- 0:08Speaker 1: Advice for sure. It's time lower lower, lower, lower low.
- 0:16Speaker 1: Welcome to the not even nice show of your host
- 0:18Speaker 1: throm Shooter, and it's Friday, which means idear friend Cory
- 0:21Speaker 1: Andrew joins us one of my favorites. Hey, Corey, are
- 0:23Speaker 1: you there? I am here with bells when you say that, yes, giggles.
- 0:29Speaker 1: So it's a miracle that's a show today. So we
- 0:31Speaker 1: always make sure that we do post a show every day,
- 0:34Speaker 1: five days a week. I don't think we've mess missed
- 0:36Speaker 1: many over the last four or five years. But today
- 0:39Speaker 1: I was really nervous because yesterday I was called to
- 0:42Speaker 1: jury duty. I know, I never traded. The hardest thing
- 0:49Speaker 1: about it for me was getting there, being there at
- 0:52Speaker 1: nine o'clock. You have to be on time. You can't
- 0:55Speaker 1: play trials, so I had to. I didn't quite know
- 0:57Speaker 1: where I was going. It was all the way downtown.
- 0:59Speaker 1: I never go to that part of town, so I
- 1:01Speaker 1: left here early. I was going to pre record today's show,
- 1:04Speaker 1: but lucky me, I don't have to because I got
- 1:06Speaker 1: off after one day. They sent us all home. I
- 1:10Speaker 1: can't believe it. You get there, Yeah, I got there
- 1:12Speaker 1: at nine. Watched a video about America and just oh,
- 1:16Speaker 1: I loved it. I felt like university. And you know,
- 1:19Speaker 1: I sat right at the front of the class with
- 1:21Speaker 1: my ye like a little brat. The whole class looked
- 1:25Speaker 1: at me like that. I watched the video. I was
- 1:29Speaker 1: the only one that raised my hand and asked a question.
- 1:32Speaker 2: What was the question? Do you record?
- 1:33Speaker 1: My question was is the jury duty consecutive days? Or
- 1:39Speaker 1: might we missed? Because I was one of the question
- 1:44Speaker 1: and they said, no, it can be. It can be consecutive,
- 1:46Speaker 1: but it can be every other day. There's more rules
- 1:49Speaker 1: or right. I think what happened. I think I got
- 1:51Speaker 1: lucky because next week's Thanksgiving, so none of the judges
- 1:55Speaker 1: really wanted to work. I think I'm suspicious, suspecious and
- 2:00Speaker 1: we it's once again, it's always about celebrities for us,
- 2:02Speaker 1: isn't it. We have seen so many celebrity trials in
- 2:06Speaker 1: that court house? Did Donald Trump like? We've seen them
- 2:09Speaker 1: walk through those halls, retracing their steps at the intermission?
- 2:15Speaker 1: Is that what is called the break? The lunch break,
- 2:17Speaker 1: the intermission, the lunch break out a little nose of rowd.
- 2:22Speaker 1: I got told off by a policeman. What are you
- 2:24Speaker 1: doing there? I said, Oh, I'm just lost, sir. I
- 2:27Speaker 1: was nosing all and then I would love to have
- 2:31Speaker 1: taken a picture like a tiktoki video in the court room.
- 2:35Speaker 3: Oh my, Godey able to trace you down and then
- 2:38Speaker 3: we you know, me and Bruce will be down getting
- 2:39Speaker 3: you out.
- 2:40Speaker 1: Of the and I wouldn't be here today do the podcast.
- 2:42Speaker 1: It's really good if you get called. I know at
- 2:44Speaker 1: first you feel like, oh, I don't want to do it,
- 2:47Speaker 1: but there's something about civic duty that the experience. It's
- 2:51Speaker 1: really good for myself. Now, I was only there for
- 2:53Speaker 1: like six hours, and I'm I don't have to go
- 2:55Speaker 1: again for five years. But nevertheless, that's where I was
- 2:58Speaker 1: yesterday at least. But my friends, it is so Netflix
- 3:02Speaker 1: are going to pull the plug on with love Megan.
- 3:05Speaker 1: Meghan has a Christmas special coming out. I'm told that's it.
- 3:08Speaker 1: It's a rap. So she got two seasons out of it.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Didn't do very well. It was okay, it didn't really
- 3:13Speaker 1: sort of take off. They're doing a big Christmas special.
- 3:15Speaker 1: She's got a big trailer for that out right now.
- 3:18Speaker 1: It looks kind of cute. It looks like one of
- 3:20Speaker 1: those Martha Stewart type at home for Christmas. It's very
- 3:23Speaker 1: well shot, she's quite sweet in it, but it just
- 3:26Speaker 1: didn't catch on. And this is what happens. It doesn't
- 3:29Speaker 1: matter if you were Megan Mikael, Drew, Barrymore or anybody
- 3:32Speaker 1: else on television. If you don't get ratings, they just
- 3:35Speaker 1: stop making it. So they gave her two seasons. There
- 3:38Speaker 1: is no shame in that. Having two seasons of a
- 3:41Speaker 1: Netflix show is great. She also got a special out
- 3:43Speaker 1: of it. I'm not quite sure it was worth all
- 3:46Speaker 1: the money they paid, but nevertheless, she did her work,
- 3:50Speaker 1: they gave her the money. Now it's probably, well, not probably.
- 3:54Speaker 1: My sources are telling me it's absolutely done. It's a
- 3:56Speaker 1: quiet cancelation. What they do. A lot of people do this,
- 4:00Speaker 1: a lot of networks, Bravo particularly, They don't ever cancel shows.
- 4:04Speaker 1: They just put them on hiatus and then they never
- 4:07Speaker 1: really sort of come back, and so not going to
- 4:10Speaker 1: come back. The Christmas special though, if you've got an
- 4:13Speaker 1: hour or so, it's sort of got me inifested move.
- 4:15Speaker 1: The problem with it for me is it was clearly
- 4:18Speaker 1: shot in July in California. She's walking around in a
- 4:21Speaker 1: sweater and it's got to be hot. Yeah, I agree,
- 4:25Speaker 1: is out there didn't quite feel authentic. You know what.
- 4:30Speaker 1: The big thing this is what a friend of mine said.
- 4:32Speaker 1: It's really stuck with me. People that love crafting, crafty people,
- 4:37Speaker 1: they love it, They're obsessed with it. I don't think
- 4:41Speaker 1: Megan is. I think she saw an opportunity. I think
- 4:43Speaker 1: she enjoys crafting, but I don't think left to her
- 4:47Speaker 1: own devices, she's going to be making crochet. She's not crocheting.
- 4:52Speaker 1: I don't think it's her life. And people I know
- 4:55Speaker 1: in the craft world they love it. It's their life.
- 4:59Speaker 1: They a love it. We love our celebrity news. Some
- 5:02Speaker 1: people love theater. We all have passions, don't we. I
- 5:06Speaker 1: think Megan likes this. I don't think she's against crafting,
- 5:10Speaker 1: but I don't think she has the sort of passion
- 5:12Speaker 1: towards it as a Martha Stewart.
- 5:14Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, and I think that. Yeah, I agree with you.
- 5:17Speaker 2: I think that's the big mistake.
- 5:18Speaker 3: You know, we talk about that word authenticity so much
- 5:20Speaker 3: like it becomes a buzzword, but in reality, it is
- 5:23Speaker 3: how anyone succeeds. I talk about that in my leadership work.
- 5:26Speaker 3: You cannot lead people unless you are literally leading first
- 5:30Speaker 3: from your authenticity. And she faked it the whole time,
- 5:33Speaker 3: I guess right, and so people can see right through that,
- 5:35Speaker 3: even the detail you just mentioned.
- 5:37Speaker 2: You know what, you're doing a Christmas special. I remember
- 5:39Speaker 2: Julie Andrews did one years ago.
- 5:41Speaker 3: She was in Vienna, she was she filmed it in
- 5:43Speaker 3: July too, probably, but she found snow somewhere in the
- 5:46Speaker 3: world to make it authentic. And you know so, I
- 5:50Speaker 3: just think she made a lot of mistakes.
- 5:51Speaker 2: And don't forget she didn't promote it well herself.
- 5:54Speaker 1: She didn't didn't show up enough. I don't didn't do
- 5:56Speaker 1: interviews the world interview she did do is not getting
- 5:58Speaker 1: ridly cooled. So she's on the cover of She Looks.
- 6:03Speaker 2: I agree.
- 6:04Speaker 1: I like the look. I think she looks so powerful.
- 6:06Speaker 1: They're very fashion. But I read the whole story a
- 6:09Speaker 1: little bit of a dull story. It's all about being positive,
- 6:12Speaker 1: and we encourage that here on the Naughty Potatia. But
- 6:14Speaker 1: shouldn't really give any any details or however, the reporter
- 6:18Speaker 1: did the opening sentence to this Harper's bizarre the opening
- 6:22Speaker 1: paragraph really again, because it's the most interesting detail in
- 6:27Speaker 1: the whole story. So Harper's they're not going to slam you.
- 6:30Speaker 2: It's not her the art.
- 6:31Speaker 1: It's a fashion magazine. They want puff pieces. I've had
- 6:34Speaker 1: celebrities who have done the cover. They're always beautiful pieces.
- 6:37Speaker 1: And really the article is quite short. It's the photo shoot.
- 6:39Speaker 1: They're want eight ten pages of gorgeous fashion. That's what
- 6:42Speaker 1: they did with Meghan. However, this reporter is genius. Her
- 6:47Speaker 1: name is Katelyn green Ridge. Will give her a shout
- 6:50Speaker 1: out because her opening sentence said she was at a
- 6:52Speaker 1: brownstone in Manhattan owned by one of Meghan's friends, and
- 6:58Speaker 1: the house mannered chair said the following she was sitting
- 7:02Speaker 1: on the couch waiting for Meghan to do the interview,
- 7:05Speaker 1: and suddenly the house manager walked in and suddenly proclaimed
- 7:08Speaker 1: out loud, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex announced there was only
- 7:16Speaker 1: two people in the house, that it wasn't what is
- 7:22Speaker 1: that all about. Well, insiders are telling me she's absolutely
- 7:25Speaker 1: obsessed with this royal connection. She really does care about it.
- 7:29Speaker 1: Meghan has done this before when she goes to visit
- 7:32Speaker 1: children at school, she announced she is proud that she
- 7:35Speaker 1: is the Duchess of Sussex. But once again, Corey, it's
- 7:38Speaker 1: that word you used, authenticity. She told us on one
- 7:42Speaker 1: of her cooking shows that she was just Meg and
- 7:44Speaker 1: he was just Harry and we're just normal people don't care.
- 7:48Speaker 1: She also made that big fuss when she first met Harry.
- 7:51Speaker 1: She said, I didn't even know what a royal family was.
- 7:54Speaker 1: And then we found pictures of her as a little
- 7:56Speaker 1: girl outside the palace way a flag. Who doesn't know? Yeah, Cory,
- 8:02Speaker 1: next time I see you, I want the bar manager
- 8:06Speaker 1: to announce of Stratford on toast. I want well. She
- 8:14Speaker 1: and now my royal experts are laughing because she got
- 8:17Speaker 1: that wrong too. This is what's meant to happen. When
- 8:20Speaker 1: you meet a king a queen. They don't announce the
- 8:23Speaker 1: king of the queen. They announced you because the assumption
- 8:27Speaker 1: is you.
- 8:27Speaker 2: Your visiting, it's the queen.
- 8:29Speaker 1: Yes. It's like if you meet Mariah Carey, they don't
- 8:32Speaker 1: say Corey, Mariah Carey exit. They say, is Mariah Carey? This?
- 8:37Speaker 1: May I present Corey? So what they should have said
- 8:40Speaker 1: is your majesty, may I present blah blah blahn. Remember
- 8:45Speaker 1: the at the Olympics, the twenty twelve Olympics where James
- 8:49Speaker 1: Bond Danel met the queen. Yes, he walked in and
- 8:53Speaker 1: they said, your majesty, may I present double O seven.
- 8:59Speaker 1: So you once again just being technical here, she got
- 9:03Speaker 1: it wrong.
- 9:03Speaker 3: But that's embarrassing. That's I mean, the way you just
- 9:06Speaker 3: explain that that's a real protocol. Yes, she screwed that up,
- 9:10Speaker 3: trying to be part of that protocol like that's a
- 9:12Speaker 3: double like girss, I love you by girls.
- 9:17Speaker 1: Oh, I can't wait next time I see her. I
- 9:19Speaker 1: so hope somebody will before she enters, Before she enters Bottinas,
- 9:23Speaker 1: I want somebody to walk in say say her full
- 9:28Speaker 1: ridiculous title, which they did get wrong, Megan Duchess of Sussex,
- 9:34Speaker 1: which brings us to our whole question of the day.
- 9:36Speaker 1: So Megan and I will not enter a room unless
- 9:37Speaker 1: you announce her as the Duchess of Sussex, even if
- 9:41Speaker 1: there's only two people in the room including Megan. Is
- 9:45Speaker 1: this silly? This just status? What do you think? Is
- 9:48Speaker 1: it's right or wrong? On Twitter page, she loves it,
- 9:54Speaker 1: She loves wouldn't cry if I was. If I married
- 9:57Speaker 1: into that family too, I would use that title every
- 10:00Speaker 1: minute of every time a necklace made at all life.
- 10:04Speaker 1: I would be constantly I get it.
- 10:06Speaker 2: Walmart, going to everywhere get your mail everywhere.
- 10:09Speaker 1: I wouldn't answer. If you sent me a letter and
- 10:11Speaker 1: didn't say your majesty on it, I wouldn't answer it.
- 10:13Speaker 1: No to say, so, what would you do here? What
- 10:16Speaker 1: do you think of votes on our Twitter page? I
- 10:18Speaker 1: Facebook page? Nobody goes it. I'd be sure to check
- 10:20Speaker 1: back on Monday to hear your results. What are you
- 10:23Speaker 1: working on? Core?
- 10:24Speaker 3: Oh gosh, as I draw my tears from that story,
- 10:26Speaker 3: I'm literally laughing in tears.
- 10:28Speaker 2: If you guys could see me, it's so funny. But anyway,
- 10:30Speaker 2: moving on, Yes.
- 10:31Speaker 3: So Savannah Guthrie, she's not smiling at this current situation
- 10:35Speaker 3: where she apparently found out that George Bush George Bush
- 10:38Speaker 3: w George Bush. That is, he called the Today Show
- 10:41Speaker 3: Jenna's dumb show. So basically the Today Show panel burst
- 10:45Speaker 3: into laughter when Jenna Bush Hagar admitted that her father,
- 10:48Speaker 3: former President George W. Bush, calls her program quote your
- 10:51Speaker 3: dumb show.
- 10:52Speaker 2: But one person was not laughing.
- 10:54Speaker 3: It was Savanna, and insiders tell hashtag shooter Scoop that
- 10:58Speaker 3: the tension was unmistakable. It was like in an instant
- 11:01Speaker 3: when she just kind of like she froze. She didn't
- 11:03Speaker 3: even respond the temperature just dropped. One production insider revealed
- 11:07Speaker 3: it usn't, so Jenna made it into a joke, you know,
- 11:10Speaker 3: and Carson laughed, the audience laughed, but Savannah was like
- 11:13Speaker 3: an oil painting on as she sat.
- 11:15Speaker 2: There frozen so on the air.
- 11:18Speaker 3: Jenna, of course, tried to shrug it off because it
- 11:20Speaker 3: was noticeable that Savannah did not find it funny. And
- 11:22Speaker 3: she was even then recounting how she was how she
- 11:25Speaker 3: had offered to bring cameras directly to texts, you know,
- 11:28Speaker 3: so she can do the show there from where her
- 11:30Speaker 3: father is, and he would say things like, I don't
- 11:32Speaker 3: watch your dumb show, she admitted, wearing a smile that
- 11:35Speaker 3: looked more like a grimace. But Savannah's reaction once again,
- 11:39Speaker 3: or lack of reaction, was louder than any punchline.
- 11:42Speaker 1: You know.
- 11:43Speaker 3: Apparently she's like fiercely devoted and protective of the show
- 11:46Speaker 3: and the show's integrity, very much like how Robin Roberts
- 11:50Speaker 3: is reportedly of her work at MC.
- 11:53Speaker 2: Yeah, so she's the same way.
- 11:55Speaker 3: And so even in jest, calling with the person's program
- 11:58Speaker 3: dumb hit a nerve and she didn't expect, you know,
- 12:00Speaker 3: she didn't respect the brand I guess then a thing.
- 12:02Speaker 1: So but it was a like joke, Ra, what do
- 12:05Speaker 1: you think I can go either way on this one?
- 12:07Speaker 1: Because I don't take myself seriously at all, but I
- 12:09Speaker 1: do take my work seriously. Yeah I do. Yeah, they
- 12:12Speaker 1: work really hard on this. I do. I do, And
- 12:14Speaker 1: so when people disrespect my work, it really it does
- 12:18Speaker 1: hurt me a little bit when you disrespect me. I
- 12:19Speaker 1: don't care like I am ridiculous, I am pretty doune,
- 12:24Speaker 1: but like the work itself is really really good. We
- 12:27Speaker 1: want the best, if not the best, celebrity podcast out there.
- 12:30Speaker 1: I can say that with my hand on my heart.
- 12:32Speaker 1: We know our stuff and the amount of work that
- 12:34Speaker 1: goes into this twenty minutes. We don't just sit down
- 12:38Speaker 1: out thoughts. And that's the mistake so many people make
- 12:40Speaker 1: with their podcasts. They think they can just put a
- 12:42Speaker 1: mic on a table at Bottina's and talk for twenty
- 12:44Speaker 1: minutes and it's dark, it's not interesting. It's not a
- 12:46Speaker 1: podcast that is cocktail conversation. This show is the real deal.
- 12:50Speaker 1: So I sort of see what Savannah says. I know Savannah.
- 12:52Speaker 1: I've known her for a long time. She's a lot
- 12:55Speaker 1: of fun. She's quite silly. She's really quite goofy. She
- 12:58Speaker 1: loves a good giggle, she's got quite a dirty sense
- 13:00Speaker 1: of humans. But when it comes to the work, she's
- 13:04Speaker 1: very very serious. Now, what I think you could say
- 13:06Speaker 1: here is her two hours of The Today Show, the
- 13:09Speaker 1: first two hours, which is full of news, world news, politics,
- 13:12Speaker 1: what's happening in the world. That's the serious show, and
- 13:15Speaker 1: that's the show that I think wins the awards. And
- 13:18Speaker 1: for EMM is the fourth hour. It was Kathi lean hot.
- 13:21Speaker 1: It was silly. Yeah, it's a silly hour. So I
- 13:24Speaker 1: do sort of get what the former president is saying.
- 13:27Speaker 1: I sort of get that Jenna thinks it's funny. But
- 13:29Speaker 1: I do also understand here people can be and maybe
- 13:32Speaker 1: should be, very sensitive when it comes to their work.
- 13:35Speaker 1: How about you, Corey. You can make fun of yourself,
- 13:38Speaker 1: but you take your work very seriously, both your your
- 13:40Speaker 1: your work as celebrity newsmaking, as a as an entertainment reporter,
- 13:45Speaker 1: but as a singer too. You take your work seriously.
- 13:47Speaker 2: I do, yeah, absolutely, and I think you're right.
- 13:49Speaker 3: I think it was something that was meant to be
- 13:50Speaker 3: a joke, but it cuts to the to the core
- 13:53Speaker 3: because you put time and effort into what you do.
- 13:56Speaker 2: And especially also because it's a former.
- 13:58Speaker 3: President, I think it sticks to you a little bit
- 14:00Speaker 3: more harshly because you know, that's someone who literally was
- 14:03Speaker 3: in the highest office and most kind of respected office
- 14:08Speaker 3: in the world. And so that's quite an insult to
- 14:12Speaker 3: think that a former president thinks you're dumb.
- 14:14Speaker 1: Right, right, That's that's so interesting, is it? You're so
- 14:16Speaker 1: right called. It's not just what they say. It's who
- 14:18Speaker 1: says he said.
- 14:21Speaker 2: If the plumber says it, who cares.
- 14:24Speaker 1: But if somebody you really respect say it. If Liz
- 14:27Speaker 1: Smith is no longer with us, legendary, if she says
- 14:31Speaker 1: would kill me, Yeah, your work's dumb, Robert, I'd be
- 14:33Speaker 1: so ciddy Adams said it, I'd be so's a legendary
- 14:37Speaker 1: columnist that's still with us. But it's right. It's who said.
- 14:39Speaker 1: It's not just what they said. Okay, quickly, before we
- 14:42Speaker 1: get a break. Princess Beatrice and Eugenie have been called
- 14:46Speaker 1: in a royal took of Wars. The disgrace parents really
- 14:49Speaker 1: are awful, terrible people. He's lost his prince, she's lost
- 14:53Speaker 1: her hr age. But the daughters, Princess Beatrice and Eugenie
- 14:58Speaker 1: kept theirs. So what's happening here if Charles doesn't want
- 15:01Speaker 1: to punish the children for their parents' crimes, and we
- 15:05Speaker 1: can really think that's a very good thing to do.
- 15:08Speaker 1: And so Charles has actually given them some official royal
- 15:11Speaker 1: work to do, to visits and hospitals, to do some charities.
- 15:14Speaker 1: They're still part of the working British Royal family. However,
- 15:18Speaker 1: their parents are who they are, and there's always going
- 15:21Speaker 1: to be a stay in a whisper and uncomfortable moment.
- 15:24Speaker 1: And so I'm told that the people who are feeling
- 15:26Speaker 1: this the most are the two young ladies. What do
- 15:30Speaker 1: they do? Are they loyal to their parents? Yes, of
- 15:33Speaker 1: course they are. They love their parents. They hate what
- 15:35Speaker 1: they did, but they love their parents. But loving their
- 15:38Speaker 1: parents is going to distance them from the firm, from
- 15:41Speaker 1: the company, from the palace. It's a complicated position to
- 15:45Speaker 1: be and I wish everyone the best there. I don't
- 15:46Speaker 1: have a solution here. It's really hard, isn't it. If
- 15:49Speaker 1: you know somebody, if you have a friend, if you
- 15:51Speaker 1: have a family member and they do something terrible and
- 15:53Speaker 1: they go to jail. Let's say you still love your parents,
- 15:57Speaker 1: you hate what they did, but can you keep working
- 16:00Speaker 1: in the company. Charles thinks, yes, I don't know if
- 16:02Speaker 1: this is ultimately going to work out, but we're going
- 16:05Speaker 1: to take a quick break. I know that, and we
- 16:07Speaker 1: will be back in a minute. Welcome back to the
- 16:11Speaker 1: naughty but nice show. It's flying by today. Or let's
- 16:15Speaker 1: get to the polls. So Wicked for Good bond with
- 16:20Speaker 1: the critics. It didn't get very good critical response, and
- 16:23Speaker 1: really concerning to the producers is Rotten Tomatoes, which is
- 16:26Speaker 1: sort of this guide. It's an aggregate of all the critics.
- 16:29Speaker 1: It is a weird thing, isn't it. But they do
- 16:31Speaker 1: love this, Like movie companies will look at this Rotten Tomatoes.
- 16:35Speaker 1: Wicked for Good got a much lower score than the
- 16:37Speaker 1: original Wicked, so they're expecting the second one to not
- 16:40Speaker 1: do as well. I get that the novelty might have
- 16:42Speaker 1: worn off a little bit. It is darker. It is
- 16:45Speaker 1: a much darker movie. I went to the premiere with
- 16:47Speaker 1: Miss d I went up to Lincoln Center. We watched
- 16:50Speaker 1: some movie. It was so much fun. Although honestly, I
- 16:54Speaker 1: hope the movie company is not listening. I'd rather have
- 16:56Speaker 1: gone on a Saturday wore sweatpants, like do you know
- 16:59Speaker 1: what I mean, I didn't need all the dressing up.
- 17:01Speaker 1: Cory became so lazy, You're so jaded these opportunities. I
- 17:07Speaker 1: have to be grateful for them, but honestly, a rainy
- 17:09Speaker 1: Sunday you and popcorn. That's Nevertheless, so they worried about this,
- 17:15Speaker 1: Will you see it? Are you planning to see it?
- 17:18Speaker 1: Seventy five percent said yes, that's good, that's sort of ware.
- 17:20Speaker 1: Often tomatoes is seventy five percent, the rest not. Don't
- 17:24Speaker 1: forget to vote on today's poul going to Twitter page.
- 17:27Speaker 1: I'd anordynize for rob at Facebook page and be sure
- 17:30Speaker 1: to check back on Monday to hear your results. And now, oh,
- 17:37Speaker 1: ins of THEA, yes, this is.
- 17:41Speaker 3: A very sweet story considering any of us who follow
- 17:43Speaker 3: Jennifer Andiston and know how closed off she can be
- 17:46Speaker 3: in protective So Jennifer Aniston and Jim Curtis are planning
- 17:49Speaker 3: their first festive season together and their inner circle could
- 17:52Speaker 3: not be happier because again, as I mentioned with Jen,
- 17:55Speaker 3: she's usually very stand offish, and so you know she's
- 17:58Speaker 3: stepping into this holiday though with whole new kind of
- 18:00Speaker 3: sparkle and insiders whispers to hashtag shooter Scoop that she'll
- 18:04Speaker 3: be spending it wrapped up in the company of wellness
- 18:07Speaker 3: entrepreneur Jim Curtis. Now, the pair have been quietly deepening
- 18:10Speaker 3: their connection throughout the fall, and now they're planning to
- 18:13Speaker 3: spend the holiday side by side, marking what friends say
- 18:15Speaker 3: is a quote meaningful milestone. And this is another quote
- 18:19Speaker 3: that someone has shared with hashtag shooter Scoop that Jen
- 18:21Speaker 3: does not spend the holidays with just anyone. The insider
- 18:25Speaker 3: tells us that it's her most intimate time of year,
- 18:28Speaker 3: close friends, family traditions, very private, so Jim being involved
- 18:32Speaker 3: is a very big deal.
- 18:34Speaker 2: Yeah. So according to her a list's closest friends.
- 18:36Speaker 3: You know, this is this is a big deal and
- 18:38Speaker 3: they're happy for her. And I am too because we
- 18:40Speaker 3: know she's you know, we know she's been through it,
- 18:42Speaker 3: even going back to like when Brad Pitt, like you know,
- 18:44Speaker 3: left her Fraglena. She's been having a hard time in love.
- 18:47Speaker 1: So, oh has it good for Jen? Good for Jen?
- 18:50Speaker 1: I know she's the day. It's Pusha Williams, who's a
- 18:52Speaker 1: real high swipe. She was in Atlanta after confrontation on
- 18:56Speaker 1: a plane escalated into what I'm saying is a physical
- 18:59Speaker 1: dispute tensions were higher. Passenger says both women were separated
- 19:04Speaker 1: and Interviewed's team is calling it out, saying it's absolutely
- 19:09Speaker 1: false and defamatory, and Porsche was the victim here, aren't
- 19:13Speaker 1: they always? And the FBI is looking at this case.
- 19:18Speaker 1: No arrests were made. It's just so messy. They had
- 19:21Speaker 1: a brilliant brother can They were in Vegas. They celebrated
- 19:25Speaker 1: how sloppy and funny and roughty that brand is. And
- 19:28Speaker 1: then what happens. One of them jumps on a plane
- 19:30Speaker 1: gets into issue that it just I get it. These ladies,
- 19:33Speaker 1: they are taught that bad behavior is rewarded on television.
- 19:37Speaker 1: It's not rewarded on aeroplanes or anywhere else. And normally
- 19:40Speaker 1: said of the day, get it together. Let's end with
- 19:42Speaker 1: the moment of rub When you're triggered, the smartest move
- 19:47Speaker 1: you can make is to stay silent. But it is smart.
- 19:50Speaker 1: That's not weak, it's not passive. That is strategic. Silence
- 19:54Speaker 1: gives you the space to breathe, to observe, to choose
- 19:58Speaker 1: your response instead unleashing a reaction you might regret. You
- 20:03Speaker 1: win ninety nine percent of your battles by not talking.
- 20:06Speaker 1: That's so important. Don't take the bait. We are taught
- 20:11Speaker 1: in life to fight back, to jump back in, to
- 20:13Speaker 1: say something quickly. No. Ninety nine percent of battles are
- 20:17Speaker 1: one when you do not talk. That's what lawyers tell you.
- 20:20Speaker 1: If you get a court, shut up, if you get arrested,
- 20:23Speaker 1: say nothing. It's in that pause that you see people's
- 20:26Speaker 1: true intentions and most importantly, you stay in control of yourself.
- 20:32Speaker 1: Power is not loud, it's steady. So when you feel
- 20:36Speaker 1: that trigger spark, you know it. You feel it in
- 20:38Speaker 1: your tummy, don't you feel it on the back of
- 20:40Speaker 1: your neck. When you feel that spark, stop, stay quiet
- 20:46Speaker 1: and watch, and that's how you will win. It's easier
- 20:49Speaker 1: said than done, but start practicing. Noughties, we've got this,
- 20:53Speaker 1: and we've got this for the end of the week.
- 20:55Speaker 1: We're done for this week. Thank you so much for
- 20:58Speaker 1: listening to The Nordy but Nice with Robin Corey, a
- 21:01Speaker 1: production of Elvis Duran and iHeartRadio. Don't forget to subscribe
- 21:04Speaker 1: on the iHeartRadio app Apple podcast. Wherever you listen, leave
- 21:07Speaker 1: us a review if you can. They really do help
