- 0:23Congratulations, you have made it inside the treehouse. Time to believe your warriors
- 0:30outside and join me Daniel Malley, Trey Trenholm, and Ron Sharman as we
- 0:39get stupid on a Monday. Yeah. So, uh, Trey, you
- 0:44were starting to tell us something right before we got started. Uh what?
- 0:51Oh did y'all know that like phone sects, ads and lines were a thing
- 0:58again? No? Yeah, like I you know, working in bars and
- 1:04you have TVs on all the time. Yeah, Now after midnight you start
- 1:07seeing phone sex line ads again. Like, wait, with all the technology,
- 1:12that's what's making a comeback. Is it a real person or is it
- 1:19it is? Ay, it is everything you would remember from an ad from
- 1:25twenty years ago. Flad chicks you know, yeah, hot, heavy,
- 1:32blah blah. You know it's just same same ad. Just I'm like,
- 1:38the same. How does that make a comeback? It really is. The
- 1:42party line thing is back too, by the way, that whole life are
- 1:45you do you want a party with like all the hot chicks in your area,
- 1:49Like they don't give you any specific like they don't tell you like in
- 1:52Dallas or like in your area. It's like it's still but it's still like
- 1:56a dollar dollar ninety nine cents a minute, now, I think is what
- 2:00it is? Is what I said on the last one. Do you know
- 2:01what, Here's what's brilliant about it? And it just dawned on me and
- 2:05why they're doing it. You have a whole generation who has no concept that
- 2:08their phone, that phone actually could cost money making calls. Oh yeah,
- 2:14yeah, yeah, yeah yeah. You have a whole new generation of nerds
- 2:19so that that that need to that need to experience some loving at ninety nine
- 2:24cents a minute. They don't even know what long distance means. It's because
- 2:30it doesn't exist anymore. I know, That's what I'm saying. I mean,
- 2:32they that's not something that I bet there's so many of them that have
- 2:37no concept that you know, stuff like that. I mean, think about
- 2:40it. That's how they got it when we were kids. Is you have
- 2:43a bunch of kids calling those numbers because they didn't know, yeah, until
- 2:49the parents got the phone bill and it's you know, it's four thousand dollars.
- 2:52Yeah yeah. I remember one year we wanted to call. It was
- 2:55a Santa Claus one like where you could have a Santa send, like you
- 2:59can top the sand on the phone. And I was like okay. So
- 3:01it was like no, no, just just like yeah, just kids,
- 3:05Santa. It was like a little thing that popped up around the holidays,
- 3:07and it was off by one number. And I don't know if it was
- 3:13me that donald or my my cousin that dialed, but uh, it wasn't
- 3:15Santa that answered. Uh. It was like, uh, I'm not going
- 3:22to go into detail what the first line was, but that's how they no
- 3:25no pun intended to suck you in. But it was like and my and
- 3:30We're just listening to it for like a minute, and I'm like what And
- 3:32I hung up and I was like, oh, I think that was the
- 3:36wrong number. And it was like you know, nine seven six Santa or
- 3:40whatever. And so I, you know, doing that as a kid,
- 3:43trying to figure out that. Yeah, my dad, I think the bill
- 3:46for that was like I think then it was like four ninety nine a minute
- 3:50or something like that. Oh yeah. And when that, my Dad's like,
- 3:53you know, who know what was this five dollars charge for? And
- 3:55I was like oh, and it said on it like what the the line
- 3:59was? Oh, it wasn't Santa. It was like it was like a
- 4:03three something thing or whatever, and I'm like, we don't know what that
- 4:06is. We're just trying to call Santa with Prancer and obviously Vixen. Yeah,
- 4:16but they're back now one hundred percent and with the rates, I mean,
- 4:18you gotta give them credit. The rates are so much cheaper. Well
- 4:23with with out of control inflation. Ninety nine sent cubmentted sounds like a throwback
- 4:28price that actually is pretty good. It's like album back in the day.
- 4:31Some of those phone sex lines, they were like three ninety nine minute,
- 4:35Like you're saying, right, yeah, damn what No, you know no,
- 4:43I know that look on your face and I know that tone in your
- 4:46voice. No, We're gonna have to, you know, listen to the
- 4:48plus episode to really understand this. But Dan, yeah, one eight hundred
- 4:54Sexy Goat Oh yeah, uh yeah yeah Dan, do there we go?
- 5:10Huh you Trey, But I'll take the h I'll take the opportunity to plug
- 5:17the Treehouse Plus episode. You can go to patreon dot com slash Treehouse on
- 5:20air to listen uh to the new Goat Man of Bordeaux Mountain. Yes,
- 5:27and if we ever do it, if we ever do another uh special and
- 5:30you do it a Star Wars based one. You could be and I just
- 5:32thought of this name. I don't know how you've never thought of it,
- 5:34but you could be Dando Kelrissian. We actually did that one. Oh you
- 5:40did Okay, you did that a handful of years ago. Yeah. Oh
- 5:43that's a good I like it. That's what you should go for every every
- 5:46Halloween because your lightsaber would be amazing. Yeah. I've asked Alfie to send
- 5:50me, to send me all those and I was like three weeks ago and
- 5:53he was like, yeah, I put it on my to do list and
- 5:55then nothing. Dan Do set Now Dan Calrisian. I mean it was right
- 6:01there with Lando. But I mean I guess I guess you know what.
- 6:05I guess Dan Do could could replace the Darth and all the Sith people.
- 6:12Yeah, but you know Dan Do Vader Dan. You think about Bubba Fett's
- 6:17ship and I mean just you know, you could just make that a Penis
- 6:20and Dan Doo would be flying around New from lucasfilm. Yeah, that's the
- 6:35special. It's also how you end up with a sign in your front yard
- 6:42as the Dandelorian. Uh asking about where the child is. Anyway, back
- 6:50to the current state of affairs, yes, Uh, Hugh Tray was very
- 6:56much no I had. I had no idea that phone sex line? We
- 7:00were hot again? Is it a throwback thing? Is is it like people
- 7:11our age feeling like it's it's nostalgic, because look, nostalgia is a huge
- 7:15money maker right now. That's like even us talking about Star Wars. That's
- 7:19you know, nostalgia is the reason why Star Wars keeps printing money is because
- 7:25we keep going back to these new things that they throw out, hoping to
- 7:29recapture the feeling we had when we were kids watching these things and it's not
- 7:33really happening, but we we keep going back to that well because we're searching
- 7:38for that feeling. Is that what they're trying to do with the phone sex
- 7:42lines? I think Trey was spot on when it's like kids today are like,
- 7:46oh, let me call that number, because the fine they always had
- 7:48the fine print underneath the number. They don't look, they don't blare out
- 7:51at you like hey, this is gonna cost you money, right, And
- 7:56then you like he said, you know, he's working late night at the
- 7:57bar and you got a couple of guys in lonely get home and you're like
- 8:01you don't want to. I'm gonna call this number, and then they get
- 8:03the phone bill at the end of the month and they owe some four ladies
- 8:09sitting in a cubicle in New York, like four thousand dollars. I just
- 8:13don't understand why it is you're gonna call somebody when there's your there's there's porn
- 8:18everywhere online and not even just like porn porn. You can go yeah and
- 8:22and and talk to somebody live. Yeah, but think about that. Yeah,
- 8:28they never talk on the phone. So now you're talking about and talking
- 8:31about like having a human interaction and like they should the person or anything else
- 8:37and just just on the phone. It really I bet it to a lot
- 8:41of them. It is a novel concept. We should have a sex face
- 8:46time more than they actually call. Again, that actually plays intoto. What
- 8:50I'm saying this is, why would you go through an audio phone call that
- 8:54you may not have much experience with if you have a certain age, when
- 8:58you can easily just do a video chat with someone? Yeah, uh yeah,
- 9:07like like a cameo, like a favorite porn star send you a message
- 9:11something like that, or most of them have only fans, yeah, yeah,
- 9:16or like if they have a sexting app where you can charge kids for
- 9:22the sexting, and they they may actually think that they're actually going to pick
- 9:24up a chick as you I don't know if they're still selling them as like
- 9:28you know, it's a chat line and you're gonna you know, you know,
- 9:31local singles are on there, and they may think that, oh many
- 9:35is the new thing. Yeah, you know, I guess I could see
- 9:37it as a viable option when if you're a lonely man and you just spent
- 9:41you know, three four hours and three four thousand dollars at the strip club
- 9:46and obviously struck out, so you go home, You're like, well maybe
- 9:48that pretty lady on TV will will give me a shot. Yeah, And
- 9:54like I was saying, like if they sell it, like you know,
- 9:54do you want to talk to sexy ladies in your area and they're not here.
- 10:00They're like you know, college co eds, and like no, they're
- 10:03not just some fat lady at home. TCU girls are not sitting in their
- 10:09sorority house just waiting, you know, for for Tim the forty four year
- 10:13old and his underwear to call. But they sell it like that, right,
- 10:18So I mean that's uh so maybe that's what it is. Maybe it's
- 10:20like you know what I struck out tonight, but this party line, like
- 10:22maybe I can and then they and they have this thing because I saw it
- 10:26years ago. They did a documentary on it. But then you can go
- 10:30into like your own private chat with the one on one with the girl that
- 10:35you like, and then that's a separate thing. So it's the phone carrier's
- 10:39version of the champagne room. Yes, yeah, basically. And then could
- 10:46I then just take that five dollars credit that AT and T is giving me
- 10:50for the outage the other day and just apply it to the to their sex
- 10:54line. Yeah, just call for three minutes and that's all it's going to
- 10:58call. But what if they get you hooked? If man I got back,
- 11:16Yeah, I walked into that. Okay. Uh, speaking of AT
- 11:20and T and the outage the other day, I've decided that five bucks is
- 11:28not enough to give me for the inconvenience of the outage. I understand AT
- 11:33and T's position, saying five dollars is the average daily cost of our phone
- 11:37plans, but I want more than that, and short of that, then
- 11:43I just feel like I need to create a Q list and AT and T
- 11:52needs to be on it. And I feel like this you list needs to
- 11:56be not necessarily people, but uh groups, organizations into teas that have done
- 12:03us wrong. And I think maybe it would just be a feel good thing
- 12:07to have. And maybe I'll have my wife do like a poster board of
- 12:11it and hang it up. That'll be fun. She likes being creative and
- 12:13things, sort of like a vision board. But you know, for you
- 12:18and AT and T would need to be on it, because honestly, when
- 12:20they said, oh, we're gonna give you everybody five dollars, Wow,
- 12:26if you think that's a lot and you think that's enough, I tell you
- 12:31what, you should just keep the five bucks. Don't even do me the
- 12:33favor. If you need it that bad, you keep it. But I'm
- 12:37gonna put you on my que list. And the only thing AT and T
- 12:41would have going for it is that it would only be number two on my
- 12:46que list. Number one is, of course Urkott. Yeah, Urkott has
- 12:50never even tried to make good on their cops at least AT and T.
- 12:56Albeit a dumb one. It is an attempt doesn't make any sort of attempts.
- 13:01So you you the most anyone else. I'm missing on the key list
- 13:07Tyheart Radio. I'm I'm okay with them. I don't, I don't.
- 13:20I mean, yeah, the freak doesn't. Look we've moved on from them,
- 13:28they've moved on from ratings. We all win. You can send if
- 13:41everybody just sent them the five dollars, maybe you can pull them out of
- 13:43bankruptcy. If you can hire someone who could turn on a mic. I
- 13:56think I can hear. I think I can hear scribbling off the toll way
- 14:01right now. And someone's making up their own list, and we're on top
- 14:03of it. You're listening to the Treehouse visitors online, That Treehouse on air

- 16:15of storms or something. You're hitting us. So twist or two. But
- 16:18I hope it doesn't let us down. That's my biggest fear. It really
- 16:22is a terrifying situation to put ourselves in, and that is putting our trust
- 16:30in Hollywood to once again not let us down. I'm not sure who I
- 16:33would trust least when it comes to the Disappointment Department Hollywood or the Cowboy Man.
- 16:45That's a that's a pickle right there. I thought you are the politicians,
- 16:49Oh my god. Well okay, well there's a third absolutely yeah,

- 18:11at the Dallas Comedy Club. I saw a photo the other day of it
- 18:18was like turn of the century Dallas bit. More specifically, I think it
- 18:22was a deep Elam Facebook page suggestion and it was like a turn of the
- 18:26century photo black and white of what deep Ellum was back then. And my
- 18:32first thought was, or is that just a black and white photo of the
- 18:36current hipsters? Yeah, I was about to which turn of the century.
- 18:42I think it was eighteenth to nineteenth, but yeah, I mean, it
- 18:47could have been twenty at the twenty. First it was because it seems like
- 18:52deep Ellum is constantly in transition. Yeah, I mean, that's it's wild
- 18:56to think that I would go down to Dallas comedy collb, which is quite
- 19:00often. Uh. I think it's crazy that you can walk toward Doc Holliday
- 19:06had his dentist office. That's a that's a pretty cool thing. And I'm
- 19:11not sure if many people know that history of Dallas. I mean, because
- 19:15a lot of people think there's not a whole lot of history in Dallas other
- 19:17than the fact that all right, there's there's there's a city called Dallas,
- 19:22and then fast forward like one hundred or so years and then boom, JFK
- 19:26got killed here and that's it. But no, there's actually other stuff,
- 19:29like you're right, like before Doc Holliday moved westward with his old pal Wyatt
- 19:34Earb and uh uh and became a huckleberry. Uh he was a dentist and
- 19:41he was a dentist in Dallas. Hmmm, And you got it wrong.
- 19:45You said, huckle Berry that is incorrect. What is it? It's a
- 19:48huckle bearer. A huckle is the is the handle on the side of a
- 19:55confin. So every time he's the why why does say huckleberry everywhere? Because
- 20:02that everybody gets it because nobody knows what a huckle bearer is. Well,
- 20:07I think we also just blamed Val Kilmer for not saying it properly. He
- 20:11said it. He was from Georgia. He said, It's just fine.
- 20:15They don't They don't pronounce like huckleberry. Yeah, it's huckle bearer. It's
- 20:19it's basically like I'll be your Paul bearer. That's what they changed it to,
- 20:22is a Paul bearer. I know it's wild. He's right, Raj
- 20:32is right. Yes, don't say that. Do not give him any positive
- 20:37feedback, Okay, I and I'm gonna I I I went through this fight
- 20:41and I fought it and then I went to look it up and I had
- 20:45to apologize. So I'm just saving you. I'm just saving you the time.
- 20:48Dan Antonio, He's right, I've I've already lost this argument before.
- 20:53No, no, yo, Well the huckleberry what is that? No one
- 21:02knew? That's that was one of the great mysteries from Tombstone. Is no
- 21:04one understood what the hell he meant by saying I'm your Huckleberry. Everyone just
- 21:08assumed as well as he's he's drunk and messed up on opioid's of some sort.
- 21:12So he's just I'm a hookled Barry, and so everyone just kind of
- 21:15went with it. Yeah, So a little bit of a little bit of
- 21:21history for you. There you go. God damn it, now when you
- 21:27watch it, it makes sense every time. I'm pulling it up right now,
- 21:30I got I have to verify this. I'm pulling it up on YouTube.
- 21:33Give me a second. Yeah, huh, okay, right there,
- 21:41and huh all right, here we go. The best scene also factually inaccurate.
- 21:51Well, I'm gonna have to mute because I'll do every line. Yes,
- 21:56be quiet, I didn't think you had a dan. I'm your huckleb.
- 22:04Did you hear it now? No? Yep, No, I didn't
- 22:10you did? I didn't, he says, He says, He says,
- 22:12Huckleberry, No, listen to it. No, I don't want to do
- 22:15it again. I hate this. Let's do it again. Hang on,
- 22:26I didn't think you had a Dani. I'm your huckle It feels like I
- 22:33hear a little bit of both, and I don't. I don't. Had
- 22:37you never told me, I never would have known, and I would have
- 22:38lived happily in the dark, always wondering what the hell of huckleberry was.
- 22:45I just want to want I shouldn't have told you to be like, here's
- 22:48some huckleberry pot you found out where what they are? They're not real?
- 22:56All right? One more time? Hang on letting you had it in you.
- 23:02I'm your Hunkmber. You know you heard it. Well, this is
- 23:07one of those things that once you once you hear it, it's planted into
- 23:11your brain and you can't unhear it. Yeah. It's kind of like when
- 23:15you hear whatever that song is blinded by the light. Yeah, and it
- 23:21sounds like the guy as soon as someone tells you, it sounds like he's
- 23:23saying something like a douche uh And that's all you hear ever again, right
- 23:29right? And I feel like that's it's yeah, that that's what you've done.
- 23:33Trey. Who did you have this fight with? Before? Oh?
- 23:37A bar patron? M Yeah, I was. I was always been a
- 23:45history nerd. I was a history minor in college and so, like the
- 23:48whole Tombstone is a great movie, it's almost all factually inaccurate. It's wonderful,
- 23:56but it's one of my favorite. Every time it's on, It's way
- 23:57back to the Future. Every time it's on, watch it and didn't are
- 24:00you that guy? Are you that you have to suffer through listening to pick
- 24:04apart movies? No, I don't pick. I'm like I watched every time
- 24:08Tomb Stones on. I watch it like it's but you're probably a constant narration
- 24:14of its inaccuracies. Yes, you are. You are for a show you
- 24:18hate, you are the Sheldon Cooper of movies? Is that what he does?
- 24:26Is that what he does in the show he picks the part. He
- 24:30will pick apart the things that he loves, certain things, but then he
- 24:33can also pick them apart. That is you. Yeah, okay, I
- 24:36didn't. Maybe I'll have to start paying attention to my uh my counterpart.
- 24:41Yeah. No, I just this is the history of it, Like I'm
- 24:42just such I'm fascinated by history. And so I started reading about White are
- 24:48and then I was like, oh, well, he wasn't a great guy.
- 24:52He was kind of a dick. Uh. During the Civil War in
- 24:56the South, the handles of a casket work hall huckles. Mm hmm.
- 25:08I told you and Dan, and the crappy thing is is then Actually,
- 25:12when you think about it, it makes it makes the same make much.
- 25:19Yeah, it's him saying I'm about to kill you and I'll carry your casket.
- 25:23It is so on one hand, it's it's a sweet gesture. It's
- 25:30very polite. Yeah, very I'm gonna kill you, but I'll help Carrie.
- 25:33Uh So here's my struggle. Mm hm. I enjoy learning new things.
- 25:41I too. Uh, I enjoy history. I like learning. What
- 25:45I don't like is Raj being right. Uh yeah, I think I think
- 25:53that is an extremely dangerous thing to give him. I mean, I'm not
- 26:02gonna I'm not gonna do anything with the the the fact that you said it.
- 26:06I'm not ever going to use it against you. But I just want
- 26:11to I just want to inform maybe there's some listeners that didn't know that thought
- 26:15it was Huckleberry as well. Everyone thought it was Huckleberry, okay, and
- 26:22we were all happily living in the dark. Well, now you're in Lane
- 26:26and now you'll hear it different every time he says it and go, oh,
- 26:29that's because that's more sinister. Oh it is I'll be I'll be some
- 26:33Here was the problem with that line in the script is you're already taking plenty
- 26:38of license with the story of these men in history as it is. Why
- 26:44couldn't you have made that line more obvious because it's just his say, everyone
- 26:52would have understood it. Don't you think if if Valkima Kilmer got the script
- 26:56and saw Huckleberry, you don't think he would have a word with the like
- 27:00what am I saying here? He's a method actor, like what is this
- 27:03word? I don't understand this? And Paul Bear they didn't have those until
- 27:10I think in the nineteen hundreds, late late nineteen thirty. So all of
- 27:14a sudden, Hollywood's concerned with historical accuracy. Well, I mean some of
- 27:19it was. Some of it was accurate, like the the names of the
- 27:25people were accurate, like who were killed and so on and so forth,
- 27:29and yeah, but how about we do this? Why don't we just because
- 27:33you can now add words to the dictionary each year, it's not the real
- 27:38dictionary. It's just like the online nonsense. I guess the online version of
- 27:42Merriam Webster. It's the it's dictionary dot com. Every year they say Okay,
- 27:47here are the new words that we're adding to the dictionary, but it's
- 27:49not real. The real dictionaries, like the Oxford Dictionary that's in print form,
- 27:52and they don't add in the nonsensical twenty first century words that we've made
- 27:59up. I know we can do it with huckleberry. We can just take
- 28:03huckleberry and just say huckleberry is what is a huckle bearer? It's the same
- 28:10thing you can say, I am your huckleberry. A huckleberry is the guy
- 28:14that carries your casket? Boomer done? So is it? Is it?
- 28:17Like? And then no one's got to get rid of any of their tombstone
- 28:19t shirts? Is it a huckle and then like the like the name berry,
- 28:23like I'll be your Huckleberry's a job that'll be ridiculous. I'll be your
- 28:33huckle berry. There's not a comment in there. Now that scene really would
- 28:45not have worked. It's the guy that uh Malcolmber kills. His character's name
- 28:49is Barry. That just doesn't work. It works because his name is Johnny
- 28:57Ringo be hu Gary. Who does he keep talking to? I think I
- 29:11think the main takeaway we should have inside this segment of the Treehouse right now
- 29:15is that there are two dangerous weapons in the twenty first century that only certain
- 29:22superpower should have control over. One are nuclear warheads, and two is the
- 29:26power to claim Raj is right about anything. I think there should be a
- 29:33resolution because I don't think what I don't think we want him falling into the
- 29:41hands of Russia that way. They already got news, so they really don't
- 29:47eat being right. Well, that was he learned something. That's all it
- 29:52is. Yeah, things two, one, four, three, six,
- 30:11eight, thirty eight, thirty eight for any and all of your plumbing once
- 30:15in needs. As we bring Jacqueline into the treehouse. Now it is her
- 30:18time, let's get going on something mostly random and not entirely plumbing related.
- 30:25But we'll see if we can segue relationship red flags. I'm gonna give you
- 30:27a second to think about it. What is your biggest relationship red flag?
- 30:32My dogs? If you're mean to my dogs, if you ask me to
- 30:33get rid of my dogs, if you don't want to meet my horse,
- 30:36you're gone gone. I had, I had, I was engaged, and
- 30:41he asked me to get rid of a dog. Guess who never married that
- 30:42person? Me? Yeah, that's that makes perfect sense. I was giving
- 30:48you the opportunity to think about it, but you clearly already had the answer.
- 30:52Give Jacqueline a call for any and all of your plumbing once and needs.
- 30:56And if perhaps there are any red flags in the in the plumbing world,
- 30:59she will be will to tell you about those as well. To give
- 31:00them a call two one four three six eight thirty eight thirty eight. Or
- 31:03the website Brooks Plumbing Texas dot com. You're in the treehouse. Listen us
- 31:15online a treehouse on air dot com. This segment of the Treehouse is brought
- 31:21to you by Brooks Plumbing. For any and all of your plumbing wants and
- 31:25needs, give Brooks Plumbing your call, talk to Jackline or anyone else that's
- 31:29wonderful in the Brooks Plumbing family. Uh. The phone number two one four
- 31:33three six eight thirty eight thirty eight. That's two one four three six eight
- 31:36thirty eight thirty eight. The website Brooks Plumbing Texas dot com. Uh.
- 31:41Since we're being informative in the treehouse today, like ruining what we thought Val
- 31:47Kilmer said and Tombstone, even though it's apparently correct, I'm not saying you're
- 31:52right, it's just correct. I guess uh correct, yeah. Uh.
- 31:57Daniel Cook from uh Cook tow Roofing and Restoration is also a card carrying member
- 32:07of the Advancement of Association or the Associated Association for the Advancement of Retired People.
- 32:13As we learned a few weeks ago here in the Trio formerly, what
- 32:17what is it supposed to be? Because you're referring to AARP as the Association
- 32:22for the Advancement of Retired People, That's all I can remember. I can't
- 32:28even remember what it's supposed to stand for now other than the Association and Retired
- 32:32People American Association of Retired People? Is it America? Okay, let's just
- 32:37go with that. So, Trey, you recently got your AARP card,
- 32:40Raj. You told us soon after that you've been a secret member for months.
- 32:49Never kept a secret. You didn't tell us for months secretly. I
- 32:52didn't know that was like they say, there's no age restruction. Again,
- 32:57I did not know this, And I usually like to think that I'm on
- 32:59the cusp of knowing things. Today I clearly am not. And for the
- 33:05AARP thing, I didn't know that you could join AARP before the age of
- 33:09fifty. Everything I had known about it was you get the first notice or
- 33:15invitation or something in the mail or whatever when you're like forty nine and a
- 33:19half, and then at fifty you could become AARP official. And I'm kind
- 33:23of surprised they haven't raised the age, but I guess because everyone's living longer.
- 33:28But I guess they did the opposite and said anyone can join AARP,
- 33:34which they did a really poor job of marketing that, because I had no
- 33:37idea until you know, you guys told me Now with the AARP thing,
- 33:42Daniel Cook is a member. Do you guys get the emails from AARP?
- 33:46Yes, because he sent me one the other day and he wanted me to
- 33:51make sure you guys were aware of your member benefits update. Okay, For
- 33:58example, as a member of AARP, you can enter for a chance to
- 34:01win a backstage meet and greet for two in Las Vegas for the Rolling Stones,
- 34:07and you get fifteen percent off your check every day at Denny's. Hell
- 34:13yeah, I sadly already knew that one. He wanted me to make sure
- 34:19you guys were aware of those benefits in case you weren't getting the emails now.
- 34:23It also did give me the idea what I want you guys to do,
- 34:27since you are oldest pissed, I would like you to take your AARP
- 34:34card carrying member status out for a spin, inter the rock out with the
- 34:39Rolling Stone sweepstakes, and then if you win, we then double dip and
- 34:45make it a treehouse contest. So if you guys win those tickets, then
- 34:50we hold our own contest to get those tickets to a treehouse listener. Hey,
- 34:54can you do that? Is it transferable? Do you know that want
- 35:00to go? I'm not a Stones fan, which is why you should just
- 35:04look. If you can't go, you just hand him to somebody else.
- 35:07Okay, I'll enter. Yeah, but yeah, I'm not a big Stones
- 35:10guy. Don't have to be. Plenty of our listeners would love that experience.
- 35:15Yeah, that'd be cool. That's a very easy way to give do
- 35:16a ticket giveaway that there's one in one in eleven million chancey it doesn't cost
- 35:22us time. Yeah, yeah, but the Dennys thing, I didn't know.
- 35:30I knew about that. And then there are roadside assistance, and there's
- 35:34yeah, there's you know, there's roadside assistance, like I said, And
- 35:37there's uh discount ticket sales, and there's a you know, advanced ticket sales
- 35:42or pre sales, whatever you can, whatever you want to call it.
- 35:44So since it's prescription discounts too, that is true. So it is an
- 35:51organization geared towards retired people folk. Yeah, but well now it's ARF.
- 36:01I would have loved we should start ARF Association for the Advancement of Retired Folk.
- 36:10Yeah, for the country people. Make it a bureau. You can
- 36:19call it BARF anyways. Uh, I just forgot what I was gonna say.
- 36:24So ARF and BAR retired person's old people. Oh yeah, Uh,
- 36:29since it's geared towards retired people, this contest is for you know, Rolling
- 36:35Stones tickets. Are they not ever offering you know, tickets for younger acts
- 36:39like a Bieber or a Taylor Swift concert because they you can join at any
- 36:45age. Apparently. Yeah, I don't know. If I don't know if
- 36:49ARP has the reach to get Swift tickets and Bieber Uh no longer performs because
- 36:54he only performs for the lowered. I didn't realize he was on Jesus Hiatus.
- 37:01He is on Jesus Hiatis very much so. As a matter of fact,
- 37:05Stephen Baldwin, or as they call him, Alec Baldwin's brother sent out
- 37:12a message saying pray for their marriage, so I thought, uh, you
- 37:20should have framed it better though, you know, like, yeah, Jesus
- 37:22has me on a non compete. Jesus was jealous of Bieber's YouTube views.
- 37:37The downside of being Jesus is no one was recording when you know he turned
- 37:39the water into wine, and the bread and the fish. I mean apparently
- 37:45they wrote it down, So I guess that was the version of the Bible
- 37:47is the original YouTube? If you think that's pretty brilliant. If you think
- 37:53about it, you're gonna have a lot of Bible kids like the original YouTube.
- 37:57That's gonna be a shirt that they wear. You need to you need
- 38:00to copyright that right now because I'm telling you you're gonna be walking around Saint
- 38:05John that your Dando form and you want to see just a bunch of Bible.
- 38:10Think the Egyptians are gonna be going what I feel like the egypt we're
- 38:20literally drawing on walls. We feel like this is more the actual start of
- 38:24YouTube, Like the Bible would actually be more like the birth, but like,
- 38:30yeah, the Egyptians would probably be saying, no, I think the
- 38:34Bible is is more of like the beginning of podcasting. Thanks the Egyptians to
- 38:39be going, Hey, we invented fucking emojis, horse said, sunshine.
- 38:50One eye means you're this is interesting. So we're finding throughout history the origins
- 39:00of all these platforms. I wonder what, So, who do we have
- 39:06to blame for yelp, Buddhists, don't. I don't think it's Buddhists.
- 39:15I feel like they're they're they're the easy going bunch. I don't think they're
- 39:19the ones that are, you know, bitching about you know, cheese sticks
- 39:22that were too small haven't been the standard? Poor? Then they have not
- 39:28the big big cheese sticks at the standard poor. Uh. Speaking of complaining
- 39:32about things, a forty two year old man, this, by the way,
- 39:37is one of the one of them. This may be one of my
- 39:39favorite stories of the year so far. All right, are you ready?
- 39:42Here we go? Speaking of complaining, A forty two year old man was
- 39:46arrested twice in the same day. Okay, once for being drunken disorderly at
- 39:52a restaurant. Then he went back to jail to complain about the arrest earlier
- 40:00in the day. Yeah, strong, like I move the Yeah, you
- 40:08don't even hesitate with that, do you. No? I mean, you
- 40:13know, like, what does he look like in your head? Oh no,
- 40:15oh yeah, he's white with a mullets. Well what's the point of
- 40:22having the white privilege if you can't take it out once in a while.
- 40:24Oh well, driving it around the block, keep going, take it on
- 40:30a cruise. I just find it amazing that this guy has the audacity to
- 40:37go to the police station to complain about the arrest in the first place,
- 40:42and then he gets arrested again because he was drunk when he went there to
- 40:45do it. And I'm sure Trey has seen this before I went. I
- 40:51had my nightclubs and deep home. I saw like, you know, people
- 40:53getting publican talks and it's you know, young girls getting a publican talx and
- 40:59the cops like, I'm gonna let it go. I'm gonna let you get
- 41:00like, put in my handcuffs, I don't do it again, call a
- 41:02friend whatever, and then take the cuffs off, and then they start yelling
- 41:06at the cops you know what, like just take the just take the w
- 41:12dumbs. And then they'd be like, all right, I told you once,
- 41:15and then they just start crying and then that's it. That's a wrap.
- 41:17So this guy doesn't strike this story doesn't strike me as straight. I'm
- 41:22just like, Oh, he's just a grown up that did it. He's
- 41:25a forty two year old grown man that decided to do this. Yeah,
- 41:28yeah, that's uh, it's balls. I love that. Well, that's
- 41:30amazing. I mean, you're forty two years old, you get arrested earlier
- 41:34in the day, you don't like how it went down, so you go
- 41:36back to jail to complain about the arrest from earlier in the day. Is
- 41:39it because he couldn't find a Yelp for prison to write a review or there's
- 41:45no Airbnb reviews for jail manager? Yeah, like, are you leaving a
- 41:53review on Airbnb at the jail saying don't it's spotty Wi Fi, there's no
- 42:00emergency exits, and the mattress is too soft, and my cellmate is too
- 42:05hard. I mean really, people will really find anything to complain about,
- 42:31and they throw him in They throw him in jail for the second time.
- 42:36The cellmate stands up and says, I'll be your huncle Berry. All right,
- 42:44thanks for hanging out with us in the treehouse today. We appreciate it.
- 42:46We will see you back in here on Friday. AH see you later.
