- 1:02Speaker 6: Did you practice that in the mirror?
- 1:05Speaker 2: Actually, I feel like you know, if you pract that's
- 1:09Speaker 2: when it starts to really yeah, you think d be like,
- 1:13Speaker 2: what what are you doing now?
- 1:14Speaker 6: She knows I'm weird.
- 1:16Speaker 2: I mean, we we how to start the show every day,
- 1:19Speaker 2: and it's kind of happened, just kind of started.
- 1:23Speaker 5: Like literally nobody discussed a coyote pack.
- 1:27Speaker 4: Yes, yeah, that's what.
- 1:30Speaker 6: I thinking.
- 1:31Speaker 2: More wolf, but you're you're probably right. It's for probably
- 1:33Speaker 2: more of a coyote sound. We call ourselves three different
- 1:36Speaker 2: types of wild.
- 1:37Speaker 6: Dogs before because we are wild dogs hyenas. We didn't
- 1:42Speaker 6: said we don't yet. I know we're waiting at that
- 1:45Speaker 6: in the old special.
- 1:46Speaker 7: Moment back pocket, sometimes I'd be laughing, like we'll be
- 1:50Speaker 7: chasing off some lines.
- 1:51Speaker 6: We'll do it how you doing, buddy, We're doing it
- 1:55Speaker 6: that the trenches. We've made it out of.
- 1:59Speaker 7: The trenches. You know, not sick anymore. Okay, body's still
- 2:03Speaker 7: recovering from a strength standpoint.
- 2:05Speaker 5: Okay, so you know, just like a twenty four hour bug.
- 2:09Speaker 6: A little twenty four hour bug.
- 2:10Speaker 5: It's like kind of it was like those are the
- 2:12Speaker 5: strongest ones.
- 2:13Speaker 6: It's kind of wild, how it was.
- 2:15Speaker 7: It hit me about three in the afternoon on Wednesday,
- 2:20Speaker 7: and about three in the afternoon yesterday is when I
- 2:22Speaker 7: was like, oh, I don't feel sick anymore, like I'm
- 2:24Speaker 7: weak still, just because I was like, fuken and haven't eaten.
- 2:28Speaker 6: In a while.
- 2:30Speaker 5: Go flow huh go flow iv SPA.
- 2:32Speaker 4: Obviously, I'm glad you're here. We did not hear from
- 2:36Speaker 4: you till like six literally when you said right walked
- 2:39Speaker 4: in the building.
- 2:40Speaker 5: He said no, same, yeah, right, you said you hadn't
- 2:45Speaker 5: said anything.
- 2:47Speaker 2: Look when you get messages like I'm gonna beat it
- 2:50Speaker 2: faster than most people who've ever walked this planet, but
- 2:54Speaker 2: just giving you a heads up and then you don't
- 2:56Speaker 2: show up. Yep, did we don't hear anything. We're going
- 3:00Speaker 2: to assume it's going to be a tripod show.
- 3:02Speaker 4: We get the text at six fifty nine yesterday morning.
- 3:04Speaker 6: Sorry guys, sorry guys.
- 3:07Speaker 4: And then that's right, that's the last thing we got it.
- 3:10Speaker 7: I texted at six too, because I did wake up
- 3:12Speaker 7: the normal time to see if I can see if
- 3:14Speaker 7: I can do it, see if I had beaten it already.
- 3:18Speaker 6: But you know, most people would be down. That's probably
- 3:19Speaker 6: a I don't know, it's a forty eight hour bug
- 3:23Speaker 6: that you beat in twenty four.
- 3:25Speaker 7: Maybe a ninety six hour bug. I beat it at
- 3:27Speaker 7: twenty four, most people still be down.
- 3:29Speaker 4: You had the blanket tucked up to the chin.
- 3:31Speaker 6: My god, I.
- 3:32Speaker 7: Felt like I actually felt like TOLDO I was doing
- 3:37Speaker 7: this radio show from this seat for twenty four straight hours.
- 3:41Speaker 6: Hot cold, hot, cold, sweating hot person.
- 3:45Speaker 7: I didn't know what you mean the worst, because I
- 3:48Speaker 7: often we I often described sitting in this chair over
- 3:50Speaker 7: here as having a fever, So you know, I figured
- 3:54Speaker 7: i'd flip it this time since I actually had one.
- 3:57Speaker 7: But we did it, we beat it, and I deemed
- 3:59Speaker 7: myself well yesterday I told you because my brother's a doctor. Yeah,
- 4:04Speaker 7: so I know these things. So here I am just
- 4:08Speaker 7: you or the whole family. Well, my little one had
- 4:11Speaker 7: it but it was like last week, so it'd be
- 4:13Speaker 7: a weird time frame that, like you laid dormant for
- 4:19Speaker 7: a week, so the whole family sounds like you wanted
- 4:22Speaker 7: to do. But then but then how I got it
- 4:24Speaker 7: yesterday too, came home from school at like nine, and
- 4:28Speaker 7: so he.
- 4:29Speaker 6: Laid up with me.
- 4:31Speaker 2: Or because he's really smart, he like has at home sick.
- 4:38Speaker 2: Oh yeah, this is a great opportunity.
- 4:40Speaker 4: He could just blame you forgetting it too.
- 4:42Speaker 6: So yeah, it's very easy. Great job, buck.
- 4:45Speaker 7: SOMEA viruses aren't an easy one to fake, though. That's
- 4:49Speaker 7: not easy to fake the symptoms of that. You know,
- 4:51Speaker 7: you got to be real committed if you want to
- 4:53Speaker 7: fake that. Man, I mean, I don't know. There's a
- 4:55Speaker 7: lot of days I wanted to miss school back.
- 4:56Speaker 6: In the day.
- 4:56Speaker 4: There's Muler had a simple stomach bug and he convinced
- 4:59Speaker 4: the entire city Chicago.
- 5:01Speaker 6: So that's true.
- 5:03Speaker 4: Easier than you think.
- 5:06Speaker 6: But did anybody see him actually get puky?
- 5:09Speaker 1: No?
- 5:09Speaker 4: Wait, know he wasn't sick.
- 5:11Speaker 6: Well, I know that that's where the it's where the
- 5:13Speaker 6: parents kind of went wrong.
- 5:15Speaker 5: Let me see you vomit right now, let me see
- 5:18Speaker 5: you you got to go get like.
- 5:20Speaker 2: The old Campbell's chunky suit. Yeah, put it in your
- 5:23Speaker 2: side of your cheek or something and then just make
- 5:26Speaker 2: the noise. Yeah, I told you there's ways if you're
- 5:32Speaker 2: that committed, by God, you can miss school.
- 5:34Speaker 5: Oh God, we're glad to have you back.
- 5:38Speaker 6: Thanks guys, Thank y'all. Glad to be back.
- 5:41Speaker 5: The show was tough to get through without you.
- 5:43Speaker 6: I'm sure it was terrible.
- 5:44Speaker 5: Yeah, we like had nothing to talk about for real.
- 5:49Speaker 4: Actually put national all hour with three map.
- 5:52Speaker 6: Jay and Beth both when they found out you weren't
- 5:53Speaker 6: here almost hung up. Yeah, well, yeah, obviously not here.
- 5:58Speaker 6: Those are my guy only.
- 6:02Speaker 7: Coach Kim Molke calls me. I don't know if we've
- 6:08Speaker 7: ever like put the other ones to the test, if
- 6:09Speaker 7: they know my name or not.
- 6:11Speaker 6: No, but mm hmm yeah they both would we uh.
- 6:16Speaker 4: We told Laundra told Jay. She goes, hey, Matt's not here,
- 6:18Speaker 4: by the way, and Jago's there's two people.
- 6:24Speaker 6: That's good, here's too.
- 6:25Speaker 5: I told that too. I was like, it's just Jake today,
- 6:28Speaker 5: and she was like, thank god.
- 6:29Speaker 6: Oh yeah, obviously the other dude's.
- 6:32Speaker 5: Questions are way too confusing.
- 6:34Speaker 7: You know what I'm gonna give Coach Kima a pass
- 6:36Speaker 7: on that one. She was probably real nervous because it
- 6:38Speaker 7: was a big it was a big press conference. She
- 6:40Speaker 7: was probably nervous.
- 6:41Speaker 6: Yeah, she never been in those moments. She has or
- 6:43Speaker 6: so we got to give her a pass on that.
- 6:46Speaker 5: Sure.
- 6:47Speaker 6: Sure she would have forgotten her own child's name at
- 6:49Speaker 6: that moment. Do you remember mine? Right?
- 6:52Speaker 5: She got Jake's, but she would forget her child's for sure.
- 6:57Speaker 6: She shot in the dark. She got one right, good
- 7:02Speaker 6: spin zone there. Anyway, we're back.
- 7:08Speaker 7: All right, I'm gonna so what what what I'm gonna
- 7:10Speaker 7: do today is I doubled the coffee in this cup
- 7:14Speaker 7: because it's gonna be a lot of manufactured energy, a
- 7:17Speaker 7: lot of pds going down.
- 7:18Speaker 6: Okay, So I just want you to know that those
- 7:21Speaker 6: days you're p D eat up. Well, yes, but that
- 7:26Speaker 6: times too, gotcha, you know what I meant.
- 7:28Speaker 7: Because it's it's a lot of artificial energy today, but
- 7:31Speaker 7: we're gonna bring it energy's energy.
- 7:33Speaker 6: I've I don't sit down during the show anymore, and
- 7:38Speaker 6: that helps. Yeah, that's true. I only sit down there
- 7:41Speaker 6: and breaks. That's true. I don't know. Those stairs are
- 7:44Speaker 6: tough today, Yeah, the stairs are tricky though. We'll be
- 7:49Speaker 6: all right, though, the stairs will get you, get you.
- 7:51Speaker 4: There will be one day where I'll walk off fine,
- 7:54Speaker 4: ready to go. The next day I'm out of brown. Like,
- 7:56Speaker 4: how am I significantly less in shape today than I
- 7:58Speaker 4: was yesterday?
- 7:59Speaker 6: It is different.
- 8:00Speaker 2: I am glad though, that the entire Foxhall takes the stairs.
- 8:05Speaker 2: It's a four story.
- 8:06Speaker 5: Building carrying stuff.
- 8:08Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 8:08Speaker 4: Called on our boy Jordan the other day I did too. Yeah,
- 8:11Speaker 4: well he was coming, you're under thirty show straight to hunt. Yeah,
- 8:15Speaker 4: and I said, that's George, why you get off the
- 8:17Speaker 4: elevator and his response the elevator is quicker. I was like, no,
- 8:21Speaker 4: it's not been going one flight.
- 8:24Speaker 6: I'm not going to tell who it was. But so
- 8:26Speaker 6: we have our Wednesday meetings.
- 8:28Speaker 2: Yeah, one floor up, right, there's two people that are
- 8:31Speaker 2: in that meeting that took from level three here to four,
- 8:38Speaker 2: took the elevator and this one story up.
- 8:40Speaker 7: This building's a lot different because the staircase is like
- 8:43Speaker 7: the focal point of the building. It's like it's glass
- 8:46Speaker 7: in case on either side. Yeah, there's no, it's.
- 8:49Speaker 6: Not like some and you don't walk all the way down.
- 8:52Speaker 6: It's in the middle.
- 8:53Speaker 7: Yeah, it's not like a holiday and express we have
- 8:55Speaker 7: to walk to the very end and go down some
- 8:57Speaker 7: like grungey, unsafe like looking staircase.
- 9:01Speaker 6: This is like right in the middle of open air.
- 9:03Speaker 6: It's it's a communal point. Yeah, it is.
- 9:06Speaker 5: People stop and talk on You have to walk.
- 9:08Speaker 7: Past that to get to this dingy old elevator that
- 9:13Speaker 7: will probably get stuck.
- 9:15Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 9:15Speaker 4: The sign painted outside of level one of the elevator says,
- 9:20Speaker 4: this elevator is very old dot dot dot but safe.
- 9:24Speaker 8: But by the way, the day after they painted that
- 9:28Speaker 8: on the wall, the elevator broke.
- 9:32Speaker 4: I think the one on the other side of the building.
- 9:33Speaker 4: So at least they that's by.
- 9:36Speaker 8: The way, Like, I'm not making that up. Somebody got
- 9:39Speaker 8: stuck in the elevator. I think it was Brittany.
- 9:41Speaker 6: The day after that it was Brittany safe though. She was, yeah,
- 9:46Speaker 6: you're you're right, I'm Brittany still with us.
- 9:51Speaker 5: She is still with us, thank god.
- 9:53Speaker 6: Thank god, hei yoa.
- 9:58Speaker 5: The other day she was like, if I smell like
- 10:00Speaker 5: beef jerky, I'm.
- 10:01Speaker 4: Sorry, what okay goes? Because I saw her in the
- 10:06Speaker 4: stairwell like beef jerky. I'm sorry I saw her in
- 10:09Speaker 4: the stairwell. I said, hey, Brittany, what's going on? I
- 10:11Speaker 4: keep walking. She turns around. Sorry, if I smell like
- 10:14Speaker 4: beef jerky, I was like, I didn't smell beef jerky.
- 10:17Speaker 4: Now what I'm going to look for it.
- 10:19Speaker 5: Right, Or she'll be like if I smell like onions,
- 10:22Speaker 5: I'm sorry. I just had like some onion rings.
- 10:25Speaker 4: And I'm like, she's I think she's done pickles before too.
- 10:27Speaker 6: I'm like, what do you?
- 10:28Speaker 8: What do you?
- 10:30Speaker 5: She's something else, like.
- 10:31Speaker 4: You're calling yourself out here, and.
- 10:33Speaker 2: She's getting ahead of it. It's actually smart y, Yeah, smart,
- 10:36Speaker 2: he'll you know, be rabbit in eight mile. I get
- 10:40Speaker 2: ahead of it. I can't really say anything.
- 10:41Speaker 4: If I tell you be prepared to smell like pickles,
- 10:44Speaker 4: you can't complain that.
- 10:45Speaker 2: I like you smell like pickles, right, it's actually smart
- 10:49Speaker 2: playing chess nott checkers.
- 10:52Speaker 6: Yeah, we'll be rabbit. Oh you don't seen that. I
- 10:56Speaker 6: done my homework.
- 10:58Speaker 4: It's insane because I was like, we heard that come
- 11:01Speaker 4: out three couple. That's right, like when that came out
- 11:06Speaker 4: you were freshman in college. It's like peak time to
- 11:08Speaker 4: watch that movie.
- 11:09Speaker 6: It might have been two. I'm thinking of three though.
- 11:13Speaker 4: Either way, you're a senior in high school freshman in college.
- 11:15Speaker 4: That's the peak the one.
- 11:16Speaker 7: Too, you were a senior, Tyler, Yeah, I should have
- 11:20Speaker 7: seen it. I should have seen it in the theater.
- 11:23Speaker 6: Have a movie theater and Tyler. Yeah, but we had
- 11:25Speaker 6: a couple.
- 11:27Speaker 5: Bro's no way.
- 11:28Speaker 6: Population population seventy five thous Tiniltown. Actually we used to
- 11:34Speaker 6: have a small city.
- 11:37Speaker 5: We used to have a dollar movie.
- 11:38Speaker 6: Did y'all have that like days? Yeah?
- 11:41Speaker 5: Yeah, well no.
- 11:42Speaker 8: It was like a movie theater and they were like
- 11:44Speaker 8: we used to call it the dollar theater, and the
- 11:46Speaker 8: movies would come out like a little late.
- 11:48Speaker 5: Oh yeah, yeah, and they we would go with like
- 11:52Speaker 5: a bunch of coins.
- 11:53Speaker 6: And we would just be like give us almost like
- 11:57Speaker 6: two weeks before they came out on DVD lay.
- 12:00Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 12:00Speaker 8: Yeah, they'd be super late, but we'd wait on them
- 12:02Speaker 8: and we'd go to the dollar theater every day of
- 12:04Speaker 8: the week.
- 12:05Speaker 5: Yeah, every day. It was all the time. It was
- 12:08Speaker 5: a dollar theater.
- 12:09Speaker 4: I go to the movies all the time. That would
- 12:11Speaker 4: have really helped me.
- 12:12Speaker 5: It's gone now. They turned it into a Tyler's. You
- 12:16Speaker 5: know the stores in Texas, like the Tyler's in Austin
- 12:19Speaker 5: and the like, you know, like the Keep Austin weird
- 12:21Speaker 5: t shirts that people wear. So it's like a store Tyler's.
- 12:24Speaker 5: They turned it into that.
- 12:25Speaker 6: So that store.
- 12:26Speaker 7: Okay, my history might be off here, but we had
- 12:28Speaker 7: the store grown up in Tyler, Yeah, called Racket and Jog.
- 12:32Speaker 5: So is it the same thing?
- 12:33Speaker 7: So it was the exact same thing. Yeah, And it
- 12:35Speaker 7: was a great store. That's where we went and got
- 12:37Speaker 7: our like.
- 12:38Speaker 6: Massamo shirts and our gazelles and sambas and are no.
- 12:42Speaker 5: Fear They still have SMAs like so yeah, yeah.
- 12:45Speaker 6: And that's where we would go for everything. Awesome store.
- 12:48Speaker 5: Yeah, I love just like that.
- 12:49Speaker 6: It's kind of it was a lot like it's like
- 12:52Speaker 6: a backpacker here in town. They had like all the
- 12:56Speaker 6: like kind of like that.
- 12:57Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 12:57Speaker 7: And all of a sudden, when we were in like
- 12:59Speaker 7: middle O High school, there was a Tyler store in
- 13:02Speaker 7: Austin that was the exact same thing, and I was like,
- 13:05Speaker 7: I think it all started.
- 13:07Speaker 6: It might be the same thing.
- 13:09Speaker 5: Yeah, I love that store. It's great. I was wearing
- 13:12Speaker 5: a Tyler shirt yesterday.
- 13:14Speaker 6: Tyler not just say well get ready you get the backpacker. Yeah,
- 13:25Speaker 6: you can high lead combination there. That's a great store.
- 13:30Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 13:30Speaker 5: I love that store. I get my own clouds from
- 13:32Speaker 5: there or ons or whatever you like.
- 13:36Speaker 7: If you're looking for the old man chew or if
- 13:38Speaker 7: you got to you get like a last minute like gift,
- 13:44Speaker 7: you know, just like something that's just so fun. But
- 13:47Speaker 7: someone smiles, someone's faced.
- 13:49Speaker 5: Spot shout out the backpacker. I don't know I was.
- 13:53Speaker 4: We're wearing old man shoes, already carrying my high Yeah,
- 13:58Speaker 4: I'm just skim is great, It's like I want him
- 14:01Speaker 4: to continue.
- 14:02Speaker 5: Yeah, great local store. The people that work there are
- 14:06Speaker 5: super nice to ye.
- 14:11Speaker 6: For your offices right real close. Do you ever want
- 14:15Speaker 6: to have some beef with this guy?
- 14:17Speaker 4: Matt work Max giving away the exact locations your office
- 14:24Speaker 4: is part of.
- 14:28Speaker 6: We're in the middle of downtown Baton Rouge. Every morning
- 14:31Speaker 6: they want to find you, Bud.
- 14:33Speaker 4: They found Jake scarr One Tom and pooped on it.
- 14:36Speaker 6: Yep, I don't know not to overestimate common sense, that's true.
- 14:43Speaker 4: Jake got mad about that too. I thought that was normal.
- 14:45Speaker 4: People pooped on my truck twice a week. It just
- 14:48Speaker 4: like fan mail. Obviously that was so wild. These guys.
- 14:56Speaker 6: See the video of somebody doing that. How low were
- 15:01Speaker 6: they squatted? It was?
- 15:03Speaker 2: Actually it was actually pretty was it a lean because
- 15:08Speaker 2: it was like it was impressive. The balance was pretty
- 15:11Speaker 2: good considering.
- 15:14Speaker 6: Light on the heels.
- 15:17Speaker 2: I think I feel like it was a lot of toes. Yeah,
- 15:19Speaker 2: a lot of toes. Pretty good balance, pretty good athlete.
- 15:23Speaker 6: And then find out that it's like a functioning human,
- 15:25Speaker 6: it's part of society.
- 15:26Speaker 5: I thought it was a crackhead.
- 15:28Speaker 4: I was like, it's gonna be somebody. We're gonna find
- 15:30Speaker 4: a needle.
- 15:30Speaker 2: Out, somebody that is a normal person, somebody that said
- 15:34Speaker 2: it's fight or flight right now.
- 15:37Speaker 6: Never.
- 15:37Speaker 7: Uh.
- 15:38Speaker 4: Their excuse was that they were in traffic on Government
- 15:41Speaker 4: There is a McDonald's and Sonic right across.
- 15:44Speaker 6: The also Jake's car. There's a Jake's car. Yeah, he
- 15:47Speaker 6: didn't want to take he didn't want to have to
- 15:49Speaker 6: turn left right turns are easier.
- 15:51Speaker 4: No, he jumped out in traffic. And who he was?
- 15:54Speaker 4: He was the passenger. This was a drive by dump man?
- 15:56Speaker 4: Was he hopped out of the passenger see crapped on
- 16:00Speaker 4: Jake's car, hopped back in drive a drive away? Real story.
- 16:06Speaker 6: You weren't here yet.
- 16:07Speaker 7: No, I remember figuring about like it was right before
- 16:12Speaker 7: before all right, how did you how did you find it?
- 16:16Speaker 4: I probably wasn't hard.
- 16:18Speaker 6: I mean, wait the video or like always, I looked
- 16:20Speaker 6: down and it was in the front.
- 16:23Speaker 5: It was by my car, so like I saw.
- 16:26Speaker 2: It choice and he said, I'm gonna be respectful to
- 16:28Speaker 2: a Landra. I'm gonna go over here smart. Yeah, that's nice.
- 16:33Speaker 2: All right, we'll take a break. I don't really know
- 16:37Speaker 2: where it's going to go today. I gotta be honest
- 16:38Speaker 2: with it's pretty sporty sports show.
- 16:43Speaker 6: I got no idea.
- 16:44Speaker 5: Well, we're bringing Dear Delandra back one day only we are.
- 16:48Speaker 8: We got a good question and we did on I
- 16:51Speaker 8: g well, I'm gonna ask the question, but I'm gonna

- 22:13Speaker 6: You can take your own advice. Yeah, I mean I
- 22:16Speaker 6: do a lot. I mean, you know some things, you
- 22:21Speaker 6: know some things just some things just happened.
- 22:24Speaker 7: I don't ever get sick either, Like I'll get like
- 22:26Speaker 7: the sniffles and maybe like a little you know, a
- 22:28Speaker 7: little scratchy throat here and there, but like sick like
- 22:31Speaker 7: that to the point where you realize how just like
- 22:34Speaker 7: vulnerable the human body is. And you're like, oh, well,
- 22:37Speaker 7: there's just nothing I can do right now. I can't
- 22:38Speaker 7: even lift my head up. I can't even move my
- 22:41Speaker 7: shift my body three inches without feeling nauseated and wanted
- 22:45Speaker 7: to throw up. That's just a bad feeling. You just
- 22:47Speaker 7: realize it's a little humbling, especially like when you haven't
- 22:51Speaker 7: been like that, and I mean I don't know when.
- 22:53Speaker 6: Like years. Yeah, like a fever. They gets you.
- 22:56Speaker 7: No, all good humbling. You're a hard time twenty four
- 23:00Speaker 7: kidding me, beat it, superhuman time lesser man would have
- 23:05Speaker 7: been out for a week that.
- 23:08Speaker 2: On that note, LSU practice yesterday. There's a full LSU
- 23:12Speaker 2: practice report. Of course, we're talking to LSU football on
- 23:15Speaker 2: Louisiana Sports dot Net.
- 23:17Speaker 6: Hunt and Matt were there, not Flynn Moscone.
- 23:21Speaker 2: The biggest takeaway for me of the practice was wit
- 23:25Speaker 2: weeks return to practice in a limited capacity.
- 23:28Speaker 6: He ran with the ones in the first eleven on
- 23:31Speaker 6: eleven session. It's good news. Those are good things.
- 23:36Speaker 2: Wit Weeks obviously a year ago, dealt with injuries and
- 23:41Speaker 2: at different times tried to play. Still don't know how
- 23:44Speaker 2: he played the South Carolina game with what he had,
- 23:46Speaker 2: but he did, and he continued to try and was
- 23:50Speaker 2: at the Oklahoma game at the very end. I know
- 23:53Speaker 2: he tried to give it a go. There's a couple
- 23:54Speaker 2: of games there at the very end, and he was
- 23:57Speaker 2: he had an injury that was was gonna be tough.
- 23:59Speaker 6: He tried to fight through it.
- 24:03Speaker 2: How do we want to put this, He got hydrated
- 24:04Speaker 2: sometimes to be able to go out there and play,
- 24:08Speaker 2: and so I always give him a lot of credit
- 24:10Speaker 2: for it. But he needed some rest man that you know,
- 24:13Speaker 2: it's been a long time with that injury, so he
- 24:15Speaker 2: needed some time off.
- 24:16Speaker 6: He got that time off. He comes back.
- 24:18Speaker 2: You didn't probably think he would be back, but because
- 24:20Speaker 2: of the injury, he does come back for another season
- 24:23Speaker 2: and he is critical, and I mean absolutely critical to
- 24:27Speaker 2: your team's success. He's your unquestioned leader. He's the guy
- 24:31Speaker 2: that brings the juice. He's the guy that's going to
- 24:33Speaker 2: play a long time on Sundays. He is somebody that
- 24:36Speaker 2: has the rare ability to be a non quarterback and
- 24:42Speaker 2: have the entire year of the team.
- 24:46Speaker 6: It's very rare.
- 24:47Speaker 2: Typically on and the coaching staff. That's a good point.
- 24:51Speaker 2: Only quarterbacks typically have that. Sometimes you'll find a superstar
- 24:57Speaker 2: it is. But sometimes you'll find like a super our
- 25:00Speaker 2: player and he'll have it. Uh, maybe it's a Hall
- 25:03Speaker 2: of Fame running back or a linebacker. Sometimes that happens,
- 25:06Speaker 2: but it doesn't happen often. That's the case with wit Weeks.
- 25:09Speaker 2: If wit Weeks talks, the offense listens like in a
- 25:11Speaker 2: good way as a leader, like guys, let's pick it up.
- 25:14Speaker 2: Certainly the defense listens. Blake Baker's going to ask him, Hey,
- 25:18Speaker 2: what'd you think about practice today? Hey, what do you
- 25:20Speaker 2: think about this? What do you think about that? Lane
- 25:23Speaker 2: Kiffn's gonna ask him Like he's going to be that guy.
- 25:26Speaker 2: So he is critical to the success of this football
- 25:30Speaker 2: team on and off the field in every aspect of it.
- 25:33Speaker 2: What he brings to the table on the field, but
- 25:35Speaker 2: also how he kind of keeps everything together right.
- 25:39Speaker 6: Teams have those players. It's not to say that Sam
- 25:41Speaker 6: Levitt's is not going to be a leader.
- 25:43Speaker 1: He is.
- 25:43Speaker 6: He's a quarterback. You have to be.
- 25:46Speaker 2: That has to happen or you'll get exposed. But again,
- 25:49Speaker 2: it is rare to have a player that has everybody's
- 25:52Speaker 2: attention when he talks, everybody listens. But they have that
- 25:55Speaker 2: in wit weeks and you can do it even when
- 25:59Speaker 2: you're not playing to some extent, and we saw him
- 26:02Speaker 2: last year. He was the biggest cheerleader there was. He'd
- 26:05Speaker 2: be in his jersey, he'd be waving the towel, he'd
- 26:07Speaker 2: be yelling your officials, he was trying. It's not the
- 26:11Speaker 2: same impact as if you were on the field. So
- 26:14Speaker 2: him being out there on the field is as important
- 26:17Speaker 2: as anything for LSU.
- 26:18Speaker 7: Yeah, it's one of those things where in a team
- 26:21Speaker 7: sport when you have this unquestioned leader that not only
- 26:27Speaker 7: has like the talent, but he has the experience, the mindset,
- 26:31Speaker 7: and just like all the things you said, he's got
- 26:32Speaker 7: the ear of everybody. He's the unquestioned leader of every
- 26:35Speaker 7: and even all the guys that came in that transferred in,
- 26:39Speaker 7: he was a big catalyst for a lot of those
- 26:41Speaker 7: people in the recruitment of these guys, so.
- 26:43Speaker 6: They've known him.
- 26:44Speaker 7: He's been the common denominator of what they've known at
- 26:46Speaker 7: LSU from relationship standpoint.
- 26:48Speaker 6: So when you see that.
- 26:49Speaker 7: Guy step on the field with his pads on, I
- 26:52Speaker 7: can imagine and you're a safety or a corner or
- 26:54Speaker 7: a defensive lineman or whatever, and you see him hear
- 26:57Speaker 7: him calling the play in the huddle, you see him
- 26:59Speaker 7: lined up make and adjustments before the snap. I can
- 27:02Speaker 7: see you like just feel like feeling like I'm getting
- 27:05Speaker 7: like this is a settling feeling right now. Let me
- 27:08Speaker 7: let me buckle my chinch, drap a little bit tighter.
- 27:10Speaker 7: Let me all right now, now we're here.
- 27:12Speaker 6: Now, this is us.
- 27:13Speaker 7: This is us as a completed unit right here. And
- 27:16Speaker 7: you know, we talk a lot about like linebackers and
- 27:18Speaker 7: how you know, if you were to build one in
- 27:20Speaker 7: a lab, it'd be like Patrick Willis or Tequilo Spikes
- 27:23Speaker 7: or like these guys like in a lab. Well, if
- 27:24Speaker 7: you were to build like a linebacker's mindset, personality, like
- 27:29Speaker 7: leadership ability in a lab, it'd be Witweeks. He is
- 27:32Speaker 7: the perfect person to be that leader. And like you said,
- 27:36Speaker 7: it's very rare to have position group, different positions outside
- 27:41Speaker 7: of quarterback that have the kind of leadership pool and
- 27:46Speaker 7: magnetic personality that he has. And it's a rare combination
- 27:49Speaker 7: of so much plain time. So he's got the experience
- 27:54Speaker 7: and it's all successful experience overcome an adversity, just the
- 27:59Speaker 7: right character like type of person and it's just he's
- 28:02Speaker 7: a combination of everything that's good and right with college football. So,
- 28:09Speaker 7: you know, Elis, she's certainly lucky to have him. Glad
- 28:11Speaker 7: that he obviously came back. I know, probably injuries in
- 28:14Speaker 7: his past kind of helped that decision be made. I'm assuming,
- 28:19Speaker 7: but look, I can only imagine that if you got
- 28:23Speaker 7: a guy like I said that has helping in the
- 28:25Speaker 7: recruitment of guys on defense and certainly helped in the
- 28:30Speaker 7: recruitment Blake Baker.
- 28:31Speaker 6: Let's not get that twisted.
- 28:32Speaker 7: Yes, how much how much do you think having what
- 28:34Speaker 7: weeks stay in a year helped with getting Blake Baker
- 28:37Speaker 7: to say, yeah, I'm not gonna go be the head
- 28:39Speaker 7: coach for my alma mater, I'm going to stay be
- 28:41Speaker 7: the defensive coordinator here.
- 28:43Speaker 6: That had a huge impact on it.
- 28:45Speaker 2: And Blake being here had a huge impact on Wit
- 28:48Speaker 2: being here exactly. So I mean, you talk with him
- 28:50Speaker 2: and they'll tell you they'll try to hide that, yep.
- 28:53Speaker 7: So everything I can just imagine all the other ten
- 28:56Speaker 7: guys on the field and on the sideline for that matter,
- 28:58Speaker 7: and the coaching staff when he's out there, it's just like,
- 29:01Speaker 7: take a breath, our guys out there now, now let's
- 29:04Speaker 7: get let's get to work now.
- 29:05Speaker 6: And good to see him out there.
- 29:07Speaker 2: Look it is April sixteenth, yesterday when this practice happened.
- 29:11Speaker 2: You still got a long way to go, right, You
- 29:14Speaker 2: got like four months before, like you really need to
- 29:17Speaker 2: see him out there full speed.
- 29:19Speaker 6: But the whole point is that's a great sign that.
- 29:21Speaker 2: He's already involved in eleven and eleven. He's involved being
- 29:24Speaker 2: out there in practice, that is a great sign. Knowing
- 29:27Speaker 2: how much longer you have until you really need to
- 29:30Speaker 2: see him out there, it's gonna it's gonna be a
- 29:31Speaker 2: build up. So it's good that you have this process
- 29:34Speaker 2: and there's gonna be a plan in place. You're saying
- 29:35Speaker 2: he's not really competing, No, I know it. He's a meathead.
- 29:40Speaker 2: He's there's no he might know when a certain spot.
- 29:44Speaker 6: I meant like in his hell. I think he's got
- 29:47Speaker 6: the starting spot locks, he's got it locked up. I
- 29:49Speaker 6: think he's got lots the new head coach that we
- 29:51Speaker 6: got to compete. Yeah, he knows the new head coach
- 29:53Speaker 6: pretty well. All right, we will step away.
- 29:57Speaker 2: But again, it was great to see number forty out
- 29:59Speaker 2: there in a uniform doing some things with the teammates
- 30:02Speaker 2: and trying to get that guy fully healthy is a
- 30:05Speaker 2: huge priority for LSU football.
- 30:07Speaker 6: All Right, we'll step away more OTB when we come
- 30:08Speaker 6: back here live from the Raisin Kaine studio.
- 30:11Speaker 5: Off the bench.
- 30:14Speaker 6: All right.

- 31:48Speaker 6: No man falls me bout it gets.
- 31:50Speaker 10: The board and roast is hanging over the haz He
- 31:53Speaker 10: has at breaking switch to try to make me. Jood
- 31:56Speaker 10: been the hustle within all this custom and that broke
- 32:00Speaker 10: smoking back down on the back boat. I'm thinking I
- 32:02Speaker 10: got everything to touch and pes.
- 32:10Speaker 6: That make you feel better? Feeling better?
- 32:12Speaker 7: Oh yeah, I am, it feels like it. This is
- 32:14Speaker 7: like just an injection of energy. Double strength coffee helps
- 32:20Speaker 7: as well. This good stuff, though, I don't make it
- 32:29Speaker 7: like they used to people.
- 32:33Speaker 6: Now now you got mumble wrap. I know what are
- 32:36Speaker 6: they even saying? Nobody knows, but it's perfect mumble all wow.
- 32:54Speaker 6: That all right, we're gonna dive back into I'm just
- 32:58Speaker 6: letting you enjoy it, just letting them bree a little bit. Yeah.
- 33:00Speaker 6: I mean, there's gonna be some good music coming at
- 33:03Speaker 6: you today as it it always is. All right.
- 33:09Speaker 2: So yesterday was it yesterday that we talked to No,
- 33:11Speaker 2: it's two days ago because Flynn called him mel Tucker.
- 33:16Speaker 2: I'm sure we talked about mel Kiper's final mock draft.
- 33:23Speaker 2: So ESPN did a deal where they let area scouts
- 33:30Speaker 2: pick the top ten of the draft. And there was
- 33:34Speaker 2: an AFC South area scout that had the Saints pick,
- 33:38Speaker 2: and he went with Jermad McCoy corner out of Tennessee.
- 33:43Speaker 4: Is Man, so were already taken.
- 33:45Speaker 6: He was not.
- 33:46Speaker 4: That's incredible, it was.
- 33:47Speaker 6: All right, Well, you can go and throw his whole
- 33:50Speaker 6: list out the window.
- 33:52Speaker 2: The only reason I bring it up, the only the
- 33:54Speaker 2: only reason I bring this up. There's not many things
- 33:59Speaker 2: the Saints can do wrong at pick number eight.
- 34:01Speaker 6: I truly believe that.
- 34:04Speaker 2: We've talked about the players, the Ruben Baines, the Monsord
- 34:07Speaker 2: de Lannes, the sunny styles, the Caleb downs, And even
- 34:11Speaker 2: if it ends up being a receiver, it's not the
- 34:15Speaker 2: way that I would go. I don't think it's the
- 34:16Speaker 2: best case scenario for them at eight. But even if
- 34:19Speaker 2: they went Jordan Tyson or Carnell Tate or makay Lemon,
- 34:22Speaker 2: I could understand why they would do it. I really could,
- 34:26Speaker 2: because of your eleven personnel that you'd be rolling out
- 34:29Speaker 2: on the field right now.
- 34:30Speaker 6: We talked about that in Lenk yesterday. The only way
- 34:35Speaker 6: they can mess it up.
- 34:37Speaker 2: Is to take a corner who tore his ACL in
- 34:41Speaker 2: January of twenty twenty five and missed his entire junior
- 34:44Speaker 2: season while rehabbing.
- 34:49Speaker 6: It's wait a couple of years of college football. He
- 34:51Speaker 6: missed all of last year.
- 34:54Speaker 2: If you take him and this isn't and people are
- 34:57Speaker 2: gonna hear this and see this and be like, oh
- 34:59Speaker 2: my god, Bias Lsu Monsor Delane, And if you want
- 35:03Speaker 2: to do that, that's fine, but it's also the film
- 35:06Speaker 2: telling the story. Monsor de Laine was the best corner
- 35:09Speaker 2: in college football last year. It's not just us saying
- 35:12Speaker 2: that that's pff in the grades. That's everybody that you
- 35:18Speaker 2: kind of talked to that played against Monsor Delane, including
- 35:20Speaker 2: lshu's new head coach who told him, we're not throwing
- 35:23Speaker 2: to your side today, so just get comfortable. That to me,
- 35:28Speaker 2: if the Saints did that, that would be the only
- 35:31Speaker 2: way they could screw this top ten pickup is if
- 35:34Speaker 2: they went corner that wasn't Monsur Delane and they took
- 35:38Speaker 2: a guy that miss his entire junior season, did not
- 35:43Speaker 2: play and look, he ran a four to three nine.
- 35:45Speaker 6: That's great.
- 35:46Speaker 2: Monsoor ran fast. So the four to three nine is
- 35:50Speaker 2: not gonna be like, oh man, that does nothing for me.
- 35:54Speaker 2: What do we say whenever Monsur ran his forty, if
- 35:57Speaker 2: he runs under a four to four, lock it up?
- 36:01Speaker 6: He did, yeah, and he did so. Again.
- 36:06Speaker 2: This isn't an attack on Jamal McCoy. I think Jermal
- 36:09Speaker 2: McCoy's gonna hear his name called in the first fifteen picks.
- 36:12Speaker 2: But for the Saints, if you take a corner, the
- 36:16Speaker 2: best corner in this draft being Monsieur Delaine out of LSU,
- 36:21Speaker 2: this is the only way that you get booed.
- 36:23Speaker 6: In my opinion, yeah, and it's the only for sitting
- 36:27Speaker 6: in my chair.
- 36:28Speaker 7: And y'all know now what my opinion on corners are
- 36:31Speaker 7: as far as like overpay, and I don't think you
- 36:33Speaker 7: should ever overpay, whether it's contractually or overpay with draft stock,
- 36:37Speaker 7: and I just don't. There's very few times that I
- 36:41Speaker 7: can listen to an argument where a corner can be
- 36:45Speaker 7: drafted with a single digit number next to his name
- 36:48Speaker 7: and a top ten pick in the draft. That's a
- 36:50Speaker 7: lot of draft capital to pick you use on a corner.
- 36:53Speaker 7: They have to be special. And I'm not saying the
- 36:56Speaker 7: other kid's not good, but you have to be special.
- 36:59Speaker 7: You have to be an instant game changer. You have
- 37:02Speaker 7: to be instantly a guy that as soon as I
- 37:04Speaker 7: pick you, I know that I just locked the left
- 37:06Speaker 7: side of a defense up or I just locked the
- 37:08Speaker 7: right side of a defense up or I just locked
- 37:10Speaker 7: up the other team's best receiver. And I don't care
- 37:14Speaker 7: if it's JSN, I don't care if it's Jefferson, I
- 37:17Speaker 7: don't care if it's Mr Chase, I don't care who
- 37:18Speaker 7: it is.
- 37:18Speaker 6: I just locked up the best receiver.
- 37:20Speaker 3: Right.
- 37:22Speaker 7: That has to be the type of pick you make
- 37:23Speaker 7: if you're using it with a top ten pick in
- 37:27Speaker 7: the first first round of a draft. If you use
- 37:30Speaker 7: on a corner, you have to answer those questions as
- 37:32Speaker 7: soon as you make that pick.
- 37:33Speaker 6: I agree.
- 37:34Speaker 7: Now after that, once you get to like after ten,
- 37:37Speaker 7: then yeah, then then it becomes a different story. But
- 37:40Speaker 7: at top ten is an overpayment of a corner unless
- 37:43Speaker 7: you get those those questions answered. And Monsour is the
- 37:47Speaker 7: only one that I believe has the opportunity to check
- 37:49Speaker 7: those boxes in this draft.
- 37:52Speaker 6: And this pick was also made with Reuben Bain Junior
- 37:54Speaker 6: and Calee down still on the board. Well, who's ex
- 37:57Speaker 6: guy game? He's really dumb? Mel Tucker, Well, we still
- 38:03Speaker 6: haven't heard from mel Tucker on his mock draft.
- 38:06Speaker 7: I don't know if you want to hear people are
- 38:07Speaker 7: asking Mel Tuller he doesn't have no he does no
- 38:11Speaker 7: clue that people in Louisiana right now really need to
- 38:14Speaker 7: know his mock draft.
- 38:15Speaker 5: Not to be confused with Mel Gibson.
- 38:18Speaker 7: Well, that's not even plant that seat in my head.
- 38:24Speaker 7: I don't even know who works for ESPN. Now, too
- 38:27Speaker 7: many males out there.
- 38:32Speaker 2: Who Mel Kiper taken his last mark draft for the Saints. Yeah,
- 38:39Speaker 2: that's starting to gain some real, that's a good pick
- 38:41Speaker 2: by him. No, the Saints selected him at eight, that'd
- 38:48Speaker 2: be a good move. Nobody would be upset by that.
- 38:50Speaker 2: It's interesting how you say that.
- 38:51Speaker 7: It's because this the way this draft is played out
- 38:54Speaker 7: in position of the eighth pick is they are really
- 38:57Speaker 7: in a can't lose situation. Now, of course you can't
- 39:00Speaker 7: lose by doing something dumb. You can lose, But like,
- 39:03Speaker 7: there's just gonna be so many high quality players. Now,
- 39:05Speaker 7: once you get past ten, ten or fifteen in this
- 39:08Speaker 7: year's draft, then it becomes like, I don't really know
- 39:11Speaker 7: how the pick.
- 39:12Speaker 6: Is fifteen through thirty two.
- 39:15Speaker 2: You're gonna have to do your due diligence, to say
- 39:17Speaker 2: the least, to make sure you get a good player,
- 39:19Speaker 2: like no quid to that, that's a good player. I
- 39:22Speaker 2: should like to get an immediate impact starting no questions
- 39:28Speaker 2: asked player, how many guys do you think have first
- 39:31Speaker 2: round grades? Well, no, we talked about that the other day,
- 39:34Speaker 2: but like thirteen or fourteen, thirteen or forty, So about
- 39:37Speaker 2: thirteen or fourteen guys out of this year's draft would
- 39:40Speaker 2: probably be guaranteed to go in the first round next year. Yeah, right,
- 39:43Speaker 2: maybe there's more, but like, as of as we sit
- 39:46Speaker 2: right now, there's only thirteen or fourteen with the first
- 39:49Speaker 2: round grade right now, this there's a ton of second
- 39:54Speaker 2: third round talent. Oh yeah, there's one hundred guys that's
- 39:57Speaker 2: probably with a second third round. That's where the depth
- 39:59Speaker 2: of this raft is. Second third people gonna eat in
- 40:02Speaker 2: the second and third round. They're gonna hit some really
- 40:04Speaker 2: good players, but there's gonna be a lot of misses too.
- 40:08Speaker 2: And what we're saying is thirteen or fourteen guys that
- 40:11Speaker 2: are grated to be able to go into a franchise
- 40:14Speaker 2: and make an immediate positive impact.
- 40:17Speaker 7: So it's just it is what it is. That's just
- 40:19Speaker 7: the way the cookie crumbles this year. But at eight,
- 40:24Speaker 7: you're gonna get a dude if you don't screw it up.
- 40:28Speaker 7: And I don't think like I think it's so black
- 40:31Speaker 7: and white though this year that there's no way to
- 40:33Speaker 7: screw it up.
- 40:36Speaker 2: Really, I mean, I really like y'all, there's a ninety
- 40:41Speaker 2: chance that you're gonna like the Saints pick.
- 40:43Speaker 5: I think so too. I really, I feel like you
- 40:46Speaker 5: can't mess it up this specific.
- 40:50Speaker 6: For the unknown. If you mess it up, it's gonna
- 40:53Speaker 6: be a royal right mess up.
- 40:55Speaker 4: You can't, can it? Can it be royally messed up?
- 40:58Speaker 4: Because like, even if you do take a Jermad like
- 41:00Speaker 4: he's a good player, there's just more question marks about
- 41:02Speaker 4: him than man sore. Like I feel like I'm gonna
- 41:04Speaker 4: come in here next Friday and be like, oh, is
- 41:07Speaker 4: that what I would have done? Maybe not, but you
- 41:09Speaker 4: know what, the Saints got a damn good player.
- 41:10Speaker 6: You can really mess it up in the court of
- 41:12Speaker 6: public opinion. Su Yes, maybe not from like a talent perspective, but.
- 41:17Speaker 2: Like yeah, like look again to Tayte's point, if they
- 41:22Speaker 2: take Francis Malioah and he's available, no way in the
- 41:26Speaker 2: world is it what any of us would have done.
- 41:29Speaker 6: But again, like that's a really good foot right, Like
- 41:31Speaker 6: are you mad about it? Spencer? You know Fono is.
- 41:36Speaker 2: Really good football player, but the Saints fans don't want
- 41:40Speaker 2: to see another offensive lineman in the first round, is
- 41:42Speaker 2: the point? So like, there's ways that you cannot be happy,
- 41:47Speaker 2: but there's a ninety percent chance you're going to be.
- 41:51Speaker 6: And we haven't said that. I know I haven't been.
- 41:54Speaker 6: I've been doing this and at this station for eight
- 41:58Speaker 6: years and I haven't had this.
- 42:00Speaker 2: Level of comfort going into a draft for the Saints,
- 42:04Speaker 2: and they haven't always been picking this high, so I
- 42:06Speaker 2: get that part of it too, but they have over
- 42:08Speaker 2: a recent memory. But you feel so good about the
- 42:12Speaker 2: players that are going to be available.
- 42:13Speaker 6: To you, they'll screw it up. What if you trade
- 42:17Speaker 6: up to six? I don't. I don't want you to.
- 42:23Speaker 5: I'm just saying, stop with your trade up.
- 42:26Speaker 6: I want to trade down.
- 42:28Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 42:28Speaker 4: Yeah, I know that you are the guy that traded
- 42:30Speaker 4: with himself in the mock draft.
- 42:32Speaker 6: Oh yeah, I mean the Cardinal.
- 42:34Speaker 2: The Cardinals gam at three, trades back as much as anybody,
- 42:38Speaker 2: as much as anybody. So if one of these teams,
- 42:42Speaker 2: to Matt's point, if one of these teams loves a
- 42:45Speaker 2: player at three, they'll do it.
- 42:47Speaker 7: And you're only going to see someone trying to make
- 42:49Speaker 7: a move in the top eight picks, probably maybe nine.
- 42:53Speaker 7: If Ruben falls past eight, Yeah right, cowboys might move up.
- 42:57Speaker 6: Yeah, like they might move up. Like you might see that. Yeah.
