- 0:38Speaker 3: No TV here on this Friday morning weekend. Vibes all
- 0:42Speaker 3: over the place. The yo's hit a little different with
- 0:46Speaker 3: the instinct Christmas music. I'm trying to like find the
- 0:49Speaker 3: spot to jump in there.
- 0:51Speaker 4: Yep, it's still That was the first time I think
- 0:52Speaker 4: I've heard the very beginning of the intro the new
- 0:55Speaker 4: Christmas intro, and I didn't know.
- 0:56Speaker 5: It said Sanna's Little Helpers.
- 1:01Speaker 6: The other one I think says a cozy chat about
- 1:05Speaker 6: sports or something.
- 1:06Speaker 5: Like little chat. Yeah, a little crop dust.
- 1:08Speaker 7: But y'all are sent his Little Helpers.
- 1:11Speaker 3: Sure, Yeah, we're here, ye Jake Flynn a Launder Tae
- 1:16Speaker 3: feels like a normal situation, getting back after te gets
- 1:20Speaker 3: back from vacation.
- 1:21Speaker 8: We had an intro in like a week either me
- 1:25Speaker 8: or Cassi.
- 1:25Speaker 7: Don't do him.
- 1:26Speaker 6: Yeah, I feel like that's something that only Taylor. I
- 1:28Speaker 6: feel like a weather man when I'm doing it, and
- 1:31Speaker 6: I don't want Jordan. Jordan doesn't, but he does them
- 1:35Speaker 6: in Taylor's like he does his white Boy boy.
- 1:38Speaker 9: Jordan's impersonates me, and look, I'm all good with impersonations.
- 1:42Speaker 10: It's awful.
- 1:44Speaker 7: It's not Taylor, but it is white Boy right. Yeah,
- 1:48Speaker 7: it's more like skater.
- 1:49Speaker 4: Broy For the ones that will do it, is it
- 1:51Speaker 4: like a line in the sand, like I'm not doing it?
- 1:53Speaker 5: Or does Taylor just do it voluntarily?
- 1:55Speaker 7: He's Taylor like voluntarily does okay? But you get ready?
- 1:59Speaker 9: Yeah, well because like the show, you get Sports Center
- 2:04Speaker 9: at the top of the hour, but they don't do
- 2:05Speaker 9: it till like two o'clock, you know, not like it.
- 2:08Speaker 7: I missed it and I forgot it yesterday.
- 2:10Speaker 8: I missed it. Uh well was here yesterday.
- 2:13Speaker 7: Yeah, but I didn't do it.
- 2:14Speaker 5: But sometimes he does.
- 2:15Speaker 10: There's a chance I forgot to.
- 2:17Speaker 4: Sometimes he does previews some topics and some segments that
- 2:20Speaker 4: were like what that's.
- 2:21Speaker 8: What we're talking about, but we don't cover him. I
- 2:24Speaker 8: do want to see Cassie. I have to do it
- 2:27Speaker 8: one time. We got for her.
- 2:28Speaker 3: Next she comes in, we'll make it act like hey,
- 2:31Speaker 3: like it's part of the contract, Like we kind of have.
- 2:33Speaker 8: To do it. Needed. Yeah, just we'll be if she does,
- 2:41Speaker 8: will totally be lying, but you'll still.
- 2:43Speaker 10: We'll just force her to do the show.
- 2:45Speaker 9: Like I don't know what I'm gonna be out next,
- 2:46Speaker 9: but like if she's all before me, I'll do audio Cassie.
- 2:49Speaker 10: Cassie's here, we'll force her to do the show.
- 2:52Speaker 5: I like it.
- 2:54Speaker 8: You're gonna You're not supposed to tell you.
- 2:55Speaker 3: I don't have a Branson scheduled March trip yet.
- 2:59Speaker 6: No, No, I'm gonna be out the week of Christmas.
- 3:03Speaker 7: Well, I'll be here Monday, but I'll Tuesday go back home.
- 3:06Speaker 5: Yeah, I'll telllor Is there.
- 3:08Speaker 4: There's got to be some sort of like yard work conference,
- 3:11Speaker 4: like a yearly thing, like a national yard working conference
- 3:15Speaker 4: where like all of the lawnmower companies.
- 3:17Speaker 9: That's normally like all the weight eater companies late April
- 3:20Speaker 9: early May, you know, because like.
- 3:21Speaker 5: Summer Vegas, like a big deal con No, it's not
- 3:26Speaker 5: a vague.
- 3:26Speaker 9: Actually right, and Walker, I don't know where a lawnmower
- 3:30Speaker 9: convention would be, screams the moynes Iowa.
- 3:35Speaker 10: The moynes Iowa somewhere in there.
- 3:38Speaker 3: Like that's that's a good point. He'll be there, Oh,
- 3:41Speaker 3: he'll be there. You're out that week to which week Christmas?
- 3:48Speaker 8: Well?
- 3:48Speaker 5: Yeah, it's Christmas.
- 3:49Speaker 9: I mean technically technically is only working two days that week.
- 3:53Speaker 3: Yeah, but I think he's out the two days. I
- 3:55Speaker 3: think the launder is out the two days as well.
- 3:57Speaker 5: One mm hmm, excuse me?
- 4:02Speaker 8: Have the year out both?
- 4:03Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 4:05Speaker 8: Were you for sure? I'm going going to do Christmas
- 4:09Speaker 8: things where here?
- 4:11Speaker 4: Maybe you're going to be in town listening town by myself.
- 4:16Speaker 8: We're going to going out of town.
- 4:18Speaker 3: Going out of town. Sudden't count to go shopping.
- 4:25Speaker 10: Conference.
- 4:26Speaker 7: There's a long care expo.
- 4:27Speaker 10: Where is it in Tampa?
- 4:29Speaker 5: Tampa? There's a conference for everything?
- 4:32Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 4:33Speaker 10: I love that. Temple of makes sense.
- 4:35Speaker 9: Like a lot of people retire, like the houses and
- 4:38Speaker 9: stuff down there, they're not cutting their grass.
- 4:40Speaker 10: That kind of makes sense.
- 4:41Speaker 5: Yeah, look at this zero turn?
- 4:44Speaker 8: Is that what the the Bad Boys Mower Bowl is
- 4:48Speaker 8: that in Tampa?
- 4:50Speaker 3: Might feel like it after hearing this news, you know,
- 4:53Speaker 3: has to be so like alla Bad Boys Mower Bowl something.
- 4:56Speaker 4: So at the lawn Care National Conference, like of course
- 5:00Speaker 4: there'll be mowers.
- 5:03Speaker 8: Okay, then it makes it.
- 5:06Speaker 5: H Let's see, you'd have like weed and feed.
- 5:08Speaker 4: You would have probably like some spray turf type people,
- 5:11Speaker 4: maybe some French drain companies there. You know me, I
- 5:15Speaker 4: know we're getting soon. I told you where we got
- 5:17Speaker 4: this project happened at the house. Well, I'm carving out
- 5:20Speaker 4: the French drain part for me.
- 5:21Speaker 3: Whime you've actually done something towards the French drains.
- 5:25Speaker 4: I've never done a French drain, not even close. So
- 5:29Speaker 4: it's one of these things situations where I'm gonna teach myself.
- 5:31Speaker 2: Hm.
- 5:32Speaker 4: So I've watched some videos already, but like when it
- 5:34Speaker 4: d when the time comes, I'll be I'll be locked
- 5:36Speaker 4: in to a lot of videos, uh, and I'll be
- 5:40Speaker 4: working hand in hand with whoever is going to be
- 5:42Speaker 4: working with some landscaping, just to make sure I'm on.
- 5:47Speaker 8: The right right path. At least. You know, water didn't
- 5:51Speaker 8: drain uphill, so I got to remember that.
- 5:54Speaker 6: No, that does a thing called gravity that prevents that
- 5:59Speaker 6: from happening.
- 6:00Speaker 8: The song and the whole deal.
- 6:02Speaker 9: Yeah, yeah, So Bad Boy Mower's sponsors of the Pinstripe Bowl.
- 6:08Speaker 8: Mm hmm.
- 6:08Speaker 9: They used to sponsor the Gasparilla Bowl, which is in Tampa,
- 6:12Speaker 9: which was in Tampa, so they switched.
- 6:15Speaker 4: All right, all right, give it why don't you just
- 6:16Speaker 4: go ahead and give a shout out to your favorite
- 6:17Speaker 4: brand of mower.
- 6:20Speaker 7: We can get you a deal.
- 6:21Speaker 10: I have a Troy Built, so I guess I'll go
- 6:23Speaker 10: Troy Built.
- 6:24Speaker 5: Okay. Do you like sharpen your own blades?
- 6:28Speaker 9: They say you're supecially sharp with your blades. I've never
- 6:30Speaker 9: done that one time by life.
- 6:32Speaker 7: That's why doesn't look good.
- 6:34Speaker 10: Okay, that's crossing the line I think you're getting.
- 6:37Speaker 4: I think we're giving Taylor a little bit too much
- 6:39Speaker 4: credit for being the lawn guy.
- 6:41Speaker 5: He didn't even sharpen his own blades.
- 6:42Speaker 10: But we need to.
- 6:43Speaker 8: Some part of me like.
- 6:46Speaker 3: It's kind of gritty, and he's like, the way I
- 6:49Speaker 3: cut it, the blades really don't matter.
- 6:51Speaker 4: It sounds like he cares enough to talk about it,
- 6:55Speaker 4: but he doesn't care enough about it to maintain his twools.
- 7:00Speaker 7: M it's got to maintain the tools.
- 7:04Speaker 10: It's grass. I just don't like the blade has to
- 7:07Speaker 10: be that.
- 7:07Speaker 4: It's an athlete, not work it out sculpting the guns.
- 7:13Speaker 7: It's true.
- 7:16Speaker 5: I don't know what.
- 7:18Speaker 7: I don't disagree with you.
- 7:20Speaker 10: To be honest, guys, I didn't think we're gonna start
- 7:22Speaker 10: the show this way.
- 7:24Speaker 3: Well, you never quite know how it's gonna start. You know,
- 7:27Speaker 3: the opening segment is a blank space. It's a blank
- 7:30Speaker 3: space for a reason. You gotta let it happen organically,
- 7:34Speaker 3: certainly on a Friday.
- 7:36Speaker 7: We're all about the vibes today.
- 7:37Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm gonna be spending my Friday night down to Laplace, Louisiana. Okay,
- 7:43Speaker 3: you high Saint Charles Catholic. Let's go supposed to be.
- 7:47Speaker 8: A rainy game.
- 7:48Speaker 5: Oh, football weather.
- 7:50Speaker 8: See.
- 7:51Speaker 3: I kind of like that football weather more than like
- 7:52Speaker 3: you like the freezing cold snow.
- 7:54Speaker 5: Oh I hate rain. Rain is not football weather.
- 7:56Speaker 3: See, but for me it is because that means I'm
- 7:57Speaker 3: about to tote this thing. So the quarterback can't getting
- 8:01Speaker 3: a lot of a lot of passes up.
- 8:03Speaker 5: Well, I guess whatever to teach his own. Rain games stink?
- 8:10Speaker 8: You like them? Oh?
- 8:12Speaker 4: No, I hate them by man, because I can't spend
- 8:14Speaker 4: that thing. I wasn't the best web all throer, our
- 8:18Speaker 4: drive authorer or what drive a cool?
- 8:24Speaker 8: Uh? So I'm looking forward to it.
- 8:27Speaker 3: Weather's not gonna be great, but I'm looking forward to
- 8:29Speaker 3: a great high school game.
- 8:31Speaker 8: Uh.
- 8:31Speaker 3: These two teams played each other. I think it was
- 8:33Speaker 3: a Taylor two years ago. Yeah, Sat Charles Catholic won
- 8:37Speaker 3: the game down there in Laplace. I've heard that it's
- 8:39Speaker 3: tough to play down there. Haven't seen a game.
- 8:41Speaker 10: There, So they're they're a juggernaut this year too.
- 8:44Speaker 3: So we we did scrimmage him earlier in the year
- 8:47Speaker 3: and that went well for you High. So we'll see
- 8:49Speaker 3: if the if the scrimmage is going to be the
- 8:52Speaker 3: same as the actual game.
- 8:53Speaker 4: Yep, but let me ask you this is there like
- 8:56Speaker 4: for the uhiad game, you think there's gonna be like
- 8:58Speaker 4: any players for you High, like might have just made
- 9:02Speaker 4: a life changing decision, one that has sign his favorite Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 9:08Speaker 4: it's gonna be one.
- 9:08Speaker 8: Yeah, okay, yeah, I'll be watching him. Okay, yeah, he's
- 9:12Speaker 8: like yeah, he's doing.
- 9:13Speaker 7: Throw him up l and see what he does.
- 9:16Speaker 8: Like backwards or frontwards? Please just do it backwards.
- 9:19Speaker 9: You are backwards ill when your normal hands available.
- 9:23Speaker 3: Okay, all right, I know, look, I know that it's
- 9:26Speaker 3: on me. It is it's on me to get to
- 9:28Speaker 3: the finish line here. Oh question for y'all, it's on
- 9:32Speaker 3: you to give the fish line for sure. Yeah yeah, yeah,
- 9:35Speaker 3: So I.
- 9:35Speaker 4: Heard one of the recruit I think it was the
- 9:38Speaker 4: was it the defensive linement from Edna Carr. The other day,
- 9:40Speaker 4: he kind of like gave a talk. He had the
- 9:43Speaker 4: microphone at his at his high schoo announcement, which I
- 9:45Speaker 4: thought he did a really nice job with Some of
- 9:48Speaker 4: those things can be kind of cringey sometimes around the country.
- 9:50Speaker 5: That was not. I thought he did a nice job.
- 9:54Speaker 4: But I'm pretty sure at the end of it he said,
- 9:56Speaker 4: go ahead and put me in the box talking about
- 9:59Speaker 4: the toy box.
- 10:01Speaker 5: I was.
- 10:04Speaker 10: Upset though. I think they switched not.
- 10:06Speaker 5: The toy box.
- 10:07Speaker 4: Well, it's like the screenshot, which is so much better
- 10:10Speaker 4: than the toy like.
- 10:11Speaker 7: Calling or whatever. Yeah, but yeah, yeah, And I was
- 10:15Speaker 7: like I heard of it.
- 10:16Speaker 4: So he was like doing such a great job, and
- 10:18Speaker 4: he said, well, go and put me in the box.
- 10:20Speaker 5: I was like, no, you ruined it.
- 10:24Speaker 8: You really hate that toy box.
- 10:26Speaker 7: It's objectively it's.
- 10:27Speaker 3: Actually though it is like an actual box, not a photo.
- 10:29Speaker 3: That's what Actually you told me that because I was
- 10:32Speaker 3: making fun of it. I was like, why would they
- 10:33Speaker 3: spend the effort to do all this stuff, actually toy
- 10:36Speaker 3: box that they built and it we should say we
- 10:40Speaker 3: like because they're not using it anymore.
- 10:42Speaker 8: Maybe throwing a little donation from O TV, like we
- 10:45Speaker 8: get it in our office.
- 10:46Speaker 7: Okay, I approve that'd be kind of way.
- 10:51Speaker 8: I think it is.
- 10:52Speaker 10: And it's not just an old tanning bed, No way.
- 10:55Speaker 5: An old tanning bed just vertical? Are their vertical tanning?
- 11:00Speaker 8: I don't know. I'm just lay down right, yeah, like
- 11:03Speaker 8: the ones I've seen.
- 11:06Speaker 5: Does anybody do that anymore?
- 11:08Speaker 7: People all the time with this information they have about
- 11:14Speaker 7: final destination? Yeah? I think yeah, I just do a
- 11:18Speaker 7: little self.
- 11:20Speaker 8: Chat. Do people still actually lay down in a tanning bed.
- 11:26Speaker 4: With the lights because I know you can go, you
- 11:28Speaker 4: can go get like the spray tan but like, do
- 11:31Speaker 4: they have them hot lights on you?
- 11:33Speaker 7: I think they still have them see them.
- 11:35Speaker 3: With the with the goggles, mad I get your thoughts
- 11:38Speaker 3: on this. Blake says, I'm in a Notre Dame Pioneers
- 11:43Speaker 3: when tonight we play Brayden Allen in the Dome next
- 11:48Speaker 3: week break down from.
- 11:49Speaker 8: L c A.
- 11:50Speaker 3: Right, correct, So he's basically saying l c A is
- 11:54Speaker 3: already beaten die.
- 11:55Speaker 5: Well, they got quite a team to go through tonight, Pal.
- 11:59Speaker 8: Thanks you.
- 12:00Speaker 5: They actually they do that.
- 12:01Speaker 10: It's really good?
- 12:02Speaker 5: Is really good?
- 12:02Speaker 3: Well, he's counting the real plays, counting on being on
- 12:05Speaker 3: the bell already, you like to have a rebuttal.
- 12:08Speaker 4: I'm assuming they're playing a night and they didn't play
- 12:10Speaker 4: last night. Did I miss it?
- 12:11Speaker 8: No?
- 12:11Speaker 3: No, by place all high school like playoff games that
- 12:14Speaker 3: I think they're moved on a Friday.
- 12:16Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I know they're good. So what Dunham's coming
- 12:21Speaker 4: to town, making the trip to Lafayette.
- 12:23Speaker 8: They're gonna beat the brakes off them. School prediction.
- 12:29Speaker 4: Fifty five nothing, fifty five nothing. No, we're gonna go.
- 12:32Speaker 4: It's gonna be a Tai one. It's gonna be Thailand.
- 12:34Speaker 4: Forty four, forty two, forty four, forty two. Okay, done
- 12:39Speaker 4: so defense optional, yep, okay, yeah, defense optional. That's pretty
- 12:44Speaker 4: much how those games. Just go ahead. And I'd be
- 12:46Speaker 4: raining too, so forty two forty.
- 12:50Speaker 9: Take four points.
- 12:56Speaker 3: Let us know in the chat I did this last
- 12:58Speaker 3: week on off campus.
- 13:00Speaker 8: It was so much fun.
- 13:01Speaker 3: I was like, you know, fortunate enough to be a
- 13:04Speaker 3: national radio show, so I'm like, hey, where are you
- 13:06Speaker 3: watching your high school playoff game tonight?
- 13:09Speaker 8: And it was so cool.
- 13:09Speaker 3: We got so many different states and different cities, and
- 13:13Speaker 3: it was funny because.
- 13:16Speaker 8: One person they were in Iowa and they were like.
- 13:19Speaker 3: We're at wherever, and our head coach is former NFL
- 13:23Speaker 3: tight end Scott Chandler. And we started to read that
- 13:26Speaker 3: and I was like, wait a minute, Scott Chandler was
- 13:28Speaker 3: my teammate in San Diego and he's just like he
- 13:29Speaker 3: was my teammate in Buffalo. So it's kind of cool.
- 13:31Speaker 3: Somebody's like giving a shout out to their head coach.
- 13:34Speaker 3: Was they were listening and they had no idea that
- 13:35Speaker 3: that was actually one of our former teammates. And so
- 13:37Speaker 3: we got Idaho, we had Iowa, Nebraska, Ohio. Big in
- 13:42Speaker 3: the Midwest is all off campus. Most of users are
- 13:46Speaker 3: in Big Ten country. But it was really it was
- 13:49Speaker 3: really cool, just like the stadium, the matchup, how many
- 13:53Speaker 3: times they've played this team, and all that kind of stuff.
- 13:55Speaker 8: So I'd love to have some of that today.
- 13:57Speaker 3: I know it's not going to be as big because
- 13:59Speaker 3: here in Louisiana we're in the semi finals, but let
- 14:02Speaker 3: us know, will you'll be watching some high school football tonight.
- 14:05Speaker 8: Love to get some shout outs across the state.
- 14:06Speaker 4: Yeah, for sure, And good luck to all the high
- 14:09Speaker 4: school coaches, teams players out there. I mean, this is uh,
- 14:13Speaker 4: you know, when I was in high school. The furthest
- 14:15Speaker 4: I ever made it was a semi finals. So and
- 14:18Speaker 4: that when I look back on my football career, uh,
- 14:22Speaker 4: that is the one that sometimes keeps me up at night.
- 14:25Speaker 8: So if the center wouldn't have snapped it over your head.
- 14:30Speaker 5: Wasn't over that, I wouldn't. I wouldn't behind the center
- 14:32Speaker 5: when he snapped. Oh, even worse. It's all on us.
- 14:35Speaker 5: It's all. It's all. It's a team effort.
- 14:37Speaker 8: Something you said off the air.
- 14:39Speaker 3: No, you said your center is somebody that you've forsaken
- 14:42Speaker 3: for life because of it. Nope, nope, good hurt, great guy,
- 14:46Speaker 3: Sill and Tyler. Yeah yeah, okay, yeah, oh yeah doctor actually,
- 14:51Speaker 3: oh wow, okay medical doctor mm hmm, like a never mind,
- 14:58Speaker 3: all right, we'll take a break when we come back.
- 15:01Speaker 3: A lot to get to, a lot of speculation, rumors.
- 15:05Speaker 3: Maybe this coach is going to go there, maybe this
- 15:08Speaker 3: coach is going to go here. And some coaches are
- 15:11Speaker 3: not going to be returning to LSU. So we've got
- 15:14Speaker 3: a lot to get to. We'll start that process when
- 15:16Speaker 3: we come back here.
- 15:17Speaker 5: On OTB, off the bench, I.
- 15:22Speaker 3: Go to central Plumbing dot org, the website for Central

- 16:06Speaker 4: seven years completely outfitted. We've been at our house for
- 16:08Speaker 4: about the same amount of time. Yeah, thank you. Didn't
- 16:11Speaker 4: even mean to just drop that one. They did all

- 19:24Speaker 4: on the weekends. If you got a little company holiday party,

- 19:33Speaker 8: Right there, Go flow ivy boom. All right, let's get to.
- 19:41Speaker 3: The coaching portion of this before we get to the
- 19:44Speaker 3: recruiting portion. It isn't officially official yet, but it sounds
- 19:51Speaker 3: like Tulane did not listen to us on Blake Baker.
- 19:55Speaker 8: What doesn't sound like they listen to us?
- 19:58Speaker 3: Uh, there's a lot of reports that he has finalizing
- 20:00Speaker 3: a deal. It could be set by this weekend. So
- 20:07Speaker 3: you look like you're probably gonna lose Blake Baker, according
- 20:10Speaker 3: to whom report YEA sources. Well, i'll have to it's
- 20:17Speaker 3: not official. I'll get sad when it's official. Why didn't
- 20:21Speaker 3: you think they listened to us?
- 20:22Speaker 8: I know they should have.
- 20:23Speaker 3: No, No, I think we made a great case for
- 20:25Speaker 3: why they shouldn't hire him.
- 20:26Speaker 8: Ye.
- 20:27Speaker 4: Well, I think if it does, If it does happen
- 20:29Speaker 4: and Blake Baker does take the job, I think every
- 20:33Speaker 4: Tiger fan can understand why.
- 20:35Speaker 5: Certainly, this is like one of those situations where it's.
- 20:38Speaker 4: Yeah, we got it, we want you to be here,
- 20:40Speaker 4: we want you to stay here, be our defensive coordator forever.
- 20:45Speaker 4: But this is this is probably that one spot where
- 20:48Speaker 4: it's like, man, yeah, you kind of got to take it.
- 20:49Speaker 4: And I think we would say that for any really
- 20:51Speaker 4: good head coaching job that any of our assistants like
- 20:54Speaker 4: they they've earned it, they deserve it.
- 20:56Speaker 5: I just Man, it's just going to leave you with
- 20:59Speaker 5: that feeling of what.
- 21:01Speaker 4: Could have been with him being here, What could have
- 21:05Speaker 4: been if you would have had a good offense with you.
- 21:08Speaker 4: So yeah, I mean, of course last year the offense
- 21:12Speaker 4: was much better than this year, but he just didn't
- 21:14Speaker 4: have all the pieces together to fully implement what he
- 21:16Speaker 4: wanted to do. This year was more indicative of what
- 21:19Speaker 4: his system, what he wanted to do, what he's capable
- 21:22Speaker 4: of doing as a coach.
- 21:23Speaker 5: It's just like, man, what a big what if if?
- 21:24Speaker 8: Like about just one year with Lane it had been
- 21:29Speaker 8: good man, and and.
- 21:31Speaker 3: You know, we talked about it because it was Hey,
- 21:33Speaker 3: Lane wants to retain Blake, and we're like so fired up,
- 21:35Speaker 3: and I'm like, this is awesome.
- 21:37Speaker 8: It's going to be his defense.
- 21:39Speaker 3: Lane's offense with Charlie Weis junior doesn't sound like we're
- 21:43Speaker 3: going to get that. But we will be rooting for
- 21:47Speaker 3: Tulane here heavy on this show. We will be massive
- 21:51Speaker 3: fans because Blake's Lane helmet.
- 21:53Speaker 8: Uh.
- 21:55Speaker 3: I think we had one of those we'll take the
- 21:56Speaker 3: Saints one of get that what out of here? Get
- 22:01Speaker 3: that one out here? So if that does happen, obviously
- 22:05Speaker 3: we were trolling our guy Blake, which he actually thought
- 22:07Speaker 3: was funny. And it's gonna be a big loss, but
- 22:11Speaker 3: completely understand why. And you know, you got to turn
- 22:15Speaker 3: your attention to who you're going to move on to
- 22:17Speaker 3: who you're going to try to bring in as your
- 22:20Speaker 3: defensive coordinator. So certainly, whenever that becomes official, we'll kind
- 22:24Speaker 3: of go down the list of who would be available
- 22:26Speaker 3: and who we'd like to see take that roll over.
- 22:30Speaker 3: Not the only coaching news though, tata I saw you
- 22:33Speaker 3: just put this inside the document here making a push
- 22:36Speaker 3: shout out to a Lander for putting it in there.
- 22:38Speaker 3: Elijah Robinson for D line coach and that's on louisianasports
- 22:42Speaker 3: dot Net as well. Didn't go great for him this
- 22:46Speaker 3: year as a defensive coordinator at Syracuse. In fact, Fran
- 22:49Speaker 3: Brown in the middle of the season took those play
- 22:52Speaker 3: calling duties away from him. But as far as a
- 22:56Speaker 3: D line coach, he does have a really good track record.
- 22:59Speaker 3: He was with Texas A and M when Jimbo Fisher
- 23:02Speaker 3: was the head coach. He was actually the interim head
- 23:04Speaker 3: coach when Jimbo got fired, So he's very well respected
- 23:08Speaker 3: as a D line coach and.
- 23:10Speaker 8: Apparently LSU is pursuing him. Now.
- 23:13Speaker 3: I don't know what this would mean for Kyle Williams,
- 23:17Speaker 3: obviously being a defensive tackle coach, and I don't look,
- 23:19Speaker 3: I don't know where Kyle is, like where he wants
- 23:23Speaker 3: to be, hadn't really had those conversations with him miss
- 23:26Speaker 3: his first year in college football, so I don't know.
- 23:30Speaker 3: I don't know, you know what the roles would be
- 23:32Speaker 3: for everyone, But it does sound like they want Robinson
- 23:35Speaker 3: on the staff.
- 23:37Speaker 4: Yeah, I'll be curious when all the dust settles to
- 23:40Speaker 4: kind of figure out like the stories of how all
- 23:43Speaker 4: this went down, because we talked about Kyle Williams here.
- 23:47Speaker 8: Certainly, when I saw the news, I was disappointed.
- 23:49Speaker 4: In reading this news that there was another defensive line
- 23:53Speaker 4: coach that was in the mix and potentially going to
- 23:55Speaker 4: be hired. So yeah, I was disappointed because I know
- 24:02Speaker 4: Kyle personally, so there's a little bit of a bias here,
- 24:04Speaker 4: of course, But I also know how great of a
- 24:06Speaker 4: coach he is, how great of a communicator he is,
- 24:08Speaker 4: how greater of a leader he is. So I feel
- 24:11Speaker 4: like if this is the case, then it I feel
- 24:14Speaker 4: like it was probably Kyle's choice. I don't know if
- 24:16Speaker 4: anybody like kind of knew, you know, Kyle came because
- 24:19Speaker 4: he wanted to, not because.
- 24:20Speaker 8: Like he had to, and just a you know.
- 24:23Speaker 4: It's a lot of you know, personal like reasons and
- 24:27Speaker 4: the life being from here and all that. So like,
- 24:31Speaker 4: so he is a great coach, and I don't know,
- 24:33Speaker 4: like he's got opportunities he'll have any opportunity wants in
- 24:36Speaker 4: in the world, uh to go coach, and if he
- 24:38Speaker 4: wants to go coach in the NFL or in college
- 24:40Speaker 4: or whatever. It just kind of yeah, it's one of
- 24:42Speaker 4: these things where he didn't need to do anything, he
- 24:44Speaker 4: just wanted to.
- 24:44Speaker 8: So yeah, if that's the case, I.
- 24:47Speaker 4: Think that whoever you bring in is going to be
- 24:49Speaker 4: a little bit of a downgrade from Kyle Williams. But
- 24:51Speaker 4: that's not to say they're not going to be a
- 24:53Speaker 4: great coach. But from a defensive line standpoint, I don't
- 24:58Speaker 4: think there could be a better coach on and off
- 25:02Speaker 4: the field than Kyle Williams for actual defight from technique
- 25:06Speaker 4: and how to play the game and just flat out experience.
- 25:10Speaker 4: So but I'm sure this guy is going to be
- 25:14Speaker 4: a great coach, but just uh, yeah, I still think
- 25:16Speaker 4: it would be a downgrade from Kyle. Yeah, but maybe
- 25:19Speaker 4: it's Kyle's got bigger, bigger pictures. Maybe it's gonna be
- 25:21Speaker 4: a defensive coordinator.
- 25:22Speaker 3: Yeah, I've seen the chat that Kyle wasn't didn't want
- 25:25Speaker 3: to do the grind again, that that's not that part of.
- 25:29Speaker 8: It couldn't be more false.
- 25:32Speaker 3: And I actually think waiting first got here's like, wait,
- 25:39Speaker 3: we're going home?
- 25:40Speaker 8: We're not? Yeah, like working longer.
- 25:43Speaker 3: I've had those conversations with him, the short practices that
- 25:49Speaker 3: were in place, where like wait a minute, why leaving?
- 25:52Speaker 3: So it's actually kind of the complete opposite.
- 25:54Speaker 4: How about I talked to him like early on, I was, hey, man, like,
- 25:57Speaker 4: how is it like the new schedule and everything. I'm
- 25:59Speaker 4: sure you'll work a lot of our words blah blah
- 26:00Speaker 4: Blah's like yeah, it's like, you know, the hours aren't
- 26:03Speaker 4: much different than at rusting.
- 26:05Speaker 5: Yeah, I like what the high school team.
- 26:10Speaker 8: Yeah, so I don't it wouldn't be that.
- 26:12Speaker 3: And maybe he didn't like the direction of college football
- 26:13Speaker 3: and maybe he goes to a different level, but the
- 26:15Speaker 3: grind portion of it, and in fact, he was wondering
- 26:18Speaker 3: why it wasn't more uh from the staff that was
- 26:21Speaker 3: here before that's just being honest. So, like you said, though,
- 26:29Speaker 3: the dust is going to have to settle. Austin Thomas,
- 26:32Speaker 3: I don't think we talked about it yesterday, but he
- 26:34Speaker 3: is out as general manager. He was a senior associate
- 26:38Speaker 3: AD as well. I know they kind of give, you know,
- 26:40Speaker 3: tag those titles along with a lot of other position jobs,
- 26:45Speaker 3: a lot of titles being passed out, but general manager
- 26:48Speaker 3: was his main focus there. He's been here multiple times,
- 26:53Speaker 3: multiple stints. He's had a stint Woodlane Kiffing at Old Mess.
- 26:56Speaker 3: But he kind of felt like as soon as Lane
- 26:58Speaker 3: Kiffin was the higher that all Thomas and Tatay. I
- 27:01Speaker 3: think it was you that was talking about it during
- 27:04Speaker 3: the break, like you kind of felt like, all right,
- 27:05Speaker 3: as soon as that move is made, Austin Thomas probably
- 27:08Speaker 3: not coming back.
- 27:10Speaker 9: Yeah, I mean you would. You would talked about it
- 27:13Speaker 9: a little bit. You know, you told us that you
- 27:16Speaker 9: knew Austin a little bit, you knew Lane a little bit.
- 27:18Speaker 9: You didn't know how they'd worked together, and they had
- 27:20Speaker 9: previously worked together multiple stops actually, like Tennessee, USC and
- 27:24Speaker 9: briefly at Old Miss, so like they were familiar with
- 27:27Speaker 9: each other. Lane Braughn and his own guy at Old Miss.
- 27:29Speaker 9: It kind of makes sense that if you didn't want
- 27:32Speaker 9: to retain him at Old Miss, why would he retain
- 27:34Speaker 9: him here at LSU's.
- 27:35Speaker 4: You got to see the writing on the wall, right
- 27:36Speaker 4: and God did a pretty good job at All Miss.
- 27:39Speaker 5: Oh yeah, for sure, all.
- 27:43Speaker 3: Right, Tatay, You've also got some recruiting update, Tier. What
- 27:47Speaker 3: is the latest with the guys at LSU's waiting on?
- 27:49Speaker 9: So the three big ones that they're waiting on. Duche
- 27:52Speaker 9: Gerald's number one. He was always expected to sign on Friday.
- 27:56Speaker 9: Like a lot of people look at early signing day
- 27:57Speaker 9: and they say, oh, if your guy doesn't sign on Wednesday,
- 28:00Speaker 9: something's wrong. No, you got a three day period. He
- 28:02Speaker 9: was always scheduled to sign today.
- 28:04Speaker 10: He still is.
- 28:06Speaker 9: There are some people out there that believe, you know,
- 28:09Speaker 9: could he flip because obviously he's a big player. A
- 28:12Speaker 9: lot of big time programs are still after him. Barring
- 28:15Speaker 9: something unforeseen, he probably still signs with LSU, but there's
- 28:19Speaker 9: there's always a chance that he doesn't. Trenton Henderson is
- 28:23Speaker 9: set to sign today as well. A little bit more
- 28:25Speaker 9: unknown on him. His recruitment's just been a little bit
- 28:28Speaker 9: more quiet. Obviously, a five star as well, but he
- 28:31Speaker 9: has been projected by one to three as of like
- 28:34Speaker 9: yesterday evening to Inkweed the Tigers. So we'll see if
- 28:37Speaker 9: that holds. And then I mean the big, big unknown
- 28:40Speaker 9: as Lamar Brown, because he could sign today. Lamar Brown
- 28:43Speaker 9: could push it all the way back to February. We
- 28:45Speaker 9: were talking about that in the first segment. What's he
- 28:47Speaker 9: going to do? Is Jake gonna have to throw him
- 28:49Speaker 9: up in l this Saturday or has he already signed?
- 28:52Speaker 9: I mean, that's a guy to look at. And the
- 28:54Speaker 9: word was he always wanted a little bit more clarity
- 28:58Speaker 9: on the coaching staff. Kind of have less clarity now
- 29:01Speaker 9: than you had two days ago with Baker's uncertainty possibly
- 29:04Speaker 9: bringing in a new D line coach, bringing in a
- 29:06Speaker 9: new GM, so things with him are a little bit
- 29:09Speaker 9: more murky, But those are kind of the three big
- 29:11Speaker 9: ones you're waiting on.
- 29:13Speaker 4: Yeah, that's an interesting point because like if I was,
- 29:16Speaker 4: and we don't know the conversations had between Lamar Brown
- 29:18Speaker 4: and anybody, we don't know, they're getting a lot more
- 29:21Speaker 4: information I'm sure about the coaches outgoing and incoming than
- 29:24Speaker 4: we are.
- 29:26Speaker 5: Like it was like Jake, if it was your child, and.
- 29:30Speaker 4: There was uncertainty, had a position, and there was a
- 29:32Speaker 4: chance to sign again in like another two months, right,
- 29:35Speaker 4: I feel like I would just be like, let's just
- 29:37Speaker 4: hold hold on.
- 29:37Speaker 8: Yeah, he's not an early enrollee. Yeah, he's going to
- 29:40Speaker 8: be somebody that comes in the summertime. Anyways.
- 29:42Speaker 3: So if I didn't know, and if I wanted more
- 29:45Speaker 3: clarity on the situation, I was still strong leaning for that.
- 29:49Speaker 8: Yeah, for sure.
- 29:51Speaker 3: I'd want to know, Okay, well, who's going to be
- 29:53Speaker 3: coaching me? What's uh, you know, what's the plan for
- 29:56Speaker 3: me now? Because I know what I had in you know,
- 29:59Speaker 3: Baker Defense with Kyle Williams coaching me. But now if
- 30:03Speaker 3: you bring in somebody new, I don't think they would
- 30:05Speaker 3: do this. But let's say you bring in a coordinator
- 30:08Speaker 3: who runs a three three five, that's going to be
- 30:10Speaker 3: completely different than what.
- 30:12Speaker 8: You just had.
- 30:13Speaker 3: So yeah, I mean, if you have time and if
- 30:16Speaker 3: you don't have assurances and maybe look, maybe the staff
- 30:19Speaker 3: is telling him, hey, here's who it's going to be, right,
- 30:21Speaker 3: because those things are you know, obviously farther down the
- 30:25Speaker 3: road in the building than they are publicly as far
- 30:29Speaker 3: as you know what Blake's gonna do if Blake is
- 30:31Speaker 3: taking the job and if he's not whatever, So like
- 30:33Speaker 3: those conversations already being had, I'm sure he's been told, hey,
- 30:36Speaker 3: here's who we're looking at. So, yeah, if you have
- 30:40Speaker 3: the opportunity, if you're not an early enrollee, would it
- 30:43Speaker 3: make every LSU fan nervous because every other school will
- 30:46Speaker 3: still have two more months to try to get him
- 30:49Speaker 3: to commit to their school side with their school.
- 30:51Speaker 4: Yes, we might get a few more free free uh
- 30:54Speaker 4: dinners out.
- 30:54Speaker 5: Of it, yes, uh huh.
- 30:57Speaker 4: Let's see mister big and the chat say, get Elijah
- 30:59Speaker 4: Robinson and I guarantee Lamar Brown will sign Eliza as
- 31:02Speaker 4: an upgrade as a D line coach. We'll just going
- 31:04Speaker 4: to respectfully disagree with an upgrade.
- 31:10Speaker 3: But if you do get him in place, right, so
- 31:12Speaker 3: you put him in place with stability, And I'm sure
- 31:15Speaker 3: Lamar does have a relationship with him, considering A and
- 31:17Speaker 3: M was second in his recruiting. Lamar Brown's not somebody
- 31:21Speaker 3: that's been recruited for six months. He's been recruited ever
- 31:23Speaker 3: since he was a sophomore freshman.
- 31:26Speaker 8: In high school.
- 31:26Speaker 3: So I'm sure that relationship is in place. So that
- 31:29Speaker 3: point of it probably does help out the situation. Yeah,
- 31:34Speaker 3: I mean, obviously we're gonna be big fans of Kyle
- 31:36Speaker 3: like Kyle like NFL teams have called Kyle ever since
- 31:40Speaker 3: he retired to try to get him to be the
- 31:42Speaker 3: D line coach. There be a consultant come teach all
- 31:45Speaker 3: these things. So look again, I think they're both great coaches.
- 31:48Speaker 3: And if that is the relationship that is going to
- 31:52Speaker 3: help sign Lamar Brown makes all the sense in the
- 31:54Speaker 3: world as well. Do you have some bad news because
- 32:00Speaker 3: I know you don't follow it like this Landon Duckworth,
- 32:03Speaker 3: who we talked about and even the South Carolina website
- 32:06Speaker 3: said they thought he would flip the La shoe. The
- 32:09Speaker 3: quarterback does stick with South Carolina.
- 32:11Speaker 5: That's so much fun.
- 32:12Speaker 8: We had a lot, we had a lot ready to go.
- 32:14Speaker 4: We had a lot ready to go, and he decommitted
- 32:17Speaker 4: twice from South Carolina, but read the third times a
- 32:19Speaker 4: charm he did it.
- 32:21Speaker 9: Credit to Beamer for keeping him though, I mean there
- 32:23Speaker 9: were it wasn't you sell a shoe? Like every big
- 32:25Speaker 9: time program was after him and he's not a South
- 32:28Speaker 9: Carolina kid. Land of duckwords from Alabama, So I mean,
- 32:30Speaker 9: shout out to Beember and staff for keeping him in.
- 32:33Speaker 3: I had Beemer on Wednesday opening segment of the show
- 32:36Speaker 3: and he's like, yeah, we signed a great class, expected
- 32:39Speaker 3: good a good quarterback, even if hester's trying to come
- 32:42Speaker 3: up here and take him away and trying to come
- 32:44Speaker 3: up what I like the nicknames. Yeah, but I wouldn't
- 32:47Speaker 3: know where to drive Bud. Nope, all right, we'll take

- 33:59Speaker 4: twenty one months zero percent financing right there.
- 34:01Speaker 5: Pokes for a second.
- 34:08Speaker 1: Two thousand and seven Champs Purple and Gold to the core.
- 34:11Speaker 1: This is off the bench with Hester and Flynn, Matt
- 34:15Speaker 1: and Rouge's go to for all things Louisiana sports.
- 34:26Speaker 2: We will young.
- 34:38Speaker 1: Before now.
- 34:43Speaker 3: Gimmy coming back.
- 34:54Speaker 8: You remember right now?
- 34:55Speaker 4: Oh yeah? So on the one of the Greatest Days
- 34:58Speaker 4: and Humanity June twentieth, nineteen eighty five, the day of
- 35:06Speaker 4: my birth. This is the number one song in America,
- 35:10Speaker 4: the greatest country on Earth Heaven by Brian Adams, who
- 35:19Speaker 4: is a Canadian.
- 35:23Speaker 8: Why is that important?
- 35:24Speaker 4: I only know that because Peter Daikowski. Oh okay to
- 35:27Speaker 4: play Brian Adams.
- 35:29Speaker 8: I got you.
- 35:34Speaker 3: Hmm.
- 35:35Speaker 5: Isn't there a.
- 35:40Speaker 4: We're prime Minister Dayton, Katy Perry, they're former for That's
- 35:45Speaker 4: what I believe.
- 35:45Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 35:48Speaker 3: Uh So during the break, I was taking a look
- 35:51Speaker 3: at some analytics from Ole Missus offense within the SEC
- 35:56Speaker 3: over the last three years, because like we've got a
- 35:59Speaker 3: pretty good idea. LSU's played Old miss every single year.
- 36:03Speaker 3: But I do think there is a big misconception. And
- 36:06Speaker 3: we've talked about this for years, not just since Lane
- 36:09Speaker 3: Kiffin takes over the LSU job. This is an offense
- 36:12Speaker 3: that's going to have some true balance to it. A
- 36:16Speaker 3: lot of people think because you want to go fast,
- 36:19Speaker 3: they you just throw the football all the time and
- 36:21Speaker 3: you don't run. It couldn't be farther from the truth.
- 36:24Speaker 3: What do we talk about yesterday? The diversity and the
- 36:26Speaker 3: run game. Everything's up inside zone, outside zone, counter power,
- 36:31Speaker 3: you name it, it's up, and they'll do it out
- 36:33Speaker 3: of eleven personnel.
- 36:34Speaker 8: They'll do it at a twelve personnel.
- 36:35Speaker 3: They'll be multiple in their formations while I was taking
- 36:38Speaker 3: a look at it. And in twenty twenty five, Old
- 36:42Speaker 3: Miss was first in yards per game in the SEC.
- 36:46Speaker 3: They were first in passing yards per game. They were
- 36:48Speaker 3: fifth in rushing yards per game. Pretty balanced. In twenty
- 36:51Speaker 3: twenty four, they were first in yards per game, they
- 36:54Speaker 3: were first in passing yards per game, and they were
- 36:57Speaker 3: fifth in rushing yards pera same exact balance consistency. Twenty
- 37:04Speaker 3: twenty three, they were third in yards per game, they
- 37:06Speaker 3: were third in passing yards per game, they were you
- 37:09Speaker 3: guessed it, fifth in rushing yards per game. I love
- 37:12Speaker 3: seeing that because you could go back to last year
- 37:16Speaker 3: and you could look at LSU what they did through
- 37:18Speaker 3: the air.
- 37:18Speaker 8: It was great.
- 37:19Speaker 3: They were dead last and rushing. This year, LSU dead
- 37:23Speaker 3: last and rushing. You have to have some balance. You
- 37:27Speaker 3: have to be able to run the football. You can't
- 37:30Speaker 3: just forget about it. And when I see an offense
- 37:32Speaker 3: that's a balance like this, that is really exciting because
- 37:38Speaker 3: it gives you the opportunity to beat teams in multiple ways.
- 37:43Speaker 3: If one thing's not there, it's not the only thing
- 37:45Speaker 3: that you do. But go back to like the second
- 37:48Speaker 3: half against Texas A and M not this year, but
- 37:51Speaker 3: go back two years in college station. Right when they
- 37:54Speaker 3: decided they were going to take away the pass, you.
- 37:55Speaker 8: Couldn't do anything.
- 37:57Speaker 3: This Old miss offense under Charlie Weist you and your
- 38:00Speaker 3: Lane Kiffin has shown you that they can beat you
- 38:04Speaker 3: in multiple ways. We've seen it and we've preached it
- 38:07Speaker 3: for a long time again, even when they were in Oxford.
- 38:10Speaker 8: It is a very balanced offense.
- 38:12Speaker 3: It is one that keeps you guessing, and it's one
- 38:14Speaker 3: that can do it through the air or on the ground.
- 38:17Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 38:17Speaker 4: I mean, just look at look at Ole Miss this year,
- 38:19Speaker 4: what they've done this year and the most successful season
- 38:22Speaker 4: in the history of old myths. I believe freshman right,
- 38:26Speaker 4: Kiwan Lacey, he's a freshman right seconds from Missouri. He's
- 38:31Speaker 4: got two hundred and fifty eight carries running backs.
- 38:33Speaker 8: They have Missouri by the way, right to.
- 38:35Speaker 4: Right, two hundred and fifty eight carries for twelve hundred
- 38:37Speaker 4: and seventy nine yards so far. Five he's averaging five
- 38:40Speaker 4: yards of carry. So I think that's probably a misconception
- 38:45Speaker 4: that like Lane has because he does have all these explosive.
- 38:49Speaker 8: Passing games, and it's in his history and in.
- 38:51Speaker 3: The tempo for whatever reason, kind of tricks people's mind
- 38:53Speaker 3: and thinking that it's somewhat attached to passing the ball
- 38:57Speaker 3: when it's really just getting as many plays.
- 38:59Speaker 4: As you can, right, And you saw the struggles how
- 39:02Speaker 4: how we struggled this year against Old Miss because of
- 39:05Speaker 4: that tempo. Like going into that game, I felt really good.
- 39:08Speaker 4: At the time of the year, we didn't really realize
- 39:10Speaker 4: the kind of the flaws that LSU's team had for
- 39:12Speaker 4: this year. But when that game, I felt pretty confident
- 39:15Speaker 4: because Trinidad Chamblis was a new starter at that time,
- 39:18Speaker 4: and I didn't think his tape was very good, and
- 39:20Speaker 4: I knew kind of the diversity and the things that
- 39:22Speaker 4: we could do to create havoc on our defensive side
- 39:25Speaker 4: of the ball.
- 39:26Speaker 5: But we talked about it that week.
- 39:28Speaker 4: I said, the thing that stops a lot of that
- 39:31Speaker 4: creativity on people's defense is tempo tempo. Tempo tempo, whether
- 39:35Speaker 4: it's you're actually hurrying up to the line of scrimmage
- 39:37Speaker 4: and snapping the ball and running a play quickly, or
- 39:42Speaker 4: just hurrying up to the line of scrimmage like a
- 39:43Speaker 4: hurry up and wait situation. You hurry up to the
- 39:45Speaker 4: line of scrimmage, sometimes you snap it quickly, then sometimes
- 39:47Speaker 4: you don't snap it, and then you get to play
- 39:48Speaker 4: from the sideline. You change, you make adjustments, but usually
- 39:51Speaker 4: that still doesn't allow the defense. Even if you do
- 39:54Speaker 4: a hurry up and wait where you rush to the
- 39:56Speaker 4: line of scrimmage and then pretend like you're going to
- 39:58Speaker 4: snap the ball and then look to the sideline. We've
- 40:01Speaker 4: all seen that play out all over college football. The
- 40:03Speaker 4: whole everybody looks at the sideline gets a play that
- 40:06Speaker 4: still doesn't give the defense time to really create something creative.
- 40:11Speaker 4: On defense, they still have to pretty much run based concept.
- 40:14Speaker 4: So that is the philosophy. Hurry up and then also
- 40:18Speaker 4: hurry up and wait, get the defense into vanilla type
- 40:21Speaker 4: type looks. There's only so many things you can call.
- 40:24Speaker 4: Defenses love on a third down, a third and medium,
- 40:27Speaker 4: third and long where offense gets on a huddle because
- 40:30Speaker 4: they can create. Okay, now we're gonna do all our
- 40:31Speaker 4: walk around stuff. We're gonna get Harold Perkins and we're
- 40:33Speaker 4: gonna walk them around. We're gonna put them at safety,
- 40:35Speaker 4: We're gona put them at defensive tack. We're gonna do
- 40:37Speaker 4: all these crazy things. They're not gonna know what to do.
- 40:39Speaker 4: We're gonna make it confusing. But when you hurry up
- 40:42Speaker 4: to the line of scrimmage, whether you snap it or not,
- 40:44Speaker 4: you have to line The defense has to get lined
- 40:46Speaker 4: up and set. You don't have time to talk to
- 40:48Speaker 4: everybody in the huddle and get get creative with too
- 40:50Speaker 4: much stuff. Now, there's some things you can do, but
- 40:53Speaker 4: it minimizes the amount of defenses and the looks and
- 40:55Speaker 4: the pressure looks and the simulated pressures that you can present.
- 41:02Speaker 3: I'd love to continue to break down this offense throughout
- 41:05Speaker 3: the show, maybe even if we can pull up some
- 41:07Speaker 3: of the tape there, because again the misconception of the offense.
- 41:12Speaker 8: I do want to show it play out on film.
- 41:15Speaker 3: I love the speed too, love the speed in which
- 41:17Speaker 3: and you're right, Matt that they change the tempos as well.
- 41:20Speaker 3: You can tell there is a hurry up. There is
- 41:23Speaker 3: a hurry up to wage just to try to figure
- 41:24Speaker 3: out the defense. The defense can do all the things
- 41:26Speaker 3: that they want to do because they are dictating the pace.
- 41:30Speaker 3: They're not allowing the defense to dictate the pace of
- 41:33Speaker 3: the game. All Right, we will step away more OTV
- 41:35Speaker 3: when we come back here live from the Raizing King studio.
- 41:38Speaker 8: Off the bench, all right, go to get Gordon.

- 42:36Speaker 4: out today at geggordon dot com.
- 42:42Speaker 1: From the Locker Room to the Airwaves, Gets off the
- 42:45Speaker 1: Bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn.
- 43:03Speaker 3: I wished it nineteen ninety eight. It's like the Dragonfly
- 43:11Speaker 3: kind of hurts. I remember listening to this one live
- 43:16Speaker 3: in the moment.
- 43:20Speaker 5: I was like thinking about being old.
- 43:25Speaker 4: I was watching we were watching Christmas Vacation last night. Yeah,
- 43:28Speaker 4: and you know how he's in the attic and he
- 43:30Speaker 4: seems like the old film rules.
- 43:31Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 43:32Speaker 4: So the movie is made in eighty nine, okay, and
- 43:35Speaker 4: it was video from nineteen fifty five, right, and it's
- 43:41Speaker 4: like me, you think about fifty five. I was like, man,
- 43:43Speaker 4: that was just after like the War Man. That's like,
- 43:45Speaker 4: that's so long ago. Well that is. I think it's
- 43:50Speaker 4: when that movie came out. It was closer to nineteen
- 43:52Speaker 4: fifty five than it is to today. Twenty twenty five.
- 43:58Speaker 8: Cool.
- 43:59Speaker 3: Yeah, no, no, cool, three kids asking like about that
- 44:05Speaker 3: what he was playing it on?
- 44:08Speaker 4: No, No, they didn't ask that's a that's a good question. Yeah,
- 44:11Speaker 4: I would have I would have understood if they asked that.
- 44:13Speaker 3: Yeah, because we were watching we were watching something and
- 44:18Speaker 3: they were using like the movie and they were using
- 44:20Speaker 3: an overhead projector, and then it was like.
- 44:23Speaker 5: That, what is that?
- 44:24Speaker 3: Yeah, christ like, well, that's what we used to use
- 44:28Speaker 3: in the classroom.
- 44:29Speaker 8: Like if the teacher were lasting something. Yeah, yeah, yeah
- 44:31Speaker 8: the projector? Was that called? Was that a projector? The
- 44:34Speaker 8: overhead projector? Right right? Yes?
- 44:37Speaker 10: Yeah, I mean until junior high probably.
- 44:39Speaker 8: Yeah, what's that? Yeah?
- 44:43Speaker 5: But think about that, we didn't have.
- 44:45Speaker 3: An interactive whiteboard from Gulf Coast Office Products son.
- 44:50Speaker 4: So if I'm doing my math correctly, eighty nine to
- 44:53Speaker 4: two thousand and five is what thirty six years, and
- 44:55Speaker 4: eighty nine reversed in ninety fifty five would be thirty
- 44:59Speaker 4: four years.
- 44:59Speaker 8: So yeah, I don't know why you would do that though.
- 45:01Speaker 8: Why would you bring that up?
- 45:02Speaker 5: Because we're old, I guess uh.
- 45:06Speaker 4: Speaking of that movie, big shout out to my amazing wife, who,
- 45:10Speaker 4: like forever I've wanted like like a Christmas village, yeah
- 45:14Speaker 4: in the house, and we've just never had one. She
- 45:18Speaker 4: didn't grow up with one, and so, like, you know,
- 45:20Speaker 4: one of the things, so I've like, you know, been
- 45:21Speaker 4: talking to her about a long time. Wow, last night, Billy,
- 45:25Speaker 4: she gave me a couple of things. The start of
- 45:28Speaker 4: our Christmas village, and the start of it was the
- 45:32Speaker 4: Christmas vacation House.
- 45:34Speaker 8: Oh I've got that too, yeah, dude, Yeah. All the
- 45:36Speaker 8: lights on it.
- 45:37Speaker 4: Yeah, all the lights I got. I got Chevy plugging
- 45:40Speaker 4: it in. I got cousin Eddie's r V.
- 45:44Speaker 8: Is it full? Yeah? You calls Central Plumbing. All right,
- 45:48Speaker 8: we'll be back out.
- 45:49Speaker 10: Number two, O TV off the bench.
