- Micaiah: It is I, your host, Captain Boring, at the conclusion of week four, in the start of college football chaos 2026, it has officially started. I called it on the podcast on Wednesday. I've been calling it for a few weeks now. I've had the gut feeling, and it has started. And we had a great weekend of college football. we had a very bad weekend for a few fan bases, including my own for college football. But we're gonna start on Friday night with Indiana Northwestern. Indiana was favored by 14 and a half going in, and this game ended up 29 23, and Northwestern won't go away. Folks, I said it on Wednesday. I've been saying it all year. I truly believe when we get to the end of the season and look at the top of the rankings, standings, whatever, the number one team in college football is going to have two losses. I just don't see with the distribution of talent from NIL and transfer portal, it like it has even things immensely. Indiana gets a gets a win against a very solid opponent. Chip Kelly has just transformed that Northwestern offense. Northwestern is now no longer an easy out. Northwestern, I believe, has some questions. They have good wide receivers. Their top running back did get hurt, so that is something to watch with how long he is out. Their defense is solid, but all it takes is one slip. So Indiana escapes narrowly. Clemson goes on the road to Cal and does ACC after dark and gets a fourteen point win. Rutgers gets a the the last two games, their offense their offense has been gangbusters. First against USC and now against Howard. Granted, it was Howard, but fifty-eight points from Rutgers in a team that just looked dead on arrival during the college foot football season at the start. Is back and better than ever. All right. So that is Friday. this is this may or may not be 30 minutes. It could be, and what I mean by may not is it could be over. This is how whack wacky and wild this college football season is going. so use the chapters if you want to jump ahead to me talking about a few a certain topic, use the trap. Chapters in the description for each topic and just fast forward if you don't want to listen to the whole thing. But I hope that you do and I hope that you like, subscribe, share. I hope that you download wherever you get this podcast so you never miss a single episode. Because this podcast is going places. Trust me, that's a little bragging, but we've upped subscribers in every social media and on YouTube. And I have Everyone who's subscribed to thank for that because thank you so much for listening and sharing and interacting. We appreciate it so much. We have a lot of fun doing this. We are still going to do the Wednesday show, so don't forget about that. But let's jump into Saturday, the noon game, where game day was, where President Trump was, Texas, Tennessee, ugly game. I was bored for three hours and 37 minutes until Tennessee recovered an onside kick down three. And then Tennessee just continues to shoot themselves in the foot. They recovered the ball with like a minute 21 to go. And over the next minute 21, 40 seconds of that was 10 second runoffs because they had so many penalties. This was a sloppy game. Through and from from both sides. This was not pretty football. Texas had 11 penalties for 115 yards. All of Tennessee's penalties basically came in that last minute 21. They like again, they had like four of them. So four 10-second runoffs. Texas had two turnover. This is why this game was close. Meanwhile, the player of this game is Colin Simmons, the edge rusher for Texas. Five. Sacks. They should have credited him with that. He should really have five and a half because he did get half a sack on Faison Brandon. So really you should have five and a half, if not six, and tie the FBF's record. Arch Manning was okay. 14 of 19 for 201 yards. And I wrote this down. The Texas offense doesn't scare me. Neither does Arch. 10 plus penalties for Texas. Slappy game for both teams. That's my description of this game. Texas fans, please interact with me. What is your overall opinion of the Texas offense right now? Because n because as a college football fan, nothing scares me. Your defense, I underestimated, and your defensive line play, I underestimated by far. I think it I think I got Ohio State goggles, and I need to give Ohio State a lot of credit for the program they built and the two best teams in college football. purely are Texas and Ohio State. And if they played again, I'd probably give it to Ohio State, right? With some decisions in the second half of that game. probably goes the other way nine times out of ten. Arch Manning did nothing to scare me. Faison Brandon woke up in the last like five minutes of the game. Tennessee could not run the ball at all. They ran for 1.6 yards a carry. And you say, all right, Texas Or Te Texas dominated this game. Well, Texas couldn't run the football either. Jim Knowles had that defense cooking, one point seven yards a carry. So Texas, Texas fans, what exactly does your offense do well? I I I'm honestly asking. I've watched two games and change. I've only watched two of their other blowouts, but from what I hear in their other two non-Ohio State Tennessee games, they looked okay. They didn't look great. So what exactly scares me about Texas besides your defense? Because Colin Simmons is just, he's a top five pick. Now, Tennessee had some offensive line trouble yesterday. He was abusing whoever he was lined up against. He was abusing both tackles, guards, guards, center, whoever they put, tight ends, running back, even when he was double teamed, he was still getting home. And Faison Brandon wasn't helping. He was missing wide receivers early, and then he got hurt, and the backup came in, and it was just not good early. And Tennessee kind of figured things out, but they could not run the ball. They couldn't pack like it. But neither could Texas. So I'm very interested to see. Again, I I think Texas, I they're not gonna lose Red River. Oklahoma's a broken football team offensively. So they do have a bye, and then they play Red River. I think that's a blowout. And then you get Florida Ole Miss Mississippi State Missouri LSU. You get a bye week with Arkansas, L O L. And then you play Texas A and which is again another broken football team. That schedule's tough, and you got it the defense will keep you in every game, but you got to figure some stuff out offensively because you're going up against offenses that got dudes on on that side of the football. All right. What game did I because I kind of want to go in order. also, Louisville lost. They've been the most entertaining team, right? I love watching a good college football team that plays all offense, no defense. I there's something about it. There's something about it that I love. It's it they're they're not great teams because you gotta play both sides of the ball to win the f to win f games, obviously. But but there's something about it that I love that when college football teams play all offense, no defense, and that's the Louisville Cardinals. They lost this game though. Excuse me, sorry about that. Hopefully the magic episode cuts that out because that was embarrassing. Lincoln Keenholz continues to be a stud. But Wake Force is now 3-1, 1-1 in the ACC. Louisville, this is such a typical Jeff Braun thing to do. You lose a close game, and then you win your next two, and you're starting to look good, and you beat SMU in a back and forth game, and you lose a close game, and you beat a top 25 team, and then the next week, Jeff Braun. He just can't figure it out. And it must infuriate the Jeff Brahm supporters, but A couple years ago they beat a top 10 Notre Dame team, and then you go to Pittsburgh, and Pittsburgh wasn't even any good, and you lose. And now you have Wake Force come to town and they drop 30 points against you. And the defense was bragging to start the season. Louisville wants to be remembered by defense. We want Louisville to be put on the map because of their defense. They I I just looked it up. They out all of their FPS opponents, they have given up at least twenty seven points. And in two of the games, they've given up thirty plus. So they're not going to be remembered by defense. Lincoln Keenholz, by the way, he's a dude. Now Louisville's gonna fall off the map a little bit because this is how this goes. You get two losses, you get one, you get two losses, whatever it may be. You know, you all the high all the eyeballs are on you, you take a loss, and the nation just forgets about you. And I could there's a very real possibility if they clean things up on defense and if Lincoln Keenholz keeps playing the way he's playing. That you get to the end of the season and you look up and they're 10 and two. Because they have NC State, Florida State, Syracuse, Stanford, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, Pittsburgh, and Kentucky. Outside of Kentucky, who in that ACC slate scares you? I want everyone to be real with themselves right now. Who on that ACC Sate slate scares Louisville? Because from what I've seen for the ACC, Georgia Tech's not pushing people around. North Carolina's got a good defense, but struggling on offense. Pittsburgh's okay, depending on what week it is. Florida State's a dumpster fire. Syracuse is Syracuse. And Stanford rebuilding. Got a nice win last night against Georgia Tech. But Jeff Brahm's gonna Jeff Brahm and Chip Kelly get the check that I will say every single time. They're gonna find a way to score 28 points. Every single game. And Kentucky, and then your big one at the end of the year is Kentucky. So you tighten things up defensively, and right now your old miss loss looks okay. Your wake force loss, depending on how the rest of their season go, goes. Again, they're three and one, one and one in the ACC. They had their tough game against Miami. Their next tough game is against S at SMU, and that's middle of November. So does Wake Forest be surprised and make a run? Jake Dicker, the head coach of Wake Force, he came from Washington State and he's really started having this program believing. By the way, their quarterback, I need to find his name, Gio Lopez, he came from North Carolina where he was last year and reunited with his South Alabama offensive coordinator. He cooked yesterday. 12 of 19, 225, a touchdown. QBR of 91 out of 15 yards on the ground. But Lincoln Keene holds 27 of 36, 324, one touchdown, one interception. He did have two rushing touchdowns. He had negative 19 rushing yards. Sack yardage is in there. by the way, but Louisville had two attempts to tie this game late in the fourth quarter. One field, the last field goal was blocked. The other one was pushed right. Alright, let's go to the next top topic. the 330 games. Let's hit them up. Florida is back, folks. To steal Joe Tessators. Texas is back, folks. Florida is back. In the offseason, I didn't predict Florida was gonna be good. But I said I I just got a feeling about Florida. In one of the podcast episodes, I just got a feeling about Florida. And then I found out John Summerall coached in the SEC before. And I'm like, well that's good. Because it's not what they had before. with their previous head coach. So he knows what the expectations are and he knows how to play SEC football and he knows what the SEC's about. And then this season started and they started running the ball really well with Jaden Ball. And I was like, Florida could be back. And then Auburn came to call. And then they went to Auburn. And they ran the ball really effectively on an SEC defense. I'm like, okay, I think Florida's back. And then they were favored against Ole Miss. And I picked Florida to win this game and they were favored. So it's not technically an upset, but it's an upset in ranking only. And I'm like, yeah, but they got six. They got tr Ole Miss has got six. They got Trinidad Chambliss. And Florida running the ball well. And and Ole Miss doesn't play great defense. But you know, like like nah. Like like this can't happen, right? But I pick Florida anyway, because I had a good feeling. But I'm in the back of my mind, I'm just like, I if chaos is gonna start, it's it it's bound to start it sometimes because it's just been teasing us, even Friday night. You know, northwestern Indiana college college football chaos has just been teasing us this whole time. Like just teasing us with upsets. Going back to week one. And then on Miss comes Colin. And Florida runs for 302 yards. Florida is so back. And I've been on a streak of just being dead wrong. So if we look back in four weeks and people are laughing at me, whatever. I don't care at this point. Their defense leaves something to be desired, and that's okay. But their offense is. Awesome. Buster Faulkner comes over from Georgia Tech, and what he did with Haynes King last year running the football has just been tenfold with Jaden Ball. This Florida Gator rushing attack, they ran the ball for six yards a carry. Jaden Ball, 29 carries, 142 yards, three touchdowns. Duke Clark. 12 carries, 126 yards. For those bad at math, that's 10 yards a carry and a touchdown. Aaron Philo, six carries, 14 yards. That's the quarterback. Dallas Wilson must have had like a jet sweep or something. One carry, six yards, and a touchdown. Like this was in the quad box, and this was going on at the same time in the Michigan game, and they'll be up next. So stick around, all you Michigan fans and all you Michigan haters, because you'll love that segment and you'll kill us on all the social medias and you'll interact with us and give us followers, and it'll be awesome. Trinidad Camp Chambliss played okay 25 34, 298, a touchdown and an interception. I again this was on the quad box, but so and I was paying attention to the Michigan game. But every time I came back to this, it was turn around, hand the ball off, six yards, turn around, hand the ball off, ten yards, turn around, hand the ball off, eight yards, turn around, hand the ball off. They would rip off a long one for 40 yards and a touchdown. So I was in and out, but Florida dominated this game. This game was purely domination in Florida and the swamp is back. Now, this also happens every year. You get eyeballs on you, so you scored forty four at Auburn. number four Ole Miss comes knocking and you score fifty-two. Now we get to see what you're made of. You're going to Missouri, who lost on the road. I'll get to them. South Carolina's broken. Shane Beamer might be fired after the 10-10 game in two weeks. Then you're at Texas, Georgia, Oklahoma, blah, whatever, Kentucky. And then you finish with Vanderbilt Florida State. So are the Gators actually back? I think so. Because if you're gonna run for six yards a pop against against SEC defenses, then you're gonna be in every single game. You gotta clean up some things offensively, but you ran for 243 against Auburn as well at 4.6 yards a pot. 4.6 yards a pot. You gotta think clean things up defensively, especially your passing defense. But you've played really two two really good. Quarterbacks? But boy, f something about college football. Like you we're gonna look up and Florida's gonna be ten and two. Florida's gonna be ten and two, nine and three at the let at the end of the season, knocking on the college football playoff. Mark my words. I truly believe Florida is back. All right, we're gonna jump to the game that everyone is here and everyone is gonna cook us on social media for. And that's okay. Iowa 20, Michigan 19. I'm gonna start off because I don't want to just talk about Michigan this whole time. Iowa played Lucy CFB. Shout out Lucy CFB. And if this is a clip, I will make sure I tag her in this. And maybe I'll just tag her in the whole episode. Lucy CFB, she's an Iowa fan. She came on, made a video after. Go check her out. She's got really good content. Very clean, very good content. Go check her out. Michigan got Kurt Ferrenced. To quote her, you got Kurt Ferrenced, bitch. Iowa should not have won this game, but they did. They played Iowa football. They played clean football. Five penalties, 34 yards, time of possession, you know, within 10 minutes, no turnovers. You took the points or you took opportunities for the points. You had a kickoff return for a touchdown. You had a you forced a turnover in the red zone. You played Iowa football, and you gave Michigan that karma they've deserved since week one. Michigan has been begging to lose. And I'm trying to find Very positive things and very praised for Iowa and this is a great Iowa win and game day is gonna go there next week, I'm sure, for them in Ohio State and the and and the fans are gonna be raucous and it's gonna be a good scene for Iowa and I'm glad Iowa is on the And I'm gonna turn the page, and I'm sorry I can't come up with more things to say about Iowa for this game. I I I really am because I wanna say that you that you took it to Michigan and you did everything that mi you know, you it was a back and forth game, and and you put up a lot of offense and you were very successful. You ran the ball for two point four yards, a carry. Your passing offense really didn't come alive until the fourth quarter, and really until that last ninety two yard drive. Before that ninety two yard drive, you had under two hundred yards passing. You had a buck thirty. Okay? You're good to football team. You won the way Iowa wins. Michigan dominated this game and lost, and they've been begging to lose, and that's what they did. They had two turnovers in the red zone, one on a terrible Bryce Underwood is so big. He needs to learn how to quarterback sneak. And they they called a QB sneak without clearly practicing it. And turnover on downs inside your red zone that you could have kicked the field goal and won this game twenty two to twenty and put this game out of reach. You had an interception inside the red zone. Your first drive of the second half at like the two yard line. And you only ran though and you ran the ball better but not effectively for four yards of carry. But Bryce Underwood looked the best that he's looked in two seasons. He was reading defenses getting to a second and third read. He was putting touch on throws. His decision making was confident and quick and decisive with appropriate arm strength on every throw. Both their top receivers went over a hundred yards. JJ Buchanan had two yards. Bryce Underwood navigated the pocket really well, including on that long touchdown run to go up nineteen to thirteen. Or go up nineteen to fourteen in the fourth quarter. This was the best version of Bryce Underwood that Michigan fans have ever seen. And the interception, I'm thinking, was a miscommunication because of how decisive Bryce Underwood was the entire season. It looked to me like he wanted Marsh on a back shoulder fade that he had and probably would have been out at the two-yard line. But instead, Marsh ran a go ball and was expecting something at the back pylon of the end zone. Opportunities for improvement. Yeah, QBR seventy two seven. Hank Brown on the other end eighty six QBR played really well in the fourth quarter, as I as I said. And and and that drive was all on then. Michigan's been begging to lose. And they did. And they finally did. They also had another eight penalties for seventy five yards, including one that they had Iowa on fourth and twelve at the end of the game. And Zeke Barry just decides to push the wide receiver out of bounds after the play was blown dead. Gave Iowa an automatic first down. It would have been fourth and twelve. It is two steps forward, one step back with this Michigan football team. And they better get things straight straightened up and straightened up fast. The offense is looking better. The defense also, there was no pass rush late in the game. They just played pre-vent, which I hate. I hate. Bring pressure. Rush four, bring pressure, especially on that last play. Heat them up. Make them get the ball out of the hands. If they miss a tackle, great. And you might say, Makaiah, and then you would have said, Why are you why'd you bring pressure and play coverage? I was screaming at the TV, heat up, bring six. Heat up, bring six that entire drive. If they make you miss and they make a good throw, fine. But heat up, bring f pressure, get a sack, get them. But if they go 92 yards. With one timeout under two minutes, something's wrong. Some like your play calling is just not wrong. You got Minnesota next week, then you get a bye. Then you get Penn State and Indiana at home. You go two Rutgers, Michigan State, at Oregon, UCLA, Ohio State. Figure things out and clean things up very quickly, or you're looking at four losses. You're looking at five losses. Because Minnesota's gonna be cleaned up and you're at Minnesota. Penn State, we'll get to them in just a second. Indiana's gonna be cleaned up, but Penn Penn State, I'm sorry, Penn State's a good football team. Indiana's gonna be cleaned up. We know that. Ruckers is a dumpster fire. Michigan State's gonna be cleaned up a rivalry game. At least it's at home. Dan Lanning seems to have Oregon back turned around. We'll get to them. UCLA has dropped. fifty on back to back Big Ten opponents. By the way, I'm not gonna make 30 minutes. So you might as well just if you're waiting for a topic, keep listening or skip ahead. And then you go to Ohio State, who I believe is the second best team in the country. Make could be best. Haha. It Michigan's infuriating to watch. Meanwhile, Iowa puts themselves they're four and puts themselves in good position. you get Ohio State at three thirty next weekend. And I don't mean to sound rude, because it was a good win. You played Iowa defense you played Iowa defense, yes. You played Iowa offense. You did you got a kick return for a touchdown. You did all the right things right and you won the game, and it was a great win against a top 25 team and you broke the streak. And I'm like, and I'm trying not to rain on the parade. If you play like that against Ohio State next week, Iowa fans, it's forty four to seventeen. It's 44 to 17 Ohio State. I'm sorry. I don't mean to be a party pooper. I really don't. Ohio State, Iowa. Ohio State's favored by fourteen. So enjoy it now, Iowa fans. And I hope you pull the upset. But because your schedule after Ohio State also with you so even with a even if you lose, you get Washington, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Northwestern, Purdue, Illinois, Nebraska, all very winnable games, given how you play football. Very, very well done. Very well done, Iowa, Michigan, clean it up. All right. Penn I watched the last five seconds of Penn State, Wisconsin. And then I looked up the play, and then I looked up, you know, the drive chart and and you know the stats and stuff. So I'm gonna give you the Wisconsin Penn State stats. Total yard is Wisconsin 355, Penn State 233. Rushing was equal 120 to and 119, four and a half, three and a half yards of carry, passing 235 for Wisconsin, 114 for Penn State. Wisconsin, nine penalties. Penn State, three penalties. Wisconsin, three turnovers. Penn State, one turnover. Time of possession, just about equal. Who won this game? Comment down below real quick. Pause the video, comment down below who won Penn State Wisconsin based on the stats alone. I know most of you know the answer if you're listening to this. and By the way, Penn State has it had a 17 nothing lead. Wisconsin came back and won this game. Three turnovers. Down seventeen. Penn State finds a way to lose this game. More than Michigan f found a way to lose their game because they didn't have a seventeen nothing lead. Here is Penn State's drive chart for the day. Punt, field goal, end of quarter in the first quarter, which ended on a punt. So really punt, field goal, punt. Wisconsin threw an interception, so and Penn State took that back for six. Wisconsin, another interception. Penn State three place touchdowns. Then, so Penn State went pick six. Touchdown off of an interception, then punt, end of half, third quarter on. Interception, field goal, punt, punt, punt, punt, end of game. Up 17. Wins con Luke Fickle finally gets a signature win. But this is what I'm saying: chaos in the big chaos not in the Big Ten. Chaos in college football 2026 has started. No one is coming out unscathed. Ohio State already has one loss. Texas is begging for a loss given their offense. Georgia might be the most complete team, but who have they played? Yes, I do mean that even them playing Arkansas and Oklahoma. Who have they played? When John Mateo is rolling right at the like at like the five yard line and goes to throw and just throws it the ball slips out of his hands, throws backwards, it's a scoop and score for like ninety four yards. Georgia. You know, that made it twenty one nothing. Like, who has who has Georgia played at at this point in time? So when Georgia gets tested, do they lose, right? Are they truly the best team? Maybe. Indiana, we'll see about them. But number thirteen lost yesterday, number four lost yesterday, number twelve lost yesterday, number twenty-three lost, number eighteen lost, number nineteen lost. It started, folks. It the chaos has started. So Wisconsin gets a signature win under Luke Fickle, finally. But Matt Campbell always Matt Campbell and Kyle Whittingham, these big 12 coaches came to the Big Ten, always dropped stupid games. I mean, coaches drop stupid game, teams drop stupid games, but like in given the historic of their career, they always just in in the last like 10 years that I've been watching college football. Both those coaches have just lost. Dumb games. And that's a really dumb one to lose if you're Penn State, because you're up 17 to nothing. I understand if you're not up 17 to nothing and it's a wacky game and Wisconsin hangs around or whatever. But you're up 17 to nothing and have three turnovers and l found a way to lock lose the game. Ohio State blew out Illinois 42 19. Again, that is what I think is coming for Iowa. Because Ohio State, I they're the second best team in the country only because they lost to Texas. So I put them second only because they lost to Texas. I talked about Florida already. LSU, like Texas AM is broken offensively. LSU 35 6. That that game just wasn't even close. Sam Levitt. shrugged off the haters and played really well for them in the night cap. Oregon USC. Back and forth game. In a game that Robert's Lord and Savior, Dylan Rayola, came in because Dante Moore took a nasty hit. He went to slide, it was targeting, the player was kicked out. The player, Dante Moore scrambled, went to slide, gave himself up. It was shoulder right to the head, slammed it in the head, and then slammed back on the turf he he was posturing you know doing the I call it the two of posturing took out took him out in an ambulance to the local hospital so Ts and P's to Dante Moore his season might be done Dylan Riola came in 19 of 25 289 two touchdowns QBR of ninety eight by the way Dante Moore was ten of eight seventy seven yards QBR of ninety two Oregon ran the ball for 138 yards and four point two yards a carry. Everyone was telling me this is USC's year, this is USC's year, this is USC year. USC and Lincoln Riley specifically don't play defense. I am tired of the narrative that Lincoln that that they Lincoln Riley and USC can do They don't play defense. Lincoln Riley's teams have never, ever in the history of Lincoln Riley's coaching tenure played defense. They have lost every single time because they don't play defense. Every single big game Lincoln Riley has he's never beaten the Ducks Y at SC. Jaden Maiava, 2342, 326, two touchdowns, QBR, just under 84. They ran the ball 3.6 yards a carry. It was back and forth until Dylan Rayola and the Oregon Ducks took over in the fourth quarter. But this is why you have a really good backup quarterback because Dylan Rayola p came in and played really, really well. This is the drive chart for the Oregon Ducks post post halftime in third quarter on. Touchdown, touchdown, punt, touchdown, touchdown, end of game. They didn't stop him in the second half outside of one drive. In the first half, Oregon went field goal, punt, touchdown, which I believe was, yes. So on their touchdown drive to go up 10-7, that's when Dante Moore went out. So when Dylan Riola came in, he went field goal at the end of the half, touchdown, touchdown, punt, touchdown, touchdown, end of game. And Oregon played okay deal. Their defensive line is still too good to be giving up as many points as they are to teams that they are, but they've played really good offenses. So Dan Landing's got a defensive problem. Nothing's wrong with Oregon's offense. I've said that from a jump, but just wait. You'll look up at the end of the year, and or Oregon will be 10 and 2 again. I I same with Michigan. Same with Iowa. Like I think all the afternoon, night, like all these upset teams. Well and we'll see about SC. SC's schedule, you get Washington next. Then you're at Penn State and Wisconsin. Then you host Ohio State and go to Indy and when you get a him a and when you get USC away from the costume, they somehow play worst, worse worst, that's not worse, worst defense. So you get Penn State probably in a whiteout environment, Wisconsin, Ohio State, probably best offense and best player in college football, Indiana at Indiana like at Indiana and at UCLA that put up fifty in back to back games. I I I'm tired of I'm I'm out on SC. I'm out. And maybe I'll look up at the end of the year and they're 11 and 1, 10 and 2. but I doubt it. I I truly, truly doubt it. I have more faith in Iowa beating Ohio State next week than I do in USC the rest of the year. Let me put it that way. Let me put it that way. I'm and I'm on the Iowa bandwagon forever now. I'm on the Iowa bandwagon forever. I'm just putting that out there. Mississippi State's got a dude. Camario Taylor does it again. Now they did jump out to a 14-0 lead and then they lost it. And they came and Missouri came all the way back and actually took the lead 24-17. And then Camario Taylor Let a 14-play drive tied the game, and then they got it back and led a five-play, 85-yard drive to win the game. Mississippi State's got an offense and they've got a dude. And now he threw for 360 yards and three touchdowns. They ran the ball very well. Fluff Bothwell. I gotta ask Carrie what she thinks of Fluff Bothwell. 25 carries a buck 22 and a touchdown, five yards a carry. Austin Simmons didn't play terribly. 23 of 39, 395, three touchdowns. QBR 75. But I'm telling you, Mississipp Mississippi State, they got them cowbells rattling there in Stark Vegas. It's it's loud. Comario Taylor is him. Is him. And I feel better. And and I have to, it is no longer a free win. Whoever plays Mississippi State, I gotta think long and hard because Camario Taylor's playing really, really well. Oklahoma State, the this was two non-ranked team, but Oklahoma State, West Virginia, again, all offense. It was classic Big 12 games, all offense, no defense. I love it. Oklahoma State is the real deal. Drew Mestamaker in that offense is the real deal, and they got enough playmakers on defense to win the Big 12. They really do. Drew Mestimaker, 20 of 27, 389 yards, three touchdowns, one really bad interception, but still, QBR of 87. They ran the ball for 220 yards. And that's the thing that I love about this Oklahoma State offense. They're running the ball too. It isn't just Drew Mestimaker throwing for 9 million yards in an air raid offense. It's we're running the ball 31 times with Caleb Hawkins for a buck 80 at six yards a pop. And they're really fun to watch. They gave it to Oregon. And they've just ever since that Oregon game, it has been just rocket ship forward. Rocket ship forward. West Virginia is, they're gonna make a lot of people. They're gonna play a lot of people really well. And it would not surprise me if they only have lose three games at the end of the year or something like that. Here's West Virginia's problem they can't throw the football. Michael Hawkins cannot throw the football, or maybe they don't have receivers on the outside, or whatever it is. Their passing game, let me put it that way, is just ungood. 10 of 22 for a buck 32 at six yards on average. QBR just under 60. What they do do really well, I said doo-doo, they run the ball really well. 335 yards at 5.1 yards a pop. They ran it 66 times. Their passing game is ungood. Ungood. But West Virginia can run on anyone with the ri Richrod schemes, and I know I was glazing them up in Wednesday's show. Morgantown is back, Rich Rod is back, but Oklahoma State's for real. They are a hundred and twelve percent for real. I'm just making sure I didn't miss anything. Western Michigan fans, I I never want to hear you talk again. Ever. You lost the game you should have won on a Hail Mary to Michigan. Michigan finally got their karma. I get that. You get Boise stayed at home, and you give me and college football. You you got national recognition. Everyone is paying attention to you because of the quote injustice that was done against you. please Injustice turn over the g turn over the result of the game, please, please. How are you gonna let Boise State blow you out by 25 at home then? Inbarrassing loss. You had twenty-two two hundred and twenty-three total yards of offense. Embarrassing. By the way, Boise's Boise State, top group of 16. Lock them in right now. They're killing people with efficiency. Boise State is amazing. They ran for a buck seven, buck seventy three, four point one yards a carry. Mattis Maxson, 204 yards, 16 of 23, 97 QBR. It's just so efficient. Boise State, you're done. Never want to hear from your fan base again this year. You're done. Cincinnati's 4-0 in the Big 12. They beat Kansas State 31 26 at home. That's a really good win for them. Minnesota, Michigan's next opponent, went to Washington. And this does not happen very often, folks. That an East Coast team, now they are central because they're Minnesota. So it's a little easier with the time, but still. With East going west, playing an 8 p.m. local time or 11 p.m. Eastern time game doesn't get wins very often. And they got a big win against Washington. So the Golden Gophers are three and one with their only loss to Mississippi State. And who comes calling is big blue on Saturday and the way Michigan's playing, this could be a very much Minnesota victory. Very much so. Minnesota victory on Saturday. But Saturday, this past Saturday, they got the win. And and they took it to Washington. Total yards more, less turnovers. They did have more penalties, but more time of possession. They ran the ball four yards a pop and held Washington to one point five yards rushing. Turned them into a one dimensional team. You row the boat, man. You row the boat, you get results. Again, NIL has leveled this playing field more than ever before. Chaos is starting. I'm very interested to see where they rank teams, how much they punish teams like Old Miss for getting dominated, right? SMUs out, how much they punish USC for getting dominated and not playing defense. Louisville, Michigan, what do they do there? How much do they rise Mississippi State through the rankings? how much do they punish Tennessee for that loss? Meanwhile, th the best teams in the country by far are Texas, Ohio State, Notre Dame, and Georgia. Notre Dame and Georgia though are with an asterisk because they really haven't played anybody. And my top five are Texas, in order, Texas, Ohio State, Georgia, Notre Dame, and Miami. I don't know who five is right now, but I probably just really disrespected them, but I'm I'm alright with it. and India and no, I'm good with putting Miami over Indiana right now. College football chaos 2026 has begun. We're going to have a great show for you for you Wednesday. Tuesday night, Wednesday, whenever we get that posted. Alabama, Mississippi State next week. I'm just going to preview the preview show because I'm so fired up. Alabama at Mississippi State. And it's a home game, and Kamaro Taylor's a dude, but so is Keelon Russell. by the way, Shame Beamer and Alabama or Let me rephrase. Alabama took it to Shane Beamer 49 to 18. It wasn't even that close. Shane Beamer's probably gone by week six. Keelan Russell is also a dude and is finding their way, and Alabama's running the football effectively. So that's gonna be a really exciting game. Michigan, Minnesota's got a whole like Michigan is now on playoff chopping block. Like they are in elimination game. Minnesota can get right back in there. You got Ohio State, Iowa. If Iowa can put together another Iowa performance, Ohio State's going down. Florida going to Missouri coming off of two wins. Can John Summerall re-get them up? Nob n Nebraska's four and folks. Miami at Clemson. Texas Tech no, just kidding. Texas Tech, no Washington at USC. USC is facing elimination every timeout. Indiana's got to go to Rutgers. All of a sudden, Rutgers has found an offense. Folks, we got more upsets coming next week. I know it. Vanderbilt's going to Georgia. Maybe something crazy can happen there. and Friday night, Penn State's going to Northwestern and their new stadium. And Northwestern, they can put up Chip Kelly's dropping 28 on anyone. 28 on anyone. It's gonna be an amazing. We got a great show for you, so make sure you turn on that notification. Make sure you download the podcast, subscribe so you never miss a single episode.
