Latest / KSEV Mornings with Craig and Wayne / Senator Kennedy on Jack Smith, Paxton on a Child Abuse Case, and Booing the Astros
Transcript
- 0:10Speaker 1: And now.
- 0:14Speaker 2: The mob guys Craig Coyennes.
- 0:20Speaker 3: And Wayne Dolcefino On.
- 0:26Speaker 4: KSV Radio Buongiorno.
- 0:38Speaker 5: My friends here at AM 700 KCV, I'm Wendell Trefito.
- 0:43Speaker 2: That's Craig Colonese. And we are the mob guys. And yes,
- 0:49Speaker 2: we are very tough and we are very mean spirited.
- 0:54Speaker 2: But we call it like we see it. We do.
- 0:56Speaker 2: And look, I'm not freaking out.
- 1:00Speaker 5: I'm just only worried that there's so many Republicans that, just,
- 1:06Speaker 5: you know, they're making money, they're living their lives, right,
- 1:09Speaker 5: that they just don't realize that these elections are becoming
- 1:13Speaker 5: critically important. Because we've been in this pattern in this
- 1:16Speaker 5: country for the last, it seems like we go this way,
- 1:18Speaker 5: and then we go that way, and then we go
- 1:20Speaker 5: this way, and everyone's frustrated. The reality is, and I
- 1:24Speaker 5: think this is one of the problems Trump had coming in,
- 1:27Speaker 5: is that he wanted to restructure the economy to start
- 1:30Speaker 5: bringing investments and jobs back.
- 1:33Speaker 2: And he's doing that. He really is doing that.
- 1:36Speaker 5: I mean, the manufacturing numbers were good last month. We'll
- 1:39Speaker 5: see how they do this month. But it is working.
- 1:42Speaker 5: And part of the reason that so many people, the
- 1:47Speaker 5: labor market was weird for a while is because we
- 1:49Speaker 5: got rid of all this government fat. There was a
- 1:51Speaker 5: lot of fat in what we did. I just think
- 1:55Speaker 5: part of it is that we did it in a
- 1:56Speaker 5: way that was mean-spirited.
- 1:58Speaker 2: And I think both sides make this mistake that they
- 2:02Speaker 2: view things as mandates. When, you know, you win an
- 2:06Speaker 2: election by like five votes, you go, that's a mandate.
- 2:10Speaker 6: They all want this. That's true.
- 2:12Speaker 7: I mean, Trump did win all of the swing states.
- 2:14Speaker 7: So there was a version, and he did win the
- 2:16Speaker 7: popular vote. I'm not saying he didn't kick her butt.
- 2:20Speaker 2: He did.
- 2:21Speaker 6: He did.
- 2:21Speaker 5: But my point is, I don't think with 40% of
- 2:26Speaker 5: the country or 35% of the country now thinking socialism
- 2:29Speaker 5: is a good idea, we clearly.
- 2:32Speaker 6: There's still a problem.
- 2:33Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 2:34Speaker 2: There's just a problem. And there is a way to
- 2:36Speaker 2: communicate with people to explain what you're doing. Unfortunately, I
- 2:41Speaker 2: don't think Trump talks that way. No. Right. And he's
- 2:46Speaker 2: always going to say something that the media is going
- 2:49Speaker 2: to run with. Right.
- 2:50Speaker 5: Something's always going to happen that the media is going
- 2:53Speaker 5: to say this guy. corroborates our viewpoint on a guy
- 2:57Speaker 5: we hate.
- 2:58Speaker 9: Sure.
- 2:59Speaker 7: A couple things that we mentioned, breaking news, and one
- 3:01Speaker 7: of those plays into the thing that you're talking about
- 3:03Speaker 7: right now because there is this leaked audio of Ken Paxton.
- 3:07Speaker 6: Criticizing President Trump.
- 3:09Speaker 7: But before that, because you mentioned it and because it's
- 3:11Speaker 7: definitely broke over the last couple hours, there's this story
- 3:14Speaker 7: of the Israeli pilot and the flight that had to
- 3:17Speaker 7: be landed because a co-pilot stabbed somebody on a plane.
- 3:20Speaker 6: Stabbed him. Yeah, stabbed him. Excuse me, stabbed him on
- 3:23Speaker 6: a plane.
- 3:24Speaker 7: I do have the Fox News breaking version of a
- 3:27Speaker 7: report on this.
- 3:28Speaker 6: So we'll play this quickly and then we'll react to that.
- 3:30Speaker 2: Sure.
- 3:31Speaker 6: Back with the Fox News alert. If you're just.
- 3:33Speaker 8: Joining us now, a pack flight to Israel making an
- 3:35Speaker 8: emergency landing after a bloody brawl broke out in the cockpit.
- 3:39Speaker 7: Jeff Paul joins us live from Tel Aviv with what
- 3:41Speaker 7: we know at this time.
- 3:42Speaker 6: A big fight inside the cockpit, Jeff.
- 3:46Speaker 10: Well, yeah, the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu
- 3:49Speaker 10: putting out a statement saying the situation is now under
- 3:52Speaker 10: control after that plane was safely diverted to Saudi Arabia.
- 3:56Speaker 10: But what remains unclear is what led to that emergency
- 3:59Speaker 10: call coming from the cockpit that then forced Israel to
- 4:02Speaker 10: scramble fighter jets and fears that it had been hijacked. Now,
- 4:06Speaker 10: there are several different accounts out there from passengers who
- 4:09Speaker 10: were on board, but one spoke to Fox News yesterday.
- 4:11Speaker 10: telling us that they believe the co-pilot of Fly Dubai
- 4:14Speaker 10: Flight FZ-1073 stabbed the captain of the plane, who then
- 4:19Speaker 10: collapsed onto the controls. That then shut down the entire
- 4:23Speaker 10: instrument panel, according to this witness.
- 4:26Speaker 6: This is crazy as far as the story goes.
- 4:29Speaker 5: How did they land the plane if the co-pilot was
- 4:31Speaker 5: the guy that did the stabbing?
- 4:33Speaker 7: I don't know, because there's not an answer in there.
- 4:37Speaker 7: So I know this broke just.
- 4:38Speaker 6: A couple hours ago.
- 4:39Speaker 2: And he was stabbed several times.
- 4:41Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 4:41Speaker 7: I think once you scramble fighter jets, if someone is
- 4:44Speaker 7: trying to steal a plane, they realize that that plan
- 4:47Speaker 7: is going to fail.
- 4:48Speaker 6: And maybe they willingly landed at that point. I don't know.
- 4:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:51Speaker 5: So the Jerusalem Post is saying that one pilot stabbed
- 4:54Speaker 5: the other and tried to do 9-11. An official told
- 4:58Speaker 5: Channel 12.
- 4:59Speaker 8: Right.
- 5:00Speaker 2: So something the guy must have said on the radio. Right.
- 5:05Speaker 5: There's got to be some communication from this guy. you know, saying, whatever,
- 5:11Speaker 5: whatever they say.
- 5:12Speaker 7: Yeah, but it was a flight bound for Israel, and
- 5:14Speaker 7: it had to make an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia
- 5:16Speaker 7: because of one pilot stabbing the other pilot.
- 5:20Speaker 5: I was looking for this thing I wanted, because there's
- 5:22Speaker 5: this woman, this Israeli woman, who does these split screens
- 5:27Speaker 5: with these Palestinian guys, or she, that they, you know,
- 5:31Speaker 5: as soon as she tells them she's Israeli, they go like.
- 5:33Speaker 2: You know, death to you, you know, whatever.
- 5:37Speaker 5: I have to get her name, but I'm sure people
- 5:39Speaker 5: can find it. I was looking for a name. It's
- 5:42Speaker 5: really interesting, the sort of... And they're taught this way. See,
- 5:47Speaker 5: they're taught... And this is another one of those weird
- 5:52Speaker 5: universe things, but they're taught in those schools, like probably
- 5:56Speaker 5: UN schools, I bet, to.
- 5:59Speaker 2: Hate the Jews.
- 6:01Speaker 6: They just are.
- 6:02Speaker 5: And so if you're indoctrinated from the first day of preschool...
- 6:08Speaker 5: To say let's carry around a little dead Jew. In
- 6:12Speaker 5: the courtyard. That's what they know. It's a form of brainwashing.
- 6:17Speaker 6: It's horrible.
- 6:18Speaker 5: And you go to look at Israeli schools. And I
- 6:22Speaker 5: don't think you're going to find an Israeli school saying.
- 6:24Speaker 5: Today class we're going to talk about what a bunch
- 6:27Speaker 5: of crazy terrorists.
- 6:29Speaker 2: Those Palestinians are. Or those Iranians. Or whatever. It's just
- 6:34Speaker 2: such a difference in the way.
- 6:36Speaker 5: The society looks like, it's like this genocide nonsense.
- 6:40Speaker 2: It's nonsense. It's like Israel vaccinating all the Palestinians, right?
- 6:46Speaker 2: They sent them like two million tons of food, right?
- 6:49Speaker 2: And they're committing genocide, right? What is it that, that's
- 6:56Speaker 2: why John Kennedy, I think.
- 6:58Speaker 6: Okay, let's do that.
- 6:59Speaker 5: Because I love, I think what John Kennedy said, he
- 7:03Speaker 5: said in a much more eloquent way than.
- 7:06Speaker 6: Is that the one that you're– because I have a
- 7:08Speaker 6: piece of audio. I have two pieces of audio.
- 7:09Speaker 7: I know you sent me one last night, but I
- 7:10Speaker 7: have one where he's actually crapping all over the reactions
- 7:14Speaker 7: to the Jack Smith testimony, too. Specifically, he's crapping on
- 7:18Speaker 7: Dick Durbin, and I do think he's doing it in
- 7:20Speaker 7: kind of a funny way. So we have two different
- 7:23Speaker 7: Kennedy clips that we can play. I can play the
- 7:25Speaker 7: one– Let's have Kennedy Hour.
- 7:26Speaker 6: Let's have Kennedy Hour.
- 7:27Speaker 7: I can play the one that you sent first of
- 7:28Speaker 7: his interview he did on Fox News, and then.
- 7:31Speaker 2: We'll play another one. Yeah, I just thought it was
- 7:32Speaker 2: really– It's really funny.
- 7:35Speaker 5: It's about the socialist control of the Democratic Party now,
- 7:38Speaker 5: and it's said in a way that only John Kennedy
- 7:40Speaker 5: can say.
- 7:41Speaker 6: All right, here we go.
- 7:41Speaker 9: Listen to these new leaders of the Democratic Party, Mayor Mondani,
- 7:49Speaker 9: Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez, Dr. Al Syed in Michigan. And when I
- 8:01Speaker 9: listen to them, they're all socialists. When I listen to them,
- 8:06Speaker 9: it's why I believe in free speech. Because how else
- 8:12Speaker 9: would we know who the idiots are? You can't make
- 8:17Speaker 9: this stuff up. And as long as they're in charge,
- 8:20Speaker 9: you don't have to. No disrespect, but it must suck
- 8:25Speaker 9: to be that dumb.
- 8:27Speaker 6: I'm going to say it again.
- 8:30Speaker 2: I love that.
- 8:30Speaker 9: Republicans aren't perfect, but the other side's. The other side's crazy.
- 8:35Speaker 6: That's what I say.
- 8:37Speaker 2: That's what I say.
- 8:38Speaker 6: I love no disrespect.
- 8:38Speaker 2: That should have been the campaign.
- 8:40Speaker 6: No disrespect. It must be hard to be that dumb.
- 8:42Speaker 6: He also did this yesterday.
- 8:43Speaker 7: He was criticizing Dick Durbin, who has been criticizing Republicans
- 8:47Speaker 7: about this whole Jack Smith thing that's been happening on
- 8:49Speaker 7: Capitol Hill.
- 8:50Speaker 6: I do like this, too.
- 8:51Speaker 11: Institutional and historic importance. This witness should be allowed to
- 8:57Speaker 11: answer the questions, complete a sentence. We have given that
- 9:00Speaker 11: courtesy to Witnesses.
- 9:02Speaker 6: From both political parties.
- 9:04Speaker 2: Should be extended to Mr.
- 9:05Speaker 11: Smith.
- 9:06Speaker 2: Your time's up, Senator Kennedy.
- 9:08Speaker 9: I'd also like, with respect, Dick, for the chairman to
- 9:13Speaker 9: instruct a witness. He's not Bambi's baby brother.
- 9:17Speaker 6: He's not.
- 9:18Speaker 9: He's been around. Everybody knows him. And he was famous
- 9:21Speaker 9: or infamous even before he was hired to prosecute President Trump.
- 9:26Speaker 9: And I'd like you to instruct him not to filibuster us.
- 9:30Speaker 7: Yeah, that'd be nice to actually answer questions and not filibuster.
- 9:33Speaker 7: By the way, I think the thing people most liked
- 9:35Speaker 7: about that one, Wayne, was the pause between with respect
- 9:39Speaker 7: and then using Dick Durbin's first name.
- 9:41Speaker 2: No, look, I think he's really very smart.
- 9:47Speaker 6: Yes.
- 9:48Speaker 2: I really do.
- 9:49Speaker 5: I'm a big fan of his, big fan of Brandon Gill,
- 9:52Speaker 5: who I think is part of the future of the party.
- 9:55Speaker 5: And I think it's very hard when you're running a
- 9:59Speaker 5: campaign to have people who are not naturally speakers or campaigners.
- 10:04Speaker 5: I don't think Paxton really likes the campaigning part.
- 10:08Speaker 6: No, me neither.
- 10:08Speaker 5: That's why I don't understand– and maybe they'll tell me,
- 10:14Speaker 5: but I don't understand why– and maybe they will– the
- 10:18Speaker 5: commercial that should be running is what Ken Paxton has
- 10:22Speaker 5: done to protect Texans. And I don't mean it's more
- 10:26Speaker 5: global than some child molester guy that he may or
- 10:30Speaker 5: may not. I don't even know what that's about. I just,
- 10:32Speaker 5: I don't know the story. So I can't really, I
- 10:35Speaker 5: can't really quantify it. I just think there's been so
- 10:38Speaker 5: many great fights. He just got like this huge settlement
- 10:42Speaker 5: from Texas children's hospital who were Or they were lying
- 10:46Speaker 5: to Medicaid about the procedures they were doing on these
- 10:50Speaker 5: trans kids and calling it something else so they would
- 10:53Speaker 5: get paid for it even though you're.
- 10:54Speaker 2: Not supposed to.
- 10:55Speaker 5: He just got this huge settlement out of them. There's
- 10:58Speaker 5: just so many things he's done to protect Texans. The
- 11:05Speaker 5: other one is Tallarico's voting record. I know that seems
- 11:10Speaker 5: kind of dry, but Tallarico is lying about what he believes.
- 11:16Speaker 6: 100%.
- 11:17Speaker 2: I don't buy that.
- 11:18Speaker 7: Well, and the candid cameras of all the religious leaders
- 11:21Speaker 7: that surround him from the Presbyterian Church, the other pastors
- 11:24Speaker 7: who are all saying out loud, yeah, he's going to
- 11:26Speaker 7: flip on all of these things he's claiming he doesn't believe.
- 11:29Speaker 7: If he gets an office, he's going to go back
- 11:30Speaker 7: to being the crazy person he is.
- 11:33Speaker 6: He's going to stop pretending, I guess. They are amazing.
- 11:36Speaker 7: And I know there's another one of those out there.
- 11:38Speaker 7: I know we have to take a break. After the break, though,
- 11:40Speaker 7: we do have that audio. We have two pieces of
- 11:42Speaker 7: audio with Ken Paxton. We have one where it's a
- 11:45Speaker 7: leak and the New York Times is claiming.
- 11:46Speaker 6: Yeah, I want to hear that.
- 11:47Speaker 7: Yep, they caught him saying that Donald Trump is dragging
- 11:49Speaker 7: down his campaign, President Trump. And then also he answered
- 11:53Speaker 7: a question yesterday at, I think, a Hispanic business conference
- 11:57Speaker 7: where he was interviewed about the Adam Hoffman case, the
- 12:01Speaker 7: case that he gets attacked about the most. So we
- 12:03Speaker 7: can play both of those pieces of audio when we
- 12:05Speaker 7: come back. Now, this is KSV Mornings. He is Wayne Dolcefino.
- 12:09Speaker 7: I am Craig Colonnades on The Voice of Texas.

- 12:41Speaker 12: people in our country and other countries that are trying

- 12:46Speaker 12: stand against the tyranny that is happening and want to
- 12:49Speaker 12: protect what our veterans and forefathers have fought and died for.
- 12:52Speaker 12: Texans are independent thinkers, self-reliant, and bold. If you want

- 14:55Speaker 7: KSEV Radio, the voice of Texas, 700 AM.
- 14:59Speaker 6: We are the Mob Guys. I am Craig Colonese. He
- 15:02Speaker 6: is Wayne Dolcefino.
- 15:04Speaker 7: We spend a couple hours with you every morning talking
- 15:06Speaker 7: about all kinds of stuff, including a bunch of crazy
- 15:09Speaker 7: stuff this morning. And I'm getting a message from a
- 15:11Speaker 7: couple different listeners about quantum mechanics that I'm not going
- 15:16Speaker 7: to share.
- 15:17Speaker 6: Whatever. It's really just one listener who says it.
- 15:20Speaker 5: Yeah, I see the phone's lighting. Oh, it's only one guy.
- 15:23Speaker 5: It's probably someone who's related to you.
- 15:25Speaker 6: No, not related to me. Just a listener. Actually, you
- 15:28Speaker 6: know what? This is funny.
- 15:29Speaker 7: I didn't plan on mentioning this on the air because
- 15:30Speaker 7: I don't understand it. I haven't been catching. This isn't
- 15:33Speaker 7: a slight. I don't listen to the radio in the afternoon.
- 15:36Speaker 7: I haven't been catching Chris X radio. But the same
- 15:38Speaker 7: listener sent me a message saying we have nicknames on
- 15:41Speaker 7: his show.
- 15:41Speaker 6: I don't know if you know that. Whenever he talks
- 15:43Speaker 6: about us.
- 15:44Speaker 2: I'll kill him.
- 15:45Speaker 6: He calls you.
- 15:46Speaker 7: And this is the way the listener describes it. I
- 15:48Speaker 7: can't fathom that this is real. A Wayne erectile dysfunction
- 15:52Speaker 7: or Wayne E.D.
- 15:53Speaker 6: Is what he calls you.
- 15:55Speaker 7: And that I don't think that makes sense.
- 15:57Speaker 2: How does he know that's true?
- 15:59Speaker 7: Again, I can't contextualize this. I even sent a message
- 16:02Speaker 7: being like this is real. And the listener didn't.
- 16:04Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 16:05Speaker 7: And then he calls me like Craig or Mags, which
- 16:08Speaker 7: is sort of a play on that wheel on a
- 16:10Speaker 7: hot rod from like the 70s, 80s. I think it's
- 16:13Speaker 7: called like the cragger mags or something.
- 16:15Speaker 2: But yeah, is this a male listener? Because I've never
- 16:17Speaker 2: had this is.
- 16:18Speaker 6: This is a male listener saying that we have. And
- 16:20Speaker 6: so I don't know. I figured I would just ignore it.
- 16:23Speaker 6: I couldn't really understand it.
- 16:24Speaker 7: But since you brought up the messages, we have a
- 16:26Speaker 7: couple of very loyal listeners who send. I think they
- 16:29Speaker 7: also send Chris a lot of messages. I remember from
- 16:31Speaker 7: working on that show. And so it's just kind of
- 16:33Speaker 7: it's it's nice. I don't mind it, but I don't
- 16:36Speaker 7: know how to respond to that because I have not
- 16:37Speaker 7: heard the nicknames. And usually Chris's nicknames are just light
- 16:41Speaker 7: and silly.
- 16:42Speaker 5: I cannot comment on my erectile dysfunction.
- 16:46Speaker 2: How about that?
- 16:46Speaker 6: Okay, yeah. Wayne E.D. is what he said.
- 16:49Speaker 2: I'd like to talk about it, but I can't.
- 16:51Speaker 6: That's fine.
- 16:53Speaker 2: But I don't think that was my reputation back in
- 16:56Speaker 2: the day.
- 16:56Speaker 6: No, I'm guessing it's not.
- 16:58Speaker 7: But again, you just mentioned, because it's the same listener
- 17:00Speaker 7: that's texting me now about quantum mechanics.
- 17:02Speaker 6: So they might just be a crazy person.
- 17:03Speaker 2: What a fun guy.
- 17:04Speaker 6: What a fun guy.
- 17:05Speaker 2: Why did you give your phone number to a crazy person?
- 17:08Speaker 7: I say text message, but these are messages on Facebook.
- 17:11Speaker 7: So they find my social media profile and then they
- 17:13Speaker 7: send me a direct message.
- 17:14Speaker 2: I don't even look at my messages. You know why?
- 17:17Speaker 5: Because people either really like me or they really, really
- 17:20Speaker 5: hate me. And they send me really vicious messages.
- 17:24Speaker 6: Angry things. Fair enough.
- 17:25Speaker 2: Especially when I get in some political thing like I'm
- 17:27Speaker 2: getting ready to do in Brazoria County. We're going to
- 17:30Speaker 2: be putting out a.
- 17:31Speaker 5: A video, we were asked by a voter to interview
- 17:35Speaker 5: all three candidates for Missouri County Judge.
- 17:38Speaker 2: Sure.
- 17:39Speaker 5: Two of them wouldn't talk to me. And one of them,
- 17:44Speaker 5: Eugene Howard, has a very interesting track record. And he's
- 17:48Speaker 5: not going to like me when this video comes out.
- 17:51Speaker 5: I'm just sort of telegraphing the punch here.
- 17:55Speaker 2: I don't care.
- 17:56Speaker 7: I'm jealous a little bit of the capability you have
- 17:58Speaker 7: to go in and tell the truth and not care about.
- 18:02Speaker 5: The problem with it is that I don't know how
- 18:05Speaker 5: you do, how, how it keeps on going.
- 18:08Speaker 2: Sure.
- 18:08Speaker 14: Right.
- 18:08Speaker 5: I don't know that there's going to be people that
- 18:11Speaker 5: are well known enough to develop the kind of following
- 18:15Speaker 5: and the kind of clients who will hire people like.
- 18:19Speaker 2: Us to investigate and expose things. Sure. By the way,
- 18:23Speaker 2: Do you see my cup over there? I do.
- 18:25Speaker 6: I do. I see the Gay Pride Parade.
- 18:27Speaker 2: Cup that you have. Yeah, I'm very big. Actually, I.
- 18:32Speaker 5: Lived in Montrose when I met my wife, as you
- 18:36Speaker 5: may know. I probably told this story. And our son
- 18:39Speaker 5: is a Mardi Gras baby. We met at Mardi Gras.
- 18:41Speaker 6: Yes, we did tell you.
- 18:41Speaker 5: We met at Mardi Gras, baby. And Anthony is the best.
- 18:45Speaker 5: And when we lived in Montrose, in Cherryhurst, there was
- 18:49Speaker 5: the Gay Pride Parade. And we walked down there walking.
- 18:51Speaker 5: Because you know when you have a baby and they're young,
- 18:54Speaker 5: you're looking for stuff to do, right? And it's like, okay,
- 18:56Speaker 5: let's go watch a parade. And I think it's fun.
- 18:59Speaker 5: I wouldn't call it a month or a week, but
- 19:02Speaker 5: if you want to celebrate with your buddies, your girlfriend, boyfriend,
- 19:07Speaker 5: whatever it is, have a good time. But I went
- 19:09Speaker 5: there and I got that mug. I've had that mug
- 19:11Speaker 5: a very long time.
- 19:12Speaker 6: Fair enough. I've never noticed it before until you pointed
- 19:14Speaker 6: it out.
- 19:14Speaker 2: Well, no. And now I'm thinking, oh, people are going
- 19:17Speaker 2: to go on. Well, you're no conservative. You got a
- 19:20Speaker 2: mug over there.
- 19:21Speaker 6: You know what's funny?
- 19:22Speaker 7: My first reaction is somebody else in your staff left
- 19:24Speaker 7: it there because you have staff that think all kinds
- 19:26Speaker 7: of things.
- 19:26Speaker 2: Who knows? I have gay employees. I don't know. Look.
- 19:30Speaker 6: You're not allowed to ask that question, I don't think.
- 19:31Speaker 5: Well, I have talked to you about this. I believe
- 19:35Speaker 5: you should end all federal laws. Because I have people
- 19:40Speaker 5: that I hire whose car breaks down, like their transmission.
- 19:43Speaker 6: A hundred times, yeah.
- 19:44Speaker 5: I'm a good guy. Transmission fella, right? Been with me
- 19:47Speaker 5: like four days, right? And I'm thinking.
- 19:50Speaker 2: should I ask that question? Do you have a car
- 19:52Speaker 2: that will drive? Yeah.
- 19:54Speaker 11: You hear?
- 19:54Speaker 6: I thought that one was allowed. I thought you could
- 19:56Speaker 6: ask people if they have like a reliable vehicle.
- 19:59Speaker 2: I think you can. It's really more about whether they're
- 20:02Speaker 2: Republican or Democrat.
- 20:04Speaker 7: Also, I know you have somebody who was getting sick
- 20:06Speaker 7: every week, and it wasn't even their car was breaking down.
- 20:08Speaker 6: I think you should be.
- 20:11Speaker 2: Able to say, I'd like to know all your diseases.
- 20:14Speaker 5: I know what they say, but I don't know if
- 20:17Speaker 5: anybody else has this experience, but running a company, my
- 20:20Speaker 5: office manager, when we were trying to get insurance, the
- 20:22Speaker 5: office manager came in and said, Well, they're saying that
- 20:24Speaker 5: so-and-so had this and so-and-so had this and so-and-so's family
- 20:29Speaker 5: had this.
- 20:29Speaker 2: Oh, my God.
- 20:30Speaker 5: Are we supposed to be told that? I thought that
- 20:33Speaker 5: didn't matter anymore. I thought the pre-existing condition thing didn't matter.
- 20:37Speaker 2: I think we've been sold a bill of goods.
- 20:39Speaker 6: Yeah, it's crazy.
- 20:40Speaker 7: I've never heard that, that the Obamacare thing ruined everything.
- 20:44Speaker 5: The broker knew personal details.
- 20:48Speaker 6: That's crazy.
- 20:49Speaker 2: My Wayne E.D., Yeah. She said, well, we're taking.
- 20:52Speaker 6: Apparently friends with Chris X.
- 20:55Speaker 5: She must know Chris X because she knows.
- 20:58Speaker 6: I don't I want to I want to clarify. I
- 21:00Speaker 6: don't know that any of that's true. I have no
- 21:01Speaker 6: idea what our nicknames are.
- 21:02Speaker 2: I don't do that. I really because.
- 21:04Speaker 6: I don't want I don't want to accuse Chris of
- 21:05Speaker 6: something that some listener said. No, I'm not doing.
- 21:08Speaker 2: I'm going to text Chris in a couple of minutes.
- 21:10Speaker 6: OK.
- 21:10Speaker 2: And tell him he's dead.
- 21:13Speaker 6: I do want to play that audio we referenced a
- 21:15Speaker 6: second ago. We have two of them.
- 21:17Speaker 7: Ken Paxton, it says, according to social media and The
- 21:20Speaker 7: New York Times, trashes President Trump but complains about how
- 21:24Speaker 7: he's holding the campaign back. This is from Democratic Wins
- 21:28Speaker 7: Media on social media that put this out there.
- 21:31Speaker 6: But actually, you know what? I see that we also
- 21:33Speaker 6: have a call. So why don't we do the call first?
- 21:35Speaker 2: Yeah, let's do that.
- 21:36Speaker 6: Okay, and then we'll get to everything else.
- 21:37Speaker 5: Is it a quantum mechanics call?
- 21:39Speaker 6: I hope that's what it is.
- 21:40Speaker 7: Sharon is calling in about Ken Paxton.
- 21:42Speaker 6: Sharon, what do you want to say?
- 21:45Speaker 9: Hey, guys.
- 21:46Speaker 15: When I went to school, I'm a boomer. I'm first
- 21:49Speaker 15: in line. And with the baby boomer generation, when I
- 21:52Speaker 15: went to school, we would talk about something and we'd
- 21:55Speaker 15: stay on it, and then we would move to another topic.
- 21:58Speaker 15: So back to what y'all were talking about. I know
- 22:01Speaker 15: you bounced around this morning, and I was about to
- 22:04Speaker 15: hang up. But I want to stay on Ken Paxton
- 22:08Speaker 15: for a few minutes, and I do want to hear
- 22:09Speaker 15: those clips from Kennedy. But I do agree with what
- 22:13Speaker 15: Wayne said. Whoever's managing Paxton's campaign is not doing a
- 22:18Speaker 15: good job. He has done so much for the state
- 22:21Speaker 15: of Texas that they're not talking about. And I'd like
- 22:25Speaker 15: to hear you guys talk more about it to get
- 22:28Speaker 15: the message out there. Anyway, and then the other thing, Craig,
- 22:34Speaker 15: you know, all this stuff that's going around about why
- 22:38Speaker 15: won't Paxton debate, why won't he debate? We don't need
- 22:42Speaker 15: a debater in that office. We're not electing a debater.
- 22:47Speaker 15: Somebody can stand up on a platform and make all
- 22:50Speaker 15: these new talks.
- 22:52Speaker 7: So I appreciate the sentiment, Sharon. One quick, and I'll
- 22:56Speaker 7: let you, I appreciate the sentiment. I think both Wayne
- 22:58Speaker 7: and I think he should debate. So I know you
- 23:00Speaker 7: said to me, but I think both of us think
- 23:02Speaker 7: that Paxton should debate.
- 23:03Speaker 6: Continue.
- 23:05Speaker 15: Well, yeah, I know. But what I'm saying is that's
- 23:10Speaker 15: sort of a just in the mix kind of a thing.
- 23:13Speaker 15: He's not a good debater.
- 23:15Speaker 16: He's not even.
- 23:16Speaker 15: Good on the platform. I've heard him in interviews. He's
- 23:19Speaker 15: not that great off the cuff. But Wayne's right. You
- 23:23Speaker 15: sit down with him.
- 23:24Speaker 2: You just visit with him.
- 23:24Speaker 15: He's a great guy. But he knows how to do
- 23:27Speaker 15: the job we're trying to elect him to do.
- 23:30Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 23:31Speaker 15: And so that's why we need to get the word
- 23:33Speaker 15: out about how good he is, has been at his job,
- 23:37Speaker 15: AG for Texas, and how much he aligns with Texas values.
- 23:41Speaker 15: And which one of you said, you know, those who
- 23:44Speaker 15: go to church and have a job and make money and,
- 23:47Speaker 15: you know, live a normal life. These are the things
- 23:50Speaker 15: we need. And so it's being overclouded by all the media.
- 23:56Speaker 6: Fair enough. Thank you. Thank you very much for the call, Sharon.
- 23:58Speaker 6: I agree with you.
- 23:59Speaker 2: Go ahead.
- 23:59Speaker 5: I was going to say, I could see if you
- 24:02Speaker 5: don't debate that the campaign ad should be exactly what
- 24:06Speaker 5: she suggested.
- 24:07Speaker 9: Right.
- 24:08Speaker 8: It is.
- 24:09Speaker 2: Let's have a game show.
- 24:10Speaker 5: You know, like Saturday Night Live does that, you know,
- 24:13Speaker 5: that thing with the Jeopardy thing, whatever they do.
- 24:15Speaker 6: Celebrity Jeopardy.
- 24:16Speaker 2: Yeah, which is hilarious. But why don't we do that, Ed?
- 24:22Speaker 5: Like, which one of you will vote to let criminal
- 24:25Speaker 5: illegal aliens in America?
- 24:28Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 24:29Speaker 7: I would also– I was thinking about this, and I
- 24:31Speaker 7: know we're up against another break here in a second,
- 24:32Speaker 7: but it's fair for Sharon to say that we don't
- 24:35Speaker 7: want someone– who is uniquely good at just debating.
- 24:39Speaker 6: Like that isn't good at other stuff.
- 24:41Speaker 7: But I do think, I do think you need politicians
- 24:43Speaker 7: that can handle debating other politicians. It's one of the
- 24:47Speaker 7: core functions of getting people to support you who might
- 24:49Speaker 7: be skeptical.
- 24:50Speaker 6: And so I do think that.
- 24:52Speaker 7: Regardless of how great he'd be at it, it's a
- 24:55Speaker 7: skill set you need to occasionally wield to win an office,
- 24:58Speaker 7: especially an office as big as Senator.
- 25:00Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 25:01Speaker 5: And, and sometimes you have to do a little mea culpa.
- 25:05Speaker 5: I think, And I think one of the problems with
- 25:09Speaker 5: Paxton and with some people, not with me, because I
- 25:12Speaker 5: know what he'll do, but one of the problems with
- 25:14Speaker 5: Paxton is that he doesn't ever want to say, I've
- 25:21Speaker 5: made mistakes.
- 25:22Speaker 6: At all, right.
- 25:24Speaker 2: And we've all made mistakes.
- 25:25Speaker 5: And he is not the most corrupt politician, even like
- 25:29Speaker 5: remotely close.
- 25:31Speaker 2: And now I.
- 25:32Speaker 5: Now I see that they're asking everyone about Beau French.
- 25:35Speaker 5: That's not the question now, right?
- 25:36Speaker 2: Yes. Would you support it? And if you do, then
- 25:39Speaker 2: you'll feel pretty brilliant, right?
- 25:41Speaker 6: We've got the music playing. We've got to take a break.
- 25:43Speaker 6: We'll be back. KSVB, The Voice of Texas.

- 28:07Speaker 16: a mix of sun and clouds becoming breezy in the
- 28:09Speaker 16: afternoon with a chance of a passing thunderstorm. The high

- 28:14Speaker 16: warm and humid with a chance of a late-night thunderstorm.
- 28:16Speaker 16: The low will only drop to 78. Tomorrow will continue
- 28:19Speaker 16: to be humid with intervals of sunshine and clouds, along
- 28:21Speaker 16: with the possibility of a couple of thunderstorms in the afternoon.
- 28:24Speaker 16: Expect a high of 90. On Friday, the weather will
- 28:26Speaker 16: be mainly cloudy and humid with a few showers and
- 28:28Speaker 16: a chance of a thunderstorm. The high temperature will be
- 28:31Speaker 16: around 89 with the KSCV Weather Center forecast. I'm AccuWeather
- 28:34Speaker 16: meteorologist Joe Lundberg.
- 28:47Speaker 7: KSEV Radio, the voice of Texas, 700 AM. We are
- 28:52Speaker 7: the Mob Guys, your morning show on KSEV. I am
- 28:55Speaker 7: Craig Colonnades. He is Wayne Dolcefino. Lots and lots of
- 28:59Speaker 7: stuff to talk about. I mentioned this audio. We're going
- 29:01Speaker 7: to pay this off, Wayne. We've got two pieces, both Paxton.
- 29:05Speaker 7: One is a secret recording. I think it's only 26 seconds.
- 29:08Speaker 2: I do that.
- 29:09Speaker 6: I know you do. That the New York Times was leaked.
- 29:13Speaker 7: So shocking that they were sent it where someone asked
- 29:15Speaker 7: Ken Paxton how he feels about Donald Trump. And Ken
- 29:18Speaker 7: Paxton didn't say nice things about President Trump.
- 29:21Speaker 6: Let's go ahead and play on this. If this actually. Oh, wait,
- 29:24Speaker 6: hold on. I got to make sure that this plays
- 29:26Speaker 6: in this button.
- 29:26Speaker 1: And now you feel like all these.
- 29:32Speaker 2: But do you feel like he's a little bit of
- 29:34Speaker 2: a dad?
- 29:35Speaker 14: So to be honest with you, the numbers, in case
- 29:38Speaker 14: when we did that on convention.
- 29:30Speaker 2: Yeah, so basically, if you didn't understand.
- 29:34Speaker 14: That, he says that the numbers seem to indicate that
- 29:39Speaker 14: things are not good in the world.
- 29:40Speaker 11: Of President Trump.
- 29:59Speaker 7: Not helping, but maybe hurting. Honestly, not just his campaign,
- 30:03Speaker 7: but I think this is the sentiment they're talking about.
- 30:05Speaker 7: A lot of conservative campaign. I don't know that I
- 30:08Speaker 7: truly believe that because the data is always so sketchy.
- 30:12Speaker 6: But I do think there's a chance it could be true.
- 30:13Speaker 6: What do you want to say?
- 30:15Speaker 5: Look, I do think there's a wear factor on President Trump.
- 30:19Speaker 5: And I think I respect and appreciate what he's trying
- 30:24Speaker 5: to do. I think he's trying to play chess a lot.
- 30:27Speaker 5: He's trying to restrict. reshape America so we have more
- 30:31Speaker 5: manufacturing here, investment here, jobs for everybody because prices aren't
- 30:36Speaker 5: going to come down. I mean, gas price will, but
- 30:39Speaker 5: other stuff is... Companies raise prices during COVID. They raise
- 30:43Speaker 5: them like 20-something percent and they haven't ever come down,
- 30:46Speaker 5: which I think is a big pile of crap because
- 30:49Speaker 5: a lot of people are making a lot of money.
- 30:51Speaker 2: I think there's a greed factor. But who wants to
- 30:54Speaker 2: be the first to lower your prices? It costs me now.
- 30:59Speaker 2: Twice as much to do what I used to do.
- 31:01Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 31:02Speaker 5: Cause I need more people to do it because they
- 31:05Speaker 5: don't want to work for, you know, minimum wage is
- 31:07Speaker 5: going to.
- 31:07Speaker 2: Be $ 50 an hour or something. And, you know, and
- 31:11Speaker 2: it's look, but the prices probably aren't going to go
- 31:16Speaker 2: down that much except for a few things.
- 31:18Speaker 5: I think the gas thing is, way overblown in terms
- 31:22Speaker 5: of what... People can't decide if they're going to eat
- 31:25Speaker 5: or put gas in their car. Look, there might be
- 31:28Speaker 5: some people on the lower ends of the spectrum that
- 31:31Speaker 5: can't do that.
- 31:32Speaker 2: But look, we all notice the gas prices, but I
- 31:35Speaker 2: don't think.
- 31:35Speaker 5: The average middle class family is saying, we're not going
- 31:40Speaker 5: to buy food for the kids this week because it's
- 31:42Speaker 5: going to cost me another eight bucks to do gas.
- 31:46Speaker 5: And we're raising property taxes here 41%. So I'll take
- 31:51Speaker 5: the war over Harris County government any.
- 31:53Speaker 2: Day of the week.
- 31:53Speaker 17: Amen.
- 31:54Speaker 7: The other piece of audio that we're going to play,
- 31:56Speaker 7: this is Ken Paxton at a– I think this was
- 31:59Speaker 7: a Hispanic business conference of some kind where he sat
- 32:03Speaker 7: down and answered questions.
- 32:04Speaker 6: And one of the questions was about Adam Hoffman.
- 32:06Speaker 7: That is the case that inevitably gets people on the
- 32:09Speaker 7: left to accuse Paxton of being a, like, sex predator
- 32:13Speaker 7: protector kind of person.
- 32:15Speaker 6: It's ridiculous. It's really ridiculous. But Ken Paxton, I thought,
- 32:17Speaker 6: gave a decent answer to that question. Here we go.
- 32:19Speaker 6: Since I got there?
- 32:20Speaker 14: And, you know, I've had to deal with this crazy
- 32:22Speaker 14: ad that's been running against me saying that I let
- 32:24Speaker 14: this predator out of jail. It's not quite as it's presented.
- 32:28Speaker 14: It's actually very misrepresented of what actually happened. We try
- 32:31Speaker 14: these cases. We don't always control how the jury determines them.
- 32:35Speaker 14: So we were in a case with an underage person
- 32:39Speaker 14: who we got a 7-5 jury split on. You have
- 32:43Speaker 14: to be unanimous. We had 7 in our favorite 5.
- 32:47Speaker 14: So our child witness who was Our best evidence didn't
- 32:53Speaker 14: want to testify.
- 32:53Speaker 2: We couldn't testify.
- 32:55Speaker 14: We could have forced it. We could have subpoenaed that person,
- 32:57Speaker 14: that kid, and made them testify. They already knew that
- 33:01Speaker 14: we'd lost the first case. It wasn't a loss, but
- 33:04Speaker 14: we didn't get it. So five jurors weren't confident of
- 33:07Speaker 14: that testimony for some reason. In some ways, I don't
- 33:10Speaker 14: blame that kid for not wanting to go through that
- 33:11Speaker 14: one more time. And yet the criticism has been that
- 33:15Speaker 14: I let a child predator out having one day.
- 33:17Speaker 2: Well, guess what?
- 33:18Speaker 14: They served 60 days. It wasn't what we wanted, but
- 33:21Speaker 14: we did not control that situation. We did our best
- 33:23Speaker 14: to present the case. The jury decided what it was
- 33:27Speaker 14: we wanted.
- 33:27Speaker 6: I'll jump in real quick. What do you want to
- 33:30Speaker 6: say about this?
- 33:31Speaker 5: Well, I just want to say that I think in
- 33:34Speaker 5: that setting, he looks very comfortable.
- 33:36Speaker 2: Yes.
- 33:37Speaker 16: Right.
- 33:38Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 33:38Speaker 5: And so if I was going to be him, I
- 33:40Speaker 5: would argue I'm not doing a debate at a podium.
- 33:43Speaker 2: Right.
- 33:43Speaker 8: Right.
- 33:43Speaker 2: Let's have a let's get a conference table. Sit down. Yeah.
- 33:47Speaker 2: Sit down and answer questions. I think you should do
- 33:50Speaker 2: a town hall.
- 33:51Speaker 9: Right.
- 33:51Speaker 2: Look, I.
- 33:52Speaker 7: Well, I think they could do like a back and
- 33:53Speaker 7: forth town hall. I remember when Trump and Hillary did
- 33:56Speaker 7: one of those where they're taking the questions. But I
- 33:58Speaker 7: want to say one other thing about something Ken Paxton
- 34:00Speaker 7: said in about a minute of audio there.
- 34:03Speaker 6: Because I've known people who had child abuse parts.
- 34:07Speaker 2: That I think that stuff.
- 34:08Speaker 6: I'm sure you do.
- 34:09Speaker 7: And he's absolutely right in saying that the victim of
- 34:14Speaker 7: the predator, the person, may have been the reason that
- 34:18Speaker 7: this testimony didn't happen a second time. And what are
- 34:20Speaker 7: you supposed to do if a young person who was
- 34:23Speaker 7: abused by someone else, or that's the accusation, says, you
- 34:27Speaker 7: know what, I've testified once. If for some reason it
- 34:29Speaker 7: didn't work with the jury, I don't want to go
- 34:31Speaker 7: do it again.
- 34:32Speaker 6: You force that person into a case. Well, you don't
- 34:35Speaker 6: have a case, but you also force that person into
- 34:36Speaker 6: a courtroom.
- 34:37Speaker 7: No, the human thing to do is to understand and
- 34:40Speaker 7: respect that individual and what they're saying. And Ken Paxton
- 34:43Speaker 7: saying that's essentially what occurred, that the person who testified
- 34:46Speaker 7: didn't want to do it again.
- 34:47Speaker 6: And so, all right, we're going to let them not
- 34:50Speaker 6: do that.
- 34:51Speaker 5: I just I just don't think that Democrat ad helps
- 34:56Speaker 5: anything really for them. I think the problem Ken Paxton
- 35:00Speaker 5: has is. is partially created by his unwillingness to do
- 35:05Speaker 5: a lot of sit-downs like that. I think he's got
- 35:07Speaker 5: to show people that he's an authentic guy, that he
- 35:12Speaker 5: has a passion. I don't know what Ken Paxton is
- 35:16Speaker 5: going to do for me. I mean, I know what
- 35:17Speaker 5: he's going to do for me because of the.
- 35:19Speaker 2: Policies, right?
- 35:20Speaker 5: But I don't think a lot of people know the difference,
- 35:23Speaker 5: and that's why my brainstorm about some game show, which
- 35:27Speaker 5: would be a funny ad, right? And we could have
- 35:30Speaker 5: We could have Paxson saying what he believes in, and
- 35:33Speaker 5: we could have Tallarico saying his weird stuff, right?
- 35:36Speaker 2: It would be entertaining.
- 35:37Speaker 5: I just think he needs to have a message to
- 35:41Speaker 5: people about why we need to stick with what we're doing.
- 35:46Speaker 5: Trump didn't say it enough, but he did say that
- 35:49Speaker 5: there was going to be a little pain, and that
- 35:51Speaker 5: was before the war, because we're trying to restructure the
- 35:55Speaker 5: damage we did to this country over the last 20 years, Republicans, Democrats,
- 36:00Speaker 5: by a Sending all the jobs overseas, right, by trying
- 36:03Speaker 5: to make companies rich. Look, I understand as a conservative
- 36:08Speaker 5: the frustrations of the people out there.
- 36:11Speaker 2: I do.
- 36:12Speaker 5: I fight government every day of the week. I understand it.
- 36:16Speaker 5: I appreciate it, the level of incompetence, the corruption, the fraud, everything, right?
- 36:22Speaker 5: I was watching some Nick Shirley stuff last night on Facebook,
- 36:24Speaker 5: and it's like fight with those. Somalian guys, everyone makes
- 36:28Speaker 5: it about, well, you're just attacking us because you're Somalians.
- 36:30Speaker 2: No, we're attacking you because you're thieves. Right.
- 36:33Speaker 6: And we're figuring out how you're thieves. We're learning it.
- 36:37Speaker 5: And I just, I really wish we could just get
- 36:41Speaker 5: someone to, we really need another Charlie Kirk right now.
- 36:44Speaker 6: We desperately need a Charlie Kirk.
- 36:47Speaker 7: I do want to transition to one other thing, though,
- 36:49Speaker 7: if you want, because we were talking a little bit
- 36:51Speaker 7: about sports off the air.
- 36:52Speaker 2: Well, you've already started, so I guess I have to. Yeah.
- 36:56Speaker 7: Unless we want to keep talking about Charlie Kirk, I
- 36:58Speaker 7: don't know what the answer is to react to your statement,
- 37:01Speaker 7: because I don't think there is another Charlie Kirk. I
- 37:03Speaker 7: just don't think another one's going to come out of
- 37:04Speaker 7: the woodwork. And honestly, I'll say this, I guess, before
- 37:07Speaker 7: we transition to a different topic. Part of what made
- 37:10Speaker 7: Charlie Kirk so great was the 10, 15 years that
- 37:13Speaker 7: you never heard of him, that he was a 20-something
- 37:16Speaker 7: who was debating people on college campuses and really refining
- 37:21Speaker 7: his message.
- 37:22Speaker 6: And honestly, what a loss.
- 37:24Speaker 7: But his way to argue with the left was refined
- 37:27Speaker 7: at a time when he wasn't subject to this constant,
- 37:30Speaker 7: you know, breaking down of everything he said. And then
- 37:33Speaker 7: he became very famous. And I think a lot of
- 37:36Speaker 7: people talked about how good of a job he did
- 37:38Speaker 7: debating others. But like he built that skill set.
- 37:42Speaker 5: My last suggestion before we talk about baseball is that
- 37:46Speaker 5: I think common sense and crazy. has to be in
- 37:52Speaker 5: every theme yeah and i think we could show clips
- 37:55Speaker 5: of paxton we could show clips of talarico but i
- 37:58Speaker 5: really think we have to appeal to those lazy republicans
- 38:02Speaker 5: sure i call them lazy um to get off their
- 38:05Speaker 5: butt right yeah and and and look the black dudes
- 38:09Speaker 5: out there they're trying to figure it out right the
- 38:12Speaker 5: hispanic folks their culture is much more aligned with us
- 38:16Speaker 5: right right I've always been an advocate for a lot
- 38:19Speaker 5: more outreach in those communities because I think when you
- 38:23Speaker 5: talk to those people and you actually say, what do
- 38:26Speaker 5: you believe about this, this, and this, they're a lot
- 38:29Speaker 5: closer to us.
- 38:30Speaker 7: Well, and I think that's where you're saying that maybe
- 38:31Speaker 7: some of those messages are landing not as effectively as
- 38:34Speaker 7: they were before for the general public, but they do
- 38:37Speaker 7: land pretty well there, like men playing in women's sports.
- 38:40Speaker 6: They don't like that.
- 38:41Speaker 7: They don't like some of the abandoning of certain faith-based
- 38:45Speaker 7: values that But I want to say this last thing.
- 38:47Speaker 6: This is what I meant about Charlie Kirk.
- 38:48Speaker 7: And I kind of think what we're saying, too, the
- 38:51Speaker 7: thing that made him so great is his willingness to
- 38:54Speaker 7: talk to the other side. And I think if it's
- 38:56Speaker 7: debating for Ken Paxton, debating Tallarico, I think cutting off that,
- 39:01Speaker 7: as you're even saying, that communication piece back and forth
- 39:04Speaker 7: is part of the problem. And it does alienate the
- 39:07Speaker 7: people in the middle if they think you're unwilling. And
- 39:09Speaker 7: Charlie was profoundly willing. And unfortunately, it's probably what got
- 39:13Speaker 7: him killed to go talk to the people that hated him.
- 39:16Speaker 6: The most. It's guys like you who go face the
- 39:18Speaker 6: people that don't like you.
- 39:19Speaker 2: I'll say it right now. I won't even charge him
- 39:21Speaker 2: for it.
- 39:22Speaker 5: If Ken Paxton wants me to interview him, I will
- 39:26Speaker 5: ask him all the tough questions.
- 39:28Speaker 2: I really will.
- 39:30Speaker 5: And I will play it, and it will get– we'll
- 39:33Speaker 5: buy ads. The Republicans can pay for the ads, and
- 39:36Speaker 5: we'll buy ads. And it will be seen by hundreds
- 39:39Speaker 5: of thousands of people, I promise you, not because I'm
- 39:41Speaker 5: such a big deal, but just because I know we
- 39:43Speaker 5: have that kind of reach.
- 39:45Speaker 2: And I will ask him all the tough questions.
- 39:48Speaker 9: Right.
- 39:48Speaker 16: Right.
- 39:49Speaker 2: It's sort of like.
- 39:50Speaker 5: One show pony interviewing another, right? It's a chance to
- 39:54Speaker 5: have a sit-down chat to talk. Look, and I thought
- 39:58Speaker 5: the Nate Paul thing, the whole bribery thing was sort
- 40:01Speaker 5: of nonsense because they couldn't prove it, right? If you
- 40:03Speaker 5: can't prove it, then, you know, you got to be
- 40:05Speaker 5: careful before you can document something.
- 40:09Speaker 2: But I invite him, right? I won't charge him. I
- 40:12Speaker 2: just want to sit down with him. And let that
- 40:15Speaker 2: be the sound bites that are used.
- 40:17Speaker 7: And I'm guessing you'd also allow Tallarico to be there
- 40:20Speaker 7: and you could do a town hall with.
- 40:21Speaker 6: Both of them. You wouldn't. I think you'd be great
- 40:23Speaker 6: at that.
- 40:24Speaker 7: I think moderating a town hall, not a debate where
- 40:26Speaker 7: both guys are there and you ask them both tough
- 40:28Speaker 7: questions would be.
- 40:28Speaker 2: I volunteer. I volunteer to do it.
- 40:31Speaker 6: I think that'd be amazing.
- 40:32Speaker 2: So can you call the campaign?
- 40:34Speaker 6: Yeah, I can. And I got the numbers.
- 40:36Speaker 2: We will give you guys. We could do it here
- 40:39Speaker 2: on the show.
- 40:39Speaker 6: Sure. We'll blow out all the commercials, too.
- 40:42Speaker 2: I'm sure.
- 40:42Speaker 5: We'll blow out everybody and we'll have Tallarico and Paxton. Yeah.
- 40:46Speaker 2: They don't have to be in the same room. They
- 40:48Speaker 2: can both be on Zoom.
- 40:49Speaker 6: They can both be on our, yes, our digital. That'd
- 40:52Speaker 6: be great. And you'd be the perfect guy to do this,
- 40:54Speaker 6: I think.
- 40:55Speaker 2: I'll do it.
- 40:56Speaker 5: And I will offer, I will even bring Carter.
- 41:00Speaker 2: He doesn't know it yet, but I'll bring Carter for
- 41:01Speaker 2: my staff. He's my spirit animal.
- 41:05Speaker 7: All right, so a little bit about sports because Russell
- 41:08Speaker 7: does the show every single morning, and he was talking
- 41:09Speaker 7: about the Astros yesterday, and then you keep talking about
- 41:12Speaker 7: it during the breaks. Not a great game one, but
- 41:15Speaker 7: you're very confident they'll win game two.
- 41:17Speaker 5: I think they're going to win today, and I think
- 41:19Speaker 5: that– I forget the other guy's pitching.
- 41:22Speaker 2: I'm getting old.
- 41:23Speaker 5: But the guy that's pitching– Hunter's pitching tonight, Hunter Brown,
- 41:26Speaker 5: was Nesky.
- 41:28Speaker 2: He's been a really good lady.
- 41:29Speaker 5: If we can win tonight and our bullpen doesn't collapse–
- 41:35Speaker 5: and we could do what we normally do, get six
- 41:38Speaker 5: innings and then.
- 41:39Speaker 2: Do the Abreu, you know, thing.
- 41:41Speaker 5: If we could win today, I'm pretty confident in Wisniewski
- 41:47Speaker 5: on the third game. I think they're not in as
- 41:50Speaker 5: bad shape. And they weren't, you know, other than the
- 41:53Speaker 5: first pitcher, you know, giving up three runs or walking
- 41:57Speaker 5: 19 guys in the first inning or whatever we did.
- 41:59Speaker 2: You kind of felt that it wasn't going to be
- 42:00Speaker 2: a good day. Mm-hmm.
- 42:02Speaker 5: But they still were in the game. They still fought.
- 42:04Speaker 5: And look, they're not a great team. We're all kidding ourselves.
- 42:09Speaker 5: We think they're going to be in the World Series, right?
- 42:11Speaker 5: It's not going to happen.
- 42:12Speaker 6: You never know.
- 42:13Speaker 2: You can get hot. Ask Russell if the Astros.
- 42:18Speaker 6: Are going to be in the World Series. Probably not.
- 42:20Speaker 6: The answer is probably not, is what he just said.
- 42:22Speaker 2: Okay, well, he's being kind.
- 42:25Speaker 6: You can get hot. That's the right way to say it.
- 42:27Speaker 7: I think that's the way Russell would say it, too,
- 42:29Speaker 7: is that any team can play exceptionally well.
- 42:32Speaker 6: In a very short window of time, to win a
- 42:34Speaker 6: World Series.
- 42:35Speaker 5: Yeah, I will say this, and I don't want to
- 42:36Speaker 5: be unpopular, because you know me, I worry about my reputation. Altuve,
- 42:43Speaker 5: to me, almost seems like a sure out now on
- 42:46Speaker 5: a lot of these things. Am I the only one
- 42:47Speaker 5: that's seen that, Russell?
- 42:49Speaker 6: I feel weird.
- 42:50Speaker 2: He's been hitting the ball better.
- 42:51Speaker 7: Okay, Russell's saying he hits the ball better.
- 42:53Speaker 6: I feel weird weighing in on that.
- 42:56Speaker 2: No, well, I know, because you don't like him, whatever.
- 42:59Speaker 6: Actually, I don't dislike Altuve that much.
- 43:03Speaker 7: Did you see the Yankee game or did you not
- 43:05Speaker 7: watch it last night?
- 43:07Speaker 6: Nine, nothing.
- 43:08Speaker 2: I made Asian crock pot chicken.
- 43:10Speaker 6: Nine, nothing. Cam Schlittler looked like a Cy Young award winner.
- 43:13Speaker 7: He, they chanted MVP at one point, his curve ball,
- 43:17Speaker 7: which was not one of the pitches he used a
- 43:19Speaker 7: whole lot during the regular season was incredible at 25
- 43:22Speaker 7: years old. And he has two of the best starts
- 43:26Speaker 7: in the post-season in Yankee history for a person that young.
- 43:30Speaker 6: I think he's the only person.
- 43:31Speaker 7: Actually, maybe in all of baseball that has that many strikeouts,
- 43:34Speaker 7: no runs given out in this few innings at the
- 43:37Speaker 7: beginning of a career.
- 43:38Speaker 2: It's a great rivalry. The Yankee-Boston thing is a good rivalry.
- 43:41Speaker 6: It is a great rivalry.
- 43:41Speaker 2: But I was.
- 43:42Speaker 5: Cooking Asian crockpot chicken, which I'll have the recipe on
- 43:46Speaker 5: my site.
- 43:46Speaker 6: No, I won't.
- 43:48Speaker 5: And then I'm, like, diabetic, so I eat, like, Asian
- 43:52Speaker 5: food at 10 o'clock at night.
- 43:53Speaker 2: Nice.
- 43:53Speaker 6: That's good. And then I, like, pass out. You were
- 43:56Speaker 6: also asking me about booing. That's something you wanted to
- 43:58Speaker 6: talk about.
- 43:58Speaker 5: Yeah, so there was a big discussion on sports radio
- 44:01Speaker 5: this morning as I was driving into this slave chamber
- 44:05Speaker 5: I call an office. And they were talking about whether
- 44:08Speaker 5: it's right for people to boo.
- 44:11Speaker 2: The Astros, there was a lot of booing.
- 44:13Speaker 5: Does Russell think booing is okay?
- 44:15Speaker 7: So you're asking specifically if it's okay to boo your
- 44:17Speaker 7: own team?
- 44:18Speaker 2: Yeah. Absolutely. Absolutely.
- 44:20Speaker 6: Russell says absolutely to that question.
- 44:23Speaker 2: Yeah, that was the feeling of those guys, right? First
- 44:26Speaker 2: of all, these guys are being paid a ton of money, right?
- 44:29Speaker 3: They are.
- 44:30Speaker 5: So wind me a river, right? We're paying you $ 900, 000
- 44:33Speaker 5: and you can't throw a strike.
- 44:35Speaker 6: But what do you think? I want to hear the whole,
- 44:37Speaker 6: do you think no?
- 44:40Speaker 10: You know what?
- 44:41Speaker 2: I don't think I've ever booed my own team at
- 44:46Speaker 2: an event, right? So I'm a little queasy about it,
- 44:50Speaker 2: I'll be honest.
- 44:50Speaker 6: I get it. Here's what I've said before because the
- 44:52Speaker 6: Yankees– fans are famous.
- 44:53Speaker 2: For booing they're not like ai robots.
- 44:56Speaker 7: No i know they're not and they've complained about it
- 44:58Speaker 7: and and some players good players have even said if
- 45:00Speaker 7: if i'm in the atmosphere where my own fans are
- 45:03Speaker 7: going to boo me maybe i don't want to sign
- 45:05Speaker 7: my next free agent contract there maybe i'm going to
- 45:07Speaker 7: go play somewhere else but the yankees fans are famous
- 45:10Speaker 7: for booing their own players i've always called it this
- 45:12Speaker 7: is a very mob guy thing to me it's like
- 45:14Speaker 7: a loving boo we're booing you uh to try to
- 45:17Speaker 7: encourage you to not.
- 45:18Speaker 6: Be so bad. That's what I say.
- 45:20Speaker 7: We're booing you to be good again so we can
- 45:23Speaker 7: cheer you again. And if you don't get better, well,
- 45:26Speaker 7: you might keep getting booed. So I don't dislike it,
- 45:29Speaker 7: but I don't know that it succeeds all the time.
- 45:32Speaker 5: Well, I think they brought in that Sousa guy who
- 45:34Speaker 5: apparently has not pitched very well this year. And I
- 45:36Speaker 5: was a little scared when I saw him come out.
- 45:39Speaker 5: But why don't they play that? The only pitcher they
- 45:43Speaker 5: didn't use was that.
- 45:46Speaker 6: Maybe Russell should answer this question.
- 45:48Speaker 2: Japanese guy. Russell, sit down and talk to him.
- 45:50Speaker 6: Russell, sit down and talk.
- 45:51Speaker 4: I don't know why they're not using I-Main. He would
- 45:53Speaker 4: have been a better option in the bullpen, better option
- 45:55Speaker 4: to be the opener yesterday because he was a starter
- 45:57Speaker 4: at the beginning of the season. And since he's been
- 45:59Speaker 4: in the bullpen, he's been carrying an ERA of 2.00
- 46:02Speaker 4: in his 18-20 innings that he's pitched out of there
- 46:06Speaker 4: with the opponents batting 129.
- 46:08Speaker 5: Yeah, there must be something they see in him mentally
- 46:13Speaker 5: or something, Russell.
- 46:14Speaker 2: I don't know, but it's just. It's weird.
- 46:16Speaker 5: It's kind of like, you know, there's like five guys
- 46:18Speaker 5: on the bench and you put the four out there
- 46:21Speaker 5: and then there's one guy left on the bench and
- 46:23Speaker 5: you're looking around him to see if there's anyone else there.
- 46:25Speaker 5: It's like they don't want to play this guy. I mean,
- 46:27Speaker 5: I don't know what he said. Maybe he insulted the
- 46:31Speaker 5: manager in Japanese or Chinese or whatever he is.
- 46:34Speaker 7: I'm curious what you think. Do you think it's a mental, like,
- 46:37Speaker 7: a competitor thing, Russell? Do you think that management thinks
- 46:40Speaker 7: that he might wilt?
- 46:40Speaker 9: I don't know.
- 46:41Speaker 4: I really don't know. I mean, obviously so to where
- 46:44Speaker 4: they took him out of the starting rotation, but ever
- 46:46Speaker 4: since he's been in the bullpen, he's been pretty much
- 46:49Speaker 4: lights out.
- 46:50Speaker 2: Why they don't use him.
- 46:51Speaker 4: More, I can't speak to that.
- 46:53Speaker 6: Fair enough. Were you impressed with the Yankees? I'm just curious.
- 46:56Speaker 4: Yes, Cam Schlittler was Cam last night.
- 46:58Speaker 6: He's incredible, yeah.
- 46:59Speaker 4: And, yeah, they gave it to them just like the
- 47:03Speaker 4: Padres did to the Cubs, too.
- 47:04Speaker 6: They did, yeah.
- 47:05Speaker 2: All right, enough of sports. Enough of Russell. Russell, it
- 47:09Speaker 2: was really fun talking to you.
- 47:10Speaker 6: Yeah, I don't think that. You just don't want to
- 47:12Speaker 6: talk about the Yankees is what it is.
- 47:13Speaker 16: No, no.
- 47:14Speaker 5: Look, I think people who are tuning in to AM700KZV
- 47:19Speaker 5: are saying, did.
- 47:21Speaker 2: I push the wrong button?
- 47:23Speaker 6: No, you know what's funny?
- 47:24Speaker 2: Do we still have buttons on?
- 47:25Speaker 9: Well, hold on.
- 47:25Speaker 6: You know what's funny about that?
- 47:26Speaker 7: I want to ask you a question about that, actually,
- 47:27Speaker 7: because it's the end of the show. We have six
- 47:29Speaker 7: minutes left, and I'm intrigued by that. Houston has a
- 47:31Speaker 7: whole lot of people who weren't born here. A lot
- 47:35Speaker 7: of people who live here weren't born here. So if
- 47:36Speaker 7: we want to gain a wide audience, isn't there a
- 47:40Speaker 7: chance that there's a decent amount of people who live
- 47:42Speaker 7: in this audience that do want to talk about things
- 47:45Speaker 7: other than– I'm not saying that.
- 47:46Speaker 6: We shouldn't focus on Texas since we live here.
- 47:49Speaker 7: But this is one of a few cities in the
- 47:51Speaker 7: country that has a massive amount of transplants who happen
- 47:55Speaker 7: to live within our frequency.
- 47:58Speaker 5: We're an internationally diverse city.
- 48:01Speaker 7: I think it's a flawed version of an opinion to
- 48:03Speaker 7: think that we're like rural Texas, because we're not.
- 48:06Speaker 6: The city of Houston... is rather diverse.
- 48:10Speaker 2: Hey, get the cows to shut.
- 48:12Speaker 6: Up out there.
- 48:13Speaker 7: And it's every place I've ever had a decent amount
- 48:16Speaker 7: of radio time that I spent, Chicago. There were the
- 48:19Speaker 7: people who thought, it's got to be all the time.
- 48:22Speaker 7: You only talk about the teams that are local. And
- 48:25Speaker 7: a significant amount, half the audience, actually likes somebody else.
- 48:28Speaker 7: So I'm just putting it out there that it might
- 48:31Speaker 7: be a flawed perspective.
- 48:32Speaker 2: All right, cannolis, your house tonight.
- 48:36Speaker 6: I'm not saying you crap on the local teams. That's suicide.
- 48:39Speaker 6: You don't do that.
- 48:40Speaker 7: But I do think there's a large chance that there's...
- 48:43Speaker 7: I see Yankee hats in Houston all the time. I
- 48:46Speaker 7: see people wearing them.
- 48:47Speaker 2: It's cool. The NY is a cool thing, man.
- 48:50Speaker 6: I have a New York.
- 48:51Speaker 2: I have an NYPD hat. Nice.
- 48:53Speaker 6: There you go.
- 48:54Speaker 5: I have an NYPD shirt. I have some underwear that
- 48:57Speaker 5: I think is NYPD, right? So I'm a big fan of...
- 49:01Speaker 5: of the culture of that place, because I think it
- 49:04Speaker 5: produces a lot of perceptive people, right?
- 49:07Speaker 6: Well, I don't even mean New York specifically. Like, we
- 49:09Speaker 6: could talk, because I just Googled it.
- 49:11Speaker 11: Milwaukee.
- 49:12Speaker 2: What do you think about Milwaukee?
- 49:15Speaker 7: 51% of Houston's population, and that's the surrounding area, not
- 49:19Speaker 7: just the city itself.
- 49:20Speaker 6: Is not from Texas.
- 49:21Speaker 7: 51% of the people who listen to this.
- 49:24Speaker 6: Which is bold. It might be. That might be the
- 49:28Speaker 6: reason why. And I honestly think they did that on purpose.
- 49:30Speaker 7: And a lot of the people like me who came
- 49:32Speaker 7: from Chicago probably think horrible Chicago stuff and not the
- 49:35Speaker 7: things I think.
- 49:37Speaker 5: By the way, real quick, Marco Rubio, you should look
- 49:40Speaker 5: at his site because they're coming out with passports that
- 49:42Speaker 5: you could just do online. It's not like go to
- 49:45Speaker 5: Walgreens anymore and pay $ 10 for someone to shoot a
- 49:48Speaker 5: jailhouse picture of you. It's all going to be done digitally.
- 49:52Speaker 5: I think why can't we also in the passports or
- 49:58Speaker 5: passport card, why can't we create a national ID card?
- 50:02Speaker 5: They've got all our information anyway. It just says I'm
- 50:07Speaker 5: a citizen because I don't know whether it's 20 people
- 50:10Speaker 5: or 20,000 people or two million people that are voting
- 50:12Speaker 5: that shouldn't be voting. But we know that there are
- 50:14Speaker 5: cases of it.
- 50:15Speaker 8: Right.
- 50:16Speaker 2: They don't care. We do.
- 50:18Speaker 5: But I have no confidence anymore that all these people
- 50:22Speaker 5: that are getting driver's licenses in the left wing states
- 50:27Speaker 5: cannot use those driver's licenses to get.
- 50:32Speaker 7: It's literally designed on purpose, especially places like California.
- 50:34Speaker 6: You need a gym membership there.
- 50:36Speaker 7: You can show up and show that you have a
- 50:38Speaker 7: gym membership and they'll let you vote like it's that bad.
- 50:40Speaker 2: I think that's the way it should be.
- 50:42Speaker 5: I think we should use 24-hour fitness.
- 50:45Speaker 2: If you have a 24-hour fitness card that you can vote.
- 50:49Speaker 2: And if you don't, then you can't.
- 50:51Speaker 6: It could be the polling place. You just show up
- 50:53Speaker 6: at the 24-hour fitness to vote as long as you
- 50:55Speaker 6: sign up.
- 50:56Speaker 2: But I'll leave this frustration with you.
- 50:58Speaker 6: All right, go ahead.
- 50:59Speaker 5: I do not understand for the life of me why
- 51:03Speaker 5: the Republicans left town from Washington. why they're not putting
- 51:08Speaker 5: up bills every day.
- 51:09Speaker 2: Of course. Put up the Save America Act. Of course.
- 51:10Speaker 6: I don't understand.
- 51:11Speaker 17: Put it up.
- 51:12Speaker 2: Look, I'd rather lose.
- 51:13Speaker 5: A fight and let people know that I'm fighting, that
- 51:17Speaker 5: it's not my fault this isn't happening. It's their fault.
- 51:21Speaker 2: And the unwillingness to do that really makes me mad.
- 51:24Speaker 7: I'm going to plug something in response to that with
- 51:26Speaker 7: just a couple minutes. We aired it yesterday. My cousin Vince,
- 51:29Speaker 7: his show, he interviewed J.D. Vance yesterday, so the vice
- 51:32Speaker 7: president was on his show. And during the conversation— That
- 51:36Speaker 7: question came up. Why aren't you in session right now
- 51:40Speaker 7: trying to get more done? Now, granted, Vance isn't actually
- 51:44Speaker 7: a senator, but he's obviously in charge. And he said
- 51:47Speaker 7: that they know who the holdouts are, and he name-dropped
- 51:50Speaker 7: Cornyn among them. And so right now, if they try
- 51:52Speaker 7: to pass something, they know the four Republicans who will
- 51:55Speaker 7: say no, which will stonewall their ability to do anything.
- 51:58Speaker 2: Again, it's not about getting— look, sometimes a fight— I do this professionally, right?
- 52:04Speaker 6: I agree with you.
- 52:05Speaker 5: You wage a fight because it's an important fight to wage.
- 52:10Speaker 2: And even if you lose.
- 52:12Speaker 5: It will reinforce in people's minds that the problem isn't
- 52:16Speaker 5: the Republicans. The problem is there aren't enough Republicans in
- 52:21Speaker 5: the Senate.
- 52:21Speaker 6: I wholeheartedly agree with you. I think they should fight
- 52:24Speaker 6: to fight.
- 52:25Speaker 7: And if people fight against them, we should constantly be
- 52:27Speaker 7: reminded that.
- 52:28Speaker 6: These are the roadblocks.
- 52:30Speaker 2: Don't you feed on media, baby. We're street fighters.
- 52:32Speaker 6: There you go.
- 52:33Speaker 2: That's the way you got to do it, man.
- 52:35Speaker 5: You got to fight like you're fighting in the street
- 52:37Speaker 5: because they hate us.
- 52:39Speaker 6: They do.
- 52:40Speaker 2: They think we're all dumb and stupid.
- 52:42Speaker 6: They do.
- 52:43Speaker 5: And that we all need to worry about all this
- 52:45Speaker 5: nonsense they're trying to peddle. and we just don't fight
- 52:48Speaker 5: back enough.
- 52:49Speaker 7: All right, go Astros. Does that make you feel happy?
- 52:51Speaker 7: Go Astros for game two. Please go ahead and beat
- 52:53Speaker 7: the White Sox, Chicago.
- 52:55Speaker 6: We're out of here. That's the end of the Amigos.
- 52:58Speaker 6: You said the Amigos. I almost called it the Amigos.
- 53:01Speaker 2: You're not even an Amigo.
- 53:02Speaker 7: The mob guys, neither one of us are Amigos on
- 53:04Speaker 7: KSEV Radio.
- 53:05Speaker 6: Talk to you tomorrow.
