- Lucas: Välkommen tillbaka, allihopa! This is Learn Swedish with Fexingo, episode 71. I'm Lucas. Luna: And I'm Luna. Hey Lucas, last time we bought fruit at the market. Today, can we go to a bakery? I'm craving some bread. Lucas: Absolutely. Let's learn how to buy bread at a bakery. Ready for a few phrases? Luna: Yes! Let's start. Lucas: First, you say 'Jag vill ha ett bröd.' That means 'I want a loaf of bread.' Let's say it together: Jag vill ha ett bröd. Luna: Jag vill ha ett bröd. Jag vill ha ett bröd. Lucas: Good! So if you see a sourdough loaf, you can ask 'Har ni surdegsbröd?' — 'Do you have sourdough bread?' Say it with me: Har ni surdegsbröd? Luna: Har ni surdegsbröd? That's a mouthful! Har ni surdegsbröd? Lucas: You got it. And if you want a couple of rolls, you say 'Jag tar två frallor.' Frallor are small bread rolls. Jag tar två frallor. Luna: Jag tar två frallor. Two frallor, please! Lucas: Then you ask for the price: 'Hur mycket kostar det?' We've used that before. Hur mycket kostar det? Luna: Hur mycket kostar det? Easy. Lucas: And to ask for a bag: 'Kan jag få en påse?' Kan jag få en påse? Luna: Kan jag få en påse? That's useful. Lucas: Let's put it together. Imagine you walk into a bakery. You see sourdough bread. What do you say? Luna: Har ni surdegsbröd? Lucas: Yes! The baker says yes. So you say 'Jag vill ha ett bröd.' Then you also want two rolls: 'Jag tar två frallor.' Then you ask for the total: 'Hur mycket kostar det?' And finally: 'Kan jag få en påse?' Perfect. Luna: Okay, I think I have it. Let me try: Har ni surdegsbröd? Jag vill ha ett bröd och jag tar två frallor. Hur mycket kostar det? Kan jag få en påse? Lucas: That was excellent, Luna! You ordered like a pro. Luna: Thanks! This is making me hungry though. I love how Swedish bakeries always smell so good. Lucas: They do. And speaking of things that feel good — if Fexingo has been helping you make progress with Swedish, and you'd like to support the show so we can keep making it ad-free, you can buy us a coffee at buy me a coffee dot com slash fexingo. Lucas: Hur mycket kostar det? Luna: Hur mycket kostar det? Lucas: Kan jag få en påse? Luna: Kan jag få en påse? Lucas: Great. Now you're ready to buy bread in Swedish.
