- 0:00Speaker 1: I saw this story.
- 0:01Speaker 2: It says you can now hire people to deck out
- 0:04Speaker 2: your porch and pumpkins to prepare for trick-or-treaters.
- 0:07Speaker 1: And I said this.
- 0:07Speaker 2: I went over to pick up this buddy of mine
- 0:09Speaker 2: the other day, and I went to his house. His
- 0:10Speaker 2: house was decorated like crazy, but more like Thanksgiving autumn vibes.
- 0:14Speaker 1: You know what I'm talking about?
- 0:14Speaker 2: Like that whole thing. What are the horns aplenty and
- 0:16Speaker 2: all that stuff?
- 0:17Speaker 1: All the wreaths.
- 0:18Speaker 2: It was more like Thanksgiving. But this person, there's a
- 0:20Speaker 2: woman in Texas going viral. Her name's Heather Torres. She
- 0:24Speaker 2: has a small business called Porch Pumpkins. She charges between
- 0:27Speaker 2: $ 350 and $ 1, 650 to decorate. Sheesh. She does over 1,300
- 0:35Speaker 2: homes a year.
- 0:36Speaker 1: Wow, she's rolling.
- 0:37Speaker 2: Yeah, she does a lot of pumpkins.
- 0:38Speaker 3: I lay some as they come, but then I also
- 0:41Speaker 3: will turn some on their sides. We will cross over
- 0:44Speaker 3: the 1,000 threshold today, actually, And those are 1,000 different porches.
- 0:50Speaker 2: Friends have been asking me, like, would.
- 0:52Speaker 3: You do a pumpkin display like yours for my home?
- 0:55Speaker 4: No, I was not born with the love of.
- 0:56Speaker 3: Pumpkins, but I have loved them ever since I.
- 1:01Speaker 2: Was a mom. Heather started the business back in 2020
- 1:04Speaker 2: and apparently rakes over $ 100, 000 a year. She also sells
- 1:08Speaker 2: coaching sessions to help other people around the country start
- 1:11Speaker 2: their porch pumpkin concierge business.
- 1:13Speaker 1: Oh, that's great.
- 1:13Speaker 5: It's literally like how when people hire to go deck
- 1:17Speaker 5: out their dorm rooms or go.
- 1:18Speaker 4: Yeah, that's totally true. It's literally find and have a
- 1:21Speaker 4: need fill a need. That's right.
- 1:22Speaker 6: Kind of what's happening with my wife, Stacy, right now,
- 1:25Speaker 6: her aunt's moving houses. And she said, all of my
- 1:28Speaker 6: stuff seems dated. Will you go shopping with me? And
- 1:31Speaker 6: Stacy's like, no, I will not. I will just go
- 1:33Speaker 6: shopping and decorate your whole place for you. So she
- 1:36Speaker 6: got a check from her aunt and her aunt keeps
- 1:40Speaker 6: on wanting to stop by the new place to see
- 1:42Speaker 6: how things are coming along. Stacey will send her a
- 1:45Speaker 6: note and say, no, stay away until I'm totally done.
- 1:49Speaker 4: What if she doesn't like it, though?
- 1:50Speaker 6: Well, she trusted her, I guess, because, you know, Stacey's
- 1:53Speaker 6: got that kind of thing.
- 1:54Speaker 1: Like furniture in the inside of the coffee pots.
- 1:57Speaker 6: I'm talking silverware, bedding and tables, lamps, because what happens
- 2:03Speaker 6: is it all gets shipped to my house. And then
- 2:05Speaker 6: I got to carry over to her aunt's house. And
- 2:07Speaker 6: then Stacey justifies it. I'm talking pillows for couches, carpets, everything.
- 2:13Speaker 6: So she just literally finished her aunt's house yesterday.
- 2:17Speaker 4: She needs to expand the Haisley.
- 2:18Speaker 5: Like, it needs to be Haisley custom event space and
- 2:22Speaker 5: the Haisley custom decor.
- 2:24Speaker 1: I just want Haisley design. But how does she do that?
- 2:28Speaker 2: A wedding venue and then have time to decorate someone's house.
- 2:31Speaker 2: She always takes on exercise. Is it just online or
- 2:33Speaker 2: does she go to stores and stuff and pick stuff up?
- 2:34Speaker 6: Well, she went into, like, living spaces to get, you know,
- 2:36Speaker 6: to pick out the couches and the bed. But a
- 2:38Speaker 6: lot of the stuff I think she finds, you know, on,
- 2:40Speaker 6: you know, Etsy or Wayfair or any of those things.
- 2:43Speaker 1: I would say Hobby Lobby.
- 2:45Speaker 6: Well, I know I went with her to HomeGoods last
- 2:47Speaker 6: week to go get, you know, things. But I will
- 2:50Speaker 6: put a picture up of her aunt's place that was
- 2:53Speaker 6: just totally, I mean, she just bought like a little.
- 2:55Speaker 2: Oh, you have like a before and after you mean?
- 2:57Speaker 1: I don't know if she has it before, but I
- 2:58Speaker 1: have it after.
- 2:58Speaker 2: Oh, she should do– if she could do that, she
- 3:00Speaker 2: should do one of those transition videos on TikTok where
- 3:02Speaker 2: it's an empty house and then she snaps her fingers.
- 3:04Speaker 1: She might have taken pictures of the empty house. I
- 3:06Speaker 1: just asked her for some pictures.
- 3:07Speaker 6: But I haven't walked in there yet, but I've seen
- 3:09Speaker 6: the pictures and I'd be like, go ahead. In fact,
- 3:12Speaker 6: I did do that in my house.
- 3:13Speaker 1: Go ahead. Do whatever you want. She was going to
- 3:16Speaker 1: do that anyway.
- 3:17Speaker 2: So is she going to open this up to other
- 3:19Speaker 2: people or she just did it for her aunt?
- 3:21Speaker 6: That's the thing is a few people that have helped
- 3:23Speaker 6: her with it, like you need to do this for
- 3:24Speaker 6: my friend or this person.
- 3:26Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 3:26Speaker 1: And I think Stacey likes that stuff.
- 3:28Speaker 4: Kyle just gave her the name, the Haisley Design. Like,
- 3:31Speaker 4: that is so good.
- 3:32Speaker 1: That's pretty cool.
- 3:33Speaker 2: But the thing that we're just kind of overlooking is
- 3:35Speaker 2: that the aunt wrote a check for a certain amount
- 3:37Speaker 2: of money.
- 3:38Speaker 1: Like a pretty good check.
- 3:39Speaker 5: Right.
- 3:39Speaker 4: I hope to live a life like that one day.
- 3:42Speaker 6: But the problem I have with it is Stacey went
- 3:44Speaker 6: over budget and I paid for that.
- 3:49Speaker 2: I could do that for her. She could do it
- 3:50Speaker 2: to my house, but she has to go to the
- 3:51Speaker 2: dollar store.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:52Speaker 2: And that's limited to no spray.
- 3:54Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 3:54Speaker 1: You could go there and, you know, five below. That's it.
- 3:58Speaker 2: Post whatever picture you can.
- 3:59Speaker 1: She sent you up on our Instagram.
