Abdul El-Sayed has pulled off a dramatic win in Michigan’s Democratic Senate primary, defeating Haley Stevens in a tight race that saw endorsements from AOC, Sanders, and Tlaib. Though he lost his 2018 gubernatorial bid to Gretchen Whitmer, El-Sayed brings seasoned campaign experience into this rematch.
