- 0:08Speaker 1: Now back to the Mark Simone Show on w o R. Hey,
- 0:13Speaker 1: let's take some calls. Let's go to Roger, a story
- 0:17Speaker 1: of Queen's Roger, how you doing.
- 0:20Speaker 2: Good? How about you?
- 0:21Speaker 3: Let me check? Not bad?
- 0:23Speaker 1: Not bad? What'd you want to say, Roger?
- 0:25Speaker 2: That's good?
- 0:26Speaker 1: Yeah, a little bit of good news by one poll.
- 0:31Speaker 2: At last the phonic it looks like she's a point.
- 0:36Speaker 1: Yeah, no, wait a poll. A poll wouldn't mean anything.
- 0:39Speaker 1: It's over a year away. Poole wouldn't mean anything right now,
- 0:42Speaker 1: but it's that's next year, a year from now. We
- 0:46Speaker 1: hope she wins. But let's go to Let's go to
- 0:49Speaker 1: Stuart in South Carolina. Stuart, how you doing, hey, Mark.
- 0:54Speaker 4: You know, anytime you hear any politician talking about sending
- 1:00Speaker 4: social workers with greae off, you have to know that
- 1:03Speaker 4: they have no clue what in the world they're talking about.
- 1:06Speaker 4: Any messer's call can go go bad in seconds, I
- 1:09Speaker 4: mean turned deadly in seconds. That helster has to worry
- 1:13Speaker 4: about protecting the social worker and protecting himself in the
- 1:17Speaker 4: absolute nightmare. They have no clue what they're doing it.
- 1:21Speaker 4: Any social worker would have is in their minds to want.
- 1:23Speaker 2: To do that.
- 1:24Speaker 1: No, No, they don't want to do it. They don't
- 1:26Speaker 1: want any part of that. But the good point Stewart,
- 1:29Speaker 1: that's another thing, not only as the social worker in danger,
- 1:32Speaker 1: but now the cops got to protect one more person. So,
- 1:36Speaker 1: as Ray Kelly has pointed out, nobody knows more about
- 1:39Speaker 1: the NYPD than he does. Through the decades, they have
- 1:42Speaker 1: tried this out a number of times, having social workers
- 1:45Speaker 1: respond to domestic violence. They have tried it out every
- 1:48Speaker 1: possible way, and it absolutely doesn't work. In fact, it's
- 1:53Speaker 1: extremely dangerous for the social worker, and none of them
- 1:57Speaker 1: want to do this stuff. Let's go to uh, let's
- 1:59Speaker 1: go to lou and Union, New Jersey. Lou, how you.
- 2:02Speaker 3: Doing, Yeah, Mark, did you know that the guy who
- 2:05Speaker 3: owned FedEx passed away?
- 2:07Speaker 1: Oh? Yeah, I knew the guy, Fred Smith. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 2:11Speaker 3: He had a two couple of hearts from the Vietnam
- 2:14Speaker 3: War and he was worked about fifty billion.
- 2:16Speaker 1: Dollars that he had that much in his golf pants.
- 2:20Speaker 1: He read a lot of money. Now, he was a
- 2:22Speaker 1: wonderful guy. In fact, if you look at my Instagram.
- 2:24Speaker 1: There's a picture of us together from oh Well, a
- 2:27Speaker 1: couple of months ago. Yeah, fred Smith a great guy.
- 2:30Speaker 1: He started FedEx, he dreamed up the whole thing, he
- 2:33Speaker 1: built it. He had something like eight hundred thousand employees.
- 2:37Speaker 1: He was running the most complex operation in the world.
- 2:40Speaker 1: Let's go to at Vincent and Brooklyn Vincent.
- 2:43Speaker 3: What do you think I thought it. Curtis did a
- 2:46Speaker 3: very very good job last night. I thought Mondami was
- 2:51Speaker 3: an absolute fool. What he was talking about.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Oh, the poor prostitutes on Roosevelt Avenue. It would be
- 2:59Speaker 2: a double crime if we're going to prosecute people who
- 3:04Speaker 2: were just holing to make a living. Well, Hello, dude,
- 3:08Speaker 2: you're not talking about the fact that a lot of
- 3:10Speaker 2: these women are taking uber or lifts to get to
- 3:14Speaker 2: the point where they tricked. And not only that, you're
- 3:17Speaker 2: not talking about the fact that in this day and age,
- 3:20Speaker 2: these people could be spreading venereal diseases. Stewart from South
- 3:26Speaker 2: Carolina is one hundred percent correct, and Curtis pointed this
- 3:31Speaker 2: out about the danger you're imposing upon a social worker
- 3:37Speaker 2: that has to go out with the empire ripd. I
- 3:41Speaker 2: saw that in the fifties they used they tried that
- 3:44Speaker 2: in the fifties. I remember there was a nut job
- 3:47Speaker 2: throwing stuff out the wind and the woman was out
- 3:50Speaker 2: of a bird and on a Sunday, two cops and
- 3:55Speaker 2: two doctors came from Bellevue to put this woman in
- 4:00Speaker 2: a straight jacket. And thank god it was only a
- 4:03Speaker 2: crazy woman who didn't have access to a gun or
- 4:07Speaker 2: something like that. But still, it's right. They did away
- 4:10Speaker 2: with that a long time ago, and nobody oh Mandami
- 4:16Speaker 2: were citing as paradigms of district attorneys Alvin Bragg and
- 4:22Speaker 2: Roberto Gonzalez of Brooklyn, who were not prosecuting prostitution cases.
- 4:29Speaker 2: Usually these women who were involved in that are also
- 4:33Speaker 2: involved in other things. I better. If you looked in
- 4:36Speaker 2: their bag, you're gonna find drugs. You might even find guns,
- 4:40Speaker 2: knives or whatever. And what about the pimps who were
- 4:45Speaker 2: controlling these women, They're usually involved in other stuff. But
- 4:50Speaker 2: this is the answer we got from Mandami. Oh Eric Adam,
- 4:55Speaker 2: Alvin Bragg and Roberto Gonzales says it's a double crime
- 5:00Speaker 2: to prosecute these women. These women need job training, These
- 5:05Speaker 2: women need a night in lock up. That's what they need.
- 5:09Speaker 1: Well, sounds like they've had both. But Vincent, great call,
- 5:12Speaker 1: great point, Thanks for calling. I saw Eric Adams last
- 5:15Speaker 1: night at the Al Smith dinner. He looked he always
- 5:17Speaker 1: looks happy, but he looked much happier now, much much
- 5:20Speaker 1: happier to be totally out of this mess and not
- 5:23Speaker 1: have to be going through all of this right now. Hey,
- 5:27Speaker 1: when we come back, we'll talk to Ann Coulter. I hope,
- 5:29Speaker 1: I hope she knows we switched to Friday. But we'll
- 5:32Speaker 1: talk to her in a moment on seven to ten
- 5:34Speaker 1: wor
