We should be teaching about gumption, not with the right answers

Almost all fields in #education, presume that there is a right answer. As a consequence, we often teach (and research) that there is a single answer, or at least a better answer. Regression — the workhorse of science — presumes that there is a single best answer. You also here “if you simply just follow these six easy steps..., it will be amazing.” In my life experience, which doesn’t mean much, there’s never really a right answer. It’s just a big mess.
