
- 1:52:43Speaker 4: not only are the Ray Rice Is sent out into exile,
- 1:52:48Speaker 4: but we have sent a lot of media people. Why
- 1:52:50Speaker 4: why why Shannon trying to get a boat back and
- 1:52:53Speaker 4: stephen A looking to send it to get him.
- 1:52:55Speaker 1: Why are the only things that we that you're unwilling
- 1:53:00Speaker 1: to let people come back from are issues of a
- 1:53:07Speaker 1: personal nature. I can do drugs, I can go to prison,
- 1:53:11Speaker 1: I can do all kinds of stuff. You'll offer me redemption,
- 1:53:14Speaker 1: but you let me get seen talking to a reporter
- 1:53:17Speaker 1: in a hot tub. And now you what I got
- 1:53:20Speaker 1: to go? Don't nobody want to talk to me no more?
- 1:53:23Speaker 1: This is a personal issue. We was talking over personal things. Now.
- 1:53:27Speaker 1: I didn't steal no money from the government. I didn't
- 1:53:30Speaker 1: commit any kind of fraud. We'll partner those people and
- 1:53:35Speaker 1: the thing and everything older than me.
- 1:53:44Speaker 4: And yes, we was all and they still want they
- 1:53:49Speaker 4: want Mike fired, want to go grounds? What you fired
- 1:53:53Speaker 4: a man? He has a lawsuit? What grounds would you
- 1:53:57Speaker 4: unless it was in his contract.
- 1:53:58Speaker 1: That he can't. He can't date while being married. I'm saying,
- 1:54:02Speaker 1: because the only person really seemed like they ought to
- 1:54:04Speaker 1: be married of the spouses, I don't get it.
- 1:54:07Speaker 4: Stephen A says he's trying to get Shannon back. He
- 1:54:09Speaker 4: also came out the fifty eight year old. Uh and
- 1:54:13Speaker 4: when I read it, I just thought of the bad producer,
- 1:54:14Speaker 4: because I know bad produce.
- 1:54:16Speaker 1: My boy, I've been knowing him fifteen years now. He
- 1:54:19Speaker 1: has that same kind of idea of domesticated women. Stephen
- 1:54:24Speaker 1: A says that he only dates women they must be
- 1:54:28Speaker 1: domesticated cook for him. See that's because he actually said
- 1:54:34Speaker 1: that I know how to cook. You know, I like
- 1:54:36Speaker 1: to cook. I don't won't to cook. You know I
- 1:54:40Speaker 1: got that. I feel him.
- 1:54:41Speaker 14: You know, that's why he that's why he won't win
- 1:54:45Speaker 14: the president I mean, so that's what you want to
- 1:54:49Speaker 14: be cooking It that they'll have they'll have a to.
- 1:54:52Speaker 1: That era so we can put the president thing to bed. No, No,
- 1:54:58Speaker 1: it's going to be teased for the year and a half. Wow.
- 1:55:03Speaker 1: NFL scheduling nine international.
- 1:55:06Speaker 29: Games nine nine there's only and the Jaguars sixteen games
- 1:55:12Speaker 29: the season are there sixteen games the season sev seventeen
- 1:55:15Speaker 29: now seventeen, so close to well, there's basically.
- 1:55:19Speaker 4: Half half of the season, and it's grown basically from
- 1:55:21Speaker 4: one about six seven years ago to nine. They will
- 1:55:27Speaker 4: be get sending the Stillers and the Saints, so the
- 1:55:29Speaker 4: Powy they're going down to Rio. They're going to London,
- 1:55:35Speaker 4: which we're used to. I think they have like four
- 1:55:38Speaker 4: of those nine games are in London.
- 1:55:40Speaker 14: Yeah, the Jags are twice. Yeah, because they well they
- 1:55:43Speaker 14: send the Jaguars every year. Well, there was there was
- 1:55:45Speaker 14: a moment.
- 1:55:48Speaker 4: They were selling the idea of the Jags moving yea
- 1:55:54Speaker 4: to London. They been the international team. Some of the
- 1:55:57Speaker 4: first games was to see how it would affect if
- 1:56:00Speaker 4: teams had to go play them over there. Now we
- 1:56:03Speaker 4: know the Jacks are getting a new stadium. I think
- 1:56:07Speaker 4: is it this year?
- 1:56:07Speaker 1: Next year they're going to play down in Gainesville for
- 1:56:09Speaker 1: a year while they renovate the stadium.
- 1:56:11Speaker 4: Is this thing in the next year? Okay, So it
- 1:56:15Speaker 4: looks like they're going to be staying in Jacksonville. But
- 1:56:17Speaker 4: they the London thing with them was at some point
- 1:56:21Speaker 4: their ownership was thinking about moving the team over there.
- 1:56:24Speaker 4: But nine international games and a lot of teams are
- 1:56:29Speaker 4: a lot of fans are excited. These international games are
- 1:56:32Speaker 4: kind of like the Vegas Game where people have just
- 1:56:35Speaker 4: been looking and waiting for a reason to go international
- 1:56:40Speaker 4: in some of these situations. So there you have at
- 1:56:45Speaker 4: the NFLPA is wondering why they can't have the high
- 1:56:49Speaker 4: quality grass that they see that some of these stadiums
- 1:56:53Speaker 4: are instituting for the FIFA World Cup with the World
- 1:56:58Speaker 4: Cup bringing in some other grass.
- 1:57:02Speaker 1: Kentucky, we just got fescue, we just got regular bring
- 1:57:09Speaker 1: that real the NFL, NFL p a head.
- 1:57:14Speaker 5: J uh do you do you do you think that
- 1:57:19Speaker 5: some of what we see from the NFL is their
- 1:57:23Speaker 5: unwillingness to accept that worldwide. They are number two. You're
- 1:57:29Speaker 5: asking me why I ain't got FIFA style grass and
- 1:57:33Speaker 5: FIFA would go because you not FIFA.
- 1:57:36Speaker 16: You just.
- 1:57:39Speaker 1: No, no, no, no. The NFL is gonna get it.
- 1:57:41Speaker 1: They said, they they're gonna put their hand.
- 1:57:43Speaker 5: No I'm saying, but they say it almost as if
- 1:57:47Speaker 5: you've denied us that, and why haven't you?
- 1:57:50Speaker 1: But yeah, you know they didn't know the plug at
- 1:57:53Speaker 1: the moment now is the plug. That's what I'm saying worldwide.
- 1:57:57Speaker 1: They are the number one sport. So until you can
- 1:58:00Speaker 1: catch up with that, some of that is going to
- 1:58:02Speaker 1: be you are the UFL to them, so relaxed.
- 1:58:07Speaker 4: Well, half the stadiums have some kind of artificial turf,
- 1:58:12Speaker 4: So only half the league all soccer is played on grass, right, yes,
- 1:58:16Speaker 4: even international? Yes, here, we've turned some of our stadiums
- 1:58:20Speaker 4: to about half of them are some kind of artificial surface,
- 1:58:23Speaker 4: which is horrible. And I think some of the grass
- 1:58:26Speaker 4: stadiums it's a couple of those teams like the Stellers,
- 1:58:29Speaker 4: they let high school teams or they split stadiums, and
- 1:58:32Speaker 4: that really is what wheres I know Pittsburgh out that
- 1:58:35Speaker 4: they share a stadium with pitt and here and there
- 1:58:39Speaker 4: to let the high schoolers play on a grass field.
- 1:58:42Speaker 4: That you're just not going to be able to replenish that.
- 1:58:45Speaker 4: If they ever got their own stadium and just only
- 1:58:47Speaker 4: play them the turf would be great, but definitely something
- 1:58:52Speaker 4: that the players are demanding. The players don't even really
- 1:58:54Speaker 4: want artificial turf. We've been trying to get that for
- 1:58:59Speaker 4: you years. President Trump did waste. Speaking of FIFA. As
- 1:59:04Speaker 4: we go to the end of the show, the visa
- 1:59:07Speaker 4: bond for World Cup fans that have already confirmed their
- 1:59:11Speaker 4: tickets so they won't have to play the pay the
- 1:59:15Speaker 4: visa bond fifteen thousand dollars. If you already have your ticket,
- 1:59:20Speaker 4: then you won't have to pay that.
- 1:59:22Speaker 5: But if you want to catch a late game and go, man,
- 1:59:25Speaker 5: why don't we go ahead and go on top of travel,
- 1:59:29Speaker 5: lodging and purchasing your ticket, you'll have to pay an
- 1:59:33Speaker 5: additional fifteen thousand dollars to get into the United State.
- 1:59:36Speaker 1: And I think it's like maybe ten eleven countries that
- 1:59:40Speaker 1: this applies to now. So is FIFA the number one
- 1:59:47Speaker 1: money laundering scheme in the world? I mean, how you
- 1:59:51Speaker 1: mean we got so much desire to see this sport
- 1:59:56Speaker 1: that I can charge exorbitant amounts of money for the
- 2:00:01Speaker 1: actual tickets and you'll still pay tens of thousands of
- 2:00:06Speaker 1: dollars to get in the country to come see.
- 2:00:10Speaker 4: I think it's the number one business that we won't
- 2:00:13Speaker 4: ask questions of where where the money money comes?
- 2:00:15Speaker 1: And be hard to track it? Be hard to track.
- 2:00:18Speaker 1: We don't, we don't.
- 2:00:19Speaker 4: We just want to know that you have the billion
- 2:00:21Speaker 4: dollars you got to check to own the team, how
- 2:00:24Speaker 4: you generated, how built are.
- 2:00:27Speaker 1: Hosted the World Cup. They had the money. You how
- 2:00:31Speaker 1: you got that has nothing got it? That has nothing
- 2:00:34Speaker 1: to do with it. That cross our minds. That's a
- 2:00:36Speaker 1: Western concept concept, get proof of proof of income income,
- 2:00:44Speaker 1: We're Columbia. That what you mean proof of income? Stop
- 2:00:48Speaker 1: playing uh and we all ocean. The truth is he
- 2:00:54Speaker 1: will throw your in the ocean.
- 2:00:56Speaker 6: It's time to wrap things up on the Sports Shut
- 2:01:00Speaker 6: Show with Wayne Kenny.
- 2:01:27Speaker 4: When you're the sounds an ocean sports shot, just a
- 2:01:29Speaker 4: minute event. We'd like to thank you for tuning in

- 2:01:37Speaker 4: We hope you have enjoyed this week shows come at you,
- 2:01:40Speaker 4: Greg Big Canny Bad producer. Thank you for your contributions
- 2:01:44Speaker 4: to the show. If you missed any of the show,
- 2:01:46Speaker 4: you can go to Apple Podcasts, Amazon Podcasts, Audible, Deezer, iHeartRadio, Spotify,
- 2:01:54Speaker 4: and here the replay. The more and more I thought
- 2:01:58Speaker 4: about it, it's similar to the Weather pakiaw fight forty
- 2:02:03Speaker 4: nine year old Mayweather forty eight year old Mani pak Yaw.
- 2:02:07Speaker 4: I started thinking about it, Dude, I really want to
- 2:02:11Speaker 4: see two old ladies beat each other up. Ronda Rousey
- 2:02:17Speaker 4: is fighting Gina Carrero this weekend for you that want
- 2:02:22Speaker 4: to see some mma. One of them's forty and the
- 2:02:25Speaker 4: other one that's forty four. Are you really into elderly abuse?
- 2:02:29Speaker 4: I mean, neither one of these young ladies have fought
- 2:02:32Speaker 4: in like a decade. I hope it's going for free,
- 2:02:37Speaker 4: because that's the only way I'm watching. I just can't, dude,
- 2:02:41Speaker 4: I don't want to see old people beat up on
- 2:02:44Speaker 4: old people.
- 2:02:46Speaker 1: I just really that doesn't interest me. I'd like to
- 2:02:48Speaker 1: see athletes at their peak, at their.
- 2:02:50Speaker 4: Prime, if they was twenty eight and thirty two, yes,
- 2:02:55Speaker 4: but forty and forty four just does not do.
- 2:02:59Speaker 1: It for me. Come in and she greg as far as.
- 2:03:03Speaker 4: All out brawl between two women mother mothers and things
- 2:03:09Speaker 4: like that when you were single and no kid and
- 2:03:12Speaker 4: no husband and all that the cool your daughter gonna
- 2:03:16Speaker 4: be clicking on this, mama, you got knocked out hard,
- 2:03:21Speaker 4: that kind of thing. So I know, bad producer. He'll
- 2:03:24Speaker 4: be there with extra butter on the popcorn. I might
- 2:03:28Speaker 4: if it's free. Y'all have to let me know. I
- 2:03:30Speaker 4: will not be paying. And it gotta come on, and
- 2:03:34Speaker 4: one other things to it gotta come on early too.
- 2:03:37Speaker 4: Can't be that old boxing where y'all are gonna hit
- 2:03:40Speaker 4: the stage until twelve fifteen and think you're.
- 2:03:43Speaker 5: Gonna miss a middle grade graduation for this. You the
- 2:03:47Speaker 5: middle school graduation running around Netflix flicks and it's made
- 2:03:52Speaker 5: for that audience, isn't it. Netflix Chill about to chill.
- 2:03:58Speaker 5: I always think of Netflix and smoke.
- 2:04:01Speaker 1: Ah. It sounds like that goes together. More depending on
- 2:04:05Speaker 1: how you check, depends on how you how you chill.
- 2:04:10Speaker 1: I'm not judging. I'm not judging. From the Sports Jock Show,
- 2:04:17Speaker 1: We'll see you in the future. Peace.
- 2:04:21Speaker 12: M
