- 0:02Speaker 1: This is an Unspoiled Network podcast. This is spoil Me,
- 0:08Speaker 1: covering One Piece episodes seven through seven twenty two So Long,
- 0:16Speaker 1: Bellamy's Farewell, Blow, Law Dies, Loofy's Raging Onslaught, and a
- 0:23Speaker 1: Blade of Tenacity the Gamma Knife counterattack. In these episodes,
- 0:32Speaker 1: Law makes use of his power in a surprising way.
- 0:38Speaker 1: I still just don't really understand why he's not dead though,
- 0:42Speaker 1: Guys like, like, I know why because it's one piece,
- 0:46Speaker 1: but also how is he not dead though?
- 0:50Speaker 2: Welcome to spoil Me.
- 1:10Speaker 1: Welcome to the show everyone. I am Natasha. Thank you
- 1:13Speaker 1: very much to Michael for commissioning this episode. What's up, Michael,
- 1:18Speaker 1: if you're out there, appreciate you very very much.
- 1:22Speaker 2: Yeah, you guys. I look, I know that Law.
- 1:27Speaker 1: Switched bodies with another guy, but still I don't understand
- 1:42Speaker 1: because it so here's the thing, you know what, I'm
- 1:52Speaker 1: gonna wait until we actually get to that spot so
- 1:54Speaker 1: that I can also describe the exact animation that's happening
- 1:57Speaker 1: and why I was a little bit confused, because I
- 2:00Speaker 1: feel like maybe in that there will be like a
- 2:04Speaker 1: particular clue. So we start this episode, we finally have
- 2:14Speaker 1: Zorro like the intros to this show, because we have
- 2:20Speaker 1: first of all, the regular opening music, and then we
- 2:24Speaker 1: have like the recap description of what's been going on,
- 2:29Speaker 1: and you know, he challenged all there to a game,
- 2:34Speaker 1: et cetera, et cetera. We get about like five and
- 2:41Speaker 1: a half minutes into the alleged show runtime before the
- 2:46Speaker 1: new part of the show begins, so we pick up,
- 2:51Speaker 1: like with Zoro, even though that happened last episode. I'm
- 2:56Speaker 1: gonna try and just talk about mainly what's going on
- 3:00Speaker 1: with the title event, but I have to finish up
- 3:06Speaker 1: with Zoro slicing Pika's giant body to pieces and eventually
- 3:12Speaker 1: managing to take him down. And there's a point at
- 3:18Speaker 1: which I think it's Zorro himself who basically says.
- 3:25Speaker 2: Everything rests on Loofy's shoulders now, and.
- 3:32Speaker 1: Yet Zoro seems like he should be able to join
- 3:36Speaker 1: the fight. Still oos Up also seems like mostly fine,
- 3:42Speaker 1: and I understand that really, probably what it is is
- 3:45Speaker 1: that they cannot really defend themselves against Do Flamingo's counterattacks,
- 3:51Speaker 1: so it's probably just not.
- 3:52Speaker 2: Safe for them.
- 3:53Speaker 1: But there was a part of me that was like,
- 3:54Speaker 1: I don't know, guys, you sort of look like you're
- 3:56Speaker 1: still in fighting shape and maybe should be doing something,
- 3:58Speaker 1: but I guess they felt they their part, and I
- 4:01Speaker 1: suppose they did.
- 4:05Speaker 2: So we go back to a flashback.
- 4:08Speaker 1: On that island where Zoro was being taught by Mehawk
- 4:14Speaker 1: and he says something about like your have you ever
- 4:20Speaker 1: destroyed one of your blades or nicked one or shattered one?
- 4:27Speaker 1: And Mehawk tells him, you must carry every nick as
- 4:32Speaker 1: a mark of shame. Any sword can become a black
- 4:37Speaker 1: blade until.
- 4:38Speaker 2: You master this.
- 4:40Speaker 1: No liquor, And I love that he says this as
- 4:44Speaker 1: he's taking a sip of wine and what's her face
- 4:48Speaker 1: is also drinking wine off to the side and just
- 4:50Speaker 1: sort of giggles to herself that he is, you know,
- 4:53Speaker 1: not going to be.
- 4:54Speaker 2: Allowed any.
- 4:56Speaker 1: And then we jump to the present and we see
- 4:59Speaker 1: him look with great satisfaction and pride at the black
- 5:05Speaker 1: blade that he is holding, and yeah it is Saraphin
- 5:10Speaker 1: is in the chat saying padding and I assure you, guys,
- 5:16Speaker 1: the amount of time just spent slowly panning up this blade. Yeah,
- 5:24Speaker 1: padding af It's crazy. So yeah, he is really feeling
- 5:35Speaker 1: himself here and he gets called by oos Up and
- 5:39Speaker 1: it's just like, yeah, buddy, I'm coming up there.
- 5:43Speaker 2: I'm sorry.
- 5:44Speaker 1: There's a comment here also from Saraphim hold on, I
- 5:47Speaker 1: want to see. It's still utterly baffling that, for all
- 5:51Speaker 1: they tried to pat out every episode as much as possible,
- 5:53Speaker 1: they never brought back ending themes during this to easily
- 5:56Speaker 1: kill another two or three minutes per ep. I forgot
- 5:59Speaker 1: about the ending themes, that's true. I wonder why they
- 6:03Speaker 1: don't do that anymore. I forgot all about that, Yeah,
- 6:07Speaker 1: because that now it just immediately goes into like a
- 6:10Speaker 1: preview of the next episode, which it didn't. I think
- 6:13Speaker 1: those used to be there after the ending themes, but
- 6:15Speaker 1: it was very easy for me to skip them because
- 6:19Speaker 1: once the theme started, I pretty much bounced out of
- 6:21Speaker 1: there because I knew now it'll just say the end
- 6:25Speaker 1: and almost instantly start the preview for the next episode.
- 6:28Speaker 1: So I have to like scramble to grab my remote
- 6:32Speaker 1: and shut it off in time so that I don't
- 6:34Speaker 1: get spoiled on anything. And sometimes even then I'll still
- 6:37Speaker 1: catch a little bit of the announcers like opening line,
- 6:39Speaker 1: and be like, God, damn it. So we go back
- 6:44Speaker 1: to the ground to Admiral Eso, who is having the
- 6:46Speaker 1: marines evacuate the civilians, and I said last time that
- 6:52Speaker 1: like everybody would be dead. Well, we then get the
- 6:56Speaker 1: whole closing of the bird cage as well, and I
- 6:59Speaker 1: was just like, there's these people. They didn't ask for
- 7:03Speaker 1: any of this and they are just getting fucking creamed.
- 7:08Speaker 2: So let's see.
- 7:10Speaker 1: We then go to the Tantata and they are here
- 7:16Speaker 1: to fuck up the smile factory. They are like, it's understandable.
- 7:25Speaker 1: The whole thing is slavey with slavery. They were tricked
- 7:29Speaker 1: into it, so they didn't know it was slavery. It
- 7:31Speaker 1: doesn't matter, and so we see that whole place go
- 7:35Speaker 1: up in flames. Now, Trouble is very complacent about this
- 7:41Speaker 1: because he is certain, well, we've got that little chicky
- 7:45Speaker 1: who can just make things whole again, so we can
- 7:48Speaker 1: fix the factory.
- 7:49Speaker 2: It's no big deal.
- 7:50Speaker 1: We still have her on our side, and so I'm
- 7:53Speaker 1: not concerned about it. They think they've won and they've
- 7:55Speaker 1: really done something here, and they haven't. But we cut
- 8:00Speaker 1: instantly from him to her on Leo's back, and just
- 8:06Speaker 1: a reminder, she's not on their side anymore.
- 8:08Speaker 2: Trouble you goon.
- 8:13Speaker 1: So Leo is bringing her to the top of the
- 8:19Speaker 1: flower plateau where Kiros and Rebecca and Robin all are,
- 8:24Speaker 1: and he immediately recognizes Kiros and is just like, oh shit,
- 8:29Speaker 1: you're that badass. Oh and you've rescued the princess.
- 8:34Speaker 2: Wow.
- 8:35Speaker 1: I just never expected to meet you, and you are
- 8:37Speaker 1: even more impressive in person than your statue. The princess, meanwhile,
- 8:43Speaker 1: is like, oh, let me heal you. I can see
- 8:45Speaker 1: that you're really injured, and he says, hey, look, they
- 8:51Speaker 1: told me about your power, but I know that there
- 8:54Speaker 1: probably is like a battery that you're working with and
- 8:57Speaker 1: that it's going to run out. Don't waste it on me.
- 9:00Speaker 2: And she's like, dude, just let me help you.
- 9:04Speaker 1: And he says I'll be fine. I'm conscious, aren't I
- 9:08Speaker 1: And I couldn't help. But wonder if she used her
- 9:14Speaker 1: power on him with his leg grow back. I don't
- 9:18Speaker 1: know how, like to what extent her power works, but I.
- 9:24Speaker 2: Feel like his leg would grow back.
- 9:25Speaker 1: I just feel like that's what happened, would happen. But yeah,
- 9:29Speaker 1: he tells her, there are lots of citizens down there
- 9:31Speaker 1: who are really injured and they are going to need
- 9:33Speaker 1: your help a lot more than I do. And this
- 9:36Speaker 1: is the first time that Mancheri is able to look
- 9:39Speaker 1: out and see just how much terrible damage has been done,
- 9:43Speaker 1: Like the entire landscape of dress Rosa has changed because
- 9:47Speaker 1: everybody is over here manipulating buildings and the earth they
- 9:51Speaker 1: stand on. It's dramatic. She genuinely has a moment of like,
- 9:56Speaker 1: I don't recognize this place like a cat. Believe this
- 10:00Speaker 1: is dress Rosa.
- 10:01Speaker 2: They told me it was bad, but this is way
- 10:03Speaker 2: worse than I expected.
- 10:06Speaker 1: And Kiras is like, look, it is bad, but we're
- 10:10Speaker 1: at the tail end here, and we fucking did it.
- 10:13Speaker 1: We're almost done.
- 10:14Speaker 2: We're almost through it. I hope he's right.
- 10:22Speaker 1: And he says our fate shall be decided by Loofy
- 10:27Speaker 1: at the Royal Palace and just thinks to himself like,
- 10:33Speaker 1: it seems like a lot of pressure for one dude
- 10:38Speaker 1: to have on him, but that's the way it goes sometimes,
- 10:43Speaker 1: And then we jump over to Loofy still in this fight.
- 10:50Speaker 1: Oh no, wait, first, sorry, we check in with Koala
- 10:53Speaker 1: and Sabo. She is telling him like, first of all,
- 10:59Speaker 1: you're you were supposed to be here, and he's like, sorry,
- 11:02Speaker 1: I've been helping some people and I know that you
- 11:06Speaker 1: have handled stuff, but I can't get to you, and
- 11:12Speaker 1: she says, dude, it's not just about me. Loufy is
- 11:17Speaker 1: also in trouble, and immediately after.
- 11:20Speaker 2: Kind of being like, I know, you can handle it whatever.
- 11:23Speaker 1: Once she says like Loufy might be in trouble, He's like,
- 11:25Speaker 1: I'll be right there, and she's just come on really,
- 11:28Speaker 1: And I did think that that was kind of funny.
- 11:31Speaker 1: Her and Sabo's relationship. I can't tell if they're just
- 11:34Speaker 1: like BFFs or if they are romantically involved. I am
- 11:40Speaker 1: kind of hoping it's just BFFs, just because like, there
- 11:44Speaker 1: is something kind of weird to me whenever there's a
- 11:47Speaker 1: couple that takes on too much of each other's look
- 11:50Speaker 1: and personality in a way. And she and Sabo are
- 11:54Speaker 1: basically in like matching outfits, and I just, you know,
- 12:00Speaker 1: there's nothing wrong with like matching. But there's also a
- 12:02Speaker 1: point at which I'm like, Okay, this is have your.
- 12:05Speaker 2: Own identity, you know.
- 12:09Speaker 1: Seraphim says, from what we've seen, all she can do
- 12:12Speaker 1: is accelerate natural healing, though given the whole can repair
- 12:16Speaker 1: a factory. Thing I guess would be if she did
- 12:18Speaker 1: the thing where she drains her own life force to
- 12:19Speaker 1: keep to power up the healing it might work on
- 12:22Speaker 1: his leg. I forgot about the draining her own life
- 12:25Speaker 1: force thing that that was like necessary to do something
- 12:28Speaker 1: particularly huge. So yeah, okay, I forgot all about that.
- 12:35Speaker 1: So this is when Zoro reaches the top of the
- 12:41Speaker 1: plateau that Oossop and company are on, everybody is cheering
- 12:46Speaker 1: for him. It's kind of a fun moment for me because,
- 12:49Speaker 1: like I have to imagine that, out of everybody's battles,
- 12:54Speaker 1: Zoro's is the only one anybody was really able to
- 12:57Speaker 1: see very clearly. So everybody probably got very very invested
- 13:02Speaker 1: in his fight because it was the most visible, both
- 13:05Speaker 1: because Pica was huge and because it was the closest
- 13:09Speaker 1: to them physically. Everything else has been like on the
- 13:11Speaker 1: other side of the plateau at the like on the
- 13:14Speaker 1: other one. And they start applauding him, and he's just like, hey, guys,
- 13:20Speaker 1: I appreciate it, but friendly reminder, the fucking bird cage
- 13:25Speaker 1: is still up. We are not done yet. Do Flamingo
- 13:27Speaker 1: is still alive. So I know that you all are
- 13:32Speaker 1: happy to have a victory, and that's valid, but just
- 13:35Speaker 1: don't count your chickens.
- 13:37Speaker 2: Not yet. We still have stuff to do.
- 13:40Speaker 1: And this is when we go to Lufy and Bellamy,
- 13:43Speaker 1: Bellamy who is insisting on continuing to hit Lufy, and
- 13:47Speaker 1: I swear to.
- 13:48Speaker 2: God, this is so.
- 13:52Speaker 1: Like, Look, it's very very funny to me. This is
- 14:00Speaker 1: the way that Lufy gets hung up because you guys
- 14:02Speaker 1: remember me talking about how we always have to have
- 14:05Speaker 1: Loofy sidelined by something, and for him to be sidelined
- 14:10Speaker 1: by somebody who up to that moment had seemed to
- 14:12Speaker 1: be like his ally and then decides to turn on
- 14:17Speaker 1: him for like really silly reasons. Ordinarily, I think I
- 14:23Speaker 1: would be pretty infuriated by this, and I think that
- 14:26Speaker 1: would be totally legitimate. I think, though, that the reason
- 14:31Speaker 1: that I'm not as pissy about it this time is
- 14:34Speaker 1: because they don't spend very, very very much time on it.
- 14:42Speaker 1: We check in on Lufy and Bellamy and see him
- 14:45Speaker 1: getting his ass beat. The scene lasts like a minute
- 14:49Speaker 1: and then we bounce off of it, and so I
- 14:52Speaker 1: don't feel too like Jesus Christ still.
- 14:58Speaker 2: Now I will add a ca to that.
- 15:02Speaker 1: I will get pretty irritated if it feels like we
- 15:05Speaker 1: are delving too much into.
- 15:07Speaker 2: Flashbacks, which does happen. I just.
- 15:15Speaker 1: The flashbacks like Bellamy keeps having the same ones. I
- 15:26Speaker 1: just feel like we know why, now we don't need
- 15:28Speaker 1: to keep doing this. We've done the flashbacks about Loofy
- 15:32Speaker 1: from Bellamy's POV in this arc at least at least
- 15:39Speaker 1: four times, I'm pretty positive. So that is the one
- 15:44Speaker 1: thing where I'm just like, oh my.
- 15:45Speaker 2: God, I get it.
- 15:47Speaker 1: But I'm starting to really understand, because you guys know,
- 15:50Speaker 1: like how frustrated I will get sometimes where I feel like,
- 15:56Speaker 1: if you're trying to pad things, there's all of this this,
- 15:59Speaker 1: these other more interesting plot points that you don't pursue.
- 16:03Speaker 1: And I have started to understand that part of the
- 16:07Speaker 1: padding is reusing footage. That it's not just about like
- 16:13Speaker 1: we need to draw things out for the sake of
- 16:16Speaker 1: keeping up at the MAGA, but also we need to
- 16:19Speaker 1: reuse animation that was previously used so that we don't
- 16:23Speaker 1: have to pay.
- 16:23Speaker 2: For more animation.
- 16:25Speaker 1: And so in this respect, I'm starting to understand a
- 16:28Speaker 1: lot more why there's just a specific repeat of certain things.
- 16:33Speaker 1: I wish so much that that we could get like
- 16:41Speaker 1: maybe a different voiceover. We could still have the the
- 16:48Speaker 1: you know, same footage, but we would just get new
- 16:52Speaker 1: information via the voiceover and that would make it feel new.
- 16:57Speaker 1: But I don't really know actually whether or not the
- 17:05Speaker 1: like voice actors paying them would be part of the problem.
- 17:08Speaker 1: If it's like you know, in terms of padding, we
- 17:11Speaker 1: also have to make sure that we aren't paying for
- 17:15Speaker 1: another twenty minutes of voice actor or whatever. Maybe that's
- 17:20Speaker 1: part of it. That said, like I said this, this
- 17:24Speaker 1: doesn't bother me as much as it could.
- 17:27Speaker 2: A lot of that is.
- 17:27Speaker 1: Because there are other things that are much more interesting
- 17:31Speaker 1: that they spend.
- 17:31Speaker 2: Much more time on.
- 17:33Speaker 1: But eventually the point we reach here is Lufy yelling
- 17:38Speaker 1: at Bellamy because Belanie keeps trying to frame this is like,
- 17:41Speaker 1: I'm going to be loyal to the end, and Lufy
- 17:46Speaker 1: is like, the fuck you are. This isn't even about
- 17:48Speaker 1: you being loyal, dude. This is about your pride. He
- 17:52Speaker 1: tricked you into doing this and now you're doing the
- 17:55Speaker 1: exact thing he wanted. And Bellamy is like, I mean,
- 18:01Speaker 1: maybe that's true, but oh well, like whatever you call it,
- 18:09Speaker 1: I have determined this is the path I'm going to take.
- 18:14Speaker 1: And if you just want to stand there and let
- 18:16Speaker 1: me beat you up, I'm gonna come at you with
- 18:18Speaker 1: a like killing blow and So Lufy finally puts hockey
- 18:23Speaker 1: up on his arm and Bellamy is coming at him
- 18:27Speaker 1: with hockey on his arm, and he says, thank you
- 18:30Speaker 1: for calling me a friend, and as he comes at Loufy,
- 18:34Speaker 1: Loofy punches him into the floor. The fact that he's
- 18:39Speaker 1: yelling thank you for calling me a friend when Lufy
- 18:41Speaker 1: is like, like, then they are about to just try
- 18:46Speaker 1: and crush each other is weird. It's such a weird moment.
- 18:51Speaker 1: And we get to see the side of his face
- 18:53Speaker 1: with Lufy's like finger imprints on the side of it,
- 18:57Speaker 1: and he says thank you. Now, even a loser like
- 19:02Speaker 1: me has some dignity. And Lufy is very, very angry
- 19:09Speaker 1: at this point and just starts screaming do Flamingo's name.
- 19:13Speaker 1: And that is the end of the episode, So we
- 19:15Speaker 1: go into the next one. Now I have to say, Bellamy,
- 19:20Speaker 1: that was weak. I get what you're doing. I understand
- 19:25Speaker 1: the drive, but also, man, can we just like admit
- 19:31Speaker 1: the fact that you're making him hit somebody that he
- 19:36Speaker 1: considers a friend for your own bullshit. That's a shitty
- 19:41Speaker 1: thing to do. It's just so self absorbed. Setting aside
- 19:45Speaker 1: hurting Lufy, who you call a friend.
- 19:49Speaker 2: That is already very.
- 19:51Speaker 1: Shitty, but let's like, even setting that aside, making Lufy
- 19:56Speaker 1: hit you it's just gross.
- 20:00Speaker 2: I mean, you know what I'm saying. I just was very,
- 20:03Speaker 2: very disappointed in him.
- 20:05Speaker 1: It felt for me like it's just so self absorbed
- 20:10Speaker 1: and self centered. And I understand story wise why we're
- 20:19Speaker 1: doing it. It's fine, but being like, oh now I
- 20:24Speaker 1: get to like go down with some dignity. How about
- 20:28Speaker 1: who fucking cares about your dignity? My dude, how about
- 20:32Speaker 1: get over yourself? You lost enough already, you know.
- 20:36Speaker 2: But no, so.
- 20:39Speaker 1: Let's see when we jump to the next episode.
- 20:43Speaker 2: Uh oh, you add this is the one that starts off.
- 20:46Speaker 1: With law dies, and I was just like, no, I
- 20:49Speaker 1: had a moment. I'll confess I had a moment where
- 20:52Speaker 1: I thought, like, maybe he is dead, but I really
- 20:58Speaker 1: just never truly believed it.
- 21:01Speaker 2: And it's not until the.
- 21:03Speaker 1: Third episode that we get the footage that I'm going
- 21:05Speaker 1: to want to talk about specifically. But at this point,
- 21:10Speaker 1: we have Viola bringing everybody else up to date on
- 21:13Speaker 1: what's going on, that Lufy is going to be facing
- 21:18Speaker 1: off against Do Flamingo, and it's just him and Trouble
- 21:22Speaker 1: that are left She's basically taken Law completely out of
- 21:26Speaker 1: the equation and feels like he's not really part of
- 21:29Speaker 1: this anymore, which I think is like the most damning thing.
- 21:32Speaker 1: If Vila is watching something with her power from Afar
- 21:35Speaker 1: and she has decided that you are doing so badly
- 21:37Speaker 1: she's not even going to count you as a factor,
- 21:39Speaker 1: I feel like, yikekeuse, that's pretty uh, that's pretty rough.
- 21:45Speaker 1: And she's got her eyes closed and is very focused,
- 21:48Speaker 1: and all of a sudden she just yells.
- 21:51Speaker 2: No, I have terrible news.
- 21:54Speaker 1: We're down a man too, And so the fact that
- 21:58Speaker 1: she hadn't brought him up early, she's just like addressing
- 22:02Speaker 1: this here us up is like, man who's hurt, just
- 22:05Speaker 1: fucking tell us. And then it's Trafalgar Law. So everybody,
- 22:10Speaker 1: of course has this big reaction.
- 22:12Speaker 2: We jump back to.
- 22:14Speaker 1: The roof where Treble and Do Flamingo are gathered around Law.
- 22:21Speaker 1: I cannot stand trouble, you guys. He is so gross.
- 22:24Speaker 1: Oh my god, I can't handle it. It's disgusting. And
- 22:30Speaker 1: Law is still on the ground, he's got like a
- 22:35Speaker 1: bunch of holes in his back, and Do Flamingo is saying,
- 22:43Speaker 1: I'm so excited for lufy to get up here and
- 22:45Speaker 1: see that you're dead.
- 22:46Speaker 2: This is going to be very, very funny, and we
- 22:50Speaker 2: jump back in time.
- 22:52Speaker 1: This is a weird thing that I felt unnecessarily confuddled me.
- 23:00Speaker 2: Is that like we'd.
- 23:02Speaker 1: Come here and then we jump back a few minutes ago.
- 23:08Speaker 1: I think that it's just supposed to kind of be like,
- 23:11Speaker 1: oh God, is he really dead? Like that kind of moment.
- 23:16Speaker 1: I just think he could have done it just with
- 23:18Speaker 1: a straightforward storytelling, and we didn't have to do it
- 23:22Speaker 1: this way, you know. Anyway, he gets hit by an
- 23:30Speaker 1: attack from Treble because he's still standing at that point,
- 23:34Speaker 1: and he's like using his sword to hold himself up. Reminder,
- 23:38Speaker 1: he's lost an arm, so if he's holding himself up
- 23:42Speaker 1: with a sword, he's got like no free hand to
- 23:44Speaker 1: even fight with. And once he gets knocked down, do
- 23:49Speaker 1: Flamingo comes over and just sort of gloats over him
- 23:53Speaker 1: for a little while and says, basically, what is it
- 23:58Speaker 1: that you were even thinking?
- 24:00Speaker 2: I And.
- 24:04Speaker 1: I'm gonna be honest here, mostly this whole like arc
- 24:12Speaker 1: I have really been into. But now that we are
- 24:15Speaker 1: down to these people, I think it's beginning to suffer.
- 24:22Speaker 1: I I just I don't even think that it's because
- 24:28Speaker 1: these characters aren't interesting. It's just when you have them
- 24:32Speaker 1: doing the same things over and over, it tricks you
- 24:35Speaker 1: into thinking that they are boring, even though that is
- 24:39Speaker 1: not actually the problem. It's just that they are doing
- 24:44Speaker 1: the same thing over and over again, and so you
- 24:46Speaker 1: are bored. But they aren't boring. It's just that you're
- 24:52Speaker 1: tired of this, you know. So I feel like I
- 24:56Speaker 1: have been getting do Flamingo beating the shit out of
- 25:01Speaker 1: Law and then standing over him and giving a gloating speech,
- 25:07Speaker 1: and then Law kind of fighting back, and then do
- 25:11Speaker 1: Fla Mingo laying him the fuck out again and standing
- 25:15Speaker 1: over him and gloating a little bit more, and then
- 25:18Speaker 1: Law kind of starting to fight back, and then do
- 25:21Speaker 1: Fla Mingo pulling a gun and pointing it at him
- 25:25Speaker 1: and giving a gloating speech again.
- 25:28Speaker 2: It's been.
- 25:31Speaker 1: How many months of my coverage of this arc and
- 25:35Speaker 1: we are still just here with them now. Granted, we
- 25:40Speaker 1: are about to jump into the thing that like the
- 25:43Speaker 1: plan that Law has done, so he had a whole
- 25:48Speaker 1: thing that we didn't know about as viewers. It's just
- 25:53Speaker 1: about to be sprung on us, and so it's meant
- 25:57Speaker 1: to revive our interest as we realize that he hasn't
- 25:59Speaker 1: just been geting his ass kick. There's been like a
- 26:01Speaker 1: method to what he's doing. Granted, however, it's taken too long.
- 26:12Speaker 1: And because it has taken this long, I had that
- 26:20Speaker 1: tuning out issue where I had to rewind because once
- 26:25Speaker 1: I begin to realize, oh, Law was doing something, Oh shit,
- 26:29Speaker 1: I rewound because I had glazed over and not noticed
- 26:33Speaker 1: because we were just continually having do flamingo mock Law
- 26:40Speaker 1: for his his idealism, for his devotion to Korra. He
- 26:48Speaker 1: gives him an offer like I will give you anything
- 26:52Speaker 1: you want for the perpetual youth surgery. You will still die,
- 27:00Speaker 1: but you can make a request of me beforehand and
- 27:04Speaker 1: I'll give you whatever you want. And Law pretends that
- 27:09Speaker 1: he is considering this offer, and he does a I
- 27:14Speaker 1: want my father back, you son of a bitch from
- 27:17Speaker 1: the Princess Bride Nigoa Montoya's speech, except with Cora. I'm like, yeah,
- 27:24Speaker 1: I'd like you to give me something. How about you
- 27:26Speaker 1: bring your fucking brother back to life, and when you're done,
- 27:30Speaker 1: I want you to lick the asses of every last
- 27:33Speaker 1: person in the kingdom, which honestly was very fucking funny.
- 27:39Speaker 1: It would be so amazing if he did decide to
- 27:44Speaker 1: do this, and he did genuinely say that's what he
- 27:47Speaker 1: wanted in return, and I was like, yeah, sure, I'll die,
- 27:51Speaker 1: but you have to do this thing. And if there
- 27:55Speaker 1: were some sort of magic in place to make Flamingo
- 28:00Speaker 1: have to follow through on the deal that he made,
- 28:03Speaker 1: I would never stop laughing. I just think that that
- 28:06Speaker 1: would be so funny. So yeah, he says, I can't
- 28:14Speaker 1: believe that you think I'm no match for me, that
- 28:16Speaker 1: you're I'm no match for you. It's all in the bag.
- 28:23Speaker 1: When you lose, don't act shocked. The straw hats have
- 28:29Speaker 1: managed to make countless miracles happen, and someone like you
- 28:33Speaker 1: has never had a chance at stopping them. And if
- 28:36Speaker 1: you think that you can get Caesar back, like, give
- 28:40Speaker 1: me a fucking break, And trouble is over here saying
- 28:45Speaker 1: show some respect. That's Dophie you're talking to. And I
- 28:49Speaker 1: could not imagine watching these dudes trying to kill each
- 28:53Speaker 1: other and then having the nerve to be like, how
- 28:55Speaker 1: about you.
- 28:56Speaker 2: Have some respect?
- 28:57Speaker 1: He was just trying to kill him. He can't talk shit.
- 29:01Speaker 1: He tried to kill him, fine, but God forbid he'd
- 29:05Speaker 1: be rude about it.
- 29:07Speaker 2: What trouble. Shut the fuck up. The adults are talking.
- 29:11Speaker 2: Stop it.
- 29:14Speaker 1: So as he is like shit talking, Do Flamingo loses
- 29:18Speaker 1: his temper and he pulls the trigger on his pistol
- 29:21Speaker 1: and he shoots Law and we see Lago down face first,
- 29:25Speaker 1: and all of this blood begins pouring out. Do Flamingo
- 29:29Speaker 1: is just like, that's what you fucking get. You could
- 29:32Speaker 1: not keep your mouth shut. So here we are and
- 29:36Speaker 1: Law is beginning to get to like push himself up
- 29:40Speaker 1: to his knees, and this is when Don Flamingo mentions
- 29:46Speaker 1: that his jacket says chorusone on it, and I was like,
- 29:49Speaker 1: how are you only just noticing this? He don't try
- 29:53Speaker 1: and tell me that he noticed before, because I don't
- 29:57Speaker 1: believe it the whole way that this is animated. His
- 30:00Speaker 1: brows clear, and there's a look of genuine shock on
- 30:05Speaker 1: his face as he says, your jacket, like he had.
- 30:07Speaker 2: Not noticed this before, So I.
- 30:10Speaker 1: Think that he truly hadn't, which is bonkers. Frankly, like,
- 30:20Speaker 1: come on now, this whole time and you never even noticed.
- 30:26Speaker 1: I am so sorry, but I do not believe you.
- 30:29Speaker 1: So This is like, as we find out later part
- 30:34Speaker 1: of when the trick is taking place. But yeah, Do
- 30:37Speaker 1: Flamingo is like, oh are you mocking me? And the
- 30:41Speaker 1: heart pirates and did you think I wouldn't noticed? And
- 30:48Speaker 1: I thought, apparently you didn't notice, my guy, because once
- 30:56Speaker 1: again the reaction is extremely much that you just noticed.
- 31:03Speaker 1: You've been fighting for how long? And you yeah, I
- 31:07Speaker 1: do think you didn't notice. You refuse to accept the
- 31:12Speaker 1: heart seat then you bear the mark of the heart anyway.
- 31:16Speaker 1: Why And as he's saying this, he keeps shooting Law
- 31:21Speaker 1: in the back. He shoots him I think a total
- 31:24Speaker 1: of seven times and eventually just runs out of ammo.
- 31:29Speaker 1: He would have he keeps pulling the trigger and nothing happens,
- 31:32Speaker 1: so he would have kept shooting him more and more.
- 31:35Speaker 1: We see the puddle of blood come out from underneath
- 31:39Speaker 1: Law's body and we have the flashback to everything with
- 31:46Speaker 1: Cora and sorry, I'm trying to jump ahead here, because
- 31:52Speaker 1: this is when Lufy turns up and he at first
- 31:58Speaker 1: does not see what's going on with Law. So Lufy
- 32:02Speaker 1: starts to attack Do Flamingo with like one of his
- 32:07Speaker 1: big giant hockey fists, but dolfla Mingo uses that spider
- 32:12Speaker 1: web spell and catches the whole thing. So Lufi does
- 32:16Speaker 1: Gum Gum hawk gatling. I'm assuming that hawk gatling just
- 32:23Speaker 1: means that he's got hockey on his fists, so it's
- 32:26Speaker 1: like the gatling just next level gatling, I think, right.
- 32:32Speaker 1: So he begins to use that, but it's sort of
- 32:35Speaker 1: weird because it felt for me like he was just
- 32:37Speaker 1: punching at the ground. It didn't seem like he was
- 32:40Speaker 1: even really aiming at Do Flamingo. And maybe it's just
- 32:42Speaker 1: that he missed, but it felt in the moment like
- 32:46Speaker 1: he wasn't even really aiming for him. It was very
- 32:50Speaker 1: I don't know, it felt very performative somehow. And then
- 32:53Speaker 1: all of a sudden, there's this huge like white curl
- 32:58Speaker 1: that comes up behind him, and I call it a
- 32:59Speaker 1: curl because it's like a bunch of strands of hair
- 33:02Speaker 1: that are all sort of gathered up into like a
- 33:05Speaker 1: lock of hair, and I think Do Flamingo calls it
- 33:10Speaker 1: white break or something like that. Loofy dodges away from this,
- 33:19Speaker 1: and this is when he sees Trafalgar laying there covered
- 33:23Speaker 1: in blood, and he basically turns to do Flamingo and
- 33:28Speaker 1: is like, I Am going to fucking get you for this,
- 33:31Speaker 1: and you know, fight, fight, fight, fight, fight. A little
- 33:34Speaker 1: bit more blocking, we jump back to Violet, who is
- 33:37Speaker 1: continuing to update everybody on what is going on. Riku meanwhile,
- 33:42Speaker 1: is you know, like attempting to help everybody on the
- 33:48Speaker 1: ground and notices that something weird is happening. And this
- 33:53Speaker 1: is when we start to see that the bird cage
- 33:57Speaker 1: wires are starting to move inward. There are all these
- 34:02Speaker 1: people who, in an effort to get away from the
- 34:05Speaker 1: very dangerous fighting, have gone to the outskirts of town.
- 34:09Speaker 1: Now they are right in the path of these fucking
- 34:13Speaker 1: wires that are moving inward. So the episode ends with
- 34:17Speaker 1: everybody like starting to see it and freaking out and
- 34:21Speaker 1: then beginning to run inward to the center of the city.
- 34:30Speaker 1: We get like a couple of moments with animals that
- 34:34Speaker 1: have been like rescued or are chained or whatever, and
- 34:38Speaker 1: I'm just like, how come you keep showing me these
- 34:40Speaker 1: sad animals? It makes me very sad, and reminder that
- 34:47Speaker 1: like bringing these in it doesn't just slice things, it's
- 34:50Speaker 1: knocking whole buildings over and stuff. So where it does that,
- 34:56Speaker 1: there are fires that are breaking out, and it's just
- 35:02Speaker 1: you know what dol Flamingo's goal is is to kill
- 35:07Speaker 1: absolutely everybody. He doesn't give a fuck. He says later
- 35:11Speaker 1: something like I'm not gonna spare one rotten life, which
- 35:14Speaker 1: I kind of did like that wording rotten life, because,
- 35:20Speaker 1: as he puts it, like everybody here is going to
- 35:22Speaker 1: die anyway, so I may as well just get it
- 35:24Speaker 1: over with. I'm changing the rules on all of this
- 35:28Speaker 1: and playing a different game, and Lufy is like, I
- 35:33Speaker 1: cannot believe you're still calling this a game. Dol Flamingo says,
- 35:38Speaker 1: just listen, the bird cage that surrounds the kingdom started shrinking,
- 35:43Speaker 1: pulling into the center bit by bit. It's so funny
- 35:47Speaker 1: the passive language he uses. Instead of just saying like
- 35:50Speaker 1: I'm doing a thing, He's like it has started happening,
- 35:54Speaker 1: as if it's like completely out of his hands. So
- 35:58Speaker 1: as Lufy had been about to attack him at the
- 36:01Speaker 1: end of the last episode, Law had whispered to him, Lufy, wait,
- 36:07Speaker 1: I have a plan. I just want to point out that,
- 36:11Speaker 1: he says that the episode ends, and then we jump
- 36:14Speaker 1: into this episode and go more than halfway through it
- 36:18Speaker 1: before we finally find out what the fuck he's talking about,
- 36:21Speaker 1: which is very fucking irritating. So Lufy is.
- 36:32Speaker 2: Like just telling do Fla.
- 36:34Speaker 1: Mingo because you know, Doffel Mingo keeps trying to be
- 36:37Speaker 1: like it's over, give up, and Mufy just keeps being like,
- 36:39Speaker 1: I'm gonna kill you, and he's like, come on, it's done.
- 36:42Speaker 1: They're all gonna die, just stop, but I'm gonna kill
- 36:46Speaker 1: you though, And finally dulfl Mingo's like, I really feel
- 36:49Speaker 1: like you're not listening to me, and he starts to
- 36:54Speaker 1: uh when I say he, I mean, do Fla Mingo
- 36:58Speaker 1: go after Lufy using that like rainbow string attack, which
- 37:03Speaker 1: is actually really really cool looking, And as he is
- 37:08Speaker 1: shooting these like balls of thread at Loofy and Lufy
- 37:13Speaker 1: is coming toward him doing a gum gum, all of
- 37:16Speaker 1: a sudden there's a shambles and here's law and he's
- 37:22Speaker 1: using Gamma.
- 37:23Speaker 2: Blade I think is what he calls it, and it.
- 37:30Speaker 1: For some reason, and I'm not totally sure why this
- 37:32Speaker 1: attack in particular works in a way that Lufy's wouldn't
- 37:37Speaker 1: have worked. But he slices into do Flamingo's chest and says,
- 37:45Speaker 1: this will destroy your body from the inside out, and
- 37:48Speaker 1: it's like a huge green electric like a bolt of
- 37:54Speaker 1: lightning that he plants into his chest. Do Flamingo is
- 37:59Speaker 1: clearly very badly injured by this.
- 38:01Speaker 2: A bunch of.
- 38:02Speaker 1: Blood comes pouring out of his mouth and he falls down.
- 38:05Speaker 1: Trouble is over there freaking out because he thought his
- 38:09Speaker 1: boss was infallible, And this is when Law says, all
- 38:16Speaker 1: I did was in preparation for this moment. So we
- 38:19Speaker 1: go back in time to the moment when Law gets
- 38:22Speaker 1: shot the first time and falls on his stomach, and
- 38:29Speaker 1: we see him just thinking that wasn't enough to kill me.
- 38:36Speaker 1: He does a shambles with another dude who is unconscious
- 38:42Speaker 1: a little ways away, and we hear Do Flamingo yelling
- 38:48Speaker 1: about the heart pirates again, but apparently there's another dude
- 38:54Speaker 1: in Do Flamingo's place.
- 38:58Speaker 2: Now.
- 38:59Speaker 1: It's so weird moment because like, this is what I'm
- 39:03Speaker 1: talking about describing the animation. I have talked about this
- 39:09Speaker 1: difficulty before. It's hard for me sometimes to tell when
- 39:14Speaker 1: something is meant to be a like a narrative, not trick,
- 39:24Speaker 1: what's the word I want? When I'm supposed to see
- 39:27Speaker 1: the animation as just being a sort of symbolic representation
- 39:31Speaker 1: of what's happening versus when I'm supposed to take what
- 39:35Speaker 1: it looks like literally.
- 39:38Speaker 2: But what it looks like to me is that Law.
- 39:45Speaker 1: Actually sends his whole body into the other guy's clothes
- 39:52Speaker 1: and then sends that guy's body into his clothes. Now,
- 39:58Speaker 1: it looked like we were seeing his face when he
- 40:01Speaker 1: was being continually shot, But I think what we're supposed
- 40:07Speaker 1: to interpret is that because Law is face down, it's
- 40:12Speaker 1: the other guy's face. And do Flamingo is just so
- 40:16Speaker 1: agitated at this point that he doesn't notice he isn't
- 40:21Speaker 1: shooting Law, that he is shooting this other guy. And
- 40:28Speaker 1: Law says to this dude, sorry for taking your body,
- 40:34Speaker 1: but I'll patch you up later, which this man has
- 40:40Speaker 1: been shot seven times in the back. That man is dead, right,
- 40:48Speaker 1: Like that's just he just did like he should be dead.
- 40:53Speaker 1: I guess when Law goes back in to the body
- 41:01Speaker 1: his own body, or like into his own clothes, the
- 41:04Speaker 1: holes from the bullets and the blood are all still there,
- 41:10Speaker 1: but the gunshot wounds are not there. So yeah, this
- 41:15Speaker 1: dude is somewhere else with a totally intact sweater, but
- 41:20Speaker 1: seven gunshot wounds that have gone through his Tourso so
- 41:25Speaker 1: this is when Lufy starts to freak out and be like,
- 41:28Speaker 1: I'm about to get you, bitch, and Law tells him
- 41:32Speaker 1: listen carefully, straw hat I have a plan. Don't turn around.
- 41:36Speaker 1: I have a plan. And for me, this is the
- 41:43Speaker 1: most unbelievable part of the plan that Lufy would listen
- 41:49Speaker 1: to him. We have seen the way that Lufy behaves
- 41:54Speaker 1: when somebody tells him that they have a carefully laid
- 41:56Speaker 1: plan before. Now I'm going to go ahead and say
- 42:00Speaker 1: that Lufy is just so relieved that Law is alive
- 42:05Speaker 1: that he is taken by surprise and made to behave
- 42:10Speaker 1: in a different fashion than his character would normally dictate.
- 42:17Speaker 1: But the loofy that I know would have attacked O
- 42:21Speaker 1: Flamingo anyway, it would not like the way this whole
- 42:24Speaker 1: thing would. And obviously the point is that Lufy does
- 42:27Speaker 1: attack him so that Law can shambles him. But like,
- 42:30Speaker 1: I don't see Lufy actually pausing even for a moment
- 42:34Speaker 1: to listen. So we go back to the present where
- 42:39Speaker 1: Law has do Flamingo like bent over backward and almost
- 42:48Speaker 1: laid out from this injury, and he says to Law,
- 42:53Speaker 1: you think I won't kill you anyway, and he pulls
- 42:57Speaker 1: up this uh, very faint grid of threads, which I'm
- 43:04Speaker 1: assuming he is just gonna like shove through Law's face.
- 43:10Speaker 1: And as he is saying that, Lufy says, did you
- 43:13Speaker 1: forget about me? And he does gum gum jet stamp,
- 43:20Speaker 1: which I don't remember having seen that one before. Maybe
- 43:23Speaker 1: it's not new, but I just didn't remember it, and
- 43:26Speaker 1: he kicks do Flamingo in the solar plexus and sends
- 43:31Speaker 1: him skidding all the way across the roof. Treble, by
- 43:34Speaker 1: the way, is just like, oh my god, are you okay?
- 43:37Speaker 1: But Treuble isn't getting in the fight. This was something
- 43:41Speaker 1: that irritated the shit out of me. Now I accept
- 43:47Speaker 1: Treuble is just meant to be such a hero worshiper
- 43:51Speaker 1: that he doesn't think he needs to. He's not worried
- 43:54Speaker 1: about his boss. It's just him being there and just
- 44:00Speaker 1: commentating and not doing anything to even like it would
- 44:04Speaker 1: be one thing if it were still a one on one,
- 44:10Speaker 1: but now we've got two guys up here, and I
- 44:13Speaker 1: feel like Treble could be jumping in to stop Loofy
- 44:19Speaker 1: off to the side, for example, just tripping him up
- 44:22Speaker 1: and it would not be considered interference. It would just
- 44:25Speaker 1: be him helping out in a like a I want
- 44:29Speaker 1: to be involved kind of way, you know. But regardless,
- 44:33Speaker 1: Trouble because he is not participating, is like still extremely
- 44:40Speaker 1: much a factor that we need to consider. Because he
- 44:43Speaker 1: is in total fighting shape right now. There is nothing
- 44:49Speaker 1: wrong with him that I can see, like I don't.
- 44:50Speaker 1: I can't tell that there's even an injury. So they
- 44:54Speaker 1: are wholly focused on Do Flamingo, which makes sense because
- 45:01Speaker 1: he does seem like Trouble would be somebody who as
- 45:04Speaker 1: soon as Do Flamingo is fully taken out, trouble would
- 45:07Speaker 1: just break. But I don't know, I just feel like
- 45:12Speaker 1: we're sort of discounting Trouble and maybe we don't want
- 45:17Speaker 1: to do that. So Law starts to drag himself toward
- 45:24Speaker 1: Do Flamingo because Lufi had been about to do a
- 45:28Speaker 1: final attack to take Do Flamingo down, and Law stops him.
- 45:32Speaker 1: We have a big flashback of all of these moments
- 45:35Speaker 1: with Kra and he says, it's up to me. I
- 45:39Speaker 1: have to be the one to do it, and he
- 45:42Speaker 1: drags himself over and forces himself to his feet. He
- 45:45Speaker 1: could barely stand up the students in some bad shape,
- 45:49Speaker 1: and the end of the episode is just him getting
- 45:52Speaker 1: ready to attack. He had done a huge room in
- 45:59Speaker 1: order to do those other uh what do you call it,
- 46:02Speaker 1: the other shambles so that they didn't notice, and right
- 46:06Speaker 1: here he does a smaller room just between him and
- 46:11Speaker 1: Do Flamingo. As he does this, the shade of Cora
- 46:17Speaker 1: sort of pops up in his mind and he says,
- 46:20Speaker 1: it's over Do Flamingo and.
- 46:21Speaker 2: That's the end of the episode.
- 46:25Speaker 1: So that was very annoying that it's like, I don't
- 46:30Speaker 1: even get to see that attack the end of the episode.
- 46:34Speaker 2: It just.
- 46:36Speaker 1: This the drawing it out here. Now I find that
- 46:40Speaker 1: this has seemed to happen with certain arcs. It's all
- 46:44Speaker 1: going along so well, and even though there's definitely patting,
- 46:47Speaker 1: I'm still enjoying myself. And then once we get to
- 46:49Speaker 1: the end, and like the main the big bad fight
- 46:54Speaker 1: is when it starts to like truly fall apart for me.
- 46:57Speaker 1: And that's pretty much where I'm at right now. Is okay,
- 47:01Speaker 1: can we fucking wrap this up?
- 47:02Speaker 2: Please?
- 47:02Speaker 1: Because it's just the same flashbacks about Cora over and
- 47:07Speaker 1: over again, flashbacks from Bellamy about Loofy, over and over
- 47:11Speaker 1: again enough already, and I have no doubt that, like
- 47:15Speaker 1: next episode, Law is not going to get to lay
- 47:17Speaker 1: the smack down on Dol Flamingo. Probably he's gonna get
- 47:20Speaker 1: interrupted or do Flamingo is not gonna be as badly
- 47:23Speaker 1: heard as he seemed like, and he can fight back
- 47:25Speaker 1: after all, or Trouble's gonna step in or something. So
- 47:28Speaker 1: I do not anticipate this being wrapped up in the
- 47:30Speaker 1: next episodes. But maybe I'm wrong, and I would be
- 47:34Speaker 1: delighted to be wrong. I hope I am, but that's
- 47:36Speaker 1: what I'm anticipating. Oh Saraphim says, I always figured Sabo
- 47:42Speaker 1: and Koala looking so similar was more a sort of
- 47:45Speaker 1: revolutionary army motif thing more than them sharing the same
- 47:49Speaker 1: fashion sense thing. Okay, that would make sense. We haven't
- 47:53Speaker 1: really seen the rest of the army that I can recall,
- 47:56Speaker 1: so I didn't think about that. But that would make sense.
- 48:02Speaker 1: Bellamy is an idiot, but at least he acknowledges he's
- 48:05Speaker 1: an idiot. I have such a mixed feelings about that
- 48:08Speaker 1: because I I do appreciate self awareness, but self awareness
- 48:14Speaker 1: when it does not come with a change in behavior,
- 48:18Speaker 1: feels like very useless. You know, the did you think
- 48:22Speaker 1: I wouldn't notice? Is more about Law calling his crew
- 48:25Speaker 1: the heart pirates since Corizone is Spanish for heart. I mean,
- 48:32Speaker 1: but still I don't know, me like it just the
- 48:40Speaker 1: reaction that he has when he sees his jacket.
- 48:45Speaker 2: It just felt like.
- 48:47Speaker 1: That was him being like, your jacket, Oh my god, Corazone.
- 48:51Speaker 1: And I'm like, he's been wearing that jacket for fucking
- 48:54Speaker 1: since we first met him, and now you're looking at
- 48:56Speaker 1: it like I can't believe that, Like you had to
- 48:58Speaker 1: have seen that before him, like eleven times. You know,
- 49:03Speaker 1: I don't know. Whatever, it does not matter. Hawk attacks
- 49:07Speaker 1: are geared to plus hockey okay, and the surface says, yeah,
- 49:12Speaker 1: that I'll patch.
- 49:13Speaker 2: You up later.
- 49:13Speaker 1: Thing is odd and might be a dub thing a
- 49:16Speaker 1: mix of surprise and not actually having to stick to
- 49:19Speaker 1: the plan for more than like ten seconds. Oh, regarding
- 49:22Speaker 1: Lufy actually following Law's instructions, Yeah, that's a good point.
- 49:27Speaker 1: Is that, like he tells him only an instant before
- 49:32Speaker 1: he does the thing that he's planning on doing, so
- 49:35Speaker 1: Lufy really just doesn't get a chance to completely fuck
- 49:38Speaker 1: it up because probably if he had told him any
- 49:40Speaker 1: earlier than that that would have been a wrap.
- 49:43Speaker 2: It would have just not worked.
- 49:45Speaker 1: So maybe that's growth on Law's part that he has
- 49:51Speaker 1: started to realize I can't trust Loofy, and so I
- 49:56Speaker 1: can't tell him anything that he is meant to do
- 49:59Speaker 1: more more than a split second before he's meant to.
- 50:02Speaker 2: Do it, because.
- 50:05Speaker 1: Probably that is the way to handle Loofy. You know,
- 50:10Speaker 1: just a theory there, but I do kind of like
- 50:12Speaker 1: that idea. So that is the end of the three episodes.
- 50:19Speaker 1: And once again I find myself very short on time.
- 50:24Speaker 1: And when I say short on time, I don't mean
- 50:26Speaker 1: like I don't have enough time left. I mean it's
- 50:28Speaker 1: only fifty minutes and I'm done. But the last few
- 50:33Speaker 1: episodes have just been a lot of repetitive animation, dialogue,
- 50:40Speaker 1: whatever filler. So I feel like I've talked about everything
- 50:45Speaker 1: that needs talking about. I don't feel like I've given
- 50:48Speaker 1: anything too short of shrift, and there's really not that
- 50:52Speaker 1: much happening. It's sort of funny because Florian got in
- 50:55Speaker 1: touch with me after our joint episode and asked me,
- 51:01Speaker 1: how do you feel about still doing three episodes at
- 51:03Speaker 1: a time. Do you think maybe I should slow it down?
- 51:06Speaker 1: And at the time I was like, I think it's
- 51:08Speaker 1: still working fine. You know, I was sort of willing
- 51:12Speaker 1: to defer to his judgment, but I was feeling like
- 51:15Speaker 1: it's not a big deal. And then these last two episodes,
- 51:18Speaker 1: I'm like, oh my god, thank god we did three.
- 51:20Speaker 1: We could have done four, probably because it is just
- 51:23Speaker 1: so much of the same thing over and over. But
- 51:29Speaker 1: I don't have anything more to say about it, really,
- 51:31Speaker 1: so I could stretch this out by just sort of
- 51:35Speaker 1: guessing what's going to happen, but I don't everybody like
- 51:40Speaker 1: the straw hats when do Flamingo gets taken out, I
- 51:45Speaker 1: don't know what else. I don't even know how much
- 51:48Speaker 1: dofl Mingo is gonna go down, Like I would like
- 51:50Speaker 1: him too for the sake of law, but he is
- 51:55Speaker 1: somewhat protected by the Marines, and I don't know how
- 51:58Speaker 1: far that extends, and maybe he does not get handled
- 52:04Speaker 1: completely properly. That would be frustrating but also believable and
- 52:11Speaker 1: also a reminder we still have not checked in with
- 52:16Speaker 1: Nami or Sangy or Chopper or Brooke, for it's got
- 52:23Speaker 1: to be like four months since we've seen them. I
- 52:30Speaker 1: would like some of that, please. We need to bring
- 52:34Speaker 1: them into the folds here because come now it's time.
- 52:40Speaker 1: So all right, I'm gonna wrap this up. Thank you
- 52:44Speaker 1: guys again for hanging out with me. I appreciate you all.
- 52:47Speaker 1: Thank you to Michael again for commissioning this episode. Hope
- 52:50Speaker 1: y'all are enjoying the coverage, and until next time, total loom, motherfuckers.
- 53:25Speaker 1: That was an unspoiled network Pat
